mdni. not proofread. quick drabble. happy holidays ❤️.
christmas eve, kento finally came home from a long, hard day working late only to find you, his most insatiable wife, in the living room seated on the plush carpet, right next to the white christmas tree and fireplace with a red ribbon tied around your well-endowed breast with a neat bow in the front, the ends of the bow flowing down the middle of your exposed belly. you paired the bow with a red, lace, crotchless victoria secret thong. next to you sat a can of whipped cream and a platter of chocolate covered strawberries. kento drinks in the erotic sight splayed before him with a satisfied smirk tugging at his lips.
“merry christmas, ken. you get to open one gift tonight… i chose out the one for you,” you speak, your tone seductive as you wave your hand up and down your body with a sly smirk across your juicy lips. you look up at him with a sultry gaze as he approaches your awaiting figure by you all’s beautifully decorated christmas tree that is adorned with a plethora of wrapped gifts.
“you are going to be the death of me darling,” he chuckles as he shakes his head.
it doesn’t take long for him to unwrap his gift; work clothes abandoned and tossed across the living room, your ribbon now being used to tie your hands behind your back as your ass is now arched into the air while kento uses your super convenient thong as an anchor to slam you back onto his overwhelming large length, your plump ass rippling with each connection of his hips to your backside. the tip of his shaft deliciously making out with the top of your cervix, resulting in you screaming out in complete bliss as he continues to ravish you from behind.
“nooo, honey. this is what you wanted right??? take it. take all of this dick, sweetie. being such a haaa fuckk- good little slut for me mmmf.” he coos sweet, degrading nothings as he takes you from behind in the most filthy way possible. with your hands tied behind your back, you cant do anything but continue to take what he gives you.
his thrusts became slower and begin to push deeper into you, his cock perfectly massaging that spongy spot against your velvety walls.
“fu-fu-fuck! oh, baby you so deep b-baby. oooo fuck! im gonna c- ohhhhh fuckkkk…” your words cut off by your moans and the lewd sounds of your sopping pussy taking every pump that he gives it.
he leans his muscular frame over your back, reaching down and pulling you up by your head, holding onto your hair and throat as he talks directly into your ear, his tone is filled with nothing but lust and dominance.
“uh uh, princess… talk to me. tell me what you want so i can give you what you need, baby.” his hips digging into your backside as he pushes deeper inside of you, keeping his same slow & antagonizing rhythm. ken smirks against your ear as he continues digging inside you, knowing that this rhythm is what will push you over the edge. the sound of your and his current union acts as background music to the loud sounds of your voice letting off sweet pleas into the air.
“gonna cum, baby- oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck ohhh!” your declaration cut short as your orgasm takes over you, your stomach muscles tightening as your pussy flutters around his veiny length. your eyes roll into the back of your head as you get lost in your very intense orgasm, a small bit of clear liquid leaking out of your pussy onto the inside of your thighs and down kento’s pelvis as he prolongs your orgasm with his punishing slow stroke while he also talks you through your orgasm, worshipping you for how much of a good cocksleeve you are being for him. once you start to come down from your high a small bit, you are immediately dragged back up into it, moaning his name repeatedly like a sultry mantra as he picks up his speed, fucking you into overstimulation for a bit more. your gummy walls eagerly suctioning him inside as he drives into your snug pussy mercilessly before quickly pulling out of you, hastily flipping you onto your back and fisting his dick one, two, three more times before he shoots out his milky ropes of hot cum onto your body, landing upon your beautiful face and breast, as he lets out a primal growl of ecstasy while he undergoes his own orgasm.
as you breathe heavily and start to properly come down from your high, your eyes drift up to the clock that hangs above your fireplace, seeing that it is now 12:38am… christmas day.
“oh! merry christmas, baby” you softly say with a sweet smile upon your plump lips as you look up into your husband’s eyes.
“merry christmas, my love” ken replies, leaning down to softly peck your lips before laying his body down in between your legs. the warmth from the fireplace keeping you all comfortable as you lay on the plush carpet in your living room.
finally, ken breaks the comfortable silence and heavy breathing that filled the living room, “cmon, lets get cleaned up so we can put on our matching pajamas and open our presents,” he calmly says as he pushes himself off the floor, helping you up as he does so.
hope yall enjoyed that!! merry christmas, my loves! here’s just a little something to hold yall over for the holidays. I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANK YOU FOR 300 NOTES AND 250 FOLLOWERS AHHHH!!❤️

You’re insecure (don’t know what for.)
Wanda Maximoff x fem!reader.
*Credit to the owner of the gif.*
A/N: Here’s a little Christmas gift for you all!! 🎄🎁 I hope you enjoy and I apologize for any mistakes! Also comments, reblogs, shares and likes are super appreciated, thank you! :) (p.s I didn’t really proofread this as much because I was getting self conscious and yeah. Happy reading!)
Word count: 1,698.
Masterlist
It was a Friday night and you were lounging in your apartment feeling like the absolute scum of the earth over bouts of insecurity arising in you over some comments made about you throughout the past few weeks.
Comments about how Wanda was too good for you.
How she was way out of your league and how people were clueless as to why she was with you. How a stunning woman like her, could be with someone as simple looking as you.
Thoughts that you yourself have had with your girlfriend basically being a walking goddess and all, how could you not let your mind stray to think those things when you've seen firsthand more attractive people vying for her attention.
So there you were feeling like utter shit while playing video games, when a call from an unknown number came into your phone.
"Hello?" You answer cautiously.
"Y/N?" You hear exclaimed through the phone, having a hard time hearing due to the music blasting from the other side of the call.
"Yeah. Yeah, it's me, who is this?" You ask not immediately recognizing the voice.
"Hey, it's me, Nat," the voice supplies, "my phone died so I'm using someone else's. Anyway, so you know how we went out to the bar to grab a few drinks? Well, as we were making our way back to your place, your girlfriend found a club and made her way inside. She's on the dance floor crying, she won't let me take her home, she wants you," Natasha yells through the speaker causing you to immediately stand up and begin looking for your keys.
"Is she okay?" You ask worriedly, your movements halting momentarily.
"Yeah, yeah, she's fine, just super drunk," Natasha says, her voice muffled by the sounds around her. "Hey, no Wanda, get off of there, you can't do that!" You suddenly hear Natasha say and you hurry your movements once again, "listen, we're at the Avengers Night Club in uptown, it’s not too far from your place so there's no rush, but the faster you're here, the better. So please, don't take too long," the redhead pleads and you nod, realizing after a moment she can't see you.
"Uh, yeah, don't worry. I'll be there as soon as I can, thank you Nat," you say appreciatively.
"No worries, see you soon," she replies breathless, "Wanda, oh my god, no you can't eat that, that's a candle-" you hear suddenly and the call disconnects.
When you locate your keys you hastily make your way out of your apartment and into your car. The 10 minute drive to the club feeling eternal.
When you finally reach your destination you park your car and make your way inside the club, immediately finding Natasha.
"Nat!" You exclaim over the music.
"Hey!" The redhead turns to greet you pulling you into a hug.
"Where is she?" You ask Wanda's best friend when you pull back.
The shorter woman frowns, "wait, what the fuck, she was just here a minute ago!" She yells over the music, eyes scanning the club and immediately landing on your girlfriend that is taking shots with a group of people across the bar from where you stand, "there she is!" Natasha says, finger pointing in Wanda's direction.
Once you spot her you nod and with Natasha make your way towards your girlfriend, trying your best not to bump into people in the process. As soon as you reach Wanda, you immediately realize she is much drunker than you have ever seen her be in the two years that you've been together.
"Hey Wanda, Y/N is here, let's get you home," Natasha says as she gathers your girlfriend into her arms.
"That's not gonna work Natty, I know she's not here, you've been saying that all night you little liar," Wanda singsongs, bopping Natasha's nose, causing the redhead to roll her eyes in annoyed amusement.
"I'm serious Wands, she's right there," Natasha says as she turns the redhead to face you.
"Oh, my god! Baby!" Wanda exclaims excitedly, hands thrown up in the air, a drunken smile on her lips.
"Hey Max," you greet with an amused chuckle.
"New friends, hey, hey," Wanda says, waving at the other patrons she was drinking with, "this is my amazingly beautiful girlfriend Y/N Y/L/N," she beams, pulling you in by your waist to introduce you to the group of strangers.
"Hey!" The group exclaimed loudly.
"Hey," you say softly, waving shyly at the sudden attention.
"Aren't you just the cutest thing," you hear Wanda say, turning to face her and you see green eyes glossed over with adoration and love, "my beautiful baby, my stunning lover, I love you so much," she yells, voice full of affection.
"How much have you had to drink, amor?" You ask, blushing red.
"I'm not drunk," Wanda slurs, and you raise a challenging eyebrow, "okay, I am drunk. Drunk in love," she says with a dopey smile.
You shake your head, "okay, you're definitely wasted," you say with a laugh.
"No. No, I'm not baby. You really are my beautiful lover. So so beautiful," she pouts, hands cradling your face as tears gloss over in her green eyes. "I really wish you could see yourself the way I see you my love, because you're so stunning. You think I'm the most beautiful person you've ever seen, but that's bullshit! You are the most beautiful person ever! You're so amazing Y/N, you make me so happy and you're so nice, all my friends love you, you treat me like a queen. You're perfect," Wanda says, tears rolling down her face, "I just- I love you so much," she says as she begins sobbing into her hands.
"Okay amor mio, let's get you going," you say, gathering Wanda into your arms as you begin to make your way out of the nightclub. "Hey Nat you good, do you need a ride or something?" You ask the redhead once you make it outside.
"No, I'm good, I think I might stay a little longer, I definitely just saw someone check me out and I want to see where that goes," she smirks and you chuckle, "you just get home safe and call me if you need me alright?" Natasha says as she pulls you and your girlfriend into a hug.
"Yeah sure, thank you," you say appreciatively, "and if you need anything please don't hesitate to call," the redhead nods her head and makes her way back into the club as you walk to your car. After placing Wanda in the passenger side, you buckle her in and make the drive back to your apartment.
Getting Wanda into your home seems to be a much more difficult task than you anticipated, the redhead more asleep than awake to properly walk, the alcohol in her system causing her to slightly sway back and forth as you take her up to the apartment.
Once you make it inside you take Wanda to your room, laying her down softly on the bed as you begin her nightly routine.
First you take off her shoes, placing them in your closet. Then you grab one of your t-shirts for her to sleep in. Taking off her dress being nearly impossible as Wanda softly snores.
Once you complete your mission and dress your girlfriend you make your way to your bathroom to grab some makeup removing wipes. As you sit beside your girlfriend you begin gently cleaning off the make-up Wanda wore, your soft swipes across her face causing the redhead to stir awake.
"Hmm, baby, what are you doing?" Wanda asks, voice thick, full of sleep.
"Just taking your makeup off amor, go back to sleep," you whisper, continuing with your task.
"It's okay, leave it on, just lay with me," your girlfriend pouts, tugging on your arm to pull you into bed beside her and you chuckle softly.
"I will in a bit Max, let me just take this off so you can sleep comfortably," you smile as Wanda's eyes slowly open, unshed tears building in her beautiful green eyes. "Hey. Hey, what's wrong?" You ask slowly, a look of confusion on your face at your girlfriend's sudden change in mood.
"You're so good to me baby. So good," Wanda whispers, tears pouring down her face.
Cupping her face gently you wipe her tears away, "hey, none of that Wands, you're my girl. I love taking care of you and you do the same for me, so it's all good," you say smiling softly.
“I don't know what I did to deserve you, but you're everything to me,” Wanda sobs, voice full of emotion, "and don't think I haven't noticed how in your head you have gotten as of late. I know you, and I know what people have been saying has been affecting you. But just know that I put them in their place and that I love you and only you detka, I don't care what they have to say, you are my person and they can all fuck off if they think you’re no good for me, because they don’t know you the way I do,” she monologues. “They don’t know how truly happy you make me. They don’t know how well you take care of me. They don’t know that just by being with you it makes me want to be a better person. They don’t know anything, my love,” she says and you let out a sob.
“God, I love you so much Max, you don’t know how happy I am to hear you say that,” you say, crying.
“You’re it for me detka, before you I wasn’t truly living, it’s like everything was preparing me for this moment, now come on, get in bed, let’s go to sleep,” Wanda says as she takes your hands, pulling you into the space beside her.
As you crawl in behind her, you wrap your arms around her frame, “I love you Wanda,” you whisper, placing a chaste kiss on her forehead.
“I love you, my love,” she replies before you both drift off to sleep.

RISK
He never believed in Christmas miracles. But if at this moment right now was his only chance–then he will desperately cling onto it as if it was the only thing that mattered in his life.
c. kinich x gn!reader
t. childhood friends to lovers, mild violence (abyss attack, but very short,) no use of y/n, cliche tropes YES i know is it really a knnichs work if theres no cliche stuff, wc: 3.4k
merry christmas, @papiliotao !! i was your secret santa 🧑🎄 this is a bit lengthy but i do hope you like it 🧡
Kinich certainly isn’t the type to befriend others.
Not unless it was something formed out of a transaction–or a commission. In this case, his friendship with Mualani was only formed because she was looking for a battle advisor to train Kachina against the wilderness, she said. In the end, he had grown rather fond of them, and gained two new acquaintances that day.
Outside of that, Kinich doesn’t exactly recall when he befriended other people. Sometimes a few people would pass by him while he walked around the tribe and greet him, it is quite embarrassing to say that he doesn’t remember half of their names, if they had never become one of his clients.
You, on the other hand, haven't disappeared from his mind a single day ever since middle school.
BEFORE THE NIGHT FALLS
He remembered the exact moment he got to know you. When his parents had left him as a kid, Kinich went to find a place to live and settle down as he did his work. He had just found shelter in the Scions of the Canopy, and under Elder Liek’s guidance, he was to go to school. Even if he hesitated, he was eventually forced to, the Elder wouldn’t let him help out around the tribe without it. There, he learnt about heroes and their morals–I mean, he questioned it: why would they do something when they wouldn’t profit from it?
In those classes, the other kids would make fun of him. Point at his ragged clothing made out of animal-skin, comment on his dirty feet, since he was always barefoot. You, always his knight in shining armor, called out their behavior and told them that they weren’t being nice.
Truly a reason of all time, he thinks. Those kids would surely quit their teasing simply because they weren’t being nice.
But he appreciated the gesture. You stood in front of him–arms on your hips, you were determined to drive them away so they could stop picking on people smaller than them. He just looked up at you, (with what he hoped it wasn't a blank expression) curious why you decided to defend someone like him. He had nothing to offer you–he had no mora, no luxurious items. So, why?
He wanted to ask you before the day ended. Following your footsteps until you were in the middle of the bridge. From there, you would learn his name was Kinich, and he would know what yours was (along with the reason why you decided to ‘protect’ him from that group of kids.) From there, you two would grow quite fond of each other over the years.
He knew he had always adored your kindness, even if it was towards people you barely knew–you somehow always managed to bring a smile to their face and a full heart to come home with. Once, he saw you help a crying child find their play sword–you knew nothing of her, aside from her name, of course. You found that their sword was thrown all the way down to the river below, it was far from saving–the wood was scratched and torn into halves. So, ‘as any normal human being would do’ (in your words,) you spent the next few hours creating a makeshift sword for them, one that had star stickers and a ribbon wrapped around its handle.
The kid came home happy to their parents, of course. Boasting about how wonderfully made their new wooden sword was and how this was the first step for them to join the pilgrimage. Her parents only shared a look that was saying ‘thank you.’ You simply smiled and waved, leaving them to enter their home as the kid rushed inside.
That was all you got, simple two words anyone can utter, and you were happy. You didn’t get mora, you didn’t get any sweets, nor did you get any special treatment. Thank you, it was all you’re going to get for something you spent hours on.
