“What are you writing, Schatje?” Max asks, sliding onto the piano bench beside you.

“I wrote a song based on my vows,” you tell him, writing down the last couple chords, humming a rhythm to yourself.

Max, ever since I met you, I knew you were special. You’re my fire and my safety, you never try to break me, and you promise to always stay. I promise those same things to you. I don’t want to live without you, I never want to learn how to fall asleep without you, I want to be in love with you forever. You are my forever.

“Play it for me?” he asks when you finish, pressing a kiss to your shoulder. You nod, gently pressing the keys, mentally noting the kinks to fix before recording tomorrow. “It’s beautiful, the fans are going to love it, I love it,” Max compliments and you grin at him.

“I’m excited to announce the album and tour, and I’m glad we follow F1 around Europe. I get to spend more of summer with you that way,” you lean on his shoulder. You dedicated the album to him, and your third record is set to be the best selling one yet.

You took the unconventional route and took his last name after marrying him this year, despite having two hit albums and international fame. You still publish under your maiden name, but the name change caused a lot of shock.

You became an international superstar with your first release and it’s only grown since. Despite your relationship with Max spanning most of your music career, the both of you are able to spend a relatively low profile life in Monaco. Everything you record in the studio down the street is sent to your Hollywood label and released from there.

The next few months see you doing press for the surprise drop that was your bestselling third album and hyping the tour. Tour rehearsals fell during training time for Max and the both of you were going nonstop.

“I have to go to bed, Schatje, love you,” Max yawns over Facetime, you wish him goodnight as you stretch for your last show in North America. Tomorrow you jet to Europe to pick up that leg of the tour.

By the time you reach London, your tour has officially lined up with F1, which means your personal box near the stage is full of drivers, who likely are being bombarded with autograph requests. You slip into your black, sparkly bodysuit and matching hells; hair, makeup, and nails perfectly done; and grab your matching microphone before heading to your mark under the stage. The roar of the crowd energized you as the intro video plays.

“Come on London, let’s have some fun,” you say into the mic before smoke fills the stage above you and the trap door opens, the platform beneath you rising you up. You launch into your opening act. Half an hour later, after prancing and dancing and singing around the stage you take a pause to introduce the next act. The crowd cheers loudly before you have a chance to speak. You look around, smiling at everyone even if you can’t see them.

“London, thank you, my name is Y/n Verstappen, that’s my show for tonight,” you tease, the crowd silences. “Nah, I’m kidding. I wouldn’t leave you hanging like that, not when you are one of the best crowds I’ve had on tour,” you tell them, giving them a second to cheer.

“Since you have been such a great host, I wanted to share something special about this next song, something not many people know, but not quite yet. Quick shoutout to the F1 drivers here tonight, including my handsome husband, y’all are cool. But not as cool as everyone else here,” you purposely leave them hanging a little, blowing a kiss in the direction of Max.

“Alright, so, this next song is not only the title of my new album, but I also took parts of my vows and wrote them into the song. I hope you like it,” you say and the crowd cheers as the first chords play behind you.

“Thank you, London! Goodnight!” After the concert, you rush backstage and into Max’s open arms.

“You were incredible, Liefje” Max kisses you. Charles jokingly gags behind you.

“Thank you, Maxie,” you whisper, hugging him tight. Your assistant hands you a towel to put around your neck and a bottle of water which you happily take.

“You had a great show,” the other drivers tell you, all complimenting the show and thanking you for the tickets. You thank them for attending and excuse yourself so you could change. Max reminds them of the post-show dinner and club plans and carries you to your dressing room. You collapse on the couch, as Max chuckles at your dramatics.

“I swear the best part of a show is laying down after,” you groan and Max gently takes off your heels causing you to moan in relief.

“Y/n! People are going to think we are doing things in here,” Max laughs, you wave him off, changing into comfy but club appropriate clothes. Max helps you take off your stage makeup, and redoes your hair as you put a little bit of normal makeup on.

“Ready, Maxie?” you ask, grabbing your purse. It is nice knowing that assistants will take everything back to the hotel for you.

“I promise I will always come back home to you, I know my driving style is agressive, but I won’t make you learn how to fall asleep without me,” Max says, his hands holding your face gently.

“I know, but I will always be scared when you are on the track. You can’t promise nothing will happen, but I know you will always try,” you tell him, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. You stay in his embrace for a minute until rejoining half of the paddock. I can be in love forever, if I die first…

So, I don't know why I am posting this but I had this in my heart since a long time. So, bear with me.

I read Princess and the Queen and Fire and Blood back in 2019, after GoT ended for more content. And I got to know about The Dance from Tumblr, the awesome artists and fanarts.

When I read those books, I felt for Rhaenyra. No I don't have a step mother but Rhaenyra felt alone, like her mother died and her father remarried, her new step mom was first kind and loving but then after a brother all that changed.

I can't blame book Rhaenyra for not having good relationship with her siblings, she was a child, just like them and the world was trying to replace her with them just as her mother had been replaced. (When my brother was born, I felt the same and we don't have the best relationship even now, but you know whose fault is that? Adults. Adults who love to compare and pity siblings against siblings)

Why Viserys never tried to mend the relationship between his eldest son and daughter? Even Alicent tried. And then Daemon evidently manipulated Rhaenyra more to hate her siblings for his own benefit. He was pushed down in succession. (He should never have been in succession)

Then Rhaenyra grows older, bold and doing as she like, fighting her step mother, beefing with her siblings and people are following her. She is being courted and has freedom in that era.

I liked book Rhaenyra because she seemed ruthless. She wasn't trying to pretend being good, she was ambitious, she was fighting for the throne because her father chose her. Not because of a stupid prophecy. We all know how that ended. She wanted the throne. (I will eat my brother alive if my father chose me for something and not him). She was unhinged.

And I liked that about her. I liked Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. She was greatly flawed, she offered her brothers for Laenor, she fed a man to her dragon, she hosted a lavish feast in a starving city, she was a woman and let men do the fighting. She was a mother and did everything to protect her children (foolishly though). She faced death with bravery and didn't begged and didn't offered negotiation, didn't ran. A true dragon. Like those menacing cruel dragons?

And then HotD gave us...

1) 'I rather serve as a knight and ride to battle and glory' but she isn't train with swords. If she wants that then why isn't she trained? Was this to appease Arya's fans? Also this message of feminism, 'a woman only cool and worth something when she wants to be like men, Do what men does.' I am not saying this is bad but you are making her a feminist atleast let her appreciate females? Also, again, if she wanted to train with swords then why didn't she? Nobody stopped Visenya and Alyssa, no one would have stopped her.

2) On Aegon's nameday, enough people have said that already, Rhaenyra being mean to her two year old brother and acting like a spoilt child but I want to add this—

Everyone came there for Aegon, hoping Viserys will name him heir. HotD gave us Rhaenyra acting like a brat and then killing a boar and totally projecting her as a protagonist by showing White Hart, and sexy cool asf covered with blood. She could have made alliance, like book Rhaenyra would have mingled with everyone, dressed better than everyone, charming everyone. Not arguing with other ladies and lords.

3) Daemyra. Enough said. I never thought Book Rhaenyra and Book Daemon had any great love story, they were not even written as such. Nah, Rhaenyra desired Criston, tried to seduce him first. Daemon was only using her. He had one healthy relationship in the book and that was with Laena. They both came together because none of them considered Alicent and her children as their family too.

