DC Comics Characters x Fem!OC
You trip a little because you were too busy staring at your crush
Characters: Bruce Wayne, Kal-El (Clark Kent), Barry Allen, Diana of Themyscira, Arthur Curry, Hal Jordan, Oliver Queen, John Constantine, Roy Harper, Koriand'r (Starfire), Kara Zor-El (Supergirl), Slade Wilson, Kent Nelson (Dr. Fate), Rachel Roth, Zatanna Zatara, Wally West, Dinah Lance, Victor Stone (Cyborg) & Shayera Hol (Hawkgirl)
Bruce Wayne aka. Batman
- Bruce Wayne is a force of nature—stoic, commanding, yet with an undercurrent of gentleness that only a few ever glimpse. You’re captivated by him, the way he effortlessly blends into a crowd yet still commands attention. That’s why you don’t see the edge of the rug in the dim lighting of Wayne Manor, tripping gracelessly. Before you can hit the ground, Bruce is there, his strong hands gripping your arms with surprising care. “Are you alright?” he asks, his voice deep and steady, concern etched into his usually impassive features.
- His hold lingers for a moment longer than necessary, his sharp blue eyes scanning your face for any sign of injury. “You should be more careful,” he says, his tone soft but firm. There’s a flicker of something in his gaze—concern, maybe even something deeper—that makes your heart race. He steps back, adjusting his cufflinks as if to regain his composure, but the subtle way his eyes linger on you betrays his own faltering calm.
- Throughout the evening, Bruce stays close, his presence a quiet reassurance. He’s the epitome of subtlety—offering you a glass of water here, gently guiding you through the crowded ballroom there. His attentiveness is masked by his usual aloof demeanor, but you catch the fleeting softness in his gaze when he thinks you’re not looking. For all his carefully constructed walls, Bruce has always struggled to hide the depth of his emotions.
- Later, when the guests have departed and the manor is quiet, Bruce surprises you by breaking the silence. “You
matter to me,” he says, his voice low, almost hesitant. He looks at you, his usual stoicism giving way to vulnerability. “I’ve lost too much in my life to ignore what’s in front of me now.” His words are raw, unpolished, but they carry the weight of his guarded heart. You reach out, your fingers brushing his, and he lets out a soft sigh, his shoulders relaxing ever so slightly.
Kal-El (Clark Kent) aka. Superman
- Clark Kent is the epitome of kindness, his warmth as disarming as it is comforting. You’ve always admired him—his strength tempered by humility, his smile as bright as the sun he draws his power from. Today, as you watch him navigate the newsroom with his usual charm, you’re so distracted that you trip over a stray power cord. Before you can hit the ground, he’s there, catching you with effortless ease. “Whoa, I’ve got you,” he says, his tone gentle and reassuring, his strong arms steadying you.
- Clark’s concern is immediate, his brow furrowing as he looks you over. “Are you okay?” he asks, his voice soft but earnest. His hands linger on your arms, his touch as steady as his gaze. When you assure him you’re fine, he chuckles softly, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. “I guess I can be a little distracting,” he teases, though the sincerity in his eyes makes it clear he’s still worried.
- Throughout the day, Clark’s attentiveness is unshakable. Whether it’s fetching you a fresh cup of coffee or subtly guiding you around potential obstacles, his protectiveness shines through in the smallest gestures. His blue eyes find yours often, his expression softening every time. When you catch him looking at you, his cheeks flush slightly, and he quickly adjusts his glasses—a nervous habit that only endears him to you further.
- Later, when the hustle of the day has settled, Clark finds you in a quiet corner of the office. “You know,” he begins, his voice low and sincere, “I’ve faced a lot of things in my life—things I never thought I’d survive. But you
you make everything feel a little brighter.” He looks down, adjusting his glasses again, before meeting your gaze. “I just hope I can be as much for you as you are for me.” His words are simple but heartfelt, and when you smile, his grin returns, radiating the warmth of a man who feels deeply and loves unconditionally.
Barry Allen aka. Flash
- Barry Allen is a whirlwind of energy and charm, his quick wit matched only by the speed at which he moves. You’re so captivated by his boyish smile and the way his hands move animatedly as he talks that you don’t see the uneven sidewalk ahead. Before you can stumble, Barry is there, catching you with a speed that leaves you breathless. “Whoa, careful!” he says, grinning as he steadies you. “You okay? That was almost a total wipeout.”
- His concern is genuine, though his teasing grin never falters. “You know, I’ve seen people fall for me before, but this is a first,” he jokes, his tone light but his hands lingering on your arms just a moment longer than necessary. When you laugh, his grin widens, and his eyes sparkle with something deeper than amusement. “Seriously, though,” he adds, his voice softening, “are you sure you’re okay?”
- Barry’s protectiveness is subtle but constant throughout the day. He’s always just a step ahead, anticipating your needs with an almost uncanny accuracy. Whether it’s holding a door open before you even reach it or catching a falling book mid-air, his actions speak louder than words. Every time his eyes meet yours, there’s a warmth there that makes your heart race, and when he blushes under your gaze, you realize he’s just as affected as you are.
- Later, when the day slows down, Barry surprises you with a rare moment of vulnerability. “You know,” he begins, rubbing the back of his neck, “I’m not always the smoothest guy around, but with you
I feel like I don’t have to try so hard.” His voice is softer now, his usual bravado giving way to honesty. “I guess what I’m trying to say is
you make me want to slow down, and that’s saying something.” His cheeks flush as he looks at you, and when you smile, he lets out a breathless laugh, his grin returning with a newfound confidence.
Diana of Themyscira aka. Wonder Woman
- Diana of Themyscira carries herself with a grace and strength that feels otherworldly. You’ve always admired her, but today, as she stands in the sunlight, her armor gleaming and her smile as radiant as the dawn, you can’t look away. That’s why you trip, your foot catching on a stray root. Before you can fall, Diana is there, her arms steadying you with effortless ease. “Are you hurt?” she asks, her voice filled with concern, her dark eyes scanning you with a warrior’s precision.
- Diana’s touch is gentle despite her strength, her fingers lingering on your arm as she helps you steady yourself. “You must be more careful,” she says, her tone soft but firm. When you assure her you’re fine, she smiles, the warmth in her expression making your heart flutter. “It is easy to be distracted by beauty,” she adds, her words carrying a hint of playfulness, though her gaze remains steady on yours.
- Throughout the day, Diana stays close, her protective instincts clearly at odds with her desire to let you stand on your own. She’s ever watchful, her presence a comforting reminder of her strength. When your eyes meet, there’s a softness in her gaze that contrasts with her usual warrior’s intensity. It’s as if she’s letting you see a side of her few ever do—a side that cares deeply and feels even more.
- Later, as the sun sets and the world quiets, Diana speaks with a rare vulnerability. “You remind me of why I fight,” she says, her voice low but steady. “Not for glory or duty, but for love—for those who make the world worth saving.” She reaches out, her hand brushing yours, her touch both tender and strong. “You are more than I expected,” she adds, her smile soft but unwavering. “And I find myself drawn to you in ways I cannot ignore.” Her words are as sincere as the Amazon herself, and as you take her hand, you feel the unspoken promise of her unwavering heart.
Arthur Curry aka. Aquaman
- Arthur Curry has always carried the weight of two worlds on his shoulders, but you’ve never seen it diminish his strength or his humor. Today, as you watch him command the attention of those around him with his booming laugh and rugged charm, you lose track of your footing and stumble on a slick patch of wet tile. Before you can hit the ground, he’s there, catching you with a strength that feels like the ocean itself. “Whoa, easy there,” he says, his voice deep and warm, his golden eyes gleaming with concern.
- His hands linger on your waist as he steadies you, his brow furrowing slightly. “You okay?” he asks, his tone softer now. When you nod, his lips curl into a crooked grin. “You’ve got to watch your step around water, you know,” he teases, though there’s a flicker of something more in his gaze—something protective, maybe even possessive. “Next time, just grab onto me. I don’t mind being your anchor.”
- Throughout the day, Arthur is never far from your side. Whether it’s his broad hand brushing yours as you walk or the way he places himself between you and the crowd, his actions speak louder than words. When he laughs at your jokes or catches your eye from across the room, there’s a softness to him that contrasts with his larger-than-life persona. And when you catch him looking at you, his grin fades into something deeper, more thoughtful, as if he’s memorizing every detail of your face.
- Later, under the quiet of the moonlit ocean, Arthur opens up in a way he rarely does. “You’re different,” he says, his voice low and earnest. “Most people see the king, the warrior
but you see me. Just me.” His fingers brush yours, his touch warm despite the cool night air. “And I think
I want to be that for you. Just Arthur.” His vulnerability takes your breath away, and as you take his hand, his grin returns, softer but no less genuine.
Hal Jordan aka. Green Lantern
- Hal Jordan is impossible to ignore—the sheer confidence he exudes is magnetic, and his grin could rival the brightest star. You’re so caught up in watching him regale the group with one of his wild stories that you don’t see the loose stone on the ground. You trip, your balance faltering, but before you can fall, Hal is there, catching you with the ease of a man who’s saved the universe a dozen times. “Gotcha,” he says, his grin widening as he steadies you. “You okay, beautiful?”
- Hal’s teasing tone is paired with genuine concern as he looks you over, his hands lingering just a moment longer than necessary. “You’ve got to watch where you’re going,” he says, his green eyes sparkling with mischief. “Though I can’t blame you if you were distracted by someone as handsome as me.” His cocky grin makes you roll your eyes, but the way he’s still holding onto you betrays the softer side he tries to keep hidden.
- The rest of the day, Hal is uncharacteristically attentive. He’s always been protective, but now it’s obvious—whether he’s keeping an arm around your shoulders in a crowded room or using his Green Lantern ring to light your path. His usual banter is interspersed with moments of quiet affection: a lingering glance, a soft smile when he thinks you’re not looking. For all his bravado, Hal’s heart is open and unguarded when it comes to you.
- Later, under the stars, Hal drops the act. “I know I come off as this fearless guy,” he says, his voice quieter now. “But the truth is, I’m terrified of losing the people I care about.” He looks at you, his usual confidence replaced by sincerity. “You
you mean more to me than I ever expected. And I’m not going to mess this up.” His words are raw, vulnerable, and when you smile, he relaxes, his grin returning as he pulls you closer.
Oliver Queen aka. Green Arrow
- Oliver Queen is larger than life, his charisma and sharp wit drawing everyone in like moths to a flame. You’ve always found it hard to look away from him, but today, as he leans against the bar, his trademark smirk in place, you’re completely distracted. That’s why you don’t notice the stray chair leg in your path until it’s too late. You stumble, but before you can hit the ground, Oliver is there, catching you with surprising ease. “Whoa there,” he says, grinning as he steadies you. “Falling for me already?”
- His teasing tone is matched by the warmth in his eyes as he looks you over, his hands steady on your waist. “You okay?” he asks, his voice softening as he meets your gaze. When you nod, his grin widens. “Good, because I’d hate to think I caused you any trouble.” He steps back reluctantly, his hands lingering for just a moment longer than necessary before he releases you.
- For the rest of the day, Oliver is his usual charming self, but there’s an added layer of protectiveness to his actions. He’s quick to offer his arm when the ground is uneven and even quicker to shoot a playful wink your way when he catches you watching him. His sharp humor is balanced by the genuine care he shows in the little things, like the way he quietly makes sure you’re comfortable in every situation.
- Later, as the two of you find yourselves alone, Oliver surprises you with his honesty. “You know,” he begins, his voice quieter now, “I’ve spent a lot of time pretending to be someone I’m not. But with you
I don’t feel like I have to.” He looks at you, his usual bravado giving way to something more vulnerable. “You see me—the real me—and somehow, you haven’t run away yet.” His grin returns, softer this time, and when you step closer, he exhales, his shoulders relaxing as he takes your hand.
John Constantine aka. Hellblazer
- John Constantine is chaos incarnate, a man who carries the weight of the supernatural world on his shoulders while masking his pain behind biting wit and a cigarette’s haze. You’re watching him in the dim light of a dingy bar, his trench coat draped over his chair, the glow of his cigarette illuminating his sharp features. You’re so lost in your thoughts that you trip over an uneven floorboard. Before you can hit the ground, John’s there, catching you with surprising swiftness. “Careful, love,” he says, his rough voice laced with amusement. “Hate to see a beauty like you bruised.”
- His hands linger as he steadies you, his smirk softening into something more genuine. “You alright?” he asks, his tone more earnest now. When you nod, he gives you a lopsided grin. “Good. Though I wouldn’t blame you if you were distracted. Happens when I’m around.” His teasing tone is classic Constantine, but the way his eyes linger on you betrays something deeper—something he’s trying hard to keep hidden.
- For the rest of the evening, John’s attention is subtle but constant. Whether it’s shielding you from the bar’s more unsavory patrons or lighting your way with a flicker of magic, his protectiveness shines through his sarcastic façade. He teases you mercilessly, but there’s a warmth in his gaze when he thinks you’re not looking—a vulnerability that feels at odds with the cocky mage you know.
- Later, as the night winds down, John surprises you by dropping his guard. “You’re dangerous, you know,” he says, his voice low and raspy. “Getting under my skin like this
it’s not bloody fair.” He exhales, running a hand through his hair as he looks at you with uncharacteristic honesty. “I’ve got demons, love—literally and figuratively. But you
you make me think maybe there’s still a part of me worth saving.” His words are raw and unpolished, but they carry the weight of a man who’s seen too much yet dares to hope.
Roy Harper aka. Arsenal
- Roy Harper is the embodiment of resilience, his charm and humor hiding the scars of his past. You’ve always admired his strength, but today, as he adjusts the sights on his bow, his fiery red hair catching the sunlight, you can’t help but stare. So much so that you miss the loose pebble beneath your foot and stumble. Before you can hit the ground, Roy’s quick reflexes have you in his arms. “Whoa, easy there,” he says with a teasing grin. “Didn’t know I was that distracting.”
- He steadies you, his hands warm and calloused from years of archery. “You good?” he asks, his green eyes scanning your face with concern. When you nod, his grin widens. “Good, because I’m not sure my heart can handle the thought of you getting hurt.” His words are light, but there’s a flicker of vulnerability in his gaze that tells you he means every word.
- Throughout the day, Roy’s attention is as playful as it is protective. He sticks close, making jokes to put you at ease, but his actions speak louder than his words. He’s always a step ahead, ensuring you’re safe and comfortable. When he catches you watching him, he winks, his grin mischievous, but there’s a softness in his expression that tugs at your heart.
- Later, as the two of you sit around a campfire, Roy’s lighthearted demeanor shifts. “You make me want to be better,” he admits, his voice low and sincere. “Not just for me, but for you.” He looks at you, his usual cockiness giving way to raw honesty. “I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but you
you make me feel like maybe I’m not just my screw-ups.” His words are quiet but powerful, and as he takes your hand, his grip is steady, grounding you in his presence.
