Can we talk about how Buck shows his distress in a visceral physical way; shouting Eddie's name, insanely single minded intensity in rescuing him (his eyes during the sniper arc goddamn), saying out loud again and again about how he's got him, shaking hands, broken sobs but Eddie show's his distress in a more quieter way, almost folding it into himself; yes he does shout for Buck but also, when he saves Buck, he immediately becomes more subdued, he drove the truck even though I'm sure everything in him was screaming to be with Buck, he stays with the team and hugs them first and when he sneaks Chris in and cries, it's subdued too-wiping it off immediately, quiet. Even after getting shot when he asks Buck if he's hurt, it's more quiter and gentler (it's probably the blood loss but you know what I mean). Buck grieves with his whole body and heart and Eddie grieves with his soul is what I'm saying. They even complement each other in the way they grieve. Buck needs an anchor to keep him steady while he rages like a storm and Eddie needs someone whose arms he can quietly fall apart in, carrying him ashore gently.

Request: Hello could you do tony x daughter genius reader wherein she loves solving crime kinda sherlock Holmes and she mostly solve it. The avengers are trying to recruit her but she refused because she love solving crime and it wear off the boredom. The avengers especially her father are worried at reader whenever the reader didn't eat nor sleep or even in the tower for couple of days and thinking something is wrong but sure the reader is solving hard cases. Anyway something happened while solving the crime, the reader (kinda like sherlock) was face to choose between her life or her loves and so she fake her death and the avwngers are devastated. No one knows she's alive till three or four years later. Hehehehhe

The mood of everyone since the morning started had been off, and no one was addressing it. Everyone went on with their days, doing their jobs, meetings, training, planning for future missions, but there was a tension in the air, and Tony was a lot quiter than usual. More passive, off in a daydream, but no one asked if he was alright. They didn’t have to. 

They knew he wasn’t alright. Why would he be? It was the third anniversary of the death of you, his daughter. It wasn’t a natural death- something anyone saw coming and could prepare for. It was sudden, coming out of nowhere, surprising everyone. And the worst part? It wasn’t even an accident. 

No one knew the exact details about what happened that day. You were acting strange- but that was just you everyday, being secretive, getting into trouble that Tony didn’t know the full extent of until days or weeks or months after it was all over, usually you putting yourself in insane amounts of danger to solve a criminal case, each time never failing to driving your poor father insane with worry. But in hindsight, the team couldn’t deny you were being even more secretive, more paranoid, more shut off then usual. The last time any of them saw you asleep in the tower before your death was 3 days prior, and none had seen you ate for at least a day before, being consumed in your work and thoughts, but they never got the chance to ask what was happening to offer help because you left the tower the night prior to your death, and the last time anyone heard from you, was when you called your dad to tell him you were sorry, and goodbye. 

Tony had spent the last 3 years trying to figure out what the case you were working on was. There was no doubt that your death was linked to it in some way. However, you hadn’t told him much, and no matter how many times he flipped your old room upside down or had FRIDAY scan your electronics for anything, or keep track of every single contact in your phone and friend on social media for any suspicious behaviour, there wasn’t many leads,  and those leads dried up in a year. You told no one what you were investigating, you covered your tracks thoroughly, and if you had taken any notes about your findings, you hid them so well not even a genius, and more importantly your father, could find out where you had put them. No traces. No leads. No idea on what led you to the decision to die that day, and so seemingly out of nowhere. The end result was nothing but questions, and your dad who was trying to act like nothing happened- somewhere between you’re still alive and just somewhere living such a normal quiet life- totally not your style- to the point where he had nothing to tell the others about and so didn’t speak about you, and acting like you never existed in the first place, but spending every night looking for anything to give him answers.

Despite the clear discomfort and tension amongst everyone in the room, everyone tried to act like it was a normal day. Everyone consciously tried to not look at Tony more often than they usually would, stayed on track with their conversations, and Tony kept his head down and was quieter than he usually was as Maria was briefing the group about some leads they got from their last mission. However, after Maria paused to switch slides, the quiet but identifiable buzzing of a vibrating phone was heard, and everyone stopped and looked amongst each other before Tony felt his pocket, and eyes went to him. “Sorry.” He apologised with a fake smile as he dug into his pocket, retrieving the phone and looked at who he was, then froze, the smile fading immediately. Everyone tensed as Tony stared at the screen of his phone. Bruce, who was sat closest to Tony, peaked over his shoulder, before his eyes widened and he looked at everyone in a panicked rush before turning back to Tony. 

“T-Tony-” Was all he was able to get out before Tony stood abruptly, leaving the room, and putting the phone to his ear. Everyone looked at Bruce in stunned silence, knowing he was was the only one in the room to give answers to what just happened. Bruce gulped, before he opened his mouth again. “It was Y/N. Y/N was calling him.”

“Who the hell is this and how did you get my daughter’s phone?” Tony stopped in the empty hallway, but his voice, while a growl, was still a whisper. He could feel his hands shaking, pumping with adrenaline. Despite the fact that you were long gone, Tony kept your phone. He paid the bill for it to remain active, kept it tucked in a drawer in your room between clothes where he couldn’t hear the vibration so he could call your number and hear your voicemail and for a moment believe you’d pick up, and just to hear your voice so he couldn’t forget. He couldn’t forget. At this point the words ‘Hi this is Y/N, if you’re hearing this, I’m busy. Don’t call again, I’ll call you maybe’ were the crispest words he could recall in your voice. He only got the phone out once a week to charge it back up. 

“Dad, it’s me. It’s Y/N.” The voice on the phone responded to him. You. It was you. Even the tone in your voice was the same- somewhere between tired and annoyed, but Tony long knew you usually didn’t actually feel the way your voice sounded. Despite this, Tony couldn’t help but doubt. This had to be a trap. Someone pretending to mess with him. “Sorry for… what I did. I really wish I could have done it differently, given you some piece of mind, but trust me, it was the only way.” You told him, and Tony couldn’t help the small scoff escaping him. This had to be a trick, unless he was somehow talking to your ghost? As if. 

“Prove it’s you.” He said simply, and he heard you chuckle. 

“I knew you’d say that. I’m coming into the tower now. FRIDAY is about to alert you. Let me in.” You told him and hung up. Tony dropped the phone to his side, and waited. Waited for FRIDAY to activate, to speak. After a second, nothing happened, and Tony sighed, closing his eyes. It was a trick. A sick trick of some sort-

“Mr Stark?” The voice of the AI made Tony’s eyes snap open. “I don’t know how to explain this, but your daughter is downstairs and wants access to the elevator to meet with you. Shall I activate security and lockdown?” She asked him. 

“No. Let her come up.” Tony answered, turning and starting to head back down the hallway, using the wall to stabilise himself. Ahead of him, the door to the meeting room opened, everyone stepping out and seeing him, Steve stepped forward, putting a hand on Tony’s arm. They were expecting an angry Tony, one who would snap at Cap, tell him to get his hands off of him, that some sick individual had called him as a joke, or that someone else had gotten your phone number and somehow called him on accident or something- not Tony, so pale they thought he was dying, seemingly in deep shock and not fully aware of his surroundings. 

“Tony what happened?” Steve asked, holding the man up.

“It was her. She… she’s in the elevator now, she’s going to be here any second-” He told them. 

