X vs. Zero

I imagine that this battle is more dramatic and painful to X because yet again, this is another friend that becomes Maverick. X has to fight the only reploid that he truly trusts, and now Zero is telling him that he was made to kill him. And in the same game, they both die because of Sigma aaaa! They cannot give my boy a damn break!

Then we got the reunion of these two... I can't decide if I want to make X be more angry or sad or even both. Like in this version, when Zero comes back, X is hostile, and he cannot remember Zero (for trauma) X is a better fighter but also is like he can't shot even though he feels this boiling anger in his body for himself and Zero.

Also, I want to make Zero less stoic because his also dealing with a LOT. He doesn't want to battle X nor hurt him again, but X is no longer the patient reploid he used to know anymore.

jhfkdhsv thank you!!! I often struggle with names, but I have taken a great liking to titles. I like how descriptive they can be!

The Illuminated has a few reasons for its actions. The most underlying one is its domain - it always strives for the impossible, to do things that have never been done before and to cause general chaos. It is, after all, known as the god of trickery, as its true domain is not known to mortals. A domain of that which is impossible, the path not taken, the greener grass on the other side.

It would be hard to say when exactly Illuminated was created, as it was more like spawned - before its existence, which never happened, there was only the Void and the worlds. The existence of a god was impossible, so it did what was impossible and sparked into existence. Because of that, it has always viewed The Void with some spark of hostility. This is the second reason, plain old rivalry.

The third reason which spurred it into action was a deal, a deal with a 'person' who was hurt by the cycle immensely - The Avatar.

In short, during the Downpour The Void is searching for an avatar of sorts. A special person, whose soul is not full and ready for a visitor. When the Void is welcomed by the person, the entirety of the available Void gets squeezed into them, remaking them into an avatar of the void wielding her full power. In that moment the Downpour becomes the Drought - with multiple side effects, the Void is gone and her powers do not manifest in any world. In that time the avatar traverses the worlds, while the Void inside of them is evolving and hatching, eating away at parts of their soul. After she's ready she leaves the person's body and, in her full glory, returns to her duty as the afterlife. That is when the Drizzle comes back. Howeverrr.....

The moment the avatar takes on the mantle, they are purged. They are purged from their world, as if they never existed. Nobody knows them, nobody remembers them, just. plain absence. And this state continues after the voyage is finished.

The Avatar was... not too happy about that. To say more, she was destroyed with grief as her friends, her family could not recognize her. To add on to that, when she was 'gone', her father died. Everything gone, she had nothing to go back to. But she could trace her pain to two things - The Cycle and death itself. Thanks to her sacrifice, she knew exactly what is responsible for those two things. But it was indifferent - The Void does not care about such losses, the Void is barely sentient to understand the concept. One cannot get an apology from a fabric that makes up the universe.

She ventured for the one true god she knew of, the one who could do anything, the impossible - The Illuminated. She did not plead nor beg, she just came and the god immediately knew what she craved. She melted away in its embrace, a deal - remnants of Void power in exchange for making sure that nobody else has to go through what she did, nobody will ever become a new avatar of the void. She became Illuminated's companion, her ravaged soul taking the form of a butterfly that is always present on Illuminated's face, covering the mind-shattering visage.

So yeah :] a mix of 'I do what I want', 'fuck her in particular' and 'I promised her revenge'

The Servant is a creature most devoted to the idea of devotion itself - they view loyalty above everything else, their principles unbroken. They view honor, code and servitude as the greatest virtues and an order is holy to them.

They think themselves the greatest knight of them all, so if they abandoned the quest to find their rightful master, they would have to abandon the person they viewed themself to be, shattering their self-perception.

Part of the rest of the order was convinced that Illuminated itself was also vanquished during the finale, so they found the quest impossible and not worth the time spent. To be fair to them, most of angels have never had contact with a true god, as during the Drought tons of fake, self-proclaimed gods have turned up, it's not their fault!

I have always liked the idea of epilogues set months/years after the main story (timeframe fitting how grand time-wise the story is) to see how everyone ended up!

Hello hello! That is my recently-developed wet dog, The Servant!

Basically, after the plot finishes, all angels abandon The Illuminated. Long story short, the plot revolves about its* scheme to stop the cycle the world goes through (Drizzle -> Downpour -> Drought -> Drizzle and so on) and keep it on the Drought part for eternity. Baaasically removing real death and the afterlife from the universe :]

At the end of the story, the plan is foiled. The Void (the afterlife, basically) is pieced back together and the Drought finishes, causing all sorts of wacky stuff. A lot of creatures who called themselves 'gods' suddenly fall apart because of that (their souls, which were bound to their not exactly alive but not exactly dead bodies, get siphoned into the Void while the bodies crumbled).

