There was a book on Norse mythology that I read and barely remember, but one thing I do remember was a story where Odin (pretty sure it was Odin) and Loki were taking a scroll and happened upon some guy’s farm. Loki, who is described as the god of good and evil by the book, just randomly kills one of this guy’s prized livestock (I think it was a goat). When Odin asks Loki why the fuck he did that, Loki said (and I’m paraphrasing) “the evil in me made me do it.” Odin then spends the rest of the story trying to make up for what Loki did.
This moment cemented my impression of Loki, that as the god of good and evil, he has to be perfectly balanced in the dumbest way possible. For every good deed he does he has to follow it up with a bad deed.
I imagine something like this happens really often:
"Loki, what have you done?"
"Whatever do you mean, father?"
"Don’t be coy. You’ve been nice to your brother, you helped Freya plant flowers, and you’re been an absolute delight to be around for the past week. I know you’re done something."
"I haven’t done anything. You mistake me for some sort of scoundrel."
"Loki..."
"...But on an unrelated note, I wouldn’t visit Álfheimr any time soon if I were you."
"Loki what did you do???"
#norse mythology#loki norse mythology#odin norse mythology#I don't remember what myth it was#or what the book was called#it had a green cover#which I know isn't enough to go on

Apparently in my absence this post had its 1000-notes-iversary.
This time we get to see the culprit responsible for ruining our heroes' lives as well.
I've really missed you guys, by the way. I know I've said that already, but I'm serious. Once or twice this year I've been right on the brink of coming back but schedule stuff always keeps me from letting myself commit to that again, and that in turn has kept me from posting anything at all. But I've been in an unexpected drawing mood lately and so if I can get enough stuff to set up a queue we might pretend I'm back for a month or so sometime this year. Maybe. Hopefully. We'll see. No promises though. That's why I'm hiding this paragraph under the cut.
Transcription:

B'Elanna, Neelix, Tuvok and Chakotay needed to star in an episode where they just talked about their different beliefs and approaches to spirituality/religion. Paired off and all together. I need to gain more insight. I need characterization and I need it to be messy.
#B'Elanna's difficulty with Klingon myths and religion (especially due to her internalized racism)#Chakotay's current strong belief in his own spirituality despite his initial complete rejection of it (and how B'Elanna seems to admire#and have talked with Chakotay about it extensively in the past given how many specifics she's aware of)#Neelix's belief in an afterlife being the only thing that comforted him after his entire family was killed - the knowledge that he would be#able to reunite with them again and that knowledge being ripped away from him#Does he still believe? Are there other aspects of his previous spiritual beliefs that are thrown into question?#Just because it isn't 'real' does it make it unimportant? How do we even know whether or not it's 'real'?#He died and doesn't remember reaching that tree and seeing his family - does that mean it didn't happen?#Tuvok's line in 'Innocence' about how he's begun to have doubts about whether or not a katra exists and what happens after someone dies#and his firm ties to Vulcan spirituality and ritual#ALL SO INTERESTING!!!!!!!!#star trek voyager#I don't think it'd be a calm or healthy conversation either - they're not therapists and I don't think anyone but Chakotay#would be particularly careful with his words#and before you say Tuvok's a Vulcan so he would be let me remind you that Tuvok told B'Elanna to her face that he thought Klingons#were basically savages - he is INDELICATE to say the least#Neelix is careful with his words bc he's a people pleaser for survival but also he has a tendency to bother people and be overly pushy#and I think he'd do a lot of research and be the one leading the conversation/the reason they get on the topic and continue on it#B'Elanna wouldn't want to talk about it. She wants to talk about it the least. But she must!!!! Bc the episode demands it!!#st voy

