ok just had my dr appt and am feeling a lot better.

we’re going to increase my dosage of the meds + do a diagnostic test on friday to see if my fallopian tubes are blocked (and i guess the test itself can improve conception rates after because of the type of dye they use?). the cost of the test is within the range i felt i could afford so that’s good too. most importantly she was really reassuring about the “if you have 3 failed cycles IUI won’t work for you” advice that is allllll over the internet. her take is that the research focuses mostly on heterosexual couples who likely had difficulties conceiving naturally for a year or more before seeking fertility care... meaning they’ve typically gone through 15-16 unsuccessful cycles (12 of trying to conceive naturally + 3-4 with IUI). in that case there’s likely some other reason things aren’t working and so it makes sense, timing wise and financially, to move on to the highest-tech option (ie IVF). but for single women and/or lesbians who are trying to conceive, those 3-4 IUI cycles are their first and only attempts. and if the medical history looks good and the person is responding well to the medication, then it might just be a timing and luck thing. so she says if everything looks good on the test we’re doing friday, she recommends that i try six cycles before we reassess. and if i can balance the costs and don’t want to do IVF, she says there’s no reason why i couldn’t follow the regular guidance for couples trying non-medicated cycles ie a full year of trying (although at that point i might decide the financial / emotional cost isn’t worth it).

Adjacent and concurrent to what's already been said:

1) Think about if you want things you post or reblog to be at all connected to your outside-world life, now or ten years from now.

Whether you still think the axiom of 'what is on the internet is forever' is still true as sites rot and post-histories fall into the void, you should assume that if you post something, it could theoretically turn up a decade or two later. If the site itself isn't intact, maybe the site was mirrored, or the page was Waybacked, or someone screenshotted it, or so on.

That's not me saying you shouldn't shitpost, or talk politics, or even vent about RL stuff...but do think ahead a bit, just to be safe.

2) Connected to the above: think about if you want to keep the same username on all sites, or if you want to have different IDs. The same for which email you register that site with.

I use Zoanzon here, and on other sites too. If you see the name, its reasonable to assume its me. So, if I ever wanted to make a profile on something I wouldn't want connected to me if a friend or family just randomly poked around, or if I randomly get doxxed, I'd not want to use this handle for registering to porn-sites or whatever.

Maybe you decide to use the same account everywhere; maybe you use one handle for social media and another for Etsy and Patreon and Kickstarter and other buying-sites; maybe you embrace childhood love of spy movies and keep a notebook to track each of your separate handles for every single site. But, think about how you want to go about it.

And emails? I dunno exactly how it works, but I know it's possible to track accounts by their emails, so if you need to keep your online activity segregated, it'll be easier if you've got burner emails. This goes for randos trying to stalk you, and if potential employers try to find what you've been posting online and find you dissing cops or mentioning your health issues.

(Plus it'll make your mail email's inbox less of a hellhole if all the promotional spam is going into an email you have specifically for sites you know will be sending you spam.)

Medical diagnoses - this is nobody's business but yours. You don't owe anyone an explanation for why you are the way that you are

Spice Market №1—a San Myshuno Shell by Moonwoodhollow. San My is one of my favourite worlds and yet I've never shared any build I've built there before. With the new pack coming, I thought it was finally time to change this. I created this build with the new lot type of a combined residential/business in mind and created 4 apartment shells and 6 business/shop shells. I hope this lot inspires you to create the San Myshuno of your dreams!

So what do you get?

Spice Market №1 is a 30x30 lot best placed in San Myshuno in the Spice Market neighbourhood. The lot is currently set as a residential lot, but you could set it as a residential rental, or once the new pack comes out combine a residential lot with a business. The lot consists of 4 apartments; 3 of these apartments comprise two floors while one only has one floor, but a rooftop terrace. There are also 6 businesses/shops/cafés/restaurants/etc. shells. 2 of these are in the basement, while the others are all on the 1st floor and potentially have more floors. It's all up to you! I wanted to give you as much freedom as possible with the interior and let your creativity run wild!

Uses items from the following packs: looks best with almost all packs. But a tip: take a look at the build in the gallery and click on the packs to see the items I used from that pack, it might also look good with fewer packs.

Some quick tips to spotting accounts that are pretending to be a Palestinian needing mutual aid. Please keep in mind that not all of them are scam accounts, and that some may legitimate blogs who just aren’t too knowledgeable on how tumblr works. This guide is based around what I go by when checking certain blogs and usually it’s a quick giveaway the blog is a scam.

