Hot Drinks Tin
In the heart of winter, this cute little tin sits on the shelf waiting for someone to open its lid and peek inside. A delightful array of hot chocolate flavours await!
This was such a fun project and made me feel cosy with each flavour! I've always been inspired by the "Squirrel Hot Chocolate" which I think came as a deco object with Outdoor Retreat. It was soon time to give that tin some functionality!
💕 Thank you to my wonderful patrons for your incredibly inventive suggestions. I have tried to include as many as I could, I hope you like them. 💕
Important: *Make sure you have a coffee machine on the property, as the hot drinks will be made using that.
How to use: Download the two files, and unzip the "Hot Chocolate Recipes_All" file, choosing the recipes you want! In game: This object is purchasable from Build/Buy mode under the "Small Appliances" section. Place the tin somewhere in your Sims' house (Live Drag available!). Click on the tin and a menu will pop up saying "Make Hot Chocolate". Select a flavour, use the coffee machine to make it, and happy sipping!
Skill Levels & Ingredients: These hot chocolates have ingredients and will require different skill levels* to make. *If you are only seeing a few flavours, it may be that your Sim's Cooking skill is not high enough!
Current Recipes: Some of the recipes give custom buffs :) - Classic Hot Chocolate - Lactose-Free Hot Chocolate - Peppermint Hot Chocolate - Rainbow Hot Chocolate - S'more Hot Chocolate - Cinnamon Hot Chocolate - Orange Hot Chocolate (optional: uses my custom Orange Harvestable -> 🍊 <-) - Coconut Hot Chocolate - Hazelnut Pretzel Hot Chocolate - Gingerbread Hot Chocolate - Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate - Triple Hot Chocolate - Chilli Hot Chocolate (optional: uses my custom Chilli Harvestable -> 🌶️ <-) - White Hot Chocolate - Black Forest Hot Chocolate

𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐄.
PAIRING — college!jasontodd x black!femreader
SYNOPSIS — you choose dare.
WORD COUNT — 1498 words.
WARNINGS + CONTENT — biting, very very sloppy making out. dry humping. pet names, doll, angel, pretty. little praise. super short for my standards. some jealousy. mentions of weed and drinking or alcohol. implied hook up with roy. a bit scattered. little hair pulling. no use of y/n. a little bit awkward cause i hate writing dialogue. might be ooc but let me have this. lots and lots of marking.
you're sat in roy's apartment all in a circle on his dingy carpet that was once a bright orange but turned into a dark brown. his place smelled like stale beer and weed which was obviously roy's doing. he and jason sat on both sides of you while your other friends filled up the remaining spots. both roy and jason go to your university but you don't understand how they even work as friends.
"truth or dare?"
music was soft in the background as some song from roy's playlist was playing to remove the silence from their hangout.
"dare." you shrugged as you took a sip from your cup and roy took some time to decide on what he wanted your dare to be. he knew deep down that jason's chest filled with a warmth when he looked at you, or talked to you or thought to you. his feelings weren't all innocent however, all filthy, filled with thoughts of you pressed against a wall with his hands in fistful of your braids as he rutted his hips against you in a feverish glow. it was seemingly obvious to him but he and jason were best friends so if anyone would know it'd be him.
roy knew jason better than he knew himself. he always kept a mental note of jason's reaction when he saw you walk out of their shared apartment in the early morning before classes with your clothes put on haphazardly, braids a little messy and a dreamy look in your eyes with your neck littered with little purple marks. he just looked at roy with a piercing stare after he left the room shortly after with a white shirt being pulled on quickly after you left. jason already connected the dots as his jaw ticked at the idea of his best friend having a chance with you before he did.
"i dare you to. . ." roy began and somehow you and jason ended up in his room, you on the edge of his bed and he might as well be a galaxy away from you as he's sat with his back against the headrest. you'd be lying to yourself if you thought jason wasn't attractive, with his light eyes and minimal facial hair that made him look absolutely delicious. not to mention the little dimples he had just below the apples of his cheeks. he was just so him and that was so attractive to you and just about anyone with enough sense and eyes.
you chewed on your bottom lip, strawberry flavoured lipgloss making it's way on your tongue and mixing with the slight taste of beer. "i like your shirt." you said and looked at him as he spoke. "thanks," he said and he slowly shifted closer to you but that wasn't even evident to you. he placed a hand near your thigh, you looked down at his hand and noticed the scars. he had one that went across his palm and it filled with callouses and you instinctively took his hand in yours. you knew he was into working out from what roy told you and it showed, his taut muscles were prominent as his shirt clung to his biceps and it made you a bit dizzy. you saw as his veins protruded from his arm, pulsing with each rush of blood through his limbs. god, he was so perfect.
"what are you doing?" jason asked with a laugh that racked though his chest, a deep timbre that you'd never noticed before. had he always been so. . . your type? you didn't even know and maybe this had been a sign that you should've spent the night with him instead of roy, but he was a whole nothing story.
you let out a slight puff of air, "i don't know, lookin' at you i guess." you told him honestly, "you're just really pretty to look at." you admitted to jason and continued to study his features, all of them from each scar to imperfection and how his irises sparkled with a tinge of blue in the dim warm lights of his bedroom. he gave you a little smile before he eyes flashed a darker shade of ocean blue.
"yeah? ya' think i'm pretty doll?"
you nodded with a little smile and jason was nearly pressing against you now, his breath hitting the side of your neck and your hand ended up on his thigh as he took in your scent of vanilla body wash and shea butter location. it was addicting to him.
"you're real pretty too." he said and you reached forward to kiss him, he was even more in love with the way your lips tasted, the sweet strawberry made him quietly moan into your mouth. he pulled your only his lap and left feverish, hectic kisses as he left sloppy, open mouthed kisses on your lips you tried to match his pace and kissed back harder. he's so him. you feel your pulse hammering in your body as he whispered praises to you.
"you're so perfect angel. should've done this ages ago." you feel his heartbeat as your chest is pressed against his and he's so much more desperate now. he rutted his hips into yours as he held your thighs down so that you had no room to squirm or wiggle out from his hold. you gasped as he brought his hips to meet yours with the added barrier of both your clothes. "jesus christ—" his lips met your neck and his pearly white teeth nipped at the flesh of your neck and he left marks that would resemble the purple hues of a painting that belonged in a museum and he wouldn't stop until you were his beautiful piece of art. "you're so needy doll, you want me just as bad as i want you." he chides against the crook of your neck and moaned as you rocked your hips against him working in tandem with his feverish ruts into your clothed cunt. you could feel each movement he made and your body ran hot with each passing minute. yours hand found itself in his beautiful head of hair and you pulled at his espresso locks with every single move he made.
he keeps your skin between his teeth and lips. jason is so desperate to leave his mark on you so that in the morning you won't be able to hide any reminder of him. you feel the ache between your thighs climb to your abdomen as he continues, his lips are stuck to your skin as he grunts with each whimper and moan that leaves your pretty, swollen lips. jason's so obsessed with each sound that leaves your beautiful mouth, they sound like a saccharine melody he can't get out of his mind. "i love all your pretty noises. gotta record 'em so that when i'm missin' you. i'll have something to listen to." he whispered against the shell of your ear and nipped at your ear.
you struggled to get the words out, the coil in your abdomen wound tight as he praised you. "heard you," you gasp as the words as stuck in your throat and he found that sweet spot that made you eyes roll as he took control of your already sporadic movements. "that night when i was with roy— we both did. i know you heard me too, sounded so desperate like you wanted us—me." you corrected your mistake but jason didn't exactly disagree with you. he continued to spur you on, he ignored how careless he was being and was only focused on getting you off.
jason didn't respond, he heard each word you said as they found their place in his mind, always in his memories. he wouldn't lie to himself and fight the fact that he thought about that night often, he laid in bed at night and imagined that he was the one that made you feel that good. he got his lick back though. "probably so close f'me doll. no one else should make you feel this good."
he hummed against your skin, the heat was radiating off of you and he felt the same, his skin was slick with sweat and he was so close. you only nodded and he could feel whatever resolve he had left leaving his body. "do it. cum f'me angel." you felt it come down on you, the fiery hot feeling leaving you to catch your breath as your chest heaved with each move jason made underneath you. you bit down on the flesh of jason's shoulder underneath his shirt to subdue your cries and he moaned lowly as a result. he followed soon after and released in his boxers not embarrassed in the slightest.
