Why do I hate it when people call my family colonizers
Well you see on my mom’s side some of them were Irish slaves and/refugees and for sure 1 of them didn’t immigrate until 1960 and he was Swedish and Norwegian
And on my dad’s side it was 1910-1930 they were immigrating over and they Scottish
We didn’t colonize shit. We were white minorities escaping oppressive white peoples (British) and bad circumstances just like the rest of the people that weren’t colonizers
The only ones that could even make me consider a colonizer are the so many greats grandfather who married their Irish slaves and had kids with them but black people who’s so many greats grandfather were white slave owners aren’t considered colonizers
Sure my ancestors were able to pass as white enough to not get hate-crimed but they had to abandon everything. Family, culture, religion, even specific types of clothing which people now appropriate, like y’all we aren’t that different my family also has years of trauma and abuse from this shit my skin is just white instead
#rant#you guys gotta realize you are being racist by doing this#literally the only differences between me and my black classmate#is hair#skin#she studies makeup and I study clothes#and my ancestors married out#we are both even the eldest sister#but she feels like she can treat me like I personally did the horrible shit my ancestors didn’t even do because of my skin color#I am being discriminated against for my skin color#that’s racism#just because it happened to you first doesn’t mean you get to do it to other people#it just worsens the cycle

Imagine a like avenger!Bucky x shape shifter! Reader.
It could be enemies to lovers smut too because why not?
The reader is the beast boy but a girl version...you can make them green
I don't see skin color 🙄(I'm joking,I'm black)
What if you make the reader green it could be like Bucky's in his room and he hears crying so he follows the sound to find y/n crying because she messed up on a mission and some agents said mean things idk and he is trying to comfort her and then they kiss and then more idk
Then, if she isn't green it could be .....sex pollen...she gets hit with sex pollen while on a mission and comes back...well you know worked up? She's in pain and even those Bucky "hates her" he also wants to help her so he..how do I say this.. he fucks her brains out.
I'm Not Like Her
Y/N had her heart broken when some agents made fun of how her body look and Bucky came in clutch with the rescue.
Note: I'm not even open for asks but your brilliant mind just spark something in me! Plus, i see you a lot in my comments so here you are... and the pic is hilarious btw 🤣
Pairing: avenger!bucky x shape shifter!reader
Words: 1.5k++
Warnings: mild enemies to lovers, hint fat shaming, angst, bucky likes to tease the reader but not too much, fluff, cause he secretly loves her, allusion to smut??? and sam just being himself.
Idea explanation: personally i don't think i'm qualified enough to write about being discriminate against for skin color. I need more research of it.
BUT, physically, i am on the curvy side. I don't have a flat stomach, my thighs are bigger than they supposed to. cause i'm fucking 4'11 (so i look fat for my height). And i know what it feels like when people comment abt that.
Soooooo instead of turning green, imagine that the reader doesn't have the fit and perfect model-like body like other agents. Her powers? She can shape shift into any living being (person/animals/aliens) for a short amount of time, like 3-7mins.
Bucky Barnes is a bully. He'd do anything to annoy the shit out of Y/N. Everything he does just ticked her off, you name it; hair pulling, cheeks pinching, mean little jokes about how Y/N would suffocate him to death if she ever sit on him.
Bucky Barnes acts exactly like a mean teenage boy who bullies the person he likes. But she doesn't know that, does she?
What she knew was he is a menace that loves to see her bright red, in embrassment and anger. What she knew was he likes to dig into her skin and ripped her heart out from how vexingly mean he is with her.
But, he was never cruel. No. He is the sweetest a man can be when he wants to. She still remembered those days he would drop off bunch of her favorite snacks and sweets during that week she was hospitalized from a rough mission.
Don't get her wrong though, he still teases her A LOT during those visits but it was sweet of him to come by and cheer her up.
But if he wasn't cruel. Then, why was she on the verge of tears?
Y/N stood alone in the kitchen, her hands strongly gripped onto the edges of the counter like she would shatter it with her bare hands. At time like this, she wished nothing more than just to shift into a bird and fly away.
Just so far away that no will able to catch her.
But those agents certainly did shot a bullet through the thickness of her gut when they said those words.
Y/N was just going to grab a cold drink after her sparring with Bucky, when she heard their vile whispers. She stopped at her tracks and hid behind the wall the moment she heard her name was mentioned.
"I don't understand why we keep her around. Did you see her panting for air from a quick sparring with Barnes? And doesn't she sound like a pig?" He sneered.
"We keep y/n around cause she has powers you, dumbass. Why are you being mean anyway, didn't you guys had a thing like 2 weeks ago?" The other voice said.
"It was a prank. Didn't think she'd believe it. Me dating her? Please. Not in any universe." He trailed, "Though if she shift into Natasha, then maybe I'll consider fucking her." Y/N could hear his smirk even from the block of the walls.
The other man laughed as if it was funny, "But it only lasts so long though? What if she turn back into herself when you have your cock inside her?"
The man gagged and said, "Ewww please stop. That's just fucking disgusting."
And when they left the kitchen, Y/N aimlessly went to the area. What was she gonna do just now? Oh, get some cold water. But why won't her hands move? They've been digging into the hard surface of the counter for how long now? If she goes any harder, her fingers would bleed. And why's her vision was blurry? Why there's wetness on her cheeks?
She didn't even notice that she was crying, beause she was so focused on fixing her own broken heart. And even if her pride was left to almost nothing, but she held on. She chose hold on to it for as long as could. Cause deep down she knew they were right.
