Red Hood and The Outlaws rewrite

It starts in 2010 and ends in 2020,runs for 120 issues and happens in-universe over 3 years

The series is very goofy and silly often and in it's fundamental spirit but equally dark and layered in the same sense and is heavy on gags,jokes,violence and social talk.Putting the radicalism and intersectionalism back in comics

The canon couples are Jason/Summer,Eddie/Lilith,Rose/Pepper,Thad/Azriel,Duke/Luna Vásquez,Kahali/Tim Drake,Imani/Vicia López,Kyle/Venus,Artemis/Daisy and Mathew/Jennifer and Raven is aroace.The other adult Outlaws view eachother with very strong platonic love that can be taken as polyamorous love except Summer and Imani who are sisterly and Jason and Raven who are queerplatonic partners and the Kid Outlaws are seen as younger siblings by them with Thad also being considered their adoptive son-By Summer especially and he straight up views him as his mom

Jason is goth punk,Eddie is a metalhead,Rose is goth butch,Summer is pastel punk,Thad is skapunk,Pepper is y2k,Raven is pastel goth,Duke is a solarpunk fashionista,Kahali is whimsigoth,Imani is Aliyahcore,Kyle is losercore-i mean distinct,Artemis is a jock,Venus is ghetto fabulous,Mathew is weirdcore,Daisy is a softgirl,Lilith is scenemo,Jennifer is a prep and Azriel is kidcore

Summer is the Team Mom and Jason is the Team Dad and they're nicknamed 'Supermom and Dadhood' as a teasing joke that they only embrace post getting together(And yet somehow this dosen't stop Jason from saying Summer is a milf with complete honesty and zero hesitation).Raven is the boba aunt

Their base is called The Fortress-named by Summer obviously-and it's an old abandoned huge residence that they started living in after exorsicing it due to investigation leading them there and the moving in decision was made because the beings in it agreed to bless it with eternal running water and electricity as a thank you for helping them move onto the afterlife at last.Everyone has their own room with their own tricked out aesthetic but it's common for them to share their beds and Imani refuses to actually sleep alone,not that any of them mind after a while despite her unconventional sleeping habits

Small note:Kyle is in the same age group as Jason but because i feel he's even more interesting if he starts out being a power ring holder as a teenager and it adds extra tragedy and opportunities to his plots.And they don't actually meet until adulthood-Their mutual connection is Kyle and Summer having been a thing for a short time when they were both teens and Jason being Summer's childhood best friend since they were 11.This notion also applies to Artemis,she gets introduced as a teen hero too instead of that oversexualization bs and keeps her history but just adjusted so she's still Artemis Grace!!

As stated,Jason,Eddie and Rose were the original trio and Jason got them to become Outlaws pretty easily thanks to Eddie having been sidekick besties with him and Summer too and Rose is always up for moral grayness(and is coincedentally another one of Summer's exes-His first ever girlfriend in fact!)and Summer joined post Ember/Red Hood thanks to him and Jason reuniting in Utrh and the series being about them reconnecting as he unintentionally influenced him to become more sardonic and brutal like they were as a kid so the Metropolis media framed them as 'evil all along' and that hurt them so much combined with smear campaign Lex did against them as a kid he worked so hard to disprove for so long that they finally ran away from home and joined The Outlaws like Jason wanted him to so they'd be a team again.He gifted him a black domino mask as 'giving him a piece of himself' to finish off the new costume Summer made.After a decent while of just The Dark Four Core,Pepper came along as the fifth member because of her crush on Summer she'd gained due to their flirtatiouns back in Metropolis that he still returned and they accidentally rescued Thad from dying in a chaotic and quick incident and took him in since he had literally nowhere to go

And the Raven lore by Amrit:Her second ressurection takes place right before Under The Red Hood and the cult that did the ritual chose an indian girl's body because Azarath and Indian are closely linked.She dosen't rejoin the Teen Titans as she feels infantalized at the idea so she takes a year off but once it passes her life is still in shambles-She barely talks to any of her friends,most of her loved ones are dead and so many people are scared of her.Dick hires her to track down Jason and she loves and misses him so much she says yes so she's introduced as the first big Rhato villain but we actually don't know it's her at first and it's a grand reveal.Eddie is the only one who dosen't know who she is as Jason and Summer recognize her from their Robin and Sparks/sidekick days and her and Rose were actually friends during The Titans and the Dark Core Four help her accept her rage in a really cool fight scene,then she calls a true with them and basically becomes their field medic 2 issues later and teaches them meditation and such practices.She starts patching things up with the other people in her life but her and Dick still argue a lot and when he finds out about her teaming up with The Outlaws,they have a huge fight that ironically makes her decided to officially join them and change her codename but they do eventually repair their relathionship

Pepperose was just a natural thing that happened-They flirted on first meeting mutually and Rose was shellshocked Pepper actually hit on her back and then kinda became obsessed with in a non-creepy way her LMFAO She acts like a booktok bf💀Peps is very happy about it though and they're 'gal pals' for about 50 issues before sealing the deal and doing the official girlfriends thing.Rose calls her Pinkie Pie and Pepper calls her 'my favorite rose'.Pepper dosen't really change all that much other than improved self-eestem and getting stronger(and bustier and curvier as her hrt really hits)but she also kills Slade for good out of love for Rose and that's when Rose kisses her,no holding back anymore and they're married by the 2nd to last issue and Rose's 'Willow' mantle comes in at issue 91 and her arc is a heavy but good one that's all about her being human despite what others say

Kahali was gruesomely murdered by The Joker as he filmed the whole thing and sent a physical copy to Summer with a note that said 'history repeats are as sweet as you are,Dearie Em' because of them being intergenerational best friends and partners on the hero field as Ember and Bloody Mary and he'd even taken on the parental role in his life,not just a mentor anymore after his mom's death and his birth dad being an abusive shitstain and they kept in touch which is how The Joker found Kahali.Summer was catatonic but also stuck in his dragon/Kryptofang form and when he snapped back to conciousness,he flew to Gotham before his cremation ceremony to dunk him in the Lazarus Pit,knowing it's exact location thanks to Talia helping out The Outlaws now and then as Jason's adoptive mom and lead of Taliacorp,the reworked ex-Lexcorp she took over in her run of the same name.Kahali came back with Pit Powers much stronger than Jason's and he rubs it in his face,along with it turning his hair completely white but he still dyes it red and Summer mother hen's him more than ever for obvious reasons(well those and the additional one is Summer also got killed and ressurected by a Gotham Rogue as a sidekick)and Kahali updated himself from Bloody Mary to his current moniker.Tim and him were a very atypical couple on every level but that only made them happier with and better for eachother and Tim entered his villain era as 'Dove' over what happened because he believed Kahali was his soulmate and saviour and even had plans to marry him despite not asking him out yet and ironically enough they reunited on the battlefield without recognizing eachother at first until Tim did first and unmasked himself in shock just like Jason did to Summer in Utrh.Time stood still until they rushed up to kiss in relief and disbelief in Tim's case and they started a secret long distance relathionship after that

Artemis joined for reasons that're a bit complicated to match her origin story but the jist of it is she was living in the normal world and deemed them worthy of her companionhood despite how annoying she found them(especially Jason)and they helped her out with her emotions and better translating her mannerisms and she technically turned into a goddess permanently(and willingly)and Kyle had a lot of crazy ass Lanterns shit happen that had him be forced by his mentors to take a breather and he choose a crosscountry roadtrip and he met his teammates by almost running Eddie over because he was trying to eat freshly made ramen and it got in his eyes.He had a bit of a morals trip with his new friends and old ex boygirlfriend he's still mutually flirty with sometimes to say the least(and ends the run thee White Lantern).There's heavy featuring of his parents and past in this because hooooooo boy,he is a character of all time!!