“It’s probably a trap, everyone be ready.” Natasha spoke up, and everyone moved out of the hallway to the large open lounge area where the elevator’s opened to, and they waited. Tony forced Steve to take him as well, not sure who to believe. It sounded just like you. But you’re dead. Who else could be in the elevator? But you’ve been gone for three years. 

After a short period of time, the elevator was heard reaching the floor, and everyone tensed as the door opened. Everyone stared as you stepped out. Completely fine. Your eyes scanned each of the avengers, before they landed on your dad. Your head tilted, your shoulders slumping, and you sighed. “Hi dad.” 

Tony carefully pulled Steve off of him, walking slowly over to you until he stood over you, taking in all your features- making sure they were all correct. Little features only a parent would notice about their child, things that even a clone would fail to adopt. They were all there. Tony raised his arm and put it on your shoulder, and when his hand didn’t go straight through you like a hallucination or a hologram, he pulled you towards him into a hug. It was only when you wrapped your arms around him did he finally digest that you were actually here, and he lost his breath. “How? How are you here?” He asked as he clung to you. 

“Where the hell have you been, kid?” Clint asked. “We all thought you were dead. You faked your own death for three years- why are you back now?” He asked. You pulled away from your dad to look at everyone again, before looking at your dad, who also very clearly wanted answers. 

“It was related to your case, right?” Tony asked, and you nodded. “What happened?” 

“Something unexpected happened. Someone, somehow, had the upper hand on me, and they made a very clear and very real threat that I had to take seriously and act quickly to get control of the situation back.” 

“Y/N, stop being vague. You’ve been gone 3 years, I want answers, not another riddle to decipher.” Tony scorned at you, getting an annoyed look from you, before you responded. 

“I thought I was up against a singular person, but I quickly realised it was multiple people, and then I found out that was an entire organisation, and the head of it all made it clear that they had the man power to make the threat to kill you and anyone I care about.” You explained, looking directly at Tony, before you turned to the others. “And you all too. They sent evidence to me that they had people tracking your every move and at any point if I didn’t do as they said, they could kill you immediately. I had to do as they say.” 

“What did they want you to do?” Tony asked, this time his voice a lot calmer, though there was some veiled anger- not at you- in his voice. 

“To die.” You answered, shortly, and quickly everyone realised exactly what had happened. “So I did. I had to make it look as real as possible, and also make sure no one could trace what I had been doing so they wouldn’t go after you for knowing things and making everything I did be for nothing. So, I died, they thought they had nothing to worry about anymore, and they went on with their ventures, and I got to work on getting under their skin without them realising. As of 2 hours ago, that case is officially closed. News reports will be rolling in soon, but I don’t know when or even if I can ‘come back to life’. But… I had to let you know as soon as it was safe to do so, that I’m alive and okay. And I’m sorry.” You explained. 

“You were… undercover, this entire time? Did you do it alone?” Tony asked. You shook your head. 

“I had a small group of people who knew bits and pieces of what I was doing but no one knew the full image, so even if they were compromised, I’d still have an upper hand, luckily it never got to that point, but other than them, yes, I was alone 95% of the time.” You explained to him.

“Anyone we know?” Natasha asked, clearly hinting to Maria or Fury, but you shook your head. 

“None of the people I worked with have any ties back to any of you. Like I said, I covered all traces. None of the people I worked with even knew of me being a Stark.” You told her. 

“So you solved the case. What now?” Thor asked. Your eyes moved to look back at your dad.

“I need to continue to lay low for a while, might need a bit of the help of SHIELD to expose the information I have as to why the actions I did were the right course, and I can’t just come back- I’ve been dead three years, that’ll be breaking news and easy to tie back to the case if it’s found out too early. So I’m going to lay low, keep my head down… no cases for quite a while. Consider it a holiday.” 

“How about that vacation house I used to take you to all the time when you were little? In the middle of nowhere. Also means I can come say hi for a few weeks and we can catch up.” Tony offered, and you smiled and nodded. 

“That sounds good. When we get there I can tell you all about the look on that idiot’s face when he realised I wasn’t dead and I was about to make him the dead one.” 

“Alright maybe don’t admit to murder until we can get you cleared of charges.” Tony said, pushing you back to the elevator to take you home to gather what you needed, the dynamic of you oversharing or saying something inappropriate and him having to draw you back in or reprimand falling back into place so easily. Like you were never gone.

shane & kevin dont see each other a lot so in my mind i have to work a lot with the post game tension when they do end up facing each other on court again

the two of them find themselves in an empty room and they both agreed beforehand they will have to stay professional but shane is a little shit and he keeps pressing kevin’s buttons

he’ll lean in real close in kevin’s personal space, brushes against him and makes comments about kevin’s footwork or passing on the court

kevin acts annoyed for like three minutes, reminding shane of their promise beforehand, until thinking whatever and they make out

shane posts a mirror selfie on social media except the mirrors are still a bit foggy and kevin can be seen in the background with a towel around his waste and a hand in his hair and fans go insane over it ((we have to keep the messy socmed tone in the headcanons))

sid i ever say they promised to be professional when they faced each other on court? because they lied. they’re casually flirting with each other during their match.

lets go back to the olympics for a bit. for a while there eas a vid going round with shane & kevin in the background of a random sports channel when they’re being very touchy and standing really close to each other

when they both go their separate ways kevin has this urge to keep talking to shane but he finds it hard to casually text about random things so instead he will slide into shane’s messages with unsolicited advice after shane plays a game.

shawn/derrick/derek

derek’s love language is physical touch

shawn’s love language is words of affirmation

derrick’s love language is acts of service

this is really important because derek is always touching one of them, leaning into their chests, kissing them, looking for a hand to hold and he absolutely melts under the touch

shawn needs to be told how good he’s doing or be told “i love you” like twenty times a day or he’ll go absolutely crazy

derrick takes care of them. he makes sure derek takes his medicines. he always gets shawn his coffee etc.

derrick is lowkey overprotective over shawn for the sole reason that he knows shawn will never take anything serious enough to take anything personal — so whenever people make a comment about shawn’s hyper character, or on the contrary sleepiness or whatever derrick’s always like 🤨 and what about it? what did u just say?

shawn doesn’t even realise it because like i said this man takes everything as a joke

derrick is the one always looking out for derek and making sure he doesnt skip taking his meds. (he always jokes about how derek and shawn would lose their heads if it wasn’t on their necks) but whenever derek takes his medication there’s a noticeable shift in his character and he gets quiter than usual and less energetic. mostly due to fogginess and tiredness, so whenever shawn notices this he dials back on his hyper character

I'm surprised you have not made a sonic tadc au. would you assign the sonic characters as them or would you make your own ocs?

anon I'm sure you thought aha this would be a fun little ask to send Jester, surely they are not insane, well I have autism so you're wrong there anyway.

I'd prolly make my own cast if I had the skill set to draw sonic characters but it's a learning progress still but I can tell you what characters I would assign the tadc cast and why.

Caine - Not Dr eggman funny enough. See Caine isn't evil he's just an ai doing what he thinks is best and if anything he's gone out of his way to keep the others safe in his own very bizzare and insane way but that's part of his coding I guess. I think whoever BUILT caine would be eggman, made to fuck with sonic and his friends so I think if caine would remain the same or if I was really going to assign a chacter it would be sage, simple fact she's already an ai that's become sentiant and throughout frontiers she just fucks with sonic until experiencing acutal emotions. But I think Caine would just be caine with his own personal eggman touch.

