I need more people to include Ravio being a weaponsmith (thanks to the person who told me about this term) and furthermore, that boy makes magic infused weapons, I repeat, MAGIC infused weapons, which has to mean he has some sort of magic himself and I'm very enthralled by that concept, particularly I think Lorulean (lolian?) magic is likely a kind of shadow magic and I think sheerow must just be attuned to it and that's why he finds it so easily when you go game over, but also, I like the possibility that Ravio, knowing magic, just put a sort of location spell on his weapons so he wouldn't lose track of them and could make sure they were returned.

This has potential for fics if we consider Legend is a hoarder, has a gazillion artefacts he probably doesn't even know how they fully work and Ravio just probably loves figuring out the magic properties of each. I also head canon that Legend has no clue how to actually channel his magic outside if using magic artefacts while Ravio just casually knows every intricacy of his own magic and has likely figured how Legend's works, he just hasn't told him because he's convinced Legend knows how his light magic works.

Like, this is aside from that, I know we joke a lot as a fandom about Ravio's scammer tendencies and his love of rupees, and some people think it clashes with the selflessness he exhibits in his decisions to leave Lorule not knowing what was ahead to find a hero just to help Hilda and Lorule, personally I think considering the state of Lorule that Ravio might come from poverty and seeing as the kingdom is fully in shambles that boy had to learn how to steal, scam and do his own thing to get money (weapons), which the whole magic weapon thing might've been what got him to work for the crown of Lorule, he probably is like this due to economic instability in his country and as a child.

I always really like the headcanon of Ravio knowing how to do a little bit of magic and actually making some of the things he sells himself, but they're actually doing some work on Legend's sword here! Ravio isn't quite sure if Legend's reading the instructions right though...

My little guys.

I’ve been talking a lot about Ravio and Legend recently! But can you blame me?? I imagine this as Ravio’s first time going back to the ocean. He was nervous, but Legend promised to stay with him. And guess what? They were safe! Mer are supposed to live in the ocean. They have to soak three times a week just to keep themselves alive when they’re on land- and that’s to stay alive, not necessarily comfortable. It’s probably such a relief for Ravio to be back underwater after all this time. And Legend, but he’s more focused on… other things at the moment.

Ravio’s in awe of the ocean, his heart singing with joy to be home, amazed by the scenery. And Legend stays close, keeping his promise, and is just SO PROUD of him.

Ravio : We already are.

Legend : no, I mean ,we divorce, that's like 300 rupees, then we remarry, and people offer us money and things and we get to have tax benefits again.

Ravio : You learn well, little bunny.

“MISTER HERO, YOU ARE A RABBIT???” Ravio’s shout was so loud that Link was sure all of Hyrule had heard him.

“No, Rav, I’m not. It’s just a form like any other.”

“Mister Hero, I don’t think you understand the implications of what you just told me,” the merchant said in a strangely calm voice. “You have the ability to transform into the most beautiful creature that can exist in this world… and I request you to show me.” Even without looking, Link could feel Ravio’s green eyes staring at him.

“First of all, I don’t have to show you anything if I don’t want to. Second, it’s not like I can. Unless you can bring enough darkness to my soul to make me transform, you’ll have to settle for my Hylian form.” Ravio continued to stare at him, but at least he stopped talking. Link put away the blade he had been preparing and decided to clean the old mirror that started this all mess of a conversation.

“When you come back from your missions, you smell really bad,” Ravio blurted out.

Link stopped rubbing the mirror to turn around and face the other man. Ravio looked at him, and after a short silence, continued his rambling: “I don’t like that you don’t let me sell items that you don’t use anyway, and your bees are ugly and disgusting and scary. We could just buy honey instead of having them at home all the time. You have really weird tastes in decoration, you look bad in the morning, your breath smells like old underwear when you drink coffee. Also, if I had to choose between you and Sherrow, I would choose Sherrow instead of you and—”

“What is happening right now?” Link asked, looking at Ravio with a confused gaze.

“Well… I was trying to bring darkness to your soul, but it’s not working. Maybe I should continue a little more?” Ravio replied, staring at Link’s ears as if he expected them to transform at any moment.

“NO! No, no thank you.” Link took a moment to collect himself. “You… why would you think that? You know what? I don’t want to know how you came to that conclusion. I was talking about dark magic, not making me feel bad about myself, Rav.”

Two giant emerald eyes looked at him before Ravio jumped on him and pulled him into an embrace. “Oh sweet Lolia, I am so, so, so sorry, Mister Hero! That was very petty of me. I didn’t mean to make you feel bad, I promise! Will you ever forgive me? If you want, I can sell you the ice rod you want for the small price of 600 rupees to show you how sorry I am.”

Link let Ravio calm himself in his arms, pondering his words. “Why did you say that to me? You know me better than anyone. If you thought making me feel bad was the solution, why talk about my tastes in decoration and not my adventures or something like that?”

“That would have been mean, Mister Hero, it’s not polite to talk about something that someone cannot change.” Ravio said, looking at him as if he were the weird one.

Link just laughed before burying his face in the Lorulian’s hair. He smelled like apples today, which meant he had stolen Link’s shampoo again. Link would take care of that later; for now, he was planning on enjoying a well-deserved nap in his lover arms. Maybe he could ask the rancher to give him his stange crystal for an hour at two so he could show Rav his rabbit form. He wouldn’t be against somme rub on the back of his ears.

Also did you know that in French his name is Lavio ? And it makes a lot more sense dans Ravio but honestly Lavio just feels wrong

Do you know of a Ravio/Legend fic where Legend's era is homophobic (its against the law, Fable's working on it) but Legend doesn't tell the others that, and so Warriors or Twilight make a joke about Legend and Ravio being "roommates" only for Legend to freak out and have to explain that no, he's not being prickly about emotions, he's trying to keep Ravio safe for when Legend is called away on quests!

I've tried to find something like this on my own, but haven't had the best luck.

Linktober 2024 Day 31: Free for All

Nothing like a few bandages and a whole lot of kisses to help Ravio’s Mr. Hero recover after a scuffle with some monsters!

It’s arrived, the final day (dun dun). We’ve officially made it y’all, the end of Linktober for this year and I thought what better way to celebrate it than bringing things full circle with some more Ravioli art!! I’m honestly really surprised at how much I’ve been able to get done this month, and that I’ve finished on time for all of these pieces (for my time zone at least), because I wasn’t even sure if I was going to do all of the prompts. Some of them were a bit difficult to think of ideas for but I’m proud of everything that I’ve made! Naturally some pieces turned out better than others and I did have to simplify or downscale some of my initial ideas for certain prompts, but the fact that I actually managed to make 31 unique pieces is so impressive to me and I’m amazed with myself for persevering!

Also speaking of recovering, I’m going to be taking at least a few days break from drawing because my hand has started hurting a bit, but hopefully I can keep working on some more stuff soon, there are a lot of things I want to make! In the meantime, I might actually try to work on some of the fic ideas that I have (because yes, I’m also a fanfic writer :D) and see if I can get any of those posted

It was a bit intimidating to join a new fandom on here, especially one as popular as the Zelda series, so I just wanted to thank all of you that have been liking, reblogging, and commenting on the art I’ve been putting out as well as those of you who’ve started following me, and just overall being so kind and supportive.