Please read this post too from my other blog before you tell people don’t donate to gfms:

1. You was sent the ask as someone who regularly shares Palestine related content such as regular news updates of posts by other Palestinians who are regularly giving updates. You may also get these asks from sharing a popular post that is from the Palestine tag. If you post often about Palestine, you will always start getting these asks. These askers don’t care if you state don’t send the asks. They will anyway. Unfortunately minors also get sent asks.

2. The ask has odd formatting such as having odd quotation marks in it or unusual formatting that may indicate it’s been edited and copied from somewhere else. Often the ask is the same thing as the post itself minus a link to a donation site. These asks rarely change so searching it should pull up if it’s been sent to other bloggers and sometimes the asks are edited only to add new phrases to them in time.

3. The account is almost always a few days old or a week old or long depending on how often they have sent asks. Usually some may even be an hour old and reusing a familiar pfp/ask.

4. The blog has a few Palestine related posts or posts from random tags reblogged to pad out length and then no more. They will have no original posts besides the pinned post while occasionally answering asks that they may have received but otherwise nothing else and no further updates given either.

5. They may have a Linktree link that is called “GoFundMe” as if indicating they have a GoFundMe there. However, they don’t. When clicked on, the Linktree actually goes to a PayPal account whose name may not even match the one their supposed name is. They’ll say it’s a friend, but it’s just the same person not someone else. You’ll see this same name across multiple accounts after a while usually giving away it’s not legitimate even under a different theme.

6. The text used by the blogs are often real stories stolen from legitimate fundraisers and searching parts of it in your preferred search engine should pull up the sources. These sources make no mention of a tumblr account either or don’t have the PayPal account associated with them in the info. Scammers often impersonate a real person in need and will ignore you if you show them the source they copied from.

7. Legitimate Palestinians often link to their own GoFundMe posts that their friends have set up or post links to other social platforms they are found on. They will regularly post updates when possible, post sources to support them when necessary, and also generally have some method of verifying their legitimacy. They may often share links to support others as well or give links to charities that have been shown as reliable. They will have more original posts than just a single pinned one and regularly speak to other tumblr accounts beyond just an ask. Please don’t bother them with asks about possible scam accounts. There are many guides out there that can do that for you if you search. You may find verified fundraisers too.

8. Scammers don’t know anything about Palestine and will often have trouble once you ask them anything beyond the mutual aid post. They don’t know the languages decently and you can tell it pretty easily if you’re one who uses it regularly. Whatever the scammers use is often just copied off the site they got the post from. Sometimes the text is just reused from past scams such as asking for insulin that doesn’t last long.

9. These scammers can and will use names stolen off real Palestinians to look more legitimate and trustworthy. They change names constantly once one of their PayPal accounts is shut down.

10. If you do see a GoFundMe link on a blog, don’t immediately assume it’s a scam just because it’s a relatively new account. Check the post notes to see if anyone’s verified the account yet or wait a bit as it takes time. You likely can search around to see if anyone’s posted anything where the blog has been vetted by others. You may also see if the GoFundMe is referred to on other socials or on lists that compile verified and vetted fundraisers.

Please don’t let these scams deter you from sending support where it needs to go. Even if you can’t donate personally, there are other ways to help. If you are sending money, please make sure that it’s going to where it’s needed and the place it’s sent has been verified accordingly. If you find a blog is a scammer, and have been able to prove it, please make sure to alert anyone sharing the post and report the account.

Contacting your Senators and House Reps -- some helpful scripts!

So since the Fascist Regime™ (aka the current US administration) is losing NO time in speedrunning the Nazi Germany storyline, it is more important than EVER to let your elected officials know that this is absolute batshit and they should be doing everything they can to oppose it.

As a note -- your elected officials' contact information is PUBLICLY available via the official government websites senate.gov and house.gov -- these are their OFFICES (not private residences).

Elected officials cannot help but notice when suddenly their offices are getting bombarded with phone calls. That said, I urge anyone who calls them to be polite, firm, clear, and specific about why they are calling. To that end, here are a few useful sites with scripts for calling them!

Steven shifts a little, sinking his teeth into his thumbnail. He moves again, adjusting his position on the bed as he fiddles with the open box in front of him. 

