as a kid, his favourite stories were of pirates.

he sends weekly emails to his brothers called ‘ulstead uppity updates’ (UUU ; the ‘triple U’). these detail everything happening in royal meetings, including minutes, latest decisions, and any proposals the brothers should look over.

he bakes a lot, and is very good at decorating cupcakes and cakes. he likes to bake pies. everything he makes in excess is given to his neighbours, or to passers-by, or to local orphanages and shelters.

his two cats: vienna (the tortoiseshell) and antoinette (a black cat). both of them are rescue cats.

you’ll see him biking around with a cat backpack on sometimes. if you wave, he’ll ring the little bike bell and smile !!

he likes to listen to music in the open, not through headphones. so he usually only plays it freely in his home. he loves music up to the early 2010s. after that it is a void.

kit charmont was raised in ulstead, france with his two little brothers (florian & philip), and their mother and father (king hubert)

in his teens:

kit stayed mainly within ulstead, finishing all his relevant studies.

not really a party animal, not many close friends, was known as a very polite kid but kind of quiet and kept to himself

literally the one who like stays at home doing homework for the next school year.

smartest kid in school, valedictorian, all of that. started learning languages at this time, president of the academic decathlon, hehe

in his twenties:

kit studied his undergraduate degree in arts, while also commencing more rigorous royal studies to complement his duties.

he also began training with the royal army and navy

it’s within this decade that his mother dies.

in his 20s-30s:

kit began to want more from life. always prepared, and very self-aware, he knew that in order to be the king/brother/son that his family needed, then he needed to make sure he was okay.

his late 20s/early 30s was a time of self-reflection and soul-searching. he started to travel alongside his royal duties, learning as much as he could of the world and ‘living’ as much as he could before he stayed permanently within ulstead’s borders.

his travels took him all over the world, but he would not have stayed for more than 2 weeks somewhere before he came back to ulstead.

he knew his father was preparing to pass the crown to him soon, and he wanted to be ready.

marriage ???? no !!!

he finished his travels around age 34. but just because he stopped travelling, it didn’t mean he stopped learning. this man is the literal definition of ‘lifelong learning’. much to his father’s chagrin, he was still balancing time between princely duties and his personal passions. but no one could say that the royal court ever suffered, because kit was always on time and did his homework, providing substantial discussion etc.

he got along really well with his father, until it came to the marriage thing.

he had to marry ??? what why ??? so that someone could take care of him ??? not right now ://

but then ella ....

you know the story. the beautiful maiden in the gorgeous dress, attending the royal ball in ulstead. no one knows who she is, but look! she’s caught the crown prince’s eye. who was she!

heart-eyes. heart-eyes EVERYWHERE.

he’s not sure he fell in love, but he had never been more ready to fall in love than at that moment. he would have leapt into love for her.

BUT THEN MALEFICENT #$%^$

she knows what she did !!!! >:(((

now the charmonts are in elias.

kit was the last one to leave ulstead. he understood the need to protect his brothers, but he couldn’t fathom why his father wanted him to escape too. who would be left to protect their kingdom? who would be the one to come up with a plan? his father’s aging advisors? that snivelly Grand Duke??

and by last to leave, i mean he left a few days after his brothers. he fought tooth and nail with his father that he should stay. tried every trick in the book. but eventually, he surrendered to his father’s desperation.

he’s been at elias now for at least a 1.5 years. he was there for the big battle with hades and maleficent (let’s just say he played a super small role and didn’t do much other than general fighting).

he lives in an apartment all by himself. and two cats: vienna & antoinette. they have lil cat backpacks.

he has no horse :(( he has a car here, but mainly rides his bike around elias.

he spends his days doing a ‘work from home’ situation, still attending royal meetings and fulfilling his duties. things have recently become more difficult due to his father’s exhausted state. it’s hard to be semi-king of your kingdom when you’re an ocean away.

other things he does in elias:

volunteers time with different organisations, such as orphanages, homeless shelters, and fundraising events

he started the ‘chatty cafe’ in the community centre. on tuesday and thursday afternoons, you get to just sit and chat about anything, and there’s free coffee, tea, and snacks. kit is always there, without fail, to chat to anyone who needs it.

bit of a good samaritan around elias, just known for doing nice things like helping someone with their groceries, paying for the items of the people in the queue, getting a cat out of a tree hehe

[ MENTAL STATE ]

kit has always done very well with like self care and all that.

but being stuck in elias makes him restless. he’s not sure if he wants to make a life here. he’s got his cats, he’s got his hobbies, but it feels like the longest business trip in the world. and the worst part is, he’s not meant to act like a prince here.

they’re meant to be ‘in hiding’ technically, so he introduces himself as only ‘kit’. and it comes with its perks — he has to admit it’s a little freeing to now have that time he used to crave. the time to just be whoever he wanted to be. only it came a decade too late because he literally just got into the rhythm of being an almost-king in ulstead, and now he has to be .... HIDING ????

being in hiding from a witch, being kept away from his beloved home country .... this was NOT in his ten-year plan.

he’s so proud of being a prince, he loves his kingdom so much. WHY CAN’T HE JUST GO HOME !!!!!

on the family front: he and florian are tense atm (have been for a few years now), and ... kit doesn’t know how to fix it :((

he wants to learn more about magic, or at least request the help and assistance of magic-users who could know something to combat/defend against maleficent

neighbours : want some free food ? need some pet-sitting done ? nervous to talk to the land-lord and need some help ? kit is your guy. his apartment building is a bit ‘posh’ and on the rich side.

chatty cafe : as explained above, the chatty cafe is a thing he started in the community centre. every tuesday and thursday afternoon he and other volunteers sit down and chat with anyone who needs it; there’s free tea, coffee, and snacks.

stranger in need, is a friend indeed : kit doesn’t shy away from asking if someone needs assistance. there’s very little he can’t do. study help? yes. language help? yes. assistance with navigating forms and paperwork? YES.

did someone say ... prince charming ? : similar to the above but more the ‘damsel in distress’ route hehe. here is literally prince charming. can end up hilarious, serious, dramatic, sad, you name it. not necessarily romantic. ( any gender !!! :3 )

you’ve got a friend in me : kit has never had ... uhh ... friends. the closest people to him are his brothers, and the captain of ulstead. he needs people that he interacts with as just himself, not as someone helping out or doing something. people he can chill with — and honestly, they need to make him chill.

Paring: Guitarist!Loki x Fem!Reader

Summary: Usually your days are boring, but not since this group have been coming in and brightening up your shifts. They have a little band together and gush about it as much as they can when you're serving them. You can feel some chemistry with Loki, and start talking with him more and more once he's frequenting the restaurant alone.One day, finally, Loki—the bands (hot) guitarist—invites you to one of their shows on your day off. And you're not going to turn him down, are you?

The rest of the week seemed to drag on as you waited for your days off to come. Besides working, trying to be a normal human being as you work these horrendously long shifts, you try to keep your mind off of the fact Loki almost wrote down it’s a date.

It was a date that was intended not to seem like one, you assumed.

How the fuck do you dress for that?

“I mean,” Helen starts, on your phone via FaceTime call the day of the not-date-date. “Preferably something cute, but not obviously screaming it’s a date fit.”

“What the hell does that mean?” You question loudly from your closet. “Also, did we agree on the ripped skinny jeans?”

“Yes we did!” She exclaims. “And you’ll understand that when you’re older and get more dates.”

“We are the same age, Helen.”

The silence that fell over the two of you was comfortable before Helen starting laughing. “Whatever. So, ripped jeans. What shirt options do we have?”

“Uh,” you start, going through your shirts in the closet. “Band tees? A few tanktops, I got this cute crop top a few nights ago—“

“Do you have that one you wore out for drinks with Isaac and I a few months ago?”

“What one? The REO Speedwagon one?”

Helen was silent before huffing, waving a single hand around. “Whatever one has all those pre-made cuts and holes and shit.”

“Ah, the Metallica one,” you answer. “I’ve got it, yeah.”

“That,” Helen replies. “Wear that! It makes you look hot.”

You smile sheepishly, fishing through more shirts to find what you’re both talking about. You’ve been digging for almost an hour trying to find a decent outfit.

It may not be a date, but you want to at least look good enough to actually be asked on one, to your face.

“Did you and Henry have a good date night last night?” You ask after finding your shirt and throwing it on over your black bralette.

“Yeah! It was nice, we went to this karaoke bar. He’s a horrific singer, obviously.”

You laughed, walking over to your bed where your jeans lay. “Don’t hurt his heart by saying that, he seems like a good kid.”

“He is! He just can’t sing for fuck all.”

The two of you share laughter as you pull your jeans on so you can both judge the final outfit before deciding on it. “I’m telling him you said that the next time I see him.”

“You bitch!”

“I’ll be sure he pelts books at you, bestie,” you say, letting your voice rise in volume for dramatics as you grab your phone to peek up in the view finder, cooing when you see Helen’s dog in her shot. “Ooh my god! Is that Blackjack?”