Duke is the 5th Robin because of Summer's involvement and he got a year in pretty good but then him and Bruce nearly broke apart over a fight and he got so scared of being fired as Robin because of being only a 12 year old technical orphan(jokerized parents and Gnonom for a biodad)he followed Summer's footsteps by ditching Gotham and that was how he meet Jason,who introduced himself as his true identity to him because of Summer's positive talk of him and accepted Duke's ask for shelter and so Duke was now an Outlaw.He wasn't forced to kill but he did become pretty harsh in fights and this caused him angst only for a bit as he was reassured by the older members.In Issue 39,Jason snarks he was just 'The Replacement Robin' and Duke defensively says 'You were always my favorite Robin when i was little!I never even got to see you in action but you're my favorite for good now!' and Jason is taken back and stunned,completely clueless on how to process it and in issue 110,Duke says to Jason '.....I was never a real Robin.I've been with you guys way longer than i ever was with Bruce-' and Jason cuts him off with 'Yeah,no shit you were never Batman's Robin.You're The Outlaws' Robin-You're my Robin and you always have been and you always will be' and Duke breaks down so Jason comforts him and that's when Summer walks in with their Dairy Super and Batburger double flight orders and asks what happened but helps in further comforting him before either even get to explain with Duke thanking him for being the reason he got to take the first step to heroism to which he gets platonically bubbly and flattered and tells him he's the perfect Robin and Duke does a toothy happy grin that takes up most of the last panel in that issue.A text box reads 'Duke Thomas is happy.Jason Todd is happy again,thanks to him.They're eachother's Robin,on purpose and by choice'

All the direct longlasting exposure to so much super science-y and magic jazz and trazz made his power system escelarate and he went from light and darkness powers to straight up reality warping.He gets stuck in a pocket dimension for a hot sec but Summer and Jason pull him out with Thad's help as an expert on that situation.The universe is trying to create the N52 but Duke's Robinhood is stopping it and in an arc of 18 issues to symbolize the 18 core Outlaws,Duke,Summer,Jason,Thad,Kahali,Jennifer,Mathew,Imani,Kyle,Venus,Raven,Eddie,Rose and Pepper get the headfirst headons into helping completely erase even the slimest posibility of the N52 canonizing but ALL The Outlaws are in on it,including an unfringed Tam as our Batgyal and honorary Outlaw for two and a half months at the time!!Duke as our Robin deserves that dramatic ahh 'We love you and always want you with us,nobody else could be our Robin' storyline.Our Sunspot has earned it

Imani gets hired because of her reputation as a leathily effecient spy and she fits right in,crying herself to sleep a few times after they'd been together long enough to call eachother family.She's a gremlin from the start and influences Mathew to be the same and she's close to everybody but Summer and her are interdimensional sisters soulmates a la Percy Jackson and Hazel Levesque and he was the first one to break down her walls and they go out of their way to defend the other nonstop and this helps Summer's eldest daughter syndrome trauma.Catblooded/Vimani starts in a remastered Gotham War which is about them and The Watchers and lest to say they're perfect together and Jason,Kyle,Mathew,Lilith and Jennifer NEVER let them live it down.Lilith's intro is a parody of Batman 357-Instead of stealing his tires,she hacked Jason's computer to leak his old Undertale chats and he begged her to join in humiliating ways only for it to be revealed she only did it for fun and came to join because Summer and him were close friends in their teen years but got seperated due to Hell bussiness.She made sure to take pictures 'to send to Summie of his cringelord ass hubbie'.None of these words are denied by anyone at all

At the same time this was happening,Artemis,Azriel,Thad,Pepper and Duke were on a mission and Artemis was almost fatally wounded but Daisy came in as her angel with healing oitments made with her chlorokinesis and Artemis saw her with a glowing pink halo around her head,too enchanted by her to care about almost dying.Daisy was a duo with Lilith and had the same reasoning as her for being there but they got seperated thanks to a villain attack and they're the team hacker and team botanist.They picked Venus up at a party she was DJ'ing and she started as only an ally but joined them officially in a parallel to Teen Titans 2003!Tara Markov after an angst arc and it actually took her and Kyle a hot sec to get officially together due thinking their attraction was purely physical and her and Pepper did a toon girlypop squee sequence after she got the official Outlaw title as Star Sapphire solidarity.Mathew was having insecurities over not being as good as Summer because he's not as Clark-esque as him

This leads into 'Superguy's Breaking Out' arc,when Lor-Zod infects him with black kryptonite and it functions as an angstified mythology gag to the widely beloved Multicolor Raven Emotions from the Teen Titans cartoon as we get Superguy,Negasuper,Supernega and Guysuper in manifistations of Mat's kindness,anger,envy and creativity and a Krypton heavy arc follows as it leads to the dual swords Kaliodoton and Kryptoscade,the legendary kryptonian swords that were wielded by various kryptonian and kryptofang duos throught Krypton's history and now Mathew Kent and Summer Kent to complete their journey to fix Mat's self-eestem and uncover even more of Fantasma's backstory,the ghost of the last surviving Kryptofang that lives in Summer's head as a DID metaphor(with the following symptoms and required trauma to turn him into a system!).Their quest lasts three weeks and they return to The Fortress to the world's biggest group hug with Mathew especially misty eyed but in a happy way and have a huge cultural fusion dinner they all made together that includes previously lost kryptonian recipes

Jennifer was missing from Gotham because she'd been given Lian's teleported across time and space multiple times storyline due to an accident that happened while on a quest for Solana Banks to restore her lost home dimension Helioas because she thought she'd found an articifact that would but misenterpreted it's powers.Lucky for her,her journey only lasted 1 year instead of multiple and she crashlanded inside The Fortress literally in the middle of The Outlaws video game night.She wasn't ready to live normally again just yet so she stayed and became an official member as a result,from Batgal to Batika.And to complete our family,Azriel had the easiest and most simplistic one-Lilith asked Jason to let her join them because of how strong she is and not having many friends so he accepted and she's actually the goriest of the Outlaws beating even Thee Red Hood in it and this is part of her demonic nature and carries no secret undertones to it.Like Flowergrace,Thadzriel was love at first newbie sight and they have such a sweet middle school dating dynamic

Raven and Kahali take a trip to India to rediscover and reclaim their respective cultures and bond in the process,becoming siblings almost as close as Kahali and Summer.They get matching jhumkas while they're there!!The other ooc(Outlaws of color)all get to visit their motherlands too at some point in the story and Pepper gets a bonus with the Pepperose wedding taking place in Italy

Luna appears in a significant amount of issues but since she's Aquafam she sticks to her own territory most of the time and her and Duke are purely platonic,having met in Robin 2007,with love not blooming until Duke becomes The Signal and leads a new team he made called The Lights with Luna joining as 'Moonguide' and they have a slowburn that spans until their adults years as Eris(Duke)and Selene(Luna).Like Summer to Jason,Luna is the Starfire to Duke's Robin and an honorary Kid Outlaw

Jaysumm's dynamic is childhood best friends and sidekick partners > Enemies only in the technical sense > Best friends again but Jason flirting with Summer constantly and Summer not buying Jason isn't joking because of their history together > Being insuferably obviously in love and Summer's literally the ONLY one who dosen't know > Fwb who act like a couple already with Jason still only knowing it on his side and angst for him as a result > Sneaking off to take Jon off trick or treating in opposite costumes(fairy goddess princess and blood moon werewolf)and Summer's epiphany finally happens so he confesses when they make it home and Jason confesses back so they make out and sleep together literally > Official couple when exactly 11 issues remaining in a 120 part series LMFAO

Culturally fused team,both race and species.Afrolatino and brown latino,kryptonian and amazonian,speedster abonimation and macabita demon,human and meta and so forth.Subculture fused too as they frequently participate in eachother's aesthetics and interests and they're all multilingual.Clashes between them occasionally but never too bad

