I don't think they'd be very happy with the armed guard being confiscated especially since it has magical properties on top of having a hook shot basically you can get hit in the arm as hard as you want without risking a broken bone
All the more reason to confiscate it, to be honest. XD
It makes them even remotely invincible then you better believe that Link would abuse the heck out of it to do all sorts of stupid stuff.
That's why it must be put away.
For their own safety.

I spent the day sweating my ass off at a smaller hometown theme park, so here's a list of how the boys enjoy their day trip to a fun park.
Twilight - He’ll go on any ride with anyone no matter how fast or scary, nor how slow or mundane. Although the teacups and other rides that spin you a lot tend to make him dizzy, and he's not a big fan of the haunted house. But our big soft-hearted country boy is partial to the antique carousel and needs to go on it just once. Come on, guys, anybody…? (Spoiler: They all go on it with him.)
Wild - It’s a wonder he’s going to survive any of the rides because this boy is all about the food. Funnel cake? Candy floss?? Potato pancakes??? Fudge????? Dippin’ Dots!!????!?!? He has his hands full of treats while they’re waiting in every line, and on any ride he can sneak them on to successfully, too. His favorite ride is the music-coaster-thing, and he’ll sing along at the top of his voice to every damn song.
Champion - Not too thrilled by rides, but he will go on them to be a sport. Except those rides with a sheer drop, tower-of-terror style. NO fucking thanks. Where he really slays, though, are the shooting games, with special bonus points if one of the other boys challenges him to a round. You bet your ass Champion is casually lugging around a stuffed Wolfie half the size of his body for most of the day.
Legend - He’ll get on some of the coasters and the crazier rides, but not all of them. He’s not a big fan of screaming his head off all day long, gives him a headache. He gets uppity with the fortune telling machine giving him the same negative reading over and over again no matter how many quarters he jams in the damn thing. And his fortune ends up coming true, too: he gets banned from the bumper cars after a vulgar road-rage incident.
Hyrule - Goes on one, maybe two coasters, and promptly pukes. He’s then the designated Bag Handler for the rest of the day. Which actually works out well, all up until the mid-afternoon when he wanders off to find himself some coffee and promptly gets lost, necessitating a rather embarrassing announcement over the PA system.
Warriors - He stressed out about his outfit for two weeks beforehand and STILL managed to choose the wrong thing to wear. Yes, those linen pants with the front crease are supposed to be breezy, Wars, but they’re meant for something like a wedding, not a fucking amusement park. He gets cranky when he’s too fucking hot and his hair is damp against the back of his neck. Eventually, one of the other boys — probably Legend or Sky — has to shoo him away from the group for a bit. When they turn up 20 minutes later Wars has an icy drink, a pair of novelty swim trunks from the souvenir shop, a headband for his hair, and a brand new fuck it, we ball” attitude.
Sky - Loves all the roller coasters, LOVES THEM, and gets sad if he doesn’t get to sit in the front seat on every single one. He wants to go on the biggest, tallest, fastest, most OSHA-violating coaster no less than three times, and he’ll hop off of it just to turn around and get right back in line. Least likely to remember to hydrate and reapply sunscreen. You know he’s passed the fuck out that entire drive home.
Four - He quite enjoys observing the inner workings of the mechanics that go along with the rides, then makes ominous comments about the engineering to his seat-mate as they’re being hauled up the incline for that first drop of a coaster. He also spends an inordinate amount of time in the air conditioned arcade winning as many tickets as he can to obtain some silly prize like an obscure toy from the 80’s or something similar. May not be tall enough to ride every ride.
Wind - Water rides are his JAM. His hair and clothes and shoes are soaked through well before halfway through their day, and he gets the cutest waves in his hair because of it. Although he also smells like chlorine all day, then. Also has way too much ice cream and cold treats during the day, so he’s nursing a hell of a stomach ache on the drive home.
Time - Bet you thought he wouldn’t be in attendance or would wait in the car or some shit, didn’t you? Time allows the boys to cajole him onto every coaster, every water ride, the carousel, into the haunted house, you name it. He’ll sit in the first row of the rides that take your photo, too, and he just. Deadpans it. Zero facial reaction, no screaming on coasters, ALL day. Flawless commitment to the bit. He does secretly enjoy all of this; Time didn’t get to do this sort of stuff when he was their age, so better late than never.

WIP Wednesday!
Tumblr media
My current 20-chapter WIP (which is complete!) and has weekly updates! While it's a sequel, it can be read as a stand-alone since it's a brand new story arc (for the most part).
You can read chapters one and two HERE. Next update will be Wednesday, September 18. (for those who are following, I'm changing the posting day. Sunday isn't working out so well.)
Summary:
As Zelda begins her doctoral fellowship at the Ghirahim Institute, she finds its founder’s intentions toward her may extend beyond professional admiration. Meanwhile, Link is forced to step in as the frontman for his band, Hyrule Warriors, when crucial member Revali decides to go solo.
They'll face the ultimate test of their relationship when they find themselves juggling their demanding careers and being caught in the midst of a scandalous tabloid storm.
Chapter Three sneak peek:
Zelda’s flight is already boarding by the time they arrive at the main building, and check the departure board. Thankfully it’s a small terminal with only seven gates and her’s is right by the entrance. Grabbing the handle of her suitcase, she hurries toward the check-in counter, Link following close behind. He takes her hand as they pass by a group of teenage girls waiting for a shuttle bus. Their eyes light up when they see him, and begin whispering excitedly, pointing and giggling.
Zelda can still feel their eyes on them even after they’ve moved by, and glancing over her shoulder is shocked when one of them gives her a dirty look. She refrains from rolling her eyes when she turns back to Link. “Fans of yours?”
“Beats the hell out of me,” Link says with a shrug, squeezing her hand. “You’re the only fan of mine I care about.”
“Who says I’m a fan?” Zelda snickers when his bright blue eyes widen at her teasing tone.
“Hurtful.” A playful grin tugs at his lips when he leans in to give her a kiss.

Here’s a sneak peek of my first Legend x Ravio fic I’m making as a gift for @enderbunnytime
Back to Where I Belong
The chain had just gone through a portal taking them to another era which Legend recognized immediately.
The morning dew and rising sun, the sky an orange and yellow hue, the singing birds and light breeze hinting a new day had just begun.
“What a lovely morning,” Sky hummed.
“I agree,” Warriors said, looking around the lush woods they were in.
“Does anyone recognize this Hyrule,” Time spoke up.
“Mine,” Legend said, raising his hand so Time could see him from the back of the group where he had been before they came across the portal.
“Then you know the way,” Time said, tilting his head to the side a bit.
“Is there anywhere you want to go while we’re here,” Four asked.
“Yes, I wanna go back to my house and check up on everything,” Legend said, nodding his head.
Legend walked to the front of the group ready to lead the way to his house. Everyone got back into the side by side line they had been walking in earlier and started for the road once again.
As they walked down the gravel path in the woods Legend kept speeding up and everyone saw how he kept twisting his golden and purple bracelet. They could see the anxiety in his eyes, how his eyebrows were furrowed, how he bit his lip, and the sweat running down his head from strawberry blonde hair. Worry for something or someone was clearly plastered on Legend’s face.
“Wonder what’s at home that’s so important,” Wind whispered to Warriors.
“Maybe it's someone special,” he whispered back.
“If you two keep walking slowly then you're going to get left behind because Legend isn’t slowing down anytime soon,” Twilight said which was weird because he was at the back of the line.
The two looked around and saw that everyone had sped up to keep up with Legend and they hadn’t meant they were at the back of the line.
“He’s probably going to start walking even faster soon by how anxious he looks,” Sky piped up from in front of them.
“Alright alright we’re going, come on sailor let’s get back to our spot,” Warriors said, putting his hand on Wind’s back gently pushing him forward.
“Okay,” He said, then turned to Twilight and waved goodbye and the two of them headed back to their spot in the line.
After some time of walking on the road the sun had risen above the treetops and the sky had become a more blue hue by the time they had reached a two story tan house with a purple roof.
In the front yard there was a sign that read “Link and Ravio” while to the left side there was a little shop with a sign above the door reading “Ravio’s Shop”.
Surrounding the back of the two buildings was an apple orchard filled with beautiful ruby red apples and healthy emerald green trees that seemed to go out more than the eye could see.
Legend took off running towards the house while behind him was a collection of gasp and yelps.
“Legend,” Time shouted.
“Wait up,” Hyrule shouted.
“Come on,” Wild shouted to the others in the back.
The sound of thundering footsteps followed Legend as he raced time to get to the door of his house. No longer could Legend wait, he wanted to get back to the one who was awaiting his return. Eleven months and fourteen days was far too long of being apart from his husband.
He reached for the door but decided not to twist the door knob opening the door himself so he knocked three times instead and slowly backed away after.
The other eight men and boys had caught up and had confused looks, some had their heads tilted while others stood stiff or kicking up the grass and dirt.
“What was that for Legend,” Warriors said annoyed.
“How important is this Ravio person,” Four asked.
Legend didn’t answer, he just kept his eyes on the door waiting for it to be opened.
“Give me a second,” a voice called from inside assuming it belonged to this Ravio person Legend was worried about.
“Oh, so there is someone inside,” Wild said and Twilight elbowed him in the arm.
After a few seconds there was a running of footsteps heading towards the door and then the door swung open.
Black hair and emerald green eyes met with strawberry blonde hair and violet ones. Ravio stood in the doorway wide eyed and jaw dropped.
“Link is that you,” Ravio asked quietly as if he was afraid to scare him off.
“Yeah Rav it’s me,” Legend said, nodding his head.
Ravio stood there for a couple of seconds then he threw himself at Legend wrapping his arms around him tightly and Legend returned the hug.
“I’ve missed you so much,” Ravio said quietly into Legends neck.
“Me too Bun,” Legend whispered back.
The others stood awkwardly behind the two as they embraced each other as if it was the last time they’d see each other. They shifted a bit and looked around pretending that they weren’t there so they wouldn’t ruin the reunion.
“So Legend is he your husband,” Wind asked in a snarky tone.
“Yes now shut up, let me hug my husband peacefully,” Legend retorted.
“Come on, let's give some alone time,” Time said calmly with a grin.
“Where are we going to go,” Four asked curiously with ruby red eyes.

