Chapter 4: Doctor's Visit

As soon as the doors to the clinic were open, Ace was dragging you inside. He even wore a shirt without you having to remind you. He was that desperate to get you in.

You couldn’t blame him. Neither of you had gotten much sleep. When you finally managed to doze off, you were haunted by horrific dreams. It was almost better to be awake and sleep deprived. But when you were awake, you were also nauseous. Both states of being were about equally as miserable. 

Ace hadn’t slept well either. You knew he was anxious to be on an island. He wanted to be out at sea, chasing down Teach. And you couldn’t blame him. Justice had to be dealt and you were keeping him tied down, waiting for the clinic to open their doors. 

The doctor took you quickly, though they made Ace wait in the lobby. It made you nervous to be separated from him, but it would be easier to talk about your actual concerns this way. 

You gave a false name and age to the worker, not wanting your records to be found by anyone. Then they took your weight and blood pressure, which they noted was a bit high. That would be reason for concern, if you weren’t in the process of tracking down your uncle’s killer.  

“My name is Ali,” the young nurse said. “What brings you in today.?”

“Quite frankly,” you tried to swallow the lump in your throat. “I think I’m pregnant.”

“Oh!” Ali said, her eyes widening in shock.

“The guy out in the lobby doesn’t know yet. I just wanted to get a test to be certain before I told him.”

“Of course.” Ali nodded and began writing some information down on her sheet. “I’ll order some labs for you, and take some blood. Should I bring him back or leave him out there?”

You sighed in relief. This girl really was a godsend. She knew exactly what you needed. 

“Can you bring him back?” you asked. “That would be great.”

She went and gathered Ace, who you referred to as Axel in front of the staff, and then began to prepare for a blood sample. As she tried to take your blood, you realized you had forgotten to give her very important information. 

“Oh!” You pulled away from the incoming needle, startling the nurse. “I’m sorry, I just forgot to tell you- I have a devil fruit power. Logia type.”

“Oh dear,” Ali said, quickly pulling away her needle. “I totally forgot to ask you that question as a part of the screening. Here-” she handed you a bracelet that had green stone and an adjustable leather cord. “If you’ll just put that on, we can get started.”

When you put it on, you hardly felt different. You felt a little more solid than you usually did, but that was about it.

“What is this?” you asked, examining the bracelet around your wrist. 

“Sea prism,” the nurse said. You felt Ace stiffen beside you. Sea prism usually meant bad things for pirates, but you trusted this woman.

 “It’s an extremely weakened version of it, so it just negates your abilities without physically weakening you. You’ll need it if-” she paused, her eyes flitting over to Ace. “Well, we can talk about the uses for it later.”

She easily stuck the needle in and drew out a few vials of blood, and then sent them off to the lab. “We’ll have results in about ten to twenty minutes. Just hang tight, okay?”

You gave her a tense smile. “Thanks.”

Ace looked pale and sick. You couldn’t blame him. Usually when people were this kind, it was a trap. Every bone in your body was telling you to flee. But you couldn’t run away this time. You had to wait for the results. 

“Are you going to die?” Ace whispered. “I know I said you could go first, but I didn’t mean this soon.”

“I’m not going to die, Ace,” you said. “Let’s just wait for the results, okay?”

You didn’t have to wait long, thankfully. Ali had worked some kind of laboratory magic, and came back in less than ten minutes. 

When the door opened, Ace’s hand interlaced in yours and he held onto it tightly, as if you were his only anchor for survival. 

Ali gave you a big grin as she shut the door, looking at the two of you with pure joy on her face. “I believe some congratulations are in order!”

“Congratulations?” Ace asked, confusion written all over his face. 

You wanted to puke. You were right. And now Ace was about to find out. 

“All of the bloodwork came back normal,” Ali confirmed. “Except for the pregnancy test. That came back positive.”

You gripped Ace’s hand tighter than you thought possible, but Ace was still processing her words. 

“Pregnancy test?” He looked at you, his eyes wide with fear. “You’re pregnant?”

“It looks like she’s about done with her first trimester!” Ali squeaked, her excitement palpable in the room. You wished you could feel the same. 

“Ali-” you cleared your throat, trying to maintain your composure. “Can we have a minute?”

“Oh!” Ali’s face flushed with pink. “Of course. Let me give you some privacy to talk about this, and then we can go over everything you need to know.”

Ace was still staring at you, unbelieving and unaccepting. You flinched slightly as the door shut, waiting for Ace to say something. Anything. 

“How long?” Ace demanded. “How long have you known?”

“Last night,” you admitted. “The no-moon made me realize.”

“We were so careful!”

You sighed. “The onsen.”

Ace’s eyes got wide. “Fuck,” he hissed. “I forgot about that.”

“I swear I didn’t know before last night,” you promised. 

“I believe you,” Ace said. “You were too stubborn about that no-moon.”

You gave a nervous laugh that quickly died, leaving the room wrapped in an eerie silence. 

“What do we do?” you whispered, tears filling your eyes. Now that it was real, it all felt so scary. 

“What do you mean? We’re having a baby!” Ace laughed, a toothy smile emerging from his previously concerned face. “I thought you were dying, but this is great news in comparison!”

“But-” you paused to wipe away your tears. “You said you didn’t want kids.”

He put a hand atop your stomach, staring down at where your child was growing. “I changed my mind.”

“You changed your mind?”

“Yep.” He gave another soft smile, staring at your stomach with complete love and infatuation. “We’re gonna be better parents than even Pops. Think we can do that?”

You laughed, choking out a sob as well. “I thought you said pirates-”

He cut your words off with his lips; a kiss that was long and deep, and all of your doubt was instantly replaced with love. 

He finally pulled away from your lips, pressing his forehead against yours. “We’ll figure it out, okay?”

You gave him a tearful smile and nodded in agreement. “Okay,” you whispered. 

“I really thought you were going to die,” Ace whispered. “This is nothing compared to that.”

Ace couldn’t stop staring at your belly, that goofy grin still widespread across his face. He was still staring when Ali knocked on the door a few minutes later, and came back in. 

“How are we feeling?” she asked, her eyes glancing between you and Ace. 

“Great!” Ace was cheerful and enthusiastic as he spoke to Ali, but he kept his hand protectively over you. 

“Awesome!” Ali said, turning back to you. “There’s a lot of information we need to go over, but the most important is that bracelet. It’s yours now. Keep it on unless you need to use your devil fruit powers.”

“Wait, what? Why?” you asked, looking at the sea prism bracelet. 

“Logia users are at the highest risk of a failed pregnancy. Your body goes through extreme changes and isn’t even always solid sometimes. You may be able to handle those changes like it’s nothing, but a baby can’t.

“We recommend you keep your ability usage down to around 15 minutes over an hour span between months two through four. I’m guessing your body has been having some weird reactions over the past few weeks? The pregnancy would be the reason for it. Keeping that bracelet on should help negate those adverse effects, as well as clear up any major nausea and major sickness you’ve been having.”

“Wow,” you whispered. “I had no idea. That makes so much sense.”