The Servant was an angel of one such creatures, a malevolent and violent god of war. As an angel, they have been 'employed' by multiple gods already, as their order has a very specific, very simple pledge -> if someone defeats my god, I will follow them instead.

The angels of this god, after it's real death, have scattered, searching for the creature responsible for felling it. In their twisted logic and a loose cause and effect chain, The Illuminated was the one, who defeated the god, so, naturally they have to pledge themselves to Illuminated!

Well.... as The Illuminated is, among other domains, the god of the impossible, it's domain is almost impossible to find if it doesn't invite you there.

All other angels have long gave up and devoted themselves to new masters, but The Servant was relentless. And well, their stubbornness has paid off! They found The Illuminated's domain and pledged their forever servitude to the creature who almost bested Void herself.

Captive Prince/Swan Lake AU

I might be in over my head by posting about this prematurely before finishing the Captive Prince series (though I’m more than halfway through King’s Rising), but the brainrot has already started with my fixating and thinking about an AU. Specifically, a Swan Lake AU. >.> HEAR ME OUT: I am obviously very biased because anyone who knows me knows that I’m weak for fairytale AUs (and especially AUs with ballets as sources of inspiration). But I cannot (cannot, I say) ignore the fact that Laurent is so, so damn Swan Prince coded it is wild, to me. (Yes, I know it’s not like he was intentionally coded that way, and I am not C.A. Pacat XD) It’s just...the outwardly iciness. The hidden fragility. The inability to trust after being hurt so deeply, and having security ripped away from him at such a young age? (Not to mention, the way the Regent tries to manipulate and control (also abuse) Laurent in a way that really evokes how Rothbart treats Odette. And that doesn’t even touch on the fact that Rothbart’s imprisonment of “swan maidens” is very much parallel to how the Regent treats young boys, only to discard them when he no longer has use of them.) The dynamic between Laurent and Damon is also very Odette/Siegfried? The way Damen, despite knowing better, is ultimately drawn to Laurent, drawn to serving him and eventually determined to protect him despite ultimately having had a hand in so much of the pain Laurent went through. (And then Laurent’s initial mistrust of Damen, the frigidity and hate, and how it slowly dissolves into something tender?)

Then, there’s the way the Regent and Damen interact from the start: the manipulation, the underhanded way the Regent tries to drives Damen into certain events (or Laurent). It’s so much like how Rothbart drives Siegfried in a lot of adaptations (thinking specifically of Liam Scarlett’s Swan Lake), yet somehow, Damen remains so unwaveringly noble? Even when pushed to error, he thinks of Laurent, how things will impact Laurent, and it’s that deep yearning and pining that is so distinctive to Swan Lake, and holy shit, there is such potential here. Anyways, my brain is reeling with ideas and that’s all I might post for now as I finish the third book. I hadn’t thought I’d write anymore fanfiction for a while after my current project, but messing with a story like this is...so tempting, ugh. </3 (If it’s not this AU, I feel like I’m going to write something for Captive Prince eventually. I’m so invested in Damen and Laurent it’s not even funny. XD) On that note, if anyone is wanting to talk Captive Prince things, send me a DM because my mind is spinning. XDDD

Zedris and Guila have to be my favorite rewrites, I love their designs that I just stared at them for a good solid 30 minutes just taking it all in!

Now then, for me questions in this rather jumbled up and messy ask; Is the Boar Hat changed at all? What kind of role does Hawk and his mom have in this rewrite, is it roughly the same? Or are they taken out completely?

As for your questions: yes! Hawk and his mama will still be in the rewrite, because they are simply perfect. I love them with everything I have. Although, Hawk might be a girl this time just because it feels right for some reason. Either way, we all know Hawk transcends gender.

I think they'll roughly have the same rolls as they do in canon, with slightly adjusted designs just to account for art style. Hawk's abilities may be changed a bit as well because they always just seemed kind of random and out-of-nowhere when they showed up in season 2. I also think that Mama, this giant pig that just wanders and chills, being the original prison of Chaos and essentially one of the most powerful beings in all of Britannia, is absolutely hilarious, so of course I'm keeping that. And, because I loved seeing the little bits of her own personality in canon, I hope to convey her as more of a character rather than just the vehicle that takes us from place to place. (Love you, Hawk Mama, they could never make me hate you)

And the Boar Hat will have minimal changes; the layout was always a little bit unclear to me so I'll be adjusting it a bit. Since Mama Hawk is technically "hollow," since she's basically a moss shell, there may be a basement for cold storage, and more rooms for the Sins to stay in since it's never fully established what upstairs looks like outside of a few scenes - Meliodas made the Boar Hat to stealthily look for the Sins, after all, and even if he didn't have the expectation that they would travel with him I think he would still have set up the place with them in mind. And, slightly unrelated, but Elizabeth actually gets her own room this time instead of just sharing one with Meliodas since it seemed a bit weird to me that she was sharing a room and a bed with the guy when she only just met him. But that's just a side note.

