I don't know who needs to hear this but I just wanna let the disabled community know, It's okay Not to finish tasks. I started cleaning my room today and didn't even get a 16th of the way done before it started to hurt. But now I can open my door. Stop hurting yourself to get things done. It's counterproductive.

If I had a fucking wheelchair I wouldn't be in this much pain right now.
I overdid it again today simply because I had no choice. My hips, knees and ankles are killing me. But when aren't they?
If I had a fucking wheelchair I'd actually be able to live.

When someone says ‘How are you’ it’s just easier to say ‘good thanks’. Even though it’s not true.

prompt for hip pain in a whumpee?
whumpee is an athlete or a dancer, or someone whose career depends on them being able to move and use their hip, so they decide to keep their pain a secret and strain themself by going on stage anyway for fear of “holding their team back”. half performance in and they’re lying on the floor with everyone around them all freaking out because ‘omg whumpee just collapsed’ and no one knows what’s going on.
since walking can help stiffness for hip pain, caretaker lets whumpee hold their hands as they slow walk together, and helps steady whumpee anytime whumpee’s about to lose their balance.
caretaker spoils whumpee with warm baths to help relax the muscle and relieve the pain.
whumpee moans in their sleep when sleeping on their hip worsens the pain, so caretaker gently wakes them up and helps hold an ice pack on whumpee’s hip to help with the swelling and the pain, before easing whumpee back asleep.

This is a new Covid side effect I did not know about. If you have a sore hip after Covid this could be why.

Hi, I saw you did some really cool pain illustrations, and I was wondering if you had ever done any for hip pain at all? I get pain on both the inside and outside of my hips and never really have a way to illustrate that to friends.

Moved from my side to my stomach and my hip popped. I can feel the other one begging to also be popped but I refuse. It's stomach time not hip popping time

my right hip joint(?) suddenly just started hurting really bad and it's kinda scary because this is usually how it's been before when a specific part of my body has started being permanently in pain. it usually starts with a sharp sudden pain that comes and goes or stays for a few hours and then disappears for a while but eventually comes back. and then it gradually comes more often until it's basically all the time. i already have chronic pain in my wrists, hands, fingers, ankles, toes and knees. the legs are the worst since they really affect my ability to walk and run but if my hips started being affected too it would make it significantly worse and i don't know how i would be able to handle that. it might go away and not come back but unfortunately i don't really have high hopes since it has happened so many times before with other body parts. this is just a bit of a vent post i guess but it's just scary being like this. chronic illness in general is scary but undiagnosed especially since i have no idea why this is happening or what will happen next. the worst thing is that im not getting any help figuring any of it out either, so I'm just stuck with my own thoughts and it's terrifying sometimes. I'm just hoping to be able to see someone, a doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, anyone who can take my symptoms seriously and finally figure out what's wrong with me and what to do about it.

I’m desperate. I want to play the sims so bad, but I’m physically disabled and have to be in bed most of the time. I’ve got my pc hooked up to my tv, and I even have a couch master. It still requires me to sit-up. So I have this wireless keyboard. Was thinking I could buy a wireless mouse and figure out some way to use the mouse in bed. Maybe even get those small little keyboards and just assign keys to be different hotkeys. Does any know a mousepad that would work? I was even considering using a small childrens hard cover book under one.
I’ve tried Reddit with minimal results. My orthopedic pillows help me a lot but even that’s not sitting up high enough for the couch master desk. Lap desks don’t work for me because putting weight on my leg causes pain :(
If anyone just has a similar setup I’d love to hear about it.
