Dropping Byler Evidence Every (Other) Day Until Season 5

Ah yes, I can finally start analysing one of my favourite scenes heehehehe (the airport)

I have decided to split this analysis up into two sections lmaooo, um you can read under the cut down below the first part of the analysis if you want something that is very speculatory, and isn't necessarily evidence, more like something interesting.

First of all, the act of getting your girlfriend flowers is a classic, 'I know how to be a good boyfriend!' act, while still showing that there are problems underneath the surface. In this scene, the point of the flowers is to be a symbol. Otherwise, what would it be? Something to further show that Milkvan is cute and endearing? That doesn't line up with the rest of the airport scene which conveys their problems (all the lies and pretending).

The flowers are in this scene to be a symbol of Mike and El's relationship.

At first this seems like it sheds some positive light on Milkvan because it's obviously a nice gift, and she would appreciate it because they are her favourite colours. However, the things that Mike says in relation to the flowers seem extremely out of place and specific. Now, saying that he 'hand picked' them for her in Hawkins is a nice gesture that a lot of shippers really appreciate, but it is really important to the overall symbolism that he is the one who makes the choice about the colours. (more on that later)

He says some really 'random' stuff:

"I know you also like purple so I got some purples as well so I kind of did a 70/30 split kind of thing"

The 70/30 comment is so specific. The writers really like to put subtle foreshadowing into their dialogue, and being that this scene is at the beginning of the show, i believe it must be talking about how much he puts into the relationship versus how much he's getting out of it. An inequitable relationship is unsatisfying (x, xx), which may show that it's probably either Mike or El putting in the effort while getting less out of it. (Mike puts in the effort to seem normal and functioning while not getting true happiness out of it, El puts in the effort of lying and doing romantic things while not getting an expression of love out of it, which is what she thinks she needs.)

As for him handpicking them in Hawkins.... well....

The same flowers that El, EL, picks up and inspects are the ones that Mike picked out himself in the same town. By the end of the season, their relationship is extremely different than it was at the start, the 70/30 split is no longer a split, it's simply a 0, because the flowers are dead.

So these are 2 instances so far of the characters calling upon flowers for symbolism and.... there is a third one, which is right at the beginning of S4.

See this is why I truly believe that these must be a symbol of Mike and El's relationship. Mike picked spring flowers for El, which are a symbol of their relationship being inequitable, and later on, they are used to symbolise their relationship literally dying (damn). But this here is what shows that El will be fine on her own. Time and time again, Millie and the writers have said/written that El needs to find herself and who she is without the men in her life.

So: "At first I missed [my relationship with Mike], but now I [can find happiness]."

Flowers = Mil*ven. And it's also interesting that yellow flowers symbolise friendship and purple flowers symbolise admiration, and as we know, admiration for her powers is one of the main things that Mike ends up referencing when he admits his 'love' to her.

Now, the yellow flowers being in the bouquet is interesting because, as stated very importantly by Mike himself, he was the one who picked them. Meaning, he would have made the decision, however subconscious, to put 'too many' yellow flowers into the bouquet. And another thing we also know is that yellow is Will's colour.

This colour symbolism is emphasised during the season, when Will wears the colour yellow for the majority of it, and is placed under the yellow light in this scene^

Another funny thing that I noticed is that Mike says:

"I know you like the colour yellow, but now I'm realising that it's too much yellow."

Rewatching this scene makes me think it's kind of odd for him to say that he's just now realising that it's too much yellow. As if he accidentally put too much in, and kind of realises it in that moment like he's saying sorry to her about it?? But then he just takes that realisation and turns it into a 'romantic' thing, acting like he'd intended that the whole time with the '70/30' split.

That means he didn't actually mean to. The writers are trying to convey through symbolism that Mike has been thinking of Will subconsciously the past few months, which is then confirmed by the Rink o Mania scene and the Cool Cool scene. He only regrets the fact that he did it in retrospect. Aka as soon as he sees El.

SO: The flowers are a symbol for Mike and El's relationship, showing that they put in a lot of work into the relationship, but do not get an equal amount out of it, which is unsatisfying. The flowers also are shown to be dead by the end of the season. El says that at first she missed the flowers, but in the end, she's fine without them.