“Between months five and nine,” Ali continued on, handing Ace a pamphlet. “We recommend no ability usage at all unless absolutely imperative circumstances. It’s very dangerous to the baby for the mother to use powers during that time. That bracelet will be your absolute best friend over the next few months. I hope you like green!”

You gave a light laugh as you continued to stare at the bracelet, but you could feel dread bubbling up inside you. If you couldn’t use your powers, you weren’t sure how much help you would be at any time over the next few months, for Ace or for your family. 

“I’m sure you’re worried about losing the bracelet,” Ali said, misunderstanding your unease. “We’ll give you a bag with two more in it, just in case one breaks or gets lost. And you can always come back to this clinic or any clinic on the Grand Line, most of them have a form of this in stock.”

“What about the baby?” Ace asked. “You said months two through four she should only be using her devil fruit powers 15 minutes an hour, but we’re on month three. Is there anything to be worried about?”

“We’ll do a routine checkup,” Ali said, turning to look at you. “But months two through four are more for the mother's sake. Preparing you to not be reliant on your powers as well as keeping the sickness at bay.”

You gave a nod, but your hand reached out to find Ace’s again. This was too much information. There was no way you would remember it all. He gripped your hand reassuringly, giving you an encouraging squeeze every now and then as Ali rambled through more specific deatils. 

She went over hundreds of other pieces of information, each thing coming with its own pamphlet or handout. Where to get checkups, how to get proper nutrition, things to look out for and things that were completely normal. It was overwhelming, and by the end of it, your head was spinning. 

The two of you walked out of the clinic, hands full of vitamins, appointment schedules, and the results of a healthy baby. It felt like an eternity ago that Thatch had died, and you wanted to cry remembering he was gone. How had you already forgotten so quickly?

As you and Ace walked back to the boat, you passed a board full of bounty posters. 

“Hey!” Ace called you back to the board. “Our bounties went up.”

You scowled. “We didn’t even do anything!”

He gave you a wicked grin. “They probably assumed the masterminds were involved in the embargo Thatch did the other week.”

His face fell at the mention of his fellow commander. It was clear that he had forgotten too. You walked back to the board, trying not to think about it too hard. Now was not the time for sadness. It was time for revenge. 

“What are they now?” You scanned the board, looking for your bounty poster. Both you and Ace had gotten updated photos after the Marine Ball incident, and it took a second to find them. 

“You’re at 550 million!?” you whispered, thoroughly impressed. Six months ago he hadn’t even been at a million, and now he was over halfway to a billion. 

“And you’re 790 million,” Ace smirked, nudging you playfully. “Look at you go.”

You rolled your eyes. “The Navy only sees Newgate.”

Ace pulled down your poster and shoved it in his pocket, and he stared at the board again, his mouth hanging wide open. 

“What?” you asked, looking where your poster had been. 

A straw hat. Not just any straw hat. Uncle Red’s old straw hat. The one he had promised to you years and years ago. 

“Hey!” you shouted. “I know that hat!”

“You know that hat?” Ace yelled back, his enthusiasm growing. “I know that kid! That’s Luffy!”

“Luffy?!” You looked back at the poster. Monkey D. Luffy. Ace’s little brother. 

You looked at him. “You’re telling me that your little brother stole my hat? Your family just keeps stealing all the stuff that was promised to me!”

He laughed at your joke, and you found yourself laughing along too. It had been a long time since you had thought about your promised position in a bitter way, and an even longer time since you had thought about that hat. 

“We should go see him,” Ace offered wistfully. “I was browsing the papers while you were with the nurse. Sounds like Teach was heading back to Paradise to form a crew.”

“Man, it’s been forever since I’ve been to Paradise.” You pulled down Luffy’s bounty poster, examining it as you walked. “You know Luffy already has a higher bounty than you did a few months ago, right?”

Ace groaned and shook his head. “The Navy is different with rookies now than they used to be. They don’t underestimate them anymore.”

“Or maybe he’s just stronger,” you said, sending him a cheesy grin as he rolled his eyes. 

“Come on.” He snatched Luffy’s poster out of your hand, but gingerly folded it up and placed it in his pocket. “We’ve got a pirate to find.”

Urgh, this case. I'm just going to adapt the anime version, erase all that disgusting love triangle stuff, Phoenix reacts more strongly to the talk with Franziska and almost has a nervous breakdown, Trucy's a fan of Max Galactica for obvious reasons and will lead the explanation to how Max's cape flew, the girl is theatrical, leave her be xd

Farawell, my Turnabout:

UHHHHH this case, hold on tight because this is my favorite and I have to make it special. With changes from the get go, Apollo is kidnapped alongside Maya, Kay offers to look for them while Phoenix, Gumshoe and the girls focus on the case, The magatama and perception are deceived, but Athena captures Engard's malice and satisfaction, Phoenix punches Edgeworth for being a shitty dramatist and making everyone think he was dead, Franzyska also gives him a whiplash, he deserves it(?), Phoenix complain to both Gumshoe and Kay for knowing that Edgeworth was alive and not telling him to later have a panic attack from the call with De Killer, This poor man will be beaten from all sides, I guarantee you xd, Apollo is a little gremling who refuses to sit still even if his life depends on it, Engard is a son of a bitch, De Killer just wants to finish his job, the gallery is confused, Adrian realizes what is really going on behind Engard's defense, Apollo is again a small gremling and takes away De Killer's radio while he is on the stand to then being dragged out, we got one more break, Mia's a good mother, everyone celebrates Franziska's Big Moment™, Phoenix together with Athena and Trucy decide the verdict of "NOT guilty" and watch happily as Engard ruins his face, the reunion scene is more mellow, Apollo calls Phoenix dad for the first time and everyone is happy

I LOVE TALKING ABOUT MY AU SO IM GONNA TALK ABOUT WHO CAN COOK AND WHO CANT

Finney can cook. With Terrence being sometimes black out drunk, he basically taught himself how to make food for him and his sister. Finney sometimes pulls out his mom’s old cookbook to try and get a reminisce of her and make a nice dinner or breakfast.

Robin can cook. He’s probably one of the best out of the 6 of them. His mom taught him all the tricks and recipes she knew, and when she passed on, Robin’s uncle stepped up to teach him more. Robin also has his mom’s cookbook, which is jam packed with so many recipes for food and treats.

Bruce can not cook for shit, to be honest! He’s okay at making breakfast, but when it comes to anything else that involves a pan, a pot, or an oven/stove, he is completely helpless. Usually this means he just eats cereal for breakfast and orders food for him and Amy if their parents aren’t home for dinner.

Vance can cook! Whenever he had to go to his dad’s, he knew his dad wouldn’t cook a thing for him, so Vance made food for himself 99% of the time. When he went back to his mom’s though, she taught him to cook things and actually took care of him. Vance makes Griffin food when their mom is caught up with a late shift. Vance of course makes food for Bruce since he loves him. Vance earns the title of malewife /hj

Billy can’t really cook that much. SOMEHOW he knows how to make an apple pie without messing it up. Everything else he makes burns a lot though. His family got take out a lot or ate TV dinners, so they only ate homemade food like 3 days a week. After the whole basement fiasco though, he ended up eating homemade food more often since he goes to Griffin’s house a lot.