I think.. Ruin is innocent only as long as Eclipse is suspicious of him. Cos of narrative tropes, you know?

While Moon was the most suspicious, there was definitely an angle of 'aha! my paranoia was justified!' that could be taken.

With Eclipse being the most suspicious of Ruin, Ruin has to be innocent. Because Eclipse is a 'not-exactly-retired-but-currently-on-hold' antagonist. As an antagonist, Eclipse cannot be allowed to be right. Because if he's right, it means that the good guys are wrong, and good guys can't be wrong even when they are the narrative just ignores it i will never get over the fucking time out box i will never get over the fight.

So pretty much the moment Eclipse figures out someone else to hound, its gonna be like 'ah, yeah, it's Ruin'.

(Anyway the idea of it actually being Ruin makes me a little sad, even though your points are exhaustive AND excellent, I'd recently found out about the spell copying myself-- but like. This fandom decided KC was a dad and that Lunar and Eclipse secretly miss having a sibling relationship, I am more than capable of tossing a blanket over Ruin being the culprit and going 'nope! 8D' for fanwork purposes XDDD)

Right now the track record is really bad with Lunar killing Eclipse.

Eclipsev3 wanting to use Lunar as a battery came at him because a Directive put it in his head to do it. That's why he was talking to himself and seeing hallucinations of himself. He was losing it (and he'll lose it more) But Eclipse never said he hated Lunar. Eclipsev2 also never killed him. He left him alive intentionally. He was all powerful. He knew he left a nanobot alive. He wanted to kill part of himself.

Lunar said a deep desperate part of him wants to go crawling back to Eclipse. (said in LAES when Moon and Lunar had their therapy talk with Earth.)

However. Ruin has just lied about everything. I do not trust him as far as I can throw him.

And we sadly already know what Cured Ruin Sounds like....... And The Ruin that we have now... DOES NOT sound like that.

Davis was clearly channeling Fnaf Canon Eclipse for Ruin during the small times he broke through with his "help me"s.

And the Ruin we have today certainly just sounds the exact same as Virus Ruin, just more timid and less crazy.

Also... Eclipse V2 before he died said some interesting things THAT HAVE ALL COME TRUE SO FAR.

Star beings that are coming, Lunar being the key to set things in motion.... All of Eclipsev2's predations before his death came true.

Evil!Sun says that he knows who Made Eclipsev3-4. He also told Moon to listen to Eclipse.

So far. Eclipsev3's number one suspect is Ruin.

Evil!Sun basically told Moon like "I know who it is. Listen to the crazy person who is hacking out a lung to talk to you."

So for me personally, I think it's explicitly confirmed who made him at this point.

Now that I think about it.... CSCorrupted!Alan could possibly spare halo due to some concrete thinking, " Concrete thinking, or perception or perceptive thinking, may be the foundation of more complex thought processes that rely on proper understanding and application of facts. This form of thinking is typically direct and lateral.", so I could take that and make it something like this:

Since the corruption is slowly taking over while he was choking halo, alan's vision was completely different and not his normal/usual vision after it got injected into him. (I thought of giving him that change just so it would make more sense here! I hope but I am not 100% sure-) his vision is like some tint of purple, as for the people around him it depends, if he sees someone he doesn't know at all then to him they would be blurry and would be known as a "threat/danger", maybe making him having a bit of a hard time trusting others since he doesn't know who is who, but if he sees someone that is his loved one or he knows about, they will be completely visible to him/making him know who the person is, and if he gets to know a person more then his vision on that person will slowly start to be less blurry and more visible!

While he was choking halo and still had some sanity in him, he didn't even know who he was choking and thought to himself that it was one of those fighters he would fight in the arena and didn't want to kill another one since he remembered that he killed one from the first time he entered in the ring, so using a bit of his control he managed to let him go and shield himself instead!

I was about to type down something about halo of how I think he would react and be like after seeing Alan being like this now, I wasn't 100% sure about it because I was afraid of any mischaracterizes with him, but for all I know is that halo is being halo which means he'll be an absolute asshole-

Hi there my lovelies! It is a rare guest, Ria here :D

I put on an Oblivion Let's Play to hold my blood pressure low while formulating this announcement, so you better settle down with me xD

I would like to announce here how I will deal with my main blog and all my side blogs on tumblr from now on.

As most of you know, I am working a full time job in retail, so my nervous costume tends to be a tiny bit thin after around 9,5hrs of shift. I am happy to announce to you all that my time as a worker in retail is finally a finite one. If everything works out right, I won't just be able to start a homeoffice job by next year, but also live at a completely different place and city. Sadly there is still a good while of wait ahead of me until then and a lot of things are unsure as of yet. But I will do my best to get to that destination, because right now everything is pretty much murdering me.

