I think it was Miyazaki or something from Studio Ghibli that said, the presence of two people of different genders in a story don't always have to mean they're romantically involved, or sumn like that i know I'm paraphrasing by a Lot

I was watching Suzume today and yes her bond with Souta is adorable. They bonded with each other thru their journey and there's nothing like it when it's life and death but

The thing I've noticed with both Your Name and Suzume is there's barely any scenes or time for them together to show us that they actually have bonded romantically; Weathering With You on the other hand had plenty of that ig, since the two kids spent a lot of more time together

On the one hand it's funny because the kids in Weathering With You are younger than the characters in the other two movies, but them developing feelings romantically makes more sense

But on the other hand, it feels like it's a little forced for the other couple esp in Your Name; when could they've possibly developed feelings for each other when they've never met, and spoken only thru the limited time they had in each other's bodies? Did they develop feelings because ayyy it's a quirky situation so they've only got each other that understood each other?

Don't get me wrong, I gobble up the romance no matter what. I'm a sucker for that, it's cute and it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense, because ig Makoto Shinkai's stories always rely on two people developing feelings when they've been thru the same weird 😆 circumstances--because they depend on each other and see each other a lot and they're very much thrown together to get thru it yada yada

It's just....i wish that the plot makes more space for us audience to believe it, rather than being like, hey ofc they love each other now !!!

Altho as a caveat, I'm not sure if Souta feels the same way for Suzume at the end, I love that Suzume didn't spell out her feelings for him because she's younger and a minor and she's probably shy about it but it's implied that she's become an important person to Souta. Girls get crushes all the time too; having a hot chair guy with a hot voice and hero tendencies is bound to be attractive lol i love Souta, he's s strong contender against movie! Howl hehe

I just wish Taki and Mitsuha's bond is written more like Chihiro and Haku since it wasn't as believable for me that they're romantic. Yes some of us would love it if Chihiro returns to the spirit world when she's older and they get together romantically, but the way it ended in the movie, we know that they had a special bond with each other even if it wasn't romantic; true love doesn't always have to mean it's romantic after all

💯 Gods word is our final authority in all things because that is where he has revealed himself to us. If we rely on any experience outside of the Word of God we have built our house on sand. Therefore we stay in the Word of God to not only get to know him but be reminded of how magnificent he is and stand against false doctrine

💯. It is beautiful to dig through scripture and find the treasures of who God is. Trust beloved that those that are the great expositors of our day and days past from the reformation surely know their scripture. When I have sat in the Word of God I've found who the faithful preachers of God are and so I'm faithfully reformed.

💔💯 Sadly there are many that do not read their bibles every day. They do not know what it says and so are thrown about by every wind of doctrine and therefore partake in all things unbiblical including works based salvation.

💔💯. These works based salvation issues lead one to believe that you must maintain your own holiness in order to somehow achieve salvation. This is not so. Why? Because the only one who was perfect in regards to the law was Jesus. In order for him to be our spotless lamb and sacrifice on the cross. If it were up to us we would lose our salvation daily.

❤️🙏🙌🙇‍♀️. In order to understand such concepts it is important to understand just who our God is. He is Sovereign. He is fore knowing. He is omnipresent, (he is everywhere at every time) omnipotent (in control of his entire creation including us) and omnicient (has an infinite purpose for all things in his creation).

❤️🙇‍♀️🙌🙏. In the first 5 words of the bible when proper root word studies are done we can be highly encouraged to know God! And it's absolutely beautiful. But tonight we are going to look at the word created.

✨. In Hebrew the root word for created is as follows

Transliteration: bara

A primitive root (absolute) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood) select, feed (as formative processes); bring about, clear, create (fat)

A verb meaning to create. Only god is the subject of this verb. It is used for his creating heaven and earth (genesis 1:1) humanity genesis (1:27) the heavenly host (Isaiah 40:26) the ends of the earth (40:28) north and south (psalms 89:12-13) righteousness and salvation (Isaiah 45:8) evil (Isaiah 45:7) David asked God to create in him a clean heart (psalm 51:10-12) Isaiah promised that God would create a new heaven and earth (Isaiah 65:17) there are other roots that are spelled the same but have different meanings. These include: to make fat (Isaiah 2:29) to clear timber (joshua 17:15, 18, Ezekiel 23:47) and to choose (Ezekiel 21:19- 24)

❤️🙌🙏🙇‍♀️. Here we see in the root word for created that God is absolutely sovereign over all! How mighty and powerful and beautiful is he! This is of upmost importance because if he is sovereign over all things he is sovereign over salvation and our perseverance.

