Today my coworker asked what I did before I started working at the bakery and I told her I studied illustration, but since it can be difficult to build up a whole life as an illustrator this instant, I chose to take on this job instead for now. Then she asked about my age and I told her I’m 28 years old.

She then looked at me belittling. After I asked about what her deal is, she said at my age, I should have it all together. And I fucking hate her for that.

I am not too old. I am taking longer because of my own reasons that aren’t her business. But how dare telling a person you barely even know, that they’re doing something wrong or that they are taking to long!

How absolutely thoughtless can one person be to judge someone after spending just 5 hours next to each other. She has no right to make her assumptions.

I’m just really really angry about that.

Do you think it keeps Jay up at night? The fact that before Skybound he really was pretty disrespectful of Nyas boundaries. Do you think he ever thinks about it and feel horrible becuase he had to be tortured into being a better person instead of just getting better. Do you think he wonders if he would have stayed the exact same way he was if it wasn't for everything that happened? That he thinks maybe he's not a good person at heart and that he needed/deserved to suffer to get to where he is? Do you think he'd be fucked up about that?

Because I do. If I'm thinking about it then the most panic-prone one of the group probably does too-

This half-foot. Dandan.

Looks preety similar to this lady here (I'll put them together so you see):

Half-lidded eyes, black hair&eyes, small eyebrows, curly hair... Dandan's skin is lighter probably because of low sun exposure (dungeon), and he has tons of freckles because he preety.

This two are clearly relatives if not siblings.

Flertom is a mirror image of the lady up there. She got Chil's eyes. She even has almost the same haircut (a bit longer). She's clearly the mother. We've solved Chilchuck's wife mystery.

But this wasn't what I was going to say.

This implies that Wife and Dandan both knew Chilchuck since their childhood. Because there's no way that Chil was just friend of the sister. They're both close to the same age, and I'll say Dandan is a Younger sibiling (she gives big sis vibes, and he gives young bro vibes). So either she introduced him to her brother or he introduced him to his sister and they became best friends as kids.

Could you imagine how their relationship was after Chil's Wife left him?

He knows he has to say something, but he doesn't want to end his relationships. At the end he takes his sister's side. He distances a bit from Chilchuck, calling him an "aquitance" rather than a friend. It isn't that he hates him, is just that it's complicated. And they both know it. They're in good terms tho, they just aren't best friends anymore and they don't talk about it. Their worry is the guild, not their personal stuff.

That's why Dandan introduces Chilchuck to Laios. If they were in bad terms, he would've suggested any other half-foot. They both priorize the guild and general safety of their own race. That's why Dandan suggests Chil instead of a less experienced hafling. He cares about the union and respects Chil's time and experience in dungeons. They're on good terms, at least good enough. Summing up, I get the feeling Dandan doesn't particularly likes Chil after what happened with his sister, but he respects him at least.

Was a random thing I had in my head when thinking of my first attempts at HB redesigns awhile back- (granted I didn't get that far beyond the royal Goetia family, buuut yknow lol)

I think part of whats keeping me from going ahead with other potential redesigns (esp for the main IMP crew), is that... idk how exactly to handle the "Full Moon deal" tbh? .w.;; I know its basically 'enmeshed' in Blitz & Stolas' story (so much that some could argue it'd be weird to take it away-)... but at the same time, idk its hard for me to imagine properly weaving it into the narrative without sending some weird messages to the audience (if they are an intended endgame ship & such-)

-Soooo, here's what I had in mind if I were to personally reimagine the Stol*itz arc (depending on which route I go with the Full Moon deal):