The Scent of Nostalgia
Notes
Another sweet baking prompt for BotW/TotK Zelink! This time, it's after the adventure! Thank you for the prompt. It went a lot better than I expected and ended up so silly! Please enjoy!
WARNING: CONTAINS TOTK SPOILERS
Sneak Peek
《 “Let's see… apples, honey, nuts… and the dough! Everything's ready!” Princess Zelda gleefully folds her hands together.
Inside a cozy home in Hateno Village, she and Link gaze over the arrangement of ingredients. They've spent all day running around to gather them. When Link introduced her to the golden apples of the sky islands, she immediately hoped to make something of them. And, sooner or later, she ended up recounting something from Hyrule's early era: a pastry Queen Sonia and King Rauru had enjoyed when they were married. Link insisted on making it for her, but Zelda's been insistent herself. She went out with Link to gather nuts and honey— a feat only really accomplished once they remembered to bring a torch— and now, Link has completed the dough.
Zelda spots her partner reaching for the ingredients out of the corner of her eye, gently stopping his hand by taking it in hers. “Don't worry, Link, I can do this! I'm certain of it! You've taught me very well over the past few years— extensively, might I add— so I believe this will be a better chance than ever for me to go without a proper recipe.” Link can’t really oppose her when she has that expression… Seeing that he’s still concerned nonetheless, Zelda continues, “We have everything right in front of us. I promise not to go experimental.” Evidently, Link trusts her… but he remains very intent on hovering. She supposes she cannot keep him from doing that much. 》

Arrow Through the Heart
@isasan347, your wish is my command.
Fic under cut:
Wild liked to hunt. It gave him ingredients for the meals he made for the others. He was the cook, and it wasn’t a burden to him at all, he enjoyed cooking so much, just feeling the steam of the freshly cooked food meeting his nose, and the crackling of the meat in the pot touching his ears. It was something he had taught himself to do after waking up from his one hundred year slumber, always aiming an arrow at a wild beast, or slaying it with a blade from his many weapons stored in his slate. It was a way he was able to gather food in his Hyrule when he was nowhere near a village. He took time to hunt when he was patrolling, or when a wild animal stumbled into camp on one of his watches. So it was no surprise when he was patrolling one day that he had his bow out, and had already caught a few animals. But he would inevitably need more, because the chain were a fairly large group to cook for everyday, three times a day. He was humming the Song of the Hero, a familiar tune that he had memorized by now, a song that held a special place in his heart. He wasn’t as good as the Rito bard Kass, but it still gave him comfort.
His gaze landed upon a pink bunny, the bunny was wearing a red vest that oddly resembled the veteran hero’s tunic. It didn’t seem to notice the champion, instead it was crawling around ears pointing straight to the cloudy grey skies. Wild took this opportunity greedily and aimed his bow at the small creature, making sure is aim was precise and correct, and sneaking into the bushes, just in case the bunny would notice him. Once he was settled he plucked the bow string and let the arrow glide through the air, silently cheering as the arrow pierced the bunny. The cook rushed out and scooped the bunny up into his arms, but his slate wouldn’t store it. He shrugged and continued his hunting journey for awhile until Wild decided it was time to head back to camp. He hefted the small creature away and arrived back at the camp, content with his work. “Oh hey cu—“ Twilight was greeting when he paused to look.
Wild turned around to his mentor and waved. “Today’s hunting was successful.”
Twilight gave a sudden shriek and sprinted over to his protege, tears pooling at his eyes. Wild was perplexed at the rancher, was he seriously that upset over a bunny? Wild had showed him hunts before. “SKY!” Twilight yelled, alerting the entire chain.
The chosen hero looked up from the harp he was playing and tilted his head. “Everything okay Twi?”
“L-Look.” Twilight pointed at the bunny in Wild’s arms.
There was blood sticking to the cook’s fingers, which he was used to, but would definitely wash later. Sky peered over and then paled drastically, almost turning green. “What’s going on?” Time questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.
The old man peered over and still looked puzzled. “Sky get the Master Sword.” Twilight demanded, not answering Time.
Sky nodded and gently tapped the bunny with the flat end of the Master Sword. All of a sudden shadows filled the cook’s sight and there was a heavier weight to his arms. He looked down to see Legend, fucking Legend with an arrow sticking out of his stomach, unconscious and hair now really pink. Wild was mortified and he felt like puking, too many emotions slamming into him at once. There was few seconds of silence before the camp erupted in chaos. The traveller sprinted over and snatched the hoarder and began searching bags for potions or fairies. The wound where the arrow was, was massive, covering most of the veteran’s chest, and it was gushing the thick red liquid Wild recognized as blood. The champion heard sounds of bile hitting the ground and flinched. “Cub breathe.” Twilight put a hand on his protege’s shoulder.
Wild allowed himself to breathe, breathing deeply in and out. “It’s my fault. I shot him.” Wild cried.
“It was an honest mistake, you didn’t know Legend was that bunny.” Twilight tried to soothe not letting the cook watch the traveller and captain stitch up the vet.
Wild didn’t reply, and just wailed into his mentor’s pelt, thoroughly traumatized. He had planned to cook the bunny, to eat it, he had planned to cook Legend. Twilight held the champion close, wincing as they both heard a whimper and a few curses in the background. The guilt he felt was consuming him, it was like the same guilt he had felt when he gained the memory of his death. The same guilt he had felt when he learned that he had slept for 100 years and failed everyone. He had let the arrow pierce his brother, and now his brother was suffering because of it. The cook was destroyed. “Shhhh, he’ll be okay cub.” Twilight comforted.
But would the veteran hero be okay? Surely Legend would hate the champion if he even survived. That wound was terrifyingly huge. “He’ll be okay.” Were the famous words of the rancher.

