OMFG, I know these are probably meant to be candles, but I said in Post #5 that I've always used these interior decorations in worldbuilding as memorials and/or representations of the soul:

I mean... I didn't think it was that serious considering Cosmo and Wanda have survived exploding from magical back-up multiple times, but... Good to know sometimes you don't survive?

Holy flip, this makes the Fairies dropping H.P. and Sanderson on earth and forcing them to drive / bike home without using magic so much darker. hey wtf.

Technically I did headcanon Pixies as getting inspiration back-up if they didn't inspire people to innovate rather than the magical back-up route, but... basically the same thing.

I just saw the Musical ending to get this screenshot and ?? I'm so glad Flappy stayed long enough to see Gary and Betty take over and make changes to the Learnatorium? In my memory, he ditched them instantly, but I'm glad he was there to make sure they'd be okay without him <3

I wonder if this is how Fairies pass when they're old as well, like if whatever magic they have at that age becomes too much for their physical forms.

Hm. Okay, so is the canon we're going with for New Wish that Fairies leave confetti when they die? In the OG series, it's heavily implied Fairies turn to dust and that's why Jorgen freaks out when he finds glittery dust on Cosmo and Wanda's beds in "Fairy Idol," but I'll take it! That's clever, and it's close.

Interesting move considering one of the Season 1 episodes depicts Cosmo exploding from magical back-up, because it's not like it was buried randomly in Season 7 or something- It's one of the things that people are first likely to encounter.

But I'm not really picky; just noting it down as a reminder to myself that this show is a spin-off and AU and I shouldn't try to jump through hoops to see if it will fit in my canon-compliant-with-OG-series Cloudlands AU. It's still fun to watch and this is a creative spin on the OG magical back-up!

I'm glad we're still playing into "Fairies don't leave skeletons and all the skeletons we keep leaving in jails are fake." lmao. Iirc, the canon from "Wishology" was "Halloween party that never got cleaned up."

I am OBSESSED with the fact that we are in the Pink Castle courtyard, so of COURSE there are still crossed wand symbol tapestries hanging on the walls. I love how much thought was put into the location.

I'm LOSING IT at Hazel once again reminding us she likes paperwork.

I think I already said this in Irep's debut, but... If Anti-Cosmo shows up, is he going to debut with the name Osmoc; is that legit the direction we're going? Lol.

At this point, seeing as Irep's griping implies he didn't have a choice in changing his name, and Lezah is the 2nd Anti-Fairy to have a backwards name (With Hazel and us as audience only knowing these guys in New Wish), I feel like they HAVE to commit to Osmoc and Adnaw.

I feel like they're trying to make it easier to distinguish them or at least so they can have cool names or something, but I feel like that's actually harder on the audience?? At least without subtitles.

I appreciate how Lezah, in traditional Anti-Fairy fashion, got bored in 2 seconds. I think that's the best part of Fairy-Pixie-Anti-Fairy dynamics to me:

- Fairies are nervous and jumpy, but they calm down when they have structure and rules. So the Pixies always take over by giving them new rules to follow and no one makes a fuss; Timmy always has to step in and rescue them because the Fairies (except Binky) just go along with it. - Anti-Fairies are super restless and bad at sitting still. They can't handle boredom, which means they can't focus on rules or plans. Even when they make plans, we know Anti-Cosmo gets so distracted that he switches pen colors throughout his notes, implying he leaves and comes back 4 or 5 times before completing one sheet of paper... which is probably why Anti-Cosmo defers to the Head Pixie, who gives off "knows what he's doing" vibes. lol. - Luckily for everyone, H.P., is always down to relinquish everything he took over for raves and soda <3

Those eyelash designs are super clever. Also, I like how the lightest parts of Hazel's sweater match the darkest parts of Lezah's shirt.

I'm really glad Fairy-Hazel is not immune to getting upset by her counterpart. I'm glad she's not trying to befriend Lezah; I'm not the biggest fan of counterparts getting along well. It's great. Give me weird complexity and bullied children <3

I was going to make a joke about how I couldn't believe Lezah had better magic when she was just born, but then she screwed up her magic and that's hilarious.

I like how we've been going the direction of "Hazel is a person who overthinks things." I'll definitely keep that in mind, because I didn't see that in the early episodes, but it seems to be a thing recently.

Stuck In My Head

For some reason, it's funny to me that Dev eats cafeteria food despite being rich and lactose intolerant.

I was going to make a joke about Winn being allowed to wear a hat in school, but I don't think I can when we had Timmy Turner.

I really enjoy these characters with new hair styles, especially after 3 notable characters with the same hair for so long (Timmy, Cosmo, Vicky, Anti-Cosmo). I always struggle drawing their hair and I'd like to draw some new guys :)

Dev has had some bad times lately, but he's SO ready for lunch.

Hazel, on the heels of the overthinking episode: I am once again overthinking myself into oblivion.

I love Hazel's parents. I love how Cosmo and Wanda are totally down to dance. They used to love dancing <3

I like how the Hazel museum has Hazel's drawings from past episodes.

Oh, I'm sad we can't treat everything here seriously. The fact she wants to be a comic book artist is likely true, but her inventing the sun... I don't think so.

I wonder if Hazel's going to learn something she doesn't even know about herself.

Oh no... Hazel's anxiety led her to try getting rid of stuff that embarrassed her by throwing it down the trapdoor she was warned to never, ever open... That’s so funny… She is 10.

The mind worm concept is funny and engaging. Nothing much to say except I enjoyed the bit with the bird and all of Hazel's negative thoughts.

Hazel loves and trusts her mom so much <3 She's saying things her mom's surely taught her.

Another good moral, and more fun Hazel lore. Hazel's got a good home life and we still get to see some messy parts of her, so I really enjoy that.

Uh-oh, Hazel's friends just made it clear they notice Hazel's tooth gap all the time...

Geez, Hazel was doing (mostly) fine in the early episodes of the season, and ever since her fight(s) with Dev, she's gone from 0 to 300 in the anxiety department. Girl, are you ok?

Crying, I love how Hazel's hiding spot is the janitor's closet. She's been going there ever since Episode 1. I'm so glad we get to see her struggle.

