You made a mistake @wingedkittyunknown when you asked me about my oc's. So here, just for you!
Tumblr media
((All of these are old art but eh. Something to look at)) Murazai was a student under a very strict, but talented, Swordmaster. She learned all his skills but also carries a lot of trauma from those days. Her early adulthood she spend wandering around, using her skills to settle fights and disputes, until she settled down to work for a very rich(evil) lady. She even trained her own students.
Eventually one of her students, Awri, rebels and really tells her what's what, making Murazai face the fact that yes, her teacher was ass and now she just keeps hurting people like he hurt her. Murazai had left her family behind when she became a student, she kept her lover at an arms length her whole life and she could not name a single person she'd call her friend. All thanks to her teacher. After this moment, she could really see the damage she had done to her students. Especially to Ira...
Long story short, during the events of the story, she decides to let go of her admiration of her late teacher, and joins Awri's quest.
Tumblr media
Auriga'Man'Lu is a jovial but very professional woman who has worked almost her whole life right under her kingdoms ruler. She met Murazai when she was traveling and learning about the wolf clans, and fell in love with the grumpy swordmaster instantly. They started a relationship that neither could really call a proper relationship, due to both of them being tied to their duties and Murazai being very awkward/distant. Auriga never gave up, tho. She did her job, even gave birth to two children while they were separated, but never stopped visiting/writing Murazai.
She promised that when they were both ready to retire, she would marry Murazai and force her to live a quiet, cookie cutter life with her and the kids. This promise keeps Murazai going
- Yeaaa. This is a story that I have the most world building/story/etc on. Thanks to my friend, tbh. It's also the reason why I have put it on a back-burner, I don't want to "ruin it" by "not having the know-who of how to make good comics".
Auriga is part of a race that have big burly women and small, magically gifted men. Men are born less often. Yes, that trope. Murazai is part of a nature loving, underground living race. She has never visited the "capital city" of her people nor wants to.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about my babiessss

Caleb's flower is hydrangea.
Not only a flower that changes colour in differing soil (Caleb is a chameleon or changes who is is depending on the person he's talking to or where he is?)
But the meanings are;
One sided/obsessive love, heartlessness, frigidity/coldness, apology, family and gratitude.

Please, someone stop me from listening to Josh Groban, because otherwise I will end up DRAWING ANOTHER "MOTTIE AT BED" ARTWORK.
Like seriously, I cannot.
When I hear him sing "You have no idea" all I can hear is Mathias singing to Dorothea AND MY HEART CANNOT TAKE IT.
IT'S EXPLODING WITH SOFT TENDERNESS.
Tumblr media
(and I have become the joke of my own household, because my husband, loving Josh as much as I do, now DOES IT ON PURPOSE OF PUTTING HIM ON OUR SPEAKERS, especially when he sees that I am busy working on something not Mottie-related. He knows how my brain works. HE KNOWS IT. So if sometimes you see me derailing, IT'S MR. NEMO'S FAULT AS WELL).

