(Y/n) cringed as the higher ups of the JFA threw those words at her.

'This isn't fair. How is any of this my fault?' She bit back her words, knowing that Anri and Ego are probably eavesdropping on the conversation.

"I am sorry. It won't happen again. I took the phones away from them and Teieri-san promised we will go over with everyone what can and can't be posted." (Y/n) said, bowing down as another man rolled his eyes.

"It better not happen. As a captain you take some responsibility as well."

"I understand." (Y/n) repeated and excused herself. Walking out of the room, she ignored both Ego and Anri, she just wanted go back to her room. Anri, worried for the girl, walked after her, leaving Ego to deal with the JFA.

"(Y/n), are you alright? Please talk to me." Anri said in worry, but got no response for a good few minutes. Eventually, all the words got to her and (Y/n) stopped in her tracks.

"(Y/n)..."

"This isn't fair, Teieri-san. All of this is too much for me. I know as a captain I have certain responsibilities, but I am not the PR manager of the team." Anri watched as the girl started tearing up.

"How was I supposed to know Bachira, Isagi, and Kurona would start messing on their profiles?! I don't understand how..." The girl started sobbing and Anri pulled her into a hug.

"It's not your fault, mistakes happen. None of it is your fault."

"I am just tired. I wish I never became the captain, or joined Blue lock. Can I just leave?"

"Don't say that. Listen, go and rest for a bit. Some sleep might do you good."

While Anri tried to calm her down, neither noticed Barou and Rin spying on them... and boy, they were mad!

"Isagi, Bachira, Kurona!!" The trio tensed up as they heard Barou's yell. He was so loud and mad that it caught the attention of other teammates.

"What is this yelling about?" Nagi raised an eyebrow.

"Dunno... Barou and Rin seem angrier than usually." Kunigami shrugged his shoulders.

"What are you yelling about?" Bachira groaned as he got off the ground, Isagi and Kurona also raised an eyebrow as well.

"You three and your stupid posts earlier on are the reason he is yelling!" Rin bit back.

"You don't mean that dumb thread Bachira started? Calm down, it wasn't anything scandalous." Chigiri tried to intervene. This earned a nod from Aryu as well.

"Yeah, it was stupid, but nothing serious."

"Is it worth yelling about it? They got their phones taken away, anyway." Tokimitsu added in. He really wasn't willing to listen to any yelling right now.

"Besides, all three of us got scolded by (Y/n) already. I don't see why you two want to do it as well." Isagi's words earned him a glare from Rin.

"And all three of you should be scolded again! You are the reason he is crying now!" Barou chimed in. This caused the trio to tense up and the rest of the team to narrow their eyes.

"What do you mean with cry? He looked pretty calm when I talked to him." Gagamaru said, Hiori soon after nodding his head.

"Yeah, he even found the situation a little funny."

"Well, those old sacks at the JFA didn't find it funny. Appeared they yelled at him and threw insults at him for that thread." Rin rolled his eyes.

"Yelled at him? You aren't serious, right?" Kurona asked quietly.

"No, we aren't kidding. We heard him cry to Teieri-san about it." Barou answered. The rest of the team was pretty tense by now, shifting their focus to glare at the nervous trio.

"So, he cried? Really cried? Is he ok now?" Niko asked in worry.

"It's so weird to imagine (Y/n) cry. He is always so composed. Whatever they said, must have really stung." Reo narrowed his eyes as Nagi and Karasu cracked their knuckles.

"Let us handle them." Karasu said rather cheerfully.

"But first! You 3 need to fix this with (Y/n). It's your fault after all." Yukimiya added in, causing the attention to be on the trio again.

"You are right... we will think of something." Isagi sighed, guilty for everything as Kurona and Bachira nodded their heads.

"Maybe food will do the trick?" Bachira wondered.

"Maybe, we can help you all. But, you better apologize to (Y/n) properly, got it?" Hiori smiled at them.

"Thank you." Kurona nodded his head as Otoya cleared his throat.

"Can we now beat up the JFA members?"

"No." Kunigami and Rin said at once.

"Do it some other time, we don't want to upset (Y/n) more." Gagamaru argued.

"Let's now focus on helping you 3 out." Chigir yawned, getting off of the floor.

A few hours later and the trio had prepared the food for (Y/n) and did some of the chores she was supposed to do. After she woke up from a longer nap, she was surprised to see Isagi at her door, but didn't think much of it. The real surprise was when she was sat down at the cafeteria, and it wasn't the food that she normally ate that was served to her.

"Huh? I shouldn't be eating this? Does the system have some issues again?" (Y/n) wondered, but earned a protest from Kurona.

"Actually, Isagi and I made it for you. As an apology for what happened earlier today." Isagi nodded his head, confusing (Y/n) more.

"What do you mean?"

"We wanted to apologize for those posts we made... we got you in a lot of trouble for it. I even did the chores that you had to, so that you can relax tonight." Bachira said, smiling apologetically at her.

"Ha? You guys did all of this?"

"Mhm." They nodded their heads. The rest of the cafeteria was pretty much silent, waiting for what might happen next.

"You... you guys really didn't have to. I already said I wasn't mad, the whole thing was funny to me. It's just that the JFA made a huge fuss over it." She rolled her eyes, remembering the yelling from earlier.

"It's all good now, don't beat yourselves up over it. Now, let's eat dinner." She smiled while gesturing at the empty eats. The trio, relieved that it all worked out well in the end, nodded their heads and went to get their own food before sitting down to eat with (Y/n). And, while the rest of the team was happy to see their captain smiling again, they couldn't help but feel down over the fact that she let the trio sit with her.

These are a bit old now, it’s been in drafts for a while cause I forgot about it, but eh.

