I'm seeing a lot of environmentalism pushback on collecting seashells, something I have done many times since living near the oceans (however, I have long since stopped buying commercially harvested seashells because it usually results in the deaths of the animals using the shells), because we're allegedly taking too many shells off the beaches en masse for animals like hermit crabs to use.

I'm just wondering, is that solely a cause for concern for intact spiral shells? Most of my shells are clam/oyster shells, some intact (as in, the shell is intact, not that it was a whole matching clam specimen), some broken, and I only have broken spiral shells. Is it okay to take those, or do abandoned (most of them sunbleached if they ever had color) bivalve shells and broken shells still have a use for native wildlife?

Could'ya explain how to draw long muzzles?

I'll do my best to explain. So here's the number one tip: USE. REFERENCES.

The best to do is to look up pictures of cats with typically long muzzles, these breeds include Oriental Shorthairs/Longhairs and Siamese cats. Trace these images if you have to, it's always good to get muscle memory and practice (But don't claim the images as your own and don't trace from artists, use real, free to use, photo references

(Reference of what a long muzzle looks like and what a normal cat muzzle looks like.)

However if you're like me and want to exaggerate some shapes of the long muzzle, then start to experiment with the face shapes, a few examples in the image below

I'm not really the person to be asked about art tips or tutorials unless I actually do know what to say, so I'd probably look for tutorials/tips online or ask around to other artists.

But basically, use references.

I see a lot of people talk about a Kirby RPG concept and as someone who loves RPGs and has replayed one single RPG over 60 times, I wanna give my own thoughts on how I would go about it

Just a teeny tiny little read more here because I know I’m gonna ramble. So y’know. It’s gonna be long

Ok so I would have it focus on not the main characters. Kirby isn’t even there. It’s a spin off, he doesn’t really have to be. Kirby is napping through some big giant threat, Bandana Dee is out training somewhere, Meta Knight is fixing the Halberd, and Dedede is just totally oblivious. So instead, characters that aren’t the main four have to take up the quest

Biasedly I’d put Adeleine there as the main protagonist, but also, human girl. She’s the only human. I feel like that just works well as an RPG’s main character. Also she 100% deserves a game of her own, so

She sees this scary evil thing, realizes nobody else is gonna do anything about it, grabs a sword (that isn’t possessed or anything because she’s actually aware of what Dark Matter is [unlike a certain someone]), and then goes around trying to find anyone else who can help her

She doesn’t use the sword though she just. Wanted to hold a sword. And smack some people with it and go “we need to go on a quest” and then she throws it away in favor of her paintbrush

I feel like this could actually work just having the members of the Wave Two Dream Friends. Out of all of them, those four (yeah I’m counting Ribbon separately) are the most ragtag misfits. None of them really work together well, so this could be a way to actually explore their dynamics, because 0, 1, and 3 are all pretty explanatory. 0 is the main team, 1 are just silly guys, and 3… yeah everyone knows how those three fit together

So Adeleine as the leader, Ribbon who gets to be separate because she deserves to be her own character and also RPGs are better with four characters in my opinion (totally not bias from the one I’ve played over 60 times), Daroach, and Dark Meta Knight. Who are apparently the only people around to stop some… thing

Who or what would the villain be? What are they trying to stop?

My brain is telling me Dark Matter, since it’s one of the biggest overarching things in the series, and could totally have just seeped into this spin off too. But also… that’s lame

I think it’d be an entirely new, random villain because pretty much all the spin offs do that. Also a lot of spin offs are art themed for whatever reason so now Adeleine being the main protagonist makes sense

Yeah I’m not sure what the force of evil would be

But anyway, there’s my thoughts on what a hypothetical Kirby RPG could be. Extreme amounts of favorite character bias included

so this is a very interesting sequence of events. the idea of 'possesions' of things that rupert owns is one thats consistently brought up. the idea of Owning and Not owning something even though lariette has the realization that he Owns Everything. he doesnt really. he truly has very little and the very little he Does have he cherishes. such as tori. so lets for a moment switch out Possession for Cherish.

his highness shouldnt cherish many things because in the end IM the only thing he will cherish. thats the only way everything can end

what exactly 'everything' means in this situation. well. could it be the promise he made with his mother? its a bit vague. but regardless tori seems to be convinced that there is a reachable End Point Goal and at that point he will lose everything he could cherish because of it.

yea another point of just. shes probably not human. its probably a more literal Possession made out of alchemy. WAIT

thats a very interesting choice of words consider lariette literally went back in time.

anyway. tori is saying because shes unchanging, stable, stagnant, she will be the only possession. the only thing rupert can cherish. the only thing he will have left when he loses everything.

does he lose everything when he gains it all - ie becomes the emperor?

but ultimately we cannot trust her word because. he does lose her. he kills her in the original timeline. another case of words =/= actions.

i feel like lariette has said 'hes a monster who will consume everything' word for word in the past. not really sure how this fits in with the rest of the conversation but it does imply that he too, no matter what, is unchanging. a fact that LARIETTE Does want to be true. she is sticking by it very much ! interesting implications

i also want to bring up. toris Motivation in this. everyone seems to have a focal Motivation. for lariette its her fear. for rupert its his curiousity. for tori would it be her jealousy? it makes sense because shes never once displayed that fact until its now pointed out - a constant theme of lari pretending not to be frightened or disguising her fear with hatred. rupert being totally indifferent and even rejecting lari at first despite his curiosity. idk! idk. its interesting my head hurts
