Also why did you decided to animate this comic? For practice? Simply because you want it? For revenge?

Also do you have any tipp for starter animaters how to start animating what kind of animations should they start with.

This is animated kind of for practice, kind of just because I think is fun and intresting to mix comic and animation, and yeah I guess a bit of revange, if thats the right word on this case cause there was another comic I wanted to do this with and chickened out of it (maybe the correct for of it would be avenge?🤔)

Now let me go into story mode:

When I was starting this au I was just gonna do One's concept design and the one scene that got stuck in my head: him dropping down for his introduction, and that was it

So I thought "I could make this an animatic" and I started storyboarding it on my sketchbook and then went "wait this is too much work, I don't wanna do it.... I'm gonna make it a comic" but there was That Shot that I had in mind and so clearly and I wanted to see it in motion so bad

Animation in comics is something that has gotten stuck in my head for close to a decade, long ago (in a galaxy far far away) I saw these zelda comics by Zac Gorman

I think it was the first time I saw a comic animated, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then I saw a gifset of the How to Train Your Dragon "Downed Dragon" scene with Hiccup walking on the forest and it was composed as a comic, but they were gifs of the movie, I think that's what settled it in my mind that I would want to tell a story that way at some point

But I didnt know how to animate or make comics

So I started practicing, one step at the time, I decided to start with making comics (I started drawing my httyd fic since it basically was already scripted, but I realized how complicated that was and gave up lmao)

I've used the putting some animation to comics before, in small forms and not that often, really, but I was practicing for that moment when I had a Big Story for me to tell in that medium. Thing I have now and I'm working on!

So I took on httyd comics again and used another au I had to practice long form comics and animation on comics with it. I realized at some point that I was biting more than I could chew and decided to tone it down and keep it to just comic, I would get the oportunity to practice animation-comic making at some other point

And so this au came in taking down my door

I used what I had storyboarded as thumbnails for the comic and decided to make some small bits with simple animation and That Shot fully animated frame by frame (the original idea I could never make it look good so I settled for something simpler, I still want to try and re-do that animation, not to change the comic, but just as a bonus mostly for myself)

So yeah

It's been for pratice when I finally get to do my original story (that I'm working on rn)

Just cause I want to cause it looks cools and I've been mening to do something like this for so long

And I'm avenging that first httyd comic I tried to do and kinda the current httyd comic cause I took out the animation of that one

As for tips for biginer animators?

I should say learn the animation principles since those are your bases, everyone hates doing the bouncing ball cause is boring but is actually a good start.

but honeslty? chose a guy and go nuts with it <- thats my tip of how to improve on anything art related, making fanart of httyd has gotten me this far

ok ONE more music ask bc i think this is the third one i’ve submitted for the new issue so far:

so i went back & read issue 37 while listening to “drunk walk home” by mitski (both the original and the live at palisades version), timing my reading with the listening so that certain panels & passages would line up with the right points in the song, and dear. fucking. LORD. i wanna make a rainhaze pmv with this so badly. the only question is which version of the song to use

so the best way i can explain it:

*drumbeat intro* - the title page

“i will retire to the salton sea/at the age of 23” - that comic panel at the beginning showing how much he changed

“for i’ve started to learn i may never be free/but though I may never be free/fuck you and your money/i’m tired of your money” - idk exactly how it’d line up with the issue but something something him being influenced by defiance & ranger, something something “you can love someone and still hate/hurt them”

*guitar picks up* - the canine realization and/or slug’s reaction to the murder reveal. some combination of the two.

“and i sit on the curb ‘cause it’s the prettiest night/with no one else in sight/don’t you know i wore this dress for you/these killer heels for you” - rain gets all defensive & tries to justify the murder with the sleep thing & the hypocrisy

“see the dark, it moves/with every breath of the breeze” (+ the buildup before the guitar solo) - “convince them…okay”

*guitar solo* - slug attacks him, big fight scene

and of course the screaming at the end correlates to him screaming as he’s gutted like a baked potato

As a Johnny Cash enjoyer I must say I do prefer his cover but of course I love Nine Inch Nails too. More dark and gritty does fit Rainhaze better.

I've never actually listened to or seen Repo, but it does seem like something that would be up my alley. It does fit him too, driving in what he's done and forcing him to remember killing Asphodelpaw.

Hello everyone!

☆Noodle post of the day consists of a series of more research for that Lackadaisy fan animatic I am working on (mentioned in previous posts w/my Sable and Rocky human designs!).

I've been working very hard!!! My storyboard is almost done ^^

☆The project is inspired by a song (i'll keep it as a surprise until I post hehe) and a short synopsis would be this: Sable has a rendez-vous with Mitzy at the Little Daisy Cafe, and Mitzy is running late. Rocky encounters him at the cafe and decides to try and spook him, telling him how dangerous Mitzy apparently is, so he could leave. In doing so, Rocky will break into his usual theatrics and do a whole performance, leaving Sable confused and very disturbed.

Its heavily inspired by some scenes seen in the comic and I thought the song was perfect for this scenario!!!! (Oh and I'll draw them as human)

☆Yesterday and today I've been working on choosing colour palettes for the backgrounds and characters. My goals are to make them reminiscent of the iconic colouring of Tracy Butler's comic panels, use 2 to 3 colours and really keep it simple (so I can stick w/them during the whole animatic).

Dont ask why but I've been STRUGGLING to draw his "human hair" for days haha- I spent a lot of time on it☠️ but I decided i'll keep something simple for the animatic (not the crazy perfect geometrical versions I have down there, those only serve as inspiration haha).

So- yes. Working very hard!! I'll keep posting my advancements here ♡ I won't lie, a bit of support and motivation would be greately appreciated😭it IS my first time doing a whole animatic.

Omggg finally watched the Ithaca Saga Premiere Party and MY HEART!!! T^T I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS.

I’m so glad Jay found people just as feral as he is about this musical. It is such a joy to see them all together and just so full of excitement.

The realization that Jay on his own during the watch parties was actually him HOLDING BACK his feralness, contrary to popular belief.

During Open Arms, all I can think of is Poseidon during Six Hundred Strike being like “Where is this guy’s off switch?” only to realize Polites was violently murdered by his own son. And the domino effect of that is now him getting violently stabbed by a half crazed Greek…

Everyone immediately switching from crew to Winions at the drop of a hat while Odysseus threatens them with his invisible sword!!!