I hate this show for promoting them as some great tragic love. Nah, Rhaenyra needed his protection and Daemon wanted to be closer to the throne. Why didn't they let them be that? How are they going to justify as to why Daemon left Rhaenyra and his son alone to go die along with Aemond?

And if Daemyra is a great tragic love story why they got afraid to show Rhaenyra having Laenor murdered? Because that was the level of her craziness in the books, and that's in the character of Daemyra. That's 'I will do anything to be with you, for you' energy.

Gods, I thought Rhaenyra would be Cersei Lannister level in HotD, cool, snarky, awesome, beautiful, unhinged, fashion icon, doing everything for her children, doing everything for her and not shying away from the person she is, a necessary evil (like feeding Vaemond to Syrax). And incestuous. Of course Jaime x Cersei level of craziness in Daemyra?

In HotD... Emma and Milly did awesome job but their character was bland. Served to us by writers as 'a goody two shoes always right'. 'she can do nothing wrong.'

Why is media afraid of showing what women are? Why can we only be 'goody two shoes, patriarchy bad, I am awesome cause I am not like other girls' in feminist shows? Why can't they women as humans, as grey, ambitious? Why can't woman be anti hero? Rhaenyra is suffering from stereotyped blend of Arya and Dany.

Alicent is a fresh breath in that regard. But I hate the show for stripping away her agency and making her a crybaby. You are showing me that the Queen, who may or not have murdered Viserys, cried for him? That her, who plotted and plotted and led the Greens, crowned her daughter would not want her son to be king?

They even changed the dinner scene, everyone was supposed to make fun of the other party. No heartwarming and Aegon was supposed to fight Jace.

But make two female characters cry over each other, cry over men, abuse them, strip their agency, make the person you are trying to show as protag (she should not even be a protag) blander than water and call it a feminist show.

(HotD should not even be a feminist show, it should have been a family drama show. Imagine my embarrassment when I told my brother that I love Rhaenyra and I am just like her before the show started and by the end I was like ... Wow Aegon Second of His Name, I stan the One True King. Because he, despite they made him a monster is more interesting than Rhaenyra at this point.)

I was robbed. We were robbed of spicy hot pizza and instead given a bland cheese toast.

I refuse to eat bread, give me cake. Cersei, Margaery, Catelyn were cake, Alicent... She is the cookie. (Not adding Sansa because in the end of the show... Book Sansa is pastry.)

At this moment we all most cope. Thank you whoever read this. Also wanted to add, I was Team Woman but I can't stan this Rhaenyra. Nah.

Below the cut, @midsummer-semantics answered some questions about their writing process and some of their recommended work!

Why do you write Steddie?

I’ve somehow managed to make these guys my entire personality since they very very briefly interacted two years ago. Weirdly enough, I wasn’t even a huge fan of Steve until s4 (blasphemy, I know), but the Steddie brainrot took hold immediately and I feel like they’re genuinely such adaptable characters that putting them in a million different situations and seeing how they’d interact is one of the best parts.

What’s your favorite trope to READ?

Getting together, hands down. I will read them getting together in the same way a million times and never get tired of it, but everyone writes such interesting ways that it’s always good every single time.

What’s your favorite trope to WRITE?

Didn’t know they were dating. The small acts of domesticity that leads them to the realization they’ve basically been together without the kissing (and other things) all along it so fun and funny to me. Especially if it’s what leads to Steve’s sexual awakening.

What’s your favorite Steddie fic?

“Come what may (i will love you until my dying day)” by emurph_24. It changed my life in so many amazing ways and I credit that fic as the reason why I got into the fandom space itself and not just writing my little fics for funsies. Plus, the author is my wife now.

Is there a trope you’re excited to explore in a future work but haven’t yet?

Eventually I’d love to write a proper Getting Back Together fic, but I hate making them fight and break up so it’s going to take some mental and emotional gymnastics in order to do that first before the good thing happens.

What is your writing process like?

It varies. Either I start with a proper detailed outline, every major plot point I want to hit laid out with a checklist and I go through each part until I’ve hit them all. Or I have one single idea or inspirational quote/event/story I heard somewhere in mind and I just insert Steddie into it instead. The first one takes me weeks to get through. The second I usually end up writing 10k in a day. Either way, I talk through pretty much everything with Tara (TEDewitt) and Erin (emurph_24) before and during the writing, and they’re the best hype-people and betas anyone could ask for.

Do you have any writing quirks?

I almost always start fics with the name of the person whose point of view will be used within the first sentence. “Eddie Munson is a fool.” “They’ve been dancing around each other for months and it’s driving Eddie up the wall.” “Steve knows he and Eddie are close.” I’m not sure why I do that, but I think it just makes it easier on my brain to know right away whose brain I’m using. I also hope it makes things clearer for people who read my stuff.

Do you prefer posting when you’ve finished writing or on a schedule?

I tend to post when I finish writing (once Tara and Erin have had a chance to look through it), but I’d never published an entire fic chapter by chapter once it’s entirely written. I usually post chapters as I finish them, which makes me pretty bad about irregular updates (Sorry!). But I’ve been part of a few events now that have posting schedules and those have been WORLDS better about keeping me on track for things.

Which fic are you most proud of?

It’s a toss-up between “The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between,” “Free-Use Healthcare,” and “A Kind of Merry War.” The first is my longest fic and what I feel is the first real deep-dive into the characters, and it’s my baby. The second just did really really well and I’m still a little in shock by it. And the third was not only fun but everything I like to see in Shakespeare adaptations so it was a successful adaptation in my book.

How did you get the idea for Don't threaten me with a good time?

We all know the phrase “write what you know” and I’ve, frankly, lived a really weird life. So the story is literally just a Steddified version of a celebrity run-in I had on my birthday a few years back.

When writing The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between, what was something you didn’t expect?

I didn’t expect it to be as long as it is lol I mean, I knew it was going to be 22 chapters, but I didn’t really know going in how long those chapters would be.

What inspired The Fool, The World, and Everything in Between?

The major arcana, and my desire to write a fix-it of volume 2. I just really think Eddie deserved to live and the major arcana do tell “the fool’s story” so it was a great way to make that happen.

What was your favorite part to write from Dia de los Muertos?

The first kiss. Well, the entire thing was fun to write, but again, I’m a sucker for those boys getting together, and Eddie’s little panic attack when he surprise-kisses Steve the first time because he just can’t help it was so fun.

How do/did you feel writing Free-Use Health Care?

Like a horny goblin took over my brain and was controlling me Ratatouille-style until suddenly there was 10k words in less than 24 hours. It wasn’t even supposed to be two parts, it was only going to be one with an open ending, but I literally couldn’t stop thinking about a part 2 as I was writing part 1 so here we are.

What was the most difficult part of writing A Kind of Merry War?

Textual interpretation. I’m really familiar with Much Ado About Nothing from years of working with it, but trying to make the actual lines from the play that are featured in the fic make sense in a way that is easily understandable to non-Shakespeare fans without derailing the pacing or taking people out of the story was an insane balancing act. I like to think I nailed it, though.

Do you have a favorite scene and/or line from any of your fics?