It would be a lie not to say Kinich wasn’t puzzled by your behavior. Somehow, even after he had long graduated from Elder Liek’s class he doesn’t understand. Why do you do these things for free? If that were him, he would have charged them an enough amount of mora just because the work took hours already.
Later on, he would realize you did this simply because you think some things in this world are worth doing–no matter how much it would cost you. And a few years after, just before the next pilgrimage, there was an abyss ambush that almost ended with you hurt.
The sky was dark with a purple fog sabotaging your vision. The smell of smoke from a fire slowly starting to grow, its ashes filled your lungs and burned your eyes. You take another shirt and ran—ran from your home, and the tribe.
Kinich was away at the time, blissfully unaware of the attack until it was already resolved. He doesn’t quite recall what he was doing before it. All he remembers is the feeling of his heart dropping to his stomach as he heard the fellow tribespeople say you were missing. Had a rifthound laid its claws on you? Where were you?
He would grapple across the forest, letting the branches scratch his skin as he travels, his heart rate increasing at the thought of you getting trapped, wounded—or dead, even. He can’t let that happen, not when he hasn’t told you everything.
Thankfully, he found you seeking refuge in a cave nearby. A few saurians found their way in your arms, a baby yumkasaur fast asleep on your lap.
“Are you hurt?” Kinich steps towards you, observing you quite intently for any injuries you may have gotten. You shake your head, petting the yumkasaur on its head.
He finds a spot beside you, slouching as he can finally relax, at least a little. He still has to help out later with the damages. Fix a few tents that were broken, check up on the other tribespeople—but you were his top priority.
“I’m fine. Are you seeing this little guy? So. Cute.” You say, only sparing him a glance in his direction before focusing on that yumkasaur once again.
“Yeah,” he whispers. “Cute.”
FEAR
His friend group which consisted of only two people (excluding the dragon he carries around,) were only Mualani and Kachina. Those two were the only ones who truly understood Kinich’s method of maneuvering around the battlefield, pricing commissions, haggling–really, a few tricks in the book he has, they know about it. You’re no fighter, nor are you an errand person, you don’t know how to do any of these, so seeing Kinich do it himself may be surprising enough for you–but it’s really something he does normally.
You do know how Kinich thinks. How the little gears in his brain move, the quick shift in expression before it turns back to his resting face, how he truly feels in each situation–you’ve learnt how to read him. It may just be because you have good observational skills (which he dreads, for multiple reasons) or the two of you have spent enough time with each other to know what the other is feeling with a single glance, either way, Kinich isn’t as comfortable with it.
You can read how he felt, and he’s never felt that vulnerable in his entire life. He felt like no matter how much he tried to run from you, somehow–there's always a somehow with you–he still can’t hide anything from your ‘prying’ gaze. You know what makes him tick, what makes him smile, to the point that he wonders if you know how he truly felt about you.
If you can read minds (and gods, Kinich hopes you can’t,) he wonders if you’ve already heard of the things he mutters to the moon at night, and the sun at day. Have you heard of the sacred promises he keeps close to his heart? That he would guard you until his dying breath? That under the moonlight, there was nothing he would wish for more than your presence beside him. Grounding the poor boy's heart in the moment only you two share.
If you somehow have the power to look at someone's past memories, would you see the times he would pick up the guitar collecting dust in the corner of his room, play a cheesy love song from years ago and hum along to the tune thinking of you? There are far too many times he somehow finds a way to make a situation about you. It could be when he’s about to bungee jump, he finds himself tightening the harness a little more because he knows you wouldn’t want to live in a world without him. A few times when he’d go on commissions and look at the flowers, sit on the top of the cliff and watch as the sun set thinking how much more magical the moment would be if you saw this with him. Would you think it was pretty? How would the sun’s rays reflect on your eyes? Will it glow the same bright color that you bring to his monochrome world?
Sa isang munting harana, para sa’yo.
This meager serenade, just for you.
He can’t offer you anything. Nothing but his entire soul—his vow, to protect you, no matter the cost. Even as he bears the name Malipo, just a smile coming from you would already be more than enough for him.
And maybe someday, one day, he would have the courage to tell you the truth he’d been hiding all these years.
‘PRESENT’ TIME
“Kachina, there’s a few stockings on that table over there. Could you get it for me?” Mualani sat atop a chair, trying to hang decorations for your group’s Christmas party. It's not anything big, it wasn't meant to be that extravagant. All of you would just celebrate the holiday as it was, like what you did every year.
The fireplace burned through the night, its flames becoming the main lighting of the room. It was bright enough for Mualani to see what she was doing exactly, and warm enough that it felt like a normal sunny day in Natlan. It was often cold during the winter, and although it doesn’t snow, the temperature does drop a little colder than usual.
“Here you go!” The girl handed four stockings–all personalized with your names embroidered on them. In green was Kinich’s name, yellow for Kachina, blue for Mualani’s, and yours in purple. With that in mind, you noticed a light green line of thread that resembled half a shape–curved at the top, and straight at the bottom. Kachina had a few sparkles on hers, and Mualani had the shape of a shark. You shake off the detail, deeming it unnecessary anyway.
Mualani gave her thanks and hung up the stockings all in order–her’s, Kachina’s, Kinich’s, and yours.
“This place is definitely starting to look lively. How much time do we have left until midnight?” You asked, sitting down on the world’s comfiest couch.
“About an hour, we still have time to set up the bonfire outside too.” Kinich looked at the clock–it's frames decorated with reindeer antlers and a small yellow bell. You smiled at him, whispering a small thank you, and looking back at Mualani (who you were quite worried about, since you’re sure she might fall over the chair at any point.) Kachina was also quite occupied, scouring the place to find… something.
After a bit more adjusting–the stockings were set up, the cookies are almost done, a few dishes have been spread out on the table already, and the marshmallows are just on the table. Perfect, there was just one more thing left.
“Shoot. Hey, uh, can you and Kinich go get the fairy lights? It’s by Altahua’s net.” She climbed down from the chair and faced you, “You know her, right? Yelafath?”
“Sure do, I’ll just leave my bag here–watch over my stuff!” You say, placing your belongings by the place you sat on the couch. “Kinich, let's go?”
Outside, it was much, much colder than usual. The wind blowing accompanied by the amount of water that was near the tribe was enough to make you shiver. You and the boy made your way to the shop, you’ve only conversed with Yelafath maybe two or three times? But so long as you mention Mualani’s name, you’re sure that it’ll go okay. You rubbed your hands together and brought them to your mouth, huffing it in hopes that it'll magically turn warm. Hearing the sounds of clothes shuffling, you turn to your side and see Kinich already handing his jacket to you.
“Quick, before Ajaw gets sick of being locked up,” He muttered.
“Afraid he’ll tease you? Oh, what a softie you’ve become!”
“Just take it.” He stands behind you, stretching out the fabric to make it easier for you to slip right in. You were getting warm because of the jacket, it definitely wasn’t because of him.
And it all falls back to silence once again. Save for the sounds of waves crashing and the occasional gust of wind. You don’t mind the quiet, actually, and Kinich wasn’t the type to keep on talking all the time either–preferring to be blunt and straightforward. But this is different, it wasn’t because he had ended a conversation too early that you don’t know what to say so it would continue, because you loved hearing his voice, you loved hearing him talk whatever was on his mind. His attitude towards it sometimes made you upset, feeling a little distant with him every time it happened, but you do know it was just the way he does things. The quiet that falls upon the two of you is comfortable.
All of it has to come to an end, eventually finding the shop. You hopped to the counter, calling for the girl who was arranging things in the crates.
“Evening, Yelafath! Mualani mentioned that she had fairy lights with you?”
“Fairy lights? Oh, I don’t think she gave me any, sorry.” She looks around the shop, looking for something to give you, but shrugs instead. “I wish I could give you something similar, but we have nothing, we’re also closing for the day.”
“Ah, no, that’s okay. Thank you, and merry christmas! I’ll just tell her.” You smiled, giving her a wave. Kinich simply nodded, crossing his arms and following you behind. She greeted you back, and you faced the house once more, the lights of the shop behind you dimming before turning off–leaving you and Kinich in the complete darkness of the night. Some stalls were still open, the only few things really illuminating your way were the lamp posts and lanterns scattered across the platforms.
“Where will we celebrate the next Christmas?” You shuffle with the jacket again, raising the sleeves upwards to bring your hand out. The stars were so bright with the mix of blue and purple from the galaxies above,
“It’s our turn next year, we’ll be the ones hosting it. I hope you’re not sick of me yet,” He chuckles–albeit quite softly. It’s rare to hear him laugh let alone smile with or to other people. But with you, oh, everything is just so easy with you. He can always let his guard down without any fear of you trying to make fun of him. Even on days when he comes to you battered and bruised from a particularly rough commission, you take the time out of your day to care for him. To treat his wounds, focusing your attention on him that he shies away from your touch, insisting that you were doing too much and it could heal on its own.
One step after the other, letting the salt air brush against you.
And it once again, falls into silence.
Ajaw does come into the picture once more after his 15 minute jail time was lifted, and thankfully fills the air with random and the most unnecessary comments.
You ring the doorbell to the house, tapping your feet impatiently in a not-so-coordinated rhythm while waiting for anyone to answer the door.
“Mualani, Kachina–” you shout, “HELLO? The lights are on, I know you guys are in there!”
“Seems like your so-called friends abandoned you two. How long until something goes wrong? Oh, I can already smell it! I, K’uhul Ajaw, will ensure that this world will know exactly what loneliness feels like, starting with you two!”
Your arms lay slack on your sides, breathing a heavy sigh. You knock again, one more, twice–until you just start slamming your fist on the door calling them repeatedly. You shiver from the cold wind and eventually give up. Backing away to face your friend, who was unusually, still quiet.
“Kinich?” You say his name, ever so soft. His eyes dared not to look at you, in fear of showing exactly what he shoved deep down in his chest for the past few years you two knew each other.
“Ew, that’s gross! Don’t give him those lovey-dovey eyes! You’ll give him ideas, you hear me?! Quit that, you’re both so annoying!” Ajaw says, all while retching, “You know what? You’re both insufferable. I’m leaving!”
Some part of Kinich does wonder what exactly needed to happen for you to fall with him. He deemed it unlikely for three years now, saying that you couldn’t possibly. Not with someone like him–blood stained on his hands for his entire life, not for someone with rough, calloused hands that can expertly wield a claymore. Kinich has never felt something as delicate and gentle as you. The moment you tried to defend him from those immature kids–he knew. You would never hurt him, not once in a million lifetimes. With your gentle soul? You were filled with nothing but kindness and innocent hope. You were that glimmer of light he needed in his darkest time, the feeling he needed in his chest to keep going forward–to keep fighting, all for your smile.
Your eyes dart to where he was looking at, curious enough to ask yourself what exactly has him so speechless at the moment.
Oh.
Oh.
A cheap wreath with that familiar red bow, and the two of you just happen to be standing just right under it.
He never believed in Christmas miracles. But if at this moment right now was his only chance–then he will take it. He will desperately cling onto it as if it was the only thing that mattered in his life, and hold it tightly, sure not to let it go.
Being in his arms was nothing new, he’s done this several times as a way to comfort you when you were down, or vice versa. This, however, is different. As if an orchestra directed a symphony of a familiar and comforting tune–one that he used to hum you to sleep during those restless nights. As if you were brought back to the times you sat with him under the starry sky, pointing at bright white dots. The universe is vast and magical, and somehow, somehow, it gave him you. The only sun he ever needed in his bleary sky, the only drops of rain he needed on a hot day, the gust of wind during humid afternoons, the flower that bloomed through the cracks of the concrete.
He pulls away. Gently, he repeats in his mind, this was a high-risk situation.
But for you, he would gladly take it.
Kinich looks at you, worry filling his heart–is this the right choice? Even with this amount of hesitation, he pushes through. No matter the outcome, he will live knowing he had you at least once in his life. Gods, you looked angelic. The lampost from the porch illuminates you in a warm orange–exactly the color you had filled his monochrome world with. He brings a hand to your chin, tilting it upwards, muttering only two simple words.
“Can I?”
“I told ya it’d work,” Mualani said, proudly huffing as Kachina hides in the corner of the room in embarrassment. “Now, I’ll be taking my mora from the traveller right after this. Not a word, Kachina, got it?”
She only nods in agreement.

Just a Sprain
Tim x reader
WC: 1200 ish
For @whumpcember walking on injuries
--
You’d been sitting on the couch for two hours when you heard the front door unlock.
“Hey, babe,” you greet. “How do you feel about delivery for dinner? I'm thinking maybe pizza.”
“I thought you wanted to try that new recipe you–” he stopped as he rounded the couch and took you in. “What happened?”
You leaned forward and pulled the ice pack and towel off your very swollen ankle. “Ugh, I tripped off a curb like a total klutz and then I walked on it for four blocks.”
He sat, carefully avoiding your foot, then gently rubbed his hand up and down your calf. “Why didn't you call me? I would have come to get you.”
“Well it was after lunch with Sam when we were walking to the bar and I might have already been tipsy. So it didn't really hurt at the time,” you explained.
Tim chuckled. “Of course. Does it hurt now?”
You shook your head. “No. I took some ibuprofen when I got home and I've been icing it, too.”
He took the mostly melted ice pack and stood. “ER tonight or urgent care tomorrow?”
You looked up at him, confused. “For what? I'm sure it's a sprain.”
He pulls out his phone and starts typing before he explains. “That's a lot of swelling for a sprain. You're getting x-rays to make sure it's not broken.” His phone dings and he checks the screen. “Grace says you should get in pretty quick. We can grab fast food on the way.”
You let out an exasperated sigh. “Fine. Can we get Jack in the Box?”
“Whatever you want.” He stands from the couch and turns to lift you.
You swat at his hands. “I can walk. Or hobble slowly, anyway.”
He easily lifts you into his arms. “I think you walked on it too much already.”
“I bet you it's just a sprain.”
He smiles at you. “What do I get when you're wrong?”
“Um, a foot rub?” you suggested.
He set you in the passenger seat of his truck and started to pull out the seatbelt. “And what do you get?”
You took the buckle for him and latched it. “I got it, my arms still work. I get a dressed up dinner date.”
He chuckled and closed your door. He rounded the front and hopped into the drivers seat. “Dress shirt?”
You shook your head. “Three piece suit.”
He rolled his eyes. “Okay, deal.”
Ten minutes later, he was pulling into the drive-thru and ordering your dinner.
As soon as he pulled back into traffic, you pulled out sandwiches and fries. Arranging them carefully on the center armrest, you stuffed a few fries in your mouth. “This was a better idea than cooking.”
“Of course it was. You can't stand on that ankle.”
“Well, yeah. But that’s not what I meant. I wasn't really sold on that new recipe.”
While you sat in traffic on the way to the hospital, you both finished your food. Soon after, he pulled up to the emergency room entrance. He got out and rounded the truck, lifting you again and carrying you into the waiting room.
He walked up to the desk to check you in and returned a moment later with a clipboard. “You fill this out and I'm going to go park. I'll be right back.”
Shortly after he returned, you finished all the paperwork and he returned it to the check in desk. When he sat, you leaned your head on his shoulder. He kissed the crown of your head before resting his cheek against your head. Both of you pulled out your phones to pass the time.
As Grace had promised, you didn't have to wait long. It had only been about half an hour a nurse was calling you back.
“Can we grab a wheelchair?” Tim requested.
“Oh, of course. I'll be right back.” She disappeared around the corner and then pushed the chair over to you.
Tim helped you stand on your good leg and rotate to the wheelchair.
The nurse took you back to a room and Tim helped again with getting you situated on the bed. She quickly collected a set of vitals and left with a promise that a doctor would be in soon.
Grace came into the room a couple minutes later. “Hey, guys. How are you?”