Koriandïżœïżœïżœr aka. Starfire
- Koriand’r radiates warmth, her golden skin and vibrant hair glowing like a living sunrise. Today, as she tends to a garden, her movements graceful and deliberate, you’re utterly captivated. So much so that you don’t notice the uneven stone beneath your feet. You trip, but before you can fall, Koriand’r is there, catching you in her strong, gentle arms. “Oh, are you alright?” she asks, her voice melodic with concern.
- She holds you a moment longer than necessary, her emerald eyes scanning your face. “You must be careful,” she says, her tone earnest. “I would be most distressed if you were harmed.” When you stammer out a reply, her lips curve into a radiant smile. “It is alright,” she says warmly. “I find you quite lovely, even when you stumble.”
- For the rest of the day, Koriand’r’s kindness and attentiveness shine through. She hovers close, her concern evident in the small ways she cares for you—offering a hand when the path is uneven or shielding you from the sun with her body. Her usual exuberance softens in your presence, her laughter quieter, her smiles more intimate. When she catches you looking at her, she tilts her head, her curiosity and affection clear in her gaze.
- Later, as the two of you watch the stars, Koriand’r speaks with heartfelt sincerity. “You are like the stars to me,” she says, her voice soft. “Beautiful, constant, and full of wonder.” She takes your hand, her touch warm and steady. “You make me feel at home, no matter where I am. And for that, I am most grateful.” Her words are simple yet profound, her honesty like a balm to your soul.
Kara Zor-El aka. Supergirl
- Kara Zor-El is sunlight personified, her optimism and strength radiating wherever she goes. Today, as she helps a group of children with their science project, her laughter ringing like music, you can’t take your eyes off her. So much so that you don’t see the toy car in your path until it’s too late. You stumble, but before you can hit the ground, Kara is there in a flash, catching you with ease. “Whoa, you okay?” she asks, her voice warm with concern.
- She steadies you, her hands gentle yet strong as she looks you over. “You’ve got to watch where you’re going,” she teases, her blue eyes sparkling. “But hey, if you wanted me to catch you, you just had to ask.” Her playful grin is infectious, but the way her gaze lingers on you feels more serious, like she’s trying to read your heart.
- For the rest of the day, Kara’s attentiveness is as natural as her kindness. She stays close, her presence a constant source of warmth and reassurance. Whether it’s brushing a stray strand of hair from your face or quietly ensuring you’re comfortable, her actions speak of genuine care. When your eyes meet, her smile softens, her usual exuberance giving way to a quiet affection that takes your breath away.
- Later, as the two of you watch the sunset, Kara’s usual cheerfulness gives way to a deeper sincerity. “You remind me of home,” she says softly, her gaze fixed on the horizon. “Not Krypton, but the feeling of belonging
of being seen.” She turns to you, her eyes shining with emotion. “You make me feel like I can be more than just Supergirl. Like I can just be Kara. And that’s all I want to be
for you.” Her words are heartfelt, and as you take her hand, her smile becomes radiant, like the sun breaking through the clouds.
Slade Wilson aka. Deathstroke
- Slade Wilson is intensity personified, his every move calculated and deliberate. Today, as he sharpens his sword with precision, his one good eye glinting in the dim light, you can’t help but watch. So much so that you don’t see the step behind you until you stumble. Before you can fall, Slade’s hand shoots out, catching you with a firm grip. “Careful,” he says, his voice a low growl. “You’re not as indestructible as I am.”
- He steadies you, his hand lingering on your arm as he looks you over. “What were you thinking, staring off into space like that?” he asks, his tone stern but not unkind. When you mutter an excuse, he smirks. “If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were distracted by me.” His teasing is subtle, but the way his gaze lingers on you is anything but.
- For the rest of the day, Slade’s protectiveness is quiet but unmistakable. He stays close, his sharp eyes scanning the surroundings for potential threats. His usual cold demeanor softens ever so slightly when he speaks to you, his words less biting, his tone less harsh. When your eyes meet, there’s a flicker of something softer—something he tries to hide but can’t quite suppress.
- Later, as the two of you sit in the quiet of the night, Slade surprises you with his honesty. “You’re a distraction,” he says, his voice low and gravelly. “But for some reason, I don’t mind.” He looks at you, his gaze intense. “You make me remember what it’s like to care about something—someone. And that’s dangerous for a man like me.” His words are raw and unpolished, but they carry the weight of a man who rarely lets his guard down.
Kent Nelson aka. Doctor Fate
- Kent Nelson is an enigma, a man who carries the wisdom of ages and the burden of Fate’s mantle. His presence is serene, almost otherworldly, and you can’t help but be drawn to him. Today, as he consults an ancient tome, his golden helm gleaming in the soft light, you’re so captivated that you trip over a stray book on the floor. Before you can hit the ground, a soft golden glow surrounds you, suspending you mid-air. “Careful,” Kent says, his voice calm and measured as he gently sets you upright.
- He steps closer, his eyes searching yours with quiet concern. “Are you alright?” he asks, his tone as soothing as his magic. When you nod, he offers a small, almost shy smile. “Good. The world has enough chaos without adding unnecessary injuries.” There’s a warmth in his gaze that contrasts with his usual stoicism, a glimpse of the man behind the sorcerer’s mask.
- Throughout the day, Kent’s attentiveness is subtle but constant. He uses his magic to clear your path, his golden aura flickering softly whenever you’re near. His presence is calming, like the eye of a storm, and his rare smiles feel like small treasures meant just for you. When he looks at you, it’s as if he sees not just who you are, but who you could be—a potential that even you may not fully understand.
- Later, in the quiet of the Tower of Fate, Kent speaks with uncharacteristic vulnerability. “I’ve spent so much of my life serving the balance of the universe,” he says, his voice low and thoughtful. “But you
you remind me of what it means to simply be human.” He steps closer, his gaze steady and sincere. “You ground me in a way I didn’t think possible. And for that, I am grateful.” His words carry the weight of millennia, and as you reach out, his hand meets yours with a tenderness that feels timeless.
Rachel Roth aka. Raven
- Rachel Roth is a mystery, her dark aura both alluring and intimidating. Today, as she meditates in the corner of the room, her violet eyes closed in quiet concentration, you can’t help but be drawn to her. So much so that you trip over the edge of a rug, your balance faltering. Before you can hit the ground, a soft black energy wraps around you, setting you upright. “Careful,” Rachel says, her voice quiet but steady. “You should watch where you’re going.”
- She looks at you, her gaze calm but curious. “Were you distracted?” she asks, her tone neutral but her eyes betraying a flicker of amusement. When you nod, her lips quirk into a faint smile. “Well, try not to make a habit of it,” she says, her voice softening. “I might not always be here to catch you.” Her words are teasing, but the warmth in her eyes makes your heart skip a beat.
- For the rest of the day, Rachel’s attentiveness is subtle but constant. She stays close, her dark energy occasionally brushing against you in moments of quiet reassurance. Her usual aloofness softens in your presence, her sarcasm tempered by moments of unexpected kindness. When she catches you watching her, she raises an eyebrow, her faint smile making you wonder if she knows exactly what you’re thinking.
- Later, as the two of you sit in the glow of candlelight, Rachel surprises you with her vulnerability. “You’re different,” she says, her voice barely above a whisper. “You make me feel
calm. Like I don’t have to fight so hard to keep the darkness at bay.” She looks at you, her gaze steady but shy. “You make me feel like maybe I can be more than what I was born into.” Her words are quiet but powerful, and as you smile, her faint smile grows, her walls lowering just a little more.
Zatanna Zatara aka. Zatanna
- Zatanna’s presence is mesmerizing, her every movement imbued with an effortless elegance that feels like magic itself. Today, as she performs a small spell to entertain the group, her voice lilting as she speaks backward, you find yourself utterly entranced. So much so that you don’t see the loose rug beneath your feet. You stumble, but before you can hit the ground, Zatanna whispers a quick incantation, and you find yourself suspended in mid-air, gently uprighted by invisible hands. “Careful, darling,” she says, her tone playful. “Magic works better when you’re standing.”
- She steps closer, her sapphire eyes sparkling with concern and mischief. “Were you distracted, perhaps?” she teases, her lips curving into a knowing smile. When you stammer out an excuse, she chuckles softly. “Don’t worry. I’ll take it as a compliment.” There’s a flicker of something more in her gaze, a warmth that makes your heart skip a beat.
- For the rest of the day, Zatanna’s attentiveness is subtle but constant. Whether it’s conjuring a chair for you before you realize you need one or creating a small shield of magic to block an errant gust of wind, she seems to anticipate your needs before you do. Her usual theatrics are softened when she’s with you, her laughter quieter, her gestures more intimate. Every time your eyes meet, it feels like she’s casting a spell meant just for you.
- Later, under the moonlit sky, Zatanna’s playful demeanor gives way to sincerity. “You’re the one thing I can’t pull out of a hat,” she says softly, her voice laced with vulnerability. “You make me feel
real. Not just a magician, not just a performer. Just Zatanna.” She takes your hand, her touch warm and steady. “And that, my dear, is the most magical thing of all.”
Wally West aka. Flash
- Wally West is pure energy, his enthusiasm and humor as infectious as his speed. Today, as he zips around the room, a blur of red and gold, you can’t help but laugh. You’re so distracted that you don’t see the chair leg in your path until it’s too late. Before you can fall, Wally appears beside you in an instant, catching you with a grin. “Whoa there, beautiful,” he says, his voice warm and teasing. “Need me to slow down for you?”
- He steadies you, his hands firm but gentle. “You okay?” he asks, his green eyes sparkling with concern and amusement. When you nod, he flashes a playful smirk. “Good. Because if you’d gotten hurt, I’d never forgive myself.” His words are light, but the way he looks at you is anything but.
- For the rest of the day, Wally’s attention is as quick as his reflexes. He’s always there before you need him, whether it’s catching a falling object or pulling out a chair for you before you sit. His usual cockiness softens in your presence, his jokes more thoughtful, his smiles more genuine. When he catches you watching him, he winks, his grin wide and unapologetic.
- Later, as the two of you walk along a quiet path, Wally’s humor gives way to sincerity. “You’re my favorite kind of distraction,” he admits, his voice soft. “You make me want to slow down, to savor every moment.” He looks at you, his gaze open and earnest. “You’re the one thing in my life that feels like it’s moving at the right speed.” His words are heartfelt, and as you take his hand, he smiles, his usual energy tempered by a quiet contentment.
Dinah Lance aka. Black Canary
- Dinah Lance is a whirlwind of strength and elegance, her confidence as striking as her Canary Cry. You’ve always admired her, but today, as she moves effortlessly through the crowd, her laughter ringing like music, you’re utterly captivated. So much so that you don’t notice the edge of the stage until you trip. Before you can fall, Dinah is there, catching you with a grace that takes your breath away. “Easy there,” she says, her voice warm with concern. “Are you okay?”
- Her hands linger on your arms as she steadies you, her blue eyes scanning your face for any sign of injury. “You’ve got to watch where you’re going,” she teases, though her tone is soft. “But hey, if you wanted my attention, you didn’t have to go to such extremes.” Her playful smile is disarming, but the way her gaze lingers on you hints at something deeper.
- For the rest of the evening, Dinah’s protectiveness is evident in the smallest gestures. She keeps an arm around your shoulder in crowded spaces and subtly positions herself between you and any potential hazards. Her usual fiery confidence is tempered by a quiet warmth whenever she looks at you. It’s in the way her laughter softens when you’re near and the way her touch lingers just a moment longer than necessary.
- Later, under the glow of city lights, Dinah’s playful demeanor gives way to sincerity. “You’re something special, you know that?” she says, her voice soft but firm. “In a world full of noise, you’re the one thing that makes sense.” She steps closer, her hand brushing yours. “I’ve been through a lot, but you
you make me feel like it’s all worth it.” Her words are raw and heartfelt, and as you smile, she pulls you into a gentle embrace, her touch as fierce and tender as the woman herself.
Victor Stone aka. Cyborg
- Victor Stone is a balance of humanity and technology, his heart as strong as the metal that encases him. Today, as he works on a new project, his focus sharp and unwavering, you can’t help but admire his determination. So much so that you don’t notice the stray cable on the floor until it’s too late. You trip, but before you can hit the ground, a mechanical arm catches you effortlessly. “Gotcha,” Victor says, his voice warm despite the metallic undertone. “You okay?”
- He steadies you, his human hand brushing against yours as he checks for injuries. “You’ve gotta watch your step,” he says, his tone half-teasing. “But hey, if you needed an excuse to get close, you didn’t have to trip.” His grin is disarming, but the way his eyes linger on you speaks of genuine concern—and something more.
- For the rest of the day, Victor is quietly attentive. He adjusts the environment to make things easier for you, whether it’s dimming a too-bright light or creating a comfortable space for you to sit. His usual confidence is softened when he’s with you, his gestures thoughtful and deliberate. When he catches you looking at him, his smile becomes a little shy, a rare vulnerability that makes your heart flutter.
- Later, as the two of you sit in the soft glow of his lab, Victor opens up in a way he rarely does. “Sometimes, it’s hard to feel human,” he admits, his voice low and introspective. “But you
you make me feel like I’m more than circuits and metal. Like I’m enough.” He looks at you, his gaze steady and earnest. “You see me for who I am, and that
that means everything.” His words are quiet but powerful, and as you smile, he relaxes, his grin returning as he takes your hand.
Shayera Hol aka. Hawkgirl
- Shayera Hol is a force of nature, her strength and fiery spirit unmatched. Today, as she spars with another hero, her mace gleaming in the sunlight, you’re captivated by her sheer presence. So much so that you don’t notice the uneven ground beneath your feet. You trip, but before you can fall, Shayera is there, catching you with a warrior’s precision. “Careful,” she says, her voice firm but laced with concern. “The ground isn’t as forgiving as I am.”
- She steadies you with surprising gentleness, her intense gaze softening as she looks you over. “You okay?” she asks, her tone quieter now. When you nod, she smirks. “Good. Because if you’d gotten hurt, I’d have to hunt down whatever tripped you.” Her teasing tone is matched by the warmth in her eyes, a flicker of affection that catches you off guard.
- Throughout the day, Shayera’s protectiveness is both fierce and subtle. She walks close enough to shield you from potential hazards, her wing occasionally brushing against your shoulder. Her usual intensity softens in your presence, her sharp wit tempered by moments of quiet affection. When she catches you watching her, she raises an eyebrow, her smirk daring you to look away—but you never do.
- Later, as the two of you sit beneath the stars, Shayera’s tough exterior cracks just a little. “You make me feel
different,” she admits, her voice low and thoughtful. “Like I don’t always have to fight. Like I can just be.” She looks at you, her expression uncharacteristically vulnerable. “You’re the one thing in this world I’d fight for, not because I have to, but because I want to.” Her words are raw, her honesty breathtaking, and when you smile, she relaxes, her smirk returning as she leans closer.

