The Little Princess

The snow was falling as it had been for the last week. One of the worst winters La Push had seen for a while. It was also some of the best memories. You found out you were pregnant, Paul and Rachel were engaged, and Embry imprinted. The gender reveal happened earlier that day as the pack gathered for Christmas dinner. Opening a surprise gift, you and Sam were surprised to find out you were having a little girl. You felt Sam’s energy soften at once upon the news. He was already in love. He never could keep away, but after finding out about the baby a few months ago, he would not let you out of arms reach. You found yourself often sat on your lap or pulled into his side to sleep. If he napped, you brought your phone or put on a movie knowing you would have to be in his arms the whole time. He was obsessing over the instinct to protect his wife and his little princess. One hand was always on your growing bump.

As the pack left to celebrate with their other friends and families, Sam immediately had you planted on the couch with your feet up. He was worried after hearing your heart rate spike a little bit today when it normally wouldn’t. He spent his free time researching everything he can about pregnancy and childbirth. He is anxiously watching for any signs of complications to get you help as fast as possible. Although your check ups have been relatively perfect, your doctor was starting to worry about your blood pressure. You were in semi bed rest at this point. As in, enjoy the holiday but don’t over do it. Sam knew you wouldn’t follow that order, so he hid a special gift for you until the pack left.

Opening the latest romance novel of your favorite genre, you let him lay you back onto the couch while your feet are lifted to his lap. He takes off your slippers beginning to massage your feet that are starting to swell a little everyday. He watches you silently read, while also listening for any change in your heart beat to let him know you were actually interested and enjoying it. He took your love for books seriously.

Looking up at Sam you giggle and tell him how he is making you nervous staring. He somehow still makes you feel like the only girl in the world. Even when he is totally arguing how you should be off your feet and not feeding a pack of wolves.

Sam turns on a football game, but keeps the noise lower. He rises briefly to lock the doors and turn off the main lights. Lighting the lamp for your relaxation time, he kisses your hair and forehead while reading over your shoulder. Another sappy pick up line and a stuck up guy trying to get the elusive yet soul capturing girl on campus. He laughs softly to himself and tells you how much he loves you and how proud he is to have an imprint like you. “Our little princess is the luckiest girl on the planet. Her mom is the strongest and bravest girl I know. Not to mention how beautiful she looks with you. I could get used to seeing you like this.” Sam makes you blush with his confessions as he gets up to refill your water and get you a snack due to the strict eating guidelines you now had to follow. Sam never left your side now, and the imprint wouldn’t let him. Not knowing you were getting this fragile with several weeks to go. You both wanted a big family and he was worried your dreams might not happen if this pregnancy didn’t end well for your body. He handled alpha business from the pack house, but did not take patrol or meetings. Jacob is in charge for now with everything getting approved by Sam. Thankfully that has simply been patrols and routine stuff.

Sam returns with your water and snack, turning to sit back down again he grabs your ankles gently to get back under them. He watches the game with more interest now, although one hand never leaves your stomach. You smile to yourself knowing you have been given the biggest blessing this Christmas- Sam and your little princess.

So I've been dark on this page for a min because I had a big life event happen (I moved away to college so now im living on my own) and over that time period I haven't really had time to draw. I'm all settled in now and I have a whole art studio set up(!!!!!) and I finally feel like creating again. I've suffered from pretty bad art block before I had to move, so finally having a creative space has been a really wonderful change.

SO about this comic in particular, I just really wanted to paint something so I ran with a new idea I had. As much as I love the Zosan ship, I've kind of gotten really tired of drawing them and I needed a change of pace. So LawKid is the new ship I've glomed on to. I'm past fishman island and I'm getting to the parts that have Law and Kid as big players and shipping them just gets me more excited.

Since I can't leave well enough alone, I did start thinking about some a/b/o/mpreg stories for them. But one thing about that is that I honestly don't think Law would want kids or would want to be pregnant. So I ploted out an abortion story (because there aren't enough mpreg abortion stories and I think LawKid could make one very comical) but then I started thinking hmmmmmm but what if I made a cute LawKiD oc. what then?! So since in my mind Law would probably not knowingly stay pregnant, I decided to go the route of a Cryptic Pregnancy story. It has 10x the drama and 10x the angst of a normal pregnancy story. But then that got me thinking "okay so he has the baby now. He probably wouldn't want to hold on to it." I think Law would be torn between wanting to kick the kid to the curb, and getting really sad at the idea of creating another orphan. So I think in his high emotion, high distress, state of suddenly giving birth, he drops the kid on the deck of the Victoria Punk and then fucks off. He would 100% make it Kid's problem.

The story would be about the Kid pirates and the Strawhats trying to find where Law vanished to, all while Kid figures out how to be a father. I also would want there to be flashbacks of Law and Kid's relationship developing, the horror moment where Law goes into labor, and then what the Heart Pirates are dealing with while Law has a downward spiral.

I'd love to draw all of that but at my current speed level it isn't feasible, but maybe one day. I was originally going to draw more pages for this, but I was feeling the one page curse (where I get one full page done but struggle with even starting the others), and since I put to much work into this page, I thought might as well post it.

I can really be dragged down by my ideas sometimes, like I have so many things I wanna make but I feel like there isn't enough time to do them all the exact way I want. I'm trying to be freer with my art and take a slower pace with how I grow as a comic artist. I have so many comics I want to make, so I'm going to just try and make them!!! But that requires me to think a little smaller for now, and just draw what I want in the moment, even if it's not how I envision it in my mind.

Reading your fic a poison tree, my brain got inspired on its own and went and created a half-baked AU where Baelon (Viserys' son) survived instead— but I'll probably never write it because it's just vagueness and a lot of Vibes™.

I really like your Oldgon, his characterization, the cracks forming in the Targ family as seen through Alyssa's eyes (also the cracks in her realizing she can't hold positions of power in her own right because she's a girl), things simmering and simmering beneath the surface (gods, it's gonna boil soon) and!!!! The melancholy!! The haunting!!!! Elinor!!!! Like, she got “fridged” in the technical sense but it doesn't feel like it at all, because her life and her death mattered to Oldgon and Alyssa (even if she's an absence in the latter's life). She's so vibrant and alive and so human in all the snippets we get of her, it's beautiful. I love her to bits and pieces, you understand.

Ehhhh, some nonsense and questions(?) concerning the half-baked brainchild of mine:

My Baelon, I guess, is the epitome of Survivor's Guilt™. He finds out what happened to Aemma and feels horrible about it. If it weren't for him, his mother wouldn't have died. But it was his father who allowed the maester to carve Aemma open, and Baelon finds out somehow, and he's extremely fucking not happy about it.

