Coven Hierchies
“Two is a working couple, Three is a Triad, Seven to thirteen is a Coven.”
Most claim it has thirteen with One leader and Twelve followers as a crude parody of Christs followers, with the leader as the devil [hah!]
There are different degrees, and a lot about Coven Leadership and Elders.
First, Second and Third Degree.
It is the progress of how far a person has progressed in their craft, first degrees are initiated and usually they stay in that position. Second Degree is like a supervisor role and Third degree is the Manager.
By the way I state, the one who is higher in the role does the most work and is more experienced, had honed their craft longer. Once someone becomes a Third Degree they can begin conducting their own Covens, rituals, etc.
Second Degrees Initiate others, it is like the journeyman role in the guild system. And now the person can train others and is more confident in a ritual. They may have also developed a specialist such as healing or divination or herbs.
Others regard this as the Apprenticeship System in mediaeval guilds [Apprenticeship, Journeyman, Master] or my modern take [Team Member, Supervisor, Manager]
Other Roles within the Coven include the High Priestix, High Priest, High Priestess. The Leader of the Coven is the first among equals, they are there to ensure that everything runs smoothly, facilitate the ritual, run the training, and may delegate these tasks to others.
Another role is the coven Fetch [also known as the Summoner or the Man in Black]
It’s Generally their role to summon everyone to the ritual. These days that involves managing the Coven social Media group, website, and Google Calender. The Fetch can be of any Gender.
The Freemasons have a role called a Tyler who guards the door to prevent non-initiates gaining entry. The word is probably derived from the french word Tailleur, one who cuts out.
Another very important role is that of the Maiden, who sets up the Temple and passes things to the High Priestess during cakes and Winde. The Maiden can also be a person of any gender. Priestess, Decadent, Neophyte.
[Pretty sure I had a source...then I lost it ^^; or my source was Reddit]

Having thoughts about the League of Assassins. It’s pretty common among them to form hierchy/ranking around who’s a better fighter and who beat/killed who. I can’t remember if it’s canon but I like the idea that to prove your teacher has taught you all they have to teach you must kill them (not sure how that applies to history/math/whatever but. Moving on.) Working off of that idea, a lot of assassins in the organisation would already respect Tim for causing the death/defeat of the Council of Spiders; assassins that are so skilled they kill other assassins for fun. Him then TRICKING RA’S AL GHUL AND BLOWING UP (almost??) ALL OF HIS BASES, AND THEN OUTSMARTING HIM AGAIN WHEN HE TRIES TO DESTROY EVERYTHING BATMAN HAS BUILT, I feel like it’s reasonable to assume a lot of them would’ve decided Tim is the bigger threat or at least proved himself very formidable and a large threat. I imagine a lot of them would’ve sought him out in Gotham and pledged loyalty to him (kind of like Minions seeking out the evilest leader thanks for that thought brain), maybe doing full on traditional rituals to prove the transferring of their loyalty, like blood oaths or ritual spars idk, maybe giving him gifts or displaying their skills so he accepts them as allies rather than being disrespected and killing or maiming them since that’s the standard they expect in the League.
And Tim is uh. Very confused. Very surprised. And also trying hard not to show it. He accepts all the gifts and pledges and shit, because he sure as fuck ain’t gonna turn them back to Ra’s, but after that he doesn’t really know what to do with them. He hires a bunch of them at Wayne Enterprise and Drake Industries, tasks a bunch of them with working for Red Hood on the down low, maybe sends a couple on undercover missions to Arkham Asylum so they start treating inmates as actual human beings and stop using shock therapy or something, and makes sure to write them all up fair contracts and great pay with good work bonuses and plenty of leave, and makes sure most or all of them start going to therapy. The assassins love their new leader and would do practically anything for him.
But anyway, all that aside. I’ve had those thoughts in my head for more than a month. Something that just recently occurred to me is Mara al Ghul. Damian’s cousin. Another child raised by the League of Assassins, only this one never left.
Until, that is, she watches this freshly-immunocompromised vigilante arguably outsmart her grandfather twice, and decides he is the bigger threat, actually, I want to be on his good side when he takes over the world.