Random explanations under a cut for funsies—

First one is pretty standard Simon fit stuff, belts armor, a tank top, boots with the fur, etc. Inspo mostly came from just looking at random pictures of belts on Pinterest and finding one with a cool like flail head on it! Which is just neat in general, I’d imagine Simon would probably find it convenient to have the different end attachments for the whip to be easily switched out, so yeahg sure he’s got it on his belt now lol. I tried looking through my boards to find the belt image but I think it may have gotten deleted :(

This one is an outfit I ran into that said “draw ” thing, also saw it on Pinterest, but it took a bit to track down the original artist of it: the artist is “ HEAVEN . “ on Pinterest, also @/luffydguzzler on Twitter. Hopefully drawing Simon and not one of my OCs in this outfit was alright, unfortunately when I ran into the post it was from someone on Pinterest who straight up stole the artwork (;_; ). That being said, if I find out that this is against any boundaries at all, I will take this drawing down. But related to the art itself, I drew him in it because the outfit ratio fit him perfectly. Tight shirt, something on the lower arms, midriff showing, tiny skirt, belts, furry chunky boots— these are all combinations he’s had in his designs before. :3

This one I also just saw a little caplet thingy on Pinterest and went “wow he’d look cute in that” and yeahg. I actually have a Pinterest board that’s entirely for random clothing I think he’d wear! Which is such a uh very normal about a character thing to have 💀.

He’s working out— POV you are Simon’s sparring partner (he’s very happy about it) (also you’re about to get kicked you might wanna block tha— oh no eee— on your left— ooo aaa oof yowch yikes—). I’m having autistic zoomies right now

I want to talk about Yi Sang and Angela because I like them both A Lot and I just think it’s fun to do comparisons. My partner made this lovely checklist with a few similarities I jotted down in a notesapp on my phone before I passed out and I will be cooking a meal thats geared solely to me but ur welcome to try and eat it if u want

Let’s get into it. There is no structure here but maybe we will find it as we go along!

I wanna start w a disclaimer that this is FOR FUN its not actually that serious and ALSO its obviously not a 1-to-1 comparison because these two are also so starkly different in not only their circumstances but also their overall personality when it comes to having deal with said Issues. I feel like tumblr users are more chill these days but after some shit ive seen on projmoon twitter I am covering my bases this is just a Post by a Stranger Online LOL

Let’s take a look at our first point on this silly little chart. That point is:

Bird

Angela’s black dress heavily resembles the feathers of a bird; specifically that of a corvid like a raven or even crow.

Even her head librarian outfit has some bird motifs to it. I’m going to get into corvid symbolism in a second but first

Yi Sang also leans heavily into the bird motifs. His base EGO is named Crow’s Eye View after a poem by the RL Yi Sang, and the narrative draws some inspo from the short story The Wings by the same author.

Wings show up often in some of his EGOS and CGs

Now, it’s not simply generic birds either of them are inspired by; Angela’s black feathers, Yi Sang’s EGO title, they are specifically invoking corvids. Corvidae include many different species of birds, such as magpies and jays, but the most commonly thought of corvids would be the ones with black feathers; ravens and crows. Corvids are incredibly intelligent birds, and they are rich in symbolism and meaning.

Specifically, crows have a heavy association with death and the afterlife. Both Angela and Yi Sang are impacted by heavy losses; Angela is made from a woman who took her own life and is forced to oversee countless loops of people suffering and dying; Yi Sang witnessed his friends being driven apart in a violent manner. His two childhood friends die before him, he wishes he could kill himself and die, and is trapped in a purgatory state with his current coworkers where bloodshed is as common as breathing. Death has marked both of them.

But! That is not the only thing corvids symbolize! In more modern times the birds are said to also symbolize transformation. In a way, that ties into death, as what is death if not the final transformation in life? But neither of their final growths end in their deaths; rather, both learn to find a way to free themselves from the shackles of their past, and to push forward.

THEN WE HAVE

Next point

Narrative haunted by a female figure

This one is in that “not a one-to-one comparison” territory, but it’s still just fun to poke at imo. In Angela’s case, she can never truly escape Carmen’s influence over her. For Yi Sang, Dongbaek is a ghost from his past. Both these women are integral to the overall narrative at hand.

Not only do these women haunt the narrative, but they also mirror the person they haunt. Angela’s desire for life is so strong because, in the end, Carmen wished to live. Dongbaek admired Yi Sang and his dream of flying. She yearned to bloom in a way not dissimilar to a bird spreading it’s wings for the first time. Angela’s Lobcorp design invokes Carmen- her hair color is Carmen’s inverted. She wears the hair time Carmen wore. Dongbaek’s hair has become white from the trauma- the inverse of Yi Sang’s black hair. Yi Sang takes up a Dongbaek identity in a mirror world to further drive home the similarities. These women play a major role in the overall identity of these two characters.

And this is just my brain going “hehe neat” but Carmen’s whole like. Brain stem mimicking a tree and its roots. Dongbaek becoming flowers. Visually very similar vibes.

Onto the next point

Loomed over and controlled by a male figure

This one probably seems second most self explanatory. Ayin meet Gubo Gubo meet Ayin ect.

The deal is simple: you do what we want you to do, and we have employed dubious methods to ensure that you do what we want you to do! Both Ayin and Gubo are self serving when it comes to the end goals. The levels of agency at play here are different; Angela truly had no choice, but Yi Sang’s mental state is not Great and that is being capitalized on him to help perpetuate his isolation and dependency.

Another thing: Ayin and Gubo are just really fucking mean to Angela and Yi Sang. Ayin actively dehumanizes her and neglects her; Gubo verbally and mentally abuses Yi Sang. Fun stuff.

Now, the penultimate point:

Yearning for freedom

This naturally comes with the territory of being a bird. Angela longs to not be confined to a place (Lobcorp or the Library). She wants to experience the world and be free. Yi Sang is similar; that desire to spread his wings and fly. For both to accomplish this, they have a talk with the ‘self’. It’s only by confronting their pasts, and themselves, that they can finally get that push to live life on their own terms.

Concluding thoughts

I just like them both a lot. My little caged birds getting out of the cage and mending their broken wings in order to take flight. Very kino. I love them.

I saw a post on twitter the other day about how it was sad that there was supposed to be a rival for Sliver during the Archie run but nothing came of it.

So I took that as inspo for creating my own version. I took design cues from other rivals in the series. Namely how Sonic's rivals were designed. I also looked into Silver's concept designs and pulled from there.

So, say hello to Omen! He's from the same timeline as Silver. As well as possessing powers similar to him, however they are more focused on the mental aspect.

Unlike Silver, Omen is a Pessimistic Nihilist. He has no hope for the future ever being better, he truly believes that it's natural state is to be forever doomed. So he time travels the same way Silver does and attempts to stop him from ever trying to correct the state their future ends up in.

I draw using Procreate 99.9% of the time. But I also have Sketchbook, Pixel Studio, Rough Animator, and FlipaClip on my iPad. On my computer I have Paint Tool SAI and Krita.

