“It is, but I mostly do research,” Jenn smiles. “I heard about this place and came here shortly after I got my job. Celebrated with a drink. Husk is a great bartender, and I know he looks out for his patrons.”

Jenn approaches the bar, ready to start her weekend. She's been rather busy with her work in the R&D department at VoxTek as well as helping souls out on her way to becoming an overlord. She's still far from the mark that would consider her one, but that doesn't make it any less exhausting.

"Hi, Husk," she smiles as she takes a seat.

"Hey, kid," Husk greets. "Here for your usual?"

He already is prepping the whiskey neat Jenn has been ordering since day one of coming here.

I love the symbolism in this scene. Whilst both Husk and Angel are bound and trapped by their contracts, Angel has a more messy and enveloping commitment to Valentino with some flexibility all around (being able to stay at the hotel and so on) whereas Husk is more tightly bound and his bindings are concentrated showing how Alastor has made a cleaner deal, yet Husk cannot get out of being a bartender at the hotel.