So now Tim is being forced into basically adopting this feral child, who’s only experience in American society was undercover missions to kill people, who thinks decapitated heads are reasonable gifts, who’s introduction to Tim was something batshit insane like dumping the Joker’s head in his lap because the Joker is Gotham’s most dangerous rogue and of course Tim will appreciate having him gone. But even with a well crafted facade she can tell Tim is unnerved and horrified, so she must be doing something wrong. Maybe it was because the Joker is Batman’s enemy and not Tim’s specifically? But Tim doesn’t have any arch nemesis aside from maybe Ra’s who she obviously can’t kill, so she does more research into Tim’s life and background and finds out Captain Boomerang killed his father so next she brings Tim HIS head and she can already tell he’s much more pleased this time. But there’s still that edge of unsettlement and wariness, and he’s acting so strange around her, so she digs deeper and finds out about the Titans Tower incident but Tim sent all these other assassins to work for red hood so they must be on good terms, and then she finds out about all the bad blood between him and Damian and Dick so she starts trying to kill them next, starting with Damian obviously (a mix of jealousy over him leaving the league and a good amount of cousin rivalry/cain instinct), but Tim stops the fight and tells her to stand down and now she’s scared that he’s going to punish her and Ra’s’ punishments were always so harsh and perhaps this time she can’t quite fight down the urge to hide.
Meanwhile, Tim is being dragged through a parent arc kicking and screaming, the bats are wondering why the hell there are suddenly so many assassins only after they scare off Ra’s, Jason is more or less vibing because he thinks the assassins are from Talia and the Joker’s dead so of course he’s ecstatic (even tho he wishes he knew who did it so he can thank them), Dick and Damian are still reeling from learning Bruce is alive/getting him back from the time stream when all of a sudden this masked child comes out of nowhere mid patrol and attacks Damian, and isn’t backing down even though Dick arrived quickly but when Red Robin arrives and yells stop she’s already three rooftops away by the time he’s done speaking. Everyone is tired and doesn’t know what the hell is going on except mayybe Oracle.

Ruben Dias x Reader - Top Spies Part 1/8
Ruben and Reader are super spies, who have to pretend to be a married couple on vacation as a co-signed mission. A enemies to lovers fic, very sweet and funny!
Enjoy!
"Listen up team. We have a big one!"
Captain Harlow order everyone to join him in the meeting lounge. It was more of a den, with black leather couches and dimmed lighting. You were the last one in, leaving you stand as there was nowhere left for you to sit.
"What's up captain?" Asked a man. He was an agent like you.
"Drugs Franklin, that's what's up." Captain tossed a bundle of files on the coffee table before them. "Alejandro Martinez, Portugals most infamous druglord. Last year he managed to import nearly 700 kilos of cocaine into the country."
"How?" The team of agents questioned in unison.
Captain shrugged. "That's for you to find out. Is he using drug mules, an underground railroad..."
"A submarine...." Another agent muttered. His name was Ruben. Although his remark was followed by laughter, knowing Ruben, he probably meant what he said. He always seemed so serious, never cracking jokes intentionally.
"All we know for sure..." Captain put an end to the chuckles. "...is that we can't have a warrant for his arrest without this information."
Like your fellow agents your brows were furrowed with your mind in deep thought. Importing 700 kilos of cocaine into a country was highly impressive, but also impossible to do, at least in one go.
"Dias, Y/N!"
You raised your head with the calling of your name, so did Ruben.
"My office, now!"
You left the meeting lounge, follwing Captain Harlow towards his office. A giant shadow was casted after you as Ruben walked slowly behind.
"Please have a seat." The captain said, shutting his office door, gesturing for you and Ruben to take the seats before his desk.
"All agents will be on this case in some type of way, but I'm going to need you two to go undercover for this one."
"Understood." Ruben nodded.
"For how long?" You questioned.
"A month, but depending on the progress of the case the period might be longer or shorter."
You nodded.
"Glad you're all aboard. It will be demanding but I see you two as the perfect fit for this job."
"What's the mission Cap?" Ruben said, leaning forward in his chair.
"I need you two to pose as husband and wife on a exclusive vacation to Madeira."
"What?" You and Ruben exclaimed. It was the first time he turned to look at you today. Although it was a brief look, a displeased look.
"You can't be serious Captain? I thought you were assigning us solo missions?" He protested.
"Well I'm not. From now on you'll be Mr and Mrs Moreno, a knewly wed couple enjoying a month at Resort de la Martinez. Alejandro Martinez owns a private vacation resort on the Island. We suspect that some of his illegal shipping trades happens there. The resort is a great way for him to keep an eye on his operations. Which is now your jobs."