Griffin can cook. He isn’t that experienced, but he can make a killer plate of pesto pasta. Griffin’s vegetarian, and he grew up eating basically zero processed food, so when he makes stuff, his food is healthy and stuff. He forgot how to make a lot of stuff after being in the basement for almost 3 years, basically almost a 1000 days, but his mom taught him recipes again when he got home. He’ll still make non-vegetarian meals when someone wants food that has meat in it.

VI. A Week in Mustique i loove this one <3

Thank you for the ask!! I love this one too -- have some Sonny and Uncle Liam bonding!! This next chapter will be Liam POV (I've not finished the chapter, it's going slow, and I've been a bit diverted with Carraville, but hoping to finish this chapter and keep it going) ***

Liam spots the lad he’s looking for, holding tight to a palm tree, stretching his skinny little leg behind his back like he’s Usain Bolt warming up for the Olympics. He doesn’t have the Gallagher look about him at all; not the eyebrows, or his father’s nose, or the sour little mouth that Donovan had inherited. Liam supposes he must look like his mother. But then the kid reaches up to rub at his eye, and his whole face sort of scrunches up disagreeably, and it’s a kick in the chest how like a little Noely G. he is, just for a flash of a second. Liam cups his hands around his mouth and shouts at the top of his lungs: “BUMBACLART!” 

Sonny fairly jumps out of his skin, eyes going all cartoon-y and round. 

“What the fuck, Uncle Liam?!” 

Liam laughs and gives him a thorough scruffle round about the ears. “Alright little potato?! Where’s your brother, ain’t he coming with?” 

Sunny pats his hair back into place. “Nah, he’s still sleeping. Lazy cunt. Anais said she wanted to come, but I think her sunburn’s still really sore, so I didn’t try to wake her up.”

“Ah, poor girl. She taking care of herself?” 

“Yeah. Molly’s been helping put the aloe on and everything. And Gene won’t stop bringing her bottles of coconut water. He’s being really weird about it, it’s like-- she’s not fucking dying!”  

“Ah, always been a softie, our Gene. Good he’s lookin’ after her.”

“Yeah, but it’s her own fucking fault, innit? Like, how stupid can you be?! We were on a boat, in the sun, for like-- five hours! How do you just forget to put sunscreen on?!” 

Sonny gives a disapproving shake of the head, hands propped up on his hips. 

Liam laughs, and gives his nephew a slap on the back. “Someday you’ll see, Little G. After a drink or two you stop being so smart.” 

“I think even after about a hundred beers, I’d remember-- you’re in the middle of the fucking Carribbean! I mean we’re basically right on the fucking equator!” 

They take off on a slow jog, and Sonny promises not to leave Liam in the dust. There’s a nice firmer bit of sand nearer the water where their feet don’t sink in so much, so they stick to running along the beach, watching the sun slowly peek up over the ocean. Sonny’s got a little Nike digital watch, so Liam tells him to say summat when they’ve gone a half-hour; and there they stop for a rest and kick sand and throw rocks into the surf, watching the morning sun turn the dark water orange and pink and blue. Sonny keeps up his bright little chatter pretty much the whole hour, like a little wind-up toy that Liam prompts with a question every so often; about school, his guitar playing, football, girls-- Sonny’s got a couple of prospects but ‘nothing serious’, according to him. (Geezer, Liam thinks. He’ll be a right little lady killer, will Sonny G.)

When they finally get back to the villa, Liam can hear a bit of clatter from the kitchen, but the house is still dark and quiet. Sonny gives him a high-five and begs off for a shower and a couple more hours of sleep. 

“Oh, I almost forgot,” he turns back around and says in a sheepish voice: “Happy Birthday, Uncle Liam.” 

They hug, and Liam has to work hard not to cry. It makes him think about all the birthday parties he’s missed out on, and all the ones he’s going to get to go to from now on. And it’s all very happy and achy inside his chest. 

Sonny tromps back to his bunk. Liam watches him go, the sweaty parts of his hair sticking up from where Liam had hugged him too tight and ruffled his hair. He looks like a baby deer still, right at the age before they start to turn into men, when they still laugh at stupid jokes, and they’re not too cool for kid stuff and cartoons. So maybe Liam’s still got a bit of time left to be Sonny’s funny cool uncle. 

Anyway. It feels like the start to the best birthday ever.

reviewing spirit animatronics for 2023

i almost forgot again. but here we are

apparently the website doesnt display animatronics that are sold out so im trying to dig for them... this isnt a complete list im doin my best

anyway lets GOooooooo

Gourdo

im gonna start with my favorite look at this silly little guy. something about this design is just incredibly endearing to me and the stringy guts look pretty good in motion too. hes cute and i like him. his description says he was a guy who kept scaring everybody all the time and one day he scared an old lady who turned out to be a witch so she turned him into a pumpkin. and now hes stuck like this bc he could not behave himself. i love gourdo i want him 10/10

Eternal Rest

its a tombstone. theres a sad crying face and it turns into a skull face and screams at you. thats... thats it. it looks fine but its just really basic, this is doing nothing for me

Poor George

this guy was at my local store for a while. hes pretty fun, he flips around and his face changes. i like his funky stripes. makeup design looks extremely art the clown which is just making me wish they had him instead

its at least an attempt at a unique design. but according to his description, the story here is he was just a nice regular clown who had a terrible accident but somehow survived. you can see his bloody torso when he turns. this isn't a zombie clown monster, this is a man who desperately needs medical assistance

also no explanation for why he has two faces. he doesn't appear to be intentionally meant to be conjoined twins or something so if hes supposed to just be a regular guy im not sure whats going on there

they also came out with another killer klowns animatronic this year too, hes BIG but i dont have much to say about that one other than it looks good glad to see the klown rep increasing

i guess ill also mention here that they have a mars attacks alien figure now too, which doesn't really do much, it just moves its head a little but the lighting is cool and the design looks really good and seeing it inspired me to go watch the movie, so. shrugs. i like him

Heckles the Clown

here we have i think the first Sad Clown spirit animatronic? i cant think of any others ive seen. he kind of has creepy uncle energy but isn't really scary. hes just sad. he is a pathetic shell of a man weakly trying to sell his balloons and i just kind of feel bad for him. i did not notice in the store that his balloon actually has a light-up face in it which is cool. apparently according to his description hes actually using poison gas in his balloons which is a neat idea but is extremely unclear from the animatronic itself, i never would've known that if i hadn't read the description, so,

his face sculpt looks pretty good though. hes a pretty well designed figure i just think his whole deal is unclear and just makes me feel bad for him. help this man

Stilts

i do love a scary clown but all of these are starting to look pretty much the same to me. the colors are visually striking (i like the use of the blue accents especially) and i like the bloody bowling pins but at this point it's just kinda like, yep, that's another tall spooky clown. great for all your tall spooky clown needs but its not really that memorable. 4/10

