One thing I love about mutant mayhem is that Leo has a crush on an April who’s not conventionally attractive. It almost feels like, because of the turtles’ isolated upbringing* he hasn’t been influenced by the popular western beauty ideals and just thinks this ordinary human is beautiful! And I think that’s really cool! Because she is!

*though they’ve clearly been exposed to celebrities and other pop culture so ?? idk lol

Maybe it's because I am a little tired of the girlbossification of all female characters in fandom but one of my favorite headcanons/tropes (because it is kind of supported by canon) for Ochako is "girl who has emotional intelligence for everyone except herself"

Interpersonal conflict during hero work? She's got it. Her friends have drama? She'll stay kind no matter what.

But when she lands in a complicated emotional situation herself? Buh bye braincells! Got a crush? It has to be pointed out to her. Feelings? Repress them like she's a viral hydraulic press video and they're satisfying squishy fruit. She'll say the exact right thing to solve an issue for someone else and them IMMEDIATELY forget it when she has the same problem. You've never seen someone go from girlboss to girlfailure so quick.