In “Where lovers used to live (But they’ve been gone for quite some time)”, Steve finally gets to have the post-Eddie breakdown he deserves, but interwoven in that breakdown is repeated flooding of memories of how they got together before Eddie died. My favorite is when they’re getting a small moment in the RV just the two of them and Eddie is reading the Silmarillion to Steve, and Steve makes Eddie promise that when they survive the battle, they’ll run away together. Broke my own heart writing it, but god it was good.

Do you have any upcoming projects or fics you’d like to share/promote?

I always have something up my sleeve, but the current and most exciting is the Eddie Munson Big Bang. I’m working with helpimstuckposting on an omegaverse Practical Magic AU called “Pressure in Increments,” coming very soon!

Outside of these questions, Is there anything YOU would like to add?

I’ve really met some of the coolest people in the world through this fandom and I think their friendship has really helped this not die for me even when there’s times it gets overwhelming or I feel like I’m losing momentum to write. I know that no matter what else is going on, I have the boys and my friends in my corner, and that’s the best part of it all.

CHAPTER SEVEN · ruin our friendship

SYNOPSIS · everyone knew you were sunghoon's biggest fan— or so you claimed to be— it didn't take a scientist to guess after your nonstop gushing about him during enhypen's debut. now, they didn't know you found him 'so babygirl' not until you accidentally tweeted it on your main.

the weverse live went smoother than expected. 

well, it’s not like you had been anticipating some sort of commotion or whatsoever, but you did expect random bouts of awkwardness every ten to fifteen minutes because first, both you and sunghoon lie slightly towards the introvert side of the myers-briggs type indicator; and second, you both are aware of everything that has went down between the two of you in past two to three days. moreover, being awkward is natural when you’re meeting someone for the first time— which is not exactly true because you did meet sunghoon at the backstage of music bank from nine months ago when iris and enhypen were promoting their respective albums, but if greeting each other in hallways counts as meeting people then you probably have already met three-fourth of the industry. 

“i kind of imagined you as someone who prefers vanilla or something, instead of chocolate,” and you certainly didn’t expect sunghoon to take you out of ice cream just three hours before midnight. 

“i like all the flavours but nothing tops chocolate,” you say before eating another spoonful from your cup. “i even did a commercial for melona as a kid, although it’s not chocolate. you can still find it on youtube, i guess,” singing wasn’t really your forte, unlike acting. you’ve had quite an active childhood from the ‘job’ point of you, for you always had a few commercial shoots here and there every few months. your career as an actress didn’t blow up until after you had debuted in iris. even as a childhood actress, you only had minor to second lead roles except one in ‘crushed,’ which accounts for your first main role and also is the drama that brought you into the spotlight before debut. 

you feel sunghoon smile as he unlocks his phone to switch to another playlist— it’s for both of you since one of his’ airpods is with you and listening to music while having ice cream sounds like a perfect date, as friends, of course. though, you’d be lying if you claim your heart didn’t do a little something when sunghoon offered you his airpods. “why did you ask me to get ice cream with you, though?” 

“i just wanted to spend some time with you,” a pause. you stop on your way, albeit a few steps ahead of him, turning around to look at sunghoon’s flustered face that was adorned by the dim streetlights. a series of silence follows, a string of fluttering gazes along with heartbeats that could be heard clearly if they get any louder. before you could say anything, sunghoon stuffs his phone back into his pocket out of panic. “wait— don’t get me wrong. i mean, you’re cool and fun to be around so, you know— please don’t misunderstand,” 

and a soft chuckle falls off your lips. “jeez, hoon, you’re all good,”

the comforting silence never leaves, it’s rather amusing to the two of you. considering everything that has happened so far, from your silly tweet to him assuming you’re dating jaemin and everything that he ends up blabbering in front of you, anyone would end up getting awkward. fortunately, that isn’t the case for him. perhaps, the heavens are on his side, and maybe that is all he needs to muster up the courage to say his next words. “to be completely honest, ice cream was an excuse because i was sort of hoping we’d get to know each other better,” 

“yeah, i’d love that,” your voice isn’t much louder than a whisper, but you know your words reached him anyway. the smile dancing on his face holds numerous tales, if one could notice closely. “by the way, you still didn’t tell me the thing that could potentially ruin our friendship,” 

“i did, didn’t i? i texted you,” 

“and you want me to believe that?” you scoff, remembering his response. even if it was supposed to be a coverup, you did find yourself too stunned to react at that moment. “i mean, i won’t judge you for the things you like to be called and all, but we both know what you said back then was a lie,” 

another pause, another session of silence trailing around along with the slight tension lingering in the air. you look at sunghoon and he’s looking anywhere but at you. one second, his eyes are on the ground. the next, they’re traversing places with his lips pressed into a thin line. it’s when you realise how difficult it is to read his expression, an exasperated sigh falls off his lips. “okay, i think i’m being annoying, so i won’t force you, even though i’m—”

“you’re not annoying. also, i don’t think i’m ready to tell you so wait for me till then, and i promise i’ll tell you when the right time comes,” and it’s embarrassing how easily his words can fluster you. “besides, i don’t want to ruin our friendship yet,” even if you think you have a faint idea of what he might be hiding, you’d dare not get ahead of yourself because at the end of day, you and sunghoon are just friends. sure, you do like him a little more than friends but you’re almost convinced that it’s just a silly little celebrity crush. it’s not the first time you’re fawning over a celebrity, even if it’s your first time being so crazily interested in someone, but you like to think it’s a stage between strangers and friends, and nothing more. 

“oh, by the way, um, there’s ice cream on your lips,” he points the corner of his mouth with his index finger, hoping it would give you an idea, but when you miss the spot after a couple of attempts, assorting to your phone’s front camera to get a clearer look, sunghoon finds himself taking the tissue from your hand, proceeding to wipe the ice cream off your lips himself, completely and terribly unable to hide the blush on his cheeks. and the moment you tried to tell yourself that you aren’t in love, is when you realised you already were.

ྀི “oh my god, moa!” The arena light up with cheers while Joohyung was about to introduce herself. “Hi I’m Joohyung. Let’s have fun today!” Joohyung smiles brightly at the whole arena

ྀི Joohyung looked way more happier now then how she looked in the Seoul concerts which made moa feel good knowing that their Joohyung is in a better state than she was before

ྀི as Joohyung was going to shoot the confetti gun she saw Yeonjun just shot his straight at a moa, causing him to freak out making Joohyung not even shoot hers because she was laughing so hard at him. She did feel a little bad for the moa and even went to the side and asked if she was ok

ྀི Joohyung’s reaction to Soobin lifting up his shirt during ‘the killa’ made many laugh because she raised her eyebrow at his bold actions

ྀི during ‘growing pain’ Joohyung hit the drums so hard that some pieces went flying to moas on the side of the main stage. She did apologize during their ment and even asked if they were ok. “I accidentally went too hard on the drums,” she laughed. “And I saw some pieces go to moas over there. Are you guys ok?” Joohyung makes the ‘ok’ gesture at them. “Yeah? Ok, that’s good I was worrying the whole time. I’m sorry again.”