Death Stalker

THIS thing however, looks sick as FUCK and i really want to see it in person. i dont know what the fuck that is. i love it. it breathes smoke and has way too many teeth. the description offhand mentions it lives behind an abandoned doll factory for no apparent reason. i love this thing 11/10

i think it might be built from the same body structure as their krampus figure that i also really liked

The Black Heart

ok i dont know about anyone else but i just find this one extremely confusing all around

he gives off protective dom skeleton boyfriend vibes. in the store i saw this and figured the woman was his victim and hes showing us his kill to threaten us, but it also looks like he's protecting her, so i didn't really get what was going on. the description says she tried to do some weird ritual ive never heard of where you lay in a grave and your true love will arrive to kiss you and wake you up snow white style at midnight, but instead she ended up with this guy as her "master" but it also refers to him as her "partner"

"the fuck did you just say about my wife"

so i guess they have some kind of bdsm relationship going on. which, y'know, if she's into that, id say good for her, but she doesn't move at all, she appears to be dead or unconscious. she also looks like she's emerging from his waist or something bc like, i guess they made her skirt the same color to hide that she's there until he reveals her, but i didnt even realize she had a lower body at all,

anyway the design is really confusing to look at and i don't really understand what their whole deal is. the faces look really good though. 5/10

Leatherface

leatherface in the HOUSE!!! i dont really have a lot to say here other than i think he looks great and i want you all to see him. 7/10

Darling Dolly

i fucking love this thing look at that. salad fingers doll monstrosity what the fuck is going on here. there was one in our store very briefly but it wasn't working and disappeared pretty quickly which just made it even weirder. this has a fantastic "what the FUCK IS THAT" factor and i just wish it had better functionality bc i was really excited to find out what it does and it turns out it pretty much just screams at you. i feel like a slower, creeping movement with spidery fingers and whispering sounds would have been more effective. its definitely scary though. i want more wild designs like this i love this thing

the backstory is... a little girl dug up a cursed doll in the yard and her mother tried to bury it back but got struck by lightning and became nightmareishly fused together with the evil doll which just. doesn't make sense to me i feel like trying to create an explanation for this figure is actively a detriment to it i like it better just as a Horrible Inexplicable Demon

good parallel with Jinman being like you must be responsible for your choices and Jian's decision to keep it meant she witnessed the cat's death and also her decision to trust Jeongmin over Brother resulted in her current predicament.

Jian was dumb to trust Jeongmin but people are seriously being too mean and flippant about her in the reddit on-air thread, makes me frown.

He probably leaves/runs away and that's why he finally goes to his family but Bale and the people are all chasing him and killing his family and want to kill him. because of him as a witness or some other reason? I think 13 years ago Jian was living with Jinman so it makes sense ig

I'm liking the backstory episdoes. I liked the backstory in earlier episodes of young Jian when people were dying and how her and Jinman interacted but then I got bored of the backstories in the middle of when she was a teenager because it felt like we weren't getting scenes that needed half the episode to itself but these two episodes were interesting to see why everything was happening and the story just interested me more. Interesting use of flashbacks though because in the earlier eps, we were doing 50-50 flashbacks and current time, both in Jian's POV but now we've done 100% flashbacks in Jinman's POV.

Last ep, 1 hour left, we'll see how they wrap it up.

okay, duh. ofc he's alive duh and comes right after Jian has managed to escape/survive/etc.

Kind of anticlimactic but tracks with what we've seen in the earlier eps I guess. Also, no Bale? Some people on the on-air thread said we're supposed to assume that maybe Jinman was fighting with Bale and that's why he's weak and bruised? idk.

Overall:

Interesting premise + interesting execution with all the flashbacks, especially because it was like eps 1 - 4: about half is flashbacks to Jian's childhood/growning up with Jinman/teenagehood in her POV, ep 5: Jeongmin's POV flashback for about half, eps 6 - 7: almost entirely Jinman POV flashbacks, ep 8: almost no flashbacks. I think I liked some of the early Jian's POV eps (ep 2 comes to mind) and quite enjoyed eps 6 - 7 which gave us more backstory. I do have to say the flashbacks cutting through the current action was sometimes bothersome, especially after we'd established important stuff in the first few eps and were showing stuff in the middle episodes that didn't need as much screentime, specifically Jian's teenage life. I thought ep 5 was also weak af.

I found Jinman intriguing and mysterious and understood him despite being frustrated with how he treated Jian at times. Jian I liked way more at the beginning but then started being kind of annoyed toward the end at times. Mihye was soooo cool.

It was a surprisingly funny show, especially in regard to how this is just a job for these mercenaries and killers lol

The ending was a bit anticlimactic in terms of how things were resolved + there was a bunch of important threads that were unfinished (aiming for a season 2?). I wasn't surprised by the ending but I don't know if they were aiming for that anyway, I think they knew the audience to predict it and were okay with it.

idk what to rate it, like it's fine, I liked it well enough, likely will never think about it again, but may watch season 2 if it ever airs. I guess I liked it more than Killed Paradox (I actually barely remember that show, esp the second half? nothing in my brain)

it started off GREAT. very eerie.. i had no clue abt the plot or anything btw i went into it completely blind.. so i had no idea if the movie was going for a realistic angle or a more supernatural angle. it rly reminded me of it follows 2014 not bc the fl was played by the same actress (it was) but bc everything that was happening seemed not quite real. like a dream. i loved that..

so ok. its p clear from the beginning that something is p weird (supernatural weird) abt this whole thing. the fl makes my suspicions grow bc shes some sort pf psychic so i though ok the killer is def some kind of hypnotist. i was wrong tho, whatever. lets skip a lot of stuff. plot twist it was the devil all along. i felt kinda silly bc im usually p good/fast understanding movies (esp this type of movies) but i was so confused by the end of this.. i was like huh.. wait what do you mean the devil is real in this story. it was rly easy to catch onto that btw i was just still expecting a psychic weirdo killer angle idk maybe i liked that idea more deep down lol? but it wasnt so my sister was like dude are you serious the devil was right there in one scene and i was like what. she went back to that scene. the devil was right there. oh ok. wait then what about the scene in which the mother shoots the dolls head why did she do that if the deal wasnt over. and what about the surviving victim why did she kill herself after the ball was out of the dolls head. oh god i almost forgot what abt the chief(?)s (no ok i literally cnt remember either his name nor job title im so sorry. yanno lees boss) did not even ONCE say smt like "oh hey my daughter has the same age n bd date than all the other daughters from the victim families. thats peculiar. lets take some measures maybe?" like forget that last part, why wasnt this even BROUGHT UP. another ridiculous thing abt this was the "birthday party" lee was invited to if thats even what you can call it.. most of the movie i was waiting for an actual party, with lots of people (STAKES, yknow?) but lee was literally the only person invited apparently?? what was up w that. also why didnt the fl shoot the dolls head at the bd party in the first place why did she wait until the dad started killing ppl. also the deal was supposed to end with the 13th victim i think so why did the mother say she will keep killing. me & my sister concluded well idk lets sleep on it i guess. yeah.

overall enjoyable and interesting, but i feel like the plot-twist reveal and the ending were a bit idk rushed?? like ill be quite honest i didnt feel anything abt the mother being the accomplice???? it was good in concept but was a bit lacking in execution.. like. why shud i even care.