Omfgggg the boar slap fight!!! And just the whole Athena rave. ꉂ (´∀｀)ʱªʱªʱª

sumoru - depressed (#1) our confessions happen at the end of an episode that is right before a hiatus for the show, just to leave everyone on their toes, and then after satoru dies 99% of the fandom is making sad edits and writing angst and drawing the saddest shit known to man

sugumer - also depressed (#2) only it's more bittersweet like after suguru dies there would be a fanart of us happy together with the caption 'in another life' or something like that. stsg coded except slightly less horrible i suppose

sumrei - the fanbase is half very chill and half very mean to + insulting towards us (/affectionate) and it's full of animations/animatics of us with audios from sitcoms

kirssum - hopeful for us for 90% of the show because in aot canon it's still love at first sight but us actually getting together is a slow burn that lasts until the end of the show vdmvkd and i almost die at some point (it's a fakeout so it seems like i actually did die and then i reappear episodes later) and then the fanbase is happy because me n jean kiss at the end of the show and have our happy ending the end <<333

🍾who confessed first, and how did it happen?

sumoru - satoru (technically because he kissed me first but that's in my first kiss post) but to sum it up we had our first smooch at a party and then the next day we talk about it and he confesses :3

sugumer - suguru...i was a little intimidated by his completely ethereal and godlike beauty and his playful/flirty personality </3 so i was second-guessing if he was serious or not and therefore nervous to confess, and he ends up teasing a confession out of me (something like this):

sug: what, do you like me or something ? haha (with his arm around my shoulders and leaning into me🫣) sum: no... sug: aw, really? because i really like you.

sumrei - me. tried throwing out hints because we were already fucking, got into an argument at his place once before we were supposed to sleep together, i called him an asshole and reigen asked "well why do you keep coming around me then?" and i went "because i like you. asshole."

kirssum - jean, i fear i am not good with confessions in most universes and he liked me for a long time (years) so at our at the end of hs, he confessed to me when we were alone and our dates had either ditched us or just weren't around

saisum - mee :33 it was short n sweet and totally spontaneous. okay imagine at the end of a manga chapter after whatever action/drama happened and we're just chilling on the floor reading manga or playing video games in sai's apartment and we start talking about how everyone (king, bang, genos, f*buki) keep trying to matchmake us. and then in the last panel it's just:

sum: wanna get together, then? sai: sure :D end

sumhan - hangeeee :333 we hang out a lot, often alone, and over time tension has built between us until one day after me n hange have been out all day, we're outside looking at the sunset and it's quiet and serene and they just drop the confession out of the blue. and i have the most "😀???" look on my face because it caught me totally off guard and hange starts panicking and then i start panicking and trying to tell them it's alright because i feel the same way and we start laughing (levi is staring at us from nearby but he can't hear the conversation, just thinks we're bein goofballs again)

susasu - me <3 because they display the worst homoerotic tendencies ever so i'm like "oh they're together" and our rs changes in a subtle but noticeable way which leads to a conversation (confrontation?) initiated by satoru which kind of forces the confession out and they confess right after

Hi! I'm so sorry it took me so long to answer this ask, and also thank you for sending me an ask in the first place! I love answering questions, even if it takes me a bit to respond :3

I agree with you, Lazari deserves better. I mean like, even her own creator did her dirty man, SHE HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! Her concept is so cool and her own comic did her SO DIRTY. I hate the treatment she gets from fans too.

Yeah I get it her comic was terribly written and was the origin of the 'I HAVE CRAYONS AND PAPER!!!!!' meme and the characters were poorly written and the lore was inconsistent and the fanservice was weird and the story/tone was ALL OVER THE PLACE. But like, don't take it out on my baby Lazari please she deserves better.

I wanna do some more silly headcanons of her this time around, I might make a separate post on more serious stuff about her ;)

So, let's get cracking!

Lazari Headcanons!

-She's on the Autism Spectrum, diagnosed and all :3. She also has ADHD, also diagnosed! She's the representation we deserve to see in this fandom lol.

-She's Chibiworks. Okay, let me explain:

SO, when Lazari first came into the Mansion, she was just an 8 year old girl with demonic tendencies who was abused by her hyper-religious mother who hated her. She hated herself, she was shy, and she believed that she was nothing more than a monster, a mistake. But all of a sudden she goes from that to the DAUGHTER OF THE EMPEROR OF THE UNDERWORLD, a literal DISNEY PRINCESS (cuz yk she's his daughter), and now she literally lives in a Magical Forest in a Magical Mansion of Serial Killers, Ghosts and Demons.

She thought that the world around her was super interesting considering she never got to see much of the outside. She loves drawing, so she drew about it. She drew about the potential greater stories unravelling around her, making her own characters based on concepts she learnt about whilst exploring.

She made I Eat Pasta for Breakfast as a way of letting her imagination go wild around this new environment she found herself in. She made characters to interact with the people that already existed, and gave them purposes.

(Btw, several of the weird stuff and the not kid-appropriate scenes in the comic are retconned out of this version.)

She also made Creepy Frozen Pasta, just saying. She also wrote The Seer. She wrote every Creepypasta comic in existence. Found a cool Creepypasta comic series? Lazari wrote it.

-She LOVES drawing. Her artstyle is very much manga-inspired and she loves creating her own OCs, which are littered throughout her work. A lot of them are directly based on concepts, such as many of Zalgo's followers in IEPFB being based on the idea of Zalgo having a cult of personality around him.

-She's definitely an animation meme kid. I'm deffo self-projecting but she is the DEFINITION of the weird kid. She makes animation memes of everyone in the mansion. She makes animatics of actual stuff that happened. She makes amateur dubs of her own comics.

-Manga is her biggest hyperfixation. She collects TONS of them, and directly draws panels from her favourite manga to improve her drawing skills. Her favourite Manga series of all time is Fruits Basket :3. Her room is basically just all of her drawing scattered around the place.

She specifically likes Horror and Shoujo anime, despite the fact that they're basically polar opposites. Alongside Fruits Basket, she really likes Madoka Magica!

-She definitely makes AMVs of her favourite animes. She deffo writes terribly written fanfiction about her favourite anime couples kissing and giggles whilst writing it.

-She's also a Gacha Life kid FUCKING FIGHT ME SHE DEFINITELY MAKES GACHA OCS. She definitely stays up until 2am with Sally watching 'Hated Child turns into Hybrid Princess' videos. Lazari gasps in shock every single time and Sally is just sitting there extremely confused.

-Sally is her best friend. She lore-dumps to Sally all the time about her special interests, and Sally listens intently and nods along. She even writes notes about the lore of her favourite series! Sally is a super supportive best friend, and any time any of the ghost kids make fun her for her autistic behaviour she puts them in their place.

-Despite this, the two of them argue a lot, because they're kids and just of course they do. Fun fact! The reason why Sally only appears like once in IEPFB is because Lazari initially wrote her in, then the two got into a fight and she took her out of the story. They made up soon after but Lazari thought it would be too awkward to add her back in and Sally just accepted it.

-She has a very unorthodox form of common sense. With that I mean she has none at all. Once the mansion was on fire, and Slender screamed at her to get up and evacuate. Her reaction? She told him to leave her alone and let her sleep.

-She really likes Vocaloid, and her favourite Vocaloid isn't even a Vocaloid. Her favourite, uh, singing bank, is Kasane Teto! She claims that her robotic voice (before the SynthV AI transfer) was pleasant to her ears.

-Her favourite Vocaloid Song is Kasane Territory, because of the animation meme of course >:D.

-She also definitely tried to make a Storytime Youtube Channel but everyone in the Mansion made her delete it because she was sharing personal information about them all. Like genuinely she'd be like 'SO THE OTHER DAY MASKY AND HOODY WERE ON A MISSION FOR SLENDERMAN AND THEY KILLED THIS ONE GIRL WHO LIVES AT THIS ADDRESS IN THIS STATE'.

She has like zero concept of Internet Safety.