I know it's well-understood at this point that Kirk/Spock is much more of a nerd4nerd ship than a nerd/jock thing, but it's just been kind of percolating around my mind that both of them aren't just space nerds but space nerds who were personally bullied.
Like, 18-year-old Kirk was targeted by an older bully who combines "total asshole" with "the most grating man in existence":
MCCOY: Well, yeah, I'm beginning to feel a little bit picked-on, if that's what you mean. KIRK: I know the feeling very well. I had it at the Academy. An upperclassman there. One practical joke after another, and always on me. My own personal devil. A guy by the name of Finnegan. MCCOY: And you being the very serious young— KIRK: Serious? I'll make a confession, Bones. I was absolutely grim, which delighted Finnegan no end.
This was five years after Kirk survived a genocide, btw, and likely well before his stint as an Academy instructor known to be strict and demanding (which is the period the "stack of books with legs" description of him comes from). By the time he's 33, fifteen years after all this, it turns out one of his deepest fantasies is just beating the shit out of his bully, but only if he can do it According To The Rules (the replica of Finnegan sneers, "Always fight fair, don't you? True officer and gentleman, you").
Spock, meanwhile, is viciously targeted by his Vulcan peers for being biracial from at least age 5; he's described as being tormented by other boys by that age, and "at home nowhere except Starfleet." I think he'd have been 18 or 19 when he left for Starfleet and it's... the least bad of his options, but he seems to have spent his entire career among humans and being persistently subjected to raw racism and profound disrespect for his culture at every turn.
Like, their histories of being metaphorically shoved into lockers are not identical or anything, but I think it's interesting that they both have them.
#i feel like kirk and mccoy are generally seen as more temperamentally aligned despite kirk being emotionally closer to spock#spock representing cold logic and kirk and mccoy as the passionate emotional ones#but i feel like a) spock is wildly emotional just repressed. and coolly utilitarian in philosophy. and usually undemonstrative.#b) mccoy is highly intelligent and sometimes VERY much the voice of reason#(not typically cool rationality but certainly reason - he puts together clues that the others don't see on multiple occasions#he's not as easily derailed by obscuring details or over-cerebral analysis paralysis as the other two imo)#c) but mccoy sometimes struggles with the really big emotional shit and spock is more on kirk's emotional wavelength there#(this is especially obvious in conscience of the king and turnabout intruder but not only there - in both mccoy resists seeing#the full horror of the violations of the most basic rights that kirk has endured while spock is much more sensitive to those things)#and d) kirk is emotionally expressive but typically more cautious and measured in judgment than either of the others#more likely to formulate positions in terms of philosophical principles than mccoy's kneejerk sense of decency#(which sometimes is exactly what's needed and sometimes disastrously lacking in rigor and reflection)#or spock's often brutally utilitarian focus on outcomes that runs roughshod over... like. everyone.#that's why kirk is the mediator; he's not at the exact midpoint in every dispute#but broadly his personality and strengths/weaknesses fall pretty evenly between spock and mccoy#(interestingly i think this is especially noticeable with kirk's infamous seductions - which are rarely motivated by simple desire#they combine the focused perception and expressiveness of mccoy and the brutally self-denying calculations of spock#when sylvia exclaims that he seems warm and passionate but his mind is cold it's like... yeah. softly lit femme fatale james t kirk#it's like the unholy side of kirk's overall approach borrowing pretty equally from both mccoy and spock)#ANYWAY the point is that i don't think kirk is actually more similar to mccoy than he is to spock#and in particular his tendency to repress the horrors and focus on useful concrete action are very akin to spock#long post#anghraine babbles#star peace#otp: the premise#c: who do i need to be#c: i object to intellect without discipline#star trek: the original series#anghraine's meta

I still don't know exactly how it would work but Shadowheart/Durge/Astarion still calls to me, and one of their dynamics is going to be Astarion fighting the urge to bash their heads together until sense gets through.
The other spawn are on a 'Cazador needs us,' 'He hurts us to make us better,' kind of cope. Astarion is Not, and if you play as Lae'zel and remain loyal to Vlaakith he calls it 'falling in love with your chains' (and it's 'painful to watch.')
And then there's Shadowheart desperately insisting Shar loves her and hurts her to make her stronger. We - potentially -seem have finally gotten over that! Just yesterday! And then Act 3 rolls around and now the Dark Urge is potentially on the 'Daddy loves me!' kick.
That or you have a Bhaalist and Sharran zealot knocking heads and a vampire spawn with a migraine whose secondary concern to gaining power and keeping himself safe is using that power to keep his lover/s safe and willing to stay with him ('this world made Cazador so is clearly inherently dangerous and evil', and he does think he has nothing to offer after all.) Which later potentially translates (or is admitted as) to 'I'd like to lock you in a room somewhere, but alas.' Shame they're so brainwashed. And that's assuming we haven't got Ascended Astarion and his blind belief that he's untouchable. Yeah, sell your soul to your evil deities. More power for us/me! This totally won't affect him negatively.
Both the potential for healing and the potential for dysfunction is so delightful.

I was doing yearly phone backup on pc and found out I have 5 THOUSANDS of screenshots (almost 5300 actually...) from Love Island The Game 🤡 90% of them are from Season 2, and most are from Lucas playthroughs with a few from Henrik, Bobby and Noah. Early days I think I did 4 playthroughs consecutively and realised welp, I'm obsessed and from then on my LITG era started LOL
Unfortunately I stopped taking screenshots regularly after that because I realised this game won't be going anywhere and I can just play it anytime I want 😂 WHAT A TIME HUH
I guess this post is the start of my LITG S2 archive for old players like me (pacifically Lucas girlies) who are mourning missing the old game/app. This game has a special place in my heart as it helped me through early lockdown. I'm sure many of you can relate 🥲 IT IS MISSING SEASON 2 HOURS 😭😭
so I'm going to start this with my most favourite Lucas scene. You get this scene on no-sex route, and iirc it was after final recoupling.

