Has your improvement in art been from drawing a bunch or did you follow any specific study/practice? I feel like I've been stagnating in my art and it feels like just drawing isn't taking me veyy far :(
i think a lot of my improvement comes from the drive to keep improving what i'm already doing, if that makes sense? usually when i'm drawing i'll keep in mind if i don't like a part of it and try to think of how i could do it better next time. but aside from that, i occasionally study from photo references or from other artists, the latter actually being really helpful for discovering new techniques. if there are artists you look up to and enjoy their work, i'd recommend trying to pick apart what exactly you like about their art and try to think about how they might have done it so you can recreate a similar effect if that's what your goal is. idk if that makes sense but that's how i learned some shading/coloring techniques that i use + i also just think consuming and looking at a variety of other artists work/styles is really beneficial for giving you an idea of how many different methods of drawing there are out there in the world... good luck!!!

If you are like me and are quite amused by the circus that has been ice dance over the years.. I encourage you to go watch this video of 2002 worlds (timestamp 1:43:20)
1. Rod’s inability to shut up about how ridiculous the costumes are.. love it
2. Some good points by Tracey on picking good skating technique from bad- easy to understand language for dummies like me
3. The unbelievable level of C R I N G E (ie the Russians and the Bulgarians)
4. The absolute JOKE that is ice dance judging. This was a particularly bad instance. Rod and Tracey are livid and for everyone who whinges about Rod’s commentary.. he actually does at least seem to know what he’s talking about- not to the detail that Tracey does but he knows good from bad. This was particularly interesting today (idk why I did this to myself) but I watched the same competition but with the ABC commentary and the technical knowledge comparison between Susie Wynn and Tracey is light years- I don’t always like the way Tracey commentates but I really appreciate her insight.. Susie sounds like she doesn’t knows what she was talking about- descriptions are so vague.
Don’t read further if you don’t want it spoiled:
but the judging was so bad at this comp, all the teams in the event (bar 2) signed a partition to have the results thrown out for the team that placed 3rd.
It’s too hard to explain in text form when you can go watch it if you want- so I won’t explain everything here.
Some particularly amusing parts tho:
The camera cutting to a teenage Jeff Buttle in the crowd shouting “What The Fuck??” Then realising the camera is on him and very cutely covering is mouth..
Me imaging Tracey storming out of the commentary booth
Tracey repeating ‘no, no, no, no’ when some Bullshit scores come up.
The shade 💅 thrown at the judges for not knowing wtf they are watching
Rod: “A trained monkey could’ve seen that and judged it fairly”. 🤣🤣💅 (different video- next in order of the event. time: 14:15)
So anyway, give it a watch if you feel so inclined.. I find it very amusing and ironic that some things haven’t changed.. also just how tf (sorry, I’m swearing a lot) it was thought that you could judge as much detail as there is in this sport- split hairs between teams using a system like the 6.0.. I have a post coming out soon where I get a bit more into that.
It’s also fascinating applying some of the (lack of) logic for scoring teams here in 2002, to some of the insane (albeit better covered up) judging VM were up against through their career, even with a new system.
Ok. That’s my rant for the night xx

hi!! i liked your works a lot and i wanted to request f, j and o for akaashi and atsumu? thanks a lot <33
fluff alphabet f, j, and o for akaashi keiji and miya atsumu
a/n: ahh i hope these aren’t too long haha, thank you so much for requesting!! :))
Akaashi Keiji:
F = Feelings (When did they realize their feelings? How did it change their behavior towards you?)
Akaashi quietly observes you for a while
Your little tics and reactive expressions ingrain themselves into his brain until he can close his eyes and picture your face almost perfectly
You’re studying together one day, and it starts off with the standard frequent side glances and an endearing awkwardness
But at some point, he feels himself leaning towards you subconsciously
Not in an obvious way, Akaashi just suddenly felt the urge to scootch closer to you or maybe to brush away that stray piece of your hair that had come undone
He immediately jerks himself back with a mildly troubled look on his face (on the inside this man is having a whole-ass existential crisis)
You tilt your head as you glance at him, and that’s when he knows
Akaashi’s already familiar with your different expressions of annoyance, sadness, happiness, etc., but your face right now was so innocent and clueless and cute and precious - he just felt an overwhelming urge to tell you about all the warm, helpless feelings you give him
He doesn’t, of course, because Akaashi at least tries to plan these things out
His realization doesn’t change his behavior a lot (he’s as sarcastic, chill, and straightfoward as always), but he does start doting on you more
He asks if you got enough sleep last night, sometimes offers to share his lunch with you, even gives you his jacket when you were shivering a little
Pure boi just wants to take care of you; it makes him feel more connected and might just be how he hints at his feelings to you
J = Jealousy (What makes them jealous? How do they deal with jealousy?)
Normally a pretty chill dude that you wouldn’t think ever gets jealous
It’s true that Akaashi definitely has complete faith in you and knows you can handle yourself
He also tends to internalize when it comes to feelings like jealousy because he knows they’re not rational
But that still doesn’t stop him from paying extra attention when you’re talking to other guys
Frowning, he monitors your situation from a distance. You might think he’s not paying attention, but the moment he sees signs that you’re uncomfortable or that the other person is getting too comfortable with touching you, he intervenes
Akaashi’s got skills galore at interjecting himself into conversations, and now he’s calling upon all of them plus his passive aggresive expertise
“(Name), please introduce me to this person. As your boyfriend, I’d really like to know who your acquaintances are.”
Narrows his eyes at the other person when he says “acquaintance”
Highkey throwing all the shade right then, but even after you introduce him, he subtly ends the conversation and pulls you away (after which he feels much more relaxed and comfortable)
Basically admits it if you tease him for being jealous
“Yeah, I was. Is there a problem with me feeling protective of you, love?”
O = Over (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
If Akaashi at any point liked you enough to be in a relationship with you, he will hold that respect for you forever
Even if you made a mistake, he’ll continue to believe that you deserve a least an in-person meeting before breaking up
He thinks it over a lot before making the decision to break it off
This isn’t something he’d ever take lightly, and he’d use at least a good week to process and think about any alternatives
If there’s truly no other way, he’ll text you to meet him somewhere private, like a small cafe or secluded park
Akaashi tells you his intentions as soon as you arrive; there’s no point in dragging this out and hurting the both of you further
He’s very solemn as he tries to explain, and he tries to state his reasons as clearly as possible, but his mind is a whirlwind at that moment
Respectfully leaves after a few minutes, but when he gets to the car he can feel his eyes watering and hands shaking
Bokuto helps him a lot by keeping him active and engaged with his surroundings, but Akaashi can’t help but lie awake at night thinking about you
It’ll take him at least two or three weeks to start moving on in life, but he’ll always look back on the good times you two shared fondly
Atsumu Miya:
F = Feelings (When did they realize their feelings? How did it change their behavior towards you?)
I think his feelings will hit him all of a sudden
He’ll catch himself at home wondering what you’re doing at that moment
And Atsumu starts realizing that he thinks about you more than himself
He’s not used to thinking about anyone that’s not himself, his spikers, or (occasionally) Osamu
So maybe he sees you struggling with something and, after teasing you a little, he helps you
And when you thank him with a sweet smile, he actually feels himself blush
All he can think is just “oh hell no i cannot be a simp right now”
After that incident, Atsumu might avoid you for a bit (he sees you in the hallway and literally spins on his heel, running into the nearest room to keep cool)
But his sets are noticeably less focused than normal, and Osamu forces Atsumu to man up and talk to you
He becomes a little more conscious of what he says to you. You notice that his mocking insults are almost fond sounding now and that he backs off a lot quicker if he sees he hit something sensitive
He tells himself that it’ll help you feel the same way
Because if being more sensitive to your feelings could make you fall as hard for him as he did for you, then that’s what he’ll do
J = Jealousy (What makes them jealous? How do they deal with jealousy?)
He’s used to getting what he wants, and when you’re not paying attention to him, he’s not
Cue pouty Atsumu
It’s not that he doesn’t trust you, he just doesn’t like anyone other than him looking at you like that
Feels protective because he knows how amazing you are and how much you tempt him (and if he’s that affected by you, who knows what other people could be thinking about you?)
Like one time, he sees you talking with Osamu, and you have the brightest smile on your face that he absolutely adores... but it’s not directed at him
Clenching his jaw, he immediately storms up to you both and snakes his arms tightly around your body from behind
“Babee, pay attention to me...” Atsumu directs a withering glare at his twin, “‘Samu, get outta here!”
If he feels threatened because a stranger is talking to you, he’ll be less kind (he might get triggered because you started blushing or maybe there was some kind of physical touch involved, which can be as minor as a touch to the shoulder, but Atsumu is not about it)
Straight up stalks over to you both, placing an arm aggresively over your shoulder
“Hey, who’s this?? Actually nahh, it doesn’t matter because he’s insignificant~ C’mere babe, let’s go. Bye now, stranger!”