“I'm fine,” you started. “I tripped over a curb earlier and Tim thinks it's broken. I think he's paranoid.”
“Alright, well let's take a look.” She looked at your foot and carefully examined it. Once she'd checked everything over she asked, “So you said you tripped on a curb? Going up or down?”
“Down,” you explained. “I wasn't paying attention and I was closer to it than I thought and I guess, technically, kind of rolled my ankle on the top and then my foot slid and I fell. But it really didn't hurt that much. Not even after I walked four more blocks to the bar.”
She hummed. “Well let's get an x-ray and see what we've got, okay?”
“Okay.”
“They'll come get you shortly and take you down to radiology.”
“Thanks, Grace,” Tim said. “Could we get an ice pack to put on it while we wait?”
“Already on it. The nurse will bring that in–” She was interrupted by the door swinging open to reveal the same nurse that'd brought you back. “Right now.” Grace laughed. “I'll be back as soon as I get those x-rays. Just call a nurse or text me if you need anything.”
A few minutes later, a guy came in pushing a wheelchair. “Evening, I'm Matt. I'll be your ride to x-ray.”
He and Tim helped you maneuver into the wheelchair. “I should have just stayed in the one I was in a minute ago.”
“You can wait here,” Matt told Tim. “You can't go into radiology. We'll be back in a few minutes.”
Soon you were back in the same room in the ER waiting for Grace to come tell you the results of the x-ray.
“Okay, so you do have a small hairline fracture,” Grace announced as she entered. She took the x-ray and slid it onto the light board. She traced a small dark line across the bone. “I'm pretty sure it is a stress fracture from walking on the sprain.”
“Ugh. So cast?” You ask.
“No. You'll get a boot for a few weeks and then a brace after that,” she explains. “Once the fracture heals, you'll likely need some physical therapy.”
She quickly got you set up with the boot and a referral to PT. Then she got you discharged and Tim walked you back to the truck.
Once he buckled his seat belt, he looked over at you. “So, I think you owe me a foot rub.”
You roll your eyes. “Yeah, yeah. You win.”
“I'll hold off on cashing in until you're healed, deal?” He offers.
“Okay,” you agree.
He takes your hand in his. “How about some ice cream on the way home?”
“Yes, please!”

MERRY CHRISTMAS, PLEASE DON'T CALL |LN4
an: This is obviously based on merry Christmas, palase don't call by the bleachers, which I have on repeat ever since it came out. Ik this is a bit depressing, but in a suckered for angst so you can't blame me. This is from the readers point for view.
w.c.: 1.3k
December 25th, Christmas.
Outside, the snow was falling softly, the glow of the streetlights casting a yellow glow over it. Her apartment was cold and dark and awfully quiet. Up until a few hours ago, the living room, the very room she was sitting in now, had been so warm, so full of life.
This year it had been her turn to host the annual family Christmas gathering. The chaos of it had done a good job keeping her distracted. But her family had left hours ago. Normally, said gathering would drag on well into the evening, but this year her parents had left earlier, having flown over to London on Christmas Eve and with the excuse of needing to catch up with jet lag, while her sister and husband had left as soon as Nicole, her niece had started getting sleepy.
That left her alone, in a messy apartment that suddenly seemed too warm, too bright, suffocating. It took another hour or so to clean up everything. And when everything was back to normal, she sat down on her couch in the living room, watching the snow fall outside with the lights off except for the lights on the christmas tree.
It is weird how fast time moves.
This time last year they were on their way back to his apartment from his parents house. He had taken her to meet this family, insisting that they would love her when she was nervously telling him they might think its too soon on the car ride there. And he was right. His family ended up loving her.
This time last year they were driving home, and when they’d get there, they would change into more comfortable clothes, her in hoodie that belonged to him which had a big 4 printed on the back which made Lando go crazy, and they'd settle down on the couch, covered in blankets and holding a steaming mug of hot chocolate each, while christmas movies played on the tv.
Two years ago today, she hadn’t even known he existed. Well, technically she did, since he was a famous formula 1 driver and all of that, but she’d never met him and she didn’t really care to do so. Two years ago right now, she would have been getting ready for that party her friends insisted she went to.
That’s where she met him. A Christmas party, hosted by a friend of a friend. She wasn’t big on parties, she never had been. Normally she would sit back, maybe have a drink or two but never more and wait for the time to pass until it was acceptable to leave or until one of her friends decided to ditch.
Lando was there with a girl, one he had been hooking up with at that fraction in time. And even though it wasn’t serious enough to turn into a relationship, they were friends above all and his plans had been cancelled last minute so he had decided to tag along.
Now, Lando wasn’t really a loner, quite the contrary actually but he liked to befriend the people who were a bit more closed off. Besides, he had had a lot of practice getting to know his new teammate for next year and so, as soon as he was left alone, he walked up to the first person he judged as socially awkward. That was her.
And the rest was history.
Two years later, whatever had started that night in December in a quiet corner of a party that neither of them should have really been there in the first place was long gone. Dead and buried under the pain that came with the conclusion that they couldn’t possibly work.
That’s the price that comes with being an F1 driver. And as much as they both would like to think that their relationship was full of happiness and love, the bad moments were nearly as much as the good ones. With him constantly gone and away for races and her too focused on her degree to be with him even when he wasn’t at the other side of the world made up for sure distraction.
But maybe it was because he wasn’t ready for a relationship and the commitment that came with him or maybe it was because she was new at this and didn’t know how to let him know how she really felt. But most probably it was the fact that they couldn’t communicate their feelings with each other, mainly because they weren’t used to having to do so.
Whatever it was, the outcome was the same. Her sitting alone in a quiet apartment while he was away on a winter vacation, a ski trip somewhere in the french alps with a lot of his friends that had grown to be her friends too while they were still dating.
She sighed, turning off her phone, not bearing to look at another of their friends' instagram story in which he was featured in. Lately she’d catch herself wondering how it would have been if they were still together. If they had fought for what they had instead of giving up once it all got too much.
She shouldn’t but on the nights she missed him a lot, she goes back and rereads their messages from when they were still dating. Sometimes she typed out paragraphs, asking him to talk or admitting that she never lost feelings and that she wants to try again, but she never sends them, because what would that do either way.
They weren’t good for each other. They both knew that. He was struggling with his own problems and he couldn’t find a way to let her in, really let her in. And then it was the distance too. He wasn’t present enough, and even though that wasn’t his choice, it worked against them. They weren’t what the other needed, at least not at that moment in time.
Besides, he had moved on. It hadn’t even been a full month after their breakup before he was seen out with a well known model. And even though she knew better than to believe whatever the gossip pages claimed, the idea of him moving on so quickly still hurt.
Her phone dinged with a notification. She immediately reached for it, momentarily hoping that maybe he had reached out, but frowning as soon as she saw it was just a text from one of her friends who were spending the holidays away from London.
For some reason a part of her wished that he would send her a message, saying merry christmas, maybe even asking her how’d she been. She knew it was wrong, and that it would only reopen old wounds but she couldn’t help but want a sign that he still thought about her from time to time, that he hadn’t forgotten him completely and that he still cared.
But even if he called, she didn’t know if she would be able to answer. He had put her through so much, not that he intended to, but it only proved that they weren’t right for each other.
It had been a hard decision to end things with lando. Because she loved him, she really did and she knew that he did too. But they weren’t what the other needed. In another timeline, under other circumstances they would have been perfect.
The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to cry. She shook her head, getting up and making herself a cup of chamomile tea, before settling back down on the couch, this time wrapped in a blanket, and turned on the tv ad pressing play on Love Actually, laughing a bit as she thought about lando had called it a dumb movie when she forced him to watch it with her around this time last year.
Eventually, she fell asleep right there on the couch, empty tea mug on the coffee table and with the movie playing in the background. She could almost feel the ghost of his arms around her, rubbing her back and murmuring sweet nothings into her ear as she fell asleep.
And just as the ending credits started to roll on the tv, her phone screen lit up with a notification of an unread message.

The Weasley twins Christmas headcanon
A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! I thought I’d write a Christmas headcanon since I didnt last year. I hope you all have an amazing holiday and New Year. Enjoy the fic, my horny devils.
SFW
~ The build up to the big day would be pretty hectic considering you worked at the shop with the twins
~ A constant cycle of customers asking if you had extra stock or if they could pay less was a nightmare, but it was all worth it when the twins shut the shop late Christmas eve
~ They love the idea of buying matching pyjama sets (matching is all they really know)
~ If you’re a muggle born or a half blood, you’ll show them classic christmas films like Home Alone or It's a Wonderful Life on the tv that you convinced them to try out
~ Christmas baking is a necessity
~ It doesn't even matter that the twins are terrible bakers. Magic does it for you
~ Christmas day at the Burrow is unlike anything you’ve ever known
~ Molly’s cooking definitely gets the chefs kiss award
~ Christmas is the only time you get to meet Charlie and see Bill and Fleur
~ The house is packed (Molly likes to joke that grandbabies would top things off)
~Fred and George decided to try out their new product, a small marble sized ball that grows into a snowball when combined with the engorgement charm
~ Instead of bursting into snow upon impact, they disintegrate like flakes of ash
~ This quickly leads to a snowball fight on the surrounding Burrow land after Molly threatened the ginger flock about getting any ‘snow’ inside the house
~ Ginny wins this fight after hiding in one of the bedrooms and catapulting the ‘snowballs’ down from the window
~ Molly and Arthur always include you in presents, even though you aren't officially a Weasley they still treat you like you are
~ After about half an hour, the floor is covered in wrapping paper and everyone is wearing a new knitted ensemble courtesy of the matriarch herself
~ And by the end of the night, moving has become impossible from the amount of food that has been served and eaten
~ It’s times like this where you appreciate floo travel instead of a several hour car drive
NSFW
~ The Twins didn’t realise that you had one more present in store for them
~ It was only when you called them into the bedroom that they understood why you needed time to ‘get the gift ready’
~ The gift consisted of lacy lingerie and a plastic bow that sat on your head
~ Although this was a gift you gave them often, they were very grateful nonetheless
~ The twins loved their gift so much that they decided to unwrap it immediately
~ It took you more time to get the ensemble on than it did for them to tear it off of you
~ But it was worth it to see the look on their faces, and for the wild ride that came with it
~ The twins pounced on you, breathing in your new perfume that they bought you and the feeling of your soft skin
~ Their hands roamed over you, tugging until the lingerie was discarded on the floor and their clothes followed suit
~ One held you in his arms while the other pushed into you, they made you cum at least twice before switching
~ They only wish they had gotten creative with the mistletoe
~ They would have made sure to kiss you everywhere (not that they needed mistletoe to do so) ~ Lets just say that boxing day was a day spent in bed recovering, and giving a few last christmas presents ;)

Fairy Light Flurries
Zayne/Gender-Neutral Reader
Summary: You pick Zayne up from work and relax in your apartment together. Unfortunately for Zayne, your mischievous tendencies can be a bit distracting.
Word Count: 4,098
A/N: Hello, @ticklygiggles!! I was your @squealing-santa this year. :) I hope you enjoy this silly little fic.
This is a tickle fic btw!
~🍓~
As you stood near the front entrance of Akso Hospital, you stared at your phone, spamming your favorite doctor with several text messages to announce your presence. You knew Zayne wouldn’t answer your messages for a while, even though his shift ended a few minutes ago. He was a hard worker, which you admired about him.
A cold breeze cut through the air, and you shivered, drawing your coat closer to your body. Tiny snow flurries scattered throughout the air, dusting your wool hat with white snowflakes. Some of them caught onto your eyelashes. You blinked them away.
Downtown was quite pretty during this time of year. Fairy lights were strung along the buildings, emitting a warm, yellow glow. Some were multi-colored, and others had lights that changed color each second. Red, green, and white banners and garlands wrapped around the light poles.
It was quiet out here save for the occasional sound of a car passing through. You supposed most people didn’t want to be outside when it was so cold. Another breeze passed through. You didn’t blame them.
Your phone buzzed.
You didn’t even get to read the notification before a soft, deep voice sighed behind you.
“You could have waited inside of the lobby, you know?” Zayne shook his head as he stepped closer to you. Snow crunched under his shoes. “Or my office.” He wore a large, brown jacket over his outfit. His hands were shoved deep into his pockets.
You laughed. “Yeah, but this is more romantic, isn’t it?” You held out your arms to your sides. “The snow. The lights. It’s so pretty out here. I couldn’t help it.”
Zayne puckered his lips. If you didn’t know better, you would have said it almost looked like he was pouting. “I don’t want you to catch a cold.” He readjusted your hat, making sure it covered your ears. “I can’t believe the Hunters Association is forcing you to work during the holidays.”
“I could say the same thing for you,” you said, pulling at his scarf. Not expecting you to do that, Zayne took an awkward step forward. You evened out the ends before forming a loop and tying it up, so it held closer against his neck. You smiled at his surprised expression and pinched his cheek.
“I chose to work this week,” he said quietly.
“Me too.”
Zayne shot you a quiet smile. You both were workaholics, practically married to your respective jobs. Despite the surface-level differences, you and Zayne were very much alike–at least in that regard.
“Come,” he said, jerking his head to the side. “I’ll drive you home.”
You took his hand as he led you to his car. Zayne always parked in the same spot, so you didn’t need him to lead you, but you just wanted an excuse to hold his hand. He wasn’t wearing gloves, but his hands were still surprisingly warm. How did he manage that?
“Home?” you repeated with a snort. “Do you mean yours or mine?”
Zayne hummed as he opened the passenger side of the door. You sat inside, shivering when your body came in contact with the leather seats. “Your choice,” he said. He closed the door and entered the driver’s side, swiftly starting the car.
You tapped your index finger against your lip. “Mine,” you answered after a while. “I want you to stay the night.”
“Sounds good,” Zayne said as he drove out of the parking lot.
A few minutes into the drive, you rested your chin against your palm. The colorful lights seemed to blur into one as you passed by. You were tempted to press your cheek against the window, but you knew it would be freezing, so you held yourself back.
“How was work?” you asked, simply wanting to fill the air with something. It didn’t matter what you and Zayne talked about. You just liked being with him.
Zayne took a moment to respond, as though he was recalling what happened today. “It was fine,” he finally said.
You waited for him to continue, but he didn’t. “That’s it?”
Zayne shrugged. “Not every day can be as interesting as yours.” The hint of a laugh tinged the end of his sentence. “How was work for you?”
“Oh, you know, nothing much,” you said while straightening your posture. “I just saved a mother and daughter from a Wanderer attack.” You flexed your muscles. “No biggie.”
“My hero,” Zayne said. For a second, you thought he was being sarcastic, but his tone sounded strangely sincere.
Unsure what to do with this change in atmosphere, you stared at your lap. “I like waiting for you when you’re done with work,” you said quietly, changing the subject. You knew it was a sudden shift, but you didn’t know what else to say. “It’s the favorite part of my day.”
“Mine too,” Zayne answered.
“Really?” you asked with a slight chuckle.
Zayne spared you a singular glance. Your heart skipped a beat. “Yes, really,” he said. You smiled warmly. You were about to say something else when Zayne interrupted. “We’re here.”
You perked up. “We are?” You looked around and, indeed, you and Zayne were in the parking lot of your apartment complex. “Wow, that was fast.”
Zayne laughed in response. “How time flies.” He stepped out of the car.
Before he could open the passenger door for you, you stepped out and slammed the door shut. Zayne didn’t respond but you did catch him frowning slightly. You stopped his chance to be a gentleman. Hopefully, he didn’t mind too much. You skipped over to him and grabbed his arm as you walked over to your apartment.
There wasn’t any snow or ice on the pavement. The road crew must have come earlier to salt the streets and parking lots. That was good. You wouldn’t have to worry about Zayne slipping and falling. You knew his fancy dress shoes weren’t built for this weather unlike your sturdy boots.