"come over tomorrow morning." he nearly demanded, chest unstable as his normally perfectly imperfect hair was a little wet with sweat but he still looked incredible.
"we have classes."
"skip 'em."

How to follow a Mediterranean Greek diet
The Mediterranean diet naturally expands throughout the coastal countries of South Europe, North Africa and the Middle East but there are some small differences between their cuisines. So here I am writing specifically about the Greek version of the Mediterranean diet, known for its delicious, natural flavours and its significant health benefits.
Eat daily:
Olive oil: the pillar, the liquid green gold of the Mediterranean Greek diet. Olive oil should be used ideally exclusively for all purposes. It's dressing salads, it's used in cooking and in fact it's traditionally what is used in frying too. Replace all types of oils, butter and margarine with olive oil even when making pastries. The only problem here is that outside of the Mediterranean basin olive oil can be pricey, however that's the foundation the diet is based on. If you are interested in following the traditional Greek diet for taste or health purposes, it is good to really incorporate olive oil in your daily cooking. If it’s not possible to afford buying olive oil all the time (although you could balance it out by not buying other oils and butter), a non-Greek-typical but equivalent alternative could be avocado oil. However, I doubt avocado oil or any other oil can remotely compare to olive oil in health properties, taste or in any other positive quality 🫒
Vinegar: Just like olive oil, vinegar is a very important ingredient and is also used in natural remedies However, it can hurt a sensitive GI tract if consumed in large portions. A little bit of it added to meals frequently is very healthy. Apple cider vinegar is also very loved and used in salads often 🍇
Vegetables: no portion can be too much (wild greens, garlic, onions, cauliflowers, cucumbers, eggplants, beets, peppers, spinach, artichokes, zucchini, peas, lettuce, the list never ends). Tomatoes and broccoli are recent additions to the Greek diet however they were integrated perfectly to the Greek cuisine. In general, all vegetables can be enjoyed freely with some moderation in the potatoes, especially when fried 🥗
Fruits: grapes, berries, apples, melons, cherries, figs, prunes, sour cherries, peaches, pomegranates are the most historically loved fruits in the Greek diet. Since the middle ages citruses like the orange, the lemon and the mandarin are more and more loved. Greeks nowadays use lemon almost more than vinegar and both have become integral components of the Greek diet. Obviously, tropical fruits like, say, banana, mango, grapefruit are not present in the traditional Greek diet, however all fruits are good fruits and you can enjoy them freely 🍎
Legumes. Eat freely to the tolerance of your body. Legumes can be too heavy for some GI tracts. Legumes are a great source of protein and fibre. Choose brown lentils, white beans, fava beans, chickpeas, giant beans and black eyed peas the most 🫘
Nuts, seeds: almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, peanuts etc. Eat as much as your body can take, because everybody is different 🥜
Mushrooms: mushroom it up! A great healthy way to have them is grilled with herbs and plain or apple cider vinegar dressing 🍄🟫
Whole grains: this is the traditional way to eat grains. Brown bread, oats, whole wheat pasta 🌾
Fish and seafood: find and eat them fresh. Instead of buying them deep frozen from the big markets, find local fish stores if your place is coastal and has them. Eat both large but especially small and medium sized fish. Some fish like salmon and tuna should ideally not be consumed daily due to their high levels of mercury and fats 🐟🎣🍤
Herbs and spices. Feel free to use as much as you want however if you are interested also in the flavours of the Greek diet besides the health benefits, a tip is that Greek dishes do not contain extremely hot spices 🌿
Water: A lot of water daily and, mind you, plain clear mineral water. No flavoured water, definitely not sparkling water and ideally no other liquids in place of the water. I mean, sure you can have liquids but you should ALSO have plain water 💧
Eat a few times per week:
Poultry: Poultry and lean meats entered the Greek cuisine mostly after the Middle Ages however they are nowadays enjoyed as part of the Greek Mediterranean diet because they are tasty and healthier than other types of meat. Chicken has become especially popular in the Greek cuisine. Other birds are the pheasant, the quail, the turkey and more sparsely the duck 🍗
Eggs: eggs are healthy and should be consumed a few times per week but not daily because they can cause a rise in cholesterol levels 🥚
Dairy: Greeks LOVE dairy products, especially the various types of cheese, however they are often irritating to the GI tract and they are linked with rises in the level of inflammation in the body. This is why you should ideally limit them to a few times per week. One exception is the yoghurt, which is fermented and can be perhaps consumed more frequently due to its beneficial properties. Important note: if you want to follow the Greek diet, you should ideally opt for milk and other dairy products from goats and sheep! Cow milk is not traditionally used in the Greek cuisine often and sheep and goat milk are significantly healthier and more nutritious. The only drawback is the stronger smell, however if you can get past that, it is strongly advised to switch to those instead of cow milk. Another note: what is known as “Greek yoghurt” in western countries is not in fact a true Greek yoghurt. What you call Greek yoghurt is to us simply a strained yoghurt, a yoghurt from which the whey has been removed. Sometimes in western markets (and in Greek “modern” dessert yoghurt products) butterfat and powdermilk is added to them and they are mostly made of cow’s milk. Again, a traditional Greek yoghurt is made of sheep, goat milk or a mix of both and is unstrained. It also has a trademark thickened skin on its top (dunno if this is the actual term lol) which is in fact the part of the yoghurt that contains the most nutrients and personally it’s the tastiest part of the yoghurt but apparently it is not for everyone. As an example, a study showed that an unstrained sheep yoghurt has more protein, more omega-3 fatty acids and minerals yet fewer calories and fats than a strained cow yoghurt 🍦🧀
Wine: in small portions, like a small glass up to a few times per week and always in combination with your meal. You don’t drink it to get hammered, you drink it for the health benefits it has in very moderate quantities and for the reasonable mild euphoria it causes before it becomes harmful. The GI tract is linked to the brain and is detrimentally influenced by negative emotions. This is why it is important to try to be in a good mood, relaxed and peaceful when you sit down to eat. A sip of wine now and then can be good for that 🍷
Eat once per week or ideally less:
Red meat like pork or beef. In fact, beef should be the one most avoided not only because it is indeed the rarest of the common meats used in traditional Greek cuisine but also because you can’t separate the fat from the meat as easily as with pork. To follow the Greek style in a healthy way opt for goat, then lamb or pork and make beef your most occasional meat dish 🥩
Processed meats should be eaten rarely. If you are in a mood for it though, opt for Greek style sausages with herbs in or bacon at most. Cured meats like ham are better to be avoided but turkey is the healthiest of them. They are not a part of a traditional Greek cuisine though.
Refined grains can be enjoyed weekly but should not replace whole grains
Pastries. What’s new, pastries are not ideal for health. However, if you are yearning for something sweet, if you want to keep it healthy as much as possible in the “Greek way”, opt for desserts made of healthy ingredients like honey, nuts, olive oil and fruits. Chocolate came to Greece in the 19th century, however it has become an integral part of confectionery since then. Opt ideally for dark chocolate, combined with nuts or fruits such as oranges and prunes. Greeks especially love chocolate combined with nuts.