Tooth Fairy!!! I knew she'd be here for a tooth episode, and after Cupid's redesign, I was wondering if she'd change much. She looks the same and tbh, I enjoy that.

??? I was going to make a joke during Lezah's ep, I think, about how the DMV keeps coming up and it's always different. I should've made that joke. It clearly wasn't just me.

I'm disappointed they made a "Seal the deal" joke with the tooth exchange program and did not seal Hazel's tooth into her mouth with dentistry.

Jasmine: Did you get your gap filled? How'd you get a new tooth so fast? Hazel: Uh... the Internet?

If i ever were able to list all the things i dislike in Magisterium series, this post would've been endless. Instead, I'd mention smth i love so much that it makes me re-read the series for the fifth time and gives me inspiration for new drawings and playlists

The first one is aesthetic. I don't think I've ever read a YA book with the death and necromancy as the main lore theme. Also, the first book in series is so sweet and innocent compared to the fourth I can't believe it lol. Corpses. So gothic. So edgy. Love it

The second is very similar to the first - chaos magic. We come across elemental magic in all sorts of media, but they don't usually have the 5th element, or if they have it's more likely to be electricity or smth. Not ACTUAL NECROMANCY omfg... I love it. Also Makars being able to manipulate not only chaos (the void itself) but the soul.... Cute

So next. The main character ofc. Callum Hunt. What can I say he is such a cinnamon roll hating himself for what he is not. Screaming, crying, throwing up. I can feel his pain with every fiber of my soul he's so relatable. He is a type of chaotic neutral main character which is rare I guess, and at the same time he doesn't act like a total jerk and piece of shit. Can't name some other like him, idk. He's sweet but also edgy. His self-confidence is below the surface of the earth. He's just like me frfr my poor little meow meow. Also he is disabled and it influences the events of the book. Sometimes. Cool, representative. Not a disabled person myself but can appreciate it

Another reason for me to love the series is the changing of Call's secrets idk how to call this. The structure of his character lore. His secrets and abilities, they're layered.. you know... And every book one by one uncovers these layers: 1 - he uncovers that he is the reincarnation of Constantine. 2 - he gets his powers (which made Constantine evil at the first place). 3 - he learns more about Constantine's family, and the whole world finds out that he "is" the Enemy of Death. 4 - omg how much he uncovers here lol i can't. May be my favourite book thanks to its maaad vibe. Everything he learns here makes him closer and closer to Constantine. 5 - i know that most of the fandom thinks it was stupid to make Constantine himself a reincarnated thousand-years-old evil Makar. And i may agree. But in the moment of reading this it was so impactful for me idk why.... I literally cried idk!!! Lol. Love the moment where Call opens his memory to help his friends to fight wolves or smth, and PASSES OUT. KING. So, the other secret is uncovered here. Everything he learns makes him understand Constantine's/Maugris's motives, but he never ever becomes anything like them nor wishes to follow their path. Pretty symbolic and meaningful

Upd. SOME MOMENTS ARE FREAKING HILARIOUS

So what can I say? Every series has it's weak and strong points. Some of them become classic literature, some are forgotten in the abyss of YA books. I understand why Magisterium's place is with the second type of series, and it's not even saddens me anymore (we're so underground teehee). But i see many posts where the series is shitted over, and not much of posts appreciating the things that we actually love in it. Aren't they the reason you started and finished it sometime? So I'm here spreading positivity! And also because I'm so tired of being a fan of this shit so i tried to acknowledge all that i love, and why am i here in the first place

But you can't take your eyes off of him. Not because of the way his frizzy hair catches the light like a halo, or how he's smiling wide enough that you can see his dimples from the other side of the room, torso stretched long over the edge of the table. It's not because you know how the little hollow spaces around his mouth feel against your skin.

It's what he's got caught between his fingers that has you tripping over your feet to get to him.

Somebody was talking to you—one of the girls from the squad blabbing in your ear about fuck all as you step into the crowded lunch room. You don't even mumble out an excuse, pushing past the bodies in your way, ignoring the glares that follow you all the way to the freak table.

"Give me that."

Eddie's passed the photo to one of his friends, and that's who you snatch it from. He's a freshman, clearly, with a mop of curly brown hair covered in a dorky looking baseball cap. He lets out a soft cry of protest; you silence him with a look.

But you're not in the photo. Nobody is in the photo. 

You were expecting something explicit—expected to see your own fucked-out body spread on his sheets, his rings glinting where they laid against your cheek and his spit smeared across the insides of your thighs. You expected a picture that would have you dripping through the cotton panties you were wearing. You were expecting some kind of thrill to know that Eddie had been looking at it where anybody could see it. 

So the reality is a little jarring. 

It's a polaroid of a fucking dog.

Not even a cute dog—a little mutt, laying on its belly in the dry grass, washed out in the bright sun. A waste of fucking film, if you didn’t know what it was really for. 

Your mouth presses into a tight line, lips pinched between your teeth, and you keep your gaze down, unsure what will happen if you look Eddie in the eyes when you’re feeling so insane. 

Now is not the time to laugh so hard you’d snort, or rip his throat out with your teeth for getting under your skin. Now is not the time to fall all over him like you’ve been fucking craving. 

None of the boys at the table are brave enough to make a sound when you look up—not even Eddie, although he wears quite the grin.

It takes more than one deep breath before you feel safe enough to speak.

"Cute, Munson,” you deflect, popping a hip as you flip the photo back in his direction, “I didn't know you had a girlfriend."

"Don't worry, princess,” he smiles, cocky as all hell, “we're not exclusive."

Somebody laughs. It’s a high-pitched, nervous little giggle that sticks out amid all the heavy silence of listening ears. Eddie leans back in his seat, hands cupped behind his head the same way he had the night you went to his trailer. Echoes of the same shivers he’d pulled from you brush across your skin. 

You want to say something biting. You open your mouth, ready for it, and nothing comes out. Eddie's shirt has ridden up a little, a thin sliver of pale skin revealed beneath his black t-shirt. Maybe even the edge of a tattoo.

Fuck.

He sees where you're staring. He could call attention to it, if he wanted—people at the nearby tables are all waiting to watch shit go down—but Eddie doesn't say anything. His cheeks grow a little pinker.

"What's going on, baby?"

