I always love your Rhoam content, because you always represent him so fairly. Like, you acknowledged that he wasn't great to Zelda, but you also don't treat him like he's the absolute worst like a lot of other fans do.
Idk, it's just cool to me that there are some other LoZ fans who don't hate Rhoam.

Haircut
This is loosely based off of a true story. My mom is a pretty traditional woman and prefers longer hair on women. I always wanted to keep my hair long, but during my 20th year when I was lounging around wasting my life away, I kept feeling like I wanted to cut my hair. Just to try it out. I kept thinking it’d be in the future but it was something I secretly wanted to do at that moment. But I knew my mom didn’t want that cuz she makes it very clear that she loves longer hair. Well one day, when my oldest sister was trimming my mom’s hair, she suddenly was like “do you want to cut your hair?” And I was shocked that SHE was the one to suggest it. But I said yes and got my hair cut right then and there! It’s a moment that really stuck with me and a moment where my mom very clearly understood what I wanted despite me not wanting to talk about it. So I thought it’d fit for Zelda and Rhoam.
After the calamity, Rhoam has been slowly trying to mend their relationship (I feel like he should be the one responsible to do so). They barely saw each other during the calamity and when they did it was never a good interaction. Rhoam learned a lot on the great plateau and was humbled significantly, and he stopped thinking like a king and more like a father. This moment was a big step for their healing relationship, and though Rhoam isn’t perfect, he’s trying to change himself for his daughter. He wants to be better. He wants to be a better father.
These two have such a fascinating dynamic that I really want to explore more so I thought I’d doodle this real quick and I had fun with it! In a way, they’re cutting the past and moving on to a new future, leaving behind the pain and heartache they had before: the pain of the queen dying, the pain and stress of the calamity, and the pain of the relationship between them. They want to move on. And again, they’re not perfect. They’ll definitely have moments, but it’s much better than before.
This is a pretty personal comic but I like it a lot :)

I think its funny that nobody has mentioned that in hyrule warriors when you defeat Link as any bad guy, some of the materials you get is his *boot*
Multiple boots in fact. If youre lucky, you can get like, 10
I imagine Ganondorf picking an unconscious Warriors by the scarf and shaking him, and dozens of boots fall out, and he just grabs them and leaves Warriors on the ground

This might make sense to no one except me because I played AOC before BOTW, but in my headcanon Master Kohga is underwhelming and goofy and overdramatic and easy to beat on purpose
Like because of AOC it’s canon that the Yiga were once 1. fucking terrifying and 2. much more prevalent. It’s also canon that Master Kohga can and will redeem himself upon seeing the devastation caused by Ganon worshippers
Master Kohga has been around for at least a century and presumably longer, so it’s no stretch that he might become disillusioned with the world the Yiga are trying to form. But he was raised by the Yiga, so obviously any doubts he has have to be wrong, right? It’s only when he sees his worshippers/employees/family be threatened or killed by the very force he wanted to bring about that he realizes the true cost
In AOC he has a very convenient, very human seeming enemy to point at and team up against. In the BOTW timeline, he’s won. Calamity Ganon is free, millions are dead, there’s not enough food to go around, the royals are gone, he has loyal foot soldiers to feed, and he’s supposed to make the situation worse. No sane person is going to want to do that!!
But what can he do? He has no allies and no easy enemies to rally against beyond the very being they had just fought so hard to summon. The natural solution? Become so utterly incompetent that he fails to destroy the world any more. Ohh nooooo!!! We don’t have enough bananas for the winter!!! Well, I guess that the blademasters responsible for burning down orchards and killing farmers will have to go get some more :) Well now that we know Link’s alive we’ll need to dedicate all our troops to catching him instead of murdering civilians or whatever. What a shame :)
Of course he can’t be too obvious, otherwise the other Yiga will catch on. It was a gradual process that happened over the century Link slept. And now that he’s been dumped in a giant pit he doesn’t even need to try to fight the swordsman!! He’d much rather check out that glowing rock over there than teleport up to the surface, thank you very much