The covers always fuck NO exceptions,Summer does meta commentary telling fans to not buy their merch officially and to instead get it secondhand or they'll be dissapointing him but Pepper full on breaks the fourth wall and Jennifer gained the same power from the No N52 Mission and Lilith can too,it has it's own official opening on the official DCAU channel and a few shorts and this includes a pride video like the Bubbline one by Cartoon Network and it stars Jaysumm,Pepper is the most well-known and beloved trans DC character,they're SUPER popular in in Latin America and with latino-americans,it has multiple lego sets and The Outlaws Girls even got their own doll line and they have crossover mini series with Young Justice that's 24 issues and called 'Just Us,No Laws'

There's a Scooby Doo crossover event since it's confirmed DC is canon to the Scoobertverse and it's 27 issues and titled 'Scooby Doo and The Outlaws',a graphic novel by Bryan O'Malley in the Scott Pilgrim artstyle and storytelling font called 'Jason Todd's After Afterlife' and multiple Rhato x Atsv official arts because of Summer inspiring Hobie Brown's recreation as Spiderpunk in the 2010s with Superpunk in the 1990s as a butterfly effect ala Donald Grover and Miles Morakes(and there's even one of Gayatri meeting Kahali and Jaysumm meeting Punkflower)

That is a pâté fermente based French country bread, with saint angel cheese left out till very ripe, topped with oven roasted strawberries.

Also some pistachios, pluots, and butter for some extra bread. The sparkling pairing was a cocktail, with a strawberry juice, Pimms, honey, and vanilla syrup taking the place of your regular cassis-style, saint-Hilliard sparkling (not actually method champenoise)

For supper it was new potatoes, boiled and dressed with an onion, sriracha, mayo, red-wine vinegar, with garden thyme flowers and leaves. Garden peas with apple mint and butter, boiled. Tuna tataki, with a strawberry, miso, butter sauce. A green salad with sweet potato croutons, strawberries, pecorino, and a basic lettuce salad. Dressing was prickly pear vinaigrette.

Finally, just whipped cream, with strawberries macerated with orange zest and orange blossom water and some sugar and honey.

There was also a quite nice Curvée, and a rather delightful grand cru, both of which I’d never had before.

Essence of Summer: A Narrative in Triptychs (Final Project)

The purpose behind creating this work was to convey the essence of summer. I aimed to highlight different aspects of the season through symbols such as watermelon, sunglasses, and other iconic elements associated with summer. The choice to work with a summer theme stemmed from the fact that this is the first summer class I have ever taken, and I wanted to create something that would distinctly mark this experience. Each photograph chosen for the triptychs tells a story, capturing a moment in time. I intentionally maintained a consistent tone of saturated and warm hues throughout the images to evoke the vibrant and intense feeling of summer. By using triptychs, I was able to explore multiple perspectives within a single narrative, offering a more complex story than a single photo could convey.

Three of the works were taken outdoors in natural lighting, while one was captured indoors under lamp lighting. Each object in the photos was purposefully selected and arranged to fit the summer theme. To maintain consistency in angle and composition for the outdoor shots, I used a tripod, which also allowed me to include myself in the photos. Each triptych carries its own narrative: one featuring fruits and iced water conveys the refreshing relief that everyone seeks in the summer; another, by the pool, shows a girl ready to swim, only to find the pool closed with green water, symbolizing the unexpected disappointments summer can bring. The triptych with sunglasses against the sky captures the simple joy of basking in the sun, while the final one, with a fan, sunscreen, and watermelon, showcases the essentials of a typical summer day.

I drew inspiration from David Hilliard, known for his complex narratives that explore various themes and situations, from quiet moments of contemplation to scenes of heightened drama. I used his work as a guide, striving to translate my vision of summer into this project. My goal was to convey the sensations of summer—the heat, the challenges, and the joys—through small yet significant details. Each element was chosen to capture the essence of this season, focusing on the familiar experiences and objects that define summer for many of us.

SAM REVELES: SOLASTALGIA

Exhibition at The Hilliard Art Museum.

A series of four large canvases produced for the exhibition chart the artist’s affective experience of visiting the Gullfoss Falls in southwest Iceland. These “Golden Falls,” formed by water from the melting Langjökull glacier, create a dramatic spectacle in the Hvitá river canyon. There, waterfalls more than 100 feet in two stages, carve a deep canyon into the landscape. The site was at the epicenter of an international debate in the early 20th century: in 1907, an Englishman attempted to develop a hydroelectric plant fueled by the water’s power.

A local sheep farmer, Tómas Tómasson, refused to sell his land to the businessman; his daughter, Sigríður Tómasdóttir led a 20-year legal battle to protect the land from development. The first three paintings in Reveles’s Gullfoss series take yellow, blue, and red, respectively, as their central color palette, following dynamic lines that suggest the majestic power of their namesake.

The fourth painting in the series is marked by thick strokes of overlapping and slightly translucent colors: peach, yellow, salmon, azure, crimson, a verdant green. Guiding the composition from the corners and edges of the canvas, densely gridded pencil lines undulate and flow into one another, suggestively evoking the many moods of water.

The Best Queen's Blood Deck In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is finally out, and it’s a treat, especially for fans of the original game – you can read Game Informer’s review here to find out what we loved and didn’t love across our 80 hours with the game. However, regardless of whether you’re a long-time fan or not, one thing new to everyone playing Rebirth is Queen’s Blood. 

Introduced early in Rebirth, Queen’s Blood is an in-universe card game that seemingly everyone around Gaia’s various continents plays, from Junon to Nibelheim and elsewhere. And after spending dozens of hours playing it, I can understand why – it rules. It’s easily my favorite game-within-a-game ever, and one I hope spins out into its own thing in some form, be it a digital card game, a physical one, or something else. 

It can be a difficult game, though, but it’s one worth learning. It’s both satisfying in its own right but also unfolds across a mysterious side story that plays out through the game’s entire runtime. If you’re struggling to keep up with Gaia’s various opponents, though, we have you covered with the best Queen’s Blood deck, tips and tricks, and more. 

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: Queen’s Blood Tips And Tricks 

Don’t skip the tutorial: Perhaps you think this goes without saying, but someone – and we won’t name who (Kyle Hilliard) – skipped the tutorial and later regretted it. It’s quick, easy, and will open up the door to Rebirth’s best piece of side content. 

Placement is key in the beginning: In the early hours of Rebirth, winning Queen’s Blood is decided by placement and how much of the board you control. However, because you, the player, always go first, your opponent has an advantage: they can see where you place pawns (the green-lit markers that appear on the board depending on where you place cards) and can appropriately counter with a card that turns your pawn into theirs. For that reason, focus less on moving left to right across the board and more on countering your opponent’s moves by taking over their pawn placements. 

Check every general store for booster packs: As you venture to the Grasslands, Junon, Nibelheim, and elsewhere, you’ll come across general stores where you can buy potions, accessories, and more. At the bottom of the store’s inventory, there are often one or two new booster packs to purchase – do so. Even if you don’t use the cards in the pack, each pack costs 500 gil, which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Better to spend 500 gil on a potential card experiment than miss out on what could be your new favorite card. 

Use local maps to find players: There are 30 matches of Queen’s Blood to complete in the game, and they’re typically doled out to you in groups of two to three matches and a boss. After completing a group of Queen’s Blood matches, you’ll receive another set of challengers to track down. However, and especially as you progress through the game further, you might find yourself struggling to locate these players on the game’s various maps (I did). It wasn’t until my final hours with Queen’s Blood that I realized you really need to utilize the local maps on the map screen to find them. This reveals players in locations like inns and other buildings where they might not appear on region maps. 

Your opponent’s first few moves will tell all: Is your opponent advancing quickly from the right side of the play area to the left? They’re probably trying to lock you out of play space, and this could indicate their deck is built around getting as many cards as possible in play to stack up their numbers quickly. Are they focusing on building up a strong queue of cards on their side of the play area? They might have a deck built around replacement where they replace weaker cards with more powerful ones by placing them on top (and usually, with a special card that gains power after cards are destroyed through this replacement method). Over time, you’ll pick up on these cues that players give off in their opening turns, so keep an eye out for patterns. 