Look, I'm not interested in playing Palworld and I've been actively avoiding the drama/controversy so I'd be perfectly happy with forgetting it's existence and moving on with my life if it weren't for just how obsessively UNHINGED the Palworld fandom is, barging in on EVERY. SINGLE. recent Pokémon post on multiple platforms just to pick fights and shill the hell out of their game to (most of the time) confused Pokémon fans who are wondering what Palworld is and where these people came from.
I saw this wonderful art of the Kamado battle in Legends Arceus and the Champion battle in Sun and Moon on Instagram and I shit you not, a good 70% of the comments are entirely Palworld people just ranting and yelling about how Pokémon sucks, Palworld is going to kill Pokémon, anybody who likes Pokémon is a bootlicker and are riding Pokémon's 🍆, how anyone who complains about Palworld is a (and I quote) """"saviourf*g""" for Nintendo etc
Like, I just wanted to share my nostalgia about Sun and Moon and so did a lot of other people considering that there were still people talking about it, but it was hard to find those comments because they were drowned out by the Pals Vs Pokémon warzone.
And the second someone says something a Pal fan doesn't like, it eventually devolves into the Pal fans throwing homophobic slurs around and calling the Pokémon fans neckbeards, and shills and basement dwellers and such.
I'm sure there's probably sane fans who are just happy going about and making their Pals break rocks or whatever, but a majority of the Palworld fans I've encountered so far are like edgy screaming 4Chan people. Like, holy shit I wish they would just go to their own Palworld fan pages instead of invading Pokémon and turning every comment section into the embodiment of this meme.
(And I just want to address the whole "Pokémon Company is posting a lot more often recently because they're obviously scared of Palworld, lmaoooo why else would they suddenly start actively posting after months of radio silence 😎" argument that I've seen dozens of times.
First of all, the Pokémon channel/profile is always posting random game/anime/art screenshots. There hasn't been a sudden drastic increase of posts.
Second of all, it's A MONTH UNTIL POKÉMON DAY. THEY DO THIS EVERY YEAR. The influx of Snorlax posts is a promotional thing for Pokémon Sleep. Pokémon's just carrying on with their regularly scheduled hype building/ promotional stuff and the Palworld fans think it has something to do with them.(
#pokémon#tw: slurs#I wish they'd just go enjoy their game and leave us alone to enjoy ours 😭#I don't wanna see all the insults and fighting#I haven't even been playing Pokémon recently I've been playing Kirby 😭#All I wanted to do is look up some Pokémon art memes and plushies is that so bad?????#The saviour*redacted* thing is something that someone called me specifically 🙃#I can't remember what comment it was under#I think it was someone accusing Ogerpon of being a Pal ripoff and I pointed out that Ogerpon is inspired by a Japanese myth or something#From my very outside perspective it looks like Palworld is only popular because its fueled by internet rage#I wish people were this defensive about Yokai Watch when it came out. I love that game :(

"Can I call you 'Drias?"
"Only one person ever called me that"
"Oh! Gotcha! Too personal. Boundaries, Marcy!"
My babygirl blaming herself and her difficulty reading social cues when she didn't do anything 😭 how was she supposed to know it was "too personal"?? She automatically assumes she did something wrong she assumes she messed up my BABY
#amphibia#my posts#also andrias that is one big fat LIE both Leif and Barrel called you 'Drias#this useless fucking idiot forgot he had a whole ass boyfriend back then 😭😭😭#also -> Marcy having trouble remembering she needs to respect people's boundaries to the point she has a little mantra#to remind herself of that. + the 'prom?' poster reading 'yes or YES' = Marcy crossing the boundaries of her friendship with anne and sasha#by fantazising about going to prom with them. something stereotypically romantic#this is what my friend claude (xx century french anthropologist claude lévi-straus father of functional-structuralism) would call#the ''exaggeration'' of a bond. in his analysis of the myth of Oedipus and in how he linked it to the myth of Antigone#Oedipus incestuous relationship with his mother is analogous to Antigone violating the city laws to illegally bury her dead brother#this is: the exaggeration of a familial bond beyond the reach of what is socially acceptable (yes it's far fetched yes i know yes#yes we talked about it in class)#this is opposed to Oedipus killing his father: the underestimation of familial bonds.#which is analogous to the war between atens and sparta: slaughter among brothers#in this case Marcy's continuous violation of her friends' boundaries betrays an exaggeration of their bond#as exemplified by her ''wanting to take them to prom'' in a ''dream'' (which would be very jungian of her)#don't take my word for this tho because i got a 2 on my last exam so clearly i need to read my lévi-strauss again