O = Over (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
Hm... Atsumu might send a break-up text idk :p
But more likely he’ll give you a call
I just feel like he might be too emotional to do it in person
Depending on his reasons, maybe he’s scared that he might snap at you and leave you feeling like trash (because no matter what the reasons are, he never wants to lash out at you like that)
So he sends a warning text like “we have to talk about something serious” and then call so he can at least break the news with his own voice
Atsumu’s words might come off nonchalant and almost harsh, but it’s accidental; it’s kind of a defense mechanism
He doesn’t want to hurt you, but he’s also so close to a mental breakdown that he can’t figure out how to break things off earnestly without becoming a crying, blubbering mess
So his words can seem cold, especially when you’re in such a fragile emotional state
But he stays on the line with you for as long as you need, silent as you express your emotions as freely as you want
But if you cry a lot, or your voice is really shaky, this man probably starts tearing up along with you
Just a mutual crying fest by the end, but Atsumu’s still not the type to change his mind unfortunately
He would’ve had to believe his reasons 100% to think about breaking things off with you
Still, he’s depressed and grumpy for the couple weeks after
Gets a little (read: a lot) bitter if someone happens to mention you
Volleyball helps him immensely during this time
He throws himself into improving his setting and techniques, rep after rep
Atsumu tries to avoid all thoughts related to you because they never fail to make his chest hurt
In the end, he knows it was his own decision so he tries hard to move on

My art progression as showcased through dragons as I avoid doing schoolwork:
2014: I had recently received a digital tablet. Promptly made drawings of long-haired people from behind because I hated drawing humans, and also loved backgrounds and animals more. I do everything on one layer because I’m a child who just transferred over from paper. Probably didn’t even know what a layer was. I exclusively drew dragons (and most everything) in profile. 8/10: I actually had awesome style as a teenager and these are definitely dragons. Storytelling also on point. Everything is a little stiff though.
(cont. under cut)
2014 (part 2): A gigantic leap as I figure out how the heck to color digitally in a way that’s not purely airbrushing everything in. Bright colors show up. I still draw humans flat and as minor details. Animals are still my best friends. Everything becomes absurdly long and angular for far too long starting from here. 5/10: Awkward and lanky. And my mountains got worse, lost all sense of texture and style. There’s no emotion.
2015: Everything is fuzzy. I am obsessed with trying to capture texture but I’m also a teenager and do not know how to capture texture. I also discovered the beauty of making OCs that have weird weird colors and designs. Background creatures remain to be weird sketchy things because I still don’t use base sketches for backgrounds. 3/10: proportions got weird again and the wings are a gigantic downgrade from 2014 me.
2015 (part 2): I continue to be a teenager obsessed with texture and playing with weird settings in digital art. I learn what layers are and why they’re helpful. I exclusively use this knowledge for separating background from foreground. 1/10: He has no legs and no personality and I didn’t know what I was doing. The initial paper drawing was better.
2016: This is for a biology project where we made up our own creatures.... I personally am not sure if I count this as a dragon. I get into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and everything becomes cute and fluffy, what can I say. I also learned I’m allowed to not use the default canvas and change it. IDK I start drawing After the Fall‘s early concept art and superhero ocs. There’s a distinct lack of normal dragons. 5/10: It feels more like Modern Me and the personality has returned, but also it’s also unsure if this counts as a dragon or a weird bat creature.
2017: I am still obsessed with my superhero ocs, but I’ve given some of them a dragon friend. I also draw almost exclusively in character-only style and the once prominent backgrounds dwindle to nothingness. dragons gain actual scale texture and I still do everything on only 2 layers. My humans are prominent but long, unusual beanpoles. 10/10: I still love this dragon baby and this is an excellent showcase of personal artistic growth. Look at his innocent little face. He’s got personality and is 100% a dragon.
2018: I begin to use layers more thoughtfully, and even tried making a “lighting” layer. I decide this is a bad idea. This marks the start of the Ombre Wings which remains present in the Daydream AU. People remain lanky and perspective is also wonky. This also marks the end of an era, as I abandon all my superheros due to my co-creator/partner dumping me. 5/10: The lighting got worse from every version before. Also all definition in my backgrounds disappeared... why.
2018 (part 2): I get a tumblr and get into Sanders Sides. I make the Daydream au. Virgil is the first non-furry dragon I make with ears??? I abandon trying to draw scale textures for working on perspective and lighting. Shading gets a little flatter again, but I’m also more mindful of actual lighting sources, so it’s forgivable. Dragons return to being Very Big in comparison to people. 8/10: Good memories. The start of an era. Most consistently I’d drawn dragons in a while at this point in time.
2019: Cartoon big eyes become the Standard. Things have started to become very flowy and soft. I draw a lot of babies which translates to everyone becoming a bit stockier in adult versions too. (This is good because everyone stopped being weirdly long). I add sprinkles of scale-shading back in. Looking back, claws begin to be more paw-like than actual claws in comparison to 2017′s lizard-y claws. 9/10: Designs are on Point and expressions are getting real nice. I’ve finally figured out how to lock and shade layers. Also Babies.
2020: I’ve got AtF going again, and I branch back into making non-scaled dragons. Texture is a Thing, and I make a lot of digital brushes for textures I use a lot. I start using my new coloring technique more regularly. 9/10: about the same since 2019 dragons-wise, but the process has gotten smother and faster. The point off is both an attempt at pretending to be humble while also being aware that my art will change no matter what, and I will think that is better so that potential is There (except for 2017. That’s perfection. The most adorable dragon I’ve ever drawn.)
2021: Despite the fact I’ve gotten really into DnD and despite Dragons being in the name, I have not drawn barely any DnD dragons. There are no colored dragon drawings in the first 2 months of 2021 and this is a flaw. -10/10: no dragons.

Sans Tutorial?
Last year someone sent an ask for a tutorial about how I draw Sans, but I have been pretty busy and not gotten around to making it! I don’t know how helpful this will be, because it turns out my technique is basically:
1. draw a circle
2. draw the rest of the skeleton
But anyway, I’ll post the steps for this picture here :3
I have picked up some good tips from tutorials but I don’t use them very much because some are too basic, some are too advanced, some are written too proscriptively, and usually the example art looks way better than what I’m doing if I follow along. So my tips may be a mix of too-obvious and not-adequately-explained, but perhaps a few beginner or intermediate level artists will find something useful here :3 I will assume you know what layers are and have software that can do layers. I use Paint Tool SAI, which is pretty affordable, and there are other programs that are free.
First I draw a circle where I want the skull to be. I don’t necessarily stick with this circle as I continue sketching. And one of the advantages of drawing digitally is that I can move parts around if it’s not working. If I’m planning out a complex picture, Sans will be a circle with two more circles for eyes and a vague cylinder/blob as a body, at first.
Then sketch in more detail. Fingers are important, and I often have to go back and refine the sketch of the hands in the middle of doing the lineart.
There are many different and valid styles for drawing Sans. I always draw his eyes as this sort of arch-like shape, like a half circle that’s stretched out vertically. Even if they’re half-lidded, I start with the whole eye shape (and if they’re half closed they tend to end up pretty rectangular).
In this picture, I made his legs too short, then too long, and you can see some artifacts of how they got moved around and adjusted. (I pretty much never draw him just standing there in full-body, I guess owo) It’s much easier to adjust things in a sketch than after it’s been lined, so take your time. If I wasn’t feeling confident, or if I wanted to make the linework easier, or if I wanted someone to approve the picture before I did lines, I would do another, more-refined sketch on top of this one. But I’ve been drawing a lot of Sanses over the past few years so I didn’t :3 I do have a brush for sketches that is not totally opaque.
(Beginner tip: If you’re using a serious art program, you can reduce the opacity of the sketch layer and draw the next sketch in a new layer on top. This is how you’ll do the linework too. I also put Sans’s legs on a separate layer when I was adjusting them in this pic. This is also a good time to adjust the framing of the picture; I usually drew it too small and off-center. This pic is a bit off-center because I thought I might add text on the right side about the steps. But then I didn’t.)
Next is lines. In Paint Tool SAI, I can have multiple layers in a folder and select the whole folder as “selection source” (so I can fill in the colors later). This makes it easy to use a Lineart layer for the smooth curve of Sans’s skull, and a regular Raster layer for the rest of the lines. Of course, make sure the line width is similar. (Being able to choose a selection source other than “current layer” or “whole image” is one of the advantages of SAI in my experience.)