Double fuck.

Connor’s here. You feel his thick arm squeezing possessively around your waist, tightening like a snake sizing up its meal. Your whole body goes still. 

“Hey, babe.”

Your boyfriend smiles in a way he probably thinks is charming, and one meaty finger steers your head in his direction. You're given no warning before his tongue is in your mouth, cracked lips brushing clumsily over yours.

Fuck. Fuck. A millions times fuck.

You slip your hands behind his head, out of view. You don't want anybody to notice the way your fingers curl into fists, nails digging against your palms as you count down the seconds until he stops touching you—pretending to kiss him back and pretending to like it even as your throat and stomach burn. 

Eddie’s noticed. You can tell the second you look at him, his brows divoted towards each other, gaze twitching between your tightly-balled fists and Connor’s sneer. 

“What’re you doing talking to these pricks, babe?” Connor asks you, totally ignoring Eddie and his friends. You shouldn’t roll your eyes at him—shouldn’t make it obvious that you’re growing a little tired of the prom king attitude—so you freeze your expression like plasticine, and keep all the hate on the inside. 

You hand him the polaroid between your fingers, put on a bitchy exterior that doesn’t look much different from your normal exterior. 

“Eddie was just showing us all his new girlfriend.”

Connor squints at the photo, huffing a dumb little laugh from between his lips. You’ve set him up for about a thousand good punchlines. Of course he goes for the most obvious. 

“Finally found a bitch who’s willing to fuck you?” Connor asks, tossing the picture at Eddie.

It smacks against his chest before falling pathetically to the floor; Eddie doesn’t move an inch, eyes on the ceiling, jaw tight. But everybody hears him when he mutters, “not the only bitch.” 

Then his gaze slides to you.

Oh. fucking. shitting. bitchfuck. The surrounding tables go silent, and then burst into activity, filling the room with little murmurs. You watch the stunned looks change, realization blinking on expressions like a string of Christmas lights, feeling every pair of eyes crawling over your skin.

Connor’s breath is hot and heavy in your ear, and he explodes in a rush of movement, gripping the collar of Eddie’s jacket in both meaty fists.

“The fuck did you just say?”

“Connor! Jesus.”

He shrugs you off where you grab at him, his elbow hitting hard enough in your chest that you fall back a few steps. You rub at the spot with your palm, forced to watch like everybody else.

And even though Connor’s got him in a grip tough enough to keep his feet off the ground, it takes Eddie a generous second to rip his eyes from you. 

“I don’t know what’s gotten into you, freak,” Connor spits right in his face, “or what kind of shit you’ve been smoking, but you better watch it. ‘Cause there’s no way a girl like mine would ever want a greasy little prick like you within a mile of her.” 

And Eddie could ruin everything for you in this one shining second. You can almost see it—the smirk of his lips as he tells Connor, tells everyone, about how he made you fucking scream for him, how you begged on hands and knees for the freak of Hawkins to fuck you, and how he refused.

But he doesn't. And, to his credit, Eddie's hardly phased by Connor’s random outburst. He keeps his face neutral, raising his hands in surrender.

“Hey man, listen—I didn’t mean anything by it,” Eddie tells him, and it’s only a little bitchy, “promise.”  

The cafeteria wouldn’t be quieter if it were empty, all eyes on the freak table and your boyfriend and the guy you can’t stop thinking about fucking. 

After a tense second, Connor’s grip loosens on Eddie’s jacket. Maybe he believes what Eddie told him. Or maybe he’s just remembered that if he got suspended again, coach would bench him for the rest of the season. 

“Stay away from her, got it?”—he steps away with a final threat—“or I’ll bash your fucking head in.” 

Connor yanks you away with a hand at your bicep, and your fingers are numb when they curve around his jacket sleeve. It’s like he hardly feels you there, all deep, heavy breaths and poisonous stares back over his shoulder. You want to look back, too. But you know better.

“I’m gonna kill that fucking freak, swear to god,” he tells you.

And he means it. 

You skip fifth period. 

Nobody even looks your way when you push past the clanky metal doors into the pale sunshine, probably passively assuming you’re on your way to hotbox in the parking lot or make out under the bleachers—which, to be fair, you’d done before. But you don’t stop walking when you reach any of your usual hiding spots, past the goal post at the far end of the football field and into the damp leaves beyond the tree line.

It’s quiet out here. Which only makes more room for your racing thoughts, rattling through the leaves and dead brush that soften your footsteps to an almost silence.

But you're not sure where you're headed. Guys talked about it all the time—the picnic table in the middle of the woods where Eddie did business—but none of them ever brought their girlfriends with them.

You thought it was because Eddie was a creep, that Connor was protecting you from his dealer’s lewd comments and stares when he left you alone in his Jeep every time he went to go buy. 

But the way he looked back in the cafeteria, how easy it was for him to grab at Eddie and how unphased Eddie had been by it all . . .

Maybe your safety wasn't even on Connor's radar.

Luckily, the journey to the table is a straight shot through the woods. One second there's nothing but green leaves and branches in every direction, and the next you're stepping on beer cans and candy bar wrappers at the edge of a clearing.

It's about as underwhelming as you pictured it. A dinky old picnic table in a sea of flattened, molding leaves. Piles of them lift beneath your shoes, releasing the smell of damp earth into the air with each step.

Might as well sit while you wait.

The slats dig into your ass, not that that matters. You'll sit here all night if you have to. You can peel the splinters from your cheeks later.

Your fingers run along the scratches on the table's surface, names in hearts and gossip from two, three years ago, maybe more—all overlapping and criss-crossing until you can't read any of them.

Except for one, near the edge. Eddie's name is carved deep with repeated wear, the lines black and thick enough to snag at your fingers when you trace at his clumsy scrawl.

Ugh, fuck him. This dickhead makes you cum one time (or more—whatever) and now he’s got you thinking in metaphors. 

The waiting doesn't take away any of your worry—just multiplies it, like you've got to make enough to fill all this empty space, have to send some of it back to Hawkins High and keep a cushion between Eddie and his obvious death wish.

Maybe Connor wouldn't beat the shit out of Eddie at school, but there were plenty of places he and his friends could corner a loner.