No one's gonna love her for who she is, they will always be blinded by the flaw of her body and not see the pure of her heart. And if that is the ugly truth she had to face, then she chose to love herself. To be proud of herself.
But it is so hard does it? How can you love yourself when no one else is willing to love you?
"Doll?" Bucky's voice was soft when he called her that she didn't even heard him the first time around.
When Bucky heard sounds of someone sniffling, he knew that someone was crying. So he followed the hiccups of voice to the kitchen. But he didn't expect the culprit would be Y/N.
He almost rushed to her when she continued to sob, "Hey hey hey, what's wrong sweets? Did you hurt yourself?" He briefly cupped the softness of her cheeks before slightly holding up her hands to see if there's any cut from it.
When he noticed that there weren't any physical injuries, the tense of his muscles relaxed just a little bit. His big hands went to reach her face again, and gently wiped her tears away. He was so tender with his hold but his tone was far from it, "Who did this to you?"
And she told him exactly what happened. Even with hiccups in between her ranting breath. He listened. He listened to every single word she had to say, not cutting into her confession, not even once. And Y/N didn't know why she told him that. He supposed to be the last person she complained to about her look, about her weakness, about her flaws.
Bucky Barnes, the same one that loves to tease her about it all. He wasn't supposed to hear the dooms of her heart. But, he was. He was listening to her.
And he was seeing red.
Bucky had never felt rage this powerful in his life, he swore that if he let it consume him, the tower would be painted with blood. But, he held back. For her.
Because she needed someone to be there for her. And Bucky felt he was the luckiest to be that person.
"I'm not like her." She whispered tiredly. "I'm not like her, Bucky. I'm not attractive like Natasha or pretty like Zendaya or even Steve at that matter, like he has such tiny waist for his built, and he's a fucking man!!" She ranted every minor things that bothered her to him.
Bucky thought of his words for a while and simply said, "Yes, you're not like Natasha, or Zendaya, or Steve..." he chuckled at the end, "...But that's the best bits about you, doll." There was this flare in his eyes that Y/N couldn't wrap her finger around it.
"Are you making fun of me, right now?" She glared in between the tears in her eyes.
"No, I'm only telling you the truth." Bucky tucked her hair as he continued, "So what if you're not like her? There will always be someone that will see you more that just a piece of meat to fuck."
"Well, then I won't have that someone then."
"Oh, but I know one person though." Bucky grinned, "Me."
Y/N was rendered speechless when he confessed his true feelings.
"Doll, have you ever wonder why I love pinching your cheeks so much?" His fingers started to trail across her cheeks and his stare lingered in her eyes as his naughty hands find their way to her hips.
"It's because I was desperately trying to avoid grabbing these soft, thick thighs of yours." his eyes darkened the moment that he said, "And oh baby the things I'd do for you just to slide my cock between them."
It was like she was hypnotized by the way his hardened bulge grinding against her tummy. It felt good and his lust-filled gaze was doing nothing but making her wet, "Bucky..." she whispered.
Bucky lips was so gentle on her eyelids and her temple, until his teeth grazed along her neck and his groaning call reached her ears, "And do you know why I was pissed when we were sparring just now?" Asked before quickly clarifying, "It's not because I lost to you."
He grinded a particularly hard thrust against her that he accidentally moan in pleasure, "Oh babydoll, no. It's because I have this absolutely gorgeous girl on top of me, and her slutty body was just so close to me that I got so fucking hard. "
Bucky lifted her face towards his to watch how she was melted in his touch, "I was so pissed, because I can't fuck you the way I want to." His lips was so close, hovering over her own as he confessed.
But suddenly they felt a splash of water hitting side of their face, "Woah woah woah. Down, boy. Bad bucky. Bad!" Sam yelled. Imagine his surprise when he got into the kitchen to see Bucky literally humping on Y/N like a dog in heat.
They didn't even notice him approaching them with a glass of water in his hand.
Though Y/N was absolutely red in embrassement, but surely Bucky doesn't give a fuck. He didn't even acknowledge Sam's pleas to stop, especially when he crashed his lips on hers.
Y/N moaned lewdly as he effortlessly lifted her on the kitchen isle, feeling his clothed cock rubbing against her needy cunt. At that point, who cares if anyone's watching. She wanted him so bad. As bad as he wanted ruin her.
Sam scrambled backwards when Bucky started to unzip his pants, "Shit he's going feral." He dramatically ran across the halls leading to the kitchen as he announced, "Okay people, out. Get out. No one is allowed to the kitchen unless you want to be in debt cause I am not paying for your therapy."
Safe to say the kitchen was a fucking mess when Bucky was done with her and the cleaning crew was traumatized by the amount of wetness and cum they had to clean around the area.
End.

I saw a video on Tik Tok about how Trump and JD Vance’s fear mongering about Haitian immigrants is likely to trigger an uptick of hatred and violence towards Black Americans in general, and man did that break my fucking heart. I’m white personally, but goddamn I am sick of this. I remember the 2000s, I remember how the “war on terror” turned into anyone who even just looked vaguely Middle Eastern or belonged to a religion that uses head coverings being treated like dangerous criminals. I remember the “border crisis” turning into an open invitation to discriminate against anyone of Latino/Hispanic descent. I remember how the pandemic turned into a wave of violence against Asian Americans. I don’t want to do this again. I don’t want to sit around listening to bigots talk about my fellow humans like they’re some sort of dangerous animals. I don’t want to open my news app to stories of innocent people being hurt and killed for no valid reason.
I don’t give a fuck what your skin color is, or what country you/your ancestors came from. If you can’t see how disgusting this is, how absolutely despicable it is to act this way towards your fellow man, I don’t know what to say.