NOW TIME FOR THE STRANGE STUFF

So this is at the end of S1, and if we assume that there are no, throwaway lines in Stranger things, we should be able to also assume that this is meant to foreshadow something. In my opinion, this has to foreshadow S4 and S5.

In this scene, it's clear that the kids (symbolising the audience of stranger things) are talking about something that Mike (symbolising the writers of stranger things) has left out or not explained. This is what happens in S4.

What about the lost knight? -- This refers to Mike, whose DND character is obviously a paladin, but Will draws him and paints him as a knight in shining armour. He is clearly 'lost' because he does not know what to do about his relationships with Will and El at the end of S4. He has just said he loved El, but he still wants to help Will and doesn't really know his feelings until the painting is revealed. Therefore he is lost.

And the proud princess? -- It doesn't take much deducing to know that this has to refer to El, whose arc in S4 is to realise that she is not a monster for having her powers, making her proud of who she is. The audience are worried about her and her fate, because she seems at a crossroads.

And the weird flowers in the cave? -- Obviously, I've already talked about the flowers being a symbol for Mike and El's relationship. The 'weird' part about them is that they are so inconsistent and out of place on a show like ST, because of how conformist it seems in comparison to their nonconformist message. 'In the cave' refers to the fact that the flowers are dead, and now part of the UD, which is the 'cave'.

In This LAST SCENE:

El is stood in front of the others, now with her powers that she is proud of.

Mike is stood with Will, lost in relation to his feelings towards both El and Will, not truly understanding them.

The flowers are rotting. In the 'cave' (UD)

My thoughts on S6 Part 2 (Part 1 🤣)

Well it’s been a MINUTE but I am back after the release of S6 part 2. AND BOY do I have some thoughts which I will be discussing more and more over time. So here are some of my problems with the latest part, some of which centre around Robby as well as some that don’t. Also *DISCUSSION OF POTENTIAL SPOILERS AND LEAKS FOR PART 3 AHEAD*

- A major issue for me was Robby getting straight up SA’d which was completely glossed over and honestly I’m appalled. It’s not confirmed that Robby and Zara slept together but the implication is there. Robby was blackout drunk and therefore could not give consent and Zara took advantage of him. This isn’t the first instance of SA that has occurred on this show and the throw away nature with which this issue is treated is an irresponsible failure on the writers’ part.

- The writers didn’t truly give Robby his moment to shine. If part 3 is going to be Miguel’s and he’s going to win the Sekai Taikai which is looking pretty inevitable at this point due to some of the supposed leaks, part 2 should have been definitively Robby’s. But no. Naturally when something good happens in Robby’s life like him winning the ST captaincy fight, it is short lived and often snatched away from him just as quickly. I didn’t necessarily mind Robby struggling at first due to Tory switching sides. However the writers pushed it to the point of complete overkill. They kept lazily repeating the same old character beat that we saw in season 4- Robby gaining the upper hand before getting distracted and losing. That got old and boring real fast. Add to that Robby’s moment once again being overshadowed by Miguel performing well. They gave Robby ONE good fight in part 2 and even that went on to be immediately overshadowed and borderline discredited by his match with Axel. Long story short, I could nearly make my peace with Miguel winning in part 3 if the whole reason they’re competing in the finals in the first place is Robby. But if anything, Miguel shone more than Robby in part 2 and this will likely continue in part 3.

- Kwon’s death was no more than pure shock value and lazy writing. You could argue that Kwon’s death is a pivotal moment and a wake up call for the likes of Kreese and silver. Look at what happens when you take rivalries too far and corrupt teenagers. That is no doubt what the writers will frame it as. I just think it was too much and for what? The real reason the killed Kwon off is because of his rivalry with Robby. Part 2 was very obviously setting up Miguel and Axel’s rivalry which will be a big focus in part 3. Meanwhile Robby and Kwon’s rivalry was actually being fleshed out very nicely in part 2. Then, just as that rivalry was starting to really heat up and get really intriguing- they killed off Kwon. It’s fairly obvious that this is so they can give full attention to Miguel and Axel’s rivalry in part 3 without having to worry about further fleshing out Robby and Kwon’s rivalry. That would just be too much for them. In addition, Kwon’s death will facilitate Miguel’s ascension to captain. Johnny will retake Cobra Kai with Miguel as captain now that Kwon and the Korean Cobra Kai are out of the way. Johnny will do this with support of Kreese given that Johnny jumped in to save him and given that Kreese will have a change of heart due to Kwon’s death. Kwon’s death is a lazy end to his rivalry with Robby and a means of yet again facilitating Miguel at Robby’s expense.

