Miko loves everything about you. Especially your hair. Tonight you and Miko are over at Mauro’s house where he is hosting a get together with lots of friends and acquaintances that Miko knew. And that’s when she hears it. Your name being whispered amongst the group, followed by quiet laughter and jeers. Miko freezes.

“I bet Miko wishes she had straight hair— there’s no way in hell I’d be seen with someone who looks like they’ve just woken up,” one of them sneers, scrunching up their face in disgust as the other friends snicker.

“Dios mío, parece que tiene un nido de ratas en la cabeza,” another chimes in, their eyes looking up at you up and down with disdain. The snickers turn into laughs, careless and taunting.

Miko’s blood boils.

In the midst of her anger, Miko’s heart aches for you. You, blatantly unaware of what was being said about you, continue to giggle and talk with Mari across the room. You barely even know the people who were talking about you behind your back, and they barely even know you, either. How dare they?

Miko doesn’t even think twice and storms over to them. Her chest rises up and down with anger. And her fists are to her side, clenched.

“What the fuck is your problem?” Miko growls at her friends, and the group’s faces grow pale as they all snap their heads up to see Miko, unaware that their comments have been heard. The first friend opens her mouth to say something but the other one beats her to it.

Unbeknownst to Miko, your attention draws to the confrontation.

“Tranquila, Miko, no estaba hablando en serio,” she protests with an awkward chuckle and Miko clenches her jaw.

“Esa es mi novia de la que estabas bromeando,” Miko snaps, her tone sharp. “Ni siquiera la conoces y bromeas sobre su cabello. If you can’t respect her, then we can’t be fucking friends.”

At that moment, Miko feels a hand touch her shoulder. She instinctively knows that it’s you, and she prays that you didn’t hear anything that was being said. Yet when looks at you and sees your tear-filled eyes, her fears are confirmed.

You had heard everything.

“Que se vayan a la mierda todos ustedes,” Miko snarls, shooting one last menacing glare at her two now ex-friends before turning to you, her expression softening instantly as she takes your hand in hers. “C’mon, baby. Let’s go.”

Without another word, Miko leads you out of the room and out the door. She helps you get in the car before hurrying to the driver’s seat.

“Estás bien, mi vida?” Miko asks softly, giving your thigh a gentle squeeze, and despite you nodding, Miko knows better.

The car ride home is silent. Miko glances every now and then at your direction, her heart aching at the sight of your sad expression, and she is racking her brains for a way to make you feel better. She helps you get out of the car once you two arrive home, her arm wrapped around you, tightly, protectively, and the moment you two sit down on the couch, you break down.

“Ay, Y/N.” Miko pulls you to her lap, gently guiding your head to her chest. “No te pongas así, eres demasiada linda para llorar.”

Each sob that comes out from you only makes Miko’s heart twist. She gently rocks your body from side to side, peppering you in kisses, whispering sweet nothings as your sobs turn from cries to soft whimpers and hiccups. You’ve calmed down now, but Miko can tell that you’re still upset.

“Is it true what they said, Miko? My hair looks like a rat’s nest?” you murmur softly, and ever so gently, Miko lifts your chin up.

“Claro que no, Y/N. Your hair is absolutely beautiful. They have no idea what they’re talking about.” Miko pecks your lips, softly, gently. “Eres hermosa, mi amor, no creas nada de lo que dicen, por favor.”

“Thank you, Miko,” you sigh after a beat of silence, nuzzling into her touch. “Can we cuddle, please?”

Miko coos. “Yes, of course, my love. Quieres hacerlo aquí o en nuestro cuarto?”

“Nuestro cuarto,” you reply, sniffling, and with that, Miko lifts you off the couch with ease and carries you to the bedroom.

Miko carefully places you down, her eyes silently asking you for permission, and with a nod, she begins to take off your clothes. It’s your favorite way to cuddle, skin to skin, limbs tangled together, and Miko is more than willing to join you if it meant your happiness and comfort. Once Miko strips out of her clothing, she leads you the bed by the hand. Under the covers, she wraps her arms around you, and kisses the top of your head.

“Gracias, baby,” you hum, cuddling closer to your girlfriend.

Miko smiles softly. “No hay que agradecerme, mi amor. Estoy aquí para ti. Always.”

You lift your head up and kiss her cheek. Miko then gently cups your cheek, stroking your skin with her thumb as she looks into your eyes for a moment, and then connects her lips with yours. The kiss is gentle and soft, and Miko feels you melt into her, your hand lightly grilling the back of her neck, the sound of your soft moans making Miko’s heart flutter. Miko then pulls away slightly.

