No, because I've already talked about this to the Discord besties but I'm still vibrating over the fact that Percy didn't just sacrifice himself for Annabeth, he outsmarted her. He tricked her into letting him be the one to stay behind that's such an amazing detail

You were warned last night... Here are my thoughts and feelings about The Norwood Builder ajcnsj
First of all, an amazing episode for Watson imo. Up until now, we have seen him sort of grow into the detective he is. He's tried to make deductions, has tried to apply Holmes' methods, he has repeated Holmes' findings to clients like it's something he did in an attempt to participate in cases. And he has done this beautifully btw, with the consent and support from Holmes.
But The Norwood Builder is a different story. In this episode you can see how much Watson has grown, how much he has learned from Holmes. Watson is on top of things from the second their client comes in and Holmes does his typical deductions about his job, general living habits and possible health issues. Watson promptly replies to the confused look on McFarlane's face with "Your untidy clothes, sheaf of legal papers, watch chain and your somewhat irregular breathing". This means that Watson made the same observations and possibly got to the same conclusion himself, or at least can now easily and quickly see what Holmes sees. No longer "and how in the world did you guess that?". That in itself is amazing!
This is also the first time Holmes and Watson get separated on a case, each one with their own lead and actually goes somewhere. (Sure, Watson did some solo investigating in The Solitary Cyclist but he did a very bad job, bless him). In fact, in this episode Watson finds a pretty crucial clue that Holmes couldn't find. Mr. Logic was too upset about the case being too hard that he needed Watson to put in the work with a clear head and sit through paperwork until he found something. And he did!
And that leads me to another point that I adore about this episode. Holmes' whole mood. He's happy when he gets the case, he's interested and having fun. But later, it proves to be too complicated and difficult to solve. It frustrates him and before he goes into full depression mode, you can tell how desperate he's becoming to solve thins thing because he starts saying things like "I feel it in my bones" and "All my instincts are one way and all the facts are the other". Very unusual language for the man who can't make bricks without clay...
Which leaves me with another fantastic moment, and back to Watson, he is so kind in this episode. Twice he offers a frustrated Holmes a warm and calming hand.
Firstly by offering to go through Oldacre's bank papers while Holmes clears his head looking for clues outside. Which is a great decision since they both come across very important pieces of information.
But also at Baker Street, when Holmes is too focused, too frustrated, too depressed to eat, his loyal colleague and intimate friend the doctor is there to help. He's kind and patient, he picks up the discarded violin from the floor with such care. He crouches down next to Holmes to kindly ask him to eat. He pours him his tea and presents a plan: "Let's have some breakfast and then go out together and see what we can do." He's not sure how to solve the case either, but he's encouraging and supportive.
"I feel as I shall need your company and moral support today". That's all Watson can offer and that's all Holmes needs :')
This is particularly important to me because Sherlock Holmes can be quite extreme sometimes. He spends a little bit of time without any new cases and suddenly there's no more criminals in London. He finds a case a bit challenging and what if he's lost his talent? What if he'll never be able to solve another case again? (way too relatable Mr. Holmes, I feel attacked). So having a loving friend to reassure him that he can do this, is something that can actually be so personal <3

Doctor Who S14 Spoilers up to and including “The Legend of Ruby Sunday”
Okay so. SO. Time for some theorizing because holy heck I love this season of Doctor Who so much.  (and for the record, I've only seen New (2005) Who so if some of this doesn't mesh with the original series, that's why)
So we now know who the god, The One Who Waits, is. Sutekh. And it’s been established what gives these gods doorways into our world. For Maestro, the Devil’s Chord. And, to banish them, the Doctor and Ruby needed the inverse - an opposing musical chord, the opposite.
We know Ruby is important. We know she is so important (and I say that fully genuine and with all the love because dang do I love her). The night she was born - Christmas Eve, 2004, during a snowstorm. The Doctor outright says that night is incredibly important. Even without knowing why. Repeating for emphasis: The night she was born. The night Sutekh entered our world. And so how do you banish him? What’s the inverse? And the answer is, of course: The day of her death.