- I actually quite like the idea of Miguel and Axel’s rivalry. I was excited to see that Miguel and Robby would be given new rivals (RIP to Robby’s though oh well). I just think that the way this rivalry came about was so forced and yet again lazy writing. Surely they can think of some way to give Miguel a rivalry without it always being over Sam? Why not just have him and Axel kind of single each other out and see each other as their main competition. I just wasn’t buying Axel having such an extreme vendetta against Miguel for…….. already dating Sam? A girl Axel has spoken to once and barely knows and now he’s acting like he’s borderline in love with her after one encounter. And I get it, Axel is being abused by his sensei and probably isn’t too used to positive attention but even so, again he hardly knows Sam. It’s just such an extreme reaction and in my opinion not really that believable.

first off: icarus as max. it's hilarious to give icarus a role where they actually succeed in killing a bunch of people and jock icarus is a fun concept not often explored.

this in turn makes centross and easton the two football friends who become immediately more chill once icarus is taken out of the picture, and also makes ven grace chasity

the main nerd gang is harder though, cause you can go so many ways with it. i think the best combo is:

rae as peter (he deserves to get Cool As I Think I Am. and also icarus kicking the shit out of him feels correct)

jamie and athena as richie and ruth (ruth is the hardest to nail down because she's so. Like That. but yknow that one shot of richie and ruth literally hanging off of peter and demanding to know what he's talking about with steph? that gives me lab assistants energy. and icarus gets to kill jamie for real this time.)

fenris as steph (he's so much cooler than the rest of these people and falls SO HARD for rae. goddamn)

ocie and momboo as steph's two cheerleader friends (world sisters!!specifically ocie because one cheerleader friend dates one of the football friends. go centross and ocie <3)

the major gods are the lords in black if you just ignore that there are four instead of five, and of course fable is wiggly. i cannot explain why specifically npmd wiggly gives off such strong fable energy when he doesn't at all in black friday but he does. maybe it's the plastic crown. or that he looks like he'd bully me.

everyone else, take your pick. we've been debating for a while and have absolutely no clue who shapiro could be

fenris is going to ascend. i am like 98 percent certain. he's been having the same changes to the body and elevated senses/boost in powers that centross was having pre-cathedral, and that it's implied casus had pre-ascension. those changes coming on their own also points to him becoming a full-fledged minor god and not a patron, i think. i am so expecting a fakeout death cutting to ascension today. but then again, i was about this certain about wolf being delta's husk, so that goes to show how much i know

with a similar level of certainty, ven is 100% dying today. quixis said themself what his future was. the end of his story was already written, and it wasn't retconned by quixis, just put on hold. combine that with cc!ven's recent tumblr posts? yeah, sorry wet bird nation, that twink ain't seeing tomorrow

something will happen to take icarus out of the equation by the end. either they die, or some multiversal shenanigans pull them out of the world, or, in an absolute best case scenario, they leave town to start life over elsewhere. i am also expecting a final conversation between violet and icarus because, if i'm being real, not paying off the main thing that's been motivating them this entire arc would just kind of be bad writing?

i think there'll be some sort of nod to a bit of momboo's consciousness still remaining in the world. like, she's gone but her love isn't type of thing. very bittersweeet.

i think there'll be some sort of rosemary-style post credits wedding. either ghaae's or jerry and kai's.

also expecting rae to ascend but like that's been so foreshadowed is it even a prediction at this point?

i legit have not clue what'll happen to ocie. god do i want her to see a long and happy life with her loved ones, but honestly from where we are now i can see it going either way.

a few characters i do think are going to see a happy ending: ari (come on please she's earned it), aax (though not without some losses of some kind) fenris, cas, easton and bruin, i think rae's will toe the line between bittersweet and happy?

so yeah. those are my thoughts. come back in roughly four hours to see how right i wasn't.