Twilight Warriors
Chapter 2
Yes looks like I'm carrying on this Fanfic of a Fanfic! Inspired by my favourite work from @st0rmyskies.
🔞 Warnings for this chapter. Things are gonna get spicy people 😏
It was approaching midnight when the Chain returned with medicine for Twilight. It was two days before Time, Hyrule and Warriors were discussing whether the sickly sweet smelling medicine had done its work enough for Twilight to travel.
"I'm telling you I feel better!" Twilight protested for the tenth time. "I don't feel tired anymore and my head feels just fine."
"It's just over half a days walk to the town Twi," Sky sighed, smiling softly. "You sure you're up to that yet?"
"Yes! Yes, by Hylia yes! Please let me out of this barn!" Twilight groaned, his arms spread wide as he pleaded with his brothers.
"Alright fine, we'll get going. But if you feel fatigued you're to tell us and we'll take a break or set up camp early, alright Rancher?" Time asked pointedly, leveling his good eye in Twilight's direction.
"Alright, I'll take it easy I promise."
With Twilight's assurance that he would take a break if he needed one, the Chain packed up their gear and left the village. Sky and Wind waved at some of the residents as they walked along the main road and out into the countryside.
Hyrule and Wild had succeeded in finding some fairies in their search of the woods. Hyrule had convinced three of them to come with them and patted his pack with a comforting knowledge they were there if the Chain needed them.
Twilight found he was a little short of breath and the pace was a little slower than the rest of them had grown used to. However he refused to complain and simply kept his head down and got on with the task of walking along the road.
They eventually stopped when Wind announced he was hungry and wanted dinner. But he had been stealing sideways glances at Twilight all day. Twi had the sneaking suspicion Wind had called for supper purely for his benefit, rather than his own stomach.
"Do you want to stop here for the night? Or do you want to carry on to the town?" Wars asked Twilight, as he collected up everyone's plates and passed them to Wild.
"How far to the town Four?" Twilight asked.
"Not far, about an hour and a half from here," Four replied with a shrug.
"That's not far. Let's pack up and keep going. Everyone could do with a good nights rest in a bed, not just me." Twilight decided, already pushing himself up onto his feet.
"You sure?" Sky inquired.
"Yeah. Come on, let's get movin."
After their little break and some food Twilight felt a little more invigorated and they reached the town gates in just over an hour. Four apologised when he explained that there wouldn't be enough room at his house for all nine of them. But quickly led the Chain to a tavern he knew near by. Four paid for all the spare rooms the Inn-keep had. Which turned out to be four rooms. Wind drew the short straw and had to share with Time and Wild, while the others split off in pairs.
Warriors and Twilight tumbled into their shared room. Wars slumping against the door while Twilight sat on one of the two beds. He dumped his gear at the foot of the bed and rubbed a hand over his face.
"You good?" Wars checked, stepping away from the door.
"I'm good. Just tired now," Twilight sighed, giving Wars a weak smile.
"Okay. I'm just gonna go find the bathroom. Be right back."
Wars was about to turn for the door when he changed his mind. He crossed the room to where Twilight sat. Twilight glanced up just as Wars leant down to plant a soft kiss against his forehead. Twilight's heart leapt and he couldn't help smiling up at Wars.
"Hey Cap," Sky waved, as he passed Wars coming out of the communal bathroom. "You and Twi alright?"
Wars paused, a small knowing smile curled his lips as he thought of Twilight waiting for him in their room.
"Yeah, we're just fine."
When Wars opened the door to his bedroom, he found Twilight laying on the bed already half undressed. His boots lay discarded on the floor along with his tunic and male. In just his trousers and undershirt Twilight looked a little smaller somehow. No less muscular, quite the opposite. But without the bulk of armour and extra layers, he looked more defined.
"Comfortable?" Wars asked, as he eyed the messy pile on the floor.
"It's not bad, haven't checked out the other bed though. If it's more comfortable than this one we might have to swap."
Wars chuckled as he unbuckled his pauldron and carefully placed it on the table by the window.
"Well," Wars began, as he unlooped his scarf and carefully folded it, "we could always, erm, share."
Twilight's gaze darted towards Wars, who kept his eyes on his scarf, picking at a bit of invisible dirt.
"You wanna sleep together?" Twilight asked, eyebrow cocked.
"Only if you're comfortable with that. If you still don't feel great and you'd rather just get a good night's sleep, we don't have to." Wars quickly assured him, feeling like he was giving Twilight enough outs if he needed them.
Twilight chuckled and swung his legs off the bed, pushing onto his feet and walking around the bed to where Wars stood. He looped his arms around Warriors middle, gently pressing him against his body. Wars stiffened as Twilight rested his head on Wars' shoulder.
"I'd like that very much," Twilight whispered, tickling Warriors ear with his breath.
"Okay," Wars swallowed.
It had been his suggestion. Why was he now so nervous. Twilight seemed to sense his trepidation and released his hold on Wars a little.
"But if you've changed your mind. That's fine too," he assured him.
Wars spun around in Twilight's arms, pressing a firm kiss to his lips. He lifted his arms and draped them over Twilight's shoulders, pressing his body into him.
"No I want to. I just want to be close to you. I want to touch you. I want to touch you everywhere. Kiss you everywhere. I'm mad for you Twilight. You make me feel like I'm drunk. I'm drunk on you."
"I wouldn't want to take advantage of a drunk man," Twilight almost growled, pressing his nose against Wars'.
"Such a gentleman," Wars hummed, unable to keep a playful smile from his lips.
"Nah, I'm no gentleman, trust me."
Warriors body shuddered involuntarily, and Twilight gripped him a little tighter.
"I don't want you to be gentle Twi," Wars sighed, quickly stealing another kiss.
"Well, I'm not sure I'm 100% just yet, so perhaps we aught to take things a little slowly to start with?" Twilight uttered, half wishing he hadn't said anything. He didn't want to ruin the mood. "Besides, we might have this room to ourselves, but I doubt the walls are very thick."
"I might have something to help with that," Wars admitted, smiling mischievously.
"Really?" Twi raised a curious eyebrow.
"Let me go and I'll show you."
Twilight was reluctant to release his hold on Warriors, but a moment later he unclasped his hands and Wars slipped away from him. Warriors quickly went to his pack and pulled out a small teardrop shaped vial of purple liquid.
"Wild gave me some of these a while ago. They're stealth enchantments. They're supposed to surpress noise. If we pour it on the threshold I think it will stop any noise travelling outside this room." Wars explained, showing Twi the tiny vial.
"You sure? I thought you were supposed to drink them?" Twilight asked with a frown.
"That's one way to use it yes. But I've experimented with them and they work this way too."
Wars did as he said and carefully poured a line of the violet potion behind the door of their room. Before swiftly locking the door.
When he stood up again he found Twilight lounging on the bed once more. Wars snorted a short laugh.
"What are you doing over there?"
"Waiting for you, come here," Twilight called, not bothering to lower his voice any more.
Wars felt a strange tug in his chest at being told what to do by Twilight. He was used to being the one giving orders, very rarely receiving them. He crossed the room towards the bed, but stopped short of sitting down. He eyed Twilight, his lack of layers.
"Seems you already have a head start," he said, hands at his belt loosening the buckle.
Twilight's core tingled as he watched Wars begin to undress himself. They'd all seen each other in various stages of undress on their journey. Obviously avoiding being naked in front of each other if they could. But Twilight had often stolen glances at Wars as he undressed at the end of each day. He had stuffed his fist into his mouth late at night, as he jerked off to the image of Wars pulling off his undershirt.
Twilight almost felt like he was dreaming, watching Wars deliberately undressing just for him. He pulled his green tunic over his head before shucking his male. He spent time slowly untying the ribbons at the front of his shirt, gradually exposing his chest inch by inch. Twilight felt his mouth watering as Wars pulled his shirt open and let it fall to the floor. Not caring now about tidying up his clothes. He was caught up in the ritual of his performance.
Wars kicked off his boots but Twilight couldn't hold himself back any longer. He sat up and perched on the edge of the bed. Reaching forwards he grabbed Warriors by his belt and tugged him forwards. Wars let out a soft exclamation of surprise at being so roughly handled, but he couldn't deny he didn't like it. If this was how Twilight was going to be, he wanted more of it.
"You put on a good show, but I can't watch you any more," Twilight uttered, looking up at Wars through his bangs.
"Hmm, I did wonder how long you were going to just lay there watching."
"I could watch you forever. You're so gorgeous. But right now I need to touch you." Twi huffed, leaning forward to kiss Wars' torso.
Wars took in a sharp breath at the feeling of Twi's lips on his skin, while his hands moved up his back to draw him in closer. Twi bit his lip as he eyed Warriors' crotch. He glanced upwards to catch Wars' eye.
"May I?" He asked, his voice husky and laced with want.
Wars nodded, placing his hands on Twi's shoulders to brace himself as he swayed on the spot. Twilight moved his attention back to Warriors' trousers. He unbuckled his belt quickly, then unbuttoned his trousers. Twilight's heightened senses caught the scent of Warriors' arousal. It tugged at Twilight's core, and he could feel himself growing hard. As he tugged Wars' trousers down his legs Twilight noticed the slight damp patch in the front of Wars' pants.
"I'm flattered you're so excited for me," Twilight chuckled, nuzzling his face against Wars' groin.
"Ahh ah ha!" Wars gasped involuntarily as Twilight rubbed his mouth and chin over his erection.
Wars shuddered and Twilight held him a little tighter, digging his finger tips into Wars' ass. He tugged at his pants with his teeth and started tugging them down. Wars' cock sprang free and stood proud in front of Twilight's face. He was practically drooling now, though his mouth felt quite dry as he eyed the object of his desire. Pausing briefly, Twilight looked up at Warriors standing over him. After a few seconds their eyes met and Wars gave Twilight a wink.
"You okay Cap?" Twilight asked softly.
"Yeah," Warriors nodded quickly. "Goddess above I want you. I want this."
Twilight smiled up at his lover, drinking in the frustration on Wars' patiently waiting face. He made him wait just a few more seconds before Twi looked down again. Bending slightly, Twilight dipped his head down level with Wars' cock. His tongue darted out to slide across the tight pink skin at his head. Wars gasped and shuddered in response. Twi repeated the action and received a similar response. Twilight licked his lips before softly kissing the tip of Warriors dick. It was warm and a salty taste lingered on his tongue as he licked off beads of precum.
"Uhhhh," Wars stammered, curling his fingers into Twilight's shirt as waves of pleasure began to wash over him.
Twilight's mouth was hot and wet and he took Wars so eagerly into his mouth, he wanted to sing the Ranchers praises. Currently however, he was struggling to hold onto coherent thought. Twilight continued to suckle more of Wars' cock, lowering his head down over his length. When Wars tip touched the back of Twi's throat, Wars threw his head back and choked on the lump in his throat. Curls ticked Twilight's nose as he hollowed out his cheeks around Warriors dick. His tongue worked up and down while he sucked, drawing Warriors closer and closer to release.
"Fuck! Twi!" Was all Wars could muster as Twilight continued his relentless sucking of Wars' dick.
Before he could crest the wave he was riding, Twilight released him and pulled back. Wars let out a strangled moan, half in pleasure, half in frustration.
"Please Twi, please don't stop. Feels so good," Wars stammered, rocking on his unsteady feet.
"Hmm, you sound so sweet when you're begging. I'd be more than happy to finish ya off. But I'm a bit afraid you might collapse onto the floor."
In a few precise movements Twilight scooped Warriors off his feet and manoeuvred him onto the bed. Twilight quickly pulled off his shirt and undid the laces of his trousers. Wars hands captured Twilight's face and pulled him down for a kiss. Wars sighed at his own taste on Twilight's lips. He had been so close only moments before, and he wanted so desperately for Twilight to take him again.
"Easy pretty boy," Twilight teased, slowly easing down his trousers while he continued trying to kiss Wars at the same time.
"Oh shut up and fuck me farm boy!"
With that Twilight surged forwards, capturing Wars' wrists in his firm grasp and pinning them against the pillows behind Wars' head. The look of thrill and surprise on Warriors face made Twilight's heart pound faster. Wars was gorgeous, slight and lean but devastatingly handsome and delicious. Twilight was still having trouble processing the fact that he was where he was. That Warriors slightly shuddering form was trapped beneath him. Naked and more than willing to take him in whatever way he seemed to want.
Twilight transferred Warriors wrists to one hand, holding them above Wars' head. He kissed Warriors lips and cheeks, then worked his way down his neck and over his collar bones. With each new touch of Twilight's lips Wars sighed in delight. As Twilight continued to map his body with kisses, Warriors crained his neck down to watch. Twi continued his trail of kisses over Warriors chest, pausing briefly to suckle at one of his nipples. Wars let out a brief gasp and Twi logged that reaction away for later exploration. He used his free hand to ensnare Warriors cock once more. Wrapping his hand around the rigid member and slowly starting to pump up and down.
"Mmm, oh!"
"You make such gorgeous noises sweetheart," Twi uttered, his lips brushing over Warriors navel.
Wars chuckled, enjoying the unique way Twilight said 'sweetheart' with his slight accent.
"I'll make all sorts of noises for you."
"Will you now. And what sort of noises will you make if I do this?" Twi asked, his sly smile and mischievous intent creeping into his voice.
Wars frowned slightly as Twilight withdrew his hand from his cock. His wrists were released and he heard the tell-tale sounds of more clothing being removed. Before he could open his eyes however, he felt Twi's hands on his thighs, gently forcing them apart. Fingers slick with saliva pressed into the muscles of Warriors inner thighs, marking their progress towards his, oh!
Twilight firmly pressed his forefinger against Warriors hole. His eyes fixed upon his lovers face, searching for any signs of discomfort or pain.
"Twi!" Wars managed to say between sharp breaths. The finger was withdrawn and Wars relaxed a little.
"You alright?" Twilight asked, concerned he'd crossed a line.
"Do you want me to stop?" Twilight asked again, patiently waiting for Warriors to give him a positive answer before he touched him again.
"No, it's... It's okay. I just wasn't expecting that."
"No, please Twi. I want you so badly. I want you... want you to fill me up," Wars replied, catching Twilight's eye and shooting him a seductive smile.
"Oh is that what you want?" Twilight asked, his lilting teasing tone quickly returning to his voice. The sound of it made Warriors melt.
"Yes Twi."
"How much do you want it?" He whispered, his face suddenly very close to Warriors ear.
"So fucking much!"
Twi shoved his fingers back into his mouth and pulled them out with a wet pop. An instant later they were back on Warriors ass. Wars gasped as Twi gently probed and pushed a single digit into his hole.
"Oh, you're so tight. Gonna have to work you for a while to make you ready for me," Twilight cooed, slowly drawing his finger in and out of Wars' hole.
Twilight continued his ministrations of Warriors ass, gradually stretching him out. He added a second finger and Wars let out a soft moan of pleasure. When Twilight pushed them deeper inside him however, his back arched off the bed and a moan caught in his throat. Twilight was enchanted. He watched Wars' face as though caught by some spell. As he continued to finger him, Twilight couldn't look away from Wars. Seeing his friend, his usually stoic and serious Captain, come undone at the mearest touch of his fingers bolstered Twilight's ego to new heights. Midna had always been the commanding one in their infrequent trysts. Now being the one on top and somewhat in control of their escapades was intoxicating.
When Twilight was satisfied Wars was ready, he crawled his way back up the bed towards him. Wars looked up to find Twilight hovering over him, leaning on one arm while his other hand wrapped around his cock. While Twilight stroked himself, spreading his own pre-cum up and down his shaft, he shoved his tongue into Warriors mouth. Wars moaned against him, opening his jaw wide for Twilight to claim.
For once in his life he didn't care what he looked like. Didn't care how he sounded. Didn't care that he wasn't in control and that Twilight was using him as he pleased. Twilight was all he cared about. Their shared desire burned in the air around them. The smell of sex and sweat clung to his nose and made his mouth water.
Suddenly Wars felt Twilight probing his hole again. This time it wasn't with his fingers. The slick head of Twilight's dick pressed firmly against Warriors ass, begging for entry to his still taut hole.
"Take a breath for me honey," Twilight uttered soothingly.
Wars let out the breath he hadn't realised he was holding. He forced his body to relax, which at this point didn't take a lot of convincing. He felt pressure against his ass as Twi began to move into him. The stretch as Twilight's head found it's way inside Wars was heavenly. Twilight was large and hard and oh Godesses! Wars hoped he was going to last!
"You still okay?" Twi checked in, with half his cock inside Warriors ass. And half his brain still just about working.
"Uh huh!" Wars nodded furiously, unable to form proper words any more.
"Spirits you're still so tight!" Twilight grunted, the vibrations of his voice sending little shock waves through Wars' body.
After he pushed in a little further Twilight withdrew slightly, adjusting his knees a little and placing his hands on Warriors hips. Wars let out a staggered breath as his body trembled at the promise of more pleasure. When Twilight was properly seated he started to rock his hips. His calloused hands gripped Warriors hips to give him more purchase as he built up a steady thrusting rhythm.
"Oh Fuck! Oh Twi!" Wars uttered, one hand resting on his forehead, the other on one of Twilight's shoulders.
"Aww, only a whisper. I'd better work harder if we're gonna test out that potion properly!" Twilight cooed, though he stammered a little between his thrusts.
Twilight kicked into another gear, driven by the beautiful blush on Warriors chest and the perfect little mewing sounds he was making. Wars bit his lip in an attempt to keep himself quiet, but Twilight only hammered him harder and faster. Even the moans caught in Warriors throat were loud and unseamly now.
"Uh, Twi I'm close!" Wars groaned, squeezing his eyes shut while Twilight pounded him into the pillows.
In response, Twilight released one of Warriors hips to grab his dick. Wars cried out as Twilight continued to plough his ass and pump his cock at the same time.
"Ahah!" Wars screamed, almost throwing himself into the air as jolts of heat and pleasure surged through him.
Twilight's eyes never left Warriors face, he was just too gorgeous to look away for a single second. Never mind he was doing all the work, it was worth it just to see the blissed out expression on Warriors face. He buried his cock to the base and thrust his hips as hard as he could into Warriors pelvis. Concentrating on fisting Wars' dick at the same time was a challenge, but Twi could feel Wars' member throbbing in his hand. They were both so close to release. Balls of heat boiled away in their guts sending out wave after wave of tension.
At last Warriors opened his eyes, his mouth dropping into a perfect O as he came over his torso and Twilight's hand. One deep thrust later Twilight released his load into Warriors ass. The heat of Twilight's cum and feeling of fullness stretched Warriors own pleasure beyond what he was used to. His legs trembled on either side of Twilight's body as his orgasm rocked him.
Twilight kept himself buried in Warriors warmth. Wars' ass clenched and spasmed around Twi's length, making him gasp for each breath. As the tide of orgasm began to ebb, Twilight started to withdraw.
"No, please. I don't want you to take it out yet," Wars protested weakly, exhaustion lacing every syllable.
"Sorry, but I'm just about done love. And from the look of you I'd say you are too," Twilight sighed, shaking his head.
Carefully he withdrew himself from Warriors and sat back on his heels on the bed. For a moment he just breathed, looking down at Warriors sprawled on the bed beneath him. His heart felt full and it pounded furiously in his chest. Twi almost felt exhausted, but he forced himself off the bed and to his feet.
"Where you going?" Warriors whimpered, reaching out in a vain attempt to grab Twilight's arm.
"I'm just gonna grab a cloth. You made quite the mess," Twilight whispered, stepping back to give Wars a quick peck on the cheek.
Although the Inn had a communal bathroom, each room had wash-cloths and a bowl of clean water on a stand. Twi dunked in a clean cloth and wrung out most of the water before taking it over to Wars. He sat gently on the bed beside his lover. The beautiful pink flush still present on his pale skin. Twilight made quick work of cleaning up their mess and gently wiped around Warriors dick before giving himself a clean.
With that work done Twilight manoeuvred himself back onto the bed, settling himself beside Warriors. Wars curled his body against the curve of Twilight's figure, drawing in on himself as Twi wrapped an arm around him.
"That was incredible love. You're incredible," Twilight huffed into Warriors hair.
"So are you. I'm... I'm almost lost for words."
"Well that's a first. Who knew all it would take was a good fuckin to finally get you to stop talkin'!" Twi chuckled, squeezing Warriors against himself.
"I suppose I'll have to ask Wild for some more stealth elixers," Wars hummed, smiling contently to himself.
"You planning on doin this again already?" Twilight huffed, unable to hide his laughter.
"Well, I was kinda hoping this wasn't just going to be a one time deal," Wars replied. Suddenly a little nervous, despite everything that had just happened.
"I'm teasing you Captain," Twilight assured him with another squeeze. "I'm not sure I could go on like it was before, knowing it could be like this."
"Me neither. You don't know how many times I've dreamt about you. Or even day dreamed about this," Wars sighed, snuggling into Twilight's embrace.
"Probably about as much as I've dreamt about you."