✨Hebrews 12:2 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

✨Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ.

💔💯. Heartbreakingly many people look to certain verses in the bible and lose hope thinking they have to maintain their own salvation or that they are the author of it which is completely false. Tonight I will begin the tearing down of the faulty theology beginning with these verses.

✨ The first verse people use to say we can loose salvation is in Hebrews 6:4-6: 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

💯 If we look to this verse in it's proper context and do a proper deep study on it it is easily torn down. Looking at the following verses in Hebrews 6:9-20 we see this

✨9 Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are convinced of better things in your case—the things that have to do with salvation. 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

13 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.”15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

16 People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. 17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. 💯. You see God promises salvation and he does not go back on his promises. They are of the highest anything or anyone could make. As a matter of fact we are instructed not to make promises in the bible because he is the author of promises and therefore the only one who can keep them. The key here is the elect. The promised children to Jesus. Hebrews 6:4-6 says these people were never really saved to begin with.

💯This is further exposited when we look into the order of melchizedek. Who was Melchizedek. A type of Christ. In historical studies into who Melchizedek was we see this:

Melchizedek, whose name means “king of righteousness,” was a king of Salem (Jerusalem) and priest of the Most High God (Genesis 14:18–20; Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 5:6–11; 6:20—7:28). Melchizedek’s sudden appearance and disappearance in the book of Genesis is somewhat mysterious. Melchizedek and Abraham first met after Abraham’s defeat of Chedorlaomer and his three allies. Melchizedek presented bread and wine to Abraham and his weary men, demonstrating friendship. He bestowed a blessing on Abraham in the name of El Elyon (“God Most High”) and praised God for giving Abraham a victory in battle (Genesis 14:18–20).

Abraham presented Melchizedek with a tithe (a tenth) of all the items he had gathered. By this act Abraham indicated that he recognized Melchizedek as a priest who ranked higher spiritually than he.

In Psalm 110, a messianic psalm written by David (Matthew 22:43), Melchizedek is presented as a type of Christ. By citing Melchizedek and his unique priesthood as a type, the writer shows that Christ’s new priesthood is superior to the old levitical order and the priesthood of Aaron (Hebrews 7:1–10).

Some propose that Melchizedek was actually a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ, or a Christophany. This is a possible theory, given that Abraham had received such a visit before. Consider Genesis 17 where Abraham saw and spoke with the Lord (El Shaddai) in the form of a man.

Hebrews 6:20 says, “[Jesus] has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” This term order would ordinarily indicate a succession of priests holding the office. None are ever mentioned, however, in the long interval from Melchizedek to Christ, an anomaly that can be solved by assuming that Melchizedek and Christ are really the same person. Thus the “order” is eternally vested in Him and Him alone.

Hebrews 7:3 says that Melchizedek was “without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.” The question is whether the author of Hebrews means this actually or figuratively.

If the description in Hebrews is literal, then it is indeed difficult to see how it could be properly applied to anyone but the Lord Jesus Christ. No mere earthly king “remains a priest forever,” and no mere human is “without father or mother.” If Genesis 14 describes a theophany, then God the Son came to give Abraham His blessing (Genesis 14:17–19), appearing as the King of Righteousness (Revelation 19:11,16), the King of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and the Mediator between God and Man (1 Timothy 2:5).

If the description of Melchizedek is figurative, then the details of having no genealogy, no beginning or ending, and a ceaseless ministry are simply statements accentuating the mysterious nature of the person who met Abraham. In this case, the silence in the Genesis account concerning these details is purposeful and better serves to link Melchizedek with Christ.

Are Melchizedek and Jesus the same person? A case can be made either way. At the very least, Melchizedek is a type of Christ, prefiguring the Lord’s ministry. But it is also possible that Abraham, after his weary battle, met and gave honor to the Lord Jesus Himself.

❤️🙌🙇‍♀️🙏. In conclusion this promise of God and his sovereignty is over our unconditional election and perseverance since one cannot be divorced from the other. Take rest beloved! Your salvation is secure.

I was gonna make a video essay on this and still might but I kind of forgot about it so here are my unfinished notes on why 2012 April is so overhated for like no reason.

