#I feel like giving up #like I cant get a job #noone will give me an interview just a 'your application was unsuccessful'#no explanation just someone else was better I guess #but I'm applying for apprenticeships #the jobs that are for people with no skills becasue they teach you to do it on the job #hell I even got rejected from doing housekeeping and being an admin assistant #an admin assistant not admin #god fucking damn does that sting #so yeah wanna give up #not gonna though because theres life to live but goddamn is this crushing #I barely wanna do art too #like I wanna but I feel like its not worth it #cos when I do make art the only attention I really get is from my wife #and like thats nice #but its really disheartening to spend a lot of time on something and not have anyone acknowledge it #so similar feelings there I guess #no ones looking at my art or my job applications #like if I got one of them sorted I'd be good #cos I'd have money from either a job or commissions #but I don't got either #so my self esteem is really low rn and I dont know what to do with myself #I'm just rambling at this point #I'll shut up now and let you enjoy your dashboard now

honestly i didn't do anywhere near as much experimentation as i wanted to at the start of the year? but i still find it insane that i managed to draw as much as i did.

i'm gonna be honest! drawing's become much more difficult for me as of late! it physically hurts now, even if all i've drawn is a couple of doodles. same goes for writing. my hands ache a lot more often and tbh i wouldn't be surprised if i got something like carpal tunnel or arthritis. no clue though!

i think my whole like. resolution for art next year will to just take it easy with things and do what i want. i don't really want to improve anymore, i wanna get myself in a comfortable spot where i'm happy about drawing and writing because, tbh, it does feel like a chore sometimes. my mental health has been through crazy ups and downs this year (then again when does it not?), and it's like. how do i put it. i want to be mentally healthy enough to draw as often as i used to. i need that joy back in my life

aaaand. well. my next uni semester's my last. and i doubt i'll have a job for a good while. so hey! maybe next late spring/summer will be a good time to recover! we'll see :3

I haven't really done much art for tumblr (at all) lately, cus life, but! Here's a lil something I've been working on (it's a Xmas gift) 💙

(also peep that lil January calendar painting 👀 i did mini squares for each month for myself, because I need to have a physical one always, and they each have their own colour 🥺)

#sometimes i forget i'm a painter lol #this is just the base so i'll still add some cool stuff (colours and some gold leaf details hehe)#usually my thing is more flat/less busy painting (with more mixed media) but i've been digging this vibe lately #my art account is completely wiped cus i private everything earlier this year (same with personal)#but i wanna start posting again. not just old stuff but actually *make* something new everyday #like a little challenge i suppose #since i'm not currently working in my field and have being going through a bit of a rough adjustment period about ✨things✨#(plus the whole depresh spiraling)#i barely have been making any art at all that isn't just sketches/silly stuff #i miss painting. i miss making murals and working on an actual project etc #now that *some * things have been settled AND i finally have my own space i feel a lot more keen on working on it #i know i hardly ever talk about that part of my private life cus i do wanna keep it somewhat separate from here #but i guess i'm in a good mood and kinda ready to admit some stuff #??? that didn't make sense #i'm feeling hopeful for next year and have a semblance of a plan. first art post of the new year!!! granted, i don't share my art here that much anyway, but– shhh.

hehehehhhooo,, here's something i've been working on for 'bout a month,, albeit not consecutively– took a few,, very very long breaks in between working on this,, but i managed to finish it in the end! am i satisfied with it? .......ehhhh? not completely, but if this took any longer, it might not have seen the light of day, so like. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

anyway,, made a little poster for my favorite fic, tommyinnit's services for villains, vigilantes, and various other vagabonds, by @scorpionoesit!!! it's really really good,,, and i've always wanted to make more art for it,, so i decided– poster! at least,, that's what it's mean to resemble,,, dkdmkdmdkd.

i will freely admit,, i'm... not the biggest fan of the fan-made logo i tried to design for it,, feels a bit boring, and could definitely have used a bit more pizazz, something to make feel more like the fic itself(what does that mean? you figure that out),,,, but– again, steam was running low,, dkdnksjs. graphic design is my passion. i do also have other complaints, but i'm afraid i already punched my one-use self-critique card,, oh well,,, dkdnkxjdkd.

regardless,, even with the flaws only i can really see,, this still turned out pretty okay!! hope you enjoy it, mx. scorpio and mx. alibi!!! and i hope everyone else has a wonderful new year!!!!