“No, it’s some random plush I got at this thrift store—”

“Hi Blackjack!” You exclaim excitedly, ignoring Helen’s words completely before squealing quietly when he looks at the camera. “Hi, buddy! How are you? Is momma being a meanie?”

“Hey! Don’t brainwash my kid!” Helen whines, trying to cover Blackjack’s eyes from her phone. But he’s still getting excited to see your face.

“Blackjack, do you wanna stay with me while your momma gets it on with the bookstore worker?” You coo in an even more annoying tone over the phone as you walk over to your full length mirror.

“His momma is about ready to hang up on her friend if she’s gonna throw her under the bus like this,” Helen says, huffing. You laugh fondly, finally relenting as Blackjack replies with a little bark.

“I’m sorry, it’s just fun to do that.”

“If you and Loki end up getting together and get a pet for a child, I’m making your life hell.”

You find your face heating up at her words and opt to switch the camera around to show your mostly completely outfit in your mirror.

“Anyways,” you say, clearing your throat, “what do we think? Does this work?”

“Oh, yes,” Helen purrs through the phone. You laugh at her reaction, doing little poses which only entices her to cheer more. “I would call this date if I were him. You’re hot.”

“And you’re bisexual, of course you would say that.”

“Says you. You know you’re looking in a mirror, right? Bisexual help bisexual—“

You cut her off by laughing. “I’m a failed bisexual, no sex has shown attraction to me in years, and even then I couldn’t seem to make a move.”

“Hey, you still tried your best! It’s alright, now you’ve got this hot guitarist coming for you,” Helen explains as you flip the camera on your phone back to your face. “And, hey. If it works out? Imagine the tour sex—“

“Helen!”

“What! I know you haven’t ever, but still! I know what’s in those bedside drawers!”

You’re trying to hold back your laughter as you land back on your bed, head on your pillows as you keep your outfit on for the show. “Yeah, yeah, moving on.”

“For now, sure,” Helen finishes, chuckling at your reply. The two of you relax in comfortable silence. Occasionally Blackjack makes some snoring noises or small, tiny barks.

“What if tonight sucks? The band could be shit.”

“I don’t think it would be if they got a pub to basically have them perform on Saturdays. And if the guitarist is hot, wouldn’t you think the rest of ’em are?”

“Compelling argument.” You take a breath before letting out a small sigh. “Their vocalist is hot.”

“Oh?” Helen perks up, tilting her head. “Which was that at your booth?”

“The woman in the corner, Brunn.”

“That’s….so true.”

You snort, sitting up suddenly. “You literally saw her once or twice, Helen.”

“Still hot!”

“Okay, okay, I gotta get my stuff and go if I wanna be on time, we can argue over their hotness as a band later.”

Helen whines dramatically on her end as you watch her and her dog fondly start to whine together. You’re thankful for Helen, especially at this moment. You don’t think you could go to anyone else about all of this, and you’re happy she’s just here with you in it.

“I love you.”

Helen coos. “I love you too! Now go kiss hot guitar man.”

“Literally a not-first-date-date but okay,” you quip, a wide smile on your face before you’re waving through the screen and saying goodbye properly, talking in puppy-speak for Blackjack before the FaceTime call is over, and you’re stuck looking at yourself in the viewfinder of your phone’s app.

You sigh to yourself before closing the app and tossing your phone on the bed next to you. In your head, you’re figuring out the best route to get to the pub The Revengers were going to be at, all while spontaneously deciding to add a little makeup to your look. It was really only some light eye makeup, and a tiny, tiny dash of red lipstick just to have more than black with the rest of your outfit.

However, this made you have to rush to get your shoes on, as well as grabbing your keys and wallet so you could leave your bag at home. Thankfully, traffic was light as you listened to your phone guiding you through the streets, and the only problem you had was finding the extra parking for The Queen’s Pub in the back lot. You didn’t expect the pub to be so packed.

But it was almost out of spots. And it was just turning 6.

Maybe The Revengers wouldn’t be bad as your anxiety thought it would be.

Walking into Queen’s Pub is…nice. It’s got a nice industrial vibe to it, high ceilings with exposed scaffoldings and ventilation pipes, tables scattered around the spacious ballroom-like floor. The front half has lost a good chunk of tables and seats though, due to the main stage that’s farther into the building to give a makeshift pit as if it were a proper concert venue.

To your left as you make your way in, past a small pod of people near the entryway, is an expansive bar. It’s well lit with LEDs it seems, and it looks like they have every liquor known to man.

“Hi! Welcome in!” One of the younger bartenders exclaims as they shake a drink to perfection. You smile and nod their way, just now realizing how many people were actually inside.

The cars didn’t do it justice.

All the seats were occupied, and people were standing together in small pods in the makeshift pit, around the edges of the stage. The energy was electric, and you knew everyone was here for the band that was due to play here soon.

You elect to bypass the bar for now, and make your way to the front to get a good spot to watch the band. Loki said to be here at 6 sharp, so you’re unsure if that means they’re to play soon or not.

Since everyone is just simply chatting and bouncing around to conversation, you’re basically at the edge of the stage, which you found pretty cool. And, at least Loki will know you didn’t dip. From here you noticed the front drum had the bands name on it, The Revengers.

The decal is centered, but the word the is positioned more to the left, and revengers is leaning more to the right, the R just under the final E in the word before it. It’s an interesting choice, and a pretty decent quality decal from what you can see.

You decide to pull your eyes away from the drum and the stage, taking in the rest of the pub as you stand straight. You don’t want to magically make eye contact with anyone that happens to roam on the stage prior to this. You may just lose your mind with embarrassment.

Even though the pub is alive with chatter, you still hear what sounds like tuning from a bass and a guitar. You could only think that’s Loki and Bruce, it’s blatantly obvious considering the line up of the band.

Just as you tried to listen in to whatever else was happening backstage, you noticed a large wall towards where more seating was at a slightly lower level that as filled with some band memorabilia. Granted, you didn’t know what band or bands, but you make a mental note to look at it just as the amps hum to life, gaining your attention as well as the rest of the pub goers.

You’ve been to a few concerts, but never this close, nor this exciting for more than just you.

Everyone seems to know that cue, and come to the makeshift floor as a tall older man with a head full of greying curls come on stage with a wireless microphone.

“Hello folks!” He says happily into the microphone, not at all getting any interference from the everything that’s on the stage. “How’re we doing tonight?”

You cheer with the rest of the people, a smile working its way onto your face out of excitement.

“Good, good,” he continues, laughing. “Well, it’s Saturday, and we’ve got some good bands up tonight. But of course, it wouldn’t be a Saturday without The Revengers, now would it?”

Everyone around you cheers a little louder, and you can’t help but continue to cheer with them as this man warms the crowd up. He cheers with everyone, holding the mic away from his mouth before he’s turning to look back stage and laugh again, the mic going back to his mouth.

“Right! Okay, well. I won’t keep them any longer, they’re getting antsy back there. Ladies and gentlemen, Queen’s Pub is proud to present, The Revengers!”

You can’t describe the uproar the audience has once the man is off the stage once his microphone is placed on it’s stand and he’s walking to the wings of the stage, clapping Thor on the shoulder as he walks by. They’re all glowing. Not only from the stage lights, but their smiles are ginormous.

You should have attended a concert a lot sooner. Because seeing all four of The Revengers like this? It genuinely makes your heart swell, you can just tell how much they love this.

And they should. You hear how many people love them in this packed pub right now.

“Good evenin’ everybody,” Brunn says into the mic as everyone calms down. “Nice to see you’re not just here for Brian and his alcohol.”

“We’re here for that too!” A random voice in the audience yells that causes more laughter to erupt both from the audience and Brunn.

“Well, same here.” Brunn’s trying to find the person, as if she’ll know who it is before entirely giving up when Loki leans close to her and starts muttering as his hands plug in his guitar to his set amp perfectly without even looking.

Your eyes are immediately settled on him. He’s basically in front of you anyways, it’s hard to not notice anything. You spot his nails first and foremost, they’re painted. It looks like black polish, but you notice a twinge of another color when the lights hit it. You’ll have to ask when you see him after their set.

After that, it’s all downhill for you and your crush from there. He’s got the tightest pair of skinny jeans on that you see between him and his instrument as he and Brunn laugh before he’s walking back to his side of the stage. Paired with that, he’s got on the tightest tank top possible, his biceps seem to be bulging slightly, and you’re thankful that you haven’t got a drink on you right now because you would have choked on it.

Loki’s….god.

“So, we’re gonna start with a little cover from a little band called Queen, because Brian won’t shut up about it,” Brunn says, pausing only to let the cheering go up again before gaining control of the crowd, “I know I know! We love Revengers singing Queen, I know. After that we’ll just sing some new stuff we’ve been working on and then Cheerful Rangers will take good care of you all about an hour after you’ve all sobered up from us. Alright?”

Brunn had to love the audience reaction. She eggs them on like it’s her job. Which, in a way it is between her day shifts at some clothing store.

“Okay! Let’s go!”

Before the audience could react properly, Loki was already starting to play, expertly plucking the beginning to the unfamiliar song while Brunn turns around to converse with Thor quickly.

