365 Days from Rot to Hot (Pt. 3).
Find your colors. You could use AI, take a trip to Lowe’s (this is one of the things I did), or actually use a service, but sorting out what colors suit you is essential. A major part of building my blend and creating my personal style was based around finding things that suited me, and I do believe that you shouldn’t start buying clothes or putting a look together unless you know your undertone, have a grasp of your colors and your body type, understand your seasons, and are prepared to experiment with what you’ve learned. Finding your colors should be the first step you take, as it will make the process of creating looks easier and give you a general idea of what things will look good on you.
Search for inspiration and don’t hold yourself back. It’s your life; it’s your fashion; it’s your style. You can be as basic or as eccentric as you want. If you think Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber are goddesses, then take inspiration from them. If you’re a budding Betsey Johnson or a Lisa Frank and want to design your own clothes and make them even brighter, then do that. If you’re obsessed with Bella Hadid’s western era and want to chase your own wild horses, then go ahead. I’d recommend doing what I did and creating a number of Pinterest boards and using Instagram to create polyvore-like style and vision boards.
Set a reasonable budget and stick with it. You cannot spend more than you have, and it’s not wise to get into debt pursuing a lifestyle that you know you can’t afford in the long run. Create a reasonable budget and work with it; don’t try to work around it. I found myself shopping from Walmart, Meijer, Gap, and J. Crew Factory and looking for sales before I bought anything. Don’t jump into the process and waste your money buying everything straight off the racks; utilize stores like TJ Maxx, look for sales, use what you already have, and really make an effort to make your dollar stretch. Another part of working with your budget is not blowing it by shopping at Shein; if you buy something and then have to throw it out and rebuy it after 5 wears, you’re not actually getting any bang for your buck.
Utilize Pinterest and social media to find women that look like you. An integral part of creating your own blend and finding what works for you is seeing it on other women. I followed a number of women that looked like me and didn’t look like me, lived in areas of the world I found fascinating, and had tastes that I wouldn’t describe as mainstream. I used a number of different languages to search for the trends that I liked; I used Twitter and Instagram to look at hashtags; and I took total advantage of the resources I was able to access. I used magazines, went through online archives, and spent time building my ideal image. Was it perfect? No, but as time passed, it became more and more helpful, and it eventually became the Pinterest board that I use now and my main vision board.
Tie it all together and see how things work. I had to experiment with so many different looks, delete and recreate so many vision boards, and try things for myself. Am I a hairstylist? No, but I’m also not a billionaire, so I had to learn how to style my wigs to see what suited me. I went to stores to try things on, experimented with IG to see if certain pieces of jewelry would suit me, and had the time of my life during my experimentation phase. Collecting online images isn’t enough, and it’s very hard to actually get a grasp of what you like if you’re doing everything online. Try your lookout, put things together, adjust it as you please, and tie your loose ends up.
Pt. 4 to come next.

heyyyy hope ur having a good day, just requesting a drabble (if ur up to it) w maybe like James and a reader who feels like she has bad fashion taste, kind of niche so don't worry if u don't want to write it!
hii tysm for this request, it was so fun to write! hope your day is wonderful too <3
summary: james finds you stressing over your fashion sense
james potter x fem!reader
warnings: mild sexual implications
“Hey, sweetheart?” James calls as he comes out of the shower. You look up from your spot on the bedroom floor glumly, barely even able to make the most of this opportunity to look at your boyfriend with his shirt off. Perhaps if you ask him later on he’ll take it off again, just to make up for lost time.
“Hi,” You say, unsuccessfully attempting to insert some cheer into your voice. “Sorry, not dressed yet.”
“We’ve ages before we need to leave- you can go like that, if you want to.” He shrugs, eyebrows knitting together as he takes in your expression. You look down at your outfit; track-pants and a t-shirt out of James’ drawer. Definitely not appropriate attire for meeting friends for dinner and drinks. “Everything alright?”
“I don’t have anything to wear,” You sigh, sounding pathetic even to your own ears. The countless skirts, pants and tops strewn across your bedroom floor are evidence to the opposite, and you know you have nice clothing. Supply isn’t the issue, it’s your apparent lack of ability to select the right combination. “I can’t put together a nice outfit.”
“Sure you can,” James says easily, pulling on boxers and a t-shirt before joining you on the floor, his knee pressing against your thigh. “What about that lovely wrap skirt you wore to my parents’ house for lunch?”
“I don’t know what to wear it with.” You stare dejectedly at the offending item of clothing, which you’ve tried on with about six tops- including the one from last weekend- and taken off again. Nothing looks right, nothing feels like something you’d want to show up to dinner in. Shamefully, you’re struck with jealousy towards your other friends; Lily, with her grown-up outfits that might as well live in a fashion catalogue; Marlene always so effortless and cool; Mary in figure-hugging fabrics that make her look like a goddess. You don’t have the same ability, it seems, instead left totally incapable of even pairing jeans with a top that won’t make you feel as if you’re doing an impression of someone with taste vastly different to yours.
You sigh, growing more frustrated by the second. James, noticing, shuffles closer and wraps a strong arm around you. His wet hair sprinkles you as he turns to press a kind kiss to your cheek.
“Don’t stress over it, honey-girl. What’s got you so upset?”
“I don’t know.” You press your face to your knees where they’re pulled up, feeling stupid. “I don’t feel very… good, at this. Picking outfits. It’s silly.”
“It isn’t,” James is quick to correct. “But it’s not true, either- you have fantastic outfits, sweetheart. Did someone say otherwise?”
The truth is, nobody’s mentioned your fashion taste at all, really. That’s the problem- silly as it seems. In groups of friends, you’re nobody’s first choice for outfit advice, never the receiver of compliments on your clothing choices. You try really hard to wear clothing that’ll suit you, mimic outfits you see online or from the various stylish people in your life, but none of it feels or looks right. You always look so awkward, you think. Never quite correctly proportioned, never cohesively coloured or textured. You don’t know what you’re doing wrong, you only see the result of it in the mirror each morning.
