operation: no hate, just date | 심재윤

pairing. jake sim x idol!gf!reader
the objective is clear—make both of your fans believe that you and jake, in fact, don’t hate each other by convincing them that you’re actually in love. which you are. sadly, jake doesn’t get to shout it from the rooftops like he desperately wants to. instead he’s trapped in an elaborate plan that’s moving at a snail’s pace, but one night on weverse with the boys might speed things up.
genre. fluff & very very mildly suggestive
a/n. this is the second part to loverboy! you can read it by itself if u want but it might be more fun if u don’t lol enjoy! x
[ › first part ][ › third part ]
it’s been a week since jake and you were pulled aside and shoved into a meeting room where an unforeseen entourage informed him that he sucks at being your boyfriend but makes for a great arch nemesis. he had left that intervention feeling annoyed and his privacy violated, but at least they had a plan. whether that plan is a good one is still up for debate.
grey sweater guy from pr keeps responding to yuki’s plentiful emails with stupid roundabouts of how patience is a virtue and playing the long game always benefits the player. the problem is jake has no patience, and the only person who seems to get it is you.
which is likely why even after the fourth facetime call of the day, his darling-angel of a girlfriend has yet to tell him to piss off. he keeps peeking at his phone, which he has propped up against his pillow, only to begrudgingly return to his scattered lego set, positive he’ll crash out if he doesn’t hear your voice soon.
when the call finally connects and you appear on the screen, it’s like watching the sun rise. jake can feel the tension leaving his body and a lopsided smile curving over his lips. he’s hopeless, really.
you grin through the phone, hands in your hair as you tie it back, and say by way of greeting, “yunjin showed me a tiktok earlier.”
abandoning whatever he was building, jake scoots closer to his phone. “what was it about?”
“us, of course,” you say cheerily, and jake swears his heart skips a beat. not because he’s anxious of what you’re about to say but because it happens every time you refer to him and you as an item. an entity. it’s embarrassing but he kind of likes it. he likes being an idiot for you.
“someone put together a bunch of clips of everything we’ve been doing this week and it blew up on twitter.” you gently rub your oil cleanser over your face.
jake perks up at your words. he didn’t think anyone would’ve noticed any of the stuff he was told to do as part of the stupid plan. an unsettling concoction of excitement and terror swirls in his stomach. “what did they say?” he asks, fiddling with a lego piece.
you take a moment to wipe off your eye makeup, scrunching your nose when jake calls you a panda. “apparently people have been noticing how close we stood on the encore stage and that we kept looking at each other. it’s funny—i didn’t realise in that moment, but when i watched it back it looked like you’re either creeping up on me or you’re extremely terrified.”
jake tilts his head. “terrified of what? you?” he furrows his brows. “i just looked at you a couple of times like they told us to.”
“i know you did.” you turn off the faucet and grab a towel to dry off your face, trying to keep the amusement in your voice at bay. “but, babe, you’re either staring me down—unblinking—or you’re casting glances at me like you’re scared i’ll turn around and jump you.” you can’t help but giggle. “someone commented, ‘i can’t tell if jake is contemplating if he should push y/n off the stage or if he should throw himself off it.’”
jake gawks at you with his mouth agape. “that’s what they’re saying?”
you nod. he falls backward with a groan and covers his faces with his arms. “i can’t believe it. that’s what it looked like to them? really?”
“i know.” you say, more amused than empathetic.
“that’s crazy,” he says, pushing himself upright again, hair sticking out even messier than it had before. “i’m actively trying to act like a lovesick fool—which i am! don’t even—and people still think i’m trying to break your neck? that’s insane.”
you hum supportively. “at least some people believe you were offering to break your own neck for me. that’s romantic, right? we might be on the right track here.” you keep your tone playful, but jake looks at you with his starry eyes and pouty lips, resembling nothing short of a kicked puppy.
“i’m sorry i keep messing this up,” he says and the thinness in his voice makes your heart break.
“jake, you’re not messing anything up.” he looks at his hands, avoiding your gaze. “you can’t control these things, people will interpret and perceive it however they like. it’s always been this way, and it’s always been out of our control. doesn’t mean it’s your fault.”
“i don’t know, y/n,” he says quietly, and the sight of him hanging his head has you nearly sneaking out of the dorms and going over to his. you’ve never seen him look this miserably at a lego set before. “if i wasn’t so awkward and knew what to do, we wouldn’t even be in this mess.”
“no one’s perfect and all-knowing.” you pick up your phone with a frown. “and why do you keep calling it a mess? is that what you think this is?” you enter your room and get into your bed. jake looks up at the sounds of your blanket and wishes desperately he was there with you.
instead, he loosens a breath and sweeps the lego pieces onto the manual, placing it on the floor and going under the blanket as well. “what else should i call it?” he says. “it’s not a blessing.”
you ponder his words. “a mess would be our sex tape getting leaked or people making up rumours that we’re drug dealers or cannibals.”
jake cocks his head. “like hannibal?”
“i meant more like in ‘bones and all’ but sure.”
“oh.” he scratches his face. “well, we’re neither of those things. we also don’t have a sex tape.” the corner of his mouth quirks up.
“no, we don’t.” you pout, forcing a mock sigh. “but we could always make one? ‘operation: no hate, no date,’ am i right?” you waggle your eyebrows at him, prompting a wry smile to flicker across his face.
“they’ll watch it and come to the conclusion that i hate you even more.”
you huff a laugh. “we will probably also get kicked out of hybe and have to start slinging fishcakes on the street. which sounds like fun, to be honest. oh! we could make our own jingle and sing it for our customers. maybe we won’t even have to make the fishcakes if we’re successful enough.”
this earns you a laugh. “that’s just busking, baby. what you want to do is busk.”
you gasp in fake surprise before settling for a rueful sigh. “i am but an artist.”
jake presses his lips together as if to say ‘good riddance, what tragic calling’ with a saddened face before the two of you dissolve into giggles.
“okay, i get it.” he turns to lie on his side, face squished against his pillow. “going from idol to man with leaked sex tape who sings on the street and runs an unsuccessful fishcake stand would be a mess. but this is not?”
“correct.”
“i’m so relieved then.” he grins toothily at you and, of course, you reciprocate it. an involuntarily yawn slips through your lips and jake coos at you.
“is my girl tired after working hard all day?”
“she’s exhausted,” you affirm with bleary eyes. “you seem chipper for someone who’s usually drooling on his pillow by midnight.”
jake shrugs. “i’m not sleepy yet.”
you hold back another yawn. “do you want me to stay awake until you are?”
he smiles at you fondly, relishing in the softness of your drowsy voice. “it’s all right. you should go to sleep, baby.” he glances at the clock on his phone. “i think i’ll go live for a bit. haven’t done one in a while.”
“aren’t we feeling chatty tonight,” you tease, eyes fully closed now. jake swears he actually dies at how cute you look and smashes that screenshot button repeatedly. “i’ll leave you to it then. greet engenes for me.”
he grimaces. “if i do that, you’ll get your jingle and fishcake dreams fulfilled by tomorrow morning because we’ll both be unemployed.”
“sounds lovely.” you rub your eyes.
“yeah,” jake merely whispers, attention span momentarily off the rails as his doting gaze traces your face. he takes another screenshot for good measure. “good night, pretty girl,” he says tenderly, raspy voice and all. “see you tomorrow for the dance challenge and the fishcakes.”
a giggle bubbles out of you, and you crack your eyes open to offer your best, dozy smile. “and the busking. don’t forget the busking.”
“i would never. i’ll even steal one of jay’s guitars.”
you nod, pleased. “we’ll be on the run like bonnie and clyde. except for all the atrocities, of course.”
jake helplessly swoons. “i love you.”
“i love you too. good night, baby.”
the intensity at which his pulse quickens and his stomach tumbles needs to be studied because it should not be humanly possible to be so goddamn whipped. he’s not ashamed to admit that he could write lines upon lines of poetry right now just to ode your every quality and marvel at the curve of your mouth.
again, hopeless. but he’s more than okay with it.
so what if he flips onto his stomach right after the call ends, smiling blissfully into his pillow and kicking his feet? he might not be a lover boy, but he is in love.
with that same crooked smile that is probably etched onto his face forever, he opens the weverse app on his phone and opts for a voice live. as the first few people pool in, he gets lost in mindless chatter. it’s always nice to do lives at night. mainly because they make him drowsy.
at some point, he gets up for the bottle on his desk, hoping that chugging some water will wake him up. but when he returns to his bed and glances at his phone, comments keep flooding in at a speed that make them very hard to read.
“what’s this?” he chuckles nervously. “what happened? i just went to get some water.”
enhaswife: jungwon is live!! go live with him plss
sim hitomi: jungwonnie is live~~
xo, liz: CAN U GO LIVE WITH JUNGWON ‼️
“jungwonnie is live?” jake raises a brow. “that’s actually pretty early for him. it’s not even one yet.” he settles back into his bed. “i was here first though, so you guys have to tell him to come. tell him to come send a request.”
he watches the number of viewers decline rapidly, all of them seemingly leaving to do his bidding. he wields too much power and it might actually go to his head, he thinks to himself in amusement. “i told him,” he reads out loud. “i told him, he’s coming, i told him. you guys are so cute.”
not long after, the request pops up and jake is quick to accept it. his screen splits in two before jungwon’s eager face appears before him.
“yooiii,” jake greets him with a wide smile.
“yoooiiii,” jungwon practically shouts into his phone with excitement that is more appropriate for daylight hours. “what’s this? why aren’t you showing your face, hyung? are you naked?”
“what?” jake guffaws, adjusting his phone. “no, my hair’s just all over the place. engenes don’t need to see me like this.”
“oh, okay.” jungwon nods understandably as his eyes flit over the computer screen before him. the song that’s currently playing in the background changes to a more calm melody, and jake sinks further into his blanket, nearly letting out a moan at how snug he feels. “he’s bald, by the way.”
jake jolts so hard he nearly tumbles out of his bed.
“jungwon!” he watches as the comments explode into chaos. “oh my god, what have you done.”
the younger boy ignores him. “ni-ki shaved his head after practice, you know. he got the clippers from hair and makeup and went right at it. they weren’t too happy about it, but it went well. thankfully, i am so happy to announce that our hyung does not have an egghead.”
jake burst out laughing, glimpsing how jungwon’s smile expands with delight when he hears it. “i nearly lost an ear, but yes. all’s good.”
“he gave his hair to jay,” jungwon continues for no apparent reason except to bring jay into this. “he put it in a nice ziplock bag and gave it to him. jay almost cried. he was really touched.”
jake is clutching his sides, trying to keep his laughter down. before he can speak, a highlighted message pops up in the comments.
JAY: Ya! Why are you ruining my image
JAY: When jake gave me his bag of hair I wept
JAY: I wept.
JAY: Get your facts straight punk
“hyung!” jungwon says delightfully. “you’re here too. what’s going on, why are we all awake? is this a party?”
“it’s just us three here,” jake remarks, still chuckling. “what party only has three guests?”
jungwon shrugs. “i’ve never been to one.”
JAY: Me neither
jake cups his neck, deciding to join them despite the fact that there are plenty of pictures of them at several afterparties. “me neither.”
JAY: Wow
“wooow,” jungwon echoes, lips tugging into a smirk. jake frowns. did he miss something? before he can address it, a comment stands out to him.
“yes, we are a sad bunch,” he says jokingly in response to it. “you’re breaking my heart, engenes. no need to rub it in.”
jungwon snickers. “these comments are so fun tonight. i usually only get song recommendations. seriously, what’s happening? where are all my engenes who ask me to play chamber 5 for the eighth time?”
JAY: It’s because I’m here
JAY: I bring the smart ones
JAY: Also can you play chamber 5
“it’s my live.” jake scoffs when he reads jay’s comments. “they were here before you two came, and we always have very stimulating discussions.”
that’s not true. earlier’s heated topic of conversation was whether a tiger or a tiger shark would win in a fight. but jungwon and jay don’t need to know that.
“oh, hey, we’re tripple j,” jake randomly observes while suppressing a yawn.
“we are!” jungwon says enthusiastically. “the moment jay came in, all the comments were saying tripple j. imagine if all of our names started with a j. septuple j!”
JAY: Junghoon
JAY: Jeeseung, junoo, ji-ki
JAY: Annyeonghasaeyo, jenhypen-imnida
jake snorts. he glances at the time and lets another yawn overtake him. “guys, i think i’ll go to sleep. i can barely hold my eyes open.”
“i was waiting for you to say that,” jungwon quips.
“oh?” jake pushes himself up to fluff his pillow. “why? do i sound tired?”
JAY: Ow hay weor wibble j
jake furrows his brows, nearly suffering a stroke trying to read that. “hah. you’re funny.”
JAY: yoar wonny
“ahjussi, please go to bed,” jake says fondly and pulls his blanket up to his ears, letting it almost swallow him. “you’re talking gibberish again.”
JAY: :(((
jungwon ignores them, typing away on his keyboard. “i think i’ll continue my live for a bit if engenes want to join me.”
“yes, keep him company, guys.” jake yawns once more and quickly skims the comments one last time. his mind has become delirious, not really making sense of any of the words on his screen. he’s no longer thinking straight. he’s not thinking, period. which might be why his focus zeroes in on your name as it passes by.
he scrolls back up, looking for it, and finds himself reading it out loud without a second thought.
“do you want me to fight y/n for you?”
he lets his arm fall over his eyes with a funny expression on his face that no one can see and that he’s not even aware of. a mental image of you occupies half of his mind while the other half has simply shut off.
chuckling, he replies, “nah, i can take her.”
it goes quiet in the room as jake’s breathing evens out and jungwon’s typing slows down.
“hyung,” he says with emphasis, a warning tone laced in his voice. jake blinks an eye open, way too tired to grasp the gravity of what he has done. jungwon, on the other hand, is close to breaking out in hives as the comments go ballistic.
jay is not of much help either. he has left the live to message the group chat, asking if they’re now in trouble and if they’re going to kidnap you and jake again. from what jungwon can gauge based on the rapid fire notifications he’s getting, jay’s coming in clutch with quotes and screenshots of the comments, and heeseung’s immediate reaction is to cackle away.
enhaswife2: wiat whaT DID HE JUST SAY
myseven: oh REALLY >:( y/n count ur days
sunoo’s gf: you sure about that? I can fight
xiiuu7: leave y/n to me, i can handle her for you
jake reads the comments through fluttering eyes, somehow finding it all very entertaining. “oh, i take her just fine, thanks.” he rolls onto his stomach, eyes closed, smiling like an idiot, and mutters into his pillow, “i’ve handled her in more ways you can—”
his door slams open.
not a second later, jungwon stands before him in his pyjamas and snatches his phone out of his hands, breathing heavily. it lands next to jake on his pillow with a thud. screen now black.
“hyung, have you gone mad?!” jungwon stares down at him in bewilderment, his own phone in his hand lightening up every microsecond. “are you actually insane? why would you say that into the microphone?”
jake blinks up at him. “what?”
another person joins them. “what’s going on?” sunoo’s socked feet pad over the floor as he pulls down his headphones, regarding the two of them carefully. “i heard doors slamming.”
wordlessly, jungwon passes him his unlocked phone. it’s opened to a twitter account transcribing and translating in real time what had just been said on their live, including jake’s slurred but still perfectly understandable words. in other words, stan twitter is going insane.
sunoo gasps, eyes widening with each tweet as he scrolls and scrolls and scrolls. he’s reading all kinds of things—engenes who are losing it and speaking of you, your group, and your fans as if there’ll be a sword fight at dawn.
your fans who are thoroughly disoriented and confused but ready to go for blood anyway because ‘what does he MEAN he can take her?? take her WHERE?????’
and people who don’t even listen to either group but are dying over the comedic timing of jake uttering those words, jungwon hurling himself out of his chair, his footsteps thumping in the hallway, the doors banging, and the live ending all under two minutes.
some people also seem to believe that jake is bald for some reason? sunoo shakes his head in disbelief. it’s like the internet has been bored for too long, and this has revived them.
an eternity must’ve passed now, and jungwon is still lecturing a very sleepy jake whose words and actions have finally caught up to him when sunoo suddenly yelps. he practically tosses the phone in the air, and both boys turn their attention to him. with a gulp, sunoo flips the screen around and holds it at an arm’s length.
“yuki is calling.”
jungwon exchanges a look with jake before he grabs his phone. “hello?” he says, clearing his throat. sunoo leans in to try and listen. jake, on the other hand, stays frozen on his bed, not even daring to breathe.
a heavy sigh sounds on the other line. “jungwon?”
“…yes?”
“there’s a change of plans.”

ONE THING ABOUT BEING THE QUEEN OF DELUSIONS? IT GIVES YOU A LONG WAY TO FALL
p.s. this post isn’t pretty, it wasn’t worth my time, or effort.
Hey Upper East Siders. Gossip girl here. Usually i’m here to help you fix your life, but @loaisacult, this one’s for you. And I can’t name any upper east siders more desperate than, well…you. It’s pitiful I know. But you can cry about it later, if you haven’t ran out of tears already, that is.
I don’t mean to start a fight, but there’s a weak link in every chain, and it just happens to be you.
I know you express your belief in the law of assumption being a cult. The funny thing is, when people don’t like something, they usually walk away, unless it bothers them that much. And the even funnier thing is, you complain about bloggers “preaching” the law of assumption, and getting others to follow. But what are you doing? Preaching your ideologies, in hopes that others will follow you too. Oh what’s that word again…hypocritical was it?
And oh sweetie, no one cares about your irrelevant opinions enough to affirm “@loaisacult doesn’t exist, @loaisacult doesn’t exist…” Talk about a weak argument. I hope law isn’t your major. But you know what is major? Your idiocy.
Calling people on this app suicidal? Pathetic. Although I can’t tell you that isn’t true. Because to some extent, it is. And i’d agree with you if you weren’t so ignorant. But I guess changing self in terms other than just loa isn’t your cup of tea. Bloggers are not meant to be personal therapists for people in the loacommunity. And yes there are and were previously some bloggers who would get suicidal asks from anons and just respond to them to persist. But why are you generalising EVERYONE in the community? Your point is immediately invalid. So because there were some immoral bloggers who would act that way automatically means that the whole entire practise of the law of assumption is a CULT? Hello? Do you hear yourself?
Let’s use your “logic” here. Say gossip girl makes a post telling her followers to worship satan. Therefore the whole entire loa community must ALL be satanists! Now how ridiculous is that…
Yes there are liars, everywhere. Oh i’m sorry, did that come as a surprise to you? You didn’t think the world was rainbows and sunshine did you? Well unless you assume it is. But at the same time, there are honest people too. Yet you like to pick and choose what to focus on. Look me in my virtual eyes and tell me that Lady gaga isn’t one of the most famous people on the planet. Oh wait..you can’t! News flash, she manifested that. And so did many of your other favourites. Yet you choose to focus on liars, because that’s what you want to believe. Of course a close minded, one sided argument is your way to go. Disregard everything else in the process why don’t you.
“It's ironic how some boast about manifesting luxury items like Lamborghinis, which could easily be rented, yet they fail to manifest meaningful change for their followers who are in abusive situations.” - l.o.s.e.r
B-b-but didn’t you say that you used to be a big blogger? So why didn’t you attempt to do the same? (As if! it would only work if they assumed so). But honestly, you don’t sound like someone who is educated on the law, you sound like those desperate anons in bloggers inboxes asking bloggers to manifest for them. Because why is that the point you used? To manifest for followers? Were you…one of those…followers? Talk about holding a grudge. No wonder why you’re so mad. If I had a dime for how many times you got rejected i’d be a millionaire.
“Want to prove to your followers who are spiraling about the American election rather than post persist hehehee how about you manifest for them….. change the election revise life’s an illusion while you’re crying about having your rights taken away lol but you can’t.” - l.o.s.e.r
Run upper east siders, we’ve got an idiot on our hands. Making a point on something completely false. If you really understood the law, you’d know that you can’t manipulate somebody else’s reality, unless they assume you can. But it’s not to my surprise that you didn’t know that, of all people. Last time I checked, it’s YOUR imagination, and nobody else’s. So WHY would YOUR 3D reflect THEIR imagination? And you claim to be a blogger educated on the law…quite a “big” one too. I cant name any “big” bloggers who’ve misinformed the law THAT bad. Talk about liars now…
At this point, it’s PAINFULLY obvious that you were one of those anons begging bloggers to manifest for you. Because you’re SO mad that bloggers don’t do that for people. They can’t really because it depends on your assumption. I’m not even making an invalid point here. It’s just so obvious. “Want to prove to your followers.” “how about you manifest for them” 😭 I’m literally in tears because of how funny this is. I’m sorry that no blogger has proven it to you or manifested “for you”, and you’ve carried that hatred with you and projected it onto the whole loa community. And the only reason you continue to believe that the law of assumption is real (rightfully so) is because you know that there’s way too much proof of it to even attempt to dismiss it without looking like a fool. And maybe a fraction of that belief comes from your hope, because without the law, everything you’d ever hoped for would be out the window.
In short, you make points about “why don’t you manifest for your followers 🥺” Well, I don’t know if you knew this but…there’s this concept called free will. And just because someone chooses to not do something, doesn’t mean they can’t. Is common sense just not part of the package for you? It seems the point flies right over your head faster than you can catch it, and the only thing that doesn’t land, are your “points”.
But if you still don’t understand me, let’s use a little bit of your so -called logic here.
‘Loa is real manifesting is real shifting is real but most people in this community lie and are culty 99.999% of the stories here are lies the people doing that shit don’t even post abt it probably think they’re in some dream most of the success here are creative writing and living in the end.” - l.o.s.e.r
From YOUR logic, couldn’t I just ask you to manifest that the liars don’t exist and that you no longer view the law of assumption as a cult? So why haven’t you…? You’ll ask anyone questions but yourself. And if they think it was a dream…then how did they send their success stories to bloggers? Did I miss an update because last time I checked, you can’t do that in a dream. See, your points are fuelled by complete hatred, not logic. You truly don’t believe what you’re telling yourself and others. Embarrassing.
And don’t get me started on how statistically IMPOSSIBLE that is. Do I even have to explain why? I promise you, thousands of people are NOT lying for the pure fun of it. That’s just not how the human mind works. Wouldn’t they rather shit on loa just like you rather than posting success stories hoping it’ll happen?I didn’t know talking out of the wrong hole was in fashion these days. But then again, not everyone has style. And if there’s one thing money can’t buy, it’s class. Was that a moth? Must’ve flewn right out of your wallet.
Now don’t get me wrong, i’m not bothered to read your whole blog and all the nonsense you cry about and debunk every little thing you say. Because trust me, common sense does the job for me.
Have fun continuing to “preach” your delusional idea of the law being a cult to yourself and your little followers. Like sheep. One after the other.
Don’t even think about trying to respond to me, as if anything you say makes sense.
P.S. I’ll delete this post later, I don’t like having drama on my blog. This is my first and last time addressing you. I just don’t want people in this community, including my lovely upper east siders to listen to idiots like you telling them that all the success stories they’ve read are fake, when that is so obviously not true. Only someone who hasn’t consciously the experienced the law for themselves would doubt others so badly, and you used to be a “big” blogger you say…The fucking audacity. But then again, it’s hard to believe in something you haven’t experienced for yourself (is it?), but at-least don’t get caught in a lie. Disrespectfully, shut your mouth and don’t open it again.

hey!!
would it be possible to write something about the host club members with a reader who’s pretty oblivious bc she like genuinely can’t believe that any of them would actually like her, and is a commoner that goes to the school on a scholarship? and the boys are just pervs/perpetually horknee lol
if you could just do it for everyone except honey, haruhi and the twins that would be awesome!!! ur the bestest!!
I think it actually would have been faster to say Tamaki, Kyoya, and Mori XD (kidding) I decided to do headcanons since I rarely write one shots with multiple characters and I couldn’t think of how to do it.
Characters: Tamaki Suoh, Kyoya Ootori, Morinozuka Takashi
WARNINGS: yandere themes, NSFW content, masturbation, panty stealing, aged up characters (final year of school for each)
Tamaki
Tamaki is easily the most obvious with his crush, but he’s also the one you’re least likely to believe is telling the truth when he flirts with you. As a princely character who romances girls for fun (and profit) and is adored by the entire female population, you don’t really believe he could fall for a commoner like you. Surely he’d fall for a girl from a richer family and not someone there on scholarship.
You’re not particularly bothered when a pair of your favorite panties go missing- probably just lost in the wash or something. Never would you even consider the possibility that Tamaki would break into your house while you’re at your part-time job and steal your underwear to wrap around his cock while he strokes it, picturing you beneath him or maybe riding him…
He gets frustrated by the way you’re so oblivious to his true intentions, but he can’t find a way to really get you to take him seriously. You just laugh or roll your eyes when he confesses. You’re breaking his heart, you know!
Kyoya
Kyoya doesn’t come out and say he has a crush on you, neither does he flirt or make his feelings known. To be honest, he’s a little ashamed that he’s fallen for a commoner like you. His father would never approve.
But you’re so cute, with your happy little smile as you greet him, how you talk to him like a normal person and not someone intimidated by his cold, manipulative demeanor. Although he would never admit it to anyone, he has daydreams about you. From grandeur wedding fantasies, to wondering how your body would look under your white wedding dress on the start of your honeymoon. He’s not usually a sexual person, so this is really shameful to him.
Don’t worry though, he’ll keep this all to himself. That is, until he’s got you cornered and you have no choice but to submit to him.
Mori
Mori is another one that it’d be hard to tell he likes you. He’s so quiet, but soon enough he’s standing guard over you like you’re royalty. He follows you everywhere like a shadow, but you think nothing of it. Surely he does this to everyone (not that he’d have time to). He even walks you home, but maybe that’s because he wants to be friends! You’re so friendly and sweet to him that it’s no wonder he’d want to be companions.
Mori isn’t really a sexual person, but he gets frequent hard-ons when you’re around. You have such an oblivious nature that you frequently forget to be careful around a man. When you’re outside of school, in a skirt, you don’t think twice about picking up items from the floor, giving Mori a view of what’s underneath it. You jump up and down without realizing it’s making certain parts of your body jiggle. It’s like you’re trying to tempt him!
But you’re poor, a commoner, an outcast- the idea that Mori would want to be so close to you is laughable, or so you think. In reality, he cares least of all what kind of background you have, especially when he can provide for you, if only you’d give him a chance.

got a notif on this and omg the gacha right now is a good one to join if you like this style! it seems quite popular so it’ll be easier to find trades later on if you get duplicates
of course to give you a choice, a new gacha is coming in tomorrow so we got the teaser picture today~ if you prefer the sweets & pastel aesthetic you can wait for the flower macaron island gacha tomorrow, thursday, nov. 16, 12pm jst (for north american timezones that’s wednesday, nov. 15, 7pm pst/10pm est)
if not, joining any time before then will get your beginner 10 pulls on the maple autumn island gacha!
in the end the free starter pulls don’t mean much since you’ll get tons of items, but it’s a nice bonus to be able to start with items you enjoy and will use even further down the road!
also the game had its first collab and it was with sanrio, if you join this month you can catch the tail end of it! what’s left from it are the 2 gachas (hello kitty theme and my melody & kuromi theme) and a free coin gacha until the end of nov.
you get at least 8 coins a day by watering/harvesting trees to put into the cinnamoroll coin machine to get stuff on the prize list

but ngl, other than that, the game has been pushing gp heavy spending so it’s been so bad (the sanrio collab being the main culprit 😭) but like any other gacha game, it’s preying on fomo so if you’re immune/don’t feel bad about “missing out” and only buy what you like you’ll be safe lol in the end it’s just a decorating game
the devs brought back an event to give us a free 2000 gp every month which is equal to a full priced 10 pull so they’ve actually increased the gp payout but i’m still in the trenches - btw this resets tomorrow also so if you join now you can solve this month’s riddle before it resets mid nov. 👀 (a 4000gp boost immediately omg)
you can dm me if you need any help and add me if you want! my id is above, ign timi! just leave a message saying you’re from tumblr so i know to accept you

i’ve been obsessed with this game for a couple months now called livly island and it’s so funny because there’s literally nothing to do in it but ironically that’s what keeps me going on because i don’t feel pressured to have to do much!! it’s a decorating, dress up, basic pet gacha game and you mainly do your dailies and go water and harvest trees and take care of your pets
when you first join you get 10 free pulls in the “tutorial” phase but they make you pull it on the current newest banner only, so i noticed a new banner is coming into the game today so i screenshot both banners so you can choose which one you like more:
teapot image, the newest one right now it’s already in game so if you like it start now and you’ll get 10 free pulls on it
succulents and keyboard image, this will be added into the game later today (12pm japan time, roughly 7hrs away) so if you like this one more then wait until that time to download the game and you’ll get the 10 free pulls on that one instead
even though it’s a gacha game, one good thing is that it let’s you trade your duplicate items with other players (it uses gacha currency to trade but the cost is less than a single pull so it’s actually better!) the english player base isn’t as big as the japanese and chinese player base but the game has google translate built in so it’s not too hard to understand each other
my id in game is pkxmf7h5 if you’d like to add me! you can also ask me anything if you need help, it’s a simple game but there are some quirks and it took a while for me to get used to their menus and submenu setup lol
#if you have not notice i am still obsessed with this game sjdkdkdk it’s so low effort for the serotonin i get back#i’m a very ~i like eVeRyThInG~ type person so i’m suffering so hard bc why are all the stuff so cute#then i end up with a whole bunch of mismatched items bc i didn’t commit hard enough to any one gacha 🥲#i feel like it was really bad for me when i first started because i was just overwhelmed with all the gachas and i wanted items so bad#but the more i play the more i can actually think like do i really like this?#and that was going so well for me until sanrio and all of sudden every gacha is also so good?? i’m too weak fr#anyways!! just have fun!! lol there are other tips i can give but that would make this post into a whole document so you can dm#or join the game’s discord! a lot of the active english speaking community is in there and they discuss stuff and help answer questions#the game gives a preview stream every month kinda like the mihoyo streams but only in japanese#there’s a japanese fan acc that posts the stream screenshots so you don’t have to watch#the stream always previews the first 2 gachas of the month and tells us all the big events happening#it’s super helpful because sometimes a heavier spending event will happen later in the month and i can save for it