The relationship between father and son deteriorating? Potentially? Like, Viserys played favorites and doted on Baelon at the expense of all his other children (Rhaenyra also has complicated feelings about her father and brother because oof), Baelon was so loved, and then the boy has this revelation and is horrified by both his existence and his father's repeated choice to make Aemma go through pregnancies and finally her death. I don't think that's a break that can't be repaired.

Maybe it'll manifest outwardly. Baelon might push and question why, why Viserys did what he did. How he could possibly choose to do it. Dunno how Viserys will react to that but I'm guessing Not Well. Maybe this is the Their Relationship Fucking Crumbles route. Maybe Baelon doesn't dare to ask but simmers in silence. Viserys keeps on being blind but Baelon...

Survivor's guilt. He starts to feel like he has to justify himself, justify his existence, make his mother's death “worth it”. If he can't be good, can't be excellent, can't make anybody's life better, then he wasn't worth his mother's death.

Sickly child. Overworks himself.

More of a scholarly type (ngl, parts of Oldgon really influenced this boy, another reason why I won't write this bc it'll end up a rip-off of a poison tree in many regards??? 😭)

Maybe this makes this OC Baelon a little too perfect, but screw it I'm here to be cringe and have a good time so he “has enough room in his heart to love many people”

So he chooses to love Rhaenyra, even if their relationship might or might not end up really complicated. She loves and resents him in equal measure because he was part of the cause of their mother's death and their father's affection shifted from her onto him instead of being shared equally— but he's also the last remaining fragment of her mother. I don't know how this web of complication will manifest in Rhaenyra and how she interacts with him, but he wants to have a closer relationship with his sister.

Back when Viserys still doted on him (if their relationship eventually crumbles), Baelon felt guilty towards Alicent and her children as well. If he'd been born healthy, if he'd just been better, there would be no need for spares. No children Viserys would sire just to ignore.

It's just nonsense, haha. I haven't thought about the politics, or anything else, if there's to be a ship I actually kinda ship Baelon with Aemond, ridiculous as it sounds? Dunno how that'd work. Dunno how things will turn out. One boy trying to reach out to the people around him again and again and again.

(I wonder what kind of relationship Baelon would have with Oldgon and Alyssa [and Elinor and Jeyne] if there were to be a crossover between the AUs...)

Oh my gosh, what a great message!!! I’m spiritually kissing you on the mouth! I’m so glad you don’t think I fridged Elinor too much, that’s honestly one of the biggest things I’ve wrestled with when it comes to this fic, since one of my first thoughts was about killing her off. I wanted someone to haunt the narrative in every way!

I actually do really hope you write your fic. I fully support more nerdy flop male Targaryens, the world needs more of them! I do think there’s a lot of room to explore the pushes and pulls of westerosi masculinity, especially those who fail in one or more area, and this goes double for heirs and kings who get even more pressure. And Oldgon is far from the only scholarly Targaryen dude, I actually had some of Daeron the Good in mind when I wrote him, since he was a bit of a nerd who dearly loved his wife, so feel free to run with your Baelon. I also don’t feel like it would be much of a ripoff because a big portion of Oldgon’s personality comes from being the third son, the spare spare, and being shipped off to Oldtown fairly young, while this Baelon would be fairly under a microscope as the heir to the throne. Like, I have Oldgon as pretty introverted as a kid, and he really only grows out of his shell as he gets older and has the support of Vaegon and Lorent at the Citadel, and I think Baelon might have the opposite reaction as the eldest son of the king under the scrutiny of the court, especially if he’s a gentle soul like Oldgon, I could see this Baelon becoming even more shy and reticent, if that makes sense?

I actually do think that Viserys probably would have remarried even if Baelon had lived, he married Alicent for fairly personal (and selfish considering it wasn’t a great political) match and didn’t regard her kids as his heirs in canon anyway. And if Baelon is sickly from infancy, it would make sense to try and back him up with more brothers. I think both Rhaenyra and the Green kids would be different in this AU, since Rhaenyra is never made heiress and has less pressure on her overall, and Aegon II is probably as happy as a clam to be the second son who can wander off. Aemond is probably still seething about something even in this AU. Big middle child energy. (The Aemond/Baelon thing actually does sound interesting bc it could be a bit of an inversion of Viserys and Daemon but with waaaay more bitterness. Sexy!) I think the big question would be if Baelon marries Rhaenyra, Helaena, or Laena, since all are pretty strong candidates in their own ways. (If you went with Rhaenyra, even more drama there, but I think Laena could be immensely fun tbh, especially if Viserys decides to let Rhaenyra still have some sort of choice in her husband.)

And on how Oldgon would feel about a nephew that’s a lot like him, I think he’d actually be really happy with that! He loves the nephews he has (obviously, lol) but none of them are really a ton like him. And I think he would relate a lot to Baelon struggling to live up to the pressures of the path set before him. I think Alyssa would alternate between being extremely jealous and extremely fond of Baelon. She’s very jealous of her dad’s attention, and scholarly boy who her dad is thrilled to have around would probably be her worst nightmare, but she would enjoy having another kid around with similar interests that isn’t occasionally engaging in psychological warfare against her. (And bonus points for the shared dead moms!)

this might be a weird question, so forgive me if it is, but in the Lark Lives AU of Pretty Girl Propaganda, do you think there'd be times that Lark would get jealous of Tim being the one to be pregnant and eventually nurse Birdie? as in, since Lark is the transfemme/would be the mama in the situation, would she ever feel like 'pregnancy is normally a 'woman's' job, and i'm a woman, this isn't fair'? i saw a tidbit on uterine transplants as a possible way for transgender women to be the pregnant parent, and it got me thinking.

Not a weird question at all :D I actually really love it cos it really gave me something to think about.

This got long again so it's under the thingy, because when do they not when it comes to me talking about Lark and everyone in PGPau? There's also a vague list of the art ideas I currently have for S,IL that I haven't drawn yet, in case you're interested in seeing that lol

I think in a version of PGPau where Lark had already realised her gender by the time birdie was born, she would be a little jealous, maybe not even jealous, it'd probably be more of a "oh I'm not doing enough, I'm not good enough, I'm not woman enough, I don't have 'proper' boobs because I can't breastfeed my baby" (if somehow she got on E and grew boobs in the like five months between getting Shot and Birdie being born lol), rather than any sort of jealousy in the way I think about it (as in, jealousy being a thing more pointed at another person and thinking they shouldn't have what they do/being angry that they have something you don't?) but I think there would also be, just, so much else going on in having a newborn that she wouldn't get a huge amount of time to think about it between looking after Birdie alongside Tim. And also just the joy of "holy shit we have a baby together, we've started a family, we lived long enough to do that!" would also help.

