The whole breakup audio is so weird and suspicious to me in general, because he’s constantly going back and forth between, “I’m happy and you are the love of my life, I want to be with you,” to, “I don’t think you’re the right person for a long distance relationship.” He keeps making and excuses, and gaslights listener into thinking that they’re “JuMPinG tO ConCLuSIONS”, whenever he insinuates something—and they respond with saying it outright. The audio is so suspicious to me because his behavior makes absolutely no sense!

Like—at least with listener, we have some sort of explanation as to why they acted the way they did in the first place, but even now I still can’t rack my brain as to why Alex was acting like that AT ALL. I never thought he cheated on listener, because I never got that vibe, but we also can’t take cheating off the table either. If he really was seeing Natalie behind listener’s back, then his behavior would make so much sense. He used listener’s mistake in order to induce the breakup, and his refusal to make it work could possibly be because he’s fallen for Natile. BUT, it could also be that he just doesn’t care about the relationship anymore, and simply wants to get rid of listener because he’s tired of them and doesn’t want to be tied down anymore—which could also be another reason for his behavior as well.

I do agree with you when you said that he used listener’s mistake as an excuse to move away and live this glamorous life in NYC, which was extremely shitty, and gives off such loser energy. The second point you made is definitely not off the table either—but if it somehow becomes cannon that he got with Natalie not even a month after him and listener broke up, that makes him even more of a shitty person, to be so for real with you. ‘Cause how tf you gonna tell your partner that they’re the love of your life, proceed to blame the failure of the relationship ALL ON THEM, gaslight them into thinking they’re the crazy one, AND THEN GET WITH THE SAME PERSON THEY ACCUSED YOU OF CHEATING ON THEM WITH NOT LONG AFTER YOU GUYS SPLIT???

That shit is actually evil, oh my god????😭

The Story is Dope

A New York office worker and a sex worker get set up on a date--one thinking it's a real blind date, the other under the impression it's an ordinary appointment. After realizing it was all a shitty prank, they set out for revenge. Their plan: show up to an upcoming Halloween office party as a genuine couple, convincing the pranksters they genuinely fell in love and refusing to let themselves become the butt of the joke.

Our main characters are Alex, an awkward admin assistant for a medical company who hasn't been on a date since he was a teenager, and Damián, a sex worker who seems way out of Alex's league but keeps insisting on spending time with him so they can perfect their revenge scheme.

The novel features a diverse cast and explores sex positivity. I also like to believe that it portrays sex work well. Damián is a hardworking man, doing what he loves, and meeting mostly great people along the way--but he also would benefit greatly if sex work was decriminalized and therefore had better resources at his disposal.

If you're looking for a story with LGBT characters that's mostly light-hearted but still packs a punch every few chapters, this is it! Overall, it's a happy story.

together, they're a weird lil dysfunctional family

I'll be honest. There's a lot of love in this story. From me and among the characters. The characters love each other, and I think the readers love them, too.

It touches on a lot of loneliness--inspired by how I've felt since Covid started--and a lot of the conflicting emotions that come with being gay. What happy endings do we deserve? What about happy middles?

It's a touching book about learning to be a better person and finding people who love you--platonically and romantically.

Summary: Now 18 Eleanor heads to her first year of college and falls for a handsome musician. Can she keep her royal secret be with her true love?

Eleanor dashed into the suite and immediately headed to her room. She began throwing things into a suitcase and tried to close it “Come on why won’t you close?”

Marissa stood in the doorway giggle “I don’t think it’ll close with that many clothes”

“Marissa this isn’t time for jokes I’ve got to get home and”

“Ok chill let’s take a deep breath you’re gonna get home”

Eleanor sighs “I’m sorry I’m so excited and I don’t want to miss this birth”

“You won’t”

“I know” She reorganizes the clothes and makes the suitcase close “I’ll make sure I’ll send you lots of pics”

“I don’t want pics”

“Why”

Marissa grins “Cause I’m going with you”

“What? Marissa I don’t think”

“Hey your parents already met me what’s the difference if I come in person and besides I wanna see the cute baby too”

Eleanor smiles “Ok ok if I say no you’ll just follow me long as you don’t post or send pics to your friends remember royal baby”

“Thank you Marissa now we got a flight to catch”

The car pulls up in front of the palace as they step out Marissa’s eyes almost pop out of her head “Holy shit this is amazing am I dreaming”