(separate) lucifer and striker with an s/o who fell from the heavens headcanons!! the more closer they get, the more they realize their s/o was one of the angels on the council but didn’t condone the extermination — of which, they were casted down to hell.
Lucifer | Striker X Reader [Romantic]
In which they know you are a fallen angel, but not the extent to which you protected hell. Reader is genderneutral.
Tumblr media
Lucifer could sense your presence quite fast
But only because you weren't an exterminator—no, you were something far stronger
It pained him to see a new angel cast down, the first since he was, bloodied and caught in the fiery pit you'd have to call home
He understood you must have been an angel that came along after him, though, because he didn't recognize you
Either way, Lucifer offered you a place to stay and let you adjust to life in hell through his lens—a safe house where demons couldn't bother you as much
Of course, he also wanted to make sure the news of your existence didn't get out
He could only imagine the kinds of people who might want to get their hands on a fresh angel
Even though he was cast down himself, Lucifer is very flattered that you know him and that you speak so highly of him
You quickly worm your way into his heart, and he loves talking to you a lot about his past and all the things he kept buried within him
Even down here, you still seemed happy, although a tad uneasy
He won't pressure you for your backstory too much, but with his knowledge of heaven he is able to gather that you were at least a mid-ranking angel on the council
Your position exactly, he wasn't sure
He only found out after he spoke about his daughter's plan with the hotel
" Thats a wonderful idea! They may cast me down for demanding an end to extermination, but I won't let them ruin your daughters redemption plans. "
You dropped it so casually that he almost missed it, swooning at how supportive of Charlie you were
Actually chokes
Please give him a moment to catch his breath because, wait, really?
That explains a lot, at least
Of course, heaven would cast down the most beautiful of angels just for being kind to even the most damned beings
That same anger within him roars back to life, both for you being shut down and for how he, too, was treated in heaven
He'd make sure your life was far better here, no matter what it took
Tumblr media
Being a fallen angel is already an extremely worrisome background for Striker, especially following his hate for royalty
Not that a fallen angel is royalty, but the power dynamic is hard for him to get over, as guilty as he feels now for holding it against you
When you first met, he saved you from another bounty hunter
Saved is the wrong word
He stole you so he could get a prize himself
But it all backfired when you were just so kind and curious, and offering you up to some terrible people didn't feel like the right move
Striker told himself he'd hold onto you until he knew the true value of an angel, but that may have just been him stalling for time
Either way, your charm worked wonders, and now he was stuck with the most attention-grabbing partner in all of hell
Oh well, he knew he could protect you
While he was curious about your life in heaven, Striker was extremely used to not asking questions about others past
But the more he knew, the more he wanted to know
Every few months, you'd tell a story that revealed a new interesting piece of information, things that made him wonder what you had to have done to be so harshly cast down
It all made sense when he puzzled it together one afternoon, when you were particularly fond of your past memories
" I hope Em isn't in trouble too. "
" Why so? "
" Well, she also thought killing demons was pretty bad... "
" Of course, hun. "
As usual he nods along with you before he freezes and jumps out of his chair
" Hol on now, what? "
Striker is able to puzzle things together fast, and he's not sure if he's more pissed at the angels above you or if he's surprised you felt that way
He'd always assumed no angels thought good of demons, but this changed things
Next extermination, he wants to have a hand at capturing one of those winged fuckers and seeing if he can force some more out of them
Tumblr media
Author's Note - DEVIL FINALLY I GOT TO UR REQ!!! More Striker content, love to see it- and ofc Lucifer, who I know is about to be eaten up by every person in this god forsaken community. Thank you for requesting đŸ–€

You yawned as you trudged through your dim apartment with your arms full of your latest grocery shop you had forced yourself to pick up just after your shift. It had been one of the most hectic nights you had experienced ever since moving to the city, something you were quickly learning you needed to adjust to because your shifts were far more intense than they were when you lived in a rural town and it didn’t help that it happened to be a friday night. You wanted nothing more than to change into your pjs and fall asleep to whatever animated show appeared on your laptop first.
Once you finished putting your groceries away, you made your way to your bathroom but froze when you spotted the splatter of blood in the doorway. You took a tentative step back and noticed that drops of blood led, or came from, the door to your apartment that you had failed to notice in your overworked state. You put your brain into gear as your mind raced at the literal countless possibilities of what could be behind your bathroom door. Why the hell did you move to the city?
“If you're that unobservant I’m not sure I want your help,” a voice called from the other side of the door. You pushed it open slightly, enough to see a covered figure slumped against your bathtub in a mess of blood. Your first aid kit was by their side and had clearly been torn into and disregarded by the stranger who you suddenly recognised.
“You’re the ronin,” you stated, unsure whether to call the police or ambulance first.
“Yep,” the voice grunted as they gripped their side. You couldn’t see any injuries through the thick suit but you could gather that that was where the most pressing one was situated. “And you’re a paramedic,” they stated. “Do your job,” they ordered, their grey eyes locking on yours with a silent threat.
“You need an ambulance,” you told them, taking a cautious step back but halting immediately when the masked stranger pulled a handgun out from behind their back and pointed it straight at you.
  “No ambulance,” they spat.
“Okay,” you swallowed as you raised your hands and gradually moved to kneel down next to them in the cramped bathroom. They watched your every move as you opened your bathroom cabinet and grabbed everything you needed. In your experience, you had witnessed enough home accidents that you were prepared for any kind of injury you could endure in your flat, luckily for the stranger. “I need to see it,” you told them as you held up the sterilising wipes. They nodded, pulling at the gap in their suit to display the deep incision in their side.
Though you had many questions about the injury before you, you didn’t dare ask them as you worked silently in cleaning the area. “You need to take the suit off, I can’t see what I’m doing,” you told them honestly.
“No,” they countered immediately. You paused for a second when you heard the feminine undertone in their voice peek through, apparently in too much pain to continue to try and disguise it.
“But I need-” you didn’t finish your request because she cocked her gun as she continued to keep it in line with you. Your heart thrummed in your chest, never having been so close to an actual gun before. You eyed the weapon as you brought several fresh wipes up the slash and ran them gently over the top, producing a sharp hiss from the stranger. “Sorry,” you muttered without any actual sympathy. She glared at you and used her free hand to pull at her suit from the neck, dragging it down until it pooled at her waist and gave you full access to the slash you now realised to be far bigger than you had anticipated and bleeding heavily. You cursed, pressing your nearest towel to the gash with a calculated amount of pressure.
“Can you hold it?” You asked. Her head tilted to the side as she assessed you, most likely sure that you were trying to trick her. “I need to prepare the stitches,” you told her seriously, recognising that the vigilante’s life was very much in your hands. She agreed and held the rough fabric with her free hand as she watched you swiftly sterilise and prep the equipment needed with a practised efficiency that pushed your fight or flight to the back of your mind so you could focus on the task at hand.
“How long ago did this happen?” You questioned as you brought the needle up to her exposed flesh. You needed to keep her talking but the information was crucial as well, even if you were limited as to what you could do with it on your own.
“An hour,” she guessed, grunting when you began to push the needle in. “Fuckers,” she cursed.
“More than one?” You enquired as you worked steadily.
“That’s the norm,” she told you openly, perhaps feeling the need to distract herself. “They just don’t usually manage to hit me back,” she chuckled through the pain.
“So I’ve heard,” you muttered, feeling the woman shoot you a look that you didn’t acknowledge. “Why did you come to me?” You continued.
  “You were
closest,” she told you, her breathing growing heavier by the second. You were half way through and she was still losing too much blood.
“Yeah? You know where all the paramedics live?” You half joked.
“Only the pretty ones,” she couldn’t help but quip. You glanced up, noticing the sparks of mischief that were struggling to get through the fog of pain. You didn’t entertain her remark, even if you were fully aware of how her abs were tensing as you stitched her up.
“No one knows who you are, why didn’t you just take the suit off and call for an ambulance?” You questioned as you started to finish up.
“And pay thousands for something I can get you to do for free?” She struggled to laugh again.
“It’s not the same,” you were quick to interject. “I’ve stopped the bleeding but I have no idea what kind of damage you’ve sustained,” you pointed out in hopes that the stranger would understand how limited you were as to what you could do for her.
“Figure it out,” she countered as though it was that simple, pushing the gun further towards you.
“If you kill me you’ll probably die too,” you told her. “And I thought you only went after the bad guys,” you challenged, letting your adrenaline talk for you.
“I go after people who cause me problems,” she replied, returning your challenging gaze with more intensity. You were the first to avert your eyes. “I’ll sleep on your couch,” she announced.
“Not in those bloody clothes,” you objected. “You can wear some of mine,” you told her adamantly. She stared back at you as you got up off of the bloody floor that you knew you were going to need to clean as soon as she was out of the bathroom. “You can keep the mask on,” you told her as you left, rolling your eyes to yourself.
You brought back some grey sweatpants and navy blue sweatshirt, assuming it would be best to give the stranger the darkest shirt you had in case she stained it. “Let me help,” you offered when she grimaced at the stretch of lifting the shirt up.
“No,” she objected at once. You huffed at her stubbornness, hoping that you weren’t going to have to have her as a houseguest for too long.
“If you pull your stitches out I’m not putting them back in,” you told her as you shut the door to give her some privacy. That was a lie, you would put them back in, but you wouldn’t be happy about it.
You walked to your kitchen with a shaky exhale, feeling your adrenaline wear off by the minute but also finding yourself becoming less unnerved by the ronin. You didn’t believe she was going to hurt you and you could see her threats were entirely empty, but you did want to help her. It was inconvenient to say the least to have someone of her character laying in your bathroom and her demeanour was beginning to get on your nerves, but your blind (and probably reckless) need to help her was the exact reason you became a paramedic. The only thing you needed to consider was whether or not to call an ambulance once she no doubt passed out on your sofa. You predicted it wouldn’t take long in her condition.
You brought a pan of water to the boil and added enough pasta for two with the intention of trying to encourage your guest to eat but you paused when you heard a dull thud from the bathroom. You left the pasta to cook as you knocked on the door and called out. “Everything okay in there?” You asked. You didn’t get a response for a few seconds.
“No,” she admitted. You opened the door to her gripping onto your bathtub with a frustrated might as she attempted to haul herself to her feet. You quickly got to her side and put your hand around her waist to help her to her feet with some difficulty. She didn’t thank you once she was standing but continued to use your assistance to go the short distance to your sofa where she ungracefully collapsed down with a groan. You took in her outfit with some amusement, wondering if she felt as ridiculous as she looked to be wearing the ronin hood and balaclava with your clothes. She glared at you when you caught her eye and you knew she could tell what your opinion on her attire was.
“You gonna sleep in that?” You asked with a small smile.
“I don’t think you’re one to judge fashion choices,” she quipped irritably. You looked down at your outfit with a frown. What the hell?
“I just got off a twelve hour shift,” you exclaimed. “It’s this or have everyone on the subway ask me to look at their foot funguses,” you told her defensively, remembering the day you had forgotten to bring a change of clothes and went home in your uniform.
“Fungi,” she corrected. You chewed the inside of your cheek as you went back to the kitchen to prepare a few more ingredients in silence, glaring at the stranger every so often but also checking that she was still conscious
or even alive.
Once everything was left to simmer, you returned to the bathroom to begrudgingly clear up only to notice that the handgun was laying abandoned on the floor. You wondered if the ronin realised, assuming she wouldn’t have pointed it out or asked you to retrieve it for her under the assumption that you would refuse or even use it against her but you didn’t entertain the idea for a second, instead moving it to the side with your foot as you began to clean the floor and reorganise your cabinet.
The stranger was watching you when you stepped out of the bathroom, gun in hand. She stared at you warily, eyes darting down to her weapon and shifting when you started in her direction slowly. “To be honest with you,” you started as you glanced down at the gun. “It’s probably smarter if you keep ahold of this,” you told her, holding the barrel as you extended the weapon towards her that she swiftly grabbed ahold of. Following the possibility that anyone had followed her to your apartment, it was easy to conclude she would be far more useful with the weapon. “Please don’t make me regret that,” you winced at her abruptness.
To your surprise, she emptied the ammo out of the handgun into her lap and placed them all on the table next to her along with the gun. “Thanks,” you muttered. “You should eat,” you told her as you went to dish up your own plate. She didn’t reply so you put the rest of the meal onto another plate and handed it to her with cutlery and didn’t leave much room for her to protest. “I’d rather not have you die in my flat, my landlord already hates me,” you told her as you sat down on the chair opposite the tv and switched it on.
“Why?” She asked out of sheer curiosity.
“He hates everyone,” you shrugged, glancing over at the stranger and noticing she was making no move to start eating. “If you take the mask off I promise not to look,” you assured with complete honesty, even if you were curious as to what kind of face lay underneath. She looked back at you for a few moments before pulling the mask and hood off in front of you.
You blinked, now that was not what you were expecting. The raven haired woman stared back at you blankly until a small smirk flickered across her lips upon the recognition that you were accidentally checking her out. Despite being ghostly pale from the blood loss and looking entirely dishevelled, you couldn’t deny that the woman sitting in your living room was hot. Your eyes flickered to hers and you quickly looked away when you saw her smirk and forced your attention onto the tv that was playing one of the Transformers films. You didn’t turn it off, instead beginning to eat and seeing the ronin do the same out of the corner of your eye.
You sat in silence until you both finished your meal, content on letting the overly animated action scenes fill the room. You could feel the raven haired woman’s gaze settling on you from time to time and you tried not to acknowledge it but it proved difficult once you had seen her green eyes more clearly. “Thank you,” she said once she finished.
“No problem,” you muttered as you took both your plates into the kitchen and began washing up. “I noticed you helped yourself to some painkillers,” you called from the sink.
“They didn’t do shit,” the woman grumbled. “I need something stronger,” she told you.
“You’ll need a prescription for that,” you said, already knowing what she was getting at.
“Can’t you get me some?” She questioned as she peered at you.
“No, and you’re not the first to ask me that,” you told her. “If you want something stronger you’ll have to go to-”
“Yeah, yeah I get it thanks,” she waved. You smiled to yourself as you watched her grumble, finding it kind of unfair that she was able to look that attractive when she was bleeding out and pissed off.
“What’s your name?” You asked when the ads began to play on the tv. The woman turned to you with a raised brow.
“You really think I’d tell you that?” She questioned.
“I generally like to know the names of the people who sleep over,” you said. She began to smirk again and shifted herself slightly so that she had a better view of you from her spot on the sofa.
“And do you get a lot of people sleeping over?” She enquired with an interested grin.