The heat hit you at full blast the second you entered the lobby. It felt comforting–like someone wrapping a large, fluffy blanket around your body.
“I have some spare pajamas in the guest room,” you explained, making your way over to the elevator. “You can take those.” The doors opened with a ding and you stepped inside.
Zayne smiled as he pressed the button to your floor. “They’re my size?”
“Of course,” you said. “It’s always good to be prepared.” You shook your shoulders. “I learned that from a certain doctor.” When the elevator opened, you stepped out and walked over to your room.
The moment you unlocked it and stepped inside, Zayne leaned over and hugged you. You nestled your nose into the crook of his neck, taking in his scent. He smelled like peppermint, and his skin felt smooth to the touch. You kissed his jaw, and Zayne pressed his lips against your cheek. While you wouldn’t call Zayne shy per se, he was definitely the type to be reserved when it came to public displays of affection. It was cute.
“I missed you,” he muttered against your skin.
You giggled and tried to pull away. He pulled you back into his embrace for a few more seconds until he finally let you go. His hands lingered on your upper arms as his thumbs softly caressed you.
“Me too,” you said. With a split second of hesitation, Zayne pulled back to start unbuttoning his jacket. You tugged his sleeve. “Wait, let me get that for you.” He stilled, and you helped him peel off his jacket. You hung it on the coat rack next to the front door with a short flourish.
Taking a quick peek in his pockets, you noticed he had one of those hand-warming packets in there. That sneaky doctor. No wonder his hands were so warm earlier. You wondered if he did that on purpose, knowing you would try to hold his hand. Zayne’s thoughtfulness always made your lips curve into a small, appreciative grin. He tried to be subtle with these things, but you knew how much he truly cared for you.
“Thank you,” Zayne said as he untied his scarf and placed it next to his jacket on the rack.
“Go get changed,” you said. “I’ll make us some hot chocolate.”
Zayne nodded and went to the guest room. You stepped into your bedroom to change into your nightwear before heading to the kitchen and opening the last cabinet on the right. Way in the back was the matching snowman mugs you got for the both of you last year. They were meant to be used for special occasions, and sharing a warm drink in your abode counted, at least, in your opinion.
A part of you wanted to make hot chocolate from scratch, but after the long day of work you had, the mere thought of it made you want to pass out. You had to settle for the instant packet stuff instead.
It didn’t take long for you to prepare the mugs of hot chocolate considering how all you had to do was microwave some milk and stir in the powder. Zayne came up from behind you while you were in the middle of stirring. He had changed fairly quickly. The light blue pajama set suited him. He placed his hands on your shoulders, squeezing them.
“You should add a pinch of sugar in mine,” Zayne said. He pressed the side of his head against your ear. You could hear him swallow at the end of his sentence.
“Sugar?” you repeated. “This is the powder stuff. It’s already sweet,” you clarified, thinking that Zayne would see the error in his ways.
Zayne glanced at the open box of instant hot chocolate on the counter. “I know,” he said. “It’s just a pinch.”
You should have known. Zayne’s proclivity for sweets had no bounds. Just as he asked, you added a spoonful of sugar to his mug (and then another when he gave you puppy dog eyes). He would have denied it if asked directly, but you knew what he was like.
With your mugs of hot chocolate, you and Zayne sat in the living room. “Do you have any preferences?” you asked as you picked up the remote. You turned on the television and scrolled through the wide array of movies.
“Not particularly,” he said, sipping on his drink.
“Alright.”
You played a random holiday movie that was featured on the front page of the streaming platform. From its summary, it seemed like a decent watch: a meet-cute romance between a hunter and a businessman. Apparently, the hunter teaches the businessman about the magic of the holidays. You settled next to Zayne once the music began to play. He lazily laid his arm around your back.
The beginning of the movie was cute, but your mind began to wander halfway through. As the movie droned on, your eyelids started to droop down. All your hours spent awake working and saving the day were beginning to catch up to you. You were almost finished with your drink by now.
Placing your mug on the coffee table, you leaned into Zayne’s side. He hummed and set down his mug next to yours before wrapping his arm around your shoulder and lying down, dragging you down with him.
“What?” you asked as you awkwardly fell over him. You shuffled around until you were lying down on his side, pressed against him and the back pillow of the couch.
Zayne kissed the top of your head. “You’re feeling tired, are you not?” The gentle drum of his heartbeat almost lulled you directly to sleep. He lowered his voice, so it was barely above a whisper. “You can sleep. Don’t worry.”
You turned your head to the side, nuzzling your nose against his chest. “Okay,” you said with a yawn. “Tell me how the movie ends.”
You hugged his side, your arm worming underneath the small of his back. You sighed as the movie became nothing more than background noise. The rise and fall of Zayne’s chest kept you steady. Every so often, his breath tickled your cheeks. You smiled, your fingers flexing against his back.
Zayne stiffened, and you raised your head slightly. “What’s wrong?” you asked.
“Nothing,” Zayne said, petting the top of your head. “Go back to sleep,” he whispered into your ear.
“Are you sure?” you asked. You didn’t want to make him uncomfortable. You tried to pull your arm from underneath him, but it was stuck–pinned against the couch by his weight.
Zayne squirmed, his lips pressing into a thin line. “Yes, I’m sure. It’s just…” Zayne stopped when he saw your expression. You weren’t going to let this go, and he knew it. Zayne bit his lip, his ears suddenly flushing red. “It just tickles. A bit.”
You propped yourself up on your other arm. “Does it?” Experimentally, you curled your fingers, watching in awe as Zayne arched his back. That allowed you to pry your arm from under him. He gave you a pleading expression–like he was begging you to drop your discovery, but how could you?
“Please–” Zayne said, cutting himself off when you clasped his side and squeezed it. “I’m not th–that ticklish…” He bit his bottom lip as you dragged your nails over his stomach. His abs tensed under your feather-light touch. “…so you caha–!!”
Zayne gasped as you suddenly launched your attack across his stomach just above his belly button. He scrunched up his nose, refusing to laugh. He was always so stubborn. You moved over, so you were now sitting on his lap.
“I think you’re more than ‘a bit’ ticklish,” you said.
His lips were caught in an awkward half-smile that he was desperately trying to keep at bay. Zayne grabbed your wrists, temporarily stopping your pursuits. “Don’t you want to finish the movie?” he asked with the tiniest bit of desperation at the edge of his voice. His fingertips quivered against your skin. Even though you weren’t tickling him anymore, he was still trembling.
“This is much more interesting than some movie.” You pulled your hands out of his grip and latched onto his hips. Zayne bucked up on instinct, and you laughed as he almost bounced you into the air. “Wouldn’t you agree?” You massaged the skin, taking care to dig deeper at the spots that made him jerk especially hard.
His eyebrows furrowed together as he tried to stop himself from succumbing to your touch, but you were far, far too powerful. “I–ehehehmhm…” Zayne giggled breathily. It was satisfying to see him break albeit a little. He seemed to be at a loss for words, his cheeks dusting a light pink. His smile, now much wider, wobbled slightly.
Zayne was still trying to half-heartedly stop your devious hands, but it felt more like a kitten pawing at your arms than anything else. You wondered if that was his way of allowing you to keep going. Surely if he genuinely wanted you to stop, he would have put his foot down by now. Alas, Zayne was putty in your hands. You were one of his few weaknesses.
Your fingers slowly wandered up his torso as they made their way to his ribs. Zayne jumped, clamping his arms to his sides. This seemed to be a much more sensitive area, which you took to your full advantage. “Is this a bad spot, Dr. Zayne?” you asked in a light-hearted tone. “Are you too ticklish for your own good?” You clawed at the soft skin in between the grooves of his ribs.
If you were particularly evil, you might have even tried to tickle him underneath his shirt, but you were feeling a little merciful today.
Zayne squeezed his eyes shut, seemingly no longer able to look at you. “Behehe quiehehet!” he suddenly cackled. “Dohohon’t tickle me there! Eheheh!” He grabbed at your upper arms but didn’t try too much to stop you. Even though you were nowhere near his hips, they still jerked and flinched with every new spot you explored.
“So I can tickle you somewhere else, then?” you teased.
“Nohoho!” he gasped out. Zayne turned his head from side to side as he attempted to wiggle out from underneath you. It was no use, however. You were simply too determined. “Stahahap!”
His laughter was deep and almost husky, peppered with the occasional gasp or winded yelp. It was beautiful. Zayne twitched and jumped with each poke and prod. He was so sensitive. It enamored you. You wished Zayne would laugh like this more often. The sound needed to be captured in a bottle and tossed out to the sea for everyone to have a chance to hear.
“You’re so beautiful, Zayne,” you said softly.
You wondered what Zayne would have said if you weren’t tickling the life out of him. He tossed his head back and cackled when you started digging your fingers deep into the soft fleshy parts of his sides. “Ahahahaha! I–I cahahan’t–!” He squealed, squirming from side to side. “I cahan’t tahahahahake it anymore!” Zayne tried to curl up into a ball, but he couldn’t do that with you sitting on his legs.
“Do that again!” you said, trying to elicit that same squeaky squeal. You dragged your nails up and down his sides, but you weren’t as lucky this time. Oh well.
“This ihihihis too muhuhuch!” Zayne managed to giggle out. He kicked his legs out from underneath you, but you held yourself steady. “Hhh…ehehey!” His shirt rode up a bit, revealing a sliver of rosy pale skin. A slight sheen of sweat glistened against his toned stomach, and you realized that you were, indeed, evil. Very evil.
You targeted his exposed skin. Your fingertips immediately latched onto his bare stomach, tickling him there. His muscles flexed instinctively underneath your touch. You dug your thumbs into his soft warm skin, and he jumped. The way his stomach shuddered with each gasp of breath in between wild laughter made you want him more. You could simply devour him.
Not wanting to go too far, you slowed down. Now, you were lightly dragging your fingers up and down the sides of his stomach. “I like hearing your laughter,” you said quietly, “It’s lovely.” You were barely speaking above a murmur, so you weren’t sure if he could hear you much less understand your words.
“Hehehmmhmm…” Tiny droplets of tears clung to Zayne’s eyelashes, sparkling under the soft overhead light. It took him a moment to realize what you just said, but when he did, Zayne flushed a nice shade of red. His cheeks twitched as residual snickers spilled past his lips. “Thank you,” he mumbled awkwardly. You didn’t blame him. It was an odd compliment considering the circumstances. It was nice seeing him all embarrassed. Zayne shifted slightly, staring off to the side. “I uhahahAHAHA!”
Unfortunately, that little moment of peace had to come to an end because you were once again overcome with the same ruthless mood that started this mess. You began tickling his armpits. He flinched–hard. It didn’t take long for you to find a spot at the very center of his underarms that made him cackle. Your thumbs drilled directly into his armpits, and you snickered at the way he jolted.
“Whoa,” you said in between your own giggles.
“WAHAHAIT!” he practically screamed. “Not thehehehere! Nohot thehereee…!” Zayne managed to flip himself over on his side even though you had been sitting on his legs. Huh. You sat on your knees, hovering over his lower body. He crossed his arms to his chest, effectively blocking you from tickling him. “Ehehehe,” he giggled.
“Come on, please, Zayne?” you asked. “Just five more minutes?” You tried to lift his arm, but he wouldn’t budge.
“No,” Zayne said, slightly out of breath.
You puckered your lips. “What? You can’t handle a little bit of tickling?” You poked down the length of his arm with each word. “Are you too ticklish?”
He shivered. “I’m not–” Zayne began to protest before he thought better of it. He puffed out his cheeks and corrected himself. “I’m not that ticklish.”
You pressed your index finger into his cheek. “I beg to differ.”
“Be quiet.”
You chuckled lightly. “Don’t worry. I think it’s cute.”
“Cute,” Zayne repeated under his breath. “That isn’t a word most people would use to describe me.”
“Well, most people don’t know you the way I do.”
Brushing his bangs out of the way, you leaned down and kissed his temple. His forehead was a bit damp. Probably from sweat. Oops.
Zayne closed his eyes and nodded. Then, to your surprise, he lifted his arm. “Five more minutes,” he said quietly. He glanced at you for a brief second before diverting his attention elsewhere. His ears were redder than you had ever seen them.
You blinked. You blinked again. You were tempted to scoop Zayne in a hug and kiss him repeatedly, but you couldn’t waste this opportunity. Your heart pounded in your chest. Who knew when you would get this chance again?
You reached over and–
Zayne flinched, bringing his arm down before you got close to his underarm. “Sorry, sorry,” he muttered under his breath. He repositioned himself, so he was lying down on his back, again.
“I’m surprised most people don’t call you cute,” you said, pinning his arm above his head. “They’re really missing out on this side of you.”
You lightly dragged the tips of your nails around his underarm, and Zayne’s body went rigid. He bit the inside of his cheek to probably stop himself from breaking into laughter right away, but the way he puckered his lips and scrunched up his face told you everything you needed to know.
Zayne let out an odd, strangled hum, and you knew he was done for. “Aha–ahAHAhaha!” He hiccuped before his laughter softened into sweet giggles.
“Aw, you’re so–”
You weren’t able to finish your sentence because of Zayne’s abrupt cackle when you started clawing at his armpit. “Eeehehahh…HAHA!”
“That was a weird noise,” you said. You prodded at his sensitive skin, wiggling and swirling your thumbs against it as much as you could.
“Shhhehehahaha…shut uhuhuhp!” His free arm lightly batted away at you, but you didn’t let that deter you.
You puckered your lips into a fake pout. “Seriously, Zayne? How rude.” You dug your fingers into his armpit.
You loosened your grip on Zayne’s arm, and it immediately came crashing down, pressing it up against himself. You took this as an opportunity to tickle his other underarm, as well. You quickly spidered your fingers, targeting any spot you could manage.
“AHAHA! Wahahait! Wahait!” The corners of Zayne’s eyes crinkled as he tossed his head to the side, filling the room with the melodious sound of his laughter. “St-stahaHAHAP! I cahahan’t take it! I’m seriOUS! Hahaha!”
Zayne grabbed your hands, prying you off of him. Deciding to be nice, you stopped. You stole a quick kiss from his lips, which was still quirked up in a wide, sappy grin. He sighed as his chest heaved up and down. His chest trembled while he tried to catch his breath.
“You good?” you asked.
Zayne nodded breathlessly. His fingers twitched at his sides. For a moment, you thought he was going to exact his revenge before he grabbed your shoulders. He pulled you down, and you clumsily fell on him with a soft gasp. He liked doing this to you, didn’t he?
“Don’t tease me anymore,” he said into your ear. His voice was slightly weak with just a hint of a pant. He pulled you into a hug, embracing you with two strong arms. “I don’t think I will be able to handle it tonight.” His warm breath brushed against the shell of your ear. You shivered.
You smiled against his collarbone. “I’ll try not to,” you said, cuddling him. “No promises, though.”
“I’ll take my chances.”
“Hmm…love you, Zayne,” you whispered into his shirt.
“I love you, too.” He kissed your forehead.
You closed your eyes with a small, content sigh. Zayne’s warmth and peppermint fragrance soothed you. His steady breathing slowed down into long, deep exhales. His chest rose and fell against you, bringing your head up and down with him. You hummed. The witty reply in the back of your mind soon dissipated into nothing but flurries and fairy lights.
Somewhere in the background, the movie finished with the two romantic leads caught in a passionate kiss outside in the snow.

OOH I got another goodie! Can we get a regressed fidds? He regresses because he had a panic attack due to thinking he will lose stan (mullet stan) cause he lost his bookworm, got divorced by his wife and lost tate, he heart couldn't handle loosing stan! So he clings to stan and when stan tries to move away fidds freaks and begs his lee not to leave ):
Thank you so much for you request, I loved writing it! I do need to write more little! fidds, he's such an adorable little guy :) I hope I did your request justice here! And I hope it wasn't too heavy at times-I'm always worried about that. Merry Christmas and please enjoy reading!