230 words, wow, I wish I could write academic essays like this.
Gotham is one of the most crime ridden cities of the DC multiverse, unfortunately these crimes may include hate crimes.
I’m privileged enough to live in an area with the least (reported)crime rate of the state/country, however racism is still extremely prevalent (and also other crimes I will not name since it’s an unrelated and also a heavy topic) and it’s affected me a lot.
I am also very normal about Duke Thomas.
Do you think that in a sleepover/slumber party at night the batfamily (esp poc I guess??) just share their experience with racism? I’m not from the US so I’m not well versed in societal values there
Also, I understand that some people may perceive Grayson as White, but him being Roma would be interesting (in a good and bad way) since the Romani peoples are still greatly discriminated against around the globe, even casually. I’m aware of the Devin Grayson situation, I think it would be great for there to be a respectful redo of Romani representation in media.
Please yap back to me I am your #1 fan.
Also, I put this question in paragraphs, does it make this easier to read?
I wrote and sent this after 11pm so if you offended by anything I say here, there’s your reason. Please tell me why you found this off-putting so I can improve.
I do think that they would talk about racist shit that happens to them
And homophobic and ableist stuff
I think it would be like casual conversation?
They wouldn't feel awkward or afraid to talk about it to eachother because it has def happend to majority of the bats
Hate crimes have def happened to all the waynes because of their status and skin color for soke of them
Some of the more rich folk talk about Bruce badly only because of the children that he has adopted
Some would even hate on him for 'mixing his bloodline'
Bruce being the white guy he is maybe when he first got grayson him explaing racism to him would've been very awkward and infuriating because "who tf would say that to a child? MY child?" And I don't think alot if racism or deep shit would happen at the circus
But after having multiple poc children and hearing them talk about shit that they go through with the people in Gotham (mostly richer people or just a lowlife that takes their anger out on other people) and receiving backlash for choosing to adopt those kids
It would become normal for Bruce to comfort his kids and explain racism and why it's happening to the

Am I not good enough to compete? Am I being hired because I'm Black and fulfill some quota, or do I stand out from the crowd because of my competency?
These are the questions Black people like me are forced to consider in this new corporate environment that overtly wants to elevate people based on the complexion of their skin.
It's a policy philosophy that creates doubt not only within the minds of the minorities who are trying to navigate successfully in corporate America, but their colleagues as well who aren't sure if the person standing beside them is there for the same reasons as them.
I understand the motivation for wanting to help people that some feel are disadvantaged by ensuring a fairer environment for everyone, no matter their ethnicity, sex, or sexuality. But the problem with DEI is that in practice, it is inconsistent with the message that discrimination is bad because it engages in discriminating against some to elevate others. And in so doing, they aren't setting an equal playing field for all but skewing the field to create an ideologically satisfying outcome. And no one likes it when there are favorites in a competitive market, including the people who didn't ask to be anointed.
As a Black man who has worked in the IT field for well over a decade, I never once questioned why I was being hired for a position prior to the popularization of DEI. There was a solid chemistry in the room during the interviews that resulted in job offers. But after the death of George Floyd, I routinely began to wonder if the job I was hired for was given to me out of some kind of racial motivation instead of thanks to my capabilities as a professional. And for a moment, I questioned if the other Black men in my work environment were also beneficiaries of a diversity agenda.
Yes—I, a Black man, fell into that trap progressives like to pretend is racism and wondered if my Black coworkers were diversity hires. And I am not the only one.
Over time, of course, I realized that like me, the other Black men I work with are highly capable, intelligent, and competent, and it would be unfair for me to presume any of us didn't deserve to be standing where we were. But this is one of the many fundamental problems with DEI: It creates paranoia even among the people who theoretically benefit the most from it.
I know that DEI is not about equality because equal hiring practices and treatment in the workplace are already part of the law, and there would be ramifications for violating them. As a matter of fact, DEI praxis actually violates the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) regulations, which stipulate that "your employer cannot make job decisions because of your race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity) national origin, disability, or genetic information."
DEI does not act as a repetitive entity that competes with Human Resources in many corporations; it instead supersedes Human Resources' employer-to-employee relationship with a stronger ideological position and purpose dedicated to manipulating outcomes and interactions.
I am a self-respecting Black American man, and I would never want to be treated differently because of something I didn't earn, like having more melanin in my skin than someone else. To me, DEI in corporate America was implemented in the hopes of limiting liability against claims of discrimination, to massage the egos of faux-guilt-riddled white Leftist savior types in leadership, and to give the perception that ruthless capitalists can also be socially conscious.
It was created for everyone but the people it directly impacts and now we are unfairly blamed as a group when there are white people being discriminated against for opportunities and advancement.
I don't need artificial opportunities: I just want equal treatment.