Wtf is the deal with these bananas!
So having a banana shoved in his face was not what Legend  expected to start that day with, but that was what happened, and it pissed him off, I mean hell he thinks he has the very right to be pissed off he was littarly just sleeping, they all were also the last day just wasn’t good, getting shifted to a new Hyrule that looked like its been devoid of life for a century and all they’ve been doing is walking, just walking! So m getting woken up before the sun has even properly risen by a fucking dude with a banana isnt exactly on his list of fun things.
What didn’t help was when everyone wad actually getting up the dude(who was crouching down like a fucking animal or something) jumped back and threw a banana and hit Legend Right. On. The. Fucking. Nose. And ran before Legend could get a good look at his banana assaulter.
"you okay legend?"
Okay so what if there was a random group of 8 travelers who had seemed to be extremely prepared with weapons and armor, of course he has never seen any of there gear its fine. But they also seemed very unprepared asking for directions to Kakariko town? From random strangers like littarly just a random person not selling anything just standing there, like hello 99% chance that’s a yiga they may not be the hero of courage but yiga aint above attacking travelers. So yeah he was confused and worried.
And sure he may have been following them all day after telling Zelda he was just going around towns getting supplies, but this was important, did Link mentioned he knew almost everyone in Hyrule, like EVERYONE. Yeah so having almost 10 strangers who don’t know how to get to Kakariko but are geared up definitely set of some alarms in his head. They finally settled down, the small multi colored one was cooking while Link was up in the tree, he was this close to shooting them all just to get them away from the pot out of disgust after seeing what he cooked, maybe after figuring out what there deal is He'd be able to make them a good meal because it looks like they haven't had a good one in a while.
after that disgusting dinner they finally fell asleep, armor off, except that one stupid familiar one, he had quite… interesting markings on his face, they kept calling him rancher and Twilight but he disregarded there names and called him face guy(even though he wasn’t the only one with face paint on) it seemed three separate people had watch and he waited till the third one was getting tired to sneak up to the one who had- questionable fashion choices and in true Link fashion crouched down, and shoved a fucking banana in his face, he also threw banana's at the others to wake them up and get there reactions threw another one at blue hat just for good measures and ran, climbed a tree and waited.
And god was blue hat pissed, hes glad he did this early in the morning cas hes sure blue hat would have tan after him if he wasn't so out of it. Everyone was waking up though now, watch guy currently being the short one came rushing back as everyone inspects the bananas confused. "you okay legend?"
"oh yeah Sky im just peachy getting woken up at the crack of dawn by some stranger throwing fucking bananas at me! Feeling great!" oh god Link is really glad be didn’t do this any other time he would have gotten a good run in. the tall armor guy, one of the more intimidating ones spoke up, he seemed to be the leader. "Legend I know your upset but lets move on with it, we can atlest get on the road faster now, hopefully get yo Kakariko today or early tomorrow." Did they know anything? It would be a day and a half walk to dual peeks stable a day if they didn’t take any breaks and were quick on there feet, aswell as  another half a day to kakariko, and that’s if they arent stupid and take the wrong trail(he cut down the sign when he was starting his journey and no one bothered to put it back up) either way they were heading to the stable it seems like so link might wanna go ahead a bit and warn the stable staff.
He telaported to the stable trusting that everyone seems to wake up slowly and they'd be there for a bit. the stable staff were happy to see him, he knew them all and honestly hes 90% certain he alone is keeping all the stables in business. He walked up to the front desk. "Link! Welcome to dueling peeks stable how are you doin? Need a horse, want horsly, or Aurora"
'not today sorry, I came to warn you about maybe 8 strangers' Links rapid signing and the word stranger emiditly set of the stable master. "have you tried bananas?"
'threw them at them this morning, they just seemed
Confused and pissed off, no happiness or excitement definitely no eating of bananas' that was blue hat, he was pissed off. Honestly Links happy he did it to wake them up or else blur hat would have seen him and run after him he swears. 'they are suited up with weapons and armor, but they also don’t know shit for traveling, don't even know the way to kakariko'
The stable master nodded along with him.
"those weirdos, we'll keep an eye out for them tha ks Link, you following them?" he quickly nods "ah Link just like you, thanks again for warning us" Link nods then teleports back to them, and they were still packing, almost done to be fair, bjt still packing just ad Link thought.
It was a pretty uneventful day, no one caught him although blue hat was grumpy all day and surprisingly white cap dude, but still nothing happened, I mean they were intresting at the shrines and tower but didn’t really touch anything at the comand of the one they called captain.(even though he didn’t seem like he was the leader at all) They made it to the stable which none of them seemed to recognize it yet again setting alarms off in his brain and he notices everyone at the stable avoided them and the stable master was snappy with the leader who seemed to do all the talking.
Link decided to teleport to just the other side of dueling peeks so he could walk in and  bring no extra attention to him, luckily the stable master seemed to get the drift, even asked the usual banana question he asked to everyone. although it seemed even the normal treatment he caught the attention of the 8 even though they tried there hardest to be desecrate they were horrible at it. It was most noticble though when he was cooking a whole bunch of food, he was low on supplies and holy shit did they stare.
"I cant take It anymore, what are you making it smells really good!" surprisingly nicer then he originally  "Wind!" blue scarf grabbed the kid from the back of his shirt like a little puppy, harsh. "sorry bout my little brother, we've been traveling all day and haven't ate yet." and he has no idea what comes over him but for Hylia knows why he offers it up, his fucking food. 'do you guys want some' he was half suspecting them to not even know sign, even though it’s very common to speak or atlest understand it in Hyrule hes 80% certin there not from here.(god this is how everyone must have felt when he just kinda showed up randomly) they did infact know Hylian sign, which confirms they seem to all be Hylian.
Blue scarf looks over to the leader who has finished getting bed for all of them, god this is going to be an interesting night. He answers "Were all good thank yo-" with the protest of the smallest one, blue hat, and explorer guy(he wonders off a lot) the leader sighs. "actually if you wouldn’t mind, I know were a big group so if you don’t want to we really would be okay"
"no we wouldn’t old man none of us know how to fucking cook" another inexperience point for them, who travels, and with how geared up they are it seems like they've been traveling for a while. Link decided to just get to cooking, he already probably has enough for everyone but that would end up making a dent in his supply so he just makes a quick soup instead, pumpkin soup because he bought, a fucking lot of pumpkins from kakariko last time he was there.
who would've fucking known pumpkin soup was a favorite, or atlest he hoped that was what it was. They reacted like they’ve never had food ever in there life, but hell who is he to judge. All he wanted to do was figure out if there a threat or not.
After they devoured the food(some had two rounds) they seemed to be getting ready to sleep, Link would have ignored it completely if he didn’t hear his very own name in the midst of there hushed conversation, at this point he was itching to just pull a sword out and demand they tell him who they are but they all seem to be seasoned fighters and as skilled as link is against a hord of monsters the only people he's ever fought are the yiga with at most 3 at a time, which are in no way equivalent to 8 mostly older looking skilled fighters.
So he kept an eye on them, he "slept" outside so if they were to wake up he'd be able to still hear inside but also could follow them outside. Therfore another sleepless night full of cooking and organizing the slate passed by with no shenanigans. The odd group were getting ready to leave to kakariko asking the stable master directions, he could tell he was unhappy to point them to one of the few remaining towns but did it anyways as to not seem suspicious. Link decided It would be best to go teleport to kakariko and warn Impa instead of follow them for the short way up. So he payed the stable master handsomely thanking him for keeping his identity quite and teleported away befor he   refuse.
And he was off.