"To keep an eye on the merchendis?" You said, eager to get on with the the mission. Ruben however looked to have a headache coming on, impulsively rubbing the side of his scalp.
"Exactly. Any suspicious activity you see reports back to me. Enjoy the mission agents."
"This is unbelievable."
You followed Ruben with quick steps as he stormed out of Captain Harlows office. You followed him all the way back to his desk.
"Well, you better believe it." You said. "Captain has us on a plane to Madeira tonight. "
Ruben turned to look at you, arms crossed before him. "What's your name again Rose?"
You rolled your eyes "It's Y/N."
"Right, Y/N. Look, I know you're new here and all, but you must know that I don't do co-signed missions."
"Oh, I know." You snorted. It had only gone three months since you switch agencies, however it didn't take you to long to figure out the hierchy around here. For example, Ruben was considered to be one of the top agents. You, as a woman and a newbie, considered to be at the bottom.
"There is a first for everything, Ruben." You said.
His eyes widen in surprise. He took a good look at you, considering that it was the first time that he actually looked at you twice.
"Anything else you wish for me to know about you?" You asked.
Ruben grunted in response, turning his back on you to sort out the many files on his desk.
You shook your head, returning to your own desk.
It was going to be a long month.

Tzivos Hashem
One of the best ways cults and other high-control groups exert their control is through their control of the children in their group, and Chabad is no different.
Tzivos Hashem, Hebrew for "Army of God", is an organization within Chabad aimed at children's programming and education. It was founded in 1980, under the orders of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson. True to its name, it had a military aesthetic from the very beginning, with meetings referred to as "rallies" and children issued military style uniforms.
Children's pamphlets were distributed with the goal of educating Jewish children around the world, and children were encouraged to memorize the "Twelve Pasukim"- twelve passages selected by Rabbi Schneerson that he considered important in Jewish education. Often, these pamphlets employed military aesthetics, such as the iconic illustration above by Norman Nodel, which depicts a boy and a girl dressed in military uniforms carring banners reading "We want Moshiach now!"
As a child, I was most involved with Tzivos Hashem in the 2000s, after the death of Rabbi Schneerson. My elementary school enrolled each student in the Chayolei Tzivos Hashem program, and as part of the program, we were given weekly "missions" to complete in order to earn medals and rise up in the ranks. Students with higher ranks were given special privileges, and while no student was explicitly punished for not completing their missions, there was a distinct social hierchy that emerged and a fierce competition among us students. Unfortunately, the Chayolei Tzivos Hashem website is only accessable to account holders, but here is their description in their own words:
Drawing on years of experience reaching out to less affiliated Jewish Children, Tzivos Hashem turned its attention to providing inspiring programing and activities for children within the religious community. Chayolei Tzivos Hashem has been designed to give children a sense of pride and belonging, an appreciation for what they do and inspire them to want to do more. Since its inception, CTH has captured hearts and minds of children worldwide. Children feel empowered and special to be entrusted with the Rebbe’s mission to bring Moshiach. As a uniquely tailored program, each child is able to climb the levels and ladders of the Army of Hashem according to their capabilities, giving them confidence and encouragement as they grow at their own pace. At monthly international webcast rallies, recognition and honor is given to students who have gone up in rank. Participating schools also have custom made mission sheets that help students advance in Hashem’s Army. As children complete missions, they earn medals to be placed in their rank books and work themselves up towards a promotion, for all missions, global, local in full or in part, students can earn “mileage points”. They can scan mileage into their personal CTH account using specially designed and programmed kiosks. CTH hosts monthly HQ global raffles where children who have completed missions can have a chance to earn prizes. There is also an online prize store where children can use their points. Piloted in 50 Lubavitch schools, Chayolei Tzivos Hashem’s goal is to continue to develop the program in Hebrew Schools and camps for children of all backgrounds across the world. The program is sponsored in part by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky of Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Shaya Smetana of Anash.com
When I was in school, most of this wasn't digital, as I was part of CTH in the 2000s, in its infancy.