Killer Week - Day 2 [Free Day]

it's his birthday today and i'm so happy aaaaaa he's so precious, he deserves all the love ❤ i had this cute little family scenario in my head so i thought: why not?

By the time you woke up, Killer wasn’t in bed already. Your husband used to wake up first to have breakfast and go to work. Since he worked at a mechanical workshop with Kid, he was always up early. The blonde always placed a kiss on your forehead, went to your kids’ bedroom and kissed their forehead as well, before leaving. This week was very busy, and you noticed Killer didn’t even mention anything about his birthday. Which made you assume he simply forgot.

But of course, you didn’t.

The day before, your kids made little drawings. Your daughter drew Killer holding a plate full of paste while the rest of the family were around him; your son drew him playing drums with their uncle Kid. They wrote “happy birthday, daddy” and signed their names. They did their best while being children, but it was full of love and dedication.

You got his birthday presents that were hidden in the wardrobe and bought some cake. The kids wanted white and blue balloons to decorate the house, a sign saying “happy birthday” and many candles. For dinner, you made pasta with peperoncino and prepared the living room, waiting for Killer to come home from work.

The door slowly opened, and as soon as Killer turned the lights on, he saw you holding a cake while singing happy birthday. The kids were singing happily, jumping and running towards him, hugging the blonde’s legs and showing him the drawings they made.

Your husband was speechless, to say at least.

— I… I forgot. Kid reminded me earlier this morning, and I… I assumed you forgot as well. — his voice was almost breaking, still in shock realizing how thankful he was.

— I would never forget your birthday, babe! — you smiled, moving closer and placing a chaste kiss on his lips.

Killer grew up thinking he would never find someone who would accept who he really was. The man was very insecure about many things, and at some point, he accepted the fact that he wouldn’t have someone that could love him.

That’s until he met you a few years ago. And now there he was, with a partner and children of his own. People who loved him, who cherished him and took care of him. He didn’t have just one person who loved him, he had three.

— Daddy? — your son’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts. — Are you okay?

With a soft smile on his lips, Killer held your son and daughter, making them giggle.

— I’m just very happy. The birthday cards are very beautiful. — the blonde said, feeling his heart full of love. — I loved them. Thank you.

After dinner, you ate cake and Killer opened his presents. Some of them were things he mentioned he needed or wanted, the others were homemade, like pictures of the four of you together so he could take to work.

The man never cried, but it took him a lot to hold back the tears this time.

— Did you like the presents? — you smiled, playing with his blonde hair.

He nodded.

— You know I’m not cliché, right? — he asked, making you tilt your head, not knowing where this was going. — But the best present I could ask for is you and the kids. Thank you for giving me this family. I love you, the three of you.

Oof pregnancy and parenting headcanon make me so soft, thank you very much for this sweet request🥺! I focussed a bit more on the pregnancy part rather than the parenting tho since I've written something similiar for Kid and Law already😅 Hope what I came up with suits you, and sorry for the long wait!

How they deal with a pregnant gf and having a baby headcanon

Trafalgar Law

because of his medical knowledge and observant nature, Law actually noticed the first signs of your pregnancy even before you did

so when you finally realize that you're pregnant and go to confront him with your discovery, he's anything but surprised

"Law, I need to tell you something. I'm-"

"Pregnant? Yeah, I thought so."

he looks pretty unbothered and composed, almost as if this isn't anything new to him, but on the inside he is completely tense and filled with anxiety. A baby just doesn't fit into your pirate lives. At all. However he doesn't want to show his true feelings and possibly cause you to panic. You already got enough on your plate with all the new physical and hormonal changes you're about to go through

personally Law didn't plan on having kids, ever, but what's done is done. To make sure that this is really what you want he'd still offer you the option of an abortion, but when you decline and tell him that you want to keep the child, he accepts your decision

"Alright (Y/N), brace yourself then. A few major changes are upon us..."

everything from the beginning of your pregnancy to the date of birth is planned out by him. Law doesn't want anything to go wrong and refuses to take risks. That means you'll spend most of your time either stuck by his side or in the proximity of another member of the Heart Pirates

Bepo, Penguin and Shachi are super excited for the kid and to be uncles. They all come up with their own ideas on what they'll do with the baby once it's born, and their enthusiasm sort of puts Law at ease. This means he and you at least won't have to deal with everything by yourselves

when you actually go into labour, Law's composed facade drops for a moment and he reveals just how stressed he's been up until now

in order to properly assist you and be there for you while you're giving birth, he forces himself to imagine that this is just an ordinary operation. It's not his girlfriend having his baby, he's not about to be a father in a few minutes-

all the stress and anxiety instantly falls off of him when he first holds the new life you two created.

the first time Law looks down at his baby he's absolutely mesmerized. Sure it's still bloody and screeching its lungs out, but despite all odds it's looking completely healthy and is actually,,,, really adorable? Holy shit, how did he manage to make something so pure-looking-

after cleaning the baby and introducing it to its mother, he brings the little human over to Bepo and lets it rest in the bear's soft fur instead of wrapping it up in a blanket. Not only should that be far more comfortable for the tiny thing, but it's also the first bonding experience with uncle Bepo. And while the baby is sleeping, Law walks over to check in on you and tells you how great you did

as far as being a dad goes, Law belongs to the supportive but distant type. Whenever he's got the chance he'll try to spend time with his kid, but there are often other, more important things he has to take care of

however he's still a proud parent and lowkey hopes that the child will take an interest in his work when it gets older. It shouldn't come as a surprise that one of the first things your kid will be taught by Papa Law is how to dissect a frog

Eustass Kid

his immediate thought when you let him know that you're pregnant is "how can I make this unhappen"

look at him, Kid is not ready to be a dad. Especially when it comes to his level of maturity he's basically still a child himself-

no one on the Victoria Punk is prepared for the big news. Their captain made a baby. There will be a kid running around the ship. Oh shit, everyone better start learning to limit their use of profanities already-

initially Kid acts pretty grumpy throughout your pregnancy. He didn't want this, but it's still happening. And he can't do anything against it. He's almost acting like a pregnant woman himself-

can not and will not handle your cravings/mood swings. Whenever you start acting up he just gets completely irritated and quickly peaces out when he can't come up with a way to deal with you

but what started out as regret turns into excitement when he thinks about how awesome his kid would be. With him as dad and you as mom it's only natural that the result will be amazing

and thus he starts to be a bit more open-minded towards the whole situation. Heck, he even gets lowkey excited and starts building a few baby cribs and closets for the child!

unfortunately tho Kid is anything but compassionate during your pregnancy, and it gets especially bad when you start showing. His immature nature shines through and he makes quite a few indecent comments on how you look a balloon,,,

for some reason he also tends to be more horny than usual. Hey, you already got a bun in the oven, so there isn't anything else you need to worry about, right?

in contrast to how he treated you during your pregnancy, he's actually very supporting and motivating during birth

lmao but that's mostly because he's eagerly waiting between your legs for the kid to plop out and right into his arm like a Christmas present

it's almost like a lottery to him and he's super excited what the brat will look like

however nothing could have prepared Kid for the moment when he gets to hold the baby for the first time. The young man basically beams with pride and grins from one ear to the other while the baby cries like an alarm clock

Kid's first time holding the newborn in a nutshell:

"Hehe, it looks like we got a girl here, ey (Y/N)?"