2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)

Forward 100%, but left is easier then right.

3. What ideas come from when you were little

Animations, of any kind. I was really into animation memes back when I really was drawing and drew a shit ton, and I got a lot of inspo from that!

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

My Avali character, she's so pretty and smol but she is a PAIN to draw...

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

On here I only really post stuff with Zee I think ? But I usually post all serious art (so excluding doodles unless I'm really proud of them)

I don't know, I guess my dreams? Well I don't dream a lot, it's mostly nightmares, but sometimes I'll still get inspo. Also a lot of my older characters were based on my issues, such as self esteem issues, imposters syndrome, depression, etc etc.

Painting. I sometimes paint, only really for crafts though. It's not really my thing, but god some people are FANTASTIC.

I've planned lots of little games I wanted to do with my OCs. I wouldn't really say I lost interest in the long term. I'd like to still do them someday, but right now I don't know. But I have a whole game with a mechanic thats based on karma and doing right and wrong..? I'm kinda excited, maybe in the future it will be good!

I don't draw on my computer often, but usually its just '(character name)' and then a number, or a quick thing of the scene. But I have most OC art on my computer, properly sorted into files.

Also my iPad recently got a crack on the screen (it fell off the music stand at band D: ) and when I took art class last semester I broke a bit of smaller stuff like charcoal and pastels...

Flowers. I suck at them, but they're fun to draw! And galaxies, I've painted them before and they were fun.

I love how San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk by Monet looks. In fact, I recreated it for an art project (we had to use pastels and only 3 colors plus black and white to recreate a famous painting. It was a lot of fun) and I just love the texture on it.

This fic’s inspo stems from the Rumor by Jake Miller.

Pairing: Jeon Jungkook x Black Singer!Reader

A/N: That song came on a song radio and I really liked it and then my brain got working so here we are. Also tagging @sugakookitty​ because I have to make sure she has a front row seat.

Every night during and after the PTD in LA tour one could go onto Twitter and see the excitement from ARMYs around the world about two shows, but they could also see the rumors and speculation surrounding Jungkook and YN. 

For that tour, they’d decided to bring out other artists they’d collabed with on random days to perform those songs. YN was the only one who was there every one of those nights, performing two songs that she’d collabed on with the boys and one of her’s that Jungkook had covered a few years before. The song that had brought them all together in the first place.

Also, the reason that fans, antis, and Dispatch clung to the little to no information they had to make everyone think the two were dating. As if they’d met in secret and gotten together and that was why Jungkook did the cover in the first place. 

When in actuality the pair met at some events while BTS was in the states for concerts and everyone seemed like fast friends months after the cover was posted. Soon after that friendship brought about collabs and hanging out with each other in semi-public settings. Something that people caught wind of a few times. All the images and videos taken were platonic for the most part, but YN made Jungkook laugh a little too hard once and that was all it took for people to latch onto them flirting or being a thing. 

Every interaction was analyzed for the smallest things. Didn’t matter if YN got the same reaction out of the other boys or if the outing had very little interaction between the two of them or if she was photographed multiple times with her head on Jin’s shoulder and Yoongi leaning on her’s as the two napped. 

At the end of the day, it circled back to Jungkook.

Something that he didn’t mind at all. In fact, he agreed with some of what people said or noticed. They weren’t wrong about how much he enjoyed being in YN’s presence or how they flirted with each other a lot. Plus, she’d also cuddled up against his shoulder to nap a few times and he’d done the same once, though his head was in her lap and she was playing with his hair.

His members teased him endlessly for that one. Which was also something he didn’t mind much.

He’d be a liar if he said that before he did the cover he thought she was cute and he liked what he saw from what she was public about. That kinda sorta crush quickly tumbled into full blown crush once they’d met and gotten to know each other. Only solidified by how many rumors swarmed, even the more ridiculous ones that involved them making out in the back of the van on the way to the group’s hotel - with the other members also inside.

Nothing close to that ever happened, but he would have liked it if it did. Minus his members there as an audience to their PDA.

Wanting to make those rumors true is why it bummed him out, even more, when the pandemic hit and their tour was postponed. He’d planned to ask YN out in person so he could have a better gauge of if she felt the same way. Of course, he knew she wouldn’t lie to placate him if he’d done it over the phone, but in person was the best way for him to go about it. Especially because he’d lose his mind if he had to wait forever to see her after they both - hopefully - confessed their feelings.

That want didn’t stop him from also texting her several times to just lay everything out to her. Something Yoongi often had to talk him down from.

Of all the members he’d been the most helpful when Jungkook came to him about how he was feeling. His hyung was always a fountain of advice, especially when it came to YN. He’d taken a liking to YN in an older brother kind of way so he had both their interests at heart whenever Jungkook came to him to talk about it. Equal parts encouraging and threatening was how Yoongi handled it, because he wanted Jungkook to be sure about his feelings before he could hurt either of them, especially YN.

There was some past relationship trauma that YN had that Yoongi knew all about and it made him a little more protective of her. Something Jungkook appreciated because it forced him to take another look at what he wanted from her and a relationship, he’d looked deep before but he went deeper that time around.

It was why he was beyond sure by the time talks of the four day concert came up. He fought to get her there for at least two of those days with the members backing him and he lucked out with getting them to say she could do all four if she and her people agreed to it. Which they did.

From there it was just planning how he would tell her how he felt. The way he went about it was so detailed that it was almost like he was preparing to propose to her, which meant at the end of it he scraped all the ideas. Sadly, that meant even when they’d arrived he was left floundering to figure out the right setting and way to confess. That didn’t change even as the concerts officially kicked off. Which was beyond frustrating with all the buzz online that usually helped fuel his drive to move forward with what he wanted.

However, just before the start of the third day he was done with it. He went through the motions of the day with a weird giddy energy that everyone looked at him strange for and that no one but Yoongi seemed to understand.

Once they got on stage that energy fueled and more enjoyable concert and by the time they got to the more sensual of their collabs it was clear to the members what he was up to. He was near YN for almost the entire song and they played off each other effortlessly.

He could see the lightest tint of red under her brown skin when he did, but she pulled it together quickly, winking back before lightly punching Namjoon and fleeing the stage with all of them going right behind her.

They had a little over five minutes to prepare to go back out there, so despite being hopped up on their interaction out there Jungkook made quick work of getting changed into his next outfit. He did it in about two minutes since his next outfit didn’t include much and was easy enough to slip on. His make-up was touched up after, but that only took a few seconds, and then he was out of their dressing room and in YN’s.