ྀི it was encore time so during ‘moa dairy’ Joohyung was pointing at the sections all the way to the top and making them do the ‘dubaddu wari wari’ dance

ྀི “is it ok if we call you Honey? Since it’s your english name.” A moa asked while Joohyung was signing her pc. “Of course you can. I actually been liking being call Honey instead of Joohyung.” Joohyung smiled at the moa

ྀི Joohyung was making sure to sign and interact with everyone that was also in the back. “Is it ok if I stretch over you a bit?” Joohyung asked the moas in barricade. “It’s ok!” They immediately tried to move to the side so Joohyung can get to the moas in the back

ྀི “can we take a photo?” A moa with an iPhone asked. Joohyung took a quick glance at the staff before saying ‘yes’ even though she wasn’t suppose to. She wasn’t following the rules because she honestly didn’t care for them, “yah I’ll hold the phone if you want.”

ྀི “before I go I have two guest with me!” Joohyung finally wanted to show moas her two babies. Joohyung quickly ran to the door and carefully got her babies, “everyone has to be quiet, ok.” Moas listened and Joohyung walked back out with both Bibi and Poki. Gently gasped came out of moas who finally got to see the two famous cats

ྀི as it was windy during the concert the members were getting attacked by the streamers while performing ‘magic’, and after the song was done Joohyung, Yeonjun, and Beomgyu took the opportunity to walk like if they were in a runway with the streamers wrapped around them

She also kept on calling Beomgyu handsome even with a little tissue up his nose which he was embarrassed about. “What? ྀི while all the members were giving sexy expressions at the end of ‘tinnitus’ Joohyung gave her iconic cute cat ears with her sticking her tongue out a little pose, making moas scream

ྀི even during ‘puma’ Joohyung took off her leather jacket because again she felt her body was overheating, but she accidentally threw it too out and the moas at barricade got a hold of it which staff quickly snatched it back

ྀི as Joohyung and Yeonjun were so their high note for ‘growing pain’ she instantly got lightheaded after causing her to not head bang to the fullest, as if she did Joohyung would probably fall over with how dizzy she was already feeling

ྀི during ‘dreamer’ moas saw how Joohyung was looking sad and could see that she was having a hard time throughout the concert, so they were mouthing ‘you’re doing so well’, ‘we’re proud of you honey’, and ‘you’re our precious Jooie’. Joohyung warmly smiled at them and placed her hand over her heart mouthing back ‘thank you’

[Ft. Rook, Idia, and Sebek]

Rook

- In a moment of weakness on your part, you had asked Rook to help tutor you in the basics of etiquette in this world. Namely, you were just curious about the differences between your world and theirs- for example you mentioned once in a passing comment that it was common curtesy to open doors for people, even strangers, if they were going to be coming in after you. You've even done so when you were walking into class with some people behind you, but all that resulted in was weird looks from your classmates. And not even a thank you! And I mean, it's not like you were expecting to get a thank you, but at the very least, those people could try acting a little more polite! You recounted this story to Rook and he laughed, saying that such a courtesy is not only seen as a lowly servant's job, but it's also the fact that everyone at NRC are mages, so most people will just open the door with magic. - Anyway, so that's how you ended up here, receiving a lecture from Rook about etiquette and the importance of being elegant and beautiful- even more than you already are, at least. - You've been here for hours now, and your initial curiosity has basically evaporated into boredom with a strong longing to just go back to Ramshackle and relax. But you knew there was no way you were going to be able to escape, not with a hunter like Rook keeping his eyes on you like a hawk. - "Ah, mon coeur, it appears as though you've stopped listening! Non, non, mon beauté, this simply mustn't do! Why don't we practice something a little bit more engaging? Some dance lessons shall do just fine, allez!" - And then suddenly you were dragged out of your comfy chair as Rook leads you to the middle of the room to start his lesson with you. He's clearly been enjoying this, with the big smile that hasn't left his face since you've walked in. - So, despite how tired you feel, you accept his proposal to dance. I mean, how could you say no to his face which smiles so brightly that it puts even the sun to shame? - But of course, you also didn't really have the heart to tell Rook that you've never danced before- at least not like this. This formal type of dancing, with Rook's hand settled on your waist and gently holding your other as you two sway to the non-existent music- you don't have very much experience with it, not at all. - So it was only natural that you got stuck staring at Rook's face, again not paying attention to the words that he was speaking about how to waltz elegantly. Your body followed his movements and words on instinct, like you were stuck in a trace just so that you could focus on the one thing that was most important right now: him. - Alas, all good things must come to an end. While you were busy shamelessly staring at Rook as he led your dance, you tripped over your feet and landed face first on the floor. ....Why are we here, just to suffer? - You made no movements to get up, if only to hide the embarrassment ridden on your face. - "Rook, I think this is the end for me...Tell my wife I love her," you made a fake coughing noise, "And delete my search history." - God, how did you even get here? Falling to the floor is literally the last thing you want your crush to see you doing, and yet here you were- your only salvation is to joke about it and hope that Rook doesn't think of you any less for your terrible dancing skills. - But as you were wallowing, Rook simply smiles and picks you up off of the floor with a chuckle. You stare at him in surprise at his strength, as he literally just treated you as if you were as light as a stick. -"Oh là, là, mon beauté! Your dancing skills are truly magnifique! Especially for a first time, I must say you glided through the floor like you were the epitome of dance!" He says as he inspects you for any injuries, making sure to dust off and straighten your clothes in the process. "Vraiment élégante! S'il te plaît, mon coeur, dance with me again!" - Honestly, if your face could get any redder, it would. This man is going to kill you one day if you don't get your pounding heart under control.

Idia

- It was one of those rare days in which Idia was forced to go to class in person, and the two of you were literally watching the clock and counting down the time for the lunch bell to ring. - As it so happens, there was a new, special event that was only going to go live for 24 hours, but the gacha pool only had a limited amount of units that were going to be released per server. - If you two didn't hurry, then everyone else was going to snag this thing and you two would be left with nothing! Nothing but crushed hopes and dreams after months of saving specifically for this day. - Of course, Idia lost his chance to get it in class when Professor took his phone and chewed him out for using it during his lecture, and you didn't have the game downloaded on your phone yet (you really only played it when you were hanging out with Idia in his dorm room, after all). But you were both determined to get it. - When the clock strikes 12, the two of you were going to bolt out of there and make a break for his dorm room to hopefully make it in time. Idia would have to get his phone back later, right now the surest bet would be at his dorm, where he keeps several different computers so that you can try to get the thing too. - 11:58.....11:59.... 12:00!!! - The bell rings and the race to his room begins! - Alas, neither of you could really straight up run there, because if you got stopped by a hall monitor or a teacher, then that would be the end. So you two decided that the best way to go about it was to speed-walk there. - Oh, but you had almost forgotten about how enormously tall Idia is. His version of a "speed-walk" is basically your sprinting pace. You'd never notice because most of the time he's slouching, but this man stands at (183 cm/6'), and his legs are just so ridiculously long that you couldn't help but to fall behind simply because you weren't running. - And Idia notices this too, so in an attempt to help you, he decides to pinch at a loose piece of your clothing (this was already going out of his comfort zone, so don't expect him to just outright initiate physical contact without asking) and drag you forward to meet his pace. - Unfortunately, he failed to think his plan entirely through, as his grip on your clothes were not very tight and you were not expecting to be dragged like that. To make matters worse, the halls were also getting crowded as people were making their way to the cafeteria. - Long story short, Idia lost his grip, and you tripped over, getting lost within the crowd of people at the same time. Idia stops to look behind him in surprise to see you getting swallowed into the mob with a terror-stricken face. - "Go, Idia! This is your chance!" you cry out with fake tears escaping your eyes, "You're gonna have to leave me behind, but don't worry, I'll catch up with you. I won't die here...." You give him a tearful thumbs up as the surrounding students calmly walk around you. - He salutes you with tears in his own eyes, "Your sacrifice will not be forgotten." And he turns around to start full-on sprinting towards his destination. - And you stay there on the floor for another second before chuckling when you come to a certain realization: - "I have now both literally and figuratively fallen for him now, haven't I?"