Pomni - Silver or Blaze. Silver and Blaze are the main cast but they are not to overly involved with them, they'll help out and they are considered friends but they are also outsiders in a strange way, silver is from the future and blaze is from another dimension. Pomni is the new character, she's WITH them and she's making friends but I think they think of her like an outsider. They both have similar personailities to her to when engaging in something with the group, they'll help of course but stressful situations can make a stressful character.

Ragatha - Amy or cream. Both of these personailities fit Ragatha in there own way, Amy has a certain mothering nature to herself, she's took it upon herself to take care of everyone around her but the thing is she is still only a child herself, she shouldn't be taking on that reponsibility but she's had to grow up fast. And I think Ragatha is somewhat the same, she feels like she has to be the glue that holds everyone together but that is not her responsbility. Cream would fit her due to Ragatha taking a presumed innocence to everything, yes she wants to help and wants to treat everyone with kindness but the fact of the matter is the world is not a very kind place and sometimes you really do have to just be mean.

Gangle - Tangle (lol/happy mask) / whisper (sad mask) although we don't get to see much of Gangle's happy mask from what we have seen she seems to be ready for adventure and maybe when her mask does not break she's the one charging out in front of everyone else the same way Tangle seeks adventure and meaning for herself.

Whisper takes on the sad mask due to her quiter nature as well as emotional state, although she likes to also hide herself behind her mask she i often very vunrable and emotional and tends to keep her distance from others if she can help it.

Zooble - Tails, I wouldn't say personaility wise that Tails fits into Zooble, I think more of Zoobles body when I think of tails, they enjoy to tinker and I think being able to remove parts of themselves and replace it with other parts would be fascinating to Tails. They also seem to have the smarts to go under Caine's nose to do what they want, even going as far as to not join in on adventures. I think tails would take this to explore and gather info, there's a lot about zoobs we don't know but I think they are smarter than anyone really knows.

Kinger - Big the cat. I feel Big just fits Kinger's personaility a litte bit, he's very chill and easy going and often isn't aware of his surroundings due to putting all his focus into finding froggy. He's also somewhat forgetful but is a loving character and often acts as a comfort to others, the same way Kinger does when he has a sane state of mind. I think instead of Froggy though it would be replaced with like a big pill bug or something hjdhvjfn

Jax - Sonic. Jax is a very easy going character minus being an asshole, he tends to do things his own way and dosn't often follow the set narrative that Caine has set out for him to follow. This is the same vein as sonic, Sonic won't ever do what eggman expects him to do, and if he does it's because it's part of whatever plan sonic has up his sleeve. I think the pranks Jax pulls would be redirected towards any ai and robots Caine has set up for them. He prolly keeps his distance from the group to try and get the task done as fast as he can which results in a slow growing distance or usually the group saving sonic at the last rush second.

Other Ai would still remain the same, but the manniquins would prolly be replaced by eggbots.

Exhaustion is getting to you, when you walk home. The sun's still out, shining in your face, but even Rome is getting cold this time of year. All you want is a cup of tea when you get home, hopefully forgetting the job interview you just finished, for at least a few hours, before you can think about how it went once more.

Entering your flat, you just throw your jacket over the next best piece of furniture and your keys end up on the kitchen table. You decide to get the kettle running first, getting your tea ready before you do anything else - getting undressed, changing into comfy clothes, actively avoiding thinking about the job interviews you had this week. You sigh, it's worth the hassle, you tell yourself. You want a life here, it's worth it even with the job market being terrible and your Italian far from as good as you want it to be. In the end, you moved because of being in love, it has to be worth it somehow.

You sigh again, when you see that the teabags which are usually on the counter are empty. If you would have enough energy and enough brain function left, you would probably get a chair but you can't be bothered neither does the idea form in your brain anyways. Not today. Sometimes you are getting the chair and even this sometimes is too much for Ethan. Getting him to worry that you'll definitely hurt yourself - you never did. Good that he can't see you now.

The teabags are all the way up in the cabinet. Even with kneeling on the kitchen counter, you still have to stretch a little bit to reach them, your blouse riding higher with the movement.

You're just about to end your little climbing session when Ethan is standing in the door. He's sweaty and for one or two seconds, you almost lose your balance on the counter. He's hypnotizing always but right now it's a lot more than just the usual.

"Did you work out?", you ask him, "Or is that from band practice?"

"What on earth do you think, you're doing?" He doesn't answer your question, he just glares at you. It's a fight, you had a few times by now. You getting into the kitchen cabinets in rather adventurous ways. Taking chairs to get up there, a stool, standing on your tip toes stretching your arms and almost toppling over like this. But by now, you also had it often enough to know, that you know everything will be okay again in half an hour tops. And maybe the make up sex is always worth it in your books. "In these shoes? Are you insane?"

Oh. You totally forgot that you're still wearing your heels. It's a miracle that you're still wearing them and it wasn't the first thing you kicked off when you came through the door.

"You will fall. Just because it never happened doesn't mean it's never going to happen", you can see that he's getting more and more worried by the second but for some reason, you don't move, "You'll fall and you're going to hurt yourself."

He's standing there, shaking his head, probably in disbelieve. And you can see that he's worried out of his mind.

"I know what I'm doing", you say looking at him. Looking at him makes you almost lose your balance again but you catch yourself and smile at him. He doesn't smile one bit, he comes the few steps over to you, puts his hands on your hips and then gets you off the counter. He's having no problem with you wiggling around in his hold, he's strong, his strong arms are one of your favourite things to look at. Without another word, just another glare - still with so much worry in his eyes, he leaves towards the shower.

"Thanks for asking how it went", that's what you say loudly, so he's going to hear it before adding a much quiter "Dickhead."

It doesn't concern you that much at first. You're just waiting in the kitchen for him to come back and talk to you. By then everything would be fine again, everyone would say their Sorry's and it would be fine again. It doesn't happen, he's just going past the kitchen and he still doesn't say a word to you. That concerns you. When you move to see what he's doing, he's sitting on the couch reading a book. You try to say something but the look he gives you, tells you that he isn't interested in hearing anything right now.

You decide to just fall into your bed, clothes still on, shoes still on. The tea you so desperately wanted long forgotten. When you wake up again, you can hear the sounds of the TV from whatever Ethan is watching. When you go into the living room, he isn't watching TV though. He's on the floor doing pushups. His shower having been for nothing apparently as you can see the sweat glistening on his skin again and in this moment you decide that you have enough. Instead of going back to bed, you sit down on the couch and instead of watching what's on TV, you just watch him. At one point he stops to look at you but there's still no word coming from him. Absolutely not the usual script your fights are going after. If you wouldn't already be worried, you would be getting worried now. It doesn't stop you from getting even more worried though and that feeling that something is going really wrong just isn't going away anymore.

He does seem to notice because in the next moment he's in front of you, kissing your forehead . Touching your knee and then settling down between your legs: "I'm just worried about you, I want you to understand this", he says calmly, "I'm not pissed off, I'm just afraid that you will hurt yourself beyond repair, it scares me."

You laugh at the choice of words but you also know, that he probably is right and you should be a little bit more careful. At least the weight on your chest is lifted again.