Eleanor laughs “You’re not dreaming unless you want me to pinch you”

Eleanor laughs “Come on let’s head in mom should be in the doctor’s office”

They head in and head straight to the doctors quarters where they find Alex outside the door. Soon as he sees Eleanor he grins widely “Sis!” He runs to her and throws himself in her arms

“Hi lil bro”

“I missed you”

“I missed you too this is my friend Marissa”

Alex grins “Hiiiiii”

Marissa giggles “You’re so cute Alex”

“Not cut I’m tough like uncle Drake says”

Marissa laughs “Oh I’m sorry your very tough”

“Yup that’s right soon I’ll be the toughest and strongest in the world” Alex turns to Eleanor “Sis Daddy won’t let me in the room why can’t I be there to see the baby?”

“Oh well having a baby is a process that they don’t want little boys to see yet it might scare you”

The doors open and Liam walks out all dressed in his surgical clothes and mask he pulls off his mask and smiles

“Hi dad” Eleanor hugs him and he hugs her tightly

“Hi my princess god I missed hugging you”

“Me too dad”

He kisses her forehead then turns to Marissa “So glad to finally meet you in person”

“You too King Liam”

Liam chuckles “It’s Liam now”

Marissa giggles “Right Liam”

Alex jumps up and down “Daddy is the baby here?”

Liam laughs then he grins “Yes she’s here” He kneels down “But she’s sleeping so you have to be very quiet”

not tea but tbh i don’t want the yotes to go to SLC. i don’t follow them but i think they just need help in az and moving them to another stadium not ready for hockey won’t help. also i wonder about the cultural impacts of that….marketing hockey to mormons? no hate to mormons but i don’t think that would make hockey more welcoming 🫠

yeaaahhh i mean i think hockey belongs in the desert and i'd love the yotes to stay there but... the NHLPA has been kicking up a huge fuss about the state of the arena, the locker rooms, the lack of professionalism the players have to deal with... if they get another arena built it's not going to be for 5+ years, and that was just too long for the NHL & NHLPA to wait. i can't say i disagree with that.

however, alex meruelo is an idiot and a con artist and is one of a long line of incompetent coyotes owners... like he wasn't even paying their hotel bills this szn until all the hotels banded together and forced him to pay w a check up front... he's been spending as little money on this franchise as possible, lying to his staff and players and the fans, and is now getting a huge pay day out if it... it's sick (derogatory)

it's rly sad bc hockey has clearly been successful there at a grassroots level - one of the best active players is from there (matthews), and the fans are clearly passionate as they've stuck with the team through decades of incompetence and bullshit. the nhl and the owners they trusted to take care of this franchise really fucked up and it's really sad to watch this go down.

in terms of SLC - i'm skeptical but i think it can work. yes there's a lot of mormons there ofc but it is genuinely a growing tech hub. i know of more than a few people in my circles who have moved there recently bc they can work for a local tech company/work remote/have access to big city amenities/have access to nature - skiing, mountain biking, hiking, etc.

this ryan smith dude seems like a bit of a weirdo. in general i don't trust wealthy culty tech bros (elon musk, anyone?) but he has a track record of purchasing and investing in a pro sports franchise (although purportedly the team hasn't been good underneath him - their STH base is strong). they are going to start off playing in an arena built for basketball, but they have a proper NHL-worthy arena on the way - with full local & state backing from both public and private sectors. they are already 10 steps ahead of arizona with regards to that, and that was one of the most important pieces to the NHLPA.

i do wonder how this is gonna work considering the strict alcohol and gambling laws in utah. sports betting is literally illegal there lol. i think one of the reasons vegas has done so well (besides the team just winning right off the bat, etc) is bc vegas has a party/entertainment culture... and when done right, the NHL is perfect for that. genuinely one of my fave things to do is go watch my local team, drink some beers, and soak in the atmosphere in the crowd. it's so fun. will require some major buy in from the growing corporate/tech crowd in SLC but as i said lots of younger people are moving there from other places so. we'll see how it goes.

they are getting a team with a ton of great young players and prospects (i do think some of the older players will request trades) and the owner seems willing to spend money and make a splash in free agency. if they get it right i think it can go really well.

i feel so, so bad for yotes fans who have lived through this long rebuild and are now having to watch their young players & prospects they were so excited for, grow and develop for a different city. it really sucks.