I recently found out people ship Cassandra with Apollo.
My initial reaction was...
Just tan their hides. You know what happened to her because the the bastard, don't you?..
Then, I was overwhelmed by morbid curiosity, and checked AO3. People are writing rape fics about them. ...Why?..
Could I ever see Cassandra x Apollo?.. I don't know, maybe. But, definitely not the nonsense I mentioned. Dubcon at most. I guess, he might somehow coerce her into sleeping with him, and later rescue her from the fall of Troy, because she's pregnant with his child, or something (Zeus would be pissed, I'm fine with that).
Sounds like an intriguing story, with a lot of morally questionable elements. I can imagine Apollo confiding in Artemis, wondering why his wife is so upset. She'd just go "are you serious rn?.. -_-".
...What, you're surprised I'm among those I wish to hide with a broom? Don't be. It happens quite often, actually.
#greek mythology#greek myth fandom#apollo#cassandra#apollo x cassandra#diary pages#thoughts#greek gods#this is such a fucked up pairing#in the iliad you like apollo then remember what he did cassandra#i don't blame her for rejecting his advances he's an entitled fboy with nine girlfriends and she wanted to remain chaste#the way he responded is very cruel honestly cassandra's story breaks my heart#of course i'm discussinv them as characters not religious figures#apollo can be such a creep#greek myth fanfic#fanfiction ideas#what the hell i have a hundred epics in my wips already including one with apollo#but i SHOULD put this aside the “Apollo coerces Cassandra then saves her because she's pregnant”#it's dark but also very intriguing to explore... it isn't supposed to be hot really well maybe later#dionysus married ariadne why can't apollo marry cassandra#she wouldn't want to marry him but what other choice would she have#their further relationship just seems so fascinating#yeah apollo would be confused why she's upset - he'd get her being upset about the fall of troy but not why she's upset with him#but as gods do he'd imagine she should be happy about getting rescued by him#why am i doing this to myself (and cassandra)#i suppose... i just want a better ending for cassandra (back to the fic idea) which this would be even though she'd have to deal with apollo#side note imagine the “pairing” in disney's hercules it would be hilarious#cassandra confronting hercules about his creepy older cousin trying to hit on her#or icarus trying to ask apollo if she'll go out with him and apollo replying “if you have my luck she'll just throw a shoe at your face”#she should take out a restraining order also

I'm no literature major and English isn't even my native language, yet I could write you an entire analysis on what 'bedroom eyes like a remedy' means or why *that* line exists in 'I hate it here'. Honestly, at this point, I think the fact that most of the writing in TTPD didn't 'lend' well with the audience is a reader/listener problem.
#taylor swift#the tortured poets department#my thoughts#ts songs have always been a good metric of opening my eyes on how many people simply do not know#what i would have previously deemed common knowledge#but ttpd took it up to eleven#like you see a song called cassandra and don't think of the greek mythology one??#(and a lot of people didn't even know the myth)#or that emma is a jane austen novel#and there were a few more but i can't remember them now

Shota + Secret Identity
In MHA, it seems that not all heroes have a 'secret identity'. And it's likely because some heroes identites are their true identity. Some may have their names known to the public, others might not, All-Might is a good example & testament to this. Shota even tells his students at some point to refer to him as Eraserhead vs Mr. Aizawa before a fight, and it makes me inclined to believe Shota's true identity isn't very public either.
Heroes are pretty common place, but some heroes seem to wear masks, while others do not. Heroes also are recognized for who they are by their outfits, so its difficult for a lot of them to hide anyway. In Shota's case, I think that it's fairly easy for Shota to conceal his identity in instances that he needs to. Thinking back to Shota's first appearance, with the exception of Izuku (who we know is a fanboy), none of the other students recognized Shota as Eraserhead. Shota also isn't a very popular hero and has a low rating, so he isn't in the spotlight.
Shota's identifying features/signatures as a hero are his capture weapon along with his yellow goggles. As for Shota's general appearance, he just looks like a stereotypical version of what a Japanese person looks like; dark hair, dark eyes. If Shota puts the goggles away and takes off his scarf, he blends into a crowd pretty easily and looks like any other civilian. Shota also has no other defining features other than the glow of his eyes and floaty hair that only surfaces when he uses his quirk. And after the USJ incident, his scar.
As far as underground hero work goes, I always imagine that Shota is dealing with things like illegal gambling, gang orientated things, terrorism, and drug & human trafficking. At times he has even taken on jobs that require undercover work. I think for Shota it's rather important that he does have the ability to hide himself. I think Shota in some instances might even pretend to be quirkless for missions, if he needs to.
Even after the press conference regarding Bakugo's capture, it wouldn't be too difficult for Shota to hide who he is. His appearance during the conference isn't his usual look and its the most put-together we have ever seen him. When looking for Shota, people might be looking for his more kempt appearance vs. the hot mess that we know he is.
#headcanons: unfold your own myth#I don't remember what episode/movie etc that Shota tells them to refer to him as eraserhead but if someone remembers#let me know so I can edit this lol#its been so long since ive watched this show through#tw human trafficking#// human trafficking#tw drugs#I was going to post this at a later date but I have an ask to answer that goes along with this#/ drugs#cw drugs#cw human trafficking