"Kid... that's the baby's ass. You're holding it the wrong way around."

he definitely comes up with ridiculous names for the child, such as: "Eustass Explosion", "Eustass Chainsaw" and his personal favorite- "Eustass the Destroyer"

putting his excitement aside, the young pirate captain definitely has to grow into the role of a father. At first he almost treats the kid like some sort of new toy or pet

you'll never catch him changing even a single diaper. Most of the time Kid tells Killer to man up, cover the holes in his mask, and take care of it by himself if he really wants to be considered 'the best uncle'

despite his rowdy behaviour he is aware that the child is 'fragile' and usually makes sure to keep it away from any dangerous stuff, meaning that the workshop is off-limits for the little one. Kid also never uses his metal arm when he's playing with or holding the baby; instead he build a more authentic prosthetic that'll allow him to hold the child more properly

Roronoa Zoro

his eye almost pops out of its socket when you tell him

holy shit! Zoro of course knew that sex makes babies, but what are the odds of this happening to you?! Besides he always considered himself to be too controlled and restrained for that to work?! Damn?!?!

despite the initial shock he wants to do his best to help you through the pregnancy. After all he basically caused this-

however Zoro can't even find the way to the grocery store to get some diapers

someone send him help. And by help, I mean Chopper

the reindeer himself doesn't know too much about pregnancies, but he's more than happy to collect some first-hand experience and teaches Zoro all about how to be a dad and what's going on with your body

whenever you're near he keeps his swords sheathed and tucked away from you. Once your stomach starts popping he's wary that if he comes too close to you with a sharp thing you might burst or something

at night he keeps watch like a guard dog, his overprotectiveness shines through and he often refuses to go to sleep before you

you probably go into labour while he's out getting lost or fighting some marines, but once Zoro gets the news he almost drops his sword and hurries back to be with you

but he arrives almost an hour later because he got so excited that he forgot the way back to the Sunny

Zoro really wants to help you and Chopper deliver the baby. He's constantly repeating what the reindeer doc says to you and at some point, when your pain reaches its peak, he even suggets reaching down and pulling the baby out of you with his own two hands lol

but once the first cries fill the rooms, he freezes up. It's done. Those nine months of worry, mood swings, suffering and cravings are finally over. A wave of relief washes over him as he smirks down at you, quietly saying how proud he is

however Zoro strongly refuses to hold his baby at first. He's genuinely scared he might drop it or accidentally crush it.

you and Chopper basically have to yell at him to get him out of his trance and convince the new father to take a look at his child

"Zoro, I did not go through hours of pain just so you can say no to holding our baby. For crying out loud, take your child!"

the second you put the baby into his arms Zoro's protective dad instincts kick in and now he refuses to let the child go again lmao

he's mustering the little one's face like some abstract oil painting, unable to tear his gaze from it and proudly recognizing all the similarities between the baby and its parents

luckily Zoro got some natural dad skills under his belt, and you both share the responsibilities evenly

he's never opposed to changing diapers or feeding the baby, even if the first annoys him sometimes. He also keeps the baby around himself 24/7- during workouts he puts it onto his back, when he wanders around the little one sits on his shoulders, and when he takes a nap on the desk the baby lies on his chest

all of the other Strawhats are more than welcome to take care of the baby from time to time and bond with the newest family crewmember to their heart's content. Well, that goes for everyone except Sanji. You better not let Zoro catch him handling the baby or a fight will break out-

Uncle Billy:all right kids grab your stuff, we are meeting your parents for dinner and we need to get going.

Glen: almost ready.

Glenda: glen always takes forever. hurry it up will you.

Glen: I’m ready I’m ready.

Uncle Billy:perfect timing, I think Kurt just pulled up.

(As the three exit the door, billy notices a small tape on the porch with a small note. The note reads-

“Let’s play a game”

Billy grabs the tape before the twins see it.)

Uncle Billy:you guys get in the car, I just need to run in a get something that I forgot.

Glenda: ok but be quick, I don’t want to be late to dinner.

Glen: yeah uncle billy, I haven’t seen mom and day in a while. I’m super excited!

Uncle Billy: will do kiddos.

(Billy steps in side and shuts the door. He runs to a drawer and quickly grabs a tape player. Without hesitation, Billy puts the tape in the player.)

Jigsaw(on tape): hello John Kramer… or should I say “uncle Billy.” You have spent the past 15 years hiding… hiding behind children and dolls. You thought that you could escape your game, but you were wrong. I will have my game… and you will play. You will tell no one about this tape, if you do, I will kill the kids that you have been tasked with protecting. You lost your own child… can you protect someone else’s. Remember, you are only a small piece of a bigger puzzle. Will you risk the life of two kids or will you do your job… the choice is yours.

Uncle Billy: god damnit Amanda!

(In side the Uber car.)

Glenda: hi Kurt, how has the driveling game been?

Kurt kunkle: Been way better since I opened this Uber service for killers. Who knew that slashers needed an Uber so muc- STOP!

Glen: what!

Kurt Kunkle: only drink water from the right side!

Glenda:(wide eyed)why, what wrong with the left side?

Kurt Kunkle: The left side is… um… funky.

Glen: what the hell does that mean!?!

Kurt Kunkle: don’t worry about, just DO. NOT. DRINK. IT.

(Glenda grabs a water bottle for the left side and puts it in their purse. Glen rolls their eyes at Glenda. They both notice Uncle Billy on his way to the car.)

Glen: here comes uncle Billy:

Kurt Kunkle: perfect.

(Uncle Billy jumps up to open the car door. Glen picks up billy and sits him in the middle of them and Glenda.)

Kurt Kunkle: ready mister uncle Billy?

Uncle Billy: (annoyed) hit it Kunkle.

Magnum 3.15 - “Before the Fall”

1) Magnum being adorable and we getting some stuff from his past - love it! Bernardo seems like a great guy I can’t believe how much I want Magnum and Higgins going to his wedding next season. (It’s going on my season 4 Wishlist). 

2) I guess I official completely hate Ethan now. Dude. Come on.

Side not on this, Perdie gave me lots of emotions with this scene and the whole “that’s not what I want!” I may now hate Ethan but I kinda just want him to say sorry and hug her and be all “I luv you and I’m not going to Africa” because crying Higgy just makes me so sad (but I also hate him now so I don’t want that but you know)!

Just look at my poor baby all teary eyed!

 Second side note: how they gonna work this into “.... Ethan asks Higgins to join him on an extended trip for Doctors Without Borders just as Magnum starts to open up to other possibilities.” Like that’s a quick turn around from “I want to leave to get some time away from you because I don’t trust you”. I’m just saying... 