“No,” You shake your head. “I just… feel as if none of my clothes look right, when I put them together. I haven’t got good style.”
It feels like such a shameful thing to admit, both for the childishness of the confession and the truth of it. You can hardly look at James- not for lack of trying on his part, as he squeezes you and presses a kiss to your cotton-clothed shoulder.
“That’s not the case at all!”
“It is a bit. It’s alright, Jamie, I’m being dramatic. It’s only frustrating me right now because I can’t find something good to wear tonight,” You assure him, voice muffled against your legs. You’re not trying to sound quite as sad as you do. “Sorry.”
He cups your cheek in one hand, so gently that you don’t realise he’s bringing your face up to his level until he’s done it. You blink quickly. “No sorries, my darling. C’mere.”
You’ll go crazy before you reject a cuddle from your boyfriend, so it’s with little resistance that you let him pull you halfway onto his lap and wrap you in his fresh shower smell and warmth. You’re almost lying down, head nestled under his chin and arms around his middle as he rubs gentle lines down your back.
“You,” He says thoughtfully, “Have really lovely taste in clothing. I know it’s true because I think it each time you come home from the shops and show me what you’ve bought, or try on things before we go out. I particularly love your taste in things during the winter time- not just because you use several of my jumpers- really, because you do such a wonderful job of choosing things that are lovely and interesting. I also love it when you mix colours, especially in the summer, because I know that I’ll have a much greater chance of matching flowers to your outfit when I buy them for you.”
You laugh despite yourself, sitting up a little and accepting the sweet kiss he offers you. James’ thumb draws soft circles on the skin on front of your ear, his fingers comforting in your hair.
“I’ve been the sillier of the two of us, really,” He goes on. “Not telling you how much I like all the things you wear. I didn’t realise you weren’t feeling pleased about your clothes, baby, I’ll be sure to let you know from now on.”
“It’s not something you’ve done wrong,” You frown, not wanting to fish for compliments. James gives you plenty of them; it’s not his fault if your specific fashion choices haven’t caught his attention, and you don’t want him to feel bad about it.
He considers this. “S’pose not, but it’s hardly going to be an issue for me to externalise a few more of my thoughts. Do it plenty already, don’t I?”
You breathe out another giggle. “Maybe.”
“‘Maybe’, she says,” James teases, digging his fingers into your ribs and laughing when you squirm away. “I mean it, though. I’ll only be being honest, and I hear that’s rather healthy for relationships.”
“Crazy,” You say sarcastically. There’s a brief lull, and you’re perfectly happy to stay in his arms like this as long as he’ll have you. “You really think it’s not so bad? My style?” “Not in the slightest, sweetheart. I love your style, I love all your clothes.” He confirms. You search his handsome face, his dimples, his kind eyes, and find only patient assurance. “Still, it matters quite a lot less what I think; if you’re unhappy, we can go shopping and find some new outfits for you to wear.”
You sigh. “I’m not sure that’ll help. I’m worried that I don’t have the ability to pick the right stuff, I… I don’t even think I really know what my style is.”
“Well, we could ask for help if you’d like it. I’m sure our friends would be happy to lend a hand- or if you’re not keen on it, we could spend a little while trying out different styles to find what suits you the best. Whatever would make you happy, angel.”
You’re a little overwhelmed with how much you like and love your boyfriend, so instead of attempting to express it you press your lips to his, pleased as ever when he moves his hands to your waist and pulls you closer to his chest. You’re sure you could stay like this forever, happy and together on the floor of your bedroom, but your phone’s alarm reminds you that it’s time to get ready. You pull yourself reluctantly off James, who’s looking a little dazed himself, and let out a long breath.
“You’re very kind, Jamie,” You say. He grins.
“Could show you how kind, if you-” “Mm-mm.” You shake your head before you can be too tempted by the tickle of his calloused fingertips under the edge of your t-shirt. “We have to leave in half an hour, and I do have to decide on something to wear tonight.”
He groans as if you’re telling him you’ll never kiss him again, sitting up properly and letting you climb off his lap. “You’re far too responsible, sweetheart. It’s your sole flaw.”
You pat his cheek. “I’ll make it up to you later. For now-” You survey the piles of clothing around you- “I suppose I’d better just choose something I’ve worn before.”
James gets to his feet, looking at the sum of your side of the wardrobe and humming contemplatively. “Well, nothing wrong with that.”
“Mm,” You half-agree.
He bends down and grabs a black longsleeve in one hand, your jeans in the other. “This always looks good, don’t you think? I could lend you one of my jackets to go with it.”
You nod without giving yourself time to stress about all the other times you’ve worn something similar, smiling fondly up at James’ hopeful expression. “That’s a good idea. Thank you.” “It’s no hardship, angel,” He says lightly, handing you the clothes. “Just don’t overthink it, yeah? You’re so pretty.” You look away to hide your blush, still shy when he compliments you so earnestly, and James makes a happy sort of sound. “And cute, I mean-”
“Okay, enough!” You laugh, taking the clothing just to shut him up.

My Neito Monoma Headcanons..
His body is literally covered in beautify marks. he has one on his cheek, they're all over his back, there's a few on his chest and neck, he has some on his arms, legs and even between his fingers. Literally everywhere
Absolutely insane social anxiety. Especially online. But he powers through it like the sigma he is, putting on a brave face for the world. He thinks he's beat his anxiety because he just ignores it but he still feels a pool of dread and terror in his stomach whenever he unlocks his phone
Neito loves anime. He's not afraid to admit it and he shames those who hate on the media. He especially watches cheesy romance ones but he enjoys Haikyu and Mob Psycho 100. He started JJK but dropped it because he hated it
His fashion sense consists of a lot of vests and cardigans. He wears button ups with sleeves that go just a little over his arms but he usually rolls them up. But he also wears more dramatic clothing. Ouji fashion is something he's inspired by a lot. Either he wears something very comfortable or something very.. not comfortable and there's no in between. sweatshirt or complex layered suit..