(If the Full Moon deal IS kept in-): -Blitz attempts to steal the grimoire, then after a drunk one-night stand, Stolas coerces him to partake in the "Full Moon deal" to avoid legal trouble (for both parties) -Blitz's company continues to grow in sales thanks to Stolas letting him keep the grimoire... yet more & more overtime he grows weary having to "please" this bird prince (refuses to open up to his employees about it however, to avoid being pitied/looked-down upon 'cause y'know... he's "the boss"-) -Things are basically standard up until the night of "Ozzie's", where Blitz finally has enough and basically tells Stolas off for his entitled creep behavior. -Stolas reflects on his actions up til that point, deciding to "let Blitz off the hook" from their typical meetup times afterwards. Blitz is more than happy to take that, ofc (albeit, confused... but happy, nonetheless-) -Eventually Stolas does decide to invite him back to his place (something Blitz is lowkey-dreading, but puts on a brave face for his teammates' livelihood)... only for him to present Blitz with the Asmodean crystal, essentially-freeing him of the Full Moon deal. -Stolas actually gives a genuine apology/remorse for how he treated Blitz, admitting that this whole thing was just some desperate distraction from his own personal woes at home. As much as Blitz wants to be thankful for this change of heart... he can't take it anymore once Stolas brings up potentially "starting over" (as if a mere gift of a crystal + apology is enough to fix things, basically-). The night ends as Blitz tells off Stolas & leaves his place... Stolas once more having to stand in silence, thinking of what went wrong... -By the time of the trial episode, neither Stolas or Blitz are on speaking terms; yet things escalate when Stolas gets put on trial for his mishandling of the grimoire (+his Goetia duties). As much as IMP try to step in and save him, Stolas holds them back as he finally admits to the world what he did to Blitz... earning him scorn across imp-kind + his royal status & powers stripped away. Blitz is left with conflicted feelings, now that he's being given proper support & praise by his teammates (+fellow imps) for facing what he did simply to keep up his business... yet at the same time, can't find it in him to ditch Stolas in his pitiful state... -He gives the former-prince a place to stay at for the night at Blitz's apartment; thanking him but keeping his distance in terms of "bonding" (not wanting a repeat of what happened, before). Eventually, Stolas would move out & have enough savings set-aside to get his own place... at that point feeling too guilty to approach Blitz anymore (but still wishes him luck on his endeavors). The rest of the narrative would be spent on Stolas finding his own independence/working on himself for the better, whilst IMP steadily goes back to what they do best... silly assassin shenanigans as one happy (founded) family~

(If the Full Moon deal is NOT kept in-): -Stolas & Blitz have a one night stand for the sake of Blitz stealing his grimoire; Stolas (having long-since grown "bored" of his typical Goetia duties) approaching him later to offer a chance at being a 'business benefactor'. Essentially, securing IMP more chances at assassination gigs/clients who'll pay big money to get their vengeance on whoever wronged them in the human world. -Throughout these ventures, Stolas would keep trying to hit on Blitz/offer a "repeat" of their one-night stand... which Blitz would swiftly reject each time (to varying comedic-levels). -Eventually the night of "Ozzie's" happens (this time is treated more like a date on Stolas' end... thinking his own "charm" attempts have paid off). With all that happens afterwards, Blitz gives him a firm dose of reality that they were never anything "special"... something that rattles Stolas as up to that point, he's never truly ever been told "no" like that (let alone by an imp)... -The rest of the narrative would follow fairly standardly as Stolas tries to work in more of a genuine friendship effort; paying extra on each IMP mission, sending friendly cards/gift offers, all of which Blitz keeps at a distance since he's still (understandably) upset at him. -At some point Stolas does still give him an Asmodean crystal (+genuinely apologizes)... but as one last peace offering now that he's (somewhat) got the hint Blitz ain't interested. The night most likely wouldn't end as dramatically as the other route... but perhaps more as a sign that maybe, just maybe, they can start over again as friends. -Potential bonus ep of both men gradually going back to speaking terms; with perhaps "Apology Tour" going more along the lines of Stolas encouraging Blitz to make things right with Verosika at her party (now framed as a simple Halloween party; no weird "anti-Blitz" theme attached-). Blitz is able to have a bigger chance at earning closure with his ex, and Stolas gets up to some silly party antics since he's usually so reclusive to himself. The night ends as Blitz seems to accept Stolas more as a friend now (& wishes him luck when the bird man gets a cute incubus dude's number lol). -The trial later on would focus more on Stolas being put on the spot for his misuse of the grimoire (even without any creepy coercion deal-attached). Blitz & IMP find a way to speak up for Stolas' defense yet are powerless to stop the court from stripping Stolas' status & powers. He & Blitz are working more on their friendship this time, yet eventually are able to reach a point of giving eachother their own space to grow/heal better.