You can quickly restart a match, and it’s better than losing: When you lose a match in Queen’s Blood, you have to sit through the score tally animation and a screen that tells you that you’ve lost the match – it’s humiliating and, across the game’s various matches, adds up to time wasted. However, if you can already tell you’ve lost the match, you can quickly restart the battle by pressing start and hitting the retry battle button. 

Build multiple decks: You get six deck slots in the game, which means you can build six wildly different decks. We recommend doing so, especially in the earlier hours, as you run across many different types of opponents. You could have a replacement deck, a deck around destroying cards, a deck for weakening enemy cards, and one around taking over an entire board, for example. It’s worth doing and gives you an opportunity to experiment with new cards without messing up your favorite deck. 

Just because a card is new doesn’t mean it’s great: I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence on my end or something else, but more often than not, the cards I received upon beating opponents weren’t the greatest. A few hit – and they really hit, gaining a permanent spot in my favorite deck below – but most of them went unused after my initial testing. Maybe it will be different for you. What I’m trying to say is that just because you receive a new card after defeating an enemy doesn’t mean it’s a sure-fire win you should include in your favorite deck. Experiment and see what works and what doesn’t work for you.  

The Best Queen’s Blood Deck In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

After ranking up a few times in Queen’s Blood, which requires defeating a specified amount of opponents and various named “boss” characters, you’ll gain what is, in my opinion, the single best card: Migardsormr. Boasting a base strength of 6, a wide array of mat placement, and a special ability that increases its strength by +1 for every card destroyed after it is played (both enemy and ally cards destroyed, mind you), it’s a card I continuously win on the back of. 

Now, you’re, of course, free to build your deck however you want, but my personal deck, the one I consistently win with, is below (ignore the card on the right as it’s just the reward card): 

As you can see, the most important card is Migardsormr. From there, you can build it out how you’d like, but when using Migardsormr, it’s important to cater to its special ability. You should be using cards that destroy enemy cards and cards you can place on top of your own, thereby destroying the (ideally) weaker card beneath it.

When using this deck, it’s extra important to get Migardsormr placed as soon as possible. My typical start begins with a Security Clone placed in the middle row to the far left. This turns the two far-left spots above and below it into slots ready for cards that require two placement pawns. I often then place an Archdragon directly to the right of the Security Clone to turn those two-pawn spots into three-pawn spots, which allows me to throw down Migardsormr the next turn. 

There are other options to turn around a three-pawn spot quickly, and you’ll want to keep those options open in case your opponent immediately pushes from right to left, but for the most part, this three-turn setup gets Migardsormr out onto the playing field fast. From there, it’s all about playing cards that destroy enemy cards and replacing your own cards with stronger ones, like placing a Grandhorn (with a strength of 3) on top of the Security Clone. That move alone adds 2 to your total count (replacing Security Clone with Grandhorn) and an additional 1 to Migardsormr’s strength since you destroyed the Security Clone. 

Regardless of how you build your deck, we highly recommend using Migardsormr to create a deck themed around destroying enemy and ally cards to boost the strength of this serpentine fiend. Do that, and you’ll pick up some powerful wins, like a few of my best wins below:

CHARLES GAYLE, FREE JAZZ EN LIBERTÉ

Né le 28 février 1939 à Buffalo, dans l’État de New York, Charles Ennis Gayle Jr. était le fils de Charles Gayle Sr., un ouvrier dans l’industrie métallurgique, et de la mènagère Frances Gayle. Charles avait également une soeur, Dorothy, qui était de deux ans son aînée.

Gayle avait commencé à jouer du piano à l’âge de neuf ans, avant d’apprendre à jouer du saxophone en autodidacte. Il jouait aussi du piano à l’église. Lorsque durant la seconde moitié des années 1950, Gayle avait ressenti le besoin d’apprendre un autre instrument, il avait opté pour le saxophone. Les premières influences de Gayle comme saxophoniste étaient Charlie Parker, Coleman Hawkins et Dexter Gordon.

Gayle avait aussi appris à jouer de plusieurs instruments durant ses études au high school. Il excellait aussi au basketball et à l’athlétisme. Durant son adolescence au début des années 1950, Gayle, qui avait été particulièrement inspiré par des pianistes comme Thelonious Monk et Art Tatum, s’était produit avec plusieurs groupes de jazz et de blues.

Après avoir décroché son diplôme au Hutchinson Central Technical High School en 1957, Gale avait brièvement étudié au Fredonia State Teachers College.

DÉBUTS DE CARRIÈRE

Après ses études, Gayle était retourné à Buffalo où il avait commencé sa carrière musicale. Gayle avait d’abord joué de la trompette et du piano dans des clubs locaux. Par la suite, Gayle avait commencé à se concentrer sur le saxophone ténor. À la fin des années 1960 et au début des années 1970, Gayle avait aussi participé à des jam sessions avec Archie Shepp et Pharoah Sanders.

Pour rejoindre les deux bouts au début de sa carrière, Gayle avait également occupé un poste dans une usine de la compagnie Westinghouse. Il avait aussi travaillé dans une banque qui se spécialisait dans les prêts à des entreprises possédées par la communauté noire.

Gayle a fait ses débuts sur disque en 1965 avec le contrebassiste Buell Neidlinger et le battteur John Bergamo. L’album a été réédité en 2015 sous le titre de ‘’Gayle Force.’’

De 1970 à 1973, Gayle avait été assistant professeur de musique à la State University of New York at Buffalo (maintenant devenue l’Université de Buffalo). Parmi les étudiants de Gayle, on remarquait le saxophoniste Jay Beckenstein. Plus tard, Gayle avait aussi enseigné au Bennington College.

Lassé de ses responsabilités d’enseignant, Gayle avait quitté l’université et s’était installé à New York où il s’était consacré exclusivement à sa carrière musicale. Gayle était resté à New York durant environ dix ans avant de décider d’aller vivre dans les rues. Il faut dire que le style de jeu très agressif de Gayle au saxophone lui avait vite mérité la réputation d’être un peu trop centré sur lui-même.

Comme Gayle l’avait expliqué au cours d’une entrevue qu’il avait accordée en 2014:

“I just walked out one day and that was it. That was one of the greatest experiences I had in my life, though I didn’t do it for that reason. You have nothing and you’re not asking anybody for anything. We seek security, and you learn about how people perceive you because of what you look like or what they think you’re about.” 

À l’époque, Gayle avait presque tout sacrifié pour pouvoir jouer sa propre musique. Gayle, qui vivait comme un sans-abri dans des conditions d’extrême pauvreté, arrivait à peine à trouver de quoi manger. Comme il l’avait expliqué plus tard au cours d’une entrevue accordée à Fred Jung du magazine Jazz Weekly, ‘’ "I was going to do this or freeze to death out there.’’ Le contrebassiste Hilliard Greene, qui avait plus tard fait partie du groupe Gayle, avait raconté ce qu’il avait ressenti lorsqu’il avait entendu le saxophoniste jouer par la première fois: ‘’I heard the sound of this saxophone in Grand Central Station one day and ran all around until I found this guy in an overcoat who was playing for change. It was Charles, who is an amazing musician."

Décrivant son travail dans la rue, Gayle avait commenté: “Playing out there is obviously different than playing on a stage but that is so rich out there. I used to walk from Times Square, for instance, all the way to Wall Street playin’. I could walk back and never stop playing. I didn’t think about it as anything other than what it was.”