There would be moments though.

There would definitely be moments where she'd just feel so fucking insecure, moments where she'd feel dysphoric over it. Like, usually new mums can go to parenting classes with their babies, or mum groups, but they're so cisgender-centric that Lark would just feel so out of place. She can't talk about breast feeding, or the actual process of being pregnant or giving birth because she never had that. Tim had that. The two of them would feel very stuck figuring this all out on their own as a T4T couple. And I would like to think maybe they'd have some queer friends they could talk to about it, but if I'm being honest with myself, I think both of them would be wary about connecting with people again for a long while.

So yeah, Lark would definitely feel just generally bad about not being the one to be pregnant with or breastfeed Birdie, at least a bit. Dysphoria and just general inadequacy the way you said it, that generally childrearing is a "woman's job," and Lark would probably feel like she wasn't doing enough, like she was being neglectful in some way letting Tim feed Birdie most of the time since they chose not to go down the formula route and to mostly try to breastfeed her whenever possible. She'd double down on looking after wherever they're living to try and feel better in herself though, I think. Partly because, again the idea of "women's work" and her getting to do that would make her feel a bit more like a woman in herself, and because it'd mean that Tim wouldn't have to worry about it, he wouldn't have to stress about doing laundry or anything while he's also trying to juggle Birdie, especially right after giving birth and all that.

He definitely wouldn't let Lark do everything, at some points he'd need a break from looking after the baby, and so he'll hand her off to Lark so he can get out of the house for a bit, maybe go shopping for groceries. Or even just get out of the same room, go hide in the laundry closet for a while, or go nap. Y'know?

Those times where Tim hands Birdie over to Lark for a bit would probably be quite nice for her too, because even if she can't feed Birdie the way Tim can, she can still look after her little girl. She still has to change her stinky diapers and burp her and clean up baby barf 💀 and for the most part I think she'd be happy, I think the feelings of inadequacy and insecurity would be fairly few and far between, but they definitely would come. And with both her and Tim being exhausted constantly because, y'know, baby (they're not getting good sleep, they're constantly looking after her and all that, they don't have any support systems around them from friends and family, and they're T4T so they feel very isolated from other first time parents) those moments of feeling like shit would definitely feel way worse than they otherwise might. For both of them, honestly.

I think having a baby would be a thing that they both can find both gender dysphoria inducing and gender euphoria inducing, just depending on the thing they're doing, or the day, or how tired they are or whatever.

If Jay didn't realise he was trans until where I've kinda vaguely set It for like the 'main' version of PGPau, about 6-7 years on from the end of MH, then I do think he'd also get dysphoric about not being the one to carry Birdie and all that, but he wouldn't know WHY he was feeling like that, or maybe even WHAT he was feeling in some cases. There'd just be a lot of general "I'm not doing enough, I need to do more" and vague "why am I so upset feeling whenever I see Tim getting to breast feed our baby?" kinda stuff. I think Tim would have an inkling that something was up, but I'm not sure if he'd fully put together that it's a dysphoria thing since at that point Jay would have still been going "No. No I'm a guy, I just like wearing skirts and pretty lingerie in bed sometimes. It's nothing except a sex thing shush" y'know?

I honestly think that without fully knowing what or why he was feeling, Jay would probably get into more arguments with Tim, because neither of them would be able to really understand Jay's feelings about it all. I don't think it'd fuck them up for good or anything, but I do think they'd get into tired arguments a lot more, because Jay wouldn't be able to articulate like "hey, I'm feeling really dysphoric today so I'm gonna go do [insert thing here] to try and make myself feel better" he'd just be going "idk I'm sad/angry/whatever and I don't know why or how to fix it and this is shit and I can't cope" so he'd probably get a bit snippy or sharp with Tim. And then, again, they're both fucking exhausted so things that otherwise might not have come to a head a lot quicker and leave them needing to spend a bit of time apart to calm down so they don't start shouting. Also like, hormones. Tim's just been pregnant, the hormones aren't gonna magically settle right back down straight away, especially while he's like, still chest feeding and has a newborn and all that.

This has now given me an idea for a drawing.

I decided to make a list of the drawings I wanna do. The idea this ask gave me is specifically the ones highlighted in red, cos up til now I've only really thought of like. Lark and Birdie when Birdie's a bit older, cos that's when Lark figured out she was, y'know, Lark. But this is my mess of an AU so I can fuck around the timelines literally as much as I want to. If I want Lark to have fully realised herself and look like she's been on E for ages, and to look super femme, even tho it's only been like 5 months since the end of MH, I can just do that.

I know for a fact that the "Chapter 10 (⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠)" one is gonna get done eventually. The others are so far just things I wanna draw but have no clue if/when I will. Chapter 10 (as in ch. 10 of My Girl) is 100% gonna get done at some point before I post chapter 10, so it can go up with that chapter whenever it's written lol.

anyways if i'm going this deep in lemme share this teen mom Ashley fic idea i had i'd love feedback on the idea

this is completely unrelated to my other idea regarding this this is an entirely different can of worms i'm putting this under a readmore just bc it's a bit long and also filled with dead doves so only open and eat it at your own discretion

so basically the idea goes like this- when they were teenagers (her 14 and him 16) Andrew and Ashley got into some kind of big fight (still working on it) most likely due to him having a girlfriend in hs at the time. during this period, in an effort to make a point and piss him off, Ashley gets a boyfriend of her own (who just so happens to have messy black hair and green eyes wow what a coincidence) who was in a class with Andrew. some incident happens where Ashley "accidentally" leaves her phone with explicit texts on view (but also tis like the 90s so maybe i'll redo that) and Andrew talked with his classmate and then uh there was another second missing person, and after an intense argument Ashley and Andrew "slept in the same bed" and anyways a month later Ashley announces she's pregnant casually at the dinner table putting the pregnancy test she put right on it.

"Huh. Not the reaction I was hoping for."

"Forgive me for not being particularly fucking thrilled at the idea of being a grandmother at 32, Ashley."

"You know, if my kid has a kid at 15 and their kid ALSO has a kid at 15 you could be a great-great-grandma at only 75."

and Andrew is in complete denial it is. it's been 6 years and every single person except Julia refuses to believe it isn't. at one point when Alexis "Alex" Graves is a baby she makes a comment she has her father's (green) eyes with a wink and grin at Andrew. during the Burial Route when Mrs. Graves is trying to plead with Andrew she finally says "... If you won't do it for yourself, do it for your ------------------" and it's like his brain physically blocks out any insinuation with he's the father with white noise. so he's been living as the kid's uncle officially and has no idea how to act around this kid most of the time.