He shouldn’t have bought this. 

Shame burns low in his chest, igniting his anxiety further. Faintly, in the very back of his head he can feel Marc stirring. It’s not often now that they aren’t in constant communication with each other, but he doesn’t want his input at the moment. 

“Vegan bacon.” He mutters quietly to Marc, his signal that he’s fine but needs a little alone time.

He can feel Marc’s thumbs up, hazy and distant as he fades further back and away.

“Thanks, mate.” He whispers out loud and sighs.

He really shouldn’t have bought this. 

“Hi!” You call out cheerily as you open the door and put your bag down, pulling off your shoes quickly. “I…”

You pause as you see Steven jump, almost cat-like in his sudden panic. He spins around on the bed, eyes wide and panicked like you’d just caught him with his hands in the cookie jar.

You look at him, “You okay?” 

“Yes, hi– hi Love!” He jumps up from the bed, hands behind his back, then looks to the bed, to the box on top of the covers. Then back to you. He swallows. “How, how are you? How were the shops? Good, yeah? Always good those corner shops, always tip top. That’s a funny saying, isn’t it? Tip top, tip top. Wonder where that came from, I mean it makes sense, doesn’t it? The highest, you know? The top? So the best and-”

“Woah, woah, woah,” you take a step forward, your voice soothing and kind.

He freezes, rabbit in the headlights as you get closer and then dramatically looks to the box on the bed. 

“What’s in the box, Steven?” You somehow manage to resist turning the question into a Seven reference. 

“I… erm…” He swallows, his shoulders slumping. “Nothing?”

“Are you asking me?” 

He sighs, “No, love, I’m sorry.” He sits down on the edge of the mattress, looking very sorry for himself. 

You walk over, sitting down next to him softly and purposefully ignoring every screaming urge to look at the box’s contents. 

“Do you want to talk about it?” You ask, leaning your shoulder against his to invite physical contact. 

“I…” He shakes his head, screwing up his eyes. “This is so stupid, I’m sorry, I’m making a big deal out of this, aren’t I? Yes.” 

“It’s okay, it’s not stupid if it’s bothering you.” You pat his thigh soothingly. 

He nods glumly for a moment before he turns and grabs the box behind him and hands it to you. 

He stares at his fingers, nervously fiddling with the skin around his thumbnail. 

What’s in the box, is not what you were expecting. To be honest, you weren’t actually sure what you were expecting, but still. 

Inside, wrapped in pretty tissue paper, was a collar with a large metal loop stitched onto the front. There were also matching wrist and ankle cuffs, the latter of which were connected by a spreader bar. 

“These are nice.” You say gently as you admire them. 

Steven groans, squirming a little and putting his head in his hands. 

“What?” You can’t keep the little smile out of your voice at the sound of his whine. “Steven?” You put your hand on his shoulder. 

“You’re taking the piss.” He grumbles through his fingers.

“I’m not.”

“You are.” 

“Steven,” you put the box down on the floor so you can kneel on the bed and lean closer to him. You kiss his cheek. “I am not taking the piss, mick, or anything out of you.” 

It takes a moment but he looks at you through a gap in his fingers. “It’s stupid.” 

You shake your head. 

“I should have talked to you first.” 

Your expression softens, “Why? You don’t need my permission to buy things?” 

“No, but,” He sits up a little, moving his body fully to face you. “I… I don’t know if you want to use them with me… I should have asked if you were interested in…”

“In tying you up?” You ask with a smile. 

He blushes a little, a faint hint of pink highlighting his cheeks and the very tip of his ears. “Yeah.” 

You kiss his cheek, a giddy feeling settling in your stomach. “I’ll tie you up.” 

Steven swallows, the audible gulp echoing around the room. 

For a long moment, you watch him, raking your eyes over his face and form as he squirms softly under the weight of your gaze. 

“Strip.” You finally say, your voice low but commanding. 

He jumps to his feet instantly, hurriedly undoing his belt buckle and pushing his jeans and boxers down his legs. His cock springs free, semi hard already as he kicks his trousers off his feet and pulls off his shirt and top. 

You have to put a steadying hand on his hip to help him to keep his balance, and stop him from cracking his head open on the side table. His skin is warm, practically vibrating under your touch as anticipation shivers and flutters in his stomach. 