What does that mean for my blogs? I have been on Hiatus for a long while, on and off, over years. And yet I have always returned here, more or less satisfied or happy with my performance or the RPC.

From this day on I will treat myself better about being able to come here and also, I will not spread myself thin anymore. I will transform Mariku into an Ask- and Art-Blog. Interactions are always welcome, on and off Anon, as well as dash commentary or writing pieces and updates of myself. You can tag Mariku and me in everything, the followed tags will stay the same, I will just update a few things on my BIO in the next days etc. [maybe I'll finally force myself to make a card, should the mobile pages not work anymore].

Things that will for the close future not be done on my blogs:

RP-Threads: no matter if long, short, or anything. I am torturing myself, because I cannot say no to new thread ideas and the moment I really get invested into plots, threads, ideas or anything alike, my partners tend to just leave and let me drop like a hot potato and I honestly neither need nor want that hate in my life anymore.

Anon-Hate: Will NOT be displayed on this channel. I will keep my Inbox with anonymous messages on, but every piece of disgusting hate will be immediately plucked out of the screen and burned in a bonfire. You will not get a stage here and you can be assured, that I will piss and shit on your disgusting hatred and then laugh about it for the coming week, because you are the most pathetic thing that I had the displeasure of even having to lay a momentary glance on <3

RPC/personal Drama: I will ignore drama and strictly remove myself from it. I will not be part or target of any hatred, impulsive meanness and/or random bouts of radical opinions. Open Commissions: I will open art commissions again after I had a bit more training on my tablet, for everybody, who wants to commission art. I cannot tell you details, yet, but keep your eyes peeled ;)

IMs and Mun related things: You are definitely allowed to write IMs and ask me questions!! I am here to have fun as all of us are, so if your fun includes coming into my IMs and leaving a cat meme each day or send me weird asks, I am all here for it!! All of this might sound very dickish of me, but I just feel like I get too emotionally hurt and immersed and I want to protect me from bad feelings and you from my wrath xDDD

Granny Wolf + Audrey II: They're both hungry, evil little creatures of nature. Yes one is a fairytale and the other is an alien, but still XD I feel like Granny and Audrey could have fun together. Not to mention that Granny has zero qualms with making sure they're fed, unlike Seymore... I wonder how they'd hunt together 🤔

Tiffany Valentine + Russ: I think i talked about this pairing before? But I just KNOW they'll get along great! Tiffany isn't afraid of the occult and bloody. If anything, I think she'd be pretty intrigued by a dream demon. Sure, Russ is a loud mouth. But unlike Chucky, he's such a romantic... When you get past the murder �� and Russ would have a grand time killing with Tiff. I honestly I don't even care if they were into me or something. I just really want to see what happens if you put Tiffany and Russ in the same room.

Baby Firefly + Tiffany Valentine: my friend slashingdisneypasta actually suggested this pairing! I know Baby is gonna annoy her, there will be some kind of chaos. But I just want to put these crazy gals together XD and I'll be the mediator while they bicker 😅

Tiffany Valentine + The Hessian: Oh wow, that's Tiffany in three duos XD but you can't tell me that she, an avid fascination for the occult and not at all shy about murdering and blood, wouldn't love The Headless Horseman. Tin is more serious than Granny, but Granny is the more genuine member of his pack. I wanna see them interact.

Jerry Dandridge + DmD!Tin Man: Another pair that I'm curious about. Tinny wants to be charming, but his clumsiness does get the better of him sometimes. I need Jerry to take him aside and give him confidence and teach him better balance. Tinny doesn't need lessons to be charming, he just needs a pal that'll give him the boost he needs.

Hi!!! Thank you for the kind words and im so glad you like my works!! Unfortunately, I cannot give any practical advice, because I always do everything SO HAOTIC because I have ADHD and have a very hard time finishing an idea. An idea just flashes in my head, and what I manage to sketch becomes the basis . And most often nothing works out for me) Usually, I draw a storyboard on paper in the office, and in the evening at home I transfer it to the computer, and I always have too many frames and they don’t fit into the format, or too few frames and I have to - either remove or add something. I don’t make a very precise sketch, I just throw out ideas and see how it goes) And to be honest, most often I miss and I can’t fit all the frames into one page, and there aren’t enough frames for the second page) Comic where i needed to add more frames to make it more understandble:

so I’m not an adviser, I just insert frames as they are inserted, and try my best to make them clear to read) sometimes I succeed, sometimes not) I think my main advice is to read more good comics, look at beautiful pictures and try to repeat it) learn, get inspired and work, work and work! Over time, you will learn) I myself am still learning, I make mistakes, but every time I try to do something new and more correct!
