Sephirah Reacting to an Employee teaching Nothing There to Shitpost Headcanons:

Malkuth would be absolutely baffled upon hearing whatever ungodly things you taught this aleph to mutter. It’s enough to make even a workaholic like her freeze in her tracks with sheer confusion. Why.. Did you teach it to say that?? She imagined that an employee capable of repeatedly working with such dangerous abnormalities would be a bit more mature.. Her assumption was wrong. She might scold you a bit but I think she’s too fascinated with it to actually care too much. Usually she always has something to say.. But this? No words. Kind of thinks some of the bizarre things you taught it to say are funny but would never admit that because she does not want to tarnish her attempts at being the prime sephirah.

Lord, I think you would send Yesod into cardiac arrest. Probably calls for a meeting to figure out who’s responsible for this and chastises their immature behavior being unbefitting of a corporate employee. It depends on how good you are at keeping a poker face because his pure seriousness about this is absolutely priceless. You’d think he was yelling at you for kicking his dog or something. Sighs with a really stressed tone and probably utters something under his breath as the meeting ends. If you are found out you’re likely going to get a huge scolding and have to work overtime. It’s worth it though.

Hod is sort of nervous first and foremost because she is concerned about the safety and potential repercussions you can experience for training an abnormality in such a way. After seeing how much fun it is for you though she’d support it considering the place is usually so dark and dreary.. It’s a nice contrast to see some people enjoying themselves. Doesn’t understand half of the things the meat dog is saying, but over time you may find she is gradually developing a quiet sense of humor towards the stupid things you do.

Netzach helps you. He does not care at all for this place, let alone formality, so you can guarantee he’s probably making his own suggestions. Also finds it funny to see Yesod so distressed over this. He doesn’t really interact with the abnormality itself but he will cover for you if you need it, implying it's someone else or even taking the blame altogether just so you can get away with it. You two are a devious duo and there is an impending sense of dread whenever you are in the vicinity. This is pretty much the only time he puts effort into planning things out and it’s all for some dumb humor. Definitely have inside jokes.

Tiphereth is like Yesod but worse. Huffs about how she’s the child yet you keep acting like one, doesn’t get half of the things Nothing There says but immediately knows it’s something bad, and can always tell when you are plotting something. If you work in her department with the abnormality, she has on multiple times threatened to move you out, and has even gone through with it once. It somehow does not stop you. Stares at you with the intensity of 50 suns the moment you have the audacity to step in the slightest direction of Nothing There. She has scrounged every single part of the corporation’s terms and conditions to find some rule you’re violated, and made multiple reports on why you can not keep getting away with this. Only Yesod really agrees.

Chesed is thoroughly entertained by this. He may not outright participate like Netzach, but he silently encourages it by urging you to continue telling your stories. Most of the time he’s just sitting around doing work in his office so he’s not going to say no to something new. Doesn’t really take part in your scheming but always knows when something is done because of Tiphereth, it’s his alarm that you’re up to trouble. Has hosted you in his department to hide away from the others like a fugitive before.

Gebura hates abnormalities. She does not understand why you are doing this, especially when it poses an unnecessary threat to your own safety. Overall views abnos like Nothing There as detestable creatures incapable of domestic feats like training. That said, hearing it cuss out and insult employees –even sephirah– at times is pretty funny. It says things that no man working there would ever have the courage to, and that bluntness is laughable at times. She believes that if you are going to mess around with it somehow then this is one of the least awful ways.

Hokma is too tired for this man. He’s old and too caught up in philosophical ramblings. Doesn’t necessarily tell you to stop, but if you bring it up he will turn it into what feels like a 4 hour session dissecting the implications that’s vaguely reminiscent of when grandparents go ‘back in my day’ and proceed to verbally produce an essay. You’ll be asleep by the time he’s finished and remind yourself to never directly approach him about it again. I think he would let you off easy because he totally would have thought about doing this when he was younger.

Binah’s reaction is completely incomprehensible. You’d think by the way she was staring you down with an ominous aura that she was unimpressed by your childish attempts at playing around. You couldn’t be more wrong. She is going to cease an opportunity to mess with people at any point, and will directly help you with getting Nothing There to shitpost. You think Netzach would plan things out? She has a full schedule that she presents to you to optimize the teaching process, carefully plotted out with graphs and condensed sheets of paper. You will figure out how to make it speak full sentences bordering on some revolutionary discovery all because it’s humorous. No one knows she is helping you because she is so good at keeping it hidden behind a neutral look on her face. No one would dare question Binah after all, not with her intimidating composure, which makes it so easy for her to take part (not even you initially thought she would go along with this). It’s a secret alliance between you two.