You wish you had more eyes than you do. The Revengers on stage as a group is like a well oiled machine. You don’t even know the song they’re playing at the moment, but they add their own spins on it, solos that sound longer than normal, and they’re just having fun.

It’s refreshing to see, and this is only the first song of the night.

Sure, it’s a song by Queen, but The Revengers claim it all as their own, just for tonight. Your eyes move from Brunn to Loki several times before you’re looking at Bruce and Thor jamming together in their own little world. You could watch this literally all night.

And Loki? God, Loki was a sight. Loki always made it seem like he belonged in any place he walked into once he was comfortable, but here, on the stage, he just oozed confidence. He just seemed to only get hotter not only through the song, but their entire set.

His hands just glide along his guitar as if he doesn’t even need to think much about it, yet his face is a mix of concentration and..well, you don’t want to admit it to yourself, but: sex.

It’s like he’s trying to make this sexual, and it’s making your mind go nuts.

You’re too focused in on Loki and his playing enough to forget that this is a concert and they just finished a song, so everyone is cheering. Thankfully, it’s loud, so you’re quick to snap out of the trance Loki’s set you in to clap and cheer along.

The rest of the concert after the Queen song goes exactly like it did the first time around. You’re watching Loki solely as he’s playing, you’re staring at his fingers, occasionally his face as he tilts his head up to his microphone to add backing vocals which also contribute to making you a puddle.

If you weren’t taken by Loki earlier this week, you certainly fucking were now.

Their set doesn’t last as long as you’re wishing it would. By the time they finish off their final song of the night, you’ve worked up a sweat by dancing with the rest of the small group you’ve gotten acquainted with at the front. It’s only when Brunn thanks the crowd for even bothering to show up before she’s leaving the stage do you realize The Revengers are done for the night, but Loki, Bruce, and Thor play on together for a little longer.

It’s like you’re watching a jam session, the way Bruce and Loki come together to stand near Thor’s drums and play what just sounds right before they cut their instruments off at the perfect time within each other and they wave goodbye as you and the rest of the crowd go wild.

The cheering goes on for a sliver more than you expect it to, and keeps going as you try to fight through some of the people to finally make it to the bar. Truthfully, you could leave after seeing Loki. You really saw no other reason to be here, considering you only wanted to see The Revengers in action.

And boy did you.

Once you made it onto the barstool at the nearly empty bar, the bartender that greeted you when you first entered the establishment comes over.

“Hey! What can I get started for you tonight?”

“Hi, uh,” you pause, trying to think of something you’d like to drink before just taking a breath and sighing. “I’m not really too sure. Something with vodka, I know that much. What would you recommend?”

The bartender smiles and nods. “Don’t worry about it, I got you. Do you like grapefruit?”

“I have no idea, but I’m willing to try,” you respond with a smile. The bartender nods before they’re off and making your drink. Once you know you’re not going to be asked any questions, you turn and look at the entire pub.

It’s significantly less full now. It’s pretty obvious most people were here for The Revengers and them alone. And truthfully, even if you’re biased, you don’t blame them.

But still, you felt a little bad for however many bands there are after this.

“Did you have the uh,” a familiar voice asks from behind the bar, “I don’t remember the bloody name of this thing, but it’s got grapefruit in it?”

You turn around to be met with the grey haired man who introduced the band earlier in the evening. “Yeah! Yeah, that’s me.”

He smiles kindly at you and places your drink down in front of you. “Then here you are. I take it you had fun watching The Revengers.”

“Oh, absolutely,” you respond, laughing lightly before moving to take a sip of the drink from the rocks glass, enjoying the small sour taste from the drink before being hit with the salt that was on your lips from the rim. You clear your throat before speaking again. “I was told they’d be good, I didn’t anticipate just how good.”

“Really? They’re talked about at a lot of places around here,” he explains, shocked before leaning on the opposite end of the bar. “How did you hear about them?”

“Oh, uh, through their guitarist,” you explain, your face heating up just having to think about the performance you just watched literally inches away from your face. “Loki.”

“Oh!” He exclaims, standing straight before clapping his hands together, saying your name with confidence. You raise a brow.

“Yes? That’s me.” You take a slow sip, confused as to how this curly haired man knows your name.

“I’m Brian, the owner,” he—Brian—explains with a hand placed in the middle of his chest. “I understand that’s weird, and I apologize. Loki said you’d be coming and to put you on the tab.”

“Oh.” Yeah, oh is right. Loki put you on their tab? You’re damn near close to asking if you can just go ahead and pay for the damned drink before Loki’s suddenly here and jumping onto a stool next to you.

“Hey!” Loki exclaims once you’ve turned around to actually look at him, taking another sip of your drink. “You made it!”

“Of course I did!” You say after you’ve swallowed. You noticed that Brian had left the two of you, probably to go and get Loki a drink. “Why wouldn’t I come?”

“I was just worried you wouldn’t get the note on my receipt,” Loki explains, becoming a little shy before running a hand through his hair once or twice to keep it out of his face. He’s still visibly sweaty, but not as much as he was on stage.

You could honestly just stare at him all night, the longer you look at him, the more features you find yourself fixating on. Like his slightly smudged eyeliner that makes his eyes pop a little under the LEDs of the bar.

“Please, if Helen found it she would have told the entire restaurant I was going out to see a rockstar tonight. I assure you of that.”

“You know,” Loki starts with a boyish smile, looking at you head on. “I don’t doubt it.”

You hide how you’re swooning at his stupid face by taking another sip of your drink as you snort. Smacking your lips, you speak again. “She’s that predictable, huh?”

“It’s Helen,” Loki starts before Brian is back with a small glass filled with some amber looking liquid. “Thank you, Bri.”

“‘Course,” he replies. “I’ll talk with you about the show later, but the cover was amazing.”

Loki’s beaming, giving Brian a wide smile before he’s raising his glass in Bri’s direction as he walks back off to another end of the bar you don’t bother to twist and see. Loki smiling has you smiling.

“You guys were great, y’know,” you say softly, almost in awe of the man before you. “I’ve never seen a guitarist play that fast.”

“Then you don’t know many guitarists,” Loki quips gently, sipping his alcohol before chuckling. “Sorry, that sounds rude.”

“No, no, you’re right. I don’t normally pay attention that much, but you had me hooked since the first song.”

“Since the Queen song or everything after that?”

You pause, trying to find the words to reply before just taking a breath and chuckling: “yes.”

Loki laughs with you, taking another sip of his drink. “Well, that’s good to know. You should have came last week, we had Roger to sing something for us.”

“Roger?”

“Yeah, Roger’s the co-owner of The Queen’s Pub with Brian. They’ve been friends for years.”

“Ooh,” you nod in understanding, sipping your drink before licking at the salted rim again for a little kick. “And before I forget, can I just go ahead and pay you for putting me on your tab? Like, it’s super sweet of you to do that, but I can pay—“

“No, absolutely not,” Loki says with a playful stern tone. “Not happening.”

You pout at Loki, finally putting your drink down to arm up your hand that’s been holding the glass this whole time. “Loki..”

“I’m serious, it’s fine. Brian never lets us pay it anyways,” he explains with a chuckle, putting his glass down as well. “We’ve had it since the early days—before we even had a name, let alone songs we wrote on the napkins here, we started paying at first. But then Brian saw how much traffic comes in here, the people pay for our drinks themselves just by showing up.”

“So The Revengers gives Queen’s Pub recognition and notoriety.” You mean your statement to be a question, but you knew the answer on your own. Your smile only seems to grow, hearing more bits and pieces to sew together the story behind The Revengers. “That’s—“

“Smart,” Loki finishes for you. “I know. We’ve tried to have Brian let us pay regardless, but he’s a stubborn bastard. He tells us it’s not just ‘cause of that though. Says it’s a thank you for taking him back to his old days every Saturday night.”

You laugh with Loki this time, leaning against the backing of the bar stool. “I mean, must be nice then! Brian sounds like the best granddad a person could have.”

Loki laughs a little harder at your joke before taking his glass to swallow the final sip of his drink. “He can be, for sure. Other times, it’s almost like he’s our manager, which is weird, but we let him do it anyway.”

You snort, smiling as you listen to Loki continuing to ramble a bit more about the pub. It made your heart start beating tenfold just by how passionate and excited he was telling you just every little detail he possibly could about it. He really cared about this pub and everyone in it. You could tell just by his excited hand movements and the fond look on his face alone. And you couldn’t help but find him more endearing at this point in the night.

Somehow, an hour passes, and the next act plays. You stay at Loki’s side, both in the makeshift pit of the stage, and back at the bar for another round of drinks after Cheerful Rangers actually played an actually good gig—you hate to sound so negative, but you didn’t see it coming; especially when high schoolers romped out onto the stage.

That’s how the night goes, really. You and Loki going from bar to stage, eventually opting in to drink water after the third act of the night—some of the songs got you and Loki dancing together, and you’re back to sweating.