Day 41: Trouble in Kakariko Village
At dawn, I head out again from Dueling Peaks Stable. It's a gorgeous morning.
Tumblr media
As I ride up the hill I see Naydra flying almost out of the sunrise over the hills towards the peaks. Stunning.
Tumblr media
I check the secluded area past the rocks up the hill for old times' sake - there used to be a monster camp there. But now it looks like this is where the Stable Trotters' Beetz is camped.
It's a beautiful outlook here, to be fair.
Tumblr media
He's trying to summon bees. He wants honey to make Mastro some honey crepes to cheer him up. He needs three combs of courser bee honey - apparently there's a chasm near Kakariko Village and bees nearby - so why's he camped here, so far from the village? Oh. It's scary. Fair enough. I give him some of my honey and let him know the Stable Trotters are actually just down the hill.
In the pass between the hills, Addison again! How many signs can one guy build?
There are ruins right by the village entrance. Letty and Totsuna are investigating. They point to one down the hill, which apparently the Princess has forbidden entrance to. I sense shenanigans. Letty and Totsuna want to be part of the Zonai Survey Team, and they think pinching parts of the ruins for personal study is the way to go about it.
Garshon is riding out of town, and says we met at New Serenne Stable. He got sick of his brother's arguing about swords and beasts - ah, I remember! - and went off to explore caves and ruins himself. He's got a good memory for faces - it must be nearly a month since I saw him.
At the top of the village, Lasli is worried about her grandmother - and Claree, who runs the clothing shop. I remember her - I hope I have enough gems to trade for some sneaking clothes. Lasli's grandmother got too close to the Gloom and is sick.
Tumblr media
The only thing she can eat is porridge made of hylian rice, fresh milk and wild greens - and Lasli needs a porridge that will cure gloom sickness. I have the sundelion I think will do the trick, but no rice and milk.
I'll come back. There used to be a grocery shop at the bottom of the hill.
Ruins have fallen on the house opposite the clothing shop. Wasn't that Dorian and his daughters' house? I hope they're alright!
Tumblr media
Part of the ruin is being used as some kind of workshop - Wortsworth is here, from Lookout Landing. He's translated the tablet that landed at Lookout Landing - it reads:
"Once held in honor as 'hochmayde' (handmaid?) to King Rauru and Queen Sonia, thereafter to his sister and to Princess Zelda. Here on this great stone and twelve more 'withalle make y endite min time' with the royal family. So might 'heore' remembrance preserve for the sake of him on whom our hope rests."
The author says she wrote 13 stone tablets in total about the Royal family. I wonder if more of them will mention Zelda? Wortsworth reckons she's a chambermaid of some kind.
Wortsworth thinks Zelda's mention proves the name is as old as Hyrule - which is, I suppose, technically true. He'll reward me for pictures of any other stone tablets - though the translation will be reward enough for me.
I visit the clothing shop. 5000 rupees for the stealth chest guard?? I may not have enough gems after all. How can they be so much more expensive?
Claree is Lasli's older sister - ah. They want the money for their grandmother's treatment. That's fair enough, but I can't afford it. I might be able to gather the ingredients they need, though.
I just need to register the shrine here, and then I can nip back to Lookout Landing for the supplies I need.
I visit the Goddess statue for stamina first. Koko is selling ring garlands in the square - very sweet. She's grown since I saw her last.
Then I head to the Chief's House. Impa's away looking for geoglyphs, so who's running things here?
Dorian's guarding the Chief's House. He says Paya is in charge? Well, it's Lady Paya now. But the last time I saw her she could barely speak to anyone.
Dorian has been assisting her, for which I'm glad. But he says all she thinks about is the ring ruins. He asks me to speak to her, to try to remind her of her other duties.
I squelch through the rain to meet her - she's talking with Tauro. She doesn't seem confident in being chief… I suppose she had no choice when Impa left.
I have to tell her that the Princess is still missing. But Paya says she's seen her? Immediately after the Upheaval? She confirms what Letty and Totsuna said - the Princess has forbidden anyone to investigate one of the five ring ruins.
I can't imagine Zelda forbidding research. And it just doesn't make sense. Surely this is the imposter's work? She left suddenly once she'd delivered the instruction, which is a pattern I'm beginning to recognise from the imposter.
Paya and Tauro agree it doesn't make sense, but they say that the Princess must have had a reason, so we still can't go up there - annoying.
Calip of the Survey Team is guarding the ruins and won't let me even walk beneath them - does that mean people can't even visit the graves that lie beyond? That's unreasonable.
Tumblr media
I think of Koko and her sister, and their mother's grave. Paya has to see sense.
In the Chief's House, I find a journal of anonymous worries. Someone only finds comfort sleeping on the stone slabs in the ring ruins - weird. Lasli wants to know how to cure Gloom sickness - I know why. Monsters have appeared at one of the ring ruins out west - Drenja from the Zonai Survey Team needs help. Trissa can't find where the cuccos are laying, so the stores and the village are running low. Cottla - sorry, Not Cottla - has found a secret base for her and her mother - presumably because she's not allowed to visit her mother's grave.
A litany of concerns and worries. All ignored. How could Impa abandon these people? How could Paya not see that they need her?
I find Purah's diary under Paya's bed - what's it doing there? She says she's hiding volumes of her diary around - she must have begun this before the Upheaval, I can't imagine she'd bother now. She writes that there's one in her own room. One at the Hateno Lab. One here. Where's the fourth?
Paya's Diary of a Chief is on the desk, so I read that too. She writes of the swiftness with which Impa made her chief and left her to it. Dorian was concerned but said nothing to stop it. She documents the Upheaval, the fall of the ring ruins and the opening of the chasm. It was after that that Impa left. She had been reading a book with eleven symbols - are there that many geoglyphs? Or is this something else?
She says the Zelda who visited was "like a doll of herself… the same outside, but no spirit within." The description chills me. Others have said that they've seen a cold, emotionless Zelda. Surely this is the imposter. The Princess I know has always been warmth personified.
Paya believes the village has been reinvigorated by the ring ruins, research and tourism. How can I make her see the truth? Her people need her.
I head back outside. Letty and Totsuna are sheltering from the rain in the inn. The guy behind the counter, Dai, briefly tries to charge me 10,000 rupees for a bed - but quickly reveals he doesn’t work here. The owner left to make up the Survey Team’s beds and hasn't come back. There’s four camp tents around the village, so he could be anywhere. If I see a sleepy guy, Dai asks me to send him back to the inn to take over. Fine.
Outside, I meet Bugut. He’s come to see the ring ruins, and specifically the stone slabs with writing on, but he’s deathly afraid of heights. I’ll get him some photos.
The weather clears at dusk. Trissa, in the produce store, says the old guys who stock it are busy driving off monsters - is this related to the call for help from the Zonai Survey Team I read in the Chief’s House? Probably - she says to head west to find them.
I climb the hill to start heading to the shrine, finally, and find the Southern Ring Ruin Research Camp - complete with journal by Cori. They’ve found sundelions here and are cultivating them in the plum orchard. They’ve also found a Device Dispenser, which baffles them but is very useful for me.
Tumblr media
I take the scaffolding up the hill for a better gliding point to the shrine - and of course, by that point I might as well go and check out the ring ruins. Tauro’s left some translation notes from this ring:
“There were (those) known as sages...who protect(ed the kingdom) of Hyrule from the Demon King together (with) King (Rauru).”
Nothing new there. But I do wonder if the others contain any new information.
I glide down to the shrine, and spend the rest of the night solving it.

i have a bunch of aus for agitha about what she would be like/be doing in various other loz games, plus some headcanons of my own, and i figured it would be a good idea to make a post about them since im still zelda posting
these are all based on my old rp blog for her
Tumblr media
TWILIGHT PRINCESS (main, three parts) -
CATERPILLAR - orphaned and unsupervised, agitha tends to come and go as she pleases, surviving on a month allowance from her future inheretence. her fath is dead, and her bother is absent. because of this, and her generally eunpleasant hobbies and interest (as well as her unruly will and lack of respect for authority), she's often overlookd and avoided by the town's richer residents, but is well liked and looked after by the local shopkeeps. despite the dangers lurking in every shadow, she wanders the field in search of new bugs to bring to her tea parties and generally stick her nose where she shouldn't. she's not aware of her fairy lineage yet.
CHRYSALIS - The threat of twilight has seemingly passed. agitha has grown into a young woman (about 17) and inherited her family fortune, quickly going from 'strange and uncivilized' to charming and eccentric' in the eyes of Castle Town's well-to-do. This is also possibly helped by her no longer referring to herself as royalty, which is now passed off as a child's game of pretend. due to her new societal pressures and a restless humming in her veins, she's rarely actually at home, preferring to wander Hyrule and it's connecting lands in search of new insects- and answers pertaining to the whereabouts of her mother (and by extension, her own roots) now that she no longer has delusions about her lot in life.
MONARCH - agitha has fully grown into her heritage as a Great Faerie and resides deep in Faron Woods. While she can be fickle, she is still ultimately kind to adventurers who seek her out, trading guidance and blessings for favors. she keeps the company of the skull kids, acting as something of a surrogate mother and playmate.
SKYWARD SWORD - The younger sister of Stritch, and a first year at the Knight Academy in Skyloft. While she has a good relationship with her brother and a handful of acquaintances in town, she mostly spends her time alone exploring the more out of the way islands. Post game, she is one of the residents who comes to the surface to build a life and explore the land.
BREATH OF THE WILD - When the Calamity overtook the land a hundred years ago, all records but what was salvaged by the Sheikah were lost, fiction and documents alike. Agitha has made it her personal mission to travel the lands to document every insect she can- where they are, what they do, what they can be used for- as a small but useful starting point to regaining all that lost knowledge. This endeavor has taken her to many strange places, and she's usually found wandering or staying at one of the stables dotting the land. To keep herself safe, she's taken up the basics of sword play, and in a pinch her umbrella packs a nasty wallop. she's about 17-19 in this au
OCARINA OF TIME (two parts, pre and post 7 year time jump) -
HIGH HOPES - Living safely in Castle Town with her parents, Agitha has rarely traveled outside the town's limits. She spends her days running around in the square hunting bugs and pestering the merchants who come and go to trade in the market. She is particularly interested in the Medicine Shop and the Happy Mask Shop, and loiters around both frequently, peeking over the shop keeps shoulder has he works, and trying on masks respectively. She sneaks around the castle frequently, set on trying to meet the princess one day. She has yet to succeed, but knows about all kinds of nooks and crannies about town and the castle.
OUTLOOK GRIM - Ganondorf has taken the castle, and evil has ravaged the land. In the confusion of the evacuation of Castle Town, Agitha's parents were lost, leaving her orphaned in Kakariko Village. She was taken in by Granny, and raised alongside her grandchildren, Anju and Grog. As she becomes older, she is the only one of the three to show interest and talent in potion making, so Granny began training her to eventually take over the shop when she inevitably passes. As Granny became more feeble and unable to be out and about, Aighta began running back and forth for her, errands and gathering ingredients and the like. To keep herself safe in the field, she's taken up the bow, and will occassionally hunt poes to sell.
MAJORA'S MASK - Agitha lives in the Astral Observatory with Shikashi, who acts as a surrogate grandfather. She is a young woman now, and doesn't technically need him anymore, but she stays around to help with his research and keep him company. (guess i Did decide to make her older in this au)

Peluda!Wind
The last Link in our Chain who hasn't gotten an inhuman version. I won't lie that it was DIFFICULT thinking what I could make Wind as the other choices either have not enough info or just didn't fit my idea.
Today I finally found one in the form of the Peluda (Spanish for Hairy One) or La Velue (Shaggy Beast in French). A fur covered serpentine like creature bearing poison tip spines can breathe fire and caused floods. Even though this creature originates in France, I'm using Peluda name as it's shorter and easier to remember.