"You're still wearing these?" He gets one of your legs up, placing your foot on the sofa. By now you're just wearing them to be annoying. You hate wearing them, especially when there's no reason to do so. What are the Cherry Magic WIPs? 26 finished stories are not enough for me! :)

Thanks for the ask, mdwstchrmer! And omg :faceinpalm: that you have enjoyed so many of those fics. Thank you! <3

Cherry Magic has been my truest fandom insanity. Sometimes I look at my ao3 homepage and see the little 26 indicator for that fandom and think, how would I ever write that much for another one? All my ideas and stories have come from having such a nice fandom home there who appreciated and encouraged so much of my writing and I will love my Cherry Magic fandom friends forever.

So aaactually, I only have 24 finished fics. Two of those are on my wips list. I had started both around the movie announcement and I had paused on them thinking they would be fun to focus on once the movie was released to international fans. 8000 years later, I probably should stop waiting and finish them already.

So here's a little bit about those and what I plan to do with them:

Ready or Not - This is a 5+1 fic that is essentially about Adachi and Kurosawa planning to have a baby with aneki as their surrogate. It comes from some of those quiter, smaller moments that a couple experiences as they prepare to be parents and step off the cliff. Adachi and Kurosawa are so sweet and sincere with each other and there weren't a ton of parent fics out there when I started it, plus I had lots of fun thinking about how soft Adachi is with kids in my Friend in Need fic so this fic just seemed to pop up. It has two out of the six vignettes posted. I have outlines for the rest.

Awakening - Speaking of a Friend in Need (probably one of my favorite CM fics I wrote, although it's hard to choose favorites, but this is my first long fic for that fandom and is special), this idea was inspired a bit by that fic. Awakening is a Pornographer AU where Adachi accidentally collides with his neighbor Kurosawa who breaks his arm and lets slip that he is an author and cannot work after the accident. Adachi feels terrible about it and offers to help Kurosawa physically write his latest novel (lol that in the Pornographer he is literally writing his dictations down because dude is eccentric instead of you know, typing, and I guess no text-to-speech - lets just go with it, shall we? XD) and spoiler! Kurosawa writes erotica. Much like in a Friend in Need, Kurosawa's openness about sex and his feelings around it helps Adachi explore his own feelings/sexuality. Kurosawa's dictation of these stories allows Adachi to put himself into those fantasies and well, the tension here lies where it usually does for Adachi in my fics - feeling settled in himself enough to take the risk to be open about what he wants once he's discovered it.

So yeah, I have no others for CM on the backburner. I do feel like I have dug into these characters quite a bit, but since they do feel like home I could see doing more with them writing for prompts (and would be happy to do that) but I have gotten to write everything that I have wanted for them with the exception of finishing those above.

pairing: barista!akaashi x f!reader

synopsis: you walk into akaashi’s back-alley coffee shop every thursday evening with a new book, a new order, and a new name.

The feathers of the duster glided over the counter, brushing off any loose beans onto the linoleum on the bar. Conscious of the time, Akaashi let his eyes wander over to the door expectantly. It was still an hour till closing time, but that’s not exactly what he was looking forward to. 

For the last two months or so, every Thursday evening, roughly an hour before close; in walked you. 

From the second you walked through the door, he was entranced by you, and his infatuation only deepened the more you visited his hidden little cafe.

Akaashi had never been one to have friends, besides ones he met through his old volleyball team, and there was definitely no girlfriend anywhere in the picture, so he didn't really know where to start when just one look at you made his heart tumble out of his chest.

And, becuase of course, there was another dilema on his mind; despite asking for your name every time he made your drink, he didnt actually know your real name yet. Every time you came in you had ordered something wildly different, along with a brand new name. The poor boy thought he was going insane.

The first time he had met you, it had been a sunny evening, and as usual, the shop was pretty much empty - only two customers and himself occupying the café. He was practically begging for something to do before the bell on the door chimed, signalling another entry.

For the first time in his life, Akaashi had to physically pause in shock as he laid eyes on you. He quickly caught himself out and slipped right back into his role, but the fact that you had caught his attention enough to distract him like that was baffling to him.

"Good evening. What can I get started for you?" His eyes followed you as you approached the counter gracefully, smiling at him before squinting up at the menu.

"Ah... hazelnut mocha? Yeah, regular size, please." Akaashi resisted the urge to chuckle at your indecisiveness.

"And a name for that?" You rained an eyebrow slightly, eyes darting around the shop, noting how empty it was. Akaashi has realised his mistake, but it was both a mistake of habit and just a petty excuse to learn your name.

"Elizabeth." Once again, Akaashi was rendered speechless. It seemed his surprise didn't go unnoticed either as you attempted to hide your giggle behind the book he hasn't realised you were holding. he tried to catch the title, but didn't get the chance as you had composed yourself before he could even blink. 

He cleared his throat and moved to the till, where he quickly tapped your order into the machine. He tried desperately not to blush when your hands brushed as you handed him the money for your drink, and decided to focus on making your drink instead of studying your face. 

However, because of this, he completely missed the way your eyes followed him as he danced across the bar, first for the syrup, then for the chocolate. It was as if you would miss the entire show if you took your eyes off of him. He moved so fluently it was if the process was ingrained into his body. You continued to watch as he allowed the chocolate to steam unsupervised while he prepared the espresso, savouring the scent of the coffee as he pulled the shots. 

You noticed a slight change in the sound to the steam, as did he, and without even looking he turned the lever to stop it, while also pouring the the espresso into the mug and swirling it together. The pouring felt like some sort of performance, with the way he held the jug so lightly, gently and precisely guiding the chocolate into the mug, wiggling it to make a gorgeous pattern on top. 

He placed the drink on a saucer, pairing it with a spoon and a little biscuit that he had pulled from seemingly nowhere. You smiled gratefully as he pushed it over to you, barely able to meet your eyes. 

“If you want a quiet place to read, the corner over there with the ferns is probably your best bet,” He nodded over to a little nook across the shop and you could see what he meant, it was secluded, and all other tables were faced away from it, but you could still see out over the entire store, especially with it being so small. 

“They’re fake... in case, you know... allergies?’ Giggling, you tucked your book under your arm in order to use both hands to carry the drink over to the table. A you did, Akaashi finally got a good look at the spine. 

‘Pride and Prejudice’

“I’ll be here if you need anything.” With one last nod in thanks, you left the counter, allowing the barista to breathe again without the fear or stuttering or stumbling over his words. 

The second time he met you it has already turned cold, and frost was beginning to creep its way up the café windows. Luckily, it was nice and toasty inside the shop, and with an unlimited supply of hot drinks at his fingertips, it couldn’t be any better.

Except, it could. 

Akaashi was actually meant to be training up a new barista today, and yet he was distracted, thinking about a certain customer that he hasn't seen in a full week now. Who did he think he was? Falling in love at first sight only to possibly never see you again? It was just his luck. 

The owner was drawn out of his thoughts as he heard a hiss of pain, immediately looking over to see said new barista with a hand now covered in scalding hot coffee. He sighed, but quickly grabbed the cloth he kept in his apron pocket. Wiping the trainee’s hand, he instructed them to run it under cold water for as long as possible to make sure it didn't blister.

As they walked away, Akaashi faintly heard the door chime, and ran a hand through his hair in order to calm himself before speaking to a customer. 