“Not when there’s someone bleeding out on my sofa. Tends to put them off,” you teased right back, earning a more genuine smile from her. “Come on, I’m not gonna tell anyone. Who would even believe me? Which is what you must have been thinking when you took the mask off,” you pushed, strolling back into the living room where you settled on the arm of the sofa. “I’m y/n,” you greeted.
“I know,” she said simply as she repositioned again with a firm hand to her stomach.
“Well now it really is only fair that I know your name,” you pointed out. She hummed, looking you up and down as though she was trying to decide if she could truly trust you or not. She already did - to an extent. She knew she could trust you to save her life and she knew she could trust you to provide refuge for a couple days, she just wasn’t sure if she was willing to extend it any further until she caught sight of her gun still placed next to her.
  “Kate,” she said simply.
Kate, that suited her, you thought.
“Nice to meet you, Kate,” you offered.
  “Really?”
“Well, no to be honest, I planned on having a quiet night but I guess the company could be worse,” you replied transparently though the smile teasing your lips simply made Kate hum in understanding.
“I’ll be out of your hair soon,” she told you sincerely.
  “It’s alright
honestly,” you assured, not wanting her to push herself too suddenly and ending up causing more damage. She nodded and you noticed the exhaustion suddenly hit Kate full on as she settled herself into the sofa. You grabbed her a water bottle, more painkillers and a couple blankets from your room and by the time you returned to her she was out cold. You walked towards her tentatively and placed two fingers to her wrist as you watched the steady rise and fall of her chest. Surprisingly, her pulse was steady so you turned the main light off and put on a nearby lamp so that you would be able to come and check on her throughout the night.
As you lay in your bed that night, you heavily contemplated making a call to your fellow first responders. Although Kate’s condition was stable each time you checked on her and she had seemed to be coping surprisingly well with it when she was awake, you couldn't say for sure that she would stay that way. More so, if she didn’t make it through the night, that would be on you for not getting her the help she needed. Yet remembering how adamant she had been about you not calling anyone, you complied with her wish and instead checked on her periodically until the morning came.
“You’re awake,” you stated when you ventured into the main space to find Kate sat up.
“Did you come in here last night?” She questioned with a slight frown.
“A couple times,” you admitted. “To check on you,” you added. You felt Kate’s gaze on you as you poured some water into the kettle. “Coffee?”
“No thanks,” she replied, apparently not wanting to enquire further about your visits. You let the appliance boil as you turned back to her and chewed the inside of your cheek, trying to see if her shirt was soaked through across her torso.
“I should check that,” you told her.
“Hurts like a bitch,” she muttered as she lifted her sweatshirt up for you to assess.
During the night it had crossed your mind that Kate might have some kind of advanced healing, but as you examined her wound you noticed that she definitely didn’t have such abilities and had to make do with a normal healing factor. The slash had weeped slightly around the edges but it also wasn’t looking any worse which was the best realistic result you could have hoped for.
“Just needs a bit of cleaning,” you informed her.
“I’ll do it, just leave the stuff with me,” she said without looking at you.
“Sure,” you nodded and brought the cleaning wipes to her. You tried to be subtle as you watched Kate while you made yourself a drink, stopping yourself from jumping in everytime she winced from the contact she inflicted. You guessed she had woken up to a bruised pride and decided it would be best to leave her to it for a while as you jumped in the shower and got ready for the day.
When you came back out, Kate was asleep again. She was far more peaceful when she slept, even if it was her body’s way of providing her brief relief from her injuries. Very brief. She awoke when you picked up your keys from the kitchen island, meeting your sheepish smile. “I have a few errands to run and I should pick up some things for you,” you told her. “Do you want anything?” She shook her head. “Try and get some rest,” you prompted because it seemed as though she was reluctant to.
You closed the apartment door and lingered for a moment in the hallway as you considered whether or not you should really be leaving Kate alone. But it wasn’t something you could put off. You needed more supplies for her. With that in mind, you set off, leaving Kate to entertain herself inside your apartment for the next hour.
Though you came back to the tv playing, you were convinced Kate spent the entire time sleeping by the way the blankets were wrapped around her. She inevitably startled awake when the door opened but you had been able to catch a glimpse at the image of her with the blankets pulled up to her chin. “Good nap?” You couldn’t help but comment despite her irritable mood before you left. She didn’t respond so you pulled some fresh wipes and pain relief out your bag, Kate’s eyes widening at the later.
“Are these stronger?” She asked as she examined the pack.
“Supposedly, they’re a new brand,” you explained, which seemed to be enough for Kate because she downed the maximum dosage at once. “And I got you some soup,” you added.
  “Thanks grandma,” Kate chuckled.
“Or I can just have it myself,” you pointed out with a huff.
  “You wouldn’t,” Kate tested.
“No, and you’re lucky for that.” The raven haired woman hummed with a smile as you warmed up the meal dutifully.
The rest of the day went by with relative ease because Kate spent the majority of it sleeping. It seemed she needed it though every time she woke up she denied it with a swift disregard that always made you roll your eyes. You supposed someone so used to having the physical highground had a hard time admitting she had human weaknesses because she could never afford to show them, making you wonder what Kate’s life was like beyond her vigilante pastime. Did she work? Did she have a family? Friends? You knew that she wasn’t going to give you an answer to those questions but you still couldn’t help but ponder them when you caught a glance of her flicking through the tv channels.
“You’re very indecisive,” you said when you glanced up from your phone to see Kate still flicking through ten minutes later.
“When did tv get so bad?” She grumbled.
“You don’t watch it much?” You pried.
“I never have the time,” she told you absently before tossing the remote back to you to pick something out.
“Too many criminals to kill?” You continued.
“This is New York,” she shrugged.
“But that’s like, not all you do, right?” You pushed gently, waiting for the raven haired woman to pull a wall up at a moment’s notice.
“Of course not,” she said instead.
“So what do you do? Apart from crash on stranger’s sofas?” You smiled.
“Things I need to get back to,” she answered.
  Damn.
“Can I check it?” You asked when you noticed Kate shift uncomfortably. She didn’t hesitate to nod, lifting her shirt up before you were even standing. You crouched down in front of the sofa and inspected the wound under Kate’s gaze. “How’s the pain?”
“Bearable,” she muttered as she watched you examine her. “Do you treat a lot of people with injuries like this?” She asked seemingly at random.
“It’s not as common as people think, but I’ve dealt with my fair share,” you explained. “In my old job a lot of the calls we got were false alarms,” you recalled. “I kinda miss that.”
  “So why are you here?”
“I wanted a new challenge I suppose,” you told her.
  “I get that,” Kate agreed.
“Evidently,” you quipped as you pulled her shirt back down, the tips of your fingers grazing her toned stomach as they went. “Is that what you have to get back too as well?”
“Yep,” she huffed, switching her attention back to the tv as you willed yourself not to think about how her abs had flexed under your touch and how her other muscles would feel under your fingertips.
“Me too, I’ll be up at six tomorrow morning for work and I won’t be back until nine,” you told her as you sat back down. “You gonna be okay?” You asked as casually as you could, having learnt that Kate didn’t respond well to sympathy.
“I’ll be waiting patiently to hear about all the other people who have been stabbed that you heal,” she replied simply, placing a hand over her bandage. You hummed in amusement.
“I’ll make sure to get some good stories,” you quipped.
“Then you should probably go to bed,” Kate responded as she glanced at the clock on the wall.
“Are you trying to get rid of me in my own home, Kate?” You smiled and your guest tried to conceal her own grin at your comment.
“Perhaps,” was all she said as she pretended to be interested in the tv.
“Don’t worry, I can take a hint,” you insisted, standing up from your armchair. “Just shout if you need me, okay?” Kate nodded unconvincingly but given her current state you knew you were going to end up checking on her at least a couple times anyway.
“Thank you,” she muttered once your back was to her. It carried a sincerity you hadn’t heard from Kate before and shocked you momentarily.
“No problem,” you shrugged, not sure what else to say so you carried on through the small apartment to your bedroom.
*
You stared down at the note with an etch of confusion that you knew you knew you shouldn’t really have felt. From what you had learnt about the vigilante, this hardly seemed out of character. Kate was gone and the only trace she had left that she had ever stayed on your sofa was the note on your coffee table where her gun had been. You had anticipated that when she eventually left you wouldn’t get a goodbye, but you hadn’t expected it to be so soon. Sure, she was stable and yes she was a less than convenient house guest, but you were undeniably concerned for the vigilante.
Thanks for patching me up, doc. See you around ;) -K
You wondered if she really did have the intention to come and see you again but quickly dismissed that thought, knowing that if Kate did come back to your apartment, it would be with another injury for you to deal with and not just for the pleasure of your company. You were entirely right. It was almost two months later when you found Kate in your apartment again.
“I thought you said you had other paramedics to bother,” you huffed as you shut your apartment door and threw your bag to the side, missing your coat rack by a metre.
“Are you drunk?” Kate interrogated with a frown as she watched you make your unsteady way towards her.
“It’s friday night,” you shrugged. “I do have a life you know,” you mumbled as you knelt before where Kate was sitting on your sofa to see the wound of her calf she had exposed. Gunshot wound.
“Miraculously. How did you not freeze to death in that getup?” She quipped as she took in your band tee and ripped jeans.
“After everything I do for you, you always have something to say about my clothes,” you grumbled. Kate smirked as she watched you sort through everything she had raided your bathroom of, half considering leaving to find a paramedic that was sober. “You don’t need stitches this time,” you commented so Kate decided to stay and entertain herself. “And you’re lucky I didn’t bring that girl home,” you continued as you began to clean her calf.
“Oh yeah?” Kate pushed with interest.
“Oh yeah, there could be someone else on this sofa right now,” you said somewhat proudly.
“Then how come there’s not?” She asked as she watched you work, thinking to herself that she could grow used to the sight of you kneeling in front of her.
“My friend got wasted so I wanted to make sure she got home okay,” you recalled. “So now I won’t be getting laid tonight.” Kate hummed.
“Ask nicely and we’ll see,” the raven haired woman shrugged. You scoffed as you finished up, ignoring the unfairly attractive smirk playing on Kate’s lips.
“You’re funny,” you disregarded as you felt your blood rush to your cheeks.
When you emerged from the bathroom to put everything back where Kate had grabbed it from, you noticed her lacing her boots back on, apparently ready to leave. “There’s no need to stay the night this time,” she shrugged. That was true and she was the single most irritating guest you had ever had, but you had somewhat wished she would stick around a bit longer. Kate was annoying as hell, but also had her moments of being amusing to be around. Not to mention she was certainly easy on the eyes and you wouldn’t object to seeing a glimpse of her muscles again. You definitely just needed to get laid.
“Do you want me to turn around so you can sneak out again?” You quipped.
“I thought I’d be generous and let you watch me go,” she replied with a wink as stood.
“Generous would be wearing a tighter fitting outfit,” you fired back just as easily before turning back to your room. “Until next time, Kate,” you waved over your shoulder, missing how her eyes watched your figure go.
*
The next time you saw Kate, it wasn’t in your apartment, it was while you were working. It certainly wasn’t a situationship you had ever visualised playing out and if you had it would have been through a nightmare instead of one of the occasional daydreams you had of her.
“Fuck, maybe if we just offer this guy to them they’ll go,” your coworker called out from the opposite side of the room where he hid behind an upturned sofa.
“Absolutely not,” you snapped as you continued to attempt to stop the bleeding of the man lying unconscious by you.
“L/n, this guy might be just as bad as them. It’s him or us,” your coworker continued until another rain of bullets fired across the apartment. It wouldn’t be long before they finally broke into the house and realistically, you predicated it would happen before the cops showed up. You cursed to yourself, weighing the options that you should never have had to. “I didn’t sign up for this,” he continued to groan.
More demands came from outside the house in a language you couldn’t identify or hope to understand. You didn’t have much more time to ponder it though, because the door burst open and three men charged inside. You squeezed your eyes shut at the sight of the heavy guns just a couple feet from you, waiting for the inevitable. However, instead of feeling the bullets tear through your body, you heard the yelling turn into distressed cries and the striking sound of a blade piercing the air then flesh.
You peered up, relieved at the sight of Kate, or the ronin, cutting the intruders down with impressive ease and precision. Her skills were enchanting to witness, even if they did cause a bloody end to those she fought but you had little sympathy for them. In a matter of moments, the intruders lay dead at Kate’s feet just as the sirens came into proximity. Kate glanced back at you briefly, reading the thank you from your lips, before leaving with swift haste.
*
“You’re welcome,” Kate said as you stepped through your main door. You barely glanced in the direction of where she stood in the kitchen, helping herself to the beer from your fridge.
“That was crazy,” you sighed as you sauntered to the kitchen and took the beer out of Kate’s hands to take a swig.
“Hey, I earned that,” she told you so you placed it back in her hands. “And now we’re even. You saved my life and I saved yours.” She told you matter of factly.
“I also dealt with your leg,” you pointed out as you grabbed one of the microwaveable meals you kept for the days like that where you couldn’t be bothered to cook. “And bought extra supplies for you, let you stay the night, eat my food and drink,” you continued as you punched in the numbers and let the appliance start cooking.
“Want me to buy you flowers?” Kate asked with a raised brow as she leant back on the counter. You rolled your eyes with a poorly concealed smile.
“I want to destress after that shit show,” you said simply.
“I could help with that,” she suggested lowly, taking a step towards you with that mischievous look in her eye.
“Yeah? You wanna go run me a bath?” You questioned as you watched Kate draw closer.
“I had the bedroom in mind,” she said far too slyly as she stepped into your space and placed a hand on the counter behind you to trap you in place.
“You seem comfortable here,” you whispered. No need to shout when your lips were an inch away from hers.
“So do you,” she bit back, adamant on having the last word as she cupped your chin and closed the gap between you.
She tasted of the beer she had stolen but also something that was uniquely and indescribably Kate. You didn’t know her very well. You didn’t know her body, her scent or her taste, but at that moment of contact you swore you would learn every inch of her and judging by the way her free hand gripped your waist, Kate felt that same need.
“You want this?” She asked between breathless kisses. You merely moaned in approval when she slipped her tongue between your lips and gripped onto her collar to immerse yourself deeper.
“Fuck me,” you told her as you took the hand on your waist and guided it to the waistband of your trousers. She watched you with darkened eyes as you pushed her hand past the fabric to feel the thin cloth between her skin and yours. Kate groaned lowly as she met the damp material, pushing you further into the kitchen counter as you withdrew your hand to let her do as she pleased.
“Eyes on me, pretty girl,” the vigilante demanded as she teased your covered lips. “You’re so wet. You know, if you wanted me to fuck you this bad, all you had to do was ask,” she smirked, You had just enough defiance left in you to retort but never got the chance because Kate slipped two fingers inside yu without another word, admiring the shock and lust in your locked eyes as she did so.
“Kate,” you whined as she wasted no time in pumping her digits steadily into you.