I used thin lines here. I don’t always, but sometimes I try to use thin lines and add plenty of detail and I’m pretty pleased with it. (Often if I want to save some energy I use thicker, rough-textured lines, so that you won’t be able to tell so much where I got the curve of the skull wrong and then adjusted it.) When I first started drawing Sans, I gave him too many teeth. Then I overcompensated and gave him too few teeth. Now I’ve settled on about this many teeth. I like to draw bony, skeletal hands. For any bones, Google image search is your friend. You don’t need to know the proper name of the bone; just search for the body area + bones. I usually draw the nose hole a bit more simplified. I don’t always bother with the drawstring. Sometimes I give him a turtleneck sweater so I don’t have to draw a glimpse of collarbone, ribs, spine inside his shirt. Idk why his tibiae are so thick today owo
Flat colors and cel shading. I like to put a bright color that contrasts with the colors I’m using in the background, so I can easily see corners that got missed by the fill tool. Usually, I do multiple layers of the base colors, so that I won’t have to worry about the edges when shading. (All the color layers are collected in a folder. Not the bg though; if it’s complex it will have its own folder.) Here, I used a shading layer for each base color layer (the shading layer is a clipping layer, so the shade color won’t be visible unless it’s overlapping its correct base color). I don’t like to be organized and label my layers, so I do the shading right after the base color, while I still remember what layer it’s on :3 You can also do the flat colors on one layer (or just in one folder) and then put a multiply or shading layer as a clipping layer over that for the shading (many fewer layers to deal with but you must pay more attention to the staying inside the lines). Aside from the sketches, I still haven’t used any brush other than the default pen. You can of course use more layers and more colors for fancier cel shading. I have used a few extra darker shades on Sans’s neck.
More shading. I usually choose between cel-shading and more shading, but I tried adding a little bit more here since it’s a tutorial. It doesn’t make a huge difference though; if I hadn’t done cel-shading, I would have made the blendy shading stand out more. You can do each color individually (here’s a tutorial about that), but you can also make a clipping layer over all the colors (flat colors on one layer or all the color layers in a folder) and make it a multiply or shade layer, and shading for all the colors there. I like to fill in this shading layer with white so it blends more between the light and dark. This is also a great technique for adding shading to something that has a pattern on its surface (e.g. you can add fur texture to your rainbow cat without painting the texture in every color of the rainbow). This is where I use brushes I adapted myself or stole from other artists :3 and another place where SAI has an advantage because it’s specifically designed to be good at painting. I lightened the background and added a little shadow (blurred with the watercolor brush).
Extra cross-hatchy lines. When I do thin lines, I like to add these lines as a little extra shading/detail. I usually do them before color, and on a separate layer so I can keep them out of the “selection source” when filling in flat colors. This time I did them at the end. They add a little texture to everything and I think they work well on the hand bones.

I added double doors and put a gable over it. It brought up the whole scale of the house.''Now, Farzan has a tall, stucco entryway that recedes from his semicircular driveway on Winnetka Drive. The spacious enclosure is illuminated by a fancy hanging fixture.Soodul of Woodland Hills took a more drastic but needed approach by building a new entryway to his 1972 home. Genn staging an attack on the Horde fleet is of course more important. From the horde storyline an impending faction war or tension between the factions was obvious from the beginning. It not my fault that Blizzard butchered BfA, but the faction war was clearly hinted from the start. Any of the clickbaity ones, the ones that are all OMG U NEED THIS PRODUCT/TECHNIQUE IT WILL CHANGE UR LYFE! Stephanie lange comes to mind. Not a fan of RBK too. Also i tried to watch Alanna Davison but the weird voice modulation thing she does throughout the videos turned me right off. Hey, I'm you two years in the future. Let me tell you, holy shit. It's been an absolute eye opening experience. Perhaps a teacher at the local high school would be willing to help guide you and edit your work. Write about what you know and that for which you have passion. I am happy to assist any way 과천출장샵 I can. I love exploration but I'm scared we'll fuck it up somehow. To boot, the ocean especially is difficult because of how active it is. A sandy hill isn't going anywhere but a drone in the ocean will be moved a lot by currents, especially with Europa being a lot farther away than Mars, it's potentially a 50 minute travel time for a signal to get there (or here). For instance, at my local store they will occasionally have 10 lb bags of chicken quarters (the legs and thighs) for $6.50. That meat for $0.65 a lb! Cheap staples to me are potatoes, canned tomatoes, eggs, cheap chicken and pork shoulder, and dried beans/lentils. After that, yogurt, coffee, milk, oats, and whatever produce you can find at a good price. I think it helps with getting those keywords in without having to write a massive description with flowery wording, lol. I do add some more keywords in the description like this one I say it flattering, stretchy, comfy, etc. IDK if anyone searches for those things but figured I add it anyway.. Oh yeah, when I got into makeup taupe eyeshadow was The Thing. Everyone had a million different shades of taupe, so 과천출장샵 I bought them too. Turns out, they don look great on me. It stopped bunching after the 3rd or 4th time). My skin is smoother and less flaky/dry after using it, so I do think it doing what I expect it to do. I use a Taiwanese brand that called Envie de Neuf, and even though I can be sure that it all dead skin, I can say that it not the product balling up.What you do to test is you use it once on whatever skin area, wash it off, and then use it a second time on the same skin area. When I try this with the Envie de Neuf peeling gel, the first time the product balls up as it is supposed to, but the second time round the product doesn ball at all and remains in gel form no matter how I massage it in. No one is perfect, everyone is flawed but the least they could do is when they make a mistake is to apologise (it's up to those affected whether they forgive or not), own up to it, and help educate people why the things they did are hurtful. They do not need to add negativity to the world that already feels so divided. They have a platform, use it for greatness.

{{ Book Talk: The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window
This question on Goodreads sums up my thoughts.
I don’t know what to say about this book or why I started to read it. I just did when I was looking for The Raven Cycle ‘cause I have a ridiculous crush on a character I don’t even know yet. Ronan.
Anyway, this fucking book. I thought it was like, fanfiction at first. It is certainly written that way. There is such a huge overuse of “he smirked/smirks” and “she smirked/smirks” and other cliche phrases, I’m going to throw up. There’s also an over abundance of the main character, Amber Something, calling other girls whores and sluts and basically slut shaming them for dressing how they want to dress--FOR WHICH THERE IS NO DRESS CODE AT SCHOOL, I GUESS. One of the instances of Amber describing a girl’s skirt was that it fit like a belt or something. Another instance is her putting down other girls for being loose, for wanting to have sex with her brother and his best friend. For being bimbos and ho’s and having no self-respect because apparently this author wrote every fucking woman in her school like this. EVERY WOMAN AT AMBER’S SCHOOL (EXCEPT FOR AMBER) WAS A THIRSTY SLUT OR A BITCH OR A HO after her brother and his best friend’s junk. They literally threw themselves at them, were incredibly bold with their flirtations like touching and grabbing them all the time. Like, these ladies were written desperately thirsty, I felt bad for them. All because the author wanted to portray Amber in a more angelic light or what?
Speaking of, her main love interest gave her the nickname Angel.
Oh, by the way. She slut shames her main love interest, Liam James, too. I only know his goddamn name because everyone calls him by his fucking whole name, like constantly. Don’t get me wrong, I guess he’s some sort of man-whore because he openly flirts with these girls right back so I suppose if she’s going to be calling the women sluts and whores, I’m glad she also calls Liam out for acting the same way??? So does Amber’s brother, Jake, and he’s known to have slept around, etc, etc. Basically everyone but Amber is a big ol’ slut.
Don’t even get me started on how Amber decides to take part of this stupid ass bet to “nail” Liam because he announced he had a girlfriend and ALL THE OTHER GIRLS IN SCHOOL WANT HIM. His fucking pot was raised to 4,000 dollars or something outrageous like that. 20 bucks per girl. They put in 20 dollars EACH into the pot to see who can convince him to virtually cheat on his girlfriend. Which, at this point, is Amber. 4000 dollars. 20per girl. i suck at doing math but is that like 200 girls??? IS THAT RIGHT? DID I DO MY MATHR IGHT? 200 GIRLS ARE AFTER LIAM’S ASS.
I honestly don’t know where to start with this.
I mean, I can start with how it feels incredibly juvenile. Amateurish. Half-finished? There seems to be a lot of details missing in between scenes and the scenes themselves are short as fuck. The transitions are incredibly sloppy, one second Amber is in her bathroom and the next she’s in school.
Can I also note how her eight year old dialogue was incredibly strange. It felt like an older person was talking.
A few more points:
1) she doesn’t want to tell anyone they’re dating. she makes liam wait like 2 weeks to break the news to her overprotective big brother (by two years because they’re both 18 and she’s 16).
2) her best friend magically finds this out because i guess she just does. and all of a sudden she went from thirsty ass bff to supportive ass bff and stops trying to nail Liam AND jake. wait no, she’s still trying to fuck amber’s brother.
3) she’s somehow emo. idk. she wears dark clothing and all the other “sluts” at school call her emo. and how liam will never be into her.
4) liam went from biggest fucking vagina humper to absolutely cult-like dedicated to amber like as soon as they shared their first kiss. i guess that’s sort of sweet if he weren’t a total fuckboy. he said he had been in love with her since he was six??? (which was make her 4 or something) and only slept around with all those women because he figured he’d just fall in love with someone else. he couldn’t have a chance with her because her brother forbid it.