He used to wear braces but had them removed before he went to UA. He hated them. He absolutely hated them and was so embarrassed but everyone told him they made him look cute so now he has mixed feelings on them. Talking about it would totally make him freak out though. It's like a little secret he likes to hide
He doesn't know what his music taste is. He listens to both VKEI, Vocaloid and also enjoys classical music. He wants to label himself as an enjoyer of One specific genre but there's so many that he listens to
his playlist
(I don't listen to vkei, my friend helped me with this. I chose the songs but I don't know a thing about vkei)
He really loves Malice Mizer trust me and his favorite vocaloid is Rin
He's on the aromantic spectrum. He doesn't know WHERE he lies on there and he doesn't even realize he's there
He's never been to a waterpark. He barely knows how to swim and is terrified of water because of it. you will NOT catch him at a pool
Neito's real into writing. It's a need since he goes on never ending dramatic ass monologues. You have to have some interest in literature with the way he talks
He loves cats. He has three back at his house and didn't bring them to the dorms only because Mr. Kan told him he couldn't. But he's a huge cat person. More than you'd think. He talks about his cats like they're equal to him (because they are.) When he refers to his cats, he always makes his words so ominous. They're great powerful beings that are deserving of a royal castle. He's the phantom thief that serves their every desire. Talk shit about his cats and he'll hate you for the rest of your life
He's terrified of dogs. He actually freaks out when he sees one. He was bit on the ear by a dog when he was younger. He was just chillin and then BAM! big ass chomp. Now he doesn't fw dogs. Big dogs, small dogs, it doesn't matter if they're cute. He'll be absolutely petrified. Especially when they bark. and JUMP. Oh my god he'll scream and run away
Neito has sibling banter with the rest of his class. All.The.Time.
He talks very high of himself but he talks even higher about his class. He puts them on a higher pedestal than himself (which is really high since he's incredibly insecure.) Class A compliments a classmate, he'll compliment his classmates even HIGHER
This is canon but I'm amplifying it. Very sarcastic. And he says everything with his big, crazy smile, wide eyed. He even smiles widely when he's typing a sarcastic remark. He might even say it out loud AS he types.
He loves tea. one of his favorite drinks. Especially sweet tea. He LOVES sweets. Cakes, candies, ice cream. All sweets
He has no spice tolerance… but he eats spicy foods anyways and pretends like it's no problem for him. His eyes will be streaming tears and he's like "Nooo reaction.." like the tiktok spice kings. He also eats it A LOT. So you'd think he'd build up his tolerance but it just never happens. And his signature wide grin remains. He's crying, trembling, steam rushing out of his mouth as he turns to kendo "This is a breeze. I'm just fine! This is perfect!" and he like passes out a second later, face first into his plate of unfinished buldak ramen. Hopeless
Neito finds dad jokes absolutely hilarious and laughs big and loud at them. He's just a silly guy
Terrible at dancing. So terrible. One time he twisted his ankle while doing a move that doesn't even involve his feet. To make it worse, Mina was watching as he did it and she couldn't help but laugh but he had no visible embarrassment at all. He was just like "YOU WON'T TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT FOR LONG, CLASS 1-A!" or some bullshit.
He loves tomato sandwiches…. They're so good he loves them BELIEVE ME. He actually just loves sandwiches and tomato's and he thinks combining it was the best achievement the human race has ever made
Bipolar disorder. Sorry I don't make the rules. As someone who suffers from bipolar disorder, he has it trust me. Rapid cycling bipolar. His classmates were absolutely freaked out when he went into a depressive episode for the first time after they moved into the dorms and he had to explain to them he's just like that
Autism.
He wears girls perfume. He's not afraid to embrace femininity at all. He thinks perfume just smells way better than cologne too
He knows how to play the piano and violin. He's better at the violin because he's played it for years but he's just a beginner on the piano
Perfect nail care. He doesn't paint colors on his nails but he gives himself manicures and is great at it too. But if you ask him to paint your nails, he'll be the messiest at it ever. He can't paint others nails for the life of him
Favorite fruit and way to eat it is strawberries in sugar. He doesn't like strawberries on their own because sometimes they're a bit tart and the overwhelming tartness makes him BUG OUT
In middle school he really wanted to dye his hair a crazy color but his mom never let him
Absolutely a middle child. Kinda adds into his whole want for attention (it's not JUST because of class 1-A)
Perfect skin routine. He takes hours in the bathroom before bed and in the morning. When he gets a pimple, he's literally attached to Rin's leg, crying, sobbing about how his life is over
He hates soda and prefers juice but still drinks Ramune
Can't cook eggs right no matter what. He's great in the kitchen but whenever it comes to eggs, it's like the whole world is working against him
In an alternate universe, he's a pro hero that kills giant alien flies and his hero name is fly swatter and he has support weapons that are large fly swatters with an electric current and he has support wigs that are also giant fly swatters. In universe he doesn't have a quirk but still managed to become a pro. He's ranked the lowest
ugly doodle
ALL THE ART HERE IS MADE BY ME!! PLEASE DON'T STEAL!!!
I've seen a few rp blogs share their headcanons so I thought I'd do the same because I love them so much
i wanted to make him such a loser i hope it worked

idk. To me it just seems more likely that they have separate rooms. Bc why would Phil put his closet and bathroom in a a different room than the one he sleeps in? He'd have to go to the green room to shower and get ready. That's such an inconvenience. I think the green room is probably just Phil's room. There's no trace of Phil in the other room either, whereas the green room seems to be more his style. Idt the picture or phil's books being on the shelf confirms anything bc they'd just moved in and might have put whatever they had unpacked on the shelf to make it seem less empty. That bed also seems way too small for two people over 6'. I'm not saying that them potentially not sharing a room/sleeping in the same bed means they're not together. There are numerous reasons why a couple might want to have separate rooms or not share a bed. I just wouldn't take it as a foregone conclusion that they share a room when there's quite a bit of evidence to the contrary.
my haunches go up when i detect a patronizing tone. so forgive me if this comes off as harsh.
