I still think I was onto something when I said that Kim's fixation on the revolutionary air brigades felt kind of like a kid with glasses really wanting to be a firefighter and then learning that you can't be a firefighter if you don't have natural 20/20 visiom because the heat would melt plastic or cause burns from metal frames and contacts weren't a safe choice either. So basically the vibe I've been getting from this season is that they've been writing 1.5 hour episodes and then trimming away all the non-essential good stuff.

I have nothing to back this up with except that it would explain the weird continuity errors that seem to happen because of cuts in scenes in the edit, the lack of the little moments and heart to hearts that make the 911 world feel lived in and interconnected, and the fact that we keep getting mentions of things in interviews that never actually make it to the screen. Oh, and the pacing being all over the place.

Well, this is a first. We got a twister. My family and house and cats and I are all fine, we're just out of power and have some tree branches all over the place. Some other folks in town have had some more serious damage, though. Power's out all over the place, the Taco Bell sign was destroyed, and one traffic light got completely knocked off its line. I got home from work with dinner just as the storm was hitting, and it blew around our house while we were eating.
