Bruce finally feels settled in his role as batman. Dick just went to college, the Justice league is doing well and he's got a new Robin. So he decides it's finally time he made his parents proud and finish medical school (and totally not because he wants to be in college at the same time as dick, that's ridiculous Alfred).

Obviously since he's the prince of Gotham he can't really go to Gotham U without being recognized or harassed and since he owns half the buildings he knows he won't be treated fairly so he decides to study in Metropolis.

This is how he ends up in a communication and ethics elective class with a Clark kent, a journalist for the daily planet who is getting his PhD. They slowly develop from strangers to study buddies and maybe even more while Bruce balances academic pressure, with being batman and a dad to dick 2.0 jason.

As the year goes on and he has to deal with assignments, group projects, literal teenagers and not always being perfect Clark's apartment slowly becomes a safe space as he learns to ask for help and accept change.

#agh I’m so so nervous but I’m big and strong and you all agree with me <3 #plus it’s nearly 6 in the morning and I pulled an all nighter to finish this. which I’m sure is not helping my stress levels At All!#ALSO!#I’m gonna do another one!#you will NEVER know which picture so get fuckin ready HELLLLLLLLL yeah!!!#<- as for those of you who were Present when I said which picture I was gonna do. ummmmm. shut up! say nothing!!#ALSO…..2!!#wanted to share how I did the scuff marks cuz I felt like it. and also I said I was gonna do it. anyway!#what you wanna do is get a real textured brush. ideally something pencil adjacent #and a mid grey color #and with LIGHT pressure you follow the edges of whatever metal bit you’re rendering #you can go a little heavier on the corners if you desire #from the corners you take a smudge tool and gently blend in the opposite direction of the corner if that makes sense #and then take an eraser (IDEALLY one that’s the same as your rendering brush)#and gently erase back towards the corner. but with a much smaller brush size #add little scratches and pick marks as you please #and that’s it #you know maybe this would make more sense with an actual diagram I’m so so bad at explaining stuff agh #I’m gonna shut the hell up now 🙏#trigun #nicholas d. wolfwood #trigun stampede #trigun fanart

*grabs you by the scruff of your neck* CHILD. LISTEN. All nighters won’t help you. To study more efficiently you GOTTA sleep. Hell, naps will probably work to an extent. But your brain needs rest and NO looking at your little digital critters doesn’t count as REST… that’s just a much needed rest.

#I’m speaking as a college student #i don’t pull all nighters because it just stresses your brain #also doing work for hours at a time to study wont help either #you need breaks #it’s like eating #you can’t eat all your meals in one sitting or else your stomach gets full #your brain needs at least some time to sort through the info before you can take another bite #anyways.#back to work.#speck rambles #college tips #i have more study tips but like. sometimes i don’t use them so. grain of salt and all that

i feel like my life is falling apart and then my friend makes tiramisu and gives me some and asks if i wanna come to the little gathering on wednesday i feel alone in the world and then another friend asks if i want anything i feel unloveable and then we gather in my room with candles and blankets to watch a film all together until midnight it all becomes so much warmer w friends

#i feel like it'll all be nothing and then over a call he says his friends are proud of me. it all feels too messy to fix and she says she #believes in me . theres a layer of seperation between everything and then she puts her hands through mine. we listen to music together #they drag me to the gym. he carries my bag when the groceries are too heavy. she says she has a special ringtone #for when i call her so she knows to answer. and she asks me for advice and tells me about the girl hes seeing and #were about to put a coffee table in the living room i ask if they want tea #we need to buy more throw pillows and blankets. the mattress we have for guests is used often #sometimes i get tunnel vision but i have reasons to be happy #and im rly grateful #i was in bed today feeling so horribly guilty about having to take an extention and my professor sent an email hoping that i was and to tell #him when i feel better etc. and said hed send a recording of the lecture for me . it like #moved me so much that i started remembering all the lovely thibgs #anyway i havent slept #im grateful for the extension but i alrdy pulled the all nighter djdh ok lecture at 4pm we can sleep until like...2pm

well I think communication and interpretation in any form are the greatest cardinal sins. and that all who speak or write or sign in words are condemned to an eternity of coldest silence after death. for the crime of dressing the world in the rags of symbolic language rather than letting it be nakedly free from intersubjectivity. i myself shudder at the endless dark that awaits me for even daring to mutter this. but that's my opinion about it.

i might be so legitimately fucked if i cant finish the 12 page research paper thats due tomorrow that i havent started (because ive been working on other assignments, to be clear) because i fucking forgot half of it is a contract paper and if it’s not turned in on time i get kicked out of the college inside my university that im in 🧍‍♂️

im fucking past needing thoughts and prayers, i need divine intervention