Ashley is not a good mom by any means and has had CPS called on her more than once but incompetence won't remove the child entirely and she does like. actually love this kid but her obsession with Andrew is clearly more important to her, the fact this kid keeps him tethered to her even if he won't admit, and also because she spoils the kid however she can to try to prove she's a better mother just because her daughter is happier than she was, when learning Alex hit another kid to get their candy she was outright like fuck YEAH if you want something take it!!! girlboss gatekeep gaslight to this four year old and Andrew at least tried to teach the kid right from wrong in response. during her first birthday Mrs. Graves asked Ashley if she was gonna do anything and Ashley didn't see a point the kid is 1 they won't remember the birthday there's nothing they'd want and she doesn't seem to process the point of a birthday for a baby isn't about toys and fun but to celebrate their life. when Ashley suggests they can get by on mugging people Alex says she can pose as a homeless sad kid and for the first time in a while at her Ashley lights up and says THAT'S why you're mama's favorite <3333

Rival Matriarchs Challenge Rules

Note: I call this “Rival Matriarchs”, and talk about each matriarch as “she” in the rules. Your matriarchs don’t need to have she/her pronouns. They can be of any gender as long as they can be impregnated.

Yes another new challenge! Basically, this is a rotational 100 baby challenge. Except depending on how many matriarchs you have you might want to go over – or even under, why not – 100 babies. I wanted to do a new 100 baby challenge with infants, but this challenge can get repetitive, so I came up with a solution. This is also meant to be harder than the 100 baby challenge, money-wise especially. Credit to SnarkyWitch for the 100 Baby Challenge rules!

If something hasn’t been mentioned here, the 100 baby challenge rules (linked above) apply.

Starting Out

- You can start this challenge with as many matriarchs as you wish. You will need to decide how many babies you will have in total based on your numbers of matriarchs and how long you want the challenge to last (or you can just keep going until you get tired of the challenge, your call – only thing is you have to end the challenge at the end of a rotation of course).

- Your matriarchs can have any trait or aspirations, but I advise you try to make them different, as the point of this is having a more interesting and varied 100 baby challenge. Your matriarchs can be related, or not. They can be friends, enemies, or not even know each other, the storyline is up to you. The only things are, they must all be the same age, and they cannot be immortal.

- Each matriarch starts alone in her own household with 20 000§ funds.

- Each matriarch needs to buy a furnished starter home (you can use an EA one, get one from the gallery, or if you want to go the easy route, build one that suits your needs). Once the sims are each in their starter homes, set their funds to 0§.

- Your matriarch is not allowed to move lots. You can expand the house when you get money though.

- For lot traits and challenges, they have to be set before the matriarch moves in (whether it’s one of the first matriarchs or a daughter taking over). You cannot add or remove any after.

- You will need the mod MCCC to turn off pregnancy progression when unplayed for the matriarchs. You also need to turn off aging when unplayed for the played households in your game settings (you can leave aging on for your NPC’s). I also recommend turning on aging for pregnant sims with MCCC.

- Each matriarch will be played one sim week in a rotation. The goal is to have 100 (or whichever number you set) babies in total. The matriarchs are competing to see which line will have the most babies out of the 100!

- If you have seasons, you can set the season length as you wish, and start in any season.

Impregnation Rules and RPO Rules

- Each donor (or “baby daddy”) can only impregnate one of the matriarchs once.

- The child of another matriarch can’t become a donor (they are rival lines, the sons of the family are supporting their mothers and sisters!).

- If you have the RPO mod, which I recommend for even more challenge, you cannot make an infertile sim fertile. The only exceptions to this rule are 1. your starting matriarchs (there is no point in you remaking the exact same sim in CAS just to have her be fertile this time) and 2. if you have a collab with someone else, like if a follower or a friend makes you a sim to use as a baby daddy and they turn out infertile, then you are allowed to bump up their fertility to 1.

- If you have the RPO mod, and one or several of your matriarchs have fertility under 33 when she becomes a young adult, you are allowed to bump it up to 33. We want this challenge to be hard, but having to try for a baby over 15 times before it works isn’t hard, it just kills all the fun. If you don’t want to bump up the fertility though, feel free not to, it’s your game after all.

- However, still with RPO, if a matriarch’s fertility lowers due to a miscarriage or simply due to becoming older, you are not allowed to bump it back up. If your matriarch becomes infertile due to a miscarriage, she retires and her youngest daughter takes over. Fertility potions are only allowed when the matriarch or the baby daddy have low fertility (that means they’ve had their fertility checked and it says it’s low).

Money Making Rules

- Each living matriarch needs to earn money a different way. Basically, you can’t have two matriarchs doing painting for money at the same time, however if your matriarch that did painting dies, you can have another doing painting in the future.

- Digging around (going into the world to find plants and fossils and such to sell) does not count in the previous rule, as when starting with 0 simoleons, there isn’t really a way to avoid doing that at some point. However, dumpster diving does count.

-Also, you can try out an activity for a few days then decide it isn’t for your sim, but you aren’t allowed to come back to it after deciding that. This is mostly in case your sim decides she dislikes the activity from the get-go.

Succession Rules

- When a matriarch ages to an elder, one of her daughters still in the household takes over, you get to choose which one. The daughter only takes over when she becomes a young adult, no teen pregnancy here.

- If a matriarch gets a child taken away from her, she failed at her duty. Then the taken child doesn’t not count towards the 100 babies, and your matriarch retires. She doesn’t get to have any more children, and her youngest daughter needs to take on the role of matriarch (you don’t get a choice here).

- When a daughter becomes the next matriarch, she needs to use the household funds to buy a new furnished house. She must sell all of the previous house’s furniture – except things that can’t be replaced like photos, tombstones, birth certificates... Then you have to set the funds back to 0§. These matriarch changes are the only times you’re allowed to move lots, so choose wisely.

since I can't stop thinking about it, here are my predictions for the rest of the cast now without Bobby:

Athena: she'll finish the house and move in, and I think her kids will move in with her, at least temporarily. she'll need their support, just like they'll need hers, even if none of them will actually admit it out loud. Athena will take stock of her life now, and decide what she really needs. I'm still hoping for her to get another rookie, and maybe she takes less of an active 'on the streets' role moving forward. I don't think she'll retire yet, but maybe next season we'll see her really consider whether she wants to keep going. I don't think she wants to die on the job, but this could offer a point of contention between her and her family going forward.

Hen: obviously I would love to see her become the new captain of the 118. her leadership has been showcased before, and she has all the qualities of a competent captain. she's the most qualified, without a doubt, and she has seniority over everyone except Chim, but since he seems pretty happy to stay where he is, I don't think she'd have any pushback or competition from him. however, her becoming captain could add tension to her personal life; she already forgot about the kids' photo day at school because she pretty much leaves the family calendar to Karen, and if her work hours are about to increase even further with a major promotion, that could be a problem moving forward. I'm not entirely thrilled about that possibility, but the show seems to give henren the same two problems on a loop anyway (career and children), so I think it's a fair prediction.