posting this little thing because the wonderful @novasillies tagged me (guys guys go read her fic please please please please please it’s SO GOOD) as well as the lovely @gege-wondering-around (I am so so sorry i’m always so late for these things life has been so busy). here’s something else from my time travel au (also called the rewrite the lines au)

By the time he reaches the Nemeton, dawn is breaking on the horizon. Soon, the world will wake up, and Stiles plans to be long gone by then, least the Hales hear him.

The Nemeton’s energy is strong today, overpowering the Nogitsune’s rage and cruel persuasion. It hums inside Stiles’s whole being, and Stiles lets it wash over him before sending it back, like a feedback loop. It’s a learned behavior, allowing its energy to flow through him. Before, he’d been way too scared of it, of what it could do, of what it had already done. Now, Stiles knows he’s way more powerful than anything else that’s ever touched this tree. There’s no need to be afraid of what has made him what he is today, for no matter how monstrous, Stiles will always be worse.

Without hesitating, he presses his palm flat against the top of the tree stump. He doesn’t push any of his magic in it, simply letting it flow freely. It’s intense, though not hurtful. It recognizes Stiles as its friend, not its foe, no matter what Stiles may feel towards it.

As he lets the Nemeton’s magic flood his senses, Stiles idly wonders when it became such a normal thing for him to refer to a tree as a sentient being. It’s not as if the Nemeton talks to him, it simply… conveys its energy. And the call is more of a pull than an outright calling, if he’s getting specific about it. Yet Stiles knows without a doubt that it is sentient, even if it doesn’t have things such as feelings or emotions.

He keeps his hand on the tree stump for as long as he can, holding steady through the endless stream of information being imputed straight into his head by his semi-symbiotic relationship with the Nemeton even though his head starts to pound and his breathe starts coming out in heavy, loud puffs of air. In fact, Stiles only pulls away when the cold, nauseatingly familiar feel of dark energy, of chaos and pain and strife starts creeping in. Even though Stiles knows it can’t be true, that it must be his mind playing tricks on him again, he can’t help but startle when he hears voices in the wind, a whispered let me in that has his heart beating erratically and his eyes jumping from shadow to shadow. In the lazy light of the still rising sun, he can almost swear he sees a firefly.

Stiles leaves without looking back. Maybe if he ignores this problem, it will finally fucking go away.

If not… well. That’s a problem for future Stiles to take care of.

So I went to the wiki page for the henghill Bullet & Brain mission of 2.2 looking for some dialogue I had missed and

a) I found something incredibly tasty that slotted into some other thoughts I'd been having, more on that on another day, and

b) I saw this super fun little trivia at the bottom, which!

I knew Penacony characters like Boothill took a lot of inspirations from old movies, but I didn't realize it was even in his and Dan Heng's relationship, that's so cool!!

It fits them very well, it's such a fun reference. "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" was an old buddy Western film (from 1969- nice) about a pair of outlaws. Butch Cassidy was the leader of a gang, and described as clever, affable, and talkative. Meanwhile, his closest companion, the Sundance Kid, was known as a man of few words.

Cassidy's original birth name was much more plain, but similar to Boothill, he took on a new moniker when he became an outlaw. "Cassidy" had been the last name of his beloved mentor, who taught him how to shoot and ride. And Sundance Kid was known as he was because Sundance was the name of his hometown, and it was the only place that had ever managed to catch and jail him, back when he'd been younger (also similar to Dan Heng, but ouch).

These two stick together like glue throughout the length of the film- through Cassidy's leadership of the gang being challenged, through a train robbery gone wrong, through being pursued by mercenaries, and even through fleeing to Bolivia and trying to start over together.