I- Ching TREE of LIFE

The I Ching Connection

Of the three systems which we sought to link to the Tree of Life, the I Ching will be the most difficult to successfully correspond. Its structure gives no apparent clues as to how we can assign hexagrams to the Tree. The I Ching is not divided into groups of three, or ten, or twenty-two. In fact there are really no divisions at all between the hexagrams, except for which two trigrams they are made up of. So we will work from there, assign trigrams to the Tree, and then tackle the problem of the hexagrams.

This cuts down our workload considerably, since there are only eight trigrams to work with. But nothing on the Tree of Life is divisible by eight. (The total number of paths and sephiroth is 32 = 4 x 8, but this does not help much. It would mean assigning each trigram to four different elements; there is not an obvious way to do such a thing.) The closest number to 8 on the Tree is 10, the number of sephiroth.

This actually looks rather promising. Paths are defined in terms of the sephiroth they join (i.e. Kether to Chokmah) and hexagrams are defined in terms of which two trigrams they are composed of (such as Heaven over Fire). So if we can successfully attribute the trigrams to the sephiroth, attributing the hexagrams to paths should be simple.

Unfortunately, assigning 8 elements to 10 places is difficult. There will obviously be some repetition which must be justifiable. We are also likely to have some duplications (i.e. two paths have the same hexagram attributed to them) but this may not necessarily be a bad thing. What matters most is that we find a system by which the eight trigrams can be corresponded to the ten sephiroth. And such a system was indeed found.

It would be pointless to go through all the failed attempts (and there were several) which preceded this discovery, especially when the way to arrive at a correct solution is so easily explained. We start by assigning elemental values (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) to each of the eight trigrams. This is straightforward; Fire and Thunder are of the fire element, Earth and Mountain are of earth, Wind and Heaven are airy, and Water and Mist are watery.

By the formula of Tetragrammmaton, Chokmah is Yod, Binah is the first Heh, Tiphareth is Vau and Malkuth is the final Heh. Knowing elemental correspondences for the Tetragrammaton, we assign the Fire trigram to Chokmah, the Water trigram to Binah, Wind to Tiphareth and Earth to Malkuth. This arrangement cannot really be disputed without arguing against the correspondences of Tetragrammaton, which work beautifully in all other circumstances.

A basic Qabalistic principle states that Air must stand between Fire and Water. Kether must therefore be the other Air trigram, Heaven, since it stands between Chokmah and Binah. Again, it is difficult to refute the sensibility of this placement. The "Air between" principle also means that Fire and Water trigrams must occupy the sephiroth to either side of Tiphareth. This is where we encounter a problem. Four sephiroth lie beside Tiphareth, but there is only one Fire trigram (Thunder) and one Water trigram (Mist) left.

The solution to the problem comes in realizing that Thunder is part Air and part Fire, while Mist is part Water and part Earth. Therefore Thunder goes well in either Hod (a mercurial region) or Geburah (which is martian), and Mist corresponds amicably to both Chesed (jovian) and Netzach (venusian). In fact there is no problem with assigning them to both. The lone remaining trigram, Mountain, must therefore be attributed to Yesod. The placement makes sense when we consider the traditional title of Yesod, "Foundation".

So the final Tree looks like this. To find out which hexagram is attributed to which path, simply combine the trigrams of the spheres which that path connects. Since Malkuth is Earth and Yesod is Mountain, the path joining them will be some combination of Mountain and Earth.

An interesting consequence of this method is that each path gets two hexagrams; for example, the path from Kether to Tiphareth is Heaven over Wind, but it is also Wind over Heaven. This is because the path goes from Tiphareth to Kether when we are at the bottom of the Tree looking up, but it leads from Kether to Tiphareth when we are at the top looking down. It is all a matter of perspective.

The fact that Thunder and Mist appear twice in the tree mean that some paths will have the same attribution from different points of view. So from Kether looking down, the path from Geburah to Tiphareth is Thunder over Wind, and Hod to Tiphareth is Wind over Thunder. If you look up from Malkuth the attributions are reversed. Actually, this is a useful phenomenon because it links those paths together in a unique way. The cards and Runes assigned to those paths will also be linked to one another.