Soft and sugary drinks. Avoid them overall, especially the processed products in the markets. If you need a sweet drink really bad, you can keep it traditional by making your own sweet lemonade, sour cherry, pomegranate etc drink at home. You could also enjoy small quantities of lemon or mastic liquors which are good for digestion.
BONUS TIPS & PHILOSOPHY:
Try to find mastic if it’s available where you live. The mastic is a resin produced from the mastic tree, a species endemic to the Greek island of Chios and a small part of the opposite coast of Turkey. It has numerous beneficial properties, especially for digestion and gut health, and it combines them with a very pleasant fresh and sweet flavour. You can find it in gums that boost digestion, in drinks, in pastries and even in non-edible products like toothpastes. Learn about it and give it a try, no matter if you are interested in following Greek diet or not.
Greek cuisine does not go berserk on as many ingredients as possible (however Greeks typically add more ingredients than, say, Italians and perhaps fewer than the Middle Easterners). Don’t worry about adding as many foods and nutrients in one single dish. The most important thing in Greek cuisine philosophy is to pick the finest ingredients. Avoid deep frozen or precooked and processed ingredients. Pick whole fruits and vegetables from your local small grocery store. For example, don’t buy a watermelon slice in a zelatin bag from the supermarket. Take the whole freaking watermelon home. You heard me right. It’s heavy, yes, but you would be surprised how much tastier and healthier it is this way. Go to the butcher for meat. Go to the specific cheese shop for cheese. Go to the fisherman for fish and seafood. Go to the pastry shop and get a nice dessert instead of buying candies from the market.
Remember that in moderation you can eat most of the foods you desire, especially if they are not processed foods. There is nothing about the Greek diet that is restrictive in terms of its philosophy - historically the intake of various foods was regulated only based on availability and price. There are no foods you should limit due to any perception of them being “bad” and you should never feel guilty the moment you are actually having the food. Just work slowly and progressively by building gradual appreciation for healthy foods and prize less nutritious foods as occasional taste bud rewards.
As said above, a good mood is crucial when you sit down to eat. In the history of the Greek society this translated into eating with friends and / or family, maybe with the occasional sip of wine, ideally in a pleasant environment and always taking your time with your food. If some of these are less feasible than others, try alternatively to improve the setting in which you eat, to eat in an environment that calms you down. Schedule your meal so that you won’t eat in anxiety or hurry, if this is possible. Think of pleasant memories and feel grateful for your food. Cheers! Or, you know, εις υγείαν!

𝙔𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 - 𝘍𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴
ɢᴏᴊᴏ ꜱᴀᴛᴏʀᴜ x ʀᴇᴀᴅᴇʀ
A/N: submission request from my dearest darling @soraya-daydreams, coming in clutch with the cute ideas.
CW: like one suggestive sentence, almost crack, hints that pixie loves her fashion
“Y/N!” A scream (clearly Nobara) echoed down the corridor of the school as you organised some books in the Jujutsu High library.
“Y/N!” Yuuji, this time.
“Mom!” Unless Akio had miraculously learned how to speak at 6 months old then that was Megumi.
Three figures skidded around the corner, through the library door and landed in a heap of limbs and black, brown and pink hair. You just raised your eyebrows.
“I’ve heard walking slowly causes less injuries, but hey, what do I know?” You smirk, as the kids untangle themselves.
Nobara is clutching a bundle of fabric in her hands, creamy white and brown - clearly something stained.
“Y/N, this is a DEFCON level one emergency - we screwed up like, majorly.” Nobara uttered, hand on her hip.
“You screwed up majorly, Itadori and I were just sitting there.” Megumi pointed out.
“But ‘Gumi! We were witnesses, that makes us like - accessories to murder!” Yuuji scrambles.
Your heart skipped hearing Yuuji call your son ‘Gumi’, something he only let you and Satoru and Tsumiki call him beforehand, you also don’t miss the blush on his pale cheeks - reinforcing your idea that the feelings these two had for each other were not simply platonic.
Wait -
Did Yuuji say murder?!
“Okay, who’s dead? Where’s the body? Have any of you touched anything at the scene? Megumi I need you to -” you immediately went into practical mode and all of those true crime documentaries and podcasts come flooding back.
“Jesus, mom, no - not actual murder. Yuuji is just exaggerating.” Megumi says, eyes rolling.
“I really fuck with the ‘act now, questions later’ vibe though, Y/N. Queen behaviour.” Nobara says, throwing a peace sign with the unoccupied hand.
“We were just having coffee! Well, Megumi and Nobara were having coffee - I was having orange juice.” Yuuji adds.
“Guys. What’s broken or who’s injured?” You say, mom voice appearing.
“Um… so! I was drinking my coffee, and Ijichi left something on the table, because he’s dumb!” Nobara starts frantically explaining.
“No - ah ah, we love Ijichi, this school wouldn’t function without Ijichi. Don’t listen to your Sensei.” You butt in because there will be no Ijichi slander in your presence.
“Sorry, Y/N. Anyway! I was drinking my coffee! The coffee got knocked over and spilled! It spilled onto this!” She says, holding up the ruined white fabric in her arms, as both boys grimaced.
You gasp.
“Oh, fuck.” You whisper.
“That’s what I said!” Yuuji interjects.
“Shit.” You say again, examining the fabric in your hands
“That’s what I said.” Megumi groans.
“Motherfucker.” You toss your head back.
“That’s what I said!” Nobara nods.
“Okay. Let’s fix this. Eh… Megumi! Go to see Ijichi - ask him for washing detergent - he lives in the staff accommodation, so he can get us some. Nobara, I need you to boil the kettle and get some boiling water and cloths, okay? Yuuji, do you have vinegar in the kitchen? Because we need that.” You list off, desperately trying to remember what gets rid of coffee stains.
Megumi nods and leaves, Nobara rushes from the room and Yuuji salutes and darts to the kitchen.
This has to work.
Because the coffee flavoured thing in your hands is your husbands tailored white silk Yves Saint Laurent dress shirt, which he adores.
Which he also bought for ¥250,000.
After a moment the three kids come back with the required equipment and you combine all three and dunk the shirt into the mixture to soak for 15 minutes.
As the timer beeped on your phone, you took out the shirt and quickly realised it was absolutely no better.
You looked at the kids.
Then it all went to shit.
“Princess! Are you being a dork and organising books for fun again? Yaknow if you’re bored you can always come into my office and get on your kn-” The boisterous voice of your love echoes as the man himself rounds the corner and finds the kids and you tussling by the table. In a flash, you all turn to him - wide smiles.
He quirks his eyebrows.
“Princess, I saw you an hour ago and I’m pretty sure that a baby bump doesn’t grow that fast in an hour, and thanks to modern contraception and a 6 month old son I’m guessing you’re not pregnant.” He smirks, knowing you’re hiding something, probably covering for the kids.
Before you can react he’s swooped you over his shoulder as the kids all grab your ankles and you become a tug of war between two warring factions.
Satoru eventually wins by teleporting you both to the other side of the desk and sticking his tongue out at the teenagers and shoving his hands under your sweater and taking out the offending lump.
He studies the fabric for a minute, as four people hold their breath.
That’s when he burst out in hysterical laughter.
“Baby, were you covering for these delinquents?” He asks, hand on your cheek.
“Covering?! No! They were helping me! I spilled the coffee!” You say, stuttering.
“No you didn’t princess, you drink mochas, and this is just coffee.” He says, still laughing and you curse how well he knows you.
“I don’t drink coffee!” Itadori adds.
“You don’t need the fucking caffeine.” Megumi nods.
“Well don’t leave your silk designer shirts on the table -” Nobara starts and they’re all speaking at once.
Satoru just smiles and opens his phone, tapping it a few times and then he spins the phone around, showing it to the kids.