Dans le cadre de ses performances, Gayle se déguisait souvent en clown, ce qui lui permettait de se livrer à une certaine critique sociale et de réfléter ce qu’il appelait les choses ‘’that are in your heart." Décrivant sa fascination pour les clowns, Gayle avait commenté:

“It was really that simple. I saw a lot of clowns when I was young in the circus, but it was so liberating to go out in an audience while the band is playing and give a lady a rose or get rejected by her and everything — I can’t do that with regular clothes on. It helps a person mentally to escape — there’s a purpose in the escape, and it is the same thing as being in the music and trying to get past certain things. In order for me to do that I had to disappear.”

Même si en 1973, Gayle s’était aussi produit avec le groupe du batteur Rashied Ali, il se produisait surtout dans les rues à l’époque.

À l’époque, Gayle avait du matériel prêt pour publication par les disques ESP d’Albert Ayler, mais le projet avait été réduit à néant lorsque la compagnie avait fermé ses portes en 1975. Après avoir ressurgi de ses cendres en 2005, la compagnie avait publié un album live de Gayle qui avait été enregistré en 1994.

Gayle avait vécu durant plus de quinze ans comme sans-abri, se produisant dans les rues de New York jusqu’à ce qu’il effectue un retour en 1987.

DERNIERES ANNÉES

Vers 1987, le promoteur Michael Dorf avait entendu Gayle jouer dans la rue et avait décidé de le prendre sous son aile. Dorf avait engagé Gayle pour jouer tous les lundis soirs dans son club de Manhattan, le  Knitting Factory. Dorf lui avait également loué un petit appartement dans le Lower East Side. Afin de pouvoir rejoindre Gayle en tout temps, Dorf lui avait aussi procuré un téléphone cellulaire. Très reconnaissant à Dorf de lui avoir permis de se produire à nouveau sur scène et d’enregistrer, Gayle avait expliqué plus tard: "There really is no way to express my gratitude for that, for them being there.’’

À la fin des années 1980, Gayle avait aussi été découvert par le contrebassiste allemand Peter Kowald qui lui avait obtenu un engagement au Sound Unity Festival.

En avril 1988, Gayle avait enregistré trois albums avec le contrebassiste Sirone qui avaient contribué à le replacer dans l’actualité du jazz. Ces albums, qui étaient intitulés respectivement ‘’Spirits Before’’, ‘’Always Born’’ (enregistré avec le saxophoniste danois John Tchicai, le contrebassiste Sirone et le batteur Reggie Nicholson) et ‘’Homeless’’, avaient été publiés par la maison de disques suédoise Silkheart Records. 

Par la suite, Gayle avait aussi enregistré avec les compagnies de disques FMP, ESP-Disk et Black Saint.

Musicien très électique, Gayle, avait également fait des incursions sur la scène du rock expérimental de New York. Durant cette période, Gayle avait collaboré avec le groupe Blue Humans ainsi qu’avec le chanteur punk Henry Rollins avec qui il avait enregistré deux albums. Décrivant son ouverture aux autres musiques, Gayle avait expliqué: "You create your own path. I'm a risky person by nature."

Après avoir fait une tournée en Europe avec le contrebassiste William Parker, Gayle avait rendu hommage à John Coltrane en 1991 dans le cadre de l’album ‘’Touchin’ On Trane.’’ L’album, qui comprenait une longue suite en cinq parties et qui avait été le plus grand succès de la carrière de Gayle, avait été enregistré en trio avec Parker et l’ancien batteur de Coltrane, Rashied Ali. Après l’enregistrement de l’album, Gayle avait formé un quartet avec William Parker au violoncelle et au violon. Le groupe avait publié trois albums en janvier 1993, dont ‘’Translations’’ et ‘’Blue Shadows.’’ Gayle avait enchaîné le mois suivant avec l’album live ‘’Avant Knitting Tours.’’ En 1994, Gayle avait enregistré l’album ‘’Look Up’’. Dans le cadre de cet album, Gayle avait rendu hommage à deux de ses principales influences, Albert Ayler (sur la pièce ”Homage to Albert Ayler”) et Eric Dolphy (sur la pièce “I Remember Dolphy” sur laquelle il jouait de la clarinette basse).

En 1996, Gayle avait également collaboré avec de grands noms du free jazz comme le pianiste Cecil Taylor (album ‘’Always a Pleasure’’, 1993) et le batteur Sunny Murray.

Au cours de sa carrière, Gayle avait enregistré dans le cadre de différents formats, que ce soit en trio, en quartet ou en solo. En 1994, Gayle avait également joué du piano sur l’album ‘’Kingdom Come’’ avec un trio composé de William Parker à la contrebasse et de Sunny Murray à la batterie. Gayle avait également publié de nombreux albums live avec son trio. En 1997, Gayle avait aussi joué du piano et du saxophone soprano sur l’album live ‘’Solo In Japan.’’

Toujours dans les années 1990, Gayle avait également créé un personnage appelé Streets qu’il faisait apparaître sur scène vêtu de son célèbre costume de clown. En plus de jouer du saxophone, Gayle se produisait dans le cadre de mises en scène très théâtrales et élaborées qui lui permettaient d’exploiter ses talents de pantomime dans des scènes souvent très marquées par la violence. En 2012, Gayle avait même consacré un album complet à son personnage de Streets. Gayle a souvent expliqué qu’il avait un peu l’impression que Streets faisait tellement partie de lui-même qu’il se trouvait avec lui en dehors de la scène une fois débarrassé de son maquillage. Pour Gayle, le personnage de Streets lui permettait également d’exprimer des sentiments qu’il n’aurait pu véhiculer par sa seule musique. Gayle précisait:  "It's acting out, to a degree, love, pain, joy and things that happen in life — it could be a situation like your heart is broke, and I'll tear hearts up and start crying, and try to play it on the piano, too, or the horn. It's just things that are in your heart, that's all I'm saying." Gayle, qui n’avait jamais vraiment apprécié d’être sous les projecteurs, avait précisé: ‘’Streets means to me, first, a freedom from Charles. I'm not good at being the center of attention…. It's a liberation from Charles, even though it's me on the stage, it's a different person."

Au cours d’une entrevue accordée en 2013 pour le magazine Cadence, Gayle avait déploré que ses croyances religieuses avaient souvent été incomprises. Il faut dire que Gayle prononçait régulièrement des sermons apocalyptiques sur scène, et qu’il ne s’était pas gêné pour exprimer son opposition à l’homosexualité et à l’avortement, et ce, même dans le cadre de ses performances. Gayle expliquait:

Ajoutant qu’il ne pouvait séparer sa foi de sa musique, Gayle avait précisé:

“People have told me to shut up and stuff. I understand that I can turn people off with what I say or do. The problem that people have with me is not me. It’s Christ they have a problem with. I understand that when you start speaking about faith or religion, they want you to keep it in a box, but I’m not going to do that. Not because I’m taking advantage of being a musician; I’m the same everywhere, and people have to understand that.”

Un peu comme son idole John Coltrane, Gayle avait été très influencé par le gospel. Le séjour de Gayle dans la rue l’avait énormément changé et lui avait fait redécouvrir sa spiritualité. C’est d’ailleurs au cours de son séjour dans la rue que Gayle avait adhéré au mouvement Born Again Christian. Mais les sermons souvent moralisateurs que Gayle avait prononcés dans le cadre de ses concerts avaient laissé plusieurs de ses admirateurs sceptiques. Comme l’écrivait The Rough Guide to Jazz,

“His reclusive street existence and the born-again Christian preaching (which he has thankfully stopped) threatened to overshadow his identity as a player“, as put it. However, if one could get past the politics and disagreements that one might have with his attitude, one could never deny that Gayle was an astonishing musician.’’

Plusieurs des compositions et des titres d’albums de Gayle étaient d’ailleurs directement inspirés de la Bible. En témoignent des titres comme ‘’Repent’’ (1992), ’’Consecration’’ (1993), “Testaments” (1996), “Daily Bread” (1998), Ancient of Days’’ (1999) ‘’Delivered’’ (avec James Jones au piano, Gerald Benson à la contrebasse et Kalil Madi à la batterie en 1997) et  “Christ Everlasting.” (2015)

Commentant ses croyances religieuses, Gayle avait précisé: "I grew up with religion. I'm a believer. My hope is to be as open and honest as I can. I'm not saying my music is about God, but I dedicate my music to Him."