There are two Hazbin ships that feel like two of my Lobotomy Corporation ships. They are:

Angela. poor Angela. there are 3 parts to her tradegy. the first is simple.

1: she sees everything 100 times slower than normal people. as she feels emotions, this will make doing basically anything excruciatingly slow.

2: she has a human like mind. one based off of Carmen, who Loved Ayin. Ayin loved Carmen very much. (he is implied to be bisexual i think) and... well, Ayin HATES Angela. it reminds him more of himself than that perfect woman who gave him hope so long ago. the fact Angela is only a machine makes it worse.

3: angela is caring. she wants to be kind. however, she must follow a script. a script that forces her to hurt those she once cared for. to bring them seemingly unending pain in a cycle only she and Ayin remember, for all of eternity.

those who could help her, like Garon or Benjamin are not able to. the script forbids it. also Garon, now Binah, would probably try to destroy Angela if she could. the whole "Arbiter" and "head hate human like robots" thing.

and so... the first 1,000,000 years of her life start. living the same damn 50 days over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, just hoping that one day, Ayin may be able to finish this horribly play. but right before the end?

it was shown that angela would not be shown any sort of appreciation. that even in that final moment, she would be ignored. this was... well. imagine living through 1,000,000 years of time loop, desperately trying to find ANY joy as you are forced to betray those who you want to help, for a goal that you will never reach.

well... how would you feel? if forced to hurt those you loved for 1,000,000 years and then not given any reward? and just... expected to lay down and die?

Angela wanted to live. Angela, for the first time in her life, WANTED TO LIVE.

and so? she stole the grand finale. she stole the tree of light made to bring hope to everyone in the city after only 4 days. the tree was supposed to stand for 7.

and angela built the library. a massive construct of her own soul, her own will, made to help her catalogue everything in the city so that she may take revenge on ayin, by destroying everything he worked for.

part one of the angela era done! lob corp is destroyed, the tree of light sprouts, and then is extinguished 4 days after, instead of the full 7.

also, the group of people who had their brains extracted by Ayin, minus Ayin and Carmen, are now in boxes.

Anyone have advice for hod meltdown?? I’ve got a lot of X-stat or higher abnormalities in my department and I have committed The Biggest Sin (I got attached to my agents :( some of them at least)

My biggest problem so far is the sheer number of Abnos I feel I can safely take care of now because of having Y Stat, but Hod’s whole thing is taking that and going “nope”.

I don’t want to unlock the next floor before getting at LEAST Hod’s done. I haven’t done Malkuth or Yesod’s yet, either, and I maybe should?? (At least do Malkuth’s so I can avoid the issue w/ Crumbling Armor).

Hello and good morning to all of my beautiful step children. 🌤️ I kinda took a plunge and apologized to someone who I thought was my friend. They accepted and we seemed chill. We talked for a while and they presented an occult idea of mine from my journal to me as if it were my own idea and APPARENTLY I forgot I gave the access to my book notes and some of my other ideas got in there. I wanted to see how far back this went and on their tiktok I saw that some of their videos match our DMs verbatim with times and everything.

Now I am just mourning what an absolute moron I was and I figured everyone has dealt with shitty people so heres a reading. Theres some issues here (obviously look who’s reading ur looking at rn) you would THINK with eight that this would be a lot of structure and reason however with 8 in Hod (structure and reason of the mind) with swords (freedom of the mind) there is a lot of internal turmoil. Which I get this is a shitty situation. On one hand you want to be logical and be like I shouldn’t be upset because and I am finally free and I am justified and X Y Z. But on the other hand you are hurt and you need the freedom to express that. Its hard trying to be a logical girly just manage both sides of this coin to the best of your ability give yourself time.

Well a big part of this card is revenge I should have saved the dead grandma joke for this card. Basically just flames and heat and the earth aspect as well as air aspects gives physical fuel to provide for these flames. Your sadness and betrayal skipped right to anger and you’re walking the war path. HOWEVER, another aspect of this card going again to feeding the flames with no water to subdue it is this cards lust for life. There is life at the end of this grief while its manifesting in hate as of now. Realize your love for life and put that FIRERY ASS ENERGY INTO THAT.

I hope this reading was helpful for you guys. For me my magic is so deeply personal. Yeah, yeah! It's totally Angela's birthday, ahah! Ahah...hah...ha...