I think something is going to happen (likely intentional by Ruby herself), to make Ruby and Sutekh inextricably bound (in a sense, it already has).
The episode “73 Yards” in particular has already given us several important clues. I thought, after that episode, that the chance Ruby’s “mother” is actually herself became very slim. Because now they’ve already done her crossing back over her own timeline. And to do so again wouldn’t be very thematically impactful anymore. Been there, done that. And I thought the way it looped itself - from the moment the fairy circle was broken, to the moment of her death - a full circle - was the reason it had to be (was always destined to be) the moment of her death.
But now - Sutekh. The One Who Waits. The god of Death.
And “the woman” in "73 Yards" (Ruby) - we still don’t know what she said, when people approached her. But they would stop, and stare, horrified, at Ruby. Always at Ruby. Anyone. Everyone. Even her own mother ran from her, never faced her again.
(pardon my paraphrasing but-) “I wonder what would happen if you parked a perception filter on something like that.”
And: “It exists around the TARDIS on the VHS. But what if it exists around the TARDIS now, and we just can’t see it.”
Which is to say: Ruby Sunday, haunted by Death itself. Inextricably bound. Always there - always, this whole time - but no one could see him. Except for in a timeline altered by a perception filter, immediately after interacting with the manifestation of the moment of her death - only then could people see it.
And now - now there’s a different reason why Ruby’s mother back in 2004 could be herself. Because it’s not just a twist of “oh it was her all along” - it’s “why was it her all along?”
Why can’t Ruby see the face of her mother through the memory window? Because she knows she’s watching. She knows just how to time it to avoid 2024-Ruby and the Doctor seeing her face. But they see her “mother” crying. And they think it’s because she’s just given up her child. But perhaps not. Perhaps, it’s because she knows she’s about to die.
Ruby has a key to the TARDIS. Christmas Eve, 2004, the TARDIS reappears - 20 meters north of where it had been before. It is entirely possible - probable, even - that she goes back to that day alone. To close the loop. To sacrifice herself, on the night of her birth, to die and banish Sutekh along with her.
“It was the wrong acronym,” The Doctor says. But what if it wasn’t? What if it was just one of two opposing anagrams. Sutekh, and TARDIS. Because they need the opposite.
And Susan - she doesn’t appear just anywhere. She doesn’t appear throughout the Doctor’s timeline. And we know this for sure, because a version of her, the hiker, still exists in “73 Yards,” in the timeline where there is no Doctor. She’s connected to Ruby.
And the snow. The snow that appears around Ruby. The snow that is connected specifically to Ruby.
"The gods made harbingers to warn us of their coming." Harriet Arbinger - the one who speaks Sutekh’s prophecy as he comes into form. But I’d argue we still don’t know what Susan is. But we’re given, in this episode, the metaphor of a chrysalis. The scans say she’s human, yes - but that could change. And we’ve seen the Doctor running a scan on Ruby Sunday: human (at least for now).
But in the moment when Sutekh manifests in 2024, Susan is changed. She is changed in the same way Sutekh’s harbinger - Harriet - is. And I hardly think that’s a coincidence. Because maybe Susan is a harbinger too - but Ruby Sunday’s harbinger.
Because to banish a god, you’ve got be be powerful. Or rather, you’ve got to be important. Because if you're the one to banish a god, that makes you important - now, and in the future, and in the past. In some ways, it makes you as powerful as that god.
All this to say:
I think Ruby Sunday will somehow bind herself to Sutekh, and become “haunted” in the same way the TARDIS is in “The Legend of Ruby Sunday" (and this is what people see in “73 Yards”). She will become the “inverse” that’s needed to banish him from the world. And the way to do this is for her to die, on Christmas Eve, 2004 - the inverse of her birth, of the night that Sutekh first manifested. This would make the date of her birth and the date of her death the exact same - closing the timeline in a neat circle. And Susan is connected to Ruby - not to the Doctor (“Did you think I was family, Doctor?” she taunts, once changed) - because she’s Ruby’s harbinger, just as much as the snow is.