Hi! Can I request Tommy Shelby who loves to spoil his gf and she has a hard time accepting it all but he reassures her in a very loving and protective way (hope you get what I mean lol) thank you! :')
a/n: This is short but I hope I did your idea justice! I just want to see him smile 😭
grand gestures
Thomas Shelby x f!reader
Warnings: Tommy being happy and in love, Tommy’s love language is gift-giving I don’t make the rules, kissing
You had been seeing Thomas Shelby for a while now and he was absolutely smitten. You have never met a man who doted on you as much as he did. Under his hardened exterior was a man longing to love and be loved.
On a particularly cold evening, you arrived home to a surprise. On your bed lay a beautiful new coat you had seen in the shops while out with Tommy. You must have stared at it in the window a little too long. He took that as a sign that you wanted it. You hadn’t even thought to go in and check the price tag, let alone purchase it.
Tommy knew you weren’t used to receiving many gifts so he made it his personal mission to make you comfortable with it. He’d started with a gold bracelet.
You had gasped when he took it out of the small box. “Tommy, you can’t. This is too much.”
“It’s not. Nothing is too much when it comes to you.” It was almost threatening. It sounded like a warning when he said it. It was foolish to underestimate how much you meant to him.
After the bracelet, he began giving you gifts periodically, even things you didn’t need or want. It was difficult for you to understand why he even bothered to give you all those things. Any other woman would welcome new dresses and jewels with open arms. Instead, you just felt like you didn’t deserve it.
You stared at the coat on your bed. Its fur collar was sure to keep you warm, you thought. The gold buttons going down one side shone in the dim light of your bedroom. You held it up and gawked at it. You rubbed your face into the fur and smiled. You didn’t notice, but Tommy was standing in the doorway.
“Why don’t you try it on?” His voice made you jump and you dropped the coat, putting your hands over your heart.
“Jesus, Tommy!” You sighed and laughed. He had been making a habit of being at your home before you were. He usually made himself known somehow, but tonight he decided to be a bit of a prankster.
“Sorry, love, couldn’t help it.” He chuckled, walked towards you, and pulled you in for a kiss. He always kissed you like it was the last time he would be able to.
He pulled away, “Do you like it?”
“I love it, Tommy, but” you looked down at the item of clothing, “you really didn’t have to. Really, you never have to.” You looked back at him and his arms were crossed, his head cocked to the right. He sighed and put his hands on your arms, caressing them.
Looking into your eyes he asked, “Do you love me?”
You replied slightly irritated “I’ve never loved a man more, Tommy, and you know that. I just- I’m not used to you spoiling me like this.”
“If you’re gonna be my girl, you gonna have to get used to it, love. Now, are you my girl?” He was deadly serious. He was never controlling, but you were his and his alone. He wanted to make sure you understood that.
You looked him in the eye. “Yes. I am.”
His hands held your waist as he pulled you in closer. He kissed you passionately. A small moan escaped. It was intoxicating. After a few moments, you pulled away for air. He put his forehead against yours and gave you a chaste kiss.
“You are worth more than anything I could ever give you. I wish I could give you the world,” he smirked, “the coat is the best I can do for now.”
You smiled softly at him. It would take some more work on your part but you knew that he did it because he cared.
“Thank you, Tommy. I love you.” You gave him a quick kiss.
He pulled away with a smile and said, “I love you, too.”
He reached over to your bed and grabbed the new coat, holding it up for you. You quickly took off your old one and he helped you put your arms through the sleeves of the new one. The inside of the coat felt just as luxurious as the exterior. The fur brushing your neck was comforting and warmed your skin. You stood in front of a full-length mirror and took in your reflection. Tommy stood behind you and wrapped his arms around your body, holding you flush against him. You turned your head to make eye contact with him.
He whispered, “You look beautiful, my love.”
You had hearts in your eyes, “You make me beautiful, Tommy.”

—------
you were certain this was the end of your friendship with jungwon. again. but this time you knew it would be permanent.
he was the boy who lived next door. growing up, you had always admired him from afar. the class president who everyone, including the upperclassmen, seemed to get along with.
you had liked him until freshman year, when you got tired of pining over someone who didn’t seem to hold any interest in you. as comical as it seems, that was around the time that he had started to take an interest in you.
and so he courted you, bringing you your favorite drink, walking you home, even coming over for dinner and hanging out at your house. this helped blossom a friendship that no one saw coming, and it wasn’t long until people started to wonder if you two were an item.
it took two months for jungwon to muster up the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend.
you were sure you were over your crush on him, that it was just a silly childhood crush. but as you hung out with him more and more, you couldn’t help but fall for him all over again. of course you said yes, because who wouldn’t say yes to the pretty starry-eyed boy standing before you?
jungwon was a nice boyfriend; going on dates quite often, never fought, and he would buy you flowers without being asked.. maybe the latter was why the whirlwind relationship only lasted five months.
you remember the day so vividly, sitting on the bench at your favorite park; the same park where jungwon had asked you to be his, and here he was, asking you to break up.
it seemed poetic in a kind of way, starting as his, and leaving as no one’s.
“i’m sorry. i’ve just lost romantic feelings,” jungwon stated, staring down at the grass as a breeze of wind came, the blades of grass swaying slightly. “it’s just that we’ve both been so busy with other things, and i guess we kinda just like, drifted apart because of it.”
“yeah, i think so too,” you replied nonchalantly, ignoring the slight sting in your heart.
his head snapped up, your eyes finally meeting his, “wait, actually? you’re not lying?” the sound of relief in his voice made your heart feel like it was being squeezed.
“do you want to get rid of me that bad?” you instead teased with a grin.
“no!” he exclaimed with wide eyes. “i still wanna be friends with you. i might not like you romantically anymore, but i don’t wanna like, lose the friendship we have, you know?”
“yeah,” you replied, “we can still be friends.”
and you two meant it. there were no tears, and no broken hearts (that you would like to admit). it was just a simple case of the right person and the wrong time, and as the years continued, you tried to convince yourself that it was just nothing. that jungwon was not your “right” anything- he was just your best friend, nothing more, nothing less.
you were almost successful. until your last year of high school approached.
you and jungwon kept your word, you stayed friends. always being seen together; walking to class, walking home, studying in the library, eating lunch in the cafeteria.
people still believed you were together, and you always had to correct them, because no you and jungwon were no longer together and no you were not a thing.
they never believed you, though.
there was always a small part of you that wanted to say yes when someone would ask. that you and jungwon were a thing and that he was yours and you were his. but you never did, callingyourself crazy for even thinking of doing so.
you found yourself doing it again as yuna had asked you earlier in the week.
yuna was the new girl this year, having transferred from jyp high. from what you heard, she was nice, smart, and she was gorgeous. you were never one to put yourself down, but you couldn’t say that you didn’t feel insecure standing next to her.
“no, jungwon and i are not dating,” you smiled politely. it was almost like a script at this point. “we’re just good friends.”
“that’s good to hear,” yuna smiled, her eyes sparkling. “i just wanted to ask him out, but i wasn’t going to if you had a thing!”
“oh, you’re thinking of confessing to him?” you questioned. there was that little part of you again. the part that always said no! tell them you’re a thing! tell them to not do it!
“yeah, he’s in a bunch of my classes. he’s super smart and polite and he always knows how to make me laugh. and he has such pretty eyes,” she sighed dreamily as her mouth formed into a lovesick smile.
“well, he has that effect on people,” you grinned.
i would know, you thought.
“i say go for it! he’s not particularly interested in anyone, you have a good chance.”
“you really think so?” she asked, eyes wide.
god, i hope not, you thought. as shitty as it was, you didn’t want jungwon to move on. you felt sick at the thought of him being with someone else.
“why not?” you said instead. “he’ll be at the library after school today studying, i’m supposed to meet him, but i can just tell him something came up.”
“oh my god, you’re the best!” she squealed, engulfing you in a hug. “thank you thank you thank you.”
“you’re welcome,” you smiled, wrapping your arms around her, ignoring the green monster growing within you.
—----
it had been four days since your conversation with yuna. every time you saw him, you waited for him to bring up the date with baited breath- but he hadn’t said anything. not yet at least.
or maybe yuna simply didn’t ask him on a date. that’s what you were secretly hoping, at least.
it seemed hoping wasn’t enough. on the fifth day jungwon approached you from down the hall with those twinkling eyes and a bright smile you love so much, he seemed more energetic than usual with a little hop in his step.
“you’re not gonna believe what happened today!” he exclaimed as he reached you at your locker.
you could believe it. you were the one who hooked yuna up after all. yet you feigned curiosity as you looked at him quizzically, “what is it?”
“yuna asked me on a date! me! of all people! she’s so cool and smart and nice and pretty,” he said with a dreamy look on his face.
you knew that look. the far away gaze as he thought of her. it was one you would never forget. it’s how he used to look at you. that lovesick grin and those twinkling eyes.
it had never bothered you before when jungwon had crushes on other girls, because well, that’s all they were. they never escalated into anything more. looking at his lovestruck expression, realization hit that jungwon wasn’t yours anymore.
you shouldn’t have thought of it that way. you should be happy for him! you should’ve been celebrating with him and cheering him on!
you couldn’t help the bittersweet smile on your face as you replied, “oh, well that’s nice.”
his smile faltered slightly at your expression, concern slowly forming on his face.
“are you okay?” he asked.
“i’m fine, don’t worry,” you said, regaining your composure. “i’m happy for you! and don’t worry about spending less time with me, you’re gonna be a busy guy now! with a girlfriend…”
“okay, she is not my girlfriend. and even if she was, I would never ditch you!”
“yeah whatever you say, loverboy,” you joked, giving him a playful nudge with your shoulder.
“no seriously, y/n,” he replied, softly. “are you okay with yuna and i being a thing? i just don’t want it to be weird because you and i used to be a thing, and i know we’re both over that but i just wanted to make sure-,”
“what, me?” you scoffed, cutting the boy off. “what you and i had wasn’t serious, it was just some dumb high school fling.”
even as you spoke those words, you knew they weren’t true. it was more than just a fling. you loved him and maybe you still did.
silence hung between you, the hallway getting quieter as the remaining students scrambled to their classes, the late bell ringing, leaving you and jungwon in the hallway alone.
he looked hurt at what you said. you immediately wanted to take it back, to say you didn’t mean it and that he was your first love and you didn’t want him going on that date with yuna.
“sorry, i shouldn’t have said that,” you muttered, not being able to meet his eyes and instead turning to close your locker.
“no, you don’t have anything to apologize for,” he replied, as he started to back away, making his way to his class down the hall. “you’re right, it was just a fling, and honestly, it’s so weird to think of us as a couple.”
it was like your world was falling apart around you as he spoke. did you interpret his hurt expression wrong? maybe this all was one-sided. did he not feel his heart breaking like you did? did he not wonder occasionally (or everyday) how his life would be if you were still together? did he not miss what you had?
maybe there really was nothing between you and jungwon but friendship.
“yeah, so weird,” you awkwardly smiled, walking to catch up with him. “but you and i, we’re good, right?”
“yep, no worries,” he grinned back.
“good,” you smiled. “so when’s your date?”
his eyes brightened ever so slightly as you asked. he started to describe his date– how he was going to take her to the beach and have a picnic and play in the sand.
you nodded along, your mind wandering off to when jungwon would take you on beach dates, burying him in the sand, splashing him with water and swimming away before he could splash you back.
you looked over at the boy in question, his starry eyes wide as he talked about his date plans, his smile wide and giddy, his tone as sweet as honey as he talked about her.
you knew you shouldn’t villainize yuna– she was a nice girl, a very nice one. it wasn’t her fault you were still in love with jungwon, and it surely wasn’t her fault that she liked him. it’s not like you could choose who you could fall in love with.
you of all people would know.
so you smiled and nodded along as you walked him to class, listening to him go on and on about his plans. you finally settled with the fact then and there, that jungwon would never be yours again. you had to let go.
—--------
it has been six months since that day. the day that you had decided to give up. yuna and jungwon have been inseparable since then.
he kept to his word though; still studying with you after school, showing up when you needed him, hanging out together. sometimes yuna would tag along, which you didn’t mind. she was fun to be around.
you also didn’t mind being the third wheel when she was around, instead teasing the couple and even offering to take pictures for them. they were a lovely couple and they were seemingly happy– jungwon especially, and that was all that mattered.
the school year was coming to an end, and seeing as it was your senior year, people were throwing parties almost every weekend.
you went every once in a while, had some fun, did some underage drinking, even flirted with a couple of people.
tonight was the party though.
intak was throwing his first party of the year, and everyone knew his parties were legendary.
you sat in the uber with jungwon and yuna, anticipating the night before you. you were excited, to say the least. the last time you went to a party was a month ago, and you were ready to have fun. you even put on your best party outfit for tonight!
you arrived at intak’s house (or more like a mansion), and started to make your way inside until jungwon stopped you.
“wait! before we go in, i think we should go over some basic safety rules!” jungwon exclaimed.
you rolled your eyes with a small laugh as you replied, “only you would go over safety rules at a party.”
“i’m serious, y/n, really bad things could happen,” he shot back with a pointed expression.
“okay wonie, go ahead, we’re all ears,” yuna smiled supportively.
you ignored the slight heart ache at yuna using your old nickname for jungwon- the one you used when you were together.
get it together, y/n you thought. letting go, remember?
you instead smiled and nodded reassuringly at jungwon, who looked over at you to make sure you were paying attention.
he sighed before continuing, “okay, i won’t be doing any drinking so i can babysit you guys all night. if you need to use the bathroom give your drinks to me so i can watch them. and y/n, if you leave the party at any point, for any reason, please let me know first.”
“sir, yes sir,” you muttered.
“now let’s go have some fun!” yuna exclaimed, dragging the both of you by the wrists.
you finally entered the house, where there seemed to be everyone from your school. even kids who graduated last year were in attendance, and as you searched the party for a familiar face that wasn’t jungwon or yuna, intak strolled over, a wide smile on his face.
“you guys made it!” he shouted over the loud thumping of the music. he was wearing a letterman jacket with a white shirt underneath, and a pair of baggy straight legged jeans. the outfit looked so good on him that you had almost forgotten that you were talking to intak of all people.
“you look nice, y/n,” he grinned.
you would’ve had a crush on him if he didn’t flirt with every girl he laid eyes on, and it seemed like his victim of the night was you. but damn did he look good right now.
intak wasn’t a bad guy, he seemed harmless, not like the guys who wouldn’t take no for an answer. he just always flirted, with no intentions of making anything serious. most of the girls he talked to never knew the latter though.
but you thought it couldn’t hurt, you were here to have fun, and if flirting with intak was the way to do it, then so be it.
you saw jungwon step forward, about to tell intak to back off and go flirt with someone else, causing you to put your hand on his arm to stop him.
you also noticed how yuna examined the scene in front of her; jungwon trying to be your knight in shining armor, and you with your hand on his arm to stop him. her eyes narrowed slightly in thought as you dropped your hand and turned to intak.
“why don’t you get me a drink and then we can talk?” you smiled dazzlingly. you usually reserved smiles like that for when you wanted to flirt and get wasted, and just as usual, it worked like a charm.
“i’ll be right back then,” intak smiled, before making his way through the crowd of bodies in search of a drink for you.
“really, y/n, intak out of all people?” jungwon questioned, arms crossed.
“yeah, and what about it?” you replied, feeling slightly annoyed at his tone of voice. he had never acted this way towards you before, but you didn’t like it. it wasn’t his business who you flirted with. he talked to you like you were an idiot and you hated the thought of him looking down on you.
yuna awkwardly stood between the two of you, not wanting to be in the middle of your fight, but not wanting to go off by herself at a party filled with people she barely knew.
“‘what about it?’” jungwon mocked your voice in a high pitched tone. “you know how he is, don’t be dumb.”
“dumb? i’m here to have fun, jungwon, not to play third wheel again,” you snapped back. “and why does it matter, you’re not my boyfriend, and you’re not my brother, so it’s really none of your fucking business.”
yuna had been looking back and forth between you and jungwon, watching as you glared at each other, waiting for someone to say something. it was like watching a tennis match.
at that moment, intak arrived, back with a red solo cup in hand.
“a drink for the prettiest girl here,” he announced, handing the cup over to you.
“why thank you love,” you replied with an innocent smile as you looked over at jungwon, still glaring at you, his arms crossed against his chest.
ignoring him, you took a sip of the drink you were given, your face scrunching up at the bitter taste.
“hey intak, why don’t we go dance?” you asked, reaching for his hand.
“that sounds like fun,” he replied with a smile of his own before you led him to the dance floor, leaving an enraged jungwon, and a slightly annoyed yuna behind you.
—-----
yuna had seen the way jungwon looked at you. she might have been a bit oblivious at first, but as time went on and she spent more time with the two of you, it became more and more apparent– jungwon had never gotten over you.
at first yuna thought she could sway him, to get him to fall for her the way he fell for you. but it never worked. he looked at you like you were his own personal angel. no matter where you were, who you were with, how you looked, he was absolutely enraptured by you, and oh, how yuna wished he looked at her like that.
it had been fifty minutes since your small tussle, and yuna and jungwon sat outside, occupying two pool chairs as he angrily took sips of his water.
“it’s like she doesn’t even care, she just ran off with him knowing he’ll never want anything serious, knowing he’s gonna lead her on, and i swear when she comes crying to me, i’m gonna tell her ‘i told you’ right to her stupid dumb face,” he rambled, placing his bottle of water harder on the table than he intended to, spilling droplets in the process.
“well, she’s young and single, and she just wants to have fun baby, there’s nothing wrong with that,” yuna replied. “and she has a point, you’re not her brother or anything, so why do you care so much?”
jungwon looked up at yuna, not being able to ignore the bitter tone in her voice, “wait, you’re supposed to be on my side.”
“i’m not on anyone’s side, i’m just asking as your girlfriend why you care so much. because honestly, if i didn’t know any better, i would think that you were still in love with her,” yuna sighed, exasperated.
“i am not in love with her, i like you!” he exclaimed, way faster than he should have.
yuna wanted to believe him. she wanted to ignore every bit of doubt in her body and believe every lie he fed to her, but she couldn’t. not when she knew you loved him too. it was heartbreaking, really. to watch the person you love pine over someone else. but it was even worse knowing the feelings were reciprocated.
“don’t lie to me, jungwon,” she deadpanned, feeling her eyes start to water with tears of frustration. “i see the way you look at her, and i know for sure you haven’t gotten over her. you have never once looked at me the way you look at her, and if you like her, just say that. just say that and we can end things here, without having to make this any more heartbreaking than it already is.”
yuna didn’t want to cry. the last thing she wanted to do was cry, but the feelings of anger and embarrassment had overwhelmed her, causing a few traitorous tears to spill. she was angry at herself for letting it get this far, for falling in love with a boy that she knew would never love her back.
but she was also embarrassed. embarrassed that she had even tried to make an effort, that she had thought she could win him over.
she wiped her face with the back of her hand, only for more to spill out, a sob fighting for an escape from her quivering lips.
jungwon raised his hand to wipe the tears away for her, to cup her face and tell her everything would be okay and that he was sorry. but what was he sorry for? sorry for trying to keep you away from intak? or sorry that maybe yuna was right and he did still love you?
just as he opened his mouth to speak, you stumbled out, words slurring and barely able to walk as you stumbled your way over to them.
“hey guys!” you exclaimed, as a worried intak came rushing out the house behind you.
“oh god, y/n, are you okay?” jungwon asked, immediately walking over to your side to support your stumbling figure. yuna would have felt bitter over jungwon rushing to your side faster than he had ever run to hers. yet, despite the devil on her shoulder that told her to be petty, she instead felt worried for you. you could barely even stand up straight.
“what the fuck did you do to her?” jungwon asked, throwing an accusatory look at intak.
“nothing dude, i promise! she was the one who wanted to drink, she had like 5 drinks within the span of like, 10 minutes,” intak replied, panicked. “is she going to be okay? does she have a way to get home safely?”
jungwon looked from yuna to you, who was falling asleep just standing there.
“just take her home,” yuna sighed. “i’m not gonna make you choose because we all know who you’d choose every single time.”
“yuna it’s not like that,” jungwon groaned. “listen, i’ll bring her home, and then i’ll come over tomorrow and we can talk this out, okay? i promise.”
“okay, just get her home safe first,” yuna replied.
you might have been the biggest obstacle in her relationship, but you were still a nice girl, and you had technically done nothing wrong, so yuna had no reason to want to keep you and jungwon apart. you were also wasted as fuck and there was no way you would be able to get home by yourself without something horrible potentially happen to you.
jungwon grabbed his almost full water bottle from the table he was sitting at, muttering that he would “need it to sober you up”.
he gave yuna one last reassuring smile before he walked away, you on his back as he tried his best to carry you home.
yuna sighed as she watched you go. she felt like something bad would happen today, something worse than her argument with jungwon, and she wanted nothing else but to go home and cry.
all she could do was trust jungwon, even if she knew she already lost him, even if she knew she was never a contestant in the first place.
—------
jungwon almost did it.
he almost carried you all the way home, but his legs felt like they were gonna give out once he reached the park near your house, and he decided then and there that he needed a break.
he sat you on the playground set, sitting beside you with a huff.
you were awake by this point, taking long sips of the water bottle jungwon had given you. you wanted to sober up by the time you got home, but it wasn’t really working, with your words still slurring slightly and your mind all dizzy.
the two of you sat in silence as you gazed at the stars and jungwon thought of his argument with yuna.
maybe she was right.
even now, as he glanced over at you, studying the stars, his heart skipped a beat and he felt his face warm up.
“do you remember when you asked me to be your girlfriend in this park?” you chuckled. “we were so young then, it feels like forever ago.”
jungwon was thrown off by the sudden conversation starter, but still smiled, “yeah, i remember it very well. i felt like i was gonna throw up because i was so nervous.”
you turned your head to look at him and giggled as his smile grew wider.
“what, what are you laughing at?”
“nothing, i was just so in love with you then. i used to think that we would be together forever and ride off into the sunset in a carriage.”
jungwon inspected you as you talked, trying to decipher if there was any meaning behind your words or if it was just the liquor talking.
“i just thought we were some high school fling?” he half-joked as he nudged you with his shoulder. he didn’t want it to seem like he was serious if you were sobering up.
he felt his heart start to race as he stared at your slightly flushed face from the drinks you had, your hair fluttering as a soft breeze blew by. you were everything that jungwon had ever wanted, and here you were, telling him how much you used to love him.
wait, no, what the hell am i doing? jungwon thought to himself. it wasn’t fair to yuna. it was already unfair to her that he only started to date her to get over you. he thought that if he dated her long enough, he would stop loving you and love her instead.
and he genuinely thought it worked. fuck, he thought. i’m such a shitty person.
until he saw you with intak, flirting, dancing with him, laughing at his jokes, he had never felt so jealous in his life, and yuna had noticed. and she was upset, which was fair. what wasn’t fair was jungwon using her to get over you.
use. he hated the icky feeling that word gave him.
“i lied,” you muttered, snapping him out of his thoughts.
“what did you say?” jungwon asked, making sure that he had heard you right.
“i lied,” you repeated, eyes on everything but him. “i loved you, and i think i still do.”
your eyes finally met his as you continued, “you are everything to me, jungwon. i’ve been in love with you since forever, and i only agreed to break up because you said you wanted to.”
jungwon could feel his heart starting to beat faster as he searched your eyes for any hesitation, any sign that this was a lie, or some sort of joke. his heart beat so fast he felt like he was gonna explode as he looked into your eyes, so earnest and so genuine and so filled with love that he knew you had sobered up.
you reached for his hands in his lap, interlacing your fingers with his.
“i can’t keep this from you,” you breathed. “i love you, yang jungwon, and i know you’re dating yuna, but i just have to tell you that i love you, that i always have and it’s okay if you don’t feel the same. i don’t expect you to leave her for me or anything, but i can’t help it anymore. i love you, i love you, i love you.”
silence hung over the two of you as he tried to form a coherent sentence after your confession. it felt like suddenly his brain didn’t know how to make him talk, to make him say i love you too, or to make him do anything, really.
a minute passed, and then two as jungwon searched your eyes with the same desperation yours had– desperate to love and to be loved by the person sitting in front of you.
jungwon didn’t know who leaned closer first. he thought it was you but maybe it was him. he didn’t even feel like he was in control of his body as he leaned closer and closer, his hand moving to hold your face, searching your face for any hesitation, for any kind of doubt.
you were so close that he could smell the perfume you sprayed before you left your house and the drinks that you had earlier that night.
impatient, jungwon finally closed the gap between the two of you, your soft lips colliding with his. he could have kissed you forever, wanting to stay forever in time there. until realization hit him.
yuna.
he pulled away abruptly, your eyes still closed as you chased his lips with yours. he would have found it cute if he weren’t trying his best not to panic right now. he just kissed you. while he was still dating yuna.
he thought of the look on yuna’s face if she found out– the angry, hurt expression that she had at the party, and even worse, the tears. he would break the poor girl’s heart.
“i should go,” jungwon breathed, quickly standing up from his seat beside you. “it’s almost past my curfew.”
“wait, jungwon,” you said, grabbing onto the sleeve of his shirt before he could walk away. “i think we should talk about this before you go.”
“yeah, we can talk later,” he replied dismissively. “i just need some time to think.”
you opened your mouth to say something else– anything else to make him stay, but closed it as you saw he was already speed-walking in the direction of his house.
you thought that you would lose him forever after your breakup. you had almost lost jungwon once, and you were nearly positive that you won’t be so lucky to keep him this time.
you felt sick to your stomach, and you didn’t know if it was from the drinks or from the events that had just occurred, but nonetheless you felt nauseous.
you hunched over as you started to gag, your vomit flowing out of your mouth, tears streaming down your face.
you wiped your mouth with your sleeve, rinsing your mouth out with water as you started to tear up.
before you knew it, you felt sobs rising, your nose stuffed from crying, your throat getting dry from the sobbing. the embarrassment and sorrow was finally catching up to you– all of the years of repressed love you felt for jungwon, all of the embarrassment from him leaving after you confessed, embarrassment from being a homewrecker– it all came crashing down on you.
you couldn’t go home like this. you were sober enough to know that, with your tear streaked face, ruined makeup, and vomit smelling breath your parents would put two and two together.
your hands shakily reached for your phone in your back pocket, dialing your brother’s number and waiting for him to pick up with baited breath. your brother was your only hope.
“hello?”
“chan?” you breathed into the phone. “i need to sleepover at your place.”
—----
yuna hated this.
the waiting, the feeling of dread as she sat on her bed, awaiting jungwon’s arrival.
the fight that had ensued was horrible, but she believed she made a valid point. if he likes y/n so much he should just go be with her, she thought bitterly.
jungwon had texted her last night at around 1 in the morning, just to make sure she got home safe. yuna didn’t respond. she instead left him on read, still pissed off from the fight.
she used to get butterflies when he would send her texts to make sure she got home safe. but now she didn’t know if he did it because he liked her or if it was just out of common courtesy.
yuna was about to just walk to his house herself before she heard a knock on her door.
“hey it’s uh, me,” she heard jungwon’s muffled voice through the door. “is it okay if i come in?”
“yeah, let’s get this over with.”
she couldn’t meet his eyes as he walked in, striding over to the corner of her bed. yuna hated waiting, but she now felt dread as the pair sat in silence for a bit, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. she had sat nowhere near him.
usually she’d be cuddled into his side, but she instead opted to sit at the head of her bed, seemingly as far away from him as possible. she was worried that if she was too close to him, she’d crack; she’d look at his doe eyes and forgive him and that would ruin the entire point of her argument.
“so,” she cleared her throat, interrupting the silence. “did y/n get home safe?”
“yeah, she’s at her brother’s apartment. he texted me when she got there.”
“‘when she got there?’ did you not walk her there?”
“no, he picked her up from the park near our houses. but anyways, i have something important to tell you.”
yuna felt even more dread seeping into her as he finished his sentence. she should’ve seen this coming from the start. here it comes: the breakup.
“i kissed y/n last night.”
yuna’s eyes widened in surprise. she had expected the breakup, yes. she knew jungwon was emotionally cheating, but now he was physically cheating?
“wait, are you being serious right now?” she laughed in astonishment. she couldn’t believe the audacity of the man sitting in front of her.
“i know it’s bad. i feel horrible, because an amazing woman like you should never be treated as horrible as i’ve treated you, and i am so so sorry,” jungwon started, tearing up from how bad he felt. “all of the apologies in the world could never make up for how i’ve treated you. i’ve made you feel terrible and i’m just making it worse by breaking up with you to be with her.”
“i love y/n, yuna. and i’m sorry that i didn’t tell you, or that you had to find out for yourself before i even knew. you are so so perfect yuna-,”
“but i’m just not perfect for you?” she replied, tears starting to form as she breathed those words.
the silence that followed was more than enough to answer her question.
she hated this. she hated this so so much. but she didn’t hate you, or jungwon. she just hated how love worked, how she had to fall in love with the one boy who couldn’t love her back. she hated that she gave her heart away to a boy that was never going to belong to her– not fully.
she wanted to scream, to throw something, hell, maybe even hit him. she instead took a deep breath, composing herself before she said, “okay. go be with her then.”
jungwon looked over at her, wanting nothing but to comfort yuna. he may not be in love with her, but he did love her, and he still cared for her.
“i’m sorry, yuna,” jungwon said instead. “you’re an amazing girl, but you should never be anyone’s second choice, and i’m sorry for making you feel like mine.”
yuna couldn’t even look at him, fidgeting with the strings of the hoodie she wore.
“just leave, please,” she muttered.
she didn’t want him to see her cry, he had already broken her once, she didn’t want him to see her fall apart again.
with a guilty expression, jungwon hurried away, also not wanting to see her cry again. he felt gross. he felt disgusted with himself for treating her that way. he didn’t like the person he was with yuna, and he felt sick thinking about how heartbroken she was; how she was so hurt that she couldn’t even look at him.
—------
it has been two weeks since your kiss with jungwon, and you hadn’t heard a word from him since. not a single call or text, hell, he didn’t even acknowledge your existence when you walked by him in the halls.
you had seen yuna around, but seeing as jungwon wasn’t joined at her hip like he used to be, you assumed that things didn’t end quite so well between the two. knowing that you were the cause made you want to never show your face ever again, especially because of the dirty looks yuna’s friends have been giving you.
you were relieved it was the last day of the school year; you’d never have to see yuna again and feel the guilt at seeing the sadness in her eyes.
you walked into the bathroom, wanting to wash your hands after eating your lunch, when you saw yuna, touching up on her makeup in the mirror. she looked at you through the mirror above the sink, before going back to her makeup.
the tension was so thick you didn’t know if you should just leave or hide in a bathroom stall until she left.
“i’m not gonna bite, you know,” yuna chuckled.
you smiled back nervously as you started to make your way to the sink.
“yuna i’m really sorry,” you sighed, mustering whatever courage and dignity you had left.
“it’s okay,” yuna replied, finally meeting your gaze. “although it was wrong for you guys to have kissed, i saw the breakup coming from miles away. he was never mine to begin with.”
you were taken aback just by how calm she was, with the way she spoke those words with such elegance and grace. she had every right to be angry with you, to yell at you and call you a homewrecker.
“even if you did think you were going to break up, that still doesn’t excuse what i did, and i really am sorry,” you said, trying to project every feeling of sympathy and sincerity you could in that one sentence. “i’m not asking you to forgive me, or jungwon, but i just wanted to tell you that you really are a cool person, and you’ve always been so kind to me, even now. all of this for a boy, and he hasn’t even talked to me in the past two weeks.”
“wait, he hasn’t reached out to you at all?” yuna asked, confused. “i thought he would say something to you at least.”
“did he say he would?” you replied, confusion reaching you as well.
“no,” yuna replied, fixing her hair in the mirror. “i just assumed so because he’s in love with you.”
once again, you were stunned by her nonchalance. “he’s not in love with me.”
“don’t be silly,” yuna smiled softly. “i can’t tell if dating jungwon was the best or worst six months of my life, to be honest.”
“don’t get me wrong, he was a good boyfriend,” yuna backtracked quickly after seeing the guilt on your face. “he did the usual boyfriend stuff, and he really did try, but i could just always tell that his heart was always yours.”
you couldn’t meet yuna’s gaze as she said this, your face hot with shame. you felt so bad for her, and you didn’t quite know what to say in response.
“i’m sorry that things ended this way,” you finally said.
“it’s okay, it was gonna happen sooner or later,” yuna replied. “but if i’m right, then you should probably go talk to him, he’s probably going insane with guilt right now over me, and over you. bro’s got a lot on his plate.”
you gave a small chuckle at the last sentence, making yuna smile a bit.
“well thank you for the talk yuna, but i’ve gotta go. i think i need to go find jungwon.”
yuna felt her heart break a bit at the words, but she smiled anyways and said bye as she watched you leave the bathroom. yuna didn’t know if she was supposed to cry or feel happy for you and jungwon, but she did know that she was right. again. she knew his heart had always belonged to you. anyone could see that.
—--------
trying to find jungwon was easier than you expected. he was sitting on a swing, at the park that you became his, then wasn’t his anymore, and then confessed your love to him. there was so much that had happened at this park that it made your head hurt a bit just thinking about it.
“is it okay if i sit here?” you asked, motioning to the swing beside him.
“of course you can,” jungwon replied.
the two of you sat in silence.
“i don’t think we should be friends anymore,” you finally spoke up.
he jerked his head to look at you, shock coursing through him. “wait, why not?”
you took a deep breath before saying, “i can’t be friends with you anymore because i’m in love with you. there hasn’t been a moment since i’ve met you that i haven’t been.”
his heart skipped a beat at your words.
this was it, this is what you’d been waiting for since the day you laid eyes on jungwon. but you didn’t think it would go quite like this. you sat there for a moment as jungwon studied you, and you wished he would say something, anything.
“but did you ever consider how i felt?” he finally asked, his voice cracking ever so slightly. “have you ever considered that maybe i’ve felt the same way?”
you felt your breath catch in your throat as he continued, “i’ve seen you everyday since we were five when your family moved in next door. but i didn’t really see you until freshman year, sitting in class by the window, your hair flowing from the breeze that came through, doodling in your notebook instead of paying attention to the lesson. and when you caught me staring, you smiled and waved, and i swear i fell in love with you that day. that day, i knew my heart would always be yours.”
“so please,” jungwon pleaded. “please, do whatever you want with it. you could break it a million times over and it would still be yours.”
now this, this was exactly you had always dreamed of.
you couldn’t stop yourself from kissing him, trying to convey all the repressed love you’ve had for him for years through the kiss. you loved him. you loved every single part of jungwon, every flaw, every imperfection, everything that made him him.
“so does this mean we’re official?” jungwon grinned as he pulled away, a playful look in his eyes. you smiled back, feeling the heart eyes in your gaze and the way your heart melted just by looking at him.
“took you long enough.”

