Since I just ordered two for my sister as a care package kind of gift—when I had my outpatient back surgery, the only things I took with me were my phone and an almond Hurraw lip balm. (Scroll down, all the products are on one page.) They are really, really good (and vegan, if that’s a plus for you). I’ve tried a ton of them over the last ten years and I always keep one in my pocket; absolute favorites are the vanilla bean and the cherry & lemon. Best texture I’ve ever seen (felt?) in a lip balm, only $4-5 USD.

Hurraw!Balm –

Hurraw!Balm

finally opened another of my several new hurraw balms, lime, and it’s fucking delightful. tastes like ACTUAL lime, NOT SWEET, just scrumptious. and it’s not an annoying overpowering scent either, not that they have any that are like that. and amazing formula, as always. ugh i almost forgive them for the catastrophe that is sun

the hurraw lip balm is literally the best lip balm i've ever had.... i wouldn't be surprised if they're owned by a cult.

Combination Skincare Routine: Night
It’s been a hot minute since I posted but here’s my nighttime routine! I’ll link my morning routine here :) check it out if you want a more detailed analysis of my neutrogena cleanser + moisturiser & toner.
My nighttime routine is pretty similar to my morning routine but I do my other weekly products (masks) at night too.
Cleanser: Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser
Like I said in my morning routine post, this cleanser is great for combo skin and with continuous I have noticed a reduction in the amount of comedones (little bumps) on my forehead.
Cleanser #2: Lush - Angels on Bare Skin Fresh Cleanser
That’s right, I cleanse my face twice at night (and it’s not the usual double cleansing you’ve probably heard of which is using a cleansing oil and then another more water based cleanser). Double cleansing is mainly used by people who wear makeup (which I do not). I do however go to uni everyday and my uni is in the city. The city is very, very, very dirty lol. So I like the feeling of cleansing twice. I’ve just bought the Frank Body Cream Cleanser so I am considering swapping this Lush one for the Frank’s one.
Toner: Pixi Glow Tonic
So I bought this after hearing a bunch of good stuff. It has 5% glycolic acid making it a (chemical) exfoliating toner. It says that it should help all skin types and give skin a natural ‘glow’. I haven’t really noticed this ‘glow’ BUT I do love this because it has helped to control my oily T-zone (i’m pretty sure it was this toner because I introduced this later into my skincare routine and it was then my skin became less oily)
put a couple drops into my hands and rub them together
pat that toner onto my face (AVOIDING THE EYES, I also avoid my lips)
put some on your neck as well
i also do some gentle slapping lol
Moisturiser: Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser SPF15
I used to use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser for combination skin but it had the exact same effects as the SPF15 one (which is great) so I usually just end up buying and using the SPF15 one at night too.
Lip Balm: Hurraw Chocolate
This stuff smells sooooo good, like it’s incredible. It is a strong smell so that may turn some people off, but for me it’s great. It goes on very smooth and it is a clear balm with no tint or cast whatsoever (unlike the sun balm which I use in my morning routine). This chocolate balm is also a thinner consistency than the sun balm which gives it a much more lightweight feel.
Other:
Lip Scrub: Lush Mint Julips
This smells delicious!!! and it leaves my lips super smooth (but I’m pretty sure all sugar lip scrubs will do the same). I only use this lip scrub 2 times a week but if I feel like my lips are flaking a bit more than usual (this happens during the winter/colder months) then I’ll do it whenever necessary.
put a bit of the scrub on my finger and place it on my lips
using a finger, rub it over, buffing away any dead skin
it says you can eat it but I don’t so i just rinse it off with a bit of water
Masks: Freeman’s Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask + Freeman’s Pink Salt Clay Mask
I use each one of these masks once a week (that means I do 2 masks per week). I use the honey mask on a monday night and the pink salt mask on a thursday night. I use the masks after both my cleansers but before my toner and moisturiser. I keep the masks on for 5 mins which is shorter than what the tube says. I would recommend buying a sample size of these masks and trying them out to see if you like them/don’t have any bad reactions. They’re pretty cheap and I got 5 uses out of my manuka honey sample!!!
The honey mask is much more mild and goes on like a lotion. It is also marketed as a cleanser (i’ve never used it as one). It is also directed towards people with oily/breakout skin and I do feel like it leaves my skin less oily but still hydrated!
The pink salt mask is a physical exfoliant as well as being a mask. It is also mildly itchy. I have read some reviews which say that the itchiness was unbearable, however each person reacts differently so that’s why I suggest grabbing a sample before you buy the whole tube.
for both masks I apply them with my hands making sure to avoid my eyes and lips
I leave them on for 5 minutes (the pink clay says to leave it on from 7-10 minutes and the honey one says to leave it for 3-5 but no longer than 10 minutes)
I find 5 minutes is the best time as it gives them time to act and dry up without getting uncomfortable or too dry
So that’s my nighttime routine!!! Hope this helped anyone reading. As always slide into my asks/dms if you have any questions :)

Surprising find @healthyoptionsph. I initially wanted to try Hurraw but ordering online was a dealbreaker. I have dry lips, and no matter how much water I drink it’s always cracked. Apperently licking them, as I always do, makes them even drier. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’ve put off buying a lip balm for awhile since I couldn’t find a #vegan one. Then I saw this pretty little thing sitting on the shelf. ❤️ #alwayschoosecrueltyfree https://www.instagram.com/p/B0SKhYLHOZP/?igshid=myeg4v6tbg15

SPF Lip Balms
I’ve known someone who got skin cancer on his lip because he never protected his lips from the sun, so in recent years I’ve been trying to use SPF lip balms for the summer. The only problem is that most drugstore SPF lip balms leave me feeling like I licked the inside of a sunscreen bottle.
I know some people’s tongues aren’t as sensitive to the active ingredients used in these lip balms and they don’t care what they use as long as it’s SPF. For everyone else, here’s my current list of SPF lip balms that don’t taste like ass.
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25: The real winner for me. It doesn’t taste bitter and comes in lots of nice flavors. If you want something flavorless, your best bet is the Shea Butter lip balm. It smells like generic cereal at first, but eventually that scent fades away until you hardly notice it. They also have a Natural Mint flavor with that menthol tingle for when your lips need soothing.
Ocean Potion Suncare Moisturizing Lip Potion SPF 45: This one comes in a nice vanilla orange flavor that smells like a Creamsicle. Unfortunately, there is a faint taste of sunscreen that surfaces after a while, but it’s easy to ignore compared to, say, Banana Boat or Hawaiian Tropic.
Hurraw! Sun Protection Lip Balm SPF 15: This has a nice tangerine chamomile scent that’s very gentle. However, its texture is a bit thicker than most lip balms and might turn some people off.

Do you like Hurraw lip balms?
Never tried them, but they look beautiful! They use oils in addition to waxes, so they look like the kind of lip balm I would recommend.

the róen quad in 75 degrees i treated myself to after finishing my ba thesis is the best makeup purchase of my life. it does the messy slept in grungy makeup, 20s glam makeup and my daily fresh sparkly makeup so well. at this point i feel like the only makeup products i need are the róen quad, my clinique blush in topaz pop, the nyx serum concealer and the tinted hurraw lip balms. i'm not going to declutter all my other makeup but that is just how i feel right now.
