미얀마 중앙은행, 불법 환치기 Hundi 단속 지속
[애드쇼파르] 미얀마 중앙은행은 불법 환치기 Hundi를 지속적으로 단속하고 있다고 밝혔다.
그동안 행정관리부, 금융특별수사국, 미얀마 금융정보국으로 구성된 자금세탁방지 및 테러자금조달 근절 대책반과 함께 Hundi를 조사하고 환치기에 대한 인식 제고 캠페인을 실시하고 있었다고 한다.
또한 자금세탁방지 및 테러 자금 조달 방지 교육을 실시하고 국내외 송금 라이선스 신청에 대한 정보를 제공하였다.
2023년 12월 19일 현재, 14개 Hundi 업체에 대한 송금 라이선스를 발급하였다고 한다.
이후 내무부와 협력하여 은행 거래에 논쟁의 여지가 있는 Hundi 업체를 심문 조사후 기소를 하며 99명의 Hundi 운영자를 조사하여 20명이 법적 조치를 받았다고 한다.