5) brother eventually finds out and comes around like in a manner of minutes. found out because liam and amber have some sort of special technique he uses whenever amber has some sort of anxiety attack about her dad.
6) SPEAKING OF, HER DAD ALMOST RAPED HER when she was like 13.. or idk. something like that. sundays were usually reserved for “special” times when he’d touch her or whatever. basically dad is an abusive assfuck. jake and liam came home early from some kind of hockey game, saw the scene and apparently beat the shit out of the dad.
7) dont even know the extent of how far she was molested because she never fucking talked about it. im opting to believe it was that one instance and she was just milking it. idk.
8) for as much as she went around in the first few chapters of the book saying how much she hated liam, how much she called him a man-slut, etc etc and being mean to him because oh he annoys her sooo much, he’s sooo mean, etc etc, she’s absolutely in love with him even though she’s finding reasons ...not to be. thinking he might cheat on her, get fed up with amber wanting to wait because she’s not letting him have sex yet. mainly because no one else but her mom, jake, and liam can touch her, ever, without her freaking out about it. but in the span of these few chapters ive read, two strangers have kissed her twice now.
8a) first time, liam had to save her because she was drunk and blah blah blah. second time, she was openly flirting with a guy who was all, “i bet if i kiss you i can change your mind about wanting to go out with me” and she was all “i bet you 20 bucks you can’t and also i will kick you in the balls if you try” and what the fuck happened? he kissed her. she kicked him in the balls. liam’s like “that’s my girl” as the dude comes back limping into the room and hands her a 20.
9) “I’d wanted her for so long that I was a little worried that if I ever did get her, that she would never be able to live up to what I had imagined.“ CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THIS MEANS because to me, Liam saying this about Amber makes me feel like this can almost be an insult lmfao.
10) AND THIS IS THE SEX SCENE, FINALLY BTW:
“You are so beautiful, Angel,” I whispered. She smiled and gripped her hand around the back of my head, guiding my mouth back to hers. I felt my heart swell as I kissed her passionately, showing her just how much I loved and cherished her before I prepared myself to make love to her for the first time.
I smoothed her hair away from her sweaty forehead. She was grinning at me and looked so happy it made my heart skip a beat. “I love you, Angel.” We laid there trying to slow our heart beats. I pressed my face into the crook of her neck kissing her, feeling her rapid pulse under my lips. I felt happier than I had ever felt in my life. After a minute or so, I pulled out of her and rolled to my side. I tightened my arms on her, pulling her close to me, trailing my fingers over her naked, sweaty body, lingering on her breasts. “I’m sorry I hurt you,” I said quietly. I felt awful that I was the one to have to cause her pain, but I guess every girl had to go through that the first time.
Did this author really write “after a minute or so”? I was like, where’s the penetration? I had NO idea they were fucking until he pulled out... A MINUTE LATER.
11) everyone must be a goddamn cat or something because there’s a lot of seductive purring. and I ran into this hilarious count in a review:
Wink count: 48
Purr count: 37
Smirk count: 74
Flirt count: 38
Ass count: 91 (this one was the most annoying...everyone calls each other "hot ass" "sexy ass" "fine ass" nonstop throughout the entire book)
there is plenty more i can say about this train wreck but i think, above all, i was just... surprised it was like... PEOPLE LIKED THIS?? it even had this little thing at the end of the summary:
The international bestselling novel, and finalist of the Goodreads choice awards YA fiction 2012.
like... what... how can people pump out novels like 50 Shades and this mess and I can’t fucking finish a chaptered story? some of the answers answering that question i had tacked on above surprised me too. people were calling it “realistic” -- i had to roll my eyes. there has been no realistic part of this story since i started reading it.
if it were, vampires would exist and they’d sparkle in the goddamn sunlight. frankly, we’d all have our Christian Grey by now, too.
and every time he called her Angel, i just imagined this:
youtube
thank you and goodnight.

My Messy Artist
Jughead x Reader
MASTERLIST
Requested: Anonymous- Can you do an imagine where jughead is fond of a art student?? And he's kinda shy about it?
A/N: okay so I’m thinking of posting twice a week now because I liked posting on Wednesday idk, what do you guys think?
Words: 3027
Warnings: N/A
I sat alone in the art class swirling one of my paint brushes in a clean glass of water trying to think of something to paint for my last portfolio piece. I had to come back after school to paint and draw for my portfolio because it was considered an outside project by the school because I was only a sophmore so most days I stayed after school and spent my afternoons painting and drawing.
Usually I start right away but today I had run out of ideas so I sat in front of my easel mixing paint colors and stirring the water in my glass, trying to think of something to paint. I suddenly jumped at the sound of the door slamming open, "Geez," I said before turning in my seat to see who had caused the huge commotion, "Want to pick up the door there buddy?" I chuckled as the boy stood there looking quite sheepish.
"Sorry, I didn't think anyone would be in here." He chuckled nervously, "Do you know if I can find tape in here?" He said quickly before I could answer his first sentence.
"Depends, you're not going to use it for anything kinky are you?" I smirked and hopped off my seat in search for tape.
"Oh with who?" He smirked and followed behind me, "You and I are the only ones here, everyone has left." He said watching me pull boxes off the shelves and rummage through them.
"So what do you need it for?" I said after a few moments of silence as I concentrated on trying to find the tape so he could leave and I could start my painting.
"Don't freak out," he pulled a box out and peered into it, "but it's for a murder board in the school's newspaper room."
I looked up slowly and eyed him carefully, "So you're the guy that is constantly writing about that Jason kid and not actually addressing the tragic shortage of tater tots in the cafeteria!"
"Yes and yes." He said nervously then started to smile when looked up and saw me smiling.
"I don't think there's tape," I huffed and put my box back on the shelf, "it honestly doesn't surprise me, it's end of term, we barely have pencils left. I can bring you tape tomorrow if you're really desperate?" I watched as he slid the box he was busy with back on the shelf.
"No it's fine, I'll get some from home." He sighed, "Sorry about earlier..." he grimaced as he looked over at the door remembering the embarrassing moment, "Didn't mean to distract you from your..."
"Painting." I finished his sentence as he chuckled and made to leave, "Wait, don't go, please. It gets really boring and lonely in here." I said just before he got to the door.
He turned and smiled "I thought you'd never ask." He took a stool from one of the other easels and pulled it next to mine, "Well aren't you going to join me?" He chuckled and motioned for me to sit in my seat.
A huge smile broke onto my face as an idea sparked in my head, "Actually, no." I said with a wide grin which made him cock an eyebrow at me. I walked over to the easel and moved it slightly to the side. Once I finished adjusting the easel I held out a hand for him which he took almost too willingly, I pulled him into the centre of the room and smiled, liking how my plan was working so far. "Where's you stool?" I frowned suddenly then looked behind me and sighed as I turned to fetch it for him.
"Thought you wanted me to keep you company?" He said with a frown as I walked back to him and passed over his seat, he sat down and watched me at I examined how the light fell on him.
"Yes, but then I decided you can be my first model for a portrait in my portfolio." I smiled and put my finger under his chin making him look up slightly which made the light from the window catch every fine detail. "I know it's intimidating," I chuckled and walked to the light switch and flipped it so the window provided the only light in the room, "but try keep that position, you can move but when I look at you, sit exactly like that." He nodded then chuckled once I had sat down. "What?" I said with another smile breaking onto my face.
"I just thought all my life that I would be the guy staring at the naked woman laying there as I pretended to paint," He laughed as he spoke, "this is very different from my expectations."
Well, wait, what's your name?" I said at I looked back at him as I sketched a rough outline.
"Uh, Jughead." He said and went back to his position as I studied him further.
"Well Jughead, can I enlighten you on how art really is?" I said with amusement lacing my words.
"If you have to," he groaned playfully and rolled his eyes, "I mean you've already in prisoned me in here, so why don't you ruin my art room fantasies too." I looked at him again to see if he was being serious but he had a huge smirk playing on his face.
I chuckled and shook my head before carrying on, “The only reason all the guys are staring at the model’s boobs is because they are trying to get their shading right, the model is probably wondering when she can take another bathroom break and some weirdo is staring her right in the face because they’ve done one eye and now the pressure on.” I finished off sketching the basic shapes and leant to the side grabbing a thick brush to start off the background. “I also have nude painting is not that common in high schools, as you could probably guess.” I said trying to stifle a giggle causing Jughead to laugh.
“Well I guess that’s a good thing because I can barely draw a stickman.” He chuckled which made the corners of his eyes crease and his smile grow even wider.
I spent the next hour explaining different techniques and styles to him and teaching hi the names of different shades of colours in exchange for his never ending knowledge of old movies and comics. I had finished the background and started painting his shirt and jacket by the time the sun started moving behind the building. I finished painting his collar before sitting back and examining my work as Jug fiddled with one of the screws on a nearby easel while he kept jabbering about his favourite film. I looked up at him and sighed in satisfaction causing a curiosity to spark in him, he climbed off his high stool and rushed eagerly to my side to see the work for himself.