These are unedited and unfinished please don’t jusdge my grammar or spelling 😭🙏

1. Love for Donnie -> Villinization of April

Because people love Donnie so much and refuse to aknowledge the flaws of his character but it’s clear there is something morally wrong with his and aprils relationship, instead of holding Donnie accountable for being a creepy stalker, people turn the problem to April, saying things like “she’s manipulative” or “she leads Donnie on” however April is in the right 99% of the time. In my personal opinion, it is very hard to ignore the terrible writing for Donnie in 2012. Unlike Leo who only has a few episodes invloving the crush he has on his fucking sister (still can’t believe they made that happen) 2012 Donnie’s entire character revelves around his OBSESSION with April. When asked to distinguish 2012 Donnie from the other iterations I guarantee the response you will get 99/100 times is his crush on April. Really the only thing she could have done better in their relationship is reject him so that he could move on, however, there are a few reasons for why I think that she didn’t do this so here’s a few of those Theroies

She didn’t want to hurt his feelings. It’s clear in the show that she cares for Donnie a lot, and if Donnie didn’t have a crush on her I think they would have been best friends, but she may have feared that letting him down would have hurt him too much

She was romantically interested in him, but didn’t feel like this was the right time to get into a relationship. Between all the constant fighting and saving the world all of them get into in, canonically only like a year or two, I’m pretty sure they’re all like 17ish by the time season 5 ends, and April just wanted everything to calm down before pursuing a relationship

2. Misogyny

If Aprils character was a man people would not have the same criticisms of her, which is evident in the comment section of someone’s gender swap art of April where all the comment are some variant of “much better”

3. Aprils freak out at the turtles in (season 2?)

A completely valid response to your father being mutated and not being sure if he’s ever going to be able to be true s back then finding out it was done by your closest friends

4. April killing Donnie

My thoughts on Treasure's REBOOT album

Ngl I was so worried when the track teasers came out 😩 I thought the spoilers did not sound like Treasure at all. I was so scared I wasn't going to like this album or the direction they would be going after REBOOT.

I shouldn't have been worried though, This is literally their best album so far 😭😭 Every song is a masterpiece 💎

BONA BONA: So fucking good!!! It truly is Treasure's version of Kill This Love! It's different from what they have done before, but similar enough that it still has their 'Treasure Sound'. It's JikJin 2.0 to me. An upgrade in a way. The intro is so good, the prechorus is heaven and then the beat drops and it's epic!! The rap hits so hard, Yoshi once again stole the show for me 💯 The bridge and party ending is perfect, it's what really sold me on this song. If it aint broke don't fix it and the party ending will never go out of style! 🔥

I WANT YOUR LOVE: Title track worthy!! 🙌 This song is so much fun!! The intro + Asahi's voice to start of the song? Doyoung's iconic 'My heart is going bomb' followed by Yoshi rapsinging? Everything I've ever wanted!! The pre-chorus hitting so good!!! At 1:26 there is a verse by Doyoung followed by Asahi and then Junkyu and it's one of the best parts of the album. Their voices complement eachother so well!! The outro by Junkyu and Jihoon made me ascend lol I was listening to it for the first time while driving and when the outro came I was so hyped, I forgot I was in a moving vehicle going 70km/h 😅 I legit got emotional that they got a bside this good, I'm not kidding. I understand 100% why this is the second song on the album. And Junkyu wrote the lyrics for this song??? He's a genius, I'm so proud 💙 I had to put it on repeat for 30 minutes because it's just so good 🙈

RUN: Yoshi's part is so good 😩 He's truly becoming my favorite rapper in Treasure. Usually we get our rap trio all together, but if they do seperate them, Yoshi is mostly the one that gets a part of his own and it brings so much colour to their songs 🌻He's so melodic that when it's a song more focused on vocals, he fits right in 👍 A big surprise listening to the song for the first time was Junghwan's high note??? Did not expect that at all! I love it when the members go out of their comfort zone. Like they could have easily given this part to Jeongwoo or Jihoon, but they gave it to Junghwanie 😭 This is going to be so much fun to sing during concerts. Please Treasure come to Europe!! 🙏🙏 (Also after five times listening to the song, I finally figured out Hyunsuk spells out 'Treasure' during the bridge lol) .