At some point, we've got to hang up the idea that the 'Grisha are an oppressed group comparable to real life, and the Darkling is a misunderstood hero of the story." The allegory is always going to fall apart before it can hit the ground running. It's a very unserious argument. What are we even arguing at this point? The person with very spooky, unlimited power, who is immortal, and can very well live a normal life if they wanted to is comparable to being discriminated against for very real, very obvious things such as skin color, features, gender and sex. Like if someone wanted to kill me for being black or being gay, or anything of the matter-- the fear is not founded in anything tangible. It is just a justification for violence which I am powerless to stop.
Being afraid of an immortal, shadow dude with the ability to live beyond normal years, can kill me in an instant, can create shadow creatures are a valid fear??? Being afraid of someone with natural superhuman abilities is a...valid fear.
The allegory is going to always fall apart, same with properties like X-Men (to an extent: I do think Magneto is well-written allegory at points in his run) . It doesn't work so please stop trying to make it work. Darkling is a good character in an otherwise mediocre world, its totally fine to like him without having to play the mind games here.
But also--I think this is why a character who represents a true villainous revolutionary will always be Erik Killmonger, my beloved. There are so many layers to his ideologies, that even the muted nature of Disney does not smear it. A revolutionary for the people can still be an agent of oppression. I found myself agreeing with Killmonger all the way throughout the movie, on an ideological level. I empathized and understood his visceral rage, I felt that. But I also think that at a personal level, he (1) wasn't the person fit to lead that change (2) he had a power problem. On the surface level, it's very obvious that Erik feels the plight of his people, that is a very real emotion. On a deeper level, we can argue that he has an ego problem and he doesn't see his own people as well...people (see: his casual disposal of his loyal girlfriend, his killing of his personal guard, admitting that he's killed even his own people--the people he supposedly wants to free). I think many WOC can attest to the intricacies of oppression within our communities - especially where the cis men in our communities lie. (also see: the intricacies within Black Panther Party; Ron Karenga torturing black women; many more black men-led revolutionaries throwing black women and black lgbtq+ under the bus in these movements, etcs)
Anywho - I suggest you guys read Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison if you are interested in such complexities. It is one of my favorite books ever and I think it deals with oppression within oppression very well.
#pls leave it at the DOOR#he's a good character with nuanced motivations#for sure#but he's every bit the villain of the story#we should not be taking that plot point in the books that seriously#it is written unserious we should keep it that way.#alina shadow and bone#the darkling#aleksander morovoza#this is not a hate post#so block at your leisure#queued#the grisha trilogy#grishaverse#shadow and bone

I Gotta Say It
(PLEASE HEAR ME OUT)
Reality shifting is not real. I am Not trying to mock anyone or make anyone feel bad! I am just trying to HELP!
There Is no direct Evidence of reality shifting, the ‘Evidence’ could be applied to other things too, Such as: Magic, Unicorns, bigfoot, Or Any other spiritual belief.
“We cant all be wrong” There are Millions of people around the world who believe different things. They cant all be right but they can all be wrong. Many people believing in or saying something doesnt make It true. Example: Many people are homophobes, Or Hateful. Many Children believe In Santa claus, And so Many people are cult Members.
That does not Mean They are all right.
2: Another Argument I see is that ‘shifting Is present In many ancient religions’ 1: That religion has to be right For that to back up shifting, 2: If you believe shifting because of the religion, Why do you not believe in all those ancient religions? If Them believing something Is proof its true, that should apply to ALL their beliefs. Then If we think ancient religions are true, that should apply to everything. Maybe science is wrong and zeus made lightning?
3: Infinite realities contradicts Eachother. Sure, If there WERE infinite realities, I with a human brain wouldnt be able to comprehend It. Still, Why Cant you bring things from one universe to another?……..how do you know, Have You personally shifted to all the realities and Checked?…What If there ARE infinite realities, but youre in a Universe where you THINK you can shift, But In the Universe YOU are In, There are rules, Like; cant bring objects, While that is not the truth for the whole Multiverse? And you would never know.
4: How did people discover shifting?? Most stuff I’ve seen Is people being told of it.
5: there are so Many Different beliefs within the community. ‘Dont trust shifttok’ or ‘2020 shifttok lied to us’ or ‘Do this method, not that’ or ‘Shifting is related to THIS spirituality or this other belief’ If you cant trust all of them, how can you trust any of them? What evidence do you have that they dont?
6: I feel like Much Of the stuff Is a bit hypocritical, ofcourse this doesnt refer to ALL people: but Just listen to this:
‘There are Infinite Universes, But You CANT change your ethnicity’
Like seriously? If you have ALL the power in the world, why is that not socially acceptable? Because, In some universes there definitely isnt racism, or atleast not racism based on skin color. Infinite universes means one universe where You eye color is what matters. If you were born in a Universe where people were discriminated against based on eye color, Would You restrict yourself to not change your eye color when you shifted?
ok so theres a lot of stuff but those were some of my thoughts. I was in the shifting community for so Long and It ruined my life. May not be ur experience, but It is mine.
the reason I ever believed was because my friend, my BEST friend Told me she had shifted.
Also, A Little bonus: Plus, Why Spread shifting? Why tell people? Sure. Some peoples lives are gonna be changed, And some are gonna have fun, BUT IMAGINE WHAT AN EVIL PERSON WOULD DO WITH UNLIMITED POWER YOUVE DESTROYED US ALL-
Lol.
Bye
#Exshifter#anti shifter#reality shifting#shiftblr#shifting#vent#hear me out#Im not tryna make anyone mad This is what I would have wanted to hear when I was a shifter