Places without witnesses. Places with a lot of beer and their own cheers multiplying off echoey walls.

Places where there'd be nothing to make them stop.

“I’m not gonna fuck you out here, if that’s what you were thinking.”

" Jesus,"—you jump, and a few more splinters implant themselves on your landing—"Eddie."

He's standing at the edge of the clearing like you summoned him—thought his name one too many times and he appeared by magic.

If that worked, though, he'd have showed up in your bedroom every night for the past week. And your shower. Maybe at least once during your math class.

"I would be kind of hot, though," he continues without meeting your eyes as he wanders over to the table, fidgeting with his rings. You swallow the lump in your throat when he curls his thick fingers under the table top, giving an experimental thrust of his hips.

Eddie wears a cool look when the table wobbles, metal supports groaning from the movement. "But I don't think she could take it."

"Eddie—"

It's like you hadn't said anything. He’s on a roll, rubbing a hand over the uneven stubble on his jaw, considering the options with his hip popped.

"I've always wanted to fuck someone on the edge of a table, though. Think your boyfriend would come looking for you out here?"

"Eddie."

A smirk blooms across his face. "What do you think he’d do if he found me balls deep in your pretty pussy?"

"Eddie—"—you slam your palm on the table, make him look you in the eyes—“stop.”

Whether you wanted him to or not, he listens. Maybe it's too bad. You were kind of hoping to hear more about the whole fucking on the edge of the table thing.

Eddie's arms cross over his chest, jaw jutting toward you.

You're stunned silent for a second. He's actually gonna stop talking long enough for you to speak.

"You- you can't pull shit like that again."

Eddie plops down into the seat across from you, hands clasped together, wearing this look of false innocence.

"To what shit are you referring?"

"Fuck, Eddie," you reach out for emphasis, "this is serious."

You're surprised by the feel of his hands—the soft heat of his skin and smooth contours of his veins—even though you're the one who reached for him, fingers slipping under the edge of his sleeve and circling his wrist.

His expression softens, big eyes getting bigger, pink tongue sandwiched between his lips. You're not even thinking about the way you felt the last time he had his tongue pressed to your skin. Just touching him like this has your heart pounding.

You slip your hand back, palm flat to the wood. "You can't antagonize Connor like that, okay? He's fucking crazy."

"Uh, I was trying to antagonize you. Your boyfriend showed up uninvited."

You want to laugh, but that would give him the wrong idea. "Well, you shouldn't be antagonizing me, either."

Eddie kicks his feet up onto the bench, hopping on the table top so he can lean in close. “Probably not, sweetheart. But have you ever thought maybe you shouldn’t have a boyfriend who’s, uh— I don’t know—fucking crazy?”

He tries so hard to look nonchalant, but you’re picking up on the signals. The shake in his hands and the twitching muscle in his jaw. 

Oh, god. He's fucking serious. As serious as you've ever seen Eddie get.

The breeze blowing through the clearing sets goosebumps across your arms. “I can handle Connor, okay? But you have to stay the fuck away from him.”

Eddie rests his chin on his hand, pursing his lips together. “What if I don’t, sweetheart? You gonna punish me?”

Jesus Christ, he’s stubborn. He’s a lot of other things, too, but you gotta focus on the stubbornness right now or you’re gonna end up bent over the table.

Eddie’s eyes go wide when you don't respond, hand dropping away from his face.

“Oh my god. Are you, like, actually worried about me?"

It’s the way he says it—like you weren’t even human to him until now, like he can hardly believe you’re capable of feeling anything but apathy or rage. 

And it shouldn't hurt. You didn't climb to the top of the social ladder of Hawkins High by caring what every dumbass guy whispered behind your back. Or what they said to your face.

You had skin like armor, and normally a comment like that wouldn't even make a dent.

So why do you feel like crying?

“Fuck you, Eddie.” 

You're up from the table before the look of surprise solidifies on Eddie’s face, already into the trees when he catches up with you. It doesn’t matter, anyways. He’s already seen it.

You care about Eddie. You care about the freak. And you don’t want to see him get hurt because of you.

“Hey—” Eddie catches you with a hand at your wrist, circling it in his big, warm grasp, “shit, don’t—”

You throw his hand off you, wild, too big for your body. “Don’t what, Eddie?”

You're just so fucking tired of this. Of thinking about him all the time. It's like you're drowning. Wanting Eddie Munson is going to kill you.

“Don’t-” he stares at the tips of your white Keds, digs his own shoes into the dirt, “don’t go back to him.”

“Yeah, okay,” you laugh at him, harsh and mean because maybe that’s who you are at your core. “And you and I can live out our Litte House on the Prarie shit here in the fucking woods? He’s gonna come looking for me, Eddie. He already wants to kill you.”

“That’s not what I meant.” 

You know what he meant. You can see it in his big, brown eyes, the way he’s fucking terrified to look at you. And he’s probably right to be, after everything you’ve done.

Whatever. Fuck this. Fuck your feelings and his pretty baby cow eyes and anything else that made you believe that things could be better.

“Did Tommy invite you to his party Friday?”

Eddie kicks a clump of leaves in your general direction. “I’m always invited to Tommy’s parties.”

You wrap your arms over your chest, fighting off the chill from a gust of wind that isn't there.

“Don’t go."

Jesus, you sound needy. Needy and weak.

Eddie scoffs. “Are you fucking serious? I make, like, a month’s worth of gas money selling to Tommy and his stupid friends—”

And would get the ever-living shit kicked out of him if Connor saw him there.

You stomp towards him, ending up chest to chest, your words coming out harsh through your teeth.

"I will buy you out."

Eddie's lips part with a soft pop, eyes tracing your face. You can't tell if he's offended that you've offered him money (which was kind of a dick move, if you’re being honest), his expression—normally so easily decodable—coolly masked.

Okay,” he says, pausing, like this is just some deal, "while we’re making demands . . . break up with your boyfriend.”

“Eddie . . .”

You can’t remember the last time you felt like this—throat tight and raw, barely balancing on the knife’s edge of tears. It’s been a long time since you’ve cried over a stupid, fucking boy.

You wish Eddie was just another stupid fucking boy. 

He shoves his hands deep in his pockets, staring up through the leaves. “Just- think about it, okay?” 

