Not opposed to the idea of Deceptibee, but I feel like it's not angsty enough, so let's make it worse.

Bee leaves with Megatron when he and the highguard are banished, and things are OK for a while. Bee is still a bit of a bumbling mess (pun intended), but the decepticons can't really do anything about it because he's with Megatron.

Megs is getting stressed though. Leadership is tough, a lot is expected of him, and he needs to be a lot more mature, which doesn't work so well with Bee fucking about next to him all the time. Megs starts to feel that Bee is just like Optimus; reckless, accident prone...weak.

He's growing more and more bitter as time passes, and Bee goes from being a friend, to being a reminder.

Its not too long after that when Bee messes up again, says something he shouldnt have, and Megatron is out of patience. He's done saving Bee too.

When the autobots find Bee, he's in shock. Eyes wide and absent, sat in the middle of an abandoned base with energon oozing from his throat. They take him back home, and he doesn't say a word.

Not that he could if he wanted to.

Starscream will admit, only to himself, that he was having fun fighting bumblebee. The little bot was as silent as ever but Starscream didn’t mind.

Bumblebee was acting odd though, he kept reaching for Starscream’s neck, moves getting more aggressive with every fail, He had a feeling as to why the scout was doing that.

If a mating fight breaks out between two Aerialbots and one of them manages to snap a collar on the other, they become sparkmates for life. So It was quite obvious to Starscream what bumblebee was trying to do, the scout did his research well.

What he wanted to know was…why? Starscream knew he wasn’t the most desirable mate, he was loud and annoying and unlovable and hideous by grounders standards. A traitorous coward despite all he did as a highguard, why would bumblebee ever want someone like him?

Starscream was so distracted he didn’t even notice bumblebee running at him until he was tackled to the ground and a clicking sound was heard, he cursed under his breath for his mistake but didn’t buck the scout off of him, he had been successfully collared after all.

Bumblebee leaned forward, masked face plate coming extremely close to him, before the mask went up and bee’s scarred dermas stretched into a smile, blue optics shining down on him.

Starscream sighed, he waited for his new mate to get up, taking the offered Servo in his own. Looks like he was an Autobot now, Megatron won’t be very happy to lose his second-in-command.

Starscream watched all the decepticons retreat, standing beside bumblebee.

Megatron snarled at him from where he was standing, red optics glaring daggers into him. “You useless bastard, what are you doing?!” The autobots looked between the two, stunned when Starscream stepped behind their scout.

“I am sorry Lord Megatron but I am not a decepticon anymore, Aerialbot culture and all” he said and tapped the collar around his neck, watching as realization came over the tyrant. Soundwave and shockwave dragged Megatron away.

An autobot turned to him, he thinks her name is Chromia, eyeing him cautiously. “So, what was that about? Why change sides all of the sudden”

Starscream cocked his hips to the side, crossing his arms. “My culture is very different from grounders, your scout won against me fair and square” that was all he said, his words confused everyone because they’ve all won against him before but he’s never done anything like this.

Bumblebee took Starscream by the arm and led him away from everyone, an air of excitement and joy surrounding him. Starscream wondered how this would turn out, how him being mated with an autobot would change anything in this war, only time will tell honestly.

This one requires a bit more mental gymnastics to fit but just picture Starscream thinking like 'okay we're exiled again which sucks but we will have our revenge and this kid is the perfect figurehead for our new revolution, with me pulling the strings ofc'

Hey, I just saw TF one a second time. This time with my dad, it's still great, and I think I liked it even better the second time. Here's some stuff under read more I noticed/made note of the second time around! Under read more for obvious spoilers since I'm talking about specific scenes.

Zeta prime has conjured axe just like Optimus's. You can see it before sentinel kills zeta prime. It's more blue than Optimus's yellow.

D-16 actually doesn't believe that Sentinel would betray them after alpha tritons vision dust. He denies it still. It's only after seeing it in the present that when Sentinel gives the quintessons their energon does he finally accept it. Makes me think when D-16 says that Iacon doesn't want to believe them and they'll need to kill Sentinel it's because D-16 didn't believe it either and only did after seeing it himself.

The pause that over takes everyone when D-16's arm canon pops out is kinda funny. "Oh that's a gun gun." Realization sets in, in real time.

You can actually see the exact moment when D-16's eyes turn orange! Orion can, too. In the highguard base after D-16 rallies, the high guard to attack sentinel. And the bloodthirsty crowd is separating the two of them. There's a slow shot when Orion looks at D-16's face and his eyes tint to orange right there.