'quite a bit of evidence to the contrary' is a very strong claim to make when the pictures we have feature both of their things intertwined; phil's phlonde selfie is in that room; dan says if phil fills this room with cardboard boxes, he'll poo on the floor (if it wasn't his room, why would phil leave boxes in it); they had to have a discussion on putting carpet on the floor vs hardwood (separate bedrooms they couldve done whatever they liked); and dan only ever calls it 'the bedroom'--missing the possessive adjective.
'theres no trace of phil in the other room either' - it'd hard to tell which room you mean here, so i'll cover both. his stuff is in there, firstly. the 'maybe they needed to fill it for a picture' excuse is based off of nothing. next, consider the rest of the house: is there anything in the office that screams phil? what about the kitchen? or the dining room? or the lounge? i think dnp have much more compatible styles than people realize--he even says in the keep or yeet video that he doesnt wear super bright colours anymore. his rooms used to embody 'geek core'--and remember, we haven't seen phil's actual room since their first london apartment. and not that people can't keep their style while they grow up, but maybe his tastes changed. especially when his bedroom was no longer his video background. yknow, the one that was supposed to compliment his online persona and be the main part of his branding?
and the 'green room seems more his style' because the wall is green? there's literally nothing else in that room. no art on the walls, beyond the japan trip bamboo paintings from his dad, nothing on tables, no chairs--we haven't even seen the bed. what in that room seems more phil? not to mention them saying the green towels were in the guest bathroom.
re: the bed. we haven't seen a full picture of the bed. we've gotten the catboy pictures, and it looks to me like there's room for 2 people in it. like maybe they don't own a king bed, but i don't know how a queen mattress wouldn't be able to fit them. (i say this as someone with a double--there's no fucking way it's a double) sure they're long, but be fr.
in terms of the convenience of getting ready--they didn't used to have an en suite bathroom. he can walk, he'll be fine. again, we don't know where the closet is. phil seems like the kind of guy to just hang out in his pjs if he doesnt have to get ready for something. so putting his clothes near the shower/bathroom would be convenient, instead of both of them wrestling over one. and it kind of has to be by a bathroom, as why else would dan need clothes when he had to borrow some when the builders had blocked off his closet?
you're saying this isn't you claiming they aren't together, which, okay fine, but to me it sounds like another person overcomplicating their relationship. why are you so adamant they don't share one? genuinely, all you've presented is theories and opinions supported by no evidence. if they do share one, cool! if they don't, cool!
i don't enjoy being talked down to, and if that wasn't your intention, i apologize, but the way this was presented is very antagonizing.
#it's just a bedroom. it's not that serious. but it also is that serious.#thank you for sharing your opinion; i dont agree#but we're allowed to disagree. i just didn't appreciate the tone of this message.#dnp#c.text#phan#answered

The Row - Just Us Chapter 52
Warnings: None
Word Count: 2888
Series List | Chapter 51 | Chapter 53
================================
I pull Wanda into the shop, her body moving closer to mine as we enter so I unlink our arms and move mine around her shoulders keeping her close to my left side. Her right hand moves up across her chest, to grab my hand that is relaxed near her left collar bone. She grabs onto it, linking our fingers together as she leans more of her body into me.
"Do you remember where you saw the suit?"
"I think it was called The Row."
"Very good taste." I look down to Wanda, who is looking at the list of all the designers here. Let me tell you it's a lot. "Are you doing okay?"
"Yeah, I feel a little out of place in my mom jeans and your shirt but I'm doing okay."
"Well let's head to the section with The Row and we will be in and out of here as quick as you need."
"Thank you baby."
"Of course princess."
I pull Wanda around SAKS leading us where we need to be, but also taking my time so she can have a look around and decide if she wants to look at something else. It seems like she is only here to look at the suit though, as she looks around but shows no interest letting me walk us where we need to be. When Wanda sees the sign for The Row her eyes light up and she bounces on her toes in excitement, practically pulling me into the section. I can see her eyes searching for what I can only assume to be the suit, a look of disappointment spreads across her face when she doesn't see it.
"Hi, how can I help you two lovely ladies today?" The sales assistant, a young short blonde puts on her best customer service smile as she walks over to us.
"Uh, hi. So I saw something online that I liked and hoped you would have it here but can't seem to see it." Wanda's eyes keep darting around looking at the range of clothes they have.
"That's no problem. I have some catalogues here with everything in it. Just tell me what you saw and I can sort something out for you." We follow the woman to the counter as she brings out a few small laminated clothing catalogues, one labelled dresses, on labelled suits, one labelled day wear and the final one is shoes and accessories.
"It was this red velvet suit sort of thing."
"The jacket and pants right?" The lady flicks through the catalogue pulling up the page with the suit on, my eyes go wide already anticipating how fucking hot she is going to be wearing it.
"That's the one there yeah."
"So we don't stock it in our shop, but if I get your measurements we can have it ready for you by Friday, as I can put a priority on this thing if you need me to."
Wanda looks up at me then back down to the picture of the suit. I can tell she is having an internal battle with herself, I know she wants it but I also know she doesn't like the idea of me spending money on her. I lift her chin with my finger, as she bites her lip nervously but I simply use my thumb to pull it out.
"We can get it if you want it?"
"I really want it but…"
"Then let me get it for you." From the corner of my eye, the lady silently 'ohs' in understanding leaving to tend to another shopper while me and Wanda have this conversation. "Okay I know we made a deal but what about this. You choose three outfits today of your choice, I will get them for you today and you can get measured for it all. So when I say outfit it means shoes and accessories too. Then that will be it. You will have three outfits from The Row and I never have to buy you expensive clothes again."
"I like that idea better, because it won't always be in the back of my mind that you will be spending ridiculous amounts of money one me."
