Note: Okay I might be in a small percentage but I actually enjoyed CA:BNW! I love Sam Wilson/Anthony Mackie and I love him as Captain America. Although I wasn't too on board with Marvel the last couple years, I'm pretty excited for this next phase and can't wait to see Sam lead the Avengers for Doomsday 🥹 Sam Wilson you are my Captain America !!!

Being in a relationship with Sam Wilson/Captain America would look like:

Sam is a very attentive partner. He makes sure your needs are met and that you never have to question his feelings toward you. Whether that be communicating it in words, or showing you through actions, you feel Sam's love every second of every day. 

It's not always easy being the partner of Captain America and you knew that going into the relationship. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a date or redirect a planned occasion for an anniversary because the fate of the world is at stake. But Sam always makes it up to you, and who are you to turn down an all-paid trip by the government as a thank you to your superhero love. "Baby, I know I missed your birthday because of aliens invading, but how do you feel about spending the next two weeks in Bora Bora?" "You won't be on call will you?" "No, the others will handle any shit that goes down while we're gone." "I'll go pack."

During football season you can bet your house is the place to be when the Saints are playing. Sam will get the barbeque going and you'll be in charge of the side. Bucky will supply the alcohol, because even though he's a Giants fan he still is y'all's best friend and he never misses a Wilson Family Party.  You can also expect the Saints to give you two season tickets to their home games and field access. Sam is like a little kid the first time you guys are invited--you even have a video on your phone of him and his nephews 'scoring' a touchdown. 

We know Sam is a big fan of Marvin Gaye and Sunday nights are spent cuddling on the couch to watch a movie before eventually Sam puts on a record and brings you to the middle of the living room floor to dance. You'll be giggling into his chest as he spins you in the air, dipping back to kiss your lips, and being in your own little world. "Did I tell you Steve loved this album after I recommended it to him? I knew he'd like it. Bucky didn't--can you believe that shit?" 

You sometimes have to force Sam to go to bed because he tends to work late at nights. Tracing one last lead, responding to one more email. It worries you when he pushes himself to the limits and therefor you have to smack some sense into him every once in a while. "Baby, you won't be able to save America if you drain yourself like this. You need to rest--I promise you that can wait till the morning." 

Joaquin Torres is basically your adopted child. He is constantly over at your house, eating your food, watching a sports game with Sam or staying over because the two were working on a mission and lost track of time. You adore the kid (he's literally in his late 20s), and love that Sam has someone out there looking out for him. With Bucky off with the Thunderbolts, Steve retired, and the Avengers still yet to come together, Sam needs a wingman--and Joaquin is someone he'd risk his life for. 

You are close with Isiah Bradley and send him holiday cards every year as well as on his birthday. Whenever you and Sam are on the East Coast you make time to visit Isiah and his grandson in Baltimore. When the Ravens and Saints play against each other there's gonna be some playful rivalry between y'all. And when the Ravens win, Sam receives a "Better luck next time," text with a raven gif (which you taught Isiah how to send). 

His love languages are acts of service (are we surprised) and words of affirmation. These can both be applied to giving and receiving, because yes Sam knows how to give a great pep talk to those who need it, but also he needs some affirmation as well. Whenever he's feeling down or starts doubting himself, you're right there to remind him that he is what the world needs. He is Captain America.

Let's face it, you and Sam are the life of the party when there's an event. If there's a dancefloor and a DJ, you two are running there the second your favorite songs start playing and it's causing the rest of the guests to form a circle around you two. You're hyping each other up, dancing like maniacs, and don't give a damn about what others think. But you will see a "Captain America throws it down on dancefloor with partner," headline on the news the next day and you guys are trending on all social media platforms. 

Sam never keeps secrets from you about his job. He knows better than try to hide things from you especially if his life is in danger or you are a potential target. After the Accords fiasco, where you literally ripped him a new one for getting sent to the Raft, he would rather face Thanos again with all six infinity stones than face you at your wrath. "If you ever pull that shit again, Sam Wilson, it's not the government you'll need to worry about coming after you ass."  Yeah, he's taking that risk. 

Every weekend you guys take the boat out and will have a picnic while you see if you catch anything. Sometimes the boys will join you, other times it's just the two of you. You'll bring a speaker to play music and enjoy the peacefulness of the open water---a rare feat as Sam's life now that he's Captain America is always constant action. It pains him to leave you for long periods of time, but coming back and having moments as simple as catching fish in his family's boat, that's what he looks forward to the most.