When they perform this with a live band, it will be epic 💯 It's good that they included a unit track for HyunHaYo because i feel like it's more of a vocal focussed album with only short rap verses so we really needed this song 🙏 + It was such a good idea to ask Lee Younghyun to feature on this song! I was surprised it was only for the bridge and adlibs for the outro. I thought it would have been like a Epik High/Lee Hi collab where the verses are rapped and the chorus is sung, but it sounds perfect the way that it is now 🎶 I'm thinking that when this is performed live, they will cut out Lee Younghyuns part and make the dance break longer, but I hope that when they do a concert in South Korea, Lee Younghyun will join them at least once 🙏 (Though now that I think about it Jihoon could sing her part perfectly lol 🙌)

STUPID: I just knew this would sound like a BigBang song and I was right!!! Yoshi and Junkyu sound so much like G-Dragon in the chorus, I was genuinly confused for a second when I first heard it. 😅 Jeongwoo and Jihoon sing the second chorus, but I honestly just wanted YoKyu to sing it again 🙈 I'm so proud of Yoshi for writing and producing this song. THE WAY TO: I did not expect it to be only Jeongwoo, Junkyu and Jihoon on this song. I thought it would be all the vocalists, but this song is so good, it legit does not matter! To see this live, I will be in heaven 💙 Jihoons last verse is so emotional and the instrumental is so gorgeous 😭 Also Junkyu's parts were so reminiscent of his cover of 'Beautiful Life'. How crazy is it that we had to wait 4 years to hear Junkyu sing like that again??? I hope we get many more unit songs in the future. It really highlights the members strenghts that they are not always able to show in songs that include all 10 members.

WONDERLAND: Immediate WINNER vibes! ☀️ WINNER just owns the sound of summer 😅 Asahi starts quite a few songs on this album and it's always the best choice! His voice is just perfect to set the tone. Simple and fun song that makes me want to dance ☀️ Doyoung sounds amazing on this song! 1:35 it's not just the best line in the song, it might be the best line on the album! He really stood out to me here! + Jaehyuk got the bridge together with Yoshi🥹 They all fit their parts so well!

B.O.M.B: People were saying it's the new Darari and the people were so right!! Such a feel good/romantic song 💙 The chorus is soooo cute!! LOVESICK: When YG said the album would be all new songs, I was so disappointed we wouldn't get Yamai Kor. version, but here it is! 🙌 Yamai is srsly one of my favorite Treasure songs 💙Ever since Asahi said he originally wrote Yamai in Korean, I've been curious to know what it sounds like and what the lyrics were that he wrote. It recently dawned on me that all my favorite Treasure Bsides are made by Asahi. His songs are so uniquely him, you can immediatly tell it's a song by Sahi. It's healing music ❤️I hope he'll get to write many more songs in the future. I'm happy it's on the album because Yamai was released without any promotion and I'm sure many Teume haven't ever heard this song.

I legit cried hearing this song btw. When first listening to the album, I started with Bona Bona, got to 'I Want Your Love' and immediately got emotional because that song is just so good 🙈 I didn't want to listen to 'Run' right away because I wanted to calm down first (because I was driving) so I thought 'lets listen to Lovesick, I already know that song anyway'. By the time I got to the end, I was sobbing lol I don't know what came over me... I guess I was so proud of our members and their hard work, how much they've grown and just how good Lovesick/Yamai is 💎

The only kpop songs that made me not just cry but sob are now:

Final Thoughts: It's a well rounded album with a lot of party tracks, perfect for a concert tour! A lot of songs feel reminiscent of second gen but with a modern twist. I'm really happy the members had a lot of input into the album, it makes the songs that much more uniquely them. REBOOT really highlighted who they are as artists now, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect album 💎

1) 1st spell he learnt

2) he was homeschooled 💯. Eileen had enough books plus they never had enough money anyway to send him to a muggle school. Also imo Eileen probably lowkey hated muggles as well.

3) SNAPE BELONGS IN SLYTHERIN AND THIS IS THE HILL I WILL DIE ON. It literally made me so mad when Dumbledore implied he was sorted wrong. The characteristics/traits of houses are neutral at best and so vague that anyone could have them all (& Sev had them all) but Sev really fits as a Slytherin the best like sure he was as smart as a Ravenclaw, brave like a Gryffindor & loyal like a Hufflepuff but only a Slytherin could have pulled off the double spy feat that Sev managed.

4) Defence Against the Dark Arts but Potions was probably his comfort subject or something he naturally excelled at so he always liked Potions as well. He was just always curious and interested in Dark Arts so that's most probably his fav subject.