"Money comes easy to me Wanda, but we can learn and work together. You at getting better at accepting that I want to spend my money on you and I will hold back on the spending too much until you are comfortable. And if you aren't ever comfortable then that is fine too, I just want you to be comfortable with the fact that in my life right now it comes easily to me."
"I will try."
"That's all I ask." She stands on her tiptoes to give my lips a peck. "So what do you want to do?"
"Can we do the three outfits thing?"
"Of course we can." Wanda stands in front of me, pushing her arms under my coat as she wraps them around my body, locking her hands together at the bottom of my back. Her chin resting on my chest as she puckers her lips up at me, I bend down giving her a few gentle pecks. We break apart with a smile when the lady makes her way back to the counter, now finished with the other customer. Wanda let's go of me turning around to face the lady, her back pressed to my front and I gently rest my hands on her waist as I rest my chin on the top of her head.
"So have you ladies decided on what to go for?" Once again a winning customer service smile on her face.
"So I would like to go for the suit, then maybe look at some different things you have."
"That's perfect, are we getting you measured today?"
"Yes please. Am I able to browse the catalogues as you do so?"
"Of course. Your girlfriend can join us in the back if that makes it easier for you two." She looks between me and Wanda, I'm starting to think that the smile isn't that fake.
"Yes please. Baby?"
"Of course I will grab the catalogues while you and the lady get settled. Sorry what's your name so I don't have to keep calling you lady?" She huffs out a laugh holding her hand out which I shake.
"The names Paula. You two are."
"I'm Y/n and this my Wanda."
"Very nice to meet you both. Wanda if you would like to follow me though to the back, Y/n join us when you're ready. Also would either of you like a drink at all? Tea? Coffee?"
"I will take a tea please." Wanda says following the lady as I grab the catalogues.
"Water is fine for me thanks "
"Perfect. Why don't you two surf the catalogues while I make them for you." She disappears into another side room while me and Wanda take a seat opening up the dress catalogue first.
Wanda flicks through the pages, asking for my input on certain things as she hums a random tune out. She suddenly stops flicking her hand resting on the page, as her finger brushes over the picture of the dress she has seen. I know it's the one the moment she sets her eyes on it, a soft smile makes its way onto her lips as her eyes scan the dress up and down. Her finger traces the outline of the dress, before resting her hand flat against it.
"This one is perfect." Wanda turns to look at me, tilting the catalogue so I can see what she is one about and I bite my lip when I see the dress.
"What shoes and accessories are you going for?"
"Just some heels and maybe earrings. Nothing too in your face."
"Any more dresses you're looking at."
"No, I think I want to get another suit though, and er, maybe a coat?" She mumbles the last bit, but I catch it.
"So another suit, and a coat. And then just shoes and accessories to go with each." I state, so she knows I'm okay with it.
"Yeah so it would be one dress, 2 suits and a coat. Are you sure it's okay baby?"
"I am perfectly sure princess. I want to spoil you rotten." She quickly pecks my lips and starts scanning the other catalogue as Paula returns.
"Okay so here is the tea and the water. Wanda if you could come and stand up here. Y/n you can stand next to her, to help her browse but you might have to do some shuffling around while I measure."
"Okay. Ready princess?"
"Ready."
I stand up from my chair, placing the catalogues on my seat and hold out my hand palm up for Wanda to take. She gently places her palm in mine, my fingers wrap around her hand as I hoist her up from the chair. I bend down to grab the catalogues in my other hand, wrapping my arm around Wanda's shoulder while her arm remains in front of her, our hands still holding one another. We walk up to the small stand, that's about half a foot of the ground; and surrounded by 3 or 4 mirrors. I let go of Wanda's hand holding mine out palm up again. She rests her hand in mine as she steps up on the stand getting herself situated.
"Such a gentlewoman. Sometimes I wish I was gay." Me and Wanda share a confused look at Paula as we both laugh. "I just mean the most my boyfriend does is buy me flowers on my birthday."
"Oh yeah, men are imbeciles. Been there, done that, never again though." Wanda remarks, laughing as the lady gives an impressed smile and nod.
"So is it as good as they say? You know being with a woman compared to a man?" I try to ignore the conversation as I start looking through the suit catalogue for ideas.
"Mhmm, one thousand percent better." I quirk a brow. "You my dear are missing out on a good time. Dump that lazy ass boyfriend of yours and get yourself a lady."
"Maybe I will. So how long have you two been together." The lady starts up a conversation as she starts to measure Wanda's legs with a small hand held tape measure.
"What's the date today baby?" I open my phone to double check.
"It's the 5th lyubov."
"Okay so that puts us at 3 weeks 4 days. Okay wow, I didn't realise it hadn't been not that long. I swear it feels like we have been together for months." I quickly do the maths in my head and my jaw drops.
"Oh wow, yeah you're right." I just shrug. "We are just being your stereotypical useless lesbians."
"Wait so we said I love you to each other exactly 3 weeks into knowing each other."
"Wait, wait, wait. You guys have already said 'I love you' to each other?" The lady stops what she is doing to look between the both of us wide eyed.
"Yeah, but I honestly thought we had been together longer. I swear it was longer." I scratch my head slightly confused at how quickly we have actually moved through this relationship.
"Nope." Wanda pops her the P. "We met on the tenth of last month."
"Well fuck me, that's kinda crazy lyubov." Wanda shrugs as she looks at me through the mirror.
"Like you said we are just some good ole useless lesbians."
"Okay, anyway. So we have the dress, the suit you just need to choose the other suit and coat you want. Any ideas?"
"Are there any white suits in there?"
"There is." I start flicking the section with white dresses, while Paula moves around me. I hold the book open in one hand, and Wanda flicks through it herself, her eyes searching every page. Her eyes land on something she likes the look of, as they scan the page.
"What about this one dorogoy?"
"Well this is for you, so it's your choice."