And he walks off without looking back.

“You’re welcome,” Rami says, settling back in his seat. He looks up at the ceiling as the lights start to dim, and the advertisements start, excitement bubbling up as he looks over at Joe. He can't help but feel that this night is pretty special.

Rami lets out a surprised sound, and jerks back slightly, bumping against the counter, but after a moment, Joe can feel a hand tentatively reach out and grab onto his hip.

Joe pulls back for a moment, smiling, then kisses him again, taking his face with both hands this time. He’s not sure how long they stand there kissing for. Long enough for Rami to reach out with his other hand, tugging him in, making Joe groan softly. Long enough for the kettle to start whistling, and Joe jerks back, glancing over at the stove. “Sorry,” he says, stepping away from Rami to turn off the burner.

well, the first thing i'm going to say is - according to the people, here is your answer. charles bottoms 98% of the time, whereas pierre is 100% a switch. so it would usually be pierre tops and charles bottoms, but very occasionally, they switch it up. 👌

and you know what, i agree. the piarlies have excellent taste 😌 in my headcanons, yep, pierre tops, 9 times out of 10. to me, he just gives such cocky, confident top energy most of the time - he's all "yep, i have a big cock, and i know what to do with it" BDE. sometimes, though. sometimes he can just be such an incredible little shit, and so infuriating, but in the cutest way possible. to be completely honest with you, i don't think either of them would do this with a great deal of success - purely because i don't think either of them are the very best of cooks. charles, as we know, is very proud of the fact that he can do a good pasta. but... that's also about all he can do 😆 and pierre is not a lot better, lmao. in fact, in my headcanon, his culinary skills are limited to a fry-up. so if either of them were to wake up suddenly and ravenously hungry at night, i think they'd be more likely to raid the fridge/pantry and eat whatever they can find, diets notwithstanding.

and as for who would do it for who - well, i feel like charles sleeps like the absolute dead, lmao, and takes about twenty-odd minutes to wake up properly. the chances of him being coherent enough to do anything for pierre at 2am are incredibly low. pierre, on the other hand, is probably one of those people who gets massive bursts of energy late at night. so i'm just imagining an exhausted charles trailing after a hyper pierre, trying not to fall asleep on his shoulder as pierre raids the fridge... 🥺 that is an INCREDIBLY cute image, actually, and i kind of love it. yep! that's my answer. charles would wake up at 2am and stagger down to the kitchen with pierre, but he'd be a lot less helpful and a lot more sleepy and cute. and then they would probably end up making out on the counter, because charles is just too adorable when he's all soft and sleepy like that, and pierre can't help himself. midnight snack forgotten in favour of... well, midnight dessert. heh. needless to say, that's sleeping done for the evening.

14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?

oooooohhh, this is a fab one! and fair warning... i fucking LOVE to talk about characterisation/how these two are foils for each other, so *ahem* buckle yourself in, because this is going to be a long one.

the first point i want to talk about is a bit of a depressing one, but it's also one that i feel is very crucial to their characters. it's all about how they handle loss - and i touched on it a little bit here, when i was talking about hiding their emotions/the other being able to tell anyway. but i want to go into a bit more depth here: especially on charles. because i feel like charles is someone who has lost so much - and yet, he manages to do almost unbelievable things (like win an f2 race) right after terrible loss (his father passing away.) to me, this is a crucial part of who he is. he is able to compartmentalise incredibly effectively - he has to be, otherwise there's no way he'd still be able to race after everything he's lost. he has also said in interviews that he's all about living in the moment, and knowing how lucky he is that he gets to be where he is. so, yeah. charles is someone who handles loss by compartmentalising it, and then not dwelling on it in favour of focusing on what he does have, instead.

pierre, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. like i said in that linked post, he has a tendency to overthink, and get lost in his own head about things. if he makes a mistake, he's likely to replay it, and agonise over it to the point that it becomes worse and worse. this is, of course, the exact opposite to charles, who doesn't dwell on mistakes or losses. he just moves on to the next thing he can control - which is both a good thing, and sometimes less good, because there are times in which you need to take the time to process. so i feel like their personalities complement each other incredibly well in that aspect: when pierre overthinks too much, charles is there to ground him and help him let it go/live in the moment for a little while. at the same time, pierre is there to remind charles that it's okay to let himself overthink, just once in a while, to help him process. and since they've known each other for so long, i think they've helped each other like this a lot of times. so, yeah. that's a beautiful point of complimenting personalities there.

another point of characterisation i want to talk about is their sibling status! anyone with siblings knows alllll the sibling clichés, lmao - but the thing about clichés is they're often rooted in truth. charles is a middle child, and middle children are often the ones struggling with self-doubt and a lack of self-confidence because their older sibling gets all the praise. now, i don't think this is quite the case for charles, but then again, he did grow up in both lorenzo AND jules' shadows. that can't have been easy, and charles has confirmed in that f1 "when we were young" documentary that he's always struggled to believe in himself. we see it today still - when something goes wrong, he will always blame himself. when it goes right, he will thank the team, not himself. argh. my heart. but anyway. to contrast this with pierre! pierre, now, is a completely different story. he's a youngest child - the absolute baby of his family - and also, per that one biography of his, the "glue" that keeps the entirety of the gasly family together. he's very much adored there, and i can just imagine him being spoiled rotten, lmao. the result of this is that he has a whole fuck-ton of self-confidence, and that he's also quite used to getting his way.

clearly, this contrasts quite sharply with charles, and i can imagine them clashing over it, every so often. maybe pierre can be a little too cocky and energetic and/or needy when charles just needs a little more time to feel more settled and less self-doubting. however - and pierre and charles' own interviews support me here - i don't think they actually clash, as in fight, all that often. actually, they have said that they agree on almost everything, and very rarely argue. so, yeah. while i can imagine small, bitchy fights if they're both stressed, and getting on each other's nerves, i don't really think that they would get into very big blow-ups. also? they just care about each other too much to truly be petty. and they understand each other, so, again, it's easy to resolve fights and forgive each other. 💜

ahhh, and i could talk about characterisation for literal hours more, but i shall force myself to stop, because i do still need to get some work done today 🥲 one last little point before i go, though: another way in which i think pierre and charles are beautifully complimentary is in their shared sense of humour. i am going to link you to two videos to prove my case: here we have a tiny sauber!charles laughing his babygirl head off at jokes and puns that really aren't even funny. and here we have an equally tiny toro rosso!pierre, also giggling like crazy at dad jokes that definitely aren't that amusing. my conclusion? they share the same terrible sense of humour, and that's probably why we always, always see them laughing and giggling together. and you know how the saying goes: boyfriends who laugh together, stay together :DD <3