“You feel so good wrapped around me,” she told you with a smirk that only made you wetter. She didn’t miss your body’s response, feeling you clench as she fingered you faster and delved into your depths deep enough to make your head spin. She was working your body with an eager haste as she watched carefully for what made you react in the ways she searched for.
“So responsive,” she muttered to herself more than you. You didn’t respond, too focused on how perfectly her fingers fit inside you and how she was suddenly able to find that hidden gem that made you cry out.
“Don’t stop,” you pleaded, clinging to Kate tighter as she happily complied.
“Open up a bit more, baby,” Kate coached. You did and the wet sounds from between your legs were amplified next to your moans. “So good,” the older woman praised as she began to toy with your neglected clit. You bucked into her hand at the contact, unable to stop yourself until Kate placed you firmly back down with a strong hold. The simple display of power was easy to submit to.
“M’gonna cum,” you told the archer as you constricted on her digits you wanted to keep inside. Unfortunately, Kate had other ideas and withdrew her fingers from your soaked cunt as abruptly as she had begun.
“Bedroom,” she simply ordered before you could object and delivered a firm smack to your ass as you stumbled through the apartment  and landed on your bed when Kate pushed your back.
“You’ve got too many clothes on,” she said with an etch of frustration as you turned onto your back.
“So have you,” you countered as you gazed at the dark leather suit. She did look hot in it, but you wanted to see all of her. Kate smiled in response as though you had made an endearing request and pulled your trousers and underwear off. She positioned you up the bed comfortably as she began to plant wet kisses across your legs, biting on the sensitive skin of your thighs with a grin.
Just as she neared where you needed her the most, she hauled you up and immediately strippedyou of your shirt and bra. In all honesty, you weren’t sure how to get Kate’s suit off and it didn’t seem like she was about to share. Instead, as she left light bruises in the valley between your breasts, you reached under her suit to scratch at her abs. They flexed under your touch and Kate made a noise deep in her throat. Your eyes were entrapped in her own as she made her way back down your body and settled between your legs, still fully clothed while you lay naked and desperate beneath her.
Tangling your fingers through her dark locks, you gazed down at the beautiful vigilante as she kissed your pussy, eager and open mouthed. “You taste so good, sweetheart,” she told you, flattening her tongue to truly savour the wetness she had caused. She moaned with you, sending sweet vibrations through every buzzing nerve in your system as she sought to make you come undone with her mouth. The sight alone of her face buried between your legs and peering up at you was enough to drive you wild.
Kate was arrogant about it, smirking against you as you called her name like a prayer, more than ready to tease you about it the next time you met.
She was insatiable in the way she fucked you, barely giving herself a chance to breathe as if your taste was more important. When she did pause briefly, it was to spit directly on your pussy as she watched you, like she wanted to add to the mess you had become.
“Good fucking girl,” Kate hummed and slipped her tongue inside you. “You look so precious when you squirm,” she commented as she noted your desperation as you became increasingly submerged in the pleasure. Kate gripped your thighs as she buried her tongue deep in your cunt, flexing the muscle as best she could to explore you.
You throbbed in Kate’s mouth, all too immersed in what she was doing to your body and the way she coached you to your climax again, this time with a more generous intent. “Cum for me, baby,” she ordered. You didn’t need more encouragement than that and yet Kate’s moans grew louder with your own as you came.
“Kate,” you whined as your entire body pulsed and shuddered.
“I know,” she replied as she let you ride out your orgasm with her tongue cleaning you up until you became too sensitive and pushed Kate away weakly.
With your eyes shut with exhaustion, you missed Kate working to pull down her suit trousers until she was making her way back towards you. “I’m gonna ride your face,” she told you matter of factly when you noticed her glistening cunt. You didn’t object and gripped what was uncovered of her thighs to bring her down to your awaiting mouth. She tasted heavenly. You barely noticed the rough material of her suit against your neck as you sucked on her throbbing clit. She was quieter than you, most likely wanting to keep her composure, but her arousal was clear with how she was practically dripping down your chin.
“That’s it,” she told you when she began to grind against your tongue and gave little consideration for your ability to breathe. Kate was so immersed in her pleasure that it felt as though she was merely using your body for that sole purpose and the thought drove you to suck on her harsher, needing Kate to get that relief from you.
The raven haired woman gripped onto the headboard like a lifeline as her hips moved wildly against your tongue, uttering the occasional breathy praise and flushing at the sight of your eagerness. “So willing to please, aren’t you?” She asked as if you could respond coherently.
You ignored the distant ache in your jaw when Kate’s moans became more erratic and doubled your efforts to provide her with the same bliss she had given you. “Yes, don’t stop,” she called out several times as she grinded against your face as though it was one of her own personal toys, cumming with a hitch to her breath and a sharp cry. The sight was one that would keep you up at night for the foreseeable future, envisaging the moment you made the vigilante fall apart.
Kate took her time riding out her high and peered down at you with an excited grin. “I wish I had my strap,” she muttered as moved to straddle your waist and run her hands down your torso before flipping you over.
You were about to tell her about what you had hidden in your closet when she offered something better. “But seeing how much you’ve been drooling over my abs,” she started with a well placed cockiness, “you can ride them instead,” Kate instructed as she pulled the suit up enough to expose her lower stomach and pulled you flush against her.

~ ~ ~
Since coming to the Devildom and growing closer and more comfortable with the brothers, you've promised yourself that you know better than showing how vulnerable you can get in times when your anxiety kicks in and your depression takes over.
You had always wished for a new start, a fresh one, away from those who left you all alone feeling the way you do. You had seen the exchange program at RAD as an opportunity to do just that, to forget about your life in the human world and become a new person, to try and be someone with lots of potential.
Of course, the first few months of your life living under the same roof of 7 powerful demons was chaos, but you told yourself that you won't let that break you, even though you know how close you are from falling apart. There were times when you experienced anxiety and panic attacks and your emotions getting the best of you, and you have no one to turn to, so you stay and attempt to keep quiet in the privacy of your room.
However, time passes by, and you've finally found a place for yourself in the House of Lamentation, you wondered how long it would take for you to finally show how you truly are to the brothers as you feel your mental conditions getting worse.
Your secrets were not completely unveiled, but symptoms and tendencies that occur often begin to concern the brothers, royals, and purgatory boys. They know how it feels. They've been there, but they don't know if it works the same for humans. But still, they don't stop there, and they decide to help you with small gestures.
Lucifer would reduce the works you have to do, both at RAD and at HoL. He invites you to his office or his room, insisting he needs to be kept company, but truly, he just wants to see as you relax and slowly fall asleep from whatever you decided to do as you enjoy the silence between you two, away from his brothers and all the chaos around you. Lucifer will never bring it up to you or be verbal about it. Instead, he tries to tell you through his actions that he's here for you no matter what.
Mammon makes sure he's always by your side to make sure you're laughing and having a great time. If he notices that you're being overwhelmed by his brothers and everyone else, he wil, drag you away from them and bring you to a good hiding plave with a nice and relaxing view. He will never pressure you or anything, but once he notices that you're bottling up your feelings again, he tells you that he'll keep it a secret if you cry and he won't judge you at all.
Levi invites you to game with him or sing in karaoke or watch anime or read manga, whatever it is you want. Even if he thinks he's not good at whatever you choose to do with him for a change, he will try his best at it if it makes you feel better. It's also not that he's forcing himself, but he wants to try other things for the first time, and he thinks it would be more special if he first tried it with you. Levi will try his best to comfort you. He would be awkward about it at first because he's scared he'd say something that will make you feel worse, but he still tries. He will refrain from insulting himself too in the middle of it because he knows it won't do anything good,
Satan reads books on understanding human feelings and conditions. He also reads to you whatever book genre interests you, what book you choose, or the book you bought in the human world or the Devildom, wherever it's from. He takes you to bookstores, too, as well as in cafés and to feed cats in the streets. He will do hobbies that are peaceful, not stressful, hoping it relieves you at least a bit. He will also tell you that it's okay to feel emotions, that you can go to him, and he will do anything to make you feel better. Of course, like everyone else, he will not make you feel like he's pressuring you to do so.
Asmo is a really bright demon! He's a ray of sunshine honestly, bringing positivity everywhere, reminding everyone especially the people he loves to love themselves. He would invite you to do spa with him, have a massage, skin care, and basically any self-care activities. If you're not up for it, however, he hopes you would stay with him still and he praises you, complimenting you over and over again until you tell him to stop if you want him to. He tells you he's here for you and that whatever you're going through will pass. Would tell you he loves you very much and he will help you with whatever you struggle with in your self-care and well-being. ♡
Beel offers you food, but it's okay if you reject it! He takes you to his practices and hopes to entertain you. If you want, you two can try cooking together, he promises he'll try to stop himself from eating the ingredients before you even get the chance to cook. Beel is very warm, and though he's very muscular and big (unless you have a different headcanon of him), he is still so nice to hug because he makes you feel so safe and protected. He doesn't want to let you go when he knows you're not feeling well, he wants to hug all your sadness away and make you feel better again. Like Lucifer, he won't be verbal with it. He will show his love and care for you through his actions.
Belphie says he sleeps to forget about loneliness and sadness, but he knows that's not how it always works. If you ever need someone to talk to, literally about anything, he will be the one to listen. He will try not to fall asleep. He does think that your voice sounds like a lullaby that comforts him in a way, knowing you're next to him. He wants to do the same for you, to help you feel comforted and not judged for your feelings. He cuddles with you, you can be the big spoon or he will be, you decide. He tells you he's always here for you and that he will try to understand you like how you did for him.

~~~~~
The mark on James's shoulder was still fresh when he first noticed it, its lines stark against his skin, as if the ink had been etched into his flesh with purpose.
The Leo constellation stared right back at him from his left shoulder, the letters R.A.B. inked into his skin right below the image.
It had to be impossible, right?
James had to sit down, his legs trembling and his breath coming in short. The name seemed to stare back at him, mocking him for how blind he was.
How could it be Regulus?
They had broken up almost a year ago. He had thrown Regulus away, told himself it was for the best, that he was far too consumed by the darkness that the Blacks had nurtured.
And yet.
Here it was, the truth written on his skin.
He really had been blind, hadn’t he? Throwing away a love that had just barely begun to form in the darkness of closed classroom doors and late nights at the Astronomy Tower was just the first of his mistakes.
First, he had fallen in love with Regulus.
Then, when Regulus had come back after a Christmas hols with tears in his eyes and a condemning mark on his arm, James had ended things.
He had sent Regulus away when tears were streaming down both of their faces.
Regulus had begged him to listen, to understand, but James was too bullheaded to give up his anger and frustration.
Now, there was a soulmark on his arm. A soulmark that tied him to someone that he had previously thought of as someone lost to the light.
So James threw himself into his work, hoping against all hope that he would find Regulus out there, that he’d be able to convince him to switch sides.
But it was too late.
His Regulus was gone, lost to the war.
~~~~~
Regulus Black was in pain.
He downed his last cupful of the glittering substance, wincing at it burned down his throat for the tenth (and hopefully last) time.
“Kreacher,” he rasped. “Get the locket.”
“Yes, Master Regulus. Kreacher will Apparate us-”
“No, you won’t. You will leave me here. That is an order,” Regulus croaked. His eyes caught on the glossy surface of the lake.
Water.
He needed water.
He stumbled towards the eerily calm edge, kneeling down next to the lakeshore.
He dipped his hands into the water.
For a split second, Regulus stood there in shock. There, on his right arm, mirroring his Dark Mark- there was an antler tattoo with the letters J.F.P. inscribed between them.
Then a hand shot up out of the water. It grabbed the area with the soulmark, covering it up.
Regulus Black drowned that day, alone in the cave.
He believed that his soulmate hated him.
He never could have been more wrong.
The moment James felt the soul connection snap, he fell to his knees.
He didn’t care that he was in an Order meeting- he just knew that Regulus was gone for good.
They never did have every universe.

As you come outside, your mom sits on the deck, under the umbrella with a pair of sunglasses over her eyes. You can hardly tell if she’s awake. You hug yourself as you come into the summer light and look around. There’s a bottle of sun lotion on the railing of the deck.
You cross the wooden planks and grab the bottle. As you pop the cap, your mom mutters. You turn as you squirt some into your hand. You look at her.
“Do you need some?” You ask.
“What in the lord’s name are you wearing?” She snarls.
“Um,” you look down, once more shocked by the sight of your own body. “A swim suit. I... I’ll put a shirt on.”
“Hey, Hol,” Steve comes out in a pair of lilac coloured trunks, “what do you think? Got the kiddo a swimsuit so she can enjoy the pool.”
“Oh, you did?” Your mom hums as she leans her face in her hand, “how nice.”
“Too bad you can’t join us,” Steve approaches and stops between you and your mom’s chair. “Got myself some new shorts.”
He turns to her as you’re left watching his back. His muscle is thick and you can see it tense with his movement. He’s tall and his shoulders are broad, his arms burly too. Age has only seemed to add to his strong form.
“Those are nice,” your mom says without much conviction, “I got a suit somewhere but... the water makes me sick. It’s these damn meds.”
“Yeah, but they keep you going,” Steve nears her and bends to kiss her forehead. “You can be our lifeguard, how about that? Been a while since I’ve been in the deep end.”
“You’re so...” she pauses and measures her words, “silly.”
“It’s a nice day,” he booms, “did you try the smoothie? I put some vitamin C in it, too. Should help you feel a bit better. Oh, kiddo,” he claps and turns to face you, “did you want a smoothie? I got fresh raspberries.”
“Erm, no thanks, I’m good,” you affirm and back away, focusing on spreading the lotion up your arms.
“Towels are down on the chairs,” he says, “Holly Berry,” he gives your mom a strange nickname, “you sure you don’t wanna move closer?”
“I needa stay in the shade,” she fans herself and reaches for the bright orange smoothie, “that damn inhaler. I told the doctor take me off it--”
“Now, he’s just doing his job--”
“I know. Don’t gotta keep saying so,” she slams the cup down and you glance over as her hand shakes violently. She’s worked up. She sits back as she tries to still herself, only for the tremor to quake through her.
“Right, well, chill out,” Steve shrugs and backs off, “we’ll go cool off in the water.”
He turns to face you and nears, “can I get some of that?”
You offer him the bottle then work at smearing the lotion along your collar bone and around the top of the suit. You bring your hands to your tummy, rubbing the oiliness into your skin as Steve takes the lotion. You notice his eyes linger on you for a moment.
“Come on, gotta check the temperature,” he waves you down the steps.
You follow as you continue to work the lotion into your skin. You still need to get your legs and face. You continue across the lawn to the pool and Steve dollops a health heap of lotion into one hand before giving back the bottle. He slaps his hand against his chest and rubs in the sunscreen, his fingertips pressing into his muscles as he works down to his softer tummy.