"You're no help, I want your opinion. Like if I wore this would you take me to one of the Stark Gala's or not."
"I would love to show you off wearing that princess."
"Correct answer."
"So that one." I point to the suit to make sure she is happy.
"That one."
"Okay guys, as cute as this is Wanda I need your arms up and out for me so I can get those measurements."
Wanda complies, holding her arms out in the air, I move to stand in front of her, drinking her all in. I can't believe she is mine. I open up the catalogue that has the coats and hold the one with accessories in it under my arm, the rest go to the floor So I don't get in the way of Paula. I flick through them myself to gain an idea of what they do and pick out some favourites I think Wanda would like. As Paula moves to behind Wanda I turn the catalogue to face her showing her each of the ones I picked. As I flick the pages she scrunches her nose shaking her head a lot not really feeling any of them, not until the last one.
"Ooo I really like that one baby." Paula peaks out from behind Wanda.
"We keep that one in store since we don't need measurements for it really. You can try it on once I'm done here."
"Perfect thank you Paula. Are shoes and accessories here or is it easier to order them to come with the made to measure stuff."
"Depends what you would like. We stock some stuff, but it is mostly easier to order it to arrive with the made to measure stuff." Paula finishes up wrapping the tape measure gently over her shoulders. "So what is it we are going for then ladies."
"The red velvet suit, with a white button up. The shoulder to floor white dress with these earrings and these heels. And then this suit here, and this coat."
"Perfect I will get it put through the till." Paula walks off to the counter to get it ready for payment as I once again hold my hand out to Wanda as she steps off the stand. She instinctively links our arms together as we both walk on time over to the counter. Paula walks back to us holding the coat in her hands, which Wanda takes putting it on herself. She double checks what she looks like in the mirror, then turns to me for my opinion but when she see my lip between my teeth she knows my answer so turns back to Paula nodding and handing the coat back.
"So which one do you want to wear this Friday princess?"
"Still the red one." I nod as I turn to Paula.
"Can we put a rush on the red suit. We need it for Friday if that's possible? I know it's Tuesday already…."
"We can put a rush on it, it will be ready for Friday morning where you can collect it from us."
"Perfect."
"Okay so the three outfits, accessories, shoes and coat all come to a total of…"
"I don't need to know, that's okay, just set up the card machine." Paula's eyes flick between me and Wanda and I can feel Wanda's eyes burning a hole in the side of my head.
"Okay, uh, well it should be ready for you." I swipe and sign and soon enough Paula hands over the receipt which I hand to Wanda. She immediately looks at the total price biting her lip a little.
"See I didn't want you to know because you might have said no, so now you have 3 new outfits for plenty of occasions and there isn't a thing you can do to stop me." Wanda just nods as her eyes scan the bit of paper over each individual price, while I grab the bag with the coat in it.
"Oh so your a sugar mama. Damn I really should turn to women." Wanda smiles up at Paula and I'm thankful for the topic change.
"You definitely should. It changes everything."
"Well you two lovely ladies enjoy the rest of your week and I will see you Friday when you come to collect the suit." She holds out her hand and we both give her a handshake before we turn to exit the shop. I wrap my arm around Wanda's sounders pulling her close to me.
"You okay princess?" I check in knowing her brain is going over the amount of money I just spent on her.
"I'm good. I'm okay. It's just something I'm going to have to get used to."
"It will take time, but like I said before you now have three new outfits and we don't have to do this again in a long while if it makes you more comfortable."
"Thank you Y/n. I mean it. I love you"
"I love you too Princess. Anywhere else you want to go?" I look down at her smirking when I see her lip gently between her teeth her pupils dilated so I change my question. "Yours or mine?"
"Mine."

How involved are you in the Lolita community? As someone who dresses historical inspired (and thus, some of my clothing dips into lolita)—I find the community, especially the international community, utterly exhausting to be around.
I'm an artist, I work at an art gallery—and I find the community to be somehow even more pretentious of an environment. It's like the attitudes of millionaires into couture combined with the same obsession weebs have with Japan and anime.
I'm a plus sized person, so if I buy something lolita, it tends to be a non-patterned dupe/replica that I alter to better suit my tastes and I made the mistake or mentioning this and people online within the lolita community were furious—telling me that I don't "deserve to be in the community"... I have no desire to go to meet-ups with people THAT pretentious, especially about clothing.
I saw your posts about your opinions on replicas, so I wanted to know—what are your opinions about the lolita community?
Are we talking about the local lolita community that banned the four most openly disabled people in the group for saying that banning someone without giving a reason was shitty and then openly saying that it was because someone was mentally ill was even more shitty?
Or are we talking about the communities that I've joined and helped build and try to create an open space. The lolita community that I'm the most active on is my own discord server, which has like 250ish members and which follows rules that I made up and think make sense.
But prior to joining the local community that I was later banned from, I spent 10 years being lone lolita. This meant that I had to get used to ideas like, "I'm going to wear what I want to whatever events that I want. It doesn't matter if there's no one else to wear it with me. I'll post it on my own social media, and if people like it, then that feels great!"
And this gave me a really interesting power, which was that when someone tried to take the local community away from me, I was offended that it happened, but no one could take the fashion away from me, because my relationship with lolita fashion is not based in a community. I like being in a community, but the fashion is mine and no one can take that away from me.
I've had people ask me before how I made a successful lolita blog, and the secret that I tell people is to find a void in what people offer, and do what I can to fill that. I started this blog because I needed more lolita things in my life, and I didn't have resources to help me make them. I figured that if I needed this resource, other people probably did too. Sharing the resource was public, but the things I was making, I was making for me. But that's what it was, finding something that I wanted to do and was passionate about and that no one else was doing.