Hatched from a strange egg his Grandma found outside her house one day. Wind instinctively took on a Hylian form just three weeks afterwards. His spines didn't grow in until he was 8 and they can be flattened against his back when not in use.
The effects of Wind's poison varies on how big the dosage is but it's instantaneous either way. Small: Hallucinations. Medium: Full body paralysis. Large: Calcification of all flesh.
His fur is sun blonde in color while his scales are a royal blue. Wind is a draconic long necked Peluda and is around the size of a large elephant at his current age in LU. His Hylian form has some Peluda traits such as a few small spines, some fur on his back, claws and sharp teeth.
Has difficulty swimming in Hylian form and can only doggy paddle since it's the closest to swimming in his true form. As a Peluda, he can outswim the fastest speedboat and catch up to horses quite quickly on land.
Everyone on Outset Island knows about Wind's true nature so they're quite protective of him. Anyone looking for the Shaggy Beast is always led on a wild goose chase especially since the Fishmen like Wind too. He sheds both scales and fur which is repurposed into different items for the islanders.
He doesn't shift into his true form much when off his home island especially around the King of Red Lions. Their first meeting was already awkward as he shifted back to his true form halfway through the Helmaroc King's sendoff and nearly crash into said ship.
Will sneeze fire so Wind often runs to some non-flammable location or place the instant he feels an itch. His tail will materialize with a harsh enough sneeze. Linebeck learned that bit the hard way as five seconds later he had to be fished out of the sea from a sudden tail slap.
Quite a few other people and races know about his true form such as the Goron, Rito, Koroks, Anouki, Yook, Linebeck, Tetra alongside her crew, etc. After the events of Phantom Hourglass, charms based on Wind's true form were made and seen as good luck charms. (Linebeck definitely started it.)
Once becoming apart of the Chain, Wind was actually nonchalant about his Peluda nature. Only Time and Warriors knew as the Sailor was less hesitant to use it during HW's events. He just kept it to himself until there was a situation that needed such power. Wind did scare the absolute shit out of any Downfall Era Zora dumb enough to drag him in the water before then.
He took on his Peluda nature when the group got stuck in the middle of a monster ridden sea too dangerous to sail any boat in. Wind was definitely a little shit about it even as he ferried the group to safety.
Hyrule had some issues interacting with the Sailor afterwards considering how hostile dragons were in his era. This just gave Wind more incentive to help the Traveller feel comfortable around the nicer members of the draconic species.
It isn't uncommon for a few Links to sneak a little nap on the Sailor's back as he can carry his fellow Chain members while they travel. If he's shedding, Wind lets the group use his shed fur and scales too. Items made from his fur are very durable, waterproof, fireproof but also cold resistant. Anything made from his scales is resistant to fire, ice and much more durable than the average counterpart.
Wild might've wanted to see what Wind could do in his true form once. Both were never allowed to be left alone together again afterwards. Just know Wind invented Hyrule's version of the Loch Ness Monster as a byproduct.
Overall, it felt like the Chain had gotten one sassy teenage Peluda instead of a sassy juvenile pirate. Warriors did try to ground Wind once. Captain found himself grounded by a large tail instead for horrible self care.
That's all I have for now! Until next time folks, I'll see you back in Hyrule!