As always, I am welcome to helpful advice and critiques! Happy Holidays to everyone!
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
Fiddleford sobbed, clutching Missy, his stuffed Racoon, tightly to his chest. Stan said he was just going to the store to pick up juice and snacks, and that was over an hour ago! He must've gotten tired of Fiddleford and his anxiety and his crying and now he's gone and he's never coming back! Fiddleford is going to be all alone again, just like before. He feels like he's standing on a precipice, teetering near the edge in pure despair. He should've known, Emma May left him and took Tater Tot, who doesn't even want to see him, his Bookworm left him and may be gone forever , and now his Bubba left him! He's going to be alone forever and ever and ever! Fiddleford tries to take deep breaths, his chest aching and hurting making it almost impossible-he's starting to feel lightheaded.
"Fidds! I'm home!" It's Bubba! He came back, he didn't leave Fidds! "Apparently this place has a "Pioneer Day" and they wouldn't let me drive through town, so it took longer than-OOF!" Fidds doesn't comprehend Stan's words, clumsily getting up and barreling into Stan, he would've knocked him over if Stan hadn't widened his stance to counterbalance. "Whoa, Sweetums! Where's the fire-are you crying? Fiddleford-what happened? Was it a bad memory or-or are you hurt? I-" Stan pauses, his brow furrowing in concern when he sees the stuffed Racoon clutched tightly in Fidds' hands, his blubbering combined with that is what puts it together for Stan. He's not talking to Dr. Fiddleford H McGucket, he's talking to his Little Fella, to Fidds. "Hey," Stan softens his voice, "what's the matter, hmm? Come on, tell your Bubba." Stan's softer voice coupled with reassuring talk is usually enough to get through to him, but it seems as if the usual reassurances are slipping away into the distance, Fiddleford too overwhelmed to comprehend. Stan tries to move Fidds back so he can get a look at him-making sure he didn't actually get hurt while he was gone. What he didn't expect was to be met with such a violent and out-of-character reaction from his Sweetie.
"No! No! No!" Fidds clings tighter as Stan goes to move him back. The yelling in his ear causes him to instinctively flinch and move back even more to escape the loud noise. This only causes Fidds' yelling and crying to get worse. He collapses on the floor and clings to Stan's legs, hugging him tight with a piercing, "NOOOOO!" followed by hysterical sobbing. At this point, Stan's panicking, too, his chest tight and throat constricting. He doesn't know what he did wrong, he doesn't even know what happened when he was gone, what made Fidds drop and get him in such a state.
"Hey, Fella! Come on now, let's try to calm down, yeah?" Stan bends down, trying to get level with Fidds and get him to calm his crying and breathe. When soft cooing doesn't work, Stan doesn't know what else to do aside from grasp his shoulders and pull the taller man into him, gathering him in his arms-Fiddleford may be taller than Stan, but he's all gangly limbs-standing up and hobbling-he's still a full grown man-to the living room, collapsing on the armchair with Fidds, still sobbing, in his lap. Stan is torn up inside, listening to the other one cry feels like a rusted blade is tearing its way through his insides, he clings to Fiddleford just as hard as he's being clung to, almost hoping his presence and suffocating hug is enough to calm his Little Guy down, just enough so he can tell him what's eating at him, maybe then Stan can punch away anything that's hurt or scared Fidds.
“Bubba…” Fidds whispered, his voice trembling. He clung to Stan’s shirt, his fingers gripping the fabric for dear life. The world around him faded, everything sharpening into a singular focus—Stan. Bubba. “You’re not-not gonna-not gonna leave me, right?” Panic seeped into his words, heavy and suffocating. "Please! Please don't leave me! Don' wanna be- a-alone anymore!" He begged, words jumped by his hiccups, clutching and burying himself in Stan's chest again-too scared to look into his eyes and see disgust or annoyance. He doesn't want his Bubba to be mad or annoyed at him, it's just-he chokes back a sob into a moan-panic stifling his breathing. He loves Stan so much, so much so that it hurts sometimes. And he knows rationally that Stan would say something if he wasn't happy, but he isn't rational, his thoughts just eat away and eat away at him sometimes. And this thought won't go away, and he wants it to go away! He doesn't want to think about not having Bubba no more, not being tucked in or-or read to anymore. The thought causes him to burst into another round of sobs.
Stan's heart ached even more, his chest even tighter, at the sight before him. Was this what got Fidds in such a tizzy? The thought that he might abandon him? Stan would never do that, hell, he's lucky Fiddleford wants to stick around with him. He couldn't even bring himself to think of any situation that would make him turn away his Lil' Guy, the thought of that scenario is enough to make Stan's eyes sting and his breath hitch. He reached out, bringing his arms around the scrawny man on his lap and absolutely crushing him against him, nuzzling his head against the top of Fidds' head and pressing deep kisses on his hair. "Never." Stan's voice is rough with an emotion neither of them can name at that moment. "I'm not goin' anywhere, not without my Little Man, alright?" Fidds unburied his head from his Bubba's chest, laying it on his shoulder so he could nuzzle it in return-and so he can feel the breathing against his ear and match it. His chest hurts and his head feels dizzy from how hard he was crying and from how hard it was to breathe. "You can trust me when I say this," Stan clutches Fidds tighter, "unless there comes a day when you want to stop, I will never let you go. I promise you this, nothin' crossed, Fiddleford." Stan manages to get Fidds to lean back enough to look him in the eyes. To make his point.
Fidds looks at Bubba, he's got his serious-serious face on. The face reserved for when something in his lab gets blown up when he's there. Fidds knows this means business, that he's serious, no fingers, toes, tongues, or eyes crossed. And that tickles Fidds more than anything, knowing his Bubba isn't crossing anything while making a promise to him, this means he has to keep the promise-those were the rules and his Bubba has never broken a promise rule. This is what calms his breathing down enough for him to get in those deep breaths his brain and body need, enough to collapse against Stan's warm chest while comforting and grounding hands stroke his hair. The grip of panic loosened ever so slightly, though he still clings to Stan's so tightly-scared of letting go.
Fidds knows these icky thoughts will come up again, but in this moment where he's being hugged and rocked so tightly by his Bubba? While his head is being kissed and such nice words are being whispered in his ears? Those thoughts seem like such a silly thing to worry about. He's not alone, not here at this moment. Not with Bubba.

Stargazing
Being Optimus specialist in guns was not an easy task as it seemed. Especialy on Earth now. Prime was addiment on not shearing weaponry system with humans and Ironhide sort of understood why, he’ve seen their cruel nature first hand and Bee was victim once, yet he watched in owe as Lenox changed completely when he was with his family. Instead of leader of elite group of N.E.S.T. he was a father who loved his little offspring and his wife. And time to time such abrupt change in personality really made him question gust how he saw humans. So he started driving around during night, al while still looking for signs of decepticon, parking in some heavily populated area and just people watch. Their life was constantly buissy, streets boiling with life. Group of youngling going in to another night club, some people heading home after long shift, some going in to cafe to catch up with their families or their friends, making him forget completely that they were cruel. Sometimes he would also watch Sam and Bee, seeing them interact time to time and he would get this strange filling, making his snort and roll his opticks before walking away.
Well now he knows it was jealousy.
It al started on one night, where he was just watching people when he noticed something off, a decepticon, pretending to be a taxi, just waiting on the curb. He watched from a far, not daring to move anything in his body, wondering what this scum was doing, until one of the humans get in. Scrap. Now it will get messy. The con drove off far to quick and Ironhide can see human start panicking, well with that the chase was on. The cab swerved in between the cars without a car, causing more cars to crash in to each other to get some more time to outrun Ironhide. After some time Ironhide managed to bump him of a road, sending him tumbling and transforming. The human he kidnaped was flung along, screaming all the time as they rolled down the hill. Ironhide transformed as well, running down the hill while blasting at the con trying to create some space between him and the human. The con still did his best to grab at you, which was successful when they came to a stop, wrapping his claws around you and holding up like some kind of shield, which did work as Ironhide stopped blasting, coming to a stop him self, though still holding his guns up.
“Release the human, punk” he grumbled, letting an angry huff out, ready to pull the trigger any second, stomping from one foot to another “and I may spare your life”
“We both know how soft you Autobots are with humans” the con hissed out, shaking now silent human, who was trying to push the fingers apart to free them self, kicking their legs and letting quite grunts out.
---
You just finished your shift and wanted nothing more then to go home without any incidents. The busses were off limit as you really did not wanted to wait 30 minuets for it to come and having to pray for an empty spot, going underground was out of question as it will take longer, even if it was cheaper, so you decided to take the cab home. Luckily for you there was a cab right there. Waving to the driver, who did not react at all, you opened the door, whishing them a good evening and asking if you can get in. The driver nodded, allowing you in and the engine woke up from it’s slumber. Though as you closed the door the cab suddenly sped off, which did not felt right. You were about to ask the fuck he was doing when seatbelt wrapped around turning you in to unwilling passenger in a strange chase between the cab and black truck. You screamed every time the cab swerved in between cars, trucks and busses, causing quite the raccus, regretting being so lazy and when the truck managed to hit the cab in to the hill, you were sure you gonna die tonight. What you did not expect is for the cab to suddenly let the strange noise that sounded like metal cracking open and the next second you were rolling down the hill, the world spinning in your eyes and filing like you about to hurl. When every thing stopped, you had only split second before huge metal hand wrapped around you and you were hoisted in the air and held far away from what ever was holding you and being shaken like a jake ferret, legs swinging side to side. Your heart was beating like crazy by now, realizing that you were being held hostage by a huge robot, who was a second ago was the cab, all while the other bot, black truck, was holding the hugest guns pointed at you and your captor. You did not hear what the black one said, just focusing on getting out of the grip and with ears ringing and being defend by your own heartbeat. It did not take long for the cab suddenly pull the gun out of his ass and start shooting.
Ironhide did expected that con would start shooting first and he had to take cover, quickly thinking though his next step. He need to get the human out of decepticon’s hands and then he will add more holes in to his torso. Which will not be easy but if he don’t do anything now who knows what is gonna happen to civilian. Cliking his guns, he ran from behind his cover, aiming at the foot of the con, making him take steps back and try no to stumble, and using this momentum, he flung his body in to the con, knocking him over and grabbed at the human. As soon as his servos were wrapped around the soft body of screaming human, he pulled back and shot quickly, ending Con’s activity once and for all. Letting a grumble, he lifted quite human up to his face, expecting them. They were a just another run of the mill human, nothing special, not any one special by the looks of it, just an unlucky human who ended up in this whole situation purely by accident. Moving them slightly to inspect for any injuries he was relived to see that non harm was done to them, so he let them go.
“You’ve seen nothing, got it”
“th. Thank you sir!” You spoke loudly as Iron hide was walking away, freezing a spot. “Thank you for saving me mister” it took a second for him to slowly turn around.
“Sure thing?” no fear? Usually humans would run screaming or just run, not thank him for saving their flashy aft. “You not scared of me?”
“You sort of saved me, right?” the human cocked their head to the side just like any animal when they see something they don’t understand “so it’s only right to thank you? What is your name?”
“Ironhide”
--
The day finished and all the autobots reported to the hangar, going in to separate rooms to recharge. Todays mission was quite quick and simple, just one decepticon and not this hard, though Prime was getting worried about how often the reports strated coming in. Ironhide did not really care, having a reason to go in blasting and let his anger out. Though he knew well that his day yet was to end, al he had to do is wait for others to go in to recharge. It took some time for the window of opportunity to open up, but when it did, Ironhide snuck out of the hanger, sneaking though and trying not to get much attention, steping over the fence and transforming, getting back on the road and driving off in to the city. It did not take to long to find you. Your apartment was facing a dark alley, with other windows closed and every one sleeping by now, allowing Ironhide to transform in to his alt mode without being noticed. Slowly standing up, he peered in to your apartment, scaning for you, which did not take to long to find in a small box of a room that you lovingly called “studio”. You were snuggled in your small bed, under blankets, with the back towards him, doom scrolling through your phone. Feeling the cogs inside him whirr with what he now knows is excitement, bot taped on the window, quickly getting your attention as you jumped up in your bed, wide eyed before calming down a bid and waved with nervous smile. Getting out, you wrapped your self in throw on blanket, shuffling towards the window and opening it up.
“Evening Ironhide” you greeted him with a soft smile and tiered voice. “how was your day?”
“Buissy as ususaly” Ironhide leaned on the wall, looking at you with his blue eyes. He liked this sort of quite interactions, though he was also looking forward to something both of you planed weeks ago “Ready for the ride?”
“uh...” you looked away, before nodding shyly “sort of. Just give me moment”.
Reaching for the windows, you closed it and put the curtains down and Ironhide smiled to him self. You both agreed to go out of town to stargaze, something that he noticed you would do time to time while walking around the town to you work. You would suddenly stop, your head up, just staring at what stars you can see. So he managed to talk you in to this. So far you were very peaceful, even shy, skittish time to time even. It did not take to long for you to come out from the back door, dressed warmly for cold desert weather of the place they were going. Taking his car mode, Ironhide opened his doors, letting you in, stifling a chuckle as you tried your best no to take to much space or even move as they drove though the city, light shifting on his armour and scenery soon changing. When they reached the spot, he transformed aorund you, keeping you in his hands. You sort of relaxed, just allowing him to do what ever. There was even one time were he just swing you softly side to side, your legs swinging about, making you feel like a ferret again, though it was nice on your spine, feeling it stretch a bit, getting this pain out of your back. Stomping further away from road, Ironhide plopped down by the rock, lening against it and you on his chassis. You sunk immideatly in to warmth, bringing legs to your chest and trying to get as much warmth as you can, letting a long sigh out. Then you finally looked up. Ironhide can see the second you drowned your self in stars, your eyes widen in wonder, pushing your self up and just staring up, breathing softly. Ironhide chuckled a bit, leaning in to the rock and brining his gaze to the sky as well, staring at the countless stars along you, wondering just what is it you were looking for in the endless night and light.
“Where is your home?” you spoke, not breaking gaze from the stars, your eyes shifting slightly
“Don’t know” Iron hide shrugged, not able to tell which one of those million stars was home, or even if it was able to be seen from earth “Not sure you can even see it from here.”
“hm... do. Do you like it here?” finally you looked at him with those big eyes “ on Erath?”
“it’s... It’s getting better” he looked up, avoididng the eyes of little human resting on his chest. It really was getting better on earth now. Especialy with you. Leaning back, he sort of lifted his hand and started running it back and up your little back.
It’s been a while since e saved you and so far he did not regret telling his name to you. You liked to listen to him and would even questions about guns he had. Though in the back of his mind he was getting worried as it’s been to long and he felt like he was stretching the band further and further, fearing that when it’s snaps back, N.E.S.T. will find out about you and would force you to stay away from him. He really did not wanted it now having another earthly friend, even if you were not of military status, just a simple human with simple life. A nice break time to time.
--after some stargazing and returning you back---
Sneaking back in to base, Ironhide could only thing about recharge and hoping no one noticed him missing. Walking by quietly and opening hangar, he slipped in, closing it slowly as to not make even the slightest of noise, though the sound of a grunt quickly made him spin around and stare up at Prime. Judging by Optimus face, he was not to happy with him sneaking out.
“I hope that stargazing with civilian was worth it?”