His brows furrowed together when he stood next to me but they soon relaxed “You didn’t finish?” I looked at him and chuckled, “No Jug, it’s going to take more than one afternoon to finish.”
He pouted playfully, “I wanted to see my gorgeous face in art form!” he whined and pretended to throw a tantrum.
"Well I guess you'll have to keep me company tomorrow afternoon then." I said with a smirk which made a bright smile grow on his face.
He chuckled and watched me pack my paints away "Okay, see you tomorrow..."
"Y/N," I giggled as I walked to the sink to tip out the jar of now dark grey water.
"Y/N." he said with a wink and waved while he slipped out the door as I washed of my pallets shaking my head at his shenanigans.
JUGHEAD
I hadn’tseen Y/N the next day until lunch, she sat next to a girl a few tables down, straight in front of me. I couldn't stop staring, she was the most gorgeous girl I had ever met and holy fuck was she cute.
Betty and I were brainstorming new ideas for the paper when she sat down, I had watched her enter the room and effortlessly make her way to a table next to a few of the other cheerleaders and some kids from my English and Maths class. Her vibrant presence radiated through the cafeteria making the air feel a lot less suppressive.
Betty looked behind her when she saw I had stopped listening to her and my concentration was elsewhere. A small smirk was plastered on her face when she turned back to me, “Checking out the cheerleaders Jug?" I shook my head slowly as I kept my eyes locked on her watching her every move. Betty frowned and watched me for a second, "Are you looking at Rachel?" She hushed not wanting tables near us to hear because Rachel had been rumors going around.
“God no.” I groaned and looked down at my food, she watched me and raised her eyebrows questionably indicating me to carry on. “It’s Y/N…” I mumbled and brushed my hair back.
“Y/N Y/L/N!” She squealed making Veronica look over at us suddenly very interested.
“What’s happening?” Veronica chuckled and turned her attention to Betty and I.
“Juggie’s got a crush!” Betty squealed, “Y/N!”
“The art kid?” Veronica questioned and turned in her seat to see her.
“If you two tell a soul.” I warned making Veronica cheer as she realized she was right, “Guys, I’m being serious.” I said when they wouldn’t stop giggling.
“Oh my word! This is adorable!” Betty exclamation to Veronica who was agreeing to anything she said at that point.
“Girls keep it down!” I hushed and glared at them in fear someone would hear.
“Aw, Jug, are you embarrassed?” Veronica smirked and nudged Betty making her join in on her giggles.
“You two are the definition of evil.” I groaned and carried on eating, glancing over at her every now and then.
“Hey Y/N.” I huffed as I dropped my backpack at my feet once I had entered.
“Hi!” She called from the sink across the room, “Are you ready?” She said with a smirk plastered on her face, “Today should be fun, a lot of sitting still.”
“Oh, my favorite.” I said sarcastically as I pulled one of the stools over to the spot making sure it was positioned properly, “At least I have my art room fantasy to think about.” I said with a chuckle before looking up to see her shaking her head. I walked over to see her washing brushes and palettes.”
“I just had a lesson,” She said answering my thoughts, “I need to clean all this before I start the other painting.” She was dipping the brushes into a jar and swirling them until most of the colour had dissolved into the liquid and then she rinsed them under the tap.
“Why don’t you just use the tap?” I grabbed a handful of brushes and walking to the other side of her so I could help.
As I went to dip a brush in the jar she put her hand on mine, pulling it back in a panic, “Careful, that’s paint thinners, it’ll burn you.” She scolded as if I was too important to be burnt.
“Oh,” I said and pulled my hand away before pulling my sleeve up then going ahead and cleaning the brush, “why do you use paint thinners then?”
“Well I used oil paint in class earlier and it’s easier to use paint thinners to clean the brushes, it also ensures the paint doesn’t dry in the bristles.” She explained as she cleaned each brush with a great care in every stage of her system. “Jug, please be careful. I know you’re not eight but I really don’t want you to burn yourself.” She whined as she watched me swirling a brush in the jar of thinners.
“Y/N I’m a strapping young man, I can handle some burns if something happens. I should be the one worrying about you anyways!” I fought back and watched as she rinsed off the last few brushes. She rolled her eyes and took the brush I had just cleaned and placed it on the side so it could dry with the rest.
“I’m fine! I just don’t want you getting hurt.” She insisted as she wiped her hands off on a towel, finally done washing brushes. She took the jar of thinners screwing the lid on and placing it on a high shelf above the sink before making her way to the easel she had used yesterday and adjusting it slightly. “You can do whatever for now, I just need to set up.” She told me as she walked over to a table grabbing tubes of paint and a new set of brushes, she placed them on a side table by her easel then walked to the sink and filled a old pickle jar with water and took it back to her spot.
I sat on my assigned stool watching her walk up and down the room retrieving all her things so she could start working on her painting. As my eyes followed her they caught two figures standing by the door, Betty and Veronica. My eyes widened once I had recognized them, they were giggling and making faces at me as they watched through the window in the door. “I’ll be right back Y/N/N.” I said slipping of my seat and stumbling for the door as she called out and okay. “What the hell are you two doing.” I whisper shouted and pulled them to the side so Y/N wouldn’t see us.
“Aww Juggie, you’re so cute.” Ronnie commented, not even answering my question, “You’re going to ask her out right?” She said with hopeful eyes.
“Please ask her to dinner at Pop’s!” Betty whined and pouted her bottom lip.
“Guys, it’s not like that.” I huffed and pulled a hand through my fringe.
“Juggie you two look like lovesick puppies!” Ronnie argued back as Betty nodded along agreeing with her.
“But what if she says no?” I asked quietly not wanting people around us to hear, “I mean it’s Y/N and I’m Jughead?”
“She wouldn’t say no, she clearly enjoys having Jughead around” Ronnie said softly then paused and watched me, “Just give it a go.” I sighed and answered an okay before I made my way to the door and looked back at both of them.
“Good luck Jug.” Betty chuckled as Veronica gave me a smile, I just shook my head and pushed the door open and slipped inside.
“Everything okay?” Y/N said without turning to face me as she sat in front of the canvas.
“Yeah, just checking up on my math homework.” I said quickly not having a better excuse come to mind, “Are we going to start?” I added on wanting to change the topic of conversation.
“Yep! Just hop onto your stool there.” She pointed to the stool with the brush in her hand. “Jug today I really need you to stay in your position as much as possible because I need to get the right shades and stuff and then Monday afternoon we can do the face detail and then we’re basically done.” She clapped at the end of her sentence with a huge smile forming on her lips.
“No problem, I’d sit here all day if you told me to.” I chuckled and smugly grinned while watching her laugh and shake her head.
She got of her seat bringing a pallet and brush along with her, “I need to try match your skin tone.” She informed me, “I’m really bad at trying to guess.” She giggled and mixed a bit of blue with a dull peach.
“I can assure you I’m not blue.” I said matter of factly making her roll her eyes.
She painted a streak of the colour she had just mixed onto the back of her and and held it next to my cheek, “It’s your undertone you idiot.” She chuckled and furrowed her eyebrows as she pulled her hand away from my cheek and added more yellow to the mix and painted another streak and comparing it to my cheek again. She compared a few streaks of paint before she walked back, satisfied with her decision.
“So Y/N,” I said after she had sat down and started painting for a minute or two.
“Mhm?” She hummed as she concentrated, her tongue sticking out slightly as she leaned closer to the canvas to do the edges of my face.
“It’s Friday, do you have any plans for this weekend.” I said hoping she wouldn’t get the wrong idea but she kept concentrating on her painting.
“No not really.” She said looking at me as she rinsed a brush off and picked up one of the thicker ones. “Why?” She said furrowing her eyebrows as she leant in again making sure she didn’t mess up.
“Was kind of wondering if you maybe wanted to have dinner with me tonight?” I said and twirled a piece of my fringe nervously.
She looked up and saw that I wasn’t joking, a huge smile grew on her face, “Of course!” She exclaimed and hopped off her stool and rushed over to me hugging me before I could even think about doing something. “You’re so cute.” She mumbled into my shoulder as she hugged me further, I chuckled and draped my arms around her watching the smile never leave her face. I looked up, a movement catching my attention, it was Veronica and Betty cheering and giving each other high fives from outside the class, I scolded them making them scurry off down the hallway.
“How’s about we pack up for today so you can wash up before dinner?” I said pointing to the splotches of paint marking her arms and hands.
She giggled then looked at me, “I’m a messy artist.”
“You’re my messy artist.” I said pulling her in for another hug before helping her pack up all the paints and brushes.