I find the "no more false prophets!" From Megatron funny since Primus literally spits Optimus out in a ball of fire from its core like "Okay bitch have a real one then."

When Optimus banishes Megatron, Megatron's eyes actually noticeably dim out, and an expression of, disbelief? Hurt? Manages to slip through before the rage over takes his face again. And his eyes light back up to the normal bright red. God, megop shippers, how we feeling???

Anyway, this movie is good, and my dad even loved it. Tell anyone you can it was good and to go see it so it can be a success and we get more animated transformers stuff. Hopefully, it breaks 100k so it's successful at the least. It's only at 40k rn.

New Leader, New Voice, Old Trine

Summary: Just a little drabble on what happened to Starscream and his messed up voice box after being banished to the surface along with Megatron. Part two of my post Transformers One fics.

‘There, I’ve done all I can.’ Shockwave leaned back. ‘At least with the limited supplies I have access to.’ Starscream, not paying much attention, tentatively placed a hand over his voice box. Before he could attempt to speak though Megatron entered with Soundwave close behind. No not Megatron, Lord Megatron. Starscream couldn’t help but sneer at that. Who just gave themselves a title like that.

‘Are you finished with him?’ Megatron asked.

‘I am my lord.’ Shockwave bowed to the younger bot. Kiss aft.

‘And how are you feeling Starscream?’ His words suggested concern, maybe even remorse for what he’d done. But Starscream could see none in his face. For a moment Starscream said nothing. Partially because he wanted to be defiant, even if it was just for a moment. But it was also partially because he was nervous. Then he spoke.

‘I’m fine.’ he winced at the sound. It wasn’t as bad as it had been before Shockwave had started working on him. But it still sounded embarrassingly shrieky.

‘Good, because I have a job for you. A little scouting mission actually.’ Starscream blinked. A scouting mission? On his own? Was Megatron really trusting him so soon after usurping him? He wasn’t sure if he was a fool, or if he did actually feel a little sorry and was trying to make it up. Nor did he care. An opportunity was an opportunity.

‘Of course my lord.’ The word left a bad taste in his mouth. ‘But may I request I bring help. After all there is safety in numbers.’ Megatron frowned and looked as though he was about to speak, but Starscream quickly jumped in to add. ‘I’m not talking about a large number of course. Just my trine-mates will do.’

‘It may be for the best. We’ve already had sightings of the enemy on the surface.’ Soundwave spoke up. For a moment Megatron said nothing, but simply stood there frowning thoughtfully.

‘Very well. Go and fetch them, then return here. And don’t keep me waiting’ Starscream gave a bow so low and exaggerated it was almost mocking before turning to leave. Oh how he would love to put his own hands on that little lord’s own voice box. See how he likes it. Still he had to admit he had made progress. After all, he'd managed to put an end to Sentinel. So for now he would play the loyal soldier. He would make a place for himself beside their new leader, and he would watch and wait, he could be a patient mech when it mattered. As long as they made progress he could settle for second in command. But as soon as he messed up Starscream would be ready. *** He scanned the crowd for any signs of his trine mates. That was the one thing he took comfort in. Megatron could take his place as leader of the highguard. Or the Decepticons as they were now called. But his position as trine leader was something he had now power over. He eventually spotted Skywarp arm wrestling with Slipstream. He approached and stood behind Slipstream so he was directly in Skywarps line of sight.

‘Oh hey Screamer.’ Skywarp barely glanced in his direction. ‘You here to watch or do you want something?’ It was only then Starscream realised he’d have to speak in that ridiculous voice in front of pretty much their whole army. Still it couldn’t be helped.

‘Lord Megatron has a job for us.’ As he spoke it seemed everyone who had been watching the match turned to stare at him. He could even feel the optics of those behind him. In his shock Skywarp ended up letting go of Slipstreams hand.

‘Oh Primus, is that really what you sound like now.’ he laughed.

‘Shut up.’ Starscream hissed louder than he meant to. It seemed his volume control had also been damaged. He’d have to be careful about that. ‘And tell me where Thundercracker is.’

‘TC? He’s outside. Enjoying the view.’ Starscream rolled his optics. Both at Skywarp’s insistence of using nicknames, and at the mention of Thundercrackers whereabouts. Of course he should have guessed.

‘Well get your aft to the lab. And tell them we’ll be along shortly.