Leg
Pinky wanted Legend fic, so Pinky gets Legend fic. tw mentions of hunting, cages, and blood. Also I got a little lazy at the end — I ran out of ideas.
And uhhhhh…. this is a very long ask.
Your smile was contagious as you ran off with Wild and Hyrule on some silly side-quest the three of you had come up with. Legend, after sharing a quick word with Time, followed you silently as the three of you left camp.
This had become routine, although you didn’t know it. You would run off with the two resident troublemakers and Legend would follow from a distance. He told himself, and the Old Man, that he was going along to keep the three of you out of trouble. That it was safer to wander about aimlessly with one of the more responsible heroes present. The Veteran forcibly ignored the strange desire that watching the three of you giggle and run about dragged up within him.
He’d lost the childish urge to play about, run off the beaten path, and turn over stones just to see what might be there years ago. He’d lost that sense of imagination and wonder to the cruelties of his world. He sought only to make sure you weren’t burned by your innocence as he had been. He would be there if something went wrong and he would fix it before you could get upset. But he didn’t want to join you. Definitely not.
You climbed a tree and swung around on some vines with your two comrades. Your bubbling laughter sounded like music in the Vet’s ears. The three of you were clearly having fun. You seemed to have no concept of the passage of time as you played about, swiping teasingly at the two boys and pretending to have been knocked over instead of ducking a similarly lighthearted punch from Wild.
Okay. Maybe Legend wanted to join you a little bit. But he wasn’t going to. He didn’t want to ruin your fun. And he wasn’t ready to admit that the reason he wanted to join you had something to do with the way his heart skipped a beat whenever you smiled or the unbidden desire to hug you close as you laughed. He cared for you as a friend. That was the only reason he never wanted you to lose your smile. The only one. It had to be.
He’s already had one love, and he lost her. He doesn’t expect another. He doesn’t deserve another.
——
Legend’s lost count of the number of times he’s done this. He’s having a harder time justifying it to himself. Not because he still won’t admit that he’s got a crush on you that’s growing by the day — he’s already come to terms with that. Instead it’s because watching your games from afar has started to make him feel really lonely. Literally everything he wants in the world is right there; it’s so close he could almost taste it.
But it’s as if it’s been locked behind a glass wall. He can look, but he may not touch. He won’t get closer. He can’t. He’s convinced the illusion would shatter if he tried to pass the oh-so-fragile barrier. You’d think he was creepy. A stalker. You’d never speak to him again. Or his presence would utterly spoil the magic. Your secret games wouldn’t be secret anymore. You would never be able to sneak off again without looking over your shoulder and wondering if he was there. Or if — by some grace of the goddesses — you weren’t upset and chose to include him, he might not be able to keep up. He might be too broken to loosen up and be silly with you. Maybe he’d just spoil everything.
As much as he can’t risk joining you three in your games, he finds he can’t resist following either. Despite what he tells Time, it’s no longer purely because he’s trying to make sure you’re able to have your fun and avoid the lecture about safety; it’s because he’s gotten addicted to that which he cannot have. That’s always the case with him. That’s just his lot in life. Always on the outside, looking in, and yearning for more than he deserves.
——
He’s startled out of his thoughts by Wild and the traveller discreetly whispering while looking in the direction of the skulking veteran. Hyrule then slips away to go talk to Legend as the latter begins to panic.
“Vet? What’s wrong?” The traveller approaches cautiously.
Legend shakes his head, “nothing, nothing. I’m fine. Really.” He forces a smile but the other boy doesn’t buy it for a second and it’s apparent on his face.
“Wild and I know you’ve been following us for a while now, not just today.” The traveller quirks one eyebrow slightly, “you didn’t actually think we wouldn’t notice, did you?“
The veteran sighs. Of course they both knew he was there. As good at hiding as he is, those two come from arguably the most dangerous eras in Hyrule’s history. Of course they would know they were being followed.
“No, I’m not surprised you noticed. I just—“ the veteran sighs again and trails off.
“You just what? C’mon, Vet, you know you can tell me anything.”
Legend hesitates and Hyrule decides to push harder, “look — I hate to do this to you, Vet — but they’re gonna notice I’m gone in another couple minutes. Then you’ll have all three of us ganging up on you and everybody, except them, can tell you’ve got a crush on them. As I see it you have two choices. Tell me now, quickly, or they’ll force it out of you since you’ve lost the ability to tell them ‘no.’”
Legend sighs, cursing the goddesses’ eternal cruelty toward him, “alright. Fine. It started because I just wanted to let them have fun without getting an earful. Time let y’all off easy because I was here to ‘supervise’ from a distance. But….” He takes a deep breath and does his best to avoid shrinking into a ball as he forces himself to admit it, “but now I just want to join you guys. But I’m scared I’ll ruin the fun somehow or that they’ll think I’m lame. Or worse: creepy for have been watching.”
Hyrule eyes him with… not pity, never pity, but sympathy. He knows Legend (and the legends of his predecessor) well enough to understand. However, this is clearly a situation that calls for some tough love. The traveller has let this hopeless pining go on for long enough. He grins and grabs his predecessor by the wrist, “Just trust me. I promise none of that will happen.” Without another word, he tugs Legend out into the clearing before the veteran has a chance to refuse.
“Look what I found!” Hyrule calls out to you as you notice Legend’s presence, “he was out for a walk. Wars won one of their verbal sparring matches and he didn’t wanna listen to the gloating and Four’s amused teasing.”
You raise an eyebrow, also amused, but you don’t comment on it. Wild, demonstrating an impressive mixture of situational awareness and utter lack of tact, runs up and lightly slaps the veteran on the shoulder. The champion shouts “Legend’s it!” and runs away at top speed. The traveller follows suit. Both you and Legend stand where you are for a few seconds.
You’re just surprised and confused, but Legend’s brain is running at a million miles a minute as he tries to decide what he should do. As soon as you process what’s happened though, your stance changes. You’re ready to run, but you aren’t scared. You lock eyes with him for a spit second, clearly expecting him to play. So he does. Five seconds after he’d been declared “it,” he runs toward you. He’s not going his top speed, but it gets his intentions across. You shriek in delight and sprint away from him, laughing as you go.
——
The veteran then spends the next hour or so running around and playing tag with you, the traveller, and the champion. The vet doesn’t laugh as freely as the three of you do, but he’s smiling the whole time and very clearly having fun. The four of you walk back to camp together in time for Wild to make dinner, tired and happy.
Wars willingly covers Legend’s alibi, and any Links who might be inclined to accidentally spill that particular can of worms (wind) are promptly distracted with Wild asking for help making dinner. Much to Legend’s relief, and the amusement of every other Link present, you remain blissfully unaware of the real reason Legend was in the woods that day.
——
The next time you try to sneak off with Wild and Hyrule, your trio becomes a quartet as Legend leaves as part of your group rather than a shadow. Sky and Time catch Legend’s eye separately as he leaves. The former is beaming, eyes twinkling with pride and amusement. The eyes of the latter are knowing, with a glint that promises teasing and somewhat-helpful, cryptic half-advice later.
——
Legend joining you becomes routine. He still doesn’t loosen up entirely. He can’t help it, he’s worried about you rejecting him if you get too close. However, you don’t seem to mind if he wants to keep his secrets. Although you’re very clearly toning up your silliness now that he’s around. You’re trying to make him laugh and he’s touched, if hesitant.
——
One day the veteran goes to collect firewood shortly before y’all leave. He says he’ll catch up and not to wait on him. So you don’t. After an hour and a half, you’re really worried: Legend still hasn’t shown. You, Hyrule, and Wild decide to split up and look for him. You’re walking through the woods and calling for him when you stop in your tracks suddenly as you hear him call back to you weakly.
“I hear you! I’m coming!” You take off running in the direction of the sound.
——
You find a large, pink rabbit dressed in Legend’s tunic stuck in a hunting trap. It’s in a position that looks really uncomfortable, and you’re a little worried the blood might be slowly rushing to its head based on the slight tilt he was caught at — rabbits are fragile.
“Vet?” You ask as you cautiously approach the cage.
Internally, Legend is panicking. He never wanted you to see this helpless form. Never wanted you to know this side to him. Never wanted to have to worry about if you’d accept him — of if you’d cause him harm if you didn’t. But he has no choice. He needs your help. The rabbit swallows, “…Yeah, it’s me.”
You don’t even know why you’re surprised anymore as you finish making your way over to the trap and start fiddling with the locks. “Okay. Im gonna get you out of there. Are you hurt?”
You’re speaking quickly, obviously worried, but you aren’t screaming. You aren’t running in terror or looking at him like he’s an abomination. You’re looking at him with concern and affection, but not pity. You didn’t even ask how or why he’s a rabbit, you’re too worried about his well-being. It’s almost too much for him to take. He very nearly starts to cry. He never expected this, but he should have. That’s just the kind of person you are. It’s part of why he loves you so much.
“Not really?” He replies, he doesn’t sound like he’s okay and he knows it. “I’ve been here a while so there’s too much blood in my head and I think I sprained my ankle when I got caught.” You hiss and work more quickly, grabbing your weapon and — after giving the bunny hero a verbal warning — break open the cage. You catch the roof of it before it can fall on him and cut the ropes inside that are holding him in that unsafe position.
The next thing Legend knows, you’ve scooped him up ever-so-gently in your arms. You hold him over your shoulder like a baby, careful to support his spine. “Just let me know when your blood goes back where it’s supposed to be.” He manages a half-nod as you carefully pour one of your topical-application potions over his injured foot, dissipating the pain instantly.
And then you’re petting him. Oh goddesses, you’re petting him. A few minutes ago he’d been convinced he’d die in that cage, but then you came. You broke him free, you’re holding him as he feels the blood slowly drain back into the rest of his body, and you’re stroking him from the tip of his head all the way down his back. He can scarcely remember the last time he felt so safe and cared for. He wants to be embarrassed but he just doesn’t have the strength. Instead, he allows a couple grateful, relieved tears to escape. It’s not like you’ll notice, anyway: they’ll just get caught in his fur.
“You know, my cat did this to himself once.” You start talking as you pet him. Are you trying to distract him? If so, it’s working. He always listens when you talk.
“He’s so silly. He laid down on a pillow but his head fell off and onto the floor. He looked unhappy but didn’t know what to do about it. I picked him up just like this and held him until he started to feel better. Then he was purring.” You chuckle to yourself, “poor baby probably had all the blood in his head, too.” You proceed to tell him a couple other silly stories until he feels better.
He purposefully waits until you finish the story you’re telling to let you know that he feels better. It might have been selfish, but he wanted another minute in your arms, feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you spoke and your hands in his fur.
——
The veteran was a lot more open with you after the incident. It’s almost like he realized he didn’t have to hide from you as much as he thought. He laughs more and taken to slinging an arm around you whenever you walk within arm’s reach on the trail. He elbows you playfully while he teases and sits near you at meals as often as you’ll let him get away with.
What strikes you as interesting, though, is the way he seems to be constantly checking if you’re watching him. Whenever he spars with one of the others or does something particularly impressive in a monster fight, he glances toward you for approval. Even more interesting is that he seems to be showing off a little more when he knows you’re watching.
You’re oblivious, but you’re far from a fool. You’ve known for a while that he’s got a soft spot for you, but now you’re wondering if that might be because he’s into you. You decide to test the boundaries of what he’ll let you get away with and find out.
——
He’s shockingly lenient with you. He pretty much just lets you do as you please. Case in point: you’ve just finished dinner, but instead of getting up and going to your bedroll you’ve inched closer and laid your head on his shoulder. His response? A lot of blushing and he won’t look at you, but he’s also he‘s wrapped an arm securely around your shoulders and pulled you closer. You decide to confront him and make your own feelings known. You have a plan, but it’s dependent on your internal clock so you’re not sure if it’ll work.
——
You stir and blink awake in the middle of the night. The veteran is on watch. You mentally congratulate yourself as he carefully picks his way over to you to check on you.
“I’m okay.” You reassure him when you notice the concern on his face, “just… awake now, I guess. Can I sit with you?”
Legend nods, “you can always sit with me, you know that.” He speaks softly to avoid waking the others, but there’s something about the sound of it that makes your heart go all fluttery. You can’t help but wonder if he did that on purpose. You sit beside him on the log and lean on him like you had earlier. Just like earlier, he gets flustered, but he wraps an arm around you. Although it’s hard to tell between the dark and the way he’s turned away from you, you can see his entire face light up in a small — but genuine — smile.
After a long moment, you break the silence. “Have I ever told you that I love your laugh? Or that your smile reminds me of sunshine?” Much to your amusement, he immediately begins spluttering. You can’t see his face from your position and his stubborn refusal to look at you, but you can hear the bright smile in his voice when he replies, “no, but it’s nice to know. I appreciate the compliment.” You choose not to comment on the way his voice cracks. You’ve got bigger fish to fry.
“Oh really? I haven’t? Well, I’ve always thought so. But that makes me wonder what else you don’t know I’ve been thinking.”
He raises an eyebrow in response to that, “well I suppose I wouldn’t know the answer to that.”
You chuckle, “no, I suppose not. But let’s find out. Do you know that I’m in love with you?”
He freezes up. For once in his life, his brain goes silent — there’s not a single thought in his head. He’s grown up in a world that requires constant quick-thinking; he prides himself on his reaction time because it’s frequently the only thing that keeps him alive. But now his ambient subconscious thoughts — surroundings awareness, awareness of your body language, the passage of time, that sort of thing — is all gone. The silence is unnerving.
“What?” He manages dumbly after six seconds (you were counting, not him).
You smile, patient but nervous, “I love you, Link.”
And now you’ve used the name. His name. The one nobody’s called him in months. It should have made the problem worse. It really should have. But, somehow, the use of his proper name kicks him back into high gear. An unfortunate, for him, side effect of that is the rapid formation of a deep blush as his brain demands more oxygen and nutrients to start up again.
“I- I. Shit.” He starts to tear up, “are-are- are you serious? Me?”
You nod once, speaking in a cautious and almost sad tone, “is that so hard to believe?”
He swallows, “yes.” He moves his hands to your shoulders and pulls you to his chest abruptly in a hug that’s somehow both desperately tight and carefully gentle at the same time.
“Yes it is. Because I didn’t think I could ever get so lucky.” You can feel his tears beginning to soak through the sleeve of your shirt, but you don’t care.
“I think we’re both lucky.” You start to gently caress his hair, prompting him to haphazardly toss his hat onto the ground in order to encourage you.
You two spend the rest of his watch like that, just holding each other and relishing the closeness. Eventually you wake Wild for the next watch, and he may or may not have photos of the two of you cuddling together as you fall asleep — neither ready nor willing to let go of the other.

I KNEW YOU SAID IT WOULD BE LONG BUT I'M SURPRISED THE BOX WAS ABLE TO FIT ALL OF THIS IN. OH MY GOD
I had to think about the way he trapped for a second because it was a little vague but I assumed he was upside down in a cage... somehow... and a little bloody.
I realized that I should have been probably typing as I go because there's so much right around the point that Reader had woken up in the middle of the night.
Also- love that Legend is even more obvious afterwards. He's not even trying to be subtle.... if he was anyway. Because now Reader's caught on- Nevermind, Reader (like Wild (loved that line)) is just as tactless. XD
YOU WERE COUNTING NOT HIM
GLITTER YOU'RE KILLING ME!
ok, that was a cute ending. I know you said you got lazy but it was very sweet and soft.

Febuwhump day 14: blood-stained tiles
Whumpee: Twilight
Whump Rating: 3/10
TWs: blood & injury
Twilight landed with a huff of breath, sitting up with a grimace. They had landed in a strange room, empty save for six pots, three on each side. They had all fallen upon arrival, with the Vet and the rancher recovering quickest.
Legend scowled. “Mine,” he claimed, narrowing his eyes as he scanned the room. “Desert dungeon.”
“I guess there are worse places to land,” Twilight mused, pushing himself to his feet.
Legend’s eyes widened, reaching a hand out to the rancher. “Wait, don't-”
Twilight stood, frowning at Legend in confusion. From behind, he heard a strange sound, like air whipping around. In the split second of time, he turned to look, only to be smacked in the forehead with a flying tile instantly.
Wild shouted in alarm, scrambling to stand before Legend yanked him back.
“Everybody stay down!” He hissed, pressing his body against the floor. The others followed his lead, despite their confusion and worry for Twilight. “If you stand, the tiles come off and fly at you.”
Wild frowned, glancing at the floor beneath him. “What do we do?”
Legend took a deep breath, placing a hand on his sword. “I'll take care of it. I want everyone to move toward the walls and stay down,” he directed, sending his brothers to the edges of the room. The Vet gritted his teeth, sneaking along the floor to grab onto Twilight. The rancher was unconscious, a bloody tile shattered into tiny pieces beside him.
Legend dragged Twilight toward the wall, getting him as close to safety as possible before backing off. “Everybody be on your guard!” He warned, scowling as he stood up. With the start of that oh-so-familiar whirling sound, Legend took shelter in the doorway, guarding with his sword and a strange cane. He waved the cane, creating a colorful block in front of him. Tiles picked themselves off the ground, spinning in place before whipping toward him, shattering upon contact with Legend’s strange block.
“What the fuck is happening?!” Wind shouted, protecting his head with his arms. “What is this?!”
“Flying tiles!” Legend replied, grunting as a tile smacked his sword from the side, catching him off-guard. The next tile came at him, cracking when the Vet’s sword split it in two. “Once all the central tiles are broken, it’s over!”
Wild glanced nervously between Legend, smashing through tiles, and Twilight, who was lying still by the opposite wall. The tile that had hit him in the head was still on the ground, smashed to pieces from the force of impact with the rancher’s skull. Wild could see the red blood stains on the broken pieces, wishing he could help.
Legend grunted, baring his teeth as the tiles picked up speed. They were relentless, one after the other in rapid succession. Each tile slammed into his block or his sword, breaking into pieces as the next one came flying. The Veteran managed not to get hit, thankfully, and soon enough the last tile was shattered. The door behind Legend unlocked, and the strange block was disintegrated as the Vet sheathed his sword.
That was enough cue for Wild to get up, scrambling across the now tileless floor to check on Twilight. He moved the rancher onto his back, examining the bloody wound.
Legend approached from behind, frowning. “Those tiles really pack a punch,” he murmured, grimacing. “Head injuries are the worst, but he’ll be fine with a little healing.”
“Healing?” Hyrule repeated, raising his hands up to his chest. “I can take a look.”
The traveler crouched down beside Wild, gently prodding around the injury. Twilight groaned– he was somewhat conscious, at least– and scrunched up his face at the light touch.
Hyrule cringed. “Sorry, Twi,” he murmured, casting his Life spell. The wound closed up smoothly, the only evidence that it was ever there at all being the blood stains on broken tiles.
“Twi? Are you with us?” Wild asked nervously, grabbing the rancher’s tunic.
Twilight groaned, waving a hand as he blinked slowly. “I’m alright, I’m alright…” He sat up with Wild’s help, holding a hand to his head before checking for blood. “What happened?”
“Tile trap,” Legend answered gruffly, wrinkling his nose. “Caught ya right in the forehead.”
The rancher hummed, nodding. He glanced at Wild, then at Hyrule, both watching him with apprehension. Twilight cracked a smile, knocking a hand against his temple. “Well, good thing I’ve got a thick skull, then, huh?”
Wild jumped into his arms, hugging Twilight tightly. “That’s my line,” he mumbled, laughing. “I’m glad you’re okay.”
“Yeah…” The Veteran sighed, frowning. “We’ve got to be careful in this dungeon. There’s a lot of hidden traps and surprises around here.” He offered a hand to Twilight, still frowning as he helped the rancher up. “I can get us out, but everyone needs to be on their guard.”
Twilight nodded. “You’re in charge, then. Get us out of here.”