“Hi, what can I- oh...” You stood across the counter, warm eyes peeking out from where your neck and mouth were buried in the biggest, fluffiest scarf Akaashi thought he’d ever seen. He heard a small chuckle and you reached up to unravel yourself from the bundle of fabric. 

“Stressed?” Your voice was soft when you finally freed yourself. Akaashi could only give you a nod and a small smile in response, aware of his trainee’s return to the machine. A quick once-over told him that they were fine and he could continue with their training. 

“What can I get you today?” It only took one look between the two baristas to understand the situation, and you immediately took pity on the owner, deciding to order something simple to be nice. 

“Just a latte, thank you.” The more experienced barista smiled at you gratefully, and put the transaction through the till before taking your money. 

“And a name for that?” He suggested playfully, mostly in reference to his mistake the last time the two of you met.

“Emma.” He almost laughed, eyeing the new book you were holding. A fan of Jane Austen then. Akaashi opened his mouth to say something else when he was interrupted by the unmistakable sound of breaking glass behind him. It was a good thing he turned away in a panic the second he heard it, or else he would have seen you jump out of your skin in surprise. 

The whole café seemed to become even quiter than it already was for a few moments, only Akaashi’s soothing murmer present in the silence. He once again made sure that the trainee was alright before instructing them to step away so that he could clean up the mess. He disappeared for a moment before returning with a sweeping brush. With a smile, albeit a nervous one, he told you to sit down to wait rather than remaining at the counter. 

“Get comfy, it may be a minute.”

The third time you returned to his little café, Akaashi was too busy already serving a customer to greet you immediately. He was so distracted that he hadn't even heard the chime of the bell on the door, which was unusual. What did attract his attention to you however, was the odd sniffle every minute or so to his left. He slipped his gaze over you in time to see you desperately trying to hold back a sneeze, nose scrunched in the cutest way possible, sleeve ready to catch it. 

With a quiet chuckle he quickly finished up with his current customer, handing the order over to his trainee, who had surprisingly improved by miles in the past week, and was now able to handle the standard drinks to an acceptable degree. 

As the customer moved on, he watched you with an amused smile as you practically waddled up to the counter, no scarf today, but instead a chunky sweater that more of less buried you, barely visible fingers clutching your book choice for this week - Sense and Sensibility. 

He raised an eyebrow expectantly and you rolled your eyes. Despite the scarf the previous visit, you had managed to catch a cold last week from the freezing wind you walked through to get to the café, and you still hadn't fully recovered yet.

“Afternoon, Elinor.” Your eyes widened as he guessed you name for this week before you even had chance to order, but it brought an excited smile to your face.

“Something strong... uh, a... ugh!” He snickered at your frustration and you scowled, a crease in your brow, but he couldn't take you seriously with the bright pink flush across your cheeks the cold had given you. 

“A cappuccino!” You announced triumphantly, but quickly calmed yourself in slight embarrassment as you realised you might have been just a tad too loud. Akaashi was clearly enjoying your playfulness today, but made no comment, thankfully.

“Chocolate dusting?” You perked up again at that, but remained sheepish.

“Extra, please?” He put your order through the till as he always did, and you stalked off to find your usual seat as he handed it off to the trainee. 

The fourth time you stopped by, the cold spell has finally disappeared, and the glow of the evening light shining through the windows was slightly warmer than it had been recently. 

Despite this, the sight of the improved weather was immediately dampened when you walked in, such a tired expression on your face that Akaashi physically stopped in his track out of worry. You always had such a happy smile that seeing you without it seemed so strange. 

At the look on his face, you tried your hardest to smile like you usually did, but you could both that it was horribly forced, and you gave up quickly. 

“Choose for me today, ‘kaashi.” He didn't know what surprised him more - the nickname or the fact that you knew his name in the first place. Obviously it was on his name tag that you saw every time you were in the shop, but he hadn't expected you to actually remember it. 

He couldn't help the strange feeling in his stomach, both in worry and... something else that he couldn't quite place the feeling of. 

“This one’s on me. Jane today?” Even with your mood, you were never without your precious book. A quick look at the cover told him that it was Jane Eyre today, his favourite. 

You opened your mouth to protest, but one stern look from Akaashi shut you right up. You gave him a thankful smile, a genuine one, and slowly walked off to take your usual spot.

Akaashi waited until you had your back turned to quickly switch places with his other barista in order to personally make your drink today. The other barista was shocked at his hurry, but shook their head with a smile at the action. They had witnessed enough interactions between the two of you to understand. 

The next week, Akaashi waited all day and all evening, so worried about last week and how you left without a word that he couldn't even focus on his work because he just needed to see you to make sure you were okay. 

But you never came.

He was upset, but you were probably busy, or something had happened, but the though of an incident of some sort only put him even more on edge than he already was. 

With a sigh, he exited the shop, adjusting the bag on his shoulder so that he could place the key in the door to lock it. He was about to turn the metal when he heard frantic footsteps behind him. Akaashi glanced back to see you, rushing as quickly as you could, jacket billowing behind you as you made it towards him. 

You came to a stop just next to him, hands on your knees as you attempted to catch your breath as Akaashi stared down at you in bewilderment. As you finally stood straight, you smiled heavily, breaths still laboured.

“Work meeting ran over,” you tried to explain, “you aren't closed yet, are you?” You could clearly see him with the key in the door, but he could hear the evident disappointment in your voice. 

“Depends.” Hope flooded your features and the absolute joy on your face would have made him give in if he hadn't already. 

“On?” Even if he didn't know it, you could see plain as day how dejected he looked today, and you had an inkling that it was to do with your lack of appearance. 

“Tell me your name.” The was a slight pause, before you giggled at the simple condition, causing Akaashi to turn his head away as to hide from you how contagious your smile really was.

“Y/N.” You held your hand out, having never been happier to introduce yourself to someone. 

“Keiji, nice to meet you.” He took your hand in his and shook it, lingering for a moment before letting to go to take the key out of the door and open it, gesturing you inside with a smile. 

You brought books to places with you to loose yourself in someone else’s fantasy, but maybe you had found your real-life fairytale.

Aimi reminded herself that she needed to breathe, squeezing her own hand a little to distract herself. It hurt a bit, and she scolded herself for not thinking that one through. Though thinking was difficult when she'd just bumped into Nagito and knocked herself on the ground. She heard the poison drip from his lips again, and all she wanted was to get up and hold him, give him every beauty treatment she knew and make him see what she saw. What she couldn't stop looking at.

"No, that's.."

Her voice was quiet, dying out in her throat as she realized he was lost in his own world. She pressed her hand against her heart; it ached. But then she saw movement, and a hand reaching out to her as he said something she didn't hear. This time, she was the one diving into her own little world, where she had his hand in hers as she filed his nails until they were even. Then, she'd apply a basecoat and the polish. She rarely used black, but she thought it'd be the perfect contrast against that pale skin. Maybe she could add little clovers on his ring finger nails for a little spark of color. And just as quickly as it'd reached out, it reached back. She resisted the urge to jump up and grab it, instead pushing herself off the floor. She smoothed out her skirt, looking over to make sure it was okay. No stains..

She remembered that her face was covered in make-up, and she'd just smacked into his white shirt. A sudden panick washing over her, she smoothed out his shirt and search for any makeup residue.

"Oh, gosh! I'm so sorry, did I hurt you? I don't think I got your shirt dirty, that was really lucky.."