“Is this okay?” Miko murmurs softly, searching your eyes, and she doesn’t hesitant to reconnect her lips as soon as you nod your head.

The kiss becomes more passionate with a hint of urgency in it, your soft moans and gasps giving Miko all the confidence she needs to move forward. Her travels down to the valley of your breasts, gently sucking on the soft flesh, before going further down to your stomach and just below your belly button. jeonghan was more hurt than your ever thought he would be. you leaving him to be with his best friend? he was so sad. but how could he blame you? he was such a terrible guy towards you these last couple weeks. he drove to your house immediately. he waited for you as long as he needed to until you got home.

he sat in his car waiting for you to pull up with cheol. he can’t even stop for a moment without thinking about you. he can’t hide from his feelings anymore because all it does is eat him alive. he hasn’t told you but being in the situationship was killing him as much as it was hurting you. he was just too good at hiding it.

he was brought out of his thoughts when he seen cheol’s car pull into your driveway. you waved to the boy, thanking him for the ride. he was quick to get out of his car. running to your front door as you opened it.

“jeonghan??? what are you doing here?” you were startled by the other boys appearance.

“please can we talk? i’ve been waiting here for an hour for you.” you look at him a little bit more. he looks like he’s been crying. you slowly nodded at him as he came inside with you.

“first- did you and cheol um- fuck or anything?” the thought was eating him alive. he couldn’t even handle the two of you kissing.

“no jeonghan- i just kissed him to make you jealous. he just took me to get some food. he was comforting me.” he nods slowly as you two sit on your couch.

“so you don’t like him?” his eyes look teary.

“jeonghan- no! i’m in love with you. i don’t even understand why we’re having this conversation- you’re just gonna reject me i know! go home.” you try to get up but jeonghan grabs your hand.

“please don’t walk away. just listen to me.” you sit back down with a sigh. you were really not in the mood for him to tell you he just wants sex.

“i’m so sorry for everything. i thought that if i buried all of my feelings for you i could just forget. i don’t want to bury them anymore. i can’t even- i can’t go a single minute without thinking of you. i want to hold you and kiss you. i don’t want anyone else. how could i? you’re the most perfect girl in the entire world.” he grabs your hands.

“i’m so in love with you. i’m sorry i did all of this when i could’ve just had you the second you told me about your feelings. i’m so fucking stupid. you’re all i need. i know- it might take awhile for you to even begin to forgive me for how i’ve treated you. i want to be your boyfriend- if you still want that of course.” tears were now in your eyes. you let go of his hands to cry in your own hands. you were sobbing. he pulled you into his arms to comfort you.

“i’m so sorry- i don’t want to make you cry. never. i-i love you.” you wrapped your arms around jeonghan with tears still streaming down your eyes.

“i l-love you too- god i hate you.” you laughed a little as you wiped your tears. he smiles at you as he helped you wipe the tears.

“you’re so beautiful- i’m so in love.” you look away from him with a blush.

“shut up. i’m still mad at you- and tired. i’m so tired.” he nods before letting go of you.

“i just wanted to talk to you tonight or i would of died of overthinking.” he stood up before leaving a kiss on your head.

“where are you going?” you asked him as you saw him gathering his keys.

“angel you said you were upset still and tired- i’m gonna go home. i don’t want to overwhelm you.” you shook your head.

“okay of course i’m a little upset. but i want you to stay. please? sleep with me.” he stops in his tracks.

“are you sure?” you nod standing up with him. he nods as he takes his shoes off.

“let’s go to sleep.” you lead him to your room as you quickly change in to comfortable clothes.

“i still have some of your clothes in my closet for you.” he thanks your before changing aswell. you practically jump into your bed. jeonghan trailing behind you and he climbs in next to you. you turn to look at him and he’s already staring right back at you.

“tired hannie?” he nods at you as he sighs. he pulls you to cuddle him.

“i love you. let’s sleep.” you get comfortable in his arms as you murmur i love you. you quickly falling asleep to his slow back rubs.

the next morning was one of the best mornings you had. you woke up to jeonghan’s peaceful snoring. he was so cute. you left a soft kiss on his head. you didn’t want to wake him. you stare at him for awhile waiting for him to get up. you were still making up your mind for what he asked you.

I got Dream Thieves sooner than I expected! It's good to get back into the groove of the series.

I definitely missed Ronan and all the moments where it's revealed how sweet he is and how he comes off as mean or rude because he is protective of the people he loves. I particularly appreciate his relationship with Matthew (such a golden retriever, the sweet boy!!!). I almost wonder if his rough exterior is perpetuated by the way people treat him- like even the way Calla calls him "Snake", surely that must continue a cycle where he feels the need to outwardly be a "bad boy".