“scrap”

home is where you are
@steddiebingo prompts: hurt/comfort (main card) and home (christmas card)

Eddie came home from work to absolute chaos. Addie and Violet were sitting on the living room floor, arguing over whether to put the white lights or the colored lights on the Christmas tree, which he had put up the night before. Addie wanted white, but Violet wanted colored. Eddie was almost certain none of their lights from last year were even going to work, so they'd have to buy new ones anyway. James and Lucy were fighting over an orange crayon at the coffee table, two blank pieces of paper and a whole assortment of other colored crayons in front of them. Steve and their youngest, Grace, were nowhere to be seen, but Eddie could hear movement in the kitchen. Eddie quickly slipped his boots off at the door and swooped in to de-escalate all the arguing.
He started by grabbing a second, emergency, box of crayons from the cabinet that held the art supplies. He pulled out an orange one and handed it to Lucy, so she would stop trying to take the other one from her brother. Then he moved to the older two girls, squatting down in front of them and picking up two strings of lights.
“Why don't we put the lights away for now, my loves? They probably don't even work. I’ll take you both to the store this week and we can pick some new ones out together. How does that sound?”
They easily agreed, and Eddie was incredibly grateful that everything was solved quickly tonight. Once all of the pups were settled and occupied, not a single argument left to be had, Eddie moved to the kitchen. He stopped in the doorway to smile at what he found. Steve was standing at the stove, stirring a pot of boiling macaroni noodles with Grace on his hip. He was swaying back and forth, softly humming a lullaby as he did.
Eddie slid up behind him, leaning in with a hand on Steve’s other hip to kiss his cheek. “Evenin', beautiful,” he whispered. Steve smiled and turned his head to get a proper kiss.
“Hey, baby. How was work?” Steve asked after they had separated.
Grace was grinning, trying to scramble from Steve’s hold while saying, “Da!”
Eddie shrugged, taking Grace into his own arms. “Nothin’ new. Missed you, though. How was your day? Pups drive you too crazy?”
Steve hummed in consideration. “Hectic. Lots of arguments today. Oh, Lucy broke one of the nice glasses that Joyce got us. She was trying to be like Addie and Violet and help put the dishes away, but she dropped it and it shattered. Everyone was okay, though, and I’m pretty sure I got all the glass cleaned up.”
Eddie’s hand looped around further to rest on Steve’s swollen belly. “And how was the little one today? Not causing too much trouble, I hope?”
Steve huffed a small laugh. “Not letting me actually get anything done today.” He put down his spoon and leaned back into Eddie’s chest. “Every time I finally got the rest of the pups settled down enough to do something, I either had to pee or sit down for a little bit. By the time I was done, someone else needed something, and the cycle repeated.”
“That's okay,” Eddie murmured, nuzzling his nose against the shell of Steve’s ear and taking a deep breath of his scent. He always loved how much sweeter his mate smelled during pregnancy. It was one of his favorite parts of the experience. “I'll finish the chores for you after dinner. You just worry about relaxing.”
“Eddie, no,” Steve argued, moving to stir the pasta again. “You just worked a ten-hour shift. You shouldn't have to come home and do everything here too. I'll take care of it.”
“You will do no such thing.” Eddie adjusted his hold on Grace, who was snuggled against his chest after not seeing him since the night before. She had been the only one still asleep when Eddie left for work that morning. “You chased our little pack of hooligans around all day while growing a pup. You deserve to put your feet up and relax for the evening. I'll take care of everything else. Don't worry about anything.”
Steve glanced over his shoulder with a frown. “At least let me help. Then we can get everything done faster.”
Eddie smiled and kissed Steve’s cheek again. “Whatever makes you feel better, my love.”
Dinner in the Munson household that night was quite the affair, as it usually was with five kids under the age of eight. Afterwards, Eddie corralled all the pups upstairs for baths and pajamas while Steve cleaned up in the kitchen. By the time everyone was clean, clothed, and settled on the couch for one last movie before bedtime, Eddie was wrecked. He loved his children more than anything in his life (except maybe Steve), but they were exhausting. He had no idea how his mate did it all day long.
Finally, he started the movie and went to track down his superhero of a partner. It didn't take him long at all. Steve was in the laundry room, loading the washer to get one more in for the evening. Eddie came up behind him, wrapping his arms around his husband and kissing his cheek. He pulled Steve back into his chest and swayed gently. He reveled in the way Steve instantly sank into his hold, body going lax and a sigh of contentment leaving his lips.
“Have I ever told you how much I love you?” Eddie whispered.
“Mmmm, tell me again?” Steve replied just as softly.
“I love you so so so much, my love.” Eddie gently tightened his arms around him. “You are an absolute wonder. I don't know how you deal with our little gremlins all day and not just completely lose your mind.”
Steve hummed, a soft smile on his lips. “They're not so bad. Most days. It helps that Addie, Violet, and James go to school five days a week.”
“A saint,” Eddie said, slowly releasing his hold on Steve to dramatically collapse to his knees in front of him. “I worship on my knees in your holy presence.” As Steve laughed, Eddie leaned forward with his hands on Steve’s sides to press a kiss to his belly. Their pup moved beneath his touch. Eddie would never get tired of the feeling. It always amazed him, just what Steve’s body was capable of, especially when it came to creating life.
“Come on, up off the floor,” Steve finally said, grabbing Eddie’s hand and starting to pull him up. The alpha went easily, rarely one to say no to his omega.
With the pups suitably distracted for at least a little bit longer, Steve and Eddie set about the quiet routine of getting evening chores done. They didn't speak much, just moved around each other in a comfortable silence. Eddie did the day’s dishes and wiped down the countertops while Steve folded laundry at the table. The movie in the living room was still going when Grace started getting fussy. It wasn't long before Violet was calling for them to make her stop.
“I'll get her,” Eddie said softly, not wanting to break the calming atmosphere in the kitchen. Steve nodded, still folding laundry, while Eddie headed for the living room.
Grace was pushing at Lucy when Eddie walked in, and Lucy was quickly losing patience with her little sister. Eddie picked Grace up, trying to remedy the situation, but that just caused a full blown tantrum. She kicked and screamed, fighting against Eddie and her own exhaustion. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. No matter how hard he tried to put out a calming scent to soothe her, it was all for naught. She just kept screaming and kicking and writhing. Steve quickly appeared in the doorway, looking a little worried. As soon as Grace saw him, she reached her arms out.
“Give her here,” he said gently, coming over to take the screaming toddler from Eddie’s arms. “I'll sit with her.”
Eddie nodded and passed her off to Steve, watching as Grace instantly began to calm down. He made sure Steve was comfortable on the couch with Grace curled into his body before leaving to finish cleaning up the kitchen and folding laundry. By the time he was done, the movie was over. All five of their pups were fast asleep on the couch. Grace was curled up on Steve’s lap, her head pillowed on his chest. Lucy was situated firmly in Steve’s side, while the older three were piled up and stretched out across the other cushions.
Eddie was extremely careful in his extraction. He took Addie and Violet upstairs to the room they shared first, then James to his room. When he came back, he slowly picked up Lucy and let her burrow into his neck while Steve carefully tried to stand up with Grace. It was a lot harder the further along this pregnancy got, but Steve was nothing if not determined. He never let anything slow him down; not even being nearly eight months pregnant. Again, superhero. Eddie was obsessed with him.
After a very long, very chaotic night, all of the pups were finally tucked away in their beds. Eddie and Steve could actually take a minute to breathe without someone needing something. As they did every night, once the children were tucked in and sound asleep, they curled up on the couch together with some random movie they'd seen a hundred times before. It was more for the noise and familiarity than the movie itself. Steve was tucked against Eddie’s side, his head resting where he could hear Eddie’s heartbeat, just like every night. Eddie held him close, breathing in Steve’s scent and letting himself finally relax for the first time all day. They both remained quiet for a while.
Something deep down in his gut was telling Eddie that something was wrong. Something was bothering Steve, festering in his mind. Before he got the chance to ask, Steve was opening his mouth to speak.
“Do you think we’re making a mistake?” he asked so softly, Eddie almost didn't catch it. If their house hadn't been so quiet, he might not have heard him.
“What do you mean?” Eddie tightened his arm around Steve’s shoulders.
Steve shrugged as best he could from under Eddie’s arm. “I just- Do you think all of this is just a big mistake?” Eddie’s heart shattered at the broken lilt to Steve’s voice, the tremble of his words. “Is having another baby a mistake?”
Eddie frowned, trying so hard to control his scent. “Of course not. What's wrong, baby? Where is this coming from?”
Steve sniffled a little, pressing his cheek a little more firmly into Eddie’s chest. “I don't know. I just- We already have five kids, Eddie. Our- our house isn't that nice. We don't really have a whole lot of extra money. And with Grace’s medical bills… maybe- maybe we should have just stopped after James, or Lucy. Maybe everyone was right, and this is all just a big mistake.”
Eddie shook his head, feeling the fabric of his t-shirt start to dampen. “Absolutely not,” he said. He pulled away, shifting so he could fully look at Steve. “Baby, this is not a mistake. I don't know who’s putting these ideas in your head, but they're wrong. So what if we don't have the nicest house in Hawkins? That's never mattered. Not to me, not to the pups. It's just a house, Stevie. And so what if we don't have all the money in the world? Our family has a roof over their heads, clothes on their bodies, and they never have to worry about going hungry. Our pups are loved. Why should anything else matter?”
Fat tears rolled down Steve’s cheeks. Eddie caught them with his thumbs as he cradled Steve’s face in his hands.
“I love you, Steve Munson,” he continued, unable to stop now that he was on a roll. “I love you, and I love our pups, and I love our life. I don't care about money, or our house. All I care about is our family. Our five little pups, who bring me so much joy every single day. Sweet little Sophia, who is going to be so loved, just like her siblings. You, the love of my absolute life, who has given me so much to be grateful for.”
Tears were welling up in Eddie’s eyes against his permission. He just loved Steve so much, and he hated seeing him so upset.
“Eddie,” Steve whispered, voice shaking with his emotions.
“Stevie, honey, I cannot even begin to tell you just how amazing I think you are. How strong, capable, loving, and wonderful. The greatest gift of my life is getting to be a dad, and you have given that to me six times now. I am so deeply in love with you, and our big family. I would never trade any of our pups for anything in the entire world. I don't need a fancy house or money, because you and our babies are my home. I don't care what anyone else has to say about it. I am obsessed with you and our six little pups, this house with its scattered Christmas decorations that we haven't had the time to put up yet, and every single other thing about this little life we’ve built for ourselves. Fuck everyone else. This is the only thing that matters.”
Eddie held Steve to his chest as he cried, rubbing his back and whispering all of his love into Steve’s ear in the hope that it would sink beneath his skin and stay there forever.
Later, Grace will wake up and need Eddie to put her back to sleep. Later, Lucy will crawl into bed with them and cuddle up to Steve. Later, Eddie will help Steve make breakfast before going to work. Later, they’ll put up decorations and stick the Christmas presents under the tree. Later, they’ll have a newborn in the house, someone else for Eddie to love with everything he has.
Later, Eddie will still be deeply in love with the home that he and Steve have built together, regardless of what anyone else has to say about it.

Hey hun! Can you do a halstead sister? She goes to 51 after going to classes (college) or maybe a friends. I go into SVT( basically really high heart rate) and she has a really bad episode at the firehouse and gets rushed to med. maybe Connor makes a. Appearance
Skip a beat- Halstead!sister
To say that the day had been rough was an understatement. It was finals week since the fall term was ending. Christmas was right around the corner, so on top of your exams and papers, you were making presents for Jay, Will, and a few of your friends from the 21st, 51, and med. You’d often hang at 51 after classes if you were too tired to walk home. Jay and Will both agreed that you shouldn’t drive with your regular episodes of SVT, so you usually had to wait for Jay, Will, Matt, or Kelly to take you home if you ended up at 51. Today was one of those days.
When you walked into 51, Kelly immediately stood up from the squad table, abandoning the tools he was cleaning. The rest of squad was at the table, but they simply waved. Your “uncle” came to pull you into a tight hug.
“Hey kiddo.” Kelly said, smiling brightly as he looked you over. “I’ve been expecting you! Your watch kept alerting us to your heart rate today. What’s going on?” Kelly asked, tucking you under his arm as he steered you into the common area of 51.
“Finals.” Was all you mumbled, leaning into Kelly’s strong grip. You soaked up all the heat you could get from him, needing the physical contact and comfort of his warmth after the day you had.
Kelly hummed as Mouch piped up from the couch. “I don’t miss those days!” He said, shaking his head.
“You probably don’t remember anything you learned from that long ago, grandpa.” Gallo joked from the kitchen, pointing the spatula right at Mouch. Gallo wiggled his eyebrows and smiled widely as Mouch turned his attention to the kitchen.
“You keep it up Gallo. Don’t forget who my wife is, let alone who one of my best friends is.” Mouch said, threatening him with the wrath of Trudy and Boden.
Gallo blanched, but tried to play it off like he didn’t care. He shrugged and looked at the pan in front of him, flipping the grilled cheese he was making before looking back at you and Kelly. “Matt’s in his office.” He said, smiling at you before returning to his cooking.
You looked around and waved at everyone as you walked past with Kelly. Sylvie and Violet were in the bunks, having gotten tired of the antics from truck and engine. They both popped up to pull you into a hug as you stepped into the bunk room with Kelly.
“Hey girl!” Sylvie exclaimed as she pulled you into a hug. “It’s been a while!”
Violet got to you next and smiled brightly as you both pulled away. “Yeah! What’s new?” She asked, looking you over as she noticed how pale you were and how much you were leaning into whoever was holding you.
“Finals and Christmas stuff. Gotta love the holidays.” You said, shrugging your shoulders lightly and gently pulling on Kelly. “Uncle Kel, can I go lay down in Matty’s office for a bit?” You whispered, one hand fisted into the back of his squad jacket while the other held his arm close to your body. You didn’t want to alert the medics that you were feeling extremely weak, but Kelly figured that would be the case with the three separate SVT alerts he had gotten today.
Kelly nodded and smiled at the medics before pulling you away and to Matt’s office. He knocked on the door and waited until Casey pulled his face out of the files of paper work on his desk to open the door. “Special delivery for Matty.” Kelly joked lightheartedly, but gave Matt a look they shared all too often lately.
Matt smiled warmly as you unceremoniously plopped down into his lap. “Well hey there kiddo.” Matt greeted, rubbing his hand up and down your back while checking your pulse with the other. “Rough day?” Matt asked, though he already knew the answer. Just like Kelly, Matt had gotten the same notification. He assumed you would be here and already had Kidd lined up to take over truck while you were in house.
You nodded, placing your head on Matt’s shoulder. You were always a physical touch person, but more so when you didn’t feel well. You'd find one of your brothers or uncles and plopped into their lap, soaking up their warmth as you lay your head on their shoulder. Nobody was surprised anymore after you’ve been doing this for years.
Matt nodded back, looking to Kelly as both of their phones chimed. Matt could feel your heart rate suddenly increase under the finger tips he had pressed to your neck. Sweat was building up where your forehead met Matt’s neck as you curled forward with a tiny gasp.
“What’s wrong?” Kelly asked, kneeling to be eye level with you. They could see that your heart rate was high, but you don’t normally react like that.
You dug a hand into your chest as you curled a little bit further forward. “I-it hurts. L-like my heart it, it’s fluttering, but there’s th-this pain.” You grunted, reaching your free hand out to grab onto Matt’s open one.
Kelly nodded, looking at Matt again. Matt mouthed “get Brett.” They didn’t want to scare you, but Matt could feel the way you were shaking against him, drawing in ragged breaths with your eyes squeezed shut. This wasn’t normal for you. The last time this happened, you ended up in the hospital. It was years ago, around the time your dad died. Matt racked his brain for more details while Kelly pulled the door open and stepped out to grab the two girls in the bunk room.
You whimpered as the pain got worse. Matt shushed you and grabbed your hand, leaning it toward him so that he could check your heart rate on your watch. It was steadily climbing. 180.184.186. Every second that went by, the higher your heart rate seemed to climb.