She started at a normal volume, but as usual she got quiter the longer she spoke. Her hands were pulling his jacket so it sat on his shoulders properly, smoothing out the wrinkles in his sleeves. She was about to start fixing his hair when she looked into his eyes again and... oh God, what was she doing?

She immediately pulled her hands back to her chest, pressing them tightly against her body as if scared that they'd touch him again. She was suddenly hyperaware of the lingering warmth on her fingertips, trying and failing to calm herself down. What had she just done? Had she gone insane?

She muttered out one apology after the other, keeping her head down. Embarrassment washed over her and she kept all her focus in not looking at him. If she did, she was certain she'd die. She wished the ground would swallow her whole and she considered running out of the school, but with her shaky legs she believed she'd end up face first in the floor again.

So she closed her eyes and stayed. A light flush on her face, she thought she must look ridiculous. Keeping her head down, her thumping heartbeat pounded on her eardrums and shook her hands on top of her heart. For a moment, she was scared he could hear it too.

Nagito watched in confusion as she stood up on her own and started brushing at his shirt, feeling slight shivers from where she was touching, travel up his back. Surely her touch was just her hope being washed over his being, right? Then again, he doesn’t remember feeling the same way whenever his other classmates had touched him. He could feel his head spinning from the close proximity, her touches felt like electricity, and he didn’t know what else to do but to let his face redden and just stand there. And it’s not like he would pull away; to be touched by an ultimate... his luck had to be something of godly.

As her eyes met his again, he felt a small pap punch the ribcage of his chest, his neutral expression doing an okay job at suppressing his strange feelings. As he felt her pull away suddenly, he felt a twinge of disappointment at the loss of touch. He hadn’t been touched like that in so long, he found himself unusually craving for it again. 

He shook his head aggressively at the thoughts, scolding himself for thinking such things and wanting such things from someone as great as her. He didn’t even deserve to be graced by the sight of her, let alone be touched by her. This was temporary, your luck is what granted you this, don’t get used to it; he told himself. 

He put on a small smile, completely unsuiting for the next words he was about to say, “You don’t have to apologize to trash like me, it was my luck’s fault in the first place, my bad.” He scratched the back of his neck instinctually, eyes glazing over her nervous form. 

“If it makes you feel better about having to touch the garbage I am, you can get me to do your laundry..! You can tell me to do anything; it would truly be an honour to do absolutely anything for an ultimate as great as you!” He felt himself get a bit excited, having to wrap his arms around him at the thought of helping her, an ultimate, in any way she wanted. He could contribute to hope that way! Maybe then his worthless life wouldn’t be so worthless. ... Of course, if she’d even let him in the first place. 

Nagito felt his smile twitch as he found a small part of himself wanting her to say yes, for a reason other than hope. For her to just stay a little longer with him. He felt guilt settle in his stomach for thinking such a thing, arms tightening around himself.

SU/Lovecraft au

N/A: Not sure what to say here, I have this idea of Zaorva doing what Rose did, except she didn´t get pregnant or anything like that, the truth is...her death did cause panic among the others, outer gods, because if someone of higher rank as her can be killed...then what´s the next step? I also see the Outer Gods as sort the Greek Gods(the betrayal, occasional incest and then back at the dinner table, no consequences) and FUCK Lovecraft!!

If Kitty can pinpoint when her life starts to change the answer would be in her first leading mission in Japan, Nagano. The townsfolks are being attacked by deformed and mutated creatures akin to a demonic bunny with no eyes and a big mouth.

Kitty creates a crystal blue shield and this makes the creatures go after her. Her team, Piotr, Boom-Boom and Morph hurdle together as they wait for a plan, what Kitty did should have shocked after all.

The creature starts to bang his mighty fist on the shield causing pain for himself until his loud scream suddenly does not seem angry.

"Hey!" Kitty calls out for the what seems to be the leader who seems to respond to Kitty and only Kitty " let´s talk, why are you attacking the city and its citizen?"

The creature has no ability to speak but as putting his claws on the shield, the mutated creature starts to tell their story. They are called the Elder Bairns, they were created by a Goddess who put on this land and give to them, all they want is to slepp...as they already feast...however, the humans destroyed their home in order to create a pathway.

Kitty opens her eyes and speaks firmly. Like a mother should with her children.

"If I fix this, you promise to leave the townsfolk alone?" Kitty asked and the Elder Bairns promised as all they want is to sleep if that´s what Kitty truly wishes they won´t harm any human as long they leave them alone.

Kitty uses her magic and the pathway is disbanded as the Elder Bairns have their home back.

It was easier to convince mutated bunnies to follow an order than humans as they have problems to deal with and of course, no one takes kindly to Kitty talking so friendly to monsters that devoured humans like it was nothing.

"Who is this?" Kitty asked a bit rudely as she knows every mutant that is associated with the X-men and she knows this story that Ororo is telling, however, there´s no version with a man called Kurt.

Kitty looks into his eyes and summons the soulsword to cut Kurt, nothing happens, except that Ororo is now angry at Kitty and even though she is a grown up woman...Storm has no qualms in grounding her.

"I´m sorry about that, she usually is not like that, you know that Kitty is such a sweetie person," Ororo says now confused.

"And...how is our Kitten? How long has she play with magic?"

Kitty didn´t get any favours by questioning Kurt´s existence, therefore, the woman decides to play this game and apologise to Kurt saying it was a crazy mission and of course, she remembers good old Kurt.

The man does not seem to attack any of the X-men. As normally he is just...there. Sometimes asking questions behind Kitty´s back about her powers.

(It does not go unnoticed how everyone seems to cater his demands, even Jean who dislike helping, seems extra helpful to the point she even works with Rogue if that would please this Kurt)

Only when Kitty touches and concentrates hard enough, she seems to manage to break Ororo, Scott and Rogue from this spell as they believe in her.

"Shadow King?" Rogue suggested readily to take her glove out.

"No...I think it is someone else" Scott said and Kitty agrees.

Suddenly, the X-men starts to feel changes(all that didn´t side with Kitty) Jubilee becames a vampire, Beast goes insane talking about spirals and Jean gets quiter and quieter.

Logan was not forgotten by this madness as the man starts to think he is a real animal, not in the sense of being a rustic man, in the sense of being a real animal. Ironically or not, the man got shot by a hunter thinking he really got a wild animal and the wound didn´t heal as it should.

Kurt, meanwhile, merely stays in the mansion watching and taking notes as Kitty uses the shield once again.

Mr and Mrs Pryde are used by this point to have people to talk with journalists as their only daughter is a celebrity now. By this point, they know what to answer and what to not answer.

So, when Jennifer Goodwill shows up, the Prydes know what to say, the woman with her blonde hair and white skin makes questions about Kitty, nothing unusual and the Pryde saw no problem in answer all of them.

"She is a miracle" Mrs Pryde replied fondly "you see, I did get a grave form of cancer and I was supposed to die, however, the Stark industries along with Doctor Banner, a cure was created with dire consequences... I wasn´t supposed to be pregant...and yet, here is our Kitty"

"That´s a quite story"Jennifer replied.