👻 What is your wildest headcanon?
oh god. okay. so. last year i learnt the term ergi, which for the uninitiated is defined as follows: unmanly dishonour in an old norse (*inspired) context, especially being penetrated during sex (but also other things like cowardice, servility, and practicing women's magic.)
and i started trying to Extrapolate a whole hypothetical culture from this.
like, it's easy to say that that's straightforwardly "it's okay if you're on top". but if the predominate attitude is that it's always acceptable to be the top and never acceptable to be the bottom, AND honourable = masc = strong while dishonourable = fem = weak, AND m/m sex is frequently framed in terms of domination, conquest, or even punishment... then you're probably going to end up with a society with an absolutely awful attitude towards consent. a society with basically no distinction, in the common understanding, between gay sex and rape.
so. i take this framing. i take mcu thor, who embodies a lot of his society's worst ideas but always in the most noble, well-intentioned way... and we end up with a guy who thinks gay sex is wrong because it's always homophobic rape.
like. the ambient cultural attitude is. topping a guy is an act of violence, but it's fine, because if you "let" it happen you, you must deserve it.
while thor's personal attitude is. topping a guy is an act of violence, so no-one can possibly genuinely want it to happen to him, so it's always just about taking advantage of someone weaker than you, so it's always wrong.
and, vitally, the category of weakness in thor's mind includes queerness. (and he doesn't think of tops as queer!) so if anyone says some queer guys DO want it, he dismisses that as a mocking / victim-blaming myth. and if a queer guy looks him in the eye and says no i promise you i really do want it, his brain short circuits and then he goes. oh no this man is full of self-loathing or perhaps insanity :( and it would still be terribly wrong of anyone to exploit that :(
(what does he think queer guys do want? idfk. non-penetrative sex, probably, but also, being queer is a tragic misfortune and not necessarily functional, so maybe they are just all self-destructive and crazy. also don't ask his opinion on grey areas of penetrative-ness because he just has not thought that hard about it.)
(also, thor's definition of queerness-as-identity being less tied to penetration means it's more tied to generalised femininity. which also means he is not allowed to desire men, because he's not fem, so obviously he wouldn't be The Victim, so that would be evil of him. (does he like men? idfk. but if he did he'd be having a truly awful time with it!))
basically: thor is deranged <3
to be clear, i don't think thor's attitude necessarily stays here. i think this is his attitude as quite a young adult (up to ~18-20?) but eventually one way or another he is confronted with the real world and it has to crumble. but. god it's fun in its bizarre way. what's wrong with that man <3
also. not a historian. no idea if this is how anyone in the real world has ever actually thought. but i'm dealing with a hypothetical society here so their attitudes can be literally anything i find interesting.
fanfic writer ask game 💕
#space viking tag#rape mention#homophobia mention#i had to think about this weirdly long i was like 'oh i don't have any weird headcanons really :-)' and then i remembered. This.#this idea was developed in a fic i tried writing once#wherein thor accidentally walked in on loki and another guy and obviously. freaked out. like almost murderous levels of freaking out#(kind of riffing on a common wish fulfilment thing of someone doing everything they can to persuade the mc their rape rlly was rape)#(but like. What If It Really Wasn't. that would be terrifying right)#and it was the most viscerally uncomfortable thing i've ever written lmao#no idea if i'll ever return to it. it is interesting but also. [winces]#like the exploration of queerness is somewhat unique but. otherwise?#there are less Humiliating ways to explore thor being sinisterly overprotective. idk#meta#ch: thor#r: loki + thor#th: gender + sexuality#th: ergi#th: worldbuilding#s: myth + history#highlights

