See THIS is why I trust the writers because the whole point of the deadline passing was so we could SEE Poseidon surrendering for Percy. The show has given Poseidon a more active and loving role in Percys life. The gods pride would never let them surrender to one another. But Poseidon knew his brother wouldn’t spare his son’s life. And he knew the only thing that would spare his son’s life was him surrendering. ALSO FURTHER CEMENTING THAT PERCY IS HIS FAVORITE CHILD! The writers pens this episode>>>

The knife Ringo was using to cut soba noodles was made by Mizu.

It has her signature as the blade smith, which we saw her make when Master Eiji told her that a smith signs their name and to make 1,000 kitchen knives and then she might be ready to make a sword.

So Mizu cut off Hachiman's fingers with a kitchen knife she herself had made

And we can assume that's her unique signature as a smith and not a generic signature for Master Eiji's forge because Blood Soaked Chiaki's sword which they both worked on has two smith signatures; the first one likely Master Eiji's with Mizu's signature below it

Things I need in season two

- What they did in the following weeks after deciding to stay together

- Charles learning how to be a ghost

- Edwin learning what the world was like at that time

- How long Edwin had been alone after escaping hell and before meeting Charles

- Did Edwin also have to learn ghost rules after hell? Hell being a different plane so was he a soul in hell and ghost on earth? (I don’t know about the sandman universe so this may have already been addressed. Let me know if you know)

- Their first case!

- Deciding to start the detective agency

- Brainstorming names before settling on the dead boy detectives

- Looking for an office as if they were a couple searching for their forever home!

- Decorating the office! It being sparse to begin with and then filling up over the years after each case. (Great kind of montage moment)

- Flashbacks to the cases that were mentioned in season 1 ie, great puppy debacle of 94

Saw a post and thought of something

Edwin has a much MUCH higher pain tolerance than Charles. Like duh, Hell, but the way they show it on screen is SO good.

Edwin accidentally touches the iron bar in the police station, when he was getting the shoes. His hand was literally smoking, but he still got the shoes and was like, it's nothing.

Charles, in Esther's house, can barely move a little bit in the manacle. It hurts him too bad, and he didn't start smoking before he stopped. That's so interesting to me! If the roles were reversed, Edwin probably wouldn't have needed Monty's help escaping, because he could withstand the pain of reaching for the bag!

The warm lighting as Luke holds Percy at sword point because Percy trusts Luke. Luke would never hurt him.

Then Luke later betraying Percy in the very same woods and hurting him with the same sword as the lighting shifts to this ominous dark purple

i could write an essay on how the writers use lighting as a method of storytelling

manifesting season 2 of dead boys detectives with some things i wish to see:

1) Niko back (as a human / special creature)

2) Charles dealing with his desire to live as a "human boy"

3) Crystal and Edwin bonding (their dynamic as "sibling" is amazing)

4) simon and the cat king returning

5) Edwin having the opportunity to go to the afterlife but choosing to stay with Charles instead.

short fic idea: Charles pretends to be asleep and 'accidentally' leans against Edwin. Edwin, knowing perfectly well that ghosts can't sleep, enjoys being close to Charles far too much and therefore says nothing about it.