Sebek

- Sebek, being the gentleman that he is, has decided to walk you back to Ramshackle after learning about Malleus' fondness towards the human who calls him 'Hornton.' - Of course, this has become a regular occurrence for the two of you now. Sebek still walks with you under the guise of making sure that you're not a threat to Malleus, but that's only because he doesn't know how to admit that he's become fond of you too. - The two of you were joking around, generally enjoying each other's company on your walk back home, when all of a sudden you find yourself falling to the ground. - You honestly have no idea what had happened to get you here, but what you do know is that following the few seconds after, Sebek is already yelling at the top of his lungs and interrogating the surrounding students who were unlucky enough to have seen you fall over. - "YOU! DID YOU TRIP THEM ON PURPOSE?" - So you just stayed on the floor, pitying the poor people he began to yell at for basically no reason as you began debating with yourself on the purpose of life. - For the most part though, you were just waiting to see how long it would take Sebek to stop for a moment to realize that you were still on the floor. - Ironically enough, it was when he started interrogating some other people when the ones who he just chewed out came over to you to ask if you were alright and if you needed help standing back up. - "WHAT ARE YOU DOING SO CLOSE TO THEM?? BACK AWAY THIS INSTANT, HUMAN!" Sebek yells (when is he not yelling?), this time actually scaring off the people he was just accusing of tripping you. - "ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" - "No, I think I must've broken my back falling for you." - "I'LL TAKE YOU TO THE INFIRMARY THIS INSTANT, AND THE ONES WHO DID THIS WILL NOT GET OFF LIGHTLY!" and just like that, your pick-up line is ignored as Sebek picks you up and begins to run over to the infirmary. Literally the only thing that you could think of now is the fact that, even if you weren't joking and you had actually broken your back, Sebek would probably have made it worse because this is definitely not the correct way to carry someone who's broken their back. In fact, you think, I don't think you're even supposed to pick them up in the first place. - Well, you wanted to tell Sebek that you were fine, that you were just messing with him when you said that. But at the same time, you kinda liked the feeling of having Sebek carrying you like this. It was rather comfy. - "Sebek, I have a first aid kit at Ramshackle that has some things that could help. It's closer than the infirmary, so let's just go there," you say, adjusting yourself so that you were more comfortable leaning against him. - He looks down at you and notices your peaceful-looking face- a face that does not say "help me I've just broken my back and I am in immense pain," and he finally takes a moment to think back on what you said earlier when he asked if you were alright. - With a dramatic gasp, his face flushes pink as he realizes what you had actually meant to say, and in his surprise, he accidentally lets you go too. - "Hey! Was that really necessary?" you pout as you fall to the ground, again, for the second time today. You look up from the ground to see his flustered face and you catch on that he finally figured out what you told him earlier. - "Sorry! You just caught me by surprise," Sebek states, his voice sounding quite meek in comparison to how it was earlier. - "You're going to have to make it up to me for dropping me like that, you know," you say, standing up and dusting yourself off lightly, "And my price is that you carry me back the rest of the way. That's the only way to make things even." - With a flushed face, Sebek nods and picks you up again, this time he became much more aware of how close he was holding you, but he noticed that, strangely enough, he didn't have any problems with it.

Just thinking about how many seagulls it would take to drown out the sound of Sebek's voice lol I'm thinking around 78, honestly

Another pleasant episode. It's really fun to see how much the Team has improved over the years while still being the show. It is a remaster so it's pretty much the same storyline, but the animation and editing and voice acting and so much more. Go show some appreciation for the Team!!

As much as I'm here for the loreeeeeeeee, I wouldn't mind if the rest of the year is just filled with silly episodes. it's the silly meme show after all... but Team, was it really necessary to remind me that these characters had trauma from previous episodes? well, guess what? it's day of the dead for me so your plan failed aha!!! /silly

Yeah, I do look too much into stuff sprinkled in the background or the episode in general, it's kinda my thing. Don't mind me overanalyzing the bingo numbers from the last episode. Anyway, it was nice of Ben (the thumbnail artist) to show some of the behind-the-scenes.

I saw that your asks for matchups were open and I wanted to have one from Twisted Wonderland if you don't mind! 😊

Some basic info: In terms of mbti and enneagram, I'd be an INFP 9w1. I'm often told that I'm easygoing and chill seeing as how I don't seem to stress or revise that much in my studies as an I.T student(hehe whoops..). I'm also very quiet to the point where sometimes people mistake me for being mute until I clarify that I'm not, leading to some people lightly teasing me that it'd make their day if they could hear my voice since I barely speak(I do say "Hi" back to them)🙉 But I DO get talkative but it's only really around my close circle of friends even though I do have some friendly acquaintances here and there. I've also been described as being somewhat of a "sweet girl" or "goody-two shoes" since I try to do my best in treating everyone with patience and trying to do the right thing by them since I do find helping people out fulfilling(also probably because I tend to follow rules a lot but there are times where I do slip up 👉��). As well as the fact that people have commented that they have rarely saw me angry and are always trying to see the other person's perspective on an issue, a "conscience angel" or "devil's advocate" if you will.

Hobbies: I like playing games on my phone and 3ds, drawing, reading, working out when I have the time and energy and I've only recently started practicing taekwondo!(I'm not good at it yet unfortunately, I'm a white belt for now..🙉) In terms of interests, I've always been interested in entomology, plants especially flowers 🌸, and just about the entirety of biology! So, expect a lot of nature documentaries whenever I'm watching something. If I'm not delving into biology, then I would be researching about parkour or martial arts since I've always been amazed at the different styles that are developed in these fields(and just how fluid and elegant the people executing these moves are✨).

What I don't like: I personally don't like sudden loud noises like popping balloons or people sneezing very loudly (the same cannot be said for let's say, a concert or dance party) I also tend to not like people who are impatient and are prone to complaining since I can't help but see them as childish or immature(sorry 😔) I tend to also not like people who get very cynical and pessimistic as although I do understand where they're coming from sometimes, I can't help but feel as though their cynicism can sometimes get in the way of making sound judgements since I'm a firm believer that being a hyper skeptic has it's own dangers of closing off to people and situations that could have brought you good if only you didn't let your hyper skepticism get in the way of taking that leap of faith🤷🏻‍♀️.