let me drop some drama on y’all — in the last year + 7 days, I:

reconnected with multiple friends from high school at a wedding I legally officiated for two old friends

realized in hindsight that I had liked one of our classmates when we were in school, who had attended the wedding and was now recently divorced

started talking to him very often and, by proxy, the husband I officiated the wedding for

started an on-off flirtation with the divorced friend — [clarification: HE started it, but I was very receptive when I realized what he was doing, it just took me a while]

became the “dump my mental health problems” friend for the husband^ who I’ve said is like a baby brother to me for *checks calendar* 12+ years

was accused by my friend’s wife AND the friend that I was flirting with that I was having an affair with the husband or at least harboring romantic feelings for him

she also accused me of behaving like her abusive mother, when I told her she was out of line for even thinking I would have an affair with (1) her husband (2) who I kept saying was like a baby brother to me

held an intervention for the husband about his ragingly out of control anxiety, where he proceeded to, like, beat the windows of the car and yell and be violent [not at me but around me and I was very triggered and scared] — after which he said he couldn’t trust me anymore because I was projecting my anxiety onto him, and he was fine

fell into an episode of psychosis because I was surrounded by people who didn’t trust me for reasons they’d all made up in their heads, and were all mad at me for ❤️

[while in psychosis] dealt with the guy I was flirting with talking about wanting to sleep with his coworker, and being very on/off + hot/cold with me — which I wrote off as post-divorce emotional problems I just needed to be patient through lmao

[while in psychosis] dealt with the husband’s mental breakdown about never wanting to get married in the first place, dragging my family and the family of the guy I was flirting with into the mess — we got the husband pink slipped and I stopped talking to him and his wife

was told by the friend that had been flirting with me that he’d been leading me on, as he proceeded to ditch me for another friend that I helped him reconnect with — but promised me that we were besties and nothing would change!! (how kind. also? he broke that promise immediately and called me difficult)

dealt with his new girlfriend lying to me about them not being together, because no!! hoes before bros, Alex, I would never date someone who hurt my friend!! but also you need to be personally accountable for feeling hurt!!

there’s more in the way they’ve both treated me since he decided he was done with me, but my therapist and I are still parsing through it

turns out I probably don’t need to be taking Ativan twice a day and sleeping after work + all night bc of the high dosage, I just needed to start cutting out bad friends! my anxiety has never been more managed now that I’ve decided to listen to every other friend that’s told me these ones were all no good for me! I do need the anti-psychotics, though. I heard voices for 2 months and it was NOT a good time.

I didn’t have this much drama in my life ten years ago when we were actual children — the next time I start posting about liking a man, someone remind me that it brings me absolute misery. None of this would have happened if I hadn’t wanted to hop on his dick 🙄🙄🙄

“You could use a buddy, don’t you want a pal?” The spirit talked with his talons, “Yes I do, Yes I do!”

(He darted around Iguana) “Girl, the way I see it. Your uncle should be leaving, and you should stick around.”

(He grinned smugly, looking at her) “-And kill him.”

(Iguana looked surprised) “What?”

(The ghost kept smiling and looked away,) “Nothing.”

(He put talons on Iguana’s shoulders) “So, Iguana don’t end yourself.”

(He balled up his talons confidently) “Defend yourself. Uncle is the one you should maim.”

(A ghost like dagger formed in his talons with fake blood) “Together we’ll exterminate, assassinate.”

(She looked surprised again) “No!”

“Finer points can wait. But first you gotta say my name.” (The dagger vanished)

(He darted over the bluff floating with his elbows propped up on the railing) “So go ahead and jump but that won’t stop him.”

(He darted over to her side wrapping a foggy wing around her) “Here you got a solid plan B option.”

(Iguana looked startled as he looked down at the Hourglass)

“I can bring your uncle so much pain!” (An angry glimmer appeared in his cold, icy eyes)

“All you gotta do is say my name.”

(He held up three talons) “Girl just say it three times in a row, and you won’t believe how far I’ll go.”

(He made a bench with his magic and sat on it) “I’m on the bench-”

(It vanished and and he looked at Iguana’s confused expression) “-But coach just put me in the game. All you gotta do is say my name.”

“I don’t know your name.” (Iguana shrugged as she turned back to the edge of the bluff)

(The ghost looked defeated) “Well I can’t say it.” (He used his magic to turn her back around)

(Iguana rolled her eyes) “How about a game of charades?”

“Yes! Let’s play it!” (The ghost began to create something signaling two with his talons)

“Two words?” (Iguana watched his talons)

“Right.”