What's the story of the hello kitty plushy and the heart pillow?
Lol anon.
It’s actually quite funny.
The first time we saw the Hello Kitty and heart plushies was in Jungkook’s latest GCF in Budapest, posted about a year ago.
youtube
When people first noticed the plushies, many assumed they belonged to Jungkook’s “girlfriend,” because, you know, there’s no way Jungkook, who has a pink shower bag, a fuzzy wallet, and Bratz doll lip balm, could own a rainbow Hello Kitty plushie.

Fast forward to July of this year when Taehyung’s Type 1 photos were released, and there was a photo of him with an identical Hello Kitty plushie to the one seen in Jungkook’s GCF.

Upon seeing this, Taekookers immediately concluded that the plushies were definitely the same and that Tae must have gifted it to Jungkook. Later, when they found out Jungkook was also in Hawaii when Tae took those photos, it became “proof” to them that there was a connection, which, to be fair, isn’t far-fetched.
So now, they believe the Hello Kitty plushie is definitive proof that Taekook is real, with Tae gifting it to Jungkook as a symbol of his undying love. They also think that Tae including the plushie in his photobook and Jungkook openly displaying it in his living room is a hint about their relationship.
As for the heart plushie, at first, most were certain it was Tata (Taehyung’s BT21 character), but later, this was debunked. It turns out the heart is a Balenciaga Chinese Valentine’s Day Heart pillow, which customers receive only after spending a certain amount at stores. Now, Taekookers believe that this, too, was gifted to Jungkook by Tae, alongside the Hello Kitty plushie…despite not recalling Tae ever wearing Balenciaga, though we know who does wear a lot of it.

Anyway, the thing here is, I don’t think Taekookers are entirely wrong to think the Hello Kitty rainbow plushie we saw with Tae and Jungkook might be the same. It’s possible, especially since Jungkook was in Hawaii too.
Where I think they’re missing the mark, however, is the assumption that Tae gifted it to Jungkook as proof of romance. We’re talking about the same Jungkook who has admitted several times that he sometimes takes things he likes from sets. He’s taken clothes, jewelry, pillows, and even cooking ingredients. He’s said that when he sees something he likes after a shoot, he simply asks if he can take it, and usually, they let him.
There’s absolutely no proof that Jungkook’s rainbow Hello Kitty plushie is in any way connected to Tae. If it is, I’m almost certain that Jungkook liked it, asked Tae if he could have it, and Tae said yes. Anyone with a functioning brain knows this doesn’t point to any romance. But Taekookers, desperate to fit everything into a romantic narrative, will twist any detail.
These are bandmates and friends who have known each other and lived together for years. They are also K-pop idols who often get gifted items from brands or receive sponsorships, so it’s not unusual to see them having similar things. How many times have we seen members with similar clothing, accessories, and other items? Too many to count. That’s one reason I personally don’t see things like members having similar clothing as a sign of anything because it’s expected. There’s nothing odd about two bandmates having similar plushies, so the fact that this is being blown out of proportion is just strange to me.
They also believe that Jungkook choosing to take the plushie to his new house is significant. Well, I think it says one thing: Jungkook likes the plushie. The man literally had his Spotify t-shirt (which Spotify gifted him) displayed on his couch in his new house. Does that mean he’s dating Spotify now? I’m fairly certain the heart pillow was a gift from Balenciaga, but he’s also displaying it. Does that mean he’s dating Balenciaga? The whole thing is so ridiculous when you really think about it. For Taekookers, it’s never about what Taekook actually say or do, it’s about how much they can twist things to fit their narrative.
Imagine thousands of fans trending Taekook based on a scenario they’ve invented, fully believing it without any real proof. The only thing they know for a fact is that Tae and Jungkook seem to have similar rainbow Hello Kitty plushies. They’re not even sure if it’s the same one, they don’t know why Jungkook has it, or who gave it to him, but just because it’s similar to what they saw with Tae, they’ve concluded that it was a gift from Tae and this definitely is proof of something.
It’s one thing to speculate when things align, but it’s a whole different thing to make stuff up based on limited information and believe it wholeheartedly, up to the point of trending “Taekook” and using that made-up stuff as proof of a relationship.
This is exactly how Taekookers operate. Taehyung strolling hand in hand with Jennie last year wasn’t proof of a romantic relationship, but two bandmates seemingly having the same plushie is? It’s almost as ridiculous as them claiming that Jungkook’s Channel Coco Crush ring was the same one Tae shares with his friend group, like why wouldn’t Tae just get a ring exclusive to him and his partner? Why on earth would he choose to give him a ring that symbolizes his friendship with other people? No logic whatsoever. As long as they can link it to Taekook, they will regardless of if it makes sense or not. Yet, when they see Jikookers chatting about Jikook showering and singing together, which in and of itself is wholesome enough, they gather all the brain cells they had forgotten they had, for a rebuttal.

I suddenly realized that as a pegasister, I have never formally drawn ponyplates (hoofplates??) in my way, so suddenly (literally 3am in my time zone) I wanna give it a shot.
I thought about Gaster's cutting, and in theory, since he's not a skeleton anymore, shearing his fur is obviously the best choice. But I feel that it doesn't capture the vibe of him “ripping apart his own body", so in the end, I chose to let him cut his horn. Hmm, maybe the body part full of magic is a must to create baby ponies.
Theoretically speaking, it's more reasonable for both of the brothers to be unicorns, but when I pictured Papyrus, I see him more as a pegasus. Well perhaps there're some pegasus in pony Gaster's family tree. But there's kind of a problem that Pegasus can already fly, how can I show the "special" of Papyrus? So, like, why not make Papyrus only have one wing! Perhaps another one was chopped off by Gaster to prevent him from escaping or something. Sans, I really can't imagine any way to disguise his blind eyes as well as showing his unique eye sockets, I mean, since he's not a skeleton anymore (again). In the end, I chose the latter between fidelity to the character and making sense, although this made them a bit less recognizable (sadly)
I hesitated for a long time about the cutie mark. Gaster’s was more straightforward, I needed to came up with something that is related to science but can also reflect the fate of "doing experiments", so I settled on this thing (funny enough, I still don’t know what it’s called, even though it’s probably common knowledge...?). In fact, I also want to express an abstract concept of "recording", including recording the timeline, "recording" the changes in Dreemurrs' and the underground world, and "recording" Radic's actions? Unfortunately, I really can't find a way to reflect the fate of falling into the core on it! The cutie marks of the brothers is much more difficult because they do not have a very specific hobby/lifestyle (like science for Gaster) to represent themselves, which is complicate - if I have to pick, I think their representative items are scarves and socks (...!) - although Papyrus loves puzzles, using puzzles as cutie mark cannot reflect his most important principles and personality, and Sans is even more difficult to handle. In short, their representatives are very abstract, and I find it so hard to summarize their very selves with a single mark on their flank! At last I tried to consider after combining the characteristic of "brothers", positive and negative. I always feel that Gaster's red scarf represents his kind heart, inherited by Papyrus along with the scarf itself, so it naturally occupies a place in his mark (unlike socks to Sans, lol). Sans' mark is more abstract, those things can actually be seen as dissipating dust or as a part of lost head, representing, uh, some obvious things...I guess? I actually even considered using the shapes of the souls Gaster gave them, representing Gaster himself who plays a huge part in their lives, but well it's a little bit tragic if you think about that, their lives should be less of him (in the sense of experiments), so I didn't do that in the end.
I also considered about the clothes. Well...Different from monsters, ponies normally don't wear clothes, in this situation it'll be weird if Gaster specially made lab clothes for the brothers to wear, so I l just let them go naked. Once again, the recognizability has unfortunately decreased...! (also about Sans' clothes, I don't think ponies actually "need" pockets...right?)
Yeah and about the plates, I literally cannot figure out where the plates should go, Gaster was trying to make sure the brothers suffer as he wanted to cut ties with them (at least that's what I thought), so they can't be anything like horseshoes. Tags on the ears are great, but still a little bit off, and I can't think of any "plates" fits both settings of pony and handplates... So I ended up going with brand marks (actually I set this for Dreemurrs in alterplates as well). As for the placement? I think they shall be the lower half and it'll be too screwed up if they were on the cutie marks, so hind legs it is. I don't think ponies wear pants, so I made the brothers wear leggings.
btw I think the brothers got the cutie marks right after Sans yeeted Gaster into the core (welp)

Cherished
Alpha!Halsin x Omega!afab!Reader
A/N: Had this horny thought in my brain. Wrote it. Here you go. Lol. First time writing for this universe (A/B/O) so i apologize if anything is off - I didn’t lean into it as heavily as I probably could have but I still think you all will enjoy! <3
Word Count: 7.5k
Warnings: NSFW 18+ ONLY. Smut, PiV Sex, vaginal fingering, making out, semi-rough sex, marking, creampie, unprotected sex, cock warming, implied past abuse (not detailed), reader has trauma, but Halsin is there to help. Love confessions, after care, fluff, emotional hurt/comfort.