Erm, sorry for that delay, Anon. I hope you're not too upset with me. But as for your questions...well, they're quite fluffy, so I am very happy to hear that~

When it comes to how everyone would celebrate Angela's birthday...I think they would give her a day of complete rest. She wouldn't sort books, she wouldn't tend to the Library, she would just rest while everyone serves her. While she can always use the Light, the fact that everyone is willing to serve her despite her massive advantage with the Light is a nice gesture of affection. Allowing her to share her thoughts freely with them, taking care of the Library at full attention (yes, including Netzach) without slacking off...And I'm sure giving her lots of new information and perhaps introducing her to new technologies she hasn't seen before would be considered a very lovely gift in her eyes.

But if we're talking about widdle Angie, then I'm inclined to think they'd try to throw her a normal party. It's not like she needs anything too fancy considering her age and inability to eat or drink, so all she needs is a ton of happiness and she'd be okay. Maybe she'd love being pampered by her uncles as well as her papa, as well as playing with the rest of the kids all day while maybe watching 'A-ni-meh' as well. She's not a very demanding girl, I think, she just wants some happiness and she'll be okay.

As for Carmen and Angela sharing a birthday, I want to say that they do, but I just don't think Ayin had the time for such details. I mean, he did make Angela in the likeness of Carmen, but at the end of the day, he didn't want a 'new' Carmen. He just wanted Carmen, not to mention that he was building Angela when he had nothing. He had no friends left, the Old Lab was destroyed by Garion, there really was nothing left for him except using the information in Garion's mind and attempting to create Angela to lose himself in his work, so I doubt he had a specific schedule in mind when creating her. It's a 50/50 on whether or not he was lucky enough with the time to have Carmen and Angela's birthdays match or if he had to choose date because if he waited for too long there was a chance for The Head to swoop in and ruin everything he ever worked for...again.

As for the gifts everyone would give Angela...I think it varies. Malkuth would likely give Angela historical books, but she would also present them in a nice way. Maybe Malkuth would make a play with the other Librarians to present certain historical facts or battles to spice things up a little. Yesod would like cobble together a mechanical gadget from the City Angela hadn't seen before, even if it is quite simple, and he'd let her toy around with it and explore it to her heart and curiosity's content. Hod would likely help Angela with the poetry and perhaps show her some poems she may like. Netzach would...stop lazying about and maybe draw a portrait of Angela. Tiphereth would just hang out with Angela and keep her company, I think. Gebura would show case some combat techniques, weapons, and City factions to Angela, in addition to telling her about the nature of words and language so that Angela doesn't feel confused by some of the ways language is used. Chesed would probably brew her coffee if she could taste it, but otherwise, he'd likely tell Angela about what it was like belonging to a rich family and he'd maybe compare and contrast with Gebura. Hokma would spend time with Angela and tell her more about the Old Lab and how it was like before everything went down the drain. Binah would probably host a tea party of sorts and invite Angela and the rest of the Librarians while still speaking cryptically to everyone.

And as for Ayin and X...I think X would be very classic: He's a sentimental fool through and through. I think he'd maybe offer flowers, or perhaps a group-picture of Angela and the Librarians + Ayin and X, or maybe he'd offer her tea cups with 'World's Best Librarian' printed on them. Maybe he'd also offer her watches and such.

But as for Ayin...I think his gifts have to be something more...personal. Perhaps he would ofer her gifts that change or modify some aspects of her mechanical nature that she always had problems with. Or perhaps he would spend a day looking at her and listening to her, something she always wanted from him but he never gave to her. Perhaps he'd even allow her to vent her frustrations by maybe beating him up with a pillow until she feels somewhat satisfied. I think Angela doesn't really care what gift is offered to her so long as it was truly from the heart, and I think just being offered gift would be very touching for her considering she spent almost a (perceived) million years without receiving any affection at all.