— Will Byers and Holly Wheeler bonding and Mike absolutely meltinggg yes please (bro is so cooked)

— Will and Mike babysitting Holly, they start flirting and that’s one of the reasons Holly disappeares. Mike ofc blames himself for getting distracted and carried away with his flirting and VOILA! ANGSTTT (Mike Queerler blaming himself for acting queer and seeing Holly’s disappearance as a punishment from some higher power for being gay)

— I want the moment Will sees Mike’s new haircut so baddd you guys don’t understand. “You look… it looks great, Mike” AIDHWKHDKWHRKAHSJWHRJIWEU

— Byler hugs come home, we miss you. Byler hugs. Home. Byler. HUGS. Byler HUGS. HUGGIES AND CUDDLINGGG

— That pic of Finn sitting in a room with wide open yellow curtains right behind him, looking troubled as the light falls on him…? Yeah. I want to see whatever revelations Mike’s having in that scene (hmm I wonder what they might be about…) CLEARLY on his face! I want to see the “Oh. Oh.” moment in action. (Although I think he’s already had his oh OH moment in s3 and/or s4 so maybe that’s not what’s going on in this scene, but still I want 🤌EMOTIONS🤌✨)

— Chill Mileven breakup on the rooftop, Mike immediately moving on to talk about how worried he is for Will and El immediately clocking his shit but keeping it to herself

— The bullies that used to bully the Party back in the days teasingly call Mike “Zombie Boy’s Boyfriend” and he doesn’t bat an eye, but then they shove Will into a locker or something with no intention of picking a fight and Mike IS NOT HAVING IT… fighting ensues and punches are thrown and Wheelers are beaten black and blue ❤️ (Go bad bitch go bad bitch go)

Hooray! 🥰 (For now I might add, it’s far from over innit) (Also I just saw a post about how actions speak louder than words in ST and that Byler probably won’t say out loud — or tap — ily to each other. Alternatively Mike taps “crazy together”? But I’m also not too big on the GIVE-US-THROWBACKS-TO-PREVIOUS-SEASONS-AND-THEIR-BYLER-MOMENTS stuff so… yk what idk but Mike IS using morse code to snap Will out of it because I SAID SO!)

— Y’all this is smth I made up myself in a late night Byler scenario once and never shared (I thenk) so it’s technically not a hate but: yk how the only part of Will not possessed in s2 (the one hand he used to tap messages in morse code to the others) was the hand Mike held earlier on in the season? Well, what if that’s the key to snap him out of his possession temporarily? Idk how Mike figures it out, maybe he connects the dots somehow and just goes with it, but picture this: Will is possessed, fighting back as Mike holds him close and just — touches him. NOTHING SEXUAL! Just, the sensuality of it? Mike holding Will close after ages of not properly hugging him, running his hands through his hair and over his backs and shoulders and arms and yeee Will slowly starts to regain control over his body, all whilst still spitting things that undeniably sting. Because yk. Vecna and allat. So it’s like Mike is being Vecna’s but it’s real, but it’s also not real because Will doesn’t mean that and he’s not even the one saying those things, it’s Vecna. And then ig Mike maybe… KISSES Will in the end to stop him from talking and give him back the ability to speak freely too? Steve didn’t want to leave the kitchen.

“Get the hell out there, Harrington!” George scolded him. “It’s a bunch of middle schoolers!”

Yeah, Steve refused to serve a table of middle schoolers. Because they weren’t /just/ middle schoolers.

They were his middle schoolers.

Accompanied by Miss. Byers and Jonathan.

Steve internally groaned. He had been completely avoiding and refusing to tell any of them where he worked and had sworn Hopper to secrecy. Dramatic? Sure. But valid? Absolutely.

Those kids were menaces. Even Will in his own way, giving Steve one of those sweet smiles of his to get him to give them rides almost whenever. Ugh.

The point is; Steve didn’t want to the Brat Bridge to know where he worked. Because then they’d come just about everyday to harass him.

But a teasing comment about “Scaredy Steve” from Mason had Steve punching Mason in the arm and marching out into the actual diner.

Gwen walked past him into the kitchen with a tray of dirty dishes. She clapped him on the shoulder with a sly smile. “Good luck, they’re a loud bunch.”

Steve sighed. “Trust me, I know.”

Five kids, one teen, and one adult. Steve would be fine. It’d be totally fine. He sees these people like every goddamn day—

“Steve!”

He’s been spotted.

Steve gave a strained smile to Dustin, who was actually bouncing in his chair between Mike and Max, who were both looking at him like a freaky big they’d never seen before.

“What are you doing here?” Lucas chirped, across from Dustin, grinning ear to ear. Will sat quietly next to him but smiled at Steve when they made eye contact.

Steve crossed his arms and popped his hip, a small grin of his own plastering his face. “I work here, Sinclair. Now what does the Brat Pack want?”