But, Chayolei Tzivos Hashem is just a branch of Tzivos Hashem. It's intended specifically for children already deeply immersed within Chabad, and it's a tool used to ensure compliance within Chabad's community norms. Some of the "missions" were simple tasks associated with Jewish observance, such as praying every morning, saying the Shema prayer before bed, etc, while others involved Chabad specific tasks, such as memorizing certain portions of Tanya (one of the theological texts of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the first Rebbe of the Chabad-Leubavitch movement) and reaching out to a set quota of strangers as part of Mivzoim.
Some vocabulary: Mivzoim (not to be confused with "Mitzvot") refers to the outreach missions enacted by the Chabad Rebbe. If you get stopped by a Chabad person in the street asking you if you are Jewish and would like to put on Tefillin or do some other Mitzvah, then you've interacted with a Chabad person completing Mivzoim.
While Chayolei Tzivos Hashem leans the most heavily on the military aesthetic, Tzivos Hashem as a whole embraces it full-heartedly, and predates CTH, which was only founded in the 2000s.
If you go onto the Tzivos Hashem website and try to register a child, you will be greeted with this message, for example:
While it's not, of course, an army of violence, the use of military terminology is something used time and time again within Tzivos Hashem.
One popular song that is sung at Tzivos Hashem rallies and in schools goes as follows:
From 770* we're marching out On to victory, without a doubt To corners four, we're marching happily Nation after nation we are conquering! Shluchei Adoneinu**, we'll bring Moshiach Tzidkeinu*** Tomorrow will be Galus**** no more And we'll win this Galus war!
Notes: *770 refers to 770 Eastern Parkway, the International Headquarters of Chabad Leubavitch. **Translates to "emissaries of our master". ***Translates to "Messiah our righteous one". ****translates to "exile".
I'm not even going to touch so much on the near deification of Rabbi Schneerson in this post, I only want to focus on Tzivos Hashem here, and how it primes children into obediance. Even families that aren't necessarily as "crazy" about Chabad as others are still encouraged through social pressure to enroll their children in Tzivos Hashem.
Why the military aesthetic?
Well. It is my firm belief that it because it is grooming children into being good, obedient followers of Chabad. For Shluchim especially (not all Chabadnikim are Shluchim) there is a high expectation of obedience. Shluchim, which are emissary families of Chabad (they're the ones who run Chabad houses and the like), are expected to follow whatever order the governing body of Chabad-Leubavitch International gives them. Every year, there is an international conference of Shluchim, one for the men, one for the women, and, up until around the Covid-19 pandemic, one for families. Shluchim, much like actual soldiers, are expected to pack up and move to wherever they are ordered to move to and establish a Chabad house or go and support and existing one. Except, it would be like if American soldiers were being told that their orders were coming from George Washington himself, since Rabbi Schneerson has been deceased since the 1990s.
So, back to the kids.
You may say to yourself, after seeing perhaps videos of Tzivos Hashem children, or maybe even encountering them yourselves, that they seem to be enjoying it. After all, kids do love playing dress-up and being given little tasks to do with rewards. And that's true- as a kid, I felt special whenever I earned a medal, and I liked getting to refer to myself as "Sergeant". It felt awfully grown up and important.
But there's a difference between a child having a chore chart in their own home or a class having a jar of beans leading up to a pizza party at the end of the year- and between children being pit against hundreds of children around the world. HaChoyel, the weekly Tzivos Hashem magazine, publishes all the names of children who recently ranked into officer positions.
Additionally, this kind of social stratefication at such a young age has the potential to let kids who don't meet the right standards to fall through the cracks, and a culture that already demands obedience of childrens leaves them wide open to abuse. I should know- it happened to me. While Chabad as a whole cannot be blamed for the actions of one disturbed adult in a position of power- I doubt that I would have been so vulnerable to his manipulations had I not felt so inadequate due to my inability to live up to the expectations placed upon me by Tzivos Hashem.
Not to mention, the fetishization of the military aesthetic within Tzivos Hashem only furthers the normalization of militarism and war. For all Chabad talks about wanting to bring about Mashiach and ultimate peace, the movement itself is so deeply entrenched in military emulation. It's no surprise, then, that Chabad as a whole has embraced firearms and community-based militia more so in relation to other Orthodox groups (but that's an entirely different deep dive). And while Chabad hasn't engaged in outright organized (unorganized violence such as riots, on the other hand, is something Chabad isn't a stranger to) violence yet, a high-control organization having such a military lean, certainly within their children's education, sets a dangerous precident, and if it doesn't lead to harm of outsiders yet, it certainly harms its members.