yo dynamic poses?? expressions?? shapes and lines?? good pencil drawings?? please,, how??
ah man idk! its true but not super helpful to say its just about drawing a lot…i know other Real Artists can give advice abt practices and exercises & other things that are more specific and concrete. but honestly i dont do that stuff, i just draw when i have an idea and happen to feel like / be able to draw….and even if its hard to feel like your own stuff is good, its still kinda fun to look back on things from even a couple of months ago & see how you’ve already changed ur style/technique in a few subtle ways. i’m just out here focusing on portraying gay emotions & my sole motivation to Get Good at any particular artistic element is mostly to specifically support that goal. whatever you like to portray in your art, you can probably find ways to bolster that by getting better at any particular Art Element…..composition / coloring / lighting / shading / different mediums / anatomy / perspective / whatever theres like a ton of different devices lmao……and luckily “i drew this this way coz it was easier for me / i didnt wanna bother with ____” is an important artistic element too
basically idk just drawing more things automatically makes you better, i get curious abt trying new things / wanting to learn how to do something for the sake of using it as a tool on my path to doing something gay….plus part of it is just that i’m always a bit annoyed abt not being able / knowing how to do something, even if its completely irrelevant to me. smh. but i just draw a lot whenever i have something i wanna draw for & eventually get less crap at stuff. and when some element of drawing gets easier and more second nature for you, it also gets easier to move on to practicing some other new element and struggling with that instead in an eternal cycle lol rip
#ppl asking me abt my Drawing Techniques or whatever is always beyond my wildest dreams...#but i feel likefor the last few asks ive gotten abt it i only manage to give tbe most vague and unhelpful answers lmao (╥﹏╥)

Merge Dragons Cheats
Merge Dragons Guide
Merge Dragons guide has been launched. It is extra similar to a "right" puzzle game, sponsored up by means of some freemium fashion elements, together with your capacity to build a camp. The entirety feels much greater alive than you'll count on from some thing of this style, and Merge Dragons! Truly advantages from it. Whilst Merge Dragons! Is going to take a while in an effort to really get your head around it, it's a amusing curiosity. You may need to analyze greater about it and spot simply how a ways you may move. Being able to see things improve and change earlier than your eyes makes a key difference in breathing new existence into a fairly stale style. If there was only a little more room at your camp or an easier way of obtaining the room so you could keep those chests until you may open them, i would like that. Or a manner of consolidating them for a one of a kind prize or something would also be welcome. Calls for ios 9.zero or later. Well suited with iphone 5s, iphone 6, iphone 6 plus, iphone 6s, iphone 6s plus, iphone se (1st technology), iphone 7, iphone 7 plus, iphone 8, iphone eight plus, iphone x, iphone xs, iphone xs max, iphone xr, iphone 11, iphone 11 seasoned, iphone 11 seasoned max, iphone se (2d era), ipad air, ipad air wi‑fi + mobile, ipad mini 2, ipad mini 2 wi‑fi + mobile, ipad air 2, ipad air 2 wi‑fi + mobile, ipad mini three, ipad mini three wi‑fi + cellular, ipad mini 4, ipad mini four wi‑fi + mobile, ipad pro (12.9‑inch), ipad seasoned (12.nine‑inch) wi-fi + mobile, ipad pro (9.7‑inch), ipad pro (9.7‑inch) wi‑fi + cell, ipad (fifth technology), ipad (fifth generation) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad seasoned (12.nine‑inch) (2nd technology), ipad seasoned (12.9‑inch) (second era) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad pro (10.5‑inch), ipad pro (10.five‑inch) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad (sixth technology), ipad wi‑fi + cell (6th technology), ipad seasoned (11‑inch), ipad seasoned (eleven‑inch) wi‑fi + mobile, ipad seasoned (12.nine‑inch) (third generation), ipad pro (12.9‑inch) (third era) wi‑fi + mobile, ipad mini (5th technology), ipad mini (fifth technology) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad air (third technology), ipad air (3rd generation) wi‑fi + cell, ipad (7th era), ipad (7th generation) wi‑fi + mobile, ipad pro (eleven‑inch) (2d generation), ipad seasoned (11‑inch) (second era) wi‑fi + cell, ipad pro (12.9‑inch) (4th era), ipad seasoned (12.9‑inch) (4th technology) wi‑fi + cellular, ipod contact (sixth technology), and ipod touch (7th technology). Enjoy thanksgiving this thanksgiving! - the dessert nights event is coming! It's hot, it is weird, it's quite sweet. Just a desolate tract full of cakes. You'll meet the new seth and anubis dragons. Could even pick the new blackberry brambles. - 10 new ranges? The nocturne oasis place is prepared to puzzle through! And maybe we have been sneaky. Perhaps we left you some thing extra. Idk. - the dessert nights event is coming! It is hot, it is bizarre, it's quite sweet. Just a desert complete of cakes. Without a doubt bright, brilliant colours with high-quality element, shading, and lively outcomes. Superbly rendered dragons, plants, objects, and degrees. Pure eye candy. Merge Dragons is at the leading edge of loose sport apps (4.7 out of 5 app shop rating) and exploits the skills of retina shows. Accompanying the colourful graphics are sounds and results that trill pleasurably every time something excellent takes place in sport. Sweet overwhelm is not the primary game to build puzzle stages based at the "matching" game mechanic — match three or extra of the equal gadgets to development inside the degree. The simplest thing i dislike is the chests that simply stay round. They soak up valuable area and often require a whole lot of crystals to open and may not be well worth the charge. I'd love the choice to unload the chests inside the trash. Requires ios nine.0 or later. Well matched with iphone 5s, iphone 6, iphone 6 plus, iphone 6s, iphone 6s plus, iphone se (1st technology), iphone 7, iphone 7 plus, iphone eight, iphone eight plus, iphone x, iphone xs, iphone xs max, iphone xr, iphone 11, iphone 11 pro, iphone eleven pro max, iphone se (2nd technology), ipad air, ipad air wi‑fi + cellular, ipad mini 2, ipad mini 2 wi‑fi + mobile, ipad air 2, ipad air 2 wi‑fi + cellular, ipad mini 3, ipad mini three wi‑fi + mobile, ipad mini four, ipad mini four wi‑fi + cellular, ipad seasoned (12.nine‑inch), ipad pro (12.nine‑inch) wi‑fi + mobile, ipad pro (9.7‑inch), ipad seasoned (nine.7‑inch) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad (5th technology), ipad (fifth technology) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad pro (12.nine‑inch) (2d technology), ipad seasoned (12.nine‑inch) (2d era) wi‑fi + cell, ipad pro (10.five‑inch), ipad pro (10.5‑inch) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad (6th generation), ipad wi‑fi + cellular (sixth era), ipad seasoned (11‑inch), ipad seasoned (eleven‑inch) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad seasoned (12.9‑inch) (third technology), ipad pro (12.9‑inch) (3rd generation) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad mini (5th era), ipad mini (fifth era) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad air (third technology), ipad air (third technology) wi‑fi + cell, ipad (seventh generation), ipad (seventh era) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad seasoned (11‑inch) (2nd generation), ipad pro (11‑inch) (2nd era) wi‑fi + cellular, ipad seasoned (12.9‑inch) (4th generation), ipad pro (12.9‑inch) (4th generation) wi‑fi + cell, ipod touch (6th generation) and ipod touch (seventh era). I shared this with my daughter and she said she lost a dragon and thinks this must be a glitch in the game. Very frustrating to work for these items and then to have them just disappear. Consequently my passion for the game has decreased dramatically. I love playing this game and it's really rewarding, but when ever i go on, there are times that i find i have lost dragons in my camp, they are mostly the event dragons or the owl griffons, this is the second time i have gotten on and found that an entire species of dragon is just gone.

How to slay your makeup from the first base to the last set..
.. Get it? ‘First base’, bases.. primers.. ‘last set’, setting sprays? Ok, I don’t know where these sporty puns came from lol, it’s sounding like we’re entering some sort of makeup Olympics, but hey, if there was a medal for the longest-lasting makeup you’d for sure win after reading this post.
Primers are so important to me. I literally cannot apply anything onto my face without putting down ATLEAST one base product. Primers have different purposes to fulfil as a product, be it, smoothing the skins texture, filling fine lines and pores, mattifying, making the skin dewy etc. etc.
A few tips to allow your primer to reach it’s full potential:
1) Allow your skincare to be completely soaked into your skin before applying it
2) Allowing it to dry and set onto your skin for a few minutes before going in with foundations, concealers etc!
I’ve been through a fair few different primers from the drugstore and higher end brands and have finally narrowed it down to my fave few. ~ keep reading to see my picks!
1) MAC Prep+Prime Natural Radiance base shade: ‘radiant yellow’ (£30, purchase here)
Benefits: Hydrates, adds a healthy, radiant glow to the skin, overall just makes the skin texture smoother and moisturised allowing foundation to apply beautifully onto it.