-She's a massive Melanie Martinez fan. She got Sally into her music, and back when Melanie Martinez was like just getting popular she'd sing all of her songs super loudly in the shower. Once Slenderman referred to the house as a 'Dollhouse' and Lazari screamed 'DOLLHOUSE BY MELANIE MARTINEZ? HEY GIRL, OPEN YOUR WALLS, PLAY WITH YOUR DOLLS-'.

-She used to be a massive Roblox kid in 2017 and was also an MSP kid. Christ she was on so many virtual worlds, she was even on Animal Jam sort of.

-Fanon Masky, Hoody and Toby were invented by her. Fanon Masky was made PURELY out of spite for him. The first time they met was not pleasant, as he called her a brat. Lazari vowed to humiliate him in every way possible from that point forward. She found out that he hated children, hated Slenderman, hated Cheesecake, hated the texture of Crayons, and hated jokingly being called a twink by Toby.

All of that combined? You got the Crayon-having, Cheesecake-eating, Skinny, Scrawny, Slenderman dick-riding Fanon Masky that we all know and love. The other residents found out about this strange new version of him and it became so popular she drew individual fanarts of him and handed it to all of the residents. Even Slenderman has a picture of Cheesecake Masky on his Office Wall. Somehow Masky didn't find out about this until a long time after the fad ended.

In my AU Hoody is a selective mute who doesn't verbally communicate with anyone besides the Proxies, so he was deathly silent when he first met Lazari. She misunderstood this as him just being shy and so Shy UwU boy Hoody was made.

Fanon Toby is just a sarcastic persona Toby puts on to piss other people off. She misunderstood this as his REAL personality and alongside the waffles thing that Jeff and Ben always mentioned (Toby stopped liking Waffles long before Lazari came), Fanon Toby was made.

-She made the Dollmaker (yeah he exists) make her plushies of everyone in the Mansion + The Zalgo and a few of her OCs. What does she do with them, you may ask? She roleplays with them with Sally. They've made a bunch of random ships with this, and now they're both avid Slender x Zalgo shippers. They also ship EJ with a lot of people as he has such a versatile personality, but they mainly like EJ and Jeff.

Lazari also found out that Masky was sort of intimidated by Nurse Ann so she shipped them very vocally in front of him.

-She's a massive Sanrio-girl, and her favourite character is My Melody :D. She's watched the entirety of Onegai My Melody at least like sixteen times already.

-She tried to learn Japanese, and failed miserably. She can sometimes read Hiragana if Kagekao writes it really carefully.

-Her own handwriting is really terrible, almost illegible. It's a gift to be able to read anything she writes.

-She's a part of the Mansion's Literature Club, and Ben nicknames her the Natsuki of the club, as she's always insisting that Manga is literature.

-She argues with Slender, as he believes that comics and Manga shouldn't be considered literature, as they're all pictures and barely any words. Lazari TO THIS DAY debates him about it.

-About her demonic urges, they're manageable as long as you give her a random body part to chew on every once and a while. She doesn't lose her control like she once did when she first came, and she's not as dangerous anymore. She's like a saint compared to EJ.

-As she's a half-demon, she has some godly amount of brute force strength. She can carry someone thrice her size and force open any door, no matter how many locks are on it.

She also has an incredibly high pain tolerance. Once she got scratched up pretty bad by EJ when he was in a particularly bad Demonic State, the girl didn't even notice until Lulu noticed.

-About Lulu, she was actually assigned to show her around when she first arrived at the Mansion! Lulu had told Slender earlier that she wanted to take charge of whoever came after her, and has a really good relationship with Lazari. She's one of Lazari's favourite people.

-Her relationship with her dad is...strange. On one hand when she does get to visit they generally have a nice time, however due to how much she reminds him of his deceased little sister, sometimes he'll accidentally call her 'Lily', which dampens the mood a little bit.

-Stripes ADORES her. The two sisters are very close and Stripes just loves her so much, she even made her her Teddy Bear that she's famous for carrying around :3.

-She had a phase where she called herself an irl Yandere. Thankfully she stopped after like a month but it was very funny lol

-She loves Nightcore! And Trance Music, oddly enough. One of her favourite songs is 'Be Alive!' By Stian K. (Search up the song. If you recognise the song from a certain animation meme of her then you deserve all of my respect).

-Her favourite food is Chocolate Strawberries.

Okay, if you want to ask some more serious lore-related questions then go right ahead and I'll answer! I just have so much of Lazari since she was one of my comfort characters when I was little and first got into Creepypastas. I see a lot of myself in her and I'm so peeved that the fandom either completely ignores her or dislikes her, like she's got so much potential! She's an incredibly important character in my AU actually, and one day I'll make a post detailing her correlation with the greater story :3

as a writer I can attest to how annoying it can be for people to say “wow ur so talented its in ur genes I could never”- which is why I’m not using the word talented here. some of u out there did probably start out with some semblance of skill, but to all of you who just put hours into your work to become whatever level of godlike beings you are- holy SHIT. you guys are cool. I’m insanely impressed.

and even to those of u who haven’t practiced ur craft for hours!! to those of u who just wanna make smtg about the characters u like and have no real interest in like art as ur life- that’s super cool too!!! it really inspires me that u guys found smtg u loved so much that u created a version of how u view it

Hello ! What software do you use to draw your comics? And your animations? Have you some advice for those like me who want to start a webcomic?

I use the ibispaint app, it's free for anyone who wants to give it a go ^^

For my animatics I draw them in Ibis frame by frame and put them in Video Maker and set their speed each to 1 or 2 seconds so it looks like they're moving lol

As for advice for a webcomic, im not that great at giving advice but I'd say just look around at other webcomics people have done and see what comic styles suit you best. Some comics use frame dividers and boarders, while others, like my comics, are more open. When I first started making digital Mewtwo comics I liked how @xxtc-96xx's style was open and that the panels in their comics are different sizes and shapes and aren't restricted to a square frame like most comics, I thought that style suited me best cause I have the tendency to draw things bigger or smaller than intended sometimes XD so not having to worry about fitting a drawing inside a limited space proved to be better for my art style, I'm able to make the panels as big as I want without worrying about staying inside boarders lol so yeah if you wanna start making comics, then make sure you choose a comic format you like.

Just Some Ideas

So I have a couple of projects I WANT to do, but probably won’t any time soon. 

- Short animation of Bakugou to the first 40 seconds of “If I Had You” by Adam Lambert. Mostly ‘cause I wanna make Bakugou wear eyeliner

- Character designs and some comic panels for a BNHA Siren!AU very much based on the world of Sirens Lament by instantmiso on Webtoons. Thinking a Bakudeku kind of thing. Slow burn. Like. Put that shit in the crockpot and leave it, it’s gonna take a LOOOOOOOOOONG time level slow burn. Mild Tododeku. 

- BNHA SOUL EATER AU CAUSE WHY THE FUCK NOT!!! ( My friend @fandom-trash95 and I were discussing this, we almost have the whole cast figured out????)

- Medicate Animatic for my OC Rowan

- Painting/drawing/whatever of Iida piggy backing Midoriya ‘cause they’re late to class, Todoroki just surfing on his ice in the background. Maybe Bakugou ahead of them??? Just. Them being dumb kids using their quirks in dumb ways.