"When Kitty was born" her father stated "she did born with intense blue eyes, crystal blue, but now...they are just brown like us"

"Oh, that´s interesting"

Lilandra is a fair queen if nothing else, so, when Kitty asked for help, she saw no problem in giving information as long Xavier is out of the picture(he too is quiet, no, gone and no one has the mind to worry about it now)

"This creature is named Kurt, a fake name, and I know he uses masks, I was wondering if you know who this person may be and how we get rid of it" Kitty stated and Lilandra hummed for a moment until she askes.

"Can you tell me how he really looks like? Maybe is a Luntranox, they love to play this prank" Lilandra suggested and Kitty did mention, or try to, how is Kurt´s real form...Lilandra cut the transmission right there and all the others closer to Kitty step away in fear.

"Sugah...A piece of advice, never repeats how he looks like" Rogue said and she is now trying to call back to Lilandra.

One day, Kitty realizes she is not in her bed nor in her room or the mansion. She is elsewhere, drifting in the space and time("I hate the space, is cold, silent and no one can hear you scream") until Kitty realizes that she is not alone. She is in some sort of space castle.

The doors are huge and small, nothing makes sense, though maybe it wasn´t to make sense. She is now in a room, a throne is easily spotted as the doors open with great fanfare and Kitty has the right mind to hide.

Is him...Of course is him. In his real form.

"Why do you hide away from me?" Kurt´s tone is sombre and Kitty panics until he adds "My Belasco, I called you here to talk and not to play hide and seek"

And she saw Belasco, bowing to this Kurt and does not dare to look at his real form.

"How are the dire wraths?" Kurt asked a bit regal and cold and Belasco merely shivers and that is enough(more than enough) to make Kitty feels fear. If Belasco is afraid of him...This creature is another league of its own.

"They are ready as you wish"

"Good, you did make a mistake with me, once, and you will not want to repeat the same mistake, Am I clear?" the creature speaks and only now Kitty notices how his voice rings through the place.

"Of course"

"I want to see this planet destroyed, I want it gone, " the creature speaks full of malice "if you fail me, again, I will found a new use for you, my Belasco and you won´t like it"

Belasco is dismissed and vanish. Kitty watches as the creature now looks to a pink bubble and puts his hand(tentacle to be exact) to cover his eyes as he begins to cry.

"Zaorva" the word was spoken as it is sacred and the pink bubble remains where it is.

Kitty somehow is back to her own bed. Degusting what she saw and no one ever saw him crying.

"You are a very interesting human" Kurt once speak as they are in a cornfield. Kitty is trying to dialogue with an Outer God, Nyarlathotep, to spare this planet. "I'll give that, but, nothing will prevent me to see this planet gone forever"

"But...wasn´t that a planet Zaorva created?" kitty reasoned with him "Don´t you want to spare for her sake?"

"This was the planet where she was killed!" Kurt scream angrily "it does not deserve compassion or mercy,  and how do you know about Zaorva?"

"I ...just know, but, if you are dead set in destroying this planet, I´ll stop you"

("I´m dead set in protecting this planet, Nyarlathotep" it causes a flashback and Kurt can´t believe he remembers this memory because of a human)

"I know you will, but Katzchen, I´m the crawling God of Chaos and I´ll get my wish, but my offer remains, you are interesting ...Human, I have no problem in spare you. You can learn many things outside this planet"

"Pass," Kitty said and Kurt look at the west and a smile plays on his face, his mask, as a huge explosion of fire caught Kitty´s attention.

"The Pheonix has wakened, Katzchen, my offer still remains as you...are interesting," Kurt said as Kitty goes to the where the fire starts.

"I´m life, I´m the force. I´m Pheonix" Jean or what used to be Jean scream to the bodies on the ground. Kitty arrives in the scene only to see her friends almost dead on the ground as Pheonix is gleefully to see Kitty Pryde.

"Finally, after all those centuries, we´ll finally resolve our conflict, Zaorva" Pheonix points at Kitty who is confused but in position to attack.

"I´m not Zaorva, I´m Kitty Pryde"

Both women clashes against each other, fire and water as cliche as it sounds. Fire against Kitty´s magic. Pheonix seems to laugh at the fight and not caring for the casualties.

"I must say, while your new body is strange, you still remain the same, I´ll want to defeat you," Pheonix said, "Zaorva"

"I´m not Zaorva" Kitty declares with her crystal blue eyes shining as she now has the upper hand and is making the Pheonix back down, losing the ground, Pheonix decides to leave to fight another day, after all, she got a new body today.

"My name is Kitty Pryde...I´m not Zaorva," Kitty said to no one and suddenly all the other X-men starts to move and rose from the ground.

Take me back to the night we met .0

The next morning I did my fair share of traslating texts (I’m a linguist) and finished up after midday to catch the bus out of town to spend the rest of the weekend at my family lake home. During the one hour ride I checked my insta multiple times (like people check the fridge) to see if maybe D had posted anything, even a story. I had liked a couple of his posts that same morning. I felt oddly drawn to him, this wouldn’t be the first time a boy had gotten my attention, but this was a boy I knew almost nothing about. hence odd.

The day with family was nothing out of the ordinary, we did some planting, some watering, I took a wonderful long walk along the lake, breathed in that late spring merky lake water and felt in place. It was around dinner time, when I was sitting down on the cold sandy lake shore staring into the cold water thinking about what this coming summer may bring, that my phone notified me that I have recieved a DM, from no other than my new-made friend.

I panic. A lot. My hands get sweaty and shaky. My heart races. And since my blood pressure is already low, it drops even lower and as my head starts to spin everything tends to go black as I feel like I am about to pass out. So now yall know just how I felt as a reaction to that text I recieved. It was a hello and a thank you to me liking D’s posts. I wasn’t sure how to react, can’t just say “oh, don’t mention it”, (by the way - I also overthink. Overthink everything). And as I was nervously trembling my thumb over the keyboard, he texted again - how’s it going, whachu up to. I am that much of a weirdo, that it took me about 20 minutes to get myself together to reply to that little message! God help me. After that, everything seemed so much easier. It’s as if we’ve been chatting for ages, like we knew each other. We hit the keys back and forth until well after midnight, just finding out everything about each other. Movies to recommend, music that is life, flavored tobacco etc. I ended up passing out at some point and kind of left him hanging, to which he waited for an hour, and bid me good night. The next morning I felt stink that I passed out without warning, so I sent a few random messages, so that when he woke up - we’d have something to go on.

It was just after lunch time, while we were packing up for the long drive home that D replied. My hands were kind of busy so I took my time with getting back to him, which I wish I hadn’t. D figured I was preoccupied, so after a few texts, he sent a voice message asking if I were keen to have coffee later today, hinting that it would be a lot easier to have this conversation in person. I don’t think I need to mention how nervously I agreed to have coffee with him. And after 3 hours of washing the smell of burnt wood, old leafs and paint off me, after putting on a full face of make up, then washing it off cause it was waaaaaaaaaay too much, and doing it all over again - I felt like I was ready to have coffee.

