Honda Motor Co. is recalling close to 1.7 million vehicles due to a manufacturing issue that could make it difficult to steer the vehicles and lead to crashes. Honda reported the recall last week to government regulators, who issued the recall order on Tuesday. The safety recall order from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that the steering gearbox assembly may have been manufactured incorrectly, potentially causing “excessive internal friction” that could make the vehicle difficult to steer and increase the likelihood of a crash. The vehicles covered in the recall were from model years 2022 to 2025 and include certain Acura Integras, Honda Civics, Honda CR-Vs and Honda HR-Vs. The NHTSA announced an investigation of the problem back in March after it received 145 complaints from Honda Civic drivers that their steering could stick, forcing them to exert extra effort to turn the steering wheel. At the time of the original announcement earlier this year, the NHTSA said it had no reports of crashes or injuries from the problem. Tuesday’s order does not mention any accidents or injuries caused by the defect either.

Interview with Masahiro Hasemi who retired from active racing in the JGTC in 2000.
interview
I always want to run a race where I can see who's at the top. Otherwise, there's no point in doing it.
Masahiro Hasemi
Racing driver ●Masahiro Hasemi
There are many competitors
Competition for positions within Nissan
Was tough.
the year of 2000. In this millennium, Masahiro Hasemi announced his retirement from All Japan Championship racing.
Suzuka, where the final round of the All Japan GT Championship was held
-Kit's audience is a history of Japanese motorsports
Walking with history and remaining a top contender to the present day
A generous round of applause to the driver who has played an active role in
I gave you my hand. Hasemi's history in motorsports
The motor sports carrier is exactly the same as Nissan's motor sports history up to the present day. that genius racing
I asked the driver.
“I never thought I would run until I was old.
There wasn't. At the age of 15, he signed a contract with Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
He has been a racing driver for 35 years. When he had a busy vehicle development schedule, he was sometimes running on circuits over 200 days a year. I was actually aiming to become a two-wheel Grand Prix rider, but Honda stopped using Japanese riders, and that's when I saw a four-wheel Grand Prix race at Suzuka.
It was attractive because it had a large audience, was broadcast on TV, and offered a large amount of prize money. The following year, he auditioned and was contracted as a driver for Nissan's second team. However, unlike the first team in Oppama's development section, we belonged to Omori's advertising department and did machine maintenance ourselves along with the mechanics. The first army was able to ride the machines provided. However, we had to do everything ourselves, from machine tuning to settings. engine tuning
I also did bench tests myself. of course,
Someday I will defeat the guys from Oppama.
I was running with that feeling. I'm in charge of Blue Bird, Cedric, and Fairlady. Eventually, when Nissan merged with Prince and the drivers who had been under contract with Prince joined, there were already many competitors and competition for position within Nissan became very difficult (lol).
Eventually, for about two years starting in 1968, Hasemi participated in Grand Prix races in sports cars such as Lola and Porsche as a private activity. Afterwards, he was welcomed back to Nissan's Oppama Works.
``As a manufacturer, we developed parts for people who wanted to race, and we developed machines that would compete in the World Rally Championship, which Nissan was focusing on at the time.Even when we were two-wheelers, we were good at motocross, so we decided to move on to four-wheeled cars. But I was confident that I was faster than anyone else on dirt, and that I wouldn't damage the machine. The 240Z, which took third place in the Monte Carlo Rally, and the 510 and PA10, which were active in the Safari Rally, were all tested by me before they went overseas. The day after racing at the circuit, I raced a rally car in the mountains.
test. The day before, there was a lot of cheering.
However, the only sound on the test course in the mountains is the sound of birds.
I heard it (lol).”
``I'm happy when I'm given a machine that can win and I can race to the best of my ability.''