“Second word.”

“Uh-huh.” (He did an action to signal watching)

“Observer?”

“No.”

“Watcher?”

“No.”

“Examiner?”

“No.”

“Stalker?”

“Yes!”

“Okay first word.” (She watched him make a black gas surround the two)

“Night?”

“No.”

“Black?”

“Ready?” (Darkstalker watched her grab the hourglass as he smiled chaotically)

“OH THIS I GONNA BE SOOOOO GOOD!” (He smiled as he lifted into the air and magic spread around them)

“-Don’t because, you’re so smart.” Iguana continued

“What.” (Everything vanished)

“A stand up bro. I’ll thing about your offer, let you know.” (She put her snout up to Darkstalker’s and squinted while smiling)

(She walked over to the edge and stood on the rail) “But I prefer my chances down below.”

“Darkstalker.”

“Yes!”

“Darkstalker.”

“Don’t get you wrong, being a young female doesn’t mean I’m an easy mark.” (She leaned over the rail, looking back at Darkstalker who was frustrated)

“I’m swimming with piranhas, I don’t need a shark.” (She looked down at the waves crashing onto the bluff)

(She shrugged) “Yes life sucks, but not that much.”

“Okay Darkstalker, Darkstalker, Don’t give me a lecture.” (She looked back at an angry and frustrated Darkstalker.)

“Agh…I’m offering you a full time specter!” (He drifted over to her)

“Are you any good?”

“You betcha.”

“Trust me baby-” (He was interrupted)

“I just met ya.” (She grinned)

“Really it’s a flattering offer.” (She let the late afternoon air in her frills)

“Then Darkstalker, what do I need you for?” (She looked confused)

(Darkstalker stood up and put his talons out in protest)

“Hold up- Hold up girl, I’m your pal!” (She watched her take the hourglass in her talons)

“They’re sweet, but I’m a demon. Straight from hell!”

(He dashed over wrapping his glowing stary wings around her)

“I know I went a little hard on the sell.”

(She grabbed the necklace tossing it down the bluff)

(The three remaining heard a shatter)

“What? He was already dead.” (She watched the current take the glass shards and sand away)

“You heard him, any ghost can do that possession stuff.” (She turned the the twins)

“We don’t need that demon! The three of us alone can wreck Uncle’s evening!”

“Together we can make a grown man weep! Guys, I got a dinner date to keep!” (She stabbed her talon through a leaf)

“Okay. So what’s the plan?” (He looked at her cautiously)

“He’s gonna freak when we possess him!” (She set the ground on fire)

We been in no contact for 3 days. Im oddly not freaking out about it anymore.

I originally broke contact a while ago and we planned to meet. We did and you told me how good I was doing in comparison to you. I had no idea what to say. I can’t be honest with you anymore so it hurt me to have to bite my tongue around someone I instinctively trust, but my head knows that’s not true anymore. I need to keep acting with my head not my heart.

You said something about you not reaching out again. You gave me a reason that I don’t remember but it just sounded like a dull excuse. I didn’t fight it. I knew that I’d snap eventually and give up, you just gave up way sooner.

I couldn’t look at you. Not once. You prefaced us hanging out by saying “no romantic stuff” and I didn’t think twice about it..but looking at you stirs up all the sappy feelings I have for you. It’s bittersweet.

We didn’t get to hangout because your mom called and I had to take you home. You looked at me in the face when getting out, but told me you loved me. I felt myself biting my tongue yet again and avoiding your eyes.

For the next two days I tried initiating just to hangout, text, or call, and you blew me off over and over again. It really hurt my feelings and it was a slap in the face I needed.

After your last text I decided not to respond anymore. That was 3 days ago. It shows how much you didn’t value me/friendship/ any kind of relationship. It really hurt my feelings. After 7+ yrs of knowing each other bro. Idk man it’s just wild how quick you switched up.

My plan is to heal and grow as much as I can. I want to be a better version of myself for myself and others that I hold dear to me.

2. Working on my core wounds/attachment style/ triggers.

3. Acting less emotionally more rationally

4. Become more engaged at school

5. Try new things

6. Journaling

7. Therapy

8. Mindfulness and Self love.

I really want to change and grow as an individual. I’m eager to.

After reading all these psychology books I realized that I never have really worked on my core wounds and they are surfacing their way into my adult relationships, and that’s something I want to work on. As well as my attachment style from that core wound, I want to be secure with or without someone.