The first 2 DVDs cover the actual concert in full from 201010. The 2nd DVD also includes the last part of that day 1 concert as well as day 2s solo stages. Disc 3 includes the merch and poster making film and VCR making film, the Rehersals and practice making films and the concert d-day making film. (300 minutes in total from all 3 DVDs.) Rehearsal Making Film:

Final Rehaersals took place a few days before the actual concert days, so we are officially in October 2020 now. We kick off the video with everyone arriving to the stadium for rehearsals and it looks early and everyone looks sleepy as heck. Lol jikook arrive together here as well too. Looking very fluffy. And then we move right onto Jimins Black Swan solo rehearsal too. Which I could watch a million times over. And then we get to see Jungkook rehearsing My Time right after this too! So good! JK finishing off day 1 of Rehearsals for us.

Day 2 kicks off with Jin greeting every prop good morning like the prince he is! And then complimenting Jhopes fashion sense. Which everyone else agrees clearly as JK immediately goes to try and steal and wear Hobis vest. Lol and Tae who then steals it next. And Hobi the angel who just let's them take his clothes. 🥰 and JK in those kendo pants is everything to me. He is so beautiful.

Day 3 we see Prince Jin on his moon finally! And we also get President Namjoon doing Persona! And we see Jungkookie's My Time dress rehearsal with his shirt significantly more buttoned up then it was during the performance. Lmao just like Jimin said, he was frantically unbuttoned his shirt before it was his time to go on to perform 🤣 and we get to see Tae pre-record his Inner Child performance with the child actor Dam. And we watch Tae totally fall in love with him too 😭 TaeTae with babies, my HEART!!! They did sooooo good. He promised to take the kiddo out for a treat after recording. Omgggg. Might be one of my favorite parts of the whole DVD honestly. So freaking precious. I could tear up. Jimin watching Tae record and them talking about how good Tae did and how cute the kid was after too. AGHHHH I can't handle it. 😭😭😍😍 VMIN! And now we also get to see Jimin prerecord Filter here too! I can't handle this either. Jiminnnnnnn. Both Tae (Tae here too) and Jimin took pictures with Dam too.

Day 4 is when they Prerecorded the last few songs of the concert that they were doing AR effects with too. DNA, Dope, and No More Dream. After No More Dream, Jikook talked about how long it had been since they did their choreo in a performance 🥺 and JK being so proud going "i was holding you with just my arms" instead of Jimin putting any of his weight on the other members/dancers like he used to. And "because dropping you would be a disaster" 🥺🥺 we know he takes good care Jimin! Recording DNA and Tae starts playing camera hide and seek with the director. Why is he so cute? Namjoon praising the staff for how hard they worked on this concert too even though they are so tired themselves. I adore him and how considerate he is! Jhope wanting to rehearse Ego one more time because he was worried about it and Jimin comforting Hobi that he was born to perform 😭 my heart. JK also stayed late for another rehearsal of My Time

Last rehearsal before go time the next day!! So it's October 9th now! They do sound check with Butterfly on RMs persona stage and Jimin hangs out at the podium and Yoongi is so cute coming over to sing directly to Jimin! 🥺 and then Jimin getting all excited seeing an ARMY on the ARMY Screens who is holding a Jimin banner and pointing it out 😍 all the members being giant fanboys watching RM do his persona stage. Exclamations galore! Lol the editors putting the "heartthrob" caption with a heart and saying they are just like ARMY. It's so true. They love him! Vmin being in love with their hyungs and Jimin doing Jins choreo as Jin sings Moon to him and Tae singing and Dancing to Ego for Hobi. Lol they are adorable. The hyungs all rushing to go watch JK do My Time and all of them watching with literal mouths open. Relatable. Same. Also JK lost his buttons for this final rehearsal too 🤣 JK and Hobi jumping up to do Jimins crotch grab dance move with him on the screen and absolutely loving it. Lol VHope telling Jimin how cool he is over and over. I love the praise they give each other. Jimin reaching over to high five Hobi for the compilents and Tae just holding Jimins hand instead and said, I'll pass your high five onto him 🤣 okay soulmates. Lol Jimin just kissing Tae's hand that he is holding then instead too 🥰 OKAY SOULMATES! 3J adoring and loving Jin dancing to moon and dancing along with it and smiling so hard!

And we end the final rehearsal in the dressing room with Yoongis guitar and Jikook harmonizing and singing Dynamite along with him and Jihope dancing together and just omg pure serotonin and happiness in everyday with my yoonminhopekook heart SOARING

D-Day Making Film:

The morning of the concert is finally here. And we see Tae2Seok cutely sharing meal and Yoongi once again practicing his guitar! His dedication!! And for the last and final soundcheck on the day of, we see TaeJin this time play fighting and Minimoni exchanging cute good luck handshakes. Joon explaining that walking on all fours is a great exercise because all humans used to be animals before evolution 😅🤣 idk what that has to do with working out but okay 🤣

Maknae Line watching the UGH rehearsal and being the BIGGEST fanboys. No one beats Tae being Joons fanboy though and he was running up to give both hugs and kisses in his RM enthusiasm! Lol Editors "doesn't hesitate to express his affection" is sooo true for our Tae. 🥰 and Tae also once again joining in as an extra Ego dancer with every other member on the sidelines dancing too. Lol they LOVE EGO! Jimin doing one last black swan solo performance rehearsal and JK watching and supporting him from the side. Because OF COURSE he is. "Thats our Jimin" 🥺