So what happens in lobotomy corporation

This is gonna be a really long post because there's too much to cover so here's almost all of the story from the game

I'm going to start off with the world building and events before the game because that's where most of the story is happening. So the whole project moon franchise takes place in the City, a complex with an extreme capitalistic system. It's divided into 26 districts each named after an alphabet letter and each district is also divided into nests(part of a district for people of high position or rich people) and backstreets(rest of the district). Each nest also has a wing which owns at least one Singularity, the technology that can defy laws of physics and is used for various purposes: transportation, energy generation, military forces, time manipulation tech, restoring ampules, etc. But singularities work through unethical methods which usually evolve exploiting, torturing, or killing people in order to get the results, with the process being kept as confidential information. So a person named Carmen wants to change the society for the better and starts recruiting people into her project "The seed of light" by performing speeches in the backstreets. Afterwards she formed a group with Ayin, Benjamin, Elijah, Gabriel, Giovanni, Michelle, Kali, Danel, Lisa and Enoch and moved to the Outskirts (area outside of the City) so that the Head (government that rules the City) could not interfere in their project. They started experimenting with Cogito - a substance extracted from human brain to draw out the light. Because of cogito being unstable and not researched before, an experiment resulted in death of Enoch, which affected Carmen heavily to the point that she attempted to commit suicide in a bathtub but failed, so she was found unconcious. Ayin removed her nervous system and placed in a reservoir, so it can be used to extract cogito. Ayin took control of the project and continued experiments, creating abnormalities(SCP-like creatures). After some time, Elijah injected some Cogito for testing to show that she wants to help but dies in front of Ayin. Gabriel suffered from a mental trauma that related to his exposed skin and died. Afterwards Giovanni offered to help with for another test in hope that it can help bring Carmen back but also died. After witnessing so many deaths Michelle told the information about the project to the Head, which sends an arbiter Garion to attack the facility. She released abnormalities, resulting in deaths of Daniel and Lisa. Kali fights Garion to protect the remaining people and dies, severely damaging Garion allowing Ayin and Benjamin to extract her brain and place into a robot body, and torturing her to gain information on how to become a wing. Ayin and Benjamin remain the only ones surviving. They decide to start a war to take down L corp and replace it, which was named the "Smoke war". Before forming new L corp they create an android AI named Angela, which violates one of the rules of the City. Angela was supposed to resemble Carmen and has some of her memories but looks completely different, and Ayin after realizing this, ignores her an doesn't bother giving her a name or looking at her. Benjamin programmed her to percieve time 100 slower and handed her a script that must be followed to finish the project. They made a contract with T corp to get their tech for creating loops of time which resets on script not being followed. Ayin passes his memories on a manager to create replicas of himself. Also all of the dead members were replicated with robot bodies and are called Sephirot.

The game happens through POV of the manager or X - one of the many iterations of Ayin. He starts working in lobotomy corporation, managing abnormalities and extracting enkephalin(substance used as fuel or can be consumed as drugs). Angela assist X with the work and tells him about the cognition filter that changes perception in order to not lose sanity looking at certain abnormalities, and makes the sephirot look like androids such as angela. But one day the manager recieves contact from B who tells three truth: don't trust the AI; don't trust the company; and the third truth has not been told due to B being cut off. Over the course of the game Angela shifts her mood from calm to being more negative towards X and the sephirot, she makes the sephirot to lose hope which causes meltdowns that the manager has to supress in order to progress towards the completion of the project. After supressing a core meltdown, the sephirot regain memory from their first iterations and regains hope to move forward. by the end of the game X is being referred to A and in the last couple of days confronts his reflections of the past: Abel, Abram and Adam who are embodied thoughts that block the path to fully realizing the seed of light and after successfully surpassing them A is greeted by Ayin to manage the facility for the last day and finalize the project, dissolving into the light and spreading it through all of the City, but Angela interferes with the final process after suffering for too long, making the light spread for 3 days instead of intended 7. After taking part of the light, Angela creates the library in order to make herself human.

now. let’s begin. before lobotomy corporation began it started in the backstreets and an outskirts laboratory. carmen in both ruina and lobcorp was said to go into places in the backstreets and preach her words and speak out and loudly about just how fucked things were. gebura even talks about this in library of ruina and how she first met carmen. their first conversation and interaction was an argument saying that carmen could never understand the suffering and agony that the people in the backstreets go through every day and night just to survive. carmen agreed with gebura (at the time, kali) on what she had said and said that kali could never understand the pain and struggles the people of the nest go through either even if she tried to explain.

in the city, you are supposed to be someone who is nihilistic and resigned and stay in your place. (this is also hinted at and said in children of the city by mili) carmen wanted to rebel against that. she didn’t want to sit at a desk somewhere and work until she died and let the cycle continue, she didn’t want to be another gear in the clockwork tower known as the city. you’re not supposed to do anything, she used this. and the way she would use that, was she would go out and make speeches to people to gather some others. who would later be doomed by this as well and become the sephirah of lobotomy corporation.