“I just bought 5 more of the same shirt. I don’t give a damn about the shirt, seeing you three running around trying to fix it was a years worth of entertainment for me. Truly - high quality comedy.” He laughs, tossing the shirt into the trash near him.
It’s moments like these the ‘Gojo heir’ in him shines through.
“Say sorry to your mom for worrying her.” He says, winking at them all.
“Sorry, mom.” Megumi shrugs.
“I’m sorry, mom!” Yuuji adds.
“Yeah, sorry mom.” Nobara sulks.
“I DON’T REMEMBER GIVING BIRTH TO ANY OF YOU!”

YAYAYAYAY uquiz time im literally cheering and jumping up n down !!!
MICKEYY THEY’RE TRYING TO KILL US BOTH “they’re scared of the claw marks on the wall, they won’t go in.” im abt to spiral….. OK BUT FUN VILLAIN / SAD VILLAIN we are the duo ever. personally i think the ideal villain is a sad villain who pretends to be a fun villain like the exterior is all fun and games and the interior is a kind of desperation that could crawl out of their throat and devour everything….. etc etc. a villain who hides their sense of emptiness with all the glamour in the world <333 my beloved they are soooo sick & twisted….
BUT OKOKOK TYSM FOR THE UQUIZ i really wasnt kidding when i said this is my love language like this is peak quality time to me aaa what a fun quiz too !!! u got the fun one and i got . This 😭😭😭
IM SOOO OFFENDED U HAVE NO IDEA i dont wanna be edward cullen 💔💔💔 also this is just me but mickey mind reading would be kinda awful wouldnt it…… kinda spooky ……… I’LL TAKE IT DONT GET ME WRONG i just wanted shapeshifting 😭😭 i wanna be a vamp wolf !!
im gonna keep the uquiz train going hehe feel free to take ur time w this though !!! its here whenever u feel like it !!!! the uquiz train always waits for mickey specifically <33 what kind of hero are you ?
this one was soo good i mainly chose it to complete the villain/hero duo yknow but !! i ADORE my result it’s literally sooo Me like i cant explain it mickey. the other results seem so good too!!!
armageddon gay you are a creature of the monde d'après. you do not fear death. you were a climber kid, who wore practical green-ish clothes, loved the concept of talkie-walkies and the sound of a close-by waterfall. you want to drive your local bus into a lake and watch as it sinks, and your damp clothes start heavily sticking to your skin. you like all shapes and sorts of birds, you have a favourite tree, and you want to marry at least three of your friends. either you know how to whistle with a blade of grass, or you always dreamed to. in the great scheme of life, you are mostly prepared for the end of the world, and for love. you're weirdly depressed and detached, but you have a lot of inner strength, that's mainly located in your idealism. you will make it to the other side of your life. now fly, little apocalypse butterfly <3
MICKEYYYY i come bearing a uquiz >:33 what kind of villain are you?? I LOVEDDD THIS ONE SM i hope u’ll enjoy it!! it was sm fun & so wellwritten aaaaa i love villains …..
this was my result btw !! i got so happy bc i adoreee villains like this sm <333 kennycoded !!!! im so curious to see which one u get hehe
villain who does it for fun there's something about the illegality of it all that makes it so tempting. an itch you can't scratch, a high you can't reach, the chase, the challenge, the hero. you could kill them, but you don't, where's the fun in that? who would come after that? so you ensnare a hero that'll keep coming, keep playing the game, until it becomes to much for the both of you. you'll bend them, and you'll break.
HELLO ARI MY SWEETEST ANGEL<33333
i love villains who do it for fun i have hearts in my eyes <333 "you'll bend them, and you'll break" ohhhhhhhhhhh yeah this hits the spot doesn't it this result makes such good fic material holy fuck the tension between the hero and the villain?? u could kill them but you don't where's the fun in that MMMMMMMMMMM i love it so much
i think i have done this quiz but bc i vaguegly remember getting the same result as you did buT nevertheless i obviously took it again and got another devastating soul read thanks for that 😐(i loved it) i actually did it twice bc there were a few other options i really wanted to pick and i... still got the same result it's the loser in me fr
and since i can't just give u nothing back.... who do you take me for smhh here is another silly little quiz what special ability will you get when youre vampired? heheheh i got relentless sexual charisma 😎
#THANK U FOR THE TEA IM COZYING UP IN THE BLANKET FORT W UR CAT IN MY LAP <333333#i love any and all cats mickey im 100% sure that i’d adore him pls kiss his little head for me 🥺🥺 squeeze his lil paws 🥺🥺🥺#i loveee dramatic cats they r my fave ever!! one day ill get myself a dramatic fluffy white cat and name him you-know-what#ALSO can i ask …. what flavour of cat do u have#is he orange flavoured or black w white spots etc etc ……#i hope u have a lovely day today mickey !! rest up & take care of urself <3333#mickey !! ✩

Vestiges Of You.
Aventurine x fem! reader; not proofread, this was supposed to be a 300 words drabble lmao?? wordcount; 804.
everything i feel returns to you somehow, consuming me to the core, i'll be gone by midnight; goodbye.
There is a bit of you at the beach.
Aventurine gazes whilst the sun gradually inches down, orange in hue, it mildly kisses the horizon; two souls intertwined. Standing on top of a building in the city, a March spring breeze wafts past him, and the smell of oleanders trails it.
The scene is familiar, to a distant one on the beach. The solitude, the oleanders you used to grow, the sun cozily inching down your wall, the ripples of the waves against the shore, the medley accompanying it, as you pluck the strings with a plectrum, pressing strings against frets with your opposite hand simultaneously.
Your black cat leaps on his lap, it purrs against his stomach, and he strokes it.
‘remember when we first met?’ you pause. ‘we had plenty to discuss. Now, only silence remains…’
‘you know,’ you continue. ‘I guess, the moral of time, is that… you never became jaded by my presence; our meaningless conversations, or this comfortable silence.’
Aventurine does not reply. He merely grabs your hand, and squeezes it reassuringly, pulls it towards his lips as he plants a kiss.
There is a bit of you in April.
Your window flung open, the breeze emerging in carries a scent of peach, a warm sun beams at your back, at your oil paint-stained white shirt. The neighbourhood is extremely quiet, everyone’s inside their home, with fans nudging the cool air at their faces.
‘don’t you feel like going back inside yet? It’s hot,’ Aventurine starts. He anticipates a response from an instance, but you appeared rather too resolute on your painting—it was of an orchard of apricot trees, the leaves and branches shimmering with heat-haze.
‘I don’t think so, I’ll finish this one first,’ you mutter, cautiously painting a cloud. ‘I love April. In it, my ideas are always inventive, sharp, and tender. Do you get it?’
Aventurine hums as he nods. His gaze wanders off toward the market nearby—a mother with brown sunglasses on exits with her young child, who’s wailing. ‘Icecream?’
‘Yeah, vanilla flavour please.’
There is a bit of you in black polished heels.
‘I’ve always loved the sound of heels against the flooring,’ you mutter, bending over as you tie the ankle straps of the heels—black, polished leather; a gift from Aventurine. When you’re done, you tap continually on the floor, and it sounds akin to an exaggerated film soundtrack. ‘it sounds like learning to walk away, from what was never mine to ever have…’
Aventurine raises a brow, ‘did you have a tough past?’
‘Partially, though what am I if not a little hardship? Which reminds me, you never told me much about your past…?’
He offers a half-hearted smile, as he averts his gaze. ‘…The heels suit you, are you sure they are your size?’ ( I apologize; I don’t want to bring it up, I don’t want you to pity me. )
‘Yeah…’ you half-heartedly mutter, removing the heels. ( do you not trust me? )
There is a bit of you in his muddy teacup.