why do culturally christian americans think it's okay to rewrite the mythology of cultures that have nothing to do with them to make them fit their ideals
#i see this done SO much to jewish culture both from actual practicing christians and pagans & atheists that were raised christian#like they seem to have that same belief of superiority over judaism and other religions more broadly#like folks appropriating lilith to girlbossify her#or rewriting every single greek myth again to girlbossify or generally give them modern politics & morals#for a while people were also doing it with like. old european fairy tales.#like remember that post that was like what if red riding hood was hijabi? like bro. have you considered maybe looking into actual#traditional muslim stories rather than slapping a muslim character over another culture and calling it a muslim story?#and there were various replies to that post. and these were clearly people with disney brainrot who wanted more diverse stories#but weren't willing to actually go look for them and would have rather slapped a different culture on a character who is still#fundamentally european. like. idk this is a whole thing.#like i kinda feel this way even towards disney's princess & the frog. there was an actual african version of that story. don't get me wrong#i liked it. and i don't have any say on whether or not it's good rep. because i'm not african american#like i like that it's an adaptation put into a different setting and different time period. but there was still already an african version#of the fairy tale. am i making sense#i don't even know if this has a name. idk if it can be classified as cultural appropriation. it's similar?#anyway. i hate this whole phenomenon.

I know my memory ain't perfect but I can still honestly say within the past almost like 20ish years when I think about all the various things I've watched that involved Greek mythology and specifically had Hades in it,
I can only think of one where he was actively portrayed as not just a good guy but like friendly. Oh he could still get mad, but over all a decent fellow. Now he didn't have a big role and only appeared in a handful of episodes but still,
Class of the Titans has one of my favourite Hades portrayals. Yeh he can be a little over the top and goofy sometimes but it works within the show and it's just fun.
The man loves his dog, is over the moon smitten in love with Persephone and is willing to lend a hand to those who ask if he can.
Even Thanatos God of Death himself isn't even made to be seen as evil, he's just doing his job.
There's even an episode where one of the characters pretty much dies, comes close to yet even then. While he literally has to fight and run away from Fate to avoid going to the Underworld, while an antagonistic role- because you know he's fighting against what they want. It's not treated or framed like they're bad for doing this, this is just their job.
Character is supposed to be dead so they're just trying to get them to go to the Underworld, while MC does everything to avoid that- as they wait for their friends to return with the means to save them.
#I also vaguely remember reading some book that was very much a reimagining /interpreation of like Hades/Persephone thing / greek gods#don't remember the exact plot but I do remember enjoying it well enough#I'm not saying there are other books or movies or whatever out there with positive Hades protrayals just in my experience i've come across#very few of em#also how about we finally just ditch the interpretation that Hades was tricked/ otherwise unhappy with getting the underworld#Even in Greek myth itself while that may be an interpretation that exists/was written#equally so and what I'm familiar with is Hades chose the underworld / at the very least took no issue in little brother ruling over the god#Big bro Hades had no interest in having so much power wasn't interested (and quite possibly neither was poseidon)#in the underworld he gets to avoid most of everyone else's drama and problems