5) Probably Flying. He wasn't all that interested in playing Quidditch.

6) This is a difficult one. I think canon Lily had no idea about his book (but then again Lily is written so frustratingly like she was awesome at Potions & was Sev's bestfriend so like logically she had to/ought to know). Canon Lily may have inkling to the fact that he created spells though.

Now fanon Lily absolutely did know about the book and spells in my headcanon duh. I think it was a well kept secret between him and Lily though Lily often advised him to publish his own Potions book minus the spells.

7) Right after graduation. I think he kept delaying it while he was in school but he still attended/was invited to DE meetings in the meanwhile.

8) A mixed bag really. He was pleasantly surprised at how cooperative the staff was. Though he still had trust issues and for other reasons as well couldn't afford getting closer to them.

9) This is a difficult one. Quirrell or Lockhart. But he really hated them all lol.

10) By this time, I think Snape was on the right path and genuinely a good person but he had honestly expressed to Dumbledore several times that he no longer wanted to do this. I think that's also why he didn't admit that he had grown to care for Harry coz Dumbledore would just use it to his leverage to manipulate them in some way.

He probably believed that defeating Voldemort was his job coz it was the right thing to do after he had caused damage by siding with Voldemort.

11) Hmmm as a Snape fan ofc I want him to be alive but tbh I think he was quite suicidal and depressed tbh. I think he wanted an out for quiet some time and was only holding on coz Voldemort hadn't been defeated yet so his job wasn't done. Also he kinda saw his death coming imo. And he wanted no one to know about his good side (while Harry probably put "Snape is the best" posters all over the wizarding world after the war lmao 🤣). Snape was so done honestly lol.

12) Yesss. All I want is that his life would have been a little bit easier 😭.  Like it was so so lonely and tragic. I wish he had more people to genuinely rely on eventhough it was a luxury a spy (esp a double agent) couldn't afford.

Oh, I'm going to have to admit this now: I don't bookmark fic. My memory is pretty good, so I'm usually able to find the fic I want with just. Filters on ao3, unless it's been deleted. Keeps me on my toes?

Instead I offer a fic series I read recently and really liked: All Caps by makeit_takeit - Tom Wilson/Nic Dowd and it was just. Ugh. So good. It really hit all the right buckets for me for some reason: small cock worship, rare pair, self-esteem issues (on both sides). I could read like, probably 50k more of this.

I would also recommend Lionheart by Aliquis - Jonas Siegenthaller / Nico HIschier modern royalty/bodyguard AU and UGH it’s SO GOOD.

Misethere by Astolat Look. I know it’s not Hockey. I know that Astolat is also a published author. But the things this fic did in the wordcount are just so. If I say economical, it’s going to sound bad, but I really mean that in the *best* way. Like. The author sets up this love potion/spell that is so effective that it drives people to die in the first like, 2000 words in such a believeable way, and then spends the rest of the story showcasing what inhuman control the person who gets *dosed* with said potion has. It’s just. It’s so good. That and, it’s a whole mystery story! And a love story! And political intrigue! all in less than 50k words.

Also, pretty much everything by my good friend Anonymous/ @himbeaux-on-ice but especially become what you’re supposed to be they have this specific way of absolutely blindsiding me with things I didn’t even know I wanted, and then describing them perfectly.

Of course I LOVE the entirety of 1x13, aka the all night date episode!! Like, for real, EVERYTHING about it makes me crazy and love Daniel and Betty's friendship so much!!!!!!!

For one, Betty literally QUIT her job at Sofia's magazine cos of what she did to Daniel and was so worried about him that she went over to his apartment (even though he wasn't even supposed to be there lmao)!!!!

And I loved the episode where she met Claire for the first time, which was two episodes after that. Betty needed a person like Claire in her life and I love how Claire always just accepted Betty and her entire family no matter what!!

And I also loved the season 2 plotline where Claire was on trial for Fey's murder...that was hella epic storytelling all the way through!!!

The perfume and diary pages that proved Claire's innocence?? HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

And I also like the episode where Bradford was in the hospital!! Claire breaking out of jail to talk to Betty and then how Claire went to see Bradford?! YEAH! Also the part when they came to get Claire and Daniel asked Betty to stay with his dad is so special to me cos that's when Bradford revealed that Daniel needs Betty to be in his life!! Last but not least, the very last scene of that episode makes me feel feelings...Betty placed her hand on Daniel's shoulder and then he put his hand on top of hers and leaned back into her. 🥺🤩💞

Oh, and how can I forget the one during season two when Betty went to Daniel's apartment and it caught on FIRE?!?! Loved it! #BadassBetty

Season three was so good and is a big part of what made me want to get into editing for a career. 💓💖

I loved and appreciated the aspect of Betty dealing with so many life changes between work and her family.