‘Regrets,’ you mumble over the counter. Aventurine stares as you fiddle with your teaspoon—like lifting the world’s edge, like unravelling its threads, apathetically, perfunctorily. His teacup simply lies before him, long cold, and muddy-looking. ‘I have many… so do you.’
A train passes over the railings nearby, quick against the steel, unlike your stagnant manoeuvres, followed by a mysterious silence of what hangs in the atmosphere, and remains unspoken. ‘are you not exhausted of lying?’
‘I never lied to you about a single thing,’ he replies.
‘But you don’t trust me, with anything, at all— regardless of who is in your life, you still seem to have the same disgusting thoughts about yourself; it never stops, it never goes away. I wish I could…’ You place the teaspoon down, the tone of your voice gradually creaking. ‘Take away your blues. I have.. many selfless wishes for you. I wish you would take care of yourself, I wish you would cherish every instant of this ephemeral lifetime, I wish you would relinquish the past; that was then, this is now. Yet you’ve always been a bitter man, and it makes me bitter, too. I hope you will understand, that is all I have to say…’
Reality begins to melt away, in the darkness, akin to a candle’s wax, in the heat of a flame. Everything feels as if it occurred a long time ago, in a far-off world, out of reach. Or, is it occurring in the future, in an alternative far-off world?
( have you seen my lover? The one that owned the beach, April’s beauty, the black leather heels I purchased, my muddy teacup, my dreams, my heart? )
There is a bit of you in all he is.

OMORI and colour- an analysis
hey, so this is a post I’ve been wanting to make for a while and never got round to doing, but here I am.
Something I noticed in OMORI and have continued to notice throughout the game is the symbolism between colours and characters, and what they say about their relationships or their mannerisms, because there’s actually a LOT there, more than I expected.
keep in mind this is a pretty basic analysis and I’m sure there’s much more to be discovered, but I haven’t fully learned everything there is to know about colour theory and so this isn’t really my field of knowledge, I just wanted to share my findings.
also, spoilers ahead, so beware!
Filling in the wheel
This is a basic colour wheel, and the model I will be referring to throughout this analysis.
in OMORI, and even in external items outside of the game like merchandise each of the main cast are associated with a specific colour.
for example, SUNNY is associated commonly with yellow throughout the game. Here’s a small chart I made to keep track of my references…
I’m sure there’s more but here’s what I’ve got.
so now we know where sunny stands on the colour wheel, in the yellow region.
the rest of the cast can be easily identified on the wheel- KEL clearly falls into orange, HERO clearly falls into blue, MARI clearly falls into purple, BASIL clearly falls into green and AUBREY clearly falls into pink.
But wait, that’s not the complete wheel.
you’ll notice AUBREY’s positioning differs from the rest of the group, and that’s because I’ve specifically put HEADSPACE AUBREY in that section. Where REAL WORLD AUBREY actually falls is on the red segment of the wheel as that colour is better associated with her emotional state and also slots her better into place on the wheel.
So that means the rest of these midtones represent the rest of the HEADSPACE counterparts, right?
You’ll notice one more blank space, but let’s put that one aside for now. We’ll fill it in later. For now let’s begin to focus on the relationships between these segments on the wheel.
Complementary colours
Complementary colours are defined as “pairs of colours which, when combined or mixed, cancel each other out (lose hue) by producing a grayscale color like white or black. When placed next to each other, they create the strongest contrast for those two colors. Complementary colours may also be called "opposite colours"”.
in other words, these colours complement each other, and are paired together as they are the most striking next to one another. They are opposites, but belong together.
so, who do we have complementing on our OMORI wheel?
Now, this is quite complicated to look at but I’m going to use what I think is probably the most important relationship in the game and use it as an example.
MARI is commonly associated with purple throughout the game, so much so that it’s constantly in our faces. The main colour for SUNNY’s headspace where he escapes the tragedy of what happened to her is purple, AUBREY laments about a lost promise of dying their hair purple and pink together, MARI gets a grape flavoured (purple) popsicle in one of the photos in BASIL’s album, etc. she’s very clearly shown to be “purple”symbolically throughout the game, no question there.
and as for SUNNY, as we’ve gone over earlier, he is represented by yellow.
so when we reference our colour wheel once having placed these two in their respective spots, what do we see?
MARI and SUNNY complement one another.
And we see this consistently for other key or contrasting relationships through the game. HERO and KEL complement both in the REAL WORLD and HEADSPACE, and so do AUBREY AND BASIL.
They are shown to complement each other, when placed with their associated colours on the wheel.
so, what about STRANGER? Who does he complement with? After all the segment opposing him is empty.
I feel as though there’s only one answer which makes sense for the game.
OMORI complements STRANGER and STRANGER complements OMORI.
but, for OMORI, this seems out of character. The character itself is typically associated with black to represent the repression of the truth and also the darkness behind his actions to keep SUNNY guarded from the truth, so this warm colour feels out of place.
but looking deeper into the symbolism, I disagree. Orange itself represents liveliness, optimism, and enthusiasm, which I think represents HEADSPACE. However red, while associated with anger for AUBREY, is more commonly associated with danger and most importantly sacrifice.
As well as this, this specific hue shows to carry more of a red pigment than an orange.
so I believe this can represent this distracting and overwhelming joy of HEADSPACE whilst having great sinister undertones just Millimeters beneath the surface, something very fitting for OMORI as he’s portrayed in the game. (Side note: I don’t think OMORI is evil, by the way. I’m talking about his actions and portrayal in contrast to HEADSPACE, nor his intentions. I view OMORI more as a robotic kind of character than anything but that’s an analysis for another day.)
so, in conclusion, there’s a lot to be told from this wheel. Here’s a finished polished version for anyone who wants to use it, including some extra notes I didn’t discuss here. If there is anything at all you want me to elaborate on or go more in depth into, or just neglected to discuss at all, please let me know! Thank you for reading!
(PS also open for criticism on the wheel- especially if you know more about colour theory than me! I don’t go into much detail about what each colour association represents within the characters themselves here so that may be for another post)

FFXIV Write #02 - Horizon
FFXIV Write 2024 Master Post
Prompt #2 - Horizon
Briar looked at the plate before him, struggling to keep the uncertainty off his face. Baatu was beaming at him, the tip of his tail flicking back and forth gently. What was on the plate was quite pretty and Briar wouldn't deny that, but he was more than a touch puzzled by what he was being offered.
The rice was familiar, although it was short white grains when he was more used to brown or wild rice. He was fairly certain that the slices of meat were fish, although the colour of one hinted at eel. However, one pinkish meat was unrecognizable to the half-Elezen. He wasn't sure what to make of the dark green covering some of the food had wrapped around it. Briar watched as a humming Baatu set down several little bowls in front of him that seemed to hold sauces: two thin brown sauces, one of a green paste, and the last was creamy and orange. It was artistic and lovely against the black plates, but Briar could only stare with puzzled anxiety.
Biting his lip, he looked up at the tall half-Elezen, half-Xaela and nervously smiled. "I, ah, um… W-what is it, Baatu?"
"Sushi!" Baatu said, booming voice echoing a bit in Briar's ears. "I just made you some simple ones since I didn't think you had it before. Still, you've liked to try things and broaden your horizons so…" He took a moment to point to each one. "This is nigiri with salmon and prawn. This is tuna sashimi. And maki rolls with eel, bream, and more salmon!"
Briar was relieved he'd been correct about the eel and knew what salmon was. He hadn't had prawn before and frowned a bit. "What is prawn?"
"Um, sort of like a shrimp…or a crayfish."
Briar nodded and gestured to the small bowls. "And these?"