Why are you so obsessed with making Sophie trans or Benedict bi? And please do not say representation as your reason. The show already has Brimsley (much beloved) and Granville.
It is clear within their world that you could be put to death for it. That’s why Granville had to hide his sexual identity while being in a lavender marriage or Brimsley and Reynolds kept it behind close doors in the palace. Benedict is the kind of person who will shout his love so loud for the people in the back to hear. He won’t be able to do that without facing some sort of legal consequences.
It is more than likely Sophie is a WOC than making him bi. And if that’s the decision the show creators are going with, you should at least respect that instead of calling everyone who disagrees with you as bigots and homophobes.
Hey nonny,
Thank you for this really interesting ask. I try to answer it step by step.
First at all, it was the Bridgerton marketing team who put the idea of bi Benedict in my head in the first place. Remember the very first trailer, that framed it in a way that Benedict has sex with a dude? I saw that and said: „wow, amazing! A show set in regency times with poc and queer main hero’s?! I HAVE to watch that!“ and then it was a side character and not Benedict. Then all my hopes were on season 2, but this time: nothing! Not even queer side characters.
I was so disappointed. Because this idea of bi Benedict already lived - at this point - rent free in my head.
My first idea: gender swap Sophie. I still love the idea but as a next step I started wondering how they can make Benedict and Sophie fall in love without gender swap Sophie, but still give it a queer sub-tone. My idea: trans Sophie.
I love the idea because Benedict falling in love with a servant/bastard is… yes nice. This would also mean his social death back then btw. Giving this a modern twist… Using the opportunity to discuss modern problems… hello, that’s so awesome!
Further: Brimsleys story was awesome but I am tierd of sad historical gay love stories. I want gay love stories with a Happy End. Featured in a major Netflix show, aimed at straight people! you know how awesome that be? Yes, I will use the forbidden word: „representation“.
Also it is fiction: the explanation why Benedict was able to marry Sophie eventually (in the book) was bad, come on. The whole book was a disaster and I love Benedict!
It is fiction. They have a black queen, and a black Duke, which was possible because „love fixed it all“. If they can find an in universe explanation why all skin colors are represented without discrimination I am sure they can find an explanation why queer love can have a Happy End as well.
Also why does it has to be addressed that Sophie is trans? Just let her be played by a trans actress, a trans actress in a cis role? We love that!
You probably don’t know but the second thing I am petitioning for is making Sophie Asian (because I am not dumb. I know how highly unlikely it is that we will get trans Sophie) but the thought of a blond, white, cis Sophie… yawn! How boring! Aschenputtel 2.0.
If they decide to make Sophie a WOC I will absolutely respect that! And I really think it is not unlikely, because season 3 has an all white main cast. But so far no decision has been made, no Sophie is casted (as far as we know), Benedict is straight… and as long Sophie isn’t casted I can have every head canon I want to.
I don’t Call everyone a homophobe who is against bi Benedict or trans Sophie… just those people who have no further arguments against it then: „Ewwwwwww! Gay people! Disgusting!“
Give me a valid argument and I am all ears.
Thanks for the attention, I hope I answered it.

Okay, I love your blog n all, but, from a black person to another, how are you a hood princess but you haven't experienced racism? That's just my question, don't take it rudely, I'm just wondering
I’m black! I’m inherently hated for my skin color that’s racism. And I’m very aware that I’m a black girl.
When say I haven’t experienced racism. No one ever to my face called me the n word or had been discriminatory against me simply just for being black that’s what I meant, because there is no space for that to happen. I’m around black people 24/7 and I haven’t ran into any uncle ruckus’
I’m black it’s very possible for me to experience racism. Some black people will probably never experience being called the n word in their lives that doesn’t mean they can’t be from the hood.
Though I live in a black nation I am still a minority in the world and looked down at. And that’s literally the whole point of the “Hood Princess” thing. People hate black people and culture anything associated with black people for no reason when they’re just being themselves, and I appreciate that black culture. And I don’t see people being themselves as bad.
And the hood and racism what I mean “being to my face called the n word or discriminated against outwardly.” Don’t correlate.

-> references for the official meaning (s) of these ’-phobia’ and ’-isms’
[ NOTE : Just because I have not explicitly mentioned a phobia in the list above from the website that I have linked, does not mean that it is on the table. I just assumed that nobody would request it/I am just not expecting it]
✺ Rape/non-consensual sexual occurences
✺ Sexual occurences to a minor
✺ Any forms of abuse to adult and/or minor
-> here is a list of abuses that I will not ever be writing
✺ Intense BDSM
-> Worrying kinks that should never be normalised or written about
[NOTE: If, for some reason, you do request something from this list eg : somnophilia and I read it, I will not shame you for it. I will merely delete it and move on. Kink-shaming is icky, not equally-icky, but hateful none the less]
❗️ I will write about
✺ Mild BDSM
-> link to common kinks, that I will be writing for
[NOTE: On this list, numbers 8, 18 are not allowed. Don’t ask for it. Please. And, it also states erotic asphyxiation, this is different to the actual strangling, because it is not performed so intensly, with the intent/disregard of death. It is slight pressure on the sides of the neck, and very light force on the windpipe]
-> webstite that talks about safe BDSM/kink-experimentation.
✺ Smut.
✺ Fluff
✺ Angst
✺ Dub/con
[NOTE: DUBIOUS CONSENT otherwise known as DUB/CON will be taken as (by me personally) previously given consent, verbally, physically or by signal/clothing (eg. reader wears a specific peice of clothing that informs their partner that they are giving consent for sexual acts). In my work, it will always be specified that the couple have given consent beforehand. To some, dub/con may be taken as unsure/hesitant consent. That is not the case in my work, consent is not something to be hesitant about and in my writing, it is merely a case of trust between the parties. If i do choose to include dub/con in my work, it will be indicated.]
✺ Specifically, Piss kink
This list can/will be subject to change.