The medicinal smell sets a knot of panic bundling in your chest as soon as you open your pack.
With little grace, the contents are spilled onto the floor of your tent as you upend your bag hastily, shaking the fabric until every last item is before you, and the delicate tinkle of glass fills your ears.
No, no, no!
Your mind screams in panic and utter despair as you spot the broken vials peeking out from the green cloth they’re wrapped in, the fabric tinged a darker shade as the solution soaks it.
You quickly unwrap the precious items, fear ballooning in your throat as tears well up behind your eyes.
It’s gone. All of it. You’re entire supply of suppressing elixirs, soaking into the fabric that was supposed to protect them, rendering the solutions useless.
Fuck.
You should have been more careful. But then again, how were you supposed to know a simple tumble on the road would be enough to damage the goods in your pack? They’ve been through far worse with them on your person and it’s been fine.
Until now.
A sob breaks out of your chest as you stare at the shattered glass, and you search desperately through the carnage for just one unscathed vial, uncaring of the nicks the sharp shards leave on your finger tips.
You can make one vial stretch until you reach baldur's gate. It would be hard, it might not work but it would be something.
You won’t make it to the city on nothing. Not undetected. And you refused to let anyone find out the truth.
With palms pressed against your eyes in an effort to push away the tears you try to take deep steadying breaths. Between those and the blood roaring in your ears, you don’t hear someone approaching your tent until a fanilair shock of black hair pops through the entrance flap.
“There you are, we need help setting up-“
Shadowheart’s words die on her tongue just as her eyes fall onto you then the mess on the floor, her nose twitching almost imperceptibly.
It seems like slow motion as her eyes widen slightly, and she steps fully into the tent, closing the flap behind her before coming to crouch before you.
You hurriedly try to wrap the broken evidence and shove it in your bag despite knowing the action is futile.
Shadowheart reaches out, grabbing your arm gently. “What are you doing with suppressant elixirs?” She asks, voice lacking the accusing quality you expect.
Avoiding her eyes you shrink into yourself, readying yourself for the inevitable. “Why do you think?” You whisper, clutching the balled up cloth to your chest.
Shadowheart is silent as she thinks, and panic surges forward full force as you reach out to take her hand in yours in a vice grip.
“Please, you can’t tell anyone,” you beg, shocking the former sharr worshiper.
She shakes her head, giving your hand a reassuring squeeze. “Was that all you had left? Do you have any more?”
You swallow thickly and shake your head no. “That was it. I don’t…I won’t make it to the city without it. And I… no one can know. I’ll…I can leave and travel ahead or try and find a secluded place to wait it out before meeting you all outside the city.”
The words fall from your lips before you really think about them but…it could work. You know the side effects of stopping suppressants, and despite wanting to keep this part of yourself hidden, you couldn’t risk being around this many alphas when the medicine left your system. No way.
Sequestering yourself is the best way.
Shadowheart looks at you, shock evident on her features.
“Are you mad? Do you know what happens when you quit usuing supressants? The effects are brutal when weaned off of them the correct way. Stopping like that-“ she snaps her fingers. “No. It’s going to be excruciating.”
You can’t help but bristle at her tone, that all to familiar alpha authority slipping through. The exact thing you knew would happen if they found out what you are.
An omega.
You pull away from the woman, frowning as you start to shove items into your pack once more.
“I don’t need you telling me what to do. I’m the one who has dealt with this my whole life, not you.”
The woman reels back at the venom on your words, eyes softening. “I wasn’t trying to tell you what to do, I just…I’ve seen it before. You won’t last, you need-“ she bites her tongue, as if afraid her next words will scare you, but continues after a beat of silence. “You’ll need someone to help you through this. You have to know that.”
“No, no!” You stand up abruptly, hands clenching at your sides. “I’ll be fine. I don’t need some - some alpha, to come and use me before casting me aside,” you spit, turning back to your pack again, desperate to busy yourself so you don’t lose yourself to panic.
Shadowheart doesn’t let up, concern evident in her voice. “What about Halsin, you two seem cozy enough and I know he’d probably be more than eager to help-“
You straighten up at this, turning to face her once more pack clutch tightly in your hands. “No! Shadowheart, please!”
Halsin…
She’s right. You two have been closer that usual, this journey to the city doing nothing but bringing you closer than you already were. You’ve both flirted and touched and danced around your feelings for weeks now but this…
No. The thought of him finding out, and it changing the way he looks at you. Changing his feelings or making him see you as this… thing - to be used and then tossed aside…
No, you can’t bear the thought.
With fists clenched tight, you stand your ground, trying to assert the title of defacto leader you’ve taken on.
“Just stay here. I’ll be…I’ll be fine, I promise,” you pause, thinking. “There’s an abandoned house we passed earlier today in our travels. It was back before the waterfall. I’ll be there. If you get to the city and more time has passed than normal then…you know where to find me.”
The woman’s lips settle into a thin line, arms crossing across her chest. “You’re denser than I thought if you think we’re traveling on without you. Tadpoles be damned,” she reaches out and takes your hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. “I’ll make up some excuse for us to make camp here for a while. If I don’t hear from you, I’ll come find you myself.”
Relief floods through your veins, and before you can think better of it, you step forward and wrap her in a tight hug.
“Thank you. Truly I…I don’t deserve your kindness, not after keeping this from you.”
Shadowheart shakes her head as you pull away, her hands resting lightly on your arms. “I understand a thing or two about not being forthcoming about certain aspects of your past, but…” she trails off, eyes flirting away before coming back to yours. “I do not think those around us will treat you the way you expect. I wish you would give them a chance. Give him a chance.”
You sigh. “A chance to what? Take advantage?”
The woman smiles sadly.
“A chance to show you that they aren’t as terrible as you assume they will be.”
———
Shadowheart has helped you pack the rest of supplies you’d need. Food enough to last a week, some fresh water, although the old house looked to be by a stream so if you run out you can get more.
She was still reluctant to let you leave, but after one last assurance she eventually did.
Which leads you to where you are now, exhausted and weary as you try to set up a makeship living situation in the abandoned house. It was early evening when you left camp, having seen the structure earlier in the day of traveling.
It took you hours to back track and the sun has long set, your only light being from the few candles you have lit and the moon streaming in through the crumbling roof in the corner of the dilapidated home.
But you are making quick work of the space, having moved any broken furniture to the back corner of the room and pulling any spare blankets beneath your bedroll in an effort to make a more comfortable bed.
You can do this. Hopefully the effects will be minimal and pass in a few days. Shadowheart said she would work on trying to get more suppressants for you, and then you could return like nothing ever happened.
Right?
You scoff slightly, trying to shove away the reality that settles in your mind. This is going to suck. And when you do make it through, the likelihood of having suppressants available is slim.
The truth will come out one way or another. A thought you choose not to wrestle with tonight in favor of crawling into your bedroll.
Consequences can wait. Right now you just want to sleep, to hide from the torment that is to come.
———
Pain .
It’s the first thing that registers in your sleep-addled mind, ripping away the last tendrils of slumber as a crushing ache pulses in your stomach. It radiates outwards, making your very bones groan in protest as you curl in on yourself, the discomfort nearly blinding as you try to orient yourself.
The next thing you notice is the heat, like fire licking at your skin as you shove yourself out of the bedroll, moving to settle on top of it instead. The air, despite it being barely dawn, offers no cool reprieve against your sweat slick skin. Your clothes stick to you, plastered to your body as if you’d just jumped into the nearby river.
Another cramp seizes you, but this time another feeling accompanies it. A feeling that has become a stranger to you since taking the suppressants.
Need.
Bone deep, soul crushing, need floods through you, your core throbbing with it and calling out to the one thing that’s not here.
No. You don’t need him.
You don’t need an alpha to help you, you refuse to need him. You’ve done this your whole life by yourself. You can do it now.
But can you? That little voice in your head asks, that voice behind your baser instincts, the one you’ve kept hidden for so long.
It’s been years since your last heat. The suppressants effectively wiping away anything and everything that made you an omega. And now…it’s as if all of the things you’ve held at bay have come crashing down. Showing you what you are, as if saying ‘ here I am. You can’t run from me.’
You shake your head. Mouth dry, tongue thick as your mouth parts on a broken sob.
Gods, help me.
————
Time passes in flirting bouts of consciousness. Night gives way to dawn before you succumb to unconsciousness - only to wake again worse than before, but this time with sunlight streaming through the broken windows.
The fever never abates, and you manage to reach the meager few feet to wretch your water skin from your pack, downing the contents entirely in one go. But it does nothing to ease the ache or the heat beneath your skin.
So you give in. Naively hoping your own touch will help the need subside, will satiate something within you.
It take more effort than you expect to peel your pants from your legs, every touch to your feverish skin making arousal shoot through you, adding to the slick already coating your thighs. The fabric pulls way wetly from your damp skin until you finally toss them to the side, in favor of sliding desperate fingers beneath the waistband of your underwear.
As finger slide through your wetness, the relief is there. But barely. No matter what you do, no matter how many fingers you use it barely touches the ache in your core. Like a quick summer rain on a forest fire…it offers no relief.
But you keep trying, tears slipping down your cheeks as the first, the second, the third, orgasm rips through you, leaving you exhausted but no where near satiated.
Sleep claims you then, when the sun is starting to set once more.
You have no idea how much time has passed the next time you wake, the hours passing in a haze of lust and pain and tears.
You come and go from consciousness, feeling as if your body is both shutting down and just starting up at the same time.
Has it been hours? Minutes? Days?
Time doesn’t seem to exist in this small house in the woods. Until finally some semblance of lucidity comes to you at the same time as an all too familiar scent floats in on the breeze though the windows.
Halsin - no, you shake your head.
Alpha.
Fear shoots through you at the same time the primal instincts do. The baser part of you craves him - urges you to go to him. But the fear is stronger. The fear of the past - of those who used you.
The fear wins out.
You all but leap from your bedroll, your knees buckling beneath you as you do, your heat having taken most of your strength.
You struggle agaisnt it as you stand, hearing a faint call of your name just as you manage to grasp the edge of a nearby table and push in in front of the door.
He calls your name again, and you bite the inside of your cheek to keep the moan from falling from your lips.
Go to him. He’s yours. He’ll help. Go to him. Go to him. GO-
“No!” You shout, pressing yourself against the table, “Halisn go . Away ! Please…”
The last word comes out on a sob, unable to contain everything roiling within you. Your need, your fear, your utter love for the man outside. It’s too much.
You hear a gentle thud on the door, as if he’s pressed his forehead to the other side, his hand pressing to the wood.
“I only wish to help. I promise, I did not come with any other intention.”
His words are muffled by the door separating you, and you push yourself harder against the table at your back, the edge digging into your spine.
“H-how did you find me?” You ask, fighting for every word agaisnt your foggy mind.
It’s quiet for a moment until he finally speaks. “Shadowheart came to me this morning asking if I had any knowledge of healing herbs or elixirs for…for heat.”
You let out a shaky breath. You want to be angry. Angry at your friend for betraying you. Angry at the situation. Angry at yourself for getting you here.
But you’re just tired. You’re tired and exhausted and in pain and you don’t know what to do.
“ Please,” Halsin begs, a sound you’ve never heard fall from his lips before. “I only wish to ease your pain. To help in any way I can. I will not touch you if you do not wish. I swear it on the life the Oak Father granted me.”
Clutching the edge of the table is the only thing keeping you upright, your nails digging into the wood.
“I don’t..you can’t control it. They never can. I know…I know what will happen.”
The words are quiet, so quiet you don’t know if he can hear you. But he does, and his voice is gentle and kind, and everything you've ever wanted to hear in a situation like this.
“You are wrong,” he says plainly. “I do not pretend to know what you have suffered at the hands of other alphas, but I know they can be cruel. I just…I hope you know me well enough - trust me enough to know I will not be the same.”
Fuck.. fuck!
You don’t give him a verbal answer, instead you just barely manage to move the table away from the door in order to open it. You watch with bated breath as the man on the other side visibly flinches, no doubt being assaulted with the scents and smells of your untamed heat.
You watch, fingers clutching the edge of the door as he stills, shoulders rising with a deep breath as that all too familiar golden sheen rolls over his body. You almost move to slam the door closed again, but stop short when the magic fades away and his eyes flutter open, showing you hazel instead of that druidic gold you’ve seen before.
He gives you a small smile, and the motion eases you somewhat, that fear slowly creeping away. You move aside to let him in, and he enters slowly, taking in the room before his eyes fall to you as you close the door.
He takes a step closer then, but slowly, giving you time to move away or ward him off if you so wish.
You don’t. You can’t.
That need inside you is still there and it’s stronger with him this close. Begging you to pull him closer, to have him touch you, to have him make it all go away. The effort required to refuse these needs is worse than the pain you’ve been feeling since you left camp, and you want nothing more than to give in.
So you stay still as he approaches you, holding one hand up to press gently against your forhead, eyes widening as he feels the heat coming off you in waves.
Gods… his touch is like a soothing balm against your skin, and you can’t stop the whimper that leaves your lips as you all but melt into him, gasping when he pulls away.
“You’re burning with fever,” he says, concern lacing each syllable as he reaches for you again, this time not touching you but letting his magic free as his eyes fall closed.
You wait with bated breath as the magic golden glow hovers in the air in front of you, lighting his palm as small yellow tendrils reach for you.
It’s over in just a few moments, and the room is cast in the dim glow of the dusk once more as Halsin looks over you worriedly.
“When was the last time you ate? Drank?”
You shake your head, trying to remember, but the only memories that fill your mind are muddy and confused.
“I don’t…I don’t know. When I left camp? I drank water not long ago..I think,” another cramp rocks you where you stand, and you would have crumpled to the ground if not for the two strong hands that catch you. “I don’t know, everything is hazy I can’t remember.”
Halsin inhales sharply, brows furrowed as he shakes his head. “That was days ago,” he looks around, gently leading you to your bedroll when he spots it, urging you to lay down. “You must eat. I will fetch more water from the stream close by and then I will see what I can do to ease your pain.”
With those simple instructions he’s gone as fast as he appeared. And the arousal is back as strong as ever. But you try, you try to do what he said. Managing to pull the rations from your pack and nibble at an apple and some dried meat. You almost finish by the time he’s back, a bucket filled with fresh water in his hands.
He approaches you once more, movements still slow and cautious until he’s kneeling at your side, refilling your waterskin before offering it to you.
You sit up moving to drain the contents like last time, but he stops you, tugging at the skin gently.
“Slow. You will make yourself sick if you take it all in one go. Take your time,” he says, tone gentle.
You try to listen, but between everything buzzing around inside you and the desperate thirst you just now notice, it’s a herculean task. But you do it, not only to avoid making your situation worse but because some part of you, that tiny voice in the back of your head…it wants to please him.
You push the skin away, arms curling around yourself as another wave of pleasure rolls through you at the thought. You double over, laying on your side as your knees come to your chest, desperate for the discomfort to stop.
“Halsin, please…” you beg, unashamed to finally admit you need help. “Do something, I can’t take it anymore.”
You can hear his breath hitch and are assaulted by a faintly sweet smell. A calmness washing over you, offering the only brief respite you’ve had in days.
He’s trying to calm you.
You can’t find it in you to care. Relishing in the only relief you’ve had since you’ve left camp. But you know it won’t last, and that thought alone is enough to make tears spill over once more.
Halsin shushes you quietly, voice soothing as he hovers a hand over your shoulder. “Don’t cry, my heart. I will do everything in my power to help you, I swear it.”
You nod, trying in vain to wipe away the tears.
“Please, hurry.”
As soon as the words leave your lips, you see the faint glow of magic once more, feel it reaching out for you as Halsin slowly moves his hand down over your body then up once more.
It takes him longer this time, and the relief you felt just moments earlier is already starting to fade away. You nearly cry out when Halsin withdraws from you, frustration costing his features as muttered curses fall from his lips.
“Those suppressants are a poison,” he finally says, his words venomous. “An affront to nature as it was designed.”
Shame fills you as he speaks, joining your already muddled emotions. “I’m sorry,” you manage to whisper, voice broken.
Hazel eyes snap to yours, lips set in a fine line as he shakes his head. “This is not your fault,” he assures you, voice firm. “Society has spread the lies that you, omegas, are something to be claimed and taken rather than cherished and treasured as the oak father intended. They made you afraid, fearful of who you are. Pushed these things upon you so you could hide-“ a low growl slips past his lips, as he cuts himself off.
He pauses, shoulders falling as he lets out a sigh before looking to you once more.
“These elixirs are beyond my comprehension. The medicine runs deep in your veins I…I know of no natural remedy or spell to counter its effects.”
Dread settles deep in your belly at the realization that you basically have two options at this point. You can either wait out the symptoms and hope the fever doesn’t harm you or…give in to the need. Something that doesn’t scare you as much as it did at first, but something you still don’t know if you can trust.
But you want to. You want him to touch you, to hold you, to do all of the things you’ve imagined him doing. But you want him to want it too. Not because of some biological drive but…because he desires you.
And maybe…maybe he does. Who else’s could come all the way out here? What other alpha would have resisted touching you this long? You can think of no one else. Anyone else would have given in by now, you know it’s as excruciating for him as it is for you.
So why is he here if not out of care for you…out of love ?
Another tremble runs through you as you sit up, eyes searching his own before you speak.
“Can you just…hold me? I just need, something, anything and I -“ you pause as another cramp takes your breath away. “I understand if you don’t want too - or think it would be-“
Gentle hands on your cheeks stop you in your tracks, and once again you practically melt into his palms, his touch the only thing providing any relief.
“It would be my pleasure, my heart.”
You sigh in relief, hands immediately falling to the hem of your shirt, the still damp material uncomfortable against your skin. You watch as Halsin reaches for his own vest before hesitating, eyes flitting to you in a silent question.
Once your shirt is discarded and you’re down to your small clothes you give him a small nod, reaching out to him instead this time, fingers tugging at the lacings of his clothing. You try to focus, try to push past the lust fogging your kind. But it’s harder the closer you are to him, noticing every minute detail of the man in front of you.
The way his breath hitches as you untie the laces and he helps you tug the article off his body. His scent assaults you as he does so. The way his muscles ripple beneath his skin as he reaches for you. The heat rivaling your own wafting off his skin in waves as he pulls you close to him before bringing you both to lay on your makeshift bed.
He completely surrounds you, the smell of pine and the earth and something so subtly sweet it could only ever remind you of him. His arms tighten around you as you press your cheek to his chest, the light dusting of hair tickling your skin in the best way as his chin rests atop your head.
The longer he holds you to him, the more relief seeps into your bones, that tormenting ache dissipating ever so slightly. But it never leaves completely, still tugging at the edges of your mind and making your fingers twitch from where your hands rest against his back.
You can’t take it anymore. The need too great, your desire finally winning out as you pull away just enough so you can look up at the druid. He gives you a pained smile, clearly holding back the same what you are, and that’s enough to finally make you take action.
Before the alpha can process your intentions you have a leg thrown over him, rolling until you sit astride his hips. Your hands brace against his chest as he looks up at you, brows drawn together in confusion.
“What are you-“
You cut him off with hands against his cheeks, thumbs brushing his lips as your eyes travel over his face.
“I want this,” you finally say, voice barely a whisper in the night. “I want you, but I-“ you have to bite back the tears that clog your throat. “ Promise me. Promise me you’ll be here when we’re done. Promise me you won’t leave when you’ve gotten what you want. I can’t…my heart can’t bear it.”
Shock crosses Halsins face, followed quickly by what you recognize as a firm resolve and finally…the softest look you've ever recieved. He reaches up, taking one of your hands in his own to press a gentle kiss to your palm, then to your wrist before finally tugging you down so you’re chest to chest, your nose brushing his.
Before you can blink, strong arms wrap around you, holding you to him as he flips you both over, your back now against the blankets as he hovers over you.
“You are not so easily cast aside, my heart.” He tells you, voice full of reverence. “You plague my thoughts both waking and sleeping. Your taste lingers on my tongue each time we kiss. You’ve captured my entire being, heart and soul,” he presses a chaste kiss to the corner of your lips as tears slip from your eyes. “I will be here when you wake this day, and every day to come. I will cherish you as you deserve, as all those in the past have failed to do. If you will have me.”
Words fail you in light of the poetic ones he whispers to you. So you do the one thing you’ve been denying yourself for days. Leaning up your press your lips to his, nearling crying out at the utter relief that washes through your veins when he returns the action, lips meeting yours in frantic eagerness.
You pull away but his lips never leave your skin, trailing down as you reach up to thread shaking fingers through his bronze locks.
“ Please,” you beg, desperation hanging on the simple word. “Touch me, I can’t take another moment without it. Without you.”
Halsin is quick to oblige, his hands moving over you in a hurried rush. He rids you of your underthings before divesting himself of his own clothing and sinking to press fully against you. You can feel the hard length of him pressing against your hip, and your back arches instinctively into him, desperate to feel more of him.
Halsin groans, unable to stop the way his hips thrust against your own, one hand falling down to take your hip in a bruising grip.
“You do not know what you ask of me,” he warns you, voice low. “I have craved you for a long time, my heart. Once I start…I do not know that I will be able to stop until I know you are mine.”
You shake your head, reaching up to tangle your hands in his hair as your legs move to wrap around his waist. “I don’t want you to stop,” you beg, “make me yours, please.”
The need inside you is burning at an all time high, reaching a crescendo you didn’t even know possible as you lay beneath the powerful alpha above you. You know he could do whatever he wanted to you, with or without your permission. But you know he won’t, which just adds fuel to the fire in your veins.
You want him. You want him to claim you and make you his, a feeling you’ve never had before. You’ve been hiding your whole life, but now, laid bare before him…You're no longer afraid.
As if sensing any residual fear seep from you, Halsins lips crash against yours once more, wasting no more time. You feel his hand trail between you both, fingers touching you where you want him most.
You cry out against his lips as his fingers slip through your arousal, teasing your entrance before coming back up to rub rhythmic patterns against the sensitive bundle of nerves.
“You’re so wet for me,” his voice is husky next to your ear, almost a growl as he senses your complete and utter need. “Are you…Do you think you are ready?”
It’s a genuine question, born both from actual concern but also impatience. You can sense he’s already holding back, willing to do whatever you need in order to not hurt you, but also wanting desperately to sink himself into you fully.
You nod your head, you’ve come so many times since you’ve been here, your legs are sticky with your slick. There’s no way you couldn’t take him.
Your hands scrabble at his back, pulling him closer to you, your thighs squeezing his hips firmly. “ Please , Halsin,” you beg, voice a pathetic whimper.
He needs no more encouragement. You feel the head of him slide through your wetness before he’s sinking into you at a pace that is both soothing the ache within you and also stoking the flames.
A keening sound rips itself form your chest as he settles against you, and you expect him to wait, to be ever the gentleman and hold still for much longer than you can take right now.
But to your shock and utter relief, Halsin does no such thing. He starts a firm and fast pace, his hips retreating before thrusting back into your own, filling you completely each time and driving the breath from your lungs.
Gods he feels so good. It feels right. There is no pain, no discomfort, just the feeling of being so full it somehow completes you, as if Halsin was made just for you.
My alpha.
Halsin growls, head dropping to the crook of your neck, nipping at the delicate skin as his fingers dig deeper into your thighs.
“Yes, I’m yours, little omega, and you are mine.”
His words nearly shock you from your pleasure, not realizing you had said your thoughts out loud. And he…He called you his omega. Usually being referred to by your biological designation would anger you, make your fists clench and that all too familiar black anger build in your chest - but now…
The way he said he is yours. Giving himself to you and simultaneously calling you his own…it made stars burst behind your eyes, your orgasm crashing over you so suddenly it steals your senses from you.
Blood rushes in your ears, your eyes clench shut, and you can feel the faint rawness in your throat as you cry Halsin’s name.
Halsin doesn’t still as you come, only slows his thrusts as he works you through your high, grunts of pleasure brushing against your skin as you clench around him, your nails dig into his skin so hard you’re sure there will be evidence of this encounter for days to come.
Warm lips press beneath your jaw, and you turn your head up willingly, silently begging him for more.
“Are you alright, my heart?”
His voice is soft, but strained, and it’s only then that you realize he’s still hard, thrusting haphazardly against you in an effort to satiate his own needs but not overwhelm you.
Warmth blooms in your chest at his words and actions. No one has ever asked you that in the past. They just took and took until they were stated and then left…
You give him a small nod, pushing back at the tears burning at the back of your eyes. “Yes I-“ your voice croaks weakly. “I’m fine, I - I’m more than fine.”
Yet even as you speak, you can feel that all to familiar burn spread through you once more. Your release had soothed the ache momentarily, but it’s back, slowly seeping back into every limb, your core churning with desire once more.
Another whimper escapes you, as you turn to nuzzles Halsin cheek. “ Gods, it’s still there,” you cry, frustration painting your words.
Halsin hums low in his chest, turning to press a gentle kiss to your temple, uncaring of the sweat beading there.
“It may take a while for your body to get rid of the suppressants,” he says softly. “It may be several days before it is completely out of your system.”
He must see the way your eyes widen, feel the way your breath hitches, because he soothes your worries with a kiss, pressing his weight into you in an effort to comfort you.
“Do not let that worry you,” he says, hands sliding up your thighs until they rest on your waist. “The need will lessen with each passing hour, especially if spent with someone else.”
You hear his unsaid meaning. The need will pass with each release, like an overflowing bucket being emptied a spoonful at a time. Shakily, you nod, accepting his answer before letting out a whine when he pulls away from you.
A momentary stab of panic shoots through you, as he separates himself from your sweat slick skin, leaving you achingly empty as he pulls from you with a hiss.
You reach for him blindly, only just now realizing how dark it is. Halsin arrived as the sun was already dipping below the horizon but now it’s nowhere to be seen, the last rays of light slipping away sometime earlier, leaving the small room lit with nothing but weak candle light.
Halsin is nothing but a large dark mass in the poorly lit room, but you reach for him all the same, practically melting into him when his hands meet your flesh once more.
“I’m not going anywhere,” he assures, lips pressing to your forehead as his hands settle on your hips.
He urges you into a new position slowly, lips never leaving your skin as you settle onto your hands and knees, fingers digging into the blanket below you as he kisses over your shoulder and down your spine.
His hands move in the opposite direction, moving from the crook of your hips, up your sides before brushing over the swells of your breasts, gentle teasing stiff peaks between his fingers as he finally leans over you.
Your head falls forward as his lips brush your ear, your need burning anew and more fiercely than before at this new position.
“Is this alright?” he asks again, and for the first time tonight his careful consideration makes a tiny flicker of frustration burn in your chest.
For the first time since you can remember you’ve never been more than alright. But now - needy and vulnerable and displayed for him…
You groan, pressing back into him as his hands slide back up to your waist.
“Yes, I’m fine just, please!” Desperate need and desire flair up in you so violently it nearly makes your hips buckle, the only thing keeping you upright being Halsin’s firm grip.
“Please, alpha, take me.”
Calling him alpha, you presented before him, the sent of sex and sweat and heat, in the air…It’s all too much for the both of you.
The man behind you lets out a feral growl, and if this were any other man you’d be slightly afraid of what he’d do. But now…Utter excitement and arousal spread through your veins like liquid fire as he enters you in one swift thrust.
He was deep before, touching you in places you’d never felt before, but like this… You nearly choke on the scream of pleasure that tears from your throat. You drop your face into the blankets beneath you, stifling your sounds as Halsin continues his brutal pace.
A hand leaves your hips as calloused fingers slide beneath your jaw, pulling you up from the blankets just enough to turn your head to the side. His grip is firm but not ungentle as he leans down to capture your lips in a bruising kiss.
“Do not hide from me,” he says, teeth tugging at your bottom lip before he pulls away to nose at your cheek. “I wish to hear every sound you make. I want to hear my name fall from your lips, I want the Oak Father himself to know who you cry out for.”
A particularly hard thrust, the harsh grip on your hips, and his unusually filthy words make you come for a second time, obeying his demand to not hide your noises.
Your fingers dig into the soft fabric beneath you, and as Halsin continues his movement within you, you’re afraid you might tear it to shreds.
Gods… you can feel everything. Every vein, every ridge, every inch of him inside you. All of your nerve endings are on fire and you’re so sensitive you don’t know if it’s pleasure or pain pulsing in your core.
And for a moment it seems like Halsin isn’t even close to reaching his end despite him already driving you to your third release.
He presses down into you, one arm wrapping around your hips to keep your semi-limp form pressed to him as his other hand slides up to tangle into the hair at the base of your neck. He doesn’t pull harshly, instead he presses you further into the bedroll and covers beneath you, arching your back in a way that makes him hit impossibly deeper, reaching the end of you.
“Oh, fuck, Halsin!” you cry his name in pure ecstasy, as he fucks down into you, taking you and claiming you just like you wanted.
You feel it when his hips start to stutter, can hear his breathing grow even more ragged than it already was, his grip on your hips tightening as his thrusts turn more shallow.
It’s like you can sense his hesitance, and before he can ask the question you know he wants to ask you find yourself answering.
“In me,” you practically sob, pressing your hips back into him. “Come in me, please…”
He lets out a sound you can’t even identify, something close to a sigh and a cry of relief as he falls over you. His chest pressed flush against your back as he braces himself on one arm beside your head.
His head falls next to your own, lips pressing against you as his teeth tease the skin at the crook of of your neck.
You can feel him hesitate, pulling away until you reach up to tug him back down.
“No I- do it,” you beg. “Please I…I love you - please, do it.”
Part of you is panicked when he hesitates at your words, but it’s fleeting as Halsin’s teeth dig into your flesh. You cry out as he breaks skin and your third release washes over you, bringing Halsin over the edge with you.
His breath is hot against your skin as he moans, hips snapping into yours as he spills into, stilling as he slowly brings both your bodies to the ground.
His entire weight is settled on top of you, and you can't find it in you to care. In fact, you crave it. The feeling of him caging you in, his sweat slick skin against your own as he laps lazily at the new mark on your neck.
Eventually he turns, nuzzling at your cheek until you manage to turn to let him capture your lips in a kiss. It’s a slow, sensual thing. His tongue reaches to slide against your own as his arms move to slide beneath your body. He rolls you both onto your side, keeping you connected as he curls himself slightly around you, holding you against his chest.
He breaks the kiss only to trail his lips down, back to your neck hovering over the mark of his bite before placing one last kiss there.
For the first time in days you don’t feel the creeping burn anywhere. The first true relief you’ve felt truly settling over you as you relax back into the body behind you.
His arm sits snugly around your waist, his fingers tracing gentle patterns into your skin and up under your breasts before repeating.
“Are you…” He trails off for a moment. “Did I hurt you?”
You shake your head, turning to try and catch his eye over your shoulder, chest swelling with adoration when you see the concern flickering in his gaze. Your hand falls down to cover his own, giving it a firm squeeze.
“I’m perfect,” you assure him, pressing a kiss to his lips before settling into him again, fingers tracing absently over his arm around you.
“I…” Now it’s your turn to think about your words. “I’m sorry. If…what I said was - uncalled for.” Your words are stuttered and unsure.
You don’t want to apologize for what you said, because it was the truth. But you also don’t want him to feel obligated to return your affections just because of what transpired.
Sensing your inner turmoil, gentle fingers settle beneath your jaw, turning you to look at him once more. His brows are furrowed as he gazes down at you.
“Does it hold truth?” he asks simply, no accusation or frustration present.
You nod, reaching up to card a hand through his hair. “Yes I - they were true. I do…I think I’ve loved you for some time now but…”
His eyes soften. “You were afraid.”
You nod, eyes falling away from him in shame. But Halsin doesn’t let your feeling last long, he presses a gentle kiss to your cheek before resting his forehead against your own.
“I must admit that I feel the same,” he says, voice a mere whisper. “You have taken my heart in your hands and held it captive in a way I haven’t experienced in my long life. I do not wish to let you go easily.”
You smile, lips brushing his own as you speak. “Then don’t,” you say, reaching down to tug his arm tighter around you, “I’m yours. I meant that too.”
Halsin sighs in what you assume is relief, leaning down to press a kiss to your shoulder as he adjusts to hold you closer to him as you relax in his arms.
“And I am yours,” he tells you. “Now, sleep. This is far from over, but I will be here when you wake.”
Earlier, the thought of it taking days for the suppressant to work from your system made fear grip your heart. But now…
Now there’s just a warm syrupy feeling that settles deep in your belly as you take his advice and let your eyes fall closed.
Because with Halsin…you know you have nothing to fear.