Also a little tidbit about Gortash being a Banite...:
((and dwelling into a scolding of Bane? + Very very sporatic tid bits of information. Tried to organise part a bit better with titles.))
Long text post, no tl;dr
You die like me(n)
First impressions; false information;
There's a good reason why Gortash seeks to have a temple to Bane made, with all the massacres a hundred or so years before wiping out most Banites or turned to Cyrics; Ixachtu Xvim or underground. So at this point whatever he has organised with the clergy is well.. most of it.
He doesn't strike me as that typical worshipper; not a wizard, not a cleric. I'd say he does follow the hierarchy and well; with the way he is followed around by other Banites, him being 'the chosen' would mean he's the current version of The High Imperceptor. Everyone would bow to him, kiss his feet, kneel etc. He'd have the remaining to be on his call.
Expeecctt that whole thing? BULLSHITE.
The temple to Bane was converted back to Bane worship a few decades later in the mid 14th century; and Bg 3 is set in the late of 15th.
After the Time of Troubles when Bane was ressurected he re-established his worship
So by then things are settled and Gortash's SIMPLY spreading it. Albeit/presumably without as much backing as in it's golden days. Riding on the new wave of 'cool to worship gods' (I don't presume to know trends. I guessed he is an emo hunk who'd love some edgy god who died and came back. Isn't it like just the choice you'd have made at 11 in an IKEA with a floating black stone on a cool stand?)
Scolding of Bane
Also Bane, tf you keep causing calamities. Chill dude. You died when you walked among your followers, come now, you thought now that you're vulnerable it would be best you fought other gods? Yeah, pretty characteristic if YOU HAD NO BRAINCELLS. I mean yes, you had the chance to take matters into your own hands and not let silly mortals fail and stumble. FiNe.
But I digress;
Gortash as a Banite;
he's the choosen, but is he the High Imperceptor? Well, no? Yes? No. He's far too busy with the Absolute to also tend to the Banites. He's definitely high ranking, maybe even above the Imperceptor(?), BUT not with the same responsibilities, he doesn't look like he does more than benefit from the clergy. He borrows manpower, sure; and maybe he aims to be eventually even more hence he wants to build a temple to Bane.
The hierchy has strict rules on how to treat those above you, he definitely likes that when it's directed at him, not him giving. Which begs the question: he had to be at the bottom of that ladder at some point. He had to do kneeling, bowing maaaaybe even a boot kiss or two.
That said; he maybe a worshipper, and a chosen, but is he a proper part of the church? Well yes, but do you consider a christian the same way part of the church as a priest at a temple?
He's saint level perhaps in those terms.
There was a trend among Bane worshippers: face tattoos. Sadly we didn't get that with him. Would have been cool, but alas, handsome mid 30's younger man is our to marvel at.
Bane comes to him in dreams to direct him and Durge; he commissions a painting of him and a bust according to how he came before him.
That said it would have been funny if someone painted/sculpted Bane during The time of troubles.
Gorty really was thinking of rebuilding the Black altar wasn't he?
Please feel free to correct me on lore. I would love to be wrong.

Rant!!!rant. Because I'm bored and wanna get this shit off my noggin.
I don't understand the whole Tiffany over Chucky thing and I never will, it's giving...misandry. bc they're literally almost the same person u dumdums 🙊
It's not Chucky > Tiffany or Tiffany < Chucky
It's Tiffany & Chucky 🤦♀️
Like yeh everyone's entitled to a fair opinion, so here's mine. But like..my god, if not for Chucky you wouldn't have Tiffany. Because technically she was only an idea that came out of the first 3 child's play films, an idea they turned into a character that played a pretty big role in the franchise, I will not disagree that Tiffany DID reinvent the franchise and gave it life again after the child's play Era, but my god. Some of you act like she's fucking God or something, her and Chucky are equally delusional, evil and fucked in the head.
Tiffany kills someone? What a girlboss.
Chucky kills someone? Yall cry as if the character was memorable.
Tiffany dismembers and keeps nica a captive? Eh whatever.
But I bet if Chucky did that to Nica rather than Tiffany, yall would still be babbling about it for being as bad as it is today.
So in order to keep this rant short I'll put it into terms that are understandable, and if you wanna bitch in my comments/reblogs make sure ya read the whole thing, biatch.