3) third is a bit of a rant because Was the theme of this episode somehow “men do terrible things to women because they think it’s all about them and we’re supposed to feel sorry for them?“ 

Because we got a) girl hiking gets 'accidentally’ killed by her dad for investigating her best friend’s murder and not being willing to cover up the fact that b) her best friend was murdered by hiker girl’s brother for not returning his romantic feelings c) Juliet, after telling Ethan about her past gets ghosted for 24h then basically ‘I no longer trust you so I’m leaving’ by Ethan. 

Juliet’s case is obviously not as bad. But they’re all is shown as sympathetic, we’re meant to feel bad for them because they killed/hurt these women. Sad music plays and it’s almost like we’re supposed to “get it”. Feel bad for him. And we do. But he killed his own daughter when she was trying to find justice for her best friend. I feel sadder for her.

It’s not cool to kill someone. Even if a woman rejects you, can’t keep a secret, kept too many… (or well, at least Ethan only stuck an emotional knife in Higgy’s heart. I mean I guess he’s allowed his feelings even if they’re kinda stupid.) And I know that wasn’t what they were saying but I still felt like everyone was so understanding to brother and the father.

At the same time I really ‘like’ that we have this double whammy of realistic ways/ reason women are killed by the men in their lives. Because fun fact for all my ladies out there if you’re going to get killed  64% out of 100% times it’s your husband, brother, father, boyfriend, date is going to be the killer. Good times. IDK if I’ve been on the tiktok ‘feminisms’ tag too long but this episode felt like it was kind of representative of “normal” guys killing women. Not serial killers, just a dad killing his own daughter on accident because he was trying to protect his son. 

4) I guess actual theme of the episode was more like “people will not act the way you expect them to because we got a lot of layers and in the end it’s the people we care about the most that hurt us but also help us grow and change” with TC asking Shammy to pilot for him and him freaking a bit over that and both Rick/TC being a little hurt but then understanding, Magnum pushing his uncle to tell him about his ‘true love’ and finding it was his mother and reacting to that and feeling betrayed but eventually figuring it out it’s OK and finally Juliet deciding to trust Ethan and that not really working out for her at all. Even the case, with it being the dead girl’s own brother and father fits in here.

5) The scene from the sneak peek turned out to maybe be my favorite of the episode

Like come on he’s all “Magnum’s been telling me all about how great you are” and she’s like “don’t believe a word of it”

I mean she’s super snarky, maybe a little bit more than how she’s been lately because she’s been a bit softer, (but I’m figuring know she’s a little extra prickly because of sharing secrets with Ethan the night before and him not taking it super well.) But I love them being snarky and bickering.

Uncle Bernardo knows what’s up!

I liked the “No way, we can handle it, Thomas has been looking forward to your visit for weeks” moment too.

She might be bantering and being her normal British Higgy self but she’s also really excited for Magnum to be getting to spend some time with family. Prepping the extra fancy room for him, coming to say hi when he first arrived, being all ‘no no you guys spend time we got this’ (because you know, gotta make sure to make a good impression on the future in-laws...) 

Part of me wishes we’d gotten a little bit more of a Higgy talks about what she’s feeling with TC or Magnum. But at the same time that’s not her. Well, maybe with Thomas she might have but IDK, maybe it was best to save that for 3.16 and the ‘break up/ doctors without borders’ situation we’re about to find ourselves in...

(And is it because it was two weeks of missing my babies but is Higgy looking extra fine? Like even crying I’m like man she’s so hot! Did they change he eyebrows? New foundation? Also is her hair a little longer? IDK, I guess she’s just hot and I forgot... 

(Speaking of hair, can we talk about the little side braid thing? Why do I love it so much?)

Yeah, over all I liked this episode.

Despite not that much Miggy and crying Juliet at the end. I do really apricate all the heart-eyes from Magnum lately. 

Like we cannot go one scene or even a phone call without him just making me go ‘wow, if you looked up ‘guy in love’ in the dictionary, this is what you’d get’ because come on! Magnum and Higgy do feel a little bit more distant in 14+15 compared to 11-13. 

Now all we have is a week of anxiety until the season finale and then a whole lot of waiting! Is it weird I both want it to be next week right this second and for it to be like a month from now because 3.16 is the last episode until the fall!

What's remaining is him trying to figure out how to deal with this collaboration of two rival corporations that don't belong together and work on the side of the woman he never knew would ever be referred to as his partner in crime while they are dragged into a mess bigger than what they were trained to handle.

It was about time Harrison Osterfield would learn the difference between a good day and a bad day. Or to put it more clearly— the worst day of his life. The moment he stepped inside the four walls of his mansion, all eyes flashed in his direction. The two guards that accompanied him stood by the door, while he moved closer to his spectators.

The place was quiet and dimly lit. Nothing unusual. Except for the people living in it who suddenly felt the need to stand in a half circle imitating school children being punished for not wearing their PE uniforms. The air in the room felt musty and the walls too dark for being painted white. Harrison could easily hear the sound of his shoes softly hitting the marble floor.

He glanced down at himself.

Probably he could have gotten shot or stabbed. And like such dramatic events unfold in movies, he expected a similar sequence of events to happen to him. An action hero returning from a life-threatening mission but he didn't notice the bullet wound piercing the side of his abdomen and when he touches the spot, his hands would be dripping with that infamous red fluid and then he would hit the ground and die in the pool of his own blood.

Nah, Harrison wasn't this lucky. Someone, for sure, died today but it wasn't him.

His eyes roamed, capturing every single of the eleven people standing in front of him. Nine furious killers, one receptionist and one secretary. All of them having the same silent expression taped on their faces. He caught the eye of his first in command— Thomas Holland. But Tom just stood there with his hands clasped to his front and head slightly bent down. That was enough to piss him off.

It didn't take him long to notice the only major person missing from the scene. With gritted teeth, he swallowed his spit. "Where the hell is Clarke?" His tone wasn't any close to yelling but it for sure was full of venom.

"Sir..." Felicity, Clarke's secretary, stepped forward but Harrison stopped her with his hand in the air. He didn't care about turning in her direction, letting only his eyes to glance at her sideways, accompanied by a raised brow.

"No bullshit. Just straight to the point." Harrison demanded, words strictly separated with clear pauses.

"I am sorry, Mister Osterfield--"

Harrison hissed at the five unnecessary words she chose to initiate her sentence with, halting her abruptly altogether. The girl was definitely terrified.

His repetitive attempts to establish his dominance over everyone. Tom hated it to his guts. Luckily, Harrison's attitude never terrified him, so he stepped forward, shielding Felicity, making Harrison's tough gaze fall on his tougher one.

"Lufian Clarke was found dead in his room at 10 am, this morning." There was no ounce of hesitation on Tom's face.

Harrison's eyes slightly narrowed at Tom's declaration but the words failed to make immediate sense in his head. He noted the time on the clock above the reception.

11:13 am

He wanted to laugh.