Refusant de confiner sa carrière à un simple rôle de divertissement, Gayle avait expliqué:

"I just felt a lot of times that playing wasn't enough for me, especially since I've been in the street. If it's a very major part of your life--not just playing, but eating out there, and hanging out, and sleeping out there, sometimes--it's not all about performing, and playing, or something very formal.... It wasn't a show to try to entertain anybody; it's just something I had to do for myself. It wasn't to try to bring some different art or anything to anybody; it's for me."

Dans les années 2000, Gayle avait aussi commencé à enregistrer en solo au piano. L’année suivante, Gayle avait d’ailleurs enregistré un album de standards intitulé ‘’Jazz Solo Piano’’, sur lequel il se produisait exclusivement au piano. L’album était un peu la réponse de Gayle aux critiques qui prétendaient que les musiciens de free jazz étaient incapables de jouer du bebop. En avril 2003, Gayle avait également publié un autre album de piano solo en concert intitulé ‘’No Bills.’’ En 2006, Gayle avait récidivé avec un autre album en piano solo intitulé ‘’Time Zones.’’ Contrairement à l’album ‘’Jazz Solo Piano’’, le disque était composé entièrement de compositions originales.

En 2004, Gayle avait aussi collaboré avec le Sirone-Bang Ensemble (qui comprenait Sirone à la contrebasse, Billy Bang au violon et Tyshawn Sorey à la batterie) dans le cadre de l’album ‘’Configuration.’’ En 2007, Gayle avait retrouvé ses vieux partenaires William Parker et Rashied Ali à l’occasion de l’enregistrement de l’album ‘’By Any Means’’ sur lequel il jouait du saxophone alto. Le groupe avait également enregistré en 2014 un album en concert intitulé ‘’Live At Jazzwerkstatt Peitz.’’

Véritable multi-instrumentiste, Gayle jouait non seulement du saxophone ténor, mais aussi du saxophone alto et du saxophone soprano, du piano, de la viole, de la clarinette basse, de la contrebasse et de la batterie.

On peut également voir Gayle se produire avec le trio du contrebassiste allemand Peter Kowald dans le documentaire “Rising Tones Cross.’’ Tourné en 1985, le film était produit et dirigé par l’ancienne épouse de Gayle, Ebba Jahn. Dans le film, on voyait Gale jouer avec Rashied Ali, Marilyn Crispell et plusieurs autres musiciens. Il était également interviewé.

Cisco Bradley a également consacré une biographie à Gayle qui devrait être publiée en 2024. Gayle s’est marié trois fois, mais tous ses mariages se sont terminés par un divorce. Gayle, qui qui avait toujours été plutôt discret sur sa vie privée, avait justifié ainsi son désir de protéger certains aspects de sa vie personnelle: “I had to shed my history, my life. Everything had to stop right there.”

Atteint de la maladie d’Alzheimer, Gayle avait dû ralentir le nombre de ses enregistrements et de ses performances au milieu des années 2010.

Charles Gayle est mort le 5 septembre 2023 à Brooklyn. Il était âgé de quatre-vingt-quatre ans. Même si les causes de la mort de Gayle n’ont pas été précisées, il est possiblement décédé des suites de la maladie d’Alzheimer, dont il souffrait depuis plusieurs années. La mort de Gayle avait été annoncée par la danseuse et organisatrice communautaire Patricia Nicholson Parker, qui avait elle-même appris la nouvelle par le fils de Gayle, Ekwambu. Parker avait annoncé la mort du saxophoniste dans le cadre d’un communiqué publié conjointement avec son mari, le contrebassiste William Parker. On pouvait lire dans le communiqué: "His immense genius was a gift to a suffering world. Yet a healing music flowed like a river through him. Charles Gayle was a master musician for all time."

Outre Ekwambu, ont survécu à Gayle ses deux autres fils Michael et Dwayne, ainsi qu’une petite-fille.

Gayle avait enregistré son dernier album en 2017. Il avait présenté son dernier concert l’année suivante.

Le batteur Michael Wimberley, qui avait travaillé avec Gayle depuis le début des années 1990, l’avait qualifié de père, de mentor et d’ami ‘’whom I had the pleasure of creating some of the most adventurous improvised sounds, shapes and musical dialogues with.” Wimberley avait ajouté: “Charles’s intensity on the horn was so powerful in person. I had never experienced anything like music of that intensity before! He pulled me into the sonic center of his sound and raptured me.”

Le son de Gayle au saxophone ténor, qui était une sorte de combinaison entre le style d’Ornette Coleman et d’Albert Ayler, était souvent énergique et désordonné, et reflétait un certain sentiment d’urgence. Gayle ne faisait pas que jouer dans les rues; sa musique était en communication constante avec les bruits de la ville de New York, qu’il s’agisse des sons du métro, des autobus, de la circulation automobile ou des sirènes de police. Le critique Ben Ratliff du New York Times avait commenté: “He plays tenor saxophone in cries and gabbles and interval jumps and long tones; his music usually describes motion and spirit rather than corresponding to preset tonal centers, rhythms and melodies.”

Lorsqu’on avait demandé à Gayle pourquoi il jouait toujours avec une telle fureur, il avait expliqué: "Why do I play the way I do? I just feel driven. I feel like I haven't even started to play--that I'm just getting into it. Sometimes I think I could switch styles tomorrow and go onto some other kind of music. But first I'll have to burn this out." Souvent comparé à Ayler, le jeu de Gayle avait fait dire au critique Chris Kelsey du All Music Guide,  

"His improvisations feature long, vibrating, free-gospel melodies, full of huge intervallic leaps, screaming multiphonics, and a density of line that evidences a remarkable dexterity in all registers of his horn (especially the altissimo). Gayle is also capable of great lyricism, imbued with the same bracing intensity present in his high-energy work."

En 2000, Gayle avait d’ailleurs démontré un grand lyrisme dans le cadre de l’enregistrement de l’album ‘’Ancient of Days.’’

Comme plusieurs de ses contemporains, Gayle avait été particulièrement influencé par Albert Ayler et John Coltrane. Mais loin de se contenter d’un simple rôle d’imitateur, Gayle s’était servi de ses modèles pour aller plus loin musicalement. Un des collaborateurs les plus réguliers de Gayle, le contrebassiste William Parker, avait déclaré au cours d’une entrevue accordée au magazine Jazz Times en 2019: "Charles was a legend, in a way. Musically he has this energy — an electric, acoustic, organic energy coming out of his horn. And everybody who heard it said you could hear all the history of the saxophone in there: Sonny Rollins, Albert Ayler, Coltrane. But it was Charles." 

Même si Gayle jouait parfois de la viole et de la clarinette basse sur certains de ses albums, son deuxième instrument demeurait toujours le piano.

Sorte de Don Quichotte moderne, Gayle avait manifesté son intention de retourner vers un jazz plus traditionnel en 2013. Il expliquait: ‘’I don’t want to leave it out now… and I want to try to really get in it more, inside.” 

Même s’il était reconnu pour être plutôt humble envers lui-même, Gayle était quand même conscient de ses propres capacités. Un jour, Gayle avait suggéré au saxophoniste ténor David Murray de se tenir éloigné des standards, sous prétexte qu’il n’était pas aussi bon dans les transitions que Johnny Griffin ! Ironiquement, quand Gayle s’était produit au club Knitting Factory dans les années 1980, il avait interprété le standard “I Want to Talk About You”, une pièce souvent associée à Coltrane mais qui était aussi devenue le titre d’un des albums de Murray.