Hasemi, a contract driver for Nissan in the 1970s formed a private team and showed great success in each category until Nissan resumed its works race hiatus. He actively participated in the Fuji Grand Champion Series and the FJ1300 Series, which were the most popular at the time, and made steady progress and won the championship. He also attracted attention by driving the domestically produced Kojima KE007 in the first F1GP held in Japan in 1976. ``At that time, spot participation in F1 was allowed, and the engines, tires, and machines were all great.
It seemed like it. At that time, I was definitely playing ball.
I was aiming for Jishon. Fuji Speedway
The course is better for me than the F1 drivers.
I was familiar with him, and my rival was M. Andretti.
I thought it was just J. Hunt and N. Lauda. I was able to get Hunt and Andretti's cars in front on schedule, and I was able to use the slipstreams of those two cars to ensure I was able to improve my time. Until the hairpin corner, he was running faster than anyone else. However, as I approached the final corner, I ran off course due to machine trouble. If you can run to the control line, your chances of winning the ball are
I think it was big. Even so, the challenge that made me feel like I was competing against the world was a valuable experience.''
In 1980, Hasemi won an unprecedented four major domestic titles. All Japan F2 Championship All
Japan Formula Pacific Championship//Fujigu
Run Champion Championship/Suzuka F2 Championship
He won the four crowns. Eventually, as Nissan's works racing activities became more active, Hasemi became the main driver for Nissan along with his former Omori junior, Kazuyoshi Hoshino. The race for the Group 5 Super Silhouette car that I had envisioned started, and I drove the Skyline, marking the beginning of an era. Nissan began actively participating in endurance races for Group C cars, and began racing at Le Mans and Daytona. ``When we entered the 24 Hours of Daytona in the United States, it felt like we were competing against a huge nation called America. And we went out to win from the beginning, and we won.We had a machine that could win. It's a great feeling for a driver to race in a race where they can give their best from the start.''
Hasemi is now facing a new challenge in the world.
Participating in rally raids. In the Mongolia Rally, we recorded consecutive victories and another new crown. ``The temperature is 40 degrees Celsius, and we are given only 5 liters of water a day. It's difficult to race through the desert. However, there's a joy to it that you can't experience in other motorsports. It's difficult because you're always aiming for the top and trying to lead your rivals. But I think there's also a sense of fun to it that I haven't been able to experience in previous races. There are also races like this. I started to think that it was a good thing to do.”
Hasemi's spectacular racing career. There is confidence and pride in his face as he reflects on his many victories. And when Hasemi talks about rally raids again, he shows a gentle expression despite the severity.

Review: Aoshima F-1 series 1/32
Introduction:
Aoshima Bunka Kyozai Co. Ltd., commonly truncated to Aoshima, is a Japanese model manufacturer based in Shizuoka Prefecture. It produces plastic modelkits of a variety of vehicles under Aoshima brand along with some other brands. The company was founded by by airplane pilot Jiro Aoshima in 1924 which named Aoshima Airplane Research Institute. In 1932, model-airplane was designated as an educational material in Japanese schools, and "Shizuoka model-airplane association" was established. Jiro Aoshima acceded to the chairman's post. There are many lines established by Aoshima brand but, in here I'm going to focus on their F-1 series. Judging from their respective boxarts, the cars were seemingly based on the 1987 Formula One World Championship. Which pressumably released way earlier than both Tamiya, ARII and Fujimi released their own Mini F-1.
1. Lotus Honda 99T (Ayrton Senna):
As depicted from the box art, Aoshima produced the legendary Lotus Honda 99T owned by the late Ayrton Senna. The car was designed by Gérard Ducarouge for use by Lotus in the 1987 Formula One World Championship. The overall car's bodyshell color is yellow added with extensive sponsors livery, they even added some decal that was barely visible in the narrow position. The bodyshell was separated into 2 parts; main body and rear wing. Finally another car that belongs to Senna that is not McLaren or Williams, the 99T also proved to be competitive in Senna's hands; the Brazilian won twice and scored six. Thus earning the title as one of Senna's iconic car.