When, in record time, he’s bare, you give him a second to breathe, to look at you with darkening eyes before you nod your head nonchalantly to the bed. 

He practically jumps onto it, wiggling into the middle on his back and giving you an eager grin. His anxiety having completely jumped out of the window the second you said you were on board. 

You snort, grabbing the ankle straps and spreader out of the box and kneeling on the bed. He parts his legs immediately, giving his hips an extra jiggle as he moves to make his cock bounce. 

“You’re so naughty, Steven.” You giggle and he nods rapidly. 

“So naughty, love. I deserve to be put in my place, have some kind of punishment.”

“Oh really?” You take hold of his left leg and secure the cuff.

“Definitely.” He gives you a cheeky wink. 

“Is that okay?” You check as you buckle the fastening, “Not too tight?” 

He shivers as you pull the fastening, swallows, and then wiggles his foot. “Nah, all good, feels right.” 

You nod, “Okay,” and take hold of his other ankle. “Let me know though, straight away, if it becomes uncomfortable in a non sexy way.” 

He mirrors your nod, his cock twitching. “I promise. Straight away.”

“Good.” You smile, enjoying how he lets you manhandle him a little as you adjust the spreader once both feet are secured and move him into the position you want.

He bites his lip as he smiles, watching you gleefully as you get up and move to his wrists. He holds them out to you instantly, holding them steady as you put on the bracelet cuffs and shivering again as you tighten them. 

You notice how his dick twitches again, how hard it has grown. But you don’t comment on it. 

Slowly you move his hands over the top of his head and attach the chain to his right wrist, threading it through the headboard a few times before clipping the end onto his left.

“That okay?”

He gives a soft experimental tug, there’s a fraction of movement in the position he’s in, and he nods and smiles, “Perfect.” 

“Alright, do you want a pillow under your head?” 

He shakes his head.

Steven’s breathing hitches, his eyelids heavy as he raises his head to assist. You pull it closed, about to fasten the metal buckle when he whispers.

Steven whines a little as you get up, watching you intently as you open the side drawer and pull out a few things. You hold up the vibrating butt plug to him with an eyebrow raised and he nods rapidly again.

You let out a small laugh and click your tongue, “You’re not playing fair Grant.”

He flutters his eyelashes at you. “What do you mean? I always play fair.” 

“Liar.” You chastise and he grins widely as you begin to pull off your shirt.

You strip slowly, making more of a show of it than is completely necessary, but savouring the little pants and moans that escape from Steven’s lips. How they slowly grow louder and louder as more of your skin is exposed to the air.

For your first few days, wait to gift your Friends until you’re done with all your quests so you can unlock higher level gifts (and unlock more quests!)

Tip #3: Supply Runs

Your daily supply runs for week 1 should always include: - iron ore - pineapples - pumpkins - cinna blooms - magma blooms

Tip #4: Collector Hat Nul

Best items to request from your Nul are: - Day 1 = Cinna Blooms - Days 2 & 3 = Sand Dollars - Day 4 & beyond = Iron Ore

Tip #5: Crafting

Do NOT craft more items than you need during your first week

Do NOT use Worm Tails to craft Sticks unless absolutely necessary

Tip #6: Companion Abilities

Pay attention to & use companion abilities as you unlock them

Always take Hello Kitty with you when cooking

Always take My Melody with you when gifting Friends (until Hello Kitty reaches Level 12, then take her instead)

Always take Chococat with you when crafting (after he's Level 7)

Tip #7: Critters

Catch critters whenever you see them. You'll need LOTS of them for a quest later!

Don't worry about filling up your Nature Preserve right away. Just find the critter lists when you can & focus on your other quests

Bush Friends (critter found in the hedge maze in the Spooky Swamp during evening/night) are Keroppi's best levelling up gift. I have tips on how to catch them in the masterpost!

Tip #8: Fishing

The regional types of Clamfish are the best fish to catch since they make good gifts & they also give you a stick when you catch them

You can make a fish you don't want to catch lose interest by tapping your fishing rod before it bites

Do NOT release fish with Badtz-maru! Fish can give you much more valuable items when released at the Fwishing Well (no that's not a typo - it's a fish wishing well 😂)

Tip #9: Friendship Bouquets & Blossoms

Use Friendship Blossoms to level up Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Retsuko, in that order of priority

After Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Retusko are all at Level 11, use any blossoms you get to level up Wish me mell

Tip #10: Island Visitors

You can only have 3 Visitors per day, so plan your Visitors wisely

Place items with a Visitor's "liked" tag in their cabin to increase the chance they will visit

You don't need to invite any Visitors you don't want on your island so don't stress about setting up cabins for all 50+ of them <3 (yes, there are over 50 additional characters you can have living on your island all at the same time!)