En plus d’avoir influencé plusieurs musiciens de jazz, Gayle avait également inspiré le poète Steve Dalachinsky qui lui avait consacré un recueil de poèmes intitulé ‘’The Final Nite: Complete Notes from a Charles Gayle Notebook’’ en 2006. Le recueil s’était mérité le PEN Oakland / Josephine Miles Literary Award. En 2014, le Vision Festival avait aussi décerné à Gayle un Lifetime Achievement Award pour couronner l’ensemble de sa carrière.

Grand admirateur de Gayle, le saxophoniste de free jazz Steve Baczkowski, avait déclaré à son sujet: "He was one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. The way he functioned was merely to serve the music. His music was never offering anything to do with calling attention to himself."

Red Hood and The Outlaws rewrite

Starts in 2010 and ends in 2020 with 120 issues

The lineup is,in joining order:Jason Todd(Red Hood and briefly a Star Sapphire),Eddie Bloomberg(Red Devil),Rose Wilson(Ravager),Summer Kent(Ignite and brierly a Black Lantern),Pepper Jackson(Star Sapphire),Thaddeus Thawne(Inertia),Kahali Roy(Bloody Mary),Duke Thomas(Robin),Imani Javiera(Panthress),Kyle Rayner(Green Lantern),Artemis Grace(Artemis of Bana-Mighdall),Venus Sparks(Star Sapphire),Mathew Wayne(Batboy and briefly a Green Lantern),Lilith Morningstar(Hex)and Daisy Hilliard(Paradisia),Jennifer Williams(Batgal) and Azriel Morningstar(Ghoul)

Jason,Eddie and Rose are the 'Original Outlaws Trinity' and them and Summer are the 'Dark Core Four'.Jason is the founder and leader and Summer his right hand man who takes over when he can't

Almost all trans and autistic with Pepper as the token allistic and Mathew the token cis.Jason is afro-dominican,Rose and Artemis are brownskin and brown eyed,Summer is a half white afrolatina(dominican),Thaddeus is half black too,Kahali is indian(sindhi-bengali),Imani is afro-puerto rican and Venus,Lilith,Azriel,Daisy and Jennifer are monoracial black women.Jason,Summer,Imani and Lilith are also fat and Jaysumm is tank4tank

Sometimes a found family can be 17 crazy ass vigilantes who some of weren't even vigilantes at first

The series is very goofy and silly often and in it's fundemental spirit but equally dark and layered in the same sense and is heavy on gags,jokes,violence and social talk.It also takes place over 3 in-universe years

The canon couples are Jason/Summer,Eddie/Lilith,Rose/Pepper,Thad/Azriel,Kahali/Tim Drake,Duke/Luna Vasquéz,Imani/Vicia López,Kyle/Venus,Artemis/Daisy and Mathew/Jennifer.The other adult Outlaws view eachother with very strong platonic love that can be taken as polyamorous love except Summer and Imani who are sisterly and the kid Outlaws are seen as younger siblings by them with Thad also being considered their adoptive son-By Summer especially and he straight up views him as his mom

Jason is goth punk,Eddie is a metalhead,Rose is goth butch,Summer is pastel punk,Pepper is y2k,Thad is a skater,Kahali is whimsigoth,Duke is a fashionista,Imani is black y2k,Kyle is losercore-i mean distinct,Artemis is a jock,Venus is ghetto fabulous,Mathew is weirdcore,Lilith is scenemo,Daisy is a softgirl,Jennifer is a prep and Azriel is kidcore

Summer is the Team Mom and Jason the Team Dad and they're nicknamed 'Supermom and Dadhood' as a teasing joke that they only embrace post getting together(And yet somehow this dosen't stop Jason from saying Summer is a milf with complete honesty and zero hesitation)

Their base is called The Fortress-named by Summer obviously-and it's an old abandoned huge residence that they started living in after exorsicing it due to investigation leading them there and the moving in decision was made because the beings in it agreed to bless it with eternal running water and electricity as a thank you for helping them move onto the afterlife at last.Everyone has their own room with their own tricked out aesthetic but it's common for them to share their beds and Imani refuses to actually sleep alone,not that any of them mind after a while despite her unconventional sleeping habits

Small note:Kyle is in the same age group as Jason but because i feel he's even more interesting if he starts out being a power ring bearer as a teenager and it adds extra tragedy and opportunities to his plots.And they don't actually meet until adulthood-Their mutual connection is Kyle and Summer having been a thing for a short time when they were both teens and Jason being Summer's childhood best friend since they were 11.This notion also applies to Artemis,she gets introduced as a teen hero too instead of that oversexualization bs and keeps her history but just adjusted so she's still Artemis Grace!!

As stated,Jason,Eddie and Rose were the original trio and Jason got them to become Outlaws pretty easily thanks to Eddie having been sidekick besties with him and Summer too and Rose is always up for moral grayness(and is coincedentally another one of Summer's exes-His first ever girlfriend in fact!)and Summer joined post Ember/Red Hood thanks to him and Jason reuniting in Utrh and the series being about them reconnecting as he unintentionally influenced him to become more sardonic and brutal like they were as a kid so the Metropolis media framed them as 'evil all along' and that hurt them so much combined with smear campaign Lex did against them as a kid he worked so hard to disprove for so long that they finally ran away from home and joined The Outlaws like Jason wanted him to so they'd be a team again.He gifted him a black domino mask as 'giving him a piece of himself' to finish off the new costume Summer made.After a decent while of just The Dark Four Core,Pepper came along as the fifth member because of her crush on Summer she'd gained due to their flirtatiouns back in Metropolis that he still both returned and they accidentally rescued Thad from dying in a chaotic and quick incident and took him in since he had literally nowhere to go

Pepperose was just a natural thing that happened-They flirted on first meeting mutually and Rose was shellshocked Pepper actually hit on her back and then kinda became obsessed with in a non-creepy way her LMFAO She acts like a booktok bf💀Peps is very happy about it though and they're 'gal pals' for about 50 issues before sealing the deal and doing the official girlfriends thing.Rose calls her Pinkie Pie and Pepper calls her 'my favorite rose'.Pepper dosen't really change all that much other than improved self-eestem and getting stronger but she also kills Slade for good out of love for Rose and that's when Rose kisses her,no holding anymore and they're married by the 2nd to last issue and Rose's codename dosen't stay Ravager for the whole series as she eventually uses the 'Willow' mantle and her arc is a heavy but good one that's all about her being human despite what others say

Kahali was gruesomely murdered by The Joker as he filmed the whole thing and sent a physical copy to Summer with a note that said 'history repeats are as sweet as you,Dearie Em'.Summer was catatonic but also stuck in his dragon/Kryptofang form and when he snapped back to conciousness,he flew to Gotham before his cremation ceremony to dunk him in the Lazarus Pit,knowing it's exact location thanks to Talia helping out The Outlaws now and then as Jason's adoptive mom.Kahali came back with Pit Powers that were much stronger than Jason's and he rubs it in his face,along with it having turned his hair completely white but he still dyes it red and Summer mother hen's him more than ever for obvious reasons(well those and the additional one is Summer also got killed and ressurected by a Gotham Rogue as a sidekick)and Kahali updated himself to 'Blood Maker'.Tim and him were a very atypical couple on every level but that only made them happier with and better for eachother and Tim entered his villain era as 'Dove' over what happened because he believed Kahali was his soulmate and saviour and even had plans to marry him despite not asking him out yet and ironically enough they reunited on the battlefield without recognizing eachother at first until Tim did first and unmasked himself in shock just like Jason and Summer.Time stood still until they rushed up to kiss in relief and disbelief in Tim's case and they started a secret long distance relathionship after that

Artemis joined for reasons that are a bit complicated to match her origin story but the jist of it is she was living in the normal world and deemed them worthy of her companionhood despite how annoying she found them(especially Jason)and they helped her out with her emotions and better translating her mannerisms and technically turned into a goddess permanently(and willingly)and Kyle had a lot of crazy ass Lanterns shit happen that had him be forced by his mentors to take a breather and he choose a crosscountry roadtrip and he met his teammates by almost running Eddie over because he was trying to eat freshly made ramen and it got in his eyes.He a bit of morals trip with his new friends and old ex boygirlfriend he's still mutually flirty with sometimes to say the least(and ends the run a White Lantern).There's heavy featuring of his parents and past in this because hooooooo boy,he is a character of all time!!