I rehearsed World End quite a bit today. I'm hella worried my boss won't give me that Friday off ;--; I already warned Teppong about it. But I didn't know 2 of my coworkers were gonna call out. GAH. WHY YALL??? I REALLY wanted to do some run throughs with him before the competition at 7 on Friday. I hope my boss can let me home extremely early. I'll just have to explain that I have been planning this for months & I am in a duet performance so I need to be there at lear 2 hrs prior to showtime. I might just have to wear my cosplay makeup to work & change into my cosplay/wig at the con :/! -But I want to pat myself on the back for my vocals today because I haven't been this strong in my game in a good while. Though I should practice singing while walking /dancing aroundso I can practice my performance stamina & vocal control. Lowkey I wanna see if I can SPINZAKU sometime during the song xD hahah! I wish I could have recorded my vocals today but gAH. I gave myself a nice surprise sounding really nice today👍🏼. Also the Code Geass marathon has been fun & just really getting me in that mood. Season 1 left me hangin with that cliffhanger & the new characters in Season 2 are really fun. I'm scared for everyone 8) eheh!

I am probably gonna get my Ashford Academy blazer commission in the mail soon too ;u; the kind person who is making it for me is putting lotta love and care into it & I really appreciate it. I was gonna buy a full cosplay back in early November but the sizing charts were so confusing. At least this time I will have it specifically customized for me QuQo!Hopefully my Suzaku wig arrives soon so I can style it. I need em so I can do a full dress rehearsal.

The only things that I recently bought that have arrived in the mail are my Cecil LED green crown, my green gloves, & the Utapri badges for the music video courtesy of Tyrest (gawd I love that mans) QuQ 💖! Today I ordered some maracas for Reiji (cuz they requested it ^u^) And I am currently on the hunt for a plastic tea set for the music video as well as as some mugs maybe. And I need to find some empty boxes to 🎁 wrap and use as props too. There are a few cut scenes I wanna film for the MV. I need to sketch out the "storyboard" . Maybe I can make an lowkey animatic so the guys know what we will be filming, As much as I wanna do the full version of "Shining Star Xmas", I dunno if we can fit EVERYTHING we wanna do in a day (well half a day cuz two members have a meetup with a different group in the morning & I believe a few are doing a panel?) We have 12 characters so creating scenes with everyone will be easy ^_^b! This is my first time managing a cosplay group but they are all so kind and sweet & I want to make sure we all have a good time ^^💚!

Story Art - Thumbnail Sketches and Panels for Inanimate Objects - 06/10/20

For today’s story art lecture, we looked at the one idea that we really loved from yesterday’s session of ‘2D Concept Design’ for the ‘Inanimate Objects Project’ and began to flesh out the sequence using a certain amount of panels at a time. To add onto this, we also used a sharpie to sketch our drawings out so that it would speed our process up as well as committing to each stroke we made on the page.

The first example we went through was going through a three panel story board of our idea as we had to sum up the story in three shots as well as including a wide, medium and close up shot. With my idea focusing on a pen trying to murder a coffee cup in a horror setting; I first used an establishing shot as my wide shot to establish whats on the desk and where the cup and pen are positioned, then used a medium shot to show the pen stabbing the pen and lastly a close up shot of the cup being holed up with liquid spilling out of it whilst the pen hops away form the shot. Looking back on the 3 Panels I made, I think the story is clear to see and visulaise what happens in each shot and what happens for the conflict and the aftermath. Although there were some ideas I wanted to change after this story board from how the pen approaches and stabs the coffee cup.

This is where the six panel story board task came in as it was designed to flesh out our 3 panel story board by adding 3 more panels to make the story easier to read. For myself, I wanted to change slightly how the pen approaches the cup before it stabs it which is why the first three panels are mostly the same except where the pen reveals itself and its murderous intent. The change I did was the perspective of the cup as it see the pen approaching it as the cup is looking straight ahead of the pen as it comes closer and closer to the cup to the point where you can see the pen tip. I definitely think these panels were a whole lot better compared to the previous board however even doing the six panel board, I wanna almost start over again as I have a slightly different way that the pen could approach the cup. 

The last couple of things we did in the lecture was being put into groups and try and make the other person tell their story out to you and help visulaise what they created using only the descriptions they had for their three panel storyboards. This I really enjoyed as it not only got me to see what other people’s ideas were about, but also help improve my imagination skills by listening to other peoples descriptions and making me visulaise what they mean from them. Afterwards, we all received feedback on our 6 panel storyboard which everyone seemed to really enjoy as well as seeing that I was very clear to follow. One bit of feedback that I received that made me definitely want to redo the sequence and make again for the animatic was instead of the pen holder being in the distance with the cup close at the frame, it would be better to have the pen holder right in front of the camera with the coffee cup really small and the pen being very large in the shot. This bit of feedback definitely helped me kick start how I might want the pen to approach the coffee cup before its murdered off.

In conclusion, I’m really glad to have this session as its helped me to understand what I’m going to do for the project as well as learning how to storyboard an idea and help expand upon it as this process is something I want to do for future projects.

SVTFOE PART

During his first auditions for the role Daron was impressed by how good Adam was at making “fighting sounds”. He thanked his years of martial arts for that.

- When Adam had to come up with a voice for Marco, having seen his pictures, he thought that he looked like a “kid with a sweet demeanor who sort of wants to be a bad boy”, and he essentially used what’s his normal voice, with a higher pitch.

- Adam sometimes feels like he’s reliving his teenage years by voicing Marco, and said that when he read the script for Sleepover he was shocked to see the piano scene, since he essentially did the same to impress the girls over at his house for his sister’s sleepovers. 

- Adam had to audition to voice adult Marco in Running With Scissors, and Daron and the voice director wanted a madmax-like voice, for a Marco worn out by the land.

- Adam liked how

ending got the viewers wondering about Marco, what being mentally 30 but back in his old body and life meant to him. He says that he knows something about that

"because I recorded something..."

- Adam asked Daron, about Running With Scissors, “What the heck what is going to happen to my poor little cinnamon roll, is he 30 what is happening to this guy?!", to which she answered that “I like to think that he has like, you know, maybe he- it's almost like a dream you know, you wake up from a dream, but the further away from a dream like the harder it is to remember, but something can happen and you are like 'Oh, remember that dream I had?'”. [Along with the confirmation from the SDCC panel that Adult Marco is going to be seen again in S3, and what Adam said in the previous point, it’s possible that, at some point, something is going to trigger in Marco’s memories of what he learned during his years of questing? Or remember something that happened, flashback style? Ride Nachos again?]

- Adam is still doing ADR [re-recording lines over the final animation of the episode, either to change or fix the timing, or to improve them] for S3 episodes, but they already recorded the animatic lines for the first S4 episodes

- They usually record episodes twice, the first time with the animatic, or even just the storyboards; the second time once the animation is done, to change lines and improve others, during the ADR process. 

- He feels like the show started changing, getting deeper with a overarching plot, in S2, and it just gets “even more insane” from there.

- Adam feels like Daron is extremely good at being objective when writing the show, not giving in to “fanservice” but exploring different routes to better explore the characters, and that in the end she’s going to make everyone happy. But he’s not a writer, so he doesn’t care and he just ships Starco all he wants. “They deserve eachother”.