Bucky groaned as the sunlight streaming through the blinds shined right into his eyes. He hadn’t drunk enough to be hungover, but he could tell he drank last night. He rolled over and buried his face in the fluffy pillow.
He took a deep breath, the scent of plum and peaches relaxing him. Wait a second, plum and peaches? His eyebrows furrowed in confusion, he slowly opened his eyes, taking in the sight of the room.
A desk neatly organized, sat in front of a window overlooking the side yard. Pens and pencils color coordinated; computer sat in the middle. It was one of those all-white desks that you get from one of those furniture stores. It matched the bookcase that was littered with books and personal items.
He figured the dresser must be in the closet since one wasn’t visible. A school bag sat by the door. Not just any school bag, your school bag. Last night’s events came flooding back. Your costume, the argument and the things you both said, the amazing sex.
He carefully rolled over again; he sighed in relief when he saw you were still asleep. You laid on your side, cuddling a brown, stuffed dog that looked like it was as old as you. Your Y/C/H hair sat tangled on the pillow, shining in the sunlight and creating a halo around your head.
He found himself smiling as he watched you sleep; the way you hugged the stuffed dog, holding onto it for dear life and how peaceful you looked. The way you frowned, something not going the way you want in your dream.
How your normally soft, pink lips were chapped from the cooler weather. The way they were slightly parted, allowing a little bit of drool to come out the corner of your mouth.
His smile widened and his heart fluttered the longer he watched you. He paused, why the hell was his heart fluttering? He shot up, sitting up fast enough he winced, hoping he hadn’t made too much movement.
He let out a breath when you didn’t stir in the slightest. What would you have said if you had woken up? Would you be angry? Would you regret it? His stomach twisted at the thought of you regretting sleeping with him. But why, it’s not like he cared? Right?
I mean, he hated you, every little thing you did pissed him off. The way your notes had to be perfectly organized, or how you bite your perfect pink lips when you’re thinking. The way your eyes sparkle when you talk about something you love and how you get emotional when-oh god.
He jumped out of the bed, his legs getting tangled in the sheets and nearly falling on his ass. His heart pounded, there was no way. He couldn’t be, could he? He couldn’t possibly be all of a sudden catching feelings for you. Except, it isn’t sudden, he’s felt like this for a while. Shoving down the feelings he had for you and convincing himself it was hate that he felt instead.
Only now those feelings are crawling back up now that you both had come to some sort of understanding and he had a taste of what it was like to be with you. The feeling of your soft skin under his hands, how perfectly your sexy curves felt against his toned body. How much he loved the contrast of your soft, plump stomach against his hard, lean abdomen.
His heart beats faster every second he allows himself to acknowledge his feelings for you. He couldn’t do this. He needed to leave before you wake up and laugh at him, telling him this was all a big mistake and you could never be with someone like him.
He quickly dressed and snuck out; thankful no one was awake yet. He couldn’t face anyone right now, he needed-he didn’t know what he needed. All he knew was he had to get the hell out of here before anyone could wake up and ask what happened.
You were livid. Two weeks, two fucking weeks that fucker had been avoiding you. You held out hope that morning that maybe he had been downstairs or in the bathroom. But he wasn’t. You wanted to cry when Nat told you she had seen him walking down the driveway nearly two hours before.
_____
You had hoped that maybe this could’ve been the start of a new relationship, even if it was just as friends, you would’ve taken whatever you could get. But the next time you had seen him, he acted like you weren’t even there, liked nothing happened.
You were pissed, hurt, and most of all, disappointed. You hated accepted a long time that some part of you liked him. But his constant attitude towards you made it easier to hate him rather than focusing on your feelings for him.
You may not know why he was acting like this, but you knew one thing. You were going to find out why.
“You okay?” Natasha asked, snapping you out of your thoughts. “You’ve hardly touched your food, and I know how much you love those sausage and cheese biscuits.”
You sigh and pick at the crumbs. You, Yelena, and Natasha were at a fast-food joint for a quick breakfast before heading out to buy fall decorations, since none of you had classes today. What a miracle that was.
“Yeah, just...thinking.”
“About Bucky?” Yelena mumbles, her mouth full of food.
“No.” That was an obvious lie.
Nat rolls her eyes. “Oh come on, what’s been going on between you and Barnes?”
“I don’t know what you mean,” you mumble and take a bite of food.
“Cut the bullshit, you two have been avoiding each other more than usual.”
You couldn’t hide things from Natasha, she’d find out one way or another. “Halloween night we got into this big argument, said some things and had sex.”
Both her and Yelena choke on their food. “You had sex?!” Yelena nearly yells.
“Say that a little louder, I don’t think the guy across the street heard you,” you grumble. Yelena stammers, trying to come up with a response.
“Um, wow, okay. But that still doesn’t explain why you are avoiding each other?” Nat says.
“He’s avoiding me. When I woke up the next morning he was gone and ever since then won’t even acknowledge I exist.” Natasha could hear the pain in your voice.
“Tell you what, I always go see Steve before their game. Why don’t you come with me and talk to Bucky. If you corner him, he can’t run.”
You thought for a moment. That actually sounded pretty good. You agreed and you guys finished breakfast and headed out to start the shopping.
By the time you got home it was just after three in the afternoon, the game didn’t start till seven so there was plenty of time to decorate and get ready.
You all three worked in harmony to decorate the living room, soft music playing through the speakers. Yelena had lit a few candles; they were already giving you a headache. You didn’t say anything though, you knew how much they loved the cinnamon and pumpkin scented candles. Yelena said it didn’t feel like fall without them. So, you’d put up with a little headache if it meant Yelena was happy.
By the time you guys finished and got ready, it was forty minutes until the game started. You mentally gave yourself a peptalk the whole way there. You could do this, you were ready.
_____
Realistically, Bucky knew he was making things worse. That avoiding you completely wasn’t helping, but he just wasn’t ready. The last two weeks his mind has been consumed with you.
Every time you thought he wasn’t paying attention, he was. He started noticing the little things, the way your hair framed your face, how your eyes shined in the sunlight. He couldn’t deny his feelings anymore, the only thing he couldn’t figure out was if this was a regular crush, or something more.
This whole situation was getting to him, he was having trouble sleeping, couldn’t focus. Hell, Couch Fury got on his ass this week more times than he can count. Needless to say, it was affecting his focus on tonight's game and that wasn’t good.
Tonight, they were playing their ultimate rivals, Hydra. And the ‘star’ quarterback of their team was John Walker. God, just the thought of that man made Bucky’s blood boil. He was an egoistic jerk who lived off his daddy’s money. The man didn’t even have any real talent.
Bucky couldn’t count how many times he had to refrain from punching the smug bastard, especially when he wouldn’t take no for an answer and keep his grimy hands off the women.
Bucky barged through the locker room door, his pregame playlist blasting through his earbuds. He shoved his bag into his locker and started to get ready for the game.
_____
Your heart was pounding as you walked with Nat to the men’s locker rooms, Yelena grabbing y'all's spot in the front row, curtesy of one Steve Rogers. You had caught sight of John Walker earlier. The thought of him made your skin crawl. You'd heard stories of how he would get aggressive when he didn’t get what he wanted.
“You ready?” Nat asked once you reached the locker room. You took a deep breath and nodded.
Nat pushed the door open, immediately heading for Steve, you spotted Bucky in the back messing with his helmet. His back was to you. Perfect.
You walked up behind him, tapping his shoulder.
“What?” He said gruffly, not even bothering to turn around.
“We need to talk.” He spun around, eyes wide with shock before he masked it with his signature cold look.
“Can’t.” He says coldly. “Game’s about to start.”
You snap. “No!” You shout. “You are not leaving until you talk to me!” He goes to walk past you and you put your hands on his chest, shoving him back with enough force that it surprised him. And you for that matter, you didn’t know you had that in you.
The locker room goes quiet and everyone looks at you.
“You wanna talk so fucking bad? Fine then, talk.” He slammed his helmet down on the bench.
“You say you aren’t a fuckboy, so why the hell are you acting like one?!”
His brows furrow. “What?”
“Why were you gone the next morning? Why are you avoiding me like the plague?” He stammered, trying to come up with a response. You both were so focused on each other that you didn’t notice the other teammates tip-toeing out to give you both privacy.
“I want answers, James.” You try to sound demanding but your words come out shaky. “If it was a mistake just say so, but don’t avoid me like a fucking coward!”
His jaw clenches in annoyance. “I’m not a coward,” he says lowly. Almost a growl.
“Well, you’re sure as hell acting like one.”
He moves past you to sit on the bench, rubbing his face in frustration. “I freaked out, okay? I panicked and ran.”
“See? Coward.”
“Would you-” He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself before he does something stupid. It wasn’t working, he was about two seconds from punching the locker in front of him.
You could see the internal war going on inside him by the look on his face. Your expression softened just a tiny bit. No, you tell yourself. He did this to himself; this is the consequence of his actions, don’t feel bad for him.
“That morning, I just....” He sighed. He didn’t know how to phrase what he wanted to say. If he just ripped the band aid off, it would come out all jumbled.
“It was all kind of like a smack in the face, ya know? One moment I’m watching you sleep and the next my heart is fluttering. The longer I watched you, the worse it got. And then I started thinking, and I realized the reason my heart was fluttering was because I was catching feelings.”
He can’t be serious? “Are you serious? That's the excuse you’re using? You can’t just play with my feelings like that and lie, that’s isn’t funny.” Your voice breaks, tears cloud your vision. You blink them away, not wanting to cry in front of him.
His expression softens. “I’m not, Y/N,” he sighs. “I’m not.” You can hear the small crack in his voice, the desperation written all over his face.
Before you could say anything, Steve pops his head in. “Sorry to interrupt but the game is about to start.” Bucky nods and Steve closes the door.
Bucky grabs his helmet. He turns to you like he wants to say something, but doesn’t. He just sighs and walks out the locker room. You took a deep breath, closing your eyes and leaning against one of the lockers. Your knees felt weak, your heart practically screaming in your ears with how loud it was beating.
You felt like you were further then where you started with him. Like this conversation took you three steps back rather than forward. You get a handle on your emotions before heading out to join Nat and Yelena. You get there just in time to see Bucky and the team come out.
“How did it go?” Yelena asks.
You shake your head and swallow past the lump in your throat. “I don’t want to take about it.” Nat could hear the quiver in your voice. She rubbed your arm and gave you a reassuring smile that said everything was going to be okay. And while that may be true, right now it felt everything but okay.
Once the game got going and you three were cheering, you started to feel better. You could do this, you just had to take it one step at a time.
______
It was like routine at this point, his team would take the lead and John Walker would start to talk shit. Bucky always brushed him off, never paying attention or letting it get to him. Except for tonight.
Bucky was already on edge, everything going on with you messing with his head. Walker had already been talking shit, everything he could to piss Bucky off. It didn’t work though, but then he had an idea. He'd seen the way Bucky had kept looking at you every chance he got.
Walker turned to Lemar. “See that chick over there? Uh Y/N, I think her name is? She'd look like a pretty good lay don’t you think?” He had a shit eating grin on his face.
Bucky froze as soon as he heard your name come out of John’s mouth. If looks could kill, Walker would have disintegrated. Lemar chuckles when he sees what his buddy is trying to do.
“I mean, she’s a bit too...what’s the word? Fat for my taste, but I’m-” Now any other night Bucky would have told Walker to go fuck himself. Tonight was not that night. Bucky threw off his helmet and shoved Walker to the ground.
You, Nat, and Yelena all stand up. You ask Nat what the hell he’s doing. She can’t come up with an answer, you watch, hoping he gets his shit together.
Walker stood up, taking his helmet off. “Dude, what the fu-” Bucky’s fist collided with Walker’s face before he could finish.
All hell broke loose. Both teams arguing, some getting physical too. Bucky ended up on top of Walker, throwing punch for punch. Steve and Sam manage to get Bucky off him, but can barely hold him back. Steve gives you a ‘help’ look.
“You need to go out there and stop him,” Nat says.
“What makes you think he’ll listen to me?”
“I have a feeling he will, now go.” Nat says frantically.
With the help of the people on the side lines, you make it over the fence, running to get to Bucky. Once you get close enough you can hear Bucky calling John every foul name he can think of, all the while Steve and Sam struggle to keep their hold on him.
“Bucky! Enough!” You yell, out of breath. He stops the moment he hears your voice. He looks at you.
“Y/N?” He asks.
“Oh, I see,” Walker chuckles. “Someone has feel-” Bucky manages to get free and punches Walker again, this time effectively shutting him up. Bucky doesn’t spare you another glance, shoving past you to head to the locker rooms.
You tried to stop him, the look on his face stopped you. You cried yourself to sleep that night.
____
Saturday mornings were usually pretty chill. The three of you laid out on the couch in your pjs, watching TV. Steve and Sam decided to come over, bringing breakfast.
“How did it go last night?” Nat asks as she gets everyone drinks.
“Well, Fury cussed him out for a solid 30 minutes, said if he wasn’t as good of a player as he was that he’d cut him from the team. Thankfully Walker isn’t pressing charges.” Steve sighs.
“What happens now?” Yelena asks.
“Nothing really, keep practicing. We'll have a do over next month, play against other teams and give everyone time to cool off.” Sam says, taking a bite of food. Once everyone finishes, Steve tells you to go talk to Bucky.
You get dressed and brush your teeth. “How is he?” You ask, putting your shoes on.
“Pissed.” Sam says.
“Look, I know you’re mad at him and I know he caused this but, please just..take it easy on him. He's been dealing with the repercussions of his actions the past two weeks. It's been messing with his head. So, please just take it easy, okay?” You could see how concerned Steve was, his voice pleading.
You nod. “Okay,” you say softly. “I will.” Steve nods and gives you the keys to their dorm.
It takes you little over half an hour to get to their dorm, it being on the other side of the campus. You open the door as quietly as you can. It's quiet inside, you almost think Bucky isn’t home.
You close the door and tip toe to where Steve said Bucky’s room was. His door was ajar, you could see him lying on his back on the bed starring up at the celling. In gray sweatpants, his bare chest on display. His metal and flesh hand laced together on his abdomen; you could see his bruised knuckles. You also made a mental note to ask him what happened, but first you had to repair this dysfunctional relationship between the two of you.
“Bucky?” You ask softly, pushing his door open.
His eyes snap to you, he lets out a breath, mumbling out a curse. You bite your lip to hold back the smile that wanted to spill, knowing you scared him.
“What do you want?” His tone is neutral but the look in his eyes gives him away. He's hurting.
He sits up and you sit on the edge of the bed. “I want to talk.” You say softly. “And before you say anything, I’m not here to argue or play the blame game. I just want to talk.”
He can see the desperate look in your eyes, he nods. After a moment you speak up again. “What happened? What's going through your mind?” You whisper.
He sighs. “That morning, I finally realized that I had feelings for you. It was sudden, but at the same time it wasn’t.”
“What do you mean?”
“It hit me that I had been burying those feelings for you for a while, convincing myself to hate you. Why? I have no idea, maybe it was easier to have you hate me, maybe I thought since you did hate me that you’d never give me a chance.”
“And these feelings...mean you like me? Like, like like me?”
“No-yes,” he sighs frustratingly. “I like you, yes, but...”
You can feel your pulse in your throat. “But?” Your voice is hardly loud enough to be a whisper.
“It doesn’t feel like some regular crush, it feels like something more,” he admits quietly.
Your breath catches in your throat. “Why didn’t you say anything? Why avoid me?”
“Because I was scared, I’ve never felt like this before.” You both go quiet for a moment.
You take a deep breath, gathering the courage to say what you need to say. “I’ve always known that some part of me liked you. I made peace with that a long time ago. It was just easier to hate you, especially with how much of a jerk you were.” He looks down, his face filled with guilt.
“But I also didn’t want to admit I was wrong.”
He looks up, his blue eyes locking in on yours. “Wrong about what?” He asks, confused.
“About you. You aren’t some egoistic fuckboy, even with how we acted towards each other, I could see you were a good guy. I’m sorry, Bucky.”
“I’m sorry too,” he whispers. You lace your fingers his.
“So, what now?” You ask quietly, almost afraid of his answer.
He lets out a breath and squeezes your hand. “I want...I want to give this a shot. I know we’ve never seen eye to eye. But we both have these feelings and....I want to explore them with you, if you can ever forgive me.”
You smile softly. “Really? You want that?”
He nods. “Yeah, if you’ll have me.”
You nod, smile growing. “Yes.”
You both just look at each other, smiling like a couple of goofballs. Bucky leans forward, his hands gently cupping your face.
“May I?” He whispers.
You snicker. “Yes.” He presses his lips to yours gently. The kiss is much softer than any other kiss you’ve had.
You and Bucky spent most of the rest of the day wrapped around each other. Exploring each other’s bodies, seeing what made the other tic and what made them crumble. Your hips met his thrust for thrust, starting off soft and going harder each time either of you got close.
Bucky took his time exploring your pussy, savoring each lick, all the while torturing you. He reveled in the taste of you on his tongue. You took pride in watching him shudder as you made him fall apart, only to put him back together like he did to you. He had stamina and practically no refractory period and you took advantage of that. That and the empty dorm room.
And as you laid snuggled on his chest, him holding you close and rubbing your side. You were excited to see where this would lead. You were grateful everything turned out okay.
But as they always say, nothing ever goes as planned.

OC Deep Dive - Soledad
What common/uncommon fear do they have?
(Ignoring the obvious fire and sunlight here)
That she won’t be useful; that she’s been ruined for nothing.
The blood bond.
Diablerie — not as in being diablerized, but the act itself; of being manipulated into/tempted again; of not being able to stop/her bulimia triggering if she’s for whatever reason feeding from another kindred, something she tries very hard not to do.
Aila — that presence when it stirs.
It’s more “fear for”, but Julian, or specifically whatever he’s thinking when his eyes get that focused black gleam. She knows it like some dreaded visual cue: tunnel vision. It used to be cute, watching him prattle while they lay out on the trailer roof on the New Mexico border two hours before sunrise, but they’re not fledglings anymore — there are very real consequences now.
Her voraciousness — in physical and emotional hunger.
Rats.
Do they have any pet peeves?
People that don’t use their turn signal.
When strangers ask about her scar or tattoos right off the bat.
Getting blood on or washing blood out of her clothes — because she customizes everything and really does try to save them.
Minimalism.
Stock cars.
People who talk too fast. When Julian especially starts talking too fast.
When ANYONE adjusts absolutely anything in her car. However she will do just that to yours.
What are three items you can find in their bedroom?
I guess when she’s on the move she will always have:
Topaz and mahogany heirloom rosary
Matte black finish gun kit (+ nighthawk custom)
Emergency blood bag
really quick vibes...

What do they notice first in a person?
Physically, and in rapid succession, their put-togetherness, what they’re wearing, then eyes, then mouth. Appearance might get a second once-over to take everything in, maybe sense the Beast. Body language and demeanor. Power they exude. In some situations with kindred and in more situations with mortals, she might try to gauge how attractive they perceive her to be. Where their eyes fall; how interested and receptive they are. In kind, how open, honest, or easy their behavior is — if there’s a forced sincerity about it. Sol doesn’t have auspex but she is decently intuitive and can be manipulative. She’ll also analyze how they interact with other people — those they know or mutual strangers.
What she notices first after building a rapport with a stranger is loyalty. That’s the moment it sinks in that this is or could potentially be someone reliable or meaningful to her.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?
Physically: 7. Much tougher than a mortal obviously, and she can definitely take a beating, but she doesn’t have fortitude and can be a bit of a glass cannon in a straight fight against heavy hitters. If her insides are mostly outsides at some point, she will be screaming crying throwing up (literally if her derangement triggers which then probably kicks off a hunger Frenzy).
Mentally: 9 LOL. Sol’s resolve and composure are insanely high and she has such a weak, dissolving and deeply negative sense of self already… it would be difficult for someone to target her in that way and have any luck getting through to really hurt her. Which is a whole other issue 🤦♀️
Emotionally (essentially if you are Julian, or her brother Tiago, or the presence of Aila; to a lesser extent Elena and Lettow): 4. Huge upset here is what’s most likely to pierce carapace, hit that soft underbelly. Sol definitely has got that desert fruit pulpy, nutty and horrifically messy centre underneath all the disconnect.
Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure? (Or freeze or fawn?)
It depends. Sol actually works well under pressure (again as long as it’s not her very specific brand of emotionally taxing trigger).
If she thinks she has a chance at getting through, or has no chance at all in a fight, she will fawn. It’s become insidiously intrinsic: whatever you need, whatever you want, I'll bend to any shape, don’t worry about me.
In an unavoidable outright hostile situation she’ll hold her ground and fight but be dirty about it. The nighthawk is pretty effective on mortals lol. With other kindred or when vastly outnumbered however… she’s not a tank but she’s slippery and her scorpion’s-touch-augmented-protean-claws hit like envenomated machetes. She can draw a whip from her vitae and create ugly little parasitic snakes made from spilled viscera. She will incapacitate, possibly fawn again if something can be worked out (Miss Second Chances To Her Detriment over here), and/then/or shoot to kill. Or die I suppose if she loses.
What animal represents them best?
Scorpions, snakes… specifically the species’ that are shyer, solitary and less aggressive, which in some cases those often have the strongest venom — very fitting for Sol. She can be a handle-carefully-and-don’t-push deal these nights.
It’s more out of symbolism but I really like the idea of the hummingbird for her too, in an “in another life/if things had went differently” kind of way (also the Sierra Vista connection — where she grew up). She was once naturally extroverted, poised, playful, dreamy, brave. Never stubborn or too headstrong, but at least less inclined to do what others wanted of her if she disagreed. Those traits have warped a lot, and she’s since got too-sharp teeth and corpse-skin that really is starting to feel a lot like carapace.
She knows she’s a monster, and she has complex views on that, but at the end of it all cannot detach from her conscience. Guilt eats her alive. I think Sol wants nothing else but to keep from what feels like the inevitable complete unhinging of her jaw.
How would a stranger likely describe them?
Striking, quiet but restless beauty. You guys will have to forgive my art lol. She has soft hispanic/asian features, thick dark wavy hair, deep olive tan skin, long legs. A slow and alluring (but not provocative) way of speaking and moving.
Obnoxious tattoos, dark undereyes, and on closer inspection her gnarly jagged scar can often have a stranger furrowing their brow.
She maintains a poker face, is intentionally unexpressive, but there’s an unconscious sensuality about her.
Sad eyes, like they themselves are trying to tell you something that even she’s not aware of.
Very cautious and conscientious — an intuitive stranger might clock that the fawn fear response has become her natural state of existing.
Do they have any hobbies?
At home base, tuning her ride and probably Julian’s fleet if one is left around. She hates stock. I hc Elena will not let her near the Datsun though, that they share that don’t fucking touch anything in my car rage 😭
She has a pet project of fixing up an old BMW R80 G/S — the motorcycle model her dad drove back in the day. (give me the strength to finish the art i have of this pleaaasee)
She likes to make things out of scrap metal too — welding shit together into little tools, or just because she wanted to see or keep her hands busy. Loves customizing, recycling, retrofitting, renovating and restoring.
Honing her butchered version of blood sorcery. Sol dropped out of school and is not academically inclined, but she is tenacious and open-minded and very much a quick, kinetic learner with a good eye for detail. Julian fills her in on whatever important prep knowledge and research she needs from tomes for bigger rituals, but he is usually the one conducting those — Sol has no grand plans. Otherwise she experiments a lot with minor powers within both the blood sorcery and protean disciplines, and her own weird magic-melee amalgamation of them. Because I have to dual-spec or I'll die!!!!!
finally had time to finish this….thank you so much for the tag @diableriedoll ^^
i’ll tag @devilbrakers @gauntlings @silkenred @kibellah @vesperblood

I haven't written in actual years and finally decided to try and pick it up again. So here is the first story I've ever posted and I hope ya'll like it!
Bakugou x Fem!Reader
Summary: Confident reader works at a beauty supply store and lives an average life but one day two men walk in and things start to heat up (modern au and aged up)
WC: 4,730
MDNI
Warnings: f reader, cock warming, p in v, unprotected sex (wrap it up in real life ya'll lol), creampie (let me know if I missed anything)
You work at a beauty supply store and you expect it to be another normal day of customers, some who genuinely need help, some who have been doing their own hair for years, and some older women who like to argue with you until you start fuming. Until a red haired man and a blonde man walk into your store. The blonde looks like he doesn’t wanna be there while the red head looks happy and energetic. You ask them if they need any help finding something and the red head immediately responds “I’m looking for red hair dye”
“Well all our hair dye is down this aisle” you say as you walk towards all the hair dye “have you ever used professional hair dye before?”
“I didn’t really know there was a difference” he said while rubbing the back of his neck
Then the blonde chimes in “his girlfriend always does his hair” as he chuckles to himself
“Yeah she always does my hair and she told me to come here since she is out of town, I’ve never actually done my own hair”
“Oh does she come here often because if so I probably know her” you say a little excited
“Yeah she does!” He says excited “she has pink hair and the most beautiful yellow eyes” he’s like a love sick puppy and it makes your heart warm
“Oh so you’re Mina’s boyfriend, Kirishima right?” With a wide smile on your face
“Yeah I am” a small chuckles comes out of him
“And you must be the grumpy friend, Bakugou” you say trying to hold in a laugh
The blonde turns to you with a scowl on his face while Kirishima laughs and says “yeah that’s him”
“Well I’m happy to finally put names to faces”
You start to show him the red hair dye his girlfriend Mina always buys and all the things he is going to need. You notice another customer walks in the store, you excuse yourself from the two men for a moment to help the other customer.
“Hi welcome in, is there anything I can help you with” you say in your customer service voice to the older lady who just walked in
“Yes” she said obviously already angry “I purchased this electric razor from this store a week ago and I don’t like it! I need a refund!”
You calmly explain that she cant return the item and point out the sign above the register that electric razors are final sales only and there will be no refunds. She is obviously not happy and starts to raise her voice “that sign wasn’t there a week ago! So I’m allowed a refund” her rant continues to the point she is yelling at you.
You start to get extremely angry as you try to continue to explain why the refund isn’t going to happen.
Bakugou and Kirishima hear the women now yelling at you and look over to see the confrontation. They start walking over to the register with all the items they wish to purchase and to see if you are okay but before they get the chance to confront the women yelling at you, you snap.
The anger you were suppressing as the woman berated you finally boiled over and you’ve had enough. You raise your voice at the women, not quite yelling but you are no longer speaking in your customer service voice. “Ma’am. You have no right to yell at me for doing my job. Instead of being a self obsessed person, how about you think how your words and actions affect other people?”
The woman is dumb founded at how you just spoke to her as she tries to collect herself you say “if you have a problem with our policies feel free to call our customer service line and if you feel the need to complain about me, my name is Y/N L/N, but I can assure you I will not lose my job and you will end up looking like the fool”
The woman had shock all over her face and she tried to say things but no words came out, she angrily huffed and stomped out the store.
You turn around and take a second to calm yourself down, if you could have you would have punched her across the face but you know if you did that you would most definitely lose your job. When you finally turned back around you are met with the shocked faces of Bakugou and Kirishima.
Embarrassment swept over your face “holy shit I’m so sorry about that!”
Kirishima still slightly in shock tries to say something but is interrupted by Bakugou “damn that was impressive” he said with a smirk on his face
You look at Bakugou with pink slightly dusting your cheeks “thanks, some people just don't understand common sense" you say as you push some hair behind your ear. Bakugou nods in agreement
You notice Kirishima holding the items you showed them “oh are you ready to check out?”
“Yeah” said Kirishima as he starts to set the items on the counter
You make some small talk while scanning their items and placing them in the bag, he then pays and starts to walk out the door before turning around to see his friend Bakugou “Yo Bakubro, you coming?”
Bakugou snaps out of whatever he was looking at and starts walking towards his friends and then leaves the store.
The rest of your day was fairly normal after that but your head was off thinking of other things.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the parking lot after they left
Kirishima looks over at his friend while walking towards the car “You were starting at her ya know?”
Bakugou looks at his friend “shut up shitty hair, I was not” a slight blush forming across his face
“Come on man you totally were and looks like she wasn’t upset about it” he chuckles “I bet I can get Mina to give her your number”
“I’m gonna hurt you unless you shut the hell up”
Their whole ride home was Kirishima teasing Bakugou while the blush on his face got a little darker
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two days later
You are getting ready for your work day and you can’t stop thinking about Bakugou ‘why am I even thinking about him? I don’t know anything about him except the fact he is extremely hot’ your face starts to warm up just thinking about it. You shake the thoughts while heading out of your apartment to go to work.
Most of your day just flew by and next thing you know you only have an hour left until you gotta close the store. Then a familiar girl with pink hair walks in.
“Oh hey Mina! It’s great to see you!”
She has the biggest smile on her face while she walks up to you “hey girly!”
“I finally got to meet Kirishima last week, he’s so sweet and definitely obsessed with you” you wink at her and she chuckles “Did he forget something? it’s not like his roots grow that fast to need a touch up already” you laugh
“Nope” Mina’s smile didn’t falter which makes you slightly confused “I have something for you”
“Oh? What is it” curiosity gets the best of you
“Someone I know is interested in you” she shoots you a wink
Your cheeks start to warm up and you start thinking of who you know that Mina also knows. It then dawns on you that it could only be one person.
“By the look on your face right now it looks like you know who I’m talking about” she smirks
“Ummm… is it Bakugou?” You say at almost a whisper
“Ding ding ding! You win the prize” she holds out her hand and she is holding a piece of paper
You slowly reach out and grab the paper from her and unfold it. Your eyes get wide looking at the ten numbers written on it. “Is this…”
“Yup it’s Bakugou’s phone number, he wanted me to give it to you”
“Wait really?!” Shock is written all over your face
“Yeah you should give him a call when you get off work”
“Okay… I will but wait, why is he even interested in me? He only met me once and barely spoke” you say
“He saw the way you stood up for yourself when that lady was screaming at you and didn't give two shits about getting in trouble, he likes a girl who can stand her ground and you definitely showed that”
“Wow umm okay I guess that makes sense” you say while rubbing the back of your neck “I’ll give him a call once I close the store”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
40 minutes later
You just finished closing the store and as you walk to your car you are fiddling with the paper Mina had given you with Bakugou’s phone number on it. Once in your car you let out a sigh and dialed his number. The phone started ringing and ringing, the anxiety swirling in your stomach had you holding your breath ‘maybe he won’t answer. Am I really doing this? Shit I’m just gonna hang up and try later’ but before you can hang up the call and voice from the other end says “hello?”
“Umm hi… Bakugou?”
“Yeah, who is this?”
‘Shit did Mina not tell him I was gonna call?’
“It’s Y/N the girl from the beauty store” your nervousness makes your voice a little shaky and you hope he can’t tell
“Oh yeah the girl who wasn’t scared to stand up for herself” you can almost hear his smirk through the phone
Your nerves start to dissipate and your confidence comes through “so I hear you are interested in me” you smile to yourself
“Yeah I may be interested” he slightly chuckles
“So you gonna ask me out or do I have to ask you out?”
He laughs on the other end of the call “how ‘bout I pick you up tomorrow at 6pm?”
“I close the store tomorrow but I’ll be free by 8pm”
“8pm it is then”
“I’ll send you my address and I’ll see you tomorrow”
“It’s a date”
The phone call ends and you giggle to yourself. It’s been awhile since you’ve been this excited about a date
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next day
You wake up and start your day like every other, styling your hair, doing your makeup, picking out an outfit, and making breakfast. Throughout your whole day you are giddy with excitement about your date tonight.
The day went by fast and you finally got home after work, you practically sprinted to your apartment door to start getting ready. You are halfway ready when you hear a knock on the door. You quickly grab your phone to see the time “shit it’s already 8!”
You quickly make your way to the door completely oblivious to what you were wearing. You open the door and are greeted by a tall handsome blonde named Bakugou. He is wearing black slacks that hug his legs perfectly, a black button up with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, and a gold chain around his neck. “Damn you look good” you say with a smile on your face. He looks you up and down and stifles a chuckle “you also look good but I don’t think you can wear that out” he smirks. You quickly realize you are still wrapped up in a towel from your shower and your face gets warm as a blush starts to appear on your face but that doesn’t waver your confidence.
“If you like what you see now just wait till I’m actually ready” you give him a wink “just give me 5 minutes and then I’ll be ready”
You motion for him to come in and then you walk away to your room to finish getting ready
Just as you said it took you only 5 minutes to get dressed. You walk into your living room wearing a tight dark green dress that shows all your curves with a thigh slit that stops just before your hip and a simple pair of matte black stiletto heels.
“Fuck you were worth the wait” he says with shallow breaths
You laugh and it just emphasizes how your breasts jiggle in a dress that leaves little to the imagination of your shape. He is just staring at you and it makes butterflies erupt in your stomach. “Should we get going?” You ask while walking towards him
You can see how his adam apple moves when he swallows before responding “yeah” he extends an arm for you to hold onto and you gladly accept and walk to his car.
The whole car ride he has his hand gripping your thigh and you can feel yourself getting wet, you push the thought out of your head then you finally arrive at the restaurant. He parks the car and gets out, he walks around to the other side and opens the door for you with his hand extended for you to take, you happily accept.
He stops in his tracks when you reach the door of the restaurant. “What’s wrong?” you look up at him with doe eyes.
You scan the area and see what he is looking at, it’s Mina and Kirishima. “Holy shit! What are you guys doing here?” You say while walking towards them
“Bakugou was telling us about your date tonight and how nervous he was so we thought we’d surprise y’all” Mina said with a smile stretched on her face
Bakugou sent a glare her way. You elbow Bakugou on the side “is that true? Mister tall and handsome was nervous?” A smirk on your face
He stammers over his words after you so openly called him handsome. “That’s okay, I was nervous too” you say while giving him a genuine smile.
“Wouldn’t have guessed your were nervous” he chuckles and you elbow him in the side again
“Oh look they look like a couple already and the date hasn’t even started yet” Mina says looking at her boyfriend. “Yeah like a match made in heaven” Kirishima adds
You and Bakugou send them both a look this time before Bakugou says “well should we head inside?”
Everyone nods and walks into the restaurant. The whole night was amazing and filled with smiles and laughter. Sadly the night had to come to an end and you said your goodbyes to Mina and Kirishima before making your way back to Bakugou’s car.
“Can’t believe they crashed our first date” Bakugou said while running his hand through his hair
“How ‘bout I make it up to you?” You say while getting into his car
“What do you have in mind?” He takes your hand in his
“When you take me home, come in for some wine”
He smirks and pulls your hand to his mouth and kisses it gently “I’d love to”
You both arrive to your apartment and walk inside. You go to the kitchen to grab a bottle of wine and two glasses then join him on the couch.
For hours you both talk about likes, dislikes, your pasts, and just about life while sipping wine. Next thing you know it’s 4am, you spent almost the whole night just talking.
“Fuck it’s 4am” you say while looking at the clock
“I guess I should head home”
He starts to stand up but you grab his hand and stand up with him. “Tonight was a lot of fun”
“Yeah it was, I’ll call you tomorrow”
You walk with him to the door and he starts to walk out your apartment. You quickly grab him by the wrist before he walks away and pull him into a kiss, a deep kiss that has him pushing you up against the wall with your hands gripping his shirt and his hands in your hair.
You both pull away breathing heavily. “I couldn’t let you go with out at least one kiss” you say
A smirk appears on his lips “can’t wait to kiss you again” he says before walking out your apartment
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A month goes by and you and Bakugou have officially started dating. It’s been amazing and it’s more amazing you both have been able to keep your hands to yourself this long other than passionate make outs. But that’s soon to change and you are going to make sure of that because it’s driving you crazy for how much you want him to touch you and have him inside you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re sitting at home in bed tossing and turning unable to fall asleep. Your head is swarming with thoughts of your boyfriend Bakugou. You let out a large sigh while sitting up abruptly and whipping the blankets off your body. You lean over and grab your phone off the night stand and hit the call button next to Bakugou’s name.
Ring ring
Ring ring
“Hey baby, what’s up?”
"What are you doing right now?" You sound a little frustrated
"Just hangin' with some of the guys, why?" Concern slightly laced in his voice
You let out a huff before saying "I need you"
"What do you mean baby? You already have me" he said confused
"Fuckin' hell, no! I need you here now, kissing me and touching me"
He is silent on the other end of the call
"Kats? You still there?"
"Yeah... just had to step outside so the guys can't listen in"
"Well how 'bout you just go ahead and ditch them and come over here" you say seductively
"Fuck, baby" his breathing gets slightly heavy
"Come on Kats~ and let me make you cum"
"I'm on the way"
He ends the call and walks back into Denki's apartment. "I'm leaving" he says while grabbing his keys from the kitchen counter
Denki looks up from his phone "Wait? Why?"
"Isn't it obvious" Sero laughs
"What do you mean?" Denki says confused
"He's got pussy waiting for him" Sero smirks
"Oh shit!" Denki says with shock on his face
Bakugou glares at his friends before heading out the door ignoring Sero and Denki's laughter
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back at your apartment
You put your phone back down on your night stand sitting in bed wearing just a t-shirt and a pair of lacy panties. Almost 20 minutes pass and you're about to text Bakugou until you hear a knock on the door. You excitedly jump off your bed and walk to the door, opening it you find a sweaty Bakugou.
"Damn babe, did you run here?" you laugh
"I may have" He looks you up and down and his breath hitches for a moment
You notice how he looks at you and you grab him by the collar of his shirt and pull him in and shut the door behind him
"I promised I'd make you cum" you say while pulling him against your body
The hunger in his eyes grows and he pushes you up against the wall. "I promise I'll make you cum first" He smashes his lips against yours as his hands wander down to your hips and lifts you up. You wrap your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck deepening the kiss even further.
You feel the bulge in his pants grow and start to grind into you, you moan into his mouth and follow his rhythm. You break the kiss first, when you pull your head back a string of saliva still connects the two of you. "Bedroom, first door on the left" is all you said before pushing yourself back to his soft plush lips.
Bakugou moans into your mouth as a response and then he starts to make his way to your bedroom with you still in his strong arms. It's like you weighted nothing to him as he made his way to the room, not a falter in his steps.
Bakugou throws you onto the bed and you let out a small gasp while landing on your back. He starts to crawl his way onto the bed until he is right above you with both hands on either side of your head supporting his weight. "I'm gonna make you feel good, princess~"
Bakugou leans down and places a kiss to your lips, you reach up and wrap both arms around his neck to pull him further into the kiss. You slowly raise one leg to wrap it around his waist to pull his whole body closer to yours and with your new leverage you are able to roll Bakugou over onto his back with you now straddling his lap.
To say his face looked shocked from what had just happened would be an understatement. You look Bakugou in the eyes with a smirk on your face "you seem confused, has no one ever taken control of you before~"
A slight blush starts to rise on his face as he looks at you, you don't break eye contact as you slowly start to slowly take off your own shirt leaving you just in your lace panties. The hunger in Bakugou's eyes grows even deeper when you strip yourself of your shirt and exposing your tits to him. (since you weren't wearing a bra)
"damn" Bakugou huffs out "you're stunning"
A confident smile appears on your lips as you lean down pressing your chest against his. "doesn't seem fair that you still have your shirt on now." You whisper into his ear as your hands glide down his sides until you reach the hem of his shirt and gently pulling it up.
Bakugou takes your hint and sits up and pulls his shirt over his head as you lean back to admire his beautifully sculpted body. After quickly throwing his shirt somewhere in the room his arms quickly wrap around your waist and pulls you in for a kiss. Moving in unison and his tounge swipes across your bottom lip as if asking permission for entrance and you happily let him. Tounges swirling together and moaning into each others mouths as you slowly grind on the hard bulge in his pants.
Bakugou's lips started to drift away from your mouth and down your neck, leaving hickeys in his wake. Your hands find their way into his blonde locks as his lips made their way further down you body until they reach you perky nipples. He slowly licks one small bud ,then takes the bud into his mouth to suck and nibble on it. You back arches into his body as you let out a moan and grip his hair tighter in your hands. A smirk forms on his lips as he detaches himself from your small bud and makes his way to the other to give it the same affection as the first one. That coaxed another moan out of you and you grind even harder on his clothed cock, in desperate need for some type of friction.
You sit up so you are standing on your knees and you run you fingers on the inside of Bakugou's waist band, you lean down to whisper in his ear "take them off." That sent a shiver down his spine but he follows your command and takes off his pants, "these to" you say while rubbing his hard cock through his boxers and he lets out a low moan.
Bakugou's hard cock springs out and lands on his stomach, leeking pre down his length. You take a few seconds to admire his cock before you take your hand to wrap it around his girth. He leans his head back and inhales a sharp breath threw his teeth. As you slowly stroke his length, you use your other hand to slip out of your lace panties and slowly rub circles onto your aching clit.
"fuck" he huffs and then opens his eyes to look at you and his eyes go slightly wide at the sight of you rubbing your own cunt. "shit princess, you're so... nngh... damn hot"
You start to slowly lower your self closer to his aching cock that's still in your hand, lining his member to your entrance. You look him in the eyes, his red eyes swirl with hunger and lust. "do we need a-" his words are cut short when you push yourself down on his cock, taking him all at once. Your walls flutter around him and your head leans back and you let out a loud moan. You look back down at him and while trying to steady yourself you say "no, want to feel all of you"
Leaning down and enveloping him in a deep kiss as you grind and ride him. You sit back up and your speed increases, your moans get louder as your hands grab your breasts. Bakugou is staring at you loving the view of you using him but he is becoming impatient with the slow speed. His hands grab your hips to help you ride him faster "fuck, Kats" you moan.
Bakugou's impatience officially got the best of him and he is now lifting you up and flipping you onto your back without leaving your tight cunt. "I'm done with this slow shit" he huffs "I'm gonna ruin you"
His speed picks up and all you can hear is the lewd sound of skin smacking skin and your crying moans. Bakugou's hand finds its way to you swollen clit and starts to rub slow circles. "fuck, your gonna make me cum" you moan
Your walls flutter around his member, squeezing him so tight with your climax quickly approaching. "shit baby, if you keep squeezing me like that I'm not gonna last"
His thrust start to get sloppy, losing his rhythm as his hand speeds up on your aching clit. "I-I'm gonna-" you scream out in ecstasy and your back arches off the bed, your cunt squeezes him even harder which makes Bakugou let out a deep moan.
"where do-"
"inside" you say in between gasps and your response made him groan "fuck, princess" It doesn't take long for him to paint your walls white with his spend.
He leans down enveloping you in a deep passionate kiss before putting his full weight on top of you and keeping his cock inside you. Both of your breathing starts to steady and Bakugou nuzzles his head into your neck kissing it gently. "I love you Y/N" he whispers extremely quiet almost hoping you didn't hear him because he thinks it's to soon to say. You lean back slightly to look at his face and place a hand on his cheek, rubbing it gently "really?"
"yeah, I knew I'd fall in love with you the moment I saw you stand up for yourself to that bitch"
You stifle your laughter "I love you to Kats" You smile at him warmly and pull his face to yours to softly kiss him. You two lay in bad a little while longer just absorbing the warmth you share.
"okay, I'm feeling sticky, get up" you giggle. Bakugou sarcastically groans and gets up, pulling himself out of you. You sigh at the sudden emptiness but then notice Bakugou walking out of the room "where are you going?"
"getting a wet cloth, you said you were sticky"
You look at him with so much adoration and love. When he comes back into the room, he sits on the bed and wipes you down. After cleaning you up he lays back down on the bed and extends his arm to you, his silent way of telling you he wants you close. You slide into his hold and lay your head on his chest and all you can think before sleep takes ahold of you is 'how did I get so damn lucky?'