HEADCANON COMPILATION: GENERAL TIMELINE (POST-OOT TO TP)
i was going through my headcanons tag on this blog   &   decided to compile/expand on what i had previously written regarding post-oot. surprisingly enough, these headcanons from 2019-ish still hold up to my interpretation of link. the details might change in the future, of course.
* NOTE: if you write any of the characters i mention (ie. oot zelda, ganondorf), you don't have to adhere to anything i bring up. these are my personal thoughts. i'm 100% cool with adapting to different interpretations of how everything plays out. that's the beauty of rping, don't you think? ^^
after being returned to the past by princess zelda, link sneaks past the guards to hyrule castle's courtyard. there, he meets the young zelda. for her, this might be their first time meeting. for him, it's the past repeating itself... but now, there's no fairy by his side, and link is more mature than he used to be.
link does everything he can to warn the royal family   &   expose ganondorf's true intentions. the terrible future he experienced won't repeat itself  —  not if link can help it.
he stays for a while. he spends time with the princess and reconnects with familiar faces... or, at least, link attempts to; they don't know him in this timeline. (that realization hits him hard.) all the while, the young hero searches for any signs of navi. epona becomes his steed once more during this time.
eventually, the search leads him to the land of termina. it's surreal to see familiar faces, except none of them are the same as their hyrulean counterparts. link gets cursed; he helps people, clears temples, collects masks... three days repeat over and over again until he awakens the giants   &   defeats majora with tatl the fairy by his side.
once again, it's just link and epona on the road. but why does tatl's absence hurt despite knowing it wouldn't last?
link resumes his travels and helps those in need. every now and then, he is back in his homeland with peculiar-looking masks in his possession. link keeps growing in height (one day, he notices he's seventeen again); his equipment changes. some days, he looks haunted.
the day ganondorf's execution goes terrible wrong, the triforce of courage burns on the back of his left hand.   &   all link feels is dread: it's still not over.
it takes years until he (reluctantly) gives up on his search. after accepting the offer of becoming a royal knight, he seems to settle down. (alternatively: he enlists and rises through the ranks as a competent swordsman.)
now, onto the depressing part of this, which i'm placing under read more. cw: death + a non-graphic mention of injury and eye trauma.
link's death isn't peaceful. it doesn't come to him in his sleep, no; it comes to him on the battlefield. the hero succumbs to his injuries and blood loss sometime after he pierces the enemy general's heart. the battle is won, but link is no more.
the loss of his right eye   &   the stab in his gut count among those injuries.
his death leaves an unborn child fatherless. the teachings of the old aren't passed down until much, much later; the hero of time becomes a spirit burdened by his regrets, a shade of his former self.
they bury him in hyrule. the exact location of his grave is lost to the sands of time. but some say he might have been granted a final resting place on the castle grounds...

20 Time did get night watch alone once and never again because he wore the All Night mask "to male sure" and anyone unfortunate enough to wake up that night couldn't go back to sleep. / Time is still the tallest of the bunch. / Time drops some names of his (sadly former) friends. Legend... gets a sneaking suspicion he can't shake. / Malon fails to hide her disappointment that she isn't ALONE with Link in time. Time has to wrestle three of the guys to stop the teasing that night.
Even Sky couldn't fall asleep after getting a glimpse of the All Night Mask. Time is also a liberal user of the Great Fairy Mask after fights to get help for anyone's injuries, something both Wars and Hyrule do not particularly enjoy but don't have a good enough reason to tell him to stop
Malon comes running out when she hears Epona and Link, then stops and flushes when she sees they aren't alone. She says there's an awful lot of them, maybe they could find a bigger room in Castletown, but then Time says he'd have to stay with them and he really wanted to visit her, and she changes her mind. They can find room for all of them, if they don't mind helping her with some chores first. They're all given their own, except Time, whom she intends to catch up with, except Wind now knows how Aryll feels when an older sibling is given different treatment, and demands to know what Time's chore is. Legend, feeling like chosing violence that day totally not as a distraction from thinking about Marin, asks yeah, what is Time helping Malon with, exactly?
Wind and Legend get tackled by their tallest brother. Hyrule distracts Malon by asking about the fairies, and Wars orders everyone else to get on to their work.

Another random BUT kind of cute linked universe au.  Introducing Link as the prince and the pauper.
Staring Wind as the main role of the Prince and Spirit as the main role of the pauper.
Once upon a time in a kingdom long ago their was a King (Time) and a Queen (Malon) and their eight sons Sky, Warrior, Twilight, Wild, Legend, Hyrule, Four, and their youngest Wind. However the day Wind was born the universe did something quite strange. A identical looking child to the prince was born to a lower class family, minutes before him. Neither boy knew of each others existence until after their 14th birthday.
 You guys get the idea.
Wind is a prince who is trying his best to be of help his family, however despite his best efforts he feels like a complete screw up who can never do anything right, unlike he’s perfect older brothers. So when advisor Cole suggest that the young prince be set up in a arranged marriage to the princess of the phantom kingdom. He holds his tongue, he does not want to marry her, however it be four years until the marriage so maybe he could learn to love her? If he was honest with his family, what he really wants to do is run away with is bestfriend Tetra (Who is his body guard/tutor) and sail the high seas. However his people come first.
Spirit, is a indentured servant, who is forced to work hours upon hours to repay his parents debt, as a engineer/mechanic, building robots that he thinks are to dangerous. Guardians as the rich nobles call them. He would honestly rather be anywhere but there, however trains sure have caught his eye, and he really likes playing his flute.
How Wind and Spirit would meet is very similar to the movie, Wind sneaks out with Tetra to see the town. By chance they stumble upon one another and are quite confused.  “I HAVE ANOTHER BROTHER! WHY DID MOM AND DAD NEVER TELL ME ABOUT YOU!” “I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!” After that they would hit it off. Tetra would join them, dumbfounded by their similarities, only biggest difference is Spirit has freckles. Soon though Warrior would come looking for his youngest brother and Wind would slip spirit a pirates charm so they could talk later.
Warrior would drag Wind back to the palace, and not meaning to, he say some fairly harsh words towards wind. “Why can’t you just do as your told! The kingdom needs a prince that will help it, not one who go’s running off!” “I AM HELPING THE KINGDOM!” “WHEN HAVE YOU EVER HELPED IT!” Something like that, something triggering enough to have wind dart to his room and isolate himself from everyone even Tetra. Warrior would regret what he said. As captain of the royal guards and armies he’s under a lot of stress, and the soon arrival of the princess has got him even more frazzled.
This is when advisor cole would start his evil plan. Kidnapping Wind, and killing him to cause the kingdoms to go to war. Kidnapping him goes relatively easy, and he takes the prince to a hidden cabin in the woods. He’ll keep him alive for now, he needs to make it look convincing.
Only problem is Cole did not account for the literal doppelganger in town! Who some guards find and are like “Oh prince thank goodness.” “I’m sorry what!” “Let’s get you back to the palace. You look awful.” “Rude these are my normal clothes.” They still drag him back to the palace where winds family, because of how relived they are ,just assumed its him. Spirit gets a very lengthy apology from Warrior that was meant for wind, and poor spirit is just. “Um thank you but there is a huge misunderstanding, I’m not the prince.” “Oh my gosh he’s lost his memory.”
Only two people who know it’s not wind our Wild and Tetra, Tetra knows because she met spirit. Wild know because like DETAILS. Sadly no one believes them. So its up two the three of them to find Wind. Spirit agrees to play the part, and help with the princess situation (Cough who when he does meet he falls head over heels for and is agonized by the fact he will have to let he go cough).
While Wild and Tetra search for Wind, they do find a lead but tetra is forced to go in alone because wild’s prince duties. She will find Wind, who has been starved and abused. Despite Tetra’s best efforts, she will get captured to and both would be taken to mine to be hunted down by a guardian.
Cole would come back around and claim, spirit is a imposter which he just respond with, “Yeah I said that from the beginning, but how would you know! Unless you had confirmation about the prince.” Which would put all of boys up in arms, and they finally realize wait oh m gosh Spirit isn’t their little brother.
Now I can see this ending in two ways. One Tetra and Wind make it out all on their own and come into the room dramatically despite their bad injuries.
OR
The royals and Spirit very aggressively integrate cole, and he pulls a, “You’re probably to late. The guardian most likely all ready tore them to shreds.” Which in turn would cause Warrior to knock his lights out, and all of them head over to the mines.
Where Wind and Tetra are about to be blown to bits, but spirit is able to save them because “I built that.”
So yes happy ending, all around, and the royals adopt Spirit into the family, and he takes on the arranged marriage, and low and behold her kingdom has trains. Wind also gets to fulfil his dream of sailing off with Tetra, for the benefit of the kingdom and creating better trading partners.
So yes, wanted to make this into a fic, however I HAVE NO TIME! If someone else wants to make this into a fic for some reason, I give you my blessing just let me know! Anyways thanks for reading.
Now how about Link as the twelve dancing princes?