Naruto!
Hello Tumblr! Surprisingly, even though I love anime, I've never watched Naruto until this class. I did watch one episode a while back but I just couldn't get into it. Now, I had to watch it for this class and I will say that it was a great COUPLE episodes. I will be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of long anime or any show, because I feel like I'll get lost. This anime was no exception until I was assigned to watch certain episodes. What I've gathered from the episodes I watched, the themes it focuses on are about perseverance, friendship, and societal expectations. It shows us a world where the protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, seeks recognition and acceptance in a society that shuns him due to the 9-tailed fox spirit (something he couldn't control). This narrative addresses both Japanese societal issues and global themes.
In Japan, the series touches on the pressures of societal roles and expectations. Naruto, who is marginalized due to being a host for the 9-tailed fox spirit, parallels real-life issues of bullying and social exclusion in Japan, or discrimination. This reflects the societal tendency to ostracize those who are different, echoing the challenges faced by various minority groups.
Globally, Naruto resonates with themes of identity and acceptance. Many viewers relate to Naruto's journey of self-discovery and his fight against prejudice. His story encourages embracing individuality and emphasizes that one’s background doesn’t dictate their future. The series highlights the importance of empathy, understanding, and breaking down stereotypes.
I will say on a more personal level, that I am an African-American in a society that isn't completely accepting of who I am. Now, I haven't faced such prejudice as Naruto has, but I do understand some parts of being ostracized as a kid mainly due to the color of my skin. The white kids would bully me because I was darker than them and the black kids would bully me because I was lighter than them. It's an unfortunate reality, so it's good to see something, in this case, an anime, show such prejudice or discrimination in a way that many people can understand.

💌🫂💕
This was a tough one for me due to the fact that I’m not in your position and it is a very sensitive topic, so I had to seriously think my answer through with the concern in mind that I may sound passive. I'll try my best to answer and as always, if you need further clarification don't hesitate to reach out again.
I’d like to start by dropping this excerpt from one of my favorite lectures Changing the Feeling of “I” which I strongly recommend you read in full whenever you can:
“...he said to me that he had an insoluble problem. I said, "There is no such thing as an insoluble problem. "But", he said, "you do not know my problem. It's not a state of health, I assure you; look at the skin that I wear" . I said, "What's wrong with it; it looks lovely to me". He said, "Look at the pigment of my skin. I, by the accident of birth, am now discriminated against. The opportunities for progress in this world are denied me just because of the accident of birth, that I was born a colored man. Opportunities for advancement in every field, neighborhoods that I would like to live in and raise a family I couldn't move in, where I would like to open up a business I couldn't move into that area." [...] You can start now from scratch and choose the being you want to be. You aren't going to change the pigment of your skin but you will find your accent or the pigment of skin or your so-called racial background will not be a hindrance, for if a man is ever hindered it can only be the state of consciousness in which he abides that hinders him. Man is freed or constrained by reason of the state of mind in which he persists.” “if he could only drop it by non-acceptance, by complete indifference, to the pigment of skin he could accomplish his every dream by acceptance of it now.”
Before we consider manifestation I would say it is significantly more important that you mend the relationship you have with your race. Learn to appreciate your heritage and fall in love with it and I mean truly fall in love with it as it is such a prominent facet of your identity. The color of your skin and the texture of your hair have been adored for centuries and centuries long before you and that is how you came into existence. What is more beautiful than that? Do not try to let the world convince you that you are beneath them when you epitomize beauty and excellence.
Remember, consciousness is the only reality and everyone is you pushed out. The way you change the outside is by changing on the inside. Embrace your blackness. Turn to the beauty of your culture and watch as the world follows right behind you.
What should you do? Begin with self. It always, always always starts with self. Practice self love. Fall in love with yourself and remember that you’re not limited to the facts of the world. Not today, not ever. You can even turn to Abdullah himself, the man who taught Neville the law. Before the Civil Rights Act was passed in 1964, black people were only allowed to sit in the balcony at the opera. However, Abdullah knowing the law did not allow this to confine him and instead he would walk up to the box office and buy orchestra seating of his choice. No matter what it is you desire to have, do or be, you cannot, cannot ever allow yourself to be swayed by the world. Before you go to bed, induce the state akin to sleep and dwell on the loveliness of your own being. Dwell on these lovely things until they crowd out all of the unlovely thoughts and then fall asleep. Do this as many times as you need to until the love you have for your blackness becomes unwavering. When you do, it will not matter what the world thinks, it will not matter what the world does, it will inevitably serve its role as a testament to your shift in consciousness. You can always change the world to your heart's content, my love. Don’t lose hope.

im american (afrolatino). and race and ethnicity in america is very very much not the same thing. sara would still not be considered a poc in america. the only reason people might think being latino = not white is because people mix up race and ethnicity a lot over here.
her race would be white and her ethnicity would be latino (nationality depending on where in sa their family is from). my race is black and my ethnicity is latino (i was born in mexico).
i am considered a person of color because i am black. sara is white. she would be considered white in america with latino heritage/blood. idk how it works in europe so im not gonna argue against that.
but again, whether sara is considered a person of color or not, colorism is still a thing. she would be a person of color who does not face discrimination for her skin color.