A QUEST FOR LOVE
My works are 14+ ONLY. If you’re under 14 DO NOT interact with me or any of my works
Pairing: Half-orc!Hongjoong x Elf!fem reader
Word count: 13,960
Note: I did NOT intend for this to be nearly 14K words!?? I just kept writing until the story was finished. This is the longest imagine I’ve ever written. Idk if I’d even consider it an imagine at this point. It’s more like a mini fic lol. Idk how you guys feel about long imagines (I feel like a lot of people don’t really read them) but if you do, I REALLY appreciate it
The noises in the tavern were loud. Conversations of patrons mixed together to a point where you could hardly make out what anyone was saying-not that you were listening. Belly laughs and the clanking of tin steins hitting against one another in celebration of a successful quest filled the space of the establishment. One might find the cacophony of noises bothersome, but you found it comforting. You'd spent many evenings in the tavern to wind down or just have fun. It was a place you frequented often to treat yourself to a nice meal.
Presently, you were sipping on a delicious soup that was doing wonders for you. That day had been particularly chilly and the broth was warming you up nicely from the inside out. At one end of the room a small group of people danced together as a local musical duo performed songs for them.
Your attention was pulled towards the crowd which had grown quieter and was separating as someone squeezed their way by. You craned your neck to see someone with a head of black hair moving through the mass of people, only catching glimpses of whoever it was. For some reason, your gaze stayed glued on the person as they emerged from a particularly dense group of people and went to sit at a table near the edge of the room to meet with a burly man that you knew as the local quest giver. The stranger was a man, and based on his appearance he was half-orc, though he looked a little different from the usual half-orcs that visited the tavern.
Your interest was piqued and you found yourself watching as he exchanged words with the quest giver. Though half-orcs weren't totally uncommon, they were rare around your village and this one looked different from the others. You didn't have the best vantage point, but from what you could see this half-orc had more gentle features. His skin was a pale green hue like that of a normal orc, but his face was nothing like one-at least from what you could see. You were only getting a side view of him, as he was on the opposite side of the tavern. He wore a black leather vest, brown pants, and knee high boots with a baldric strapped across his back that held a silver sword. No matter how much you tried, you couldn't seem to tear your eyes away from him as he spoke to the quest giver.
The half-orc leaned back in his seat, glancing around the interior of the establishment and that's when he locked eyes with you. The entirety of your body froze and you found yourself staring back. His gaze was sharp and almost intimidating as he maintained eye contact.
It was only when the quest giver got his attention that he turned back to the burly man across the table. Ever so slowly, you lifted your eyes and watched the half-orc as he retrieved a scroll from the man and started making his way out of the establishment. Your gaze followed him as he walked out, noticing how the tavern became quieter when he exited. Everyone seemed to be muttering about him.
A vaguely circular object went tumbling across the floor near the doorway just after the eye-catching man left. Having finished your meal, you shot up from your seat and scrambled to retrieve the item, reaching between the people that passed across the wooden floors, snagging it before anyone could step on it. Upon brief examination you saw it was a rock of some sort-a chunk of red ruby. The gasp that left you was one of both awe and realization as you hurried out of the tavern after the gorgeous mystery man. Shallow huffs left your mouth as you jogged down the cobblestone streets of your village, catching sight of the half-orc just a short distance ahead of you.
"Excuse me!" You called out, hurrying after him.
He heard your call as he came to a halt and turned around, looking for the source of the summoning. His eyes landed on you as you approached him.
"I think you dropped this in the tavern on your way out." The ruby was presented to him.
"My lucky rock." He plucked it from your palm, wondering how it could've fallen out of his bag.
He examined the small satchel he kept tied to his waist, frowning when he saw a hole in it.
"Thank you." The half-orc clutched the ruby rock in his hand. "I didn't even know it fell out of my bag."
"You're welcome."
Your eyes stayed on him for a few moments, taking in every detail of him now that you were up close. His brown eyes were soft and captivating, his dainty nose was fairylike in the way that it sloped and came to a delicate point. His tapered ears donned many piercings, a double helix on one side with a single lobe piercing, on the other side a single helix and three lobe piercings. An array of jewelry decorated his ears, most being silver hoops, some with charms hanging from them with a couple ruby diamond studs in the mix.
"I bet I made quite the spectacle in the tavern."
His words made you blink yourself back to reality and you realized you'd been staring at him for longer than you intended.
"Oh. Well, new people always grab the attention of locals."
"Yeah." He let out a short huff, he knew they were staring at him for another reason. "I'm Hongjoong, by the way." The half-orc extended his hand.
"Hongjoong." You echoed his name, giving his hand a shake. "I'm Y/n. Are you going on a quest?"
"Oh." Hongjoong glanced at the scroll tucked under his arm. "I am."
You glanced around. "Who's accompanying you on your journey?"
"No one. It's just me."
"That's a bit dangerous, isn't it?"
"Maybe." He shrugged.
"And how are you going to defend yourself?"
"I'm pretty good with a sword. Besides, I couldn't find anyone that wanted to tag along."
"Why?"
"I don't know if it's obvious but I don't exactly look like your typical half-orc."
"I know. You're much prettier." is what you wanted to say, but chose to keep that to yourself.
"And that's why you're going alone?" You inquired. "Because you look different?"
Hongjoong let out a short huff through his nose. "Yes."
You furrowed your brows, but chose not to question him for the time being.
"Have you ever been to this village before?" You asked, the question seeming random to Hongjoong.
"No. I heard this was a place where I could receive quests and it was the nearest location."
"Ah." You nodded. "Well, our bakery is the talk of the town. I'd love to take you there if you're up for it."
"I'd better not. Thank you for the offer though."
"Please. My treat. Besides, you'll need something to eat before your quest."
His eyes met yours and he stared at them for a while before nodding.
"Alright."
A small sense of relief and delight washed over you.
"Right this way." You beckoned the half-orc, heading down the cobblestone street towards the bakery.
You had just eaten a generous portion of soup at the tavern, but you wanted to continue speaking to this Hongjoong fellow, which is why you invited him to the bakery, hoping you'd get the chance to extend your conversation with him.
As soon as the wooden door was pushed open, you and Hongjoong were greeted with the pleasant scent of freshly-baked bread and confections as well as a warm gust of air that contrasted from the chilly outdoors. A cheerful 8 foot tall half-giant whom you knew as Yunho, greeted the both of you when you walked in, asking what he could get you.
"I'll have a square of chocolate fudge please." Hongjoong spoke.
"And I'll have one sweet roll please." You added.
The half-giant nodded, getting to work right away, moving to the display case and pulling out what you'd ordered. About that time, a gremlin came hurrying out of the kitchen carrying a tray of freshly-baked blueberry muffins. He had grayish skin, pointed ears adorned with hoops, black hair, and an apron tied around his waist. Most gremlins were quite ugly, but this guy was the complete opposite.
Yunho's eyes lit up at what the gremlin had brought out. "Oh you made my favorite." His large hand moved towards one of the baked goods only for it to be smacked away.
"Get your giant hands away. These are for customers."
Yunho pouted and you could hear the gremlin whisper in a huffy tone, "If there's any leftover at the end of the day you can have some."
"Thanks, Wooyoung." Yunho smiled before bringing your roll and Hongjoong's fudge over.
As you fished out some coins to pay, you asked the half-giant, "Does he bake everything?"
Yunho spared a glance at the gremlin who was making sure the display looked presentable, slightly nudging over a muffin so it sat in line with the others he'd just set down.
"He does. He's really good at baking, which is surprising since gremlins are so... unpredictable."
You and Hongjoong nodded knowingly. Though you had been to the bakery a handful of times, you'd never seen the owner before, probably because he was always back in the kitchen preparing his culinary creations.
Yunho counted the coins you'd given him, thanking you for your purchase as he dropped the money into a wooden chest under the counter.
You and Hongjoong went to sit at one of the tables. The latter glanced around the establishment, his eyes falling on the handful of patrons sitting about, their gazes on him.
"So, what's your story?" You inquired, pulling off a piece of the roll and popping it into your mouth while simultaneously tearing Hongjoong's attention away from prying eyes.
"My story?"
"Yeah. You're going on this quest but you're going alone."
"I don't really have a choice." He spoke, staring at the small fudge square. "My tribe kicked me out."
"Kicked you out?"
"Because I look different. I'm too short, I'm not strong-looking, and I'm not an asset to the group. I'm a liability."
His words etched a small frown onto your features. It hardly seemed fair that he was kicked out simply for his appearance.
"Well, I personally think you're the perfect height."
He gave a half smile.
"How tall are you, anyway?" You inquired purely out of curiosity.
"5'8." (172cm)
"Can't half-orcs be as short as 5 feet?"
"Yes, but most of my kind are closer to 6 feet tall, so I stick out like a sore thumb around them."
"Height doesn't matter."
"It does if you're an orc."
"Not necessarily. I've seen quite a few powerful half-orcs pass through town. They've shared tales of their adventures and excursions. They're quite successful."
Hongjoong finally took a bite of his fudge, nodding softly at your words as if he were processing them.
"You said your tribe kicked you out. What about your parents?" You asked after a few drawn-out moments of silence.
Hongjoong scoffed. "I'm the product of a raid in a human village. My mother didn't want me and dropped me off with a random group of orcs that raised me... sort of. They more so tolerated me, though they made sure I knew exactly how they felt about me."
The frown returned to your face, deepening at his words as you imagined some of the horrible things the orcs might've said to him as he grew up.
"I wanted to prove myself to my tribe and make them reconsider their decision to kick me out by going on a quest, but everyone laughed. No one thinks I'll be successful." He continued.
There was a part of you that, despite not knowing Hongjoong very well, wanted him to succeed in his quest and show those nasty orcs that he was just as strong and capable as they were, perhaps even more.
"Is this your first quest?"
Your inquiry was followed by a nod from the half-orc seated across the table.
It was his first quest and he was going alone because he couldn't find anyone that wanted to accompany him?
"I'll go with you." The words spilled right out of your mouth without warning.
"What?"
"I said I'll go with you."
Hongjoong leaned to the side in his seat to give your appearance a once-over.
"No offense, but you don't look like someone who goes on quests."
"You're one to talk."
His eyes became wider at your quick quip.
"Sorry. Low blow."
"It's true though." He cracked a small smile, showing off a small set of lower fangs which you hadn't been able to see too well before.
"Look, I know an elf girl like myself doesn't look like much, but I'm quite skilled with a bow and arrow."
Hongjoong nibbled on his fudge in thought, tossing around your offer and taking into consideration that he'd be letting you tag along without knowing the extent of your skills. Then again, you were the only person willing to join him and, though he felt he could handle the quest on his own, there's power in numbers-and two is better than one.
"Alright. You can join me."
"Really?"
He nodded. "I suppose it'll be beneficial to have a second person along for the journey."
"Out of curiosity, what's the quest you received?"
"Retrieving a stolen artifact."
"What information do you have?"
"The quest giver said it's an hourglass called The Cromer. It's said to have the power to allow someone to travel between dimensions according to the moon phases."
"Wow." You had never heard of such a relic. "And does that map tell you where it's located?"
"It's supposed to, yes. Apparently, a dragon has hoarded the relic and a local keeper needs someone to retrieve it so that it can be put away safely. The reward is quite large too."
Your brows raised. "A dragon?"
Hongjoong gave a nod of confirmation. "The map is supposed to lead right to his lair."
The suggestion was then made by you to swing by your place and solidify a plan for your journey as well as pack for what would surely be a few days worth of traveling.
Moss blanketed the roof of your quaint cottage, long tendrils of green ivy and purple morning glories growing up the sides of the structure which was surrounded by a plethora of bushes. Hongjoong noted how fitting your home was for a forest elf such as yourself, smiling softly at its woodsy appearance.
Once inside, Hongjoong spread the map out across your circular dining table, using your salt and pepper shakers to keep it weighed down.
"This leads from the tavern to the dragon's lair." Hongjoong pointed out, dragging his index finger from one point to the other. "The quest giver told me the dragon dwells in a cave in these mountains here."
You nodded, glancing at the map, trying to figure out which way would be the safest and shortest passage for the both of you.
"We should avoid going this way." You called attention to a dark cluster of trees by pointing to them.
"Why?"
"Banshees."
"Ah." Hongjoong nodded, relying on you to tell him where the biggest threats lie since he was unfamiliar with the areas on the map.
After some deliberation and heedful planning, you and Hongjoong had your route decided.
"How soon do you want to head out?" You asked while placing a handful of supplies into your bag.
"The sooner the better."
"Very well." You went off to another room, returning moments later with a bow and a quiver of arrows. "Before we go, you might wanna let me fix that torn bag of yours. We don't want anything important falling out of it."
Hongjoong spared a glance at his satchel. "Oh. Right."
As you rummaged for your sewing kit, the half-orc removed the bag and laid it out on the table. The hole wasn't too big and easily repairable.
Your hands busied themselves by threading the needle that was pinched between your fingers, securing it in place and getting to work. Hongjoong's brown eyes observed your actions, a certain emotion swelling in his chest as he watched you do such a simple task. You were so welcoming and had shown him such kindness—it was nothing like Hongjoong had ever experienced. Others were harsh and judgmental, making assumptions about him before he could even open his mouth. Then there's you: warm, friendly, kind, accepting. You'd even offered to accompany him on this quest despite the fact that you hardly knew anything about him. Who does that?
You. That's who.
"Done."
Your voice pulled Hongjoong from his reverie. He blinked himself back to reality.
"Thank you."
"My pleasure. It's good as new now." You smiled softly, the light shimmer on your cheeks catching in the sun that filtered in through the window.
Hongjoong could feel his heart squeeze a bit at the sight. Were all elves this enchanting? He wondered.
Pushing yourself out of your chair, you scurried about your home, gathering only the absolute necessities for your journey which was food, money, and a first aid kit equipped with herbs and other things to make a salve in case of injury.
You excused yourself to change into some quest-appropriate attire, ditching your forest green dress and chestnut corset for a more comfortable cream-colored button down shirt, dark brown pants and knee high boots.
While you changed, Hongjoong rolled up the map and tucked it into his satchel.
Emerging from your room, you collected your quiver of arrows and slipped the strap across your body. Hongjoong blinked a few times, taking in your new garb. You retrieved your bag and bow, turning to the half-orc who averted his gaze immediately.
"Are you ready?"
"Yes." He stood up, adjusting the leather baldric strapped across him, tossing his satchel over his shoulder.
"We need to make one stop before we set out." You mentioned, stepping out of your house.
"Where to?"
"You'll see."
A brief walk through town brought the both of you to an apothecary.
"Potions?" Hongjoong questioned, gazing up at the wooden sign.
"We don't know what we'll run into on the journey. We may need some." You mentioned, stepping inside the small business.
The bell above the door jingled, signaling your entrance. A man with black hair that flipped out at the ends and curled just under his ear stood behind the front counter, a stunning set of small, green-tinted iridescent wings on his back. He rolled up the sleeves of his white shirt, tucking a strand of hair behind one of his pointed ears, lifting his head to greet you and Hongjoong.
"Hello." He smiled warmly, his voice deeper than you expected. "I'm Yeosang. What can I help you with today?"
"We're going on a quest and I'm looking to purchase some potions."
The fairy's eyes lit up. "Oh! A quest? What potions are you interested in buying?"
"Defensive potions. Maybe one that can be used as a smoke bomb?"
"Yes, yes." The fairy nodded, turning around to rifle through the shelves along the wall behind the register, pulling two small bottles out, inside was an opaque grayish white liquid. "Throw these on the ground and they'll explode in a mist that'll temporarily disorient your opponent and give you a chance to flee."
"How much?"
"100 gold pieces each."
"Ah. I think I'll just take one." You dug around in your bag, pulling out one of small tied satchels that held your extra money, sliding it across the counter. "There's 100 gold pieces in there."
The fairy opened the bag and poured out the coins, handing you the empty satchel before beginning to count the pieces. "100 exactly. Thank you for your business."
You gave a small nod and took the potion, placing it into the potion holster secured around your waist.
An unexpected muffled boom sounded from somewhere in the shop, causing you, Hongjoong, and Yeosang to flinch. Moments later, a tall man with messy, brown hair and glasses sitting askew on his nose emerged from a back room in the establishment. His face and robes were dusted in a pale blue powder, assumably from the small explosion.
"Yeosang, I messed up."
"Mingi." The fairy sighed before turning back to you and Hongjoong with an apologetic smile. "Sorry. I'm training him."
You raised a hand, shaking your head in a dismissive manner. Yeosang turned to Mingi, telling him to start cleaning up whatever mess was made and that he'd come help in a moment.
"Clumsiest mage I've ever met." Yeosang murmured under his breath when Mingi left. "Apologies. Is there anything else I can get you for your quest?"
"The potion should be enough. Thank you." You bid the fairy goodby before heading out.
Your boots crunched under the gravelly dirt path leading out of your village with Hongjoong in tow. The pretty cobblestones that paved the streets had gotten sparse as you exited the village limits and entered the unknown.
"Map please." You held a hand out.
Hongjoong immediately fished the rolled parchment out of his bag, handing it over.
The guide was unrolled and you glanced at it, your eyes following the line of ink that had been drawn along the path you and Hongjoong agreed to follow.
"We just keep going until we get to the blueberry fields." You directed aloud, rolling up the map once more.
"Can't believe that smoke bomb potion was 100 gp." Hongjoong huffed out.
"It's a fair price for something like that." You shrugged, following the gravelly dirt trail.
Your trek was mostly uneventful as you traversed along the path, sticking to the planned route that was discussed earlier. Eventually, the lush grass and sizable trees lining the dirt road thinned out and the vast, wild blueberry fields came into view. Hongjoong pulled out the map, the tip of his index finger gliding along the parchment until he came upon the blueberry fields you both stood by. His eyes drifted from the illustrations on the map to what lied head of you.
"According to the route we decided on, we need to take a left here by the tree." Hongjoong informed you.
"Left by the tree." You repeated, stepping forward and veering off to the trail on the left, the rocks in the dirt crunching under the soles of your boots.
"You seemed familiar with some of the locations on the map. Have you ever been outside of your village?" Hongjoong asked, putting a stop to the silence that had been hanging in the air for the last half hour.
"A couple times. I don't like to wander too far, but I've been to two or three places outside of town. Have you traveled outside your home village?"
"With my tribe, yes. Though I never had the opportunity to really enjoy where we went. Too much commotion."
"Ah." You nodded.
Orcs were known for their brute strength and violence, which led you to believe they were too busy causing a ruckus and raiding. You felt a twinge of pity for Hongjoong knowing he could never fully enjoy any of the places he went with his tribe due to all the trouble they most likely caused.
"Maybe this journey will give you the chance to enjoy new places." You mentioned with a smile.
Your words brought some comfort to Hongjoong and gave him something to look forward to. Perhaps he could try and enjoy himself a bit on this journey. After all, it was the first time he was on his own and he didn't have his tribe causing trouble or teasing him.
Your journey led you through valleys and along a few rocky trails, but nothing either of you couldn't handle. Presently, you and your quest partner were trekking through a dense forest, the foliage on the towering trees so thick it was blocking the sun, giving the woods an eerie atmosphere.
"So, how difficult do you think locating The Cromer will be?" You asked Hongjoong as you stepped over a particularly large tree root. "This dragon that's guarding it has to have it hidden somewhere safe." You added.
"I'm not sure. According to what I heard, it's a powerful artifact so I'm going to go ahead and assume it's gonna be difficult to obtain."
"That's probably our best bet."
"The Cromer, huh?" An unfamiliar baritone voice spoke from somewhere in the trees.
Before either of you could speak, a monstrous troll came thudding out of the dense cluster of trees that surrounded you.
You and Hongjoong both came to a halt, taking a collective step back as the troll looked back and forth between the two of you.
"An elf and a little half-orc." The troll chuckled deeply. "What a pitiful duo."
You took a defensive stance, your heart hammering against your chest as you narrowed your eyes at the big oaf.
"What do you want?" You asked, keeping your voice steady.
"I want the map to The Cromer. I could do a lot with an ancient artifact like that."
"Not a chance." Hongjoong spoke sternly.
The troll let out a bellowing laugh, finding Hongjoong's defiance to be amusing, not taking it seriously.
"I can always just take it from you." The troll spoke, pulling out his spiked wooden club.
Hongjoong shook his head, not giving up so easily, especially not to a stupid troll. He was determined to complete the quest and prove himself to his tribe. In other words, he wouldn't go down without a fight.
The troll grinned, showing off a set of ugly, yellowed teeth as he did so, seeing that he'd have to forcefully take the map.
You and Hongjoong collided with one another while attempting to scramble away from the threat just as the wooden club was smashed into the earth, sending clumps of dirt flying up in the air.
The troll laughed deeply, swinging the club towards you. A yelp escaped your mouth as you ducked, the weapon colliding with the trunk of a nearby tree instead, knocking off chunks of bark. Scrambling for a place to hide, you slipped behind another tree nearby, your trembling hands reaching for an arrow from your quiver.
Hongjoong gathered himself and pulled his sword out, the blade making a resounding shing as it was withdrawn from its sheath. He saw you struggling to slide your arrow into your bow as the troll stomped in your direction. Without thinking, he ran forward and swung the blade, slicing along the troll's lower back. A loud, rough groan reverberated through the air as the troll spun around, no longer focused on you.
"You little weasel!" The troll growled, swinging his club and knocking Hongjoong with immense force, launching him right into a tree trunk. He yelped upon impact, his sword falling from his hand as he dropped to the ground. His body lie crumpled in the dirt and undergrowth as he groaned, his bag having come undone during the fall, the map sticking out. The troll laughed victoriously at the sight and took a step forward.
"There it is."
You gasped, sliding your arrow into place and stepping out from your hiding spot, aiming right at the troll's calf. Though tensions were high and your hands were still trembling, you knew you needed to save your friend. Expelling a long breath, you released the arrow, watching as it went straight into its intended destination.
A loud roar of agony ripped through the air as the troll stumbled a bit, glancing back to look at the arrow lodged in his calf, pulling it out with a hiss. This gave Hongjoong the chance to push himself up from the dirt and grab his sword. He staggered, getting a good grip on the hilt before swinging it with all his might as the blade sliced through the troll's backside. You watched with wide eyes as the troll groaned and dropped to his knees, falling face first into the dirt. Hongjoong rushed over and took hold of your forearm, tugging you away from the collapsed troll.
"Let's get out of here."
You nodded, running by him as the both of you fled the scene.
"This might be a good time to tell you that this is my first quest." You confessed, huffing as you leapt over vines and tree roots.
Hongjoong's expression fell into one of shock. Instead of questioning you, he kept quiet, deciding to focus on getting out of the woods and away from that troll first. He could ask questions later.
Short, labored breaths left your dry lips as you slowed to a jog, the trees around you becoming more sparse, indicating that you were close to getting out of what you presumed was troll territory. Hongjoong huffed out a sharp puff of air, slowing to match your pace.
"Almost there." He announced, his voice sounding strained.
A few brief moments later, you emerged from the woods, no longer in an area that was unsafe. Hongjoong let out a soft grunt, his hand placed over his side as he doubled over.
"Are you alright?" Concern laced your voice.
"Yeah." He nodded. "Just getting a pain in my side from running."
You peered out at the sun that was beginning to drop lower in the sky, taking note of how late it was getting.
"We should find a place to set up camp for the night."
Still catching his breath, Hongjoong merely nodded, forcing himself to stand upright.
"Here." You gestured to a decent-looking terrain just off the trail. There were trees and rocks scattered about the area, which seemed like an ideal place to settle for the evening.
Hongjoong trudged behind, following until you got to your designated camping spot.
"I can gather some firewood." He offered.
"Alright. That'll be good." You nodded.
As he walked off, you noticed the way he kept placing his hand on his side. It caught your attention for only a moment before you brushed it off, deciding to start setting up camp.
Retrieving a small blade from your bag, you used it to cut off a few twiggy branches from nearby trees, using them to lie across the grass as a makeshift bed. It wasn't the best, but the leaves added some cushioning.
Hongjoong returned shortly with an armful of sticks and chunks of wood. He appeared to be in no pain, so you chose not to ask questions about his earlier behavior, merely thanking him for collecting firewood.
"I can go back for more if you need me to. This may not be enough."
"This'll be fine."
"I'm gonna go back and get some more."
"Wait. Are you sure you're alright?" You decided to ask.
"I'm fine. I won't be gone long."
The words of protest that were about to leave your lips died on your tongue as Hongjoong walked off.
The fire crackled softly in front of you, bathing its nearby surroundings in an orange glow. You sat a short distance from your half-orc partner, the both of you leaned back against a sizable boulder. The day was fairly warm, but now that the sun had gone down, the night air was beginning to cool. Thankfully, the fire provided just enough heat to keep you both comfortable.
When Hongjoong returned from collecting wood a second time, he had brought back a few berries wrapped in a leaf for the both of you to share. Presently, the both of you were eating and watching the flames and the embers.
"You're hurt." You stated after noticing Hongjoong shifting uncomfortably for the last few minutes.
"I'm fine."
Scooting closer, you hovered your hands tentatively over his side, not touching him just yet. "May I look at it?"
"I said I'm fine. Really."
"You're not." Your voice took on a firmer tone that made Hongjoong fall silent. "I saw you holding your side earlier today."
His lack of response prompted you to unbutton his leather vest to get a look at the injury. Your wandering eyes momentarily halted, lingering on his exposed figure before they finally trailed down to his right side which he had been nursing for the last hour. A nasty-looking purple splotch blemished his perfect skin right where his ribs were.
Before you could question when this could've occurred, you remembered how he was knocked against a tree earlier during your brief battle with that troll. You winced at the sight of the bruise, knowing just from the sight that the injury wasn't minor.
"How have you been walking around like this?"
Hongjoong shrugged. He wasn't one to show much weakness, especially when it came to injuries.
"How does this feel?" You applied light pressure on his side and he hissed, his face twisting in agony.
"Mmm. I think you might've cracked a rib."
"Feels like it." Hongjoong grunted.
"Stay still."
"What are you doing?"
"Just stay still." You repeated, keeping your palm pressed to the bruise.
Hongjoong watched idly as you closed your eyes and took in a deep breath, slowly releasing it through your nostrils. A soft glow emitted from around your hand, a warmth seeping into his skin. The dull throbbing in his ribs subsided after a few moments. The half-orc's brows furrowed in awe while he watched you focus, the bruise that stained his skin fading ever so slightly.
"There." You sighed out, retracting your hand.
A small part of Hongjoong missed the feeling of your touch, but he pushed those emotions aside in order to assess the damage, or lack thereof.
He tentatively sat up straighter, moving a bit to test out the effects of what you'd just done.
"It... doesn't hurt." He murmured breathlessly.
"I healed it for you. Elf magic." You wiggled your fingers, making Hongjoong crack a tiny smile, amused by the cute display. "You'll still have a bit of a bruise, but you'll be able to continue the quest without any hinderance."
His fingers traced lightly over his side, his skin still tingling a bit from where you palm was.
"Thank you."
You began sifting through your satchel, producing a small canteen and an apple.
"Here." You passed them to Hongjoong. "You should eat something besides berries."
"What about you?"
"I've got another apple. No worries." You proved your point by pulling out a duplicate of the fruit.
Hongjoong nodded, satisfied to see that you had something extra for yourself.
"So," He began after taking a bite of his apple, chewing for a moment. "earlier you said this is your first quest."
"That's right."
"Why didn't you tell me before volunteering to tag along?" His question wasn't laced with malice, but genuine curiosity.
"When you told me why you were going on this quest and what you'd been through, I just couldn't let you go alone. My lack of experience was the last thing on my mind."
He nodded, taking in your words. "You were really good earlier when we fought that troll. If you hadn't distracted him by shooting that arrow, I don't think I would've had the chance to get back on my feet."
"You're the one who delivered the final blow that knocked him down." You pointed out.
"Ah. That's true... but, again, I wouldn't have been able to do that if not for you stepping in."
"Right." You chuckled. "So we have each other to thank then."
A moment of silence passed between the both of you before Hongjoong spoke up again.
"I guess we make a pretty good team."
"Yeah." You smiled fondly, nodding your head. "Yeah, we do."
It wasn't long after that the both of you decided to call it a night, hoping to get an early start the following day.
A relaxed sigh left your nostrils as you gazed sleepily at the stars above, admiring the way they dotted the expanse of the atmosphere. You then turned your head to spare a glance at Hongjoong who was already fast asleep. His pretty lashes rested on his cheeks as small snores left him. A fond smile tugged at your lips when you noticed his lower fangs poking out from his bottom lip as he slept. The sight was incredibly endearing and had your heart swelling with adoration towards the half-orc. With a gentle exhale, you shifted your position on the makeshift bed of leaves and closed your eyes, drifting off to the sound of the crackling fire and distant crickets.
The next morning, you awoke to chirping birds and the quiet shiff of someone's shoes moving through the grass. Raising up a bit, you squinted your eyes to see Hongjoong walking around, looking at the map.
"Oh. You're up." He announced once he heard you stirring, heading over and taking a seat in the grass.
"Yeah." You grunted, sitting upright and rubbing your eyes. "How'd you sleep?"
"Not too bad. You?"
"My back is a little stiff."
"Mine too."
"How's your ribs?" You asked, sliding on your quiver of arrows.
"Much better, thanks to you." Hongjoong gave an appreciative smile.
"Good." Your eyes moved to the map, which he was looking at. "Ah. Looks like we'll be passing through a village today."
"Maybe there'll be someplace to eat."
"You read my mind." You chuckled at Hongjoong's statement. "I'm ready for some good food."
After a journey along some rocky terrain and across a creek, you and your quest partner arrived at the village you were set to pass through on the way to your destination. The town was bigger than yours and had many different businesses from clothing shops, weapon shops, bakeries, and eateries. One in particular was called Mountaintop Tavern.
"How about eating here?" Hongjoong gestured.
"Yeah. Let's check it out."
The both of you stepped inside the establishment, which had a decent crowd. Your eyes roamed around the interior of the tavern as you followed Hongjoong to the bar, taking a seat on the stool. A man, presumably a human, with short, choppily-cut black hair stood behind the counter drying a glass. Once he noticed the presence of customers, he approached and greeted you both with a dimpled smile.
"Hi. I'm San. What can I get you two?"
"We're not sure." Hongjoong spoke.
"We're just passing through." You added.
"Oh! Travelers. Are you exploring or are you on a quest?"
"A quest." Hongjoong responded.
"How fun!" The cheery bartender grinned. "Well, we have soups, freshly-baked bread, meat, ale, juice, beer. Normal tavern stuff."
Hongjoong's eyes lit up at the mention of meat. "If you have any sort of seared beef, I'd love some of that."
"We do. It's served with a baked potato and a roll."
"Perfect."
After mulling over the options San had given, you placed an order for what you usually got at your tavern back home.
"We'll have two silver dragonic ales as well please." Hongjoong added.
"Coming right up." San winked, turning around to prepare drinks first.
Two tin steins were set on the bar top moments later, filled to the brim with a slightly coppery liquid.
"I'll go pass your order on to the cooks." San informed before walking off to the back.
"To a successful quest." Hongjoong held up his mug.
"To a successful quest." You echoed his words, clinking your stein with his, taking a generous sip of the ale, humming in satisfaction afterward.
"Ooh. That's crisp." Hongjoong commented, the coolness of the ale colder than expected.
"It's delicious." You took another sip. "Tastes like cider."
"Made with the finest apples." San's voice rang out as he returned to the counter. "Your food will be ready shortly."
"If the ale is this good, I can't imagine what the food will taste like." Hongjoong said with a grin.
You nodded in agreement.
"Well, thank you. I work hard to keep the patrons coming back." San grinned.
"So, you're the owner?" You asked.
"I am."
"I'm curious about the name of the tavern."
"Ah. My name means mountain, hence the name Mountaintop Tavern."
"Ooh." You and Hongjoong nodded in unison.
A customer approached the bar and San excused himself to go take care of them.
"This place is really nice." You commented, looking around at the different items hanging on the walls: swords, shields, and shelves lined with various trinkets and crystals.
A heavenly voice reached your ears, making you turn your head in the direction of the melodic singing.
On a small stage at the front of the tavern was a man with chestnut hair. He held a small guitar and was belting out the most enchanting notes. San noticed how you and Hongjoong were zoned in on the performance, chuckling to himself.
"That's Jongho. He's a local bard that performs here." He informed, walking back over. "He's pretty good, isn't he?"
"Pretty good is an understatement." You murmured.
"He's incredible." Hongjoong added.
"He's very popular with the customers."
True to San's words, the patrons in the tavern had migrated towards the stage, all of them looking just as captivated as you and Hongjoong.
The both of you were so focused on this Jongho fellow that you sat there watching him perform until your food arrived. The mouthwatering aroma is what drew your attention away from the bard.
As expected, the meal was delicious. It was probably the best tavern food you'd ever eaten—even better than the one back home.
Hongjoong let out a satisfied sigh, having cleaned his plate. He didn't know seared beef could be so tender and flavorful. Back in his tribe, he often ate dried meats or meat grilled over a fire, though it was flavorless and sometimes overcooked. This, however, was so well-cooked it practically melted in his mouth.
San gave you the total for your meals and Hongjoong promptly counted out enough silver pieces to pay for them, giving you no time to pull out your own money. You quietly thanked him for covering the meal, standing up from your seat.
"Everything was phenomenal." Hongjoong praised San.
"It was." You agreed. "It took us a day to get here but I'd almost consider coming back just to eat here again."
A bright and prideful grin spread across San's face at your positive words. "Thank you. Both of you." He gave each of you a nod as you headed out. "Safe travels."
The both of you stepped out into the dirt streets, satisfied after having a decent meal.
"We should hit the road." Hongjoong mentioned, reaching towards his bag to retrieve the map.
"Wait. Let's walk around for a bit and check out the village."
"What about the quest?"
"The quest can wait. You said you never got the chance to explore new places with your tribe, right? Let's just enjoy ourselves for a while."
The half-orc's expression softened, settling into a gentle smile. He couldn't believe you suggested sticking around just so he could explore. It was so... considerate.
The both of you set off through the village, window shopping and waiting for something to grab your attention. Hongjoong's eyes were practically glimmering while passing by each store, taking in everything like it was his first time seeing it. You could only imagine it was the first time he was seeing a town that wasn't in a panic from a raid his tribe started.
"Could we go in here for a minute?" He gestured towards a shop.
You nodded, following him into the small establishment where many garments were being sold. From fine clothing for fancy events to simple travelers clothes—it appeared this shop had it all.
Hongjoong veered over to a rack displaying a variety of satchels which he started perusing. The thought of purchasing a new bag crossed his mind since his current one had ripped, but he paused, glancing down at it and running his finger over the seam where you'd sewn the tear shut. The image of you sitting across from him, quietly mending his bag flashed in his mind, making his heart feel warm. He decided at that moment that he didn't need a new bag.
Abandoning the display of satchels, he headed to the clothing where he briefly scanned the wares, finding simple lace up blouses, neutral tone trousers, leather jackets, and even animal pelts. Just the sight of the furs reminded Hongjoong of his tribe. Many orcs back home wore pieces of armor, tunics made from animal skin, or fur pelts tossed over their shoulder—some only wore a loincloth. Hongjoong shivered at the image. He was the only one who dressed civilly, which was another thing he was made fun of for.
Any thoughts of his life back home were chased away when he laid eyes on a rack of coats, more specifically a long fur coat. It didn't look messy and primitive like some of the animal pelts his tribe members wore, this one was regal and carried an energy of prominence and grace. He didn't have a need for something like that and he wouldn't be able to bring it with him on the remainder of the quest, but it was a wonderful coat. His hands ran over the fur, feeling the soft material before relocating to another area of the shop.
Meanwhile, you were browsing a selection of dresses in an array of colors and styles. Your fingertips brushed over the fabrics, taking in the various designs. One dress in particular caught your eye; it was in your favorite color with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a long, flowing skirt. You quietly marveled at the simplicity of it, liking that it wasn't too frilly. After admiring the dress, you moved to a different section of the store, browsing everything there was to offer, occasionally sparing a glance in Hongjoong's direction to check on him. He was completely engrossed in what he was doing, meandering around the shop with bright eyes. A fond smile tugged at your lips while you watched him, stepping a little closer to admire him. His delicate and stunning features were what first drew you to him. He truly was the prettiest half-orc you'd ever laid eyes on.
Hongjoong lifted his head, making eye contact with you from where he stood a couple racks away. You gave him a small smile before busying yourself by looking at a collection of boots nearby. You tried not to stare at him after that, slightly embarrassed that he happened to look up while you were silently admiring him.
After spending some time in the village and stopping inside different shops, you and Hongjoong got back on the road, following the route drawn on the map.
"So, what did you think?" You asked. "Was it nice to enjoy your time in a village for once?"
"Yes. Even if I didn't buy anything, it was enjoyable to be able to browse in peace."
"I assume your tribe was always raiding places and causing chaos?"
"That's right. I never participated in raids and chose to stay home. Though there were a couple times I was forcibly dragged along. I just stayed back out of the way and watched." He shook his head, visibly reliving the memories. "It was horrible."
A sympathetic expression flashed across your features at Hongjoong's recollection of events.
"It must be difficult being the only half-orc in your tribe."
"It is. They're all so... primitive and boisterous. I'm nothing like that."
"I like that you're not."
Hongjoong's eyes met yours, his fingers playing with the strap of his messenger bag. "You do?"
"Yeah. I like you the way you are."
Your words made a smile spread across his face and a warm feeling blossom in his chest.
"There's something I wanted to talk to you about." Hongjoong spoke after a few moments of silence.
"Yes?"
"We never discussed the reward money, but I plan to split it with you."
"What?" Your brows furrowed in perplexmxent. "No, no. That's not necessary."
"It is. You offered to tag along and you're helping retrieve The Cromer so you should get a cut of the reward."
"I only tagged along because I didn't want you going alone."
"And I'm grateful for that, so we're splitting the reward."
Heaving a reluctant sigh, you silently agreed to his proposition. This pleased Hongjoong, as a content smile settled onto his lips and he gave a nod of finality.
The map was retrieved from Hongjoong's bag and he gave a glance at it, locating the village the both of you were headed out of.
"Looks like we'll be at the mountains sometime today." He spoke. "If we don't run into any trouble, that is."
You released a long breath, glancing out at the few cottages dotting the land. "Let's hope for the best."
Things haven't been too bad for the both of you. Yes, you'd run into a troll, but you and Hongjoong both made it out of that situation with your weaponry skills. Not many people had it that easy.
"So, that ruby of yours, is it really lucky?"
"I don't know." Hongjoong shrugged, reaching into the pocket on his bag and pulling out the small rock, turning it between his fingers to watch it shimmer under the sun. "I just keep it with me. Though nothing too terrible has ever happened to me while I've had it on me."
"How'd you acquire this lucky rock?"
"I found it while my tribe was raiding a town. I was stood behind a couple barrels trying to stay out of the way and happened to see it in the dirt right by my feet. There were no crystal or gem shops nearby so I'm not sure where it came from, but it seemed like a special find. It was nice to find something so beautiful and precious while all this chaos was ensuing around me."
You smiled, happy that he was able to find some semblance of positivity while being forced to witness the wrath of his tribe.
"This is it." You commented, staring into the narrow mouth of the cave.
Hongjoong looked up from the map, expelling a sigh. "This is it. The Cromer is in there."
"Here goes nothing." You took in a deep breath and took a step forward.
"Wait." Hongjoong held his arm out to stop you. "Let me go first."
The fact that he wanted to take the lead and go first made your heart flutter just a bit.
He stepped ahead and entered the cave. You allowed him to do so, steeling yourself for what might await.
Trailing behind Hongjoong, you followed him through the narrow and rocky tunnel. It was just big enough for the both of you to walk through it. However, the farther you got, the less light from the outside was able to reach, making it difficult for you to see.
"It's too dark." Hongjoong murmured, feeling along the walls.
"I think I might be able to help. I can't promise it'll work, but it's worth a shot."
Focusing your energy, you held out your palm and steadied your breathing before casting a dancing lights spell. A glowing orb was created, hovering above your open palm. With some light now illuminating the area, you could see Hongjoong's amazed expression.
"I didn't know you knew how to do that."
"I guess you can say I have a few tricks up my sleeve." You grinned. "I wasn't even sure it would work. I only know a limited amount of spells and they're all pretty mundane."
"Well this one seems useful." He gestured to the light. "Come on. Let's keep going."
You continued to keep the ball of light hovering over your palm as you two made your way through the cave, walking over the uneven terrain below your feet. The further you got into the cavern, the more anxious you became. You'd never battled a dragon before. You'd never battled anything except for that troll the other day, which turned out well, but who's to say the battle with this dragon will go the same way?
"You alright?" Asked Hongjoong.
It was almost as if he could sense your nerves.
"I'm okay. Just a little anxious, I guess. There could be a big battle ahead of us."
"Not if we evade the dragon." He paused, glancing back to see your concerned expression, offering you a small but reassuring smile. "We'll be fine, Y/n."
His words brought you some comfort and helped to ease a little of the dread and anxiety you'd been feeling.
A dim glow up ahead let you and Hongjoong know you'd made it to the dragon's lair.
Emerging from the passageway, you were met with the sight of a vast interior area with gold and treasures galore. Large torches lined the rocky cave walls, giving an orangey glow to its surroundings and filling the air with a smoky, sooty scent.
Hongjoong surveyed the area, giving a jerk of his head to signal that the coast was clear to keep moving, so you did. Staying close by, you and the half-orc started tiptoeing past the giant piles of cold coins, jewelry, and other precious objects.
"Where do you think The Cromer is?" You whispered, keeping your voice low.
"Don't know." Hongjoong looked up at one of the higher levels in the cave, noticing an opening. "Maybe up there?"
You nodded in agreement, prompting him to proceed, moving past one of the piles of treasures. His arm immediately shot out to stop you, his unexpected strength making you grunt when your abdomen collided with his forearm. You opened your mouth to ask what the problem was, but promptly snapped it shut when you saw what had startled Hongjoong.
Lying just a few feet away was a massive black dragon with scales so shiny that they reflected the lights of the torches on the cave walls. The winged creature was curled up, resting on a bed of shiny coins, expelling low snores from its nostrils. Hongjoong held a finger up to his lips, his free hand reaching for yours. The sensation of his hand clasping your own sent a fluttering to your stomach, which you were forced to ignore due to the snoozing threat a few yards away.
Hongjoong started climbing clusters of rocks that led to the higher platform. He kept a firm hold on your hand while he moved up, using his free one to grip the rocky wall and maintain his balance. He huffed, taking one final step to the top where he released your hand.
Hongjoong cautiously tiptoed towards the opening of the elevated cavern with you just behind. Ahead was a much smaller cave filled with more treasure and as you got closer you scanned the pile of precious belongings.
"I don't see any hourglass." You whispered.
"Maybe we have to dig for it. We don't know how long the dragon has been hoarding it."
The both of you began working in tandem, sifting through the pile, pushing aside coins, crowns, and bejeweled items, doing your best to not make a lot of noise in the process.
"What if it's in one of the piles down there?" You jerked a thumb towards where the both of you had just come from.
"We'll know if we don't find what we're looking for up here."
After some more digging, a soft gasp from Hongjoong reached your ears.
"I found it."
Ever so gently, he extracted the bronzy-gold hourglass from the coins and other prized items, holding it up to show he was telling the truth.
"That's The Cromer?"
He nodded.
"We need to be careful with it." You cautioned, remembering what Hongjoong had told you about it.
He nodded once more, rummaging inside his messenger bag to rearrange something before placing The Cromer inside.
"Alright." He sighed, feeling a small sense of relief. "Let's get out of here."
With The Cromer in possession, you and Hongjoong started descending the rocky side of the cliff which you'd climbed up earlier. You kept a tight hold on the side of the raised platform, unable to keep your eyes off the mounds of gold sitting below you on the main floor of the cave. Subconsciously on edge from the startling sight, your grip tightened on the rocks as you took one step at a time back down to the ground.
"This way." Hongjoong gestured, taking your hand and pulling you in the direction of the cave entrance.
You were so focused on getting out, neither of you noticed the absence of the sleeping dragon.
Just as you and your quest partner were about to head that way, a massive, black beast swooped down in front of you.
"Where do you think you're going?" His gravelly voice spoke sharply.
You gasped, stumbling back a bit.
"Hongjoong." You whispered out in a trembling voice.
"Don't worry." The half-orc gave your hand a squeeze before releasing it and withdrawing his sword.
The dragon roared, raising one of his clawed hands and swinging it at Hongjoong who jumped out of the way, grabbing you in the process. This sent both of you tumbling to the ground, landing in the edge of a pile of coins.
The dragon wasted no time in taking another swipe with his razor sharp claws. Hongjoong, with an arm still hooked around your waist, rolled away just as the monster struck the spot you were at.
"You want to take what is mine?" The dragon roared.
At that moment, you and Hongjoong got to your feet and started to run. You fumbled for your bow, sliding it off and loading an arrow into it. There was no time for you to focus on aiming properly as you pointed the weapon in the general direction of the dragon, releasing the arrow which flew through the air, just barely grazing the beast's arm. He growled out at the stinging sensation it caused, lunging forward in retaliation. You and Hongjoong swerved in opposite directions to flee, separating from one another.
The dragon huffed, glancing left and right before deciding to go after you. A scream was ripped from your throat as you ran, pushing your legs as fast as they would go, ducking and dodging, moving around pillars and mounds of hoarded possessions in order to evade any attacks from the dragon. Unable to use your arrows due to the closeness of the dragon, your only option was to run. Any moment of hesitation would get you caught. Rounding one of the many piles of treasures, you found yourself at a dead end. Without thinking, you grabbed onto the rocky wall of the cave and started climbing, sparing a glance over your shoulder to see how close the threat was. Extending a trembling hand, you grabbed hold of a rock only for it to slip out of place and tumble to the ground. A yelp left you as you went sliding down the abrasive rigid side and back to the ground. You didn't get very far before you fell, so the drop was only a few feet, but the jagged rocks really did a number on you. You whimpered, squeezing your eyes shut as you rested against the wall, knowing you were about to meet your demise.
Hongjoong saw you were about to be cornered and knew he had to do something. With adrenaline coursing through his veins, he frantically searched the interior of the large cave, his eyes landing on a boulder sitting on a ledge near the opening. If he could get the dragon closer, he might be able to push the rock onto him. Without wasting another moment, he started climbing up the wall towards the large boulder.
"Y/n!" He shouted.
This grabbed your attention and made you open your eyes. On the opposite side of the cave, you spotted Hongjoong standing on a small ledge with his hands on a boulder the size of his body. Your gaze then darted to the approaching threat that glared at you with golden eyes. Mustering your strength, you pushed yourself to your feet, holding your side as you stood, your fingers brushing the glass bottle secured in the holster on your waist.
The smoke bomb potion.
You'd nearly forgotten about it. Unfastening the button, you pulled the bottle from its confines and smashed it on the ground, the glass shattering upon impact as a plume of smoke clouded the air. You took off, bolting past the disoriented dragon who was growling and roaring in agitation as you fled, dashing towards the exit.
"Come on!" Hongjoong shouted from up on the ledge. "Get him over here!"
You gave him a thumbs up, pushing your legs to go faster.
The dragon gave a flap of his wings, growling when it didn't clear the magical smoke that obstructed his view. With a roar that reverberated inside the cave, he shot up into the air, away from the plume of clouds and began flying directly towards you.
Hongjoong used the boulder to hide from the beast's view, his heart aching as he watched you run. He wished he could be down there but he needed to execute his plan.
Your face twisted at the burning in your side which was no doubt covered in scrapes. The only thing keeping you going was the entrance of the cave coming into view. That sight alone gave you the extra push you needed to close the space between yourself and the cave opening.
Once he knew you were safe, Hongjoong pushed the boulder, his orc strength coming in handy for moving such a large object.
The dragon was moving closer. This was it.
Before he could push it over the ledge, he hesitated, something inside of him unable to follow through with his plan. Clenching his jaw, Hongjoong redirected the boulder to the entrance of the cave, pushing it over the ledge before he started making his way back down. Hongjoong's last-minute plan B was to leap in front of the rolling boulder just before it was lodged against the opening of the cave, thus separating you and him from the dragon.
The half-orc made a beeline for the opening, slipping through just seconds before the rock collided with the mouth of the cavern.
"Hongjoong!" You exclaimed in relief, rushing over to him.
He huffed, leaning against the wall to catch his breath for a moment, his heart beating so violently he could hear it in his ears.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." He responded breathlessly. "We should go."
You nodded, preparing to cast another dancing lights spell so you could see to leave, but before you could do so, the boulder blocking the opening started to move. Hongjoong instinctively took hold of your arm and began guiding you away. He'd rather feel his way out in the dark than risk facing the dragon again. With a palm pressed to the wall, he started moving forward, keeping you at his side while making his escape.
"Wait!"
You both stopped at the sound of an unfamiliar voice. Turning around, you were met with the sight of a dark-haired man with sharp, golden eyes and shiny black scales framing them. His black wings stood proudly behind him and a dragon tail laid on the floor at his feet. Seeing the dragon that had chased you both standing before you in hybrid form was unexpected. What's more, he wasn't trying to attack either of you.
"You could have pushed that boulder onto me and yet you didn't. Why?" His golden gaze was directed at the half-orc beside you.
"I couldn't." Answered Hongjoong. "It didn't seem right."
The dragon stayed quiet for a moment before speaking again. "What are your names?"
"I'm Y/n and this is Hongjoong." You answered.
"Why were you trespassing? What was it you were stealing?"
Hongjoong reached into his bag and pulled out The Cromer.
"An hourglass?" The dragon appeared confused. "Why?"
"We were sent on a quest to retrieve it. It's an ancient and powerful relic that belongs in the hands of a keeper."
"We've no desire to steal any jewels or other possessions." You added.
After a prolonged silence, the dragon nodded knowingly, which took both you and Hongjoong by surprise.
"Very well. You spared my life, so you may keep the hourglass."
"Thank you..." Hongjoong trailed off, not knowing the dragon's name.
"Seonghwa."
"Thank you, Seonghwa."
"I have one condition though." He mentioned.
"What's your condition?" You inquired.
"Living in this cave can be rather lonely. As you can probably imagine, I don't have many guests, unless they're thieves wanting to steal some of my hoard. If you didn't travel too far, would you perhaps be willing to come back sometime?"
"Come back?" You and Hongjoong echoed Seonghwa's words.
"Yes." The dragon had a gentle and almost pleading look in his golden eyes which were now round with something akin to hope.
A brief look was shared with your quest partner to gauge his reaction before you both nodded in agreement to Seonghwa's condition.
"I think we can arrange that." Hongjoong stated.
The round, golden eyes that were full of hope were now sparkling with anticipation.
"Very well. I look forward to your next visit."
After bidding each other goodbye, you and Hongjoong parted ways with Seonghwa, making your way back out of the cave. Once outside, you dropped down on a nearby rock, heaving a drawn-out sigh of exhaustion. Your side still stung from the fall you had earlier.
"Are you alright?" Hongjoong's question gained your attention.
"I got scraped pretty bad when I fell." You responded, reaching into your bag for the first aid items you brought. "I haven't looked at the damage yet."
"Can you heal it like you did with me?"
"I don't really use that magic for scrapes. Besides, it takes a little energy out of me." You tugged your collar out just enough to glance down at the injuries under your shirt. A sharp intake of air was taken in through your teeth at the sight of the discolored scrapes on your ribs and hip.
"Is everything okay? You need me to take care of it?" Hongjoong sounded a bit frantic as he stepped closer to you.
"I think I can bandage it up myself." You grabbed some of the herbs you brought with you, grinding them up in the small bowl, taking some fabric strips and spreading the salve onto it.
You worked to unbutton the bottom buttons of your shirt to reveal some of the scrapes. Hongjoong winced at the sight. He wanted so badly to jump in and bandage your wounds for you, but you insisted you could do it on your own, so he stood by quietly.
You did your best to hold your shirt up and apply the strips of fabric, but the task was proving to be difficult.
"Here." Hongjoong decided to intervene and offer his assistance. "Let me do it."
With a soundless sigh, you surrendered and allowed him to take over, holding your shirt up just below your chest. Hongjoong took one of the strips of fabric with the salve spread along it, placing it on one section of the scrapes that littered your side. You hissed softly when the fabric made contact with the wound.
"Sorry." He murmured. "I'm trying to be careful."
You watched as Hongjoong secured the bandage around you, his fingers gently brushing along your skin every so often, making you suppress a shiver and sending warmth to your cheeks. He worked meticulously, applying the salve you mixed up onto the strips of fabric before delicately wrapping them around your midsection.
"There."
You glanced down at your bandaged body, assessing the work he'd done. "Thanks."
"Will you be good to walk?" Hongjoong asked while standing up and offering his arm.
You grabbed hold and got to your feet. "I think I'll be alright. Now, what do we do with The Cromer?"
"We take it to The Keeper. His location is on the map I was given." Hongjoong pulled out the parchment, unrolling it so you could see. "That structure right there is where he resides." He pointed.
"That's not too far from here. We might be able to make it there today."
"Then we should get going."
With a nod of agreement, the both of you set off for your final destination, traversing through the wooded area surrounding the mountain.
You kept a hold on Hongjoong's forearm as you walked. The stinging in your side had subsided thanks to the salve, but you continued using your quest partner as a support so you wouldn't strain yourself too much.
"The idea to roll that boulder into the cave opening was a smart idea." You told Hongjoong.
"Oh. Thanks." His cheeks were dusted with pink at your praise. "Using that smoke bomb potion was pretty clever too. I hated that I wasn't there to help, but it seems like you had everything under control."
"I did." You nodded with a small smile.
The sound of distant voices reached the ears of you and Hongjoong. Assuming it was other travelers passing through the area, you paid no mind to it and continued on. It wasn't until you caught a glimpse of a small group of men through the trees that something didn't feel right. They were all dressed in black and had bandanas tied around their faces, concealing their noses and mouths. Hongjoong seemed uneasy at the sight as well, his instincts telling him this group was bad news.
"We should go." He whispered to you.
You gave a nod before he tugged you further into the trees. The area you were traveling through had a mix of evergreens and rocks as well as some clustered boulder formations, which gave you a few options for a place to hide.
"In here." Hongjoong guided you inside a small cave he spotted nearby, pulling you further into the darkness where he took a seat on the rocky floor. "We should be safe here."
The both of you were far enough away from the cave opening that the group of potential bandits wouldn't be able to see you if they were to pass by the area—at least, you hoped they wouldn't.
You grunted softly as you lowered yourself to take a seat next to Hongjoong on the ground, trying not to bend your body a certain way to prevent any stinging from the bandaged scrapes.
"Well, looks like we're gonna be staying here for a while."
"That's fine." You sighed out, resting your head against the rocky cave wall. "I'd rather stay here until it's safe than risk running into bandits and having The Cromer stolen."
Hongjoong hummed in agreement.
You closed your eyes for a moment, leaning your head back a bit while soaking up the silence. When you opened your eyes again, you noticed glowing specks on the cave ceiling.
"Hey, what's that?"
"Where?"
"Up."
Hongjoong glanced up, taking in the array of spots that looked like stars. "Woah. Looks like some sort of bioluminescent fungus or something."
"It's so... pretty."
"Yeah. I've never seen anything like it."
You slowly got to your feet, cautiously taking a couple steps forward while navigating the dark, your curiosity getting the best of you.
"I wonder if there's more."
Wanting to stick close by and also keep an eye on you, Hongjoong stood up and followed behind as you moved further into the small cavern, his eyes wandering along the ceiling that slowly started to get more speckled. Up ahead there was more fungi growing on the walls and even between some of the crevices in the rocky floor.
"Woah." You breathed out in awe as the cave was now coated in a pale blue glow that emanated from the bioluminescent fungus.
Turning to Hongjoong with a bright smile that radiated pure exuberance, you let out a laugh of elation. The half-orc could've sworn his heart beat right out of his chest at that moment, his breath hitching softly. You looked so beautiful and so happy—the picture of perfection. The way your eyes glimmered and reflected the glowing clusters as you admired the fungi made Hongjoong feel like he was going to melt into a puddle.
"Y/n?"
Hearing him call out your name so softly made your turn to look at him, the faint blue glow from the fungi highlighting his face beautifully.
"There's something I wanted to tell you."
His tone was serious, though it carried a hint of nervousness, which made you focus all your attention on him.
"What is it?"
"I wanted to thank you for volunteering to join me on this quest. I can't imagine what it would've been like for me if I'd gone alone like I originally planned."
"You're welcome. I've actually enjoyed this little journey, despite the battles... and injuries." You chortled.
"Me too." Hongjoong returned your grin. "I wanted to also thank you for being so kind. Rejection is all I've ever known, growing up in a tribe of orcs who looked down on me and belittled me for being only half of what they were. When I met you, you didn't look at me differently. You treated me just like anyone else."
"Well, if I'm being honest, you're not like anyone else."
Hongjoong blinked a couple times, puzzled.
"You're unique. There've been half-orcs pass through my village, some even live there, but none have been as handsome as you."
"You think I'm handsome?" His words were uttered in a voice barely above a whisper.
"I do. And I think people stare because of that. I personally couldn't take my eyes off you when we first met."
Your words were setting Hongjoong's cheeks aflame. He was preparing to confess his feelings to you and here you were doing exactly what he was planning to do.
"Well," He began, gathering his nerves that were slowly fading thanks to your positive words towards him. "as long as we're being honest, I've never seen an elf as ethereal as you."
Now it was your turn to be flustered. Your mouth opened to say something, but you uttered no words and ended up snapping it shut. Hongjoong was amused by that, chuckling as he took a step closer to you. He hoped he was reading things correctly and that this moment was heading where he hoped it was.
Your eyes met his, the natural shimmer on your cheeks catching in the bioluminescent glow from the fungi. The gap between your bodies was slowly closing as each of you moved on your own volition towards one another.
Hongjoong's hand was warm as it cupped your cheek gingerly, his touch leaving faint tingles in its wake. Your breathing was shallow and anticipatory as he inched closer at an agonizingly slow pace.
The tip of his dainty nose brushed against yours, the sensation making your eyelids flutter. Then, finally, his soft lips made contact with yours and you melted instantaneously. Your hands rested on his chest as you leaned into him, though your palms didn't stay there for long and slowly migrated to his shoulders where your arms slid around his neck. In turn, Hongjoong's free hand came to rest on your waist, slowly gliding up your side to feel the shape of your body. A shaky exhale left your nostrils at his gentle caresses. He was being so slow and deliberate as if to commit every dip and curve to memory. His lips moved just as leisurely as his hands, dragging over your own in a passionate kiss that was making your knees weak and your stomach explode with butterflies.
A small hum from you vibrated against Hongjoong's lips as you pressed your face closer to his, deepening the kiss. This caused his hold on you to tighten, the hand that was cupping your cheek moving to the nape of your neck to keep you locked in place. Hongjoong's other hand that was exploring your waist slid around to your lower back, guiding you forward until you were flush against him. The closeness sent a wave of heat throughout your body, another low hum left you. There were so many sensations being experienced you could hardly focus, your mind clouded with thoughts of the man holding you. Heavy exhales, soft hums, and kissing sounds were all that could be heard inside the cave.
After what felt like forever and yet not long enough, Hongjoong parted ways, pulling his lips from yours. His thumb gently dragged along your bottom lip as he licked his own.
"So beautiful." He murmured, his voice hoarse from the heated moment.
You suppressed a shiver, your half-lidded eyes looking into Hongjoong's with pure affection, and an undertone of desire to kiss him again, but there was a quest to complete.
"We should head to The Keeper." He spoke once more.
You nodded at his suggestion, knowing The Cromer needed to be taken somewhere safe as soon as possible.
You and Hongjoong stood at the entrance of a large structure made of gray brick; it wasn't a castle nor a temple, but something in between. With a push on the door, the both of you started making your way inside to meet with The Keeper.
You entered a small room with plinths lining the walls, each one with an item displayed on the top. Striding about the room was an elderly man with a gray beard, his dark robes dragging behind him. His attention was drawn towards the presence of you and Hongjoong.
"What brings two young travelers to my preservatory?" The man's left eye was covered with a patch that had a crescent moon embroidered on it.
"Are you The Keeper?" You asked.
"I am."
"We're here to bring you an ancient artifact." Hongjoong responded, approaching the man.
Reaching into his bag, he pulled out the hourglass the both of you had retrieved from the dragon's—Seonghwa's lair.
"The Cromer." The Keeper spoke in awe. "I've been waiting for brave travelers to bring this to me." He carefully took the hourglass from Hongjoong's hands. "You two are the only ones to succeed. Thank you. I can assure you, your hard work will not go unnoticed."
You and Hongjoong watched as The Keeper walked away, muttering, "Follow me." as he shuffled across the marble floors.
The elderly man led you into a separate room with a singular pedestal situated at the far end. He placed The Cromer on the plinth and held his hands out, a pale green glow emitting from them as a glass case materialized around the artifact, sealing it away. You and Hongjoong were in awe at the impressive display of magic.
"Now," The Keeper strode to a chest on a shelf, murmuring some words as it unlocked and opened. "I believe you two have earned this."
A large bag of coins was removed from the wooden box and placed into Hongjoong's awaiting hands, it's weight taking him by surprise.
"The Cromer is now in its rightful place thanks to the two of you."
With the quest now completed, you left the preservatory and began the journey back the way you both came.
Hongjoong couldn't believe it. He did it. He completed his first quest. His tribe would certainly accept him now.
The thought of his tribe made the half-orc pause his train of thought for a moment, his expression falling ever so slightly. This entire time, his plan was to complete the quest and prove to those who made fun of him that he was capable. His eyes turned to you who was gazing up at the trees that towered over the trail. Hongjoong's heart softened at the sight and he began to realize that going back to his tribe didn't sound as appealing as he once thought. After spending time with you, he'd been shown kindness and had experienced acceptance and appreciation, which he wasn't used to, but he really liked it. He liked the way it made him feel warm inside and filled him with happiness. For the first time in his whole life he felt like he was enough—and it was all because of you.
"Don't go back to your tribe."
Your sudden vocalization caught Hongjoong by surprise, especially because it aligned with what he was currently thinking.
"What?"
You turned your head to look at him. "I said don't go back to your tribe. You don't need them. Stay with me instead."
He blinked a couple times.
"You said you were going on this quest to prove yourself to your tribe, but you don't have to prove anything to anyone. Besides, I can't stand the thought of you going back to a group of nasty orcs that treated you so poorly. They were terrible to you and they don't deserve to have you as a part of their group."
A soft smile of amusement slowly spread across Hongjoong's features.
"I have no plans to go back... not anymore." He responded. "Besides, I can't abandon my new girlfriend, can I?"
A small gasp left you, your eyes widening momentarily at the title. "Girlfriend?"
"We kissed, didn't we?"
"Well, yes," Your cheeks warmed as you recalled the memory. "but we never really made it official. You never asked me to be your girlfriend."
"Well, do you?"
Pressing your lips together to hold back a smile, you nodded. "Yes."
Hongjoong grinned at your acceptance.
"Oh. That reminds me, I have something for you." He reached for his bag.
"You do?"
"I couldn't figure out when to give it to you, but now seems like a good time."
You both slowed to a stop as Hongjoong rummaged for a moment before pulling out a messily-folded wad of fabric. He held it up and you watched as it unfurled itself, your breath catching in your throat at the reveal. It was the dress you were looking at in the clothing shop earlier that day.
"I saw you looking at it and I couldn't stop imaging what you'd look like in it." Hongjoong confessed, his pointed ears dusted pink.
You stepped forward and trailed your fingers along the soft fabric.
"I don't know what to say. Thank you."
"I was hoping you'd wear it on a date with me." Hongjoong's words were quiet, almost unsure as he uttered them. It was as if he expected you to say no.
"I would love that." You gleamed, clutching the dress.
The smile that overtook Hongjoong's features was so large it made his eyes crinkle up into crescent shapes.
Your dress was folded and placed back into his bag for safe keeping and your journey home continued, this time with Hongjoong's hand linked with yours.
"So, if I'm staying, does that mean I get to live with you?" He asked with a smirk as the two of you headed down the trail.
"Of course it does. You're stuck with me now."
"Hm. I like the sound of that."
Hongjoong started this journey with one mission in mind and that was to prove his worth to a tribe of orcs that saw him as nothing. Now, he's ended with a girlfriend, newfound confidence, reward money, and a new place to live where he would begin his own happily ever after.