I will finish up my school this spring and leave for a few months back home so we can be physically separated again. There I’ll focus on myself physically, emotionally, and mentally. I want to be a different person the next time we cross paths.

Maybe in this time you’ll truly understand what you did and what you lost in return. Maybe you won’t. I can’t control that. I just can only hope. I thought what we had was a really good thing. I really did. But you have consistently chosen other people and things over me. Even as a long term friend I feel so disrespected and hurt. I know I don’t deserve this, yet I still want to come crawling back to you just to hear your laugh, or see your smile.

I really hope our time apart gives you time to also feel remorse and regret. You still haven’t admitted to anyone what you did, but will focus on all my wrong doings. It’s unfair. It’s so unfair because I’m the complete opposite of my friends, I tell them everything even the things I never wanted to admit, but that’s because what they tell me next will be a full honest response that I can use to further improve myself. I want to be the best version of myself and I want to learn and grow. You just keep avoiding out of fear, shame, and, guilt. You keep getting the information that you want to hear, not what you truly need to hear, but that again ties back to your personal agenda. I can’t influence that only you can actively decide to work on it. That hurts. And when I did bring it up you said “well what can I do now it’s in the past”. It’s just so aggravating. I wish you’d just listen to yourself and observe the conversations we have from a 3rd person perspective.

I guess you can say I’m starting to reach the angry stage of grief. While I’m still hurt, and sad, I find myself getting angry at things I overlooked just because I wanted you back so badly. I’m still not mad about the cheating and I hope I’ll reach that point soon. Maybe it will give me the push I need away from you.

I still am worried you’ve already started talking to another. Maybe you are. That’s not my business anymore and I’m trying so hard not to find out. If it’s true that also just shows me who you really are so yet again it’s bittersweet, but I can use it as motivation to keep moving forward.

I’m worried to see you Sunday. I know most likely you’ll be locked in your room, or out. I somehow wish it wouldn’t be that way, that you would come to me desperate to see me again, but that’s not how it is going to go. I just need to lock in and focus on MY boundaries. As much as I want it I know even seeing you will set me far far back. I can’t even look at you. I’d try to speak or I’d try to touch you and that’s not good for me or either of us.

If it were for some reason my deepest fantasy played out and I got to see you come to me asking to speak or for a hug I feel like I’d cave in. I’m so worried. Last time at the apartment you hugged me and then tossed me aside again. I can’t keep letting it happen. It hurts so bad. You get to choose when you want and have me whereas I don’t.

I’m also scared about sex. This last two times were fine, but again you ignored me the two following days. I know for a fact if you came up to me after a workout or something I would cave in so fast OR HOPEFULLY I will excuse my self and give myself time to process it. But brooooo. It’s like dream after dream I have about you which sucks. I wake up wanting you, I go to sleep wanting you. It’s no one else. No one else can capture my heart like you. It hurts so bad knowing that’s not the same for you tho lol. You’re just using me till you find what you want, I know. It hurts so bad. I was fine with you being my one and only but you’re not. It hurts so freaking bad brooo. Every intimate moment I’ve shared with you was special to me. I never let another soul see me the many different ways you have, and I planned on that forever, but you on the other hand dgaf and are also using me knowing it hurts me, your only thinking about your short term gratification. It’s partially my fault because my boundaries are nonexistent and that’s something I’m working on. I’m just ashamed and embarrassed because I want you so bad, and I see it as a sacred act of love and you just see it as “oh he’s easy and available”. Ouch!

In all honesty I dream that I give you space, so much of it, you realize you fucked up badly. You’ll see me changed and better and realize you fucked up. I hope you’ll finally have addressed some of your issues too. You’ll be better bc you put in the work! You’ll be remorseful and want me back in your life. You’ll slide back into my life somehow, I’ll give it a shot, we both feel the same sparks as before and hop right back into a better version of our past relationship. A secure, healthy, communicative, loving, respectful relationship. We ease slowly into it because I want us to both be rational with our feelings and minds and that can take a while.