I think some white people genuinely don’t see it. When I started watching the Bad Batch it didn’t even occur to me their skin was lightened. Except for Omega…she is…very white. (and Caleb/Kanan....)
There was another show I was watching with my Dad where the main character was mixed race and in-story was being demeaned/discriminated against for not being white and my dad was so confused he either just saw her as white or didn’t even register race at all and was just into the story. I don’t know.
But, obviously, ignorance doesn’t stop racism. I think white people who aren’t making the effort to listen to what people of color have to say and really make their in-person and online spaces full of different viewpoints and lived experiences…when something is pointed out as being obviously racist they can’t even begin to wrap their head around it. It’s still such a foreign concept to a lot of…insulated…white people.
I am really curious how and where this manifests in the production-side of Bad Batch. There are probably people pushing actively racist narratives whether they know it or not. What feels “natural” to them is just flat out racism. And they have no idea.
Now maybe I'm giving them too much credit (which is weird for me…I’m usually a “humanity is inherently bad” type person) it’s one of those things where, I expect, the rooms of influence are full of too many white people that any people of color who see the blatant racism don’t have enough of a voice or the job security to speak up.
I also imagine animation has inherited a lot of racism. If white men are primarily animating in white styles with white features and racist tropes that gets passed down and BIPOC learning animation in school learn racist, white-centered styles they would potentially become desensitized, manipulated, or resigned into thinking that that’s the right/good style.
Or maybe someone at Disney/Lucasfilm really wants to push –obvious to BIPOC, subtle to white people– narratives. Idk.
This has been in my inbox for ages, sorry!
But yeah, I keep trying to wrap my head around how something this blatantly bad can possibly be greenlit through multiple stages, and it's to me one of two things: a series of painfully unaware and ignorant white creators who do rarely, if ever, consider race and appearance in their story telling that they came out with this, or people who did this on purpose. And there's no way to prove the latter and really no evidence for it either, and its a thought I hate entertaining anyways so it's more likely the former.
But either way, this does really expose the way white creators default to the racism they grew up in in their story telling.

Dornish! Septa headcannon
She’s from a Sandy dornish family that lives in OldTown.
She joined the faith to escape poverty and try to escape discrimination thinking people would respect her more as a holy sister.
She takes the name Labella cause it’s the most like her old name Larlyall.
Septa Labella comes to kings landing after Rhaenyra’s wedding to assist the Elderly Septa of Haelena.
Her and Alicent bond quickly as both feel like outcasts in the city and enjoy doing more feminine tasks together like embroidery.
Septa Labella teaches Haelena how to embroider and Haelena is very gifted at it, able to embroider without guides.
Septa Labella is also super excited to meet another Dornish man when she meets Criston Cole. He’s very closed off at first.
Haelena’s embroidery lessons were a game of keep away for Septa Labella. The young princess only wanted to embroider the bugs in her collection and insisted on Labella holding the squirming creature so she could see the bugs details. Today’s bug was a centipede, one of the ugliest creatures Labella had ever seen. It had more legs than any other creature, each dragging against her skin as in climbed from one finger to another in a never ending quest of escape. She could feel sorry for the creature but, seven forgive her, it was not in her to love such a creepy crawly thing. Queen Alicent sat next to princess Haelena passing her the different colors she requested. Despite only being 6, the princess was very articulate when it came to describing bugs.
“The feet are light orange with dark red tips.” Haelena pointed to the one of many little feet crawling on Labella’s hands.
Alicent picked up two shades of pale orange thread for Haelena to pick from, “ which color do you want to use my sweets?”
Haelena looked over the colors and shocked her head, “that one’s too yellow and that one’s not bright enough.”
Septa Labella found the girl’s insistence on accuracy cute but she’s rather Haelena would do so without needing a refrence. “Princess, we can embroider an ombré, it will make the colors transition from orange to red smoothly.”
Haelena leaned closer to the bug, examining the colors of the legs. She turned to the basket of thread and began digging out multiple thread colors, lining them up on the floor to achieve the ombré color palette she liked. Labella and Alicent switched from watching her young mind work to eachother.
Alicent reached over and touched Labella’s knee, “it has been so long since we could relax here.”
Labella smiled at Alicent, “it has, how have you been?”
Alicent sighed deeply, “I feel like I am watching the kingdom fall apart while everyone is blinded to it. The Prince Lucerys has confirmed my suspicions. How the king can see it without reacting us beyond me. Atleast Daemon has left to take Laena Valeryon to wife and off to Essos.”
“Men are often blind to what they do not wish to see. I once knew a man who was convinced he bought a foal that would never grow to a stallion, but guess what?”
Haelena looked up from her arrangement of thread, “what?”
Labella leaned to closer, “the foal was actually a mule!”
Haelena broke out into giggles, “he’s so dumb for think it was a horse!” She turned back to her threads, measuring and cutting how much of each she would need.
“Why did he think it was a horse? What made him realize it was a mule?” Alicent asked.
Labella shrugged, “I was told the man bought the mull with all his savings, it was his only possession. He realized it was a mule when the local stable hand switched it for an actual foal to see if he noticed. It was the shock of seeing one that broke the trance.”
Alicent sighed, “I fear he will never realize the truth, and I fear what she will do if he does.”
“Where’s my centipede?” Haelena asked.
Labella looked down to realize that the centipede had crawled into her sleeve. Labella let out a shriek a shook her sleeves until the centipede flew out for Haelena to catch.
The commotion cause Ser Criston Cole to enter the Princess’s room. “Is everything okay in here my queen?” He looked quite handsome in his white Kingsguard armor. He was shaped in the image of the warrior.
Alicent replied, “it is all right Criston,” she turned to Haelena, “my dear can you put your centipede away so it can stay safe?”
Haelens nodded to her mother and took her big to the corner of her room filled with hand crafted glass enclosures for the bugs.
Alicent patted the floor next to her and Labella, “join us Ser Criston, you and Septa Labella have rarely had time to talk.”
Ser Criston looked at Labella before quickly staring at the wall behind the two, “I do not know what we would discuss, your Grace.”
Alicent rolled her eyes and stood up, grabbing Criston’s hand to pull him to the floor. “You do not know what to talk about because you two have not yet talked, we are fixing that.”
Septa Labella smiled at Criston, “Ser Criston, your family is Dornish but comes from the Dornish Marshes, have you ever visited Dorne?”
Criston shook his head, “my mother was from Sunspear but I have never seen her home land.” He paused to look at Alicent for assistance, she gave him an encouraging smile. “Is it permitted to ask a Septa her origins?”
Labella giggled, “yes, as long as you don’t ask for my family name as we forsake those when we take the veil. My mother and father your carpet artisans who worked in OldTown, they told me we are from the deserts of Dorne but I have never seen the country myself. Hopefully one day when the kingdoms are united, we will be free to visit.”
Haelena tapped on Criston’s shoulder and held out her near complete embroidery of her centipede. “We’re embroidering my centipede.” She swayed back and forth shyly.
Criston took the embroidery hoop from the Princess’s hands. “It is truly remarkable, what a gifted little girl you are,” he reached over to ruffle her hair. Haelena broke out into giggles, grabbing her embroidery loom from Criston and running to air on her mother’s lap.
I love them 🥺