Duke is the 5th Robin because of Summer's involvement and he got a year in pretty good but then him and Bruce nearly broke apart over a fight and he got so scared of being fired as Robin because of being only a 12 year old technical orphan(jokerized parents)he followed Summer's footsteps by ditching Gotham and that was how he meet Jason,who introduced himself as his true identity to him because of Summer's positive talk of him and accepted Duke's ask for shelter and so Duke was now an Outlaw.He wasn't forced to kill but he did become pretty harsh in fights and this caused him angst only for a bit as he was reassured by the older members.Duke says to Jason in issue 110 '.....I was never a real Robin.I've been with you guys way longer than i ever was with Bruce-' and Jason cuts him off with 'Yeah,no shit you were never Batman's Robin.You're The Outlaws' Robin-You're my Robin and you always have been and you always will be' and Duke breaks down so Jason comforts him and that's when Summer walks in with their Dairy Super and Batburger double flight orders and asks what happened but helps before either even get to explain with Duke thanking him for being the reason he got to take the first step to heroism to which he gets platonically bubbly and flattered and tells him he's the perfect Robin and Duke does a toothy happy grin that takes up most of the last panel in that issue

Duke is also a reality warper because of Gnomon so he stopped the N52 from existing in his Robin run🙏🏼Duke is our god,please praise him

Imani gets hired because of her reputation as a leathily effecient spy and she fits right in,crying herself to sleep a few times after they'd been together long enough to call eachother family.She's a gremlin from the start and influences Mathew to be the same and she's close to everybody but Summer and her are interdimensional sisters soulmates a la Percy Jackson and Hazel Levesque and he was the first one to break down her walls and they go out of their way to defend the other nonstop and this helps Summer's eldest daughter syndrome trauma.Catblooded/Vimani starts in a remastered Gotham War which is about them and The Watchers and lest to say they're perfect together and Jason,Kyle,Mathew,Lilith and Jennifer NEVER let them live it down.Lilith's intro is a parody of Batman 357-Instead of stealing his tires,she hacked Jason's computer to leak his old Undertale chats and he begged her to join in humiliating ways only for it to be revealed she only did it for fun and came to join because Summer and him were close friends in their teen years but got seperated due to Hell bussiness.She made sure to take pictures 'to send to Summie of his cringelord ass hubbie'.None of these words are denied by anyone at all

At the same time this was happening,Artemis,Azriel,Thad,Pepper and Duke were on a mission and Artemis was almost fatally wounded but Daisy came in as her angel with healing oitments made with her chlorokinesis and Artemis saw her with a glowing pink halo around her head,too enchanted by her to care about almost dying.Daisy was a duo with Lilith and had the same reasoning as her for being there but they got seperated thanks to a villain attack and they're the team hacker and team medic.They picked Venus up at a party she was DJ'ing and she started as only an ally but joined them officially in a parallel to Teen Titans 2003!Tara Markov after an angst arc and it actually took her and Kyle a hot sec to get officially together due thinking their attraction was purely physical and her and Pepper did a toon girlypop squee sequence after she got the official Outlaw title as Star Sapphire solidarity.Mathew kept getting told by Gotham City-The sentient city itself-he needed to leave for now since Jennifer was missing so he gave in and he was welcomed with open arms,platonic kisses,food and appropriate training

But in a mini arc called 'Batboy's Breakout' the adult Outlaws go on mission without him despite him being the eldest and it makes him feel not good enough after the buildup of not being able to protect the other kids a few times before so when he hears of a breakout at Blackgate at bedtime,he sneaks out,stops it and kills Penguin(his birth parents' murderer)and stops an Arkham breakout too and then goes solo after leaving a note at the Fortress.They're super upset but almost all of them trust him to take care of himself with Summer as the exception thanks to how maternal he is and how he was the only one other than Kahali who was really close to him pre-Rhato.Mathew is a solo hero for roughly half a year and defeats Slade during his run before he comes back to The Outlaws and tackled in the world's biggest group hug and showered in words of love and reminisced sadness and he's misty eyed touched because he missed them too after the resentment wore off.His new hero name is 'Bladebat' for his magic sword he crafted himself while on the run

Jennifer was missing because she'd been given Lian's teleported across time and space multiple times storyline due to an accident that happened while on a quest for Solana Banks to restore her lost home dimension Helioas because she thought she'd found an articifact that would but misenterpreted it's powers.Lucky for her,her journey only lasted 1 year instead of multiple and she found her way back to Mathew's spot-Her safe spot.She wasn't ready to live normally again just yet so she stayed in the Fortress and became an official member as a result under 'Batika'.And to complete our family,Azriel had the easiest and most simplistic one-Lilith asked Jason to let her join them because of how strong she is and not having many friends so he accepted and she's actually the goriest of the Outlaws beating even Thee Red Hood in it and this is part of her demonic nature and carries no secret undertones to it.Like Flowergrace,Thadzriel was love at first newbie sight and they have such a sweet middle school dating dynamic

Luna appears in a significant amount of issues but since she's Aquafam she sticks to her own territory most of the time and her and Duke are purely platonic with love not blooming until Duke becomes The Signal and leads a new team he made called The Lights with Luna joining as 'Moonguide' and they have a slowburn that spans until their adults years as Eris(Duke)and Selene(Luna)

Jaysumm's dynamic is childhood best friends and sidekick partners > Enemies only in the technical sense > Best friends again but Jason flirting with Summer constantly and Summer not buying Jason isn't joking because of their history together > Being insuferably obviously in love and Summer's literally the ONLY one who dosen't know > Fwb who act like a couple already with Jason still only knowing it on his side and angst for him as a result > Sneaking off to take Jon off trick or treating in opposite costumes(fairy and werewolf)and Summer's epiphany finally happens so he confesses when they make it home and Jason confesses back so they make out > Official couple when exactly 11 issues remaining in a 120 part series LMFAO

🎶They don't give a damn about their reputation🎶 < Had to make that joke,mb kings.But yeah they generally don't care about perception from normies and ARE here to unteach propaganda as they fuck around and make people find out the systems are fucked.It's very embarrasing for certain superheroes that the eco-terrorists without the no kill code are better parents to their kids than they are to theirs and their legacy stays even post quasi-disbanment(They keep in contact forever ofc,it's just the plot needed them elsewheres and there's common reunions and video calls)

Culturally fused team,both race and species.Afrolatino and brown latino,kryptonian and amazonian,speedster abonimation and macabita demon,human and meta and so forth.Subculture fused too as they frequently participate in eachother's aesthetics and interests and they're all multilingual.Clashes between them occasionally but never too bad

The genre is like.Superhero comedy but also horror but also fantasy but also sci-fi but also urban fantasy but also surrealism but also romance drama but also psychological thriller????????It's the Homestuck of DC,everything ever happens in Red Hood and The Outlaws 2010-2020.This includes the catgirls and the hyperspecific lore and the weird ass art that's somehow good and the-

The covers always fuck NO exceptions,Summer does meta commentary telling fans to not buy their merch officially and to instead get it secondhand or they'll be dissapointing him but Pepper full on breaks the fourth wall,it has it's own official opening on the official DCAU channel and a few shorts and this includes a pride video like the Bubbline one by Cartoon Network and it stars Jaysumm,Pepper is the most well-known and beloved trans DC character,they're SUPER popular in in Latin America and with latino-americans,it has multiple lego sets and The Outlaws Girls even got their own doll line and they have crossover mini series with Young Justice that's 24 issues and called 'Just Us,No Laws'