You bend to your legs. You would’ve rather a one-piece just so you wouldn’t have to use as much. As you put a light layer on your face, Steve grabs the bottle from where you left it on the lounger.
“Here, turn around,” he squirts out the lotion into his palm. “I’ll get your back, you get mine.”
You can’t argue. Besides, you can barely look at him. You’d rather stare at the fence.
You turn and drop your arms. He puts his hands over your shoulders, jolting you, kneading harder than you expect. You feel his breath fan over the back of your head and he traces his thumbs around your shoulder blade, catching on the tail of the tie behind your neck. For a moment, you think he might pull it free.
He spreads his hands, dragging them down, working in the lotion around your hips and sides, sending shivers through you. A trickle of sweat rolls down your spine and you draw away. His fingertips trail along your lower back wistfully.
“Here,” he snatches up the lotion and hands it to you, smiling. You nod and take it.
He turns his back to you and you gulp. Oof. You don’t know what’s worse. Being touched or touching him. It all seems so... strange even if it’s completely innocent. You’re just helping him. He does have a lot of back.
You squeeze out the cream and rub it between your hands, hovering them before his back before you make yourself touch him. You swipe your hands up and down and side to side, working around the lotion to full cover his back. He groans and twitches as you come along the back of his ribs.
“Careful,” he turns his head to speak over his shoulder, “old college injury. Don’t think it ever really healed.”
“Oh,” you ease up, “sorry.”
“Nah, you can’t hurt me, sweetie,” he insists and leans into your touch.
You finish up and retract, trying to absorb what’s left into your palms. The greasy sensation irritates you. He turns as you reach to fix the tie behind your neck, making sure it’s tight as it feels like the suit is slipping. He blinks and his eyes flick up and down.
“Well, are you gonna dive in?” He asks.
“Erm, uh, I can just use the ladder,” you say as you tiptoe around him to the edge. You look down into the crystalline water, “it looks cold.”
“Got the heater going,” he says, “shouldn’t be too bad.”
He stands beside you and extends his leg to dip a toe into it, “not bad at all.”
“Mm, maybe in a few minutes,” you cross your arms again, “I’m not a great swimmer.”
“Well, I can keep an eye on you,” he reaches to tickle along your upper arm, goose dumps rising across your skin.
“Sure, uh,” you edge away from him and run your fingers along where he touched. His hands are always on you. At least that’s how it seems to you. “Just... gotta build up my nerve.”
“Mm,” he backs up, “sure, well, there’s the diving board and... I guess you could just sunbathe.”
“Yeah, mayb--”
Before you can finish, you’re scooped off your feet. You cry out as Steve lifts you up and launches himself into the pool. He keeps you in his arms as he splashes into the water and you flail wildly. You’re swallowed up as the chlorine floods your mouth and nostrils and you choke beneath the surface.
You writhe against him, his thick arms around you, and try to free yourself. The knot at the front of your bikini catches your pinkie and you struggle to untangle both your hand and your body at once. You finally come up above the water and gasp as Steve follows, laughing as he keeps his embrace loosely around you.
“Sometimes you just need the extra push,” he beams, “isn’t it refreshing?”
You push the water away from your face and cough. As you do, he goes quiet and you spit up behind your hand. You can only taste the chlorinated water as you hack. You look up at him as his hands slowly creep up your sides. His blue eyes are fixated on you but not on your face.
You look down at your chest, the knot on the front of the suit barely clinging together as you spill out from the fabric. The top merely acts to frame your nudity and you sputter as you try to cover yourself and his hands continue to ascend. You back away from his grasp and turn away.
“Sweetie, it’s fine, all good,” he assures you.
“Why would you do that?” You sniffle.
“It was only some fun. I didn’t know... I’m sorry. I didn’t know the suit didn’t fit right.”
“It’s not the suit,” you stretch the wet fabric across your tits as best you can, keeping your back to him. “I said... I told you... I wanted to wait.”
“Ah come on, what good is having a pool if you don’t go in it?”
“It’s your pool,” you snap, your cheek on fire as the rest of you buzzes. You wade through the water with effort. “I never asked for it.”
“Now sweetie, don’t be like that.”
“Please,” you pull yourself up the later, the water slaking off you and threatening to drag down the top once more, “leave me alone.”
You cross your arms over your chest, hooking your hands over your shoulders, and rush away from the pool. You glance up at your mother as you pass the deck, hooking around to the gate instead. She doesn’t react as her head lolls over the back of the chair and her feet are splayed wide. You should get her inside but you can’t stop. You’re too humiliated.
You race through the gate, not bothering to close it behind you. You clammer around into your mother’s yard and storm up the steps, crashing through the front door. The tears spring the moment you break the threshold as it sets in. You can’t believe that happened. You can’t believe he saw it. You just... can’t.

I'm late, but at this point, it was to be expected, since I'm slow as hell🙈
Anyhow, here's the Valentine's Day special💖: headcanons+fanarts!
"RAD CLASSMATES+NEW EXCHANGE STUDENTS+DEVILDOM OUTSIDERS×MC"
Tumblr media
DEMYA
Demya would plan a date consisting of a food tour around various restaurants, especially those with Valentine's Day specials. Demya would also stoop so low as to pretend it's either MC's birthday or that they just proposed in order to get free desserts as a couple (she would opt for other alternatives if MC doesn't have a sweet tooth). The main course would basically consist of MC's favourite dishes, while Demya would eat a heart-shaped steak (better not to think too much about what kind of meat it is-). Once home, lots of kisses and snuggles in Demya's nest would be in order
Tumblr media
DOMNRA/MOBIM
Domnra would pretend not to care about Valentine's Day just to plan a romantic surprise for once in his life, an intimate quiet evening at home, with a nice candlelit dinner and roses for present. Later on, Mobim would join Domnra and MC on the couch to watch a movie all together, offering MC some messy heart-shaped pillows the little curse stuffed with wool itself (Mobim tried its bets without proper fingers-). In general, Domnra would behave in a more heartfelt and loving way for Valentine's Day
Tumblr media
AZUL
Azul would have many ideas running through his head to experiment with, therefore every Valentine's Day would be something different, exciting, boredom wouldn't be a problem. In general though, if Azul was in the mood to really impress MC, he would take them to an abandoned mansion, inviting them for a dance in its grand ballroom, making the experience fairytale like thanks to his magic, almost as if they were in "Beauty and the beast" (a darker version of sort, considering the ghosts playing music-). On some occasions, when he feels less lively, Azul would prefer something more intimate, such as a domestic cuddle session at home
Tumblr media
ZURI
Zuri would give the most refined and expensive gifts, it depends on MC's taste in the end, however in general she would buy high quality stuff to satisfy them, only the best is acceptable for MC, in Zuri's opinion. Moreover, Zuri would leave MC's favourite flower and an elegant outfit on their bed, with a letter attached to it, instructing MC to wear those clothes for their date in a starred restaurant, booked for the two of them only, in order to spend some quality time together. The rest of the date would continue at home, where Zuri would let MC choose whatever activity they prefer
Tumblr media
ODON
Odon has never celebrated Valentine's Day, so it would be an honor for them to share such delightful event with MC, especially since, as an eldritch horror, they aren't used to receiving invitations. To prevent Odon's presence from wreaking havoc or rising panic among Devildom inhabitants due to their infamous reputation, the date would take place at Odon's cabin, a quiet and cozy place. After doing some research on human customs on Valentine's Day, Odon would show up with some magic tampered flowers (so they won't wilt) and a crocheted blanket, knitted with their own hands as presents. Even the eye-like creatures, Bob and Rob, would act more affectionate than usual towards MC, by floating near them in a cheerful manner. Then, later that evening, Odon and MC would slow dance to some soft music played by a vintage turntable
Tumblr media
REMIEL
Remiel has no knowledge about how Valentine's Day is supposed to function, however she would be willing to learn such human custom, being rather interested in MC's culture (to be fair, Earth in general is fascinating for the archangel of hope and she enjoys discovering new things). During her research through books however, Remiel would misinterpret some info, in fact while she would still bring a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, each with heartful meanings behind them (Remiel learned flower language too-), she would also bring an uprooted bush full of flowers, cut in a neat manner with her holy light scythe, because the angel wouldn't know if just one bouquet is enough to convey her feelings
NATHANIEL
Nathaniel had never celebrated Valentine's Day before, it has always been a day like any other for the archangel of patience due to his celestial duty, therefore it felt pretty meaningless until MC's arrival in his life. Nathaniel's deadpan attitude would likely give the impression that the event doesn't concern him in the slightest, however in reality the angel would quietly ponder over the best course of actions, in order to plan a proper romantic date. In the end Nathaniel would come up with the idea of running a surprise warm bath with soap bubbles, scented candles, cute themed rubber duckies and petals, in a tub large enough to accomodate them both. After the bath, Nathaniel would give MC a slow massage (he has skilled hands-) and then relax on the bed with them, holding MC close between his arms
URIEL
Uriel thinks Valentine's Day makes no sense, because in her humble opinion everyone should cherish their significant other every single day, showing loyalty and devotion, however Uriel would still indulge MC by celebrating Valentine's Day if it matters so much to them, trying to do things she believes are traditional for humans, such as gifting stuffed animals, even if Uriel would buy way too huge ones. Moreover, due to Uriel's celestial duty as a warrior angel, her own courtship methods would be a bit...intense, in the sense that she would offer MC to bring them the head of their enemies as a token of her affection
Tumblr media
SOFIA
Sofia has never given much thought to holidays in general, since she no longer has a family to celebrate with, much less Valentine's Day, having no experience with relationships due to a lack of time and interest, the Raven witch simply considered her studies in the magic field more important, although once Sofia actually tried to brew a love potion out of pure scientific interest, for magic training purposes only. Given MC's current presence in her life as a significant other, Sofia would plan a modest date to please them. Sofia would grow thanks to a spell the perfect flower for MC, with their favorite scent, color, shape, all they would need to do is to just ask and the Raven witch would likely be able to create something that would meet their standards. Then, Sofia would prepare a small rustic picnic in the courtyard of her shophouse for MC, with her animals as guests too, which are: a raven called Onix (Sofia's familiar), a Vipera Aspis called Ambar (Sofia's deceased grandmother's familiar), and a Turkish Angora cat named Perla (a refugee)
AZARATH
Azarath, as often happens, is pretty confused about how they are supposed to behave in such situation, however they got the right spirit and that's what matters the most. They have several ideas in their head and each soul inside their body would argue over which one is the best (by the way, it's 6000 souls in total and they don't always work as a hive mind-), so in the end Azarath would end up hoarding a bit of everything for MC, such as candies, flowers, chocolate-covered fruits, shiny jewels, showing them off like a treasure from a dragon's lair, to prove they can provide for MC and that they are worthy of being their companion. Unfortunately, those gifts would be all stolen stuff, because Azarath was literally created to be evil and they try their hardest to play the role of the villain, even if most of the time they fail miserably. Azarath would also secretly like to take a stroll on a beach and watch the sunset with MC, the calm atmosphere would in fact silence their voices
JAMES
James has modernized over time, after all he had to in order to keep up, however he experiences a few moments where he misses the good old 50s, his flourishing business period basically, plus James is the only one among the RAD Classmates, New exchange students and Devildom outsiders who has ever actually got into a serious long-term relationship, so he would try to revive those moments, changing things a bit for MC on Valentine's Day, while maintaining some 50' vibes (James had a wife and a young daughter in the past, they were murdered by people who were looking for him due to his cryptid nature. He would need a long time before opening up to MC about it). For once, James would make the effort to actually spend money and buy MC a huge bouquet of their favourite flowers, adding a hand written letter as a surprise, with his true and raw feelings on it

Little D's headcanons
the Little D's have cubbies or bunk beds
Barbatos feeds the Little D's leftovers sometimes, mainly No. 6
at least twice a food fight has started among the Little D's (with the exception of No. 1) during an event and they all hid behind you when Barbatos came to scold them
if No. 1 and No. 4 happen to both be around you they will *try* to get along
No. 1
takes great pride when you compliment or comment on the state of the castle or the decor for events
makes sure to keep the other Little D's in order so your visit is less chaotic
makes sure you have everything you need during your stay and that you're comfortable
carries a clipboard while instructing the other Little D's on their tasks
No. 2
will follow you around when you visit if he has the chance, he'll happily chatter away and keep you company
likes to play with your keychains or jewelry (mainly bracelets or rings)
wants updates on Mammon so he has new material to tease him about
he'll come to you as soon as he finds out Mammon is doing something somewhere he shouldn't be and will stand behind you while you lecture Mammon (100% teases Mammon later about it)
No. 3
wants to talk to you when you visit but he tends to linger in the background if your attention is toward another Little D or he leaves and sulks somewhere until you seek him out
when he does get to talk to you it's usually about which current video game you're playing or show you're watching
if you let him he'll happily observe you playing a video game and offer tips on how to defeat bosses or where to find special items
he loves when you have commentary on a video game or show because he gets to join in and it makes him feel happy that you care about what he thinks or says
No. 4
doesn't say it but he likes it when you sometimes intervene during one of his tantrums or notice when he's frustrated/angry because you usually end up going on a walk with him around the castle or outside
usually does tasks in the library because he knows where the books go and how to take care of them properly
happily fetches any book you'd like to read and loves it when you listen to his suggestions for your next read or listen to his thoughts on a book you've just finished reading
likes it when you let him sit next to you or let him sit on your lap while you read to him
No. 5
checks himself out in any reflective surface which delays his tasks but he can't help that he's so cute
makes sure he looks his best before you arrive even though he knows you always compliment him or give him attention
makes sure there's fresh flowers in the guest room for you and loves it when you comment on how pretty they are or how good they smell and how sweet he is for doing so (sometimes he'll opt for a nice candle, and if you own a candle warmer he'll give you some wax melts to take back to the HoL)
does the flower arrangements for events and likes it when No. 1 gives him praise about them
No. 6
gets extra excited when you visit the castle because you bring him little treats sometimes
one time Barbatos caught you doing so and No. 6 took off running with a box of goldfish, leaving a small trail behind
brings you your apron and makes sure there is a hand towel nearby if your hands get messy and that you have everything you need for food prep
tries to finish his tasks quicker if you're coming over to bake/cook with Barbatos because you let him have some of the leftover ingredients or let him be your taste tester
No. 7
likes to nap in your lap or anywhere as long as it's in the same room as you
has taken a nap on your head before
he naps in odd places like Belphie does, you found him snoozing on top of the fridge one time and on top of a bookshelf (which really annoyed No. 4)
will make sure you're comfy at night, he knows if you like an extra pillow or blanket and how you like the temperature to be before bed

Random Obey Me! thought for all of you.
Imagine this. MC is having a day where they are really in pain. To the point that all the brothers just know that something is seriously wrong. So they drop everything to call Solomon and get MC to a doctor right away.