Golly gee, I forgot everything Blue goes through in this book- kissing Noah, breaking up with Adam, her night car ride with Gansey. This girl sure has the romantic drama!

It does make me sad, though, how Noah kinda loses his importaces after the first book? Like, ofc he's still there and the catalyst of it all, but... he's a fading boy.

Also, I know the whole point of Adam's story is that he's changing because of Cabeswater and the power/influence waking the ley line gives him. (Maybe even the confidence to pave his own way in life!) but the line about him and Gansey being on perpendicular paths, not parallel ones, actually hit so hard. Like yeah... sometimes life's that way, and it really does suck, and you just have to keep on living it, even if your best friend has to follow a different route.

(I forgot Kavinsky died, but whoooooops. I also kinda love and hate his role, like ik he kinda has to be there for Ronan's Adam awakening, but also... I feel like he really pulls Ronan into his toxic circle before he goes out.)

Ronan 😔✋ he was going through it in this book and I also think it’s bc he’s just always feeling like he’s so other and doesn’t fit into this world bc of his dreaming and everything (especially given greywaren) So yeah Ronan goes through life with a hard exterior bc I think after his father’s death, he has the stress of making sure he doesn’t become a cause of another one. He’s had to learn to keep his distance and try not to care but he cares so much and it fucks him up inside. Also the tension between him and Declan and how Matthew ironically tethers him in this world bc Ronan loves him so much and after Declan’s pov in the dreamer trilogy the lynch brothers will forever have changed me.

Omg blue was also going through it in this book 😭 and also when I first read it I was so annoyed that Adam just kept wanting to kiss blue and wasn’t taking the no (like being all pissy and sad) cuz I was like she shouldn’t. have. to give. you. a reason! But then I was also like Adam just wants to be loved and to be wanted and blue DID want to kiss him but she didn’t want to risk it cuz like imagine you kiss a dude bc you think ur not soulmates and then u end up killing him anyway OOF so their breakup was so angsty but much needed cuz they just were not ready for each other (Adam bc he was just getting frustrated blue was keeping something from him and Blue bc she wasn’t ready to tell him about the curse)

And so! When blue and Noah kissed I was like this is so fucked up just let them all kiss each other 😭

I will also always be so bittersweet about Noah bc from a storytelling perspective yes him fading away and being forgotten is important but also…noah come back 😭

Steve’s character development?? Omg made me so emotional I cried so much. The way he listened to omega even though everything inside of him told him to end peter… but he still let go for her, bc he loves and he knew he would lose her if he didn’t control himself🥹

And the panic attack? Read about Steve in this situation, Steve the strong alpha who’s always in control, just completely lose himself bc someone dared to touch the woman he loves and talk about their relationship. SO HEARTBREAKING that was the first time I cried during reading this.

And the car ride to her mother’s house pls it was so entertaining😭 Steve suggests to play this game just so he could ask her this question while this cute thing being completely clueless and asks him his fav color😭😭😭😭

But this sweet little moment they had smiling at each other and him kissing her and telling she’s cute I MELTED😭 it almost felt like he’s a normal person🥹

And when they got to her mother’s house, the part with him reading her diary and calling her a nerd omg this little normal couple moments have my heart 🥹🥹🥹😭😭😭😭😭

And i love how protective he gets when it’s about her, wanting to find one of her mother’s ex bf and kill him cause he touched her? Im such a slut for men like that fr

And at his parents house🥹 Steve is such a mama’s boy I can’t. i loved every moment of them at his parents house, it felt like this place really brought out the best of them. At Steve’s place there was Bucky and sam around and idk I just always got the feeling omega is super uncomfortable with that. And at his parents house it felt like she was more calm, and even found a friend🥹 she always wanted a real mother, and her being friend with her mother in law was so good and healthy for her. She never really had anyone to talk to and Steve’s mother really gets her being an omega herself

Omega’s constant need to be with Steve was honestly adorable, yet so sad at the same time. Like she was always afraid that if she’d not never to him he’ll just disappear and leave her alone with her thoughts and she was so scared of that

Ngl at the ultrasound I was kinda scared that their gonna find out that there is no baby but there wad and this moment was so wholesome😭🥹

And yk what I don’t wanna talk about this whole Bucky thing ok this made me way to emotional and i love Bucky and I hate him at the same time and this whole thing just broke me

But the end and the epilogue i just 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 cried!! so!!! Much!!!!!!! IT WAS PERFECT i loved it i just loved the way they both changed so much and became literally perfect for each other. And they change so much to fit each other and make this relationship so healthy and pure and full of love🥹