Sylvie slipped into the room as Kelly held the door open and stood in the doorway, not wanting to crowd you since Violet was still coming back with the crash kit. “Hey girly. What’s going on? Hmm?” Sylvie asked, taking your hand from Matt to peek at the watch herself. She looked at the watch and then at Matt with the question clear in her eyes, and Matt just nodded, confirming that the reading was accurate as he rested two fingers on the pulse point in your neck once again.
“H-hurts.” You grunted out, squirming in Matt’s lap, tears involuntarily slipping down your face as you tried bearing down like Conner had taught you.
Sylvie nodded as Violet came into the room. “Okay sweetie. Let’s have Matt lay you on his bunk, okay?” She said, standing up and taking a few steps back to let Matt move. As he did, Sylvie leaned back to talk to Kelly. “Go tell Boden to take us out of commission. I don’t like this.” She whispered as she watched Matt lay you down and immediately start helping Violet get you sorted.
Kelly nodded and walked toward the chief’s office. He didn’t want to leave you, but you were in the best hands and he needed a task to do anyways. He isn’t one for standing around during an emergency, especially when it comes to family.
Once Kelly was gone, Sylvie put her stethoscope on and stepped toward the side of the bed that Matt was on. “Alright. Let’s take a listen.” Sylvie said, sliding into the space Matt evacuated for her. She listened and made sure to school her face as she heard your heart skipping beats. She calmly took the stethoscope from her ears and put it around her neck as she glanced at the monitors Violet had you on. “Definitely hearing some palpitations. I saw her attempting a vagal maneuver earlier.” Brett told Violet. “We are going to have to medicate and get her to med. Matt, I need you to call Jay and Will.” Sylvie said, as she looked for the medicine in the crash kit.
“61 to main.” Violet said into her radio as she charted your vitals.
“Go ahead 61.” The dispatcher responded.
“We are transferring a patient from 51. 26 year old female in SVT. Heading to Med.” Violet responded, waiting for the all clear before switching channels. “61 to Med.” Violet said, watching as Matt nodded when he got off the phone with Will.
“Go ahead 61.” Maggie responded.
“Maggie. We’ve got Y/n Halstead here at 51 getting ready for transport. Matt called Will. She’s had multiple episodes of SVT and is currently in another. Vagal maneuver did nothing. Brett is pushing meds and then we will transport once she is stable.” Violet relayed, looking up as Kelly walked in with Boden on his heels.
“Copy that 61. We will have Conner on standby. We’ll be ready for little Halstead. Med out.” Maggie said.
Boden stepped in and surveyed the scene. “We heard the dispatch. How yah doin kiddo?” Boden asked, squeezing your foot.
You shakily tilted your hand back and forth, trying to force your eyes to stay open as Brett and Violet moved in tandem around you. You heard Matt mumbling to someone on the phone, but you were fighting to stay conscious. Suddenly, you could hear a loud beeping as many people called your name.
———————
When you woke up, your hands were held by someone on each side. You heard three different voices as the world started coming back into view. You groaned, drawing the attention to yourself.
“Hey kiddo. It’s alright.” Will whispered, standing from his chair to lean over you. You peeled your eyes open and looked up at your oldest brother, relishing in the comfort of his presence.
“Mmm. W-what happened?” You whisper, mouth feeling dry.
Jay stood and took the cup that Conner passed him from the table at the end of your bed. He eased the straw past your cracked lips and let you take a few sips before he pulled away. When you whined, he chuckled. “I know. Don’t want you making yourself sick. Gotta take it slow.” Jay placated, placing the water back on the table as he switched places with Conner.
“You gave us quite the scare young lady.” Conner said, getting his stethoscope out and taking a listen to your heart. “Much better now though. No flutter or anything.” Conner said, running a hand through your hair fondly. “You were at 51 and had a serious episode of SVT. Sylvie and Matt had to do compression when your heart stopped suddenly. They medicated and sedated you to tube you. We needed to let your heart rest for a little while, so we just recently weened you off the sedation and the vent.” Conner explained, stepping back to give Jay his spot back.
“I-I died?” You asked, eyes wide with fear. You looked between the three men as they all looked at each other. Finally, Jay spoke up.
“Yes, but only for a couple minutes. Violet was quick with the meds and Brett had you tubed and back in no time.” Jay soothed, clutching your hand in his.
“How l-long?” You asked Conner. “H-how long w-was I out?” You asked, wondering if you missed the holidays.
Conner smiled, squeezing your foot once more. “Don’t worry. It was only for 48 hours.” Conner soothed.
“Before you ask, your exam for your last class was waved and they are using the mean score of all your exams from the semester. We also brought your Christmas presents for you to keep you occupied and so you could finish them while you are resting here for the next 48 hours.” Will said, pulling the bag out and placing it at the foot of your bed. “We want to keep an eye on you. We already have a rotating schedule so that your never alone, and I can pop in during my shift tomorrow.” Will supplied, kissing the back of your hand as you settled.
You knew better to fight them, but you were also grateful to be here and alive. You felt safer being watched for a few more days, even though you hate hospitals as much as Jay. At least you’d have people by your side and plenty of presents to finish making to keep you occupied.

Snowfall, Part 5 - Shadows and Light
Summary: Bucky is joined by several Avengers, eager to support him by helping to find Leia. After the case is resolved, Bucky and Leia discuss their future.
Length: 4.9 K
Characters: Leia, Morrison, Bucky, Sam Wilson, Clint Barton, Joaquin Torres, Happy.
Warnings: Violence causing injury, near death experience, perceived hallucinations, medical treatment (edited for this story), emotional reveal.
Author notes: Final part of this short fiction piece. Originally, I tried to write in another half-sibling blaming Leah for the sins of their shared father, but it just didn’t work so this is the ending that felt true to me.
<<Part 4
Leia
Watching Bucky selflessly helping others during the evacuation of the building was uplifting, especially when he carried the older lady down the stairs. It was obvious she was impressed with his strength and gallantry as she kept telling him what a good man he was. He just accepted the compliments with quiet grace. When he heard the call for help with some others outside, he didn't hesitate to step forward, with Leia's blessing. As she watched him pick up another senior, she felt something hard poke into her back. Turning her head to see it, she was stopped by a man's voice.
"Don't turn around. Leave the cat and your purse and come with me, or I'll set off the bomb I have hidden out here."
Slowly, she lowered the cat carrier to the ground, placed her purse on it, then felt herself being pulled away, through the phalanx of fire department and police vehicles, to where a car sat parked at the side of the road. As the man reached for the car door, she whirled around and hit him several times in the face with her fists, knocking his beanie off in the process. His surprise at her resistance didn't last, and he hit her back hard enough to knock her senseless, before pushing her into the back seat and driving away. She remembered looking at him from where she was sprawled in the back, struggling to stay conscious, and seeing the adult face that the sketch artist had drawn. Bucky's recall of the man's features was on the money, except his bloody nose looked swollen now, thanks to her punches. Then, the darkness took over and she passed out.
It was barely light outside when she came around, still in the back seat. The car was in motion. She must have made a noise as the man turned his head back to look at her briefly.
"I was beginning to worry about you," he said. "I must have hit you harder than I thought. Sorry about that."
"No, you're not, Mitchell."
"You remember me, now? Well, that's something. When you didn't recognize me at the farmer's market, I was quite offended."
"Well, you have changed since you were a kid," answered Leia, sitting up and looking outside in the hopes of seeing a road sign. They were on a country road, surrounded by farmland, no buildings in sight. "It wasn't until they did a police sketch of you and de-aged it that I recognized you."
"We're not on the highway," he said, noticing what she was doing. "In fact, we're taking the long way home. Your real home."
"It hasn't been home since Mikey died." She slid her hand into her coat pocket, feeling her house keys in there, threading them in between her fingers. "Do you still live there?"
"I never really left." He gave out a quick laugh. "Well, I did live in a state facility for a while but I'm never going back there." He looked forward again. "Why did you abandon me? I was hurting so bad and you just left without even saying goodbye."
Oh boy. "I was twelve years old, Mitchell. My dad was with his girlfriend while my brother accidentally shot himself. There was no way my mother was staying around. It's not like we were involved. We were kids."
"We were friends!" He shook with the anger he was feeling, his nostrils flaring and his breathing heavy with emotion. "I was going to marry you."
"I didn't even like you."
He slammed on the brakes and reached into the back seat to grab her. Leia pulled the keys out, raking them across his face with all the force she could muster. He screamed and pressed the accelerator then twisted the wheel violently, causing the car to plow into a large snow drift at the side of the road that enclosed the front part of the car. The front seat airbags deployed, enveloping Morrison in their sudden embrace. Leia, who had managed to hold on, glanced quickly at him noticing he appeared dazed. Taking advantage of the opportunity, she scrambled out through the back window that still worked, landing in snow up to her hips and slogged through it then began to run on the country road. She kept running, doing all she could to put distance between herself and the car. Every time she looked back, she didn't see him coming after her.
You're doing good. Keep going. Bucky will find you. He promised.
Without her watch and phone, Leia didn't know how long she ran. It felt like forever, but with her head still feeling sluggish and the cloud cover preventing the sun from casting shadows, it could have been only minutes. More snow fell here than in New York as everything was covered. There was no sign of anyone, no cars, no one outside any of the buildings she saw in the far distance across the empty fields. She had already lost one glove, when she tripped and fell hard enough to knock the air out of herself. It wasn’t until a short time later that she realized it was gone and that was only because she moved some hair off her face and saw the bare hand. For a moment she considered going back to look for it but the fear that Mitchell was coming after her was so strong that she kept going instead, experiencing another surge of adrenaline. In the loud silence the only sounds she could hear were of the wind, her breathing and the dull plod of her feet in the snow. When that surge of energy finally wore off and she slowed down to a walk she knew she had to find shelter. It was obvious the temperature was dropping. If she could find someplace with a phone she could call for help. As if a higher power heard her, she came to a crossroads and saw a warehouse building in the distance on the road that went left. It was the closest building even though it was at least half a mile away. She picked up her pace to reach the entry into the property. Its parking area had been plowed at some point although it was empty now and covered in a thick layer of snow with some drifts. Still, she could break in and trigger the security alarm; that would bring help.
Staggering up to the glass door, she pounded on the frame, calling for help but there was no one there. Looking around, she saw a large rock, about the size of a grapefruit, used to edge the parking lot. It was partially exposed, and she tried to pick it up, but it was frozen into place. Kicking at it repeatedly until it loosened, she picked it up, smashed the glass, then reached inside and turned the lock mechanism, opening the door. There were no indications that the place was being used; no furniture, no papers, or personal items were visible. It didn't even seem to be heated but at least it would block the wind. Seeing a phone, she picked it up, but the line was dead. Every phone she picked up had no signal. Unless a realtor was bringing someone to see it, she was on her own. She was going to have to wait for someone to find her because she couldn't go any further.
It will be alright. He's already looking. He'll come for you.
Bucky
He was inside his storage locker, pulling out his combat gear and a satchel of weapons when he heard the footsteps from the indoor hallway of the storage facility. With a shake of his head at how fast the man got there, he turned just as Sam appeared at the doorway.
"I was wondering if Pepper would call you in," he said to his friend. "Obviously, I fucked up and need Captain America to save the day."
"You know that's not how it works," replied Sam, coming closer and looking at the assortment of weapons. "You really need all that?"
"I've underestimated him one too many times. He hurt the agent who was watching the outside of the building so he couldn’t warn us. Don't know if he's working alone or if he has followers, or what. But I'm not taking any chances." He glanced at Sam, noticing he wore the suit but not the wings. "You're almost ready for action. I have to be as well."
"I'm not a super soldier so I need all my tools. I got the alert yesterday about the purse snatcher from Pepper. Figured I would come up anyway to offer a hand, but he didn't waste any time, did he?" Bucky grunted as he zipped the satchel up. "What are you planning to use for transport?"
"Beg for the use of a car or truck, I guess." He looked at Sam again. "What alert?"
"You might be on secondment to the FBI for this but the rest of us already think of you as an Avenger, even though we're not official. You really think we're going to let you handle this alone?" He went back to the door and jerked his head towards the hallway. "Come on."
With some trepidation, Bucky locked up the storage locker and followed Sam outside in the pre-dawn light to see a quinjet in the parking lot; its bulk dwarfing the cars and trucks beside it. He could see through the cockpit window that Clint was in the pilot's seat, giving him a small salute. Beside him was Joaquin Torres, the young intelligence officer that helped with the Flag Smashers. Sam had spent a lot of time with him after the lieutenant repaired the broken EXO-7 Falcon suit that John Walker destroyed. It was also one of the reasons Bucky returned to New York, although he never mentioned to anyone about feeling left out by their training, thinking it made him seem jealous of the time Sam spent with the eager recruit. Torres grinned at Bucky in that annoying way he had, but the fact he stepped up meant a lot. As Bucky walked up the ramp he was surprised to see Happy Hogan at the computer station.
"You didn't think I was just a pretty face did you, Sarge?" he asked. "You needed transport and someone to monitor the situation while you guys are doing your thing. I have some leads."
"What about the FBI?" asked Bucky. "What about Alpine? I left her with you in good faith."
"Alpine is with Mrs. Stark and Morgan. She's in good hands. As for the FBI, they've decided we're better equipped to deal with the guy, something about us not being bound by protocol. But they provided us with some information. The blood that was at the scene of Ms. Dunn's abduction is confirmed to belong to Mitchell Morrison. First diagnosed with an obsessive love disorder when he was 15, which is a delusion that he is in love with a certain individual, he's been arrested for stalking the object of his obsessions several times. Ordered to give a blood sample after an incident about 5 years ago, he's managed to avoid forced incarceration by voluntarily undergoing treatment several times at a state facility for his disorder. He walked out almost two months ago, a few days after he got a day pass to attend a farmer's market with his mother and a nurse." He looked compassionately at Bucky. "It's where he saw Leia again, apparently, the first girl he obsessed about according to his mother. She still lives in the same house, but she swears she hasn't seen him since. There's a good chance he's headed there, according to the profilers. He always comes home."
"They've been wrong before," said Bucky, stubbornly. "He shouldn't have known where we lived."
"True, but he's shown flashes of genius at the state facility and seems to have a passion for spy craft. He's definitely a lone wolf type of guy, making friends with only a couple of people, one of them an outpatient named Edward Ruskin. I think he's been two steps ahead the entire time."
"Okay, what's the plan?" Bucky sat next to Happy, looking at the screens he had up of the road systems of Pennsylvania.
"He's using his mother's car which she didn't report stolen because, let's face it, he's still her son. The FBI have already checked New York City roadways and picked him up on several traffic cameras, showing him heading west towards New Jersey. But there's been nothing on any of the major highways or toll roads since then, so he's using smaller roads, which aren't in good shape the further west we go as they actually had a blizzard." He gestured to the screen. "That's a lot of roads to cover. He's either switched vehicles, removed the car's GPS or has hacked into it to turn it off so we can't find him that way. So we do it the old-fashioned way by a grid search. Which is why we have the winged guys, and the quinjet. Based on the time Leia was taken, and the top speed we could expect Morrison to drive on a country road in these conditions, we concentrate our search in this area."
He pressed a button on the console, bringing up a more precise map of country roads from the eastern border to where Morrison's mother lived. There was still a lot of ground to cover.
"Are local or state police involved?" asked Bucky.
"Yes and no," answered Happy. "This snowfall has made road travel difficult and many of them are dealing with accidents or rescuing stranded motorists, as the wind is still blowing snow into heavy drifts. If they see something they're supposed to contact us, but given the size of the area it's still a long shot."
"We'll configure the sensors in our suits and the quinjet for two heat signatures inside a car or truck, just in case he's switched vehicles," said Sam. "At least that way we can narrow down the vehicles we're tracking."