2. Williams Honda FW11B (Nelson Piquet):
Yup, another Williams car but, belongs to Nelson Piquet. It was designed by Frank Dernie as a serious challenger to McLaren and their MP4/2C car. The car took over from where the FW10 left off at the end of 1985, when that car won the last three races of the season. The bodyshell was originally white colored plastic but with added livery details, the car mainly got 3 colors; white, dark blue and yellow but, there're red and black colors in several parts such as livery trims and sponsors. Like 99T, the car also got extensive sponsors livery which made the bodyshell looking like an actual FW11B car. The car won first time out in Brazil with Piquet in 1986, before Mansell laid down a title challenge with four wins. Well... Atleast, there's an achievement for this car from Nelson Piquet himself. Although, the decals was also included with Mansell's numbering car so, you can actually make Mansell version as well. However, in this review the conversion of this model kit is more focused on the box art depiction, which is Piquet version.
3. Lotus Honda 99T Nakajima Version (Satoru Nakajima):
Another variant of 99T which was based on Satoru Nakajima car but, you can still make Senna's version by using his numbering decal. This version replaced "Camel" font with "Lotus" but, the Camel picture logo remains there. Aside from the livery, there're several body mold differences; specifically on the rear wing, front wing and there's extra accessory for the hole part near the roll hoop. Nakajima was overshadowed by his teammate but, proved to be steady if the unspectacular driver. Nakajima's best finish in his first season was a 4th at Silverstone for the British Grand Prix.
Aoshima F-1 Chassis:
The chassis was build to fit with the bodyshells; which you'll have to fit the rear body's pegs into the front part of the gearbox's peg hole and snap in the front part of the gearbox with matching chassis peg for the hole on driver's interior, while the rear wing's location is right behind the gearbox. The chassis only got 2 gears which for motor and rear wheels so, there's no 4WD feature since they're not mini 4WD. The overall chassis is similar to Mini F-1 chassis but, slightly sturdier. Despite this, the front part is still the most fragile one due to many thin parts, which I accidentally broke some thanks to my carelessness. The good part for this chassis is; they don't look stand out thanks to the body almost fully covering them.
Driver parts are actually the only thing they didn't do much but, they still added decals for them. My friend did most of the helmet livery such as Senna and Piquet one.
Thoughts:
Unlike Tamiya and other brands, Aoshima seemingly fully licensed this model kit with extensive sponsors livery that pretty closely resembles their actual cars, seen from this conversion. They also included rear view mirror for this model kit, making this more detailed than what Tamiya, ARII and Fujimi did. However, for a 1/32 they're way smaller than I thought but, with that amount of extensive livery details I gotta admit Aoshima really nailed this conversion perfectly. This looks more like an actual miniature instead of your regular mini F-1 toys. Unfortunately, the frustrating part was on assembling 99T's bodyshell; which I had a real hard time dealing with the small parts and ended breaking several joint parts due to small peg holes but, gladly they didn't really stand out since mostly on the peg joints. You'll need to scrape the hole to fit the pegs, mainly on the roll hoop and driver holes. However, despite how detailed they looks, they're still overshadowed by Tamiya.
Repaint & detail by Archyd.

Alex is known as the grumpy one, rarely smiling (so rare that it became a meme of sorts on social media of to comment when he did in 2022). This may be changing in 2023 with a change to McLaren after six years at Andretti. New season, new team, new Alex? Time will tell. He still isn't the most social of people, preferring people people (friends and family) over people (everyone else). He has a soft spot for child fans, often going out of his way to interact with them.
His conservative upbringing shows on occasion, particularly on his podcast where he and good friend James Hinchcliffe discuss the latest racing news and whatever else comes into their heads. The number of times James has said "No, Alex. We've talked about this." when Alex says something that could be considered concerning for a rational person to say (often related to those conservative views he was raised with) is numerous. Much credit to Mr. Hinchcliffe for having the patience to educate his friend.