In a relationship: I'll be honest when I say that I haven't been in a relationship before so I'll start by saying that in terms of love languages, I like receiving words of affirmation and acts of service the most while acts of service and quality time are the main ways that I show my love for a person(romantic or not 😁). In a relationship, I prefer a more long-term commitment rather than a casual one since I do like the idea of getting married one day. I would like it very much if my partner was someone who's not overly clingy, as much as I love spending time with people that I care about, I'm still very much an introvert at heart and would still like to have my alone time 💅🏻💁🏻‍♀️. One undesirable trait in a partner for me would be someone who keeps me in the dark and doesn't talk to me about certain issues, as much as I dislike conflict and confrontation, I would rather prefer to face that than sensing that something is wrong and having no real way of helping because someone doesn't want to tell me what's bothering them(the anxiety kills me 😭🤧)

Appearance: I've no clue if this is of any help to you but, I'll include it just to give you a better visualization of what I look like 🤷🏻‍♀️

• I have long, black hair up to my hips I think

• I have round eyes with long lashes (people have commented that they wanna put mascara on me but I don't want to 🙉)

• In contrast to my hair, I have pretty fair skin so much so that I've sometimes been compared to Snow White

• Though I've only started working out recently, I've made a little progress in building muscles 💪🏻😁

• not much of an appearance but people have described me as "cute" and "pretty" before 😅

• I'm a bit on the shorter side: 5'3 to be exact

• In terms of style, I tend to wear a combination of black cargo pants, a white woven belt, a coquette inspired beaded necklace, a pink/black top, a pink/black coverup sleeves, and some white and pink sneakers with black compression socks underneath. It's something very simple, practical, and stylish for me to wear given my hobbies and lifestyle since I still want to dress pretty girly and feminine while still maintaining my need for mobility and functionality ✌🏻.

Then Saruhara was also but they also teasing him until he like leave me alone

Tsubasa apparently say he sort of still on a run, he came from Kyoto? Then he has a new hair duo he said Sononi did it for him.

Kijino was like EHHH YOURE CALLING ME ? (He did it also in the second time)

Then King Ohger were ask about their other role they played in alter world

Gira was like I become Uchu ah…he tried to do different facial expression to show the difference between both of Gira.

Yanma was mentioned about him and Shiokara. I think it was about usually Shiokara follow him then how in this opposite? Like he just follow whatever Shiokara said and just act it out? (plus considering Yanma doesn’t like to prepare too much for a scene)

Himeno mention apparently the director and rest were apologising to her because she had to eat the flower which wasn’t very nice and that she create it with the image of an unrequited Cinderella in mind. (Probably to both they felt so bad?)

Several hours, toasts to Vinnie, good food, good drinks, and outbursts of many good songs later, a very inebriated group lounged around Jim’s living room. Jim pretended to grouse, but he was enjoying himself.

Other than closed-again drapes, and the security, this really is the steam everyone needed to let off.

Sebastian and Killian for Jim, along with Murphy and Ellison for Irene’s day shift were officially off-duty once their night shift replacement arrived, and had also indulged in drink. Not to the levels of the rest, oh but enough.

“It’s been a while since you entertained like this. You definitely need to do this more often.” Moira teased as she shook her head. “Just more than an hour’s advance warning next time?”

“Kind of ruins the meaning of an impromptu salon will commence darling.” Jim, idly playing at the piano, teased.

“Did you say ‘an impromptu salon?’” Backup singer Julia Garrick, wobbly made it to a standing position, drink in hand. “As in…” she cleared her throat and deepened her voice. “...an impromptu salon will commence immediately following dinner?” 

“Oh my god! I LOVE that song!” LaMarque jumped up excited. 

“I have to admit. That whole production is a guilty pleasure of mine, especially that song. I know ALL the words.” Sebastian admitted sheepishly.

Oh! And he immediately regrets he has said that out loud - Sebastian Moran you are full of surprises!

“What? No! How the fuck did I, ME! How did I NOT know that?!” Murphy hooted. “Jim! Jim! Jim! Please say you know the music. THIS? Oh, I have to…”

Sebastian tried to stop Murphy who never finished the sentence as Jim immediately played the opening notes.

Other than a small debate that turned out to be the difference in stylings between the broadway show versus the movie, Sebastian, Jim, Irene and LaMarque proved to be the experts on the song. 

It was also a very good thing that Jim’s condo was the entire floor and had excellent flooring that muted the sounds, so his downstairs neighbors were not disturbed by the near dozen bodies that jumped, danced, acted out, and of course joyously sang the number from “Rent”.

After everyone pretty much dropped to the nearest seat at the close, Jim, still at the piano idly played the intro to “I’ll Cover You”

“Nope, that’s the reprise - I’m in too good of a mood to go all maudlin now.” LaMarque stood. “Lord have mercy, it’s half two! And on that note - I bid thee adieu.”

And like dominoes falling, once the idea was planted, good nights were being spoken. Soon - that really was not soon at all, Jim was ordering Moira to leave whatever mess there was until the morning, well later in the morning given the time, and sent her home. 

It was only as he said goodnight to Perdomo on the night shift and closed his door did he realize there was one person he had not recalled bidding goodnight to.

Sebastian left without saying goodnight. 

Jim did not want to think about why and how much that stung, because it did. He flipped off the light switch that plummeted the main floor into near darkness. The only lights being the safety lights on the stairs to his bedroom and two very dimmed canned lights by the draped windows he was not allowed to stand near. It was dark near the door where he stood, but it was his home, he knew every inch by heart and did not need the light and he turned to head for his bed.

Poker Face-themed YasMoon moodboard I made to go with this drabble I wrote a while back!!! I actually made this months ago, but decided to post it this month since it's kinda themed around the S1 Halloween dance, and it fits this month's allvalleyskills prompt surprisingly well???

I've talked about it a little on my other posts, but Yasmine seems to have this detached, apathetic persona in S1. The only feeling she shows openly (prior to 1x09, anyways) is this snide contempt that kinda says "I'm so above all these ridiculous people that they're not worth a single ounce of my emotional energy". Basically the only time all season that we see her start to let her walls down a bit--and the only time she seems genuinely happy--is in the weed-smoking scene in Moon's car. And even then, her Catty Armor is back on immediately after Sam gets in the car! So we know she can let her authentic self out around Moon, but she can also crush it back down at a moment's notice to maintain her Coldhearted Ice Queen image.

I feel like this kind of up-and-down of being warm and sweet and unfiltered around Moon and cruel and ruthless around everyone else would eventually drive Moon crazy, like!!! Moon can't even get Yasmine's walls down herself sometimes, and so much of the time, she has no idea what Yasmine she's going to get: Her loyal, funny best friend, or the controlling queen bee who acts like she only keeps Moon around to maintain appearances.

And then when I layer in my headcanon that they were privately screwing around in S1, well. You can imagine things would get hairy. Poor Moon is down bad--she would do anything to prove herself to Yasmine, and she would follow her girlfriend best friend anywhere. She'd do anything Yasmine says, no matter how vile. And perhaps worst of all, Moon knows that Yasmine can be sweet. Can be an utter delight, even. But she never quite knows if Yasmine's being sincere, or if she's just yanking Moon's feelings around because she can. And Moon can't help but wonder if this whole confusing thing they have is, well...

Just a trick.

Meanwhile Yasmine really does care about Moon--probably more than anyone--but she absolutely will never admit this aloud because EWWWWW ADMITTING YOU GIVE A SHIT ABOUT PEOPLE IS EMBARRASSING SHE WOULD NEVER jalshdkbdfugjku

Also, just a reiteration of what I was rambling about in my OG drabble, but these girls were being outrageously fruity at the S1 Halloween dance??? Like neither of them visibly have a date, despite being popular and conventionally attractive enough to easily get one Sam's going with Kyler, so no logical reason why the alpha bitch and beta bitch of the school wouldn't have hot jocks on their arms. And in the background of some of the Sam-Kyler scenes, they are dancing??? MUCH closer together than they need to be??? Like is this really necessary???