He barely knocked before opening the door and closing it behind him.

YN was just finishing up plugging down her hoodie when he entered. Seeing him startled her, especially because she was used to being left alone for about twenty minutes after performing on stage.

“What the fuck, Kookie?” she asked, clutching her chest.

A sheepish smile overtook his lips. “Sorry, I should have waited until you said come in. But I don’t have a lot of time.”

“A lot of time for what?”

For some reason, Jungkook froze at that and became a bit shyer than he’d been with her earlier. That left room for YN to become a little more confident, especially because she loved it when she made him a little flustered. She would have usually teased him, but there was shouting about a minute or two before the next stage and she knew he had to go.

YN raised her brow and took a few steps forward. “What did you need, baby?”

And that was all it took, despite her having called him that a million times.

Jungkook crossed the space between them in three large steps, placed his hands on her waist, and pulled her in for a kiss. The first few seconds of it were soft, both in the way they kissed and the feel of their lips, but the moment YN’s arms wrapped around his neck he pressed closer and became a bit more desperate in the way he kissed her. One of his hands moved from her hip to her hair, his fingers lacing through box braids and pulling slightly. “I really like you. I would ask you to be my girlfriend right now, but I want to take you on a date first. Plus I think we should talk. Meet me in my hotel room after?”

A smile took over YN’s lips and she leaned in, pecking his lips.

“I like you too. And I can definitely do that. I planned to head out a little earlier to avoid traffic anyway. I’ll stop by my place and then have my manager arrange to get me indiscreetly. Just text me when you leave here.”

There was some frantic yelling asking where Jungkook was so he nodded and pulled away, glancing at her one more time before leaving the room and sprinting out. It was a good thing her dressing room was just as close to the stage as theirs was.

Not that YN focused on that long, she fell onto the couch in the room and released a delighted squeal. Excitement and nerves about what happened filled her and not even her manager appearing in the room could get her to pull it together.

She wasn’t alone in that thought, because for once Jungkook struggled to regulate his emotions as they got into position for the next stage. His smile fought long and hard to remain in place, but he pushed it down.

By the time the concert was over and they were in the vans headed back to the hotel nerves set in for Jungkook. He could remember what happened in YN’s dressing room, but a voice in his head tried to convince him that maybe she was just being nice. Or that he had stepped out of bounds by kissing her before saying anything. She’d kissed him back, but a part of him said it was a little too forward.

Thankfully, he remembered that YN wasn’t the type to just placate people, especially not in the matter of feelings. He’d watched her turn down an up and coming artist in the middle of an industry party, in front of his friends, and right as he was about to go on stage. And though she was Jungkook’s friend and she wouldn’t want him to go out on stage off his game she wouldn’t have said she liked him too just to rip his heart to pieces once they had the proper time to talk things through.

Thoughts like that are what replayed in his head over and over again until he got to his room. He was so focused on reassuring himself that he didn’t speak or even really acknowledge the members when they said something. Not that he had to, because Yoongi told them to leave him since he already knew what was going down. He cornered Jungkook and asked about his intense smiling and Jungkook blurted out what happened. 

Once inside his room, he finally reentered the reality of what was about to happen and was filled with mild panic. Jungkook was usually the semi-organized type, but he’d been tired and in a rush so his hotel room was a shit show. 

So, with a new sort of energy, he didn’t know he could possess after a concert he speed cleaned the room. That included finding the Lysol wipes that Hobi threw at him before they were assigned hotel rooms and wiped a few things down. After he jumped into the shower and dressed faster than he ever had.

Upon finishing he was sure everything was ready, but the room smelt off. A mix of stagnant air and lemons. He was quick to open a window and use one of his colognes to fill the air a little. Spritzing himself a few times before he finally took a seat and a deep breath. 

YN texted him when she left the stadium about around what time she’d be arriving and that she’d let him know when she was close. So all he needed to do was wait, which made him antsy. It also made him space out a little, so much so that he zoned out and nearly had a heart attack when he heard a knock on his door.

Panic filled him as he searched his phone for a message that she was there, but found nothing. He headed to the door with his heart beating in his chest only to see no one through the peephole. He slowly opened the door and looked around to see that not a soul was in the hallway but there was a bag on the floor.

Worry about a sasaeng hit him for a moment, but then he saw what was in the bag and snatched it up before quickly retreating into his room. He took its contents out and felt his body was on fire while he assessed the box of condoms. Feeling something weird on the back he was both embarrassed and annoyed by the sticky note he found.

With that confirmed he pulled the chair at the desk of his room to the table he usually ate at and positioned the armchair across from it.

Not wanting them to freeze he closed the window and then moved to stand by the door. He knew he should probably sit down and wait, but he also knew that he would get caught sprinting towards the door if he did. Standing at it would be a test in self control, but at least he could reason with himself about counting for ten seconds before opening.

The knock that came about a minute after made him think otherwise, but he took a quiet, deep breath, counted, and then unlocked the door. YN smiled at him the moment the door opened and he uttered a quick thanks to his manager before ushering her inside.

Nothing needed to be said as she kicked off her shoes, set down her bag, and got to putting down their food on the table. They’d hung out a million times like that and so while she did that Jungkook got the TV on and put on some random anime they’d watched a few times before from Netflix and pulled water from his mini-fridge.

There was an attempt to help with the food, but one hand smack and he simply plopped onto the desk chair without a word. She opened his container of Chinese food and then utensils before she sat and opened her own. 

Even after they were settled not a word was uttered though. Food took priority with both of them, but especially after expelling energy. They each got about halfway through before focus shifted.

Or more so before the energy in the space shifted and Jungkook became a little shy.

They stared each other down while eating their food at that point, but as seconds ticked by Jungkook died a little more inside and finally dropped his fork.

“We should talk now, right?” he asked.

“Yes, we should. You want to go first?”

“I probably should.”

“Then the floor is yours, love.”

A nod, a long sip of his water, and a deep breath later and Jungkook spoke up.

“I had this whole speech planned in my head, but I can’t remember most of it right now. Plus it was ten minutes long and I couldn’t agree with the cuts that Yoongi told me to make, so I’m just going to try to say this without feeling like a middle schooler admitting to his first real crush.