The doctor finds that MC has appendicitis (or something like that) and needs immediate surgery. So MC gets prepped for the procedure as the brothers and Solomon have a whirlwind of severe worry and helplessness. Solomon uses several spells on MC to help before they get wheeled in. With Mammon making sure MC has their matching keychain in their hand as a good luck charm.
The entire time MC is in surgery, none of the boys are able to concentrate or get anything done. Diavolo is back at the castle and just staring out the window to be waiting for any news. Barbatos is next to him to hand Diavolo a cup of calming tea as they wait. Simeon and Luke are with Raphael to be praying and chatting with Michael. While the brothers are in the waiting room. Satan is sitting with a book on taking care of someone after surgery. Asmodeus is having a hard time staying positive as he reads over Satan's shoulder. Belpheogr and Beelzebub are sitting together, Beel with his arm over Belphie's shoulder as they do their best to keep their fear in check. Mammon is outside the hospital and walking off all his pent up energy as Solomon walks with him. Leviathan is currently watching the clock on the wall with a stone faced terror in his whole body as he waits. While Lucifer stands to be leaning against the wall. His D.D.D. in his hand to have a chat with Thirteen there as the reaper keeps tabs on MC's candle and let them all know the candle is unchanged.
MC makes it out of surgery completely fine. The brothers and Solomon are all very relieved to take MC to one of Diavolo's private vacation homes. Diavolo and Barbatos arrive there in a few hours with the angels. MC gets to relax and recover as the boys just spoil MC for that day after the surgery. Two days are spent at the vacation home with tons of fresh air and leisure. Then the gang goes back to the Devildom to tuck MC back into the HOL.

here me out.. so like i was scrolling a pinterest and i found this one song on spotify called “cigarettes out the window x dangerously yours” and the first thing i thought about is neuvillette!! LIKE THE BRAINROTS IN MY HEAD RN. reader and him are in his office đŸ˜±
OH OH OH OH OH OKAY HOLD ON HOL D ONNNN 👀👀👀👀 The way i opened YT so fast!??! HASKJDNA but my GOD do i see what u mean anon—
Tumblr media
I'm getting vibes of reader who is, perhaps, from the fatui? or from some other hostile organization (idk im workign on it 💔) and they get assigned to be a double agent at the Palais Mermonia and acquire sensitive information for the organization they work for. Initially, they weren't supposed to do anything complicated— they certainly weren't even supposed to ever cross paths with the chief justice of Fontaine. But what do you know, Neuvillette falls for you first and invites you out to a meal, and you can't necessarily refuse.
Your superiors are delighted by the change in plans— if you get closer to the chief justice, you could easily get your hands on all sorts of information! So, although you're hesitant, you're forced to go along with getting closer to Neuvillette. But over time, you find that he's much, much more than most people think he is. He's more caring and gentle that most realize, and he's so sweet. Gods, he is so sweet. The way he cares for every single melusine is adorable. The way he enthusiastically encourages you to try water that he imported from gods-knows-where, just because he says that it taste fresh and clear like no other. And the way his eyes shine when you take a sip and tell him that he's right, that it's sp distinct, and he smiles, and you don't have the heart to tell him that in truth, it just tastes like water to you.
Before you know it, you're actually falling for Neuvillette. Not for the mission, not for the files. You're genuinely becoming head over heels for him. You can't tell your superiors this— you know you'd be pulled out and disposed of immediately now that you're compromised, but you can't go along with deceiving Neuvillette anymore. But if you tell him... no doubt he'd turn you away, like the double-crosser you are.
But you still find yourself in front of his office anyway, a heavy hand and a heavier heart knocking on his doors.
"Come in," he says.
And it's hard. Gods, it's so hard to come clean to him. You stutter and you just can't seem to spit out the words, so Neuvillette decides to talk first. He pulls something out of a drawer and sets it on his desk, opening its contents for you to see. And you gasp, because these are the files that you had been told were the highest priority. If you ever got your hands on them, you were to risk your life to get them back to your organization.
"Why are you showing me this?" You ask him, voice quiet, brow furrowed. Your hand reaches out to touch the papers, but you hesitate. Neuvillette just watches you, smiling mysteriously.
"Because you have my wholehearted trust," is all he says, and it's enough to break you.
The tears come flowing faster than you can help them. There's a lump in your throat, making it hard to breathe. Even as you splutter out the words, the confessions to why you're here, why you got close to him, and everything else in between, Neuvillette listens patiently. He doesn't yell, doesn't glare or curse you out. He doesn't shout for guards to come and toss you into the darkest pits of Meropide. Instead, he's calm.
"I know," he says as a means of explanation, and you still. His hand reaches across the desk, holding yours gently. "Since the very first day we met, when you stood beside me drenched in rain on the balcony, I've known. And my heart is yours anyway."
You shake your head, still crying quietly. "I will betray you. If not, I will be killed."
Neuvillette's hand squeezes yours. "Do you think so little of me that I would allow any harm to befall you, my love?"
"I think the world of you," you argue, and he smiles.
"There is no safer place for you than by my side. Should there be any threat to your life, I would use every ounce of my power to dispose of it, " Neuvillette vows. "Your organization has made a great many mistakes, but the greatest of them all has been sending you to me, and expecting me to ever let harm befall you."

Hello! Hope you’re well! Wanted to say, I love your writing!
Was curious if you could write a fic about Hol Horse and fem anon? Maybe the scenario could be something comforting like a rosy bedroom, where it’s warm and cozy, and Hol Horse is trying to give comfort to fem anon after having a really rough life?
What do you think? Hopefully it’s doable, if you can’t though, thank you for your time! ✹
Tumblr media
Heya @mysteriousdragon2!! Thank you for the compliment! â˜șïžđŸ’– And yeah, I'm doing well ^^ And no, this isn't an April Fools trick. You thought I disregarded your request? Think again because I bring forth a short fic for you! Again, my slow ass takes time to write stuff nowadays but when I do, I do my darn best to deliver. I hope I didn't butcher Hol Horse's character too much. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it! 💌

Horrible.
Your day couldn’t get any more shittier.
Being a recruit for a centuries-old vampire was no cakewalk in the park. In all honesty, perhaps you should have given a couple more thoughts before deciding to accept to work as one of DIO’s agents, but at the same time, you couldn’t blame yourself when you were caught between a rock and a hard place. You were a reluctant follower, to say the least.
At first, your new life as a member of this cultish group seemingly was relatively a walk in the park. With the help of a guide, you learned fairly quickly of the vision of DIO and his mission, learned the tasks and assignments you could be assigned to, and got opportunities to utilize your Stand better. Once oriented to the gist of the cult, you were introduced as part of the group on your first day to the others. Some of them were fairly neutral, others downright snobbish to recruits, and a few were surprisingly friendly.
One including a Caucasian man who presents himself as a cowboy going by the name of Hol Horse.
Now, you were aware that folks like him were no good when it came to women- The classic Cassanova who woos the ladies with bravado and a lot of convincing talk. You weren’t a fan of people like him but considering you were this close to losing your mind from the lack of any form of companionship, you sucked it up and at his first move to woo you, you accepted it.
Over time, there were instances of going on assignments either by yourself or with someone else, and oftentimes, Hol Horse would somehow be in the same room as you once you got your new tasks and he’d volunteer to accompany you on your missions.
At first, you found him annoying. A constant thorn on your side when it came down to encountering any sort of dilemma. When it came down to it, once a threat made itself known, you did more of the heavy lifting than he ever did. You’d be actively fighting this person but then your companion would do the bare minimum, pull out his gun Stand to shoot one or two times, before coming up with a crappy excuse to dip. And somehow, both of you got equal incentives for some reason.
However, when it wasn’t about helping you face dangers or going through a risky situation, he was a
 good guy to be around.
He was the person who’d talk about anything and everything from his daily life and adventures solo or with a task partner to passing the baton to you and encouraging you to share bits and pieces of yourself with him in return. And as much as he presented himself as a guy who’d most likely brag about his minor wins, in an organization that often felt creepy and confining, his finicky yet proud personality was a breath of fresh air for you in a while.
Around him, you could express whatever frustrations you had, every minute gossip you caught somewhere in the open, all the drama you found among colleagues. No matter the conversation topic, Hol Horse indulged in it with interest, even interjecting into your stories to add his commentary on the matter.
Shitty ally that he was, you couldn’t deny that he was a better friend you had than anyone else you’ve met in this lifetime.
But today
you were just hit with an overwhelming amount of accumulated fatigue. Not just physically, but psychologically as well.
While the initial days of being an agent of DIO were easy, the more times you underwent all these missions that seemingly did bad deeds in the guise of being good, the more its results left a toll on your psyche. Sure, you were getting paid a handsome amount and you got nice items out of it, but you couldn’t find it in yourself to be too immersed with the DIO and the cult’s vision of “achieving Heaven”, more so in the implied goal of eradicating a whole family bloodline.
While others didn’t mind doing their leader’s deeds, some even enjoyed them and in the process enjoyed pleasing him, you felt awful. What started as a thought that you were just going to errands or venture off to deal with others, ended up needing you to manipulate people into joining a cult or downright kill with no hesitation.
And you doubt you could escape at this point. You were bound into the group and you had no other choice.
So, you returned to headquarters after one more mission to take out a non-compliant client with Hol Horse and you wanted nothing more than to retreat to your quarters and just
sleep it off just like any other day.
You opened to a rather cozy, well-furnished room. The walls, lavish hardwood furniture from self-earned blood money, and constantly lit candles provided an air of warmth in this rather merciless environment. You stepped out of your shoes and dragged yourself to the comforts of your soft bed, where you slumped over it.
“What am I doing?” You muttered to no one but yourself as you bundled your knees to your chest, hiding your head behind them. “I shouldn’t have joined
why couldn’t I just find something else to do? I’m so stupid
”
From outside, you could hear your so-called colleagues holler and converse loudly with each other, some of their topics that you could pinpoint were them bragging about murder and the boon they got out of it. But while they laughed about it, your heart clenched with every mandatory kill and tears pricked the corners of your eyes.
“Stupid
. stupid
. stupid
”
Just then, someone knocked on your door. “Little lady? You there?” It was Hol Horse, seemingly not drunk and preoccupied with some other chick he might have met on your many missions. “Not to assume but judgin’ from how you seemed down in the dumps, you might’ve retired for the night, ya know?”
You sniffled quietly and wiped your eyes free from any tear that threatened to fall. “Yeah
 you’re right
 I am in here
”
“Oh phew! I thought you might have left or somethin’. Didn’t want ya wandering around late at night. Streets ain’t safe.”
“What do you want?” You said, consciously keeping your voice stable. “I’m not in the mood to listen to any of your wild tales. I’m tired
”
A momentary pause before he replied. “I just wanna talk with ya. Call it a check-up if you want.”
“You swear?”
“On my mama’s heart, ma’am,” Hol said in return with that familiar tone of affirmation. “No harm in wanting to make sure my partner is okay, right?”
You sighed. Wiping your face one more time to make sure no stray tears were visible, you got up and walked over to unlock your door lock and swung it open. Behind the door was the blond cowboy in his usual confident front, his hat hanging on his back.
Hol Horse grins and waves at you, just as he would on any other day prior to a mission. “Hey there- oh?” He tilted his head and bent over to look at you closer. “Oh shoot. When you said you weren’t in the mood, I didn’t expect it to be this bad.” Without you expecting anything, the guy nudges you inside and closes the door for you.
“What are you-”
“Now, I know you like your peace and quiet, but I also know too much of peace and quiet ain’t good either,” Hol started as he sat on the edge of your bed, patting the space beside him for you to follow. And you did. “So count yourself lucky I came to visit ‘cause now you can tell me what’s troublin’ ya.”
“Oh, it’s nothing,” you said with attempted nonchalance. “It’s just that time of the month is all. I get caught up in my feelings and I overthink a lot, and I get really emotional about it. It’s nothing to worry about.”
Hol Horse narrowed his eyes. “It sure doesn’t look like that, little miss. From what I can tell, you’ve been down in the dumps a lot recently. I just know you got something weighin’ your chest down that’s not womanly woes.”
“How would you know that? Have you been
observing me all this time?” You asked, surprised and a little bit wary.
“We’re partners, aren’t we?” Hol chuckled. “Partners keep watch of each other’s backs no matter what.”
You crossed your arms with a deadpan expression. “You chicken out any chance you get though.”
At that, the cowboy flushed with a sheepish laugh. “Ah well
I do have to admit that I may have cold feet most of the time, but you have to credit the other times I do contribute to the task.” You stayed silent, unimpressed. “But other than that shortcoming of mine, you also got to admit that you feel even a little bit better when I’m around, yeah?”
A contemplative thought darted across your mind of the many instances of the American constantly being around you with his chatter and general Western charm. “
 Perhaps.”
“And you don’t think I might have been observing how you could’ve been feeling every time we chat?” He continued. “Sure, I might talk my ass out 70-80% of the time, but I ain’t a dense as fuck douchebag enough to be oblivious to your mannerisms and feels. I care a lot more than you think.”
For a second, your cheeks warmed at the thought of somebody showing genuine concern for your emotional well-being. It was becoming a rare event in this new life you got yourself in. But you realized that the cowboy was also a notorious, smooth-talking “ladies’ man”. You huffed and averted your gaze away from him. “Alright, fess up. You want something from me, is that it?
“Pardon?”
“I know you know your way with women, Hol. I’m not dumb,” you spat. “You sweet talk to them, have some sweet time with a pair of tits and an ass and ditch when you’re bored. Half the time, there’s always a catch to your conversations. So let me repeat myself again: What do you want from me? Money? Want me to do your assignment? What?”
“Y/N.” You paused, caught off guard by the sudden solemn tone in his voice. “I know what I can do to get what I like. I know that. I work my ruggish charm on the ladies and I reap the benefits. That’s what I do to feel that high in this shitty organization.” He looked at you with a lopsided smile. “But those women? Those were just strangers. I barely know them. Pretty face with a fine body? I can get something from that.”
“But whenever I talk with my partner about my life stories and let you in on the conversation, let you talk to me about your day-to-day, I don’t put up that charming bravado I usually have with others. With you
I’m just good ole Hol Horse being Hol.”
“And how do I know this isn’t just one of your smooth talk tactics trying to woo me over?”
“You don’t see getting all soft and sentimental with my other flings like I do to you, right?” Hol said. “And if you kept up with me, I know you didn’t hear me utter a single flirtatious remark tossed in your direction.” You kept silent when for once
 he had a point.
And he chuckled. “Little lady, you are a breath of fresh air in this place. Don’t ever compare yourself to the faceless women I have met, because you are the special darlin’ reserved in this beatin’ heart of mine.”
You stared at him with wide eyes on the brink of spilling tears. After months of feeling alone and troubled, at least you found someone to confide in, even if your suspicions and skepticism remained.