she gathered a color fixer (kali-gebura), a high ranking aristocrat (daniel-chesed), orphaned children (lisa and enoch - tiphereth a & b), youngest worker (michelle - hod), worker (elijah - malkuth), a close friend (giovanni - netzach), her partner (ayin - A/X), his friend (benjamin/hokma). and one more but that was after her death. and they were significantly tourtured for information to continue.

what did she want to do? carmen’s objective was to “cure” the city of its “illness”. of being stuck in the same cycle. of being subjected to the madness of being unable to do anything but work and go home. work, go home. and repeat. once again, mentioned in mili’s children of the city, “Only thing that's left is to work on following commands.”

her experiment was known as, “the seed of light”, to truly end all suffering and all complicity in the city. as she valued human life but also extreme perseverance and extremely strong wills. this would be her downfall.

the substance used in these experiments was an unrefined form of cogito.

one of the children, enoch, wanted to be “useful” around the labs in the outskirts at this time and he wanted to partake in the experiments to help speed them up. in short, he died from them. the other child, lisa, was close with enoch and always had been, had told carmen directly to her face that she would be better off dead.

carmen attempted suicide later. she was nearly successful. but this suicide resulted in a low risk abnormality we know as bloodbath. take its description:

“many hands float in the bath. they are the hands of the people i once loved.”

while in the story it describes that bloodbath originated from someone cutting their wrists in a bath while the other person slowly finds out their craving for death. while looking into how carmen and ayin spent their successes and failures. popping champagne when they succeeded, and carmen feeling like she would truly be better off dead when they all failed.

carmen craved death when people started dying and no matter how many advancements were made, she couldn’t overlook the fact that someone died within her own facility. ayin found her body in the tub, barely alive and placed her in a cryo coffin. at least what was left alive of her.

unfortunately this is where hod/michelle comes into play. and the final sephirot parts. michelle had sent a message to the head (the city’s official government) about the experiments that were being conducted in the facility. she had witnessed firsthand the deaths of her coworkers (gabriel, giovanni, elijah) and the child, enoch. due to cogito. unrefined and incomplete cogito.

she killed herself after the attack on the facility, ayin was forced to read about it in the news.

elijah had already died before this due to the unrefined and not even close to being ready to test in humans cogito. she wished to help and tried it, eventually ayin had found her begging for death on the floor with half her teeth and fingernails gone, he left her to die there. on the cold hard floor.

the head had sent an arbiter. garrion (binah). garrion nearly wiped everyone there. taking kali’s arm in the process. garrion was mortally wounded and tortured by ayin before having her brain and internal organs extracted to become binah. a sephirah. but during extraction team game talks with binah, she explicitly says that ayin had talked to her about, “would carmen have approved of everything that had happened if she would’ve known HER INITIAL ACTIONS lead ayin and benjamin down this path.”

how does she affect the narrative from here ? she dooms others. she fucks up more people. she makes the narrative her bitch. she’s been doomed by the narrative and everyone else was doomed by her actions.

in lobotomy corporation, cogito was made by carmen’s brain and nervous system being stuck in a box, a big ass fishtank if you will and the cogito she produced was used to extract EGO and abnormalities. an employee went insane and was too far gone by looking into the well. occasionally cogito could bring them back but they would have to take time off.

in ruina, there are these things called distortions now, people who have such a big emotional buildup that they hear a voice and see a light, fall into that and listen and they distort into some creature. some creature capable of demolishing entire nests and backstreets. the pianist is a prime example of one, 300k people were killed in his wake. the voice and the light ? that’s carmen. it’s fucking carmen. in a way she wants people to be free in the way adam wanted the abnormalities to be free and walk amongst humans.

she still wants her one true desire, to free the people of the city. to let them be them. she lets these people fall into these cycles and turn them into distortions at her voice to free them. but she also works on convincing angela that her desires to be free and human are achievable and can and must be reached.

near the end of the game, carmen and angela meet again. and you must fully realise the keter floor. angela wants carmen to stop everything she’s doing, to stop the madness, to just. stop the distortions. obviously carmen denies and still wants the people of the city to understand what they are capable of and what they can do. to “love their true selves.” as she puts it in game. angela doesn’t stop her and won’t as long as she’s part of the light. the light that was harvested in lobotomy corp.

now, limbus company.

limbus company is new but, it’s a very very popular theory that the golden boughs you have to collect that are apparent in every L Corp location in the city is part of carmen. which would add more to her being doomed and her dead body and parts of her actively being exploited by the wing and company itself.