I typically use this primer in the winter when my skin looks dull and dry, it fakes gorgeous summer like skin. The yellowness of the product also helps counteract dull greyish tones in the skin so this doubles up as a colour corrector! Who loves multipurpose products?! ME when I’m half asleep at 8am getting ready for uni to look fly thinking I’ll find my future hubby strolling through the campus *Thanks Bryson Tiller for selling us all dreams lol*
Downsides: I don’t feel it has any benefits in making the makeup last longer throughout the day. It also doesn’t fill in pores and fine lines etc. so another primer needs to be used alongside it which is kinda annoying as I prefer a one-product-that-does-all primer, can’t win all eh?
Rating: 7/10!
2) NIOD Photography fluid tan opacity 8% (£21, purchase here)
Benefits: Can be used under, over or mixed into foundation for a gorgeous dewy glow. As the name suggests it makes your skin look AMAZING in photography - it’s like facetune without the app, because um who’s got £3.99 to smooth their skin out???
In real life the skin also appears airbrushed due to the light-reflecting particles which diffuse the look of imperfections. Again like the MAC primer, the golden tone of the product helps to colour correct and get rid of any greyness.
Downsides: Again the product does not seem to improve the lasting power of the makeup.
Rating: 8/10
3) Benefit porefessional (£26, purchase here)
Benefits: It does exactly what it says on the tube, fills in pores! I also find it smooths the skin and gives a velvety texture so foundation applies fab on top!
I find a bunch of people not liking this product or finding it doesn’t work effectively however the products success is based on the application technique you use. Rather than rubbing the product in, really push it into your pores - this sounds abit iffy as-if it could clog your pores but with a good evening cleanse you’ll be able to remove all the product from your pores.
Cons: Too mattifying for my liking at first but a few hours into the day it tends to make the areas I have applied it to slightly oily, but a blotting tissue and some powder can fix that I guess.
Rating: 10/10 for pore filling, 6 as an overall do-it-all primer!
4) The Ordinary High Adherence silicone primer (£3.90, purchase here)
Benefits: One of my absolute fave primers ever since I got my hands on it - the quality and the price are incomparable! Extremely high quality without the price tag. It blurs all my pores and fine lines, leaves my skin texture insanely smooth and keeps my makeup lasting all day.
Cons: NON. I honestly can’t point a flaw out with this product - especially with a £4 price point, you can’t ask for more amazingness than you already get!
Rating: 10000000000000000/10, sorry I had to be extra.
5) MAC Prep+Prime BB beauty balm shade: ‘dark deep’ (£25, purchase here)
Benefits: Although not technically sold as a ‘primer’, in Asia BB creams are commonly used underneath foundation to help the wear and coverage of the foundation. When I’m feeling extra crappy about my skin I put a thin layer of this all over my skin - it helps in colour correcting, making my skin an even shade. Instead of a thick concealer all over, this is extremely thin so foundation can sit comfortably over top. This particular BB cream also has oil control properties and SPF which is all useful as a base!
Cons: If used heavy handed it can become too cakey and thick - especially if you intend to use a thick foundation over top too.
Rating: 8/10
6) The Ordinary high-spreadability primer (£5.50, purchase here)
Benefits: Works a dream for making thick, heavy foundation blend more seamlessly and look more natural. Use this with foundations you find trouble blending, or sit patchy and blotchy, It will help alottttt.
Cons: I have to use it alongside other primers because it’s pore-filling qualities are terrible. (Sometimes I feel it makes my pores look bigger idk why)
Rating: 7/10
7) YSL Touche Éclat Blur Primer (£29.50, purchase here)
Benefits: THISSSS IS EVERYTHINGGGG. This product allows for the best of both worlds - poreless and smooth yet dewy. I don’t know how YSL did it because the majority of porefilling products make the skin matte and velvety rather than glowy. This product however is filled with tiny gold flakes which give the skin a sheen, don’t worry, although it looks like a disco ball in the bottle, it’s nowhere near as dramatic on the face - just a subtle shimmer. I am obsessed with this. This does everything I want in a primer, what more could I ask for?!
Cons: Umm.. non! Maybe the price point is a little steep but you need a pea-sized amount for your whole face so I can’t ever imagine running out.
Rating: 100000/10, extra Sabrina back at it again.
1) Mario Badescu Rose water facial spray (£11, purchase here)
I honestly can’t tell you how much this spray has changed my makeup game. Have you seen that dressing gown meme? ‘cold? dressing gown. lifes a mess? dressing gown. broke up with your man? dressing gown.’ this is basically the same thing - foundations thick and cakey? Mario’s spray. gone a little heavy handed with the powder? Mario’s spray. Need to set your face for a day of finding a new man? Mario’s spray. HONESTLY, everyone just get this and drown in it. Every issue you have will be fixed - my promise.
2) MAC Fix+ (£18, purchase here)
This products abit of a tough one - although not marketed as a setting spray it still helps your makeup in looking it’s best. After I’ve applied all my powders to my face - inc, bronzer, blush and highlight, I mist this onto my face and everything melts together and instantly looks more natural, less powdery, cakey and looks all as one-layer rather than multiple products piled onto one another.
3) Urban Decay all nighter setting spray (£10 for mini OR £23.50 full size, purchase here )
I purchased this once before and hated it but I was using it all wrong - I didn’t shake the bottle, sprayed it from a close distance and sprayed waaaaay to much. I bought another tiny bottle to give it another shot and since I’ve started using it properly it works a dream (always remember to shake, apply from arms length and do not to drown in it, save that for the MB). I always use this when I know I have tons of things to do in the day so my makeup is locked and doesn’t sweat off or get oily. Love, love, love it!
4) Superdrug own brand Vitamin E Hydrating mist (£2.99 can’t find online but available in stores)
THIS IS LIFE. Sorry for the excited caps. But again, like The Ordinary primer, the price DOES NOT match the quality - it is way too amazing to be £2.99, but thanks Superdrug for not breaking the bank and giving me the goods at an affordable price, I’m not complaining. Seriously, this is so comparable to the Mario Badescu spray. It makes the skin look stunning and dewy. Gets rid of the powderiness in the face and melts the product in the skin. I haven’t noticed any benefits when it comes to making the makeup last longer but you can always pair it with a good primer or spritz some setting spray on afterwards!
And I’m done! *Scrolls back up, oh jheze this is longgg, if you made it this low - congratulate yourself and contact me for an award hehe*
What Primers are your favourite!? Be sure to let me know!
Love always, Sabrina! x

I really love your art and your stories, so i thought you'd be the one I'd ask this. Do you have any tips for new artists that would help us improve our work? Any tutorials you recommend? Any insider tricks you've learned that could help us? Thank you so much and have a good day!!
hmmm... these are the kind of questions that make me ramble on for eternity... (I’d say I’m better w/ more specific questions but those actually tend to make me ramble MORE)>w
ok, I’ve found that every person has a different way of looking at things- so:
Look at the world around you and turn it into art.
Anything that catches your interest. Just observe and draw and practice and explore.
Do life sketches whenever you can/feel like and if you caannt draw, try to visually ‘sketch’ something- like, look at a tree and trace it with your eyes or finger (its a rather good way to pass the time if you’re waiting in a line or something)
(tbh tho I’ve made this such a habit that idk how to explain it better than this.)
sketch and don’t be afraid of ‘messing up’ just doodle and you’ll find things out better than any artist can teach you.
Challenge yourself, but don’t jump too far.
I think one thing that discourages most new artists is, they try to do difficult things right off the bat.
Just, start simple, and once you get comfortable, increase the challenge level a bit.
Ex) Drawing from your imagination is hard- use references. Sketch something out a couple of times before you try to paint it
Try different mediums.
Sometimes, when you try one medium, you’ll learn techniques that can work with your old medium and you’ll improve in both OR, you’ll find your New Best Friend.
There’s a lot of things that you’re really only gonna get from lots and lots of practice and study.
which leads me to: some of the tutorials I personally learned a lot from:
Youtuber- Mark Crilley (he’s mainly a manga artist- I mostly liked his perspective drawing work....)
Youtube- speed drawing videos, I mainly gleamed certain motions, layering techniques, shading techniques and stuff from those, but they are a fun way to try and figure out how something works on your own.
a bunch of library books, (the one I best remember is Mythical Beasts: An Artist's Field Guide, I think I checked it out like, 10 times as a kid)
like seriously get any library book that catches your eye and practice away.
there’s LOTS of internet tutorials and- tbh, you really just gonna look up things on google sometimes. (I’ve got mine under the tag ‘tutorials’ if you’re interested, & I reblog a few art tutorials onto my main whenever I come across some good ones.
Go to art exhibits- look at your favorite pieces and figure out What makes them your favorites. Sketch them if you can.
if you’re interested in doing comic-art, I doooo think there was a few books by Stan Lee, & I found a library book that went IN DEPTH about DC’s Shazam’s history and it also went into how many of the comics were made, showed storyboarding, all that stuff- (it was super cool & I learned a lot from it despite it not aaactually being any kind of tutorial book... so... look for books like that too.)