And it was also fun to see Willamina (the spelling for her name looks wrong, but I'm on a roll right now and don't wanna look it up lol) find love with Connor, even though he was also embezzling from Meade Publications!!

Another favorite moment for me is anytime someone from Mode came over to Betty's house in Queens. 😂💯💞 That happened more in the first season, but it was still always a good thing to see!!

Another thing I adored was Mark and Willamina's friendship!!! Some of her best one-liners came from moments when she was with him. "Who do you think canceled. Your. Subscription. To Dude Cruise Dot Com?" and "Why are poor people so cheap?" are two lines I for real think about at least twice a week!!

And don't think I forgot about Hilda's salon!!! Her character arch was so good and I was very happy that the writers and production staff did right by her character by letting her have that salon!!!!

Christina and Betty's friendship is also an important aspect that makes the show so special!!

Anyway...!!

There's other moments and episodes that mean so much to me, but the ones above are the parts that stand out to me the most!!

Oh, and before I get to Detty: Gio was my favorite out of Betty's love interests!!!!! Henry and Matt were fine at first, but then they both annoyed me. Not because I am a Detty shipper, but just because of how they were written. (And I was never a fan of Walter lol)

I totally get what you're saying about how you didn't ship them until season 4 and honestly, SAME, especially when I first watched the series for the very first time and then later when I re-watched it for the first time.

In the years and multiple rewatches since, I have come to see their friendship as very romantically coded. Like, Daniel just says things that make me go 👀🤔🧐🤨😱😍

He just had always loved Betty so much, even before he realized that he was in love with her.

And I really love how they went through lots of life things together!!! They had fights and moments where they didn't like/was disappointed in the others actions BUT they always made sure to talk things out and get back to supporting and being there for each other, no matter what!!!!

Their entire relationship is one of the best things I have ever seen on television and I definitely look up to them in regards to what a healthy, friends-to-lovers relationship looks like. 🥺🥹😭🤧💗💓💞

I adore Betty Suarez & Co. I do a series rewatch every year, it’s my favorite comfort show. It was canceled prematurely, and I'm still waiting for my Ugly Betty reunion movie.

I've been a huge fan of America Ferrera since "Real Women Have Curves," but Betty Suarez is my ultimate favorite of her roles. Like you, Betty is just so special to me. I'm always telling people to watch the show (many mutuals on Tumblr will attest to this 😂). I talk about the show so much you'd think it was still airing. I started a new job five months ago, and just last week, I was having lunch with one of my new colleagues, and she saw my Ugly Betty Pop figure on my desk (I commissioned it, and it's one of the best gifts I've ever given myself tbh). When she saw it, we spent half of our lunch discussing our favorite scenes. Ugly Betty is essentially my friendship litmus test lol.

Betty is my favorite fictional character of all time, no contest. But I also want to shout out the ensemble because WOW. The entire cast was incredible and hilarious. The show was a true dramedy; I was often in tears, either from laughter or an emotional storyline. Judith Light AND Vanessa Williams? ICONS. Michael Urie and Becki Newton? What a DYNAMIC DUO. Ana Ortiz and Mark Indelicato? PERFECTION. Eric Mabius? The TALENT. Daniel could have easily been such a vacuous character, but Eric gave him a depth that surprised me. Plus, his chemistry with America?? EPIC. I loved Betty and Daniel so much (shout out to the bridge scene in 1x13!).

I often wonder how unhinged I would have been if Tumblr had existed when the show was airing. My enthusiasm over your ask indicates that I would have been absolutely bonkers and loved every minute of it. 😆

It's really one of my favorites! 😭🙆‍♀️❤ Recently, I've been becoming a Jeonghan stan (idk ever since GoSe 2020's Doughn't Lie segment, I've officially admitted that I am in love with this guy) and so, most of the fics that I have read during these weeks have been all about him. This one is that one fic I've been going back to. 😭💟💛

So, why did I like this? Well...