The hyungs each did logs too. Im not going to go into them too kuch, but please go watch them. They talked about prep for this concert and how much they are missing ARMY, etc. They are really sweet. All getting ready for the concert. Hobi getting Henna done and showing it off to Jimin and he was so impressed for him. It was so cute. I love all the recaps over the performances of Day 1 concerts as well as tidbits into them running to get ready for the next sets during VCRs. And I will never be over Yoongis fits during the second set of performances and UGH. Nor will I ever be over Jimins Black Swan solo or all their solo performances . Jimin saying he was pretty satisfied with his Filter performance makes me so happy. It was AMAZING and show stopping. Lol and Jimin accidentally opening his umbrella a tad bit too early during Boy With Luv and IMMEDIATELY turning to Hobi lmfao. His cute sorry sorrys to Hobi as soon as the song finished too. 😭 lmfao Dance Leader Hobi notices everything 😭🤣🤣 and they showed Jimin crying during his ending mentions AGAIN I CANNOT 😭😭😭😭 JK coming over to comfort him as do the 94z. Excuse me while I start crying again too 😭😭 Post over that here:

Jimin talking about how he just got so emotional as soon as he realized during their encore that the fans were there broadcasted live and communicating with them even through a screen in real time. And that it made him get so choked up. And I just wanna give him a hug 😭 JK still reaching over to give comforting touches even when joking and teasing asking why Jimin cried. Lol and Jimin joking right along with them saying for the attention. God, he is such a softie and a goofball. I'm so glad he is surrounded by so much love and support and can Crack jokes and find the humor in these emotionally intense situations too. And JK then still also teasing Tae asking why he isn't saying anything and needs to do the ending fairy comments 🤣 Namkook looking at Tae so sweetly and cutely as he gives their last comment of the day before coming back for concert day 2! Tae is always their ending fairy in these DVDs it's so cute.

Everyone went home except for Jikook. Jungkook stayed for an additional run through on his My Time performance. He was exhausted but he wanted to make sure it was perfect. Saying that during day 1 he lost focus because he thought his pants ripped on stage 😅 so he wants to make sure he is satisfied for Day 2. Lol this poor man! And Jimin stayed to wait for him. Once he was done and said goodbye the captions said "going home with Jimin who waited" 😭🥺 THESE TWO! They are so sweet. And ALWAYS TOGETHER. Going home together after such a long and emotional day and getting ready for another the next day. I'm glad they have each other.

Day 2 kicking off with souncheck! And jikook dancing together the whole way through it basically and Hobi joined in too! They are so cute. We then also got logs from the Maknae line this time for Day 2. Same as what I said for the first set of logs. Please go watch them. They are so worth watching. They have their pre concert meeting and Hobi goes over the set list with them again with reminders from the day before. JK steals the paper from Hobi and is saying something about N.O and Jimin before there is a CUT. lol I wanna know what he was going to say!! And then off they go to get ready for the concert!

Hobi getting his game face on for UGH 😳 He is amazing. JK getting ready for Day 2 My Time and the editors going "WHERE DID PURE JK GO?!" LOL He is on a mission to let everyone know be is grown and sexy. Tae watching his performance while getting ready for their next set and just going "whoooooo" lol SAME AS THE REST OF US. "We should've been on tour with this set list" YES JIN you should have 😭 I'll never forgive covid for all it took from the world including this beautiful tour. JK teasing Tae about not seeing his arm muscles under the merch bandana that Tae was clearly trying to show off. Lmao and Tae doing push-ups before the encore starts to get them flexing 😭🤣 they are so funny. And Tae successful drove ARMY crazy so it worked! Lol their ending mentions 😭 God the emotions at the end of 2020 were really high for all of us. I remember watching through teary eyes. Lol finishing the DVD with final thoughts and Jin mentioning it being his last concert before he turns 30 and everyone automatically teasing him for his age 🤣 Tae once again the ending fairy as per usual and being extra cute making everyone smile and laugh super hard 🥰🥰

And that concludes my thoughts over MOTS ON:E DVD. I adore it so much. Such a good concert and DVD. This tour deserved more. I'll stand by that forever. I hope when the rest of the members do a solo concert, they will bring these solo stages back like Hobi did for Ego during Hobipalooza! I'd love to see them again with a live audience! Free! The Final Stroke screeching/reaction (spoilers)

AHHHHH I JUST WATCHED THE FINAL STROKE MOVIE TODAY IN THEATERS ON PREMIER DAY AND IT WAS LAKSJDFOAIFJWOEI to summarize it all, it was Very Gay, which was to be expected but they DID NOT have to get so freaking extra with it 😩😩😩

much screaming and many spoilers ahead

FIRST OF ALL, KIRISHIMA NATSUYA: HE WAS SO FUCKING HANDSOME DAFKJOIEFJOSIDJF. SO HANDSOME. SO HANDSOME AND STUPID AND OVERLY FRIENDLY AS WE LOVE HIM TO BE ALKDSJFOAIEW.

he was in the film for a total of maybe 5 minutes altogether, which was kind of a lot bc the film kind of was just putting all the characters back in for the sake of putting them in imo? for the fans, lol. so everyone could see their faves. and in these five minutes that he appeared, our mans:

bragged about his little brother he's so proud of

got laughed at by nao for being natsuya (aka dumb and straightforward) as usual

trained with sousuke (he was hanging out in the same pool with him, nao, and makoto to train and aid in sousuke's rehab training)

got a call from ikuya after the international swimming competition in sydney!!!! in that same cafe he's always at!!!! and he was with nao at the time he got the call. casual and cool as always, being the cool big brother or whatever. he ended the call with a curt, "you got it. see you. don't catch a cold."