Tiffany? Delusional, evil, Controlling, Snarky and Mean.
Chucky? Delusional, evil, controlling, snarky and mean.
I said it was giving misandry earlier because Tiffany is near if not the exact person as chucky, and for SOME REASON she gets super-affection while Chucky gets thrown aside.
This is not to say I hate Tiffany or Jennifer Tilly. Because while I don't like Tiffany from 2017-now, I do really believe that she did revive the trilogy into a franchise, HOWEVER! That's not to say that it should be all about her either. I think the show does an alright job at splitting the spotlight between Chuck and Tiff, it's the Fandom that created that stupid fucking hierchy.
Now before I close this post and well, post it.
This made up misandrist hierchy is not ALL fans, nor is it all Tiffany fans either. Just some that I've noticed over the years that have pissed me off, like. Gradually.

OOC INFO
Name/Alias: t Pronouns: he/they Age: 32 Timezone: GMT-3
IC INFO
Character Name: Alejandra Chavez Character Age: 30 Character Birthday (with year): March 3rd, 1994 Gender & Pronouns: Cis woman, She/her Affiliation: Church of the Lost Occupation: Maid/Eoin MacCabe’s killer Faceclaim: Adria Arjona
BIOGRAPHY
tw; Familial death, murder.
Living in Puerto Rico, Alejandra's family had a rough time putting food on the table. Until they didn't. For months, Ale was completely in the dark as to how her mother suddenly could afford nice clothes, but teenager that she was, she was more than happy to look the other way while the presents kept coming.
It wasn't until years later, in a family reunion that she learned the truth: her older brother had become a prominent member of a gang in the United States which allowed him to care for his family much better than his original job as an accountant ever could. During that party she heard every single concern her family had over her brother's line of activity, but not her. Ale was entralled. She wanted to know every detail about his life as a criminal.
Despite the family's concerns, he returned to mainland and continued to send money their way, every month without fail. That lasted for another few years.
News of her brother's passing devastated everyone in the family. Everyone but Alejandra. Instead of grieving, she was furious; her brother was too smart, too talented to just die like this. It must have been foul play, and she was going to prove it, and she was gonna make it right.
Ale fled to Boston not a week later, gathering all the information she could about her brother and his contacts in Tartarus. It wasn't easy, of course, but after a few fake tears a promise of date or two she found her way in.
She was never actually a member of the gang, only a few selected people in Tartarus even knew she existed, but little by little she inched her way closer to the top of the food chain, and closer to find the truth about her brother.
Finally, she heard a name. Eion MacCabe, supposedly the guy who was responsible for her brother's downfall. The person who shared this information also had more than enough reason to see MacCabe gone, and together they came up with a plan for her to get close enough to the guy to end him for good.
Alejandra's role was straightforward: get hired to clean his apartment, get close enough to gain his trust, shoot him twice between the eyes. When the day came, Ale was surprised at how easy it was to kill that man. All she had to do was let her anger and adrenaline lead her finger to the trigger.
She fled his apartment straight to a safehouse that was gifted to her by her associate, and two days later moved again to an entirely new part of city, under the protection of the Church of the Lost.
Now, without her revenge as a motivator, Alejandra is antsy. She wants to get out of shadows and take her rightful place in the criminal hierchy of Boston. She knows she has her brother's blood in her, that she can be just as successful as he was, or even more. She was the one who made this new war happen, and she's the one who's gonna end on top.

references of the headpieces the Tswak'haya wear!!
these headpieces signify your occupation to others, it's more a way of knowing your usefulness than a hierchy lol
oloeyktan, tsahik, and tsakarem wear a carnelian like stone as their center piece for their headpieces, meanwhile hunters, weavers and others use carved bones from the iwana. for all the headpieces, wood, twine, and carved bone is used for its structure. it's common for headpieces to have variations depending on the person's style with the addition of beads, carvings, and different colors. it's important that all of the headpieces have the coqui symbol carved somewhere in there too

Drow table manners :
-They are somewhere in between a restrained culture and an open one. They have one focus: keep society running in the long run, and they strongly value stoicism above all else. In their culture, torture is completely normal, and nearly 100% of their population were subjected to it at some point during their lifetime, and are often forced to eat rané (a special species of autotrophes) that block endorphines while producing an intense burning sensation. They also value harsh discipline, but not necessarely comformity.