- Daron and the voice director encourage Adam in improvising lines, and they know that he knows Marco’s character well. But they still occasionally asks him to redo lines “sticking to the script, this time”.

- (talking about Star and Marco watching a horror movie together)

Oh my gosh, Star would be totally into it, she'd be like:

"What's the big deal, why is this guy scared, why don't they just hit him with I don't know, a cupcake blast!" 

and Marco would be like:

"Uuh Star, uuuh... I think we need to turn this off. Did you hear something in the kitchen? Oh no, what are we gonna do!"

- He has a easy time staying in character for the livechats, and being live is not difficult, as he already did that while S1 aired, when he did the Periscope commentaries to episodes.

- If Adam were a writer he’d like to see Marco and Star being put in more tight spot and difficult situations that would force them to grow, and allow the viewers to know more about them. He made the example of a situation that’d test his loyalty for Star.

- Adam feels like the hardest episodes to record were either the S2 finale, or the S3 premiere, since there were a lot of emotional moments and there was a lot of pressure to do those right.

- He loved doing the meet up with fans at the boba tea shop in San Diego, with Daron, this July, before the Comicon

- Adam would love to see a Dìa de los Muertos themed holiday episode.

NON STRICTLY SVTFOE PART

- Adam started martial arts at 11, and started studying acting at 16. According to his parents he always asked them for two things: to do martial arts, and to have an agent. 

- He feels like he’s a “physical” voice actor, he finds the characters he needs to voice in “his body”.

- His favorite boba tea, and the one he almost always takes, is honey green tea.

- He can’t say anything about the character(s) he voiced in Far Cry 5, just that “the part that I play is the part in the videogame that when I play videogames I'm always not very nice to.”

Q - Martial arts in common with Marco, you kind of implanted in the character? A - Would be totally  awesome if I could take credit of that on the creator side, but I absolutely can't. That's how Marco was written from the very beginning. Daron Nefcy, the creator of the show, who is phenomenal, she- yeah, that was just how Marco was written. There was a moment during muy very early audtions before I officially got the part where I had to go in with Eden Sher, who voices Star, and we had to read some stuff together, and there were some fighting scenes and I just had to do what I've done my whole life, make fight sounds and stuff, and Daron was like "Wow you are like really goo at that!" and I was like "I hope so I've been doing martial arts like my whole life". I can't take any credit but it was definitely awesome.

Q - Techniques to create voices (impressions...) A - I feel like I'm a very physical voice actor, I like to find a character in my body and kind of embody them, so I think that's my go to.

Q - How did you find Marco's voice? A- I saw a picture of Marco very early on, and he just had this sort of like -- really sweet demeanor, but he sort wanted to be like a bad boy. It just felt like - it was very easy to find Marco's voice, it just felt right at home, like a little bit higher than my normal voice range, and yeah, it's- it's so weird Marco and I have so much in common. It's like I'm reliving my life as a 14 years old through the show, I'm like- I mean Star, they're like [does quote unquote sign] "best friends" when the Sleepover episode happens, when she has all her girl friends over but- I have siblings, my lil' sister would have her friends sleep over and I'd like [mimics Marco playing the piano in Sleepover] "Hey ladies" you know, trying to play it cool, and it's totally Marco, I looked at Daron and I was like "Are you kidding me?"

Q - Did you also do the voice for grown up Marco [in Running With Scissors]? A - I totally did, yeah. I walked in one day, and I already read the script at the time, so I was like "Oh my gosh we're going to see 30 years Marco" and it never occurred to me that maybe I wouldn't voice adult Marco. I got in there and we read through the script, and I recorded all of regular age Marco's stuff, and then they were like "Ok so, we wanna see if you maybe can do adult Marco also", and at that moment I was like "Oh my gosh, I have to auction to be me!" I can't let someone else voice me! [missing] so they described what they wanted adult Marco to sound like, they wanted him to sound sort of like Madmax, this madmax inspired adult Marco who has been worn out by the land, just had all this rough experience [does adult Marco voice] and it was cool from my side of the glass watching Daron and Kelly Ward, who is the voice director who is amazing, that guy speaks actor, he's so cool, watching their faces, "Who was that?!" and I'm like "I don't know where that came from, came from deep down but I had to pull it from somewhere 'cause there can only be one Marco", so yeah, that episode, Running With Scissors, it's probably one of my favorite episodes I've recorded for Star, because it's just- you know, getting to do all that in one episode, it's just like.

Q - There's a little bit of Rick & Morty nihilims thrown there at the end A - yeah what I liked about it is that it raises the stakes without being like- I don't know, you're left not knowing, "so does that mean he's back in his 14 years old body, but he's actually 30, and you've seen the bit with the password where we are just kinda "Wait he forgot his password what does that mean", like "oh my gosh!", but at the same time in episodes after that like you only see maybe little glimpses of it, so you don't really know, but I know, 'cause I've recorded something, so... [asker compares it to the ending of Jumanj i] Yeah yeah, and I think that like, actually, you know... when I record episodes I usually record each episode twice, I'll go in and I'll record to an animatic, sometimes there's not even an animatic yet, or just drawn pictures, and then I'll go a second time and I'll do ADR, but besides those two- so ADR I've seen some of the episodes, but not a lot of the script has changed, then I don't actually get to see a lot of the animated episodes until it airs, so there are times when the vision that ends up being created, like what I see on TV versus what I recorded, is so different that I'm like "Oh my- I can't believe", and with that episodes specifically I asked Daron "what the heck what is going to happen to my poor little cinnamon roll, is he 30 what is happening to this guy!" and she was like "I like to think that he has like, you know, maybe he- it's almost like a dream you know, you wake up from a dream, but the further away from a dream like the harder it is to remember, but something can happen and you are like 'Oh, remember that dream I had?'" and I was like "Yeah that is a great way to describe that, I like that."

Q - For you as a voice actor when was the point that there's something more going on in the show, that this is not all just shenanigans and like there's something deeper to the show? A - I think that when we started recording Season 2 of the show I was like oh, we're getting to see something that it's not normally done, it's not like the norm for animation - I mean we are seeing some shows now that are kinda moving toward a throughline plot and we're getting to go deeper with the characters and the story and it's not like just crazy one off episodes, but I'd say S2 is when the over series arc started forming for Star, and that's how you get all ages watching. Is you have those deep nuggets that make people wanna come back and keep watching and root for characters, "do they get together or not, get together, do this thing or that thing", you know. So yeah, S2. Definitely the turning point. And it's all getting crazier, it's just like- it's insane we- I'm still doing ADR on S3, but I've started already recording the first couple of episodes in S4, so I know all of it, all the secrets, and I'm not saying nothing!

Q - [joking, talking about spoilers] Tell me about Starco Adam! You have to tell me! A - Never! But I'd say that the question I get on social media more often than any other else is "Is Starco canon?"... and I'll never tell you, you have to wait and find out.