"Dipping sauces! It's traditional to dip sushi into sauces, although you don't have to. Soy sauce, ponzu sauce, wasabi and that's spicy mayo." Baatu gave a deep, bone-rumbling laugh. "Spicy mayo is a bit more western, but popular in Kugane."
"Oh," Briar said again, relaxing a bit. While it was different, at least he had an idea of what to expect and could draw at least parallels to foods he was used to. "Thank you, Baatu. I do like to try new things."
"Here." Baatu passed him what Briar knew to be training chopsticks. Briar had been fascinated the first time he'd seen the big man use a pair and Baatu had indulged him. Still, between the scars on Briar's hands and not being used to them, he was a little clumsy still. So he was happy to use the training ones if only so as not to waste food.
Murmuring a thanks, Briar accepted them and eyed the plate, trying to pick which one was the 'safest'. He decided on the tuna sashimi, popping the bite-sized piece in his mouth. The texture of it, being uncooked, was a little odd but the flavour was mild.
Baatu chuckled. "Try some with one of the sauces. It's a bit plain without."
Briar nodded, picking up a salmon nigiri, he considered the sauces and dipped sushi into the green one. The one Baatu called wasabi.
"Oh! Briar, wait, that's--" Baatu made a little face as he warned the redhead too late. He watched with a hint of worry as Briar chewed.
"Hmm, that's--" Briar froze, eyes widen and cheeks flushing. He gave a muffled squeak and looked around, dropping the chopsticks in surprise.
"Here, here!" Baatu said, trying not to laugh as he slid the poor Shroudborn a glass of water. He bit his lip to keep from chuckling as Briar drained most of it. "That's wasabi, Briar," he repeated. "It's rather spicy so a little might be best."
Briar wheezed as he set down the nearly empty glass, blinking and reaching for a napkin to wipe his face, half-sweat and half-dripped water. Not to mention he was blushing rather hard. "I…noticed."
Baatu gave a sympathetic noise, still swallowing a chuckle. "Maybe try the ponzu sauce next? It's a little tangy and sweet and a bit salty, but not spicy."
Briar swallowed and took a deep breath. "That…might be better," he managed, bravely reaching for his chopsticks to take another sushi from the plate. This time most definitely with ponzu sauce.
Baatu belongs to @shadesofblades!

saw you talking about tea the other day and now i'm intrigued 👀 any flavors you're particularly fond of? asking for a friend also. please do ramble about it bc it's delightful :D
Jay! Hi! Fellow tea lover?
Hm… I love lots of teas, but really I prefer simple teas to anything super decadent or elaborate. I don’t ever add anything to my teas unless I’m sick (then I’ll add a bit of honey).
My go-to is just a simple green or peppermint tea, though I’m also a huge fan of spiced chai and earl grey. I adore jasmine tea - jasmine is probably my favourite, but it has to be a good jasmine, so I don’t have it all the time (again, it gets expensive). I always have some green or peppermint tea on hand though - a quality cup is always nice but I don’t as much mind if these are the cheaper kind.
I’m not a huge fruit tea person, though I did have a peach white tea once - that one was lovely cold - and of course a good lemon ginger is always nice. If I’m having bubble tea though, I always go for a mango or lychee green tea if they have it!
I have to say that I can’t remember what pu’erh tea was like - I know it was interesting and I liked it, but I’d need to try it again I think to recall it properly. I haven’t found a rooibos tea I’ve been particularly crazy about, but it’s nice too, just not what I’d gravitate towards.
If you want a sweet or dessert type tea, then any oolong is great, but I think I’m spoiled for that wuyi oolong now hahaha. I’ve had a vanilla black tea - it’s really good. I’d highly recommend that one. I also have this sweet apple-cinnamon tea with nuts. I don’t have it super often, as I’m not a fan of sugary teas but this one is a nice dessert on its own. It’s very nutty which makes it pretty unique.
When I’m sick, I’ve had a couple good teas. One I have for colds is a eucalyptus-mint. I recommend having this one only when you are very congested because boy is it strong. Tastes amazing though. Also my mom had several Korean friends when I was little, so I have fond memories of her making yujacha at their urging when I wasn’t feeling well as a young kid, and boricha for us to put in the fridge and drink cold. I love both.
I don’t usually have chamomile at home, but this is largely because on days when I’m really incredibly stressed (like, shaking with anxiety, actively spiralling, kind of stressed), I like to go for a walk in the evening and pick up a chamomile from a nearby café to take back with me. It’s an indulgence that way.
Other cool teas I have tried:
Butterfly pea flower tea: More of a novelty than anything but this tea is bright blue and changes to red when you add citric acid. It’s a natural pH indicator!
Lavender black tea: Incredibly good. This was another gift from my mom a few years back. Very nice in the evening.
Mushroom tea: These tend to be incredibly overpriced due to purported health benefits so I’ve only ever had samples but honestly? The ones I’ve had are very nice, a smooth, rich flavour. Not convinced they’re worth that price though.
Dandelion tea: People say this can be used as a coffee substitute. I’m not entirely sure I agree with that but it does have a dark roasted flavour that is similar to black coffee. It’s a little sweet though. I like this one a lot, but I only have this with food because if I don’t have anything in my stomach it makes me cramp a bit (as I found out the hard way) :/
Matcha green tea with roasted rice: Okay a friend of mine got me some of this as a gift when she went back to visit family for a bit and. Um. This tea is so incredibly good. We had some together and it was fantastic. I’ve been saving it and only having it at times I know I can really savour it because I want it to last. If you can find some good quality stuff I highly recommend it.
Aaaand sometimes, admittedly, I will enjoy an orange pekoe. It’s nice on occasion. I make it pretty strong hehe
I hope this was fun for you your friend! 😆
What are your favourite teas, Jay?
#I’ll open this up too to anyone who’d like to tell me their favourite teas#Or recommend me some!! I’m always up for trying new tea!#storyrambles#thanks for the ask!#tea time

obviously you can’t cook don’t know what a blog is etc etc. but in a universe where you did would you know of any recipes your alternate self posted which used leftovers or scraps? or alternatively making really good stock? many thanks
hm. if I ever cooked I think I would say something like—take
the peels, ends, and greens (if you haven't used them for anything else) of carrots
the ends, leaves, and outer stringy bits (if you're one of those people who peel them) of celery
tomato skins
mushroom stems
peels and trimmings of onions
peels and ends of garlic
skins and trimmings of ginger
the whites of green onions
stems of fresh, tender herbs (parsley and cilantro)
stems of woody herbs (thyme, rosemary), in moderation
trimmings from leeks, turnips, and fennel, in moderation
And simmer in enough water to cover for about an hour, with herbs or whole spices if you'd like (I generally include bay leaves, black or white peppercorns, cumin seeds, and coriander seeds), then strain. You can keep scraps from preparing meals over the course of a few days or weeks and freeze them in a bag or other container until ready to make stock; make sure each bag has a good proportion of different vegetables. Frozen scraps will only take 15-20 minutes of simmering to make stock.
Make sure that you scrub any vegetables whose peels you will be using for stock thoroughly. Scraps can be used for stock if they are wilted, but not if they are rotten.
Various places online will give you different ideas of what to include in stock and what not to bother including (there's a pretty comprehensive list here); as you do this over time you will no doubt have your own opinions about inclusions and ratios. Do not include cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower) as they will make the stock unpalatably bitter. You may chuse to divide scraps in terms of what meal you plan to make with the stock (e.g. leave ginger, lemongrass, galangal peels &c. for an east Asian meal rather than, like, an Italian one).
Other things that can be done with "scraps":
The whites of green onions can be simmered alongside kombu/dashima when making Japanese dashi or Korean yuksu. Also reconstitute dried shiitake mushrooms in this stock to get flavourful mushroom water in the stock + reconstituted mushrooms that you can slice, boil, fry, &c.