-Any signs of bodily functions must be repressed. So, no burping, farting or moaning. Restrained. They even consider animated conversations at the dinner table to be improper.
-Only the leaders of the house, namely the elders and the male head of house can sit in the comfortable tailor position. The rest must sit in the W position. It is considered especially rude to not sit in a W position as a house guest. Having a hierchical society but without furniture, this arrangement shows deference to the leaders, as well as an act of religious devotion. In religious orders, everybody is required to sit in a W position, and hierchy is shown with the leader sitting in the center of the circle.
-Children are expected to sit in W position, to keep their thighs bare and their left hand lifted and flat, palm upward. It is seen as a sign of deference towards the elders, of acceptance of house rules and discipline and is considered good for their coordination. Smaller children are allowed more leaway because their coordination is still underdevelopped, but after a certain point, they would be expected to sit like that nice and still.
-They view routine as a way of honoring the dead, by keeping the same routine for several generations. Findling with dinner time is there for considered about as polite as spiting on someone's grave.

I'm sick of the bullshit, guys.
The amount of people I have unfollowed since October breaks my heart because half of them should fucking know better. I believe most of them are good people with scrupulosity triggers who are partly reblogging things without checking out of guilt, because they've internalized the puritan aggression that's become so popular in leftist spaces.
But I'm fucking tired of seeing leftists who should know better reblogging blood libel and parroting nazis and thinking they're doing the right thing because someone said #freepalestine and they turned their brain off.
As a non-Jew, I'm not comfortable running my mouth about a conflict on the other side of the globe involving ethnic groups I have no ties to. As a member of the Irish diaspora specifically, considering how many fucking nazis use my ethnicity as a shield to excuse their racism and antisemitism, I'm even less comfortable staying silent.
I'm horrified at what I'm seeing and I can't even imagine how painful it is for Jews and Muslims and anyone else who actually has ties to this and I just can't sit here and watch my dash devolve into a Qanon-esque cesspit because traumatized young people who want to do the right thing are so easy to weaponize and turn into useful chumps for heinous ideologies.
Just. Don't be awful to each other! Why is this so hard for us, the supposed "unjust hierchies and human suffering are bad" party, to get right??
(I know there are reasons too deep for me to get into, but we can start by taking the teensy tiny eeny weeny itty bitty baby step of supporting Palestinian human rights while also not engaging in or enabling rampant, vicious antisemitism!)
#I'm tired#and it all just kinda hit me at once#one too many thoughtless reblogs ended up on my dash and I hit saturation I guess#antisemitism#pigeon chatters

Some questions for/about your lovely characters:
Bram - 8 - Do complex puzzles intrigue or frustrate them?
Dawn - 15 - What would they consider a waste of time– other than school or work?
June - 30 - What would they do if they knew it would be forgiven?
Aedes - 26 - Talent or effort?
Bram hates complex puzzles, with strategy games occasionally being an exception (except if he's losing) so he is not at all happy about his current "charades/signing" situation. He's liable to throw things💀
Dawn is very much "There's a time and place for everything" for the majority of things- minus TV. Girlie can't stand sitting down and wasting time on what she would consider "absolutely nothing." She's got far too many chores and far too little sleep to consider watching TV.
OOF- June would probably be a lot more hands on with Aedes, as long as he wasn't full on panicking. On a less intense scale, if she could get away with it she'd "accidentally" spill something on him. That white shirt is just begging to get wet- I don't make the rules 🤷♀️
This is actually a concept that gets explored in Bite Me coincidentally. Aedes is naturally very talented and at the current moment, does not inherently value effort. Not in the sense he thinks it's bad, but his life style doesn't really lead him to being able to explore his own talents, and dedication to a skill is a lot higher up in Maslov's hierchy of needs than where this man is dwelling, so it's just not really a concern for him.
#That last one is actually a MAJOR plot point 👀#June is thirsty#yet girly pop is spilling her water 👀#Bram is just ready to lose it if he has to play charades to discuss top secret information#meanwhile Dawns just chorin.#g/t community#Bite Me#AedesOC#JuneOC#BramOC#DawnOC#instar

Book Of Shadows Index
I see a ton of Witchtoks/people who only give a basic summary of what to research along with a ton of books and I'm more of a bullet point girl. So... Here we go.