“I’ve liked you for a really long time, YN. It was a slow progression of feelings starting from friendship, though I will admit a slight crush on you before we even met. I wanted to tell you how I felt when we came out here on tour but then the world descended into madness and I didn’t want to tell you while being so far away. But then it felt like it would take forever and I almost told you when you had that date with that one guy, but we found out about PTD and he was a jackass so I thought now would be the time. That kiss was not how I planned it and I wanted way more time to talk it through but I just couldn’t help myself. I don’t regret kissing you though, just the setup.”

Throughout his speech, he’d switched from English to Korean and it was a wonderful thing that YN understood him. Not that it took away from the embarrassment that filled him once he’d realized what he’d done.

“So we were both preparing to ask each other?”

“Yes.”

“And we could have been together sooner?”

“Yes.”

“But we weren’t because of us being too in our heads?”

“Yes.”

“And because we didn’t want to start things from so far away?”

“Yes.”

“Wow… Do you regret it?”

“No.”

After so many yeses it was a shock to hear a different answer and Jungkook wasn’t offended, but the shock changed his expression. Enough so that YN felt the need to speak quickly.

“I don’t think either of us would have loved to be apart for so long. Plus, it helps that we both now know how each other operates under the stress of a situation on a global scale.”

Jungkook took a deep breath.

“True.”

Silence hung over them for a moment and they went back to eating and glancing at the TV every so often. It was weird, but also not because it was very like them. They’d talked about heavier topics and then paused to finish eating before picking it up or leaving it there, never feeling like they were avoiding anything. It was just the nature of who they were.

Food was finished not long after and they cleaned up before settling into Jungkook’s bed with snacks that YN brought and that Jungkook already had. They snacked and watched TV, YN’s head on his shoulder like it normally was when they got comfortable like that. Another norm for them.

What wasn’t the norm though was the way that Jungkook slowly pulled her even closer and moved their bodies so they were laying down with one of her legs tossed over his. I really love the way I drew and coloured the folds of his coattails here too, as well as the moss I added last minute onto the truffula tree trunk.

The frame started out as just a plain brown rectangle and I thought, now that's not very seussy, so I referenced the Too Big To Fail frame in the movie. I believe it took me two whole days to draw just the frame. :,) And the seuss portrait I just referenced from google images but it was a challenge too; I had to completely redraw it near the end to make him look more accurate.

I’m REALLY proud of this little area of my zine piece. The hand and blood is a ref to Truffula Flu, our zomb apocalypse AU. I had to redraw it twice to get it right. As you guys have probably gathered by now, nothing is ever too late to change for me. If I felt like I could redo something to be better, I'd DO IT. The tree is another example, I was rly bothered that it looked like tentacles (right) so I completely re-rendered it to be more soft and fluffy (left). What made me realize that I could do better was after drawing the trees here: https://miru667.tumblr.com/post/673766406272286720/early-spring-cleaning-part-2-drew-these-btwn I realized that actually, less is more, and that I had over-rendered the tree in my zine piece.

This was actually the first time I've EVER drawn old onceler, so I worked EXTRA hard...I hope I did him justice!! Every hair, every thread, every little thneed tuft was drawn with care. I even manually drew in the shadows for the stripes on his robe so they would look indented! And if you look closely in other screenshots, I also manually added shadows to every piece of thread that makes up the onceler suit stripes.

The LET IT GROW is in seuss font, but I didn’t type it, I drew the letters while mimicking the font’s style, then added edge lighting to make it look carved into the pot. Unfortunately we couldn’t keep the zine title in seuss font as well due to copyright restrictions and I think I might have died if I were to draw the title in seuss font too LMAO

The Audrey is of course intended to be movie Audrey but it's MY zine piece and I wanted to be a little self-indulgent.....so I drew some symbols on the plant pot representing my audrey oc, Audrey Grace. 🤫😇 She means everything to me. She is a direct result of the fandom and she keeps me in the fandom.

I think it’s so cool that since it took 6 months, I would improve like halfway into working on this piece which made me have to go back and redo some things LOL XD. I composed the piece chronologically to mirror the rise and fall of our fandom experience, followed by the calmer, peaceful present days. Aftermath onceler in the piece represents the perceived death of the fandom but outsiders don’t realize we have AUs, we like characters other than onceler, we can extrapolate the story any which way...so that's all represented by the right side of the pic. We won’t stop biggering!

I saw a post today that I didn't want to like..yuh know fuckin hijack cause I saw an artist talk about it. but I wanted to talk about it cause I've had folks unintentionally do stuff in my favor that I didn't appreciate. I've spoken about it on my facebook but not here. I notice this happens way too much and I beg you do not confront me that someone is copying my style... I have been around since the 2000's online. I have had many claim my art, topics, and style inspire them... yes pple will nip from me cause I inspire them and I'm okay with that. As long as no one is being racist towards me and my work I don't care. I'm happy I can inspire others in such a manner..do not go under their art going "this looks like tainted sweet meats art"..its rude af and personally if I see you do it I won't tolerate that and most likely comment on that post congratulating the artist’s work and make you look like a fool ( I’m very petty on that front).I also teach folks paid art classes privately online and the ones I teach under my wings as an apprentice will have styles like mine... THIS IS ON PURPOSE... so cut it tf out... On said post I understood where the artist was coming from about just being used as an inspo resource rather than treated as an artist. An it took me so long to realize what folks were doing when inspired by me cause I was so used to getting white folks be super racist with my my art and extremely fetishy race wise with me in the art community that I couldn't tell the difference if this was like genuine inspo or like are you poppin your rocks off at the fact that a lot of my art is asian/black coded. If that yuh know *spice* was something you can sell off me type thing as yuh brand. Cause I've had it happen where folks copy my work and even one creepy artist stalked me for years ripping my ocs to resell them as “urban adopts” and mentally I didn’t see that as inspo an was like damn just hard R me and get it over with at that point. It was kinda wild.( dont worry tho that artist was quickly called out by black twitter for some racist stuff they drew..like making a black vamp oc getting hung...woo boi...that was...that was something. hoooooooweeeever, I did notice it triggered others in the past when I spoke about it to target folks who just genuinely loved me and my work and that made me feel a bit protective over folks who just enjoyed my work and I inspired them to draw.  I think in my older age I can tell the difference very quickly and don't mind folks getting inspired by my work as long as racism and fetish aint the reason cause at that point I wouldn't see that as art inspo just plain overall disrespect to me as a person. Wanted to say a thing cause damn I felt that post and understood it. but this is just for me tho and my experience... every artist is different.