As someone who hasn’t had many first dates (many? Hell, you’ve only had one, and even then it wasn’t as glamorous as this), you genuinely didn’t want the night to end. But the lights on the stage come down as Brian finishes the night with a small speech about thanking people for coming out as per always, giving everyone a final cheer before everyone is cleaning up after themselves and going to their own respective tables to keep the night alive. You look to Loki, unsure of what this means for the two of you.

Are you leaving? Staying and chatting more over water? Sharing more little snacks Brian drops off with a joke about the tab?

“Hey,” Loki says a little louder than normal. He’d probably tried to get your attention before this. You turn to look at him.

“Hm?”

“I’ve gotta help pack stuff into Bruce’s car, do you want a quick tour backstage while I help out? See everyone again?”

You’re already nodding before you even properly process what you’ve been asked, Loki lacing your hands together firmly as he guides you around a few small pods of people who are still choosing to stand for the evening.

“Oh,” you voice suddenly, noticing the door just next to stage left. “Through here?”

Loki lets out a soft laugh, nodding. “Yeah. Did you not notice Brian use it?”

You feel your face heating up from embarrassment. “Shut up.”

This only causes Loki to laugh more and make your heart want to slam out of your chest and into Loki’s awaiting hands for him to finally claim it as his own.

Now, you realize, you may have had one too many sips of alcohol. Hopefully this backstage tour makes the slight fog get out of your brain.

Loki swings the door open, and tugs you by your hand to walk through the threshold first, still holding hands as he’s right behind you and starting to take lead down the cream painted hallway.

“So, all these doors we’re starting to pass are dressing rooms,” Loki explains once you’re both walking the same pace, his hand gesturing to some of the doors he’s talking about. “Bri keeps them maintained well, even if none of us use them.”

“Will you ever, do you think?” You question, eyes looking along the walls to see all the pictures covering the walls between the doors. In almost every frame is an autographed…something. You don’t know what some of them are. Some are ticket stubs, some are headshots. Some are even playbills from New York.

“Maybe? Not too sure if I’m honest.” Loki’s stopping you both at the end of the hall, head twisting from right to left. You follow in suit, noticing that to your right, there’s a hall that leads to a wide open door to the back parking lot, and the other side you can see Thor and Brunn chatting animatedly as they both use their arms to rewrap some wire.

“To your right is the technical loading bay,” Loki explains, turning left. “I’m sure that’s obvious.”

“A little,” you quip, giggling. “But it’s fine. I’m getting a tour, you’re required to tell me these things.”

“Very true,” Loki replies, chuckling himself. This hall to where Thor and Brunn are is much shorter, and here is where you notice the main backstage area.

“Finally!” Brunn announces before Loki can beat her from speaking. “There you two are! We’ve been waiting to see you all night!”

“You could have met us at the bar,” Loki fires back immediately, his playful tone evident as he gently pulls you between Brunn and Thor. “I’m giving a tour, I’ll grab the amps here in a sec.”

“You better, lover boy,” Brunn shouts as he pulls you away to the other side of the room as if it’s miles away.

You’re laughing at their interaction before Loki’s clearing his throat. “Anyway.”

“Yes, sorry, do go on,” you say, bringing your laughing down to a giggle.

“Main backstage area,” Loki continues, a smile never leaving his face as he lets your hand go to gesture wide to the room. Brunn finishes her bundle of wire perfectly and does a pose while Thor continues rolling his share of the wire, clueless to what’s even going on.

“Wow.”

“I know,” Loki replies excitedly. “Can be fun before shows. We have a tradition to do a little shot or two before heading out. It’s a good time. The ramps closer to where the actual stage is leads to the stage, obviously.”

“Fun as hell to ride the amps down, by the way,” Brunn cuts in, her wire bundle out of her hands and somewhere in the suit case near Thor. Now she’s grabbing another wire that’s just a pile on the floor to wrap again. “Just be sure you have someone to catch you—“

“There may be a hole behind the couch and we haven’t told Brian,” Bruce cuts in, smiling nervously from his confession. “We’ll tell when we have the money for the damage. So, keep this between us.”

You hold back any cackle you may have, giving everyone a thumbs up in the room before looking to Loki, noticing a hall behind you in your peripheral vision. “I assume there’s more dressing rooms back there?”

“Huh?” Loki whips around before he’s confirming your suspicion. “Yes! It’s the same as the other hall, the door however leads to the backrooms where storage is. Not at all like the fun way we just came in.”

“Boo,” you reply teasingly. “Could at least have something more fun.”

“Tell Brian that,” Loki replies. “He tries to keep a tight ship. Roger’s the fun one.”

“Why do I believe that?”

“Because Brian is a boring name,” Thor chimes, finishing his wire and knotting it off. Everyone looks over at him, eyes wide. You and Brunn had let out some gasps when he even said it.

Thor looked up from his hands, scanning all of your faces. “What? It’s true.”

There’s a beat of silence, before Brunn breaks it.

“I’m so telling him you said that—“

“Brunn!”

“Oh god,” Bruce groans, rubbing his face with his hands. “I’m not involved.”

You and Loki turn to each other and laugh at your friends—well, his friends, really, but you’re hoping that you’re in the team at this point—fond and light.

“I’ll just go and start grabbing those amps from the stage,” Loki says finally, Thor and Brunn’s bickering slowly becoming a background noise. Loki turns to look at you. “If you’d like you can sit and watch Thor and Brunnhilde go at each other, or help. Whichever you’d like, darling.”

The nickname Loki uses absolutely has your face heating again, and you nod, taking a breath to try and recover from the term.

“I’ll, uh,” you start, rubbing your hands together. Your brain is going a few miles per minute. “How can I help?”

Luckily for you, Loki and Bruce are quick to put you to work, taking you out on the stage and showing you how to detach their amps from the pub’s stage set up with ease. You’re in charge of making sure all the wires for them are detached and in your arms to be relayed back to Brunn and Thor in the back.

It’s a relatively easy job, and you’re enjoying watching Bruce and Loki interact a bit more for yourself. Really, you’re happy to see all of them interact more closely than at your job. You can feel how tight they are together as a group, and it makes you feel like you’re intruding slightly.

And yet, they still welcome you with open arms anyways.

“We should be good! Just meet us out back, my car’s parked there!” Bruce shouts to you as you’re coming up the ramp. “We need someone to spot us when we pick up the amp!”

“Got it!” You call back, disappearing back behind the curtain after walking through the wings, Thor and Brunn back to silently raveling the wires you’ve brought them.

It’s not long before you’re back out in the back lot. You can see Bruce’s car just like he said. You can also pick out your car from the small smattering of patrons still in the pub. The night has gotten a bit chilly, unfortunately for you. You’ll simply have to make do.

“Incoming!” Loki shouts, getting your attention as you’re quick to be sure you’re out of his way in the doorway. The amp wheels are loud as Loki continues to speak to his bandmate over the noise. “Bruce, is your trunk clean finally?”

“Yes sir!”

You can’t hide your giggling at their conversation before Loki and Bruce are out with two of the four amps from the stage.

“Okay, so me and Bruce will lift, just be sure we don’t magically drop it, alright?” Loki explains standing straight to shake out his hands and arms and stretching them slightly. You nod obediently, refraining from making the magic joke you were thinking about.

Loki gives you a smile and a nod back before he and Bruce are on either side of one of the two amps, counting to three and positioning their hands on the bottom edges to grip and lifting.

And you want to say you’re paying attention on the amp, but you’re so not.

Loki’s ripped. You’ve noticed his biceps before, sure, but this? In action? His biceps are bulging just like Bruce’s as they lift the large amp together before it’s safe in Bruce’s trunk and you’re rolling the next one over when Bruce asks. You’re thankful for the show Loki’s arms are giving you as the second amp of the night is stacked perfectly in Bruce’s trunk.

The three of you quietly cheer before the process is repeated, and you try to hide how you’re drooling over the way Loki’s arms look for a second time. Thank god your help wasn’t actually needed. You don’t think you’d be able to make it in time before an amp actually broke.

Soon enough, Bruce’s car is packed with most of their instruments, and all the wiring before The Revengers and you are piling back out into the main lobby of The Queen’s Pub.

“Brian!” Brunn shouts in a sing-song voice, Thor immediately shouting a no! and rushing from the back to stop her from her next words. You and Loki stay back as Bruce comes in just after the two of you.

You notice the pub is significantly empty, and turn to Loki for questioning.

“The pub usually closes around this time on Saturdays,” he explains easily. “Brian lets us stay back almost always. Usually he makes us move the chairs and tables back for him so the staff can focus more so on cleaning. Y’know, since Saturdays are always packed.”

You snort, looking over at Loki as your linked hands swing between the two of you. “Really? I would have no clue. Seemed super empty.”

“Oh, stop it,” Loki responds, gently giggling and nudging you before you’re glancing at the clock that hangs just above the LEDs of the bar that Brian is currently paused cleaning to talk with Brunn.

10:05 pm. Jesus Christ.

You’ve basically spent all day here.