Guys, I think we're forgetting something VERY important when theorizing about who's dying next episode.

The forth episode is called "And Then There Were None". It's clearly a reference, but clearly it does NOT match the situation we have right now. There's still ONE survivor alive, but there should be none. Why would they make this reference otherwise?

They also mentioned this about her. She clearly seems very smart, and she might know important stuff- both from the fire and from Cheng Weimin- that is important enough for vein to have This reaction when she was mentioned.

Plus, she was VERY weird after being possessed by CXS. Something important might have happened to her, or she might have realized something- she was the first person to be "possessed" to EVER react like that.

Even though in context it seems like vein(?) was talking about her being very smart on analyzing people (and in the clip it seemed like she did that by analyzing body language), we could also take the "she can see a person's mind in just five minutes" literally. What if that's an actual power she has? Not only would that be much more dangerous, but LX and Vein would probably be interested on said power. Plus, she having an actual power would explain why she reacted so weirdly to CXS possessing her- his powers might have interfered with her power (or maybe even awakened it)

And if everyone can take other's powers for themselves as long as the other dies, I think we can all see why Ven and LX would be interested in her being either an ally or dead (and I doubt she'll be the first one). And we know from lu guang that it is indeed possible for someone to inherit another person's power even when they already have one (but even if it wasn't and even if actually the power the person originally had gets "overwritten" by the new one, I'm not sure if Vein has an actual power- and if he does, XF for sure doesn't, so he could safely inherit her power)

I think Wang Qing is the biggest threat to Vein and Liu xiao right now. Instead of somehow killing LG or CXS for searching something they shouldn't, it would make sense for them to kill WG even before she has the chance to tell them something compromising enough.

Plus, it doesn't seems likely that she'll appear in any other season- I mean, I don't think she was even revealed as a character before Bridon Arc was announced. All the other major characters that could die (Xia Fei and Vein, the ones who people think are the ones most likely to die) have been way more heavily promoted, and have way more "mysteries" regarding them that definetly could not be solved in a single episode. So I really don't think they'd die so soon, on such a short "spin off" instead of appearing on the main season.

And I know about the art from one of the people that works on Link Click, but while the "XF/Vein dies" theories make sense, would they really spoil such a major character death like this???

So yeah, I think WG is dying. Which is very unfortunate because she'll only appear in a single episode, but at least I think the others will have more screentime

“Your mother.” Mike somehow leveled his voice to tell this truth. “We locked Isabel in prison when you were little.”

“No te conozco.” Using his native language of Spanish and facing Isabel, Armando didn't know this woman at all.

Mike's confession meant nothing. Lowrey raised Armando for years and eased troubles on a regular basis. Even Miami stood as home.

On the other hand, Isabel emerged from darkness out of nowhere and conjured absolute devastation right now.

Even deployments couldn't prepare Armando for this tragedy.

Just before Armando could stand with Mike again, Isabel lifted this gun as flames crackled in the background.

“Ven conmigo o te mato, Armando.” If Armando wouldn't join Isabel, she would kill him.

“No.” Mike cut at last. The standoff began between all three individuals when Mike and Armando lifted their own weapons. “You're not taking him away from me.”

“Mijo…” Isabel tried once more until several others arrived, taking firearms away and grabbing Armando.

“What the hell?!” Mike shouted this time, pissed off beyond words.

“Don't touch me, get your fucking hands off. Mike, Mike!” His slightly accented barked over and over again while new strangers manhandled Armando.

“Armando! I'm right here, man.” Mike called his son through every flame while held back, yet strangers wouldn't leave.

This large vehicle then pulled up and more ghosts hopped out, taking Armando Aretas from Miami, Florida.

Isabel didn't even let Mike and Armando say farewell.

haha.. yES 🔥🔥🔥 "cicatrix" is the latin term for scar {: in this case, it's also a play on my main character's name, Venatrix. cicatrix is the title of her post-victory fic, following her hunger games win (True Vengeance - my huge 300k project that i finished last spring!) Ven's hunger games were particularly hard on her, so this story is kind of detailing the beginning of her healing process. (It's a long process for a huge wound). I've got 8 chapters up now; here's an excerpt from the ninth one, which is her 19th birthday party! Officially aged out of the reaping...