With regards to replicas, the main thing that I absolutely cannot stand about the mainstream lolita community is the idea that replica dresses are bad, but replica shoes are fine. I've bitched about it before when people say that print replicas are theft and design replicas aren't. The community has partially changed about that, but I still get people saying, "well, replica shoes are different!" and when you ask why, no one has an answer that doesn't sound like bullshit. At the end of the day, you have to look at your own morals and the consequences for your actions. There's a lot of places where posting coords with replicas (except fucking shoes for some weird ass reason) is prohibited. If you want to participate in that group, you have to respect their rules. I absolutely fully respect groups to be able to make absurd rules and then defend them like they're life-or-death, and as long as those rules aren't inherently excluding someone for something they don't control, that's fine. I'm in a facebook group where you get banned if you use the letter N (and don't remove it when called out by other group members). It's absolutely hilarious. If brands like Meta and Atelier Pierrot, as well as taobao brands on places like 42lolita, and the handmade lolita scene, didn't exist, banning replicas would actually be a rule that excluded people who were plus-size, but it's 2024 and there are options for extended size. There's not as many and they're not as good, but this isn't 2010 and we have options other than Qutieland resellers and having shopping services visit Laforet for you.
But if you're well-informed on the economics and global impact of replicas as well as that of mainstream lolita fashion, and you're okay with making the purchase when you have all the facts, and you're also okay with how wearing replicas is going to impact your lolita social life, go for it. You've already learned that there's places where people don't tolerate it. But at the end of the day we're all stupid people in stupid dresses, so wear what you like.
If you want a short answer: There's a lot of parts of the lolita community that I don't like, so I made my own. I think it's important to have my relationship with the fashion come from within me, and not from community involvement. It's nice to have lolita friends but It's just as valid to just wear what you want for the sake of wanting to wear it.
(I limit the number of people who can join the Discord at a time because I want to get a chance to meet people. I've recently had a lot of health problems and I'm just not mentally up to meeting a ton of new people and teaching them server culture. If anyone reading this finds this post and that link has been used up or expired, please message me and I'll get you a new one if I'm able).

hey there angel! 🥰 thank you so much for these, you chose some really interesting ones, excited to answer these 🤠. Alright.. here we go ┏ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ┛
4 do you like your name? why?: well, my actual name isn’t really Peach (sad 😿), it is Nikki. I guess it suits me, so in that sense I do like it! I actually have gone by Peach online for around 7-8 years, it is the nickname I was given by my online gaming friends!
6 describe your personality in 3 words or less: oooo I guess I’d say.. joyful, caring & honest (/・0・)
9 where do you shop? i have a massive collection of clothes in different styles, I have a bunch of designer items (I love Comme Des Garcons & Off White), streetwear brands (Stussy, Obey, Huf, Polar), but most of my closet consists of second hand items I thrifted on Vinted (any brand really)!!! I love myself a good steal and at the same time it feels great to recycle, this way I don’t have to feel so bad about my shopping addiction 🥲 (oops)
30 whats your favorite candle scent? i really enjoy scented candles, I also melt scented wax!! Picking a favorite is hard lol, but I’d probably say cedarwood is a good contender (ㆆ ᴗ ㆆ)
35 who is your celebrity crush? Brigette Lundy-Paine!! But also Anya Taylor-Joy, Zendaya & Penn Badgley are very nice to look at lol.
83 regular oreos or golden oreos? I actually have no idea what the golden ones taste like, I’ve never had them!! So I would have to go with the regular oreos, especially with double the cream 🥹
This was so much fun to write, yay! I want to wish you a very lovely day, friend (୨୧•͈ᴗ•͈)◞💖!

The First Message
The desire to become a courtesan had been quietly calling to me for years, building like a soft hum in my heart. I couldn’t ignore it any longer. I’d decided to take the first steps, to search, to see what might be waiting for me. Yet each path I tried seemed to loop back on itself, leading to frustration rather than discovery. Part of it was my own doing; I was searching outside my reach, looking for men from faraway places—dreaming of cities I wasn’t ready to visit, and men who felt too established, too powerful for someone still learning the ropes. It didn’t help that my own city, full of hard-working, modest, salt of the earth types, felt too plain, too stifling for the vision I held.
In the end, I focused on my hometown. The differences between the men here and those from wealthier cities were as stark as night and day. Most men around here were tied to modest means and modest lives. Our city itself felt void of the elegant pursuits and luxurious places that would call to a courtesan.
But I reminded myself that we all have to start somewhere. I’d been following women on similar journeys, seeing them thrive, and despite knowing I shouldn’t compare myself, I couldn’t help but feel left behind.
Meeting men in person seemed out of reach, with so few local venues suited for the kind of encounters I imagined. So, like so many others, I turned to online dating. After all, it seemed to be working for other women. Browsing through profiles, I noticed something interesting: a few women were bold enough to mention their appreciation for “generous men” and their taste for “the finer things.” Inspired, I shaped my profile with that in mind. I posted a few photos of myself, a mix of casual elegance and subtle allure, and it didn’t take long for my inbox to flood with messages. Most, of course, weren’t serious prospects, and others disappeared when I hinted at the kind of restaurant I’d want to dine at for a first date.
But one man caught my eye.
I had replied to him once but got distracted by the flood of messages that came in. He reached out a second time, a final message that made me pause. He was in tech, likely an engineer, the kind of work that could place someone comfortably in the middle class. I wondered if he might have a family or debts that would make him cautious, yet he seemed different somehow, sincere. He offered to talk on the phone. I agreed, curious. His voice was down-to-earth, and there was humor there, an ease I didn’t expect. And then he surprised me with an offer to buy me an iPhone as a belated birthday gift and that alone was enough to pique my interest.
I agreed to a date but confessed, half in vulnerability, half in strategy, that I didn’t have anything to wear for the occasion. The old clothes I owned weren’t going to make the impression I wanted. Without hesitation, he offered his credit card details and a budget. I ordered a few things, something I hadn’t been able to do for myself in years, and though they weren’t designer, they felt like a small treasure.
However before the dresses could even arrive, he began to grow uneasy, hesitant, perhaps suspicious. I could sense his anxiety, that wary feeling that he might be getting played, and I agreed to meet him before he could change his mind. After all, if he was willing to give me this gift so soon, who knew what else he might be capable of?