I think so because they're horny lmao these poor home of sexuals cannot control their burning sapphic desire if they tried

And to again paraphrase from my OG drabble post: ANYWAYS I can totally imagine these two sapphic-ass Laker girls jamming out to Poker Face and Moon being like “wait a minute, why is Yasmine singing so passionately about playing with people’s hearts? And why am I hard relating to Lady Gaga’s many jilted lovers??? ...should I be concerned?”

BTW S1 YasMoon gives off huuuuge toxic codependent vibes, and that's what makes it FASCINATING <3 I love fucked up little dynamics!!! I devour them like junk food!!! Don't mind me, I'll be over here doing needlessly deep character studies on S1 Yasmine in all of her awfulness <3 <3 <3

Mutant Mashup thingy

(This has been sitting in my drafts for months rip-)

Since all the turtles and even the Splinters and Aprils grew up in a very different environment, they would obviously act a little different. So here’s my ideas on how.

Mutant Mashup AU by me and @sillyandquest

Oldest to youngest (as said here) DaVinci -> Red -> Sanzio -> Niccolo -> Purple -> Blue -> Simoni -> Orange

Both DaVinci and Red were the protectors. However, DaVinci was more offensive and Red as was more defensive. This was because Red had to worry about accidentally hurting people due to his strength and was pretty intimidating as is, but DaVinci didn’t. So DaVinci is slightly more trigger happy and Red looks for more peaceful situations. It’s not a major change, but if they meet their canon counterparts they’d quickly release the differences. This ties into Red’s mystic abilities too, as his holograms are more shield focused then in canon. Niccolo and Orange and holding their entire families together. As said here, Niccolo would help calm his siblings and cousins down when the Splinters fought, and Orange already had a complex about this in canon. Neither of them would be able to do this on their own (with how big their family is now) so they work together to keep everyone happy (even if they aren’t).

I’ve noticed the 2012 boys are big on teasing each other while the Rise boys are a lot softer to each other (minus Blue and Purple). So I’d imagine in this dynamic they’d both be in the middle ground of their canon dynamics. The Rise boys tease each other a lot more but are still softer then canon 2012, but the 2012 are softer to each other but still tease each other more then canon Rise.

Blue and Simoni and “the face team.” Which mean Blue taught Simoni some manipulation tactics. Simoni still gets tricked by 2012 Chris Bradford, but that was because he was star-struck. He’s actually a lot better at people then in canon. Also, Blue is a lot more insecure about himself because he doesn’t have his “face man” thing to himself and feels he has even less worth :(

Sanzio is slightly better at controlling his anger because Red is teaching him some things, though he’s still angry all the time. Also, he’s a little bit nicer to his little bros because they released that there’s 5 of them and one of him.

Purple also has more self worth issues then in canon because in there, he based his identity off being “the tech guy.” But here, there’s someone else that can do tech. Also, he usually gets put in the “safer” places during missions because Yoshi was overprotective of him because of his soft-shell, and all the 2012 boys (and even the Rise fam to an extent) followed. I could imagine an episode plot where he snapped and goes off to do something really dangerous to prove himself. Maybe going with the other brothers who get babied (Simoni and Orange)

Orange canonically does ballet (see the lair games ep) so I feel like I’m this AU Sanzio would be the kind of sibling/cousin-who’s-basically-a-sibling who would absolutely pummel anyone who bullies his siblings. Also I can see Orange and Simoni both doing ballet so when Simoni starts using his strings he moves around on them in a sort of “dance-y” way.

Since Lou let them sneak off to the surface before Yoshi was ready to let them go, I’d imagine DaVinci has an absolutely unreal amount of “Space Heroes” merch.

Since Simoni can be repelled by Poka, I can imagine Purple has an entire library of “Music genres my siblings/cousins-who-are-basically-siblings don’t like.” The labs were filled with Poka after Simoni activated his mystic powers

the way corey just doesn’t publicly acknowledge colby’s cancer whatsoever. he was just live on tiktok(i don’t follow him it was just recommended to me on my fyp) so he obviously is on social media

jake said on twitter that he misses snc and he has been supporting colby since he first announced his cancer. he was shady a few times but he still supported his once dear friend when that friend needed it the most which is more than some people (ex snc friends) are doing.

it actually blows my mind that some people really are just not acknowledging it at all. like corey ffs lived with snc for years and they were friends for what feels like forever. if my once good friend got cancer i would most definitely support them. even if that friendship breakup didn’t end amicably. life is too damn short to be so cold. and i don’t wanna hear that corey could be supporting him in private bc they’re both influencers and it has a lot of people under the impression that they’re not friends anymore, not even a little, and that corey doesn’t care

i used to miss the traphouse days and corey’s addition to the videos but now i think both sam and especially colby are better off without him. jake seems to be coming around a lil

but with this go around, and colby starting chemo, and corey still not saying anything…. he's absolutely trash to me. and so is any of snc's old friends that haven't said anything.

and i truly do not want to hear "oh they probably said something behind the scenes" bc that's bullshit. that's a cop out answer. it takes two seconds to just comment a heart or even "you got this". no one is asking for you guys to become best friends again. you are a social media person and have been for years. everyone is watching you and waiting for you to say something.

and that's the thing that upsets me. i get they aren't close anymore. that's fine. friends drift apart, it is what it is. but corey, bffr. you wouldn't have a career if it weren't for snc. you would have died out with vine when you stopped dancing. you couldn't even keep up making dumb vlogs when you lived in the trap house. the only reason you remained relevant was bc of snc and the videos they allowed you to be in. and now, when sending just an ounce of love colby's way would be the right thing to do, regardless of whatever fallout yall had, you can't even do that? you're a piece of shit. there's no other way around it.

i'm not close to any of my old friends, but if any of them ever said they had cancer i would reach out and send them love. even my ex best friend, who i've basically blocked on everything. i would still reach out and let her know i'm here if she needs anything. bc ppl need support when they're at their lowest, when they're sick. but you not being able to even pretend to care is fucked.

and while i do think it's easy to blame elton on this to some degree, i don't think so. corey himself said he's a grown man, he should act like one then. make your own decisions. if elton kicks you to the curb bc you reached out to an old friend bc he's going thru cancer treatment, then elton is a terrible person and doesn't deserve any success.

I got encouragement from one (1) person and im ill with oc thoughts so here we go ✨ Maybe more characters to come but we're dealing bg3 here!

Farryn, Tiefling Wild Magic Sorcerer (25 years old)

If you think there's a favourite here on the blog ur right. this is my babyboy. He occupies my brain most of the time. First bg3 tav realness. (the art is by my lovely partner bwee)

- Romancing Astarion and Halsin

- Besties with Karlach

- Dancing around emotions with Wyll (The potential that larian purposefully stood in the way of actually makes me ill fr,,,, why did i not get the dance scene besties.... what did i do wrong...)

- Glass cannon who's willing to push himself to the limit (magical fatigue themes my beloved) to guarantee his survival. He IS reckless but he will make sure everyone gets out alive.

- He's a city boy stumbling around out here, Perishing at the rough and tumble camp life but he is also in awe of the natural world.

- He mostly acts with self preservation in mind, leading to him being largely non-combatitive whenever possible, or at worst making bold but necessary sacrifices for his and his companions' safety.