50 things to do instead of binging!!
coming from personal experience from someone who has lost over 11 kg since I stopped binging a couple moths ago, these have worked for me
Remember binge urges don't last forever. It's difficult to resist them, but if you distract yourself or pass time, the urge can pass without the need for a binge. Stay strong, you can do it!
crafts:
Try embroidery/cross stitching
Make friendship bracelets, even better if it’s red (like the old ana bracelet lol)
Learn how to knit or crochet
Make a pompom
Learn how to make a bead lizard
Paint a clothing item with bleach
Make something out of clay/fimo/foam clay
Learn how to make a new origami design, there are plenty of instructions available
Try macrame, there are loads of easy instructions for it online
arts:
Paint, try painting with a different medium than usual to force yourself to concentrate harder
Draw something, you can use methods like the grid technique
Doodle! Try to fill an entire a4
Try to draw with crayons, have fun. For some reasons crayons make everything lower stakes for me
Make a children's story (not for actual kids though), write it and you can add pictures (bonus points if you make it disturbing)
Make a collage using old magazines, you can include motivational quotes
Make moodboards
Try making found poetry (for example with an old book or magazine)
ed-stuff:
Draw something, you can use your fave thinspo as a reference
Make yourself a diet/weight tracker for the next month (on paper or digitally) you can choose the theme of it yourself
write meanspo/sweetspo for yourself or find some
Try bullet journalling, you can make trackers for yourself (highly recommend one for not binging!)
Make your own motivational quotes, there are lists of “ana quotes” online, or you can go the funny route instead. A tip is to use lyrics from songs you relate to and adding a motivating picture as the background (maybe one day I’ll share my folder of these)
Write down your goals, make it look pleasing to you
Measure your circumferences with a measuring tape, you can write them down and compare later
Make an excel sheet where you can log stats and calories and stuff
Play with excel to make graphs of your weight loss or weekly intake! Lots of tutorials on how to make graphs, learning to use excel is a good distraction (has been really helpful for me to keep motivated and distracted)
Write a haiku/poem about your ed
Listen to triggering music
GROSSPO (ew maggots, mold and stuff like that)
Take bodychecks and compare to older ones
Watch other people binging instead of binging yourself
Calculate the calories of whatever you are craving, this always helps shock me and reconsider
Calculate your current bmr (base metabolic rate, you can calculate it online), calculate your bmr at your ugw too
self care:
Paint your nails/clip your nails. Toenails too
Take a shower or bath (seeing yourself naked helps a lot, and it helps pass time)
Put on a facemask
Do a foot soak
Try a new makeup look, it doesn’t have to look nice, you can even try to make the most ridiculous look ever
Apply body lotion throughout your entire body (again this helps you reconsider by making you self conscious)
get out of the situation and clear your head:
Go outside! And don’t take food or money with you. Just go outside to get yourself out of the situation making you want to binge
Take a walk, motivate yourself with cigs if needed (unless you're a minor). Or go sit and breathe in a forest or isolated area of a park
Go swimming! Yea in the summer, or in the winter. Ice swimming really helps shock your body out of binging
Exercise and do a workout, there are plenty of beginner friendly ones on for example youtube
learn new things:
Learn a new language, make the duolingo bird proud
Learn the alphabet in morse code! Or ASL!
Do your homework if you have any
Play with google translate and learn random phrases in random languages, or try to see what hilarious sentences you can come up with by translating several times
games and miscellaneous:
Play a video game, solitaire and firegirl and waterboy are my faves that are free through google, but find some you enjoy
Word searches! Or crosswords, or sudokus if that’s what you’re into, there are plenty online
Come up with your own list of 50 things to do instead of binging!! making your own list with things personal to you will help better