“Oh, I didn’t even know it was ten,” you say suddenly hand—unfortunately—letting go of Loki’s to move to the your back pocket of your jeans to check your phone. You’ve checked it periodically through the night, and there wasn’t many notifications worth your time besides a bunch of texts from Helen. “Damn..”

“Do you need to get going?” Loki asks, gently grabbing your arm and stopping the two of you from walking as you look at your phone screen. You feel Bruce walk around the two of you with a soft apology. “I didn’t ask if you worked tomorrow, I’m sorry—“

“No, no, you’re so okay,” you say, looking up at Loki with a grin as you pocket your phone. “I just didn’t expect it to be ten, I have work around noon.”

Loki mirrors your smile, and you don’t notice the four pairs of eyes on you from the bar as he takes a breath. “Well, you should get home then, shouldn’t you?”

You mimic his breath, which only causes him to chuckle. “Unfortunately.”

“Well, allow me to walk you to your car? The more fun way, of course,” Loki teases, holding his arm out for you to hook your own with his. You’re quick to playfully courtesy and lock arms, laughing with him as he guides you back through the stage door just like earlier in the night, making small talk with each other.

You’re tired, but you really don’t want this night to end. Loki’s been so lovely. Everything has been so lovely. From the dancing in the audience together to watching Loki shred on his guitar—you’ll be thinking about that for who knows how long.

Eventually when you both get outside, you switch from locked arms to holding hands one last time. You ask him about the tiny things from the show tonight now, what color is his nail polish, really. Do they coordinate outfits? What were they laughing about as he played the opening chords?

“Well, Brunn was pointing out something Brian was doing,” Loki answers. “The nail polish is some matte oil spill color, it was laying around when we were rehearsing and Brunn insisted, Brunn also forces us to coordinate if need be, because Thor will show up in the worst outfit imaginable if you let him.”

You’re laughing as the two of you are finally getting close to your car. “No! That’s so sad. Thor has fashion—“

“Absolutely not!” Loki exclaims as he lets you start to guide him. “As his brother, I am offended. He’s not fashionable. At all. Whatsoever.”

You’re still giggling before you see some of your little bumper stickers on the back trunk of your car, smiling sadly. You feel Loki gripping your hand a little tighter and so you turn around before shuffling to lean against your trunk.

“This is me,” you say finally, refraining from showing your true emotion. “Thank you for finally getting me to a show.”

“Thank you for coming,” Loki replies, smiling as his thumb rubs over your knuckles comfortingly. “I’m glad you enjoyed it.”

“It was the most fun I’ve had in a while, I’ll admit,” you shuffle on your feet momentarily, looking down at your feet to watch as you toe some asphalt before looking back up at Loki.

Loki’s giving you this…look. You’re not sure what look it is—actually, it seems to be something fond like how he was when he was watching his friends and brother interact—but it’s giving you this weird tug in your stomach. Almost like you just want to kiss him which, to you, is a new and exciting feeling.

“Well that just means we’ll have to bring you out here again then, doesn’t it?” Loki questions smoothly, a small smirk quirking at the corner of his lips.

You’re grinning at those words, the offer to return here could genuinely make you squeal with where this future with him could be headed.

“Absolutely,” you say, trying not to bounce on your toes as you get off of your trunk, starting to walk backwards to your driver’s side, tugging Loki with you. “Just tell me about the next gig, and I’ll absolutely be there. For the Cheerful Rangers, of course.”

Loki scoffs and places a hand on his chest as he allows you to tug him. “Wow. They stole the show tonight for you? And I thought you were here for me.”

You laugh, finally dropping Loki’s hand to fish around in your pockets to try and grab your car keys in the slowest fashion as possible. Your skin feels arm knowing his gaze is on you before you reply.

“You’re a mere bonus, rockstar.” You like the way the nickname sounds, you realize. It fit Loki both on and off the stage a little too perfectly, especially after tonight. “I’ll catch you later?”

“Catch you later,” Loki confirms gently, his hands moving to his back pockets. “Get home safe, yeah?”

“I can try, just for you.” You’re almost back tracking, but Loki’s smiling and slowly stepping back from where you stand near your drivers side door.

“Thank you,” he replies before giving a final goodbye. You pout playfully, shouting a last goodbye back before you’re getting in your car and Loki’s headed back into the building.

Your drive home is a blur in the best way possible. For some not-date-date, it definitely felt like a date for your very tiny book. The radio doesn’t have any decent music playing, which is unfortunate. As you’re at a red light, you realize that maybe one day you’ll hear Loki on the radio. With Brunn, Bruce, and Thor. And that makes you giddy endlessly for them. They deserved it.

The rest of your drive you’re thinking about the performance, Loki’s hand in yours, the way Loki played, and it isn’t until you get home that you realize you never exchanged god damn numbers.

“Fuck!” You exclaim into your empty apartment, groaning as your keys fly to your small hall table near your door, hands pressing to your eyes out of annoyance.

GUESS WHAT?

Yesterday,I finished RWRB!!! How can I even start to describe my love for this book? Hmmm I don’t think that I can put it in words but I’ll say whatI loved about it and by that,well,It’s pretty much everything. All the characters(except Philip the homophobic bitch,Richards the coward and um the Queen) were just so amazing and it was refreshing(yeah refreshing,don’t criticize me for choosing this word) to read about them and I learned so much from each one and there’s no doubt that they inspired in many ways.Tho I love all of them immensely,Henry and Alex hold a special place in my heart.The way Henry and Alex grew up through the book and let themselves to truly be the people they are at the end even after all the consequences they were ready to live with left me happy and hopeful.But I think that Alex and Henry couldn’t have been themselves one day in front of the whole world if they did not choosed to know each other and fall in love through this journey.Its beautiful to see how Alex who never expected to bond with Henry,was so grateful that he had the chance to do so.And there’s Henry who for so long,he had to pretend that he was someone else and live a life that was painfully untrue and unfair to his own feelings but he still managed to be the kindest and generous person that he could be and that,made my heart break but proud.I love them and lemme tell u,they are one of the most power couple and even THE power couple that u could possibly hope for. I love this two and If I want to find comfort,I’ll always look up to re-read some scenes with them(😏😎💕).What else?Ohh it was gracefully written and the way the characters expressed themselves was really relatable and I could see myself in them.There’s the plot who was entertaining and I just adored the aesthetic of this book(I mean the places that we saw etc).The whole story captivated me.RWRB is without a doubt one of my favourite books that I’ll eternally recommend(maybe not to my parents hehe cuz of the um spicy scenes👉🏼👈🏼,u know?).That’s pretty much that,I could talk about RWRB more but I know it will end up be a novel just about how much I LOVED IT. I can’t wait to read One last stop by the same author who made me feel countless of emotions in just one book.

P-S: Expect to see me posting(poems and the wonderful Chia already helped me giving me some ideas,aesthetics,drawings etc and maybe even a fic? Or a few?I’ll see). Alsooo,I’ll start SOA so lemme tell u if someone doesn’t mind to share my thoughts about this one and wish me luck for all the pain that I’ll be going through this one too).Why do I like pain so much?

ok let’s do this right i’m gonna try with a coherent answer—

hii bestie!! i’m fine and honestly now i’m even better because this ask just made my day and i read it twice because how could i not?? it’s literally exactly all i thought when i finished the book and i still think about all this 24/7, even after a month. this book is literally everything and it just stays in your veins.

and, honestly, you chose the perfect word. refreshing it’s exactly what this book is. except for those three horrible unnameable characters, all the characters were really refreshing and the relationships between them were so good and healthy that it was really refreshing. i loved alex and henry’s relationship, how it was developed and how it was built, it was so wholesome and it was definitely refreshing (yes now i clearly can’t stop using this word) to see so much communication and all this getting to really know each other inside out. and i totally agree, without knowing each other so well their story wouldn’t have been the same, they wouldn’t be so aware and so sure about going public and taking all the risks and consequences of that.

and their growth, both as individuals and as a couple, is amazing. the way alex is grateful to have met henry and how he learns to know himself better thanks to henry and how he learns to steady himself and slow down and the way henry learns to accept himself and learns that he deserves happiness, all of that without ever losing his kindness and his ability to love beyond measure even after years of being forced in the dark, always makes me emotional. they truly have some of the best character development i’ve ever seen, and it’s subtle and not rushed, and at the same time it’s so visible and tangible.

they’re definitely THE power couple and also THE comfort couple. seriously half of their scenes are the softest thing ever and they’re perfect for every mood. like, want to feel happy and laugh? reread the great turkey calamity or the karaoke scene. want to feel that sort of calm and soothing happiness? reread the scene at the beekman or alex’s speech at the end. want to get some serotonin? reread all their phone calls, email and texts. there are literally so many scenes i reread almost on a daily basis.

and i totally agree, the book was amazingly written, i loved the sceneries and even tho all these characters are probably the least relatable characters ever —considering one is a prince, one is the son of a president and the others are also involved in these spaces — they all end up being incredibly relatable, so much more than a lot of other characters i’ve read about. june and nora are also characters i loved so much because they were so relatable and so real.

rwrb is definitely one of my favorite books ever too and i can’t wait to read one last stop, from what i’ve heard so far it’s just as amazing!!