Q - It's kind of obligatory, I was going to ask- you've kinda said in the past that you do ship Starco. Now has that changed, because with the beginning of S3 we are in a very different place that we were in S2, and all of the character have grown and evolved and they're not the same people that they were when the show started. So do you still feel the same? A - I do. Actually I'm like die hard Starco, everyone is going to freak out. Yeah, no no, I think that these two characters just like... deserve to have eachother you know, it's so cute, I'll hold on to that until the end. I mean you know look, Daron is the best at not committing one way or the other, and for the creator of the show I think that's absolutely important 'cause she's willing to explore all avenues, and not just, you know, do a bunch of fan service, but actually service the story properly, and in the end I think that's going to make everyone happy, but I'm not doing that, I ship Starco all I want. I don't write the show!

Q - talking about the process of recording during animatics, and the ADR, for the most part people have to stick with the script, but some writers and voice directors are open to their actors contributing, do they let you improv? A - I am a rule follower, see me and Marco have a lot in common, I listen to my director and to the people I get to work with creatively, I want to help them create their vision, with this show specifically they totally encourage improv, at this point they know that I know Marco, and I throw in lines, usually- we kinda talked about it earlier with the ensamble, Star we actually record alone, so a lot of times in the early stages I'll, I'll give them three in a row of the line, but I'll usually throw in a fourth [missing part] but yeah they encourage and they totally let me play, sometimes they are like "Ok that's good but, let's do this again and this stick stick- stick with the script", you know, sometimes they're like "Oh my gosh, why didn't we write it like that!"

Q - Disney has been doing quite a bet with SVTFOE, they actually have to do quite a few live events in character! Is it kind of difficult to just stay in the character for an extended period of time? A - It's really not! It's something like, since the beginning of Star, even before Disney started doing livechats, I would basically go after an episode and do a Periscope where I'd watch an episode with fans, I wasn't doing it as Marco, I was just doing it as myself, but the live thing doesn't- I'm totally fine, I feel very close to the fans of the show, I love it, I have a lot of fun in livechats. The software that goes into making those livechats is incredible, I'm essentially sitting behind a computer, and the facetime camera is tracking my face, and I'm basically controlling Marco like a videogame, and every time we go in the promo department of Disney XD, who are all amazing, are like "Oh we added a new thing he has karate chop action this time!" and I'm like "Yes! I want to play the karate chop!"

Q - You've got the opportunity to talk with fans at conventions, do you have like a favorite fan interaction moment? A - Yeah, I'm super grateful any interaction I get with fans, I feel so fortunate that people gravitate so heavily toward the show and want to talk to me- yes, this past comicon I actually planned a- you need to know this about me, I love Boba Tea, I'm obsessed with boba tea, so I decided that this year at Comicon, I was getting a lot of messages about, you know, Comicon's insane, people can't get tickets, and you know, the fans of the show some of them are younger, their parents can't get them out to Comicon, I talked to Daron and I was like "How about we do an unofficial fan meet up at a boba shop in San Diego", we do like, you know, a hundred people, cap it, we'll take some RSVP, and we'll just buy everyone a boba. So we did that, in July, and it was amazing, it was super awesome. We wanted to make sure everyone was prepped, we wanted everyone to know that no pressure, we're just hanging out. I was nervous that no one was going to come, then in like 10 15 minutes all the RSVP were gone, so I was like "I guess I should call the boba shop and let them know that it's official".

Q - Best Boba they have on the menu? A - I'm a creature of habit so honeygreen tea is my favorite, I always go for honeygreen tea.

Q - Are you planning to do another meet up when next year's comicon rolls around? A - I think so, why not. I'm like such a long term planner, I think so far ahead, that I have like this vision, of doing a boba meet up tour across the United States, where boba shops have me come and we do fan meet ups in cities across the world. Like how cool would that be, let's do this, boba places!

Q - [ask about Adam voicing an evil gingerbread man in Krampus] A - That was one of those wild audition where they literally give you no direction, they are like "German jibberish in high pitched voice", I'm like "...okay". So I gave it a go, [missing part] and the boot director at my agency was like "Yeah, you did it, I don't know" and I was like "Yeah... I'll never hear anything for this" while I walk out of the room, and then like a week later it's like "oh you are booked for this movie" and I'm like all right. [they keep talking about the movie]

Q - You've got quite a few things coming up in the future, but one of the big ones is Far Cry 5, coming out in 2018. Is there anything you can tell us about your character? A - I'm so sorry, I cannot. I feel like I signed an NDA that I signed an NDA, I'm just not allowed to talk about it, literally all we're allowed to say is that I'm part of it. I can tell you that the part that I play is the part in the videogame that when I play videogames I'm always not very nice to. So I'm very excited to get Far Cry 5 and just mess with me, so that's all I'll say, no specific information has been given out, Ubisoft.

Q - with videogames they actually have the voice actors doing the motion capture for the character, were you able to do any? A - Yeah, no, not this project, it was- this project was kind a typical audition and booking process [missing part] it took about seven eight months to find out it was for Far Cry 5, I was like guessing "Oh my god this is Assassin's Creed!" but they finally announced it and I got an email "Congrats you worked on Far Cry 5" and I was like when, when was that, I did that?!

Q - Are you a big videogames fan? A - I love videogames, I'm like a big first person shooters fan

Q - [question sent via chat to the channel] Star and Marco watching a horror movie, how would that go down? A - Oh my gosh, Star would be totally into it, she'd be like "What's the big deal, why is this guy scared, why don't they just hit him with I don't know, a cupcake blast!" and Marco would be like "Uuh Star, uuuh... I think we need to turn this off. Did you hear something in the kitchen? Oh no, what are we gonna do!", you know, it's totally their dynamic.

Q - If you did get to sit down in the writers room, what would want to see for Marco's character development in S3? A - I mean, I'd love to see him. Ok I got to think about what I recorded that I can't talk about, what we actually have in the airing of the episodes. I mean, getting to see him and Star put in different situations that kinda force them to grow, and being put in though spots to see how they'd react I think it'd be really fun, uh, you, whether that means like they kind of- you know the whole first season obviously they're living at homw with mom and dad, same with the second season, now season 3 began and we are on Mewni, like we don't know where we're gonna end up and all that stuff, but I think seeing him put in some difficult situations where maybe it tests his loyalty to Star, or something like that might be really fun to explore, things where we get to know him even better.

Q - We have a lot of people in the livechat crying for Princess Marco's return A - Oh yeah princess Marco, it's so funny. Recently there was a twitter poll about what merch people would like to see, and the overwhelming answer was Princess Marco dolls, so who knows, fingers crossed.

Q - Which episode was the most challenging to record? A - I'm going to say the season 3- either the season 2 finale or the season 3 premiere. The S3 premiere was obviously a four part episodes combined into a movie, but you know we got to see really emotional moments and wanting to do those justice made it like, you know, there was just a lot of pressure.

Q - [talking about incoming projects for Adam] A - [...] we're prepping for this November launch of the rest of S3 so the ADR are coming in quick and we are kicking butt to get all these episodes ready, and I know the crew is going in hard to get all the episodes ready, so the biggest thing coming the soonest. So you know we're going to get excited about all the other stuff later, but the thing everyone should be excited about the most is the return of S3 of SVTFOE, 'cause it's going to be crazyyy. [Interviewer: I can't wait that long] No but you have to 'cause then it's Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the other Holidays and you're gonna love it 'cause then you can watch it over all of those, and then Disney will take some other random breaks and make you hate your life, and you'll get even more later, 'cause that's what they do.