Maddie: I don't have predictions for Maddie, but personally I would like for her to lose her job over the whole "talking a 911 caller into suicide" thing, but that's clearly not going to happen. I do think it should at least be investigated, because whoever monitors the 911 service probably isn't clued in to the whole story. I'm hoping like hell that they don't give her a repeat of the PPD arc, but since it's genetic and the likelihood of experiencing it goes up with each pregnancy, I think that's probably what we're going to see. hopefully this time it'll be managed better.

Chim: in the event of Hen promoting to Captain, I'd like to see Chim take on an Eli role. I want to see him train a new paramedic. It would bring his story full-circle. I think he's probably going to be taking paternity leave once the new baby comes so that he can be more present for Maddie, too. I would like for there to be some talk about whether or not he should leave the 118 for an easier job so that he can be there for his family, since that would be a genuine concern for him given last time, but I don't think it'll actually happen. it could be an interesting call-back to Eddie's dispatch days, but given the nature of the show and the fact that the 118 has already lost two members of its A-shift team, I don't think it's likely. still, it could be an interesting conflict.

Buck: I think he's going to flounder for a while. he's just lost his mentor, essentially, and he's going to feel a little lost in his career now. I think ultimately it'll be Gerrard who puts the idea of a promotion in his head. I think he might try to apply for the captaincy, just because he thinks he should. he's living by Bobby's final words right now, so maybe he'll think he should be Captain because Bobby said they'd need him. I think that, ultimately, will fall through, though. I'm hoping, if they go that route, that it'll give us a Hen/Buck conversation, since they'll both be vying for the same seat, and I think Hen might be the one to be able to get through to him that he doesn't need to be the Captain in order to live up to Bobby's final words. it was Hen and Buck, after all, who saw Bobby at his very lowest point in s1, and I think that bond is going to be important now. I think of anyone at the 118, Hen is going to be the most suited to understand where Buck is coming from, wanting to live up to Bobby's legacy. and maybe Buck decides that he doesn't want to be the Captain, but that he does want something new. maybe he tries for a promotion anyway, but not to captain, just to whatever's above his current rank. (I really wish the show would be more specific with the teams' ranks and where they all sit on the hierarchy but that's just a personal grievance.)

Eddie: I think he's going to stay in Texas. maybe he considers moving back, maybe he even goes as far as to try and make plans for it. but I think, ultimately, he'll choose to stay where he is. Chris has a whole life in Texas now, he's got friends and a social life and he's happy. and maybe Eddie realises that his habit of making the big choices without consulting anyone else IS actually a problem, which would finally round out his arc from season 2. Eddie needs to realise that the decisions he makes don't just affect him, and that - shocker - he doesn't actually know what's best for everyone. he's just gotten his son back, he's just making progress on the fatherhood front. I don't think it would be smart to have him immediately uproot his kid and whisk him away to LA again. Eddie learned this season that he needs to put his son first, so he needs to be held to that choice now. I think the best option for him will be to stay in Texas, and when the hiring freeze stops, let him join the fire department in El Paso. he's still connected to the 118 through Buck, but he doesn't need to be there for that connection to hold up.

I don't have any predictions for our recurring/guest cast (Ravi, Karen, Tommy, May, or Harry) yet. obviously I have storylines I would like to see for most of them but nothing really concrete yet. I'll probably think of something for each of them later though, this whole arc will not leave my mind. there's so much more potential now.

RIP to Bobby Nash but like, thanks for opening the doors to new storylines and possibilities.

Nivi, just my two cents on how Stephanie (I'm just gonna go with the name for now - love it btw, she totally would name her after Steph - cause I don't wanna keep writing 'the kid' lmao) came to be:

Like totally agree with wanting P to step into a proper parent role, but in terms of Azzi either adopting or opting for a donor, I feel like that's obviously then a very conscious and purposeful decision on Azzi's part to have a kid. Which is totally fine ofc! But idk, I just feel like at that point in her life and career (what, she would have been 25/26? Based on the timeline you gave us), I just don’t see her making that decision already especially if she's gonna be a single parent? Again, not that she couldn't do it, it just feels like she wouldn't.

And I know one-night-stands kinda seem like a cop out or the easy way out of not having to introduce or have the other parent around but I don't think it would be that out of character? People have one night stands, and sometimes sex produces babies no matter how much protection you use ya know 😅. Also, yes I know that choosing to keep the baby is still a conscious decision to have a child but it's not like it was her intention to have a child going into it - am I making sense??

So I guess in that vain, adoption would make sense too, if it was certain circumstances that led to it, rather than her purposefully being like "ok I want to have a kid now and I wanna do it via adoption". Idek I'm sorry if I'm speaking total bullshit.

Oooo ok so Stephanie and P have already met in previous games, yes ok I like this development haha. So much potential. I still stand by Tim being the instigator, like he'd go up to P to say hi whenever Azzi's team was playing P's and lil Steph would be hiding behind his leg. 😂 And one day (before P ends up on Azzi's team), P has like a lil toy ready to give to her at one of their games and Stephanie clings on to that toy from then on (despite Azzi's protests).

Hahah yeah I was thinking trade too - well I guess if we wanna be semi-realistic, it could just be that P requested a trade and you know whichever team she was on obvs had to seek the best value and Azzi's team just happened to be the ones to give it to them. And then I can just imagine when P gets the news about the trade going through and realises which team, she's like "oh fuck that's not what I meant" 😭

Also, those flashbacks to when they were together and the time they were apart are gonna hit, I already know (if you choose to incorporate them ofc). Oh my god, like when Azzi goes into labour (if we go the pregnancy route) and she's maybe wishing more than anything that P was there with her or just like moments where she's craving having another person to go through the journey of parenthood with and her subconscious always immediately thinks of P 🥲

And then on the flip side, everytime P comes across baby/kid stuff, she also prolly always ends up thinking of Azzi and lil Steph, even more so after she's met the kid.

I'm also assuming that similar to the UCLA fic, we're not having Azzi tear her ACL again and so they would have both declared for the 2025 draft? Were they already broken up by that point? Cause damn, that would have been a tense and heartbreaking draft night! Cause if they were broken up by then, their break up would potentially have happened in like the week or sum between the natty and draft night? So many possibilities.

I also just remembered that the Fudds have a dog named Curry - damn, Steph getting the dog AND child namesake. He deserves it, i reckon.