Then you could write how Yelena doesn’t know how to take care of someone with a simple common cold since she probably hasn’t ever had to deal with it before.

Most of the time, having your sister and your girlfriend both being Avengers was great. It earned Yelena a lot of bragging rights and she was in constant awe of the both of them . . . But it came with some heavy downsides.

One of them was that Yelena would go days, even weeks, sometimes nearly a month, without seeing either of them, and it took its toll on her. As much as she missed her sister, not having her friend there to cuddle with, talk with, hang out with was difficulty

Which is exactly why on this particular mission that the Avengers had gone on (a two week long mission!), Yelena’s impatience was growing and it was growing quickly. Thankfully, she didn’t have long to wait. In fact, Y/N and Natasha were supposed to walk through the door to Melina’s house (which had really become the entire family’s house) any second.

Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock

The clock was mocking her at this point with its never ending, nerve-riding sounds.

The ticks and tocks had over time felt like they were pounding in her head like a heartbeat. She was so in tune to them that she could barely string a thought together. The want and need for her girlfriend and sister to return grew.

She was so wrapped up in it that she didn’t realize that the two had walked through the door until they were speaking to her.

“Yelena?”

Her head popped up and her eyes went wide but she wasted no time in running and crushing them with a hug. They all shared a laugh and the second she could, Yelena leant in to plant a big kiss on Y/N’s lips, but was cut off by a loud and large sneeze, and Nat gently tugging at her.

“What was that?” Yelena asked through a chuckle, watching her friend and accepting a side hug as a greeting from her older sister.

Y/N shook her head, sniffled, and smiled sheepishly at the blonde. “‘M sorry, Yel, but I got a cold on the mission. Don’t wanna get you sick,” she explained, her voice nasally.

Yelena’s eyes widened and she glanced between Y/N and Natasha. “Sick?” Is it bad?” She asked with concern in her voice.

Y/N shrugged. “Just a cold.”

“Well, then why do you not want to give me a cold?” Yelena asked, eyebrows furrowing.

Y/N smiled, amused. “You’d rather not have a cold than have one, right?” She reasoned.

“Not if it means I can’t kiss—”

“—That’s what you get when you insist on still going to get those files in the pouring rain,” Natasha interjected, interrupting Yelena.

“Oh, you poor thing,” Yelena fussed, and took her girlfriend’s arm, leading her to the couch.

“Lena, really, I’m fine—” Y/N said, but couldn’t help but be touched by her care.

“I’m going to leave you two to it. Gotta go catch up with Melina,” Natasha told them, giving the couple a wary look. She disappeared but was sure that neither of them had heard her, both too wrapped up in their current conversation.

“What do you need? Medicine? I think Melina has some in a cabinet somewhere . . . Do you need blankets or something? Should I call a doctor and get a diagnosis? Hospital?” Yelena rambled once Y/N was laying down.

Y/N just took Yelena’s hands and held them, which caused her to stop for a moment. “Yelena, just take a breath. I’ll be okay in a couple days. A cold is like the least sick you can get,” she said gently and with a calming smile.

Yelena nodded and took a deep breath, but one second later she sat up, gasping. “I’m going to get you a blanket,” was what she said before running off.

When she returned with a large, fluffy blanket in hand, she draped it over Y/N, but froze for a moment when she felt how warm she was. “Why are you so hot? Do you have a fever?”

Y/N smirked. “If we weren’t already dating, I’d say yes, because that was a good pick-up line.”

Yelena deadpanned for a moment, clearly not appreciating the joke.

“I don’t have a fever. Stark just refused to turn on the AC in the Quinjet because he didn’t want to rack up the bills,” Y/N explained.

Yelena sat back, thinking. “He’s a freaking billionaire!” She said, before muttering something in Russian (probably an insult).

For the next couple hours, Y/N had to dissolved into a mess - and so had Yelena. Every time Y/N sniffled or sneezed Yelena jumped. Yet - despite Y/N’s protests - Yelena still wrapped her arms around her and held her. However, Y/N was becoming grumpy. She was hungry and yet she didn’t want to eat because it’d hurt her throat and all she wanted to do was get the damn snot out of her nose but no matter how many tissues she went through, it kept. on. coming. 

So, a clueless Yelena did the only thing she saw fit: called in Melina and Natasha. 

Once the two women had arrived, it was like they were God or something. Natasha sat down and calmed Yelena who was worrying and Melina immediately went to go make a soup. By the time she had finished, Yelena was feeling better, and Y/N was eager to eat - drink? - the soup. 

The four sat down on the couch but only listening to Y/N’s slurping quickly became boring. Thankfully, the sick Avenger got an idea. 

“Soooo, since I have a cold, I think I should decide what we do,” she said. 

Natasha narrowed her eyes in slight suspicion but Melina agreed quickly, making Y/N grin. 

“I want to show you guys some childhood movies you missed out on!” She said gleefully. 

There was a brief pause before Yelena, who was trying (and failing) to hide her own excitement, asked timidly, “Which movies?” 

So, that began their movie marathon. 

They watched all sorts of movies. Disney, Pixar, some classics, and everyone was having a good time. The Russians would ask Y/N a question here and there and she would be perfectly happy to answer - except when it would spoil it. 

But then there came the highlight of the day: they were watching a Disney Princess movie and suddenly, Natasha turned to Y/N and remarked: “You know, you look like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” 

Y/N scrunched her face up and retaliated with: “No, you do, you have red hair!” 

Natasha merely smirked. “You have a red nose,” she pointed out, causing Melina and Yelena to chuckle. 

Y/N pouted and rolled onto her side, putting her hand in front of her nose. “Hey,” Yelena said, leaning over and wrapping her arms around her. “Rudolph is very cute I’m sure and guess what, so are you!” 

Natasha was just happy to have gotten that joke in and she and Melina turned their attention back to the screen, as the movie was absolutely riveting. 

Oh, and by the time the movie marathon was over, Y/N was feeling much better and the group had had lots of popcorn thrown around and pillow fights.

Harry was miserable. He’d never felt like this in his life. He was so unsure of where your relationship would end up and that was so much harder than any breakup. The first few days after you stormed out, he tried calling and texting you but you didn’t answer - he was pretty sure you blocked his number. You hadn’t posted on social media either, which was odd for you. No matter what, you’d always have a story up or a tweet sent. Harry knew he fucked up.