Alex extensively researches (perhaps obsessively) what catches his interest, be it smoking meats, the PH of his pool, or weird flavored soda cocktails. He is generous to his closest friends, recently planning a "not Bachelor party" weekend for a friend. He is something of perfectionist and a (self-admitted) clean freak. He enjoys betting on sporting events, although now must do his betting through friends as he allowed James to parental lock the betting app on his phone.
Fanfic Lore
Good friends with James Hinchcliffe, James Hinchcliffe and Marco Andretti. The four could be considered a 'band of brothers'
Often paired with one of the others of the band.
Paired with teammate Pato O'Ward

Immersion Review | スーパカブ(Super Cub)
So! its finally time for me to write down my log of this show. Immersion is a unique experience for everyone cause depending on your tastes in media you may end up watching wildly different things.
if what i say here makes you a little interested in checking out the show, you can watch it here!
A lot of whats recommended to beginners in JP are Slice of life shows because they're usually slow paced, and have easy to digest dialogue (for the most part) which makes them either laid back, easy going dips into immersion, or unbelievably boring snooze fests. Super Cub is definitely a show that falls on that fine line. I think for me, slice of life really depends on the show. for example, I literally fell asleep once while watching Non Non biyori, but were not here to talk about that, haha.
As for Super cub, well, lets get into the review! (more under the cut! this post may be long, i will try and keep it from meandering.)
The show follows Koguma. A highschool student who lives in a semi rural town in the japanese countryside with no friends, no hobbies, no parents, and little money. She lives a pretty boring day to day life until one day, on a whim from her way home from school, she drops by a small motor shop and acquires a Honda Super Cub for dirt cheap from the store owner. From there, her life slowly, but surely, begins to become a little brighter from the new experiences she has while travelling around on her new moped. (not the most compelling synopsis, i know.)
At its core, Super Cub is a show about how changes, big or small can breathe new life into your own. There's a scene in episode 1 where, upon sitting on the moped for the first time and taking hold of the handles, Koguma's world literally gets a little brighter from the experience. up until now the show has had a pretty muted colour pallete. But for a single moment, the drab colours melt away and become bright and vibrant!
As a Japanese learner, the first episode is as accessible as a TV anime get aside form kids shows. Things get a little more complicated as it goes on, there's a fair amount of words related to mopeds, motorcycles and related things that honestly I just glossed over for the most part. Koguma is a quiet (honestly kind of depressed) girl who speaks pretty slowly, and its easy to understand her. Aside from the obvious focal of the show, the dialogue uses a lot of common words you'll come across quite frequently, so it was good practice for me to listen to. There also isn't a lot to miss out on if you don't understand everything. a lot and be inferred form the current visuals on screen, which makes it easier to pick up on new words. (the show also makes me really want to get a moped, lol.)
I also really enjoyed the sound design of the show. the sound effects for the moped like the engine starting and the clunks the metal make or the textures of cloth are fantastic. i also think the pacing is pretty good. its laid back, but it has this adolescent warmth of discovering a new passion for the first time. the 3D models i will admit are a bit ugly, but they dont show up frequently enough to be bothersome.
The overall tone of the show has a melancholic feel that slowly drifts away as it progresses. Its like and iced coffee. sweet, but a tinge of bitter that keeps it from being all boring. I'm glad the cast is so small cause moe slice of slice shows can easy feel a little samey, despite having larger and more vibrant casts.
My Verdict - ★★★★★
Super Cub is a great show for language learners who want to try out a slice of slice that feels more down to earth. It has an energy of discovering new passions, and the small and large impacts it makes on your life.
the dialogue is easy to follow, and aside from the focal point of the show the word usage is quite easy to digest and get a feel of. while laid back, it has a great atmosphere that feels careful, but caring at the same time.
I hope what I've said today has gotten you to consider giving the show a try! if youve made it this far, thank you for reading my post and i hope to see you all again! またね!