Louis was smitten from the moment Harry had arrived a month ago. Long, curly hair which he mostly keeps up in a bun, and a sinfully deep voice. Cheeky too. Louis likes that the best. He gives good banter and laughs at Louis’ dumb jokes, adding his own woeful puns. When Louis had asked him why he was in this godforsaken dust bowl, he’d said something about a ground crew traineeship and fulfilling his visa requirements while experiencing the real Australia. Louis had been momentarily distracted by Harry’s plush, red-bitten lips so the salient details may have washed over him.

OR Drinking beer in a blow-up pool, in a backyard, in stupidly hot temperatures, in outback Australia should be ridiculous, and it would be, if Louis didn't have a curly-haired workmate to keep him company.

Whisper The Wind (36k)

Louis’ father has political ambitions and decides it’s time for Louis to step up as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Louis thinks this is a monumentally stupid idea. After storming off in a rage he has a chance meeting with a tall, dark, curly haired stranger. A technical glitch with their shared elevator finds Louis spending twenty minutes with the most intriguing man he’s ever met. Unfortunately the man is leaving London the very next day and moving to Australia to work at his mates surf school. Timing, as they say, can fuck right off.

Fast forward three years and Louis is miserable, a shadow of the man he once was, working in his father’s company, and hating every moment. At his thirtieth birthday party, surrounded by people he doesn’t know or doesn’t like, he decides to throw it all in and follow the impossible dream. Happiness, a fulfilling life, and someone to love. The question is, will that dream be found ten thousand miles away on a sandy beach, with a curly headed surfer dude?

Or the one where Louis rides an elevator that may change his life forever, Harry loves the ocean but is a terrible surfer, Liam proves not all heroes wear capes, and Niall might actually have all the answers.

The Clock Strikes Christmas (10k)

The clock ticks over to midnight and Niall strikes the match, lighting the candle and looking expectantly at Louis. “Time to make all your dreams come true. What’s your birthday wish Tommo?”

Louis stares into the flame and wonders. Closing his eyes, he thinks of cold winter nights curled up by the fire, driving along country roads holding hands across the console, laughter and warmth and a sense of belonging. An image creeps into his mind, blurry and shimmering. Curls, green eyes, milky white skin. Louis sucks in a deep breath, opens his eyes and blows.

The lights in the pub go out and the music stops, time seems to be teetering on the edge of something, like the crest of a roller coaster before the fall.

Then the pub surges back to life. “Sorry about that folks! Damn storm must be coming.” The bartender shouts out.

Niall is staring at him, mouth agape, before regaining his composure. “Must’ve been a helluva wish Tommo.”

Louis is a little stunned himself, but blinks out of it and laughs. “Yeah, must’ve been.”

OR the one where Louis needs someone to love, Harry needs a miracle, and sometimes, wishes really do come true

The Prince Of Light (35k)

Louis was found abandoned at a hospital at six months old and adopted by an older couple who raised him. Now twenty, he studies by night and by day works as a live-in au pair for a family with three little girls. One of the girls, Holly, swears there is a Garden Fairy coming and eating treats she leaves out in the cubby house each night.

When the family goes away for a two week holiday, Louis is secretly tasked with feeding the Fairy. While laying out the food one night he falls from the cubby house and is found by Harry. Harry is different and Louis is fascinated. But as Louis learns how different Harry really is, he discovers his own true home and a very surprising past he never knew.

Cue badgers, bananas and cookies, soulmates, a whole other world, and a future he’d never imagined.

Clouds On Curtis (9.6k)

A wave of comfort sweeps over Louis like a blanket as he allows himself a moment to imagine the possibilities. His past failures and disappointments feel like they are ebbing away, like shackles falling from his limbs. The burdens he's been bearing and the guilt he’s been carrying slipping away into the ground with each step he takes.

Harry reaches for the door and pauses, holding the handle he turns to face Louis.

“Are you ready for the adventure to begin?” Harry looks at him with hope in his eyes, dimple cratering in his left cheek.

“Absolutely, I’m all yours.” Louis says, wide smile breaking across his face, feeling the crinkles appear at the corners of his eyes.

In that moment he is sure of it. Surer than he's been about anything for years. This is exactly where he’s supposed to be. This is his second chance.

Or the one where Louis is a chef who is looking for a chance to start over, Harry’s restaurant needs the right chef to make his dream come to life, Niall is a cook who desperately wants to be a chef, and Liam just wants to be happy. Together, can they turn their dreams into reality?

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

- Levi thinks your hair is the most beautiful part of you, the color complements your skin perfectly, the texture and the softness is something he could never get over. Loves the smell of your shampoo! (Has been one to sneak a sniff or two lol)

- He admires your consistency, Levi doesn't really care for change, mostly your consistency of being there for him and just being yourself is what makes really makes him fanboy over you uwu lol

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

- Poor boy doesn't know what to do when you cry

- Will offer to play games or any activity you like to do (even if he doesn't like it) to make you get your mind off whatever has you in destress

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

- I don’t think Levi ever really wanted kids or ever seriously thought about it to be honest

- He thought he would spend all his days with his waifu

- But you opened his eyes to favor the 3D world more and although he still is kinda iffy about kids, later in your relationship he starts to become fond of the idea of you and him have a child

- Just a family of the three of you and henry

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

- It’s pretty equal in you relationship

- But Levi can be quite childish at times making you have to take charge

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

- Can you say stubborn

- Doesn't like admitting he’s wrong

- Pouty boy for sure

- But if he really hurt you then he’ll try and make it up to you by getting your favorite snack and cuddle with you (kinda like a white flag)

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

- I don't think Levi realizes how much you bring to him till one night you two got into a (admittedly petty) argument that he might have taken a bit far and you gave him the silent treatment. All was good for the first few hours but once it trickled to the night, you were getting ready for bed, went to your room, and locked the door so he couldn't get in. He texted you and you left it on read.

For the rest of the night Levi stayed up wondering, “Will they ever talk to me again?” “Are they going to break up with me?” “They’re my normie, what do I do now?”

After that night that seemed to drag on for an millenia came to an end. He ran down to the dinning table to see you eat breakfast and damn near fell to his knees before he stopped, “Y/n… I’m sorry for yesterday!... Will you … please forgive me?”

You obviously accepted, not only because you missed talking to him but, the way he is apologizing and practically begging you made you realize how much Levi really did love you. Levi had always had an issue apologizing, not because he doesn’t think he can be wrong but because it would be him having to put his pride down and admit that he was.

When you accepted Levi felt a weight come off his shoulders, and will remember this feeling of emptiness without you.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide form their s/o? Or do they share everything?

- Levi can't really lie to you, might not admit somethings right away in fear of embarrassment

I nspired - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

- You kinda showed Levi that he doesn’t need to be insecure in your relationship and that jealousy, although difficult for him to overcome sometimes, isn’t necessary because he is everything you need and he doesn’t have to be the ‘perfect’ guy to be perfect to you.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

- He is the avatar of Envy

- Asking if Levi gets jealous is like wondering if a pen will hit the ground once you drop it

- He’s more of a grumpy boy than an aggressor

- Will be annoyed and might even give you cold shoulder for a little, but that never lasts for too long

- Way to resolve it? Cuddles and telling him he’s the only one you want and that the rest are all normies to you

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

- First kiss was fine but a bit nerve wracking and awkward, I mean levi doesn't go out kissing normies everyday

- Levi is a decent kiss once he gets used to touching you, it’s just those first few handfuls that were a bit clumsy and coy

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

- In true Tsundere fashion he just kinda blurts it out like you made him say it and is upset about it

- He is a little blushy boy, talk about #TomatoStatus

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

- The only person he wanted in his life was his beloved Ruri-chan

- But then you came around and realized that a normie like you wasn't too bad and that you slowly began to not just be a normie at all but quite the opposite (was that too cheesy, eh heck it this is a fluff HC)

- Levi never thought of marriage before, but one day it kinda hit him that he wouldn’t want a life without you in it.

- Asking you to marry him was, like most emotional things with him, a bit jumbled and a lot of blushing.

- Your marriage with Levi is goofy and anime filled, had some obvious bumps in the road with a few run ins with bouts of jealousy and petty fights, but you’re both working on finding a middle that works for you two.

N icknames - What do they call their s/o?

- Nicknames he calls you: Y/n, | Y/n-chan, | (i don't see him using a lot of nicknames) Maybe Princess/Prince (When being really loving) |

- Pretty obvious to others

- He is more generous (as generous as levi can be) to you than anyone else

- Gets blushy and denies it when his brothers call him out for it

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o on front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

- A very flustered boy if you randomly kiss him in public

- Hand holding is fine but he would prefer if you kept the kissing to a minimal/ on the cheek when around others

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship?

- A random skill that Leviathan possesses that is beneficial to your relationship is his inventiveness. This shows when he’s making his cosplays and he has to make or improvise a piece of his costume or when you two spend a day in for a date or little dates in general.

