I just get so excited about creating. Like, I finish a painting and it turned out okay? I want to hang it on the wall! A drawing was recognizable? I’m going to stare at that thing with so much pride. The yarn I spun turned out cool? Now I can’t decide what to make with it! Something I knit or crocheted worked for once? I’m sending pictures to everyone I know. I wrote something new? My discord and friends are getting live updates about it. The skirt I made with fabric I designed from a painting I did? I practically went feral wearing it in public the first time. I just love creating things. I don’t care if they’re the best in the world and I do get imposter syndrome and I am overly critical of my own work. but the high of creation? I love that

Finished my first spin on my EEW!! Super happy with it. It's my second (finished) spin (my actual second spin is still halfway done on my spindle)

It's 250 yards of cormo wool, averaging about fingering weight. At its smallest it's lace weight, and at its thickest it's a light worsted.

It's interesting how fast I went from thick and clumpy to so thin but still not super consistent. I would have assumed that the challenge is spinning thin, but it seems like the real challenge is maintaining the same thickness throughout.

I've got matching wool in a dark blue color that I've started, and I think it's much more uniform so far, but we'll see how it plies up!!