A book of shadows was coined by Alaisar Crowley, alongside garnder who was the founder of Wica, then changed to Wicca later on [I will go in depth in history with links/sources and more detail on another post]
So here's the index for a book of shadows, full of all things you the individual want to learn include in your practice and like Pirates of the Caribean, take it more as guidlines and you're free to decide what you like/don't like.
So Include a Book Of shadows Blessing in the begging of your book [or digital document] And a BOS is like a diary, only you can see it or your coven.
____________________________________________________________
Beginner Studies; Introduction to Witchcraft. I.e: What is Paganism, Wicca, Witchcraft? What is the difference? Wicca History: Origins in your country of origin. Salem, etc. Covens and Hierchies and Solitary witches. Basic rundown, you have your first, second, third degree. Like an employee, a suvervisor and a manager. Managers are in charge of their own store, like a third degree can create their own coven.
Lore: Tree of life, Triple goddess, Horned God, Morgan le fey and other mythical lore and research depending on which one your aligned with. Like Norse, Greek, Celtic, Viking, Roman, or any other types. Wiccan Rede, rules of Wicca power of three times three. Etc.
Symbols: Look up certain symbols, or sigils, runes, thats commonly used in Wicca/Paganism or your preffered craft. Cast a circle: Most begin a spell and cast a protection circle before you begin your spell. Pentacle [Star with circle] Pentragram [No circle] *Include the Spirit, fire, earth, water, air. Evil eye. [usually used as protection AGAINST the evil eye]
Witch Tools: Witch tools you use, or place on your altar. Like an Athame, cualdron, wand, etc Tools of Divination: Pendulum, spirit board, tarot, angel cards, scrying mirror, playing cards, etc Additional tools: Candles. Crystals. Elements Herbs Chakras/Meditation Lucid Dreaming Astral projection Milk baths
______________________________________________________________
Year Calender/Sabbets Month Calender Day Calender: Like Moday is MOON. Sunday is SUN, Saturday is Saturn etc. Deities Celtic/ Roman/Norse Other gods to research. etc Astrology.
Star Sign, Moon sign, Sun Sign, other planetary signs. Planet Retrograde, Mercury retrograde, mars, venus etc Moon Phases. Like hunters moon, pink moon etc.
Animals as omens [Careful with this one, as it links to other occult/cultures/religions and best not to appropriate and lead to indiginous tribes or others. But not all animals as omens is a sign, usually it links to the Fea as animals are fea and fea are animals and other religions like kitsune, tanaki, are shapeshifters or known as spirits in other cultures]
______________________________________________________________
Spells Moon Water Witch bag/bottle Broomsticks Seashell collecting [A practice looked down on now for enviormental effects, but I have bottles/jars of shells I've collected when I was six so I've kept them and included them as I have some] Witch Outfits [this is just my personal interest, it ties in with the history a little] Symbolism of the Hat [Like a Candle] Witch Nudity Haute Couture Bohemian/Grunge goth fashion Media/Pop culture:
Books or movies that have had witch consultants or other ties to witchcraft/wicca etc. Such as practical magic, the Craft and maybe even Neil Gaimans works such as the ocean at the end of the lane. Coraline that had mentions of a dowsing rod, and rock with a hole in the center to find lost things. Music:
Listening to music can also set da mood, so I will compile playlists and songs that made me feel witchy. Anything else to include feel free to ask or reblog :D
*ALSO IMPORTANT! CLOSED/OPEN Practice! Wicca as it is is open, you can buy a wicca book/watch withtok who have you whatever whatever! But a closed practice? Thats a religion or something you CANNOT access too UNLESS you are invited in, or iniated into that group! Indeginous tribes/jewish traditions/hoodoo/voodoo/ etc. A closed practice is a closed door. You cant access that by yourself. Which is why White sage cant be used, theres many alternatives and other incenses/sages to burn. Not the one thats sacred/endangered and used speicifially in indeginous tribes. They've already had enough taken away from them what do witches need white sage for in this current enviromental crisis? so yeah...
Additional last note: I will also include passages alongside the books I have by cunningham and others with the book as well as the passage and page/chapter and try to include web links in any future post I make.
Bear in my mind and I will TRY to be as accurate as I can, but I will make mistakes and end up posting some things thats misinformed even when I post links. But I will try my best to fix any mistakes if I can.
Blessed be.