Draw your own tutorials (&/or speed videos, if you can.)
No seriously. I’ve found that, every time I’ve tried to explain my process, I’ve discovered those little stumbling points I would just gloss over normally. Slowing down and really examining Why you do something the way you do will help you refine where you might want to improve!
... .. anyway Yea. I think I’ve done my best to provide tips and references. (tho if you want me to ramble about like- the actual drawing part, you’re gonna have to ask something a bit more specific, cause I could PRobably write a whole book about it.) :P

Having stayed at a hostel that’s just a 10-minute brisk walk away from the Ximending shopping area allowed me to do several rounds of mini shopping sprees, despite my pretty short stay in Taiwan. This way, I got to compare prices, weigh my options, go back for any missed must-buys, do some rebuys because I am a hoarder, and do researching in the in-betweens!
Ximending, as you may know, is very similar to Korea’s Myeongdong, just a bit smaller. They have lots of girly stores (PRIORITY) like Cosmed, Watsons, Tomod’s — Taiwan’s counterpart of Sasa and Bonjour in Hong Kong.
While these three are the bigger chains, I personally had more fun going to the humbler boutiques, such as 86 Shop which has highly competitive prices for most products, and the pretty obscure Paris Strawberry which btw isn’t available on Google Maps so thank God for blogs that gave me directions to find it!
Directions for Paris Strawberry: Look for Uniqlo which should be on your left, then turn to the alley on your left side and look for a girl character wearing a strawberry hat. Store is on the 2/F so you have to take the stairs.)
Anyway, since I just got back home yesterday, I haven’t tested out many of the products I’ll be sharing with you just yet. Nonetheless, please know that I’ve done my fair share of googling, reading and YouTubing, and have found that these are the brands to watch out for! 🙂
DHC Cleansing Oil
My bestfriend, Diane, was first to go crazy over this DHC Cleansing Oil. She got introduced to it by the hotel she stayed at in Tokyo. (Gotta give it up to Japan hotels for providing top-quality toiletries!) She said it prevented her from breaking out from traveling, and made her skin so nice!
A few months later, we started seeing one rave post about it after another from trusty online sites. All of a sudden it’s everyone’s holy grail. I’m pretty sure it’s been famous ever since, though, but it was only recently that it rang a bell.
Fast-forward again to Taipei, while I wasn’t really keen on trying out the product just yet, I ended up buying one. Just one at first. I got the 70ml since I thought it was fairly cheap at NT 249 as opposed to its resale price here in Manila (i.e. Lazada – where Diane got her 70ml at PHP 750). Exchange rate from NT to PHP is around 1.7, in case you’re wondering.
The product is primarily made of olive oil, and is rich in vitamins and antioxidants. I liked it at first try, and loved it the second, third, fourth time around. It’s powerful at taking off makeup, such that you can really see the oil getting colored with foundation as you lather. The scent is okay as it is pretty mild–smells like olive oil. It’s not my favorite scent in the world as I like it fruity, but I feel like my skin likes it because it’s fragrance-free. And I don’t know if it’s just placebo effect, just because the product site says it so, but I feel like it truly nourishes my skin as it cleanses it! It makes it supple, and healthier in appearance. Also, no residue!!!
This led me to buying again, and this time, the bigger size at 100ml. It sells as low as NT 499-599, and while all beauty stores have this product in stock, not all can sell it this cheap. I got it at NT 599 in 86 Shop, and then an hour later, saw it on sale (!) in Sasa at NT 499!!! I hate not getting the BEST deals, so even if it doesn’t make sense, I bought another 100ml bottle just because I could not miss out on this deal. (My boyfriend lectured me when I told him about this story. So I am aware that’s not normal. But… HUHU.) (Also, please follow @dendendeals on Instagram if you love good deals as much as I do! LOL!)
Anyway, this is taking longer than intended. Verdict is, it’s a really great product! While I’ve only used it for a few days so far, it holds a lot of promise to the extent that my Banila Co Clean It Zero might take a backseat in the meantime. The only possibly negative thing about it is that it seems to run out fast. I use it at the rate of 2-3 pumps at night to remove makeup, and I could already see a significant emptied space in the bottle for just about half a week into it. (Luckily, I got two big bottles more.)
Sheet Masks!!!!!!!!!!
If there’s one thing you can buy plenty of in Taiwan, it’s definitely the sheet masks! Surprisingly, their masks are even cheaper than in Korea. Not all, of course. But they do have some of the lowest price points ever– from NT 9 and up!!! So I bought a total of 50! :))
Here are the mask brands you should look out for:
My Scheming
I was able to try the Gudetama ones, thanks to Diane who gave it as pasalubong last year when she went to Taipei. Initially, I got bummed that it was a plain white sheet mask inside, and not a Gudetama face. (I wanted to look like Gudetama!!!!) 😦 But, it has a nice moisturizing effect on the skin. I’d say this is one of the better ones I’ve tried so far.
LoveMore
This is a Korean brand but it seems to be more popular in Taiwan.
Sexy Look
They currently have Disney-themed masks. The ones I got are the villains because I thought it was funny, plus it’s cheaper at NT 39 a mask as compared to the princess ones at NT 69.
Beauty Diary
This is one of the most famous Taiwanese mask brands, and I just fell in love with their packaging. Would you look at those beauties!!! I got to try one already and it seems promising. My only gripe is that the mask is too small for my big face. Still, I would repurchase. I get so much satisfaction just by staring at the lovely packaging, I’m not even kidding.
Annie’s Way Jelly Mask
Here’s another Taiwan homegrown– Annie’s Way. I’ve seen a couple of posts about it when I looked up “Taipei Skincare Hauls” and I knew I had to try it!
This got me so tired, though. It was exceptionally hard to find!!! It wasn’t available in all the big stores, and eventually I found one at Paris Strawberry. That’s how I discovered that shop, by the way. Unfortunately, they only had it this variant (Charcoal Black) at NT 450 (same SRP in the website). So even though I wanted the others more (i.e. the bestselling Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brighteing, and the Aloe Anti-Acne), and after all the searching and walking and sweating that I did looking for this brand, there was no way I’d leave empty-handed!
How to use: After cleansing, apply 0.3-0.5 cm of product on the face. Leave it there a while, then once skin is softened, scrape off impurities using the spatula provided in the box.
They say results are instant and quite amazing, so I can’t wait to dive into this one soon!
Pimple Patches
To be honest, pimple patches can be costlier than, let’s say, pimple creams. However, I’ve grown fonder and fonder of them over time since they can be super effective in healing pimples pretty fast especially for those with instantly emerging ‘heads.’
Acnes and Nexcare are good brands for this product.
Hada Labo Goku-Jun Super Hyaluronic Acid (Light)
I saw MUA Tamara Pineda post this on IG Story a couple of weeks ago, and managed to screenshot it. So the moment I saw this familiar bottle in store, I knew I had to get it. I didn’t even know what it was for at first, because there wasn’t any English descriptions written. But Tamara explained it was Hyaluronic Acid (see benefits here) and that’s like a magic word in the skincare world, so viola! Purchased!
I’ve been using it for a few days now and so far so good! No bumps, no new pimples, and skin feels generally nourished. I could attribute that to this, or to the DHC Cleansing Oil, or perhaps both!
Rating on Makeup Alley is great, too. It’s at 4.2!
Lapcos Beauty Sponges
Now, makeup! Sadly, I didn’t get to buy a lot because IDK maybe there weren’t really many attractive options to begin with. They carry a lot of Korean brands such as Lapcos but mostly for more expensive prices than how much I got in Korea. But these sponges were an exception because 1.) I didn’t find this in Korea, and 2.) 86 Shop had testers and even a sink so I was able to try it wet and it was great!!! It has a flat surface, colors are cute, and for 2 sponges you only have to pay NT 286. Good deal!
If I were to rank the good beauty sponges I’ve tried, below would be my ranking — 1 being the best:
EcoTools
Beauty Blender
Lapcos
Real Techniques
The fact that they’re second to the best ones ever says a lot already!
3CE Mood Recipe Lip Color Mini Kit
3CE is also another popular Korean makeup brand. I visited their shop at Style Nanda in Seoul before but everything seemed pricey at that time. For some reason, this set retails pretty cheap at 86 Shop (yet again) at only NT 888. That’s cheap because when I went to another Taiwanese store (Little 3) the price for the exact same set is at NT 1400! Ridiculous!!!
Long story short, I bought it because it was a good deal. HAHAHAHA. I’m really a sucker for good deals, and that’s an understatement.
Another reason for buying is because I fell in love with Colourpop’s Parker lippie stix. Shade is similar to these. More on the brown/peachy side, and it’s my new default lippie that matches whatever eye makeup I’m wearing. So I figured I should buy more similar shades. Hence, these. Hehehe.
***
And this wraps up my beauty haul! Looking back, I realize I didn’t shop THAT much. So, good job to me! ❤