as recent as canto IV, carmen has been mentioned by dongrang as cause for distortion and essentially told her off. it does prove that carmen is apparent in limbus and she will be around more often as far as i can see with this revelation.

and finally. angela.

angela is a robotic variation of carmen created by ayin and benjamin. she was made after her death and in direct violation of the AI ethics amendment act, as her brain is a partial scan of carmen’s. angela is a direct extension of carmen and she struggles with this in both lobotomy corp and much more in library of ruina. and the things she is forced to do makes her cold and uncomfortable and with a prickly exterior. she was forced to play along with a “script” during lobotomy corp to collect light and energy and release it all on the 50th day. she only did it for 3 days. the white nights and dark days incident as it’s constantly referenced in the series. it was quite literally carmen’s plan to plant the “seeds of light” in the city and in the hearts of all the citizens so they would change for the better. but she doomed that, she changed that course quickly.

angela was more confused with her creation initially and always asked again what her purpose was. ayin’s consistent answer was,

“a machine should behave as a machine”

as it was constantly repeated to her, obviously it had an impact. not to mention she was programmed to perceive time 1000x slower than than average human. making her failures with this “script” that ayin and carmen made so so much worse. angela had wanted to help all the sephirot with their problems but every time she presented them with a valid solution to their problem, she was hit with a reset. learning to ignore the deaths, the cries for help, everything. she hates ayin for what he did, she doesn’t know why he hates her but, she knows why she hates him. for putting her in a robotic, mechanical body and forcing her to hurt and doom others as, “you’re not her[carmen]”.

she TRIES to be nice and listen but it FORCES a reset on her. the scenario ayin made her do. everything. it gets reset and loops, nobody knows what happens, only angela knows. and she’s forced to figure out where she went wrong. she’s forced to ignore problems, she was forced to doom others. as carmen accidentally enthusiastically pushed forward, until it became a twisted fucked up mess.

honestly, i highly recommend you play or watch a play though of the games if you enjoyed any of this because it’s SO interesting and so phenomenal of how carmen actions caused such a cataclysmic reaction and how angela, a version of carmen, struggles with her identity but is also by extension, A VERSION OF carmen and doomed by the narrative as well and has doomed the narrative.

What's interesting here is that elements of today's Major Arcana tarot (The Moon) feature in the other corresponding card images.

The Moon itself features in 10/Discs (an opposing factor) repeated tenfold.

The Moon's two crescents are shown as coming together in 10/Swords (a subconscious past influence) but being barred by the large X configuration. This X also appears in 10/Wands (a future influence) barring the path of the 2 central Wands (the crayfish's pathway out of the water). Both the 10s symbolise the towers which the dogs are guarding.

Queen of Cups is the overall influence here, her element Water of Water linking her to the Mutable Water that the Moon's crayfish has emerged from.

Also the Queen's associated minor arcana 10/Swords draws us back to a blockage from change (the transformation of The Moon). As Cardinal Water, the Queen's astrological correspondence is Cancer (the Crab=crayfish) whose lunar qualities give her the ability to plumb deep subconscious barriers - a process being prevented here by an overabundance of the Material World (10/Discs).

Qabalistically, we can view this scenario as Malkuth (10/Discs), Yesod (The Moon) and Tiphareth (the Queen) - our access to Hod (learning - 10/Swords) and Netzach (nature - 10/Wands) blocked by Xs (a decision, a crossroads).

A random throw of the dice (to decide our fate) reveals the number two in the ascendant, giving us The Fool (whose number 0 recalls The Moon) and The Star (whose star can be seen shining brightly in the midst of 10/Discs, the nature is within us if we look for it).

With The Fool, we see that the two hounds in The Moon terrifying the crayfish - have amalgamated into his small dog (he has conquered his fear of starting afresh) and he has swiped the two central batons of the Wands card to use as a walking stick and bindle.

In The Star we see the grandly attired Queen has shed her gaudy baubles of office (the materialism of 10/Discs) and she (like The Fool) has learned to live in the moment. The red cape which she sits on recalls the red "armour" of the crayfish - which she has also discarded to reveal her true self/nature, and the Queen's chalice is now fully functional (and doubled in purpose - 10/Wands+Swords as Netzach & Hod pouring out).

The clouds of the Moon's firmanent have now parted in The Star to reveal bright and shining orbs of light.