just saw a post by goobiestar where tigerclaw has been put on babysitting duty and they doodled him surrounded by tiny babies thinking "i cant believe bluestar is making me babysit a bunch of drooling pathetic whiny pieces of--" and with bonefall tigerstar being a genuinely good dad (at least when his babies were tiny) i have this image in my head of firepaw imagining this is what's happening and then it cuts to tigerclaw calmly playing teeterstrike with the babies
I'm telling a super different story from the other guys in my orbit LMAO, I've noticed that also. A lot of my.... fellow satellites? Companion Comets. Peripheral Planets. Lean into the comedy angle of Tigerclaw being a nasty little boy
I especially love that one comic (I think it's Blimbo?) Where he sees his younger sibs and just starts kitty-smacking them like a real cat lmao. Top tier. If the punchline is "KITTY SMACK" you'll kill me every time.
But yah BB!Tigerclaw is really important to understand as like... a guy. Just a shitty guy, has some good things about him, but ultimately the darkness within him is run-of-the-mill. He isn't special. Firestar comes to understand that any one of the dozens of assholes in his life could have become Tigerstar-- and that's TERRIFYING.
Evil is mundane and common. Goodness is complicated and unique.
So your image is spot on lmao. Young Fireheart watching him from across camp like, "ill PROVE his evil to bluestar. Look at him now. What is he doing with swiftkit. Something horrible im sure. He probably hates kittens"
And Tigerclaw is pressing his mouth to Swiftkit's baby belly and going PTHHHBBBBB.

It's well past midnight but I felt like doing another piece of the femslash Spirk AU for WIP Wednesday (surprising no one) and what came out was ... T'Pring POV? This is, of course, set in the direct aftermath of S'paak's pon farr (as sketched out here, but the AU version of "Amok Time"):
As a girl, T’Pring had harbored an irrational, and thus regrettable, envy of t’sai S’paak. She had resented S’paak’s status as the daughter of Sarek and her superior performance on certain mathematical examinations given in childhood, when S’paak was but half a Vulcan. In a little time, of course, T’Pring overcame such childish emotions, and thirty years later, saw S’paak only as an obstacle to her own desires. The death of the Starfleet captain sufficed well enough for her plans—indeed, she had considered this the most likely eventuality. The body of the captain and the doctor were transported to the ship, and S’paak, clearly rational once more, walked over to speak to T’Pau and Stonn—mainly T’Pau. T’Pring could not hear from where she stood, but Stonn did not communicate any failures of their plan to her. Before she could think further on any of it, S’paak strode directly over to T’Pring herself, perhaps due to information received from Stonn or T’Pau, or perhaps no more than her own deductions. It would not take great acuity of observation to recognize T’Pring’s hand in the proceedings, after all: certainly less than S’paak had always possessed. T’Pring was not afraid. She lifted her head and met S’paak’s eyes, both of them smooth-faced and unflinching. Whatever human qualities S’paak might have inherited from her mother were nowhere in evidence. “T’Pring,” said S’paak, “I am wondering why you sought my death, or that of my captain.”
Her voice was appropriately unwavering.
“Stonn wanted me,” T’Pring replied, “and I wanted him.”
S’paak considered her in much the fashion that T’Pring had, long ago, seen her consider unexpected behaviors from a rare insect. “I see no logic in this.”
That did not surprise T’Pring. There was a logic to desire, but few understood it, and from all she had seen of Sarek’s daughter over the years, she suspected that S’paak understood it less than most.
“You have become much known among our people, S’paak—almost a legend,” T’Pring said calmly. “Stonn had come to know that he did not wish to be consort to a legend, and I desired him as mine. You have conducted yourself such that he had no basis for divorce except the kal-if-fee.”
S’paak studied her with little change, except that she locked her hands behind her back in the usual fashion of Starfleet officers. Despite the impracticalities of dress imposed on the women of Starfleet, and despite S’paak’s specialization in the sciences, T’Pring found her demeanor distinctly martial. She was not certain if this should be considered a failure on S’paak’s part, or further proof of success.
“Stonn is your inferior in reason, forethought, and most areas of expertise,” S’paak remarked. “It is clear to me that this endeavor must have been planned by you, rather than him, but not why you would bear so much inconvenience for nothing more than him.”
T’Pring was not susceptible to flattery, but she did not object to the respect she was due. She inclined her head.
“Yes, it was I who told him what he must do,” she said. “I do not desire him for his skill at logic, though it is adequate. I find his face and form pleasing. He accommodates my preferences in the ways I wish, rather than the ways that others wish for me. Also, freed from his betrothal to you, his property and name would be his to give once more, and they are suitable to my standing among our people. I found these reasons persuasive, and the proximity of your and his pon farr made the best approach obvious to me.”
“Is that so?” said S’paak, looking down at T’Pring with no further movement than the necessary motions for speech and observation. Her face looked paler than usual, but the light had shifted enough that this could be no more than a subjective impression.
T’Pring nodded. “I judged that if your captain had been the victor,” she explained, “she would not want Stonn nor make an acceptable match for him. He would be free, and so I would have him. If you were the victor, you would free him over the insult of the challenge and such a choice of champion, and again, I would have Stonn. Even if you had not freed him, all evidence indicated that you would be gone in your Federation vessel as soon as your pon farr had passed, and remain absent for another seven years, while Stonn would be here.”
She did not think she needed to elaborate further, though S’paak’s pause was just long enough that T’Pring considered the possibility of misjudgment.
“Logical,” said S’paak. “Flawlessly logical.”
“I am honored,” T’Pring said, and meant it.
S’paak glanced over at Stonn, who still spoke with T’Pau, the very slight rise and fall of his words decorous enough, if not equal to the self-command of T’Pau or T’Pring, or S’paak. She did not seem impressed, but then, she did not seem anything.
“We should join T’Pau,” S’paak told her, “in order to finalize these desired arrangements. I am, for a time, commanding officer of the Enterprise, and must depart soon.”
T’Pring assented, and followed S’paak’s longer stride across the rock and sand to where T’Pau sat in state. Stonn glanced quickly at them both, not visibly anxious, but betraying himself nevertheless. The law of Surak, however, made allowances for extraordinary situations, so T’Pring did not disapprove greatly. She made the customary courtesies to T’Pau and waited for the fruition of her plans.
“Stonn, you are free,” said S’paak. She turned to T’Pring. “He is not your equal, but he is yours. After a time, however, you may find that having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical, but it is often true.” Before T’Pring, or anyone, could reply, S’paak flipped open her communicator and said more briskly, “S’paak here. Stand by to beam up.”
T’Pring did not wish to show relief, least of all before S’paak was gone. She waited, and Stonn, less patient but more pliant, waited with her.
S’paak turned towards T’Pau and she held up her hand.
“Live long, T’Pau, and prosper,” she said.
T’Pau returned the ta’al, steady despite her age. “Live long and prosper, S’paak.”
Without warning, S’paak’s hand dropped to her side. She shook her head.
“I shall do neither,” said S’paak. Her voice did not waver, but the angular planes of her face were harder than T’Pring had ever noticed before. “I have killed my captain and my friend. Energize.”
With that, she was gone.