He was so angry at himself, he didn’t know what to do anymore. Usually, he would write a song, or play his guitar... or call you. But he couldn’t do any of that.

As much as he really didn’t want to, Harry went on Twitter. He never did this unless it was completely necessary but he was curious as to what people were saying. That’s when it hit him. You were right. No one was saying anything bad about him or your ex - only you. He knew that would be the case but he didn’t know how bad it would be. They all felt sorry for your ex, claiming how badly he was treated by you. And Harry’s fans were protective of him, saying you didn’t deserve to be with someone as amazing as him. Bullshit, he thought. The things they were saying about you were just awful, and completely untrue.

Harry wondered if you had read all of this. He knew you preferred not to, but with you being on social media all the time it was hard to miss certain things. God, he wanted to call you so bad. His phone broke him out of his thoughts as he got an Instagram notification. You had posted on your story.

Harry didn’t know what he was feeling in that moment. He was sad because you didn’t deserve any of this and he was angry at himself for not being there for you. But ultimately, he was relieved to know that you were okay. Maybe I should try calling her again, he thought. And so he did.

“Hello?” You answered after three rings, your voice was tired.

He was left breathless, “you answered?”

“Yeah,” you sighed, “sorry for ignoring you.”

“You have nothing to be sorry for, you had every right to ignore me. I should be the one apologising.” Harry could tell you didn’t know what to say. “This is probably a stupid question but how have you been?”

“Honestly, H, I don’t know. I went on Twitter and it was pretty brutal... it’s never been this bad before.”

“I saw, too. I’m sorry.”

“It was expected.”

“What did you mean when you said you ‘think’ we’re still together. We’re fine, right?” Harry hares having to ask, but i needed to be done.

You sighed, taking a moment to figure out what to say. “I want us to be, but are we? I know you feel bad or whatever but I didn’t expect that from you, H.”

“I...”

“You’re sorry, I know.”

“Do you think I could come over, maybe? We can talk properly.”

“Okay.”

Your apartment was a state. You’d barely left your bed in two weeks, all you did was get up to shower and pee. You barely even ate, Harry would probably notice. It was only the last few days where you realised that you couldn’t go on like this. Why would you let your shitty ex have this much control over your feelings when you had a new relationship to fix?

It was just so hard, you couldn’t go on your phone without hearing about it. Not even just social media but messages from your friends asking if things were true. You hated it. You wanted to smash your phone into pieces and never think of it again.

You took a quick shower and tried to clean the apartment as best you could before Harry arrived, you didn’t want to worry him. Even though you said you were fine, you didn’t know if you fully could be until you spoke about it all with him. He really upset you.

Harry walked in while you were cleaning the kitchen, there wasn’t much mess since you hadn’t really been in there much but you were sure the milk was gone off. And it most definitely was. “Gross,” you almost gagged as you sniffed the half empty carton, pouring the rest down the sink.

“You ok?”

You jumped at his voice. “Fuck, Harry. Don’t do that! There’s a bell for a reason.”

“I also have a key for a reason.”

“Right... I was just-“

“Getting rid of your gone off milk?”

“Yeah, and my gone off yoghurt, and my gone off hummus and my-“

“I get it.” Harry chuckled.

“Stop cutting me off!”

“Sorry, you just... you never let your food go bad.”

“I haven’t really been focused on the contents of my fridge recently, Harry.” You rolled you eyes.

You made some black coffee for the both of you, which you hated but you didn’t have a choice. You both sat on the couch, not really sure what to say.

Harry was the first to speak. “You’re not gonna break up with me, are you?”

“I will if I have to.” You sighed as his face fell, he was really worried. “I really love you, Harry, but you can’t be like this. I know you haven’t really had a proper relationship before but I’ve already gone through this and I don’t want to deal with it again.”

“I think I was just jealous. Which I know is so stupid, and there’s no excuse. I shouldn’t have handled it like that, I don’t really have a decent explanation. I’m just so sorry, please know that.”

“I know you are, and I know that’s not you. I get how you must have felt hearing that but at the end of the day, H, I don’t deserve that. Any other situation and I would’ve been able to understand you but this... you really fucking hurt me.” Your eyes begun to sting. You really didn’t want to cry anymore. So you blinked back the tears, closed your eyes, and took a deep breath. “He’s probably going to speak about this in interviews, and when he does, I’m gonna need you to be there for me.”

“And I will be, I promise.”

“How do I know you won’t just get jealous and angry again?”

“You don’t.”

“What?”

“It’s inevitable to feel uncomfortable hearing someone say all that stuff about the person you love. I’m sure you feel the same way when you listen to Taylor’s songs. But it’s not about me, is it? This is your situation and I’m gonna be there for you because I hate seeing you like this. I will apologise as many times as I need to until you know how much I regret they way I acted.”

“Well, I accept your apology.” You said after thinking about it for a moment.

“Really?” Harry looked up, smiling widely.

“Yes, but if this shit happens again, I swear to God-“

“I know. I’m gonna make it up to you.”

“Ok... well, you can start by giving me a kiss.” You smirked, making Harry chuckled at shake his head at you. “And then... you can go grocery shopping for me.”

how much effort he puts into his videos. one time he was giving us an exclusive preview of a new episode on stream of a little animation of a hologram that took him HOURS but it was only like a 10 second clip.

Well he's beefed with her lots of times on his Twitter.

Basically he was the inspo for Should've Said No right. So like from what I gather - and what bloggers before me gathered, like I'm collating I wasn't there and I do not remember it all too well and obvi the hardcore Swifties can and (coz y'all know I genuinely live to be fact checked it is my KINK like YES PLEASE MAKE SURE PEOPLE TELL THE TRUTH) they always do - she was into him, they dated, they went to Sophomore Prom together. She dropped out at some point soon after and moved to homeschooling and he cheated on her and she wrote Should've Said No and name dropped him in the liner. It was one of the last songs she added to the album so I think it was both linked to her leaving Hendersonville High and also to, as we will see later in the story, him being an asshole.

Sam proceeded to make being Tay's ex his personality trait. There are SO MANY PICS of them and those often get used for Drew 1.0 (or he gets replaced with Sam's friend Brandon) and he would Tweet about her and how much press they get and how annoying it is.