I was going to ask how would the ROs announce a pregnancy to MC, only to remember both Imre and Lorcan are cis men 💀. And the problem is that I cannot flip it and ask about who MC would do it, since we would most likely decide it as a headcanon (for what I understand of your planning we are not getting to the stage in which the RO's and MC have children, unless it was a teen pregnancy, which I don't think you'll go for).

That leaves how Nia would do it. Which you can asnwer if you want, I suppose.

Or course, if you want to go with mpreg you can also answer for the other two. It would be funny to imagine how Imre got pregnant at all since he is always the one fucking someone, not the one getting fucked. So let's assume, if we go through this crazy route, that it was aliens like in the Sims. But unlike the Sims, the aliens used MC's DNA they somehow got to use. And no one in town is surprised, because this is just another supernatural thing happening (this is probably not true, but eh).

Now the problem would be that both Imre and Lorcan would be traumatized by the experience. So also let's make it voluntary. They were offered this by the aliens. Imre accepted basically out of scientific curiosity, and Lorcan... I don't see how or why he would accept, but he did. We are all for consent in this blog. Maybe not when it comes to murder, because that's very hard to come by, but still.

But yeah there’s not only too much plot to go through but also I can’t see these characters as parents, they don’t interest me as parents because at that point all the supernatural elements are long gone, they’re happy and I am more inspired by suffering 💀 also it’s not my most favourite ending that of “they had kids and married” I like it but I think a happy ending can happen without those things

1325, ENGLAND - AT WHAT COST?

The year is 1325 and it has been four years since the earl died and the pope took over the village. The villagers had adjusted to this strange religion immersing it into their culture.

This year was quite peaceful for the Brewers. They took care of their home, business was good and even Annemarie had gotten better after having a traumatic birthing experience.

As the days went by, their in-laws came to visit. Andreas and Gefferi had decided to try out William's suggestion. It was a dangerous route so they had to take precautions. Andreas told them that if anything happened they would be in charge of their properties and family and the Brewers willingly accepted this arrangement making Gefferi frown feeling uncomfortable at how willing they were. They said their goodbyes before going on their journey to the mines.

However instead of going to the mines, Andreas took his son into the house of a well known villager, Miss Crumplebottom.. Gefferi was confused and couldn't help but ask where his father was leading him to; Gefferi: Father, this isn't the way to the mines, do we have time for this? it is getting pretty late and you know the roads at night are dangerous Andreas: do you really think i would take you to the mines knowing how dangerous it is? My son, we would not be going to the mines, i only said that to keep our source of crystals a secret. Just follow me and don't speak unless spoken to. Andreas took his son through a strange door where they came across a tent and they quickly knelt in front of it. Agatha: Andreas, son of Thomas, to whom do i owe this visit? lest i recall, i haven't requested a service from you so why do you show up at my holy place. Andreas : Greetings Lady Agatha, i have come with my son today to ask for your help. My father once told me that if the family is in trouble i shall seek your help. Agatha: and did he tell you that my help comes with a prize? Andreas: Yes i was told, which is why i seek you out as my last resort and i am willing to bear the prize. Agatha: Alright.. follow me

Gefferi tried to speak but he remembered his father's warning and immediately stayed quiet. Agatha: look into the phoenix's eyes without blinking. They did as they were told and were immediately transferred to another realm. Agatha: Tell me what you need.. Andreas: i want to start a business selling crystals, you are the only one that knows how to get them without going to the mines. I know it is dangerous to sell them but this is the only business the villagers won't dare do which is what we need to keep our legacy going. Agatha: mm.. If that is what you want i can do that for you however, this will cost three things, one i would choose myself and the other two i have no control over. Do you accept this? Andreas: Yes i do. Gefferi was shocked at his father's words, wasn't he worried that something might go wrong? was this business really worth it. Agatha did her spell giving them each a potion to drink and reminding them that each heir of the next generations must come here to drink this potion before the business can be passed on. She also told them the prize she wants them to pay, as one of his last sons, Nigel isn't betrothed , she requests that he marries her daughter when they turn 16 which Andreas agrees to.

As this was happening, tragedy struck two families. That night Beatrice had gone into labour while her father-in-law and husband were away hunting and her mother-in-law had gone to another home to deliver a baby. Beatrice ended up going through her first labour alone. Meanwhile at the Bekers home, Svend had crawled out at night while his mom was cooking and ended up drowning in the lake beside the home. Thankfully his mother noticed he was gone and ended up saving him.

Andreas and Geffrei heard what happened in the morning when they got back. Geffrei was angry as he knew that the spell almost took his son and only child but his wife was able to hold it together, comforting him as she held her son tightly.

Unfortunately, the Hunts weren't that lucky. Benedict showed up late and by that time Beatrice was already gone and so was their baby. None of them could be saved as they had just paid the prize for the spell that was done.

On the last day in 1325, a funeral was held for Beatrice. Family and friends all showed up and the priest led the ceremony before Beatrice was laid to rest, ending the year on a solemn note.

Antosha's parents always planned on having two kids, hoping to have two biological human children, however a difficult first pregnancy and doctors telling them another would be a risk to both mother and child they decided instead on going the synth route with their second.

Just like any other synth, Antosha's parents programmed him with traits they found to be desirable, leaning heavily into giving him traits of a creative. An artist and musician to be exact. If you looked at the list of traits they gave them to program into him you'd easily think they were trying to build a prodigy of some kind. Perhaps they were.

Unlike his older sibling Antosha struggled with making friends, often choosing to focus on his creative endeavors than socialize, and as a result becoming more than a little odd around other people.

Would find himself watching movies or the tv or even just people watching, trying to study how to just 'be normal.' like his parents wanted them to be. Never having said anything about it, but having more than once overheard them say things like "Why can't he just be normal?" or "I thought we did better at programming him than this."

Antosha was 13 when their parents decided to try again with a new synth child. Whatever programming they'd gotten wrong with him, they would get right this time.

The undesirable traits only continued to grow as he got older, and by the time he was 16 his parents were too busy with their new attempt, the one that they were going to make sure stayed perfect, to even care anymore.

Went to a back alley doctor for reprogramming. Thinking maybe if they did and had their personality reprogrammed to something else. Something more 'normal' that their parents wouldn't be upset at the way he'd turned out. That they would still want them to be their kid.

Instead of fixing him, however, the doctor wound up doing a botched job on Antosha. Whatever emotional regulation he had was fucked up, along with his ability to do things like recognize when they needed to do something like eat or sleep. It caused him to question whether or not something was real sometimes, no longer always able to tell what was real and what was just in his head, and would sometimes just 'glitch out' often losing time and memory of what happened during glitches, the way one might when blacked out.