I feel like SV girlies haven't seriously considered "codependent mutually obsessive JuliNemo" yet and that's a shame, really. I've seen a lot of wholesome ChampionRank (really cute but a rehash of every wholesome yuri I've ever seen, not much original content here and that's okay) and one-sided obsessive yandere!Nemona ChampionRank (REALLY do not like the villainization of Nemona's neurodivergence but eh, you can do whatever you want forever) but not as much "these two get on like a house on fire. and boy, it's dry season" ChampionRank.
Where is "battle-hungry socially starved trainwrecks who have no one but each other" JuliNemo. Where is "oh god these two exacerbate each others issues into the stratosphere and this can only end in disaster but I can't look away" JuliNemo. Where is "bringing out the worst in each other and scaring the hoes" JuliNemo. Where is "you two are perfect for each other. Never change, just never involve anyone else in any of this" JuliNemo. There's so much potential here. Toxic codependent yuri save me
#pokémon#pokemon sv#championrankshipping#julinemo#babbles#my juliana is such a mess#she does not make friends easily and can't keep relationships for long at all#whenever someone enters her life she aants to make the best impression so she lovebombs them incessantly#and that either comes across as too much too fast or causes people to get too attached.#but she's young. she is very young. and the people who bothered to match her energy had ulterior motives#so now she's too afraid of getting too close to someone#she'll act the part but never show her true self#and at the slightest hint of genuine connection she'll RUN.#this of course clashes horribly with Nemona's own overbearing personality and loneliness#you know how she wants you to be her ideal rival. and you end up becoming exactly that.#yeah to my Juliana this was kind of a nightmare because. as much as this toed her boundaries#she isn't so inept as to not recognize a bit of herself in Nemona. so she decided to ride this out and appease her#and UH OH! she got attached. fear and need for control and validation from feeling wanted mixed in her head#and she started matching Nemona's energy and the two jumped into dating too fast and oops. they're codependent now#they literally can't handle being away from each other for more than two days or they start going feral#i wish i had the energy to write this one because i'm fascinated by this horrible dynamic. i want to study them in a rat maze#edit: i feel like i should clarify that this interpretation relies on Florian existing and being the one to help Penny and Arven#Florian isn't without his issues. he's a huge people pleaser too. but he's more of a doormat who can't say no

Cole is the best party member because depending on who you put him in the party with he'll change the entire mood of your setting.
For example Varric/Cole is going through an adoption plotline.
Meanwhile Blackwall/Cole is mostly about putting Blackwall into a psychological horror one.