R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

- Levi is more awkward than anything

- If he tries to be romantic it never works out really, gets flustered and stumbles

- So he doesn't try to be romantic just tries to make you happy and feel special

S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

- Levi tries to support you like you do for him.

- Although it can be tricky for him cause its sorta a new thing for him still

- But will root for you the best he can :3

T hrill - Do they need to try new things to spice out their relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

- Levi really prefers a routine

- Might try new things but would have to think about it and have a couple conversations about it.

- In all honesty Levi never thought he would really be in a relationship, whether it was another demon or a normie like you.

- A comparison would be to say that you and Henry are on the same level of importance (maybe even a little more but he would never tell Henry that)

- Levi and you took a trip to the human world to attend a much anticipated anime convention.

And in true convention fashion you and Levi obviously cosplayed, and Levi went as the Lord of Shadows for his favorite series TSL and you partnered him dressed as a young maiden.

The whole day was filled with pictures and visiting all the different booths. As the hours went on the space in your arms got taken up with anime paraphernalia.

As the end of the day rolls around you and Levi stop by a little cafe to rest and get some food and don’t forget the bubble tea

When you get home you unpack and open all the goodies you two collected over the day and display them nicely in the room.

After you are all undone and ready for bed you spend the time before sleep takes over your body, tangled in each other reminiscing on the day.

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

- Yes, but usually only in private settings

- Likes to lay with you and watch anime together

- Loves when you comb your fingers through his hair &/or give him scalp massages

Y earning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?

- Not always well, but having Henry helps when the loneliness sets in a little

- Messages you all the time

Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

- You are something special to Levi, someone he never thought he would find

- He doesn’t want to lose you anytime soon, but if you wished to part ways he wouldn’t try to convince you otherwise. Not because he wouldn’t want you to stay with him but because he wouldn’t want to feel like a burden to you and make you stay if you don’t want to.

you guys would've met a long time ago, he defended you when Henry Bowers tried to take your animal crackers in kindergarten

and ever since then you two were thick as thieves

being the closest friends out of the entire Losers club

you started to get feelings for him in sixth grade...

it was one of the many nights when he had come over to your house in the late hours of the night due to his mother drinking again or another family issue

you had stayed up and let him rant to you, holding his hand in yours and gently brushing your thumb against his knuckles as he tried to keep his tears at bay

he hated crying in front of you more than anyone

after he had gotten everything out he was exhausted

he fell asleep right away as you were finding extra pillows

still dressed in his jean shorts and stupid hawaiian shirt

you had seen it many time before but this time it triggered something in you and you knew you were fucked

you not being able to hide your feeling for him and told him two weeks later

Richie is the best dad imaginable, despite his not so similar upbringing, going as far as to play dress up and having tea parties with his little girl

living in a cute apartment together in new york, where Richie worked as a radio host for one of the biggest stations in the country

your loves being complete and everything was just how it was supposed to be finally

well, that is until you guys get the phone call from your childhood friend Mike

when IT comes back Richie insists you don't come with him back to Derry, saying that you had to go watch the Annie while he was away

you gave up after a long few days of fighting over it

never being able to sleep since whenever you closed your eyes all you could see was that stupid clown hurting your husband

always keeping Annie close to you all the time and never letting her leave your sight, even though you no longer lived in Derry, or Maine even and there was technically no threat towards you guys

when he gets home you've never been happier in your life

taking Annie to the airport to pick him up and running into his arms when you finally see him, your little girl in your arms as well

"It's over now, it's gone for good this time"

you guys grow old together, and are both really happy and love to recall useless memories from when you were children and everything turns out great

wow honestly I'm crying at this point

you guys are just so damn perfect and everything is perfect I love this

Tell us about your first visit to Stan's Rollercade?

“Stan’s Rollercade, yeah! Though perhaps before I talk about my first time there, I might as well describe the place for those who aren’t familiar:

Imagine the best arcade you’ve ever seen– chock full of games from Dance Dance Revolution to Pac-Man and plastered with neon lights and posters that look like they were pulled fresh and crisp from the 80’s and 90’s. Then add a rollerskating rink and the best cheap pizza in walking distance from Danvers U, and you’ve got Stan’s Rollercade. It’s a go-to locale in Centrum City for the college-aged crowd. The owner’s pretty chill too– I helped him out when Henry almost wrecked the place while showing off, and now he lets me and the Squad come in and use the party rooms for hangouts, given that they’re not already booked. And free skate rentals too. It’s a nice deal.

They hold a lot of events throughout the year, and one of those is an annual Halloween party. Roller skates and costumes, what could go wrong, right? Well, back during our freshman year– before either of us got our powers– Hannah and I decided to go, seeing as we didn’t really have anything better to do. We ended up going as some generic fantasy characters: Hannah was a witch/wizard/general magic-y person, and I went for a more adventurer/warrior look, complete with a foam sword prop from one of my favorite games. We’d heard about Stan’s before, but neither of us had actually picked ourselves up to go, so we didn’t really know what to expect until we actually got there.

Man, was it amazing.

I think we ended up trying pretty much every game in the place– not that we earned enough tickets to get any of the big prizes, though I’ve always had a soft spot for the small figures and mood rings you can get off the 50 ticket shelf. We ordered a whole pizza for ourselves with the expectation of having leftovers… but ended up eating all of it. The whole thing.

Then there was karaoke.

It was one of the things that was specific to the party– they had a mock stage set up, and one of those stereos that comes with a whole bunch of pre-loaded karaoke songs. And, well, Hannah talked me into doing one. Not on my own, though– I was very much the nervous type when it came to drawing the attention of a crowd before I started doing hero stuff. Still am, to some extent, but the mask helps for in-costume stuff. But back to the moment. Long story short, Hannah and I ended up doing a duet together, and ended up picking “Accidentally in Love”. Sure, yeah, the connotation there is pretty apparent considering that Han and I are dating now, but honestly? We picked it because of Shrek. We literally said ‘Hey, that’s the song from the beginning of Shrek 2!’ and went with it. So we got up on stage, and the song started up. She took the first bit, I took the few lines after that, and then… well, I think I must have tapped into some latent feral energy or something, because the two of us went ham.

Once the song wrapped up, we both had to stand there for a moment to catch our breath. And you know? I didn’t really know how to think about it back then, and I sure didn’t address it for a while, but… I think that might’ve been the moment I fell in love with her.

And that’s pretty much what happened– the party wrapped up shortly after, and we headed back to campus with the rest of the college crowd. Stan’s has been one of our go-to hangouts pretty much ever since.”

Review Roundup - February 2018 Week 1

Hello, my loves!! My name is Jace (aka Felicity B), and this is your Review Roundup for Week 1 of February 2018!!

So... Last Friday, I mentioned making some changes to my Review Roundup format. The reasoning being that as I've expanded my network of Korean music channels, It's become very clear to me that it's too difficult for me to write a substantial review of 25+ videos every week without each review mixing into the last. I've also come to realize that I can't include *every* song I find that happens to be in Korean, and that's fine!! Most songs are either ballads or OST ballads (which are even worse), and it's just not worth my time to flog those at you guys.

So, I'm gonna try to explain this to y'all as best as I can. It sounds more complicated than it is in practice, but I wanna give y'all an idea of what's going on.

I'm gonna present to you all the playlist of songs for the week. From there, you'll see a new segment called the Titacular Ten. Yes, I am aware "titacular" is not a word, but catch me not givin' a fuck in these streets. These guys are songs I enjoyed, but didn't like enough to put in the Fabulous Five. They'll be rated (*not* reviewed) according to my replayability scale.

And speaking of my rating scale, I've decided to add a new category called KoKoNotABop (because nothing brings me joy more than pissing off the stans of my favorite K-Pop group). This sits in between Conditional Replay and Trash Bomb with Shuffle Bait. I decided to add KoKoNotABop, because there wasn't really anything for those songs that weren't complete Trash Bombs, but fell short. If you guys can believe it, this was the type of song I loved during my J-Pop days. Oh boy, does this take me back.

And yes, I do realize this song is literally a decade old. There are idols active in the industry that this song is older than. But I'm gonna need y'all to bring me some freshly prepared fucks to care.

The children deserve to know about No Brain!!

Crush On Me (sorry, that title is too long to be typing over and over) is a punk track that is fun, personified. Every time I queue up the song to play, I just wanna dance the night away~ have my own little party, dancing and singing along. And don't think that you can get away from this song unscathed, cause the hook (neon naege banhaesseo) will stick itself in your brain and torment you till you're singing along like a good little Baby Borgie.

No Brain is a band that I want every single NuGen K-Pop (2014/2015) fan to get into. Every single one of you. Cause while this band is hella talented (they've literally been in the game for twenty years), they don't write music to show it off. They write music because they fucking love it. And that's the best kind, sis. I could clock this song for a lot of things I'd clock a modern K-Pop song for, but I won't because this song is entirely too fun to be picked apart like a science experiment.

My main reason for including Crush On You was that I love how fun this song is, BUT!! I also wanted an excuse to include No Brain's collab stage with Lovelyz from the 2017 MBC Year End Song Festival.

Now *that* was a oollab stage, ladies.