Iago flops onto the pavement, balancing the racketball between his eyes. “Good game, old farts. We let you have that last point, you know.” “We let you have all of them,” their father boasts. He flips his racket, but just misses the catch; it clatters embarrassingly loudly to the ground. “Ah—fuck.” “Boooo—” Venatrix raises a brow at her brother. “Wait, Iago, did you skip your last class today for this?”  “Uh—no…” Venatrix barely hides her snicker as Dagmara rounds on him; he’s never looked so betrayed. Hi 👋 , totally random ask here, I just want to talk about kiyoka for a minute with someone bc apparently few people read the novels . I recently finished reading vol 6 (Spoilers) , I know I'm late .

And I was stunned , I never expected kiyoka to leave the military, it was of course foreshadowed that he stayed bc of godos dad but it came as shock to me at the end . The thing is I can't really imagine him in any other career , and I'm looking forward to what direction he will choose . I guess not knowing that much about him is a good thing bc that means that the story will focus on his growth as well , at least I hope it does , and we will hopefully see what he is like as a person , bc until this point his character was interwoven with his cold and strict military persona , that obviously doesn't fit him. Whenever we got a glimpse of him outside his profession, something happened and he had to be the commander again . I just wanted your opinion, what career path do you think he will choose , something regarding his powers or something entirely new ? Sorry for my rumbling , have a nice day ❤️

Yeah, Kiyoka changing careers is something really hard for me to imagine, too. It never actually sunk into me that he was considering different career before the event about Godou's dad. I just feel like from the very beginning of the series, Kiyoka had always has this calling to be a military commander.

Everything about Kiyoka seem to stem from being a military commander. From his coldness and kindness, despite how contradictory those traits are, are both due to him being tasked with a duty to protect the citizens of Imperial City. The wanting to protect is due to his kindness and the coldness part is due to the nature of being in the military. So to me, the military officer is the career perfectly cut out for him. He's not the kind of person who brags about his supernatural ability but at the same time, because he knows he's the best person capable for the military commanding officer so he'll do it to make sure the job is well done, to prevent as much death as possible. He's so single-minded focus on this career that he'd skip lunch and stay overnight at his office and even rejected a marriage proposal from someone who could have been an alright fit for him because he didn't want any distractions to come to his work.

I think the reason for the change is because he met Miyo. Because he wants a future with her, he wants to fulfill his dreams that he had planned before he joined the military. Like being with Miyo encouraged him to be fully himself including pursuing what he truly desire as a dream job. I think because being in the military makes him a cold and callous person, and he doesn't like being that person, especially not when he's with Miyo, so he wants to distance himself from that cold and callous persona.

I don't know what career he was considering before he became a military officer. I agree with you and hope that the next volumes will focus on his growth as well since it has been focused on Miyo lately. She is the main protagonist and I've been imagining that the "My" part of My Happy Marriage is from her POV but it is Kiyoka's happy marriage as well. Even though he gives up his military career he will still be assigned missions to fight Grotesqueries since he's a gift-user so that "military" part of him will never really go away.

The only profession I can think of is him teaching other people how to use their gifts. Maybe a military trainer rather than an military commander. Even that's still hard for me to imagine. But Godou did mention that gifts are occurring less often in people nowadays as Grotesqueries show up less and less so maybe there won't be as much need for military trainers as much.

I guess we'll just have to see. Volume 7 comes out on August 20 so we won't have to wait that long.

Time is Batman AU - Time is a superhero named The Mask, and he manages to adopt/have a ton of kids named Link. It's based loosely off of Batman and I have the high hopes of writing a book per Link, and then some.

Part 3: Little Sundrop (Cupcakes for Harmony) - the Links bonding with Harmony as they travel through their Hyrules.

Book 1: Like Constellations (College Radio AU) - Hyrule starts college at Kakariko University and manages to meet 13 guys named Link (I've added Shadow, First, Spirit, and Age to this AU) and find himself in the process.