While he was trying to fix himself because of his parents, he only wound up making things worse for himself on accident. His parents deciding they wanted nothing to do with him any longer and giving him money to leave and stay away.

Has been living in an apartment in the lower district working as a freelance artist, mostly working with paint, but having skills in other mediums as well.

Has received more than one noise complaint from playing music too loud at odd hours of the night.

Hello! (feel free to not respond as the fic is not finished yet) I have been adoring ISAR, I love you taking a different route between the pregnancy in Isar compared to that mfl one shot (I assume of course) but either way I imagine she would still have those tough moments because it is pregnancy after all and it's already hard to take care of herself. I love seeing her get peace but can't help but imagine or ask if there's still those moments where she's in pain and emotions everywhere and it hurts a little extra that Vax isn't there compared to Icallw? is there ever those nights of physical pains and aches where she knows if he was there it might hurt a little less? does it make the pregnancy much harder having to be and care by herself in those times?

hi! i don't really want to compare mfl/icallw and isar bc the stories are so dramatically different, and i also feel very hesitant to discuss the minutiae and day-to-day of being pregnant as someone who has never been pregnant and gods willing never will be. in isar, i imagine keyleth is the kind of person who is very good at not thinking about the things that she doesn't want to be thinking about, and i believe that includes what her pregnancy would look and feel like if vax were there to share it with her. obviously things are literally more difficult when you have to do them by yourself, like moving around and getting dressed, although keyleth has alma and her father to help with a lot. the thing i really wanted to focus on in isar, though, was the emotional turmoil, the jumble of thoughts and feelings and questions that come up when a) you're having a kid you didn't plan for, b) you weren't sure if or when you wanted kids in the first place, c) the person you loved died, d) you blame yourself for it, and e) all of this is happening as you're coming out of an extraordinarily high-stress situation with the expectation of being a leader and a major political figure on the world stage. the story is really less about keyleth's pregnancy and more about her discovering who she is during and after this period of extreme upheaval and change.

all that being said, yes, i would imagine that it is quite difficult to be the only person who can understand exactly what you're going through, to know that everything you would share with your partner, not just the joy and the excitement, but the grief and the sorrow, you must ultimately endure alone, knowing that the grief and the sorrow wouldn't even be there if you weren't alone in the first place. obviously keyleth, being a fictional character, isn't aware that in another universe, she and vax live happily ever after and have a thriving family together, but i imagine that if she did know that, it would be a tough pill to swallow indeed.

So, obviously there's magic able to change someones gender in Looming Gaia Canon. There's already like four examples of trans characters having/wanting a magical sex change.

But, can they reproduce after the change? For example, could Prince Jaq impregnate someone? Could Tojum get pregnant?

Sometimes they can breed and sometimes they can't, it actually depends on the skill of the mage who transformed them. It takes a master-level transmutationist to transform someone this thoroughly, and these masters are very few in number. Many people don't even live long enough to fully master a school of magic, so usually these masters are nymphs, divines, cecaelia, or other exceptionally long-lived species.

Example: A female elf is transformed into a male faun. Depending on how thorough the spell was, there are several different possibilities:

1 ) The spell was surface-level, meaning he looks indistinguishable from a natural-born male faun, but his DNA has been scrambled. He is completely sterile as a result. (This outcome is most common)

2 ) He can reproduce, but his DNA is still elven. This means he cannot produce offspring with another faun, but can produce elven offspring if he impregnates a female elf. (Yes, this means there could be an elven child out there with an elven mother and a faunish father!)

3 ) He has been fully and correctly transformed on a cellular level, meaning there is nothing differentiating him from a natural-born male faun. He can reproduce with female fauns and create normal faun offspring. (This outcome is the rarest because only a small handful of sorcerers on Looming Gaia are skilled enough to do it, and their services are not cheap...)

Monarch Roz is a pretty good transmutationist, but he's far from the best. So, I would say Prince Jaq's DNA is likely scrambled from the spell and he is sterile at the moment. Roz might be able to fix his son's sterility by turning him back into a female, but it's a crapshoot.

Alternatively, Jaq could seek a better transmutationist (someone like Austerity, for example) to clean up his papa's shoddy work, fix his DNA, and give him the ability to reproduce as either a male or female.

(I should also mention that as much as Jaq wants to be a parent, he sees no point in birthing a child on a sinking ship. His kingdom is an absolute mess right now, and he feels like no child should have to grow up there. He wants to save his family and gtfo before he even thinks about having kids!)

Now, as for Tojum...

Given how fucked up kobolds are in general, there's a decent chance Tojum was sterile to begin with. But even if she isn't, Tojum has decided that getting a sex change via transmutation is too costly, so she has chosen to take the medicinal route instead. This route is slower and not as thorough, but much cheaper with less risks. Transmutation spells can go catastrophically wrong for no apparent reason, but the effects of non-magical sex change medicines are predictable and well understood in most cases.

Tojum mentions in one story that she's buying her medicine from Morbus, and she has already grown bigger breasts after just a few months of taking it. She doesn't mention what it's doing to her male genitals, but I doubt the effect is as drastic as a transmutation spell. While there is probably some "shrinkage" going on down there, I doubt Tojum is actually growing a uterus or ovaries, or anything necessary to carry a pregnancy. These non-magical medicines are quite limited in that regard.

I don't think Tojum will be able to get pregnant by the end of her transition, but she may still be able to impregnate others. Tojum definitely does not enjoy being a kobold and wouldn't want to bring another one of her kind into the world to suffer like she has, so I think realistically she would choose to adopt a child of another species. Or, more likely, skip the whole "family" thing and just party for the rest of her life. No time to change diapers, she's gotta make up for all the time she lost suffering in that Seelie slum!

Changing Behavior

My choice of words for the title of this piece at Tumblr sounds like something that a psychologist, psychiatrist, or sociologist might choose. I've chosen the words because the subject for this piece is complicated. Ultimately, the subject is how movies can change a person's thinking and behavior.

"Have there been any changes in your son's behavior Mrs. Perkins?"

Early in the movie THE BABY CARRIAGE (org'l title; BARNVAGNEN - 1963), two young adults, on their first date, get ready to make love in the back seat of the young adult male's car. This is in a rural area of Sweden. The young adult female, Britt Larsson, says to her new lover "Do you think this is what foreigners call Swedish sinfulness?"

I cite the scene from this produced-in-Sweden movie because, starting in the late 1960s, a number of produced-in-Sweden movies were in theaters, here, in the U.S., whose plots included a good deal of partial or full nudity, along with sexual situations. In newspaper articles, in newspaper reviews, on television and radio shows, these movies were often described as part of a new era in the history of commercial motion pictures. The word 'freedom' was often used in advertisements for these movies.