The whites of green onions can also be used to make shiraga negi, a Japanese garnish
Thai recipes often involve leaving the peels on garlic when chopping or pulverising it. I'm not sure how the skins on Thai garlic compare to other varieties so your mileage may vary.
Garlic and onion peels can be dried in a dehydrator or an oven on low (~200F) and then ground to add savor to bread, soups, rice &c. Basically use it like garlic powder
Cauliflower and broccoli stalks can be peeled, sliced and roasted (along with the leaves) at around 400F (200C) for 20 minutes or so until browned and crispy with olive oil, salt, and spices of your chusing, then dipped in ranch or garlic sauce (for a quick vegan ranch I mix vegan mayonnaise + grated garlic + a squeeze of lemon + pinch of salt).
Kale stems can be pickled, or sliced thin, sauteed, and added to stir-fries and soups.
The inner core of cabbages (which some recipes call for you to remove) can also be minced and added to soups.
Orange, lemon, and grapefruit peels can be used to make mixed peel; apple peels and cores can be used to make apple jelly. These recipes aren't really something-for-nothing, though, as they do use a lot of sugar.
Also orange peel tea. Sometimes when making mixed peel I drain the water after five minutes of simmering and drink it as tea, then replace the water and continue simmering as the recipe calls for.
Some Medditerranean cake recipes involve (perhaps soaking and then) blending an entire orange, peel and all--look up "whole orange cake."
When not making mixed peel, I (remove the pith from and then) dry orange and lemon peels to grind into zest and store it to use as needed. A friend of mine saves the pith, too, and dries and grinds it and uses it to replace some of the flour when baking.
South Indian & Latin American recipes sometimes feature the peels of bananas or plantains—look for banana peel curry/thoran.
Various recipes can be found for banana peel pulled pork and banana peel bacon; banana peel cake; banana peel tea.
Starch left from rinsing rice can be used to thicken soups and stews (this is common in Korean recipes).
The water left from cooking dried beans can be used in soups and stews, or in cooking future batches of beans.
Make sure that anything you're eating or boiling has been washed well.
I— I'm. uh. huh. that was weird, I don't know what came over me...

the KHR cats edition entries inspired by @bonesetblues‘ KHR/BNHA crossover fic “curiosity kills the cat (but satisfaction brings it back)” continue. It's the Arcobaleno this time (finally)! Reborn Black medium hair thing. Adult Reborn's drawn with such ludicrously long gangly limbs that we went with some oriental breedtype legs. In the end we couldn't decide between yellow eyes and near-black (which is technically biologically possible but there's only one recorded instance that I know of and they didn't reach adulthood) so both are here. By far he was the most difficult to work out a pose for, he did NOT want to cooperate. Also, curly ear hairs because his curly sideburns needed to be included somehow. I was thinking at the start, either something very small so it'd seem more whacky when he ended up somewhere he shouldn't be, or something quite large, so I also tried throwing a little hint of maine coon flavour in there, but it's not very evident at the end of it I don't think. The fic author's thought for Reborn was Savannah Cat, but I looked at that and went, nah, for reasons explained later on.
Fon Another black medium hair, with some rusting. He seems the sort to spend plenty enough time outdoors during the day for it. I didn't realise before this that Fon has brown eyes, actually. Oriental cat breedtype.
Colonnello Ough the pose, easy, very cooperative. The colour?? not so much. KHR does have characters with realistic blonde hair, but Colonnello is not one of them He has Anime Blond, aka, Yellow. So, Shorthair Black Golden with high ticking, and low-medium white spotting.
Lal Mirch And yet another solid black. Longhair. Her pose was also a tricky one, we knew the vibe of what we wanted, but the actual doing of it was hard. Trying to do her scar was also hard because there just aren't any very good references for it (especially since the anime basically just. turned it into... a tattoo?). Gave her a bunch of white hairs from little scars and some around the face scar. Darkish orange-copper eyes was about as close as we could get to her anime... pink... ish? reddish? eye colour.
Verde Dark blue classic tabby shorthair with low white spotting and blue-grey eyes (teeeechnically probably not very likely since he's not a Point colouration, but they are Possible and the only way to match Verde's canon grey. Why does he have grey eyes, the one time you get an anime character with anime colour hair and he DOESN'T have matching eyes, honestly). The expression was the hard part here, mostly. Trying to get any balance of smug/pideful and annoyed scientist and intrigued at situation? Hard. How is he meant to do a proper science with paws. He cannot hold a pen to write and keyboards are not designed for paws. He needs to make an invention to facilitate this.
Skull Another difficult one to pose, trying to get the bluster and also the fear. Chocolate shorthair with ghost markings and blue eyes. Open mouths from any angle other than side-on are haaaaaard.
Uni Blue/cream charcoal torbie bengal kitten! And here's the main reason we didn't want to do savannah cat Reborn- Uni is an actual hybrid, although we don't actually know her f-generation (... would you call it that, in humans-and-related-species?) from Sepira, but we can guess she was within 10 or so generations. Very low cream, but it is there. Bonuses: Reborn (yellow eye version), Verde (anime colour version), Skull (anime colour version) (and Viper/Mammon is not here becasue they're with the Varia)

would you perhaps have nobleflower headcanons you could share with the world?
omg i have to think hard and use all my brain juices:
(some of these are for different AUs)
cissa's favourite colour is lilac, and alice's is yellow or orange.
cissa is taller than alice.
they're both on the quidditch team and are rivals.
narcissa doesn't paint her nails but takes care of them (idk? im not a nail person? but she files them and shit) and alice is so fucking bad at nails but she tries to paint them bright colours.
alice wears cute lil clips in her hair and cissa thinks its adorbs. also works the other way around :))
alice is genuinely narcissa's favourite person in the world - after andy left yk
ummm narcissa's favourite ice cream flavour is strawberry/something fruity or some really strange, niche thing, and alice's is chocolate.
alice enjoys wearing funky socks with different patterns - narcissa just wears white socks probably, the cute ones with the designs and frills
narcissa always wishes she fit in with her family, and alice loves how different she is appearance-wise to the blacks
narcissa's favourite subject would be something like chemistry, and alice's is art/smth creative, or sports.
narcissa wears silver, alice wears gold
narcissa is so fucking awkward with kids when she's younger, but alice is so so good. she gets asked to babysit all the kids at family functions.
there are probably so many more but i've got to seriously think abt this :))
#thank you for the ask elysia!!! <3#sorry it took so long to respond :(#nobleflower#narcissa black#alice fortescue#the marauders#nobleflower headcanons#alice x narcissa#narcissa x alice

Hello! As one Hellenic Polytheist to another, and since you have such a huge knowledge of wine and wine making, I was curious if you have any good wine suggestions that might also be good offerings? Unfortunately, do to medical reasons, I can't drink alcohol but I'd like to find some wines that I could use as offerings to Apollo and Ares. I'm sure they wouldn't fault me for grabbing any wine from the grocer, considering I cant actually drink it to see if it tastes any good, but if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear. Thank you and hope you're having a good day :D
Of course! I actually have many thoughts on this, so I'll provide a quick brief on wine in grocery stores:
Grocery store wine tends to be a nightmare to winemakers. The common person does not know what wines they want to purchase, or good wines to buy, and there's a large state of confusion--it does not help that grocery stores throw wines on a self without worry. I'll see Italian wine next to Spanish with completely different histories and flavour profiles, and the history behind it will not be explained. Especially when a Spanish cooking wine is put next to Prosecco... which is why so many winemakers are putting attention into modern, cute, and pretty labels. People buy labels most often instead of decent wine.
So, grocery store wine shopping!
Personally, I avoid any bottle under 10$. This is due to labour and environmental concerns. I do not think you need a full rant on the labour issues of Blackfoot wine, but it's certainly a topic.