Reconnect the Chain (AU of the same name) - 10 years after LU, the Links manage to find a way to see each other again.

Relinked (AU of the same name) - 23 years after LU, the Links' kids are kidnapped, forcing them to travel together to find them. Meanwhile, the kids go on a journey of their own (Reconnect the Chain is a fluffy AU of this even though it's going to be done first lol, since Relinked is a comic)

Second Chain AU - another Chain is formed, including some other Links from across time.

The Adventures of Uncle Alfon - The story of Legend, his upbringing, his history, and his life told through his Uncle's eyes.

To Those Who Destiny Has Wronged (To Those Who Have Been Wronged Series) - A KH longfic featuring Kairi, Ven, Vanitas, Namine, Lauriam, and Ienzo as main characters as they try to get to the bottom of what Maleficent is up to and find what they're looking for along the way (the entire series is my take on the Master of Masters saga, this is book 1 of like, 8. I call it my behemoth of a fic series.)

current list of my main projects* with Quick Descriptions-

WishWIP- Currently my 'main' project, which really needs a proper name with how much focus I've given it by now, this is just the main character's name with WIP after it. Anyway I want to make this one into a comic because I apparently don't have enough to do already. The plot is currently going through scripting in a libreoffice doc . Also this is the second fall in a row where I have become suddenly interested in this project so that's. odd. Basic Quick Description- Wish is just trying to find Someone for perfectly innocent reasons when she runs into an evil magic eating Creature, Song, who is a Very Normal and Not Being Chased By Assassins At All Girl, and the plot, in rapid succession. 'hey what if we went to the Library and you were my bodyguard?' Song suggests. 'no reason for that last part really just Girlish Worries.' she says, normally and casually. Wish looks very suspiciously at her but agrees nonetheless. You can find stuff for this one in #wishwip. Main Cast**- Wish, Song, Lyric, Rhythm, also a whole bunch more people who only show up in the second arc and might kind of be spoilers IDK so they're not here.

Libraries- Probably my other main WIP! Born from me thinking intensely about libraries for no apparent reason. In case you couldn't guess, there are libraries in this project. Except they're called Libraries. Capital L. Also all of the Librarians (capital L) have magical abilities and are very badass. As well as being libraries, the Libraries double-function as how churches used to. I have a whole note doc of worldbuilding on the Libraries can you tell. You can find stuff for this one in #libraries. Basic Quick Description- Sori is a Librarian and quite content with her life as such. And then Firefly shows up, followed somewhat laggingly by the plot. This... has consequences! Anyway now Sori, Mikka, and Firefly are going on a quest oh my. The inciting incident happens surprisingly far into this book, so I have to be unfortunately vague about the plot as to avoid spoilers. Suffice it to say I like this one ;). Main Cast**- Sori, Mikka, Firefly, Tai and Nin, Ashe, Caro, another guy I've forgotten the name of and don't feel like looking up atm, and Renna.

fallenstars- Another more recent WIP of mine. I really like a lot of the worldbuilding and plot in this one, it's one of my more recent projects and I rotate the main four guys in my head pretty frequently with varying velocity. (Fun fact a fair amount of the main four for this WIP's characterization was born of me playing with the incorrect quotes generator, which should give you a pretty good idea of what they're like.) You can find stuff for this one in #fallenstars. Basic Quick Description- A long, long time ago, the stars fell from the heavens. A slightly less long time after that, Rekha and Ven found them. Or at leas they think they did. That's what the ~expedition~ is for! Featuring; most of the cast being a little (or a lot) unhinged, most of the cast being a little (or a lot) traumatized, and certain members of the cast being very badass. Also magic. (hard magic systems my beloved). Also names. Names are important. Main Cast**- Vivian, Arielle, Jai, Mirren, Rekha, Ven, Sapphire/Saph, Auburn, and various other people also.

