Fun, funny, festive holiday romance ~ Still smiling as I think about Aileeen & Dante’s story :)

What I liked:

* Dante: hitman, lethal, has the hots for Aileen, good friend, part of the “family”, hottie, perfect in the story

* Aileen: single mother of Nessa, not in the hitman family business, ASMRtist with big following, had a bad experience in college, attracted to Dante and ready to make her move

* Nessa: Aileen’s pre-teen daughter, wants Santa to give her Dante as her father

* Theo and Elli: from book one in the series, fun to revisit their story and see how they are doing

* Nestor and Lorna: parents of Aileen and Theo and skilled at the family business

* The mystery of why Santas were out to get Aileen and the conclusion to that part of the story

* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing

* The smile on my face as I think bac over the story

What I didn’t like: * Who and what I was meant not to like

* Wondering who will be the main characters in book three of the series

Opportunities is very special to me. It's co-written by my wife, @truly-sincerely. We started posting all the way back in 2013 but went on hiatus in like, 2020? because gun violence is a huge bummer and, idk, some other thing that happened around 2020, probably. All this to say, I've been working on book 2's script for the last few months and I'm VERY excited for the future of this project.

We're currently re-uploading the entirety of book 1 (Which is complete!) each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. dotmunch headcanons part 2:

munch slowly but surely gets the hang of helping dot with cooking. the problem is that he's extremely slow out of fear of messing up so he's always very methodically measuring & cutting things even after it develops into a genuine skill. his favorite thing to make is bread from scratch.

(got this from my mutual!) he can't go to sleep unless dot tucks him in. sometimes he'll be hanging out in the shadows near the staircase waiting for her, which catches wayne off guard every time.

hates hates HATES ppl singing happy birthday. the first time he witnessed it was during scotty's first birthday with him as a family member & he instantly had a full body reaction, like someone shielding themself from emergency broadcast signals. wayne tried it as a joke during munch's first birthday there & munch hissed at him. he doesn't like holiday music either

continuing with birthday stuff, he never knew birthdays were for gift giving, so he was very touched when dot teaches him about the usual customs, though he clarifies he does not want to be treated like a child & will freak out if someone tries singing to him. the lyons always try to make or buy things that help him with different kinds of organization.

he does not nor will he ever know how to use modern technology beyond basic functions. obviously we can infer from his job as a hitman that he knows how to use vehicles & phones for correspondence but as far as the recreational uses of a phone or a computer he's a caveman. completely analog. like literally someone who you should never show the scary maze game to bc he will commit several felonies. he's not incapable of learning nor is he fully unaware of how modern tech is used, but he just doesn't see how it would apply to the way he lives his life & thus finds it unnecessary.

following the success of dot's online knitwork shop, she ends up corresponding with molly & gloria over facebook after they become loyal customers.

dot & munch eventually discuss the social roadblock that is his inclusion to the family & the events that led up to it. what they come up with is that after dot ran away from the ranch, she found refuge at a shelter for domestic abuse victims. munch's story is that he escaped from an overzealous religious family who abused him & kept him cut off from the rest of the world. they met at the shelter & became fast friends.

immediately after the ending shot of the season, munch breaks out into soft happy cry-laughter. dot goes to throw her arms around him. scotty follows suit. wayne peels one of munch's hand from dot's back to hold it.

dinner is fun. munch savors every last bite of his meal while dot & scotty laugh at wayne trying to pretend its not too spicy. hes in disbelief that someone who hasn't had a meal in hundreds of years doesnt seem to respond to the spices. munch ends up eating a majority of the biscuits.

after helping with the dishes, munch asks if he can go take a bath. dot takes him upstairs to show him whats what; where the towels are, where the soaps are, shampoo & conditioner, etc., & then goes to find him some old clothes wayne doesn't use anymore. she comes back & munch is curled up in the tub, resting his head on his knees like hes asleep, & the bathroom is almost completely obscured with steam. she approaches quietly & starts lathering up his hair. when he reaches back she thinks its to swat her away, but he just places his hands over hers as they work. she lets him know he has a home there no matter what.

Chilled champagne, 5star meal, private music, carriage/gondola ride, self made chocolate with gold flakes.

Oh that's a really GOOD question! First of all - totally, a mission at a Valentines resort would be really cool, a bit like Haven Island but maybe more like in a spa in the mountains, really romantic, and 47 can wear a pink fluffy dressing gown hihi

Lucas hates holidays like these, I totally agree with you. Just buying something soulless? That's pure commercialisation and capitalism in its final stage. Disgusting, nobody should ever get involved in something like that. But that's probably only the case when he's single. That man seems hard to get to me, but once you've got him, you've got him for life. And then he's a loyal soul. He'll do everything he can to make you feel good and loved. And THEN I can well imagine him being the most romantic person ever. He probably won't buy you champagne or anything too expensive, but he'll give you a great day out, with a trip, a nice meal and a homemade treat, flowers and one of the best massages you've ever had. He'll hug you more than usual, give you kisses on every part of your body and make sure you know he loves you very very much. Like, he'll be the sweetest person you've ever seen so you'll both forget for a day what "terrible things he has done" (his words).

Lucas' idea for a nice date at home, basic and personal:

47? Hard to say, but I think if he's single, he wouldn't even think about Valentine's Day. He'd probably be working, not giving it another thought. Just another day in the year, whatever. However, if he's in a relationship, he would spend days researching what the normal customs are on such a day and probably only buy expensive things, like you said. With him, it will be less personal because he doesn't really know what to do with the holiday itself (and is certainly the more reserved one in relationships as well). But I can imagine that after 2-3 years he'll get the hang of it and know exactly which flowers you like, which is your favourite chocolate and which champagne you like to drink. He'll book private areas in spas and make sure you have fun.

✧ riddle thought 1. an alternate story where, rather than signing azul’s contract and spending the winter holiday with him, you take shelter in heartslabyul in hopes of shaking the twins, who are hellbent on dragging you to azul for the reasons outlined in azul thought 4. you and riddle do not get along at all, but by some miracle he takes pity on you and your situation (aka being harassed by the tweels) and allows you to stay.

It’s difficult maneuvering around an animal that can kick him if he gets too close for comfort. His second thought, that’s inspired by his first, is he should have started with Sir Tom Cruise because there’s no way the smaller pony is making as big of a mess as the larger thoroughbreds.

Even with all the commotion on the cobblestone walkways, Henry is still able to merge himself among the crowd of men wearing all different height tops hats and the fewer number of women, who are most likely only around at this hour to pick up some meat at the city’s butcher before its closing time. He still finds the direction of travel a bit difficult to flow with because just as he does, not everyone is paying attention to the others who are rushing to also leave the city before the sun completely sets.

Alex won’t name any other names other than Liam’s because the rest of the cowboys on this tour swear by the Bible that they’re straight and Alex is just a convenience when they can’t find a decent buckle bunny to suck them off, or to ride their cocks longer than the eight seconds they’re used to when they’ve got a two ton raging bull underneath them. He’s given oral to the best of them and as he looks the “out of place” stranger in the bar, he’s certain he’ll be able to convince him that his mouth isn’t just good for small talk.