So apparently Etemenanki was a ziggurat in ancient Babylon. It was so huge (six layers tall!) that people would talk about it and it would later inspire tales of the tower of Babyl
Also its name means "Foundation of Heaven and Earth"
I was just watching a video about ancient Babylon and started screaming when they mentioned that and just had to share
aah thank you so much for sharing <333 i appreciate you running in my ask to share the knowledge, it's really sweet!!
I happened to know about all of this, i did a few researches on some of the important names in wmtsb (and in most stuff i care about) to try to figure out what the inspiration was and stuff, it's been something that has obsessed me for a while!
(i read about it before Tower of Babyl was announced as an event, i can tell you my theories ran wild at the time until they made it just "the ruins of the Pandemonium")
Also fun fact, my mom is the type of person who is always watching a documentary of some kind, depends on what she is having a major interest in at the moment, and for some reasons, our interests end up overlapping in weird ways like... when i was reading the Dragon Knights stories, if i was to wander into the living room, she would somewhat coincidentally be watching a documentary about Arthurian legends. Stuff like that. All the time. and so while i made my own researches about Etemenanki at the time, since i was staying at my mom's for a bit, it just happened that it was in the middle of her Babylon and Canaan obsession so it was all there was on the TV, and i had a moment of "going to grab something in the kitchen only to hear the TV start talking about the Etemenanki and being all like wtf"
So i feel you so much in term of suddenly being spooked by this type of things in documentaries. Always an amazing feeling right?
#the thing to know about me and my mom is that like two years ago for my bday we went to a restaurent#and i was deep into demon-inspired content like wmtsb and obey me#while she was deep into Canaan and Babylon stuff#and we like. spent the whole dinner discussing on the disembuguity of the mythos around Beelzebub and Satan in particular#were getting super intense too i remember we talked about the Helel Ben Sahar/Shalem myth too#but we were *so* intense about it and discussing Baal and stuff#and then like. halfway through the dinner we noticed the people right next to us were super uncomfortable and stealing glances at us#and later i overheard them speak english and they didn't know a single bit of french#so i don't think they like. knew what we were talking about.#if not for hearing once in a while the demon names which are the same in french as in english#it lives in my mind rentfree forever. bc English folks are also much more sensible to demonic stuff than french ones#so it added a layer to it#we left the restaurent we couldn't stop laughing#so. well!#anyway long story short. yeah.#thank you again for sharing though <333#ichareply#anonymous#ichafantalks gbf

The sleepover scene always breaks my heart 😭 literally me at 12
#ik Marcy was being like annoying and talking about shit anne and sasha didn't care about#but it still hurts when sasha tells her to her face that she doesn't care 😭😭#i remember being told all the time that I shouldn't talk about things other people don't care about#or about uncommon interests#so I started to lie about the things I liked. whenever someone asked me what music I liked I said ''anything'' as if I didn't stay up at#4 am reading obscure lore from a conceptual album about a family of necromancers in 19th century north america written by a florida man#same with books and movies and all i just said I watched disney channel or something#even if my true obsession was stephen king or communist literature or just. late night wikipedia rabbit holes#like on time you learn to stop talking about people irl about your stuff and put it alllll on a tumblr blog#but at 13 you're so embarrassingly passionate and excited that you can't keep your mouth shut#and you're humilliating yourself and commiting social suicide because it takes you just a little bit longer than your pears to learn how to#act normal and read the room and stuff#wow marcy really do be like me fr#my posts#oh well that's what college is for thankfully! you get to be surrounded by people who share at least one (1) obsession with you now!#so you can make friends and meet up and just yap yap yap about mid century criticism of linguistic relativism#or functional-structuralist analysis of myths#i still do wanna find friends to talk about dragons about tho

OC Fact #67
Magic is a force that can corrupt.
It is not something the gods noticed until far too late. And that ended in a massacre.
The gods have the most potent magic of all, with their demigod children just below them. The magic translates to mortal blood with a strange oddity in the DNA, something that a modern scientist noticed when studying an old blade.
Dr. Kruger went down a long path of studying mythology just to learn more about the blade. There were odd mutations in the blood on the sword, said to be wielded to slay a demigod. But that was just a myth, right?
If it was, why did so many others have this same mutation in their DNA? Why could their ancestors be traced back to a singular place, where the myths originated? Were the gods real?
So he studied magic. He studied the blood. He studied the children. And by his hands, history repeated itself. This time, there were no gods to stop him. The one who remained didn't notice until it was too late, and even then she could only scream behind the bars of her cage.
#oc#oc fun fact#oc: Dr. Kruger#I still don't remember the name of the story I have to keep using the placeholder#Godly Idiots#artbabble-tm#THIS STORY HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL. THE SETUP AND THE ENDING IS SO GOOD I THINK (what you just read was part of the setup!!)#BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN BETWEEN. WHICH IS LIKE CRUCIAL#INSTEAD MY BRAIN WANTS TO DEVELOP INDIVIDUAL MYTHS AND FLESH OUT THE DYNAMICS OF THE GODS#LIKE NO!!!! BOY WORK ON YOUR PLOT

DPxDC prompt: Danny is Chronos' first child.
Well, not his first child biologically, to be completely honest.
It just so happened that the Phantom very often helped/helps/will help Clockwork at different times and his presence next to the titan required an explanation.
And the opportunity to call Zeus a little brother is worth a lot, right? So when the Ancient came up with this idea Phantom did not resist just to have such a pleasant bonus from their cooperation.
However, in the time of the gods and heroes, such a solution was not a problem. But in modern times, when Phantom tries to attract as little attention as possible in order to graduate from university, such relatives are more likely to cause a lot of problems.