sky pirates- *faux grumbling* I read ONE TWENTY PAGE PAMPHLET about pirates... Anyway yeah this one's pretty self explanatory. Sky pirates. That combined with another idea I've had for a year or two, where people hunt through dangerous ruins of skyscrapers for useful stuff to sell (that one never went anywhere because I had no plot) (now I have a plot) You can find stuff for this one in #sky pirates. Basic Quick Description- Lute (who is Completely Normal) and his crew are just going about their normal scrapper life and doing normal scrapper things (supposedly), when suddenly a girl runs away from the army and runs into them. (they help. they're polite like that. also they (for good reason) don't like the army). And then they discover she can manipulate the Mist. And then they discover a bunch of people want to steal her. And then she explains she needs to get to an old ruin for Magic Reasons. And now they're going on a quest. Main Cast**- I didn't remember naming anyone in this, but apparently the crew (Lute, Vanya, Blake, Robin, and Chess) all have names. Nobody else though. I should really get on that.

Mercy City- Was my main WIP for a while, I haven't worked on it for a longer while though. I still like it though. it's nice. I want to put Caden in a salad spinner desperately (smug little bastard) and I regularly make angsty head AMVs for Kiseki. Felice my beloved. You can find stuff for this one in #mercy city. Basic Quick Description- The world is made up of Resonance and we can manipulate that. Everyone is born with an affinity (can manipulate a certain bit of Resonance without needing to know the formula for it) except sometimes they aren't and even more sometimes they're born with Too Much Affinity. Too Much Affinity is bad because you blow up. Kiseki has so far avoided blowing up, and his sister Felice (who has No Affinity) would like to keep it that way. And then the plot happens. whoopsies. Main Cast**- Felice, Kiseki, Caden, Sophie, and a lot of other characters but I'm trying to keep it more to the main cast so probably just these four? idk. there's more guys tho.

mecha project- A project born of me smushing my appreciation for mechs, space, and academy settings into one place! I'm less 'actively working' on this one and more 'actively imagining it as a TV show'. We'll see if that ever happens to it! (probably not) (but you never know) You can find stuff for this one in #mecha project. Basic Quick Description- space. mechs. people go to mech academy. fights in space. bad guy wants to take over universe. different visually appealing species. the main character is part dragon. one of the antagonists wants to dissect him (For Science). this is partially inspired by my dislike of the voltron reboot thingie that i watched like six seasons of and then bailed on. also that one time i wrote out a whole rewrite concept for high guardian spice. anyway mechs in space. Main Cast**- there's people but none of them have names. yet. ahaha. did i mention the main character is part dragon.

The Golden City- The oldest project on this list! I recently discovered the plot to this thing is a lot longer than I'd previously thought, so right now all I'm doing with this WIP is rotating it at high speed in my head while trying to figure out what the next two thirds of the story is about. You can find stuff for this one in #the golden city or #tgc. Basic Quick Description- Felix is just going about his normal life and definitely not being a criminal, except oops, he's been arrested now, oh dear, and how he has to go on a quest to Not Be In Jail >:(. Also people are blackmailing him to essentially cause a civil war. He's doing his best, guys, be nice to him. Main Cast**- Felix, Helen, Shannon, Florian, Tay (Taylor), Bricriu, Nikolai, Nerium, Iris, Raz.

keyWIP- a concept that was born entirely of me thinking about keys for too long. I'm not really actively working on/thinking about this one at the moment, but I like the idea (and Melody) so I'm keeping it here in the event I get more interested in it. You can find stuff for this one in #keyWIP. Basic Quick Description- There are keys that can open any door to any other door and also shapeshift! Conor gets harassed by the Scholars' Council into inviting all the people who have keys to come tell the Council that because [SECRET PLOT POINT]. To the surprise of both Conor and some other people, this actually works somehow. Things proceed to escalate rapidly from that point. Main Cast**- Melody, Kit, Conor, Shalom, Hope, Adora, Varian, Jasmin [redacted] (so yeah this cast list is just all the people with keys (excluding Conor)).

In WIBE, one of the characters we meet is Yuichi Usagi, who works at the human ROTM. He also works in the original ROTM. He was robbed while on a trip to the Hidden City, and is originally from a different city entirely. Hueso is doing his best to help him out, but it'll likely be a long time before Yuichi gets to go home.

Some other WIBE background characters in WIBE include: MM!Kendra, MM!Robyn O'Neil, MM!Irma, & MM!Casey Jones. I don't have a lot to say abt Kendra and Irma, since it's been a long time since I wrote any of it down, but I can give it my best shot with Robyn and Casey.