A chorus of shouts of different menu items flew at Steve all at once. He chuckled quietly, and then groaned louder— just to be a dramatic shit.

“One at a time! You learned how to take turns in kindergarten, didn’t you? Or are you guys still there?”

Dustin and Mike immediately protested, Max making a dig at Steve’s “elementary school IQ”. While the three of them argued with a not-listening Steve, Steve turned his attention to Will and Lucas.

Orders were placed quickly after. Steve turning to Jonathan and Joyce after the kids.

When he gave the paper to Mason the raised eyebrow he got back held thousands of questions. Questions Steve ignored with a smirk and wave of his hand.

His shift that day was rowdy and filled with teasing and laughter. Not much different than usual but it was warmer. More comforting. The kids didn’t leave with Miss. Byers, opting to stay behind with Jonathan and wait until Steve’s shift ended.

Allya and George waved Steve off about closing, insisting they’d get to it themselves.

So, Steve and Jonathan split the brats up between their cars; Lucas, Mike and Dustin with Steve, Max and Will with Jonathan.

“Steve can we go to your house? Please?” Dustin begged, hanging off of Steve’s arm while they all walked to the cars. Steve pretended to think about it, already knowing full well that he’d give in and let them storm his trailer.

He sighed dramatically, just for shits and giggles, before agreeing. Because he’s a giant push over.

Steve and Jonathan split the kids up and Jonathan followed Steve all the way to trailer park.

“Hang on—“ Dustin slapped Steve’s arm from his seat in the passengers side. “Don’t you live in Loch Nora?”

Steve huffed, his irritation flaring at the reminder. He quickly tramped it down, refusing to be angry at Dustin for being curious.

“Used to. Moved out once I got Louie.” He explained, barely even a lie.

Mike and Lucas shared a glance in the back seat. Steve narrowed his eyes at them before quickly returning his gaze to the road. He’d have a talk to them later about trying to play detective.

Jonathan and Steve pulled in side by side in the driveway. The kids got out one by one, rushing to the porch and waiting impatiently for Steve to open it for them.

Steve smiled a small smile at the antics, before catching Jonathan staring at him out of the corner of his eye.

Steve turned to him with a confused raise of his eyebrows. Jonathan raised his own eyebrows and looked pointedly to the trailer before back at Steve.

So it wasn’t Lucas and Mike playing detective, it was Jonathan.

Steve rolled and eyes and made a very pointed and obvious “later” look before pushing through the kids and unlocking the door.

The kids discarded their shoes haphazardly and spread out in the living room, looking at everything.

“I’ll be right back. Break anything and I’ll break your asses.”

Max and Mike rolled their eyes, disappearing with Will down the hall to no doubt look around more. Dustin and Lucas stayed in the living room.

“Where are you going? And where’s Louie?” Lucas asked suspiciously.

Steve rolled his eyes fondly. “Wow ok. More interested in my kid than me, Sinclair?” Lucas spluttered a reply, but Steve waved him off with a chuckle. “I’m kidding, doofus. Louie’s up at Gran— er, Margaret’s, because I had work.”

Lucas deemed this an ok answer and let Steve go.

He knocked on Gran’a door three times before she opened, Louie on her hip and the twins right behind her. Noah and Casey immediately ran out the door to hug Steve on the small porch, each hanging off of a different leg as Steve reached out to take Louie from Gran.

“Heya, baby!” Steve greeted the now teething infant. Teething, as Louie immediately stuck Steve’s shirt collar in his mouth to chew on.

Steve smiled at Gran, letting her know the brats were over but that they could still have dinner together that night if she was ok with an extra five kids (and Jonathan).

Grab waved him off. “The more the merrier, dear.”

Noah and Casey followed Steve home, Gran having to go run some errands and taking advantage of Steve finally being home. Steve didn’t mind.

He’d just made it to the bottom of his porch when something caught his eye across the street; leaving his own trailer was Eddie Munson, his hair thrown half-up-half-down and his shirt and jeans ripped to basically scraps. He was grinning and talking while walking backwards, supposedly to the old man standing in the doorway.

Eddie turned around just in time to make eye contact with Steve, raise an eyebrow, and grin devilishly. He stuck out his tongue, and Steve and Louie both giggled.

Steve broke the tension-filled eye contact to look down at little baby Louie, who was still chewing on his shirt. Louie grinned back at him, his little teeth nubs shiny. When Steve looked back to Eddie, the van was gone and the pretty metalhead was nowhere in sight.

“Steve! Why are you withholding the child?” Max demanded.

Steve snapped back to reality just enough to glare over his shoulder at her.