When people would be like, "What's an interesting fact about you?" on Twitter he'd be like, "Lmao I DATED TAYLOR SWIFT" and shit.

so about a week ago during my break i got doodling and accidentally came up with this weird idea of a y2k insp cat girl band. i did some rough doodles (I posted them on twitter) on some crappy lined paper and then later inked them today to see what they’d look like in color. sorry the colors are a bit dank, I’m a bit rusty atm (and also i kinda took inspo from John K’s weekend pussy hunt and subsequently stole a lot of the colors from it whoops). i dunno much about them other than the fact that they’re high school/teenage cat girls in band. i think they’re names are Kitty, Kassandra, and Kioko (idk). might design more cute cat girls later. guess im a furry now

Turning Over a New Leaf

My house is cleaner.

I’m more relaxed.

More productive.

More active.

Dare I say...happier?

Happy? In this climate?? How does one go about finding this happiness I speak of? 

Well, for me, it was simple. Set an alarm.

I know, I know: what a concept. But something happened to me about a month ago and I realized that I had a lot of problems, stressors and time management issues in my life....

And I was to blame.

The thing is, I didn’t know I was to blame. I blamed my Microsoft Outlook Calendar which is jam-packed every single weekday with meetings and calls. I blamed the steady stream of emails that flowed into my inbox every minute. I blamed chiropractor visits twice a week that I had to work into my busy schedule. I blamed weekend plans and obligations and errands and everyone...but myself. Because while all the things I listed are very real, there was one person getting in the way of finding free time and well, “me” time, and that person was me.

So, I decided to make some changes. I don’t know about you, but when I make changes, I really MAKE them. They have to be well thought-out and documented. I started thinking about all the factors that were causing me grief and stress over the last few months, and tried to address them:

That’s some set of rules.

I put my money where my mouth is and instead of just making a list of goals on my iPhone’s Notes app, I actually...did the things. I set my alarm for 7am every day. I don’t have to start working until about 9ish, so that was going to give me some extra time to do... WHATEVER. Anything. Even if it was spacing out and having coffee while watching Saved by the Bell reruns, it was better than what I *had* been doing, which is laying in bed until about 9:00 (er, 9:15 some days) and then scrambling like a mad woman to start my day. Frantic. Aggravated. Rushing.

And, for what? I work from home now, and likely will be for a while. Why was I torturing myself? How many days could I get out of bed late and then turn on my computer only to realize I had a meeting in 15 minutes? How many days could I spend sitting at my desk working, and ONLY working all day, realizing when I signed off later that I never really moved much, never went outside, never took a real break?

It was unhealthy, and it made me unhappy.

I also started to wonder why I was getting out of bed so late, ESPECIALLY since my body clock typically wakes me up around 7:30 or 8:00am. If I was up, why didn’t I...ya know, get up? Physically? 

I knew why.

The damn phone. We all do it. We wake up, and before anything else we grab that little device that connects us to the world with the touch of a button. What news alerts do I have; what happened overnight since I went to bed? What’s going on in Twitter World? What’s trending? Let me check Facebook and see whose birthday it is! Let’s scroll through Instagram and Tik Tok and Snapchat AND OH MY GOD IT’S 9:20???? How the hell did an HOUR AND A HALF go by??

Nope. No more. I made a ‘rule’ that I’d set an alarm, and even if I needed a few minutes (or hell, 30 minutes) to lay in bed before getting up, the one thing I could NOT do is scroll through my phone. And guess what? It helps. IT HELPS A LOT. Let me tell you all the things I did this morning: Wednesday, October 14:

dusted & cleaned some windows

rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes 

threw in a load of laundry

had breakfast (hard boiled eggs & some turkey bacon) and coffee 

caught up on the morning news

got ready for the day: makeup, outfit, hair

started this blog post

And I did this all before 9am. 

The catalyst for making these changes happened one weekend in September when my parents were here helping me out with some outdoor cleanup and gardening. They were so helpful in undoing some of the damage Leo and I had done over the summer: we had overgrown plants, weeds, a messy/sandy deck, and we needed some serious ASSISTANCE. And while I appreciated the help, I also felt guilty. Why hadn’t I taken care of this myself? Why did I keep hearing the same phrase come out of my mouth multiple times that day while my parents were over?

“I don’t have the time.”

That was my response when I was asked why I don’t go to Home Depot to get some new outdoor fall stuff. That was my response when asked about watering plants or plucking weeds out of the ground. I DON’T HAVE THE TIME, OKAY?! I AM A VERY BUSY WOMAN!!! 

And, I am. We’re all busy to some extent. And sometimes, it IS hard to find the time for things: house things, chores things, exercise things. But you CAN make the time. You can better USE your time. Since I’ve been getting up earlier each weekday, I’ve used those hours in the mornings for productivity quite often. On weekends, we’ve taken the free time we DO have (before or after plans we might have) to do the things we don’t get to during the week. Just this past weekend, before going to my sister-in-laws house to celebrate our birthdays, Leo and I went to a local preserve in our town to get a walk in. On a recent Sunday when Leo was watching the Jets, I did a LONG OVERDUE closet organization. For me, personally, spending my limited and precious free time on my phone or watching TV makes me feel shitty. Sometimes it’s okay, but I’m generally a happier person when I feel like I’ve gotten things done. 

Oh yeah, and I’m happier the more I MOVE. This isn’t about weight loss or some unhealthy diet culture; this is about overall physical and mental health. Look at how little I moved in August and September. I felt it.

Let’s be real: this year has been TOUGH. We’ve had to make so many adjustments to all the curveballs tossed our way, and we’ve had to navigate the countless changes. But, despite how long we’ve been doing this whole corona dance, it’s never too late to pivot and turn things around. Since March, I’ve been trying to find ways to better myself and find ways to improve my daily life all while working around a challenging work-from-home sitch, a bad back, and a bunch of other obstacles. 

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and I know everyone is different, but if you’re anything like me and think you can benefit from some inspo, great. I wrote this post in hopes that I’d potentially motivate someone to make a change that could help make them happier. The few times I’ve shared this with people -- in person or on social media -- I usually get a response along the lines of “I need to start doing this.” Or, similarly, a coworker/friend recently DID take my advice, and wrote me to tell me:

Bottom line, take care of yourself. I know it’s hard, and sometimes it takes some effort. But it’s important: especially in a year like this one.