Q - Any desire to see a Holiday special? A - I mean I'd love- S2 we had a Halloween episode, ike Billy West is Hungty Larry, it was so good. Yeah, I'd... I'm down, give me all the special episodes. I'd actually love to see a Dìa de los Muertos episode. [Interviewer: Yeah Disney do it, take my money] Take mine too. And then gave back to me when I record, that's how it works!

So sorry for the double ping, but I wanted to put the video version out there, (with extra features ‘cause you can only do so much with static pictures) and behind-the-scenes notes (copy-pasted from description).

That glitchy bit at the start is a catch-up for anyone who doesn't follow my Tumblr and only Youtube, but then I realized, if you didn't know what I was reblogging, how could you guess Asor wanted a hug? So I drew that first panel and then just edited it for the second panel (it's meant to be something like Charles pushing Asor to the ground) to make it look more like an animatic and less like a time-jump.

**Uh...Editor's Note: the new panel looked fine when I was drawing it at the time, but...the glitch effect probably makes it even harder to see...please don't have a stoke when trying to look at what Charles is saying. It's meant to be silhouettes of Asor (Yellow) and Charles (Red). I coloured them in because I didn't wanna make a whole 'nother, shaded drawing all for Youtube, so this was a loophole, but...how it appears at the first frame of the video, has scary music, and just says, "Hug Attempt" makes it look like a horror movie intro. It's so unclear, it seriously looks like it could be used for an Inkblot Test** 

Those thumps and that mysterious filter at the start of the video is meant to be the equivalent of the CTM flashbacks whenever you start a route...I thought it was a really good callback! I would've made the introduction shorter, but it was the shortest the editing program I was using let me. I also think there's a nice touch of how I made it look like the glitching was disappearing once the first actual panel comes up. Although, it actually wasn't hard to make at all! I'm not sure about the very last panel's effect, but it looks just as bad without it. 

The effects, like three dots showing up one by one when Asor was embarrassed, were more what I was going for ‘cause you can only do so much with static images, but I really wanted to directly add the picture downloads on Tumblr as well. Making the music continue where it left off was harder than it should've been because I, for some reason, forgot to just split the music instead of deleting what I didn't need, Q.Q. It just added a minute or two of frustration though -- not nearly as bad as the Right-Hand Cat's bang issue though. 

By the way, in the frame where Charles puts his hands behind his head, the panel was done TWICE (redone entirely) because the first one look(s)ed SO. MUCH. WORSE.

Chapter Sixty-Five:

Bloodbath

Remember that animatic for the Impossible Duet I mentioned all that time ago? Well I took out a chunk of stress by working on it and it's gone from 3 to 50 completed frames yay!

"Don't move or I'll blow your head off," the voice growled.

Oh shit.

What could Hamilton do? It was pitch black and he had a gun to his head. Wait a minute, it was pitch black.

Bluff

"I might say the same to you," Hamilton said confidently, "Move an inch and you die. I know these tunnels better than you, you damnable Govey." As he talked, he silently pulled out his gun and aimed it as well. Now he wasn't bluffing.

The other person just started laughing, "Alexander?"

"Burr?"

"Sir!" He was still laughing. "I almost shot you!"

"I still might," Hamilton growled.

Burr's laughter immediately ceased. "As much as I'd be willing to let you, I'm afraid now is not the best situation."

"Now is the best situation. I could shoot you and blame the Goveys so Jefferson wouldn't even be mad."

Burr sighed. "Alexander, get a little perspective. We need to work together to put an end to this."

"Rich, coming from you. You know these passages so well and your position with Adams makes it so easy to go turncoat and let them in these tunnels with you as their guide. I've heard how you disappear so easily and move like a ghost around the Manor."

"Yeah, to avoid people," Burr scoffed. "Do you really think I'd turn when I'm finally in the position I wanted for so long?"

"I think you're still salty and bitter and don't give a damn about what happened to anyone else as long as you get what you want."

Burr chuckled darkly but before he could reply, a panel opened up right next to them, bathing them in light, temporarily blinding them. All they could make out was the outline of a man.

Okay, this was seriously starting to bother Jefferson. He couldn't find anyone. Not any Goveys not any of his friends. They were just gone. He hadn't checked every room yet but he should've come across more than he has. What was going on?

He kept wandering until finally, he came across a room with two Goveys. Finally. He opened the door just enough for their words to be clear. Eavesdropping, rude right?

"-and gathered in the ballroom."

"The ballroom? I thought the plan was the dining room?"

"They keep changing it. Agent Ghost gave them some new information for the trap."

Trap? Shit. A trap for who? For them?

"Oh, makes sense." The two soldiers walked out of the room and Jefferson quickly navigated the tunnels so he was walking right along with them inside the wall. If he listened hard enough, he could barely make out what they were saying.

"I bet there's food in the kitchen, wanna raid it?"

Oh hell no.

"Hell yeah!"

Fuck.

Jefferson opened the wall and pulled the one walking in the back into the wall without the other noticing, flicking his wrist so his blade slid between the man's ribs, piercing his lungs so he couldn't scream and then put him out of his misery. The wall closed and both Jefferson and the remaining soldiers walked on.

"Hey Fred, do you think they have smoked ham? Fred?" The man turned around and found an empty hallway. Jefferson slipped out of the wall and stood behind him.

The man turned around, "Oh hello, my name is Jefferson. You're in my Manor. Your friend was too. Fred, was it? Well, not anymore." The man went for his gun but Jefferson flickered his wrist and rested the tip of the blade at the top of his throat. "Now tell me about this trap."

Hamilton whirled and aimed his gun at the chest of the new arrival and pulled the trigger. But the man dove out of the way yelling, "Shit!" He hit the floor with a heavy thud but managed to transform it into a roll and came up standing, hands raised outward toward Hamilton, fingers splayed apart in a halting gesture. Hamilton reaimed, adrenaline and anger at Burr still pounding through him. "Don't shoot!" the man yelled. Hamilton's finger tightened on the trigger but Burr shoved his arm down and the bullet discharged into the floor.

"What the hell, Burr?!" Hamilton yelled, rounding on Burr.

Burr looked like he wanted slap Hamilton but instead, he said with quiet wrath, gesturing to the man, "Did you want to shoot Laurens? I'm sorry I thought he was on our side."

"What?" Hamilton looked back at the man, confused, and to his shock, found Laurens standing there.

"You tried to fucking shoot me!"

"I- I'm sorry John, I though were a Govey," Hamilton stammered.

"A Govey?! Oh yes, I'm sure a Govey would have gone for surrender instead of shooting your face off. Maybe that was a better option!" Laurens' anger rose.

"Believe me, John, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I should've paid more attention."

"Hell yeah you should be, frankly at this point I wouldn't be surprised if you were trying to shoot Burr too."

"Heh heh, yeah..." Hamilton trailed off.

"Let's just go back to how we used to work together when we were stealing tanks," Burr defused the situation.

