i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

I love that Elizabeth and Darcy are so ready to effectively tell each other they're full of shit. This happens a bunch of times, but I was re-reading their conversation at the Netherfield Ball and they're both kind of refreshingly Done.

I have a question for everyone. Does anyone else just find the human face inherently pretty? Like, I have never met someone that I thought was ugly. I've met some people who were more or less conventionally attractive or had a more or less immediately pleasing face than others, but I've never met someone that I wouldn't describe as pretty. IDK guys, I just think humanity and human faces in all their variation and entirety are really really nice to look at. Is this just me? Anyone else feel this? Does me being aroace have anything to do with this? Seriously, I've never met another person in any capacity who just thought that all human faces were inherently pretty. I need to know if this is just a me thing or not!

Y'know I will probably regret this post when it's no longer nearly 4am but it's mildly infuriating to see people calling for others to delete their nano accounts and boycott nano over this AI shit when it's just a drop in the bucket compared to the bullshit they've pulled previous years. Were you also telling people to delete their accounts and boycott when there was so much racism among the forum mods and next to nothing was done about it? Were you telling people to delete their accounts and boycott when there was all that trouble last year with the security of the forums and, again, racist mods?

People of color have been having trouble with nano for YEARS and I have never seen this much outrage. I myself was called a reverse racist by a forum mod and threatened to have my account terminated if I didn't stop defending myself. Like I'm sorry but it's a little frustrating that nano having a generative AI sponsor and wording something poorly in a blog post is what gets y'all's attention.

i think dinostar is such an interesting ship right now even if i've kind of turned away from it after this season. the problem is that it's complicated, and fandoms historically don't like nuanced situations or takes. i don't think it's fair to say darius is putting brooklynn on a pedestal, since from his perspective, she hasn't done anything wrong, and kenji has been framed as this unfair partner to her. it does feel like his feelings are very immature and more of an infatuation right now ("if he loved you half as much.."/"unless?"), especially when you compare them to kenji's own feelings for brooklynn - his girlfriend who he's loved for 6 years - but that isn't a horrible thing, it's just different. i do completely understand if people dislike the ship right now, and even criticize darius' way of handling the accidental confession, but i just think people have been way too harsh on all three of them without being willing to see that all of their perspectives are different