We met at a coffee palace in an atrium of a near by hotel. Me being me, too resposible to be late EVER, arrived early. I had been sitting down with my tea reading from my phone when D walked in. In the few moments while he looked around to find me, hung his coat and ordered a coffee, I got a decent look at him, properly. D wasn’t much taller than me, I’d say we were about the same height. His dark, near black hair was streaked with natures highlights, at the young age of just 22 his head was was flowing with grey hairs. To be fair, much like mine, but I felt the pressure of society to cover that up in order to avoid questions of why I had so much grey hair while being only 26. I couldn’t tell much about his physique due to a baggy sweater and straight cut jeans. As D sat down and we started talking, I got a good look at his eyes. They were a mixture of colors I had yet not witnessed. Much like hazel, but darker, a lot more mahogany in his iris. But when the setting sun which lit up the atrium hit the top of the building behind my back and shined into his face, I saw a million emerald sparks that had settled all around the hazelhunt iris. They were overshined by the amber streaks that made his iris look like a golden sky of constelations, as for the every jade spot, a golden line would lead from there, to another one. I must’ve dazed off and had began to stare as I noticed that D was now quietly checking out my appearance, which must’ve made me blush like a mad woman since he smiled from ear to ear, and said that he was just mirroing me. Now that might sound awkward, but I suddenly felt right in place, as if I hadn’t been blushing cause D had caught me staring. In place, like there was nothing wrong with me getting a closer look at him. And I knew D felt the same, well, cause he told me that there was nothing wrong with him noticing that I too have oddly colored eyes, that my freckles don’t settle much over my face other than my nose, but they are well spread over my neck, collar bone and shoulders, like stars. Now that one made me blush.

We talked, a lot, a few hours worth, about everything. The tea had been refilled and there was a few origami roses made from table tissues. It was almost dark, the sun was barely getting through the tall buildings which this town was made of, when D offered that we take a walk down a few blocks from said hotel to the place where we had met, the place where he no longer worked but is always welcomed at, and smoke a delighful sheesha - LBB. That sounded fantastic. A lovely way to end an evening, a weekend. I’m saying the word end as if this person wasn’t to stay in my life. As if he wouldn’t occupy my mind for the next year and a half (so far) and that I wouldn’t go a single day without thinking of him. As if I wouldn’t grown to hate him at moments but feel the biggest relief when I would see him and wouldn’t be able to help myself but to smile when he was around.

The walk didn’t take long thankfully as it had gotten rather chilly outside and my leather jacket wasn’t doing a great job at keeping me cozy anymore. I shared my ear buds and we listened to my infinte playlist as we continued to talk about random things. At LBB we met up with O and M and sat down for an evening filled with sheesha and Monopoly (which I hate but we were short on entertainment). I realised that the clock had stricked after mid night only when O reminded me that we were to start work earlier on Mondays due to her physical therapy after a minor bike incident she had while in Bali. M began to pack up the game as her boyfriend (N) arrived to chill a little and then drive her home. I looked at D and he mentioned that time does fly when you’re enjoying yourself, and with a suddent blast of confidence I said (not asked) - “walk me home”. With my peripheral vision I saw how O’s facial expression changed in a smile of surprise to a nod of being impressed, she hadn’t seen me flirt before and knew how shy and socialy awkward I can be.

As we stepped outside, O kissed me goodnight and got into her cab, D said that we were taking a different route this time, a longer one. I asked if that was a good idea due to the temperature taking quite a drop and how I wasn’t dressed appropriately for a long walk. D told me not to worry, he said he’ keep me warm. As he took my hand I felt his palm tremor, his hand was so warm but rough skinned yet oddly comforting - “your hands are so cold, it’s insane!”. Having low blood pressure, being anemic and it being cold outside was a triple threat, but with my newly found blast of confidence I quickly remembered a witty come back “they’re not half as cold as just under oxygenated” (yes I do enjoy The Fault in Our Stars). D’s smile grew fondly as he took a step towards the garth’s and nodded his head in the direction of the street lit alleys, as if asking me to follow him. I think at that point it hit me - this was a date, and oh boy was I happy about it. As we walked towards my house we discussed the causes of anemia and my witty remarks about how not everyone was given the gift of having a 1000 degree body temperature, seriously, this guy was like his own sun. And the topic of being single came up too. Not one I favor to discuss, but I layed all my cards out in front of him - make sure that it was all on the table and so he knew that I don’t enjoy letting people in, making sure he knows that goodbyes are hard on me.

Turned out M lived only a few blocks away from me since D mentioned that he felt like I was taking him to her place as we got closer to mine. The conversation was growing quiter as we reached the entrance of my apartment buidling and his hand had gotten hotter as well as mine sweatier (face palm). We both knew that this date was bound to come to an end at some point, but neither of us had wanted that point to any time soon. We stood at the door, I jangled my keys trying to not look at him because I didn’t know what would come next. I mean I knew what I wanted to come next, but plans don’t always coexist in seperate minds. To be honest I found myself at that rare moment when my mind drew a complete blank. Nothing, not even a tumbleweed. D was still holding my hand, and was at an arms reach when he took a step closer towards me turning that distance nonexistant. I nervously looked up and met his stare. I could tell D was slightly worried about what was to come also, but trust me, not like I was. We looked at each other a few seconds as he told me that he’s really like to kiss me right now, followed by permission to do so, asking me - ‘what do you think about that”. “I find myself not thinking at all right now” I replied honestly. D leaned his head forward, took my face into his hands and our lips locked. I’m not gonna say it was magical. That would be the understatement of the century. My lips were bigger, much bigger than his, so with every lock we made I got to feel every chap in his dry lips, every curve his tongue made when he’d try to lick his own lips in the quick betweens of head movements. His left hand still holding my face and his right hand had slowly moved down my neck, over my shoulder and under my arm to my weist and pushing my torso into his. I in return had my left hand on his shoulder, sinking my fingers into it as if terrified that at any moment he would dissappear. My right hand was on the back of his neck at the contour of the hair line and bare skin. Gently running my fingers upwards into his short hair, clenching all I could in a fist and pushing my face into his.

I don’t know how long we were kissing in front of the entrance but it must have been a while since the motion detector light went off and we were standing in complete darkness when D’s phone had rung and interrupted us. He pulled his face away, and removed his left hand from my face to get his phone, whilst keeping him right hand on my weist, as if to let me know that we were not done here. It was M, calling to inform him that while she was closing up, she had found his back pack and if he would like her to drop it off or if he’d prefer the keys to the lounge so that he can later pick it up himself. He said that he’d prefer the keys due to not being ready to go home quiet yet. D winked at as he said that last bit and pulled me closer. I blushed knowing that this not ending just yet and that there may be more to come. We held each other and talked for the next 5 to 7 minutes while waiting for M and N to drive up and hand D the keys to LBB. We saw them pull into the parking lot and as M hopped out and walked towards us I could tell she was feeling at least slightly excited. Her big brown eyes were lit with sparks and her large nude colored lips were moving in in a smirk, the girl knew she had interrupted something juicy. We exchanged pleasantries as she handed over the keys and wished us a “most sensible” night and laughed as she hugged me goodbye. As D and I watched them drive off into the night, we giggled like we were 15 and had just been caught by the school staff while making out behind the bleachers or something. I said that I can not invite him inside my apartment as I do not live alone, but we could at least move this party to the stairs in the entrance hall way. So we did.

My problem is , i lost my wallet and it had my social securtity card in it, so i have to wait 2 weeks to get it in the mail. I was gonig to get my license because i just bought a car but now i cannot get the reguistration and title without insurance under my name. I put my car under my dad's name only and now the courthouse says that i must have it under my name so that is already 65.00 down the drain, next i call up more insurance places and they are charging me 125.00 down then 65-70 a month.