I know I shouldn’t have to beg for you, I shouldn’t have to emotionally bend for you, I shouldn’t have to warp my boundaries to please you, I shouldn’t have to overlook what you did. Winds Over Neo-Tokyo

I just read that Taika Waititi's live action remake of Akira is still in the works and, f*ck, if I'm upset about it. his cat is the absolute wrong choice fr this film. And i say film because he wants to remake the anime classic, not re-adapt he manga it’s based on. This sh*t is devastating because Waititi doesn’t have the chops to deliver on the entire vision that is Akira. Mans doesn’t make epics. He makes cute little character dramas, wrapped in clever humor. That’s fine for, say, a There film or Jojo Rabbit but Akira? Bro, there is nothing “fun” about Akira. It’s an existential hellscape masquerading as a nihilistic, dystopian, nightmare. Nothing Taika has ever made, makes me believe he can deliver on such heady material. That said, there are several directors that i think could and i wanted to highlight them here.

Denis Villeneuve

I think, aesthetically, Deni is the best choice for this sh*t. He’d bring the spirit of  Katsuhiro Otomo’s masterpiece, but gift us a more epic and cinematic visual presentation. He’d do what he did with Blade Runner, i think, and give us something very special. That said, mans is busy finishing up the best Dune adaption to date so i get why he’s not tied to this picture. Such a goddamn shame, that.

Alex Garland

Ex Machina and Annihilation. That’s it. That’s the pitch. If I'm objective and not completely up Denis’ ass because of how goddamn gorgeous his films are, it’s Alex Garland. This man has proven he can do Cyberpunk with Ex Machina and delivered some uniquely grotesque body horror with Annihilation. he less said about Men the better but, even in that weirdly pretentious train wreck, you can see the potential to deliver on the existential trauma everyone suffers from in Neo Tokyo.

Robert Rodriguez

Book of Boba Fett aside, Rodriguez delivered Alita: Battle Angel and nailed that sh*t perfectly. Alita is, arguably, the best anime adaption we have o date and that was all thanks to Rodriguez respecting the source materiel. I think he could deliver a very solid, very faithful, Akira adaption, though, he wouldn’t be my top pick.

Neill Blomkamp

I don’t understand how this dude wasn’t the first one called for this project. I mean, have you seen his catalog? Elysium, alone, nails the emotional tone necessary to bring Tetsuo’s journey to the big screen and dude’s sci-fi sensibilities are unassailable. District 9. Chappie. Everything out of Oats Studios. He’d do Neo Tokyo mad justice. Blomkamp is the obvious choice and he didn’t get a meeting? Really?

Leigh Whannell

Leigh is probably the best fit for his film in terms of experience , availability, and budget. This man has worked wonders with nothing and all of his films feel tactile, like they use way more practical effects than they actually do. Plus, his background in horror will go along a way to delivering that Tetsuo meltdown in the Olympic Arena at the climax. If you’re not convinced, go watch Upgrade and tell me this man can’t deliver a fantastic Akira adaptions for pennies on the dollar of what it will take Taika.

Chad Stahelski

The other half of the brain trust that gave us John Wick, Stahelski has proven himself to be one of the best action directors in the business. I think that level of creativity lends itself to he stylized nature of an anime adaption but, specifically, Akira. Some of the brilliant set pieces he dreamed up in the John Wick series go a long way to lending confidence in his ability to capture the gritty, urban, feel of the Cyberpunk genre.

Michael B. Jordan

And the dark horse entry bringing up the rear! Jordan is a card-carrying weeb and he can actual direct his ass off. Creed III is dope as f*ck and that scrap at the end was brilliant. Mans literally said, out loud, he took from anime like Megalobox, Naruto, Hajime No Ippo, and Dragon Ball Z to make that happen. What that says to me is he knows his sh*t, that he would treat this adaption seriously and give us something a fan would want to see.

If i had my pick, i think Garland or Blomkamp should be directing this production. They definitely have the chops in terms of experience and vision to give us something really special. It’s insane to me that f*cking Taika Waititi is the guy in charge of bringing one of the most influential films, not just an anime classic, to live action. The same f*cking guy who sh*t the bed with Thor IV. The same f*cking guy who played a fat, brown, imaginary Hitler. Like, this man makes quirky comedies and you want him to helm the entire production to one of the bleakest films ever made? Really? I’m not trying to say Waititi is bad at his job because he isn’t. I love Jojo Rabbit. I love Thor: Ragnarok. I love What We Do in the Shadows and Reservation Dogs. None of this sh*t screams Akira to me. Dude’s out of his depth with that material and I'm terrified he’s going to make it some goofy, juvenile, chuckle-fest when it’s not supposed to be at all. Now, if we're talking a Bartkira adaption, Waititi might just be perfect for that...
