Vision for Species
Someone asked about how different LG species see the world a long time ago. I gave some kind of answer, but I didn't include pictures. This time I threw together a better answer, this time with example images!
HUMAN (+MOST OTHER PEOPLES)
The average human (and most other peoples) sees the world like this. Unless they have some kind of medical issue of the eyes, they can see objects both close up and far away reasonably well. However, they don't see very well without light. They are completely blind in total darkness. Their vision is best in unfiltered daylight.
Tumblr media
ELF
Elves have the sharpest vision of all peoples. They can see details from a distance that other species can't. Their perception of color is also stronger, so they can differentiate between tones and hues better. They can see slightly better in the dark than humans can.
Tumblr media
GOBLIN
Goblins are near-sighted, meaning objects at a distance appear blurry to them. The further the object is, the worse the blur becomes. When viewing nearby objects, their vision is about as clear as a human's. Goblins rely more on their heightened sense of smell and hearing than their eyesight to survive. Their vision suffers badly in dim lighting or darkness. Their near-sightedness can be mitigated with glasses, but this cannot correct the natural vision loss they experience with age. Almost all goblins become blind by their elder years, and some experience this even earlier in life.
Tumblr media
DWORF
Dworfs see about as well as humans in dimly-lit environments or overcast weather, but have poor vision in bright sunlight. Sunny days strain their eyes, blur details, and desaturate colors, making everything appear overexposed. Dworfs can mitigate this effect by wearing sunglasses. Their vision is sharpest in dim environments with minimal lighting.
Tumblr media
SATYR
Satyrs have rectangular pupils, which gives them a wider field of view compared to other peoples. They can see more of their surroundings without turning their heads, and this makes it harder for predators to sneak up on them. Otherwise they see about as well as humans do, except their vision is sharper in darkness.
Tumblr media
CECAELIA
Cecaelia have optimal vision in dim or even pitch-black environments. However, the brighter their surroundings, the more their vision suffers. Unfiltered daylight leaves them nearly blind, as everything appears severely overexposed. Like satyrs, they have rectangular pupils that give them a wider field of view than most peoples.

EXTRAS.
𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘.
Dr. Rohan Abbasi first came to the Foundation’s attention shortly following the defense and subsequent publication of his master’s thesis, entitled “Correlation between the potency of hallucinogens in the mouse head-twitch response assay and their behavioral and subjective effects in other species.” (Neuropharmacology 2014). An auspicious start for someone who was, of his own admission, little more than a glorified lab grunt prior to the manuscript’s completion. The Foundation’s growing interest in Dr. Abbasi swiftly followed with his continuing doctoral research into the treatment of complex-PTSD and psychopathies with medical-grade psychedelics and hallucinogens.  Records indicate this culmination of Dr. Abbasi’s academic focus to be some combination of chance — with a Research Assistantship in Professor Szymanski’s research group at the University of Toronto open, and Rohan Abbasi in need of additional funding — and a longer trend of interest in and unorthodox approaches to pharmacology and medicine. It was with this in mind that a small but robustly funded lab at site-17 solicited a freshly minted Dr. Abbasi to interview for an opening postdoctoral research position within the group.  In the seven years since his tenure at the Foundation began, Dr. Rohan Abbasi’s reputation and portfolio tell vastly different stories of the same man. Colleagues and close personal acquaintances of Dr. Abbasi consistently praise the discipline, energy, and creativity he brings to research settings. Indeed, much of Dr. Abbasi’s early career at the Foundation is categorized by a nearly unending stream of proposals submitted, findings published, journal clubs established, and special interest committees formed. It became, however, the concern of his hiring supervisor that such enthusiasm and, frankly, naivete would outstrip the professional demands of this particular role. Following agreement from all parties, Dr. Abbasi’s fellowship continued under the supervision of the Keir group.  Thus, a pattern began to emerge. Dr. Abbasi filled his new position with what former colleagues would now consider characteristic effusiveness and vigor. Rohan himself jumped between several projects, submitting additional proposals for each with or without final approval from his new supervisor, nearly all of which were, unsurprisingly, summarily rejected. This had seemingly little effect on Dr. Abbasi’s commitment to proposing outlandish, unorthodox, unrealistic, and in more than a few cases downright insulting avenues of research or applications of novel (often as-yet-unreplicated) findings.   Neither Dr. Abbasi nor his new team were under any illusions, then, on the circumstances and stakes surrounding the assumption of his third post, now in the Anomalous Entity Engagement Division. Indeed, it seems he has finally understood the precarious situation he has continuously engaged in, and has pivoted to bolstering his professional reputation alongside his personal. It’s with this mutual agreement that Dr. Abbasi has been encouraged to continue his work on class B amnestics.