Wonder Woman: Uncle Danny?
Superman, who wanted to chase away a teenager serenely strolling through still smoking battlefield, turns to Wonder Woman, who is waving affably at excactly this guy.
Well, Fenton honestly happened to be in Fawcett City by accident, and it just so happened that by chance it was on this sunny and cloudless day that the villains decided to cause riots worthy of the attention of the founders of the Justice League.
Danny: Diana! My dear, it seems like we really haven't seen each other not for a long time! In what century was it? Ah, I honestly, I barely remember it... The speed at which children grow up defies the laws of time. I mean, look at you! Your mother must be so proud. How's Dad? Still not paying child support, arrogant bastard?
Wonder Woman: Oh, uncle, please. I'm all grown up now, don't worry about me.
Danny: Hm, well, let's get back to this question later. I didn't want to embarrass you in front of your friends. Anyway, would you like to introduce them, little princess?
Wonder Woman: Of course, meet Kal El, Batman, and Shazam. The rest of the guys have already returned to our base. Would you like to...
Danny: Ooh, you're talking about, um... What do you young people call it? The Justice League, right? During my youth, the heroes rarely united and mostly performed all the feats alone. It's good that you help each other, kids.
Danny flies up a little to pat Superman and Batman on the head.
Under the Diana's gaze full of hope that they will get along with her uncle, the men do not move.
In the background:
Red Hood and Robin who used to hang out with Danny near the Lazarus pits: *sounds of seagulls dying of laughter*
~~~~~
Flash: So you're Diana's uncle?
Danny: Yes, call me Danny.
Flash: Cool, cool...
Danny: What does the temperature have to do with it? Do you need ice? Let me make some for you.
Flash: No, it's like,um, I didn't know that Zeus has a younger brother with that name. So, it's good to know?
Danny: Hmm, thanks. Many people tell me that I look quite young, hah. But actually I'm his older brother, so...
Flash: Older? Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to disrespect.
Danny: No, it's all right. It's "cool". I rarely appear on the pages of your human myths and legends, I know it. After all this business about Chronos devours his own children, my father punished me for a long time. So, yeah...It's a funny story.
Flash: Punished for what? How?
Danny: Uh, sitting in a room at a time when there is no Internet or electricity is not fun at all. You see, I just didn't want a younger brother or sister because I was afraid that my parents would pay less attention to me. So, I made up this stupid prophecy and persuaded Gaea to tell it in order to remain the only child in the family. My father would never have thought that I would decide to kill him, that's why...Phah, it's just a bad family story. In 10 thousand years, we'll all laugh about it.
Flash: Yeah, that's... funny.
Danny *is woken up by an emergency call from the League at three in the morning, although he fell asleep at two o'clock* (he gave his contact so as not to upset his niece): I knew this would happen! I knew it!
~~~~
Billy Batson *stands in his human form in front of the Justice League and doesn't know what to say*,*sweating nervous*.
Danny *enters the hall*: What's up, mortals, Diana and...Batman? My father said that there is something that I have to be here for. Oh! Well, at least someone in this family is also a shapeshifter. Have you decided to make a younger form so that your uncle doesn't feel lonely? What a good boy! Usually everyone is so afraid to seem like children, once they turn a couple of centuries old. Ah, youth~
Billy: Yeah, I decided to..experiment? and it seems I got stuck by accident.
Danny: It's okay, Uncle Danny will help you. Come on, let's go...
~~~~
Danny *teleports them to the Fawcett City*.
Billy: ....
Danny:
Billy: Hey, I'm still stuck!
A new portal opens and a man in a purple cape hands Billy a note. "Go to Constantine. P.S., my son always completes all assignments only by half, sorry." written on it.
Billy: Oh... OoOhHh!!!
Meanwhile, Constantine, who is forced to do additional work: Son of a bi... beloved and respected Master of Time.
Danny: Yeap, that's me.
Constantine: Damn it. Couldn't you just let Batman adopt him like in other timelines?
Danny: And where's the fun in that?