Alright, not my best work as I’m not entirely satisfied with his design, though the more I look at it, the more fine I am with it. I just want to get him out
He’s in a more Chibi style based off of Cookie Run because I’ve forgotten how to draw humans and I had to go with this if I wanted to get a design down
This is an Evoland character I made up Sunday after listening to too much Fearless Hero from Puss in Boots
For context, the idea for him is that he’s like a folklore hero that has songs about him, and one of my characters for a hypothetical Evoland 3, Jovi, was supposed to sing about him (I made this guy up because the idea was Jovi’d sing some version of Fearless Hero but about some other hero, and I decided to finally give them an identity). He was real, but as a folklore hero from the distant future, he’s not really from any set time in the series, whether you’re talking about Evoland 2 or my hypothetical Evoland 3
Since he’s largely based off Puss in Boots, at least in demeanor, I wanted to call him Antonio, because Antonio Banderas, but I’ll be honest, he looks more like an Ashley to me, so that’s his name
So what his whole deal is and what makes him special is that he isn’t demon or human, rather half and half. Like Ceres, but he comes much later in the timeline, where there are more, so he doesn’t steal her thunder. But they’re still pretty discriminated against, as some still see them as a freak of nature. Ashley though, does not care in the slightest, and frankly, he loves being himself. Instead of seeing himself as someone who doesn’t belong anywhere, he sees himself as one of a kind. Dude’s got a major ego
Also unlike Ceres (and another character of mine, Holly), Ashley has a demon mother and human father. With his design I wanted to reflect his hybrid nature, with him having pink skin (I felt it was a good compromise between human skin and purple skin), and having bright blond hair; a hair color not found in demons, but also far too vibrant to be a normal human color. Also giving him the black sclera of demons, but blue eyes like a human. Also in giving him asymmetrical horns (he has another one, you just can’t see it under his hair, it’s pretty small. Also I kind of forgot to draw it)
Again, his personality is mainly based off Puss in Boots, or at least how he’s portrayed in the opening of The Last Wish, being very egotistical and loving danger, going town to town helping the common folk, while getting in trouble with authorities. He’s also considered pretty attractive, even if he’s considered a freak; calls it his “devilish charm”. He’s almost always seen smiling, you know unless he knows he’s in trouble, but even then he tries to play it off and use his charisma to get out of situations. He’s also quite a bit of flirt, though I’ll be honest I’m not sure whether to make him pan or ace. I feel like it should be one of the two, but I don’t know which idea is better
He’s also an incredible fighter, being capable of seemingly impossible feats (some of it is exaggerated in stories, but not all of it). I imagine he carries a sword, but also maybe guns? I’ve even considered changing the guns for fire magic, since it’s not ludicrous he has it. And whenever he comes to town, you can always expect a musical number from him and his guitar. Some of the songs about him are of his own composition, and some of those are altered so they’re less first person and more third person
I wanted to keep him as just a character in song, but also my brain wants to put him in the team and replace him with Rowan, and thus needing to humanize him, so to speak. I’m not sure I’m going to do that as he’s still considered like a living legend, and so he might be a bit jarring, but who knows
If I were to humanize him, the thing I have is that while he loves the limelight and wouldn’t change anything about himself and his life, he does feel lonely, as while people love him for being the daring hero or for his boldness or uniqueness, people don’t really love him for him, if that makes sense. They like the legendary hero, not the person. Yes, his family loves him, but they’re basically the only ones, and he doesn’t live with them, so he basically lives his life ultimately alone, even if he’s surrounded by other people.
He’s a very expressive person. I want to do like an expression page with him, though I’ll probably just use Puss in Boots as my reference
But yeah, I think that’s about it for him. Hope you like him!