Even if demons don't poop I assume they still have buttholes for sex? Similar to how nymphs have vulvas even though they can't get pregnant.
Erasmos designed demons to be attractive to him and fulfill all his sexual desires. So if he was into butt-stuff, then yes, I imagine they probably do have anuses, even if they're not functional for digestion.
Let's just be thankful he wasn't into like, vore or inflation or something...I think we'd have much scarier monsters on our hands!

Dumb question that MAY be NSFW/You haven't even considered it: Do different species' milks taste different? Like, could I tell whether a cup of milk was a minotaur's or a roshava's titty milk? Or would the differences only be noticeable to someone with a keen sense of taste. Also, Chapter 5's out rn. We got Azura this time, oh yea
It's okay, I've also been asked how different peoples' meat tastes, so this question is not unusual to me at all lol. #JustLoomingGaiaThings
I imagine milk would taste different depending on species, because their bodies process nutrients and minerals differently. For example, trolls process vitamin D from foods more efficiently than other peoples, and goblins process plant-based proteins more efficiently, while elves process sugar gracefully and dworfs process fats slowly. I think this would cause the nutrient compositions of their breast milks to be quite different.
Minotaur milk is unique because the nutrients are balanced, making it well-tolerated by all other species. Sirene milk, for example, is extremely high in fat and would be bad for dworfen babies. But dworf and sirene babies can both be raised on minotaur milk with no major consequences.
(I'm loving your fic by the way! Everyone can check it out ---> here <---)

Sorry, I'm going to be *that* person. My question is, what does the genitalia of each race look like? Or do they all just look human but different colors?
No need to apologize, that's a totally valid question!
I think for the most part, yes, many peoples have very human-like genitals. There are a few exceptions and interesting facts though, which I will explain below.
(NSFW-ish text ahead)
ELVES - the rumors are true...elven males have smaller penises than most other peoples. Likewise, female elves have smaller vaginas. Everything about the elven body is kinda wimpy and delicate, and their private bits are no exception.
OGRES - It's rumored that female ogres have spikes in their vaginas, but this is not true. However, they do have thick mucus in there to accommodate male ogres' leathery, armor-like foreskin. Yeah, turns out W.A.P. was about ogresses all along...
TROLLS - Males have smooth little bumps all over their penises. Females have similar bumps in their vaginas. It's a bumpy ride! These creatures are lumpy and bumpy all over, so I guess it's no surprise.
CENTAURS - Centaurs totally resemble horses below the waist...that's all I have to say about that.
SATYRS/MINOTAURS/FAUNS/GNOLLS - The males of these species all have the same deal going on: their penises are hidden in furry sheaths when flaccid, but become visible when erect. Female satyrs have notably large clitorises, which might explain their high libidos. Otherwise, their genitals are quite human-like in appearance.
GORGONS/SIRENES - the penises of male gorgons and sirenes are retracted into their bodies when flaccid. They can force them out at will, though becoming erect will cause them to come out involuntarily. Females' vulvas are very low profile and basically invisible, but become more obvious when aroused.
CECAELIA - Don't have genitals at all. Males instead deposit sperm through one of their tentacles, and females have a single cloaca which passes both waste and eggs. The male cloaca only passes waste. The cloaca is located between the legs of walking cecaelia, or in the space where a drifting cecaelia’s tentacles all converge.
DWORFS - Their genitals are identical to a human's, but uh...the pubic hair is another story. Ever fucked a brillo pad?
ROSHAVA - Males have large penises relative to their body size. The elves are seething! There is a popular rumor that they have four testicles, but it's not true. Also, female roshava have kegel strength so insane they'll crush your dick like a pancake. Fun!
SPRIGHTS - When females suffer prolonged stress, they take on masculine traits and transform into "pseudo-males". This process causes the ovaries and vagina to atrophy, while the clitoris grows into kind of a penis-like shape. This genital transformation ultimately leads to infertility.
That's all the hotdog and hamburger trivia I can think of at the moment!

Couple Thingies: How old is each species when they are equivalent to a 6 year old human? Ignoring humans, and I'm 90% sure a cecaelia is like 30 when that happens. Also, if a fae is acting a role, can they LIE while acting? As in, their character lies, so can they lie while in character? Also does that apply to contracts?
Question 1: This is a bit difficult to answer, because some species have different development milestones than others. For example, let's say you have a goblin and a human who are both 6 months old. A goblin is expected to be talking by this age, while a human is not, even though they are at the same developmental stage physically.
Because of this, the answers I give here are not exact and I imagine there is some wiggle room with most of them:
Human: 6
Dworf: 5
Roshava: 6
Troll: 5
Ogre: 5
Elf: 6
Goblin: 6
Gnome: 12
Sirene: 6
Cecaelia: 30
Satyr: 4
Faun: 7
Minotaur: 4
Centaur: 4
Gorgon: 6
Question 2: A fae playing a character can say whatever is true of their character. If it is not true of their character, then they cannot say it. If they know their character was canonically born in Nalen, for example, they cannot lie and say they were born in Wokina.
The fae's inability to lie is purely a psychological phenomenon, so the "rules" differ depending on the person and situation. Fae actors have to twist their minds into a pretzel to do their jobs sometimes. They can speak whatever they believe is true, and what is true often depends on context.