1. The title intrigued me.❣I really love stories that have titles which make me wonder about what their links have in store for me. So when I saw this on your masterlist, the first thought I had was, "Now that caught my eye and I'm gonna read it." Boy was I so happy that I did!!! 😭🥂⭐

2. The way Jeonghan acted here is really, really like how the real Yoon Jeonghan would have. 💘 I think one thing that I appreciate the most about this story is how the Jeonghan here is very much like Jeonghan in real life. Like, I could definitely imagine him thinking along the lines of his character here, and acting like his character here, too!!! Sometimes I read fics where the main character's personality is too far-fetched or too exaggerated from who he is in real life, and it makes me distance myself from the story unconsciously. No matter what the AU is, I think it's still important that the main character still looks and acts like who he is in real life so that readers can imagine him better and clearer in the story, and I am so happy that it's what I read here! 😃 I had no trouble imagining Jeonghan here and I am so happy because everything is just right and more. 😭 I don't know if I'm making any sense at this point, but these are my thoughts about Jeonghan's character here!!! 🙆‍♀️💗

3. The whole story WAS JUST LOADS OF ADORABLE! 🦄🌠 From Y/N's stubbornness about wearing that winter jacket, to the pet store escapade, Soonyoung's fluffy and super-funny pickup line (I CRACKED UP SO MUCH BECAUSE OF THAT LINE IT WAS THAT SUCCESSFUL AT BEING HILARIOUS LOL!), to Jeonghan's eyes on Soonyoung and the way he tucked Y/N within the warmth of his huge coat...🥺😭❣❣❣ Please. Get. Me. A. Guy. Like. Jeonghan. Here. ASAP. I soooo loved that train scene!!! 😭

4. I recommend this fic as a pick-me-up story if you're feeling down and cold and you need arms around you...er, Yoon Jeonghan's arm around you. 👐❄🧥 To be honest, I read this when I was really feeling down and I needed something cute and happy and heartwarming to cheer me up. I never got disappointed, and I kept going back to this story. It seriously gives me that shot of dopamine to smile! 🌞🌻☀️

5. Lastly, the wording. Is. 💯. Again. ✍📝 I've come across quite a number of stories before I got to your blog, and I'd be lying if I said I loved all of them in terms of grammar and spelling correctness. I am such an old-fashioned nerd that my pet peeve of being too observant of grammar and word usage sometimes hinders me from reading a story when I see a typo here or wrong grammar there. Don't get me wrong, I'm guilty of all of those, too, but I'm really trying my best not to commit those mistakes; I strongly believe that how I write is one thing that draws readers, too! So I really appreciate a story where I don't get distracted by how the words are placed/misspelled. I know that you may see things that you'd want to correct here (because I am like that with my old works, too, especially the ones I didn't give my best in 🥺), but this was really lovely. Thank you for writing it.

(I know I said, "lastly" when I got to #5, but can I just say that I love the voice that I hear in your stories? I could hear you as the writer in these past two works that I have reblogged here. There is something unique about how you write: the way you write is articulate but there is a tinge of hopefulness and happiness injected into it ??? It's like your personality blends with how you write...and I think I like very much that I could identify that throughout your stories, the thread that says, "These are Choco's stories." — ✧✎ synopsis: jeonghan told you to wear your winter jacket before traveling on the subway, and now here you are, cold and shivering. it could make a great, “i told you so” moment, though jeonghan is suddenly focused on the jealousy ensuing within as a stranger offers you his own jacket.

Jeonghan couldn’t stop glancing at you from the corner of his eyes. Sure you appeared completely fine and dandy, armed with your woolly hat that had a pompom perked like a gumdrop on the top, a tiny quirk on your lips attributed from idly scrolling through your phone. He wanted to believe all was peachy-keen, but a litany of protests were rattling within his head.

This was the subway train after all, the sand coloured floors and dull silver benches hardly appealing on a winter day. Snow began feathering from the sky in fashion to powdered sugar, coating car roofs and clinging to fur hoods. Quite a beautiful sight, yet you insisted on taking the subway, Jeonghan crinkling under your sweet pleas a little too easily.

He wondered if you brought up the idea because you were cold and hoped the subway would offer some heating. However the minute you stepped inside, the same draft cloaked the air, any chances of nabbing seats by the heater purloined by the elderly couple who shuffled on just before you. It was always like this, similar to when your parents would advise you to dress warmer, yet their entreating’s would get brushed off out of petulant stubbornness.

“It doesn’t even look that cold Jeonghan! I’ll be fine in this jacket.”