HE WAS HANGING OUT AT CAFE MARON WHILE THEY WAITED FOR THE SYDNEY COMPETITORS TO COME BACK TO JAPAN. HE WAS BEHIND THE COUNTER WITH ASAHI (WHO WAS HOLDING BABY TSUKIMI IN A CARRIER ON HIS CHEST!!!!!) AND HE THREW HIS ARM AROUND ASAHI AND WAS GETTING SO CLOSE LIKE ALKSDJFAOIEJAOEI. I have absolutely no clue what he was saying at the time bc i was too busy freaking out and trying to hold in the sounds bc the theater was so quiet. but his GODDAMN FACE. HE WAS SMIRKING. SO HANDSOME 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

and of fucking course, they were all out together at a restaurant when the sydney competitors came back, and he was like, "wth no one else is drinking alcohol tonight?" and nao was like "ofc not haha" AND YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

HE FUCKING FALLS ASLEEP AT THE TABLE AFTER DRINKING AND EVERYONE IS SURROUNDING HIM AND PATTING HIM LIKE "dude..." and ikuya is sitting there like, omg can't believe this mess is my brother....

i thought that just might be his last scene in the film but then we show back up to the kirishima household and natsuya is eating some sort of luxury holiday(?) bento and ikuya is like "aren't you gonna save any for me?" and natsuya's like "of course not. this is for me, you gotta wait until next year xD" and then ikuya just fucking SNATCHES up several different foods and stuffs his face with all of them and natsuya starts arguing with him over them laskjdfoawiefjao where was this brotherly affection all this time?????

and then cut to a few seconds later, natsuya's bumming in his room on the floor like in s3 when ikuya comes in and tells him about his new future goals and alskdjfaoei brothers sharing their ambitions together 😩😩 WHAT IS GOING ON. EVERYONE GETS ALONG SO WELL NOW???

NEXT: we'll go back to the beginning i guess lmfao but they're preparing for some sort of university festival

we start off with an easily misunderstandable shoujo-style situation where asahi is talking to ikuya like, "i know it's your first time... you don't have to be nervous. i know you can do it." and ikuya's like "no! i can't 😣" like the tsun he is backed up against the wall. and then it turns out they're trying to make a mille feuille cake.... but everything he's made so far looked like crepes

and for some damn reason, KISUMI comes outta nowhere into the kitchen and is like "ooooh what's this? a mille feuille cake? although they all look kinda like crepes haha ^^" and then ikuya RUNS THE FUCK OUT OF THE KITCHEN, yelling, "i told you i couldn't do it!!!" like the fucking tsun he is... and asahi is yelling at kisumi like "why did you just say that!!!" and starts rubbing his knuckles into kisumi's head and kisumi's just laughing like, "oh did i do that hehe"

and for some reason... seijuurou is working at the booth in his speedo and swim team jacket. i mean i'm not complaining but sir.... PLS TAKE MY MONEY AND GIVE ME YOUR FAT OCTOPUS BALLS. (he literally started a batter mixing competition with hoshikawa inside the booth, like what are they even doing in the same booth???)

then rin and sousuke show up to ikuya, asahi, and hiyori(?)'s booth, and they're offering them the crepes and then they get into a conversation about smth that leads into them showing the embarrassing photos they have of each other?????? like ikuya has a pic of rin in his maid costume for some reason??? (tho it isn't shown) and rin shows an embarrassing pic of ikuya he has in his phone that he got from natsuya???????????? and then ikuya starts chasing after rin yelling at him to delete it lasdkjfoaei

and then haru is off to the side selling ugly ass bird mascots again lmfao. bc ofc he is. love that weirdo

BUT THE REAL KICKER HERE IS KINJOU!!!!!!!!!!!

APPARENTLY, HIS VILLAIN BACKSTORY COMES FROM HIS CHILDHOOD CRUSH (/exaggerated) ON HIYORI ALSKDJFOAIE WHAAAT. apparently he was that annoying kid in the playground who would go up to hiyori and bother him bc he wanted a friend. bb hiyori was literally like "why are you even talking to me so much?" in his sandbox. and bb kinjou is like, "well there's gotta be smth you like, right? what is it?" and hiyori's like "well i feel kinda happy when i'm swimming... :)" as images of ikuya flash into his mind, that gay ass

BUT KINJOU'S GAY ASS EYES START SPARKLING TOO AND THEN HE'S LIKE "I GOTTA LEARN WHAT THE BIG DEAL ABOUT SWIMMING IS" and he runs home, begs his brother to take him to the pool. but next time he brings his swimming stuff with him to the playground, hiyori isn't there anymore and apparently he left for america at that time (or smth). so poor baby basically got ghosted

but hiyori still knows him when they're older!!!! kinjou shows up when they're throwing out the trash after the uni festival and calls out to hiyori to taught him (which is where that bullying preview scene came from i guess) and alkfjeoiaejoaifj omfg it's like that estranged childhood friends (sorta) trope but it'll never go kinjou's way bc hiyori is and will always be in love with ikuya 😔

kinjou would make such a good yandere tho!!!! he has a feral expression on a few times throughout the movie, and during a race he gets super competitive mid-race and... ngl he was kinda sexy 😳 i'm actually kind of surprised by how taken i was with him in this movie. doesn't help that he's unfairly handsome and his hair looks fucking amazing. i MAY OR MAY NOT be exploring this man in the future..................

i also found the ending with haru pretty interesting!!!! it kind of hints at neurodivergence? smth along the lines of disassociation or multiple personalities? (guess 50% off was kinda right on that end lmfao).

he gets obsessed with beating albert wahlander, which is the most fired up i've ever seen him (to the point of almost hurting himself) and then the shadow or whatever effect albert has on haru kind of just overtakes him and pushes haru out of his own body in a way... it doesn't make sense to describe it this way, i know, but haru is literally watching himself say hurtful things to his friends while being overtaken by this... albert obsessed persona?

it's so interesting to see haru being the one obsessing over someone instead of the other way around for once!!! at the end of the movie (after all the credits) haru says the same thing he once said at the beginning of season 1? about how "at age 5, you're a prodigy. at age 15, you're a genius. at age 20(?), you're average." and this is def gonna be explored/concluded in the second part of the final stroke movie so i'm excited for that!!!! april 2022 come at me!!!!

there were SOOOOO many other things going on, plot wise and fanservice wise, and ofc kyoto animation was fucking TOP TIER SHIT. all the water effects... there was a shot where haru was looking at his reflection in the water and they make a drop fall and spread and shake his reflection in the waves and it was lafkjsefoiaeja fucking glorious. the soundtrack was lovely too. there was a RADWIMPS-esque beginning song and a sexy ass electric guitar buildup for kinjou (which may or may not be contributing to my growing obsession with him...)

AHHHH!!!! it was so good and everyone was so cute and handsome and gay and funny. we literally see every single character we've met before in some way, shape, or form lmfao. i might just go back to the theater and watch it again on one of the upcoming holidays this week.... SO GOOD. SO GOOD.