I don't want to say too much more, since the mission title is referencing one specific movie that I've never seen. I kinda wanna watch it now, though, just to see the inspiration that went into Boothill and Dan Heng and how they get along. I just think it's really sweet that these two were literally made to be the best of bros, how lovely is that. 💕

Got Mom to watch The Pitt with me since she's kind of captive audience today being down with a cold and we don't have the girls. Got through 3 episodes before she needed to nap.

So far: (her thoughts/commentary below the cut, just in case spoilers)

Got excited to see Noah Wyle - that was literally the first thing she said "Omg is that Noah Wyle??? Ok, then I trust it".

She feels bad for Whitaker and his rough morning so far.

She was bit confused with Mel at first, but likes her.

She doesn't care for Santos so far, says she's a bit of a bully.

Not at all surprised about how cocky the surgeons are (Garcia).

We both lamented about how nice their sanitizer dispensers are, the system we work/ed for could never - let alone have them be full or the touch less kind.

She likes Mohan.

Laughed when Dana called Langdon a dick, and said he's like a lot of the ER docs she worked with - kind of forgetting that patients are people.

Got teary when Robby read Abbot's letter.

When McKay was talking to Javadi about her parents and it being like a family business, gave me a pointed look and asked if that's how it was for me as a student (almost exactly tbh, just without the whole prodigy thing. People's expectations were through the roof and also very critical at the same time. It's a weird space to be in. At least my parents weren't like big name docs in the hospital like her's, mine were just other rad techs, though dad was a big name in the dept due to being in the education part of it for so long).

She laughed about the scrub dispenser.

Said she didn't even notice that there was no background music other than when Robby is first walking in that first episode - got too absorbed in what was going on and said background music would have been too overstimulating plus it's so much more realistic without any.

Also said the COVID flashback was good - even down to the haze from the face shield - though even in that brief scene, said it seemed like they had way more PPE than we really had available, though this is about the ED and not the rest of the hospital, so of course they'd get top priority. Had let out a quiet "they even have them prone" during that scene, and when I looked over she had a white knuckle grip on the armrest (she worked in the hospital during covid as an US tech, so she saw a lot of it that I didn't working outpatient. I had signed up to be redeployed as needed, but never got called so I was lucky to even get a shift or two every 3 wks - only at my sites that had an urgent care, and we were only doing urgent or stat studies. We'd be lucky to have 5 pts all day. Meanwhile Mom was scanning for dvts and other clots pretty much nonstop all shift with very little nurse help for donning and doffing PPE to enter pt rooms cause everyone was so afraid and trying to limit time in pt rooms as much as possible to limit exposure and PPE usage. So she was doing extra to try to help out while in the room for the more awake pts)

Said nurses like Dana were always her favorite

Her biggest gripes so far - that the vet pt in the viewing room was still intubated. And that they didn't show Robby getting sanitizer after that first attempt trying to use the bathroom when Langdon called him and he just suddenly had gloves on when they got to the patient, though admitted that was being really nitpicky. She even laughed and said there's no way I could go that long without sprinting for the bathroom with as much fluid intake as I have at work (makes me really appreciate my job and being able to run to pee while waiting for a patient to change)

A character sheet before he gets possessed, before the idea he becomes king in the place he grew up in.

There’s lore :O?!\/

His lore name is Jakob Schlatt Rowlyn. He’s just a prince, with regular spar practice with swords and short lived visits with a woman who he founds is an absolute Christian with all the values he holds dearly. *spoiler that is NOT the case. Jakob hates doing what he’s told to do so, it just be easier if they given him the crown now to be their ruler but he doesn’t understand that is not how it works. He likes immediate results :). This man has such a huge ego and gets antagonistic when things don’t go his way. living in a castle with no wealth, health, and food worries can have that effect on others. He can get anything he wants without *some consequences- forced more unwanted sparring hours added to his schedule . Whenever problem arise, his father holds the crown away from him and bullies him relentlessly. He does have competition with getting the crown, he has to win these sword tournaments that can end up in bloodshed if he isn’t careful enough. Coming out on top of the tournaments is part of the family tradition that ends with that crown on his head and owning all of his father’s land, riches and his castle.

He truly is in his prime era.