- Hates the idea of gods being these fonts of absolute rules and fate being prewritten. Hated everyone being on their god related bullshit.

- He will claim to be a hater!!! he is lying with his 20 CHA score!!! he is in fact a lover at his core. He has so much love for his companions and the world around him despite how it's treated him.

- he's kinda vain in that rich kid way, he has an appreciation for dance and fashion, definitely has standards when it comes to meals eaten too.

Farryn is the 3rd child to an influential Baldur's Gate family. He was raised in complete secrecy from the prying eyes of the Baldur's Gate elite due to him being born a tiefling. It'd simply ruin his family's image. His family were deeply devoted to the God of Fate, Savras, and in turn all were either skilled diviners, or various clerics in His service.

When he turned 11, he awoke to his magic in a display of chaos, and gifted the slight gift of being able to take control of the wheels of fate. His family then suddenly doted on him, believing him to be the potential chosen of Savras, and this being a blessing for new followers. Their dedication and warped ideas of Farryn lead them to trying to canonize him as some sort of figurehead on the day of his 14th Birthday. After the failure, they bide their time until Farryn's 21st, to try again. But this time he ran, and has been since trying to live in a world where he never truly existed.

Daeris Cylian, Half-Drow PalaBard, Oath of Vengeance/College of Swords (57~ Years old)

So he was conceptulised as: how fucked up would it be to play a dark urge paladin who fights so hard to keep his oath and yeah. answer is pretty fucked.

- Romancing: Undecided! the allure of Wyll romance is true,,,

- Besties with: Lae'zel, he likes her forwardness and devotion.

- He's not taken his bard levels yet but we're getting there guys. Fic incoming.

- Resisting the Urge (i might be splitting saves to have him break beneath the urge but shh not rn)

- Soft spoken and gentle mannered, until he's on the battlefield.

- Being a durge he's perhaps a bit too comfortable being covered in blood

- His two instincts being 'kill' and 'be killed for the cause' creates a guy fr.

- He'll never wield a shield, but he'll put himself on the front lines to take the hardest hits. He believes that if he gets hit, its one hit that hasn't landed on someone else.

- He tries to see the best in people, but the second they're responsible for another's suffering?? thin ice.

- Hot. He's hot.

- He plays the lute and violin but he doesn't know that. (calloused hands perhaps better suited to the delicate playing of an instrument, rather than the brutal grip of a heavy weapon)

- Martyr complex off the CHARTS. He will throw himself into every situation possible with little to no regard for his safety. He'll always take the opportunity to suffer in place of someone else.

- an "I'd die for you" kinda guy if that wasn't super clear.

Daeris awoke on the Nautiloid with the prayers of Ilmater rattling in his head before even his own name. He fought through the nautiloid, horrified at what was going on but unable to save anyone else or lessen the pains they were experiencing. As he awoke on the beach in the wreckage, he swore an oath of vengeance for those who perished on the nautiloid, to hunt down those responsible for... well everything.

Being quick to dedicate himself to Ilmater, he remembers pretty much the core beliefs, about shouldering the suffering of others and acting as selflessly as possible.

Cress, Tiefling Circle of Spores Druid/Gloomstalker Ranger (20 something, they never really kept track)

- Romancing: No one yet but they have eyes for Karlach

- Best friends with: Lae'zel and Wyll

- Not sure the split on Ranger/Druid levels just yet, I'm not a min-maxer with this stuff and its mostly based on vibes.

- Happy-go-lucky to a fault! They're so energetic and trusting but this comes with its issues.

- They're SUPER trusting of their 'guardian' and are grateful for some direction.

- Due to their mostly spore-based connections with the Myconids, Cress doesn't love talking. Their voice is often hoarse from disuse, and they definitely prefer any psychic or magical means of communication.

- They're in LOVE with the flora of the surface, they have no idea how to garden but they're so happy to learn.

- They're a psychical touch kinda person, purely because of the lack of it they had growing up.

- If we got one guy who hates gods (Farryn) and a guy who's whole thing is abt his relationship to a god (Daeris), Cress is the guy who simply is a bit clueless on the gods. They live under a rock in those terms. They've read books on some gods but that's probably as far as they've gotten.

- They literally want everyone to like them sooo much.

Cress is a tiefling who, after being abandoned by their parents at a young age, found themselves scared and alone in the Underdark.

They were just a child stumbling around, and happened upon the Myconid Colonies. Being a child who didn't particularly understand, they just saught shelter and community. And the Myconids offered them this, wearily at first, but as soon as it was clear this child wasn't really going to mean them harm, it was an easy enough transition. Being raised by Myconids was a strange one, perhaps distant in a way but Cress only yearned for acceptance, which they offered freely.

As they grew older, they conversed with outsiders and assisted adventurers and acted as the go to for vibe checking those who wished to temporarily stay in the Myconids' company. They also became an expert navigator for lost adventurers, only asking for seemingly meaningless trinkets from the surface. On one such trip up to the surface, they found themselves snatched up by a nautiloid, and the adventure begins from here.

He's a Knowledge domain cleric to Mystra because i want to menace Gale personally. He's in my co-op game with my lovely partner and between the two of us we've made our tavs the good ol Excited Labrador and Black Cat friendship. Serene is relatively fearless which doubles up as his greatest flaw. idiot for the sake of research and curiosity. the weird hateful yaoi they could have with gale is definitely compelling

Favorite thing about them: Oh, for sure her confidence. To me confidence isn’t about having fear, but being willing to push through the fear and she does this time and time again. From her anxiety to her fear of telling Howie she liked him to her fear of trying singing in front of everyone, she has been able to muster up the courage to push through. She inspired me to be more proud of who I am and try new things, even if there is a risk of failing

Least favorite thing about them: I actually have two for this one.

1) sometimes the way they make her act/sing/dance in the show is a little… immature? Like when she is singing BTBB or Fabulous they made her do some really over the top dance moves that made me genuinely feel like I was watching a kids show, so I cringed a little. That’s not on Dara though, that is 100% the directing.

2) I don’t like that they made her basically the “funny black best friend” in season 1. This is a common stereotyped trope in a lot of tv and I know the black community has fought hard to put these characters in less degrading roles. (I’m not black, so if you have more questions about this or want to learn more, I would highly suggest learning from someone of color- there are a lot of incredible resources, even here on tumblr). It has been a fantastic breath of fresh air to see Kourtney really start to shine as her own character as opposed to Nini’s sidekick since s2.

Something I expect from them season 4 (if applicable): I wrote an entire post about what I believe will happen with Kourtney here, but I really think she will play out that Sharpay/jealous of Gabriella getting the lead role. When Gina gets the lead, it will cause a rifle in their friendship. I also think that Jet will follow her around like Zeke.

Random Headcanon: I don’t know how much it is of a headcanon per-say, but I think we missed a lot of moments of her and Jet getting to know each other. I think they probably got really close at Camp Shallow Lake, but it was shown off screen so we’d be surprised in the doc. All their touching, talking, Jet being “team Kourtney” in the background leads me to believe they were developing a relationship off screen

Unpopular Opinion: Outside of S1, it is very unbelievable that Kourtney and Nini are best friends. Even while Olivia was a main s2, her arc was so Ricky focused, Kourt was out of the picture a lot. I kind of wish they either would have kept up with them being close or just made Kourtney her own main from the get go (and look how loved she is now! She was only supposed to be in one episode!)