i’m someone who can’t get enough of (fake) stories from the time of cql shoot. so when i see a “story” that i haven’t before ( or maybe i did but forgot about it ), i get excited. lol. even if it’s not a juicy kind of information— i’m cool with it. 🤍 i like this one cause OP seems closer to wyb, it’s more of a short analysis of him & his relationship with XZ during that time.
the usual disclaimer: these are all fake and treat it as fanfiction. obviously, this content is for cpfs. if you don’t like it then scroll along. if you are somehow offended by stuff like this, it’s your problem. feel free to unfollow or block me.
i got the screenshots over here. enjoy!^^
W often catches up on sleep as soon as he gets on the car because he has a lot of engagements. He doesn’t talk much. Last year, he was not in good health. He had a cough and fever and went to get an IV drip at night. Many fans knew about it, so he talked even less in private. Later, I found that he talked a lot on the set. This is a matter of opinion. He needs to refresh himself when he is so tired.
But he does have a good relationship with X. He is not very outgoing, so he should not have many friends, but he is not the kind of person who really looks down on others and does not talk. Many times he does not know what to say (personal feeling hahaha), so he does not start a conversation. Some people are like this, thinking that it may not be meaningful to say it, so they do not say it. He has changed a lot in recent years, and this drama he has successfully made friends with X.
W didn’t communicate much with me. After all, we had never met before, so I could understand the distance. Once, I was discussing tomorrow’s arrangements with the coordinator. He had just finished shooting a scene and passed by me and suddenly asked me if I had a hemostatic patch (this is a consumable item in the crew, and I had just used it up and didn’t bring a new one). I was shocked. I said no, and he didn’t say anything and seemed to go to the bathroom. Later, I don’t know where he asked, but it was a very girly pattern. I feel that he may have asked around, but I didn’t see him use it. That day, I saw a new hemostatic patch on X’s leg, but it wasn’t the one that was used by the transporter?! When I was chatting with the coordinator, I found out that someone had given it to X first, and W saw it and quietly put away the one with the girly pattern. At that time, he had just joined the crew not long ago. Because we were really not familiar with each other, he might have felt that it was too obvious and a bit embarrassing.
W and X have a lot of scenes together. As the main characters, they interact a lot, much more than what is shown. X is not as talkative as the footage shows. On the contrary, he is a person who cares about other people's feelings. In the footage, we can only say that he was: 1. He fainted from the heat (he almost had a heat stroke), 2. He was too tired, and 3. He didn't expect that everyone would exaggerate it. W was the same. He was just joking and making faces, just like everyone would have some such pranks when they were in school. When he felt something was wrong, he quickly changed the subject.
The main reason was that it was really tiring and hot at that time. Every time I went to the scene, I felt that I could get a heat stroke at any time. They also wore long robes with wide sleeves, which was very hard (W didn't dare to eat too much to maintain the fairy feeling of the character) In short, although this matter fermented a lot, it did not have any substantial impact on the relationship between the two. At that time, the crew also knew that this was their childish behavior and was used to it. After all, they were like this all the time. The two are ordinary people who are more casual in private. If they have a good relationship, they will definitely play around, but they will not be fussy about such trivial matters. W's personality is very interesting. He will suddenly act weird and then return to being calm. When he acts weird, he acts seriously. When he is silent, he is serious. I later thought that this kind of personality may have something to do with his love of street dance, motorcycles, and skateboards. Whether it is physical, emotional, endurance, psychological quality or anything else, he wants to try to touch or even challenge the upper limit in all aspects. He is a true adventurer. Most of these people are quite opinionated. He also said that he is a male chauvinist and has a strong desire to control himself and the outside world.
A double-edged sword, not a weakness. Being serious is good, but it is always difficult for people to grasp the precise degree. If you exceed the limit, you will develop a conditioned reflex of vigilance, which will prevent you from revealing too much of yourself, and on the other hand, you will be wary of outsiders' attempts.
This kind of self-defense is actually related to his experience. One is that he left home very early to work hard, and the other is that he went to Korea for training. You must have heard about the trainee system there, which is fiercely competitive and full of intrigues, and it is easy to fail. Many young trainees don’t have much life experience. No matter how cautious they are at the beginning, they may not be able to play better than the older or Korean people. The habit of not offending others for many years has become one of his personality. I am not so familiar with W, so it is difficult to remind him, but I found that he has improved in his relationship with X. It is very subtle. It is generally a good thing. Hahaha. Maybe it is also due to experience. X’s past is relatively simple. He entered the circle a few years after graduating from college. Before entering the circle, it was relatively smooth. It’s not that he has never experienced setbacks and lows, but it is definitely not as shaky and cautious as W faced during adolescence. It directly changed a person. I believe that W is still a positive and enthusiastic person in his heart, but he doesn’t show it easily. He needs someone to guide him.
What I really found strange was one time when the two of them were standing on a downhill slope. The scene was built in a studio and was a bit high. X walked in front of W and slipped. There was a few steps between the two of them. W rushed forward in two steps and quickly grabbed X's waist. They both almost slipped. He intended to grab his arm with his fingers spread out, but he miscalculated and poked X's lower back. We shot that scene in two or three takes and it was passed. After that, W's hand was a little swollen. I found some ice cubes to apply to him and it stopped swelling, but it looked painful. There were still a few scenes that day, but he didn't tell me because he didn't want to delay the progress. He applied ice when he left the camera. Because he had to go to the hospital for an IV drip after work, I thought I would deal with it together.
The strangest thing about this incident was not his behavior, but that X did not see W come down to apply ice, and came over to ask if his hand was okay. W directly stretched out his hand to show him, twisting it vigorously, shaking his fingers flexibly, trying to prove that he was fine, but X grabbed his wrist and looked at it clearly. X said that it was swollen, and W said it was caused by the intravenous drip. X muttered a few words of doubt, and saw that there were indeed many needle holes on the back of W's hand. He believed it a little. I was about four or five meters away at the time.
The director often asked them to be more ambiguous. At the beginning, it was quite awkward because they were not familiar with each other, but it was fine after they got used to it. X made a lot of small moves, and W would shout his name when he couldn't stand it anymore. W was very smart and could find the door. He didn't lose to X at the beginning. It was forbidden to move. It was common for them to insult and fight each other.
Many people are talking about the drinking scene, so I'll share another one. After the day's shooting, W took off his makeup and walked unsteadily. After walking out of the studio, he was looking for something. I said the car was over there (the exit was narrow and the car was a little further away). He said he knew, and then he turned around and pounced behind me, which scared me. I subconsciously turned around and hid, and found that X also came out, but he hadn't taken off his makeup yet. W stuck to him like an octopus. X was also scared, and his wig was pulled by W, and X screamed in pain. His assistant came out the next second and quickly pulled W away. I reacted and supported W. X was not angry, and told me that W had secretly drunk some more later and might be really drunk, so he asked me to make some honey water for him to sober up. I said okay, thinking where would I find honey water in the middle of the night. W is very thin, but very strong. X's assistant couldn't pull him away completely.
I am a little anxious, but I can’t say anything, I can only worry.
X was in a good mood, and cheerfully patted him and said, "Isn't W laoshi known for not getting drunk even if he drinks a lot?"
W didn't refute, and hugged him so tightly that I felt X was about to suffocate, and then X said: "It's late, see you tomorrow." W let go as if he had suddenly lost his temper, reluctant to let go, wanting to look at X but not daring to. I don't know why, but I felt that he was a little sad.
X joked with him: "Go back after you graduate from kindergarten.
W said sullenly: "I will definitely beat you next time."
X changed his tone of voice and complained: "W wants laoshi to win everything. save me from losing a few times, okay?"
I went back to the hotel and asked X's assistant who the winner was. She said that the two of them competed to see who could talk in the other's ear without blushing, and the loser would drink a small sip. I was speechless. No wonder he rarely played mobile games last night, and went to sleep after chatting on WeChat (he got off work earlier yesterday). It turned out that he was saving his energy to play this today (wrong). I asked again, "No one took the photo (mainly referring to the fans who were waiting there.)" She said that it should not be possible, because the place where the two people were standing was difficult to take a photo.
-END.