Medusa Questions: Can the main body (For example, Chua) sense whatever their siblings sense? (For example, Chua tasting Bua downing xamali) Or is that restricted to the siblings? Also, how extensive is the communication levels between the siblings of a medusa? Can they use medusa-specific telepathy between siblings of the same medusa?
Good question! I think the medusa can sense some things and not other things.
Each sibling has their own brain, so their thoughts are their own. What they perceive by sight or smell is known only to them. They also have their own tongue, so only they taste what they eat. However, whatever they swallow does end up in the same stomach (of the medusa) so the medusa is affected by whatever it is (alcohol, for example).
There is no special telepathy that is specific to medusas. However, medusas can learn telepathy and use it to read their siblings' thoughts. Medusa siblings are not intelligent enough to learn magic spells, so this only goes one way.
Medusas can restrain their siblings when needed, using hairwraps or other headwear. This will piss the siblings off and there will likely be consequences afterwards, but it can be done in a pinch, like when they're being totally unruly. I'm sure Chua has to do this from time to time to get through important speeches uninterrupted.

Very serious question: do monsters poop?
I think most of them do, but there are exceptions. Demons, for example, don't feed on food so I don't think they would.
Slimes probably don't, since whatever they consume is just added to their mass.
Angels don't, as they are powered by energy from souls.
As a general rule: if the monster consumes matter, some of that excess matter must exit somehow. Not always as feces, but maybe energy/magic bursts or it gets converted into another material. Wood into coal, water into alcohol, silver into gold, etc.

Few things about cecaelia: Firstly, I see hatchlings and fry usually walking on surfaces like octopi do, and they hatch with 10 tentacles, two of which become their arms later and drift up as they elongate. Secondly, can I just say that the northern cecaelia look depressed asf? Also, imagine a cecaelia divine: They die from brain cancer but respawn, as a divine does. Like, they already had brain cancer when they died from like squid rabies, so they sometimes just die from brain cancer but return
1 ) You are correct! Hatchlings can swim from the moment they hatch, but they spend just as much time crawling as they do swimming. Their suckers aren't formed yet, so they can't yet stick to surfaces like mature cecaelia can. The current must be controlled in their nurseries to keep them from getting pushed around and slammed into things.
2 ) Northern cecaelia definitely have that look to them. Some people have Resting Bitch Face, they got Resting Depression Face! It's just the fact that their brow shape happens to droop downward. This feature is quite prominent on Mr. Ocean.
3 ) Actually divinity freezes all progressive ailments, so a divine cecaelia's cancer would stop progressing! This is the case with Haggomah, who was doomed to die from all her malignant tumors until her divinity put her body in a "living stasis". Her tumors don't shrink, but they no longer grow either.

Can a ironjaw male still breed
Some of them can, but they have very low sperm counts, and the sperm they do have is often weak and unviable. The female ironjaws are totally unable to carry a pregnancy anyway due to their atrophied sex organs, so this leaves Zygrow no other option but to clone them from sperm and egg they harvested from what few healthy specimens they have left.
This scarcity is becoming a bigger problem as time goes on, leading to increasingly unstable DNA and defective, volatile dogs.

Not thiccubus anon. Would it actually be possible for a demon to get fat from having excessive amount of sex? How would a demon weight gain & loss work?
That's an interesting question, I hadn't thought about that aspect! I guess it would make sense for demons to gain weight this way. If sexual pleasure is their "food", then theoretically an excess of pleasure would be converted into fat.
Of course for most creatures, burning all these calories boinking would do the opposite and cause weight loss. But demons are a magical species, and magic defies logic in strange ways. It makes sense in a whimsical way, imo.
I've always imagined that a demons' body shape is determined by their genetics. For example, if their non-demon parent is an ogre, then they might have a tall, hulkish body type. If their non-demon parent is a dworf, then they might have a short, squat body type. And so on...
But I imagine they inherit genetics from both their demon and non-demon parents. Like, if a demon father had a hulking body type (due to having an ogrish parent himself), and the mother was a skinny elf, their demon offspring would probably be tall and lean. If the father was a demon with a dworf parent, and the mother was a dworf, their offspring is guaranteed to be short and squat like both of their parents.
I'm going to say genetics play a big role in how much fat and muscle a demon has naturally, but they can also gain and lose weight depending on how well "fed" they are.
Any physical activity that isn't sex probably burns calories and builds muscle as normal.