The global electric motorcycle market size is anticipated to be valued at USD 121.07 billion by 2030 and is expected growth by CAGR 19.0% over the forecast period, according to a new study by Grand View Research Inc. The electric motorcycle industry is expected to expand due to the growing consensus regarding the increasing concentration of greenhouse gases in the environment. The government introduced favorable tax and purchasing subsidies in economies such as Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe is also supporting the market growth. Furthermore, the development of battery technology, including electric motorcycles in delivery fleets and mobility as a service, is further acting as an opportunity for the uptake of electric motorcycles. However, due to the underdeveloped charging infrastructure, range anxiety among the end-users, and the high vehicle cost are among the challenges the market faces over the forecast period.
The commercial end-use segments of the electric motorcycle industry are creating new opportunity avenues for industries like logistics and food delivery. In regions such as Africa and Latin America, food delivery platforms are employing electric motorcycles for delivery in partnership with electric mobility startups. For instance, on May 2022, iFood, a Brazilian food delivery platform, announced the launch of its electric motorcycle, EVS Motor iFood. The food delivery platform partnered with Voltz Motor to develop the electric motorcycle. As per the food platform organization, the motorcycle is expected to save up to 70% of running costs and maintenance expenditures. EVS Motor iFood motorcycle ranges 85 kilometers per hour and can cover up to 100 to 180 kilometers with two battery packs. Additionally, to make the electric motorcycle affordable by partnering with bank BV for financing options.
The Asia Pacific region is anticipated to register the fastest growth in the market over the forecast period. The region’s market growth is attributed to factors such as growing government initiatives such as incentives and subsidies to promote the growth of electric mobility, rising fuel costs, and uptake of electric motorcycles by e-commerce and food delivery platforms. Moreover, the regional electric motorcycle industry growth is further expected to augment owing to the rise in disposable income in high population density regions such as Indonesia, India, China, and Vietnam. The major players in the electric motorcycle industry landscape are consistently launching new electric motorcycles which are equipped with batteries with increased storage capacity, advanced displays, Bluetooth connectivity, and connected vehicle technology features in a bid to promote the adoption and sales of the vehicles, thus contributing to the market growth.

The Connected Car Economy: Tapping into In-vehicle Payment Potential
The global in-vehicle payment services market size is expected to reach USD 14.43 billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 12.1% from 2023 to 2030, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. The aggressive spending by automakers on enabling drivers to make payments and authenticate transactions from the vehicle itself coupled with the rising levels of disposable income, especially in the developed economies, and the growing preference for contactless payments are expected to drive the growth of the market over the forecast period.
Busy schedules are prompting drivers to look forward to hassle-free experiences as part of an upgraded lifestyle. At this juncture, the ability to shop, order, and pay on the go without performing any cash transactions for swiping credit/debit cards would allow commuters to save time and ensure a convenient commute. In-vehicle payment services offer drivers and passengers the convenience of making payments through various payment modes from the vehicle itself. The demand for In-vehicle payment services is expected to increase over the forecast period in line with the proliferation of connected cars and the growing preference for advanced infotainment.

Payment service providers, such as MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal, are also striking strategic partnerships and collaborations with automotive OEMs to deliver efficient in-vehicle payment platforms.
The preference for contactless payments is growing in the wake of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, the majority of the parking systems, gas stations, and toll collection booths have already incorporated mobile payment technology. The popularity of e-wallets is rising owing to the convenience and ease of payment e-wallets can offer. Digital wallet and online payment platforms, such as Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and Apple Pay, are also getting immensely popular and their adoption is expected to increase significantly over the forecast period.
However, automotive OEMs are looking forward to designing and developing a payment ecosystem that would allow drivers and passengers to avail and pay for all the desired services, such as filling gasoline or charging electric cars, booking and paying for parking slots, paying tolls at toll booths, and ordering food and coffee, among others, without having to get out of the vehicle. Hence, the market for in-vehicle payment services is expected to grow significantly over the forecast period.