As stupid as it may sound, Harrison had never considered his uncle to be the type that would ever die, especially in his own bed, refusing to wake up one morning. But death was inevitable. But that man also took two shots to his chest and came out alive.

Harrison refused to believe. That bastard must be on a vacation in Bali and these fools must have fallen right into his trap. Pathetic.

"He is dead, Harrison. I have confirmed it." Tuwaine tentatively clarified and Harrison bit the inside of his mouth, his nostrils flaring. He believed in Tuwaine. He had reasons to.

He unclenched his fists, relaxing his popping veins, shutting his eyes momentarily. But his voice reacted differently, devoid of any soreness— "Get his body ready for the funeral," as he walked past the men.

Julian, the youngest of the men swallowed, raising his head in wonder. "Won't you be attending it?"

He didn't bother replying. He instead answered by smashing the bowl of glass pellets from the reception table to the floor.

It was part fascinating and part agitating how sharply death could influence our opinion on the person in question. Lufian Clarke sucked. Lufian Clarke was a pain in the ass. But Lufian Clarke was the closest Harrison had to a father. And Lufian Clarke was dead.

Harrison would have calmly accepted Lufian's death if only it was not for the seven-paged will he left on his table. A fortune worth billions summed up in seven pages. Seven pages that should have only and only addressed one person's name apart from Lufian's own. But that wasn't the case.

The will was cut into half and only one half was named to him. The other half that rightfully also belonged to him was named to one of their first hand rivals. The one Clarke had himself taught to despise.

Sandhya Omar. The name stuck out like a sore thumb. The way his tongue hit his palette burned his gut, exploding into a fire deep within his chest. Those fools weren't standing like zombies in the hall for Clarke's death, they were there for the will, afraid of Harrison's response to Clarke's decision.

He yanked his tie, tore off his navy blue blazer and threw it over Clarke's now unused study and shoved back his perfectly gelled dirty-blond hair that fell over one of his blue irises. The climate outside the window was in stark contrast to that of the dead man's room. Harrison watched his men pushing Clarke's coffin into the grave as the seven pages crumbled in his fist. He caught Tom's eye again, and this time Tom didn't look down but up, presumably noticing the papers in Harrison's hand. The following moment he dropped the window blinds.

It was still time for the darkness to take over the cerulean sky but Harrison's heart was already captured in the night. A little knock could not bring his heart back to the bright blue day. Yet, it could bring back his mind.

Harry Holland was at the door, as Harrison rightfully anticipated. He was amongst Clarke's top assassins and conveniently enough, he was also Tom's younger brother. Harrison's lips twisted into a half grin as he walked up to the red head, rolling his uncle's will in his hand and flicking the watch on his wrist. Even when the two brothers had similar warm brown eyes, Harry lacked the cold, unafraid expression that his brother carried. That pleased him.

"Well, there appears to be something you guys forgot to tell me." Harrison remarked in an accusatory tone, tapping the documents over the study. Harry was quick to notice the papers and decipher what they meant.

He hesitated for a second, "We wanted to tell you about--"

Harrison tilted his neck to the side, leaning by the table.

"About what?" His wrath went as quickly as it had appeared, leaving him with a hollowing coldness and a smirk that said nothing and all at once.

"Sandhya O--"

"Kill her."

Dreamer

Summary:Peter Parker/Felicia Hardy High School AU; you and your soulmate share dreams/memories

Peter’s not sure why he keeps getting dreams of gymnastic mats. When his aunt sits him down and explains soulmates, explains how they share dreams and memories, that it usually happens whenever you turn fifteen for some reason he understands. He wonders if his soulmate gets dreams of him roof running.

Felicia doesn’t really know if her soulmate actually does parkour or not, the dreams she has feel too concrete to be anything but memories, but the fact her soulmate never seems to get hurt makes her think the idea is more fanciful than reality. Her father isn’t around to explain but she learns what she needs to from the internet.

The grass is pink, and the sky is a deep navy, almost black. Peter’s relieved, this is very much a dream and he wonders what he can control, seeing as it is not his dream.

“Hello?” He frowns when a young girl appears, she can’t be older than seven and she shivers a little.

“Hey.”

“Why are you a kid?”

“Oh. I guess it’s so we don’t recognise each other, that would make it too easy for everyone to find their soulmate.” The girl nods but then smiles offering out her hand. Peter takes it and when they touch he sees a flicker of a girl his age, smiling at him before his vision returns to the child in front of him.

“I saw you, you’re my age.”

“Yeah, we have to be, well at least the same age I guess, that nightmare about the math test was killer. Saved me though, I forgot I had one the day after so at least I got a few minutes of studying  in before ——– gave out the test.” Peter laughs as the name of his teacher is blanked out.

“Right no names. Hmmm I wonder about places.”

“Oh no, but I can change where we are, guess if you live there!” She grins and he nods excitedly. The sky and grass morph to the middle of time square and Peter laughs nodding.

“Not as central, a little bit out but close.” The girl grins and laughs as Peter jumps a little as she suddenly looks twelve instead of seven.

“The closer we are to figuring out who the other is, the closer we look to our true selves.” She grins but then Peter finds himself opening his eyes in his own bed.

“I never asked about the gymnastics, dammit.” he scowls and Ned laughs tilting his head.

“Your soulmate then?”

“Yeah, I guess there’s some sort of competition coming up because the last few memories have been the gym she trains at I guess.”

“Well you know where she lives, here. So just-”

“You really think I can just go to every gym in New York and hope they have the exact striped gym mats that I’ve been having haunting me.”

“Striped? The only person I can think that has striped gym mats is Felicia. She’s loaded enough to get them custom made.” It’s Gwen who informs him and Peter stares.

“Why did you need to know that?”

“My soulmate dreams are-”

“No fucking way your soulmate is Felcia Hardy, she’s like, Jesus Peter she’s like every popular girl trope thrown into one vicious catlike monster.”

“She’s not-” Peter struggles to figure out how to say something but the bell rings.

It’s his dream this time, he knows because he’s thinking about the pretzels from that cart on fifth and then it appears. He also realizes he was right with his guess when Felicia Hardy is perched on a wall, tilting her head at him and drumming her nails on the bricks.

“So looks like you figured it out, what tipped you off?”

“The gymnastic mats, apparently you’re the only person with striped ones.” She laughs, nods and jumps down.

“Do you really do parkour and roof running?”

“Yes, it helps me calm down, do you really do all those flips in a row?”

“Yes.” She grins and then vanishes and Peter frowns, he was hoping to talk with her more here, he knows she won’t have anything to do with him in school.

It seems the universe loves to prove him wrong as the first thing he sees when he makes it into the school building is Felicia standing by his locker and then she runs over to him, pulling him into a hug,

“Peter. It’s so good to finally meet you.” She holds the hug a little longer than he feels like she should but then he remembers the nightmares they both shared, his uncle being gunned down, her father being dragged to prison, he squeezes her hand when they finally stop hugging.

“So, maybe I can show you a few moves?” She grins at him and he laughs nodding.

“Only if I can use the fancy striped mats.”

“In your dreams.” She winks back at him.