*** Thundercracker was, as Starscream had expected, standing beside an energon river. Something they had not seen for so long it was such a bitter-sweet sight. Starscream sometimes couldn’t bear to look at it. Thundercracker, it seemed, had no such issues. Without a word he stood beside him. For a moment neither spoke then Thundercracker said.

‘He wants to speak to us, doesn’t he?’ Starscream nodded.

‘He does. Something about a scouting mission. Skywarp already knows’ He saw Thundercrackers head jerk at the sound of his voice. But he said nothing. Starscream to his own surprise was grateful for that. Neither of his trine mates were the smartest around. But Thundercracker at least had a social intelligence Skywarp severely lacked. Even Starscream found himself falling short in places, not that he’d ever admit it out loud. But the other seeker seemed to be able to read others in ways he never could. Which was probably why he found himself asking,

‘So what do you make of our new leader?’

‘Well, he killed Sentinel. Which was more than you ever managed to do.’ Starscream would have shoved him into the river, or at least insulted him right there and then, if he hadn’t suspected there was more.

‘But…’

‘But he’s young.’ Thundercracker turned to look at Starscream. ‘He has no experience of being a leader, let alone leading an army. It seems he’s spent his whole life being a follower. And now he wants us to go to war with himself in charge.’ he sighed before adding. ‘If I’m to be completely honest, between you and me, I fear he’s a child playing at war.’ Starscream nodded.

‘That is my concern as well. Still child or not he’s our leader now, and we’d best not keep him waiting.’

‘Especially if Skywarp is there making a fool of himself again.’

‘Of course, I never miss an opportunity to watch Skywarp make a fool of himself.’ Starscream half joked, earning him a scowl from Thundercracker.

"Even so far from home, the skies remain the same," the Gerudo King says. He takes another step forward stopping beside the boulder Link is sitting on, eyes turning to him. His eyes almost seem to shine in the dark, too bright. "Having second thoughts?"

Only one more day until they move on Morrlow. It's the last moment to turn back. 

Link's silence is thoughtful. "No," he finally replies. 

The Gerudo King makes a low noise, amused. He leans against the boulder, resting his side against it. "Of course not," he says. "You've never hesitated for a single moment, have you?" He studies Link, gaze bright. "Tell me. How does one get to your point? Turned against your own people, every single one of whom would take your for a traitor - yet you're fighting harder than anyone to keep them alive."

Link looks at him, then looks away, hand clenching. He looks up at the moon, the pressure in his chest too tight. "You see too many people die," he says. Even now, all he has to do is close his eyes and he can see them again - the bodies lining Highguard's streets, the dead knights cut down on Rallru's battlements, the bodies littering Morrlow's square. Commander Nabooru's pale, empty eyes, the guttural noise of the Gerudo weeping as they clutched her body. 

The Gerudo King studies him, thoughtful. "Tender-hearted," he says. It's not mocking, his tone too soft for that. "People like you are always the first to die in war."

Link shakes his head. "I've killed," he says. His stone hand turns, and Link studies it, the way the moonlight plays over the ridges of stone. His fingers curl, closing. "I'll probably have to kill again, but-"

"But?"

Link breathes out. "I'm so tired," he says. His voice is too open, too honest, raw exhaustion in his tone. "I'm so tired of the killing, of the fighting. I want it to end."

I need it to end. 

A terrified, despairing part of himself wonders how many more times he'll have to do this again - how many more times he'll have to start from scratch, waking up in that forest. Wonders what the grief will feel like after the tenth time, the twentieth, growing in him like a cancer until the agony is paralysing, until he can't meet the eyes of a single person without remembering what they look like dead.

Link is so, so tired of people dying. 

He feels the Gerudo King's eyes on him, sharp and thoughtful. There's an intensity to his gaze, a pressure, the world seeming to focus when the Gerudo King's eyes are on him, going needle-sharp. The Gerudo King looks away, staring out into the dark. "What is your home like, Link?" 

Link glances up at him, studying him for a long moment. He looks out over the plains, over the shadowed outcroppings of rock, the swaying sea of grass and the vault of the heavens. "You've been there," Link replies. "The great forest. It's- Valleys and trees, mist. Birds. There are animals everywhere, moving in the dark. You can follow their tracks for miles, sometimes, leading up into the mountains. It feels like you could keep walking forever and it would never end."

The Gerudo King shoots him a curious glance. "A village?"

Link shakes his head. "Just the forest." All his life, it's just been that - the forest. Link can't remember a time before it. He knows there must have been one, but its so distant. From his earliest memories, it was always just him and the forest, even as a child.