Without the arrival of my dresses, I didn’t have much to wear except for an old outfit I’d had since middle school. I felt underdressed, a bit self-conscious, but I reminded myself that this journey, for all its elegance, wouldn’t always start with a grand entrance.
In meeting him, I felt a small shift—a promise, maybe—that my world was starting to open, even if the path ahead was uncertain. This was only the beginning of my journey, one filled with new experiences, discoveries, and perhaps even a few detours. Where it would lead, I didn’t yet know, but I was ready to follow.

London #5: The Posh Hong Konger
On Hinge, I came across an Asian guy who just exuded *wealth*. The photos alone indicated he came from money. From being at F1 to playing tennis in all white, I knew I had to give him a match.
We didn't chat much before he scheduled a date because he went away for the weekend. That worked better for me anyway because I prefer to meet in person instead of chatting online for too long. He told me there was a dress code because he wanted to take me to the East India Club. I likely would never go on a date more posh than this in London.
The Date
On the day of the date, I went through my limited wardrobe. I left a couple of luggage at my friend's place so I didn't have everything with me, but they were all fall and winter clothing anyway. That did not stop me from getting frustrated that I still felt like I did not have enough clothes.
Since the East India Club had a strict clothing policy, I only had a couple of tops I could choose from. I went for my classic short v-neck deep blue long sleeve that I bought from Japan years ago when I was still living in Australia and one of my Aritzia's Effortless Pants. It was more than appropriate as the outfit could easily double as workwear.
The train ride to central London from my houseshare was over half an hour away. On the ride there, I wondered what my date would be like.
I was messaging a friend as I got off the tube. She asked me how tall he was and I said 5'7. But when I double-checked his profile; it stated that he is 5'11. I might have mixed him up with someone else, though no one on my roster at that moment was 5'7. Perhaps he was just giving off short king energy.
I turned the corner from the station and saw the East India Club in all its glory. White, grand, and polished, this exclusive club looked exactly what I would imagine from years of absorbing television and movies about the upper class.
The Posh Hong Konger told me to message him once I arrived and I did. I saw him immediately walking straight to me from the other side. He passed by a friend who was on his phone, leaning against the fence of the building before greeting me.
I extended for a hug before we headed inside. He was 5'11, wore a well-fitted blazer and suit look, and conducted himself upright. He was not a looker and was starting to bald, however, his presence made up for the lack of good genes.
He asked if I wanted to tour the club and I enthusiastically said yes. I felt like I was in Hogwarts, seeing all the crests and emblems adorned the wall. The classic brown interior and wooden finishes transported me back to another era. It was like being in a movie and parts of the club were previously shot for TV. I felt like I was on Gossip Girl, but the British posh version in an all-boys academy or even a fancy fraternity.
The Posh Hong Konger made a dinner reservation in the club, so we sat at a white-clothed table. I scanned the cursive menu, uncertain of what to eat. We exchanged conversation before I selected their lamb dish.
If I had to describe the Posh Hong Konger, he was essentially a crazy rich white privileged boy with the face of a Chinese guy. He was younger than me since I normally did not date 28-year-old guys. But, he was rich and I wanted a taste of his life.
The conversation felt more like a sociology experience for me. Listening to him talk about how he grew up and his various hobbies were fascinating. A glimpse of how the top 1% of the world lives will never cease to amaze me.
As many of my close friends know, I previously worked as a butler at a high-end hotel and casino in Australia. During my time there, along with dating my Crazy Rich Singaporean ex-boyfriend, my desire for the finer things in life was confirmed as I always suspected from a very young age. Of course, realistically I might never achieve this level of wealth. However, being part of it for fleeting moments was enough to satiate parts of my desire throughout my lifetime.
We moved the conversation to another part of the club after dinner. We sat in one of their cigar lounges to converse over cocktails.
At one point, I asked him, "You mentioned earlier that you have older hobbies or feel older than your age." This referred to how he did not enjoy rowdy nightouts or music festivals, which was common amongst Londoners our age. "What would you say your youthful hobbies are?"
I asked this question cause I was curious about what the man enjoyed. And his youth hobby? Fencing.
Then and there, I learned three types of fencing techniques/fights exist. He felt that this was a youthful hobby because of course, he was rich and this was what rich people do if they were young.
We had another conversation about what would happen if our hypothetical children (separately, not together) rebelled.
"Easy," he replied. "I'll cut off their inheritance."
I nodded, 'cause why should I expect anything less from a man who grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. This was the first time I heard someone speak about their future children's inheritance. Again, the life of the wealthy continued to enthrall me.
Our date eventually came to an end after four or so hours. He walked me back to my tube station. I told him honestly during our walk that I was not afraid to reject people if I had to. However, I realize (with following dates with other men) that if I have this level of honesty with a guy on the first date, it usually means I do not like them. I might like them as a person, but not as a romantic partner. Cause a part of me will hold back on that information just a bit.
Just when I was about to enter the station, he asked, "Shall we kiss?"
It was abrupt as we were not physically close or have tried to close the physical gap in the last few hours. I was taken aback by the ask and went, "Maybe next time!"
There was no tension being built up this entire time. It was difficult for me just to kiss someone out of the blue like that. I've done it in the past and it felt very blase and forced.
We parted ways, in agreement to see each other next time. I messaged him on Hinge later that evening to thank him for the lovely date. He responded the following day, asking if we should chat on WhatsApp. I agreed.
That very morning, I ate a Tesco wrap that had gone bad without realizing it because I had food poisoning shortly after. I messaged my roster, letting the men know I was completely out of it and sick.
The Posh Hong Konger sent his well wishes and asked if I got sick from the dinner. I told him no and explained what had happened. He never responded after.
I guess eating a Tesco wrap with a best-before date the day prior was too poor for him. At least I had dinner at a fancy all-members club. So, a win is a win.