Then, what to buy? I associate Ares with full, harsh reds (or even a nice rose...), and Apollon I believe is both a red, rose, and white wine sort. As a general rule, affordable and drinkable (usually food) wine tends to be Italian (DOCG - Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita): Italian for “Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin” means that it was made under certain quality control constrictions. Besides, a 10$ Chianti is a perfect offering. The quality system on wine labels goes far beyond DOCG, but that's a different post or if anyone asks.
For Ares, I would recommend any wine that states itself as "tannic" "bold" "courageous" etc., and grapes like Cabernet Franc are famous for this. A Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has similar traits, but it tends to be expensive. If the bottle is blue/green, that means the wine is meant to age, and bolder reds tend to do so. I also think he is definitely a rose guy, so I would gravitate towards rose that calls itself "floral" "light" "refreshing" "breezy" etc., especially one of my favourite grapes, Black Muscat. Chambourcin is also a great grape for him--the floral nature and dark purple hue is beautiful.
Apollon - I would gravitate towards more yellow/gold whites, such as an older Chardonnay or Orange (skin contact white wine) wines. I personally associate him with Traminette, though that one can be rare to find. These tend to be expensive, but noble rot wines I believe fit (often called botrytis wines, but these tend to be more expensive) or straw wines--wines made by grapes shrivelled in the sunlight--which will require some research to find if it's a straw wine if not directly stated. Straw wines are sweet wines, so let's go into that.
Sweet wines will be more "accurate" to the ancient world if you care for that. Sweet wines have hundreds of names depending on region, so here's a tldr;
French wine - demi-sec and above is sweet, especially doux.
Italian - completely opposite of French wine, it's extra-sec (off-sweet), sec (sweet), demi-sec (very sweet), and dolce (syrup sweet)
German - Germany has a whole different approach to sweet wines, with sweetness being a mark of quality; trocken, halbtrocken (half-dry), feinherb (off-dry), lieblich (semi-sweet), and suß (sweet.)
Or the bottle just says "sweet" or "residual sugar" level. This is the easiest.
I hope this helps and may you enjoy offering wines to the theoi!

Survivor's Guilt. Or Something.
hey look nicola-writes is posting writing for the first time in several months!
i wrote this in like. an hour and a half. lower your expectations for me.
tw: suicide (overdose), survivor's guilt in a way. 1185 words.
The Circle K sign glows red, and white, and just a bit of orange. It’s nothing special. Outside, a no parking sign is falling. Some teenager will steal it, probably. Teens are assholes like that.
The door gives a clear, loud ding when I step inside. You don’t chirp your own “ding!” alongside it. I wonder if that’s my fault.
My shoes go tap, tap, tap against the white floor. They’re dirty, and the laces on the right one are untied. My hands are too cold to bother fixing that. It’s not like anyone is here to step on them, anyway. My watch reads 11:47pm—the only ones in this building are me, the cashier, and some stoner in the corner. (You’d trip me if you were here.)
(You’re not.)
Everything is $0.99 in the third aisle. It’s on sale, I guess. I have seven dollars, plus a dime I found in your black jean jacket. That damn jacket is really warm—did that ever bother you? The lining is too fuzzy for any reasonable person to wear it any time but winter, yet I saw you in it probably every day. (I’m the one in it now. I don’t look as good as you did. It’s too short at the sleeves and too long in the back.) Maybe you were just always cold. I know your hands were.
I grab licorice nibs. three packs. They’re disgusting, but I’m going to eat them. That’s the point, you used to say. They taste like plastic, but they aren’t, so they’re not going to kill you. I think that’s stupid. Only you would like the taste of plastic. (I think you ate too much stuff you shouldn’t have.) I can hear you now, goading me to get a fourth pack.
Why the hell are you here?
Why the hell are you here?
Why the hell are you here?
You won’t go away. I’m standing in front of a candy display in Circle K at midnight on a Thursday and you’re not really here but you are and you won’t go away. Fuck you, honestly. Still finding a way to piss me off, even when you’re not around. Why the hell are you here?
(Why the fuck did you leave?)
(No. I know.)
I go over to where the slushie machine stands. The sticker for the orange flavour is peeling off, and where the lime flavour’s sticker used to be is just a gooey square. Someone should really fix that. I reach for a cup—the small ones are $2.29 now, these are getting more expensive, Christ—and get myself Blue Raspberry. It isn’t my favourite, but it was yours, so.
I watch the cup fill. Blue raspberry is a stupid name, I think. Stupid name for a mediocre flavour. Everything about this place is stupid. Stupid aisles, stupid displays, stupid slushie machine with it’s stupid fucking peeling stickers. And the stupid smiley face you drew on the lime sticker is gone now, and it’s never coming back. I remember it clearly, still. The eyes were gigantic, like a frog, with a teeny little smile. You said anyone who voluntarily drank lime slushies probably needed something to smile about.
All of a sudden my hand is cold and I realize I’ve nearly let the cup overflow. The plastic is freezing already, and I know I’ll have a cold, cold trip home. (You would jokingly offer to hold my hand, probably. I don’t know. I wouldn’t have taken it three weeks ago. Now I would.)
I pay for all my shit, and—licorice packs safely tucked in the pocket of your jacket—go back outside, the door dinging again. The no parking sign is still falling, frozen in the motion. I don’t know if or why I expected anything different. Wanted something more thematic, maybe. A dramatic clatter to represent some other end.
I lean against the window. I am very distinctly aware of the NO LOITERING sign above my head. No loitering, no parking, it’s almost like they don’t want anyone here at all. (I still don’t move.) (You would call me a little shit for that.) (You wouldn’t move, either.)
I loiter, and I look up to where the stars are supposed to be but aren’t because this is a city so of course they’re not, and I think.
I looked up survivor’s guilt last night and read the definition until it was seared into the back of my eyelids. “A condition of persistent mental and emotional stress experienced by someone who has survived an incident in which others died”. Do I have survivor’s guilt? Is being sixteen an incident? I survived it. You didn’t. I wish it were the other way around. That seems like survivor’s guilt, or something like it.
Pills. My mind is full of pills. They didn’t tell me specifics, probably didn’t want to give me ideas, but they told me you swallowed a fuck ton of pills. (Well, they didn’t say “fuck ton”, but I know that’s the right number.) You did it because you were stressed, you did it because you were sad, you did it because teens are fucking assholes and you didn’t want to deal with this anymore. I knew you weren’t doing well, but I didn’t think it was that bad. I didn’t realize I should have told someone. (Should I have? Would that have changed anything?)
I wasn’t in your suicide note. Or if I was, no one thought to tell me. (Either way, I’m trying not to take it personally.) I wonder if you thought about me before you did it. (God, I’m self-absorbed.) I wonder if you knew how much I’d miss going to Circle K with you. (It’s been three weeks and I still expect you to pick up if I call.)
If I killed myself too, would I be a copycat? Would you find me again, after we were both dead, and tease me for following in your footsteps yet again? I listen to Elvis because you like him, I join tech class because you do, I kill myself in a bathroom because you did it first.
No. That won’t solve anything. I don’t even want to die, I just want to have my best friend back. (Please come back.)
It’s 12:03 when I finish my slushie. Happy Friday. I throw the blue-stained plastic cup at the nearest garbage can, and when I nearly miss, I want to start crying. But I don’t. Cheer up, you’d say. You never believed there was much use in crying. (I’m starting to think you just hid it for when no one was around.)
I don’t forgive you. I’ll never fucking forgive you. There is a dime in my pocket that isn’t mine and a jacket on my body I shouldn’t have an an empty space beside me that will never feel right and I don’t forgive you.
The Circle K sign glows red, and white, and just a bit of orange. It’s nothing special. I wish you could see it.