Not long after these movies began playing in theaters, 'free love' became one of the buzz phrases that was noted in the press coverage of San Francisco, California's 'Summer of Love' in 1967.

Later on, in the 1970's, I would sometimes hear the term 'permissive society' used to describe life in Sweden.

In describing the plot of THE BABY CARRIAGE, the sensational or provocative aspects of movies like I, A WOMAN and INGA are nowhere to be found. THE BABY CARRIAGE's plot focuses on the relationships of young adults in a down-to-earth manner...

18-year-old Britt Larsson has recently started working in a local factory in a city in Sweden. The factory makes housewares and the employees are mostly young women. Britt's family -- mom, dad, and little brother, Staffon -- are preparing to move to a newly finished high-rise in another part of the city.

Britt is currently in an unsatisfying relationship with a young man her age.

One day, after leaving a movie theater matinee alone, she encounters a good-looking young man who is having difficulty using his key to unlock the front door of a building not far from the movie theater. The young man, drunk, strikes up a conversation with Britt and follows her, as she makes her way home. They agree to meet, again, the following day at a location they both know.

Some days following the good-looking young man's no-show, the Larsson family has successfully moved to their new apartment and are enjoying a new television set, with its remote control device.

Not too long afterward, Britt's mom sends her to fetch little Staffon who has wandered back to the old neighborhood to play with pigeons in a bird shelter constructed by someone in the old neighborhood. The two characters walk towards their new neighborhood and, en route, a new, good-looking young man strikes up a conversation with Britt.

These twc characters meet again by chance, one weekend, and, in a spur-of-the-moment decision, they go for a spin in the young man's car. During the car trip, they both talk about what they currently do for work.

The new good-looking young man is an aspiring rock and roll musician. Britt is attracted to him. He pulls the car over to the side of the road in a rural area, they jump into the backseat and make love. And it seems as if it's a first time for Britt.

A number of weeks later, Britt has a conversation with one of her co-workers at the factory and figures out that she's pregnant.

The bulk of the plot of THE BABY CARRIAGE details Britt's trials and tribulations with her pregnancy, her attempt at a relationship with good-looking young man #1, her relationship with the baby's father, and her need to make decisions for herself.

This is a contemporary combination comedy and drama, as well as a character study. And it's another movie that should be thoroughly researched.

Among the movie's many strengths is the fact that the scenes involving Britt and her two boyfriends (good-looking young man #1 and the new, good-looking young man - the baby's father) include improvised dialog.

Thanks to the combination of the direction and the acting performances of the entire cast, the movie comes across as completely believable. Most viewers will construct relationships with the main characters and will want to help Britt and her two boyfriends.

Britt comes across as a young adult who is secure in the way that she thinks of herself and in the way that she makes decisions.

The picture of daily life in Sweden is different from what was suggested in newspapers, magazines, and on radio and television, later on in the 1960's, here, in the U.S.

According to the Internet Movie Database, THE BABY CARRIAGE did not play in theaters in the U.S.

Also quick question, wasn't it Abyss and Kiwi Black he also had a strong link to?

correct, it was probably tied to how they each had a power set slightly similar to his like abyss' which is tied to space alteration.

(while i was looking this up to be sure i read that abyss just got killed which is... sad because apparently it was the only way to solve an issue as he still couldn't control his powers. even after being on an island with other mutants and scientists for 3 years. dude is just unlucky)

Also a male writer being unfamiliar with female biology is par for the course in Marvel comics LOL.

oh believe me i know. but this just took every single one of the standard bad i was used to and blew it out of the water. like the panel where destiny is having nightcrawler... this now exists.

i- i don't even know where to start. the proportions are off (how long are destiny's femurs), the perspective is off (the must-wear-a-tie-on-the-job medical 'professional' they had is too far away from her to be of any help or see anything).

for the 22 hours this went on, they let her keep her glasses even tho she's blind and thus wouldn't need them in the first place as they serve no purpose and might become a nuisance real quick... (like the whole process makes you sweat and builds pressure on your head/face so glasses can get pretty uncomfortable). also they'd fall off/ slip from her face especially due to the labor position she's in...

because destiny is nearly sitting down on her hands and knees, slightly hunched over (instead of arched up), in actual pants while doing all of that. it becomes more jarring to see because fake-pregnant mystique next to her is in a more-practical-for-the occasion nightgown even tho she's not gonna deliver any baby any time soon

quick side note on the time taken here for the delivery : each pregnancy is different and complications do arise but destiny already had kids before so it should have gone smoother than what this story implies in both process and positioning besides the doc or mystique could have better advised her on the latter. (the writer might have accidentally leaned on the ' azazel's children are harder to deliver ' route too due to his poor knowledge on anything and in that case that's yet another common factor between nightcrawler and azazel's biological children...)

overall when you combine this panel with any medical knowledge you might have,

it just looks like nightcrawler came out of the wrong orifice okay ?

and if he supposedly came out of the right one, the only possible outcome to this poor attempt at that specific labor position is a dead baby nightcrawler as he would suffocate between destiny's legs before drawing his first breath... on the account of those damn pants

Well you know they will have all important Street Brawls as part of the next Marvel Crossover event I'm sure. Marvel: Secret Street Brawls.

mystique just casually organizes encounters between specific heroes and villains after making a poll of "who do you wanna see fight" and "which street needs more wrecking" online then she films everything and updates it to cash in on some good old advert money. that's it, that's how the whole event should be about

It's like everything you're telling me gives me more reasons to never go back to reading Marvel. I felt like my tastes in story telling really matured after I started watching shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and reading and Watching Jojo's bizarre adventure. Maybe there's a reason why the best stories function with a beginning and an end and don't go on endlessly with too many cooks stirring the pot.

Like seriously wasting Abyss for what? Some storyline no one cares about? You know its interesting how you'll be one of the few people to point that out about how stupid the drawing of female anatomy is. Of course a lot of people just really like the "appearing progressive" angle that Marvel loves to do so they can sell a headline instead of putting thought into it, much like how they did when they decided Bobby should just be gay in such a contrived way like having Jean mindread him and tell him he's gay. Like they couldn't just have him explore his own sexuality? With his own feelings on how his relationships went and what genders he likes? Side note I really hate whenever someone criticises a story thats made to appear progressive gets lumped in with reactionary bigots as if whenever you write something with the intention of progressive you are absolutely free from criticism its just so childish really.

Honestly yeah they do need to just have Marvel Street Brawl be a thing and then they could also try to be deep about it like they did with AvX and pretend like there's this massive moral dilemma situation "Should we destroy this Street or not? That's a big problem and we need to answer it in 50 issues"
