Like Reo just wanted the hell out of the world port and actually had the opportunity to go back and see his brother and continue like nothing happened, he kinda gave it to Midas, didn’t care that they were a teenager, immediately pulled them, practically said “hey! This job sucks! Thanks!” And dipped

Midas however, saw Icarus was a kid and couldn’t pull them. And once they did pull Icarus they were careful with how they passed on the title, gave them the explanation they needed and have been wanting, and then when they left they were lost because there wasn’t a world for them to go back to

I know the circumstances were much different for Midas becoming Quixis vs Icarus becoming Quixis, but Midas still very much could’ve been like “get me the hell out of here,” and leave without any more conversation, but they didn’t

franziska's characterization is so fucking good. im watching a playthrough of 2-2 and her mannerisms are so clearly derived from von Karma but in a childish way. She hurries along the trial and doesn't let people complete their sentences, but much more often than her father, and in a much less targeted way. She clearly has less of a grasp on the court as a whole, and is superficially mimicking Manfred in the hope that it will help her out without understanding how he actually had that hold (his reputation, record, fraud, etc.).