Robyn has been diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety disorder for a few years pre-fic. She's in her first year of college which is out-of-state, and does her best to check up on her family via phone call at least every other week. She's also sort of invested in all of April's new drama, but she won't admit it.

Casey's been playing hockey for as long as he can remember, and intends to keep at it for as long as he's physically able. He's also got a knack for engineering, and I'd gamble that sometime not long after the ending of WIBE, he'd start up the Casey Jones vigilante batshittery. His parents are divorced, but he spends most of his time with his Jewish mother, and while he's never been actually taught much about his religion he accepts it as a part of his identity, and if people don't like that then they shouldn't be around him in the first place. He finds the existence of the turtles to be one of the coolest things ever, but after actually getting to know Raph and the others, it doesn't impress him as much as it used to. (If I had time, I'd add in a tiny crush on Raph, but I'm an aro with WAY too many ideas for this tiny fic)

Then there's experienced fighters, where the main thing is me ALWAYS knowing what song is playing in the background. I really love how much music is in MM, and I love being able to say hey! here's the musical vibes of the environment!

sort of on that topic, i've got a hc that any song with even small references to space are songs that rise, 2k12, and MM leo are more likely to enjoy. they don't realize these patterns, but they sure are there.

and to end off the music rant, one of these days i'm gonna make a playlist of songs that I think the rise crew all collectively agree are good enough (this is what space feels like, goodie bag, punk tactics, etc. etc.)

there's also two in one, which is based off an au by @blackfire-fanfiction. I have to be real cautious abt what I put in there, because a lot of people are looking at it instead of the extended context of the real thing, not to mention how many Thoughts that aren't really canon I have about it. For instance: today I had a good 30 minute daydreaming session abt the concept of rise!Donnie reading leonardo's notebook while he's comatose post-rise movie and finding out about the switching

in dimension desync, I poke a bit at my head canons about peni parker's movie universe and her mental health at home, and have expanded on this even further in an abandoned draft. this is going to be LONG, so here we go: Gwen Stacy and Richard Parker were around in Peni's universe before she herself was, each piloting a mech of their own [Ven#m and Sp//DR]. A few months after Peni's mother is pregnant with her, Richard dies in action, and a few months later, Ven#m sort of devours Gwen (go read the comics because it's really fucked up but idk how to describe it) So then the role of SP//DR is forcefully thrust upon Peni at the age of eleven, and her connection with SP//DR isn't exactly... perfect.

in my team blue universe, I'm fleshing the hell out of Sam-13 and Shadowcat (both from earth 65). Sam was created by corrupt parts of SHIELD (that have yet to have been identified as corrupt) but now is just a regular agent. Cap returned to their dimension when he was 14 and has been in charge of training him ever since. Cap is stubborn to a fault and is def being manipulated by the corrupt agents, but none of the kids have gotten close to that bigger picture yet. Meanwhile, Kitty was inducted into the weapon x program (or 65's equivalent of it, I don't remember much of the wolverine origin story) at the age of 8, and despite odds survived. Wolverine took her in, and she's been helping him bounty hunt since about 13, even though he's trying to stop her.

team blue is also starting to extend to universes that the spider-verse movies don't really deal with through plants that have yet to be explained. but miguel's spite at e-199999 has definitely transferred, which means that, if they were ever to interact, not many of the main team would like the mcu-vengers

in my very obscure mech-x4 series, Olivia (who is only referenced by name once in the show) is veracity's little sister, who is 7 years old. This series is more of a set of vaguely connected oneshots, but still.

i could go ON AND ON about Oliver in all of my mighty med/lab rats fics, but in short: arcturion made his hair start growing in blonde, which he hates. Horace is his adopted dad and so it sucks ass when he dies. Oliver also comes with built in hypothermia! This is also definitely a headcanon, but I think that in EF once the rats have the upgraded chips, Chase's laser bō is green instead of blue, and his super senses are togglerable (to a degree) I also like to imagine Kaz's lil bro Kyle is his number one fan and nobody in his family listens to him when he claims that Kaz is one of the bionic guys on the news.