No Gravity (Yoon Mi Rae)

Yoon MiRae is the OG Korean Female Rapper.

That's not my bias speaking (although it's definitely showing), I've never heard anyone speak ill of Mirae. NEVAH!! And I mean, why would they want to!?!?! She's magical. I literally can't say enough nice things about her.

I literally zone in on her and don't pay anyone else any mind when she's in a song. Whenever she's gracious enough to give us a solo, my wigs bow in reverence to her. I just love this woman so much. She can do no wrong in my book.

Gravity is a pre-release track from Mirae's upcoming Korean album. We have no word on what it's called or when it's dropping, but I already know it's amazing. Gravity is a midtempo rap ballad, and I usually find these cheesy af, but I really like Mirae's take on it. For those of you who've been YMR stans for a while, the vocals are arranged in Mirae's typical fashion - hard hitting rap verses, brackted in by Smoove™ vocals.

Yes, Mirae is the one who has your rap fave givin' Soulful Vocals™.

Gravity is just so nice, you guys. I don't know what it is about these Korean acts dropping really hopeful and healing tracks this year, but I want it to continue. These types of midtempos are usually reserved for Bad Days™, but I lowkey wanna listen to Gravity all the time. There's enough groove that it doesn't drag my mood down if I'm feelin' good, but at the same time, the uplifting vibe is great for everything kinda sucks.

Off Topic, but if y'all haven't heard Mirae's Black Happiness, I urge you!! It's S U C H a good song!! That's a song that's for the worst of days, sis.

Free Somebody (Luna of f(x) x HEDA)

I really do not understand what the point of this release was. Can someone from SM DM me on Twitter and explain. Cause sis, this shit made no sense to me.

Firstly, congratulations to Ms HEDA are in order!! If you weren't aware (like me), everysing (a Korean karaoke company) and Genie Music (SM Entertainment's distributor) ran a contest called Battle Singer to select a new feature vocalist for an upcoming Station release. Why SM didn't give her her own Station track, I'm not sure, but I rather liked the way she sounded here. So, I can't be too mad.

Wha I *am* mad at, however, is why SM decided to have Luna and HEDA do karaoke on one of the unused sets of Younha's Parade video, and releasing that shit as a single. Y'all couldn't call in nobody to produce these vocals?!?!?! Every single one of y'all vocal producers were busy?!?!?!

I'm just so over SMSTATION releases varying in quality and effort spent. Some weeks, SM puts in the time and effort to rock that shit out, but then we also get lazy as fuck all releases like these. And I get it, there was a contest attached to this and we don't know if SM is gonna pull Ms HEDA back in for a round 2. I'm hoping they do, but SM is fickle. I just wish this release was up to the standard as Luna and Amber's Lower. Some of y'all thought that song was dry af, but at least the video was dynamic.

The Fabulous Five

5. Mystery (Jalhyejun)

Mystery sounds like Lim Kim and Neon Bunny decided to team up for a song. They didn't, but if they ever did, I'd need at least three albums worth of material from it.

Mystery is a very cutesy synthrock song. It lowkey reminds me of something Puffy AmiYumi would do 2003/2004, but it mostly sounds like a bonus track on Neon Bunny's Seoulite. Not a bad thing; Puffy AmiYumi were literally my gateway into J-Pop fifteen years ago (I still listen to them), and Seoulite is one of the best Korean albums of 2011.

Mystery sounds like it belongs in a kids' show, and that's exactly why I like it. It's not anything crazy energetic, but it's really fun and every time I listen to it, it puts the biggest smile on my face. And because it isn't super in your face, you could also use it very peppy background music.

We love a versatile queen, sis.

4. To Do List (Kim Hyorin)

Okay, sis... I was a lil nervous when I heard the teasers for this. Too many of my faves been droppin' ballads as digital singles, and then disappearing into the ether. Hyorin is my girl, but I will *always* put the music first.

Fortunately,I had nothing to worry about; Hyorin did with To Do List what Henry couldn't do with Monster. Give me an engaging ballad.

Hyorin's To Do List is the same flavor of stripped back ballad as Henry's Monster; it's just Hyorin's sweet vocals layered over a clean electric guitar. It's just that she can emote with her voice and is an overall better vocalist.

I'm finding that I really enjoying this style of ballad. There's just an unexpected element to having a song be just electric guitar and vocals, ya know?!?! Like I mentioned above, I was very unsure about Hyorin making her solo debut under her own agency with a song like this, but I can see why she did it. Ballads do stupidly well in Korea, so Hyorin was catering to that market. BUT ALSO!! There's enough spunk here to keep the more adventurous crowd happy.

Of course, Hyorin could also sing me the dictionary, and I'd be like, "YASSS KWEEN!! BUILD THE CHILDREN'S VOCABULARY!! TAKE EVERY SINGLE OF MY WIGS, GODDESS!!".

So what do I know?!?!

3. Unstoppable (The Night Of Seokyo x Minju)

I normally don't include covers on this list, and I definitely wouldn't put them in the Fab Five. But y'all, this fucking cover. I really wish they covered the entire song, because it's fucking M A G I C A L

Which only makes sense, because the original is even more magical, but still...

Minju and the Night of Seokyo's Unstoppable is a cover of Lianne La Havas's 2015 song Unstoppable. I have no idea why I don't know this song or artist, because they're both magical. I already said Unstoppable was magical, but I'm gonna say it again!! This song is so good!! Can I live in the feeling this song creates?!?! I'd enjoy that a lot, sis. It's just so calm and healing, and I need that to be my energy for all of 2018.

And Ms Lianne, y'all. My wig toppled off my head the first 30 seconds of the song, because ma'am looks like a Black goddess. Can I be her when I grow up?!?!?! She looks so cool, and her music is just so nice. God, I love just Black women, you guys. They're so amazing, and they never get credit for always being ahead of the curve (as mentioned in my Nega Dola review). But I love Black women. I wouldn't be who I am today without Black women. None of us would. And I think it's time that we acknowledge that!!

So now that I've gotten that out of my system (we are unapologetically stanning Black women in 2018 and beyond, sis), let's discuss the Night of Seokyo and Minju's cover of Unstoppable. Absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking. I felt like I was floating. I usually don't care for covers, because 90% of them fall into two categories - a) indistinct from the original because they do everything the original does and b) complete and total trash because they did Too Much™ when reinterpretting it. But Minju and the Night of Seokyo strike the perfect balance - the rearrangement for piano and vocal does Just Enough™ to stand out on it's own without feeling like it's fucked up the vibe of the song.

I really should have just done a standalone review of this cover, since I *clearly* have so much so say on it, but it's just so good. A very big thank you to my girl sunnysidae who found the original version for Unstoppable for me. You're the best, sis!!

2. Baby Funk (Yoo Naul of Brown Eyed Soul)

Everything about this song n video is so Black!! I'm Shook™!!

I don't know Brown Eyed Soul that well, so I really thought Naul was the Black dude in the video. Thought BES had a whole ass (well, half ass) nigga in the group!!

Baby Funk's name is a little misleading - the only thing Funky about her is that guitar line (and the beatswitch that happens towards the end). But that's fine!! We love a good throwback to the Soul tracks of the '90s!!

I really don't know what to say, but tbh I really shouldn't have to - y'all *know* I L I V E for a good RnB/Soul track. And Baby Funk definitely delivers, babies!! I'm not gonna lie, the video did put me a off little, at first; I can't help but be suspect of the dynamic here. But you know, I'm just gonna receive this blessing, and keep it pushing. Naul made a love letter to Black culture with Baby Funk, and I Appreciate™.

One of these days, I'm gonna need to learn these dudes' names. Especially since they refuse to stop terrorizing my wig collection with their group albums.

Sidenote - whoever decided to bait n switch my Black ass with them teasers, ya mama's a heaux. And I expect a full version of T.M.N.T with vocals on Case#3!! That shit is too good to just be an intro!!

When I first saw the teasers for Planetarium's CASE#1, I didn't think much of it. I thought they were an EDM label, number 1. And number 2, teasers didn't really give me anything to be excited about. But they blasted onto the scene with Blah, which had me eatin' my words a lil. I didn't include ha in my Fab Five for that week, but I was definitely paying attention to them Planetarium boys. And then came a live video of Glue (which I did put in my Fab Five), and now Blind.

Blind is a very clear 180 from the very fun, very tropical themed Blah. But catch these niggas drivin' off into the sunset with my wig, because I am B A L D T.

Blind is an intense synthpop track with a slight RnB tilt. Which is to be expect, because Planetarium is an RnB/Hip Hop label. But guys, this song is just S O G O O D. If every idol boy band in K-Pop *has* to do overly series tracks because They're Super Serious Boys Who Very Serious All The Time Seriously™, I'm gonna need them deliver tracks on this level.

Show me you have soul, not that you have abs. I've seen enough shirt lifts to last me a lifetime, kids.

On top of giving us a music video that's a continuation of Blah, the Planetarium boys have also provided us with a live showcase video that you can watch here. Be mindful that there is intense strobing effects during the chorus bits.