"Yeah, yeah, let's go back to that. Look, man, I'm sorry I got flustered and yelled at you," Laurens said, sticking out a hand for Hamilton to shake.

"And I'm sorry for almost shooting you," Hamilton smirked, grasping his hand firmly.

John grinned wickedly before pulling Hamilton off balance and to his chest, planting a kiss right on his lips, too quick for Hamilton to stop and too short for him to push away. Laurens laughed as Hamilton's face flushed from either blush or fury, Hamilton wasn't quite sure which. "Now we're even," Laurens cackled.

Before Hamilton could cuss him out, heavy footfalls came from just outside the room. "The yelling came from in here!" Goveys. Lots of them.

Laurens shoved Burr and Hamilton back into the wall, but it was too late for him to slip in too, so he slid the wall shut, soldiers trampling into the room.

"John!" Hamilton yelled, hitting the wall, but Laurens had his back pressed against it so that Hamilton couldn't open it again. Burr grabbed Hamilton and pulled him away right as gunshots went off, bullets tearing through right where they'd been standing. As Burr dragged Hamilton away, kicking and yelling, he could faintly here the distinct sound of a body drop and I muffled voice cheer, "Got one!"

Jefferson pulled his hostage into the wall so no one else would happen upon them, he pressed his blade harder to his throat, drawing a bead of blood. "Talk," he commanded.

The man looked like he was about to cry, but he managed to keep his pride. He was a soldier after all. "You'll kill me anyway."

Jefferson was a pretty terrifying guy when he wanted to be. Every muscle in his body rippling with fury and barely leashed rage, a leash that could snap at any second. His eyes turned to a cold wrath that could freeze people mid step. But he couldn't crack this guy. "Kill me, you're getting nothing from me," the soldier spat.

Jefferson tried every tactic in the book short of torture. He wasn't a monster.

So he hog tied him and left in the wall next to his dead friend. At least he didn't kill him, right?

The ballroom. What was going down in the ballroom? A trap of some kind. That's where all the presidential staff would be, including Burr and Adams, the presidents themselves. No wonder Jefferson couldn't find anyone, they were all there. But if it were a trap, was it a trap set for him and Hamilton? Designed for them to come out of the walls? Or was it planned for them to come through the front door? Was it even for them?

Well, who else would it be for?

And then there's the alleged traitor. Hamilton was right. So who was it? Burr? Adams? A cabinet member? The cook? There was always something in involving a cook it seemed. If only Mulligan wasn't on tour in Europe showing off his new fashion line, he was good at this spy stuff.

He had to find Hamilton and discuss their next move. Laurens too. Where could he have possibly gotten off to?

Jefferson turned left, guessing where Hamilton would most likely be. Come on, think Jefferson, think. If he were a Govey mole and knew about the passages, how would he set up a trap to catch two of the most skilled fighters that knew every nook of the Manor?

Simple. Get them out of the Manor.

No. To predictable. The trap was in the ballroom.

Right?

He took another left, sliding open a wall, crossing a room and opened a different wall. He stepped into the completely separate network of tunnels. So intricate. He was kinda proud, he was probably the only one that wouldn't get lost in these.

He hoped Hamilton could find his way okay. He kept moving.

Then he stopped moving. He heard a peircing scream. He was moving again.

Fast.

It wasn't far away and he could hear the gunfire through the walls. He finally made it to the source and looked into the room only see Angelica holding her hand to her bloodied stomach as she faced off ten or more Goveys. Jefferson burst into the room, not bothering with any blades and just straight up shot them all. He reholstered and ran to Angelica as she slid to the floor, her face twisted in pain.

"Angelica!"

"Jefferson," she huffed, "I had it handled."

"I know darling, I just couldn't resist."

"That's twice now Jeffershit, find your own goddamned Goveys."

"Sure thing, darling, right after we take care of you." Jefferson knew she was in bad shape because she didn't protest when he scooped her up in his arms, just a hiss of pain and the grinding of her teeth. He carried her into the walls and immediately took a path that sloped up.

"Keep pressure on that wound, darling."

"Shut up."

Jefferson chuckled. "Almost there. Just hang on."

"Fuck you."

At least she still had her spirit. He nudged open a familiar door and gently settled Angelica onto a couch. It was the room that Hamilton and he used to escape to, his cello was in here somewhere. But this was a bunker, not just a retreat. It was stocked with ammo. "Stain my couch and you and I will have a problem," Jefferson said as he stood to find something to wrap her wounds with. Her response was to wipe her bloody hand all over the couch. "You bitch."

"You can't do a thing cause I'm dying," Angelica said impishly, trying to keep her voice level but failing.

"You're not dying, you're being dramatic," Jefferson lied. If she didn't get a real doctor soon, she would, in fact, die.

Jefferson returned to her, first aid kit in hand, and starting dressing her wounds. When he finished bandaging it up, she grabbed him by the lapels and hissed, "Live, goddamnit. Leave me here and find Hamilton. Kill every single one of those motherfuckers that dared step foot in here, got it?"

"Don't be re-"

"Got it?" she said forcefully. It wasn't an option. Jefferson nodded. "Come back when you're done, make me proud, Jeffershit."

"I'll get you back for my couch later. In the meantime, stay alive." Jefferson  restocked on ammo and left to find Hamilton.

Hamilton punched Burr in the face and Burr took it without a flinch. "I could've saved him!" Hamilton screamed.

"You would've died," Burr replied calmly, wiping the blood from his face and continued dragging Hamilton down the hallways.

They weren't really hallways though, were they? They were inside the walls.

Wallways.

Burr continued dragging Hamilton down the wallways. He paused at an intersection, looking left then right before turning right.

"Do you even know where you're going?" Hamilton asked, rage still lacing his voice.

Good, Burr thought, let him be angry. If he's angry, he can fight. If the grief set in, they were screwed. "Yes," he replied simply.

"Then where are we going?"

"This way." Hamilton rolled his eyes and wrenched his arm out of Burr's grasp. "Alexander, this is not the time for this bullshit."

"Oh I'm sorry, would you prefer to have had it two hundred years ago? Oh wait. We did. And you shot the fucking president."

Burr decided this would not be the oppurtun time to point out he didn't shoot the deputy. "Yeah, and now we're alive again and living through hell together. So grow up before someone else does too. Think you feel bad now? Keep dragging your feet and standing around and next thing you know, Jefferson will be dead too." That might have been a bit to far. He could tell because Hamilton decked him in the face again.

Burr picked himself off the floor, dusting himself off. "He has an outrageously strong throwing arm, doesn't he?" a southern voice drawled from the shadows.

"Like you wouldn't believe," Burr rubbed his face.

"So much power packed into one little body," Jefferson commented.

"Fuck you," Hamilton snapped.

"Glad to see you're okay. Anyone know where Laurens is at? He kinda disappeared on me."

Burr and Jefferson could sense Hamilton's impending breakdown. Somehow they both knew what to do. Make him angry. Keep him angry and he stayed alive but once he broke they were all done. Burr and Jefferson shared a look. They needed to distract him.

Burr said the first thing that came to his mind, "Laurens and Alexander kissed."

Jefferson dropped his cane. It clattered to floor in shocked silence. A moment later, Hamilton muttered, "Burr, you motherfucker."