The cowboy fully faced you and with a puffed-out chest, he opened his arms wide. “Come here. I know you need one.” You did and you immediately scooted closer to him until he wrapped his arms around you, his hands patting your back and brushing your hair. “There there
 you feelin’ better now?”
You didn’t want to speak, afraid you might just start sobbing into this man’s poncho, so you resorted to a quiet “mhm.”
Hol Horse chuckled. “My ears are always open to hear your every problem, so don’t be like me and chicken out on your feelings, alright?”
“Sure
but you know you have to give me some time to warm up to your affections,” you drew back with a pout. “Seeing you get all chummy with others is still going to make me dubious of you.”
He raised his hands up in surrender. “I fully get it. If you ain’t convinced yet, let me buy you a drink from that nearby bar and you have all the privileges to ramble and spill your guts out onto me. I just pray that old D’arby ain’t there gambling with some poor soul again.”
“Spill my guts you say?” You smirked. “Does that mean I can also puke on you with something else that’s not words? I’m not that good with alcohol.”
At that, Hol paled and shuddered. “Hey now, ma’am. If you can’t handle liquor, I’m cool buyin’ you juice or somethin’ light for ya. Just
 no puking on my clothes.”
You laughed softly and nudged his side playfully. “I’m just messing with you.” Reassured, you faced him and smiled. “But sure. Who am I to pass up on a free drink?”

rather than who you would like to see on the next taskmaster series, who do you think will be on it? like just your predictions or any inklings you may have!
anon if you're still around then you'll know i really took my time with this hahaha so sorry! i hope anyone reading this takes it as just a bit of fun and nbd, who knows who we'll get or who alex & the network have in mind! i'm answering thoughtfully (bc i always feel guilty not to đŸ˜© so sorry this is long lol) but it's really just fun!!
i will say, of the more recent-ish series, i did get a few right!!! krishnan guru-murthy, nicola coughlan, alan davies, judi love, sue perkins, john robins, and joanne mcnally were people i just knew would eventually be on if the show could get their schedules right, and i was also certain sarah millican and dara ó briain would be asked — though not necessarily that they'd actually agree. when you have a level of seniority and esteem, the "it's such a great opportunity" aspect of the show isn't such a draw 😅 for some reason i feel SO PROUD about guessing nicola! i was just WAITING and wish sooooo much she had done a full series 😭😭😭 (how fun would saoirse-monica jackson be too!)
anyways, as for people who haven't been on yet — and this isn't to say i want them all to be, just that i think it's likeliest they have been asked or will be asked; i talked about who i want to see a little while ago here — it's important to consider the casting 'roles' the network has in mind when working with the producers to form a series, so i will keep that in mind too!
established comedian, typically a straight white man over 40: bill bailey, vic reeves, harry hill, geoff norcott, kevin bridges, adam buxton, ade edmondson, paul whitehouse (tommy tiernan? god i feel bad for not saying ed byrne but why do i feel like he's not gonna make it in the next few series? i'm on the fence with nick helm — unless he's friends with alex, then his chances go up significantly imo — and tom allen for some reason, and i feel like john bishop is almost too much of an ask?)
fresh talent comedian, typically a man under 40: rhys james, huge davies, ahir shah, darren harriott would be my top guesses but tbh any of the semi-recent edinburgh comedy award finalists are good bets as a majority of the winners from the last ~10 years have been on the series + throwing out tom rosenthal (i know he's not fresh fresh and also mostly an actor)...and, like, jazz emu?...just because if taskmaster know how much its audience adores weird little white twinks then they'll cast them
female or non-binary comedian: 100% sarah keyworth + harriet kemsley, maisie adam, jess fostekew, suzi ruffell. i've shifted away from betting on cariad lloyd and catherine bohart for some reason... (joanne was my no.1 lady bet for the last like 4 series hahaha)
non-comedian: this is very, very hard to predict because between comedy actors, non-comedy actors, tv presenters, news people, reality & social media stars... the potential predictions are just so endless! logically, the most likely is an established actor with a lot of comedy connections (think sally phillips, lolly adefope, liza tarbuck, sian gibson, daisy may cooper, susan wokoma; this category is where tm gets quite a few of its female contestants): matt holness, kevin eldon, amanda abbington, tom davis, sharon horgan, kathy burke, georgia tennant (also friends w alex?), su pollard, tom basden, apparently anyone from the cast of ghosts, and so on and so on and so on... + i'll also throw out maggie aderin-pocock as a serious contender + i really feel like one of the spice girls will be on new years treat
friend of alex: john robins was the prediction for the past few series, so just worth keeping in mind other people in this circle include elis james, matthew crosby, tom neenan, and so on
freebie answers because alex/greg have mentioned them before: jack dee, lorraine kelly, joanna lumley (i want jennifer saunders SO BAD give us an epic series w both ade and jen pleaseeee tm gods!!!!)
complete wild card bets that are either my instincts kicking in or my bias taking over: limmy, adam buxton, paddy mcguinness, diane morgan, daniel sloss, joel dommett, jess hynes, spencer jones??, alasdair beckett-king or josh pugh + if suzy izzard wasn't doing a big nyc show i'd say that's a good guess if only bc you know greg & alex grew up big fans
did i mention too many people?? if i had to put my money behind a single person it would be either ahir shah or sarah keyworth
these are almost all of my fr big heavy hitters when it comes to placing bets! but there are of course so many people i didn't name who i could totally see on either a main series or the ny treat — so many people just make sense and that's the beauty of taskmaster!!

Tumblr media
You were not fond of this place. The crowd, the loud music, the smell of alcohol and sweat. It was dreadful in every sense of the word. But You knew this was Fives’ favorite place in the whole galaxy and thus you'd accompany him everytime he asked so he could have a good time with friends and brothers.
At least Fives was trying to be a gentleman and bought you your favorite drink so you could enjoy yourself as best as you could, it was probably the best thing about coming to 79’s. The place was lousy but it had some of the best drinks you had ever tasted.
Hours passed as you watched Fives chatter and laugh with some of his brothers, sometimes he would encourage another clone to go flirt with a cute Twi’lek, sometimes he would be pulled away to dance. Either way he was having fun and you couldn’t help but smile as you sat on the bar. You liked seeing him so relaxed and happy for once, free from the responsibility and the pressure of the war.
You were already two drinks down and feeling a bit tipsy by the time your beloved clone walked over with a third drink.
-Mesh’la! You got to try this! - He said excitedly, offering you an unusual looking drink which glowed with an eerie blue tint. You could tell by the look on his face that Fives was already nearing his own number and was on that spot where he would make crazy decisions
Like ordering strange looking drinks to try. You wanted to make sure that you stayed sober enough to get you both back home safely, but Fives looked so cute, smiling down at you spectantly, that you just couldn’t say no to the ominous drink.
-Alright, but If I start seeing pink banthas I’ll blame you. - You said, reluctantly taking the drink from his hands and giving it a good sip. It was surprisingly pleasant, sweet, fresh and it barely had any bite from the alcohol. But you could feel a pleasant warmth pooling on your belly as the thick liquid settled on your stomach.
-Well?- Fives asked expectantly.
-It’s alright
 - You said, settling the cup down.
-Aw shucks. I thought you'd like it. -Fives said a bit disappointed in himself, you couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.
He had a habit of offering every new exciting thing he tried to you, so you both could enjoy it together. Despite knowing full well that you were not that much of a drinker and you were not as outgoing as he was. However, you found it adorable, it felt like a tooka gifting dead insects to its owner.
But disappointment did not last long, as one look at the dance floor gave Fives a new idea, his face brightening in a way that made him look even more handsome in the dim light of the bar. -Hey! Let's go dancing! - He asks, grabbing at your hand and pulling you from your seat.
You froze for a second. You were not that great of a dancer and you were very self conscious of how others might judge your lack of rhythm. Especially since last time you tried, you twisted your ankle and the whole bar witnessed your ungraceful downfall. Jesse and Hardcase were nice enough to remind you about it for weeks. So, naturally you were not keen about embarrassing yourself like that again.
But Fives was offering you that smile that melted you to your very bones and you were left powerless about his demands.
-Fine, but just one song.- You finally agreed, standing up as you were guided towards the dance floor.
Fives didn’t waste time to drag you into the middle of the crowd and start to dance with you. Pulling your bodies closer, holding your hands and setting a rhythm
Maybe you were more than tipsy, or maybe that drink had something in it, but you were starting to enjoy yourself as you and Fives danced to a steady pace. For a moment it felt like it was only you two, swinging your hips and twirling in your heels, while Fives kept you close to himself.
He would press his chest to your back and hold you close by the hips as the dance slowly became more and more sensual. Not like you minded, you were suddenly feeling the need for fiscal contact and you responded by pushing your hips back and lifting a hand to caress Fives’ face as his head pressed closer to your shoulder.
Fives spinned you around and pulled you close, chest to chest and he stared deeply into your eyes with his creamy chocolate ones. He caressed your face with one hand while the other roamed your waist and your hip. Those caresses started to be too bold for such a crowded space, but neither of you seemed to care.
You were starting to feel the hot need between your legs and the sensual grinding of your bodies was not making it any easier to think straight. Taking advantage of the situation, you wrapped your arms around Five’s neck and pulled him down for a hot kiss, licking and biting at his lips with hunger, earning a deep growl from the clone’s chest as he returned the favor with equal fervor.
By now you two were too horny to function, mouthing and groping at each other’s bodies while still on the middle of the dance floor. If you were being seen, you were far too busy to notice.
However, before things could get hotter, or worse, Fives pulled away from you and grabbed you by the wrist, hastily pulling you away from the crowd. Without looking back, without saying anything, he pulls you out of the bar and into the lonely alley just behind the building.
Fives took just a few seconds to look around and make sure you two are alone before turning back to you with a wolfish smile.
You already knew what was about to happen, this wasn’t the first time you and fives had had a little too much fun during your outings. You pressed yourself against the wall and beaconed Fives closer with a finger, returning the flirty smile with a wink. The clone didn’t waste any time before pressing his body to yours and resuming the fierce claiming of your lips.
Without any restrictions you both start to explore each other’s bodies, caressing, grabbing and squeezing at every inch of flesh.
You felt up his armored chest, his shoulders, his hips, his back and his ass. It was a shame there was so much plastoid on the way, but you would lie if you didn’t enjoy the heavy feeling of his armored body pressing you against the wall.
In turn, Fives slided his hands under your shirt easily, exploring your body with practiced ease as he bit and licked at your lips, growling your name with each kiss.
Heat began to rise more and more and soon clothes were starting to get in the way. Fives played with your belt and made quick work of undoing it along with your pants, letting them fall and pool at your ankles. The cold air hit your heated skin like a slap forcing a whimper out of your throat. Fives didn’t say a word as he turned you around and pressed your front to the wall, exposing your backside to him. He curses under his breath at the sight of your entrance, already fluttering and ready to take him, like it has many times before. But Fives was a gentleman, no matter how horny he was, he was not going to take you dry. Always prepared, Fives takes a bottle of lube from his pocket and pours a generous amount on his fingers, spreading it and warming it up a bit before finally pressing his fingers into your tight heat. It’s a bit hasty and fast, but you two are too horny to care. You need it now and you need it fast. Fives sank two fingers into you up to the knuckle and you rewarded him with a loud moan, pressing your forehead to the wall. Each rub and spread of his fingers against your sensitive walls sends a thrill of pleasure down your spine and a moan is torn out of your throat. Fives cursed to himself once more, the feeling of your tight heat clenching down on him sending a powerful shiver down his spine and straight into his crotch. Before long he is pulling his fingers out of you so he can undo the codpiece of his armor and free his aching member. Fives poured some more lube over his shaft, making sure to spread it well through the length of it before finally pressing the thick head against your fluttering entrance. He didn’t waste any more time before sinking deeply into you with one fluid thrust, groaning your name against your shoulder as you gasp and moan his in return. There was no time for adjustment, not when the urge is bigger than any discomfort. Fives started to pound into you with quick and hard thrusts, pressing you roughly against the wall as he chased his own need. You clawed at the wall and angled your hips so he could reach deeper into you, deep into that delicious spot that had you seeing stars. It was a dance, the pacing was evenly matched between you two as you moved your hips to an imaginary rhythm.
Muffled music guided your movements, slowly picking up pace, getting faster and more eager with the chorus. Then the rhythm slowed down just for a few moments before it started all over again, rising up to reach the delicious climax that both of you desperately needed. You arched your back and called out his name as you felt the waves of ecstasy crash down into you, sending a shiver of delight down your whole body. Fives wasn’t too far behind, pressing you roughly against the wall as he sheathed himself deeply inside you, filling your insides with his hot, white essence. He growled against the nape of your neck and began to lick and nibble at it as you both came down from the height of orgasm.
Once you could think clearly again you found yourself panting as Fives gently moved away from you, placing one final kiss on the back of your head. Feeling sticky and a bit gross, you pulled your clothes back into place, fixing yourself as best as you could while your boyfriend did the same. -Ugh, my head hurts.-   You complained slightly, dehydration and alcohol were never a good mix. Fives chuckles a bit before he opened his mouth to deliver one of his characteristic stupid-yet-charming jokes: -You know, you were supposed to say that “before” we had sex, Mesh’la.- He said, laughing only harder as you rolled your eyes. Stars, he was a complete moron, but he was your moron and you loved him more than anything in this galaxy. -How about we call it a night?- Fives suggested, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. Despite everything, Fives wanted you to rest if you were not feeling that great, he could be responsible if he wanted too. You hummed in appreciation and wrapped your own arm around his middle. -Sounds good.- You nodded as you both began to walk back home. Maybe next time you’ll try that eerie drink once more, see if it has the same effect twice.

I'm finally continuing with these! I was supposed to finish them last year, but life happened. At least I want to think that I will finish them before October comes around.
But If October does come around and I'm yet to finish these, please scold me.

The United States added 151,000 jobs in February as employers in a range of industries continued making hires, while the federal government slashed its workforce by 10,000. The fresh employment data reported Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics missed expectations for 170,000 new roles, but last month's job gains exceeded the revised 125,000 posted in January. The unemployment rate climbed slightly to 4.1% from 4.0% the month before. The BLS data painted a mixed picture of the labor market. Health care employers added 52,000 roles in February, financial services firms added 21,000, and transportation and warehousing companies added 18,000. But Friday's report may not fully capture the extent of President Donald Trump's sweeping policy changes. "The survey period for this report is around the 12th of the month," Mark Hamrick, Bankrate senior economic analyst, said in a statement Friday. "Much has happened since then," he said, nodding to the 62,000 federal job cut announcements flagged Thursday by the consultancy Challenger, Gray & Christmas. Samuel Tombs, chief U.S. economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics, all but dismissed the BLS report as “a snapshot of a prior age, before the shift in federal government policies undermined confidence.”