Rosenhedge St. 48 is inspired by one of the houses I always see on my way home from work and I love how it looks once autumn arrives and the foliage turns yellow, orange and red. So what do you get?

Rosenhedge St. 48 is a 30x20 residential lot best placed in Brindleton Bay (Sporting Space or Hinquarter Hideaways lots) or Henford-on-Bagley (13 Nettle Lane or Cordelia's Secret Cottage). It could potentially also look good in Glimmerbrook or maybe even the new world, that's all up to you!

Hey how do you do the color gradient thing for your dialog tags?

Assuming you mean these things, I've actually been meaning to make a guide of my own for a while lol.

For one, you can only do this on computer/the website of Tumblr! There's no option to select this stuff on the app.

STEP 1: CREATE A NEW DOC / GO TO SETTINGS

It opens a dropdown menu/whole screen full of options!

From there, select the "text editor" dropdown, which starts as displaying "rich text".

Select "HTML"

And it should change how the entire post looks!

STEP TWO: CHEAT

Yeeeeeaaaaah, so I use a website for this lol

I inserted my colors for faeries (#30853C) and Cloud (#6DC1B4) for my example of "these things" earlier. To make this easier, I most often have two windows open at a time while working on uploading my scripts to Tumblr.

To get colours to insert into the Text Colorizer website, you can use any kind of hex color picker or even this one website I've used to yoink "thematic" colors from photos!

Personally, I've developed a massive library of colors over time for this exact purpose lol. Using my old colors as a "base", I can change it accordingly to the kind of "new color" that I want for a specific character or thing!

(I'll use the website to also make gradients for "in-between" colors lol)

STEP 3: INSERT TEXT / DESIRED COLORS

To make Nova's gradient, I start with #A600D9, my color for Magic, and end with #F56745—their individual color. However, being as it's short, I'll use a quote from them instead lol.

Once you've inserted your text and colors, you will click in the text box I highlighted in red, ctrl+a and ctrl+c to copy it all, and go back over to your new tumblr post tab!

From there, you'll ctrl+v to paste the entirety into the HTML area, which pastes the code into your post!

AND VOILA!

You have gorgeous gradient text!

However, I want to give a fair warning and a bit of advice! If you didn't notice wayyyyyyy back when...

Tumblr warns that this all can break your formatting!

It doesn't do it too often, but take it from someone who does an obscene amount of formatting... it's 100% true.

STEP 4: CHEAT SOME MORE!

For this reason, I personally have a whole separate draft post full of my characters' colors (and names lol) that I use to copy-paste them in from rather than using the "html" text editor on every post!

I mentioned earlier I often have multiple windows open while editing? Here's what that looks like!

Additionally, I'll use a separate tab off on the left (my "current wip post" side) with the "html editor" enabled for me to copy-paste stuff!

(Also here's yet another example of how many colors I have)

Once again, you can ctrl+c these things to paste them into another tumblr post with the correct colors!

And it's ONLY possible to do on the website!!!

EXTRA INFO!

WARNING:

Tumblr will only allow each "paragraph's html to be so many characters long, so you can't have too big of anything in a gradient!

And by "anything"... I mean you really can't have that big of a gradient in general. RIP lol.

It straight-up won't save the post so long as you have that "overflow" in the character block! MAKE SURE YOU'VE FIXED IT, OR YOU CAN AND WILL LOSE ALL PROGRESS ON YOUR POST!

SINGLE-COLOR TIP:

You don't need the website for a single color! If you'd like, you can just change the "color code" within the html editor to change specific colors!

MAKE SURE COLORS CAN WORK ON DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS!

On desktop, you can use shift+p while not on any sort of textbox to change the color pallet! I always do tests to see which colors work best before settling on any!

(Tho, the blue background SPECIFICALLY is nightmarish to work around. So if that's the ONLY thing I can't make work, I often ignore it and let you guys who use it suffer lmao)

(Hopefully this'll give you guys some respect for me and how much I do to make my posts aesthetic af lol)