Don't go there. Don't go there. Don't go there.
"What if he's ... dealt with her already and got rid of her?"
No one said anything, then Sam gently put his hand on Bucky's shoulder.
"Then we hunt him down. No one will blame you if it gets out of hand."
"She was wearing her red coat. Can the sensors pick out colours?"
Sam looked at Clint then at Happy, who each considered it for a moment.
"Only one way to find out."
The big man's pudgy fingers flew over the keyboard of the quinjet's system computers, looking for anything that indicated a filter that focused on a certain colour. When he found it, he activated it then sent the command to Sam's and Joaquin's suits. With that done, Clint and Joaquin returned to the pilot's chairs and raised the quinjet into the air just as the sun came up, with Clint advising air traffic control of their takeoff. Within minutes they were crossing over the Hudson River into New Jersey. Ten minutes later they were approaching the coordinates of the first part of the grid. Sam and Joaquin both suited up and checked to make sure their systems were working properly, then the ramp at the back opened and the two men flew out, Joaquin flying to the north of where the quinjet's flight path was, while Sam took the southern path. Bucky assumed the co-pilot's seat and the search began.
Forty minutes later they were at the outskirts of the town where Morrison's mother still lived, but no results. Happy sent the next coordinates for their second pass, and they headed back east along the path with no results. The third and fourth passes also didn't provide any hits. They began the fifth pass and halfway along it, Joaquin radioed.
"I got a hit on a large metal object stuck at the side of the road. Going to investigate."
He hovered over it, confirming it was a vehicle partially buried in a large snow drift. Landing gently on the side that was accessible, he noticed the window was open in the back seat. Peering inside, he could see Morrison, slumped in the front seat, covered in blood.
"Man down," he said. "It's Morrison. Sensors indicate his life signs are unstable. He's got injuries."
"Calling for medical assistance," said Happy. "Stay with the vehicle. We're coming in."
Before the quinjet landed Bucky was back at the ramp, pressing the button that lowered it. He jumped the final 50 feet, landing hard on the frozen roadway and strode to where Sam had already landed. They both looked inside at Morrison, noticing the deployed airbags, and because of his injuries, realizing that Leia must have forced him into the snowbank.
"Smart woman," said Sam, "but where is she now?"
Bucky looked in all directions. The blowing snow had covered everything. Tracking her footsteps would be difficult in this wind as it filled in everything within minutes.
"The purse snatcher remarked that her coat made her visible. But in this cold, she needed to keep her coat on, so she must have been sure she hurt him badly enough to do that." He looked back at the vehicle, at how it was positioned, then at the large drift that enclosed it. There was no sign of anyone trying to climb through it other than the few spots that showed where she came out and even they were quite filled in. She had to have gone back the way they came. "This way. We look this way."
Sam rose into the air, while Bucky used his comms earpiece to tell Clint he was following on the ground. The quinjet took the other direction, just in case, while Joaquin stayed with the car, promising to join them after medical help arrived. It was slow going as Sam's sensors were confused by the lack of definition in the snowy landscape. If she were unconscious, and covered in the snow, he could easily fly right over her. Bucky had to push through several drifts which must have formed after the car hit the one it did. There was no sign that Leia had gone through after they were formed. Just as they were about to re-evaluate their search, Bucky saw a flash of colour in the road, between two smaller drifts. Scrambling to it he brushed the snow off and recognized it as one of Leia’s gloves.
“Found something, a glove,” he reported, then looked up to where Sam had circled back towards him. “She definitely came this way.”
“There’s a lone building about a half mile east then another half mile north from your location,” said Happy, from the quinjet. “Sam, check it out. We’re on our way.”
Sam reported sighting a warehouse about a half mile north from the next crossroad. He flew closer to investigate, reporting it was part of a new industrial park being built, according to the sign.
"I'm going to check it out," said Sam. "It's the closest place to the car." Bucky sped up after reaching the road north, just as Sam landed beside the structure. "The door was broken into. Entering the building." Another moment passed, then just as Bucky reached the parking area, he heard Sam. "She's here. Barely conscious and hypothermic. Clint, land in the parking lot and get the med kit ready. She needs immediate treatment."
Bucky stepped through the small drift that had formed through the broken door, finding Sam in an office where Leia was curled up, almost triggering a PTSD episode from his own time in cryosleep. He forced it back down then reached to pick her up, but his friend hesitated and put his hand out to stop him.
"My sensors read her body temperature as 84°. That's right on the edge between moderate and severe hypothermia. We have to handle her very carefully."
"Just tell me what to do," replied Bucky, his face showing his worry as Leia moaned incoherently.
"Bring a stretcher and see if there is a portable heater in the cargo hold that we can use to raise the temperature in here to warm her up a little. If I can get her internal temperature up a few degrees, we can move her."
Removing his wings, Sam began assessing her using his medical knowledge from when he was a pararescue. He did what he could before Bucky returned with the stretcher and Clint brought the med kit and heater. The heater, battery powered, was set up and turned on. Sam went through the med kit and brought out the thermal coverings they had, wrapping Leia up in them. He instructed Bucky to gently hold her exposed hand with his right hand, knowing his body temperature ran warmer than everyone's. As the interior of the room warmed up, there was more lucidity in Leia's manner. For a moment she focused on Bucky.
"Found me," she murmured. "He said you would come."
"Shh, baby, it's okay." He spoke to her soothingly. "You're going to be alright. You did good."
She nodded her head, then closed her eyes. When Sam's suit sensors showed her temperature almost at 90°, he gave the okay to move her and they loaded her onto the stretcher, then into the quinjet, where Happy pulled out a sliding platform used as a cot. With Joaquin signalling that he was on his way, they waited for him before lifting off and heading for the nearest hospital with a trauma unit. Bucky never left her side.
A week later
Comfortably set up on the couch, pushed near the window so the late afternoon sun would warm her up, with several cushions behind her, and a blanket and sleeping cat on her lap, Leia sipped the tea that Bucky made for her. He sat on the floor just below her, reading a book, occasionally leaning into her hand as she stroked his hair. The swelling in her hands, a reaction from the hypothermia was completely gone now, and other than often feeling chilled she suffered no other effects from her brush with death. As she watched Bucky read the same page several times over, Leia knew it was time to talk about what she went through. It had taken her several days to think on her experience, but she wanted to tell Bucky first.
"I'm ready to talk," she said calmly. "I know you've been patient but if I have to watch you read that page again, I might take the book out of your hands and toss it away."
He folded it shut and placed it on the coffee table, then turned so that he was looking up at her from the floor. Gently, he kissed her hand.
"Where do you want to start?"
"Well, you already know what I did to him," she said. "I broke his nose when he first took me, then I cut him up a lot when I jammed the keys into his face when we got to Pennsylvania. After that I got out of the car and went on instinct, running away for as long as I could, just putting as much distance between us as possible. Every time I looked back, I saw nothing, so I figured I hurt him enough to keep him there. I was still afraid that he was coming for me." She hesitated as this is where it got strange. "Have you ever heard of the third man factor?"
"Yeah, there's a book about it that I've been interested in reading," he answered.
She smiled. "Good to know. Maybe I have time to order it for your Christmas present." Her face became serious again. "After I ran for some time, I heard a voice tell me I was doing good and to keep going, because you would find me. It did keep me going. Then when I found that building and hunkered down in one of the offices the voice came back and said I would be alright because you were coming for me. I just had to hang on and wait."
"You did," he smiled, kissing her hand again.
Leia let out a shaky breath. "Just before you and Sam got there, I was ready to give in and let it all go." Her eyes teared up. "I was at peace with it. After all the bad things that happened in my life, Mikey dying, Dad and Jake being cheating husbands, the stalker ... I at least got to be in real love with a good man who loved me back." She wiped her nose, then laughed a little when Bucky handed her his handkerchief. "I saw who the voice belonged to. It was Mikey, but he wasn't a boy anymore. He was a man, and he was so beautiful, surrounded by this glowing light. He told me you were almost there and that I couldn't give up now, not when the love of my life was coming to my rescue. Oh Bucky."
She cried in earnest now and Bucky got up from the floor, picked Alpine off her lap, placing her further down, then he lifted Leia onto his lap, blanket, and all, holding her in his arms, rocking her like a baby. He cried as well, knowing that she believed in their love as deeply as he did. It wasn't one-sided, or an infatuation, or wishful thinking; it was something real, and incredible, and life changing. As she gradually calmed down, he wiped the tears away from both their faces then kissed her on the forehead.
"There's something I want to ask you," he began. "We've only known each other for a few weeks but I want to know if you'll move in with me."
"Aren't we doing that already?" she chuckled. "I kind of assumed we were going to continue on. I can't imagine you moving out now."
"I mean, in our own place, that we own, and furnish ourselves, with room to grow." He ran one hand through his hair. "It never came up before but I'm quite well off, having received my settlement for back pay, adjusted for inflation and whatever, plus for damages over what was done to me. When I was on my own, I was content to live in my little flat, being a bit of a hermit, and frankly, floundering a little. But then I met you and now I want more. I want a life with you. It's not a proposal or anything because that's a whole other thing to consider ...."
Her mouth crashed onto his, as she kissed him deeply, leaving him no choice but to respond in kind. It felt so right, holding her close enough to feel her heart beating against his chest, almost like they were working in synchronization. As they kept kissing, they stretched out on the couch, sending Alpine to the floor, with a meow of complaint. They ended the kiss and watched the cat walk away, definitely offended that they took over the couch.
"We should get a big chair just for her," said Leia. "You know, one of those chair and a half pieces."
"There's no such thing," scoffed Bucky. "There are sofas, love seats, and armchairs. What are chair and a half's?"
She reached for her phone, searching for it, then showing him the picture. He raised his eyebrows then nodded his head conceding her point.
"I stand corrected. Can we get one of those big sofas that would easily fit both of us lying down if we wanted to watch a movie together?"
She nodded, then put her phone down and ran her hand through his hair, looking lovingly at him.
"We're going to do this, huh? Move in together for real, not just for the assignment?"
"For real. Maybe even find a place with an office for you to write in. How else are you going to be the next Margaret Atwood?" He grinned. "I just want a home that is ours, one that we can grow into, if we, you know ... make it permanent someday."
"Bucky, home is wherever you are and as far as I'm concerned, we're permanent now. I'm yours because you're the love of my life. I believe that with all my heart."
"So do I."
They kissed again; languidly enjoying the taste and touch of each other. As the late afternoon turned into dusk, then evening, they laid on the couch, watching the snowfall through the window. It reminded them of their first date, when they walked back to this apartment and shared their first kiss. That's when they initially knew there was something meaningful between them. Whatever was to come would be faced together, with love and trust. As they kissed, neither of them saw Alpine playfully bat at a barely visible glow in the corner of the room that subtly pulsed and shifted. They didn't notice she followed the glow to another window beside the unlit Christmas tree, where it seemed to pause before dissipating through the glass and joining the snowfall outside. Then Alpine turned back to the couch, jumping up and purring as she settled beside her humans. The other one said he wanted her to watch over them and she was quite happy to accept the assignment.

Two in the Bush 8
Part 7
Steve’s wardrobe options had gotten more limited as his belly grew, but he tried not to feel some type of way about it. He was still able to dress in a nice shirt and pants and not look too out of place when they brought him to the restaurant. An upscale kind of place that made him wonder how they’d found this place.
“Some guy I know works here”, Billy said as they were taken to their table.
“And he admits that to other people?”, Eddie gasped.
“Watch it, Munson. I’m trying to be nice.”
Steve smiled. He had to admit, just a few months ago, Billy would’ve just decked Eddie and be done with it, ruining the mood and their night. The fact that the three of them were even doing something like this. A date was different than just going out to eat. This was both Eddie and Billy showing their intentions with Steve, and thus their intentions with his pup.
Conversation flowed easily between the three of them, it always did. Eddie was naturally talkative, as was Steve. Billy was less so, but he surprised Steve with what he said sometimes. It made Steve realize he was a good listener.
“So about that one guy…”, Eddie started as their appetizers were replaced with their entrees.
“The alpha redhead or the blonde beta?”, Steve asked.
“Redhead”, Eddie answered.
“You mean Manfred?”, Billy asked.
Eddie snapped his fingers. “Manfred! Yeah! He came in again, trying to micromanage and shit.”
“Isn’t that the same guy who couldn’t tell he was driving on bald tires? And he couldn’t remember which mother gave birth to which kid?”
“The very same! Tires bald as hell and shuffling around like he knows shit.”
“Speaking of kids”, Billy said as he looked to Steve. “You thought of names yet?”
“I’ve thought of several. But I’m not really gonna know until I’m holding them in my arms.” Steve smiled, bringing a hand down to his bump. “I did decide on the names you guys are involved in.”
“Oh?”, Eddie leaned in, intrigued.
Steve nodded, smiling at him. “Whoever the real sire is, the baby will get their last name.” Then he looked at Billy. “And whoever isn’t the father, will get to give them a middle name.”
Billy blinked in surprise. “You’d do that?”
“It only seems fair”, Steve said, looking at the both of them. “Only one of you is the father by blood but you’ve both taken care of me and this pup.”
They went with Steve to doctor appointments whenever they could. They helped him modify his diet, even foregoing some things just so Steve didn’t get jealous. They had massaged his back and feet to relieve aches. Steve had been prepared to do this with just himself and Robin. But with two extra hands, the load was much lighter.
Steve found himself staring at them both more and more. He knew he was lucky, so incredibly lucky. To have not just one but two alphas vying for his hand and fatherhood of his pup. There were plenty of alphas who turned tail at the first mention of the word ‘baby’. Eddie and Billy had not only NOT turned away. They ran at Steve in full force. After dessert, Steve watched them split the bill and then they were on their way home.
He was feeling satisfied in a way he hadn’t in a while. And he didn’t miss the way their gazes lingered on him. Steve wasn’t completely surprised that guys had stopped coming up to him in public. A prominent belly didn’t do much for his dating prospects. And he had gained weight in other places as well. He told himself he was still a catch and that after having the baby he could get right back out there. But sometimes when he looked in the mirror, it was harder to convince himself of that.
The way Billy and Eddie looked at him though, were looking at him right now, it was the same way they always did. It carried the same heat, the same desire. There was a small voice in the back of his head. The one that tried to keep him from making bad decisions. But as they got back home and started towards the stairs, it got quieter and quieter. Steve had forgotten why this was a bad idea in the first place.
Before the other two could part ways to go to their respective rooms, Steve cleared his throat, making them pause. Steve stood at the door of his own room.
“Do you two…wanna come in?”
They entered wordlessly, Billy on him in seconds, lips on his and hands in his hair as Eddie closed the bedroom door. Then Steve felt a warmth at his back that could only be Eddie.
“You sure about this?”, he whispered as he kissed his ear.
Steve broke away from Billy’s mouth to nod. “I’m sure. I know it.”
“What about Robin?”, Billy asked, already unbuttoning Steve’s shirt.
“She’s out. Won’t be back until morning.” She’d told him as much when Steve told her about this date. And at the time, he had assured her there was no need. But she’d given him a look, full of meaning. She knew him better than he knew himself.
“Then we’ve got all night”, Billy grinned, showing his teeth.
Eddie brought his own teeth out, nipping at Steve’s ear and the back of his neck. He was surrounded on all sides but he didn’t feel caged in. No, he felt embraced. One hand went to Billy’s jaw while the other reached behind, bringing Eddie’s arm around him. As the fell together into bed, a different voice became louder and louder in Steve’s mind.
A voice that said this was the best idea he ever had.

A and C won’t die, but B will think they’ve killed them and be set free, forever living with that guilt. Or, they kill themselves to let their ‘lover’ free.
This game continued until one day, when faced with this same scenario, character *D* kills themselves to set A free. However, when C shows up and celebrates with A, D stands back up. D is also immortal.