Sirene Sex Question: How flexible is a sirene's tail? Also, are there other ways to get a sirene horny beyond their hair/scalp or more obvious ways (Squeezing the boobs, rubbing the genitalia region, etc)?
Unlike Terrestrial knees, sirene "knees" bend backward and forward like a hinge. A human leg has one knee, but a sirene tail has several. Overall, their tails have a much wider range of motion and more flexibility than legs.
The scalp is a special erogenous zone for sirenes because they have extra nerve endings there. But their chests and genitals also have many nerve endings just like humans, and they experience the same type of pleasure from those areas too!
Scalp massaging/hair brushing is like foreplay for them.

What health issues are most likely for each race?
COMMONERS
Human: The human spine is a disaster waiting to happen.
Dworf: Obesity.
Roshava: Joint problems like arthritis and worn tendons.
Troll: Skin cancer.
Ogre: Their weight causes a lot of stress on their knees.
FAE
Elf: Easily broken bones.
Goblin: Blindness.
Gnome: Respiratory diseases (fine dust particles affect them more).
Sirene: Sensitive to water pollution, loses fertility easily.
Cecaelia: Brain cancer.
GAIAN
Satyr: Liver failure.
Faun: Bowel obstructions.
Minotaur: Heavy skulls put a lot of stress on their necks, leading to hunched posture and back issues by middle-age.
Centaur: Broken legs and bad backs.
Gorgon: Genital infections (no legs or hair to "shield" that area).

Since roshava's top and bottom hands are a bit different do they have their own dominant hands? Could a roshava for example be left-handed on the top set but right-handed on the bottom set?
Good question! I think their dominant hands would both be on the same side.
However, roshava can also be ambidextrous, meaning they have equal control of both sides.
Their top set of arms is stronger, but has worse fine motor control. They use this set for heavy-handed tasks like hammering nails and punching people.
Their bottom set isn't as strong, but fine motor control is better. They use this set for more delicate tasks like writing and crafting.

What are the fae’s “arcane flaws”?
Elf: Their bodies are inefficient at expelling magic. This allows them to cast really powerful spells for their size, but to the detriment of their bodies. Elves struggle to gain weight and keep it on because every time they cast a spell, it burns a lot more calories compared to other fae. Because of this, they are prone to suffering arcane burnout more quickly than other fae.
Goblin: If a non-goblin addresses them by their full name, they will be magically compelled to follow the next spoken command like a thrall.
Gnome: They die at exactly 400 years old. It doesn't matter how well they take care of themselves, it doesn't matter if they're perfectly healthy...once the clock ticks down to exactly 400 years from birth, the gnome is cursed to die.
Sirene: When they sing, they involuntarily cast a spell that causes severe headaches, madness, anxiety, etc. in non-sirenes. This can be good for self-defense, but otherwise it's a big inconvenience. Sirenes can overcome this with arcane training, but it's difficult and time-consuming, and most do not have the time or resources to dedicate to this.
Cecaelia: Their magical regeneration can save their lives, but after a certain age it actually works against them. Cecaelia are naturally prone to brain cancer, and every time they regenerate, it speeds up the growth of this cancer, and also increases their chance of developing it in the first place. A cecaelia who suffered a lot of bodily damage in their youth will likely develop this cancer much earlier in life. Once their brain is destroyed by the cancer, the cecaelia dies and cannot regenerate.
Spright: When under prolonged stress, females become infertile and magically transform into "pseudo-males". This makes them stronger and better suited for fighting, thus more able to survive whatever crisis they're going through. But the change is permanent, and under the right conditions, it can lead to the extinction of the entire species. (This basically happened to the sprights in LG lore, they are very close to extinction with only a few hundreds individuals remaining.)

Gorgon Question Time: Let's say a female gorgon in Lamai has four eggs in a brood. How likely is it that she has all four "genders" in gorgons: A female, alpha male, ziqit, and medusa? I know full well medusas are made, not born, and it seems that the alpha/ziqit split is both nature and nurture, so how likely is it all four happen in a brood (Via an egg being made into a medusa but the others aren't)?
I don't know if I could give you exact statistical percentages or anything, but I can say it's pretty common for a brood to contain a female, alpha, and ziqit.
There is a 50/50 chance of male or female offspring. Almost all broods contain a runt, and if the runt is male then it will be considered a ziqit.
Any egg can become a medusa, though undersized (ziqit) eggs are usually avoided.
Overall I'd say a brood containing all 4 wouldn't be that unusual.
