Holden Hurricane & GTR-X concepts, 1969/1970. The Hurricane was a test bed and promotional vehicle for Holden's new, domestically produced 253ci (4.2 litre) V8. The GTR-X is more complicated and was designed by Joe Schemansky and Phillip Zmood with the intention of series production based on the Holden Torana. The project was abandoned because GMH were concerned that the costs of making the car would be greater than what they could sell if it for in Australia's relatively small domestic market.

The stunning Phantom concept car was the last hurrah for General Motors (GM) design boss Bill Mitchell. It was to be a fully operable automobile and he commissioned it primarily as a retirement gift for himself.

Holden Cub Concept, 1973. A full-sized mock-up of a symmetrical city car at Holden's Port Melbourne design studio which was headed by Phillip Zmood at the time. On the walls around the car are drawings of possible variations, a van, a convertible, a ute (pick-up), and a racing version.

Chevrolet 409 was a legendary V8 engine produced by General Motors from the early 1960s.
